Locked out again. In the past I have paid with prepaid visa gift cards and it’s been fine. Now suddenly I can’t. Over the past 48 hours, I have tried to order a total of 5 times and each time instacart has locked my account “because of suspicious activity”. I have done all the verification steps and even spoken with customer service reps who unlock my account, apologize for the inconvenience, and tell me my account should work now. I then go to order and have it all happen all over again. I’ve explained that I’m trying to use a gift card. I have submitted photo evidence of my ID and gift card together. But I still can’t use it. This is a HUGE oversight on instacart’s part. We have RSV and are stuck at home and can’t get groceries in person. This is beyond frustrating - especially since I have been in touch with customer service reps and explained the situation, so they know I am trying to use a gift card. Very frustrated and dissatisfied with the app and business.

Employees need to read instructions. Most of the time I get my deliveries from Publix delivery with Instacart I have no problems lately though ( like the past 6-7 deliveries ) most of the employees have not been reading the instructions, like on meats or other items like where it says instructions they don’t read them, so what’s the point in writing them down? and I think that should be addressed because when people order specific things I mean you should at least try to get the closest that you can to what they ordered and I feel like the employees need to pay a little more attention to what the customers want instead of just rushing through it

Push notifications stopped entirely. In the last two weeks, the app stopped sending push notifications regarding the orders that were placed. Even when the shopper tried sending messages about the shopping, the notification was never sent. I didn’t know the shopping had been done until the groceries were outside my house. This is problematic because we ended up with refunds on things we could have used replacements instead. Other issues is that it is not always clear if you are ordering 1 count or 1lb of something. The other major problem with the app is that for curb side pick up, if the app tells you to go inside to get your own groceries (which not sure why that happened), there’s no way on the app to scan the groceries. So even though the app tells you no one is available to deliver your groceries, you can’t go inside to get them yourself because you can’t scan them out to finalize the order on your app. I stopped trying curb side pick up after running into that issue twice a few months ago.

Worst InstaCart Deliverer Ever. This delivery person should be called brainFart not InstaCart I ordered 5 items, Do yourself a favor, you never know when you’re going to get a lazy, unprofessional delivery person. DON’T EVER OFFER THE TIP IN ADVANCE, wait to see the quality of service prior to tipping. In this case if the delivery person had simply sent a text on the app stating they were unable to find 7 of 11 items ordered I would have told them to cancel. However their pea brain didn’t find that necessary and now we find ourselves with this MESS! The one positive thing I will say is Instacart support supplied me with a refund as when they looked into the matter they realized I was completely in the right and their delivery person was completely in the wrong.

Expensive and dangerous. I had hurt my foot so decided to give this a try. I was upset with my first order because as stated on the app I payed higher prices to cover the service but they then charged a $9 service fee on top which is outrageous. They also messed up and charged me for both items with bogo deals. They fixed the pricing error but the rest they explained was they were a business...this was double charging. I decided to try one more time before my trail period ended and that charge is $149 for the year. The person that showed up at my door was not who they said it was going to be on the app. A person who did not work for them showed up at my residence. The solution? They offered me a $10 credit towards my next purchase. Hardly comforting after putting my safety at risk. Also useless considering I will never use this again!

Horrible customer service. I’ve been using this app forever, mistakes happen no problem. But the complete lack of customer service is ridiculous. I not only had an entire bag of groceries missing, I got someone else bag, and got an email saying someone would contact me shortly... no one connected me for days. I tried calling the number just rings and rings. I finally sent an email, finally got a response saying they needed more information? Um, ok? May 10th 31 items, 3:16pm delivery. I made the list of missing items the day of but have no access to that information now days later... and then no response 2 days pass and I sent another email!! I don’t understand how I got someone else’s bag of groceries I’m missing a complete bag of groceries and no refund no email... really? I won’t be using this service anymore. Extremely disappointed.

Love this app!. We’ve been using other delivery for years and the pricing seemed right until we discovered Publix Instacart. Not only do they give you a more accessible experience, but you’re able to speak directly to your shopper from the store about your order. They send photos of other options if a product is out of stock and it’s simple to add last minute items. Much faster, much easier and much CHEAPER. Definitely using this delivery service from now on! **the chats do lag every now and then but refreshing the app usually works it out.

One of the worst mobile ordering apps. Instacart Publix is one of the worst mobile ordering apps I use. Inventory is never accurate. The search is horrible. You could search “Publix Greek yogurt” and you won’t find it until you scroll all the way down and ask it to load more. They also recently introduced six sponsored items for every search, which means you’re going to scroll down twice past a bunch of irrelevant items before you even get what you’re looking for. Search “cheddar cheese” and you’ll be presented with sponsored items for all other kinds of cheese, but most definitely not the one you searched for. The chat doesn’t update without refreshing the page (and sometimes restarting the whole app is necessary). The app reports you get to the store well before you actually arrive. You also can’t change your car color/type until it thinks you arrive, which often confuses the employees. Everyone else (Target, Sam’s, DoorDash) has this figured out but Instacart must have some of the worst leadership or developers or Publix is an awful partner.

Mostly a good app. When a shopper makes a substitute on the last item, you don’t get any response time to approve or have the item refunded. As soon as the last item is shopped, I get a check out message and no opportunity to approve or request a different item when the last item isn’t what you ordered. Frustrating. Also, if you want to request a special item, there is no easy way that I have found to do that. You have to scroll endlessly to get to the place to request a special item. Another issue is if you put any special notes with an item in the order, it stays with that item everytime you order it. That’s another frustration in my opinion.

Lots of changes/ missing items. I can never trust that the items I choose will actually be available. My order tonight had 6 “changes”. Two of those were for a recipe that didn’t allow for changes, so I had to delete the other ingredients in the recipe after the shopper had already gotten those items. It’s never odd items either. One time they were completely out of bananas. Another time I had friends over and one of them required a gluten free item. It was canceled and no alternative was offered. This time it was cilantro, ice cream, green onions, almond butter, raspberries. The reason I use this service is so I don’t have to deal with the hassles of shopping, but I find I have to constantly watch my phone because of all the changes.

Couple kinks in the process. If an item is not available, you’d think it wouldn’t be offered. The app doesn’t seem to be in sync with the stock. And the prices are not the same as in the store. So you’re not only paying a delivery fee and a service fee and a gratuity but you’re also paying more per item. The app also says that The service fee is 5%, but it is charging me 10%. I was told to just call the next day and get it refunded. Plus when you enter the option of a 20% gratuity, when the shopper can’t buy the item because it is not in stock, then my total is lower, But the original 20% gratuity is the same. Some problems need to be figured out… It’s a great service to have when you really need it though. I can’t often get out because of health issues. So this is really really convenient for me and I do greatly appreciate it.

App generally works well…. From a tech side the app seems to work well but it would be nice to be able to delete things we will never order again. Also- items that the app shows with plenty in stock are FREQUENTLY reported as out of stock by the instacart shopper. Very disappointing. If they’re choosing between several stores to shop, it would be nice to be able to mark one or two items as a MUST HAVE so that a shopper where that item is in stock will shop the item. It’s not fair when I make a tip based on a high total and then the one thing I need isn’t available when it showed plenty were in stock in the app. I’ll never reduce the tip because I feel that’s not fair to the shopper. Thanks for the convenience of having orders delivered. Keep up the good work!!

