Great App!. There are a few apps out there some with more reviews. Ignore them, I’ve tried literally every one of them, yes even the one you are thinking of. This app is fantastic and allows you to see what drinks you can make with what you have in your cabinet and pantry. Also it’s free so downloading it should be a no brainer.

Best cocktail app of many I have. Best cocktail app of many I have. I have over 10 different app, I paid much more for some of these apps, some of them are costly monthly or yearly membership but are so poor in content. This is my go to app. One of only three out there are worthy.

Could have been great. I like the retro aesthetic of this app. It’s super functional and I like that it lets me track my ingredients as well as recipes. Unfortunately, I’m just not interested in a subscription. If I had the option of buying recipes in a one time purchase I might’ve stayed in. As it is there are two few free recipes and why would I pay a subscription fee when there are literally thousands of recipes available for free with a quick Google search.

Doesn’t support landscape mode?. I downloaded it for my iPad thinking this could be a nice app for behind my bar, but it only comes up in letter and not landscape mode. Most people have a case for their iPad so that they can set it on a counter or something and read from. This seems like a fairly significant shortcoming in my opinion.

Great phone app needs better iPad support. I love the database of drinks. It’s easy to add things to your inventory so you can see what you can make on hand and can’t. Some people won’t like the pixel art, but I often see apps with ‘photos’ that aren’t accurate so it’s a mixed bag where ever you go. Great note taking and filtering. The things I’d change if anything would be to hand the dev an iPad Pro with a keyboard and beg for landscape mode. Adding custom ingredients is greats, would be nice (likely hard) to allow saying “this custom ingredient can sub for this generic or other inventory item”. All in alll it’s becoming my go to for storing recipes and keeping track of what I’ve tried.

Love this app. Love this app. Love the graphics. Only thing I would work on is the filter screen. I would like to filter by ingredient instead of pack. I guess I know why you didn’t add it, because there are hundreds of ingredients. And liquor isn’t separated. Hmm tricky. Only annoying because I was looking for gin drinks and Tom Collins isn’t in the gin pack. Maybe add an option to hide partial ingredient recipes based on level. The filter screen is a little confusing. But otherwise I love the app and can’t wait for more packs! Mixel Maximizer is really clever.

Wonderful!. I absolutely love this app! It’s everything I have ever wanting in a cocktail app. Every single detail from seeing what you can make with what you have, the shopping list, and my personal favorite the little bit that lets you see how much more you could make by adding whichever ingredients you’re thinking about. Also love how it tells you about subbing different things. Like in one recipe I saw it said I can use triple sec instead of having to buy cointreau. Also the flavor filters are amazing. Just all around a wonderfully done app and I definitely bought the entire unlock after fully exploring the initial options. Did not regret a thing.

Best app for home mixology by far. If you like making drinks at home, this app is the best way to reference and record recipes. The Maximizer is extremely useful for people looking to grow their bar by recommending the bottle that will best expand their cocktail selection. I have an extensive book collection for cocktails, but Mixel is what I use when I'm actually making drinks.

Gotta Stock Them All. It’s an amazing app makes making cocktails a fun collection game triggers that gotta stock them all feel that finds you stopping by Liquor stores saying if I pick up a bottle of sweet vermouth I will unlock 35 more cocktails then I’ll pick up some oranges that’s like another 20 so far I’m at 330

Fun and FUNCTIONAL!!!!!. I will admit that the add on (which costs money) is what put me at 5 stars with this app. The extra recipes are awesome. But without the in-app....It keeps track of my ingredients, gives drink suggestions based on what you have on hand or what you could make if you had this or that ingredient. It lets you chose drinks by taste (strong, herbal, etc...) or picking a specific set of ingredient(s) that you want in the drink. Very cool app. Well worth it!

Fun and useful. I found this app when my bartender at The Haymaker in Raleigh NC created a custom drink with Pimms for me called “A Sworthy Brit” and texted me a Mixel screenshot of the recipe. Wish we could see recipes from other users so I could see it in the app, but I get the “curated” thing. Anyway it’s a handy app. Love the design, and I easily input my home bar, unlocked everything in the app, and now have hundreds of great drink recipes. Well done!

