Not Well Developed. It’s pretty poorly developed. Everything is random luck; no real team building or improvements actually lead to better results. You’re held to the whim of the game. I made adjustments to lines, adjusted to the opponent, trained, upgraded, traded out players, lines. Accomplished nothing. It really boils down to if the game allows you to move to the next level or not. Support is non-existent - they ignore questions, don’t answer what you ask, offer zero guidance, and never fix the bugs that are in the game.

Pretty addictive. Update: WARNING at level 50 you pay for every game outside of the regular season. That’s.99 cents for every exhibition and pro game, which racks up fast. Plus the regular season games don’t award cash or RP. They try to hook you then it’s only pay for play. If they had stuck to the original format where it was an option if you wanted to buy more games at the pro and exhibition levels they wouldn’t be losing me as a player. I am taking off two stars for the ambush, so one star overall. I have really enjoyed this app. Fun to build a team and complete. I only wish you could trade or draft players. Hence the 4 not 5 star rating. But on the whole lots of fun.

Bonus packs. I want to watch adds to get the bonus packs put it just says loading for all of them.

Review. Great game’s overall. Only issue I’d say is the ability to only play 1 season per day without paying money . As you get further into the game to there is pretty much nothing to do either . Maybe some new player packs for legend mode besides the ones you get for coins or even new missions to complete

Why the long wait?. It’s definitely a fun little game, but I think the wait time between seasons is a bit much. I think people that don’t want to pay to win should still be rewarded for patience, but it would be nice to get through more than one season attempt per day.

Awesome !!!. The only reason I didn’t give the app 5 stars is because it’s a little confusing to navigate. For instance you can transfer one team’s tokens to another. I still haven’t figured out how to do it. I also have no idea on how to activate inactive players.

Great Game, Needs A Few Additions. I got into this game after it was introduced to me by a friend. I was thoroughly enjoying it, and would be playing it daily. However, there was a hiatus where I stopped playing because I kept losing over and over again resulting in me being stuck at the same level. I came back to this game a couple months ago and am enjoying it once more, but it is just missing something. For one, I wish that players stats would transfer to their higher cards because it is difficult to get some of the achievements when my team is constantly changing, but some of the new players are just better versions of old. Also, I wish you could exchange players for cash or coins because they just become irrelevant. Lastly, I want a new mode to be introduced or something that might make use of clubs/clans to make the game more interactive with other players. Other than that, the game is enjoyable for something that you don’t have to spend a lot of time on!

A great game. It’s a great game to play if your a fan or collector that doesn’t want to spend money making their favorite team or if you want to collect all the cards

Jimmynac. This game allows you to coach and be the GM simultaneously. I actually enjoy passing time while I play this game. I only wish they gave more free games, 21 game season is good but since the games are so quick it doesn’t take much time to get through a season. To make up for that there are many extras that with building your team to have more to do, I really like the game

Fun for passing time. My only complaint about this game is that you have to wait an unreasonable amount of time to proceed to the next season or you have to pay money to get skips. Other than that it’s a fun game and I’m enjoying it a lot.

Can’t get past 1st step. Like the others, I select a favorite team, a player opens and it says “tap to continue” and I’m stuck there. I tap and nothing happens. Tried multiple times

CBS Hockey Franchise. This game is absolutely amazing. it's easy to learn and it's very fun to play. you can get the best players from any year on your team and it can become powerful and unstoppable. the one thing that could be fixed is how long it takes for a season to end because waiting is kind of boring when you don't have exhibition or pro games.

Game is great but micro-feezes when I press anything. This game should be 5 stars, but every single time I try to press a button, the screen goes black for 5-20 seconds, making it very difficult to play. Sometimes I have to repress the button in the game to try to get the action to work again. I have an iPhone 6, so I hope it isn't a problem with my phone.

Great game. Game is great but a few minor tweaks can be made. For starters, season times need to be shorter to maybe 10 to 12 hours tops. Another tweak is having some kind of booster pack if you don't qualify to level up. This way here an owner can either get training points or extra rep points or even cash to help with training their team. Finally, bring back bonuses for achieving goals in a season like you had in Franchise Football 2016.