Charged for forgotten items/poor customer service. The ease of use of the app is great, but the shopper that was tasked for my order did not do well. There were 5 items that were forgotten (probably due to unavailability) but I was still charged for the items. Instead of refunding me the money, they added it to my account as a credit which forced me to use their service again. I opted for pick up because I did not want to pay 7.99 for delivery fee- which goes against the social distancing recommended during Covid outbreak. I should have been alerted that the items were not at the store and the items removed from my list not charged for items that I would never received. I’m very disappointed with publix. I’m aware of the stress during these times but this is just laziness.

Unreliable. I’ve used Publix delivery app a few times. I would say 85-90% of the time, something is wrong. Either a missing item, someone else’s item thrown in your bags, or most recently, I never received my order. I am sick with a cold and wanted to be responsible by not going to the store and spreading germs, so I placed my order. It had medicine, soup, and general groceries. I placed it around 5pm and it was supposed to arrive just after 7p. The shopper started, but halfway through stopped. At around 7:20p I messaged to see if there was an issue. She apparently had a problem and contacted help center, but never heard back. I was never updated. I had to reach out to Publix and ask them to cancel it. This was not resolved until 7:50p. Lesson learned. Just shop for yourself and wear a mask.

Beware!!!!. When I logged into Publix and needed my groceries delivered, I was transferred to Instacart. The woman that did the shopping for me was good and we were even able to message each other if she picked a substitute I did not care for. (Although some items were not available, there are substitutes.) here’s the problem: once my groceries were delivered, I received an urgent message from my bank blocking a transaction in the San Francisco area. Luckily my bank did not let a transaction go through, especially since I shopped in Miami. The headquarters for Instacart is in San Francisco. I immediately cancelled my card, deleted the Instacart app from my phone and contacted them to let them know what happened and because I deleted my account online, the woman I spoke to said they were not able to help me. She said that my account was probably hacked but couldn’t be sure. Unless hackers are monitoring Instacart continuously and since headquarters for Instacart is in San Francisco, I don’t know what happened except that my bank prevented any transactions going through. All Instacart could provide me with was an “I’m sorry”. I will not use this company ever again and I thank god that my bank has a number of preventative actions in place to help me. If you use this company to purchase anything, you might be on the hook to pay for things that you did not buy….. Beware!!!!!

Horrible Customer Service & Inflated Pricing. My order was completely messed up. I received some items I did not order, and did not get some items the app indicated I did. I had a paper receipt which showed a $30 difference in the totals. Apparently some of the prices online do not match what the price at the store. Their representative made it seem like I was lying about my issue. I also had to send pictures of the receipt and the items I received, for some dumb reason. I felt like I was dealing with an insurance rep rather than customer service. Do they get paid to reject claims or to resolve issues? It was very difficult to discuss these issues via chat (it took hours) so I asked for a phone number but was given one that was not working. In the end, I don't feel I got the appropriate refund back. I will never use this services again.

Worthwhile if you can’t get to the store. Marks ups on items for the service definitely add up and then with a tip on top of that can make this an expensive option. It has been worthwhile during this time of social distancing, but not a service I would use frequently going forward. Some shoppers are great at communication while picking out your items, but more than a few have been less than stellar such as charging for items not delivered, charging for incorrect items and in some cases not even buying the correct item. It can be frustrating if you are depending on an ingredient. On a positive note the service has quickly refunded me in the form of a credit for these items.

WORST SERVICE EVER. I’m not sure if it’s the works or the customer service, but they screwed up my order 3 WHOLE TIMES. Like legit, the second one was a repeat of the first after the worker left it at the completely wrong address, then I get a redelivery and the redelivery forgot a whole bag worth $50 of stuff, and then when I said “forget this” and decided to call back and just get my money back and be done I get a rude woman with an accent so thick it’s impossible to understand and she’s all but basically accusing me that I’m stealing from them and almost had to argue with her for my money back for food I never received. So yeah needless to say I won’t ever be using this again. I understand mistakes happen (sadly more than twice on the same darn thing) but it was the woman who argued with me and all but accused me of stealing that did it for me. I honestly couldn’t delete the app and leave this review any faster.

Inventory issues. I haven’t had the time to actually attempt to use their service because their inventory compared to the publix website is so poor. The only sliced bread you can get is from the publix bakery no matter how I type in or go through the different categories (sliced bread for instance). When I do type in the brand of bread I desire which everyone in FL carries I get beef jerky. They have request field, but if I had to do that for every item it defeats the main purpose of using the service. The publix app/website has the item, and happily provides the aisle number. Other delivery/curbside apps also happily provide this item, which is why I’m going to use them over this one. If you’re looking for something specific like bakery items publix has (like cannolis) or laundry detergents then this is your app. If you’re looking for something else that everybody carries until they make some serious upgrades you better look elsewhere.

Lost the group cart feature. Update. Now they’ve lost or deleted the group cart feature which was the best feature outside of being able to add instructions for certain items. You had a good thing going and I don’t know who screwed this up but they need to fix it. App is continually developing New weird bugs. It’s really annoying. Current issues include communication with the shopper not appearing in the chat box portion of the app if they send a photo all text disappears from the chat portion of the app. Also if you try to switch to text as your preferred method of calm communication once they close out your order, the app decides to then display an alert your phone for every message you take back-and-forth despite the order being delivered and on my kitchen counter my phone is blowing up with every text we made.

Instacart has really gone downhill. I have been an avid user of the Publix curbside since Covid, and was very pleased for quite a while. However, more recently I have had several separate issues with instacart and have had to go behind them and re-shop my order which defeats the purpose of ordering online. I have decided I will not be using their service anymore. Publix has been great to try to make up for the poor instacart shopping service, so I credit Publix for doing what they can to help me in these instances that I have had problems. It seems that the instacart shoppers are not really accountable to anyone. I hope that Publix will be able to continue this service using their own employees in house. Until then I will do my own shopping or use another shopping service.

Great until the item isn’t available. Convenient and occasionally super fast but I once checked the map during delivery to see how close they were and I watched the driver stay in the same place on a road that was opposite the direction of the store and my home for over ten minutes. Did he go home for a while before bring my stuff? I don’t know but usually I get a better person. My only complaint about the app is I hate that I choose a replacement ahead of time and the shopper doesn’t use that information. I constantly have to check if I need to tell them the replacement again. And if the replacement isn’t available you get a refund instead of an opportunity to replace again.

Ok needs some improvements. The app categories are not organized well. There should be a category for BOGO and organic items. Also BOGO only works in the app when you buy the exact same item.. not like in the store where you can mix flavors for the BOGO etc. You also can’t save items for easy access next time. You also pick the time at the end which I don’t like, i’de prefer it to be at the start. Also, there should be something to indicate them to substitute items (last week my item was out, they couldn’t get ahold of me and then I didn’t get my item), They should model the app to be like the Walmart grocery pickup app which is really easy and user friendly. I don’t mind paying more for the food to get Publix quality. I’ll keep using the app for now but am looking forward to updates.

