Good app but…. For the most part, I love the app but what really irks me is that under the strength training tab, they have a whole bunch of exercises I’ve never heard of but no ability to manually enter exercises. For example: try to enter or find incline bench press…. You’ll find a couple odd exercises that are similar enough for me to know that if I use it, it really means incline bench press. I just want simple and to be able to type in the exercises I do and not have to search through a litany of fancy sounding names and not what I want. This shocks me too because everything else I’ve ever used from Garmin has been super simple and user friendly! Garmin, please fix this! I’ll be happy to write another review after you do!

Pretty good- not perfect. First, reading some of the reviews is a great time. Years ago I would have agreed with all of the negative reviews. With an old watch I did have difficulty syncing and there were problems when you added some faces and widgets. When I upgraded to the Fenix 6x pro solar a couple of years ago many of those problems stopped. Then at some point i just stopped wearing the Garmin in favor of the better looking but far inferior Tag Connected. When I started training for a 50 mile ruck I knew the Garmin had to be a part of the effort. And it appears the app has gotten better. Now I have no problems. Things run even better than my Apple Watch. Yes, there are things they could improve. But as it stands there is nothing that prevents me from using my watch exactly how I want to use it.

Simple & Convenient. The app, in my opinion, is a must for Garmin users. Especially, if you’re like me and keep a training log, but aren’t always consistent with updating the log. Or it can serve as your training log if you aren’t into keeping one by hand. It is also very helpful for athlete and coach communication. Because you can screen shot your heart rate information to your coach so that you can adjust workouts, and track your progress through heart rate. The app is essential for not only tracking heart rate, workouts, and other health factors that can affect your training. But also for adjusting the device settings; such as, the watch face, heart rate levels, notifications etc. My over all experience with app has been good. But ultimately if you’re looking into downloading the app it is important to ask yourself what do want out of your training and device. For example, if you have a Garmin watch and aren’t necessarily serious about training and/or your not that interested in sats you don’t need to download the app. However if you’re the opposite you should most definitely download because it will help you very much as it is simple and convenient to use over all.

Loving the Garmin World. I’ve been a happy Garmin device and Connect user for many years and it just keeps getting better. I recently purchased a Vivoactive 4 to replace my model 3 and I must say it’s a great improvement. The Garmin “eco” system is my go to for cycling and my watch.

Replaced my 220 with 45S. Finally ready to catch up with the cool people & get a smart watch. I LOVE IT. Ran with the Forerunner 220 for 6 years or so, this is awesome. I charge it for about an hour while I’m getting ready in the morning, and it hasn’t gone below 80%. Changing the face is easy and fun, the brightness is good. I think I’m annoying people talking about my sleep, steps, heart rate, etc. Haven’t tried it on a treadmill yet. But I definitely recommend this to any runner or someone that wants to stay or get into shape. 👍🏼

Glitching bad. The software is glitching and not allowing me to keep a watch face on my watch. It randomly defaults back to a random factory face with out me telling it to. In the app it says I have 4 watch faces installed but when I click on it there are only 3 to choose from. One of witch is the face it face that does not work and just gives me the create a face message even after I have created a face and told it to I install the face I created. Very disappointed with this development as I have been very pleased with Garmin up to this point.

minor issue: Face it custom hand colors not displayed. My favorite feature of this neat app is the myriad customizable watch faces. In the last few days, however, the watch has displayed the faces created with Face it with one minor problem: The custom colors selected are displayed properly on the phone but default to the usual black or white when displayed on the watch. The black tip of the second hand disappears over dark parts of the background.

Great for Data Geeking Out. Love my Garmin, love the data. ConnectIQ is easy to use, lets me track all the data that is important, and is constantly improving. Unlike other apps, it works consistently and provides REAL data, like productivity, VO2, etc. As a woman, the ability to track my cycle in conjunction with physical output is VERY helpful when it comes to energy cycles, etc. Love, love, love it!

Not for iPhone. Didn’t use the app for a hot second, went to log in and it wants me to read the user agreement. Okay, but when I click on it I can’t get out of it. If I click on United States, I can’t escape that. I close out of the app, it takes me back to the user agreement. I delete the app and redownload, that doesn’t work! I laughed a little to keep from crying. Apparently it thinks I have a back button, but alas I do not.

Can’t customize watch faces. I’m having problems customizing the metrics on my watch faces. I noticed the problem with a recent download and thought it must be the individual watch face issue. So I uninstalled the watch face, reinstalled and tried again. Same issue. I then attempted to customize other watch faces that I had previously been able to customize and had the same issues. Anytime I hit settings to customize the faces the app stays on a black screen. This happens for any watch face I install. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the connect IQ app and am still having issues.

Good app, almost…. I like the sheer volume of watch faces and have found several I like. My only issue is not being able to customize the fields in Face It. I would prefer to show a day/date as opposed to date only. I’d also like to add a field other than steps below the time. Perhaps this could be an update? I’ll still use the app as its truly handy and the costs aren’t bad for the ones that want payment. If you don’t want customization, this is perfect.

