Super Cool Cash Grab. SCRL is super cool and super useful. Tons of options and aesthetic templates, as well as ways to create your own designs and exercise your own creativity. However, much like everything nowadays it seems, there are quite a few options that require buying the premium subscription. That being said, there are lots of creative, cool options that don’t need the membership. So, if you’re okay with reusing the same templates occasionally on social media, shouldn’t be a problem.

Marketers, Meet Your New Favorite Tool. As a marketing manager, I’ve seen my fair share of IG tools that promise ease of use and quality content. I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed using an app as much as this one. It enables me to make beautiful, high fidelity content that looks like I whipped out an Adobe product. The *only* thing that would make this better is a web app so I could have a more seamless transition while scheduling content. But I’m bought in! This app is a no-brainer for design-minded folks who want to play with photos.

Intuitive, but needs a web-based option.. Instagram finally broke down and listened to their professional users who demanded web-based functionality. Scroll should do the same. The app has a fun and intuitive, but tedious and slow when material is being drawn from many sources or when reliable control is desired. There’s a reason graphic artists and designers don’t work off phones all day.

SCAM. I purchased the one year premium plan and it still says that I have the plan in my Apple subscription; however, it says that the plan I have is free in the app. There’s no way to contact for support because the app one doesn’t help! This app was cute and useful until it decided to scam me! I want my plan fixed or my money back in full!! Update: Contacted the company on Instagram, since no one replied here, and then I proceeded to wait for over 24hrs for a reply. What I explained in the text must’ve not even been read because they texted back the same solution I already told them I had tried. I reported the app for scamming me through Apple since they said that they don’t handle refunds. And Apple had no way to give me a refund even though the app doesn’t even work for my subscription that I paid for! Only give me the FREE one. I’m just starting here, but I will be posting this on every social media platform available to make sure no one else buys into this terrible service that’s so terrible they don’t even offer the service I’ve paid for and won’t refund the service that I haven’t been able to use!!

Requiring premium repurchase prior to 1-year advertised.. After I upgraded my phone the maker of this app is requiring me to repurchase in less than one year. I have only had this app since April of 2020 and now it’s December 2020 and I have to repurchase. Please help me or buyer beware. I will change this review with an update once the maker restores my full premium purchase by restoring the remainder of the time owed to me. FYI - I did not change Apple ID’s. The system is not recognizing that I already purchased the premium package. Maybe it’s an honest mistake or glitch but I would appreciate receiving the remainder of my subscription please. This is an incredible app/tool, I hope the customer care is incredible too.

Was good, but no music with reels?. I used this app for the pictures and carousal and it worked fine. Then I was excited for the reels - what a major disappointment. The music doesn’t download with the video. That is a horrible model and many better apps out there for this. They really should make a disclaimer about this. Wasted a hours today creating nine reels… just to find out the music doesn’t download with them. If it is for yourself, it would be fine. But if you are doing client work - find another app.

Good app but always have technical issues. I am a prof photog and thought this app would help with designing posts for social media. I had a few projects saved, but my app kept closing every time I tried to save as a video. I upgraded to premium, still kept closing. I deleted the app and re-downloaded it and now ALL MY CAROUSELS ARE GONE! There isn’t a way for this app to have a membership where your stuff is saved?! Really frustrating.

Really great, almost perfect.. This app is wonderful and easy to use. It’s almost perfect. The one feature I would really love to be added is choosing custom aspect ratios of each tile. If I have a landscape photo that's maybe not as wide as the landscape aspect ratio in the app, I would like to be able to add a white matte to it by using this app but I can't do so without getting extra white space due to the max width aspect ratio.

This app does everything i wish instagram did. i always find myself wanting to layer pictures with videos on scroll and stories, i wish that the premium version was cheaper but i do understand. Maybe a month to month subscription option added

Good, but could still improve. Not finished with the free trial yet. But while using some of the templates, you can’t change the background. Being able to customize the background with a picture of your own would allow for more creativity. Some features that would be helpful too would be an automatic 90 degree rotating feature when selecting a picture. Another helpful feature would be to have preset ratios for cropping pictures.

Go for blank!. I’m a new user, but so far everything seems fine within the app. Along with many apps the best of the best options to use cost money, but luckily this app allows for a blank option that you can use freely in a basic yet beneficial way. Takes some time to get it right the first couple times but use the blank feature if you’re like me and would rather not put money into every single app you own!

