Needs significant work. I just downloaded this app today so my opinion might be less useful than people who’ve been using it longer, but so far it is quite difficult to use and not at all intuitive. The way you start or stop the timer is reverse of what your brain would expect to see, and could so easily be fixed with a tiny bit of effort. There is no way to edit the time in/out for the current day, so if you make any mistake at all, there’s no way to keep track of how you’re doing THAT DAY, only to see what you did previous days. If you do choose to use the calendar to edit or see a previous day, good luck getting back to the previous screen as the “back” button does not work at all. There’s a “profile” page where you can enter information and I tried to edit something there and there’s no save button, so that’s also useless. And again that back button did not work at all. I won’t be using this app for my treatment. I’m not sure why it has such high ratings; I highly recommend TrayMinder instead.

Nice idea but unreliable. The app is really not well programmed. Often the timer starts but then when I come back it is stopped or has not started at all. I also see the opposite that I stop a timer just to come back and see it’s still running. It seems like the app is reacting slow so as you navigate it at times registers an extra tap randomly starting or stopping the timer. Today the app stopped functioning at all after I updated the OS. The timer does did not start while the reminder did, I cannot edit the falls time from yesterday day. Overall I wish I had a better option to track my time. I’d rather have less extra features like the gallery and therefore had a reliant time tracking tool. Also I see no wear my average time I wore the aligners. Anyway it’s the best there is I assume so I just continue using it and hope it either gets updated or I am done with my treatment

Hate this app. There are better third party apps for aligner tracking.. It’s pretty bad when a third party does an app for your product better than you do, but I’m done with this app now that I found a better one. Not only is the calendar on this app completely screwed up (it just randomly changes from Friday aligner changes to Thursdays in November), and it errors when I try to tap the “Today” circle to indicate an aligner change, but even the reminder push notifications it sends are wrong. I just got a notification that today’s the day to change to aligner #4 even though I change to aligner #5 today, which the app should know since it literally says my current aligner (as in the one I’m changing from) is “4 of 25.” How is their app this bad when they’ve been around for 20+ years? This is basic bare bones and they can’t even get it right. Guess they’re too focused on selling their products within the app instead of actually providing value to their customers.

The app works but it’s pointless. So immediately you get hit with a request to track you across apps. You put in your patient but then manually enter your info into the app. I didn’t see any benefits to using the app at all. There is a timer built in that allows you to track how long you have the aligner out. Big whoop. On week 4 or 5 something like that . Opened this app to see if I missed something about its purpose . Nothing new. What is the point in putting your patient id if you have to put the aligner change info in yourself. The only thing I can see that connects it to me is an individual person is the referral awards. Which is pretty much what this useless app is for I guess. Earning more customers for this company and harvesting your personal information . Everything this app does can be done from the calendar you already have on your phone .

No reminders. I love the idea of this app. Like another user, I too, originally thought the time tracked the time your slingers were out, so I had inaccurate data for the first day or so. It would be great if the app had some instructions. But the editing feature is very handy, as I frequently forget to set the timer back to “aligners IN.” Which brings me to my biggest issue. I set reminders, but I’ve never actually been alerted by the reminder. I went into my settings to ensure that notifications are turned on, but the app doesn’t even appear there (I think apps appear there after they’ve requested to send notifications, but I never got that request within the app.). Would be good if that were fixed. Last thing - an Apple Watch complication would be AWESOME. Please and thank you, in advance. 😊

Great App For Reminders. I love the app, now if I could only remember to stop the aligner out timer that would be awesome. Even with the reminder, sometimes I’m not ready to put my slingers back in. So go my usage of the app there are two things that would be beneficial for me. 1.) ability to extend the timer when the timer ends. I always choose 30 mins but sometimes need to add additional time and then tend to forget to stop the timer. 2.) like some others have suggested, being able to edit the time on the same day would also be helpful - in the event that I needed more time and subsequently forget to stop the timer. Thanks to the App creators!

Close to perfect. I was so excited when I saw this app, since I hoped to find something to remind me when to swap aligners and to time when they’re out. The timer though is really frustrating to use, which is a shame since considering you swap trays 1x week but need to time your aligners 6x+ a day, 95.4% of this app’s value is the timer. Everything else about the app (the store, gallery, tray calendar are all great, but only accounts for like 5% of app usage imo) This is the functionality I was hoping for: - ability to modify the time log, in case you forgot to start/stop the aligner - ability to change the target #of hours to wear per day. The app says you shouldn’t leave them out more than 6 hours a day, my ortho said 4 hrs, yet the target is arbitrarily set to 2 hrs (so I always fail hitting targets and my entire trending is red and not useful) - there might be a bug with the timer. Half the time when I come back to the app the timer randomly stopped counting time. I don’t know if it turns off with the reminder or what, but the other app I started using in tandem didn’t have this issue. Overall I would love to swap back to using this app since I love the UX, UI, and your product, but I’ll have to wait until the timer functionality is modified since it’s more hassle than it’s worth unfortunately :(.

Good concept, needs fixing. First, I would like to say the concept of the app is very appealing and very helpful. However, certain things should be fixed for optimal usage. When I tried to fix the settings to say aligner #2 (rather than #1) the change did not stay when I later logged on to the app. So even though I know what aligner I’m on, the app does not which could be confusing for some. I also wish there was a more selective reminder, instead of hour increments a more adaptable timer. That way I can remind myself in 15 minutes to put my aligner back in...instead of forgetting and then after an hour getting a reminder (which takes up half the time w/o aligners you’re given). Lastly (and most trivial) if we could just upload a profile picture instead of taking one on the spot that would great! Thank you for the app! Will definitely revise my review if some of these ideas are taken into account!

Glitching. When I first got it everything was really good but like 7 days after the picture function wasn’t working. It would load for about ten minutes and not do anything so I eventually just gave up on that part. Then I changed the number of days I had to wear the aligners and it has a function to change that which is great, so I put in all the new info and hit the done button. It loaded for like 20 seconds and then stopped loading so I assumed it was done, but nothing had changed. It was just the same screen were you put the information in so I pushed the back button to go to the calendar to see if it had changed there but it hadn’t. I tried several more times, logged out tried again, deleted the app, got it again, and tried again all with the same results. I even tried making a new profile but it only lets you make on profile per Invisalign ID. I eventually just deleted the app for good and am currently looking for another better app. If you would find the camera and changing info functions it would be a really nice app.

Please update app. The app is slow to load and when I want a reminder it defaults to 1 hour so I always have to change it . The app does not allow me to set my own default time. For the last two days it has failed to even register my time wearing the aligners. I appreciate the app but I use it in conjunction with the timer on my phone. That way I know how much time remains of my 2 hour allotted time. I further would prefer an option of timing the “out” time instead of the “in” time. During the day I need to know how long I have had them out not the running total of how long they have been in. Also the app on my phone will not let me submit a review. It says my Invisalign ID is not valid. I could not even find a phone number to speak to a customer service representative. If the app were designed to be more user friendly with options to adjust setting to personal preferences I would consider giving a 5 star rating.

Unintuitive Menus. When going to take a photo of my teeth, I thought I had to go to the “Smile Gallery,” but the camera always defaulted to my front camera on my phone. I thought the app was broken. Today I tried looking around elsewhere in the app and finally figured out were meant to select “Share Photos” in the “My Care” section of the app. I didn’t try this initially because I didn’t have photos taken yet. But apparently, this is the button to click to start taking photos. I previously rated 1 star because I could not find this part of the app. I upgraded the rating to 3 stars because now I know where it is, but the menu labels are misleading.

Great except for the timer.. I’ve had my Invisalign for a while now but only just found out yesterday there was an app to go with my treatment. I absolutely love the app EXCEPT for the timer. Like others, I initially thought you start it when you have your aligners out of your mouth. When I realized it’s the other way around, I wasn’t exactly thrilled. I don’t want to have the timer running in the background for 20-22 hours a day, needlessly draining my battery. It makes more sense to me - and apparently many other users - to only use the timer to track how long the aligners are OUT of your mouth. It’s easier to see that your aligners have been out of your mouth an hour and a half a day than to see that your aligners have been in your mouth 10 hours for the day and you have X hours left in the day and you might have to take them out 1-2 more times today, but you don’t know exactly how long you can do that for and still get your 20-22 hour goal. I’ll use the timer as designed for now just to see how it affects my battery life, but if it’s too much of a drain I’m just going to use it to track the time my aligners are out. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Purposefully making “compliant” wear time no less than 22 hours. My doctor AND Invisalign corporate recommend aligners be worn 20-22 hours per day to be compliant. Yet, your app’s user is only deemed compliant with nothing less than 22 hours of wear. Why have you taken it upon yourselves to disregard two hours of the day the manufacturer and board certified orthodontists direct as compliant? Not only have you sent this message to patients, but you go further to not allow any manual adjustment or override of your incorrect definition of compliant hours. It’s easy on the coding end to let users have a choice of hours per day to set as compliant in consultation with their doctor. Your app is designed to interact with the patient’s doctor’s office. So if you can’t offer the designation of 20 hours, how is this really helpful for an orthodontist or their staff to quickly glance at a patient’s history through this app and all they see is a non-compliant when in fact the patient has worn the aligners for 20 hours or more? Don’t you think they are frustrated and feel it’s not purposeful for them? Do you understand how demotivating it is for the user/patient to see that their non-compliant status every day for weeks/months when they have been within 20 to 22 hours? You are doing this on purpose, why I’m not sure. But you are taking the user’s joy and support by not using the professional guidelines.

