A solid tool to learn rhythms. This is a very well designed app to learn rhythms. The exercises start out with basic rhythms and get complex as one makes progress. I love the feature where the tempo slows down automatically if one makes repetitive mistakes. I like the simplicity of the app. There are not too many configuration options to tinker. I think, $5 a month is a steep price to pay for what the app does. With the free version you get 10 minutes to practice on a daily basis, which is not bad. Certain options are still disabled. I am using another comparable app, ReadRhythm, for which, I paid a one time price $4. I would still place Rhythm Trainer as a superior product. Hopefully, a reasonable pricing will be in place, soon.

Beginners be warned. The application determines the tempo for you. There is no way to set a tempo for yourself and practice at your own pace. App will force you to work at the very edge of your capabilities and then it will suggest that you take a break because you are failing perform well enough at the tempo it determined for you. I dont know if this is a teaching technique or not but it doesn’t seem to work very well for me. I won’t be renewing my subscription.

Snare Drummer over 40 years. Started reading rhythm at the age of 13 in intermediate school. Today I am 57. I’ve been reading rhythm for a very long time. This is a great program for site reading and listening while reading the notes to learn how to read rhythm and hone your skills. When I have a few minutes of downtime, I like to bring out my phone and learn some of the more intricate patterns and higher level rhythms.

Great app... One critique. One thing holding me back from 5 stars is the automatically slowing of the tempo when you're making mistakes. You'll go through these practice sessions at 110+ BPM, and then it just drops down to 60 BPM. It seems that after just a few mistakes, it thinks it should slow it down further, which just messed me up even more... Pretty frustrating when learning a tricky set of bars.

Just what I was looking for in a rhythm training app. I recently started teaching piano lessons and was looking for an app that I could recommend to my students but also, frankly, help me bone up on my sight reading since I always struggled with rhythm notation past the basics. This app is exactly what I was looking for! They’re still adding features, but it’s professional, easy to use, and really helps. Can’t wait to see how they build on this already well designed and useful app. Highly recommended.

Great app but..... It is a great tool for increasing rhythm notation reading and practicing playing along with a metronome. I recommend it for any musician, not just percussion players. BUT..... There needs to be audio feedback when you hit the pad to play the rhythm it is testing you on. It HAS to happen or it doesn’t feel like you are playing music. As soon as they fix that, easily a five star app that I’d be happy to pay the secret fee for this free app.

Very Good App That Could Be Great. This app has been immensely helpful to me. It gives a logical progressive introduction to, and practice on hearing/recognizing/reading/tapping fundamental rhythms. It adjusts the tempo to your current skill level and requires repetition of the rhythms you tap incorrectly. I want to see further development beyond the highest level that’s available right now to build up to longer phrases and even more complex rhythms. This is the best app I’ve found for embedding rhythms into the unconscious...no frills, just a straightforward, user-friendly interface for effective, efficient daily practice. You’re onto something good here guys. Don’t stop now. Take it to the next level! 👍

Great app! Small changes could make it much better.. This app has helped a lot. In just a few days of training I can find the down beat so much easier. There are a few things that would help make it better: Customizable tempo: 1. moving the tempo down after I fail is great, but if I'm doing really well and them I'm introduced to a new concept at 100+ BPM Its incredibly frustrating. 2. User's should be able to add a bar between listening and playing. Give us more time to think and cement the concept as well as the tempo.. Other: 1. User's should have the option to have the drum sound to when they tap. Would help with people who are listening by ear. 2. Does the gift cards actually exist? I've done more than 30 minutes of recording and nothing has come of it. Also I'm an actor so if you'd like footage of someone using your app, feel free to reach out. 3. Brief tutorials of text such as " with a triplet an easy way to count out loud is 1-trip-let," or "on this one really try and feel the downbeat"

By far the best app I have seen for the topic. I found id more helpful and practical than the rhythm training section of many famous apps even EarMaster. Great Job! I recommend it to my students and to everyone needs rhythmic accuracy.

Not enough features for $5 per month!. If I could pay a one-time fee I would have bought it with the features it has. To demand a $5 per month fee you need to have daily personalized exercises for me. I only pay monthly fees for actual monthly services. Meaning you need to be adding new content or personalization constantly. Otherwise it is just like an e-book. I should be able to make a one-time purchase. I was enjoying this app and I wanted to sight read but it does not look like there are enough features for a monthly fee.

