I already use Malwarebytes for my computer, can I just add an iOS device to my plan?
No. Malwarebytes for iOS must be purchased on the App Store.
Why doesn’t Malwarebytes for iOS include a malware scanner?
It is not possible for an iOS app to scan for malware. Fortunately, the risk of getting malware on an iOS device is extremely low and Apple has a stringent review process regarding app admission into the App Store.

Love this app, have used it for years!
I’ve installed this on my iPad Air 2, unfortunately most of the features are and grayed out, they’re only available for iPhone . Anyways, it doesn’t have a scanner, I know it’s Apple’s restrictive policy, but I give it 2 stars because if you have a computer, you MUST have this installed on it. But the iOS version isn’t very relevant. I have yet to try it on Android to find out if it’s useful.
This app worked at first... now I get dozens of spam calls and texts. Of course this happened after I paid for the annual membership
Does not work on IOS
Malwarebytes works really well on my iPhone - no problems with subscriptions or setup. And I have had few, if any, robocalls or other annoyances since installing Malwarebytes. I would guess some of the people complaining below didn’t bother to read the setup instructions before writing a bad review. Malwarebytes works perfectly for me.
Works as advertised and they have wonderful support staff.
I purchased the one month cheap subscription and I find out this app only works if you use safari. That’s nonsense as this works on all browsers I use with my Galaxy phone. :Update: I forgot to also mention that all this app does is block ads, so they say, and she web browsing in Safari only, as they said in their reply. It doesn’t scan for malware as it does on Androids or windows. I definitely feel like I’m gonna have a hard time trusting this dev after this one. I will definitely not be renewing my subscription and am canceling ASAP. Well done however guys, you got my money anyway. Stupid me! I figured whatever I’ll just use this crap for a month since I already paid but now there is no easy way to cancel this subscription. Yea, this app “is gonna be a no for me dog” !
For ipad it does nothing unless you cough up the $$
I had called AppleCare several times because I mistakenly opened some junk emails and it began to cause problems. Battery drain, long lag times, etc. I heard (unofficially) that many Apple people, both reps. and people in the community that this was the best, easiest, cheapest, and offered protection options that many others did not have available!! It is on the majority of my iOS devices. I would highly recommend checking out Malwarebytes. There is a free but limited version to download!! Give it a twirl!!
I expected so much more. I expected it to block all my robocalls: all my Microsoft Technical Support calls that promised to fix some bad code that would expose me to serious viruses if I didn’t use their services to fix that code; never mind that they couldn’t even identify my IP address, their tech gave me their IP address and I was supposed to think they were giving my IP. Interestingly enough though their IP was in India and that, of course, explained the tech’s heavy Indian brogue, much heavier than any Indian tech I ever spoke with from my phone company, my electric company, etc. Anyhow they made it clear they were not employed by Microsoft. Microsoft wouldn’t be calling anyway, their new Window 10 virus protection gives me excellent protection and any port they might try to break in with has already been closed by Windows. I’m not expecting this review to be used. I just want to make it clear robocalls of every sort still get through: card services, Florida time shares, win a cruise lottery, etc. Even the Police Fraternity calls me and when they ask for Joe Blow and I say Joe’s not here then they say that’s okay, you’ll do, that’s when it’s time to hang up.” Now I thought your monthly substitution fee was very very reasonable, but since I’m not getting the service I expected I don’t see any point in continuing your services and as soon as I figure out how to stop your service I will. I hope my experience was the exception. I hope other people are get the services they hoped to get. Maybe in the future I’ll try again.
Wish the db of spam calls was as good as their malware db, I just really wish someone could block 80%-90% of junk calls without me having to blacklist
I’ve been getting spam text and calls so I download this app and when I activate the spam text it still says i needs to activate even though I did and when it finally worked I still got the spam text.
The first 4-5 days this seemed to be the perfect solution to a never-ending problem; unwanted spam calls. I watched as calls ringed in they would ring once and go to spam and then suddenly it just stopped filtering.
We need more or netter instructions to install on Different devices
I purchased the annual premium & installed this app since I like MWB on Windows. After a month of many reinstalls & following tech support suggestions, the call protection never worked. Neither Apple or MWB would refund my annual subscription. Also the app will not work with a vpn & browsers other than Safari. Don’t waste your money.
This software make the day more enjoyable. Not have to deal with the scammers and wrong numbers. 😛
Will not work on a iPhone waste of money!
Rini McCall’s, spoofing; this app blocked them for a little while. Now? It doesn’t block anything. Calls cement through anyway. I have this app set up in my iPhone settings but calls still make it through. Waste of money.
I guess they can’t or don’t know how to make a nice iPad Scanner.. to bad I like the program.
Great for iPhone and Mac!