Love it. Being an avid hockey fan this game is amazing. Teaches you things about players you otherwise wouldn’t know.

Swifty350. The game is addictive and fun. I agree that getting stuck and missing the playoffs due to not wanting to pay 7$ every time makes it feel slow. I don’t mind paying for extras but I don’t like stopping my playoffs for it. Also a more minute breakdown of stats would be cool. Just to see what your player has done through all of the seasons and playoffs on their own screen. There are some stats but nothing broken down per player more than generic stuff and it’s not sortable. Make me pay for better cards NOT for playoffs!

Great game!. Been playing since early 2019. Doesn’t take up a lot of time and the developers are always adding cool new features to keep up your interest.

Hockey games. I don’t know why I keep having to stay on the same level because I need tokens to skip to the postseason or next level

Fun, but repetitive. Fun game, I like the training and equipment systems, and the achievements give something else to work towards other than just winning games. However, the game can get tedious due to the lack of actual involvement with playing in the game and the minimal amount of game modes. If you want a game where you are playing in the games, rather than building and managing the team, I suggest you look elsewhere. Otherwise, this game is a fun thing to check up on every now and then.

Hockey. I really like this game. But there are some things that I don’t really like about it. I wish that you didn’t have to wait so long for the playoffs.

THIS IS MY FAVORITE APP but I would like to point out…. This is my favorite app on apple. I love how logging in every day you get prizes for your team. It’s a a great hockey app in general. The only thing is I think it would be cool to see if you could decide what goalie will be in net each game. For example for a season game I could chose if I wanted to use Fleury instead of like Tunka Rask, or like the opposite for another game (sorry for the bad spelling btw) but yeah would recommend

Still play daily after 2 years. Great game, still playing daily after 2 years. The developers are super helpful and involved if there is ever an issue.

Go Flyers. If you want to actually play games, this isn’t for you. It’s a team building game so if you’ve always fancied yourself a GM, it’s right up your alley. Phone games lose me after about 3-4 days usually, but I’ve played this daily for 6 months now and don’t plan on abandoning it anytime soon. The only thing I’d like to see is a Draft feature - I’m draft obsessed so that’s my only real complaint.

Very Fun and Addictive Hockey Card Game.. Very fun game that will teach you a lot about hockey while also having your own fantasy team of player cards to collect. It is by far one of the best and most fun hockey games available to play on this app. If you are new into hockey or have been a long time fan this game is for everybody and anybody else who likes to watch and play hockey. I really enjoy collecting the character cards you can play for up to 1000 seasons I believe so there is a ton of gameplay. Collect your favorite players build a team and challenge others. Win championships. Upgrade players. Train players. Collect players. 10/10 recommended for any hockey fan

Solid game but rewards very small to improve. First of, this game is fun and repetitive (but in a fun way. Been playing it for a few months and never get tired of it. The one knack I have for this game, if you plan to advance “faster” you have to pay. You can play without paying but it’s a slow build. The rewards are very small. You only win 3-5 cash per exhibition but at random. You’ll be better off getting booster packs but they range from 2-40 cash from what I seen. 5–10 coins per season game reward. But I really wished the reward system was more rewarding, fun game but as you get along, I’m as of this post, hit lvl 50, the rewards are very lackluster.

Game won’t load or open. Just downloaded this game and been trying to load it up for the last hour. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Until then I leave it at one star.

Good but.. It’s good and always fun that they have nhl players and legends but I wish it didn’t take so long to complete seasons like I only play 1 hour a day and wait the rest

Don’t waste your time on this app. The games fun for a while until you realize that it’s a total scam the wins are totally random the team could be 1/3 the level of yours and you lose 5-0 it’s happened you could spend years and years playing and upgrading but every season the team who was 1/3 is now somehow barley better than you so you lose to play a season it’s 5 minutes but then you must wait 15 hours not joking this game is a total pay to win and then once you pay you still lose to that team who is 1/3 your power this time you lose 6-0 purposely CBS makes it to where your about to pass your season but somehow for 4 seasons in a row I’ve been 1 point of of passing with my best player this game is a total waste of time please do not get sucked into the game as I have it’s totally rigged for you to lose so you pay money and lose again this is not a game worth playing for even over a month and a half.

