Updated version. This app was great till they messed with great success in the other versions. Trying to reinvent the wheel is not a good thing! Now the screen is narrowed and we have to deal with a “portrait” mode which is useless. Elsevier probably bought this company and will run it into the ground. I should know because I used Elsevier books while in nursing school and I can tell you they were the absolute worst books along with their HESI tests, the latter of which clearly do not represent the real world of nursing.

Amazing Teaching Tool. As a yoga teacher, I use this tool all the time to show my clients, the muscle groups I am talking about… There is always a moment of recognition from the student when they realize and deeply understand what you are trying to accomplish in an Asana. Thank you for creating a miracle of an app to help people worldwide.

What happened?. Update: It’s working again, but I had to figure out how to fix it rather than being contacted by customer service after asking for help and leaving a 1-star review to get attention. Great app. Wish I hadn’t been without it for weeks when the update broke it. It was working well, then I was upgraded to the ‘19 version, and I don’t have access to any navigation buttons or the ability to look at soft tissues. Help! 5 star before. 1 Star now.

So very good but also very annoying. I’ve looked far and wide for an excellent app to study brain anatomy. Primarily I want to learn the spatial relationships between the different structures of the brain. This app is what I’ve been looking for and, bonus, it includes the rest of the body. The thing that is most annoying, and I hope it gets fixed soon, is that the view resets itself often. By the view, I mean you can focus on particular parts and hide others. For me, I want the brain, and only the brain showing. And I’ll hide parts of the brain to ease my studies. It takes careful work to get to this point. I have to choose to show the nervous system, and hide other body systems. Depending on the complexity of the view you want, it can take 5-10 minutes or more to set it up. What I’d love at this point is to be able to save the view. And then come back to it. Instead, even with background app refresh on, if you switch to another app, let your screen turn off, etc., the app will reset the view to the default view, which is the skeletal system. So close to being so good, yet so far.

Love it, but needs to be fixed. Ever since the latest update, there is no UI or any tools or anything that pops up. All there is is a skeleton with a blank screen. I am unable to add systems or choose whether I want to look at the left arm or the abdomen. Besides this, I love the app and would recommend it to any who works in medical or who is just is interested.

Definitely recommend.. This has been very helpful in studying for my anatomy practicums! Especially since we had limited access to the skeletal models beyond lab, it really helped to be able to rotate and examine individual bones in this app. The quizzes were alright, sometimes they wouldn’t load all of the way. This was the best anatomy app I found and it’s been an invaluable study aid.

GET THIS APP. If you’re a student in A&P you have to get this app. I am only halfway through my first quarter of A&P and I absolutely need this app to get an A in the class. It is making my life so much easier and teaching me more than the models in lab can. Such a good investment to make. Really not that expensive at all for everything you’re getting

Incredible precision!. The detail is so exact, and anytime I am looking for an answer, I open this app. There hasn't been a time when I wasn't able to get the best information. Unfortunately, I recently purchased it on my iPad, but the app will not load. It displays the loading screen, and I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, with no prevail. Overall, I would recommend this to anybody!

Great app but still needs more. I really enjoy this app and find great utility with it in teaching not only the residents and students I work with but also showing the images to patients. I use it across platforms (iPhone, iPad and windows 10). This really helps the patients understand better their own anatomy. I use this app extensively in teaching residents and students especially prior to performing injections. Unfortunately, it has come to my attention recently that both the dorsal scapular nerve and cluneal nerves are missing from this app which is very unfortunate. One other feature I really wished this program allowed would be to lay the 3D model in a prone position, this would allow the user to see and approach the anatomy structures from the lateral aspect. It has been my experience that using this app in a clinic teaching setting significantly helps the residents to develop a better image in their mind and helps them more when they are using ultrasound, understanding treatment options and performing injections. I gave only a four star review due to the missing anatomical structures.

AR mode could be better.... I was a little disappointed in AR mode in this app. I've seen other apps that let you lay the body on a table as if you were performing a dissection. This app does not do this. Also, you can't isolate or hide body features while in AR mode. To do this you need to exit and reenter AR mode which is inconvenient. You also can't animate the body in AR mode. (I've seen this on other apps) Finally it would be nice if there were a quiz mode with various structures pinned while in AR mode. This would simulate an anatomy lab. (The current quiz mode is pretty limited and only asked me a few questions when I did the upper limb. There is certainly more that could be added here.) This is a very expensive app. Forgive me if I expected a little more out of its highlight feature...

The Best Anatomy App!. This really is the most comprehensive Anatomy App today. Not only does it include every structure, but it also shows all the forms of movement for every muscle, insertion and origin points and even full courses from experts. That said, the developers need to improve their female Anatomy represetation. Right now you can only see female torso and pelvis. The entire female structure is different than the male, would be great to incide both. Additionally they need to include different skin color options, because diseases present differently on different skin tones. And it's just more inclusive. Make those changes and it would be perfect. Edit: They responded to my question and will have the full female anatomy represented in Winter 2021! Once again the BEST anatomy app. The remaining change for them to make is to add various skin tones to understand how disease presents differently. I'm sure that'll be a quick & easy addition. Thanks developer team!

More detail; Uncertain if worth it. I do like this app a lot, but I honestly don’t know that I like it more than essential anatomy, which I had purchased before getting complete anatomy. It has several optional features, like exercises and movement of joints/muscle function, which is an improvement from essential anatomy. I also like that there is much more anatomical detail and options to select minute detail with respect to connective tissue, fascia, muscle layers, and neurovasculature. There are several “classes” and videos, but many of them don’t los correctly, making their addition to the app less valuable. I have the iPhone X, but the app still crashes and lags frequently. This drives me crazy and makes me want to switch back to essential. Also, it doesn’t include vestibular structures, which I found surprising. I wish the developers would add this.

Cannot log in and retrieve previous purchase now!. Whenever I open the app (which is very seldom), I always have to log in again. And since I paid for the one-time purchase before the update of it being not available anymore, I ALWAYS have problems logging in and retrieving whenever I need to use it. I know its a great app, but I paid for it and I should be able to use it! What a money-grabber! You should have made a new app if you want to offer only subscriptions!

Disappointed. I am an ultrasound student and was trying to get as much information and resources as I could. Saw this app and the option to get ultrasound lectures which is exactly what I was interested in. Bought the lectures and now every time I go to load it, it says there is in an error and to relaunch. Tried it multiple times with no success. I’m not the type of person to ever write bad reviews but this needs addressed. I think this app would be highly beneficial if it worked. I have purchased something I can not even use. Please fix.