Well Designed, Fun, and Helpful!. Whether you only need to consult the app for an eggnog recipe once a year at the holidays, or you need an everyday companion, this app is perfect. What if I told you that there was a way to tell you phone what is in your Bar and refrigerator, and it would store that information and show you drinks you can make currently, as well as drinks you might be able to make with a few more ingredients? Until Mixel, there wasn’t an elegant solution. Mixel takes old school art and mixes it with helpful information to take you from a regular guy or gal to a top notch at-home (or full-time) bartender.

Paid and got nothing?. I paid for premium a while back. It shows so in the store, upon booting up the app I really only see the basic 80, if that. It offers to let me pay for premium or packs that should be available to install. :/

Nice app. Sometimes sluggish. Nice app. Some times it is unusably slow especially when it is first opened after a few days of being closed. Lots of good recipes. I wish there was a way to rate the drinks you have made instead of just making them as tried.

My favorite cocktail app. I have many sources for cocktails, and out of all them, this is my absolute favorite. It’s easy to use, I can filter through flavors, ingredients and even sources. It’s amazing. I also love how it doesn’t always get too specific with the ingredients and if it does, it gives me a replacement suggestion. Please keep adding recipes and new sources! Also some new color schemes for dark mode would be excellent. Thank you!

Literally my favorite app.. I’ve been spending too much money at the liquor store because of this. It’s super convenient, shows you what ingredients you have that are close enough to what you need for some drinks. Even shows you suggestions on what to get to expand you list of recipes. And it’s 8-bit, which looks really cool. It’s my favorite app I’ve ever downloaded. This might push me towards liver failure and that’s a risk I’m willing to take.

Finally, a bar app that "thinks" like a bartender. The thing this app gets right is that spirit brand names fall onto categories of spirits, and some of those categories are similar enough to be somewhat interchangeable. Most cocktail recipes are developed as essentially advertising for specific brand names, which makes the recipes confusing for people who don't know much about them or which other spirits are likely to be similar enough in flavor profile to be used instead. This app does away with brand names for the base spirits altogether (though they're smart enough to include them in the database so you can still search for them) and tells you which of your character- driven liquers will work well enough when a recipe calls for something else. The only thing I actually need to use my experience-based bartending knowledge for when using the app is to make adjustments in recipe ratios to compensate for the flavor differences that I "know" to be true for such substitutions, but I can see future iterations of this app (or one like it) being able to do this as well if the flavor characteristics are appropriately coded in the back end. Great job you guys, this is the app I recommend to people who are looking to get going with their home bar.

Subscriptions ruined this app. Mere months ago Mixel would have earned five stars. I bought the recipe packs because I support the authors' work and creativity. It wasn't working out for them apparently, because they've been replaced with a regular subscription. Jeez, I grumble about paying for both Netflix and Hulu—what makes them think I'm interested in dropping an enormous amount of money regularly for something I drink twice a week?

Annoying. I’ve had this app for years. Every time they update, it loses my info so I have to start over with ingredients etc. Ridiculous. Also, the new monetization model is garbage. Why would anyone subscribe to this when countless stuff exists online and in the App Store. I paid for the recipe packs years ago, so I don’t mind paying- but if I had to subscribe I absolutely would have deleted.

Absolutely Amazing. In the 10+ years I’ve owned an iPhone, I’ve never once written a review for an app. This is the first one, and it’s well worth it. For years since I’ve started making cocktails, it’s always been a good bit of effort to look up recipes or scour through my resources to figure out what I could make with the ingredients I have. This app is so amazingly intuitive that it has everything I need to organize my cocktail menu based on what I have. I can tell whoever made this app went through a great amount of trouble compiling all the recipes from the various resources out there. So I was very happy to pay the $12 to receive that very extensive library. I can’t sing the praises for this app enough! This app definitely deserves the most amount of recognition among the other apps in this category. Also, love the retro video game graphics. Nice touch 😃

So far so good, but a suggestion. I just downloaded this a few days ago, and so far I really like it. I saw some older reviews that said it was hard to use, but I definitely disagree. Very straightforward. Easy to enter things I have in my bar right now, and has a few staples already added. What I would really like to do is link to my friends and share recipes with them, and maybe the ability to make recipes public to share with a community. I need to try it out for a bit longer, but I am considering paying for the full version.