Fun. It is fun and easy to play. My team is good in matter of days. I love it and it is addictive in a good way. I wish you could play with your team that is all I want in the future.

Chill game to pass the time. This game is a very simple hockey simulator with inaccurate hockey statistics. It doesn’t allow proper line combinations such as 4 forward lines with 3 Defensive lines, no power play lines, no penalty kill lines, etc. that’s rather disappointing but I play it because of its simplicity. If they could update one thing, I would hope they add proper hockey assists. Seems like the game was made by soccer fans since players only get one assist per goal. At the end of the day the game is random and super simple, press play and watch a 5 sec sim of numbers dialing up on screen.

Great game, needs adjustments. I am currently on season 33 with a level 58 team. This has taken a good amount of time in my opinion the season playoffs and finals should take less time to recharge or make the next season unlockable with requirements of challenges. Another flaw is within 30 minutes of playing, I've found me self unable to continue playing. Exhibitions done, pro games done and season waiting to finish. Equipment, training, coins, RP and cash gone. Not sure what solution is available but i'm addressing the problem.

Top 5 Hockey game apps but, missing something…. I’ve played a lot of hockey game apps and until I found this one, Big Win Hockey was my go to. I like that it was easy to pick up and don’t get matched up against higher level players at the start like other games. I play this everyday and have purchased a few of the bundles that are fair priced. The only thing I’ve noticed is the other franchise sports games like basketball and football have extra features that the Hockey game is missing. Adding the different game play styles and game tactics would be nice to see added to this game. I think adding a hall of fame feature where after playing like 10+ seasons with a player, they have they chance to be inducted into the hall of fame. Also, changing the franchise trophy to the Stanley cup would be awesome to see.

Good game train well. This game can let you open packs and if you get really good you could open legend packs a tip to do is train every player on your team so there same amount except the goalie make them better than most players don’t get into a series til your players are good just train

Broken after latest update.. Seems broken right now. I like the game but season challenges no longer update making it impossible to level up. EDIT: They fixed it quickly and gave out free season passes.

Fun, but.... I like this game. It’s fairly easy to get players and rewards. But what I DONT like is the games. I will be playing a team much less overall than me and I get shut out or lose badly. It’s one thing if it happens every once in a while but it happens 95% of the time. Other than that it’s pretty decent.

A little disappointed. When l first saw this game it looked amazing. I love everything about the game except when l bought it l realized you can’t play an actual game you can only simulate games. If you are looking for a game where your the gm and you don’t play games then this is the game for you.

Player cards. Could you make the goalies look like goalies and keep the rest the same. Other than that the game is great.

Very fun. The game is simple and makes wasting 20 minutes really easy. I wish there were better visuals for games but otherwise the game is great!

Not too bad. It’s fun and relatively simple. Haven’t had to pay for anything yet. Only con is I feel the rewards are a little low. Find my self being stuck for a while. Once I get stuck I get my resources back and do a quick little progress then stuck again. Will keep playing though. Also add the Vegas golden knights please.

It’s really fun... but. I love the game so much but the 1 and only thing that I would change is how you can’t watch your team play. It is not that bad at all, but it would be a tiny bit better but I would give it 4.5 stars not 4 because the 1 thing isn’t bad enough to deduct a full star, but overall really fun game! I love the cards and every thing

Cumbersome interface and boring as hell. I don’t understand why the rating of this game is so high. I have found it deceptively boring. If you like to toss a coin and click click click then this game is for you. This is only one of the many boring game built on the concept of collecting stuff, upgrading without meaning, getting useless rewards and so on. I installed and uninstalled on the same day.