Great app, really easy to use. Pros: easy to use and connect to you phone. Lots of great watch faces and apps. Very customizable. Cons: not as many apps. Read full review for the rest I got this watch for Christmas and was a little bummed because it was not an Apple Watch. I quickly learned that it is an amazing watch and I actually prefer it to an Apple Watch because the app is really easy to use, it connects to your phone with ease, and you have more variety in your health information. This app is super easy to use and I quite enjoy my watch because of it. I would defiantly recommend it to a friend or someone else because it is a truly great thing.

Great app but..... This app is great! It helps alot with picking fun garmin watch faces but not all of them fit my watch. You should start making a version of every watch face that will fit all the watches. For example I have a forerunner 45S and not all of the cute watch faces fit my watch. it is very unfair in my opinion that not all of them fit or look good on mine. I hope you take my thought into consideration.

Stopped working. This app worked well for a few months. I was able to install and customize apps and watch faces on my Garmin Venu SQ. Then, today, for no apparent reason it just stopped working. When I start the app, it goes to the “Welcome” screen, asking me to read the EULA, as if it were the first time I’ve used it. I go through that, and get to the settings screen for my watch face, but when I ‘Save’ my changes I’m immediately taken right back to the Welcome screen. (And, of course, my changes are not saved or applied to my watch.) I’ve rebooted my watch AND my phone, updated my Garmin apps, uninstalled and reinstalled the apps, and even deleted and reconnected my device. No change. I’m really regretting my Garmin purchase at this point (and I’ll definely warn anyone who asks to steer clear of their watches).

Great Store. Recently bought a Fenix 5x and heard about the IQ store. Honestly didn’t know there was that much support for this watch. I’ve played around with a few watch faces here and there and I’ve added a few widgets as well. Easy to use and hasn’t been buggy or anything of that nature.

Useless App. My Instinct Solar does not show up when I go to My Devices. It shows that I don’t have any device connected. When I click to manage devices all I get is a link to Garmin support even though I can use the Garmin Connect app with it just fine. Tried removing the watch from Bluetooth connection and just get more of the same. I see other reviews for the same problem from over a year ago and Garmin still can’t seem to figure this out. As others have pointed out….why isn’t all of this in the Garmin Connect app so we can manage it all from the same place?

Exactly what I was looking for!. The watch faces are really cool, but the functionality is really what impressed me with this watch. I love when the app plans my routes for me. All I have to do is put in the desired distance and it will find a route close to the desired distance, allowing for a less monotonous running experience from day to day.

Endlessly Frustrating. First off, let’s be clear, this isn’t an app but rather a digital torture device. You’d think an app from a multi-billion dollar company would be at least marginally better than one built by Jerry and Cleetus in the shed behind their mom’s house, but you’d be wrong. The first problem is the constant trouble syncing. Over and over you’ll get the little red circle with an exclamation point, and despite doing everything from hitting retry to reinstalling the app it’ll keep happening. Now whether it’s actually struggling to sync or just claiming to be struggling to sync I can’t say. Even when I receive the error icon I can still send data back to my phone, so who knows, maybe it’s syncing maybe it’s not. Secondly, the IQ App Store will not display apps it doesn’t believe are compatible with your device, even if they claim to be, and if you round about find the apps you want by using your browser it won’t let you download them. In my case I have an Edge Explore unit which should be compatible with the Bontrager light control app according to the compatible device listing on the app data page, but the IQ App Store disagrees, and insists I add a compatible device to my account to download the app. This leads to my last gripe; good luck getting support. Garmin is more than happy to take your 200, 300, 500 dollars, but they’re sluggish in assisting you with getting it or this required app to work.

Venu 2 Plus will not connect. My new Venu 2 Plus has a “Not Connected” status whenever I try to manage my device within the IQ app. I’ve triple checked that Bluetooth permissions are granted for this app, and I haven’t had any issue linking my watch to the regular Garmin Connect App— just IQ. After a google search, it seems other new Venu 2 plus owners are having this same issue. Not a great first experience with Garmin even though I like the watch itself. I’ll re-review this app when the issue is fixed, but for now the app is basically unusable because I cannot properly customize and add features to my new watch.

Garmin apps are trash. Garmin watches are great, their apps are trash. The last update on this one has made everything sit in queue forever and never officially update to my watch. Also, 3rd party apps are having insane issues so good luck with that. Next, whatever firmware updates Garmin released do not help other developers. Pay-for watch faces might have better results, but not always. Heck, weather and sunrise/sunset data isn’t even working on ANY watch face I use including Garmin’s crappy watch faces. Garmin is really testing me lately on continuing to use their product or use another brand.

Don’t use. First off, what app have a second app just for watch faces and extras for the watch?!?! Tired to upload a hiking app several months ago and removed the app and uninstalled the hiking app from the app. After not being able to get the app to stop instillation, I had to wait for a complete upload and then remove because it was crashing my phone. Tonight, wanted to see if I could put a photo on the watch face and once again, the app failed, couldn’t stop instillation once stated then had to delete the app again. Frustrating is saying it nice when it comes to this app. It has so much potential, but not there yet. Most in app purchases have less the 3 stars per app. Garmin watch is amazing but don’t use the extras they try to sell yeah, it’s by a 3rd party.