Look forward to using it more and seeing more features. The thing that drew me in was he art style, being a huge old school gaming nerd. What kept me interested was the usefulness and potential of the app. I look forward to obtaining more packs in the near future, both to support the developers and obtain more recipes, and in time making this the primary way I look up drinks. I’m hopeful that with age this will be my primary resource for cocktail recipes. I do wonder if cocktails other users create or add will be available to the rest of the users. Fingers crossed!

Mixel - easy improvements needed. The function of the App is very good. However the UI makes it difficult to navigate, time consuming to add recipients, make updates & other functions. The graphics could use a lot of improvement, not sure if it is intentional, but using better quality, would make it easier to use & see. I tried to use my IPad external keyboard with the app and it didn’t work. A web version that allowed you to use a computer with full function keyboard to add existing recipes would be a nice add. I like the app, but the limitations and challenges for the user interface makes it difficult for me to recommend to others. Hoping to see improvements soon.

Bar tender and bar enthusiast’s companion. This app has been absolutely wonderful for home mixing, and we’ve enjoyed the huge variety of recipes in the paid version.

Literally my favorite app.. I’ve discovered so much about making cocktails, this app makes it fun. The interface takes some getting used to, but all the features I wanted are there.

Best of the bar apps - and a suggestion. This app gets its right and also has a very extensive database of drinks (especially with the premium IAP) and ingredients and can categorize and sort the list well. The only thing I’m missing right now is a little more control on the randomizer. It would be great to be able to say “show me a random recipe with base spirit X and where I have at least 90% of the ingredients on hand”. Future version? (Well, and maybe a way to mark a recipe as “don’t show me this one again” or whatever the opposite of favorite should be...)

Finally. I’ve tried every cocktail app from Lush to Highball to Old Sport. Mixel is clearly a cocktail lovers app by folks who clearly care about cocktails. Since this is a PG channel I’ll avoid the positive expletives, and pare back to a simple air-five 🙏🏻 When you unlock the content, you’re going to have a good time. Sure, some folks are going to make a fuss about the 8-bit graphics “not being for them,” but guess what? It’s cute. Great product photography is expensive for independent developers and (more importantly) completely unnecessary in this context. You have the recipe; just mix it (you’re clearly in need of a cocktail). Sure, for legibility, I’d opt for a single space font like Monaco, but that’s truly my only niggle. Smart shelf. Smart ingredients. Smart shopping list. It’s a no brainer. Well done to all involved.

The best home bartending app ever. Ive been searching for a proper home bartending app for months, and I've finally found the best one. It looks cool, has great functionality, and many features that are unique to this app. The only downside is i spend more on alcohol now after using the mixel maximizer! One piece of feedback - there should be some way of searching for user created recipes across mixel’s database (definitely not on as a default in the search option, as otherwise you can end up with some not so great drinks); it would be cool to see what the community can come up with. Additionally, some users can get verified (so like professional bartenders, etc. and their custom recipes come with that verification note)

Fantastic for discovering new recipes and building a home bar. The extensive catalog of cocktail recipes and system for telling you what you can make (either with the proper ingredients or close-enough substitutions) is wonderful for discovering new drinks, and the Mixel Maximizer function is incredible for telling you what to buy next to give you the most new possible recipes. This app has played a central role in my own exploration of cocktails and makes this hobby so much more approachable than it would otherwise be without it.

Download this, then buy Premium.. The 8-bit format took a moment or two to get used to, but once I got the hang of it, HOLY COW. I plugged in every ingredient I had in my pantry and was off to the races. 5 minutes after making my first Negroni, I bought the Premium pack—as one reviewer mentioned, it was what one fancy cocktail would cost. Well worth it.