A totally boring and stressful way to practice. I am studying to be a music teacher right now and play a wind instrument. Downloaded it to see how useful it could be for teaching. For beginners it starts having you read rhythms with no verbal explanation of what to do and very quickly you must automatically know to repeat it back without being told to. An annoying voice is counting the rhythms and you must repeat rhythms you get wrong over and over. Then I tried the placement test which assessed my rhythmic skills well and gave me some challenging ones I wasn’t used to. I then realized that the only way to use this app is tapping your finger and I was thinking, “How well can this really apply to instrument playing or singing? Maybe it could be good for percussion players but no one plays with just one finger.” People play music in different ways, so they should practice rhythms in different ways to get better. TL;DR This app is not a good tool for learning music, there’s no variety to it, but may be a way to pass the time if you don’t mind the monotony or the robot voice.

Outstanding app. This app is outstanding and has just eradicated issues I have struggled with re rhythm for YEARS! Happy to pay for subscription - honestly - it’s worth it - and if you truly stick to the app, you’ll really master rhythm, I’m sure. I’m on my second week and so much more confident with all this rhythm. If this is an area you think you might potentially struggle - spend a few weeks w the app.

Great app except for subscription. App is excellent. Thought about purchasing the full version to use with my students. It says $4.99 here on the preview page. In the app however, it is a subscription for $4.99 a month. This is a VERY good app but not $60 (plus taxes) a year good. I’d be willing to pay $20-30 to own the app but these subscription based models are just nickel and dime-ing my finances away. Creators deserve to make money though and I hope there are others who find this useful.

Fantastic App So Far. It is very intuitive, and well done. Great aid for teachers and fun—if you like rhythms! I read some negative reviews that complain about good aspects of the app. The only issue I actually saw was someone mentioning it would skip a sixteenth note sometimes. I have not had that problem at all.

Best sight reading trainer. Underrated app. I’ve had this app for a couple of years and there is never a moment it doesn’t get updated even for small things like bugs. The Devs work hard to make learning fun and enjoyable. I really appreciate that. Learning rhythm is hard and I struggled with it for years. This game takes away all the overthinking I do and teaches me starting from square one. The Devs are constantly adding fun little things that are game changers in my book, like the two hands game they just added. Very humbling. The only thing that I can possibly add to more is if they added a program where the metronome counted the rhythm that we press, exclusively and not just on the quarter notes. I think hearing someone count it out for them will definitely help. They had it in the beginning but took it out. I guess people were complaining. Also another good function would be some kind like reward system, where if we get enough points for perfect games, we could customize the app colors or something. Just throwing that out there. Other than that I love this app. I honestly play this whenever I get bored anywhere or anything. Keep up the good work Devs.

Best Rhythm App. I have more than 10 apps for rhythm and this is the best - simple user interface, ability to gauge your level and adjust difficulty as you progress. I wish they had machine learning adopted to it so that app learns as I do.

Wow. It’s been amazing to watch this app start as just a handful of basic rhythmic exercises to what it’s become today - which is a dynamic, comprehensive, intuitive, fun and effective rhythmic course. And now there’s challenge songs! It’s amazing. If you want to improve your rhythm, regardless of level, this is absolutely the best app you could get.

It’s good. I love the app, but there’s just one thing that is not the fault of the app, but you need to be aware of. DO NOT USE BLUETOOTH HEADPHONES! It was frustrating because I just kept missing the last 16th notes in a measure, until I realized I was using AirPods. They have a delay around 250 ms which is a TON for a rhythm game. Use wired headphones instead

Best I’ve seen but needs more features. I’ve really liked the app so far. I’m a piano student trying to get better at sight reading and this app has been a great tool for rhythm training. A couple points of feed back, however: 1. The app is missing crucial constructs such as tied notes. Real music can be much more complicated than this app’s exercises. 2. I don’t like the subscription payment model. An app like this should be a one time charge. Especially since I don’t see new features being released on any schedule. 3. The lessons feel somewhat repetitive. The names of them are often identical and I don’t know what makes one exercise different from a previous one. 4. Some ideas for much needed features: tempo control, playback on missed lines, and MOST importantly - support two-staff rhythm training. I want to be able to tap with both thumbs, one for each staff. This would help IMMENSELY with reading piano music. Overall, it’s a good app. The best I’ve tried, even. But it feels like it’s in its fledgling youth and needs a little love, still.