Watch faces. It would be nice, if before I downloaded a specific watch face, it said that watch face cost money. I shouldn’t have to read through the description, of that watch face, to realize that it cost money. A feature putting the price next to the watch face would make this less annoying. It’s a watch face, not an app. It costing money seems a bit excessive in the first place. I spent enough on the watch, I’m not spending money for a watch face too.

No. Save yourself.. Just “NO”. I had to download software (Garmin Express) on my PC. Then download Garmin Connect App to track my stats. Only to still need another Gamin Connect IQ app to change features on the watch I paid $300 for. Ohh. You also want music? Make sure you have a compatible streaming service bc even though it connects to my iPhone it doesn’t load a playlist unless you have streaming services compatible with 90’s mini disc players. Save your money. Buy an Apple Watch.

Just stopped working. All of a sudden today, my Vivoactive 3 just went to the default watch face. I figured it shouldn’t be a problem, but I was wrong. Every time I even open the Connect IQ store app, it ruins my watch/phone sync capability. I have updated the app and reinstalled it. It still does not work. It won’t install my custom watch face back to the watch. To add insult to injury, every time I try something new (updating, reinstalling, re-sign in), I end up having to power down my phone and restart to get my watch to sync back to my phone. Pitiful.

Poor at everything it tries to do. This app has two primary functions and its poor at both of them. Function 1: Face It You're supposed to be able to design your own watch face and install it on your watch. But the design is more limited in its options than the design-it-yourself option that lives on the watch already. And even if you use this feature, when you attempt to install that watch face, the app just says "installing" for over 30 minutes. Retry, same thing. Restart app and retry, same thing. Function 2: Select apps and download them to your watch. a) The apps listed include those who want permission to send/receive to/from the Internet, access data from other apps, run in the background even when not being used, etc. This app shouldn't allow such invasive 3rd party apps. b) The filter for apps when you're searching is very limited. You can enter text to search for and sort by rating/popularity. But there's no option to filter in/out apps that charge money. This app doesn't list how much those apps charge. There's no option to filter in/out apps that require this/that permission. There's no option to sort/filter based on Developer. c) Even when you find an app to download, it's usually put into a download queue that can take hours to process instead of just downloading it immediately. The watch itself is GREAT but try to use it without this app.

Podcast feature is horrible. So first I have to install Connect, then I have to install Connect IQ. Then I have to load Playrun. Then I can’t even manage Playrun on the app, I have to go to Playrun website on a browser to manage my podcasts which won’t even show me which podcasts I’ve already listened to (I have to guess which ones and add and remove to my playlist based on my faulty memory.) Then the playlist doesn’t even automatically load. I have to spend needless time on my Watch trying to figure out how to sync the podcasts which when I finally figure out it then takes way too long to sync. Could you have any more needless steps?!?!?!?!

Must have app for runners. The Garmin app gives me a lot more information about my indoor workouts and outdoor running compared to Apple’s Fitness app. For example, Garmin gives you recovery time, time spent in each heart rate zone and your estimated sweat loss— along with everything that Apple’s Fitness app provides— like distance, time, splits, calories burned, etc. As a customer of Apple for a long time, I now prefer my Garmin watch over the Apple Watch. Although Apple is good for the casual exerciser, I think Garmin is geared for the serious athlete who prefers more data.

Excellent Data Collection Device. Pros: centralized view of all athletic data, interactive graphics As a former Apple Watch user, I am very much enjoying the Garmin Connect experience. Unlike other reviewers who struggled connecting the app to their iPhone, I was up and connected with minimal time/effort and love the centralized view of all my athletic data. This app provides everything I need to support my training efforts.

I expect way better from a multi billion dollar company.. The whole experience of the Connect IQ store feels like it was made by Larry, Moe, and Curly in their mom’s basement. Here’s the issues I have with Connect IQ. (For reference, I have a Fēnix 6 Standard Edition) 1. It is very unstable and buggy. a. There are many watch faces that I would prefer to use from Connect IQ, but they make navigating anywhere from the watch face very slow (even watch faces made by Garmin themselves.) Therefore I just resort to using the stock watch faces. b. Even widget glances downloaded from the store will add delays to the UI. 2. The face it tab in the store could also use some improvements… a. It should take advantage of the round watch screen to where you can angle the metrics and clock on top of being able to move them around. b. there needs to be like a grid to help with centering the metrics and clock. c. There needs to be better shading/contrast of the metrics and clock because they are hard to see against the picture you add. d. There needs to be more metrics instead of just steps and the date. 3. When downloading apps there isn’t even a progress bar to show how much the app has downloaded. In general, the overall quality of this app is trash and I expect way better for a $500 watch.