Cool & Creative.. Very inventive, I don’t need the other apps I downloaded to test out - this will do fine. This app gives you all the freedom in the world to stock, learn, create and explore. It’s digital theme, sound effects and the ability to customize not only your digital bar but the little things like the font style, sound, and even the apps color options add a great touch - the little things add up. A great amount info and overall style, I love how we can build a collection of our own creations. I really don’t drink much, but it’s very interesting to try new drinks and experiment here and there ...wether we’re good at that or not. Doesn't stop me from taste testing. The app makes it more fun. And lastly this app was free but I see myself visiting their Mixel Shop soon to see what other ingredients are out there.

The only cocktail app you need. This is a perfect app for anyone interested in cocktails. Not only does it tell you what you can make with ingredients on hand but it also tells you what you could make if you just bought a missing ingredient. Or let’s say you just bought a new ingredient and you want to see what you can make with it. This app does that too! I’m drunk right note. Thanks Mixel!

Legit. At first I couldn’t understand anything about this app but I kept coming back because I liked the idea. I’m glad I took the time to learn because this app is great for working bartenders or people with home bars. I can stock an imaginary bar with the same ingredients I have at the bar I work at. When a customer says “surprise me” I can check out this app for drinks that I could make with the ingredients at hand and tweak to make it my own. Recipes are from reputable sources in the industry.

Fantastic Mixing App. With amazing art and great feature set is immediately became my go to cocktail curating app. With the developer actively working within r/cocktail community it makes for a much more receptive experience. Birdman thanks for listening to all of our feedback and I’m so excited for the new features and drink packs that are coming. You already got me hooked on the premium within 5 minutes of opening the app!

Really is good. I bought the whole package. Cheaper than a book. I list what I have in stock and easy to find recipes. I can bookmark what I want to make. Then review and mark what I have made and what I like. Super easy. Wide range of items. No issues. No glitches. Makes me happy.

Get this app. The most comprehensive and well organized cocktail app on the market. Thousands of recipes! Includes a Mixel calculator to identify which ingredient will allow you to create the most new recipes at your bar

Almost what I was looking for. This app is almost what I was looking for. It does a great job of keeping track of my bar inventory, however recipes are tedious to enter and if I don’t have an ingredient in my bar and it isn’t one of the preset items I can’t add it to the recipe without adding it to my inventory. Also when entering items into inventory there isn’t a category for garnishes or pantry items. These are the items that are not present and make it difficult to add recipes.

THE go-to cocktail app. After trying several kinds of drinks apps I settled on this one because it lives up to its theme of simplicity while having so many diverse drinks. I bought four different “drink packs”back in 2019 when they sold them for $.99 - $2.99 but now I would say that the 12 bucks a year would still be worth it.

Best cocktail app, bar none. This app is absolutely amazing for managing your bar and trying new recipes. I’d highly recommend paying for some of the premium recipes as they are great quality from highly renowned sources. I’ve tried a bunch of other cocktail apps and this one is hands down the best. Awesome devs who listen to the community. Highly recommend!

Indispensable. Love the 8-bit aesthetic and the intuitive usability, but most of all I love being able to search by ingredient. I can’t count the number of times I’ve had a few random bottles and Mixel has come to the rescue with quirky recipes to try out. You can add the contents of your liquor cabinet and it will prioritize recipes for which you already have the right ingredients. Like your very own Nintendo bartender. Highly recommended!

So accessible, and such a cool style. Absolutely love this app. Super useful, great 8-bit style through and through. Paid for the annual membership after 20 minutes playing with it, and two weeks later it’s already paid for itself. Well done, developers!!

Super useful! So clever. Wish I found this sooner! They thought of everything - tags on flavor profiles of drink recipes, the ability to add to a shopping list. It’s so easy to add your current ingredients and the visual is also extremely helpful. Love!

Silly 8 bit interface ruins app with great potential. Disappointed that an app with so much potential would throw it all away with a gimmicky and ill-suited graphical interface approach that significantly degrades usability and function. Possible the regular UI is just as poor and not simply the fault of the cheap graphics, but I couldn’t even get far enough in basic utility with the app to test that out.