Invisalign. I’m 55 and I’ve never had straight teeth. And I refuse to wear all that metal in my mouth at this age. Parents could never afford proper orthodontic work for us kids. So I finally saved up enough to get these. And I’m very happy I waited. I like the fact you can take them out when you eat or drink something. Those with metal brackets can’t remove theirs to brush properly so they sometimes wind up with cavities. With these it is much easier to brush your teeth and floss therefore preventing cavities.I also like the fact that they’re clear so it’s hard for someone to tell you have them on.

Useless - don’t waste your time on it. To say that I’m underwhelmed with this “app” is to say nothing. After scanning the label, you still have to input your info, register, create (and remember) password and the whole typical gamut. You know what’s in the other side of this hassle? Pretty much ads! In addition to ads, there is a timer or something to keep track of your “compliance” (don’t get me started on the term - I’m not a toddler!), and … picture gallery…. Seriously?…. And a calendar. What kind of events does invisilign expect me to schedule in their app?! Especially if it doesn’t connect with my dentist’s office. Surely they know my dentist’s info, but it’s nowhere to be found if I had a quick question! Btw, none of my questions were answered in the app. For the amount you pay (an arm and a leg!), would it kill them to make a few videos of how to *actually* use the thing, preferably without breaking your jaw and chipping all your nails?? You know, the standard videos that any respectable tool maker has available these days. How to get the aligners in (does anyone even know??), how to take them out, care instructions! There, it took me less than a minute to come up with a list of *useful* ideas. They seem implementable to me! So, to summarize, I think the creators confused a police/motivational app, with an app that has actual help: how-to’s and doctor connection. For the things they offer, I’m all set with other, better apps.

Timer reminder doesn’t work. This is a very useful app, but sometimes the timer reminder straight up doesn’t give you the notification for whatever reason. There have been times where I’ve set the reminder to 15 minutes when I take my trays out, put my trays back in without marking it in the app, and then remember an hour later that I need to mark them as back in in the app... but no reminder ever popped up on the phone. As such there are days that show as noncompliant even though I’ve worn the tray for the required 22 hours. As such, an edit feature for the compliance would be nice... but more importantly the timer reminder needs to be fixed.

Not great. The app doesn't allow you to adjust the time the trays were in. So if I put my trays in but am not near my phone or forget to stop the clock it keeps counting time and I can't change. Had a family function yesterday and was not on my phone. This morning when I went to start the timer it's already on for 7 hours because I didn't stop the timer last night. So now I start the day 7+hours off track with no way to fix. What's the point. Also would like to have option to not enter a pin every time I open the app. Why would a dental appointment need such high security? Edited because the developed advised me that I can go in and select the day I want to change the wear time for. However THE APP DOES NOT ALLOW YOU TO EDIT THE WEAR TIME FOR THE SAME DAY. This is the issue. I want to know how much time I’ve worn the trays for today and how much time I still have allotted.

Very bad functionality. I’m sorry to say this, but the app is a piece of garbage. The problems are too many, and developers have no incentive to fix or re-design them, judging from the same pre-canned response being given to everyone who reports same issues again and again here on the App Store. Here are some of the obvious issues: not working at all when internet is not available; the photos functionality is not working; scheduling changes (like when need to extend wear time for a given aligner) is a pain; the wear logs are hard to change; login/authentication issues; no way to combine multiple accounts (e.g. one was created for my set of aligners, and another for my treatment plan with the detailed step by step changes shown - I don’t even know why my doctors did it that way, but now there’s no way to combine them, and no easy way to re-login); etc. Like I said, too many issues. TrayMinder is so much better: I’m glad someone recommended it in their review, so I tried it and it’s so much easier to use. I understand Invisalign is not in the business of making the apps, but come on, with all the money it costs for a treatment, you could at least budget some decent money for hiring good app designers/developers and just let them work through the issues people have been reporting for years now!

Great app. This app is really useful when it comes to tracking how long your aligners are in/out of your mouth. It even lets you choose the option of having a reminder within a certain time frame so you can remember to pop them back in. There are two things I suggest: 1) make a watch app and 2) allow changing the wear time on the current day. The watch app would be really useful for people when they go out to eat so they can just do a few quick taps rather than pull out their device and inputting the pin. It would be preferable if the watch app was free as well. Also, changing the wear time on the current day would be really useful because sometimes I forget that my timer is still running. Once I realize it, it’ll say my aligners were out for more than an hour and I have to wait until the next day to change the time log. By allowing people to change the wear time of the current day, it helps them make sure their time logs are more accurate.

Counter clock. I wish the counter clock really would work. Just to count the long time in and the few minutes out and track my time. Also I wish it would time the trays inside the bobble wash, I always worry on under doing the time and afraid of over doing it, don’t want to wash them. Also would like to have a way to take a pic of my teeth inside of my mouth. Then I can see the teeth are moving. I would like to have a comparison on the pictures to see how many shades my teeth had turned after brushing my teeth so many times more per day. My other wish add on the app a section Called “ News of my mouth” ( lol) like a diary where I can write all the notable changes I had seen since I started to wear my trays. ( less headaches, losing weight, less night snoring etc). I really think that your app can improve. Also if I could take a profile pic. Can you measure how my jaw it’s moving and I m losing my double chin? Would be nice if I can have that in my app log. And pictures. Last, I would love to have the information send to my dentist, so she can read my progress when she’s eating her lunch or just checking the pictures of my daily teeth report, so she can be on the loop. She would be trill if she can check her patients without me a having to make an appointment with her. Lastly if the app can take a pic of my trays and later on review them and see that They are no damage, that is would be fantastic! Wow the ways you could improve this App. Thank you!

Beautiful app but…. This morning I took my aligners out for breakfast and discovered that I’d forgotten to stop the timer after dinner yesterday. Many hours of non-wear time are already logged today which I can’t correct until tomorrow. This effectively makes the time tracking feature useless to me today, so therefore I have no reason to use the app today. Missed punches after a meal often occur multiple times a week. As a product manager myself, I appreciate unambiguous feedback. Daily time tracking, more than any other feature, is keeping me engaged and launching the app regularly. I don’t mind fixing my missed punches when they occur, but the frustration of regularly having to wait until tomorrow to correct yesterday’s mistake (e.g. a day I can’t use the feature) is causing me to consider other solutions. Others have proposed same-day time corrections… I believe this would resolve the issue, though I recognize it’s possibly easier said than done. Invisalign is an awesome service, by the way, and my rating does not reflect my opinion of the Invisalign product or other features of the app, which are easily 5 stars. My rating describes time tracking as it is the core app feature providing value to me.

Waste of space - no thanks.. This is so dumb and useless. You have to give them your legal name, email, phone number, Invisalign ID, and create both a password and a pin or give them your biometric data in order to set up this app—so naturally, with all these requirements, I thought the app would connect to my dentist, or show me the 3D models of my teeth, or literally anything interesting and useful, using (protected) data from my dentist or from the company itself. Nope! Here’s what you get: a calendar, photo gallery where you can take pictures of your teeth week by week, a timer, a reminder to switch out your trays—all things I can already do on my phone. The only other features are like, prominently placed ads and referral offers for $50 gift cards to big box stores (so spammy and cheap!—like the app), a sparse FAQ section, and like, a motivational quote. At $5200 a pop for the aligners themselves, and the ridiculously overdesigned “welcome package,” I was definitely expecting something better from this app, like maybe an ACTUALLY “personalized experience,” not just non-features and advertisements. Better to not have an app at all, in my opinion.

Update is a step backwards. The previous version was good where you could see the week and previous 10 days or so on the same screen. Editing wear times was simple where you could tap the day and edit it quickly from the existing wear time. This scroll-through dates/times feature is clunky, takes like 3-5 taps for the wear time to actually pop up, and makes editing times harder. Why does the edit feature start at zero instead of the time already registered for that date? Plus the mandatory feedback pop up EVERY TIME I edit a wear time is really annoying. Only good thing about the app is it keeps me honest about wearing them as frequently as possible.