Thank you so much. I have been playing saxophone for 5 years now but couldn’t move forward because I can’t get the rhythms half of the time this helped me like you have no idea thank you so much <3

Awesome!. I Really had a hard time figuring out how to perfect my 8th note. But this App helped me achieve that. This App also is quite nice the App says good job or keep going. I like the fact that it will tell you what the beats per minute is for the whole level. And if you want to perfect your piano playing this is the App for it!

One of the most frustrating apps. I don’t usually have “gamer rage”, but sometimes this app brings me close to it. I am improving my rhythm little by little with it, but it is really stressful like a strict ballet teacher. For roughly half of the exercises you repeat after its rhythm pattern, and it jumps right to your turn after—sometimes within an eight beat. This is hard to time perfectly. Even being slightly off can mark it wrong. The app takes charge a lot, slowing down the BPM when it thinks you’re doing poorly, telling you to take breaks which ruins the flow of the exercise, and giving you tips you are often already doing like counting out loud. The other exercise is sight reading, and you jump from line to line with no warm-up. If you miss even one beat over several lines, your entire progress for that exercise will start back at zero. There is a slight forgiveness to when you tap, but not much. Now for the most frustrating aspect in my opinion—if the app decides you are doing too poorly at sight reading, it might take you back a level you already completed. This has caused me to spend a session redoing something I already passed, and having it revert again on the next session. TLDR this app will help you if you want near perfect rhythm, but if you’re like me it will frustrate you and not feel worth the subscription. It is a great idea but with a very demanding and unforgiving design.

Love It. Great apps that’s helped me go from no rhythm at all to passable rhythm (still not great.) One request that I think would be easy to add is “perfect” rhythm markers and mode. The markers would work in regular mode and give an extra indicator when the screen is tapped at exactly the right time (when the green note appears in a straight line underneath the black,) perhaps with some sort of border or sparkle animation. The mode would be a separate option in settings, when turned on the game only accepts notes hit perfectly on time.

White Men Can’t Rhythm. I have horrible rhythm. Though I am still making my way through the lessons, I am hopeful that I’ll be able to fill in on any drum line here in a month or two. The lessons are well structured, though the practice sessions could benefit from customization options.

A shame they made the Sight Reading a Paid Feature. I really liked this rhythm app despite its faults, but after they made the sight reading a paid feature all across the board, I am no longer recommending it to friends or family. $5 a month for this feature is way too pricey. This was a pretty great app for anyone new trying to establish and develop rhythm, but the sight reading contributed to a lot of it. Now that it’s gone, there isn’t anything unique that this app offers that a repeating a friend with wooden sticks wouldn’t be able to give.

Odd rhythms and unforgiving rating. I want to love this app. It has a lot going for it. However there are some glaring issues that make it not enjoyable to use. 1) Errors and Bpm slowing - while it makes sense to slow down the tempo if you are not grasping the rhythm, the app counts one mistake and equates it with an attempt that had several mistakes. For instance a 16th note might have gotten missed after a whole note rest and apparently that’s as egregious an error as having missed a whole passage. 2) There’s a small demo before you get to make your attempt, yet there is no count-in. So you simply have to jump right in or wait another two rounds if you want to process the pattern. 3) Some of the rhythms musically make no sense whatsoever. What’s the point of being competent at rhythm if not to get better at complex musical rhythms. I’m not trying to impress someone with my ability to meter out perfect negative spaces between broken notes.

Awesome app. I love this app. I'm the type to only download an app that's free and never cared to make in app purchases. This is the first app that really caught my attention to do that. I had problems playing syncopated notes (well just had problems with rhythm period) this is helping me smooth out the kinks in my playing. I feel like I'm slowly getting better as I continue with each level. It does require patience if it's your first time playing. If you're thinking about downloading it do it. It's worth it.😉

Must Have. Pulsations. Rhythm. Knowledge all musicians, composers and producers must have, and must master!!! It doesn’t matter your musical genre or skill level. Never forget the basics. Begin with mastering the basics. Learn to walk and then learn to run. Love this app! Fun at your reach, whenever and wherever!!!