I want to love this app, but I hate it, but I still use it. The functionality is great, but please use modern graphics. The novelty of the 8-bit digital wears off in about 23 milliseconds. This app hurts my eyes. I love the functionality, but I hate looking at this app. The moment another app comes out that duplicates this functionality (as well as depth of recipe database), I will drop Mixel and move to something that doesn’t cause me to lose my vision. In the mean time, I’m begrudgingly using Mixel. Edit: Per the developer’s recommendation, I tried out Lush cocktails on the App Store. The recommendation was spot on as Lush is a much better executed app. It sounds like Mixel made a poor design choice early on and now they are stuck with it. Either way, I’m getting great cocktail recipes from Lush and it doesn’t hurt my eyes to look at!!

A nice surprise. I’ve tried probably dozens of drink recipe and/or ingredient-tracking apps—I installed about four different ones, including this one, on the same day. I seem to gravitate to this one. When i need a quick recipe, or can’t decide what to make, this is the one I tend to open. I got a new liquor about a week ago, and realized I should add it to my “bar”—I opened the app and found that I’d already added it sometime in the last week. That was when I realized I was no longer testing this app, I was using it regularly and relying on it. Forget brand names, forget “Order Now!” buttons, this app will tell you what you can make and how to make it with what you have on hand. Simple mission, simple art, simple interface, simply useful.

Great, but no active improvement. Mixel is fantastic. It’s definitely the best app I’ve found for finding drinks, but it isn’t perfect. For example, you can’t hide a recipe, which seems pretty basic. The problem is, I don’t think that’s going to change, and that frustrates me when I am paying a subscription. This is a popular app, there’s a lot of folks sending their monthly fee to the devs. That it is essentially passive income for them is just a little frustrating. I dunno. Mixel is the best option for this type of app, but it is probably exactly as good as it will ever get.

Everything you need!. This app has it all! You can add the ingredients that you always have and it suggests drinks for you to make, or it will calculate how many recipes you can make with buying just one more ingredient. Super intuitive and fun to use!

Incredible!!. Absolutely love this app. Extremely helpful for a new bartender as well as someone experienced looking for their next creation! I love the maximizer function as it allows me to know which ingredient i need to buy next in order to maximize the amount of cocktails i can make! 5 Stars!

Excellent App for Budding Bartenders. This app has everything you need if you’re just getting into cocktails. It’s well designed, has tasty recipes, a good community of reviewers, and good sorting/search features. It’s totally worth the $12 for premium as well. Makes you feel like the ‘tender in Casino Royals, serving a classic Vesper to mysterious clientele.

Best bar app out there… still, could improve a couple things. I’ve tried every bar app I could find. This is the best. I won’t go into all the things this app does well - that’s been covered by many others. Instead, I’m going to mention the one thing that kept this app from a 5-star for me. Entering ingredient portions is too restrictive. For instance, you add 1/3 oz of an ingredient (which is a very rare measurement for mixing drinks), but you can’t add 3/8 oz (which, although uncommon, is certainly more common than 1/3 oz). That’s strange. And you can’t add more than 99 units of any particular measurement. So, for instance, if you’re wanting to save a recipe that calls for 120 grams of something (which is what I’m trying to do right now), you can’t. I think this could be easy solved by allowing users to manually type in portions and units if desire. Leave the scroll bars for common measurements, but let me type in 120 grams or 1.5 cans (cans is not a unit option). Add that, and this is a 5-star app.

Perfect. This app has got me way to excited. It has good quality recipes, with references and the images are timeless. I’ve already recommended this app to pretty much everyone I work with (I’m a bartender) I see so much potential in this app and hope it goes incredibly.

Great!. Used the free version for a few years now and it was good but recently bought the extended version and so many more recipes for collection in my bar. Found some really nice cocktails that I’ve been making on the regular now.

Worth the purchase. Fantastic app! Love how customisable it is. Probably one of the cleanest and easiest to use cocktail apps out there. Especially when it comes to suggesting what recipes can be made from your own pantry. Would really love to see landscape support for iPads in the next update!