Paid $5 for this app and now they want to charge $40/year. I found this SCRL a little over 2 years ago. I really like how it’s user friendly and the quality of the templates. But it is frustrating when I have been a customer and paid for the app, only to find out recently that they made adjustments to the app and now I have to pay $40 a year to access my old collages because they are now “premium templates” . It’s stupid and I wish they could waive that premium payment for customers who have been using and promoting the app on social media for years prior to this new subscription fee. It’s a shame I can’t access my old collages, I do enjoy this app but doing long time customers dirty is baffling.

Really Dope!. I have a photo background and I take so many lifestyle photos and I love to use this app to collage them together for Instagram. The posts I use with Scroll always get way more likes than static posts. Videos are the future tho so today I bought the premium features so my video wouldn’t have the watermark. As a branding professional I see myself using this app even more now that I unlocked more features. Even in the free version you can make a really impactful Carousel post without a watermark. It was great… until I had to pay. I loved this app and the software, and I loved making my posts for my photography account with it, but then it limited my abilities to create by only allowing 3 photos (which at that point I’d just use normal Instagram) and making me pay to add more. I was perfectly happy making my own without templates and it made me honestly super happy, but not being able to use that anymore really sucked. I’m an amateur teen photographer with a part time job. I don’t have money for another subscription to use an app that advertised that as their basic function, but hey nothings free in life 🤷‍♀️😭

Confirmation screens????. I so very desperately wish there was a confirmation screen to let you know you are exiting your work. I’ve done it to the same post set like 6 times and it is driving me absolutely insane. I don’t want to pay for premium, so all of my work each time is completely lost to the world. Even a simple “leave work yes/no?” Would suffice. Sometimes the app lags and I have pressed a button multiple times assuming I didn’t hit the right spot and have now lost multiple projects.

Lost work because app crashes.. I love this app so much but I have lost a lot of projects from the app crashing or if I accidentally go back a couple times I cannot go back to what I was working on. The app does not save your work so I am forced to work on a project and save it. I just wish there was a way that I could save my work as I’m working on it and re-edit it leave my phone and come back to continue editing. There’s been many times I have not answered a phone call because I did not want to lose the work that I couldn’t save. Other than that, I love how simple it is to make the reels and make post that have multiple images. It’s a great app it just needs help with the crashing and ways to save your work so you can come back and continue with a past project.

It was fun at first…. It was fun at first but then suddenly it made my phone storage COMPLETELY FULL and i could not do anything or continue what I was creating until I deleted more stuff. I checked my storage and I hadn’t even had it for an hour and it already was taking up some of the MOST space on my phone???? Also suddenly ALL the notes in my notes app disappeared coincidentally while I was using this. I’m not sure if it’s even connected but it’s just v sus that I started having problems with my phone and storage and suddenly all my notes in my notes app disappears as I’m using it idk. I really really wanted to like it. And I did enjoy it because I’ve been really into making panorama instsgram collages lately because the other apps I have don’t have templates that fit the amount of photos I am trying to add, as well as the various vertical/horizontal photos to make a panorama post work in other apps and their templates. I started using photoshop on my computer and just manually making a panorama collage so this was suddenly a life and time saver in making it less of a hassle in creating what I’ve been doing on my computer. However, because of the issues I started having that I mentioned above and the amount of INSANE storage it takes up on my phone, I will have to unfortunately delete this.

Wish it had a snapping feature. I love this app, but one thing I entirely wish would be included in an update would be the ability to snap photos into a square! My shaky hands can never seem to perfectly place the photo in the guides without it being a milimeter off and my ocd doesn’t allow it lol! I love the center lock guides but it would be great to have it on the outer edges! Or maybe even the ability to nudge a photo?

used to be great, but now you have to pay for almost everything. I was genuinely enjoying this app. i got so many compliments on my posts, and shared it with so many friends. I loved the fact you had both free and paid templates, but also the option to start from scratch and create your own collage, but now you have to pay to upload more than 3 photos when creating from scratch. I get that you want people to subscribe, but that just makes me want to delete the app instead. 3 is not nearly enough to create a collage from scratch. considering you can add as many frames as you like. i think either bumping the photos to 5 or 8, or limiting the frames is much more fair

Perfect except for the crashes. As a professional photographer, I absolutely love this app and the freedom and creativity it gives me. Especially for Instagram posts to tell a story with multiple images. BUT so many times it will crash while I’m in the middle of creating and adding images, and then if I try to open the app and go back, it will continue to crash. So I have to start over completely. Which is a huge bummer because it takes some time to put together. PLEASE consider a desktop version!