What is going on??. Got a new watch and decided to create a watch face for it. Updated the app and now, whenever I open it it is switching between two versions of the app and it is saving the designs I make on each version separately. It keeps changing between the versions randomly when I open and close the app. The first version has plenty of options to edit and design watch faces, very good but when I try to download my designs, my watch shows it is downloading the design before eventually stopping. The other version successfully downloads the designs I create but there are virtually no editing options and I cannot make a decent looking watch face. I don’t understand why this is happening and when the help section “loads”, it says there’s no information. There isn’t anyway to contact someone to find out what is happening either. Just want to know what is happening and how to fix it, thanks.

Used to work well, now agonizingly frustrating. I used to enjoy finding new watch faces, apps, widgets, and data fields using this app. But now it won’t stay connected for even five seconds before flashing a “Something went wrong” error message. Worse, when you click on the troubleshooting links, there’s no content. This app has become an absolute nightmare to use. You’re better off using the web app via Garmin Connect. It’s not nearly as pretty or functional, but hey...it actually works.

This is a fantastic app. This app is amazing to have. It is simple, easy to use, and super fun to have. I love being able to switch up my watch screen. It is also super cool that you can use a screen someone else has made but also able to customize your own. I would highly recommend this app.

It’s perfect for me.. I can’t find any other watches like this it’s really good when I play soccer every day even if you’re not very active it’s still good it tracks all kinds of things. On the app you can join groups and friend other people you can change your watch face to all kinds of things you can challenge other people too like a step challenge or any other challenge I highly suggest this app

Great way to track your fitness. I really enjoy using the Garmin Connect app to visualize changes in my sleep quality and my overall health. I get a real sense of accomplishment watching my weight and resting heart rate decrease while watching my vO2 increase. I also love the Apple Health integration so that I can see how my physical fitness impacts other areas of my health like cholesterol and triglyceride levels. If you’re looking to understand the relationship between your physical fitness and your underlying health, I would highly recommend using a Garmin smart watch with the Garmin Connect app.

Needs finer search results.. Only thing I would request is to filter out search results. Having a search option is nice obviously but filtering out incompatible apps/widgets/faces or only showing ones that work for whatever respective device you’re using would be nice. Other than that the App works great!

What is this?. This app is bad. It reminds me of some jailbroken iPhone App Store. There’s Chinese writing in some of the titles and the layout is all over the place. The watch face options are horrible and most aren’t free. I know this isn’t an Apple Watch but it is surely a competitor and this App Store does not compete. I hope a complete overhaul is done and things like paid watch faces are removed in favor of Garmin made, free watch faces (the watch is already expensive enough)

Not working. My husband bought me the Venu sq and I was excited to personalized the watch face. I go looking for some squared faces and there is none, the only ones I could find ask for payment options and redirect you to a website and it just seems sketchy. Not only that, the app says my watch is downloading 30 apps... I just dowloaded this app and it has 30 pending apps? It would make sense if could see what apps are these but nowhere to find that list. Okay, so let's wait and see the downloaded apps and if they don't work for me just delete them, nope, they are taking forever to download... I tried creating my own face watch but it is not working... I guess I should go back to apple watch cause it is taking forever to do one simple task...

Not working. My watch changed to a watch face I’ve never seen in my life, and won’t let me install the one watch face I have and like. It wouldn’t show me any miles for runs until I synced my watch, on my watch it would just show a ? In a diamond next to my run and during my run in the run app it would just start counting up crazy numbers instead of 1.2 miles. I managed to fix this problem at least in the question mark diamond thing but just syncing it to kilometers and back to miles but I want my watch face back and a normal running count. It won’t let me sync anything and I’m afraid to uninstall and try again

Please license watch faces or allow more health stats displays. There is certainly a range of watch faces to choose from. However, when I attempt to create my own watch face from an image on my phone, I am left with only choosing the time, step counter, and date. For such an advanced watch, I would hope the app would allow you to add more data to the watch face (and allow you to adjust the angle). With a circular watch face, I may want to angle my pedometer display vertically (or curved around the bottom of the display) rather than just a flat horizontal piece. I would love to see this developed more to make the user experience much more enjoyable/functional. I would also pay for licensed watch faces (Marvel/DC) if that were an option…

Works great!. Predictable and reliable with strava, training peaks and my specialized app! Don’t forget to hit sync button if your activity didn’t upload automatic! I just learned to do this manually everytime I finish my ride! Takes a couple of second with good data

Nice, helpful and is also free. I like having the Garmin IQ app because it’s so nice to change your watch face to another new one. You can change it to one of your photos and many other options etc… One thing I wish would change is that the photos are a little bit blurry depending if the photo your putting on you watch face is a bright picture or a dark one but it usually always comes out blurry on your watch face either way. It’s still convenient to have the option of putting a picture though. Garmin IQ can also do many other things that are helpful but I don’t use it much more than for changing watch faces but there’s many other ways to use it I’m sure.