Best out there. Soooo much content, constantly adding too, worth it. Customisable to the ingredients that you have, and if you're missing something they tell you what you can substitute it with? Mega helpful. Love it.

Excludes because of garnishes?. If you could put in an option to exclude garnishes that would be great... app is telling me I’m missing ingredients to a whisky sour because I don’t have a cherry and a slice of orange. Which I really don’t care about! 🙄

Great app. Best I’ve found for cocktails.

Fantastic app. Would highly recommend. Incredibly useful for anyone interested in cocktails whether they’re just starting out or are an experienced bartender, as it has calculated recommendations to maximise your purchases, and automatically finds all the recipes you’re able to create using your current bar. Plus the interface is super cute :)

No photo. I don’t like cocktail app without cocktail photo🤷🏻‍♂️

Crashes every time. Can’t access any recipes without the app crashing. Therefore, app totally useless.

A dinner party hero. Amazing app, buy the app grade it’s worth it. Took a little while to figure out but I now use this app every weekend.

Some updated wiped out all my ingredients. Hadn't used for a year or so, came back in to find all my hundreds of ingredients gone as well as all my custom recipes. Very disappointing.

Feature filled fun!. Great app! The art style is fun. The recipe finder is the easiest, most accurate one I’ve used. The shopping list feature is great. The drink records are well done, with bookmarking, rating, favouriting and “tried it” flags being available.

Best cocktail app. Clean design, easy filters and research function that works, lots of recipes and ways to track ingredients, shopping list, personal creations. Amazing!

Exactly what I was looking for. Great app, useful and complete, and with a responsive developer to boot!

Can’t live without it. I love this app. It’s basic and has such a clean look to it with the added fun twist of being pixelated. I use this app quite a bit and have to say that it’s worth purchasing the premium pack. Great job to the team at Mixel for this stellar app!

Better than the rest. I have tried every cocktail app available in the App Store. Nothing compares to this one. The functionality is outstanding. Amazing and intuitive filter criteria. Outstanding and often very original cocktails without being impossible for the average person to make. And great suggestions for substitutions when you are missing an ingredient but have something like it. I have stopped using all my other mixology apps. Don’t need them after this one.

How do you make. How do you make

Needs one time purchase. Great app locked behind a silly subscription with no one payment option

Fantastic App for Cocktails. Easy to use, great recipes and a fun look.

Probably the best - But NEEDS landscape on iPad Pro. When typing with a keyboard, it won’t rotate to landscape. There’s more than enough screen real estate to support this. Desperately needed.

Photo. I could be nice to take a photo(s) of the alcool bottle. And add some note for each one. So if i have 2 bottles of vodka and one is better for xyz drinks. Or just to find faster my bottle in my bar.

Best Cocktail App Ever. This is the best cocktail app. It’s great to track all your ingredients and to see the different cocktail combinations. Highly recommend for the at home mixologist.

Custom Recipes 👍. Great app. Great look. I love that I can copy a recipe and change it, or add my own.

Limited. Very limited selection of liquors. Not worth it.

Good app. This is the best cocktail recipe managing app I’ve found so far. However, there are a couple things I dislike. When I have just soju in my bar it counts it as vodka which gives me a bunch of drinks I wouldn’t want to make with soju. And secondly, I can’t figure out how to delete ingredients I’ve created. Maybe that ones just me And I can’t find it, but it’d at least be nice to have certain liquors as their own unique ingredient.

Applying Filter Annoying. Strange that you need to click 2-3 times just to apply a filter… seems you can only select a single filter so it’s strange it doesn’t apply immediately after selecting one from the list

Too hard to figure out. I want an app where you can put what ingredients you have and it will come up with drink recipes. Tho this app claims to do it... I couldn’t figure out how. If I ask my 14 yr old grandson to help me create my profile, would it be illegal cause he’s not 21? Hahaha I am gonna keep searching.

Wonderful Home Bar App. It is wonderful to have an app on hand that allows me to experiment with the various ingredients I already have. Thank you Mixel Cocktails!

Great app terrible monetization. The only way to unlock all the recipes in this app is a subscription, either $2/month of $12/year.