The AI “doctor” is terrible. Please make the AI care feature optional. It is irresponsible to prevent doctors from giving direct advice to their patients. The AI feature wants to keep me on the same retainer for 45 to 60 days, and from one conversation with my office I know my doctor is not involved in this decision. If my teeth are tracking so poorly, my orthodontist needs to be involved in making the next decision. The AI features in this app can’t even accurately detect a face for taking pictures, so why should I trust what it sees when it comes to care recommendations? This app used to be so helpful and convenient for keeping in touch with my doctor while I went to school in another country. The reliance on AI really hinders the app’s function and devalues the entire Invisalign system.

Adult goal have a smile I love.. All my life I have had a smile that everyone noticed, I was called smiley in elementary school. I’ve been told my smile was something people first noticed about me. My crowed teeth never stopped me from smiling, but when I looked at photos or in the mirror my crowed teeth always were the first thing I noticed. My mom offered me braces at 16 if I didn’t go to nursing school. I got my LPN a year later. I put all 3 of my girls in braces because I wanted them to have a smile they enjoyed looking at also. I am almost 48 years old and I started Invisalign. I am so excited to see the progress and can’t wait to notice my smile for the first time without the crowded teeth I have always had staring back at me.

better timer equals 5 stars. as promised, i am now happy to rate 5 stars since the timer has been fixed to show the time OUT instead of IN. Much better! Thanks so much for listening to all the requests for this improvement . — Everytime i see that the app is updates I am hopeful the timer has been updated to allow us to track by the time aligners are OUT rather than by how long they are IN but each time I am dissappointed. This timer is what is keeping me from giving a 5 star rating. It seems like that would be easy to program. It would be MUCH easier to use instead of having to do my own calculations EVERY DAY. please please please can that happen soon? Im staying hopeful that this is fixed before my treatment is done.

Weird Issue. I really like the app. The only issue I’m having is that the daily timer and total time worn don’t seem to agree when the day is over. I keep them in for about 22hrs a day, and I use the timer/reminder to put them back in. However, the next day when I check the logs it’ll show something like “18 hours worn” or similar. I keep having to manually adjust the time with 24-(my time out from previous day) to get the correct result for the graph. I’m not sure what to do differently as I’m following the instructions for the timer.

App Always Stops Working Randomly. I didn’t make even make it 5 weeks into my Invisalign regimen until this app just refused to open. I use Face ID to open the app and it was working perfectly fine until one day it just started on the loading screen (three dots). I’ve made sure the app was updated, reinstalled, restarted my phone, I’ve tried everything. At some point this app stops opening and after scouring the internet/reddit for solutions I discovered that this has always been an issue. Dentists recommend the app, which is why it’s popular, but it looks like everyone eventually migrates to Trayminder. Which is a pity, because the interface of this app is great. If it worked, my only suggestion would be to let users add notes to previous and future calendar days. Unfortunately, I don’t recommend downloading this app if you’re wearing Invisalign for a long time because it will break down on you.

Please bring back this function!!. My main purpose for downloading the app was to have one place where I could track how long I had my aligners out a day – for the first few weeks, this worked as expected, but in the last few days there was an update pushed out that changed the entire look of the app. (Annoying, but it's fine) They also switched it from tracking how long you had them out to instead track how long you've worn them so far. By the time dinner comes along, I'm struggling to remember how long they've been out, and the reverse math needed to figure out how many hours are left in the day verses how many hours you've already worn the aligners shouldn't be necessary. PLEASE give us the option to choose how we want to track the time worn, at the very least?

Seems ok except the timer. I’m just getting started so I haven’t used the app enough to really get a feel for it but it seems like the timer is the only problem with it. First directions for the timer log would have been helpful. Since I had to be intuitive I (wrongly) assumed the hours count would begin when I set up the app so didn’t touch the timer until I went to remove my liners for the first time. It was only when I attempted to ‘go back on the clock’ I realized it was set up the other way, so my initial half day wasn’t logged. I tried to correct by clicking in but it still doesn’t seem to be logging correctly so now, days in it doesn’t seem like I’ll ever capture my real usage- and perhaps the reason I would even use the app. Can the log be manually adjusted? Can I delete and reinstall. Do I have to track my own usage with pen and paper like a caveman?

App feels like it’s stuck in the 2000’s.. This app is nice to have, I guess, but it is *extremely* dated. Seriously, who coded this? Typically dated coding like this is due to the company being cheap and hiring someone who doesn’t really know what they’re doing. The gallery is an eyesore. You should be able to have minimal editing options like cropping and rotating. And the caption section is light grey text on grey background… lol what? #Rip anyone with visual impairments relating to contrast and color blindness. The timer is also completely useless as far as I’m concerned. It’s just unnecessarily confusing. You should have a play, pause, and/or stop button separate from each other, not in one. You should also be able to modify the start time and end time whenever throughout the day since sometimes things happen and even with the reminder you get sidetracked or are involved in something else that you can’t take your attention away from (any other parents with a baby out there?), not wait until the next freakin’ day to edit your time as a whole. Each individual stretch of wear time should be logged and editable. All in all, this app is clunky, unintuitive, and completely illogical in its operation. I’m honestly surprised anyone can highly rate this. They probably don’t know any better. Please hire a GOOD UI/UX designer and update your app to 2023 standards so I don’t feel like I’m using Windows XP on my phone.

Newest Update Unusable. Have had a great experience with the app since starting my treatment a month ago. I just updated my app to the newest release, 3.6.3. With this update, I am no longer able to even enter the app. The app prompts me for FaceID, which it always does, then tells me my “session has ended. please sign in to access your account”, where it asks me for my 4-digit PIN. I enter my PIN, and the exact same message pops back up.. Force-closing the app and opening again does nothing to solve the issue. Not sure what’s going on here, but I would really like to re-gain access, since I don’t have my aligner change dates memorized..

Timer Functionality. I love that I can use the app to track time worn, but the recent update has changed the clock. It now only shows you the amount of time you’ve had the trays in, but no count of time you’ve had them out. It was far more useful to look at a clock saying “2 hours out” and knowing you only had 1-2 more hours allowed. I understand that it’s nice to see that green number tick up as you get close to your hour goal, but I don’t think it’s super practical. Honestly I think having both timers (time in and out) would be the best way to display it, as I think different users with different learning styles would appreciate the options.

Needs a Watch App and Complications. Good app. I don’t really expect much, this is an app for orthodontics. It helps you track and take progress pictures. The motivation section is helpful to get through the initial pain and changes in lifestyle required for this kind of treatment. Speaking of lifestyle... The most useful feature is the timer, but the lack of a watch app (for the millions of us who would use it) is a pretty glaring omission - and one that another very popular aligner app already has. If it’s not easy to use, we won’t use it. Needless to say, help us stay on track with a watch app, and we will help you by making sure this is our app of choice for aligners. :)

Good idea with some utility. The timer is poorly implemented. This is useful for checking, which tray set I’m on and when I’m supposed to switch, however, the out of mouth timer is nearly useless. I unreliably get going off other times (although it certainly doesn’t some of the time) and I just have a alerts to remind me to put it back in, and when I put it back in the My Home and I often don’t remember to turn off the timer so the next time I open the app I’ve racked up many hours of out of mouth time. The one time I know, I’ve heard the alert, it uses the same chime as the default for incoming email. Not very attention grabbing inherently, and one that I’m used to ignoring. I’ve only heard it for sure once. And there are definitely times when it hasn’t sounded at all. I have a suspicion that and some miscarried attempt to keep my information private when it gets into a state where it wants me to use my pin to log back in (what happens in conveniently frequently), the app looses it’s permission to send a notification

Getting there. The app has already improved a great deal since I started using it a month ago, but the calendar still doesn’t work that well. The settings options are nice, but it still doesn’t update properly - no matter how many times I say I am currently on tray 2, it still says “1” on the calendar and home screen. It doesn’t really matter, because I know which one I’m on, but if the feature is there it ought to work. The timer and reminder are helpful, though (even though I always forget to start the timer again when I put them back in), and I’ll be happy at the end of my treatment plan to look back over my progress photos.

Good for calendar, timer needs work.. My orthodontist told me about the app when I got my first set of trays. I had started to put a reminder in my calendar to make sure I remembered to change them out every week, but she showed me that this existed and would make it easier. It does make that part easier. A reminder of when to change out trays is fantastic when life is sometimes hectic. However, the timer seems backwards. I obviously didn’t get started with my aligners midnight the first day, so the app counted me as “not compliant” on day one, since I couldn’t meet the 22 hr mark of wearing them. While not super important, you’d think they’d want you to start on a more positive note. It also makes more since, in my opinion, to track the two hours a day you take them out, versus the 22 they are in. Tell me how much longer I can have them out, or how much time I’ve gone over having them out, instead how long they’ve been in. Since the negative is having them out too much, let me monitor that instead.