Seasons are way to long. Love the game so addicting. But the seasons are so long and why not just make so once your regular season games are over you skip straight to the post season without having to pay with real money at least make that purchase coins or cash. Love the game but the makers are hungry for money.

Bugs. I like the game and all but there is a good amount of time where the app bugs out and just doesn’t even load to the sign In screen and gets stuck on the loading screen before the sign in, making it frustrating!

Great game. Great game. Perfect to see how players from any era would play together. My biggest complaint is I’d like to be able to use the best forwards regardless of what their position. Other than that the game is fantastic!!

Great game for hockey fans. Love the concept of the game, keeps you wanting to play more. Also a big fan of having new and old players in the game together.

Good but buggy. There is an issue with the requirements to pass to the next season as they sometimes give me an advantage I never earned. For example, 2 OTLs equals a win, despite me not earning the win. The game is fun though. It's simple and not impossible to understand.

More Games. About 36hrs in and I’m really enjoying the experience. Only thing keeping this from 5-Stars is the lack of games. Exhibition games should be unlimited, or at least refresh faster. Otherwise good.

A Pretty Great Game. This game is very fun it is easy at the start but then you actually are in a franchise. I have only been playing this for a couple days. When you start getting good cards it starts getting really fun. But one problem when you finish a season which takes me about 10 minutes you have to wait 15 hours until the playoffs. This game can be a pay to win game but it does not have to be. My team is really good but i didn’t pay a cent. So overall a pretty great game. I recommend this game to anyone likes a good franchise and people that play hockey.

Neat concept, poor matchmaking algorithm. The matchups are a complete toss up. Your line stats, goalie stats, etc, mean NOTHING! You will play opponents who have lines and goalies far inferior to yours, and they will beat you multiple times back to back. The game is a pay to win model for sure, but with their pathetic algorithm, a 23 overall rating team is better than a roster of legends.

Great. The game is fun and can be ever lasting. Pay to play not required, but to advance quickly then you must. Daily checklists and games to play. Player names and rosters have a pretty wide selection. Just an overall fun game.

Great game, slow pace but big commitment. Great game been playing for 2 years and in that time they have added quite a bit to keep the game fresh. The game is a low maintenance game which is good if you don’t have time to be playing every moment of the day. They give out a good amount of free gifts and is a fun game to play. It’s a commitment for sure, recommend joining the Facebook forum as it contains a lot of tips and strategies. Overall wish the time between seasons was a little less or even if there was a subscription that could lower the time between games. Highly recommend!

Fun game. Ruined by the in app purchases. Has the potential to be a great game. To bad it’s set up in a way to make it impossible to play without spending money. You play 21 games in a season plus maybe a couple playoff games. You get 1-2 player packs after a season but only if you beat 3 of 5 challenges that season. Then they make you wait 16 hours before starting the next season (but if you didn’t beat the challenges you must wait to play the same season over again) or you can buy 3 “season tokens” for $7.99 plus tax. To allow you to skip the waiting. You can download it but don’t let them trick you this is NOT A FREE game!!

This game could be better. The objectives are impossible to complete. They should not be as difficult as the game makes it. Really should be much easier to accomplish. Do better.

So much potential. The game is a fun grind! Great for patient gamers who like sports simulator games. I think the 16 hour wait is a consensus among most people who play the game, that it’s too long. Maybe if it was 6 hours, that would make it so you could get 2-3 seasons in per day. Then just continuing to update the game further from there. 1. Better filter system for finding old players and creating lines. 2. Have a list of all players you can acquire in the game and more incentives to acquire legend coins. 3. Be able to edit your name. 4. Incorporate online play where you can add friends or challenge them somehow 5. Manage so you can switch a players position or have some players play multiple positions ? Love it. I just love that game of hockey! My only complaint is that we cannot change the team name once create but you can change colours and logo. Also there is small issue when you switch between an apple account to another time… often it remain stock on the splash screen login forever. But I fou d a workaround by uninstalling the apps and install again ;)

Got something here. It’s a good game, some time limits on certain card packs could be reduced but it’s a good game none the less

Straight pucks. It’s ok to pass time it’s actually good app would be nice to play against other people in real time but again there would have to be in a different platform from this app so I say good to pass time day to day.