It was great, but it is getting buggy lately. I used this app for 18 months with no issues, but lately, it has been crashing at least once per week. In order to get it working again I have to delete and reinstall. Features within the app have become problematic as well: The “add data” feature on “my Day” often won’t open the function that I want to update. So I may click on hydration or blood pressure and it will simply return to the home page with no options for updates. I get around this by scrolling to the bottom and selecting “edit my day” then canceling the page. Then I can add new data. While on the subject of “edit my day” I have turned off both “yesterday’s statistics” and “last seven days statistics” but the app stubbornly continues to show “last seven days”. Overall, a product that I once would have given a 5 is now at best a 3. I find another app with similar features that works with my watch, I would strongly consider using that instead of the garmin app. My watch is a Venu SQ I am using an IPhone XS and running the latest update of IOS 16.

latest update forgot everything. Accidentally updated this iQ app. On re-launching, I was asked sign back in, accept new EULA, confirm my location... all very bad signs. Once through all that, the app can’t find my device and just sends me off to help documentation for setting up a new device... edit, apparently I have two Garmin accounts, one of which is my active account and one which I had (re)signed in with. Finding where to sign out and sign back in within the iQ app is nearly impossible so if this is you, here it is: main iQ Store screen, scroll scroll scroll through the bjillion apps all the way to the bottom, tap “About the Connect iQ store”, scroll down and there you’ll find Sign Out...)

Connect IQ. This app works very well with my Garmin watch and it keeps track of everything and at a touch I’m able to access everything I need for my watch! If you have a Garmin watch then this app is a must have!!

Great Interfaces. I concur with the other review that it takes sometime to get use to working with the different applications and data fields but the resources are so rich and deep. I have had the Fenix 6 Pro Solar for a week so far and I am now hitting my stride with customizations. Great product and support resources.

There is a slight learning curve. It works great.. Love all the options to choose from. And it’s not hard to find what your after. Garmin gps systems are user friendly even in a watch. I use mine all the time, routes for hunting stands, love the topo maps as well. Also the fitness features are great helps keep you more aware of your over all health and activities so easy to track how your body’s is doing as well as your ability to get a good nights sleep to keeping an eye on your heart rate. It’s all on my wrist!. Has everything you need in a app for Garmin GPS.

Does not discover device. I have repeatedly tried to use this app. I have reset both the phone and the watch. I have uninstalled the app multiple times. It will not discover my approach s42. Other Garmin apps recognize my watch. It’s just IQ that I’m having the issue with. I would like to give a better review but it’s nothing more than looking through a store front window at everything I can’t have if it doesn’t recognize my watch.

Can’t get it to sync with any garmin device. I’m running the app on an iPhone 13, have previously been able (on older iPhone models) to get the device to sync with my garmin, but it shows no device paired, and when I try to add a device I get a screen that says “Server Connection Error” and that it’s having problems talking to the garmin content server…this has been going on for many months without a change. Deleting and reinstalling the app does nothing, getting a new watch and setting it up in Garmin Connect does nothing…I’m at a bit of a loss. Short of getting a new phone I’m not sure how to access Garmin IQ to download new fields, apps or watch faces…

Something’s wrong lately. Lately, each time I try to connect to this app, for instance to change settings on my watch face, it throws my fenix 3 into rebooting mode, and I am getting a message “ network connection error” on the Connect IQ, followed by “ We had problems loading settings to this device, try again”. every freaking time irregardless of the Wi-Fi network I am on, so I know it’s not my Wi-Fi net work it’s day, her net work, and how they connect with Garmin devices. Very annoying and unfortunately making all my loaded contacts useless since I cannot change settings.

I’ve Found What’s Best For Me. The Search is over, I’ve tried all the other brand fitness/sports watches. Some are just plain overrated in my opinion. The main thing I look for in a fitness watch is the ability to hold a long charge. Garmin, by far is what’s best for me. Tracking, watch faces, navigation, music… I can go on and on. Man… what I’m trying to say is, I am in love with my Garmin!

The app. The app is ok but App Store doesn’t have Garmin connect and it said to use Garmin connect to update it and get more watch faces

Install queued. What does install queued mean?? What do I do about it

Bluetooth keeps dropping out in this update. I normally find the Bluetooth connection fantastic and get my notifications without a problem but since this update I have had issues almost every hour!

Have to agree with previous reviews. Everything works great but it’s a bit clumsy to need two apps! Streamline the process please!

Cannot no longer get this to pair with watch. I have tried uninstalling, unpairing, reinstalling, re- pairing but still no connection to either Fenix 5s or Fenix 6.

My review. It is a really great app I have it four stars because at first it is a bit confusing but after a day or two you’d get used to how it works and everything . Great app highly recommend it for other users.

Cant load watch faces. Attention needs to be given to the watch face loader or stop bothering including the feature. 1 hour down, installs “queued”, lost one face and a lot of “oops, something well wrong”.

Really good. This app is really good for certain gamins most of the apps,widgets and watch faces are good for all of them and it has a lot of community made stuff and it’s all good!

Awesome but one thing. I really like the idea of this app and it works really well but is it just me or is the digital time really small. anyway if you could be able to enlarge or shrink the time then that would be awesome. Another thing is that for some reason I can only change the colour of the minutes not the hours. This could be a really great app with a few fixes.

Great app. I have been using the app for 2 weeks and so far it is very good, quick synchronising with watch, responsive with updates and a good range of watch faces to choose from.