Poor timer design & reminder doesn’t work. I like the app. The countdown to the next tray, scheduling appointments, and picture timeline are all great functions. I have two main issues with the app and unfortunately they are issues with the most important functions of the app. 1) The timer function is not intuitive. The app should allow the user the option of timing the amount of time the tray is in OR the amount of time the tray is out. Based on other’s comments, I’m not alone in this thinking. It’s as if there was no user testing during the app design. 2) the reminder/notification to put your tray back in does not work. There is no audible alert and there does not appear to be an option to select your own alert for the reminder. If both of the functions worked, I’d give the app 4-5 stars.

Overall it’s a good app. I’ve seen others at least mention having a watch app and to allow us to edit the time we’ve had our aligned out since sometimes I forget to stop the timer, but one big thing I very much dislike about the app is I need an internet connection to launch the app. If at least the timer could be made available without having an internet connection, that would be much more user friendly. Make it a widget where you can just start and stop the timer, or make the time accessible in the Invisalign app without needing to sign in every time. Also, another nice feature would be to set a reminder that would remind you a second (or third or fourth) time after you exceed your set time limit by a set amount of time the user specifics.

Broken backend, couldn’t perform basic tasks.. The apps registration process was never successful. I was prompted to enter tray information over and over and after submission received a 500 error. To determine if it was an issue with their mobile app or backend, I logged in through the web portal. It recognized my account and had some of my information. Upon seeing that my account had been created, I reinstalled my app and attempted to sign in. I was successful in signing in but was still prompted to enter my tray information which continued to result in a 500 error. I then went back to their site to contact the company with a question and my query wouldn’t successfully submit due to an “invalid last name”. My last name has no spaces, special characters, or a change in case. Please fix the bugs that plague the front and backend of the whole experience.

What’s the point, exactly?. I expected this app to show me my anticipated (i.e., forward-looking) progress during treatment, based on the actual digital program of aligners created by my doctor and Invisalign. Invisalign holds that data, or at least the next several trays’ worth of data (or they wouldn’t have been able to make my trays in the first place). So Invisalign could surely model the coming months with an animation. Instead, the app shows me nothing useful, and just creates a (manually created) set of date-alarms based on my telling Invisalign things they should already know, like how many days my doctor wants per tray. Then it adds in several curious breaches of privacy, such as exploiting my camera to add selfies. I already have selfies, I don’t need to share new selfies with Invisalign via an app. It wants to know my geolocation and integrate with financial data too. I literally don’t understand the point of this app. It doesn’t feel like the app developers met their MVP. If you own any sort of calendar app already, this app doesn’t add much. Having just written a $6500 check, I expected a lot more than a timer.

Picture Uploading. The only problem I really have with the app is that you can’t upload pictures from your photo album. I stopped using the in-app camera just because the pictures I take always turn out bad, quality-wise. It would be really helpful if you could upload pictures from your photo album to use as your progress photos. I have the same issue with taking profile pictures. I would prefer uploading my own picture from my photo album to use as my profile picture, rather than taking one on the spot. The rest of the app functions properly, and works really well in my opinion. The only thing I would change would be picture uploading. I know this will probably be lost among other reviews, but I hope you read it when you get a chance.

Love everything but the timer. I love being able to track progress, having access to quick FAQ, and especially the timer feature. However I really wish the timer worked the other way around. I definitely don’t want to have it running all day long to track how long I’m wearing. That would needlessly drain the battery. It would be so much better if the timer tracked how long you had them out. That’s how I’ve been using it -I start the timer when I take them out then I have a running clock throughout the day that tells me how much time I have left to spare. This helps me plan ahead for snacks, wine, dessert - all of life’s great pleasures 😆 Because I use it this way I can’t use the reminder feature so I just use my phone’s timer. I also show as having no compliant days. I would love the option to choose which way to use the timer. That would get me to 5 stars.

Clunky to use. This could be a much better app if they recognized that we are dealing with human beings here. I, for one, sometimes forget to turn off the timer for when the aligners are out. Rather than being able to go back and manually put in the actual times, it doesn’t reset until the following day, which completely messes up the very thing you’re trying to keep track of. Also, it is incredibly annoying to have to sign in every single time you use the app. This isn’t my bank account, for crying out loud. Leave me signed in. I was outside today, had my sunglasses on, had forgotten to stop the timer, got a reminder, couldn’t get on the app because I didn’t have my usual glasses on so the face recognition didn’t work, couldn’t remember my password so had to look it up, all just to stop a timer? I’m going to try it for one more day, but it should be way, WAY, easier to access and use.

Teeth great app is not so great. Invisalign itself is a great product, I have minor teeth shifting and seeing the teeth return to a straight alignment is exciting. I’m a little more than halfway through the process. Now the app only has some basic functions like time how long the trays are on/off. Reminders to switch trays. However, it is a PAIN to update the calendar especially if you have a couple of trays you have to wear longer and need to change the date. It would be nice if we could see the progress as we do in the office. I’d love to show my progress with friends especially those who are interested in getting invisible braces. As for the photos, you can’t edit it so each is the same framing so you can compare progress but you came make notes. It’s easier to just use the native Apple camera and that allows notes now anyway. I would like to see tips and ability to buy additional cleaners or portable toothbrushes or tips like what to do with your dried out lips. Overall, the app is unnecessary as it really doesn’t have any uniquely useful purpose.

I need another option. This app is awesome and i use all the time but i need another option. I'm trying to say i need an option that will inform the device that i won’t change my invisalign tray to the next one for a reason. Right now i am having problems with my teeth, so my orthodontist had to adjust one of my invisalign trays and now i can change until a certain date. It would also be helpful if they changed hot the invisalign on and off clock worked. Wouldn’t it be easier if you could just press a button that tells the app your taking it off and when it is more than a certain time off it reminds you to put it back on. Also can it reset, instead of saying you have had if off for 15 total hours since you started just reset and show like a chart of how many hours you have taken it off for each day. Otherwise this app is great, it helps me with everything and i really appreciate the effort pur into this.

Clunky marketing tool?. I downloaded this app to review the plan my doctor submitted, and aside from the back and forth with her that this required to even figure out how to get into my information, this app continues to fall short once finally logged in as well. I can’t imagine the average user is downloading this app as they contemplate getting Invisalign— we’re here because we decided “yes” and want to track our treatment. To devote the main home tab to marketing material and convincing someone to invest feels like a missed opportunity to provide an actual personalized experience to customers. The only tab that is of any use to me is the one about my treatment. It was only while writing this that I found, nested between all of the “start today!” fluff, that one of the images was clickable?? And THATS how you confirm you’ve started treatment?? To switch the entire experience to that slightly more personalized one. Yikes. This app seems to have decent functionality if you can actually find it buried in all of the noise. The overarching navigation and the prioritization of features and content leads to a clunky experience far from coming back for more. I hope the app starts to get as much love and prioritization as the rest of the seemingly premium brand.

Good and helpful. I just started my treatment this week and my dr recommended this app to help with my treatment plan. Pros The interface in awesome totally user friendly, simple easy setup (with your, ID info on the box) the clock is most helpful. Pictures capture for comparing during treatment. Adding notes and appointments Cons you can’t fix missed log in and out on the clock. (I’ve just been making notes, noting the time I missed logging back in but this is the quickest way to make this app useless for my daily tracking). You can’t add albums from your phone. I started with a hyrax expender to start my ortho Journey. ( I’d love to see my total transformation) Wishlist: Watch update Add Albums to compare Louder clock reminder with more reminder options Rewards/nudges and motivation within the app to stay active with the app and on top of those 20-22 hrs needed daily. snooze/don’t forget to login after the reminder time(could save on missed log in) This is a great app just a few updates from awesome in my book. 20-22 is VERY HARD TO DO at 1st but with this app and a lot self determination, motivation and control you can do it!! Good luck.

App Needs Work. ****Updated Review****I got a response from the developer telling me how I could update the time laws which was helpful but there are still other things that need to be addressed as outlined below. Thought this would be great to help me track how long I have the aligners out but the notifications don’t make any noise and even though I remember on my own to put the aligners back in I sometimes forget to go back into the app and stop the clock. So the fact that I can’t adjust the log times is frustrating and prevents me from accurately tracking my own compliance. The FAQ could also be better especially for new users who might need tips on how to get the aligners out and what to do if they break and all this other stuff that isn’t even in there. I also would like to upload my own pictures that I took through my phone’s camera app versus being forced to use the apps camera to upload selfies.