Just ok. I honestly have no idea how this app gets so many great reviews. I use many photo and video editing apps that are faster, offer better templates and aren’t so confusing to use. This app also takes up a lot of space on my phone. I just deleted 20gb of saved items and I couldn’t find a way to delete them in one go and had to delete them individually — just an example of how this app is not as intuitive and easy to use as others. I have the premium version and I hardly never use this app bc the others I have are so much better. I use these apps for my job, I am a content creator for multiple social media accounts. The reel templates are ok but they take a long time to load and I have the newest iphone pro.

Incorrect Orientation for selected photos. When I choose photos from my gallery, the images are sometimes flipped upside down or sideways and I can’t seem to rotate them at all. I tried flipping the photos in my photos app on iPhone, but even after doing that the photos still come upside down. Not sure why this is the case or whether or not I’m using the rotate images feature wrong (not a 2 finger hold and twist?) but the fact that the images come out upside down is a bit irritating.

Great app, could use MORE templates. Amazing app, easy function. Unfortunately, there's just not enough templates especially in the Paper section which is my personal favorite. Whenever I try to post a portrait style photo, the cropping is waaaaay off and either I need to cut off parts of my image or search for another template. Seriously, please add more templates this app is so close to being 5 stars, but it's just not useful enough

Absolutely love!. Thank you for this app! I had used a different app in the past but I did not like the quality of the images when they saved. With Scrl, I’ve had no issues with low quality/resolution image saves as long as the original image was high resolution. Took a bit to get used to when selecting photos to move. I do wish my text was able to tilt- unless I couldn’t figure it out, but I was only able to change font, color, position, and size but no tilt. I don’t use text often so it’s not a big deal. No stars deducted for that. Thank you!

Cool but very limited. Pretty cool!! They have the right idea: however, you should be able to keep adding more frames once you start your own “start from scratch”. I have to use a different app to connect the small videos created on this app. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE this app. Just giving honest feedback.

Really wanted to love this. I so wanted to love this app, as many of my friends use it and it looks amazing. However, in trying to make and save my first carousel, the app has crashed on me while saving close to 30 times. I even purchased premium to see if it would get better, but nope. I’ve restarted my phone, deleted and restarted the app, and started over making the carousel countless times. It just seems glitchy. Bummed because the result is so lovely but I don’t have the time for making the same carousel over 20 times. 🥴

Severely limited for landscape/car photography. Spent some time with the app and found that 99% of the photo templates cater to portrait mode shooting. It was difficult to find a nice, minimalist template that showed off photos without gimmicky tape graphics and fake film. Functionality when editing is also capped at adding text, or fake graphics. I’d love to see basic features like flipping the template horizontal or vertically. I’d also like to see a wider range of templates or a template builder. I feel like I maxed out what this app could do in 5 minutes so why would I pay $35 to play with it for a year?

I LOVE THIS APP!. This is a truly phenomenal app. The Reel feature, although still in beta, completely changed the game especially in comparison to other apps. This is all I've ever wanted in a video editing app. I can't wait for the Reels feature to be fully updated and optimized. It's definitely not as smooth yet but I can see where it's going and I'm absolutely here for it. Feedback I'd provide is of course expanding the audio/template library and perhaps having the ability to edit each clip that goes into the Reel making process within that same window…? Only being able to cut it, replace or delete isn't as much but it's a great start. With updates and expansions like these you would have a Pro subscriber for life, I ADORE this app! Great job guys, this is truly a game changer and no other app in the market currently offers what you guys are trying to implement (Reels feature) at least to that degree of smoothness, trendyness and simplicity to use. It's absolutely phenomenal, please continue to work on it!

So far so good!. I’ve been wanting to get my insta page started for a while now. Today, I started editing some pictures but couldn’t get them to fit the right way. Forgot that I had downloaded this app a bit ago for this very reason. SCRL to the rescue!! I was able to edit and upload everything within a fraction of the time I wasted editing on my own. Very easy to use and tons of options even in the free version. Highly recommend

Love but needs an update for bugs now. Many times a green or other discolored line will be on the bottom or the edge of the carousel photo/video. The + when a photo will snap in place centered needs to also allow for an image to be snapped into place on the top, edges, or corners bc I can sit on the app for an hour trying to get it to perfectly fit. I believe there used to be the option to search the templates but now I can again take forever to find which one I want to use. Needs to be a way to search by the amount of photos and the amount of frames and of course stories, portrait, or square.