Great! Maybe more complex?. Hello!! This is a wonderful app! I use it to help with my piano and I recommended it to my students that I teach! Let me just say that this app really helps students with their eight notes and counting rests and eighth rests…so far! I just started and it’s going great! Thank you! And also, just a quick consideration, it might be nice to include a part with longer rhythms that are multiple measures long? It would make me want to use it more and more, the longer you make each practice! I really appreciate the fact that this app is free too. Thank you so much.

Great app. Wish it would play through headphones. Love the training. Very well thought out. But I’d like to use this while in public spaces, like airports or trains. Wish it would just play the audio through whatever Bluetooth device I’m using instead of through the speak phone. Please make this happen. This is actually my primary use case and only time I can make for this. Thanks! Great work!

Shady. Get a different app. This app has decent functionality. But it’s very simple and limited. Doesn’t even have a menu. The worst part is they have you do a recorded session so they can figure out what to fix with the app. They promise a gift card. But when you try to claim it they’ll act like they don’t have your email. Then they’ll just stop replying all together. Shady app. You can find other apps who do the same thing but better

Broken since it doesn’t allow for simple quantization of input.. Not all phones are the same, not to mention that trying to tap a screen while holding it or when it’s on a smooth surface is NOT going to register correctly when this program is expecting input on the milliseconds. Needs a CALIBRATION TOOL or better yet an option to widen the accepted input timings. I played the same line in unison into Sibelius on a pad while also triggering the phone and Sibelius reported correct timings while this couldn’t even detect that an entire sequence was offset.

I love this app.. As a newbie to playing music and keeping a beat, I love this app because I am learning proper time signatures. This has me tapping my foot in time as I practice piano with JoyTunes app. At age 56 I decided to learn to play piano. I bought a keyboard but I knew my timing was off. I stop playing for awhile because I knew timing was my weak spot. Now I am coming back to regular practice and more confidence because of this app. Mahalo.

Great app. I really enjoy practicing rhythms with this app. I have been playing piano for almost 20 years but always felt shaky with rhythms. I bought it almost immediately . My only feedback is to have more diversity with songs. It feels like they have only one song that is constantly being utilized.

Only 3 due to payment options. The fact that this is a subscription app and not a one time payment app is pretty crazy. It is well made but many people aren’t able to practice religiously to put it to work and I don’t want to subscribe to something I can’t maximize the value out of. If I could just pay for lifetime access, I’d probably rate it higher but no chance is it worth it to most people to subscribe to a rhythmic sight reading app for phone only.

Good little app. As a music student who struggles with reading was looking for an app to practice every day. Of course there are websites like Teoria and Tonedear that is free, but wanted an application. I really like this application and use it for 10 minutes a day. The sight reading is great. Things that I wish this application had. 1. Concept of key signatures (e.g. Tapping rhythms in X/8 timing), the ability to clap in rhythms, one time purchase. I would love to support the application but $5/month is on the pricey side. Would rather do a one time purchase. The developer of this application is very active and seems to respond to inquiries. Great individual! All in all I gave it 5 stars because it does what it says it will do and the sight reading part of the application is unique compared to the other applications that I experimented with. Alas I am stuck with 10 minutes a day until a perpetual license becomes a reality.

Tried it for 5 minutes - floored. Amazing app for musicians who struggle with rhythm. Plan to subscribe regardless of whether I need the premium features to support the devs. I encourage other folks who find this app useful to do the same.

Liking this a lot so far. I love using this app to relax and get in the mood to practice my music. It would be great if the metronome and rhythm tone volumes could be adjusted. The metronome clicks seems so much louder than the faint little toms. (See update) Contrary to some of the other user’s complaints, I like that there is no count in. It’s hard, but I feel like the rhythm sinks in better. Update: The huge improvement you just made is great. Now the metronome doesn’t drown out my pattern and I can see what I’m doing. Thanks! Update:Reading exercises now come quickly after repetition exercises so the lessons really teach how to read. Turning into such a great app!