Student midwife. I am feeling out on this app. I’m a visual learner and I wish I had known about this app from the beginning of my training and education. I know this is a huge undertaking, but I’d eventually love to see if the following could be added: a combined pregnant and fetal model at various gestational stages. A combined fetal and pregnant models that allowed the ability to select different maternal pelvic shapes and the ability to select different fetal positions and levels of descent. That would be absolutely amazing.

really helpful!. I highly recommend this app for learning the parts of each bone of the body. It’s so easy to use and you get a 3D view of each bone and can also isolate each one and zoom in as much as you need. It’s awesome! Thanks c.anatomy for saving me! Nothing worked as best as this app, oh yeah and it’s free too (3 day free trial if you want the parts of the bones included).

Horrible... DONT DOWNLOAD THIS APP If you want an app with high details, decent price tag, and a source of learning, this app isn’t for you. When I first got this app, I was excited to learn and explore the human anatomy. But it all went south after I opened the app…. I am in the app and I see “layers” I assume it’s something to do with the model, I click on layer 2 or the muscular system. AND A SUBSCRIPTION POPS UP!!!! I ignore it and I go on layer 1 and it’s free? So I start clicking some buttons (like the 5 yr old I act like) and the same old subscription pop up…… It feels like your trapped in a box with 10 other boxes with locks…like you can’t do anything without their outrageous subscription fee. Judging by the #3 on the medical leaderboard, I thought this was the right app for me. And I was wrong… I may be wrong and the app might be good but the price is my problem. I thought this app was the best way to get out of the pay to play market..but I guess not. If you have the money for this app, that’s great. My problem is that people who don’t have the money to buy the app subscription but want to learn about the human anatomy, can’t access this app. It disgusts me to see that great apps have to have outrageous fees attached. Ads to unnecessary fees..what next?? Fees to open the app??

👍. I’ve used this app to help study for classes throughout the last couple semesters and over the summer. It’s especially great for a quick study sesh while in between daily tasks. There was a weird glitch keeping me from viewing the lectures I had purchased but a quick reinstall fixed it.

Always Crashing. I bought this app to use on my iPad and iPhone. It is always crashing and will never work for my iPhone no matter what I do. The app is mostly a great resource when it works with the exception of studying the sensory organs, being able to look at the brain, not the skull portion which is where it always reverts back to when I tap on a structure. Plus there are no models of the eye or ear itself that I can view on the atlas. While a good resource, with its constant crashing and lack of above mentioned functionality, to me it wasn’t worth the money I paid for the app and the student license. Very disappointed.

Detailed Model of Heart Vessels. I was looking at the heart today. It was my hope to find it in this app, and find models from the age of babies to adults. The lab I work in does not dissect younger people or therefore give insights into the structure and function of the heart from birth to death. It would be extraordinarily helpful to have a model of a heart added to the helpful and copious amount of detail this app has compiled about the human body. It would be helpful to have a detailed model of the heart that can be faded by quarters. It could be cut frontally and sagitally to form these quarters, and each quarter can fade. If the heart could continue to beat as the user fades out one or more quarters, and allow the accurate visualization of blood flow, that would be a beyond helpful tool. I would be on the app all day to fully understand the function of the heart looking at such a model. Please consider adding more detailed models about the human heart. I need to find an adult heart model with all the vessels, with a realistic layer of adipose tissue that can be hidden or faded. Thank you so much for this app!

Used this app to help pass exam. I became a licensed optician in the State of Idaho 2 years ago and Complete Anatomy was invaluable in terms of being able to see how eye muscles worked, pathologies of the eye (which my training material did not go into enough detail with) and the model of the eye that now shows tear ducts and cornea. I used this app for over a dozen screenshots with detailed notes on both my iPad Pro and MacBook and it was seriously the best. Well done devs! I do hope to continue to see micro-anatomy models added; specifically I’d love to see the 5 layers of the cornea added as I use this app weekly still to show patients how their eyes work such as the crystalline lens that becomes opaque causing cataracts.

Take my money!. I’m a Physical Therapist and I use their Essential Anatomy 5 app almost daily in the clinic for patient education. This is a huge upgrade from what I can tell so far, with more detailed models, the ability to see labeled various landmarks on the bones, the ability to see hilighted muscle attachment sites, and many more educational features that I have yet to explore. Their essential anatomy 5 app was probably my most valued app on the iPhone , and this one looks to be an even better version of that, better utilizing the amazing processing power our phones have. So far it looks fantastic.

Fantastic. The best app I have found to look at 3D structures of the human body. After you figure out how to navigate moving the body on the screen, it is amazing. I bought the $10 upgrade because the trial showed me how much it could do. Genuinely helping me pass my A&P class and I will continue using it in the future for reference.

Anatomy App Review. This app is great! I used this for my college Anatomy class for a whole semester and I found it useful. It is able to give you an accurate and adjustable view of the nearly every structure in the human body. If you have trouble scrolling through your huge textbook, this is a great buy. The in-app movement can be a bit tedious at times, especially the two finger movement. It is difficult to see certain structures from every angle. It is possible to isolate and view them that way, but it really takes away from what makes the app so good, it’s simplicity. Overall, I enjoy this app and I would recommend it to friends.

Needs Update for Extended Monitor. Love this app to use with my students. With my iPad Mini which allows for mirror screen I use the app to teach but with the new iPads with the M1 chip I can no longer use the app on my extended monitor. It’s really frustrating since the app becomes harder to use for teaching with an iPad connected to an external monitor. Please help! You peeps are amazing!