Great app. Great service.. This is the best delivery app I’ve seen. I haven’t been out since April so watching my items being shopped and texting with my shopper gives me some outside contact and I can shop along with them. Most of my shoppers have been very nice and chatty thru the app. I always raise their tip even if they leave the groceries on the front porch instead of the backyard table. The virtual human interaction is what makes this app better than WalMart in my opinion. This service also eased tensions when my son had to get a second job after his hours were cut so he can’t come by weekly or during normal shopping hours. Now we can just visit in the backyard 🥰

Worst service. I was waiting on my delivery. It said Carlito checked out and my order will arrive soon. 45 minutes later no food. I received a text that instacart will be calling. They called instantly. I hit the decline button by accident. I called the number instantly. While on the phone I get a text that my order was canceled and I will get a refund in 5-10 days. I then speak to a lady who tells me the reason the order was canceled was they were unable to reach me. I said “ you texted me, I hit decline by accident, I call immediately and your telling me you couldn’t reach me”. I told her waiting 5-10 days for my money is unacceptable. I was told “I can offer free delivery next time.” I replied “No thank you, there will be no next time.” This is the worst service and customer service ever.

Terrible Delivery Service. I ordered my wife lunch from Publix and made all the choices for alternatives or refunds if the items weren’t available. The main course for lunch was a cranberry chicken salad, the delivery guy didn’t substitute it if unavailable so a few sides minus main course was getting delivered. I tracked him to the location in the app and told my wife it was there then POOF order cancelled AT THE LOCATION. Apparently I needed to hold his hand up the stairs because I missed a toll free number call to my cell that looked like SPAM with no voicemail message left. Ordered lunch via Doordash and it was simple fast and on time. Later I get an email that said I’m getting charged $15 because I wasn’t available to take the call! I’ll dispute that charge with my bank and deleted the app. I love Publix but not this service, the store has nothing to do with and can’t help. Save your money and time - don’t bother with this app!

Poor Customer Service. Rude and condescending. My brother tried to use this service and his order got dropped not once but twice. When he called to have the issue resolved and possibly be refunded, he spoke to a person named Jason who thought it appropriate to belittle my brother while he was frustrated by calling him “bud” and “buddy” and told him- the wronged customer- to “keep it professional”. My brother called again after dealing with Jason to speak to a supervisor, and while speaking with her she started laughing at him. Unbelievably bad customer service, use with caution. If your shopper decides they don’t want to complete the order, you won’t be told why and will have to deal with rude incompetence to have the possibility of getting your money back. I’m surprised and a bit saddened that Publix is associated with them; Publix usually has such good customer service.

This Service Saves Me!. I’m disabled, and my mother is elderly and disabled. Oftentimes if I am in a flare up, or just not particularly feeling well that day, but need groceries, this service has been a GODSEND. I love that the shoppers keep communication with me, like if something is out of stock, and I always know exactly what’s going on, and when I will get my order. I’ve had bad experiences with other big blue-colored chain stores we won’t mention, where there’s no communication and you basically get what you get, and you never know if you WON’T get something that you really need, until it gets there. Very frustrating. So now I stick with Publix. Thank you so much for being such a life-saver!

Convenient but atrocious cust svc. I love the idea of ordering groceries for delivery and this app handles the basics just fine. But one of the features I would like to enjoy is the ability to place an order for delivery several hours later. I do this while at work and want things delivered at night. The app lets you do this but every single time - not just sometimes, every single time - I do so the delivery comes early. Sometimes I’m home for this but not always, and if you’re not home they cancel the order. When I called to complain both the cust svc rep and his supervisor said they didn’t know how to fix, explained how this wasn’t really a cust svc issue and tried to explain that their algorithm for giving orders to drivers probably was the issue. i asked a simple question - how do we make sure this doesn’t happen next time? They couldn’t answer it.

Not a friendly app. I placed a pick up order around 8am for a 11am pick up. Soon after I received this text “ We're sorry for the inconvenience, but your Publix order is running late because no shopper is currently available. We'll update you as soon as your order is ready for pickup.” That’s fine and understandable. However, I should be able to cancel if the order will not be ready by 11am. My husband was leaving out of town by 11:30am and I didn’t have a car for the weekend. I tried to delete the order but there was not option for it. After several attempts, I decided to order cases of water at the minimum requirement for a later pick up date since I couldn’t delete the order but I wasn’t able to change the pickup date. I’m going to have cases of water sitting at Publix over the weekend and I honestly don’t trust that I won’t be charged for the delay. This is my first and last order with Publix. I’ll go back to Wal-Mart.

Customer Service at it’s best. As a Caregiver during this pandemic, it’s not always easy to run out and pickup groceries for our loved ones. Placing a groceries list in someone else’s hands at times can be challenging. I had the best experience with my shopping today! She was from minute she received my order, texted me and asked if I had any special requests. She was texting me during the entire shopping list, I felt I was there selecting my own items and making changes together!! At the end of the shopping list, she once again asked if I had any instructions on the delivery. Wow, A1 C/S!!

Stole $100 and did not care to fix the error. I live in SW Florida where hurricane Ian came and destroyed everything. I barely have any more and what little I did have I was trying to use for food as we have no electricity or water right now 5 days after the hurricane. When I was placing the order I didn’t realize a small little box was checked automatically for an instacart + year subscription. I never checked the box but to scam and take advantage they automatically check it for unsuspecting people. Now my account is overdrafted and I can’t get groceries and instead of giving my credits or sending it back instantly I was told anywhere from 24 hours to 10 business days. It’s such a horrible feeling having no money as it is but now I have an overdraft fee and can’t get food for awhile. Please pray for us here in sw Florida. Do not use this app if anything use Walmart I regret using this service. It has taken what little I have left and even extra with the overdraft fees.

Who do they hire at instacart?. ***** NOTE: When something is inevitably missing DO NOT click on the option to CREDIT ACCOUNT!! They give you back the money as a credit and you need to make a MINIMUM purchase of $35 to use it. So absolutely stupid if you don't make big purchase orders. Click the option to credit back on the card payment you used!! It’s so disheartening how every other order i place is almost always missing something. This is a great service, and its so convenient, but please take my warning if you have an important pick up examples like birthday dinners, or special meals you’re making, or things you NEED, DO NOT USE THIS!!!!!!!!! Because even if they FORGET something, as in you check your bags before you leave and realize something is forgotten, publix cannot do anything about it as its INSTACARTS fault. Publix will tell you to contact instacart. So this is great if you’re doing SMALL orders, and you dont mind if one or two things is missing. I also had a $100+ order stolen! The instacart person said they delivered it and they drove off with all my groceries. Learned my lesson there for sure, never did delivery again. I’ve moved about 4 times in the past 2 years and its not a location issue either. I experience missing items everywhere i’ve lived. So just be prepared if things are missing. !!

Search engine?. The app gets some groceries out of my dreams and into my car which is what’s most important. However, the search engine could be improved considerably. E.g., type in “fat-free milk” and it may list yogurt, sour cream, almond milk & a host of other products before any brand of fat free milk. And the different brands of fat free milk will not be grouped together when you finally get to any fat free milks. I’m not 100% sure it’s not by design: virtual version of intentional distraction to get you to buy something not on your list. Since I plan meals out carefully accordingly to calories, macros & nutrients needed & buy & prepare so as to waste very, very little I stick 100% to my list. So this thwarting is 100% inconvenient and 0% helpful.