Download a different app please. Invisalign was decent, nothing special about it. It just reminded me when to switch my trays. My issue with it is, it lost my account. It wouldn’t let me sign in, I tried to change my password and it said the email I put in wasn’t linked to an account. Then when I said I forgot my email, it said the email I put in previously. It wouldn’t let me create a new account using that email because the email was already being used then it wouldn’t let me sign in. I lost all my info about when to switch my aligners. Not a big deal for me because I was able to figure out on my own when to switch. Still very frustrating, use a different app that doesn’t make you put in a password. Things like this happen and it’s not worth the stress. I use Trayminder and it does its job properly.

Poor Update. Less information and harder to navigate.

Okay not great. I use this app to track my wear time. My biggest complaint is that there’s no follow up reminders once you exceed the set reminder duration. I often forget to turn off the timer only to realize several hours later or even the next day. If you could set a follow up alarm or snooze function for 5, 10, 15, 30 mins I think this app would be a lot more functional.

Recent update has broke the timer. Updated my app yesterday (Aug 16) to the recent update and it has broke the timer. It still thinks I’m on yesterday. Since I’m so far into my system this really screws things up for me. Please fix immediately!!!

This app is trash. Just use Trayminder. This is my first app review on the App Store. Should say a lot about how terrible this app is. At first it was working fine reminding me to change my trays after 14 days as prescribed. After tray 6, the app automatically logged me out and won’t let me back in even after using the correct credentials. Ive reset the password countless times and it’s still saying I got the wrong credentials and won’t log me back in. The browser version of MyInvisalign seems to be working fine though. Why do you even have this app? Just use TrayMinder to get reminder of your weekly/biweekly tray change

Doesn’t remind me anymore. For some reason, this app won’t notify me to change my aligners anymore(and yes I checked my settings 100 times)

No longer reliable. Had no trouble with the app prior to the current version (as of Jan 18, 2024). Unable to log In most of the time now. Doesn’t support cross platform continuity. So if I am able to log in on my phone and take my trays out, but can’t log back in on the phone, I can’t log into the app on my tablet or log in on a browser to say that I put my trays back in. Was hoping to just use the Invisalign app - I liked it fine when it worked. I might move over to Tray Minder because this is now annoying and I’d rather not have to deal with it. Will wait for the next update first.

Screwed up 6 hours on penalty. I screwed up big time for over 6+ hours with my invisalign being removed. Plus, my timer is still going for no reason when my invisalign is in my teeth. My father is going to kill me because of this app.

Need some help!!!. I need some help

1/2 way through the process. Throughout my experience I’ve stopped doing bad habits that used to cause damage to the the teeth. This was the perfect opportunity to take action. Also noticeably straightyrr

Won’t open. Asks for Face ID and then it’s stuck on loading page. Possible bug from recent update? It’s been a few months and it still doesn’t work. I’m paying $6+ grand for Invisalign and I can’t even use the app to help keep track of my trays.

It’s amazing. Great way to connect with your doctor and your progress so easy to use

Timer log is off. There is something wrong with the way it is keeping track of how long you are wearing your Invisaligners. I know that I have worn them longer than 22 hours but it reports that I have worn them for 15. This morning it says I have worn them for 0 hours. Strange.

Great potential but buggy. I really wanted to use this app to help me track my wear time. However the face ID rarely works and attempting to reset password is ineffective. If you could get rid of the bugs it would be a much better solution. It also seems to have trouble tracking time - set to out but timer doesn’t work.

Notifications ?. I always try to set a alert as to when I should change trays but it never works and I always miss it , I thought the whole point of the app was to help up keep up changing trays? If it worked it be a great app?!

Invisalign can do a abetter job. Come on app team! You could do a nicer job at “instructions” part by having couple of pages that swipes left or right with a legible font instead just throwing a pdf there!

Glitchy. I use this app religiously and it is ok. There are definitely some things I don’t like. I despise that every time I go to use this app I have to log in. This is very inconvenient and annoying. Why?? Is it too secret info?? Please change this!!! Sometimes it won’t work with my thumb print scan and I have to re-enter all data. Several times I have pressed pause on the “time out” feature only to go back and somehow it is still counting. This happened alll the time making this app inaccurate and unreliable. Update: the newest version of the app no longer has the cumulative stopwatch counter. Now I have no idea how many minutes I have left to make (22 hours. 24-22= 2 hrs) it was nice to see 1:45 total so I knew easily that I had 15 mins to spare!!! Please change this back!!! It would be nice if the 3D rendering of my ortho plan was viewable. The camera app to track your progress features your whole face. I don’t love the unflattering photos. Tray minder’s app is better in this sense . It takes a close up of just your mouth. Please work to improve! Thanks.

I love my Invisalign. Invisalign has helped improve my smile my self-confidence and my life all together by having a happy smile no more frown face in photos lol happy smile everyone

Good. Nice way to track when to put in new trays. Also to see your progress

Push me to update. I don’t need to update because everything is good to go.but you don’t update, you don’t use it. SB! Hate this app!

you can’t login with your password. Even I reset the pswd, I still can’t login with my new pswd. And it doesn’t have a button for face login. This app is so dumb.

Can’t edit past events. I don’t know what’s wrong with the app but you can’t go further back in the calendar than Jan.2022 and you can’t edit past events if it’s already passed.

A bit clunky. Takes a long time to load and navigate through the gallery. And it’s hard to change dates when you get a new plan. And it doesn’t automatically add your plan, you have to contact your dentist to send it through each time.

Who developed this?. Enter a pin every time I want to use the app… why? Login cache only lasts a couple months and requires me to login again… why? It’s not a web app, it’s a phone app. Smh Terrible design, frustrating to use. Better off just imputing your liner change dates into your calendar and skip using this app.

terrible. slow, buggy, features don’t work well

Very poor user experience. This app has very limited capabilities and is not very user friendly. It does not enable a user to make adjustments to the “aligner out” timer, so if you forget to update the app the minute you put your aligner back in, your recorded time is way off. The timer also fails to reset to a new day upon occasion which renders the whole exercise of using the app useless. I found this user experience infuriating.

Great app!. I love this app it’s so easy to use and so easy to keep track of my Invisalign so yeah

Great app. Love it sends you a reminder when you have to change trays

good app, non wear timer needs improvement. Overall good way to track your aligner changes; photo uploads part seems good but haven’t tried yet. Biggest grip is with the aligner wear timer - which is very important for me as a new Invisalign patient: Issue: It is quite easy to forget to press the aligner on/off (stop/play button), and fixing such a mistake is even harder, because you need to do it on the day after, and figure out the total daily wear time for yourself. Potential solutions: An easy fix would be to allow the user to customize the time stamp when they press the button; so in your next flip (or whenever you realize you forgot to update), you just press the button you missed and say when you should have done it (“oh, it’s 7PM now, but I inserted it back 5:30, let me just insert the correct time so it marks as inserted then and not now”); if the time is correct you just ok it. Another idea is to leave as is, but store/allow editing of all start/stop times on the current and previous day. Again that allows one to easily fix the wear times that are fresh in their minds as soon as a mistake is noticed. In parallel to that, such mistakes would be more easily avoided with more visibility. A permanent notification of some sort, or a widget, would be a great help to that, and the notification to put back on should play a sound and/or require a dismissal (instead of relying on the OS, which is likely to pile it up among others). If there was a web API that allowed to start/stop/check the status, there could be third party solutions (I even thought about cooking up a hardware button with led/buzzer attached to my Invisalign case, but without integrating with the “official” counter it would be less interesting)

Recent Update of Jan 2024. The recent update to the app has modernized the look however, the functionality is lacking. I’m wondering why they removed the live timer. It’s hard to track how long you’ve had your retainers out. Bring back the live timer so you can see in real time where you are!!

GREAT!. I just got Invisalign and this app is so helpful when I am tracking when I eat and take my trays out. Definitely a must get if you have Invisalign

Won’t load. It gets stuck after login. It’s been absolutely useless once I received my aligners.

App time. The one thing I would Like to see available on the app is being able to edit our wear time. I have forgotten a few times to Log back in and now just don’t bother tracking the time. Basically I wear them except to eat so 23 hours a day, but if you forget to log them back in it shows them as out despite them being worn.

Great!. Great way to keep on top of your Invisalign!

Awful. The app is bad for two main reason First, It’s pretty dumb that I need to login to start and stop a timer. Second, if you have snub nose taking the care photos is a nightmare. The photo are always cropped with my nose and only the top of my mouth.

Log in issues.. Constant trouble logging in. Won’t accept my account info and refuses to accept an updated password. Useless.

Frozen on Home Screen. Just started my Invisalign and would like to use the app but it just freezes on the Home Screen.