I wanted to love it. The interface is pretty okay as far as that goes. I was so excited to find an app to make carousels that had what I needed, only to find that it won’t export anything with a video in it… Even just one slide with one 5 second video on it. The app crashes EVERY single time unless I export as a video, which isn’t what I need. I spent so much time laying stuff out only for it to constantly crash when rendering. Why even have a video option if it won’t export a measly 5 second video? I’ve had better luck rendering videos in worse apps. As a designer, this is not ideal in any way. Definitely cancelling after the free trial.

Poor app with constant upselling. This app has really poor design with aggressive upselling for their subscription plan. It’s bad to the point where I was not able to really take a good test run. The interface is clunky with constant upsell pop ups. Finally it won’t let you save without a watermark unless you pay their subscription fee. I am not going to pay for a subscription before I had an opportunity to run with it atleast for a few posts. As usual they have 7 day “trial” with auto renewal so that they can charge you sneakily if you forget. Did not earn trust at all. Avoid !

Staple Creator App!. Forever worth it to have this rather than figure out the dimensions like I used to in photoshop to make photos fit on Instagram to scroll with larger photos. Puts a totally different spin on posting, I love everything it allows me to do to try even more creative with posts! You need it, you heard it here!

Ideas. Some stuff is good but we should be able to adjust the position of the images in the boxes in all templates. I created a reels template just now and most of my shots were bad cause of the position they took when I added them. Also it be nice to have the templates be able to adjust whether it’s. Landscape or a Portrait format. These nicknames are a pain Thanks

Needs many bug fixes. As a professional photographer I wanted to love this app. It was working so great, but once you start adding more photos it becomes very slow. I tried so many times to save my work (which took time for me to perfectly create) and every single time it crashed when I tried to save. It would not let me save my work and would change something I had done every time I came back after it crashed and have to go back and fix it. I still cannot export my work. 0/10 for me. Needs a lot of bug fixes.

Nothing in the app works. You can’t add more than one picture at a time so you have to go back in and scroll through your photos again and again to add them to a project rather than dumping five or six at a time to move around. You can’t search for photos in an album. It only lets you search through your general photo library. Actually both of these issues might be with the new iOS not too sure. This one is not the iOS issue though. YOU CANT CROP. When you attempt to crop a photo, it just resizes it.

Love the Creativity. I took a giant leap of faith in this app, it was worth it. It started as a app I used to help with my program social media page. Then I started to use it in my own social media. I love that it allows me to do so much on my own or use templates. It’s very versatile with a lot of endless possibilities. It reminds me of scrapbooking:) silly I know but just like scrapbooking you are able to make it uniquely yours.

An incredible workflow without having to pay. I use this app to lay out a lot of photos from many different sources and find that there’s new useful features coming out even after having used it for years. I haven’t felt the need to pay for their premium templates because of the process I enjoy going through, but I wouldn’t doubt that it’d bring more enjoyment to many users trying to create great content very quickly.

Loving it so far.. Until I’m able to pay for the full version, the little bit that the app comes with as is is so enjoyable to use and the developers really thought it through from the user standpoint. As soon as I can, I’m purchasing the full version to be able to use it to its entirety.

TOP NOTCH APP for creating unique boards. This app has to be one of my favorite finds I have ever discovered! For starters, every other “storyboard-making” app requires in-app purchases that not only couldn’t be customized, but ALSO expected you to buy the stuff without really giving you a chance to explore the real possibilities with the app. THIS APP ALLOWS YOU TO DO THAT: to create your OWN STORYBOARD & VISION WITH EASE! This app deserves the recognition and review from me! Will update if I ever get and try the in-app purchases!

Disappointed. I specifically got this app and paid for the yearly subscription because of the reels portion. I was referred by a friend who used it and loved it. After I downloaded it, I didn’t have the reels option. I emailed and sent a DM in IG to see why I didn’t have it. I thought it was something wrong with my download so I tried everything while waiting for a reply from customer service. It took them SEVERAL weeks to get back to me only to say “oh yeah we’re discontinuing that”….. they should’ve made an announcement saying that because I would’ve never wasted my money that I can’t get back now. Poor customer service. Terrible company.

Suggestion. Love the app! A suggestion though. It would be a big timesaver if the border settings defaulted to your most recent style. If you are applying borders to several images it takes time. For me, I’m almost always applying uniform style and it resetting to zero and black every time is frustrating. Also, the feedback link does not work.

