Great game. Before I download games I always check the reviews, 5 star and 1 star. This has a lot of good reviews, but the one star reviews were mostly talking about the horrible graphics and how boring the game was. I got it and tried it out, and LOVED IT. Obviously the graphics are suppose to be how they are and I love it. And I love the art design and the colorless thing they got goin on. And the game isn’t boring, I sit for hours playing it, but it isn’t for everyone. Some might call it a waste of time, but others might really love it like I do. Overall, great game and creative idea. I do recommend at least trying this game out.

Fun! But.... Currently I’m on floor 7-8, and it crashes whenever I pass through the door and had the same problem back on floor 6 and was very frustrating since I had to re-do the entirety of 6 whenever I complete floor 7 and it crashes.

Great game its very unique. This is a must download it has so much charm for a mobile game and is very challenging in the later stages its starts off pretty easy but works up i would definitely recommend buying the no ads as there is quite a lot.

Old school style game. This game is very enjoyable to play it’s like an old school game the graphics are pixel and retro which I enjoy and so is the game play, the skill level you need is not too high because this game is not dragon’s lair level of hard but it is still a challenge when you get to the higher levels

I want to like this game.... ...but the inability to quickly tell when something is still one step away or right in front of you is a real problem in a game like this. It’s still a fun time, but maybe something as simple as making the things right in front of you have a stronger black outline would fix the problem?

Fun, unique, and addicting!. I’ve been trying to find a game that could get me addicted while also being entertaining to play without becoming bored of the repetitiveness eventually. This game is not only fun, but it provides new enemies consistently! While there are some ads, I just turn on airplane mode, load the game, then turn off airplane mode and that gets rid of the ads. Highly recommend this game!

Awesome Game!!. I don’t even know where to start! This game is just so awesome! It can get a bit frustrating, but the balance between fun and challenging is what either makes or breaks a game! In order to make a good game, it’s got to be easy to play and yet difficult to master. This game shows both qualities! Awesome game, and keep making great games.

A great gane, minor probelm. I love the new sprint game that you all have made. It’s interactive, based upon memory and every new monster is just different from each single one. But the problem I wanted to say is that it doesn’t load up the proceeding level sometimes and just stays as a white screen. I love this game so hopefully y’all can please fix this itty bitty issue.

Great reflex/memory game. Boss pattern below. The one brutally unfair thing is the final boss pattern: the only new monster from level 14 to 15 is the final boss, who appears at the end of the level (which is incredibly hard to reach and if you do you’ll likely have no spare time left), and has a lengthy and intricate pattern. Below is the pattern so others may have an easier time with it. Sword x 7, Right, Sword x 3, Left, Sword x 2, Shield, Sword x 8, Right, Sword x 3, Left, Sword x 2, Shield, Sword This will kill the boss, but you will still need to walk forward and Sword the door open like other levels to finish. Hope this is useful, thanks for more quality content Nitrome (though I’m not sure I’d call it a “rogue-lite” :p ) Also, anyone who beats this with one hand... I don’t know what you’re doing but I’m impressed. This was a two [very sweaty] thumbs game for me, and I give it two [very sweaty] thumbs up :)

Very fun game but with one REALLY annoying feature. This game is almost perfect. The gameplay is fun, challenging, and definitely takes quick thinking. The only problem that I have with this game is the fact that every time you fail a level you haven’t completed, you have to go back to the previous level. Before people think “just git gud”, I think this just makes the game more repetitive and frustrating than difficult. Maybe make it so you have at least 3 tries before you go back to the previous level. Hope you see this Nitrome! Amazing game!

Disappointed. Kinda fun, but re-dungeon exists by the same developers, and its a phenomenal game that takes a similar idea and does much more with it. Maybe this just isnt my jam, but it seems pretty shallow

One concern. Fun game but one problem I have is that this game requires complete focus and staring at these visuals for too long hurts my eyes. It’s all black and white so the contrast can mess with my eyes too. Maybe if there was a different color palate it would be more bearable

Love it!. The game is not for everyone but it has a minimalistic and retro art style that I really like. The game play is super fast and requires some memorization and a lot of reflex. I’m on level 13 so far and I’m loving it. Plus the weapons and armors are great.

Bad game... Very nice art and concept. Execution is beyond understanding. Upgrading weapons cost hundreds of gold. One level gets you around 3-5 gold. Are you kidding me? I just started the game and i dont want to grind already. So instead you make players watch endless ads to get 50 gold per video. Pretty much the whole game is watchng ads to get gold to upgrade. For what? Meh.. will go spend my time on better games.