First and last time. I placed an order on here for the first time at 6:55 pm told my order would be delivered 7:55-8:55. A little later got an email saying the order was delayed 9:30-10 ok I’m not usually up this late but I’ll stay up and wait the hold is already on my card so wait it out right? 10:30 rolls around I call and they tell me they are still looking for a shopper in my area. I said the store is closed! They said well we can give you free delivery on your next order and have this order to you at 10:30 tomorrow morning. I was getting stuff to make breakfast for my family so that’s not an option. I had them cancel my order and I will go there myself at 7 am when they open! If I had known this from the beginning I would’ve just canceled and went before the stores closed. Not to mention the hold for $170 is now on my card for 3 business days! Will tell everyone I know not to use this.

4% added service fee on every order. I enjoy Publix delivery immensely because I love their products and I’m not able to get my own groceries due to physical limitations; however, I am very disappointed in the 4% service fee Instacart has added to each grocery order placed now that it says covers background checks and other costs to ensure they have the best employees possible to serve our needs. Instacart has already increased their monthly fees at least once and I am furious about this charge, especially since I’m on a fixed income as a senior citizens. I may have to seek out another delivery service or go somewhere to shop where there is no charge at all even I do have to carry my own groceries inside.

Great System when it doesn’t lock your account for double charging!!. My bank account has been locked. When you place an order, a “hold” amount is placed on your bank account for what it “might be,” which is perfectly understandable. After the order has been picked up/delivered, the actual amount hits the account and there is no “hold”. It worked great until this time. My bank has locked my account until this HOPEFULLY resolves itself when the hold amount is taken away when things switch from “Pending”. I called Customer Service and their response was limited to a, “cross your fingers,” but they will “escalate” it if/when both charges go through. Until this happens, however, I have access to nothing. When the system works, it’s awesome! When it doesn’t, it’s going to ruin many, many days.

Bagging advice/delivery notice. Everything was great, the only complaints I have are the bagging decisions. I believe that food items should not be bagged with chemical items (bath soap, dishwasher pods, hand soap) I would recommend separating those types of items. Also, just giving a courtesy knock on the door that you dropped the groceries. I live in a gated community and usually get a call from the gate to let me know but in this case I did not and so with working and not getting notification from the app my groceries were sitting at the door for 10 minutes and that doesn’t do well with cold items. Just some feedback. Otherwise a fine job.

I LOVE Publix but HATE Instacart!. Shopped at Publix for decades and there’s honestly no better produce or meat around. Recently I’ve experienced problems with doing my own shopping as I’m getting up in years. Thought things were fine until the Instacart app just decided not to work…wouldn’t process my debit or credit cards. I was being successfully billed for the monthly membership, but couldn’t successfully place an order. Many attempts were made to resolve the problem, many calls to Instacart over 2- 1/2 months. Those customer service reps are horrible; the rote reply is “our team will determine the problem and contact you within 24 hours.” I never received one single response to being unable to place an order. After five separate attempts to place an order, my last call to them was to cancel my Instacart account and thereby canceling Publix. I miss Publix, so I’ll try again with a new account. Walmart is pretty good now, but wow I miss the Publix quality.

Let me share my experience of getting no groceries. I placed an order today - about $80 in groceries. While I was pleasantly surprised with the fee structure and ordering process - that’s about where my approval stopped with this. As my order delivery time approached, I got an email telling me that my order is delayed. The new estimate time was sent. That time came and passed. I waited 30 min after the new estimated delivery time and my order said it was still in the store . I finally called customer service - and the customer service rep apologized and offered me a free delivery on my next order. When I explained to her that offering me a discount if I should choose to spend more money with them doesn’t rectify the situation. I asked her to go ahead and refund my order since she couldn’t give me an estimate on delivery and had no details on the status of my order. The net result was 3 hours later - no food and waiting 7 days for the credit back to my card. This will be the first and last time I order with them. Next time I’ll just drive to Publix and save myself the wasted time.

Items are marked up in app. I made my first order and when reviewing I realized that I was overcharged $10 even when considering all service, delivery and tip fees. The agent on the chat told me that the reason was because there is a policy that the retailer (in this case Publix) can mark up the prices of individual items in the app. Meaning that although you pay for a service, delivery and a tip, the prices on the app are marked up but you won’t know until you look at the regular receipt upon delivery. You would have to do an item by item comparison between the instacart and store receipt to see which items have been sold to you at a higher price. My biggest problem with this mark up policy is that IT IS NOT TRANSPARENT! You would think that a service fee would take care of this or that you would know which items are priced differently than store prices.

Horrible Experience!. Publix is fantastic, Instacart is horrible. My order said it was delivered nearly an hour before it showed up. It just gets worse! While I was on the phone with a Instacart asking about why my order said it is delivered but not at my home, Instacart was calling me, the rep said my driver can’t find my home they put me on a three way call where the driver proceeded to say she ran out of gas and was “having some guy that stay with me” deliver my groceries, I had to tell the Instacart rep that some stranger is not coming to my home and I refused the delivery, he acting surprised. The response was they’d take that driver off my account, but she’s still on everyone else’s. Two weeks later I received my over $200 back on my card. I deleted the app and will not use Publix delivery until they replace the dangerous, unsafe, services of Instacart with a more reputable company.

Be careful!. They show you buy one get one free items and let you place them in your cart and even pay. Once your shopper is at the store they will message you and tell you that these items are not available and they preselect replacement options for you. Feels like they lure you in with false advertisement just to get you to buy groceries. You also have to pay delivery fees and pay driver tips as well. Not to mention that in the writing it shows you that prices are higher on the app than in store to cover costs for insta cart!!!! Use caution will never order like this again. How do we know the people in the store are sanitizing their hands while handling your groceries. Also they charged me about 30% more money to cover any issues but yet it takes them up to 7 days to refund left over balance??? Where is my interest for borrowing my money??

Super Easy Convenient! Confused. First time using this wonderful service! Thank you Publix Instacart! Although prices are very high in comparison to competition the conveniences worth it. However extremely confused at the end of the purchase when it comes to substitutions. I understand not all products might be in stock but there must be some 2022 Technical Integration improvements!! The App (Publix) knows the Store Location and Delivery address and thus Very well know their inventory as it’s all electronically maintained these days. The App Product list should be based on available inventory. The substitution list should be minimal, not 85% in my case…but I guess that would cut back on Publix revenue if they didn’t capture the sale on an unavailable item… Definitely Not looking out for the customer in this case!! Thanks for alway accepting our hard earned money!! -penniless consumer

Loyal shopper at first, now I’ll never be back. This has always been a hit or miss for me, sometimes I didn’t get my order and would get someone else’s, but it was always rapidly fixed. Yesterday however I place an order at 5pm for a 7pm pickup. At 5:40pm the shopper starts shopping. I converse with the shopper and then suddenly no word again. 15/33 items are shopped and the shopper is ‘still shopping’ from 6pm to 10am the next day. No word from Instacart, obviously that information is false, and in the morning I contact them again after trying all evening. The customer service was a mess, they weren’t understanding me and it was a struggle to get my order canceled. At one point they told me she’s still shopping. Since…6pm last night? Doesn’t make any sense. I hate to be done with them, they’ve always been great, but that left a sour taste in my mouth.