Love this app!. EDIT X 2: just saw they’re going to discontinue the reels portion! Was really having fun with that portion and using it a ton. Any chance to keep at least some of the templates or tools? EDIT: they introduced a reels section and I’m excited to see how that grows! Can't wait for when you’re able to save them in the app to work on again like the carousels. Thanks for continuously improving this app! ————————- Been using this app for a really long time and the improvements over the years have been exceptional. The ONLY things I would even say this app needs is maybe a pride collection, the ability to adjust image dimensions when creating your own blank project and being able to pick up right where you left off in the album when you’re creating something. Currently it brings you the latest most recent folder and would love to have it pick up where I was in the camera roll. But other than that I love this app! Makes your posts look next level and I highly recommend!

Great app. This app is great, even without making any purchases, which is why I’ll probably be buying all the templates at some point! The blank template format gives me so much to work with without any annoying ads or bugs. I can tell the developers read through reviews of former versions and added a lot of versatility to it, which is nice to see as well. Please keep it up !

Fix Reels ASAP!. Adding reels was a cool feature, but they allowed you to edit the timeframe of each photo and somehow the app crashed on me and when reopened no saved work and the reels are ONLY allowing you to go by the preset timeframes. I worked on a reel for 2 hours, 30 frames.. all different timeframes and before I saved lost everything, it was heartbreaking. Even when trying to recreate what I did, I wasn’t able too. The Reel section continues to crash before even getting through all frames now. PLEASE FIX THIS!!!!!!!!!!

Reduces picture quality. This app would be a 10/10 if it didn’t significantly reduce the quality of my photos . I use a professional camera and when I go to save my seamless carousel photos I can tell a huge difference in quality which makes me not even want to upload them. I might as well upload the pictures straight from my camera roll. If the quality issue could be fixed this would be a great app to have and use

Genuinely Ruined Experience. I used this app frequently, it was so convenient and easy to use. I found it so rare to have a free app that allowed such creativity. Only allowing three photos, even on your own template, is absolutely ridiculous. There is no point in having the app for free. I guess I understand the need to make money, but making these types of changes this late into the lifecycle of the app feels icky. I feel shattered. So long SCRL, thank you for sharing your life with me.

Stole my money. I've had this app for a long time now. Years. I liked it, although not obsessed I purchased packs and used them. With some new updates they completely locked me out of my previous purchases and will only make them available with subscription. That is bad business and horrible customer care. I completely understand switching to a different style of product and app use, but not allowing people who's spent money to keep the packs they purchased... well, you lost a potential subscriber.

I can’t tilt the images!!!! FIX THIS. It’s so incredibly impossible to try to tilt these image at a certain degree The struggle I was having trying to Tilton image to match it up at the correct angle with another image was so frustrating it forced me to write a review for these people to correct this. Not being able to have the ability to tilt something to a correct point it’s kinda stressful. FIX THIS!!!!! Love this app tho

Instagram Post. I LOVE this app when I need to post more than 10 photos. I think this app is very easy to use and they always turn out super cute! Had hundreds of photos to go through to post for my spring break trip and SCRL made it so easy for me to not only have to post 10. Highly recommend this app!!!

Works well but has one bad feature.. I think this app is really useful however it requires access to all my photos on my phone which I just don’t feel comfortable with. Even if I go into the iPhone settings and change it to Selected Photos, this app won’t export photos and asks me to change it to All Photos. I have many many photo editing apps and this is the first one I’ve used, that requires All Photos to export photos. Will not be using this app until it changes.

I love this app!! BUT. It’s a shame that you can’t save projects it makes my editing process such a pain and sometimes it crashes and you lose everything it’s so irritating 😫 tho it’s great and I highly recommend, got lots of compliments on my feed!

Big Scam. Downloaded this back in 2020 was using it and event purchased a number of template packs due to the high quality; only to find that they’ve now scrapped that and my purchases aren’t valid and I need to pay a subscription. They lived long enough to see what made this product good turn into what made the rest bad; and they barely offer additional content for the subscription.

Getting much better. Currently loving the addition of more features to non premium users

Fix the app. App decides to quit half way through making a reel and does not save progress, I have tried to make the same reel 6 different times yet can’t seem to finish it without it quitting half way through.

Awesome app. This app is the easiest one I have used to edit Instagram carousels. The interface is so simple and intuitive. I would say the user experience can be improved much better if there is an option to crop the photos in addition to resizing. Hoping that it will be solved through update.