Great game.... It’s a great game don’t get me wrong, the monster designs are really creative and fun and the gameplay is addictive too. My only complains lie within the fact that I have great difficulty seeing how close I actually am to an enemy which would cause me to swing too early. In a game all about being quick this really messes with my flow and I’d appreciate it if you made it a bit more clear. (Faded until close then bold colors, indicator, etc..) keep up the great work though!

Not much of a game here. I just uninstalled this game, because it stopped being fun. It’s not really an RPG; it’s just a sequence of enemies where you have to memorize the moves to beat them. It goes from really easy to really hard, without anything in between. If you make a single mistake in the level, you might as well give up and start over, because a single mistake will take off enough time that you probably can’t complete the level. And as other people mentioned, all of the enemies and corners look a little too far away, so it’s easy to take an extra step by mistake. Sorry Nitrome: There’s just not much of a game here.

Missing SOUNDS!!!!. Missing SOUNDS!!!! All Nitrome games I’ve downloaded are pretty fun but they are all missing their soundtracks and FX! I hope this helps the developers and isn’t lost on them!

A lot of fun but frustrating. Edit: I beat level 15 and I assumed it was the end but I got a bunch of levels afterwards that are really short and all end with the boss fight with the giant skeleton. I think this is just a glitch. Also the infinite dungeon mode has stopped functioning and only spawns empty hallways I’m a big fan of nitrome games and I like the gameplay of sprint rpg but the leveling system and the lack of any form of power up is a little aggravating. For example, if you fail a locked level the game requires you to repeat the previous level but also doesn’t allow you to replay any lower levels. I would like to be able to replay earlier levels to see how fast I can finish them. I also thought you’d be able to buy better items like new boots that allow you to take one step too far into an enemy without losing time (usable once or twice per level). As of now the items are just cosmetic add ons. And as fun as hitting enemies with a bone is, for 150 coins I wish it did something. I just don’t feel any motivation to collect coins. They seem incidental

For all you haters my (good) opinion of sprint rpg. You just hate the game because it’s hard just appreciate the work and time the people put into this!! Don’t be a hater just think about all the good thing in this game! Instead of thinking about all the bad things!! If the game is hard because of the timer then that’s good because if it’s hard then it will take time to beat and no one wants a 5-30 minute game! If you want to beat an easy game then you won’t feel proud you might feel proud because you beat a game but the game was easy! If the game is easy then it won’t be that cool!! In conclusion appreciate all the time and work and time and just know that these people put their work and time into this just so you could hate on it!! Sprint RPG is a good game.

Great game! 🤩. I love the great arcade style of the game! Every single level brings new surprises! The one thing that I would like is for you to actually describe each monster in the monster dictionary. Even give them a name! This is the only thing I could think could improve with this game. Keep on adding levels and monsters with each new update. Thank you!

Crazy hard and I love it. I thought it was too easy when I first started because the button you needed to press was highlighted, but quickly realized you’re not gonna be looking at the buttons for practically the whole game, it become muscle memory once you get further, Great job Nitrome!

Fun but flawed. Word for word I agree with one of the first guys review you see when looking at the game in the store his name was Sparktier I believe. To unlock a level you must beat the level that also comes after it and that is logic that is so absurd I don’t have a single thought as to why do that. I too am stuck on the last level because getting to the boss requires a perfect and speedy input run. That’s not the huge issue it’s having to replay level 14 every time I don’t finish the boss just so I can attempt level 15 again which has the final boss at the end. It’s just annoying because level 14 as well just requires really fast input as the countdown timer is fast.

Good game but.... I finally beat the game, getting past the 16th level, but now there is a weird glitch where it adds another level of a really short level, that adds another end boss and you can just keep going. I thought that was worth mentioning

Lots of ads and missed opportunity for player reward. Since the game demands that levels be finished faster and faster there’s a huge increase in the number of ads you have to watch within the first couple levels. This pairs terribly with when you fail locked levels you have to repeat the previous one again. If you’re lacking in accuracy and speed all it does is punish you. It seems like there was a missed opportunity with the inventory slots. There ought to be an item class that you can only equip one or two of. Examples a weapon that kills things quicker/hit from further away if you attack too soon, shoes that let you run into corners without losing time, offhand item that gives back a little time when you tap it, headwear that highlights trapped chests or other surprise features. A lot could’ve been done to curb the difficulty but was missed.

Great job Nitrome! 👍 but.... You guys are the best. Been with ya since the ol' Hot Air days. This game is so well designed as far as art style and overall gameplay. Lots and lots of ads which gets annoying. Maybe show ads more when you die and not as much after you beat a level? Pretty lame to be rewarded with an ad after accomplishing some of the harder levels. Also, let's say you beat level 11 so now you can play level 12. If you back out and come back, level 12 is locked again and you have to beat 11 again which doesn't seem to be right. Add power ups!!! At least for Endless Mode. Spice it up, makes spending coins on upgrades more motivating than cosmetics. Overall, I like it a lot! Keep improving it and keep up the great work guys!