What a lovely app!!. Someone has clearly put a lot of thought and love of music into this app. Thank You!! p.s. Any chance you can support landscape mode on iPad? Or at least the inverted portrait mode? Charger plugged in won’t allow any other usage sadly :-(

Latency. I’m a professional musician and downloaded this to improve my rhythm. I tested to level 168 and enjoy the exercises but unfortunately because of the latency of the haptic/sound feedback it is very difficult because I’m trying to stay in the “pocket” and so I’m playing everything early so that the feedback sound lines up with the beat. If there were no latency it would be much better. Not sure how that can be improved though…

Awesome Music Education Tool!. I like how this app first demonstrates the rhythm then prompts you to repeat with a metronome in the background. I also like the progressively difficult rhythms in the lessons. I appreciate the ability to take a test so that I could skip ahead to the rhythm sections that I most need assistance with rather than wasting my time on elementary rhythms for my level of knowledge and skill. I recommend this app for beginning to advanced players of any musical instrument, including voice, especially if you’re retraining yourself after years without regular practice, as I am.

Almost perfect.. I agree with solarissparc. This is a great app, but needs a perpetual license to convert me to a paid user. I really like what it offers and how it is constructed. The only other innovation I’d live to see would be an ear to listen to my drum set in addition to the screen taps.

Extremely well designed concept…frustrating progress rewards. This is the most unusual feedback I’ve given for any app. The core design of this app is brilliant. I WISH I could love it.. But the timing response on my iphone 14 Pro is glitchy enough (or the tap feedback/timing is so strict) that even millisecond variations on complex rhythms (16th rests etc) are penalized and entire phrases take 3 or more successful iterations to advance….it’s SO frustrating that you’re ruining the gamification logic. Its like talking with someone who corrects the accent in your speech after every sentence. Its not fun. It makes me hate using it. Which is a tragedy because i want/need a tool like this. But this app makes me want to chuck my phone. 1. Allow for a configurable lenience to “griding” finger taps because the app isn’t accurate either. 2. Allow for advancing through the patterns with some incorrect without making someone get STUCK on a pattern…

Skipping Ahead. This is a very useful app for people who are staring out new to music rhythms, but I already play two instruments, double bass and bassoon. So I am already pretty good at rhythms. Then I had a rhythm in one of my music pieces that I was practicing and I just couldn’t quite figure it out. When I went to the AppStore I found this app. It had about a 4.5 star rating, so I thought it would be okay. Then I go into the app and it starts me off with easy quarter notes and eighth note stuff. I wanted to get to the section where it had sixteenth and eighth notes in one beat. If I really wanted to get there, I would have to play every level before that. I did not have time for it, plus I already knew most everything. I would only recommend this app to beginners at rhythms. Again, this seems like a very useful app, but for someone that has been playing an instrument for a couple years or more, it’s not very useful.

Monthly subscription is a no go. I downloaded it to see if it would be good for my students. I can’t ask them to pay a monthly subscription. The app says I rush my 16ths, maybe that’s what people like about my playing 😆, but the degree at which I had to lay back in order to get it to register properly seemed pretty extreme to me. I am on iPhone 6.

Most annoying app ever. Demonic counting voice obliterates feel for rhythm and will make you want to blow your brains out. Bought and cancelled the paid version. UPDATE: sensational improvements! You listened to your students and made outstanding upgrades — closer than ever to your mission statement. Bravo!

Wonderful app at the wrong price. The app is wonderful and it can really help practice rhythmic site reading at many levels of musicianship. However, the moment you want to contribute back to the developers you realize that the price is too high. At a price of 2 cups of coffee per month seems OK until you realize that there are no serious monthly updates and there is no reason for a subsection model except extracting more money from the users.

I like it. This app does a good job at helping to familiarize you with odd rhythms by tapping to the rhythm and repeating. It’s hard to say how much I have improved my rhythm using this app but I’d guess quite a bit. Great app, great resource for musicians who want to level up.

Good but has some glaring issues. My main issues are that it is stricter, like harder to score as “correct” if you tap slightly before the beat vs slightly after. That can get annoying It ironically gets harder the more you mess up, slowing down a lot makes it harder to get the rhythm down, especially cause of the reason I gave above about it being stricter if you tap slightly Too fast. Also the whole verbal counting with the robotic voice confuses/throws me off more than helps me

16th rhythms are too sensitive. Idk if this is a bug but the 16th note rhythms are way too sensitive and unless you get it exactly perfect, it fails you and you have to redo it until the bpm falls to like 40 and then that makes it even harder. Can we get an option to set the bpm or can the accuracy be less? I feel like I know the rhythm in my head and many times I tap it correctly but just a little off and it doesn’t let you pass

So far so good!. I've only been using this app for a day but so far I'm really enjoying it. I'm trying to bump up my sight reading skills and I find that rhythm is one of the hardest things for me to practice. This app is great! It is also visually appealing and forces you to follow important principles of sight reading, like having to keep playing even if you make a mistake. It also times you and lets you know when you've reached an ideal amount of practice for the day. After you've played through the first few levels, the app gives you the option to unlock the rest of the game for $15. This feels well worth it to me, as it is fun to use and a great way to practice while I'm away from my guitar. I may update this review when I've been using the app for longer, but for now I'm very happy with my purchase!