Unsure if I should buy the subscription. I recently started to use the app (1 week trial) and wanted to genuinely pay for the subscription. Now I am not sure anymore. The apps keeps failing when I am trying to create a reel. The app closes out of nothing and my whole project gets lost! I then have to start all over again and sometimes it fails again. Yesterday it took 6 tries to actually finish one reel and I almost threw my phone through the window. As I am writing this review the app failed 3 times in a row. Therefore I am thinking to cancel my free trial and don’t pay for the subscription. Very disappointed.

It’s okay. For about $50 AUD a year, this app is okay. It has easy templates to use, and easy way to add to your social media.

Recently Glitchy. I have been recently been facing a lot of issues while using the app. When clicking on to projects it will glitch and exit me out of the app. This will also sometimes result in me loosing all progress. It has also been taking longer amounts of time to load when I do manage to open a project. I think this issue may be the result of a new update that has messed with the functionality, but I’m not sure. All I know is that it’s very disappointing and frustrating especially after paying a large amount of money for the full service.

Took ma money. I signed up for a 7 day free trial and they just took $54 and didn’t refund it. Great app but yeah would love my money back pls :)

Great tool. I have been using the free version, it’s been great! Just hope I don’t have to pay $60 a month for it for how I’m currently using the app

Rip. Probably a good app if you didn’t have to pay for literally everything. Things in this app are definitely not free or require you to spam your friends with invites to be able unlock templates etc. Plenty of others that don’t require you to pay for anything.

Simple but so effective. I’ve been using this app for about a month now and it’s a real game changer. It has made my content stand out from the others and it’s so easy to use, it awesome and it’s also free! Needs some work. This app is great but needs work. There should be a text alignment option. It also shuts down after using it for a while and you lose your work. You should be able to save projects and begin others.

An annual subscription is less than one month of Netflix or one week of tinder platinum & there’s no surprise super deluxe version you unlock after paying the first time . has an intuitive ui that’s easy to navigate . Unfortunately the standard is so low now that this is hard to come by but like the title says , it does what it says it does & it does it well .

It was my favourite app. I’m so disappointed, this is my first time writing a review. I’ve used this app for years and absolutely loved it. Was extremely excited when I saw they added new features like stories and landscape options. Only to be let down that they have now lowered their free version to 3 photos. Uninstalled the app, if I only wanted 3 photos I’d just use Instagram to upload them.

Are you serious?. Has no one pointed out that there’s no live back up / auto save feature? I just spent an hour working on something very intricate, lo and behold I back out of the app to answer a message and go on instagram for a few minutes only to come back and have the app soft reboot. Even if you attempt to constantly save the images and re import them you lose each singular object and instead it becomes one giant photo. I wonder how many others have had the same issue. Just implement some sort of live auto save function and separate the objects (Re: retouch app.. of which constantly allows you to view last edits) Also unironically bought every pack on the app only to really never actually use them (you can’t actually add unique image boxes as you can normally through a fresh start with no paid template). This is probably my first review on any site in my life I just hope atleast one person reads this and takes the precaution of not letting the app time out.

Good Templates. I took advantage of the 7 day free trial to explore some of the templates. There’s good variety but with the free version you get some templates and the blank squares, so I don’t think it’s worth purchasing. There’s a bit of a learning curve but it’s easy enough to use. Definitely recommend if you want to add variety to your posts.

Good start, but there are several ways to improve user experience. Good app! However, there are several things that would make the user experience better: 1. An auto save feature so you never have to worry about losing your work. 2. The ability to create unlimited free folders to organize your projects (I have way too many and never know where anything is). 3. The ability to delete a page between other pages, instead of only being able to delete the last one added. Also being able to move pages. 4. The ability to copy multiple elements at once (ex. several images) and paste. Also being able to duplicate images. And be able to cope an entire page of elements and paste in another project. It’s so frustrating going through my camera roll multiple times to create different versions. 5. Maybe a library for uploads? Like Canva where if you upload an image you can access the upload on any project. 6. The ability to choose which pages you want to save for a carousel. Incredibly annoying that I need to save all of them anytime I make a small change.

Not enough templates. I accidentally left the subscription on and got charged $45 for the premium. Which, fair enough was my fault. I contacted them asking for a refund and never got a response. Decided to use the app and realized how few templates they have. many are just unusable weird filter for the photos and not enough different layouts. i feel like it’s obvious what style most people are downloading this for and it’s not delivering for me.

Sensational!!!. I have been looking for an app like this for a while and ever since I found it I have loved it. The simplicity and ease in using makes me keeping coming back to try new things.