Removed pathology feature?. One of my favorite aspects of this app was the ability to show common pathology views. For example, if you clicked on a lumbar disc, it also showed herniation or extrusion. Since the nee update, I cannot figure out how to access this feature, but it seems to have been moved into the “conditions” videos, which require a more extensive subscription. Notwithstanding that feature change, it’s an excellent and comprehensive anatomy app

Pretty good but. I’d like a cadaver “skin” option and they really should have thought the pop-up info window that takes up the entire screen in AR mode a little better. Edit: To clarify, I mean “skin” not in the integumentary sense, but rather computer graphics sense. I’d like the option to turn on photorealistic shading, texture, and coloration that looks more like the cadavers do in the cadaver lab. Arteries and nerves the same color (more or less), veins blueish/black, etc. Basically I wish you could hit a button and turn it from “beautifully illustrated anatomy textbook” to look more like the Mark Nielsen/Shawn Miller cadaver photos lecture that they have available for purchase. In an ideal world, they’d make the muscles floppy, flaccid, or even give the option to show what the muscle looks like when atrophied (like they often are with elderly donors in the lab), but this would be a pretty deep rewrite of the 3D models, compared to the more “doable” updating of the model textures. Last gripe: I wish you could temporarily disable bones and muscles from being selected (while still having them visible for reference). I don’t have particularly fat fingers, but if I’m studying nerves, it’s almost impossible to select a nerve without zooming in 1000% just to make sure you’re don’t select the bone/muscles nearby instead.

Incredible detail!. The amount of time, effort, and detail put into this app is absolutely mind blowing. You really have to try it to understand and appreciate the love that was put into creating this outstanding anatomy platform. I could easily write paragraphs on each part and it’s greatness. Just download it and explore. I guarantee you’ll be impressed!

High school level software. A very BASIC software that tries to impress you with color contrast rather than useful, in depth detail. Once you purchase it, it tries to trap you with higher annual subscription rate where they promise you things, but will not allow you to try it for more than 72 hours (this including your sleeping time & your work time) in order to make you feel guilty that it’s your fault you did not utilize the software enough to see if it is worth the annual purchase. I strongly suggest that you pass on this high school level software and instead put your money on a better anatomy software that delivers finer and detailed level of information without wasting the storage space on your phone

Update Refuses to tell you what the upgrade costs. I appreciate that the developer answered this review and helped me out to find the prices. I won’t lie to you this is a great app card they revealed at the price of the upgrade I could’ve decided if I want to get it or not but I have searched all over and they want me to down. Once you do the 1499 initial payment they want you to upgrade but refused to tell you,how much that will cost

Horrible Customer Service - Beware of Being Charged Multiple Times. Full access to all of the content is expensive, and I still have trouble getting lectures to easily play on my devices. You are required to sign in & create an account on their platform, and it doesn’t automatically connect to your purchases. I found myself in a loop and wound up paying for the app multiple times because the interface was kicking me back and not connecting my account to my purchase. Customer service was zero help - I asked for an extension of my subscription for a time period that would reflect what I paid (not even a refund), and they refused. There is no care taken to point out that ‘22 is different from 22 (without an apostrophe) - it’s just sloppy on the backend, not worth $100 a year.

Account overlap. I have paid for full app on my iPad. It won’t allow me to use the program on my phone without purchasing add ons. I downloaded as an early adopter, paid for subscription which was converted to a full program purchase, which I appreciate. Now with my phone it’s trying to make me purchase all over again.

It Is very good at what it does have. I am very pleased with how much this has helped me as a student in anatomy. It goes very in depth with all the terms and definitions, and very rarely is there a term that I couldn’t find. So five stars for that My only complaint is the lack of smaller in depth models for the eye, ear, and brain. Like what they have for the skin, blood vessels, etc... I know it’s hard for them to have literally everything but it would have been very useful to have when my classes went over those things... but great job on the app!!!

Please add this to IPhone version. There is the cutting option in iPad version which i had it but when i bought the iPhone version it dose not have that option which os one of the best thing about this app so hope you can add that option to iPhone version . Thank you so much for this app it helps me a lot .

Keeps Crashing. I’ve never paid for an app before but I’m in school to become a Registered Diagnostic Sonographer and I needed something a bit more in-depth, yet, basically “dummy proof” in explaining blood vessel connections and course. If it can help all of these med students then surely it could help me. I wasn’t expecting this app to do that and so much more. Honestly the best $37 ever spent. I don’t feel like I’m memorizing things either; when I gain an understanding of something then it sticks in my head so much better. With my textbooks and class lectures, I’ve just been flash carding everything in my head because alot of the information feels like disjointed information. With this app I feel like relevances has been introduced for the first time. I gave it three stars for one reason only: it keeps crashing. Again, I’m in school for sonography so being able to locate organs from the transverse view is important. I select the cross-section option in order to see the body habitus transversely and the app closes out completely every time. It worked at first - I only discovered the cross-sectional view this morning but now at 5:30 in the evening it no longer works. An incredible bummer because this app is actually the only reason I now understand what my textbooks have been showing me from that specific view. I honestly don’t need to make full use of all of the apps capabilities; the few things I do use it for are now only 50% operative. Please fix the crashing 🙏🏼

Essential Tool for A&P. I’ll keep this short and sweet. I’m a nontraditional undergrad in my first real A&P course since high school, which was nearly 20 years ago. This class is absolutely brutal, and the 2D diagrams in the textbook aren’t cutting it. This app is a lifesaver. By the way, the desktop version is just as amazing, and you get a sizable discount if you’ve already purchased this. I’d bet it works the other way around too.

(Pretty goot but one major flaw!) Edit-Amazing app!. I love Essent. Anatomy 5 and I immediately bought Complete Anatomy as soon as I got notice of it. So far it is way better than EA5 but there is one thing that annoys me pretty much. When you tap on a structure it automatically centers that scructure. So that means it zooms out for most of the bigger structures. That makes working/learnin with the app extremely frustrating because if you tap on the wrong structure it zooms out and then you have to zoom in again. That‘s especially annoying if you just want to klick onto different structures to see what they are named. So please remove that automatic zoom or at least add an option in settings to turn that feature off! Make it like in EA5 where you could press on a structure and the camera didn‘t move! You will get 5* if you make that change! Edit: They changed the feature! Now the app is so unbelievably amazing. I study in 4. year medicine and I still use it nearly every day while I‘m studying (especially now while learning surgery) This app gets my complete recommendation for anybody who studies medicine, works in the medical field or simply is interested in medical structures. So basically it is great for everyone! And amazing support btw!

Incredible reference material. As a medical layman, this has helped significantly in understanding my multiple surgeries for recurrent herniations in my lumbar spine. Also, when explaining my spine issues to others, it's incredibly helpful to have a detailed 3D model on hand to show an interested party. Nevermind the voluminous content...Cheers for a wonderful product!