Pretty chill game. I play it a lil bit pretty much every day. Would be cool if playoffs were a bit closer in time for levels up in game but it’s pretty chill

Love it!. Love the game. Would only change the wait times for season and be able to sort by category in the stats section.

Losing. Why is there so much losing? It seems like every season I have the best team yet I’ll likely finish third, maybe 2nd. Sometimes my team would get off to a great start, 5-0, and then go 4-10-2 the rest of the way to miss the playoffs. Why is my team so inconsistent? I have the best available players on my team, there is no reason my team should miss the playoffs!

Vous ne pouvez pas choisir vos joueurs Ça prends 16 h par saison ( vraiment trop long ) sans compter que cela m’a déjà pris 14 aissaye pour passer une saison ( ils vous font payer 10$ pour skipper 3 saison … faites le calcul Quand vous acheter un joueur dans le Time Line vous ne pouvez pas choisir vous avez une chance sur 10 de recevoir votre joueur… mais le pire c’est qu’à chaque fois le joueur que j’avais besoin est sortit en dernier pour que j’achète plus de jetons pour acheter des joueurs …tout est fait pour vous faire dépenser !!!

Hockey lover? This is ur game. I absolutely love this game! But as much as I love it, there are some issues I would like to see addressed. One of the most pressing issues is the inability to change lines quickly and easily. A player may change his/her lines as freely as they wish, but know that in order to do so it will be a tedious task. I would like to be able to take a pre-set line and move that entire line as a whole unit to another line. As it is currently, if I wish to move let’s say my 3rd line up to the 2nd line, I have to move each player one at a time. It’s doable but tedious. You can also move an entire line as a whole before each game against your opponent, **BUT** it’s only a temporary change. The moment that particular match is over the line you changed automatically goes back to its original line. This is one of the issues I want to see addressed. Why can’t it remain permanently? Very frustrating. Another issue i would like to see changed is the length of time it takes to complete a season and start a new season. As you play a season you try to complete “season goals”, these goals are very important because in order to advance to the next season you must complete 3 of the 5 stated goals. This is important because every level you complete, you are given “rewards” for doing so. These rewards are players, money, season tokens etc... The “season tokens” in my opinion are one of if not the most valuable rewards because they allow you to skip the waiting period before you may start a new season. Each season you play 21 games. Assuming you have won enough games to advance to the *playoffs, you must endure a waiting period of 15 HOURS!!! The “SEASON TOKENS” allow you to skip that waiting period. So obviously you wish to have them. 15 hours is ridiculous. You may purchase season tokens if you so choose, however they are rather expensive. The cost is $6.99 for a pack of 3 season tokens. Ridiculous. In the past it was possible to purchase 1 token for $2.99, but that has since been removed. Why? Yup you guessed it.....$$$$$$$$ Ok so if you judge the game by this or anybody else’s review then you are letting a very enjoyable game fall by the wayside. Every game has it’s ups and downs. So like everything else in this world, you need to play it and decide for yourself. Just try to keep in mind some of these pitfalls, but I honestly believe that you will absolutely love this game because . . . Well, . . . It’s freaking awesome!

Unable to select a player. Fixed the login bug on first team pick. However why is there no fast forward button on the season? I have two ffs but can't use them?

Great game terrible parameters. Great game but when you can go undefeated in the season go through the playoffs again undefeated but you don’t advance because you defenseman didn’t get a shorthanded goal Shows someone is clueless and this is the same throughout the game settings

Horrible Game. Do not spend any cash on this game. No sense in trying to make your team stronger, you will lose to much lesser on a ridiculously consistent basis. Lost 2 straight franchise cups to teams where they shouldn’t even been close to the team I had. It’s very frustrating. At least they didn’t get any of my money.