Buggy login. The latest update introduces a few bugs in the login portal. FaceID no longer works to log in, instead telling me my “session has expired” - so I need to manually enter my login info, defeating the entire purpose of faceID. Additionally, the login fields are not being populated by my keychain. It can’t seem to tell that the login fields are text fields that should be filled with my Invisalign website login details from the keychain. Logging in to use the app is quite irritating now. Misc bug that has impacted my app experience: it’s basically impossible to get the app to recognize when you’ve accidentally entered the wrong tray number for progress photos. You can update the aligner you’re currently on via the aligner settings, but when you go to submit photos, it doesn’t pick up the updated number in the settings - it just goes off of the very first aligner number you entered for your first photographs. If you’ve submitted progress photos accidentally with the wrong number, there’s also no way to undo or edit that.

Disappointing. I used this App per Orthodontist recommendation. For two days it said I wore the aligners for 24 hours each day. Then it said I wore them less than the minimum 22 hours. Only take them out to eat (quickly) and if I drink anything other than water. Too inaccurate.

Date on app not updating. It’s been over 24 hours but the timer on the app isn’t resetting. Hard to note how long my tray has been out during the day.

App malfunctioning. Updated app and the timer got all messed up. Now it’s logged me out and won’t let me log back in. Says my session has ended and won’t let me back in.

Not bad but useless. This is more about marketing to you than helping you. If it doesn’t automatically know the dates I need to change the aligners what’s the point? I can put reminders in any calendar app.

Adhesives. Need to come up with better adhesives they don’t want to stick to porcelain crowns

Useless!. Unable to connect to server!!??

Can’t log in. I am on passive aligners now and have to revise my change frequency schedule. The app won’t let me log in, Face ID fails, forgetting password does nothing. This app is doing nothing for me.

“We’ve updated our care and use instructions”. It’s bad enough I have to sign in every time I remove my trays and put them back in, but at least 6 times a day I need to see this pop up telling me the care and use instructions have been updated and they’re available in my profile tab. I then have to “okay” that pop up only for the instructions to automatically display, now I have to mark “received” and this occurs on every single interaction with the app. Boggles my mind that this is the recommended solution for Invisalign users.

Love it. I really appreciate how informative it is and how you can track your progress with selfies, it would be super cool if you could have a 3D model or scan that shows how your mouth will look with each new set.

Clin check. I visited my dentist today. She had just seen the Invisalign rep. The rep left the impression that patients could scan a QR code and access their own animation if the process as teeth mouth through the weeks. That would make the app 100 times more relevant. As it is. I think the app present no value to me.

Aligner settings don’t save. Despite following the instructions on the FAQ, I haven’t been able to save my new aligner settings including days of wear.

Confidence booster. I have had my invisalign since June 23, 2022. It’s now January 4th, 2023. I will be done February 11th, 2023. I was always insecure about my smile, invisalign has given my confidence back and made me less insecure. Basically right away you can notice the change, it does cause discomfort but all I’m worth the money.

A bit frustrating to use. I just found that if I forget to use the app for a day to track when I take my Invisalign trays out to eat, I don’t get to edit the time the next day. In fact, the app seems to be reading it as not having worn my trays at all. I have enough of a daily routine that it would be easier and more useful to have the app remind me to use the time tracking function during breakfast, lunch, and dinner times. Sadly, this is still the best of the Invisalign wear tracking apps. The others have worse UI’s or don’t have much of a history function at all.

Do some user research. It’s super evident that if you observed even a few users using this app you would notice that the photo comparison feature lacks basic usability principles. What do you want to do with photos ? You want to do more then just look at one, you want to be able to swipe ! But no you made it super difficult by making us click into each individual photo. Also who chose the video speed? It literally switches in milliseconds, I find it super annoying. I find all the other features also pretty useless! It would be nice if you could set a timer letting you know when it’s time to put your retainer back in. Once again, if you observe even a few users using this app you can make it better! you wouldn’t have made these super obvious usability flaws.

Easier way to message doctor?. I feel like there should be a more direct way of messaging back and forth with the doctor, rather than only being limited to 500 character comments on either new care photo posts or old posts you’ve already commented on. There needs to be a way to simply message the doctor when you have a question, and go back to this conversation to text back and forth with ease in a much more accessible manner with no limit. In other words, a simple chatroom feature NEEDS to be added, where we can easily text or send photos in one chat area if we need to quickly ask something.

Fine, but pointless. This app is fine, though mostly just an attempt to get you to buy accessories and subscribe to marketing. It’s surprising that I have to enter all the data in myself given that Invisalign designed the treatment plan. The app should be telling me how many stages, and how often they change. The timer isn’t useful because as soon as you forget it once, it becomes inaccurate. A watch app would make it much more useful. There isn’t much else here except a shop. About the most useful thing is the reminder to change each week, but that can be done in lots of apps. You can’t change account details because the field types are wrong (for example, using a numeric keypad, for a name field). You can’t save changes unless you fill in every field, even optional ones. The password field doesn’t integrate with iOS password support. Basically, it feels like something that was built once a few years ago and is now in maintenance mode.

Manual entry, does not automatically track trays, refinements and retainer. The title pretty much says it. Personally the app has not been any more useful than a basic timer. Despite providing a patient number, I still had to manually input the info for my first set of 24 trays. Neither the 7 subsequent weeks of refinement nor the retainer have shown up in the app. What’s the point of providing a patient number if it doesn’t link to your Invisalign file? I suspect my provider printed the retainer himself as it is very clumsily made, and is trying to pass it off as Invisalign. I was hoping to confirm the authenticity here but it seems like it is not possible.

Please fix the bugs. This app is NOT doing well. The main thing I wanted to use it for was to keep time on how long I had my aligners our. If you remember to log when you take them out, but forget to log when you put them back in, there’s no way to manually override the clock. While I remember to put my aligners back in ASAP, I frequently forget to actually log it on the clock in the app. You should be able to reset it. Therefore the only thing I use it for now is to keep track of my progress photos. Well today I logged in and 3 of them were just gone. I am so upset and frustrated bc I didn’t save any backup photos of my teeth shifting because I didn’t think they’d just disappear from this app. Not being able to use it for the 2 things you need to use it for makes this app pointless.

Fantastic!. Interface is user-friendly, easy-to-read, and accessible for everyone who throws away/skips the instruction manual just to Google it later on 😂 Just a personal preference, if we could have a toggle switch for the timer settings - e.g. having the option to assume that aligners are OFF unless indicated otherwise rather than the current, that assumes aligners are ON unless paused - that would make it better imo 💕 Also nice that they don’t have visible third-party ads. Keep up the good work!

Needs lots of work; I can’t get through checking my insurance. Overall the app is a really cool idea however there are many design issues. Some of this include fields not being labeled so you have no idea what information you are supposed to be entering, repeating fields, and being unable to search for your insurance provider and instead having to scroll through a list that is 100s long and the box is too small for you to see the full name without going through each and every one. I haven’t been able to get past trying to check for my insurance because of these issues, it just says try again and oh no it looks like something went wrong

Decent. App works alright, I agree with the prior comment about being able to set reminders/ timers to put aligned back in. Also they should add a retainer timer feature as well, after 6 months of treatment I need to wear my retainers 22 hours a day for 6 months so It would be nice to be able to have the app help me stay on track with that. Also when I’m done with my full time retainer wearing I wish there was also a feature to remind me to put them in at night when I reach that step in treatment so I don’t forget to wear them to bed.

Time Log Issues. I’ve been using Invisalign for about 2 weeks now, I used the time log very diligently to get an accurate track of my wear time. This app was working perfectly until just last night. The app changed 10 straight days in my log time to 24 hour wear time. The first 4 days reflect my actual wear time when I’d pause and start, but then my actual wear time data for the next 10 days was overridden and now reflects 24 hour wear time. I’ve attempted to log out and delete and reinstall the app and nothing fixed the issue. I really feel like the app has ONE main function and that’s the time log. If that can’t even work then this app is essentially useless.

Helpful but meh. Pros: - Keeps track of when to change alignments. - The ability to track an estimate of wear time. - Makes one mindful to wear trays. Cons: - Recorded wear time is off quite frequently the next day. - Doesn’t sync well with my Apple Watch. - App appears to be “buggy”. - Can’t manually adjust on/off wear time the day of making entries. Have to wait the next day. - Could be more user friendly if one has to adjust calendar dates for changing trays. This app could use a lot of improvement from the developer. It has some positives as indicated above, but so many negatives. Invisalign is not a new company, so one would think the app should be much better by now.

Great app but timer is not accurate.. This is a great app. The only issue I have with it is the timer. I take my aligners out 3 to 4 times a day for no longer than 30 minutes at a time. Most days the timer is pretty accurate. Other days it shows I’m non compliant. I do the same routine everyday so I’ve never been non compliant. Other days it says I kept my aligners in for the entire 24 hours when I stopped the timer the the same as I do everyday. Other than that it’s a great app to track your progress.