Insta Life Hack. This app is perfect for those photo shoots you did but they don't fit with instagrams stupid 4x5 formatting, those tall full body shots can be admired perfectly with this app Only thing I would change is moving each pic and mass uploading the pictures at the start is kind of a pain

App Crashes Constantly. I really want to love this app, but whenever I am creating a reel, it struggles to load my images and crashes within 5 minutes of opening the app. I have closed out and reloaded the app several times, but it still crashes. Super frustrating. I can see how this app can be super helpful and I like the amount of templates offered for Instagram reels but it simply doesn’t work.

Great for simple designs. I do wish the app can step it up a little bit with enlarging texts. There may be that option but I can’t find it easily. Also, I wish it could be more trendy with cut out templates and action/sporty templates (like how Under Armour uses their cutouts).

No all presets work- Purchased the film I preset. I Purchased the film one pack only for the last scroll preset not to work. It was working fine for a while and now it’s not working. I like to use the single one to get larger photos shrunken down to fit within Instagram settings. That’s the reason I purchased it. I deleted the app and re-download it and it still does not work.

great way to organize photos. As someone who takes “too” many photos, this app allows me to organize and share multiple photos in a stylistic way. It’s also super easy to use. Wish it was cheaper, but hey, that’s show business baby!

Waste of time and money. I thought this app was going to have photos and videos I could use. I already know how to make a reel with my own media. I couldn’t even use the music that came with the app. Even though I followed in screen instructions it didn’t work. I wasted time with this app and it’s a huge download file - for what? No media. Lame.

Got charged. No refund. Make sure you deal with your subscriptions before you delete an app off your phone. This app seems ok but wasn’t what I wanted. Deleting the app doesn’t stop your subscription so now I’m subscribed for a full year on an app I’ll never use. 🥲 they refuse to refund. Giving it a 1 star for that. Forgot to mention the reasons for not liking this app is the crash factor.

Video quality. Love the app, but I’m noticing the videos I attach along with stills seem to be lower in quality as opposed to regular upload to instagrams feed. Vids look low res. Please look into the compression for video, as this is rapidly becoming a large portion of the content on all platforms.

One of my favorite apps. As a photographer I love the ability to control how many and the layout of all my photos fit for social media sharing. It makes my work look so polished and fun!

Won’t restore purchase. The app has a new look from when I originally purchased it in 2021. And with the new look came a loss of the templates I had purchased. I’ve tried clicking “restore purchases” and I still don’t have access to those templates. Honestly I would have repurchased them (they were like $2.99) but that no longer seems to be an option. Instead you have to purchase a $25 annual subscription. Frankly it’s greediness on the part of the developers.

Great app but it crashes. I love this app & used it for about over a year now and time and time again when I try to save the edits the app crashes. I tried airplane mode, deleted most of my own photos and cleared the app but nothing seems to be working.

Love the app; really want more customization. I love this app and the groundwork for a truly amazing app is right there. I would love the ability to further customize tape colors, font outlines, and everything within the provided templates (eg Polaroid angles and sizes).

Crashing constantly. The app has been crashing constantly. Each time I create a new scroll it crash if I close and re-open it. I do use several large photos but it used to be fine in previous versions but ore recent versions have been crashing too often. I have the paid version. It would be nice to be able to use the app again

Excellent App!. The free version has a ton of versatility and I definitely recommend it to any photographer out there looking to change up their IG appearance. Lots of paid options for video in stories as well. Controls can be a bit tricky at first but you get used to it.

quality issue but good app otherwise. So when I export and post on Instagram the quality becomes blurry and grainy and unable to be posted. I used it for one photo split in half and it’s beautiful, but when I try to make creative collages and such, it becomes a hassle. I really want to keep using this app if the quality would be maintained.

Can’t add pngs. I love this app, but as of recently, I haven’t been able to add pngs. I was able to just about a week ago, and have the app updated to the latest version. Other than that, I really enjoy the app. I hope I can find why it’s not letting me add pngs.

Love this app. Hate how often the developers change things. Really!? Can’t use more than 3 photos in a single collage unless I pay? I’ve used this app for YEARS and not even a warning of “hey! We’re changing how this app works - please support us by subscribing” or some type of heads up. I’m more than happy to subscribe to apps like this. But warn us. Warm us up to it. Don’t just constantly upgrade and change something that is solid and works.