Braindead shoppers and useless support. I placed a simple order for a bag of potatoes and one other item. I received a notification that the potatoes were out of stock and, somehow, there was “no acceptable replacement.” I found it very unlikely that the entire store would be out of potatoes. I went to select a replacement and sure enough there were plenty of other kinds of potatoes available. Before I could select a replacement, I was informed that the shopper had already checked out and I could no longer select a replacement. This ultimately resulted in me driving to the store for them myself, the very thing I was trying to avoid by using this app. I reached out to customer service multiple times, but neither of the “people “ I connected with seemed to even comprehend the problem or offer any kind of meaningful solution. I am not certain they can even read English. My experience with this app, my very first time using it, has been beyond terrible and I highly recommend you to use another service for grocery delivery.

Poor Experience. Rylan substituted a Fat Free Syrup for the one I requested which was not fat free. Fortunately, I was on the app while shopping started and caught the error. I asked this shopper to ask someone in the back to determine if they had any Fairlife 2% but gave an alternative if none were found and the shopper proceeded to substitute stating no one was around. I said I would call the store and have them check and the shopper proceeded to substitute another item without my approval and checked out. I called and the Fairlife 2 % was in the back. Unfortunately, this shopper checked out knowing I was calling on the milk and thus my preferred item could not be purchased. I wish there was an option to take back my tip of $5. My impression of this shopper is shopping as fast as possible in order to maximize profitability without concern for the customer.

Crap App. Being “sheltered in place” in Atlanta due to the coronavirus, I decided to try this app and order online. I placed my order on a Sunday and got a confirmation of a pickup time window on the following Wednesday (fine, I know they’re very busy in these trying times) at the closest Publix. I showed up in the designated curbside parking near the end of the pickup window, called into the store and was told they had no record of my order. A very nice customer service person came out and I showed him the confirmation email, and he said I was at the correct store, correct time and that, yes, I had ordered ... BUT BUT BUT, some “third party” (i.e., not Publix itself) handled and processed the orders and they had not gotten it at the store, so no items were pulled for me. I was told to call the third party, which I did ... and the wait time was 69 MINUTES ... riiiiight ... I did nothing wrong, just wanted groceries, and I have to wait there for another hour ... I don’t think so ... I then cancelled the order ... THIS IS A TERRIBLE APP ... SHAME ON PUBLIX AND WHOEVER THE HECK THE MYSTERIOUS “THIRD PARTY” IS

Shame. Went to my North Mt Pleasant store to pick up my order, as I do weekly. I order deli sandwiches, they seem to take a long time otherwise. I submitted on the app that I was at the store, ironically at the register next to the pick up area. I asked this nice man if he was picking up my order, he was a special needs adult, very nice and helpful. This young kid comes up to him and says “give me the computer!” And proceeds to grab it from him. I asked him why he did that? He said someone else is waiting for 20 minutes and he needed to take care of it. I said, he is working on my order and you can have it when he is done. The kid starts yelling at me, and asks if he should give it back to him. I said, actually yes he should. He shoves it in his chest and storms off, only to have this woman start yelling at me. She said she has been waiting an hour for her order. She then says, I am so sick of you Mt Pleasant people…first, I am thrilled she called me a Mt Pleasant person, since I have been here three years and secondly, no one can answer the question as to why her order was more important than mine and why he would treat a co worker like that. I could not believe what happened, I hope this bully is fired and the lady goes back to where she came from.

This app is good but needs improvements ASAP.. The app worked well until the groceries were delivered. Then a prompt to write a shopper’s evaluation locked me in and would not let go back to double check my list of purchases. It’s asking me to tell it if all the items were found but would not let me go back to check and compare with the initial order. So I’m being forced to choose before I can check. Maybe with a small purchased of a few items this wouldn’t be a problem. However if you had a big list what do you do?Further I was happy with my shopper’s job and wanted to give her credit but after taking the time to write a narrative praising her performance I got stuck in the “write narrative “ section and couldn’t go forward or back or clear. I got out of the app and came back in only to find my page frozen in the same location. No save button or next button etc. All else went well.

Needs delivery improvement. I downloaded this app and have used it only twice. The first time they just forgot to deliver the 32 nestle water bottles. The second time, they brought me Aquafina 24x water bottles when the order says 32 nestle water pack. On the bright side, they refund you for mistakes which I am satisfied with, but the service needs to improve.

Could be better. Too often items out of stock

Wrong contry service. This is for US only

Horrible even with Mgr. help in store. Horrible app with terrible user interface. First off, it came up looking like the Publix app. Only a small carrot on icon shows it’s different- it’s really Instacart for Publix. There’s no way to schedule your order time, it chooses for you. It appears to allow you to modify, but only allows “add items”. Also there is no way to cancel the order even if it is immediately after and before an Instacart shopper is assigned. It says to look for the chat bubble but it is not where directions state it is. In fact, I’ve not found it at all. Finally had to call the toll free phone number store manager gave me to cancel it. Of course it will be up to 7 days for refund. Total crap. Use the “ Publix” app instead.

Don’t.. A total scam. The prices listed on the app are way more than many of the prices in the store. My delivery person accidentally left the receipt in one of the bags. It was $99. They charged me $147. When I inquired and asked if I could get the difference back they said sometimes the prices on the app are different than prices in store so there was nothing they could do. I suspect this is a common practice that must make them a ton of money but if I had just gone in the store, I could’ve spent $50 on food. I also tipped $20 and if something you ordered isn’t available, the person just grabs whatever they deem to be an acceptable replacement. A lot of the time it’s not even in the same ballpark in terms of what you actually ordered.

Your app is impossible to use. The first time I used the app I was very pleased. My shopper did an excellent job, got exactly what I asked for with two exceptions and the substitutes were fine. I wished I’d tipped him more since he risked his health. My dissatisfaction is caused by the difficulties I’ve experienced trying to navigate your website. When I tried to delete items from my list for my next order, I couldn’t. The list showing pictures of my order sometimes only showed addition signs. Sometimes it showed subtraction signs too. But they didn’t work. I found instructions that told me to first click the word at the top right of the screen but there were no words. I don’t want to order the same things over and over. Duh. So how do I clear my list.

Shoppers not always accurate. I have used this service a few times when I have been too sick to shop in person and I appreciate being able to still get groceries however some of the substitutions are very odd and not substitutions at all it does feel as if the shoppers are rushing and not really reading the list or understanding what the products are for instance I had ordered vegan chick’n tenders and the were replaced with meat chicken tenders with veggies in them I don’t eat meat I shall give them away if I can

IT ATTENTION NECESSARY App problem ongoing. When you send a message after delivery is complete to rate your shopper it auto closes after you select 1 star - i have to go and select my order then select rating and chose a second star and it auto closes then select rate again to select a third star and it auto closes and I have to select rate again and continue repeating until I reach all possible stars. This has been ongoing for quite some time so if you are seeing increased 1 star ratings I am sure that is why.

Very satisfied. It was the first time and surely not my last time. My cherries was the sweetest ones and she picked up cheaper items than what I had elected which was good, showing better judgment. I am glad Publix texted me the period of time of delivery even when it was a bit late which is understandable. Not all things were on the Publix’s Appt. but on my special request input Mary was able to get the items I needed and if needed could send a photo request of the item on the appt. Mary was very excellent with my order. Bravo!