Future ideas...awesome app. I love this app. It’s awesome and really helps for parties. An idea would be to give you recipes based on what you already have after you add the bottles to your shelf. That would be great!

Meh. The pixel-art UI seems cool at first, but eventually wears off into a pool of frustration and confusion. The UI is hard to navigate, there’s not enough cocktails, overall this app has potential but still has a ways to go

Redesign looks great!. Have been using Mixel for years now. Found it through /r/cocktails, bought the full premium pack, and never looked back. It’s an amazing little app full of great drink recipes that actually allows you to utilize your arsenal. Can’t say enough good things. 100/100.

Finally…. …someone got this right. Nothing more to say than buy it and use it. Oh, and please develop the same product for cooking!

GREAT app, but I’ve noticed something...odd. Ok, so, odd thing: Mountain Dew is in the ingredient list but there are no drinks that use it...and I’ve bought every add on lol

Garbage. This app is no good. Contains very few liquor types. What app doesn't have hennessy? Fireball? Svedka?

Really good. I loved this app not only for the graphics but also for the lots of recipes, I’ve done only 3 of them but I’m practicing to improve my bartender skills, loved it!!!

Overall Excellent App. This app has been indispensable with my recent parties I’ve been hosting. As the bartender for my events, it’s allowed me to take my cocktail game to the next level. It was an easy choice to subscribe given the app’s value in this space. I am, however, very disappointed when it comes to content creation in this app. There are features here I’ve been trying to make use of to no avail. So far I have created a few ingredients that I didn’t find listed. Of those, almost all disappeared moments after saving them. Worse yet, creating a new cocktail this morning, I spent a good deal of time copying down all the pertinent info into the app, a detailed history, instructions, tasting notes, etc. Similarly to the mysteriously disappearing ingredients, my cocktail recipe, after saving and showing up for several minutes, mysteriously disappeared — never to be seen again. I would love to share more cocktails with the community and use them in the app for my own reference, but the time I take from my day to transfer these, only to see them disappear moments later, stops me in my tracks. I’m a busy man, and don’t have time to waste with flaky apps that don’t work. So while I will continue to use this as an excellent reference, the inability to depend upon it for adding missing content leaves me scratching my head as to where it fits into my workflow and rethinking that subscription. I had hoped it would be my one-stop-shop, but I think I’ll have to look elsewhere to record my menus and drink creations from other sources. Maybe these issues will be fixed in the future. Until then, 4 stars for a very useful reference. However, with content creation on the rocks, I can’t recommend it if your needs fall into that category.

If I could.. If I could rate this out of 100 it’s a 69.69

A home bartenders best friend. This app is the best resource for making drinks, and managing your bar’s inventory I could imagine. It is essential to me now.

Creative Quarantini!. We’re making a lot of cocktails and are tweeking recipes to our palate. Mixel is VERY helpful to keep us organized! Love it!

Cool App. I was just a wounded Boy who did not know how to mix drinks. Now I can thanks to this 8-bit Mario style hipster bar app.

Amazing. I love the art and creativity. I’m also very fond of the free options even though the paid options aren’t too expensive. I’d make it a 4.5/5 if I could. Things I’d like to see: - Options to add more backgrounds and glass types (even as paid add-on’s) - A one-time purchase option. I don’t like subscriptions, but I’d like all the good stuff if I could have it. - The ability to add specific brands of alcohol as ingredients (they could have a google plug to pull from public data.)

Random idea. I love this app! The images are not as good as other cocktail apps, but I get the Mixel/Pixel association. It would be great if the random feature would only pick a random recipe based on what you already have on hand.

Good but...... Why can’t I sort based off others reviews of a recipe? That just seems like a given if you’re going to ask for peoples reviews of cocktails. Need that feature added.

WOW!!!. Such a great app! Always struggled to figure out drinks that I could make with my closet of random drinks but with the app I don’t have to worry about it. Also, the drinks that are in the shops seem totally worth it! Best cocktail app by far!

Lost data. This was an excellent app, but now I’ve lost all my data, including recipes and bar stock. Really disappointing.

Best cocktail app!. The best on the market! It has everything you need, at home or as a professional bartender.