Great app for studying. Overall this app is fantastic in aiding my study of human anatomy. Although it may have quirks and such, it is a wonderful app. However, I have one comment. In studying the pathway and position of the phrenic nerve, in almost all cases it runs superficial to the scalenus anterior muscle. However, in the app I noticed that the phrenic nerve runs deep to the scalenus anterior muscle. Is this a mistake, or was this purposely done?

Most Useful. This app is absolutely the most useful app for studying anatomy I have seen. The entire line of 3D4Medical apps are highly useful. As a Kinesiology student and as a personal trainer this app has allowed me to create highly detailed presentations for school, teach large groups of both children and adults about anatomy as it pertains to movement, and provides clear visuals for clients when I need them. I can’t imagine not having this app on my phone.

Med student. It's a great tool, but only if you want to study male anatomy. I wish I could have a complete female body as well. My cadaver is female so I was looking forward to using his to study and unfortunately this only allows you to view SOME of the female pelvis. There doesn't appear to be an option to toggle btw male and female. But even with the prospected female pelvis several of the structures are missing. This is GREATLY disappointing given how much I paid for this. You'd think Complete Anatomy would be Complete.

6.0 update destroyed performance. This app used to run well before 6.0. Now it runs hot and feels less optimized than before. If you close the app, it immediately needs to be refreshed when you reopen. Battery drain is atrocious, like really bad across all platforms. The Mac app kicks on the fans within seconds and becomes a toaster; I’m using the 2018 MacBook Pro. Really disappointed because it used to be a nice app. Now it’s a toaster oven that destroys battery. Doesn’t matter if it’s on my iPhone, iPad Pro or MacBook Pro, it runs hot and drains your battery

Best App to ever exist in the history of ever. This is an amazing app! I paid $37 for the student version and it is perfect. I am lucky to be in a class where we have cadavers but I can’t always go to open lab. So this very useful for visualizing the ligaments and muscles. I love the search feature and being able to add muscles one at a time to the skeleton. I also like that you can hide certain muscles to see those that are deep. The AR feature is great for sketching and the lectures are helpful as well. If you’re in an online anatomy class especially or without access to cadavers this is your best friend and absolutely worth the price. My only critique is that I would love to be able to save certain skeletons that I build. For example after I add all the muscles that move the pectoral girdle to the skeleton I would love to be able to save it to come back to later. And be able to make “playlists” of all my saved models so that they’re easy to find. It’s possible I just haven’t figured this out yet too, still learning the app a little bit.

Pricing not up to date. This app is very detailed, but I was very upset as the pricing grid for this particular app on the App Store still shows individual licensing at $24 but after downloading and emailing the company they do not offer this option anymore. since I am not a student nor a business, I don’t feel that I should have to pay yearly for this app when it clearly stated individual licensing. Maybe the pricing for this app should be updated so there is no more misleading information.

New update great but needs bug fixes badly. The new update vastly improves the UI but there are a large number of new bugs now occurring such as buttons not responding the first time they are touched and the system viewing selector acting oddly when you + or - systems to view. Also the model seems to be choppy when panning despite the animations (IE heart beat) occurring smoothly at the same time.

Very resourceful and accurate. I am a first year medical student. This app has helped me organize locations in my brain so that it was much easier to locate the structures on the cadavers. It’s very, very accurate and the interface is fantastic. There are a few drawbacks though. I don’t understand why there is no option for a full female anatomy. This would help greatly as there are many structures that can be identified within the female breast. Also, the “lectures” are not really lectures. I purchased the cadaveric images, but they weren’t interactive as i thought they would be. I don’t recommend buying those. The 3D model is much more helpful. Overall this app is great and is highly recommended for medical students or anatomy enthusiasts.

I am a Massage Therapist, I recommend this app to all taking anatomy. Well worth the $20 for an individual device plan. I spend hours just exploring the anatomy of our body (Edited) I still highly recommend this app! I would like to know if I can transfer my plan to another device and remove it from this one. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Great app for me but .... I’ve been used the essential anatomy 8 on iphone and ipad for tow years and i upgraded to the complete anatomy for ipad when it released , its a great app for me as a dental student but and it’s great idea to get it on iphone ...... but when I downloaded the app on iPhone and restore my purchase (the full version) it works well but when I close the app and open it again i have to restore the purchase again and every time i close and open the app , so when I’m offline i can’t use it anymore 💔💔. I hope that you will fix this issue to make it perfect app 👌. Sincerely Osama

AR Glitch. Every time I place a model in AR and attempt to enlarge or shrink it ... it disappears and I have no clue where it goes or how to make it return. Even clicking on the little blue circle that appears doesn’t help. I was ready to buy this app after my 3 day free trial I was so impressed but the AR glitch is really annoying and it’s so useful. Fix it please so I can give you my money SHEESH!

Amazing. As a medical student I bought this app to learn gross anatomy and it’s the most amazing app that has helped me get an A! Between the videos, quizzes, diagrams, 3D structures that you are able to view arterial, venous, skeletal, and muscle along with the AR mode where you can put whatever you want as a projection to make it look like the real thing. It has changed my life.

Great App. Amazing app! Very helpful and easy to use. Really nice graphics which are nicer than all the other anatomy apps- makes it a real joy to use! Runs well on my iPhone, making it easy to quickly check anatomy structures, eg. Cant wait for the future models to come!

Brilliant except. Such a wonderful well thought out app except for the totally difficulty I am having downloading it onto my iPad.

Shouldn’t be free. The app is a scam. It is listed as free but all you can do for free is look at the skeleton in which case there is no need for an app. If it was listed with a proper price I wouldn’t care but it is misleading and quite frankly stupid.

Shame about the marketing. Great basic anatomy app, but no, not going to be subscribing to ongoing costs for information advertised as part of the initial purchase. There is a certain lack of transparency about what you get when you buy the app.

Doesn’t disappoint at all. It’s fantastic, it would be really great if there was a way of incorporating trigger point referrals for muscles and organs

So helpful. What an amazing app!! Helping me pass Anatomy

Camera Navigation Feedback. Hello! What a brilliant and endlessly helpful app you guys have made here. The only issue I am having with it at the moment is the camera rotation. It would be really helpful if there was a feature to rotate the camera around a selected object, instead of the centre of the whole model itself. possibly changing the cameras centre rotation axis to an object that is double tapped could be a good way of integrating this feature as this already centres the camera to the object. A small issue, I know but would further help with ease of use and general navigation and inspection around anatomical structures. Thanks for creating such and amazing app!