Convenience!. Being elderly and having spent lots of time in hospitals and rehab, I am not able to do my own shopping at present! The instacart gives good opportunity to look at each item before purchasing, and you can edit and revise your list up until the time they are actually starting to shop for you!! A great convenience for those of us who need it for whatever reason! I now know more younger people who use this service because it is a great timesaver for them!!

Convenient during these times. I think people aren’t paying attention to instructions and options reading reviews. You can choose the option of no substitutes for items on your list, which of course means you may not get this item at all in any form. You can also follow along on list as your shopper shops and actually text with person, saying yeah or nay or whatever. I think it’s a well designed program and certainly gives a customer a lot of control over the shopping trip. Of course you hope for a good shopper and so far everything has gone smoothly with the ones I’ve had.

Just watch your fees. Gripe: Bought 60 worth of groceries and only after checkout am told I was temp authed for 90 and will not be adjusted for up to 7 days. No mention while in the ordering process. I like transparency, even though I will get the money released. Non gripe: convenient! I just gave birth to twins and with two brand new babies getting out to shop would be way too exhausting just yet. In some situations having a delivery service for things like food and household items is just priceless and so helpful.

First delivery order. Haven’t felt well enough to drive this week. Thought I’d try delivery by Instacart. Awesome first experience. Selections of fruit and produce were as meticulous as I would have chosen. Everything bagged nicely. Delivery an hour earlier than expected. I failed to select a substitution for one item and ended up with a similar but significantly less quantity than I ordered. I just need to be more thorough in the order process. I’m in the free trial period but for a little less than $2 a week for the annual fee, I’d spend that in gas running back and forth.

THE WORSE!!. This was literally the worse ever. If ic an give this no stars I would. I’m not the type of person to leave reviews but this was so bad I had to make one to advise you not to use this. I ordered a sub that said it would take 2 hours to get here ! I thought wow that’s a long wait but no matter they’re usually busy. 3 hours go by and nothing ! 30 mins after the shopper asked me what bread did I wanted when I already wrote on the instructions that I wanted white so I didn’t reply hoping they will figure it out. Another 20 mins later , frustrated I asked what was taking so long and he replied you never told me what bread !? They have my phone number and never thought to call if they really didn’t know ? So almost 4 hours later ? Poor customer service for almost double the price. Never again

Publix associate that came out to car missed items. The Publix associate that came out to my car must not have even bothered to count the amount of bags I was supposed to have or to look for my bags that were in the freezer or for my pack of water. Although Instacart is refunding my money (in 5 - 7 days) for these missing bags, I am now out of these items. I’m currently under quarantine, so I thought this would be a better option. Wrong! Lesson learned: never leave the parking lot without double checking to see if the Publix associate gave you all of the items you paid (a premium price) for. That said, 5 stars to the Instacart shopper who did a fine job.

needs work!. Someone send me the $10 free coupon and decided to give it a try. here are the few challenges: 1) my email already existed and when “resetting password” it asked me to re-sign up. 2)during check out a pop up alert me that my phone was invalid - well it was not set up although i had to entered it in step 1 3)it pre-charged my account for $65 even though my cart was 53. When i check out at the market i pay exactly what i check out...this is just bad 4)and last but not least...there is a message in pricing and the fact that prices may not match the store prices because of the service fee of instacart BUT when checking out there was also a service fee charge...NOT COOL.

takes forever if you want it soon!. nothing is the same as a publix sub which is why i decided to order one, but when i used this i had no high expectations. most other delivery apps are awful as well, because they take so unnecessarily long to arrive. i was supposed to have my order arrive in 2 hours, but it went to 3 hours. this would have been acceptable except i live 5 minutes from publix. it would’ve taken less time to walk there, get my food, and walk home! my person spent 40 minutes in the store getting 3 THINGS. i’d use this if i wanted a large amount of things and didn’t have time to shop, but any other reason i would not. not going to use this app again!😀

Terrible. I’ll start by saying I am very appreciative there is this service during these times. On my first order, I didn’t receive about $20 worth of items I ordered, which I let slide because I know it was crazy in there and these are crazy times. In my second order, I wanted one bag of plantain chips. When I received my order, there was one bag of plantain chips, but the receipt said I had purchased 10, so I had paid $40 for chips I did not receive. I filed a claim, never heard back. It’s been about 4-5 weeks. Went into my app to find order and maybe try to email them, now there are no plantain chips on any of my orders. I only used the app 4 times, they do not exist on any of my previous orders. They were taken off, and I never received my $40 refund.

Worked well for me. Selection of items easy, and process of picking up went well. The only thing is I thought that I had ordered cherry tomatoes but they weren’t in my bags or my list. I thought I ordered 18 items but got only 17. On my list it had indicated 1 adjustment but couldn’t find it it were my tomatoes. The adjustment was listed above my apples, so not sure if that was it. Would have liked to know for certain if my mistake for not. Will do this again.

Slow, Unreliable, and Not Enough Options. I tried this app twice and each time was a complete disappointment. The purpose of this app was to make shopping more convenient, when in reality it turned out the opposite. 1) There are not enough variety of items to choose from depending on your location. -The items available are usually more expensive and not the usual brands you maybe familiar with. And the items I did choose, they tried to replace them with something completely different that I did not want. 2) The BOGOS do not work. -I’m not sure if this is a technical difficulty; however, the app will tend to charge you full price although the item was advertised on sale. 3)Late delivery -Not only does it take a long time for the person to shop for your items, but they did not deliver the groceries in the promised time frame (2hours) more like (4hours). It is more convenient for you to go to the store, pick out your items, and stand in line than it would be to use this app. I do not recommend signing up for their annual subscription of after my experiences!

Several things wrong with app. If are using this app and service for a few things every once in a while it’s great but it has problems when trying to use for all of your groceries needs in time of COVID. When ordering some things it’s not clear on details of products. If you order ground beef and there is just a picture and it don’t tell you the mix 80/20 or 95/15 or 75/25 you can easily get the wrong product. Very few products let you see nutritional information and for many people with health problems that’s important, (low sodium or low carb and low fat diets) and we don’t want to shop or are unable to shop for ourselves.

Walmart is better at something??. I really hate to say it. But as an online grocery shopper I can honestly say I have more problems with Publix grocery pick up then I have EVER had with Walmart grocery pick up. With Walmart I will get everything on my list and will be notified if it’s not shopped or if it’s unavailable. Publix however will shop your item and it’s still a 50/50 chance the item(s) might not be in your car when you get home, all because they forgot. Or you get all the way home and realize you’re missing ingredients, you open the app and there is another 50/50 chance that the item(s) ur missing was unavailable but you were never notified.

Higher prices and shoppers constantly get wrong items!. First off, this app is charging you around 20-50 cents extra per item, which I can somewhat understand as it’s a convenience but there’s also a service charge and of course you should tip your delivery driver. However, the shoppers/delivery drivers are constantly not finding the correct items when they are clearly in stock. I just placed an order for pickup and all of the most important items on the order were swapped for something else when they were actually in stock, the person just didn’t bother to find them. Called instacart to refund whole order and they said there’s a 15 dollar cancellation fee?! Luckily, the person said they are putting in to get it waived.