UX completely non-intuitive. I tried for five minutes to figure out how to add ingredients to my bar, but I could only trash them, open information about them, and add them to my shopping list. And I couldn’t find the shopping list. It’s a great idea, but it’s impossible to use.

Great Concept. This is a great concept. The graphics and fonts are a mess. Very hard to read. I’d suggest offering a non 8-bit option.

Very confusing. Couldn’t even figure out to follow the tutorial. Useless app.

Bad info. I wanted an app that can show me the other i friends to to drinks. I am inexperienced so i was hopping the “25 most used” non-alcoholic drinks would only have non alcoholic but half the list is alcohol

Awesome app for beginner bartenders.. Okay I love this apps asthetic and simplicity. I just wish I can get back to the “Bar” the middle tab.

Best app out there but found a glitch. I love the app but I’ve noticed that when you share a drink with a friend that has a user created ingredient it doesn’t show up. Any idea how to fix this?

Best app ever!. Amazing for making drinks, creating new recipes, and using your ingredients!

It’s really nice!. I am a huge fan of this app! I love the art style! I love that I can add my own recipes and then adjust them when I need to make larger amounts. It would be great if the iPad App had a landscape view since most of the time I’m using the iPad is when it’s connected to the keyboard.

Love it. By far the best Mix App. Tons of recipes with a clean, intuitive, and fun UI. The search and filter work really good too so you’re not searching everywhere for things.

Great idea.... ...however, the pixel aesthetic makes it incredibly hard to read or understand anything on the screen. It’s impossible to use with one hand as all of the actions are up top. Shame really as I would love to use the app if the design wasn’t so bad.

Best cocktail app on iOS. My go to cocktail app. I often pick it up over my cocktail recipe books.

Awful graphics, hot mess. Down loaded and promptly deleted. The graphics are awful and hard on the eyes. It’s not intuitive. Drinks are very limited. No thank you,

Great App. Well thought out. It does exactly what you want it to do and then some. Thumbs up to the maker.

A complaint. 5 star game/app but I don’t know how much alcohol and sugar is in the ingredients also I can’t add alcohol volume

The best app. This app is great! We have been using it to make all sorts of cocktails at home, and have learned so much about what we can do with fun and new ingredients!!

$1.99/month Subscription. I was about to buy the $11.99 full recipe unlock, but realized there were some recipe lists in the “coming soon” category. I decided to update my app to see if those recipe lists had been added, only to find that the in-app purchases for recipe lists had been replaced with subscriptions. I really like the app, but there’s no chance I’m going to spend $12/year or $2/month on a recipe list.

A really really well made app. I use this almost everyday. Exactly what you are looking for! Thanks Mixel!

Beware of Subscription. There’s so much to like about this app, the art style seems to be a bit divisive, but it’s really quite charming. Unfortunately almost all the recipes are locked behind a subscription. There’s not much value without it, and no option for a one-time purchase.

Nope - don’t waste yer time. Cool, does not work.

Cute at first, but frustrating to read on a phone.. Maybe the text is prettier on a tablet, but it’s just too small and funky to be enjoyable on iPhone SE screen. Functionality seems great. Wish I could apply a new font package.

Hurts the eyes. Sorry but the graphics in this app are so bad it’s painful. I’m not sure what the savings was or what you were after but it’s pretty much a fail. Also you can easily find any cocktail recipe for any given ingredient online so I’m not sure why anyone would pay for these.

The Winner Bar none!. Absolutely love the app! It’s clean and has a great UI. I just want to leave a few suggestions that hopefully see life in future - Ability to choose a few cocktails and create cocktail menus for parties would be awesome! Bonus if there’s a way to generate a QR Code that opens a link. - Monthly cocktails added. There are so many places to pull from (YouTube, Instagram, PunchDrink, ImBibe) might be difficult though. - Add a section users navigate to that includes ALL user submitted cocktails so fellow users can sift through them and see what else is out there. - Cocktail competions where users submit their own drink and others can vote for winners. Be it monthly / Bi-monthly etc, could be fun and create more of a community.