Feature packed but simple to use. Amazing app that meets all of my anatomy needs as a student. Has a full set of functionality (especially a fan of the muscle movement animations), but remains intuitive to use. Make sure you try out the AR, especially in exploded view

Stop working. Stopped to work with IOS12

YES. I am very thankful for this app!

The course can’t open to watch. The model is an amazing tool to help understand each muscle. loved to study in the course programs too. However, I don't know what’s going on after the update. I can’t open it anymore, even I have already downloaded all I want to watch.

Hair. Could you please add hair to the models?

Do Not be fooled. I bought this app and then my son deleted it by mistake Now I can’t install it back because it won’t let me download again

AMAZING. I am a medical student and I such at pronunciation and medical terms so this is great for me and it’s all medically right! I love it and have been using it forever! I bought to upgrades which are 1000% worth it for what you get! Love it would recommend to anyone!

Need separate female and male models. Great app but it's a bit out of date to only have female chest and pelvis as dismembered body parts rather than part of a full female model. You've been promising this for ages.

Acupuncture points?. Thank you for developing such an amazing app. It has been very helpful in my study. Just thinking it would be excellent experience to see a function in acupuncture points and channels added to the current structure. Hope this comes true in the near future 🙏

Do not download. There is a pay wall, absolutely useless.

Excellent. Greatest anatomical app to date. Whether your a lay doctor or a specialist surgeon this is the one for you.

Complete Anatomy. This app helps me with Uni sooo much (I’m studying Physiotherapy) Can not recommend enough

Great models & concept but poor loading & crashing. Great models & concept but poor loading & crashing issues Freezing and lagging make this frustrating to use for study & clinical use

Only useful with purchase. Unfortunately this app has very little in the free version. To really get anything useful out of it you’ll need the in app purchases. Wish I’d realise that before downloading.

Immediate Paywall. Takes you through on boarding and you land in the app only to try and see any anatomy and be given a pop-up which says you need to then go and sign up for a three day trial. Then there’s 7 more onboarding screens. Deceptive BS.

Heats up. I love this app. However although I have an iPhone X my phone heats up really bad every time I open the app sighing 30 seconds

App lagging lots when using search function on iPhone 12 and iPad Air 4.. Frustrating when trying to pull up quick search during anatomy classes :/

IT TAKES SOO LONG TO DOWNLOAD!!,🤬😡🤬. IT TAKES SOOO LONG TO DOWNLOAD 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Almost perfect. This app is a lifesaver and totally worth the money spent on the premium subscription. I would give it 5 stars except for 1 thing which is swiping and moving the model around. Its very frustrating as sometimes it inputs the wrong command and sends the model upside down. I would’ve loved to have a “re-centre” button such as the one on google maps to return the model to the perfect position instantly. Overall, the movement interface should be improved. Also, when highlighting muscular structures, the colour used to do so is orange-ish colour which when combined with the red colour of the muscles makes it difficult to distinguish between the highlighted and non-highlighted structures. It would have been much better to use green or blue or any dark colour to highlight.

Look great but can’t create an account. Please check the app!

I’m trying to cancel my free trial!. I’m trying to cancel my free trial but it’s impossible to find a way. I have sent them an email via their website and now writing here hoping they are going to cancel my free trial before I get charged!!

Why am I nagged to review after paying money for this?. Like many apps, an intrusive pop-over shows up when I’m in a work flow asking me to rate the app. So one star. Because you messed up my work flow. Also, still no full female model? Seriously? The male dominated medical profession needs an overhaul. You guys could start by setting an example. —— Update: To the developer response of “clicking not now does not interrupt your workflow”. Actually, a pop up that I didn’t ask for DOES interrupt my workflow. By nature of popping up over the work that I’m doing. And when you respond to tell me that your pop up does not interrupt my work flow, a flow that you know nothing about, it shows a lack of regard for your users. Also, aren’t you embarrassed that there is no complete female model to complement the male model in your product? Was it too much work to put the same care and effort into properly and fully representing the other 50% of the human race? Or are women just a disembodied pelvis and torso to you?

Don’t waste your time like I did. This is a scam and should be under the pay apps seeing as all you get with the base download is the skeletal system

Only skeleton system. I want to cancel and refund this app price not worth at all … what is the process of refund ????

Trial. How do you unsubscribe the app after the 3 day trial ?

Transferring the app from iPhone to iPad. Hi, I just recently purchased this app on my iPhone but I would rather have it on my iPad. Is there a way to transfer the account/app from my phone to my iPad?

Just crashes. I downloaded this app 3 times and yet every time I opened it, it would jut crash on the home screen, I don’t know why but I’m not going to waste anymore of my gb on this.

Already paid!. I paid to upgrade to full version on my iPad already. 0 excuse that I should have to pay again to have it on my iPhone. Won't be buying any future apps if this is how you do business. I will not support greed. Your apps are nice but when you charge the kind of prices you do it should be a one time fee. I won't be recommending this app as a result. Who knows what else you guys will start charging for. Ps thx for the copy and paste response. I love how the review directly below mine says the exact same thing. This is geeedy weather you had to "redevelop" from the ground up or not. You don't penny pinch your current customer base you know why? Cuz there are other apps out there and text books and if a friend in the medical Community asks me about this app I'm gunna tell them the truth. It's fantastic one of the best. But you will be paying multiple times for "upgrades" and other bs don't expect to spend $50 and call it a day like I did. And I understand other developers do this garbage. Be better then them. Offering a "temporary discount" to ppl who already purchased isn't good enough. Most of us are students who aren't working and don't have $10 to give you. Because you already took edit: $15.00 based of current essential anatomy 5 price not sure how much I initially spent... and $50 plus depending how you bought complete anatomy... I'm so frustrated with this practise! I just wanna pay for something and call it a day... this app hasn't been downloaded 4 times... you got money and MANY other apps. I will increase my rating to 4 stars if you guys don't do this kind of nonsense in the future time will tell. In summary it's the best app buy it if you have to and your not worried about upgrade garbage... this is my only concern... one time fee of 50 bucks from a million ppl is a lot of money I'm fully aware that plus upgrade fees is more. But let us get you more customers instead. Don't but the hand that feeds...