Food orders. i’ve used instacart 3 times. First time was okay. Second time—horrible. Received very bruised and the very small bananas. Received turkey slices instead of a turkey breast. Received bunch of grapes that did not ordered but kept. Returned first 2 items but was never credited as promised by the driver. Thought I’d try again, but package of cheese was left out & wrong size coffee received. Again have not been credited. All 3 drivers were very good and helpful. Whoever picks the food can’t be very experienced shoppers.

Convenient if you can’t get to the store. I work from home and sometimes cannot get to the store. This is a great way to still get those errands ran for me. My only concern is that folks have a tendency to want to pick up other brand names in place of the Publix brand, stating it was unavailable. This has never happened to me when I shopped so I have to assume they are in a rush and grab the first item they see. It’s not the worst thing in the world, but it adds up. But, this service is a luxury so I get what I get.

FL Fabulous. We used the service at least 5 times already during Coronavirus & I gave 5 stars each time. I put in my order what substitutions were ok, (specific items when I made my order). If I didn’t list a substitution then he/she text me while shopping my order & I ok’d a substitution or quantity. You can also click on items, “no substitution.” We are 100% pleased with our multiple experiences. My shopper’s also chose great meat selections & produce. My elderly parents will continue to use the service even after Coronavirus! A +

Horrible customer service. I love Publix and have NEVER had a problem with any aspect of their products or customer service because it is usually exceptional. However, today was my first experience doing a curbside pickup. The young lady that gave me 3 bags was the rudest person I have ever encountered at any Publix. I greeted her warmly and as I was grabbing my last bag I was talking and asking her a question. I was mid sentence when she abruptly threw up her hand to wave me off and tell me she has to get back inside of the store. Before I could finish my question she was already gone. I watched her casually walk back to the front of the store with no sense of urgency as she had walked away from me. Her actions I know do not represent Publix but she really put me in a bad mood. So unnecessary.

Rotten Fruit And Vegetable. The InstaCart shoppers at the Publix in Acworth, Brookstone do not pay attention to your comments and selections. I usually ask them to bring half-ripe fruit otherwise the fruit will be smashed and close to being spoiled. InstaCart is not good about refining money back to your cart. If you’re dissatisfied with their service, they’ll give you a credit. But good luck on getting your money back if you decide not to use their service any longer. InstaCart owes my about $75 which I won’t be getting back because I’m not going to use their service any longer. And, BTW, one shopper guilted me into giving them a $100 cash tip at the onset of COVID-19 saying he was risking his life to bring me groceries. Never, ever, will I ever use InstaCart again.

One big problem. It allows you to favorite items which would be great if you could shop from your favorites. But you can only shop from what they decide is my items. Leave it alone with stupid AI. I think I know better what I want. I look at the list of “My items” and it is full of items I did not want but they gave me as a substitute. So when I get the item I do not like...you will be reminded of the mistake in the “your items”. One of the Publix apps should have a way to suggest items you would like them to carry. It could make shopping a pleasure if we had a voice about what we want and we could control our own list of items. Publix, you are lucky you will survive the cancel culture that will silently happen with well over 50% of the population that is over big corrupt businesses because you are privately held business and a huge amount of your profits go to your employees. Use that in the future and listen to your customers...less AI please...we know what we want...let us tell you, not the app. Thank you very much for being different.

Glitches. It would be great if I could select a different time slot for pick up. The app will show me time slots but won’t let me select them. Tried to get help with it, but was told it’s because of high volume, but it has always done it. No help with the issue at all. Tried to use the website and it won’t come up at all to even try to use it there. Keep getting error message and page not found. Would be great if I could actually use the service and have it for the time convenient for me instead of it defaulting to the next available time slot.

Curbside happiness. Curbside pickup at Publix is life changing. As a working single mom, my time is limited. Being able to make a grocery list, place my order, & just pull up to the store to have the groceries brought out!? Amazing!! I’m never home for the delivery option (plus my condo is gated so it’s a hassle) so curbside is the best for me. I will gladly pay the markup in price for this convenience. Plus no membership fee or tip for delivery. Also, I no longer have to drag my grumpy 4-year-old inside with me! Best time saver around. And, I find I’m not buying stuff I don’t need -so I’m also eating healthier! Win win win.

I’ll just go to the store. 1) Chat disappears! No way to get back to it! The Chat has ended notice comes up but that’s too late. 2) Stock levels say many items in stock then after I place order(2-5 mins later) you say stock is low and pick an option. Here’s an idea- if there’s stock in store but not on the shelf then go get it to fill my order or better yet just tell me you’re running low to begin with. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I spend more time on the app than actually shopping so I won’t be using it again unless I’m too sick to get out.

Instacart is literally The WORST customer service experience I have ever had.. The shopper never called me to tell me that the LARGEST MOST IMP ITEM in my order was not available. She never informed me that she didn’t have it when she dropped the bags off. I now have to run to the store minutes before I should have started cooking - to get the thing I needed. The customer service guy when I called was munching on a snack, I could barely understand what he said- the only thing I DID understand was that we was disinterested and wanted to get me off the phone. What a GIANT waste of time this was.

Pathetic customer service. I had a delivery today that was delivered early, before the time frame that I requested when I put in the order. I messaged the delivery driver advising I left work early to meet her, even though she was early and asked her to wait for me. She then proceeded to leave my groceries by the front door, in 80 degree weather, in the blazing sun. All of my perishables were spoiled, I had to drive to the store and replace them myself so we could have dinner. I messaged customer service, and they offered free delivery for my next order. They refused to reimburse me for the spoiled food their driver ruined. I am shocked by their insulting response to this situation. I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau, deleting the app, and I will recommend everyone I know who uses Publix Delivery to do the same.

Paper bags, etc. I use this app almost once a week to order groceries. It works pretty well. I wish I could set a preference to get groceries bagged with paper instead of plastic. I have to remember to ask the shopper each time. Also today for the first time my order got canceled for no reason. They said I could reorder but I ended up having to add every item, one-by-one, back into my cart to order again. I also wish it was easier to make a list of things I order all the time.

Some shoppers. I love the service, but some of the shoppers refuse to follow directions. I place my order from my tablet, it doesn’t give an audible notification from Instacart when a shopper has to substitute an item. I have a message in the app that says they need to call me for authorization of substitutions. One particular shopper made some poor choices for my substitutions and will not be shopping for me ever again! But otherwise, I love the service. I have health issues that make shopping a painful experience, but not with this.

Super convenient!!!. Between taking care of a newborn, doing house hold chores, and handling finances time got away from me! (And the struggle of getting myself and a newborn ready last minute to go full on grocery shopping isn’t the easiest thing ever) I discovered for busy days like this the convenience of publix delivery. I got on the app, added everything from my grocery list and boom!, that was it! They gave me updates and were delivering at the exact time that I requested!! Sooooooo helpful for a busy momma.

Too many issues. App has a lot of issues, but biggest one is lack of intuitiveness and lack of user friendly interface for the most common in-app actions. For instance, letting the store know you arrived for pick up is actually one of the most difficult things to navigate if you lose the email- as far as a ridiculous number of steps to back track the request through the “my orders” page, etc. Adding items to your cart from a previous list is also extremely annoying, because you can only add one at a time, and after each selection you are dumped back to the home or current order screen.

