Not worth it. This app is completely disgusting. it does not show or help in anyway. If I could I would give this app zero stars out of five stars.

Fails to translate. Used on many words in a text and could not find anything

Never got it to work even once. We downloaded this app while we were visiting the Czech Republic. We tried several times, holding it steady selecting small signs and large, and never got it to work even once. What a waste of a download.

Ridiculous. I’m not paying money to get more whatever this is really ridiculous....

Forced Primium. Did 2 text translations, then 1 object translation. After that, every time I try to use the camera for translation it goes to the Premium screen, forcing the user to upgrade, with no visible way to say “no thanks”, thus the user cannot use your “free” app. If I’m missing the opt out somehow, please inform me how to do this, otherwise Shame on You - You can’t get much lower than this - your app should be banned.

Bad. Bad, if I want to pay I would’ve buy the full version, why do I need to pay for the free version. After 3 bad translations with limited boarder that cuts off all sides, I can not continue until I buy. There is no limited functionality, you cannot continue to use until you pay. I’ve read other reviews and saw people with same problem. Waste of hard drive and time. There are better product out there.

Zero Work. I downloaded this app and excited to capture an Arabic document just a page to translate text content to English but no luck. The image stuck on the screen and you have to swipe it away to close the app and relaunched! Not nice. So as I am interested I tried another way how about saving the image first and upload in this app? So I did but the same nothing happens. A kind of annoying app that wastes your time. It forces you to upgrade but developers failed to realize that an upgrade from users can only happen if he/she is satisfied with the app works.

Upgrade catastrophe. It won’t let me do it more than 5 times a day or else I have to pay for it to be upgraded.

Trash. I can’t use it now. You have to pay to use the app after a certain period of time. I hate apps that waste my time. This is one of those apps. Don’t waste yours either

Won’t read Chinese. Tried multiple times with apple to read some Chinese script and it could not find it. Tried enough times the app wouldn’t let me try anymore without purchasing an account. Google translate worked much better.

Good. Made my day easy

Add Urdu Language. I downloaded it because I needed Urdu translation. Why? I have a special need daughter who understands Urdu better. I need Urdu added so she can communicate better. And others can speak in english or Spanish and she could translate it in Urdu if she needs help. Please add Urdu. شکریہ

Free is so full of ads you can’t operate. Ads pop-up so often, it becomes useless. Because of that, I refuse to upgrade. When an ad pops up every time you try to take a picture, that’s excessive and it does render the free version useless. Why bother to offer it? Other “free” apps off limited capabilities, not the inability to use any capability. For that reason, I refuse to pay to get the full app. I’ll look elsewhere.

You can’t cancel subscription!. When you first log in and try the three day free trial, they say you can cancel it in the settings. You can’t. I emailed support and am waiting for a reply. That is total BS. Don’t use this unless you want to be lied to.

One star rating is too generous. Do not subscribe to try the “3 day” free trial. It must be cancelled 24 hours before the beginning of the 4th day, which is, in fact, only 2 days. Instructions to cancel are intentionally vague. One star rating is too generous.

Will not work. It worked one time and I bought the premium version and now will not translate anything and on the off chance it recognizes the language it makes no sense. Buyer beware!!

Cinematographer225. First time using this app and I’m plan to learn from it and later learn to speak Spanish and maybe not perfect but at lease I can know exactly what to say or translate from Spanish to English to understand It well enough to communicate. Thanks so much for the app

Am i Dumb or what. Okay im so lost every-time i open the app i try to take a picture to translate but it keeps opening up this ad that says “download premium?!” Just let me read

Do not recommend. This app is good only if you want to spend money, after a few times using it, it won’t let me continue using it free with ads. It will just continuously tell you to buy the subscription.

Didn’t translate. Took the foto and it showed the text but no options to translate it at all do I have to pay and if so why not show the price to begin with??