Ok. The app is over all pretty well build. However you can still see it was not done by anatomy person but a programmer. The main thing that bugs me hugely is when you isolate the muscle it moves it to anatomical position (this is still ok), but when you press on expand more info of the muscle the screen shifts to the right and you can not read the info of the muscle AND see it visually at the same time if you try to more the screen to the position where you see the muscle, the info bar disappears. Not impressed for the price.

Great app, super laggy, difficult to navigate. This is a great learning app! I have been using it for some KNES classes and it is awesome to visualize things in a different way. I love being able to isolate different features of the body and see the different types of movements and exercises. Truly amazing. The app is free through my education, so I am not sure that it would have been worth purchasing if it wasn’t offered, mostly because of the lag There are only two things that really bother me with this app. The first is the app is extremely laggy for me, on my phone and laptop no matter where I am or what kind of laptop or pc I am on. The lag is especially bad when I am searching for different parts of the body, this is a constant frustration and waste of time while studying. I think it’s due to the massive amount of content it has to filter. The lag also causes the app on my phone to crash every time I leave it. Thankfully there is a recently viewed feature so I can go back to where I was, but it can be frustrating to be restarting constantly. The second issue is the difficulty to navigate different features on the app. I would appreciate a more detailed and comprehensive tutorial on how to make certain features work like highlighting multiple structures. It has taken me a while to learn how to use this app and I know there is still so much more I don’t know how to do. Overall, great app, I can appreciate the amount of work that goes into it. Cheers to the many creators and collaborators.

Best Anatomy App EVARR!!!. It’s amazing how far anatomy apps have gone! I love using technology to understand anatomy and I definitely think it’s super worth it to buy both this one and the iPad versions. Being able to freely see different angles give me such a great understanding of muscle relationships.

Most Complete Anatomy App I’ve Owned. I have used many apps in last few years to educate myself and others on Human Anatomy basics and more complicated subjects! Honestly, not so complicated with this App! The ease in which you can view the Human Body and it’s systems makes this App a must! Specifically, regional anatomy which was important to me was made easier to grasp just by slowly but concretely going through each region! I highly recommend purchasing this App for a very professional, detailed and accurate learning! Try it, you will not regret it

How many more times do I need to pay this greedy company. Seriously, I sympathize with the other reviewers who have complained about having to pay for a separate iPad and iPhone app. Please Developers, don't bother with another copy and paste response to this complaint. Just know I've given you enough money and thats all you'll ever get from me again. Not supporting business practices like this anymore.

Best Anatomy Tool Ever!. This app is fantastic! I am a Yoga and Pilates Teacher and it really helps me understand and visualize human anatomy and biomechanics. Worth the purchase!

Overcharged. The offer posted says $65.99 but you charged my card $129.99. How do I go about getting that corrected when there’s no contact information built into your app?

Massage therapy student must have. As a massage therapy student, this app SAVED ME. I COULD NOT GRASP ANATOMY especially muscle insertions/origins/actions…this app honestly saved me from failing. The full version is so insanely worth it if you’re a student! It’s the best money I’ve spent. I can’t stop raving about this to my classmates and have gotten so many people on to this app. It made everything click so fast, I wish I got it sooner in the semester tbh. 10/10 recommend. Thank you app creators, oh my goodness ❤️

App. Apps sucks. Only skeleton and tendons

Isolate without hiding. Please add a button under the center model button that locks the selected part to the middle of the screen without hiding the rest of the body. Exactly like the isolate part camera behaves. Thank you.

Nothing better. I gave four stars because you'll probably skip a 5 star review, so that you'll read that it's the best. Enjoy.

Update Has Issues. I’ve used this app in the past for years and thought it was great. Very disappointed in this update. I have trouble logging in and the one time that I was able to I could no longer view previous lectures I paid for!

Cannot see the category on the top of screen. I cannot see the category on the top of screen on iPhone 14 pro.

How many times do I need to pay?. I paid for an upgrade on my iPad to the complete version. Now there is an iPhone version, and I have to pay again to have it on my phone? What's the next charge?

Terrible Tech Support. I was having issues getting the app to work on my device and when I contacted the company for help, Nicola was extremely dismissive and unhelpful. She got very ‘that sounds like a you problem’ and seemed to take my negative review of her feedback personally (which the company asks for in the first place, I did not go out of my way to say I was unhappy with the help I recieved). I wish the customer service was better.

Some features don’t work. It’s been more than 2 months I’ve been using this app. Every time I click on nerve branches it never works. Deleted the app and dl it again, still having the same issue!

Only the skeleton?. I’m not sure what happened. This app was great and then I went to use it the other day and I couldn’t see any layers only the skeleton. No nerves or organs, nothing. No options to access anything. What gives?

Can’t open the app?. I downloaded the app but it just goes to the credit page and nothing is happening I deleted it and tried reinstalling it too Not sure what is going on

Unbelievable.. I paid way too much money for this app on my computer (before the iPad/iPhone versions were available). It was a gross amount of money but I was glad to see that I could now get it on other devices. So I download the app, log into my account and I still can’t get more than 2 structures? Are you kidding me? You actually expect me to pay EVEN MORE money on this app just because it’s on a different device? This is absolutely ridiculous and I will be sure to steer my peers away from this application in the future (despite advocating for it so much in the past). I am beyond disappointed. Hopefully this changes in the future. But until then, DO NOT PURCHASE THIS APPLICATION. THERE ARE MANY OTHER SIMILAR APPS OUT THERE THAT DONT PULL THIS CRAP ON THEIR CUSTOMERS.

Bring back one time payment. It's too bad they got rid of the one time payment. I consider it expensive to subscribe annually when I l used it mainly for visual aid, and rarely for lessons etc.

Amazing but. Please allow us to have the application in french for exemple, and at the same time having access to all courses and video in english. Because we actually have to change the application language to access others languages videos and courses. And an other thing, I would so much prefer to buy an individual licence instead of an annual one... Other than that, such an amazing application.

Great for school!. This app is great and just want I need for my anatomy class! Only down fall is the price after the trial runs out. I don’t have that much money right now as a student and to have to pay $50 and for it to last for only a year is kind of impossible to do.