Searches with Latest update. Not happy with the latest update for this app. Now it seems advertising suppliers are getting placement above what you maybe searching for - example if I search cauliflower, there are 6+ items displayed before you ever get to see plain ole cauliflower such as frozen cauliflower rice, cauliflower Mac & cheese, cauliflower pizza crust. This is the same with a lot of products I search so some suppliers are obviously getting higher placement in the search. App is just ok. I will be forced to continue to use. I still go between Publix and Wal-Mart.

Great results!. I have never ordered groceries online before. I sat down and found a very user friendly website...placed my order of over $100 and received them on my doorstep 2 1/2 hours later. During a pandemic I think that’s pretty incredible service!! AND, it made me feel good to talk to the young woman that delivered my groceries and learn that she was a middle school teacher that was teaching her students online during the week and working doing online shop and delivery on weekends.

What is going on!?. Today, Mother’s Day, I only requested 4 items. I paid extra to have it as Priority and to be shipped within 2 hours. I placed my order at 1:00 ish and said expected delivery around 3. I was alright with that until it changed to 4:00 then to 5:00 then to 6:00 and then and only then did they start shopping. I received a notification that they checked out and it should be on the way soon. I looked back at this app and it now says expected delivery at 8:15. This is unbelievable. And it doesn’t say on it’s way, it’s a new shopper and they are JUST NOW shopping. I hope they refunded all the extra money I spent to make it a priority delivery. Such bad service..

Every. Single. Order.. Every time I place an order, it logs me out of my account and won’t let me log back in with my current password. Each time I have to reset my password and it’ll work until I place an order again. I can’t even get into the app right now after trying to reset the password again, because an “unexpected error” has occurred… again. I’m so fed up at this point. I have an order out right now and the Shopper is messaging me and I can’t respond because I can’t get into the app. At this point, who knows if I can even pick up my order because I sure can’t get in to let them know I’m on my way, or that I’m at the store. Not to mention they’ve random canceled my orders a few times due to the “unexpected errors”.

Service charges. I don’t like those $22 service charges. I think we pay enough on the higher prices online and you need to make it less for those who are disabled. I use this service once in awhile not often because it’s too high. My hubby is the only income on SSI. I’m not able to work right now. If you really want more folks shopping there the 99% of the poor n middle class, lower your online food prices for those who are on limited incomes or veterans disabled. Thank you. Sandra R.

USED to be good. I used to always use publix delivery thru instacart. I’ve never minded the fees, until now. I recently got a new phone so I didn’t have the app for about a month until today, I ordered my food and took two items off after I realized how much it’ll be. Once I took those two items off, all my other fees DOUBLED! Somehow my order was more expensive with less food in it.... Not happy at all, so I took everything off and only got the two things I absolutely needed and the fees are so high, it’s the amount of money my food is. Never ordering from you guys again until this is fixed. UPDATE: Just got an email, they “will be an hour late” on my delivery. Yet..... I’m still paying $12 for a within the hour delivery... smh. EVEN UNHAPPIER!

Missing Items. This is the second order - in a row - that meat items were missing in my delivery. In both instances (1st $30 steaks and 2nd $10 ground beef) my credit card was charged but items weren’t in the delivery. I sraCart does refund the amount either to your account or your next order. I am not feeling confident in the system now and probably will not use them again - maybe once more or I will completely lose my $10 credit. Take this as a warning that you should carefully check to be sure you are not charged for items you did not receive.

One Complaint from a Long-time Customer. One complaint. I hate the huge labels that are permanently glued to the plastic bags. This makes them difficult to reuse or recycle. I dislike having my displayed in huge letters that identify me to the world. This is not good. Other companies have discrete small labels that peel off easily. I can reuse their bags. Publix bags have to be cut up to get the label off and protect my privacy. I hate these labels. They came off the paper bags much easier. Please use paper bags or change your labels.

First time user. Just received first food delivery from Publix/InstaCart. Placed order, waited five days to receive, was delivered on due date and on time. Was able to chat with shopper while in the store. Other than still not being able to get toilet paper, everything else was available. After reading reviews I was a little concerned. Only complaints, they did not bring a receipt, and they send a text asking for feedback, but when you try to log onto link says “This page not found.” Overall, a positive experience.

Greed got the best of this service. Bad look for Publix and bad look for Instacart. I used to use this app several times a week and loved the service through the pandemic. Unfortunately a few months ago the search algorithm was completely ruined, and it’s impossible to find products in the limited selection of items that are left on the app. The price increases have far surpassed any actual value or convenience the service would normally provide. It is very clear to anyone who has been using this app for an extended amount of time that the priority of this “service” isn’t actually service at all, but rather profit is the only driving force or mission for either of these companies.

Sketchy service. This service is really sketchy. First off, prices are way up there but if you’re using the app it’s because you need food fast. My mother just moved to a different state and her account was blocked because she entered her credit card wrong. Now she can’t use it or get the food. To add to the insult, they won’t resolve it for at least 24 hours. Now I have to pay for it because she needs to eat. Then they almost didn’t let me use my card because my address was out of state. Only Apple Pay would work... you’d think too that with all the money they’re making they could afford decent customer service, Nope! I will be looking for a different local grocery store that offers curbside pickup. Publix and instacart have caused my family and I way too much stress!

Too expensive. I love Publix, but Instacart is for the birds. The food you buy, is more expensive on the app and the fees you pay are double your order amount! I placed a $14 order. After all the fees were applied, my order equaled $28. Then the app has the nerve to insinuate that I'd better leave a decent tip bcuz the delivery person can see their tip before they choose the delivery. Not after all those fees!! Pay your driver's better, since we have to pay all that extra for the service! I literally just spent double what the order is worth, bcuz I wanted a Publix sub fort lunch and couldn't leave my job. Never again Instacart. Never again. Publix needs to bring back Publix delivery. Stop collaborating with Instacart. The service is terrible and reflects badly on the stores brand.

99$ annual subscription. So apparently this app uses instacart and thats how you get your groceries delivered. The shady thing is you’ll make a normal account order your groceries and not thing about it then wake up one morning to a 99$ annual subscription fee to instacart and you don’t know what’s going on because you’ve never used instacart before then you look it up i logs you in but this time you see you’ve been signed up to an annual subscription for an app you’ve never used for ordering from Publix once. But you don’t stop there you go do a little research, and all over the internet is the horror stories of people being charged without warning for a service they never asked for.

Poor quality hires!. I was an online shopper during the pandemic (about 15 months) in a little town with 3 stop lights. I speak from experience on how to do substitutions. I have ordered only twice now from a Publix store in a real city now that I am wheelchair bound, ordering less than 10 items each time. BOTH times the order was messed up. BOTH times the online shopper clearly did not know when the order says no substitution it means…no substitution. So I was charged both times for items I won’t use. Still waiting my refunds!!! Publix takes your money within minutes but can only issue a card refund in 7-10 business days ?? My little 3 stop light town store had better customer support.

A lifesaver. Grocery selection and delivery is a lifesaver to anyone who doesn’t have time, lives in a walk up, or can’t get out of the house for whatever reason. I have used this for over a year and once the kinks were eliminated, it’s a great service. The shopper can communicate with you on your device and you can approve or disapprove of any changes. You can also change the 5%tip to whatever you want. All these folks are working very hard and all tips go to the delivery person.