Do not buy. What ever the developers reply it’s damage control It forces you to buy a free trial. And it’s not a add if you’re the one that owned it

Bad At Some Languages. This app works okay for common languages (Spanish, French, etc.) but is absolutely horrible for other languages. This includes Russian Dutch and Korean.

Not working. I tried using the free trial but I can’t tell if I got it or not. It stops me from using the app to tell me to sign up so when I “start” the trial the same thing happens. I’m going on a trip and won’t be able to cancel it because I won’t have internet and I only wanted to use it once when it actually doesn’t work. It didn’t even recognize text on a button.

Total BS!!!. Does not work, but you know what works, their advertising and getting you to pay monthly some fees you don’t even have a clue of! Don’t download this app unless you want to be charged for some spam.

Helpful with homework. I love this app it helps me do my Spanish homework well and fast. Great app👍

Not for me.. I use the trial version and I’m not going to purchase it. I tried both text and picture. Translating text completely failed. It is trying to translate word by word not translate to make a sentence correctly but very ridiculous. On top of that when it can’t translate a word ,uses the same word as in original text. Translating the picture is working during my test so far except some issues. If you take pictures of of frame with a picture in it, it translate the frame and not the picture in the frame. Anyway paying a monthly or yearly fee not worth it for me.

Lies. Doesn’t work with text going up and down. And the instructions to cancel subscriptions are wrong. 4 hours later and I still haven’t figured out a way to cancel it. Guess they will just give me an auto mated response to visit their support page, which says the same thing. There is no settings to cancel subscriptions in ITunes for apps, and in the actual settings for iTunes and App Store there are only options for auto downloading things. I suggest not getting this app. Finally figured it out. For those of you who need to cancel the subscription, then you should have gotten an email, from there you can click on “review your subscription.” It takes you to the normal APP STORE app. Yeah, give out false info and make you go through hoops just to get people’s money. Good job.

Object recognition good; text recognition ok. Firstly, this app is pretty cool and exciting. It’s amazing that someone created such a useful app, and that such technology is becoming available to us. The critical part of this review is this- I tested this app out and found the object recognition to be pretty reliable. The text recognition was less reliable as it couldn’t always read my writing even though I printed it out clearly. Sometimes it was difficult getting the app to read text that surely seemed to be “in the window” but the app “didn’t seem to think so”. Anyway, overall, I think the app is pretty cool and can see it being useful in a pinch, even with these issues.

Doesn’t work for Arabic. I’ve only tried translating with Arabic. Even with the English writing next to it and knowing the real meaning, the app translated something else.

Free trial. If you do not want to pay for a subscription I would recommend against this entirely you have only twenty four hours to end your free trial and they make it as hard as possible to end it.

Unhelpful and I can’t unsubscribe. I’ve been using it a little bit and it doesn’t ever seem to translate the things I need. I got tricked into the free trial and now can’t unsubscribe. Note to developer: please help me unsubscribe.

Horrible. Used app for just 2 two days and can’t cancel a trial and a subscription I don’t want or asked for. App is a premium app only worth if you have a subscription that is reasonable but a waste of money since there is better resources like google translate that’s free or quite a few others.

Not worth the money. I hate how you can only translate a few pictures before you need to pay for it. I don’t mind the ads but really? I’m 14 and my parents won’t let me pay to get unlimited access to picture translating so this is basically useless after a little while.

I had to subscribe to try. This app did not help me translate a health food supplement label. Now I can’t unsubscribe, and I can’t contact support until I “set up my email”, which I can’t seem to do thru the app either!

Mistranslation. I tried translating an extra that came in an album I ordered, when I tried this app, the Chinese translation was incorrect and didn’t make sense. I hope you can try to fix my problem.

Bad. It always says it in English when I want it In Hebrew

I Don’t Need Premium. I keep trying to take a picture but then all of a sudden there’s this premium content screen please remove it please just please remove that bug I’m not sure if it’s a bug or you’re just trying to troll me

Useless, don't bother. Not worth the money. Only works with black printed text on white background. Anything else results in Text Not Found. Totally useless in real life, there are much better apps in the store.