This app TOTALLY NEEDS a HUGH update on iPhone !!!!. This application has a GREAT illustration, smooth graphic, I like it. BUT THERE ARE SO MANY IMPERFECTIONS TO SAY IT'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH AND NOT WORTH SUBSCRIBING FOR 30+ DOLLARS First of all, this app cannot search for a single structure that has branches, a nerve; cranial and other kind as well. It will show just the ganglion if you search for 'Trigeminal nerve'; you have to type all other branches names yourself if you want to see the entire nerve with branches. Some other apps CAN DO that. Secondly, It can do NOT EVERYTHING of the counterpart iPad Pro can. It canNOT save the view you make in case you want to see it later and so MANY MORE I don't want to mention here. I HOPE THE APPLICATION WILL GET BETTER SOON, REMEMBER THIS, MAKE IT WORTH BUYING/SUBSCRIPTIONING.

Great viewer. I have the desktop version, and this is great for viewing all my screens, quizzes, and favorites on my phone in class. I love having it with my in my pocket too. Totally worth it for quick reference. It took me a minute to learn the new look, but it’s an awesome interface and easy to use.

Great for M1 year in med school. Been using this as a companion for anatomy in my M1 year and it’s been great. It’s fantastic to be reading my notes and then have this on my phone to help visualize all the origins, insertions, and actions. Being able to hide/fade layers to help see what the different relationships between muscles are has been super helpful

I would literally pay hundreds of dollars for this app. To the devs: Thank you guys so, so much for all your hard work it’s literally perfect

Seeing is Important. I am a visual learner!! Thanks to Complete Anatomy I can see the body and really learn. I did well in geometry when I could see the principles. I do really well in CranioSacral Therapy when I can see the body in my mind.

What happened to CA 2018???. I paid for it and now it’s GONE. When I bought a new device I went to download it and it’s now CA 2019 and none of the features I paid for are available. They promised the female version which should have always been included in an app called COMPLETE Anatomy but never delivered it. This is BEFORE they moved to the subscription model - just one of the many models they’ve shifted to over the years. Nope - not throwing another buck down this black hole. Blah blah. Great app and developers but not great business talent. I’m writing here because there’s no other way that I could find to contact them. The website is a mess. I’ll continue to use the original CA even though it hasn’t been updated in a year.

Outstanding Anatomy App. The musculoskeletal detail is outstanding. You can learn exactly how your hand functions by this apps layering of both cartilage and muscle tissues. It is fascinating to see. This is the best app I’ve ever used. Can’t believe I purchased for $9.99!!

Have the iPad app? Need to pay to upgrade on iPhone, too!. I love this app - I’m a medical student, and this app lets me learn anatomy, quiz myself, see what my instructor has posted, etc without needing to go into lab. That said.... I am BEYOND disappointed that, having paid well over $25 for the fully upgraded version on iPad (which, btw, still doesn’t mean I have access to the anatomy courses..... those STILL require extra purchase), I apparently can not log into my account and use the EXACT SAME APP on my iPhone without giving another $15. I’m sorry, but that is just ridiculous - and I have never seen any other company or learning platform doing the same with their products cross iPad/iPhone. So for the potential buyer who doesn’t appreciate getting robbed — I recommend getting Essential Anatomy. 👍

Defect. Alternative names for some structures of muscle is only on mac os version but on iOS version isn’t! For example” corrugator supercilii muscle!! “ Its alternative name is wrote only on mac os version ! Please complete! And I can’t do multiple selection !! In iOS version Please guide me how can I do it

Please add lymphatic system display options. Would love to see the lymphatic system broken down like into main tracks, leading in to superficial as well as watersheds flow patterns. The lymphatic system needs more, I teach and would be awesome to have a visual aid capable of displaying the thought process.

Yeah it’s cool…. I like it, but I really wish it wasn’t subscription based. I mainly wanted something that I could use to help give me a sense of the anatomical movement of specific muscles. Unfortunately everything comes in a package together. Just wish I could make a one time purchase for a specific section

Customer service terrible. I gave a bad review for bait and switch tactics and heard nothing for weeks then the company responded so I replied that I would be willing to change my feedback if they would explain how it’s not bait and switch. Their only response was asking for more information. All the info was there and they still haven’t responded. Now I’m being harassed by one of their customer service reps to change my review. Seriously stay away from this company I wish I did

Buyer beware. You must buy the app over and over again if you want to use it on multiple devices. I bought the iOS version and after using it fine on my iPad and phone for months, one day it tells me I need to pay more money to continue using it on my iPhone. The app is decent, but this company is not worth engaging with. They are predatory and will bait-and-switch You the first chance they get.

Full Female version?. The app is great and the features it has were just what I wanted, except for the fact that there’s no full body version for the female. Makes it really difficult due to the fact so much of the body is connected and I can’t see all of it

Really works awful after update.. Today I updated my application and I saw that the application works really bad. It has bugs. And it works really slow. After show the motions of muscles, when you click back button it stops for secends and uploads muscles one by one. Please help me. I really need this application but not like this.

Love the app but I’m having issues. When I try to open the app it acts like it’s loading up, but stops an sends me to my Home Screen. Tried reporting the problem an the page won’t let me, help!

Great - when it works. Really great information but there is a serious bug in the app and it regularly freezes. I have to uninstall and reinstall to get it to work for a little while. Then it starts all over again. Frustrating!

Login. I love this app. I use it quite a bit. My only criticism is it makes you sign in every single time you use it despite it being on the same device, very frustrating. Many apps have a one time sign in on your device. Please fix this

Unreasonable. who would actually pay 45 yearly for a digital product u dont even own… maybe as a one time thing but u could get better anatomy books for that price. the issue with these products is they are all digital and i can probably afford to buy a physical model cheaper in the long run. literally wasted potential because devs are money hungry.

Best Medical App period!. As a medical massage therapist and personal trainer I use this app to educate my clients on a regular basis. What I am waiting for is a rumor I heard a couple years ago about complete anatomy utilizing LiDAR. Is there any update on this?

They also moved to a subscription only model. The app is amazing and is probably the best anatomy app on the App Store. They used to offer an option to pay a one time fee for permanent access, but they only offer subscriptions now. If you don’t mind paying annually, it’s a great app but I have trouble justifying the price.

It cost money to see body parts now?!?!. Ok idk if it’s true but am checking to make sure why does it cost money to see body parts? Is it only free for first time playing? Please respond.

Fraud. The in-app purchase stated that students would receive half off for the first year and then would return to full price the following year. I checked my bank account and saw that they charged full price. Does this company really not expect their customers to check their bank accounts? This is absolutely disgusting and extremely concerning. I would recommend not purchasing from this company for this reason. Apple has been contacted and screenshots have been made.