It’s impossible to create an account if the app crashes during registration. When I first received my aligners, my orthodontist informed me about the app. Once I got home, I promptly dowloaded the app and began entering my information. Near the end of registration, my app crashed. When I reopened the app and attempted to beging registration again, I was greeted with an error message that my ID was already registered. I tried signing in (no luck), resetting my password (was greeted with another error message), and I’ve filled out a few different contact me forms from Invisalign. So far, I’ve just been left unattended. I wish I could review this app, but I can only rate the inability to register and the unresponsive customer service.

Keeps me in check. Love the app and all its features. Photo progression, tracking your time (in & out) etc I would however change the reminder time ticker. It currently only has 15mins, 30mins, 1 hr, 1 1/2hr etc. I’d actually like to just have a wheel with 1 mins increments where I can set the dial to any minute time frame I want ie:20 mins or 45mins. I’d also like for my pictures to have a zoom feature. I currently have to screenshot and zoom.

Perfect for my Invisalign needs. The timer (technically a stopwatch) is the main feature. It has been extremely successful at shaming me when I’m too lazy to put my trays on. The app’s reminders are also nice for when I forget to switch trays. The camera feature allows me to see my progress and subsequently look away in horror at the sight of my ugly face. This app has been an integral part of my routine for the past 2 years. I hope I will be able to uninstall it in about a month.

Calendar Messed up after update. This app was working perfectly fine for me . Everything changed with one of the recent updates .my existing calendar got messed up. My tray changes every alternate tuesday and i have tried to change the setting to make it every other tuesday but the calendar doesnt seem to take it and seems to prefer sunday . One thing i would like to add here is , i started my program in USA and i am currently in India on a vacation , could this possibly be becoz of timezone change ?

What is going on with this app?!?. I’ve been on Invisalign since May and have never had any issues with the app until the past couple of days. First, it wasn’t always registering when I put my aligners back in after eating, therefore skewing my time for that day, and then the past two days it won’t recognize my aligners being in at all and says I’ve had them out for two full days! I don’t know what is going on but it’s a bit frustrating and there doesn’t appear to be any info re troubleshooting on this in the app.

Not useful. This app is rather useless. The only features that work are the reminder of when to change your aligners (which I could easily do with my phone’s calendar) and the ability to take selfies (again, completely redundant as my phone does that as well). The timer is glitchy and not overly helpful. You would expect the ability to view your projected outcome through the different weeks. They claim that has to be set up with your provider’s office, but that’s just ridiculous. They create the aligners, the ClinCheck and the app. You enter your ID into the app, yet there is no real reason for doing so. It’s really just a way to get your private info. Don’t bother downloading unless you want to give your info out for no apparent reason.

Timer broken. I love the idea of using this app to time how long the aligners have been out on a given day, but that functionality is broken (at least on my phone). Yesterday, I had 2 hours and 53 minutes on the timer for non-wear time. This morning, I go into the timer log, and it says I only wore them for 11 hours and some minutes yesterday? What is it basing that number on? What makes the app think there was additional non-wear time that I didn’t time? I edited the time, but this has happened repeatedly in the 3 weeks I’ve been using the app, so I have no useful information to share with my dentist, other than my edited estimates, and I’m about ready to just delete the app.

Couple be better…buggy time tracker.. I recently started my Invisalign journey and I have downloaded the app for this reason. It was great for the first week and out of nowhere the time tracker started to say that I was not wearing my trays for the required amount of time. This was frustrating because I was sure I was logging my time correctly. Out of curiosity, I stopped using the app for three days and after opening it again, it stated I did not keep my trays in… keep in mind I did not use it. Cool concept, just needs a few bugs fixed.

Pictures are cutting off in grid/box. No Flash.. Recently I find the flash is gone when taking weekly photos of my teeth progress. Also, even though I align my teeth position inside the grid/box, it cuts off and I end up having to retake over countless times to show all my teeth for each position. The sensor doesn’t seem to capture and becomes zoomed in. Please help fix this. I end up spending longer to take pictures each week because it cuts off my pictures. I constantly need to retake again and again.

Good App but minor issue. This app is great for keeping track of when to change your trays however sometimes the app doesn’t send the notification saying it’s time to change to a new tray. The day will come to change my trays and the app doesn’t send a reminder so I forget to change them and end up messing up the schedule. i have to go in a recharge everything and sometimes the settings change. i’m on a five day rotation and it changed it to a 6 day one. one time it said i was on a 30 day rotation.

So far great. I’ve had my Invisalign for four days. So far great. I’m finally getting faster at taking them out and putting them in. I love the timer to keep track of how long they are out. Thanks for adding that. I’m not feeling any pain. At first a little pressure, but nothing like my old braces of 50 years ago. Glad I can correct my bite which has moved over the years. Thanks for a great product.

App not resetting the time for the next day.. I was using the app just fine for the first 14 trays but now I’m having issues with the app’s time not resetting for the following day. When I start a new day, the time allotted for previous day will still be on the timer and I then have to resort to using my phone’s stopwatch to track my tray time for the day and record it. This is tedious and unnecessary and could be preventable if there was a function on the app that would allow you to reset the time on the same day. Waiting to change it on the following day is ridiculous. Please fix this.

Needs more options. I just started my treatment and was very excited to get the app thinking that one of the things I’ll be able to see was the 3D scan of my teeth and with that see a simulation of how the treatment was going to evolve. A few years ago, I did a treatment with a lower cost competitor and they had that feature in their website, I thought for sure, Invisalign had that too. Update: my doctor emailed my my plan using ClinCheck but every time I try to open it in the app, the images don’t download.

Cool little app... minus the timer. It would make LOADS more sense to have the timer track how long our aligners have been out, rather than how long they’ve been in. Or, at least allow us the option to choose how we want to track our compliance, with the former suggestion being one of our options. I don’t know about anyone else, but it’s way easier for me to see how much more time I have left to have my aligners out, so I can better plan snack time! lol also, the idea of the timer running for 22 hours a day makes me a little bit uncomfortable. hopefully we can expect these changes soon!

Timer Needs Work. I love the idea of this app, especially the timer. However, I agree with many other reviewers that the logic behind it’s set-up seems “off”. I don’t want to have a timer running all day/night. So, I use the timer to keep track of the total time that I have my aligner out during a given day. I intend to continue using it this way, and will thus be marked “non compliant” each day. A response was given on another review that there was an update to edit the timer and compliance, but I have not been able to locate that feature and have to most up-to-date version of the app.

It’s meh. They really should switch the “non wear time” from play to pause.....the app should count how long the aligners are in your mouth vs how long they are out of your mouth, I keep making the mistake of not pausing the app once I put the aligners back in so it looks like my non-wear time is longer than my wear time. Also, they should include your “predicted smile” since they ask for your unique case number when you sign up....I mean, it’s all just sitting on a computer somewhere in the Invisalign lab anyway, why not make it useful to the client?....they should also include tips and tricks, do’s and don’ts......this app could be SOOOOOOO much better and SOOOOOO mouth more useful

Love the idea of this app. I really love the idea of this app but unfortunately it has a couple issues. There are times when overnight it changes to say they are out which then messes up the entire day. If I could edit the current day I would be able to fix this so I could still use the app. Unfortunately instead I had to have a third party tracker app for the days when this messes up. I am positive that I had the app set to showing them as “in” before I went to bed. This has happened twice but other than that I love the app and find it very easy to use and helpful!

Shockingly bad, worse than useless. You’d think with the thousands of dollars they get from each customer they could have hired at least one decent software engineer. This app does not function in any useful way. The simplest reminder to change trays has always been wrong. While they make you connect the app to your individual trays, none of your information comes through. It decides when to tell you to change trays. These days conflict with what your dentist tells you. So you’d be better off putting calendar alerts on your phone manually and NEVER DOWNLOAD this frustrating nightmare of an app. Shame on you

Good for tracking, when it actually works.. The app is awesome when it actually works. Half the time the timer won’t reset for the next day so it’ll show that I’ve already had it out for two hours. When you check the time log it’ll randomly change to saying you had your aligner in for 24 hours, so you can’t properly track because it’s showing you inaccurate times. Also I hate that you can’t edit the timer until the next day. So if you forget to pause the timer when you put your aligner back in, you can’t edit it at all. I hope they update this app and take the time to improve it, it’s a very useful tool when it works.

App won’t load past login. The app was great until the recent update and now it just won’t work. When it works, you can track how long your aligners have been in & out which is helpful and it has reminders on when to put them back in or to change your trays. It’d be great if it worked again, but since it won’t- 1 star. Update- after deleting and re-installing the app twice, it’s back to normal.