Good but I got scammed. I was opening up a pack and I got 2 million cash but then when I went to get something from the store for 1,000 cash but I didn’t get it

Refund me. My app no longer loads my team at all. The app crashed a little over a week ago and ever since I am stuck at the login screen with a spinning circle after pressing login. I have spent money in this game (that’s the only way to have it remotely enjoyable) and I would like to have that refunded.

The game is dead. After reading the reviews, every single new player cannot go passed the loading screen and this has been happening for over a year. Even if you already downloaded it, the sim engine is so screwed up that it’s practically unplayable.

Money. They want me to pay when I’m saving up for something else I hate spending money on video games

Idle fun. Very fun game if you like hockey. Building your team is fun and easy but time consuming for the upper levels. All around a solid and relaxing game.

Don’t get this game. Horrible game. Playing a team with a 2.8 line and a 0.6 second line not even 3rd or 4th line with my lines being in the 60s I manage to lose 4-0. How on earth does that make feasible sense. I’m surprised I was able to spend even two days on this game. Absolute joke.

Fun Dynasty. Fun dynasty game but would like to see direct legends purchase like in the football dynasty.

Fun game. This game is fun and easy to play. Lots of things to work on and build your team.

Endless Loading Screen. Had just unlocked legend 4 packs and now when I log in with Face ID it gets stuck on loading page. Hope this gets fixed soon

mid. This game is a great game overall, though I don’t like when I finish a regular season I have to wait 15 hours or pay. Very upsetting.

Great Game. Honestly I thought it was a great game, just like in real hockey sometimes a worse team wins but that isn’t commonplace. The inclusion of so many hockey greats makes this an amazing game. Would recommend fr hockey fans who don’t always have a ton of time to play games

Really fun but.......... This game is one of the best NHL GM games I’ve ever played but I have a couple problems with it. 1. When you end season it doesn’t all ways give you your packs. 2. You can’t change your team name. However this doesn’t change the fact that this is a great game all is still is a 5 Star game in my opinion.

Great experience with support. Lost my team somehow and support got it back! Took a little time, but they did a great job!

Confusing. Tried it, but very confused by all of the menus and options. Maybe I'm old school, but I like games that are a lot more straight forward and less complicated.

Problems. Ok so let me start off with this, if your team has a 12.2 average and you play a team that’s a 2.4 average you’ll lose! In the playoffs the sorry teams beat you easily. ITS SUPER DUPER ANNOYING!!! Please fix this bug, ITS BAD.

Good but better. Loading is a little slow

Way too random. Even if your opponent is only half of your skill level you will lose to them constantly. Even if you are high level, some of the seasons will take you 5 or 6 tries, and it’s 15 hours between seasons, unless you spend money. Very frustrating.

It it good. It is so good and fun it’s like having nhl 24 in your pocket except better

CBS Franchise Hockey 2018. Update: (03/17) Updates have fixed the problems.....works just great and it is a lot of fun! Useless....loaded game ...picked team....open for player and game locks! Nothing more!

Seems good at first. When I downloaded this game I thought that I would actually be able to play hockey but it just sims the games and you have to do so many things for your team even though you don’t even get to play an actual game so this game is horrible.

Hockey. Enjoy this game. Easy to play and plenty of options to follow.

Fix your match scoring. I know anything can happen in hockey and don’t count the underdog out and yadda yadda yadda, but if every line on a team is significantly better than the other team, as well as the goaltender maybe that team shouldn’t get blown out 6-1

Needs some work if you listen in it’ll be fun. Well it’s fun but I think there needs to be a mode where you can play the game. Same with their basketball and football game

Won’t even Start. I was excited to play this game but after just trying to log in several times with the game shutting down before I even get signed in I reached out to support about a week ago and still haven’t heard anything. Hopefully I’ll get a response here since I’m maki Nd it public and it could affect their image.

Not too shabby. This game it doesn’t let you play but it is very good it let you explore and it doesn’t tell you what to do I love this game