Good app but expensive. The subscription doesn’t do that much for the money.

Excellent Practice and Fair. I recently acquired the paid version. The reason I did was because of how fair the free version was. Rhythm training is something I feel I need more of and this is a great way to do it.

Great for single line instruments. So far I’m finding this great as a complementary resource to give to my students learning a single line instrument. Great to use when ensembles and bands are not running eg : ( holiday periods etc) and just generally throughout the year. Everyone’s sight reading is improving and they are gaining confidence. It’s quite fun to use too

Great app. Having had problems with rhythm, I’m so glad I found this app. It’s an excellent training aid! Has helped me to improve significantly.

Awesome. Awesome for rhythm training

It is ok. I did it and when l got to really high. When l got a rhythm wrong, it literally minus a third of your score...

Great idea and useful but limited and buggy.. When you’re doing semi quavers or even any note value the notes overlap each other. Even when doing it perfectly it says it’s wrong because it thinks you're trying to play a different note. This and the ten minutes a day dulls the experience exponentially.

Brawl stars is the best. Play brawl stars it is game on app store

Andy Xue. I really like it

I have just upgraded to the purchased version. I struggle with rhythm (2 years into learning the piano and this is my weak area) and started using this app for free. It’s a fantastic way to practice anywhere. I am finding it so useful i have just upgraded to the purchased version. My teacher always says it doesn’t matter to your listeners if you get a note wrong - however they will notice if you rhythm isn’t right. Thank you for this app.

Brilliant. Brilliant

Need more control. This app is alright, like it certainly improves your rhythm to a certain point. But the transitions from line to line are really confusing. And when you get it wrong, the metronome slows right down. Some people might find it even more difficult to do it slowed down (like me). I think it would be much better if you could chose your own metronome speed.

This b******t. I hit on time but showing me I didn’t hit it on the right time.

So well made & enjoyable. Love it. Love the interface, the way it plays & choice of sounds & skill progression. Unfortunately I can't afford the monthly subscription ($8aud p/month) but the free 10 mins of play per day is generous and enough for casual training.

Excellent. I think this is a really helpful app giving the student a variety of training for rhythm

Good for learning. Still great for learning to read rhythms, but as you progress to higher levels it becomes less and less forgiving of timing errors. It seemed like the tolerance suddenly became much tighter on the level when sixteenth note rhythms were introduced. It is good that it becomes more strict about timing, but it would be more useful to practice one thing at a time. Yes, reduce the tolerance, but allow practicing that with a simpler rhythm. When you repeatedly make a mistake, it automatically reduces the tempo until you get it right, which is a nice feature. But there is no warning when it does this, so I often found myself making additional mistakes due to the unexpected tempo change. It would be better if there were a visual indication that the tempo is about to change. It has at least two different ways of indicating whether you tapped early, late, or on time. Sometimes there are little green or red circles, sometimes they’re solid, sometimes they’re hollow, sometimes it explicitly says ‘early’ or ‘late’, sometimes it gives you little pop up windows with advice. I haven’t figured out what triggers the different feedback types.

Excellent training app... just do it. Best music rhythm app, ever. It motivates me to train every day ...

This is a great app. If you’re new to learning rhythm in music this is a really good app to use!

Bon, mais.... Appli intéressante, mais la voix ne compte qu'en anglais.

Adjustment of BPM to make it faster. Hey rhythm trainer, First off great app, it has helped me tremendously since using it but I would like to adjust the speed of the bpm, since majority of pop songs are within the bpm range of 80-130bpm. When do you think we will be able to adjust the bpm to faster speeds? Thx again

16th notes off tempo. The app is very interesting and user friendly, though I notice a bug with the 16th notes. When tempo is fast, the 16th notes move back off beat and it's almost quarter triplets... it's like it can't be played fast enough to reach the tempo. The app has to slow down at 85bpm to be synchro again with the 16ths. Thank you for looking at it!