Charged after Cancelling. Emailed the company and asked them to cancel my subscription yet I was still charged the monthly fee.

Doesn’t work well. Why do I have to pick the language I want to translate? I obviously don’t know what it is. I have a smartphone. If I knew what the language was I would just go into google and type it in google translate. I needed an app to translate by picture because I don’t know what the language is and so I can’t put it in google translate, and nor can I use this app, since I must pick the language first.

“Free” trial. Not really a free trial if you charge to start a subscription that starts in the future and there’s no way in the app to cancel and delete. Tried it on one Chinese sign, did not find text. Did get a response “The application does not initiate a payment unless you subscribe for Premium. If you had a free trial and haven’t canceled it, the account should have been charged only after the end of the trial period and then automatically according to the duration of your subscription plan. You can always cancel it through your device Settings - iTunes & App Store - Apple ID - View Apple ID - Subscriptions - Manage. Otherwise please contact Apple support directly.". This bull crap must cancel is ridiculous.

I travel all over the world. I travel all over the world… I am constantly looking for a translator app that fits best to countries and situations I’m in. Not every app does - not a big deal - I don’t expect that. I work with what is best for the situation I am in. I also alway test the app out before travel so there will be no surprises and delays when I am in country. I downloaded the free trial and within 10 minutes I am now deleting it and canceling my trial. I tried various languages from Hebrew to English, Russian to English, Spanish to English, French to Hebrew, etc. it did not pick up any text. Not. One. Text. I attempted it in various lighting situations and with both flat surfaces and curved (such as a bottle) - no text was found in any of my trials. This is the first time with the various apps I’ve tried regarding translation that has been such a failure right out of the box… As I said, it’s disappointing because the idea is amazing… But, I cannot recommend this app.

Doesn’t even work. I go to translate Spanish and it translates words wrong or it doesn’t even translate them. Sometimes when it highlights words it recognizes it completely ignores the word.

Can’t take a picture. Every time that I try to take a picture of the text I’m trying to translate an advertisement pops up asking me if I want to upgrade to premium. I need to translate the text for a school project, but I am unable to because of the add. If you are reading this and you are considering buying it, don’t the app is frustrating and a complete waist of time.

Doesn’t work. Can’t get it to work, while trailing to many ads. Can’t get a few try’s in to see if it really does work very frustrating. I would buy the full version if I could trail for say a day with out being locked out every minute. Will look elsewhere.

Not the best for Chinese to English. Downloaded and gave this app a try. Snapped a few characters of Chinese, half the translation was wrong.

Delete snap and chat. I tried snap and chat once then next thing you know I was being charged for it. I deleted the app right away on my phone but little did I knew it was still in there I have no idea how to get out of it it was supposed to be free to my knowledge 😡😡

Trying to cancel will give you a headache. Download the free trial which automatically renews and bills your credit card three days after the trial ends… But you must cancel within 24 hours of the third day or you’ll still be charged....so you really don’t get three free days......Now comes the fun part. It would be simple if with in the app there was a button you could push to cancel but oh no you need to have a understanding of where your subscription sits deep within the iTunes library buried away like king Tutts fortunes . God forbid they would make it easy to cancel. Be prepared to waste at least 30 minutes trying to figure it out, I’m certain some people get frustrated and forget about it and they end up being charged. Now the actual app… I tried it numerous times on one article but it could not translate based on the spacing of the article. I gave up trying and that’s when trying to cancel cost me 30 minutes of mental anguish. Run when you see this app!!

Great idea but isn’t working enough. This is a great tool and works for normal prints. When I try to use it on boxes of items in a grocery store it doesn’t work. I don’t know if it’s the graphic fonts, the colours or glare from glossy surfaces. It would be better if the OCR could figure that out.