No Filters for your Watch. Pretty good app but I think it would be great if you could filter Watch faces and anything else to suit the Watch/s you have. It would save looking through hundreds to find only some work on your Watch. Same goes for workouts. This should be an option.

Just one thing we need. This app is good and all but I like to customise it to my ability but when we try we can only use the made templates with a pic of our choice

App crashes. Please look into why the app is crashing when you go to save settings in a watch face.

App idea!. Would love a habit/ goal setting app. Would help to be able to set a goal and be able to tick off when I’ve achieved it and see a calendar of how many consecutive days I have met my goal. I.e took vitamins, cut back on sweets, drank water etc. customisable goals with a reminder alert and a tick box once achieved 😊

Great app. Does everything you would expect. Easy to search for apps and intuitive. The only thing I would suggest so far is a search bar in the compatible device list as my watch is always down near the bottom and can take a bit to find. Otherwise it’s great.

Unable to use watch faces from app. Tried multiple times to upload new watch faces to my 6s sapphire. Gave up and use the desktop express application which worked fine.

Primitive interface. In this day and age I didn’t expect to see such primitive way of configuring your watch faces, come on Garmin pick up your game and make the expirence more interactive.

Terrible. This app is super clunky, error prone and not well designed. Hard to update my Garmin watch and often has errors after updating.

App doesn’t work. Cannot seem to connect my new Fenix 5splus to the IQ app. Can’t find my device despite multiple resets/ uninstalling the app??

Bluetooth. This app was working fine. A month ago it no longer had a Bluetooth connection displayed yet the Garmin Connect app worked as advertised. I have deleted and loaded IQ and still has the same fault. It is now very frustrating as I wish to personalise my Forerunner 735XT but can’t.

Terrible app. Although there is a large range of faces and widgets, the app is extremely slow and clunky, and to download more than one thing at a time gives the message “something went wrong” over and over. Slow download speed for pretty small files, which wouldn’t be a problem if it would download the first time. You’d think one of the biggest watch companies would have a better app. Also why is this not part of the connect app?

Terrible. Having issues with the app for 2 months now . Unresponsive to install apps , can’t even uninstall ones I’ve previously installed ! Garmins customer support is atrocious !

Bad UX. UX is horrendous, almost impossible to download faces or apps and can sometimes take days.

It’s okay. I used to be able to easily change the background of my watch with easy. But recently, whenever I try to install a background, it says ‘device connection error’. This then prevents me from using any different background from this app. If I am doing something wrong, please let me know as I would like to use this app to its full potential.

Watch faces won’t work. Unfortunately I am unable to update my watch face for my Fenix 5X. I have an error sign instead of the new watch face following syncing with the connect app. Uninstalling the watch faces and rebooting the watch does not work either.

Great App!. So I only recently found this app, had been using the computer still. Anyway my experience has bee great. I’ve looked around download a couple of things and has been working with no issues! Very pleased so far!

Where did the one stop add hydration button go?. I’m pretty sure that there used to be an add button at the bottom of my day to add water - and some others but I didn’t use them as often. Now it says Add Data with another step to press to add the water. The previous versions were easier

Garmin is lost. Latest update still garbage. What has happened to the icon for connect iq. It is not displaying on my iPad. Just the button with framework. What’s happening update still not fixed

Trouble Connecting. I’ve got a brand new Approach S62, try connecting it to the ConnectIQ app and it won’t even register. Nothing wrong with Garmin golf app or Garmin connect, they both work fine. Just the ConnectIQ app isn’t working. Please fix this ASAP

How come this is happening?. Error message pop up every single time when uninstalling the app. Watch face can not be open after installed onto my Penix 6 x pro.

Doesn’t Work. No matter what I do, the app will not detect my watch, despite the regular Garmin Connect app working as normal. Why is this even a seperate app?? Why not just integrate it into the main app. Poorly thought out. Poorly implemented.

Settings issues. App was good until the settings page became blank. I can no longer change the settings on my downloaded apps, data fields or watch faces

Buggy and unreliable. There’s always something wrong! It always crash no matter what you do. Poorly written software for a highly expensive watch.

Can't download anything. Been using my Venu since the release last year and only today using this IQ app. I only wanted this app in order to change watch faces. It automatically tries to download deezer (never used before) and the menstrual cycle app. The downloads get stuck and I'm unable to download anything else. Tried cancelling them, removed and reinstalled the app, won't let me cancel them and it's preventing me from doing anything else.

Subtle Prompts Keep Me Going. Lots of great little features. Optional face add-ons are great. Make sure you pay homage to those independent developers. Some apps (Wallet, Safety) do not work outside US.

Trash. The Garmin apps for the watch are by far one of the worst and most glitchy and unreliable apps I’ve ever used simple. Don’t waste your time if there’s an aftermarket app use it!!!!!! Believe me you’ll thank me later.

iPad version plz. Any chance you folks can make apps that work with an iPad Pro in a standard landscape mode (which is normal with the keyboard)? Since I now work online, my iPad has replaced my computer and phone. It’s a bit lame to have to turn it sideways and pretend it’s a quarter of its actual size when using Garmin apps. Thanks.