Très bonne. This is definitely my favourite rhythm trainer, I have no complaints. I would like to see adjustable BPMs and possibly expanded curriculum in the future.

Dosent work properly. Bluetooth speakers don’t work with this app

Enjoyable. Lovely app Only issue is that you can’t adjust BPM and a lot of the time it’s just too fast. Superb app though, so I dearly hope they will add this feature, as BPM is an essential part to ones rhythm training. all best, Misha

Great but the subscription only is horrible. The app is really nice and I am not enjoying giving it a medium rating, but their subscription is a total scam. I would be ready to pay like even 30 dollars to have a permanent license, but no, they chose to make you pay month to month indefinitely only. Their monthly plan ends up costing so much the app is not worth it anymore. I’ll fix my review when they will fix their greed.

I Love this app. It is helping me a lot yo get good Rhythm

Review. Good trainer

Nice. I like the app but you have to be so accurate. 2 milliseconds off and it’s wrong.

Great for Free; too Expensive Paid. The app is informative and fun, and I would purchase the full version right away if it was about 60% cheaper per month; I would also give it 5 stars. Two stars lost simply because of the extreme monthly price

Great app. it’s really well designed and fun to practice. I struggle with maintaining focus - the daily practice has made a huge difference!

Great training features. When you run into trouble it counts!

Totally blown away. I don’t know about the premium version but, the free/default version took me my total surprise. Love it. Thanks!

Attempted aids only make it unusable. Voice aid is louder than the metronome. When you miss something the Bpm goes down making it so you have to play something different than you were practicing. Very terrible aids that only make it more difficult.

You can’t change the bpm yourself. The app is great for learning the different cadences between notes. The only issue I had was, after mastering a note pattern at a certain bpm, I wanted to try that same pattern at a faster cadence. But the app won’t let me do that

Training on demand. Excellent way to bring up ones chops When ever one has time . Excellent way to train to be the best at your art that one feels so passionate . Thank you ..

Really helpful. This app instantly allows you to read rhythm.

Great app!. I really appreciate the premium options: just $5/mo, no pay-for-a-full-year in advance. I probably wouldn’t buy premium otherwise.

Nice trainer. You should download this app if you want to start to learn some music beats

The best. Nothing gets close training your rhythm

Guides you. This app helps guide you to understand rhythms. I love this app because it’s fun and you’re learning at the same time!!!

Well made app, but needs more options. Great for music students. I like the app however needs further development. Check out ReadRhythm app. Users should be able to 1. Adjust tempo manually 2. Practice mode vs Test mode. Sometimes I don't want to listen to the sample, the point should be to test myself and get it right. The sample basically gives me the answer. 3. More advanced exercises

Amazing, everything that I wanted. I always struggled with rhythm and this helps me practice the way I always wanted to. And it is free? What more could I ask.

Beyond taps. After using taps in practices, I wish I could hit the string or play a key with the practices using an actual musical instrument.

Great app for learning rhythms. Even if you’ve been playing a while, it’s a great exercise to recall complex rhythms and syncopation

Nice concept. Found bug in one of the levels which hindered me from completing the exercise. Could not advance to next lesson as subsequent lessons are locked until completing the prior lesson. My finding was user error. The apps works great!

Great App…bad purchase model. This app is great. But, I’m never going to pay a monthly recurring fee. It’s just not going to happen. If I could buy it as a one time purchase I would happily pay.

Phenomenal!. This app is such a phenomenal tool for learning rhythm and becoming a rhythmic being. Understanding timing is very important for any musician.

An Ok Tool. Sometimes I feel like I'm just blandly repeating the rhythm without any real understand. Hearing the rhythm right before you play it is like being given the answers to a test in advance. Still I love the user interface: and with improvements, this could be a 5 start app.

Read. I don’t really like that it goes easy to hard NOT EASY TO MEDIUM. Other then that it’s just ok

Update Audio to Bluetooth. Please update this app to be useable through Bluetooth headphones. While Im in the office, I need this feature to do my lessons. Asap

Great app for getting your rhythms down. A very useful app for mastering rhythm. You learn rhythm by doing it and being assessed right away. This works well I love it.

This is amazing but...greedy. I find it really useful, but $4.99 a month is just too expensive, maybe if it was $1.99...I think you would make lots of money from music schools and universities if this all was like $15 to own all the features.