Not very useful. When I downloaded this app, I saw that someone had already complained that the timer doesn’t time just when you take the aligners out, but the opposite - you’re supposed to record the time you have the aligners in. That’s ridiculous. I don’t need a timer for how much I have them in because in the morning it’ll represent that I have had the aligners in overnight, but not how much of the 2-4 hours I have left after I have breakfast. I would have a timer that a person could set for either 2, 3, or 4 hours and all the half marks in between and make the goal to be to stay under that mark. But none of that is in the app. The only thing I think I can use it for is to set when I change my aligners, but I was already doing that with my iPhone calendar, sooooo, I really don’t need this app.

Apple Watch App is not working. I like this app on the iPhone, but the Apple Watch app is not working which I think it could be very useful/easier in tracking if it works. The Apple Watch app kept crashing every time I tried to start it which was very annoying and I hope it’ll be fixed soon, I tried multiple things both of my iPhone and Apple Watch are the latest series and up to date so I believe it should be something from the developer side bc I read many ppl are having the same issue as me. Thank you!

Timer auto starts. Maybe it’s me, but the timer auto starts whenever I open the app saying I have them out. I don’t. So I went back and looked at my history, and apparently didn’t notice that the timer had started because it was saying a few days I only hit 16 hrs in.... I’m pretty dedicated, most days hitting 21-22 hrs. Just frustrated. Overall the app isn’t super useful. It would be nicer if there was a message board from the community. When I first got them I had to google advice to deal with the canker sores.... it should just be in the app.

Calendar not working !. The app has that I am on my 2nd trays but I am on my 3rd, and the calendar won’t let me update it to fix it. This is very frustrating ! I got the same response that everyone else got about their complaints, which was to go to a website address that they gave me to give more information . It was no surprise that after giving my information that site did not work either ! So nothing has been resolved and the app is useless , so I will be deleting it !

OK, corporate app. It’s shiny and colorful with some useful features to draw you back to adds you can ignore pretty easily. There’s a timer to track how long you’ve had your aligners in, but it would be more effective if it could show how long you’ve had them out that day (or at least two timers running in tandem). It would also be really useful to be able to edit it in case you forget to tap the timer. You can change the total time post facto, not on the current day, but you can’t fix a mistake that day and let the app know that you actually put your aligners in half an hour ago.

Decent, but some frustrating gaps. Like: 1) Timer for aligner out time 2) Tracker for which tray and how far along you are. Dislike: 1) Requiring login every time 2) Requiring to be on network 3) Inability to change time same day I’ve often been in a place where I didn’t have service and needed to take out my trays. I can’t log in because I’m not on network. So, I’ve had to make a note of how long they’re were out. But, I can’t add that time same, day. So, I either have to play the math game to get the time to add up that day or change it the next day. Also, if I put my trays back in but forget to pause the timer, I’m burning time and can’t edit it until the next day. This makes it challenging for a product that requires significant time for effectiveness. Feature change requests: 1) Offline functionality 2) Ability to change time same-day; allow me to add or remove time.

Not working….. I loved using this app when I first started Invisalign in February 2022. I rely on the reminders from the app to change my aligners every week, but suddenly the reminders stopped about a month ago. Two days later, when I hadn’t promptly changed my aligners because I didn’t receive a reminder, I went to the app, and it would not load. I have tried every few days to open the app since with no success. It just shows the loading dots after my login information is accepted. I see there was a recent update, but it did nothing for me… I had to delete the app and reinstall for it to work.

Calendar isn’t very edit-able. My Invisalign plan requires me to wear one aligner for two weeks and my dentist had me push the changing day by one day because of appointment availability. The app can’t handle this (won’t let me select certain days beyond some arbitrary number, plus even if I could I’d still have to edit every single week after because they’re all separate events). So now for the whole second half of my treatment it shows the wrong aligner number. Makes more sense for me to use a Google calendar.

Multiple bugs, clunky interface. App logs me out. When attempting to “Confirm” an aligner change I just get a spinning wheel and it won’t update. Have to force quit the app, because “Confirm” is the only choice and it doesn’t work. I don’t need a whole calendar. Just record that I changed an aligner, ask me how many days I’m wearing that one, then set a reminder to change it. This whole interface of telling how many aligners I’m going through and how many days for each and then updating an entire treatment plan on a calendar. For what personal value? None. It just means a simple process is made complex. My days of wear change! My treatment plan changes! Your just making this hard to use for your customers.

Great idea, poorly executed. I like the app for what it’s *supposed* to do, however it doesn’t work. I start the timer when I remove my trays and begin it again when I reinsert them. However, a day or two later the app will show I kept my trays in for 24 hours. Other times the math is inaccurate. For example, if my tray time out total is 1:45, then 22:15 should be the time in reflected. The app will say time in was 23:15. I’m a little disappointed because I loved the concept of the app and wanted something to help me keep track of the time. I’m still having to manually manage the time myself which defeats the purpose of the app.

Timer issue. I’ve had my Invisalign since June of 2022. At first I loved the timer and it worked great. Some months ago, it stopped working. For example: I would hit play and set a 30 min reminder when the aligners were out and go eat. I would get the 30 min reminder notification but when I go back into the app to hit pause, it only has like 2 min recorded. Which is when I’m guessing my phone screen timed out and it stopped actually recording the time. Not sure what caused the changed bc I used it for the majority of my first round of trays but I had to stop using it towards the end of my first round and right now during my refinement period

Latest upgrade doesn't support patients in treatment. The link for "unlocking new app features" for current patients doesn't work. When I click on it, and answer "yes" to the "have you picked up your aligners" question, it spins and spins. I have tried restarting my phone, deleting and reinstalling the app. Same behavior. The app is now worthless for patients and I've lost all of my progress pictures and time tracking history. UPDATE: after making this complaint, I woke up the next morning, logged into the Invisalign app, and VOILA! Everything was back in its rightful place! Thank you, developers :)

Needs improvement. In the beginning I loved this app. It helped keep track of my trays, reminded me to change it, I was able to take pictures of my improvement and compare them. But, in the last 3 months I havent been able to open the app. It asks me to log in and then gets stuck on the loading screen for over an hour. I’ve updated the app to the most recent one & still no luck.

Huge Security/Privacy Issues!. Horrible. By using the app/creating an account, they get rights to distribute your photos, email address, birthday, doctor’s name, and more!!! That’s ridiculous, a huge security risk, and just plain disgusting. NO thanks. Here’s the actual wording: On the “Terms and Agreements” page: “8.1 You grant Align a perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable, transferable right where applicable law allows to copy, translate, modify, distribute and use all digital images, photos, your first and last name, Invisalign ID, birth date, e-mail address, your Doctor's name and contact information, data and other content that you upload or transmit through the Application ("Your Content "), and prepare derivative works from Your Content for the Licensed Purpose.”

No Apple Watch, requires internet. This is a revised review after three days of having my aligners (and the app). I’m afraid the official My Invisalign app pales in comparison to a highly-rated third-party app. The lack of Apple Watch capability is problematic, but the real weakness of My Invisalign became apparent when I tried to use it yesterday in a place where I had no internet connection. I could not even get into the app, either with Touch ID or with the PIN. If it will only work in places where one can get on the internet, then it’s not generally of use to me. Sorry to say that I’ll be deleting this one and sticking with TrayMinder.

Not worth the aggravation. If there was enough room for a title to this review, I would have made it “Too difficult to use, too easy to screw up, impossible to reset”. I can live with the first two, but once you’ve tried to adjust your initial use date or changed the date when you move to your next aligner, good luck trying to get your calendar right. Yes, I got my days mixed up in my head. Been very, very busy with what’s going on and I inadvertently moved the day I started to Thursday when I should have kept it on Wednesday. Plus, it automatically counts your first day as a deficit of participation. My first set was in at 2:30 pm, but due to the limitation of options in the app, it shows I had them out of mouth between 12 am to 2:30 pm. Why not start the clock at the moment of first use? Once it was out of whack, it was useless. So now I deleted the app and just rely on diligence. I lose about a half hour with each meal and will graduate to a new set each week on Wednesday at 2:30 pm. Put more thought into this bloatware.

Buggy but still useful. The timer is really buggy. Apparently it was initially a timer for how long you had your aligners IN, but then they changed it to how long the aligners are OUT. Well, sometimes it randomly starts the timer at midnight, presumably reverting to the time in clock. This makes the timer rather less than useful. But after a couple weeks I just started going on feel as to how long I’ve had them out, and am just using the app to tell me what day to switch to the next tray.

Update caused problems. After the March 27th update the current aligner and next aligner buttons on the home page changed on their own. My current aligner went backwards by 5 and the next aligner day was 2 days early. The calendar itself still maintained the correct aligner and dates though. It was easy to adjust the info for the home page but it shouldn’t have changed on its own like that.