Unable to adjust watch face settings without wifi/network.. If I’m connected to the watch via Bluetooth, why does the app need to be online in order to adjust watch face settings that are installed on my watch? Im out of service a lot and most of my watch faces can’t be adjusted on the watch. Very inconvenient and unnecessary. Please fix.

Garbage app. I swear this app just never works. Always crashes. Spinning wheels of doom. Updates never really seem to fix anything. I love my Fenix 5 but think I’ll switch sine the app is so bad.

stopped working and removed my purchases. woke up on October 27 2021 to find all of my watch content removed. There appears to be no record of my purchases either. Also, some content no longer uploads. Otherwise a fine app :(

Constantly loads and glitches can’t do a thing. This is embarrassing for a company like Garmin. Can’t access any menus items or watch faces because it constantly has spinning loading symbols. When it finally stops I click on an area and it says I can’t do anything while loading, then it spins indefinitely again. This app is trash

custom watch face. The custom watch face design could use some work. It needs more options for fonts and colors. All of the options aren’t very customizable and are kinda ugly. Also, you can’t change the size of the time which sucks.

Can't find my watch. I have the Garmin Vivomove HR and this app doesn't seem to recognize it. No matter what I do it doesn't show my device

Very Informative!!!. I recently bought a Fenix 6 Sapphire and I love it!!! I’m not very knowledgeable on health and fitness but Garmin goes the extra distance to explain the best way for me to meet my goals! It makes working out exciting!!!

No Apple Music?. I was surprised to see that there's an app to load the bible onto your watch (I guess as an audiobook?), which seemed like a pretty obscure app compared to Apple Music which must have more users or at the very least, a more diverse group of users. As I don't use Spotify, (or Amazon music, which I didn't even realize was a service) I was pretty bummed to see that Apple Music wasn't available. Please integrate with Garmin so I can use this feature on my watch for running, etc.

Why does the ‘My Device’ tab only work sometimes?. When I go to the ‘My Device’ tab, usually I get an error saying ‘Something wen wrong. Please try again’. I tried reinstalling the app, restarting my phone and watch. It just refuses to load. When you uninstall a face from the app, you can still see it in the watch even after syncing the watch through the app.

Incredibly Dated. Aside from looking like an app made for an iphone 3G, it has zero navigation and zero filtering. Meaning it shows you everything useless you can't even install, what's the point

Works Great!. Having the ability to change settings to my watch from the App is a God send! I wish used this app waaaay sooner. I currently use it to change the watch face settings on my epix 2.

Difficult. This app seems most difficult to use. Need more specific instructions. When for hours I tried to understand what I was to do I found the appreciation ok, but it took longer than I expected.

Motocross. We love this app / Garmin …. We not only use it for the obvious but it will also tell us our speed on a map of the tracks so we can figured out where we can improve

Fenix 5X. I have had a Fenix 5X for several years and this app has worked seamlessly great the entire time! I love it and would not consider anything else

Surprised !. I was surprised at how quick and easy it was to download the connect app and connect my watch. Was up and running quickly with very little confusion. I am very pleased so far.

Upgrade From A Different Tracker. Love it! Bought it as an upgrade to another tracker and find it so much more informative of what’s going on and I’ve barely scratched the surface of what it can do.

Clear way to search for all apps available for my Garmin Watch!. Clear and love the explanations. The layout is much like the App Store on Apple and has clear explanations of each app and if it’s compatible with my watch. Keep up the great work!

Missing Feature. Before the last update, we were able to remove unwanted watch faces, widgets, and apps from my “Not Installed” list. Where is that feature? I spent an hour looking for a way to remove watch faces from my “Not Installed” list. I am a Garmin girl through and through, but little things like this are REALLY frustrating. This was a five star app when this feature was available. Please, please, please restore it.

Useful but!. The app gives you access to all applications, games, watch faces etc. It can be a little bit glitchy sometimes connecting, but then not! It would also be nice to have access to the manual in this app, Overall a good and useful app.

App Crash, recent. Same as a few other people, recently tried to open the app to sync my watch and after confirming my log in account it has me agree to the EULA but then cycles back to the welcome screen to log in again. Very frustrating and needs to be fixed asap! I will remove this negative review upon fixing glitch.

Love my Garmin. I love I can see my routes, HR, pace. I can see each mile and where I struggled during difficult parts. I can also see how well my friends are doing. ❤️. People recognize my Garmin.

Good apps not amazing lay out. The app it self is good and the connectivity with the Garmin connect app is very well done but the suggestions for watch faces are not incredible I don’t know why they have a separate tab for creating you own photo watch face but over all really good app

Great App!. Coaching piece keeps me accountable to a structured training program. I love how I can check my sleep every morning. Overall it’s a great way to keep track of your health at a glance during the day.