Decent app for learning fundamentals of reading music.. I wish the Bluetooth worked better, but at least it warned me.

Easy to use interface. I like how it sequences exercises one after another, letting me focus of the music exercises themselves. Only complaint is that it doesn’t play sound to my Bluetooth headphone, although I understand it’s tricky because my headphone has lag.

Perfect, teaches you to feel the rhythm. No other like it

Better now. I like it because it counts the rhythms !

Amazing app. This app teaches me rhythm I can now hear inside of songs and sheet music I can read the music and hear the rhythm

Yay rhythm 🎵. I’m really bad with rhythm, but this app really improved the basic counting and rhythm and learning how to sight rhythm something I thought I couldn’t learn ! Try it out it really helps !

Wow 🤩. It’s so helpful and fun to learn! I’m learning a lot with my rhythm skills

Finally!. I could read the chords and melody easy enough but have always had trouble picking up the rhythm from sheet. But no longer!! Awesome!!

Has glitches. Lots of glitches in this app, including the following: 1. Marks your rhythm as incorrect even when you got it right! So annoying when it does that! 2. When you take the placement test, it should allow you to skip levels! Instead, it doesn’t and you have to take it agin! I have taken it half a dozen times and NOTHING has happened!!

What a great App!. I have used a lot of ear training Apps in order to learn beats and rhythm, but so far this has been the best one. I know that in the long run it will get me where I want to go with my music. Thank you!

Timing. Truthfully I’ve always looked at good musical timing as a requirement but playing live or in practice with fellow musicians can be on time but not always so exacting; playing straight up and down on a note. Rhythm trainer is good to work on timing pure and simple.

Needs fixing. Two major problems noticed within a few minutes of using this app: - no sound plays when previewing or tapping the rhythm. Sort of defeats the whole purpose - no lead in count, so a phrase that starts with a rest has no context to understand when the 1 beat begins. Clearly whoever made this has never played an instrument.

Great for dusting off the cobb webs. Been a lot of years since I've worked off of sheet music and this has greatly accelerated the process of relearning how to read rhythm

Trains to mimic rather than to read rhythms. Please add a setting to turn off audible and visual rhythm queues. I find myself copying what I hear and see rather than reading the rhythm. The app is infuriatingly sensitive counting millisecond misses as incorrect. PLEASE FIX THIS or at least provide settings to relax this annoying behavior

Bluetooth delay accounted for?. Is the Bluetooth delay when using earbuds accounted for? I think it is but something just feels off

Ten minutes minimum. Too bad you can only do ten minutes

Not great. The streak counter doesn’t seem to work very well. Also I found trying to tap the 16th notes almost impossible and a relatively useless skill to develop. After 3 months I’m deleting and moving on.

Fire. This app helps me stay distracted during class

Great app waiting for more!!. I have really enjoyed using this app as much as I have found it beneficial. I am looking forward to an update with additional exercises.

No sound. The app has no sound, to it. It also keeps changing the beats per minute. There are better apps out there. Their support team won't answer my emails about the problem.

Good Game!. I love playing this game to help me improve my rhythm skills I had so much fun playing and I learned so much but this app would be so much better if there was no subscription... otherwise I love the app!!!😀😟😀

Great app. To the developer. Will more complex rhythms be added such as odd meter? Etc

It’s ok. It’s ok and helps with rhythm but it says daily free practice is 10 mins when it’s actually about 5. I set a timer to see and it cuts me off around 5-6 minutes

Pretty solid app to work on fundamentals.. You should support other time signatures like 6/8 or 3/2.

Good, but frustrating app. I enjoy the app and I think it does a good job overall. However, there are some things that are annoying, such as some unforgiving ratings and sight reading, which is almost unfair in its execution, totally ruining any progress if you make a single mistake.

Perfect for Trumpet. This app has really helped me with my Trumpet playing skills at school. And now I am the best trumpet player at my school!

Magical. I stared playing because I’m learning the drums and my teacher recommended it to me now I practice every day except for the days I’m with my teacher

It’s great!. Love it. Slows down for me to better understand what’s going on and it speeds back up once I start to catch on.

Great App. I use it to practice on my piano rhythms! Super fun and great if your bored and want to get productive

Piano. This is a really good app to use and I have been getting better and better at my rhythm. My piano teacher recommended this app to me and I love it. One out of five I would give it a six!