Not Able to load some prictures. (Keep in mind that it might be me…) however, I am not able to load certain photos to my projects I thought initially that was an issue with raw files but I. Was in fact able to load some RAW files, while searching for answers on their faq’s they were none… for 35 bucks a year I thought I was gonna get more, although I’m on free trial if not able to fix it I will definitely cancel it

Not what I expected. This app is not very dynamic *at all* especially for the cost. I was totally fine to pay for an app like this, but doing so I would expect a lot of options & tools to make really striking stories/posts. Honestly, what is available after paying for it feels like what would be available *before* a paywall. That is how limited the options & tools are. They also make it very hard to cancel your subscription. Super disappointed. Feel scammed.

Easy and awesome app!. There’s sooo much great features here and such an easy experience, only thing I’d recommend adding is giving the user some freedom to put any image as a texture. The preset textures are awesome but I would add onto the experience to have more freedom to customize the textures

Transparency isn’t working. Hello I just wanna say great app! Recently I wanted to do a carousel slide with transparent images of my stuff but it doesn’t seem to working at the moment. Please fix soon! It’s an overall great app but I had to switch to SwipeMix just for the transparency pictures to work

Awesome templates. I am having fun designing new types of post and seeing my photos in a new way. It a very helpful app that allows us to be even more artistic with our photos.

Solid and Easy to Use!. Such a great tool! The multiple templates and the on-the-go availability makes it easy to use. Sometimes I’m not always able to open up my laptop and spend time on photoshop, so this is a great tool to have on my phone.

You only get 3 photos unless you pay. The free version used to let you make blank designs from scratch with unlimited photos but now you can only use 3 photos and then it tells you to pay. What’s the point? Completely useless now. 10 photos would at least be the same as what Instagram does. No one is making a scrl with 3 measly photos. Not paying for that

Love it!. I am an independent artist and use SCRL to create carousel posts for Instagram. I love that all of the basic functions are available without paying for premium. I can do anything I need to without adding a new subscription. No complaints!

Excellent for IG. Very easy to use. Creates beautiful slideshows and videos for my photography Instagram account. I even use it to create mini videos for clients with their top 5 favorite pics as a little extra.

GREAT BUT BEWARE. I spent 5 hours working on posts for instagram too all of a sudden have app close and all progress be gone. The drafts were there and the photos were still in the places I set them, but the were not visible in the app, you could not replace them to make them visible, and saving post as individual photos or using the video option just gave black screen. SAVE YOUR DRAFTS TO YOUR PHONE REGULARLY TO AVOID THIS BUG THAT SHOULD NOT EXIST IN THE 1st place -___-

The basic package is still great. Even if you don’t want to buy the premium package you can still use the basic version well

So fun and cool but needs aid. I love how creative this app lets me make my posts for social media but I’ve had to find ways to work around the bugs and crashing of the app to really create something. If you have 2+ videos on a 4 pane carousel—it crashes which makes things like dumps or just small recaps hard to create with the cool synchronization the app promotes

Fantastic UI. I saw an ad for the app and it looked a little complex, but after playing around with it for 20 minutes, I could easily see how intuitive and powerful Scrl is. I’m on the free plan now but I know that I’ll probably be upgrading soon because of how useful this app is.

Good app but glitchy. Having a problem where the music from random templates does not stop playing; even when I’m in the editor the music from the menus will not stop

Needs Drafts. I love the layouts I can easily create on this app. However, it is incredibly frustrating when I leave the app for a few seconds, to respond to an email for instance, and the app restarts. The work is not saved and you’re forced to start over. It would be great if SCRL provided the option to save drafts or just left your work in place when switching between apps.

Different canvas sizes please!. Would love to see other options for canvas sizes like 3:2, 4:3, 4:5, 5:4. Kind of like VSCO cam with their cropping options. 1:1 sizing is nice but it gets a tad boring if you post all the time. I would even pay if the other sizes were an in-app purchase. Love the app! Keep up the great work!

Need more templates. The app is nice to use, but paying for premium now doesn’t seem worth it as they don’t seem to regularly release new templates. Would love to see regular template releases to justify the yearly price. Find myself using templates inside of IG and so I’m stuck with the question of why am I paying for this if I don’t have consistent new templates to use.

Square only 🙁. I love the idea of this app but really disappointed that it only offers the square format. I feel the full frame format is desperately needed for this type of collating, while square only is quite limited. When will the full frame canvas size be available? Anyone out there know of a similar app w/ full frame rather than square canvas size?

Forced access to “all photos”. I downloaded the seven day trial to create an Instagram post and the app forces you to allow them to access all of your photos. As a human, but also photographer, it’s super imperative that my work is under strict license, not to mention privacy, and there was no option for me to use select photos! Most apps,at this point, give you the chance to allow access to certain images, go with them.