Won’t sync. My venu sq will not sync this the 2nd time. First thing in the am. I’m on iPhone 14 pro max just updated to iOS 17 so not sure of it’s a bug or something. I think I had to reboot the watch the first time. Edit: of course it tried to tell me no internet connection and then it did sync 🙄

Won’t connect. Waste of time. Makes me regret buying a new Garmin watch. You’ll see the watch for sale on marketplace shortly. Won’t even connect to my watch. Researching the issues and I’m told to delete all Garmin apps and forget my watch from my phone Bluetooth and start all over. No thanks. I’ll just stop buying Garmin. Seems they can make watches to connect to satellites all over the world but fail at creating apps that work.

No control over notifications. I love this app and recently switched to an iPhone and miss being able to control which apps can send notifications to my device. All the notifications on my wrist are super annoying.

Typical lack of quality. All garmin apps are incapable of reliably connecting to my iphones. spend hours reinstalling apps to get them to talk to garmin devices. then have to repeat the process on each app update. this app i tried multiple times to connect. there is not help, no error messages, just a “no device” message even though IOS and my Edge850 both say they are connected to each other. Garmin Software = Garbage Software.

Great app but body battery doesn’t update well.. The body battery feature only updates on the app sometimes. I have to refresh multiple times and close out the app. Sometimes that still doesn’t work. I don’t know why it refreshes sometimes and not others.

Rip. Just switch from the apple to the garmin and it’s has been fabulous , I don’t have to charge my garmin watch for days and the data info is wonderful as well. You can’t make calls or talk directly to the vioactive but I don’t need all that.... very happy with my choice!!!!!!!

Can’t make watch faces. I’m trying to make a watch face from my own picture as the 3rd party faces are draining my battery. I make the face exactly how I want it but when I install it to my watch either the day or minutes are a different color. I choose them to have no color and they show no color until install the face. Very frustrating. I’m now stuck with the ugly preloaded faces. This may seem like a small thing to some, but it’s important to me.

New user. I never really knew how much I walked out ride my bike until my husband got me this for Christmas. I just like knowing the distance I walk or bike even though it's not that that far. I like knowing my heart rate and stress levels. I can't wait to learn how to use it more.

Keeps restarting, Useless app. I was already not a fan of this app because of how long it took to install anything new, but then it got worse. I’m in the middle of installing a new watch face and suddenly the app restarts - back to the intro screen, shows the EULA and the age question etc. I did all that, and within minutes the same thing happened again. After the 3rd time I gave up.

“Something went wrong, try again.”. Finding it impossible to choose a different one of the 2 watch faces downloaded and impossible to uninstall. Just keeps saying “Something went wrong, try again.”

Love the improvements. Great app. I was an Apple Watch user for several years. I switched to Garmin because I became tired of a square watch. This app allows me to change watch faces with ease.

Awsome. I have been using Garmin products for years now. But never a watch. 2 months ago I ditched my apple watch and bought a Vivoactive3. I absolutely love it. The IQ connect app is easy to use and displays everything Im looking for. Way better then anything else I have personally used.

Handy but buggy. Being able to update a watch face with this is a nice feature. However when searching and scrolling results it automatically brings me back to the top of the feed every time it needs to load more results. It’s so annoying that I’d rather just not use the app at this point

Frustrating. It all started when couldn’t get my Venu SQ to connect to Bluetooth. I deleted everything and reinstalled. Now, I’m back on and I had a watch face I really liked. Well, I am trying to find it but I have to search through ALL the round watch faces as well as the square watch faces. Why can’t I filter for just the square? What a waste of time!!!

Great app but needs update. Everything was working fine with the app but then I updated my IOS and now it won’t recognize that I have a device. I uninstalled the app, forgot the device, and restarted the phone. No cigar. Garmin Connect works just fine. Please update!

Fail! no service for 1 wk and counting. Fail! no service for 1 wk and counting And if connect doesn’t work, then connect IQ doesn’t work either. And then there is zero ability to restore your device, remove content, add content, use the device. Complete utter FAIL. And Garmin communication is also a FAIL. There is none. Just a useless error message saying first that service will be out 12 hours. Then 36 hours. Then 84 hours. and now no timetable. Complete FAIL.

Watch face issues. There needs to be free watch face and paid watch face sections that are separate. I’m sick of finding something nice only to realize that it’s a paid watch face after the fact. You also don’t pay through the Garmin app. You have to go to a separate website that the creator puts in the description. For a company that experienced a massive hacker issue in 2020 you’d think they’d be weary of forcing their customers to go to unknown websites to pay people.

Can’t connect. I just got this watch today and I can’t even connect to the store and the app gives you 0 guidance on how to connect to my Instinct. I can connect to the Connect app no problem, but even the Connect app doesn’t have the IQ store in the more tab like the Garmin website says it should. I just want to put a custom face on. It shouldn’t be this difficult for something so simple.

Useless. Received a Garmin smart watch as a gift, immediately connected to Garmin Connect and as instructed by the gift giver, I started looking for more apps. Found this & have now spent 2 weeks trying to connect my watch, to no avail. Garmin website doesn’t explain, and neither does the app. If some one would reach out to explain, I’d be happy to change my review. For now…don’t bother to download.

Helped me start running again. I found Garmin Coach really helpful. I’m 10 weeks through a 21 week 5k Garmin coaching program and having the workouts right on my watch makes it easy.