No way to unsubscribe. The app is great, however, there is no link to cancel the auto-renewal of the subscription! I tried to cancel it through the website and they direct me to the App Store. Problem is, I can only change my subscription choice in the App Store. There is no option to cancel my subscription or auto renewal!

I don’t understand.... At first there’s an option to use the app for free, which I took full advantage of. I used it for a little while and decided to buy it. After purchasing the app it worked for maybe 2 weeks and hasn’t worked since. I’ll start the app to try to use the different layers and whatnot and no menu and sometimes it will only be either a black screen or it will get stuck on the loading screen. Love dropping $20 on an app that works when it feels like it.

So helpful. This app has been so helpful to me in my anatomy and kinesiology class. Definitely been a great supplemental tool for my learning. The tools work well and I think it’s very worth the cost

Anatomy. The app is great the first 3days are free. Taking any medical courses use this app it will help you understand the body. The only bad things about the app is the price. I paid $25 after the 3days because I like it. I wanted the $75 price but didn’t want to pay yearly.

Looks great, but where are the details?. Its looks great! Although, where is the rest of the endocrine system? And missing organs and details on the rest of the systems...? (Am I missing something here?) For the price, it could definitely get more detailed. Its a great looking app, but I was a little disappointed. Please add details and more details. Thanks!

Really great app!!. I love this app. Everything you need to know in your pocket. However 2 things I really dislike is the battery drainage and the fact that it really heats up my phone within a minute of use. Other than that the app works really good.q

So helpful. Omg if you are in gross anatomy, you NEED to buy. This is the most helpful app in the world. I have trouble with id-ing the muscles and this helps a lot. It also gives the actions. The yearly price is so worth it. Such a god send!!

One thing.... This is a pretty great app for the most part, but the default human experience is not “White Male”. As this is targeted as a learning device for the medical field I would like to see the change in this mindset start here. Hopefully by starting with changing the tools our doctors use to educate themselves we can make a larger impact on the medical industry as a whole.

Bugs. I don’t like that I doesn’t have muscles. But together with another app that doesn’t have ligaments or fascias, I almost complete the body 😂. But it does have a bug I discovered. The collatateral radial ligament of the wrist it shows it ends on the trapezium bone, but the description says it ends on the scaphoid. My anatomy book also says it ends on the scaphoid so the 3D figure is wrong.

Pretty good but how do I lower the rotation sensitivity?. This app is like EA5 on steroids. It actually shows you individual landmarks on bones. Only problem is the body rotates too fast. Its hard to get it oriented to the perfect angle for viewing. How can I reduce the rotation sensitivity?

Great Layering Feature, updates are beneficial. Having access to muscle motions has come in handy when educating patients/clients. Continued improvement on including muscle actions and adding ability to search for groups of muscles according to specific movements would make this almost perfect.

Disappointed at Lack of Access. I am disappointed in the lack of clarity about the features of licenses. I got the 1-year Student Plus License for PA school and it saved my life. However, I assumed I would be able to still use the models (though not extra features) after it expired. However, I have lost access to all of the models and am left high & dry for my second year of school! This topic is very unclear on the website and if I'd have known, I would have gotten the individual license in the first place, instead of “double paying” for access to the models. I am so disappointed, as this app has been one of my favorites. I’d otherwise give this app the highest star rating it deserves.

A very shot interaction with this app Anatamoy. I️ opened the app for the first time and was able to browse and different catargories liek skeletel and muscular. As soon as I️ clicked one of the boxes to view it immediately opened a window with in a bright sky blue box and there was no option to X out of the window. I️ had to close the app then deleted it. All in all it was a fun ride experiencing this with y’all so I’ll give you two stars ✌🏼♊️

Great app love it!. I’m a 13 year old and since this is for 12+ I downloaded it because I want to be a doctor when I get older and this helps me understand the human anatomy wayy Better great app and keep it up<3

Subscription model with no reminders, huge cost. I used this to study for medical school to try to wrap my head around cranial nerves during one block. It helped a little. 2 years later, I realize it’s been recharging me $75 + tax yearly for something I haven’t opened once. I realize this is how subscription models work, but this one is really expensive and really easy to forget about.

I love it but..... I just want to start off by saying the app is awesome! It has everything I’ve needed throughout all my anatomy courses. The only reason I’m giving it a 2 star is because they are trying to charge me again for the app to have it on my phone. I have the app on my iPad but to get it on my iPhone they want to charge me again. I’ve already spent $50 I shouldn’t be charged to have the app on my phone.

Crashes way too often. This is a fantastic app when it works. However, it crashes more often than not. I tried closing the app and even reinstalling it, but the problem persists. The crashing is so frequent that the app isn’t even usable sometimes.

Great support. Great program but the last update screwed up my screen on my 10.5” iPad. I Emailed support they got back to me quickly made recommendations i use the recommendations they worked everything is fine. The app is not cheap but they do support it. I am very satisfied.

A must app. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!!! Currently I'm taking my prerequisites ftom anatomy and physiology and this app is really helping me a lot! I'm a visual learner. Thank you for the developers of this app!

Craniosacral therapist utilized it often. It’s so nice to be able to pull it out when I’m with a client to double check where they’re feeling the pain so that they can visualize what’s happening in that body part and as I work with them they can visualize the healing and the movement taking place.

This is AMAZING!. This app is INSANE!! Technology is crazy, the fact that I can get all of this information from one source is so helpful! I’m a premed undergrad student so I’m trying to expand my knowledge as much as I can, and this app really helps!! Every little detail is on here and it’s free! Thank you so much!!!!!

I love this app!. I am a massive fan. It is easy, simple and has relatively few bugs. As soon as you can move the limbs, and see everything in both sexes, it would be perfect.

Lost content. Hello, I’ve owned the full app for a couple years now, but today when I logged in I lost all the access to the body models. I did not purchase the subscription because I owned the basic app with the full human body and organs, but somehow now I don’t have access to any of that? Can you explain why I lost access to the content I purchased? And yes I did restore purchase. Thank you.

Amazing App for the Visual Learner. I always fall back to this app when I need to explain a complex injury to my student-athlete. It acts as a supplemental aid for them to visually see what structures are involved in their injury and what is needed to be strengthened. Thank you Complete Anatomy!!