Good, but lacking. It’s a good game, I won’t say it isn’t, lots of fun and replayability. I just don’t find much fun in progressing, since all you get is money for what seems to be only used for cosmetic changes. I would like it more if it had upgrades that actually did something, but the Nitrome group doesn’t seem to like upgrades that much, since most of their games only have cosmetic upgrades.

IAPs broken. Really fun first person rpg that feels a bit like a rhythm game. The one star is because the ads are pretty intrusive and the in app purchases button to remove them doesn’t seem to be working

Depth perception - Unfortunately Unplayable. A game is only challenging in a fun way if there are super clear rules, and if it feels fair. Dark Souls, for instance, you know what you’re about to get hit. You know what the enemy looks like in front of you. It’s your fault for getting hit. This game, I can’t say shares the same culpability. Every corner looks 1 more step forward and you lose health. Every enemy seems like they’re one step too far away. Look - I made plenty of mistakes playing this game. I could learn from them and I don’t get frustrated from those. But if I die in this game due to corners that are a mile away, or a bat that seems like you’d need a bow and arrow to hit, I don’t feel like I’ll learn from this. I just feel frustrated and like this is a bad game. It’s not a fair game, and the challenge just comes from the dev/art teams inability to create graphics that make the game clear. It’s not difficult, it’s just bad.

Great concept, poor delivery. Let me say first that I do like this game. I love the aesthetic and concept of crawling through a dungeon and making your way to the end. I’m normally not a fan of timed games where I feel rushed but I made an exception with this one. Earning gold to buy different accessories was fun and finding the treasures throughout the game was something to look forward to each time I played. However, the one MAJOR complaint I have is the fact that when you don’t complete a level they make you go to the previously level before you can make progress again. What the friggin heck? How does that make any sense? Can’t be from an money perspective because you can’t buy a way to surpass this. Only spend money on gold that only gives you cosmetic items. So why make it so you get set back a level? It’s only purpose is to agitate the player knowing when you were this close to finishing a level that you have to go back to the previous one. Devs, please give me a reason as to why you implemented this. I’m stuck on 15 but continuously have to do 14 just to get there. What other game makes you do this? Would it make sense in super Mario bro’s to go back to lvl 1 because you can’t beat lvl 2? Totally asinine. I wish this game was more fleshed out but for what it is I have no motivation to further complete the game. No worth my time. Glad I didn’t spend any money on this game because it ain’t worth it to anybody. Try again nitrile.

Amazing Game, Very Difficult. At first, the game can be very frustrating and make you want to quit because it is hard to judge the distance to an enemy or object. However, if you get used to that and understand the mechanics of the game it is very entertaining. I would recommend this game, as long you have enough patience to play it as it’s meant to be played. I do have one suggestion, when you encounter a new enemy, it is sometimes hard to learn the combo to defeat that certain enemy. Currently, if you fail the level, the correct sequence is not put into the journal thingy. I suggest that it is put into the journal thingy when you encounter that enemy.

Good game but bugged?. Fun memory/speed game with an rpg theme. Took me a little bit to figure out how the game is played and what the coins are used for. I like that the game is skill based and not p2w. My only gripe is the bug that makes you replay a level once you beat it. Happened multiple times to me (last one was level 7 for me) and it is quite annoying. EDIT: Maybe repeating a level is because I died? If its not a bug, its not a good feeling to repeat a level.

Good concept, bad depth perception. I was reading the reviews and saw many people talking about the depth perception being bad. I decided to try it out anyways, and man, it’s worse than I could have ever imagined. It’s almost unplayable taking it slow, let alone speeding through it like the point of the game suggests. It is simply not playable with the current depth perception, and I hope they fix it, because it would otherwise be an amazing little game.

Pretty Good. I downloaded this game the day it came out and I honestly didn’t like it that much, but I came back to it again yesterday and I’ve actually had a fun time getting through it so far. However, it’s quite annoying that you can’t redo a level when you mess up one time. Besides that, I don’t have any other complaints!

I’m impressed with this game. The creators absolutely nailed the indie style, especially for a mobile game. Everything is smooth and satisfying to interact with. It’s a simple concept for a game, however; somehow I haven’t got bored. The customization options and the collectibles were a good touch to give more to do in the game. The developers also did a good job on the ads as well. Ads only pop up when you die, which just gives you extra incentive to put effort to not die. I’m even considering buying the ad free version just because how well done this game is.

Genuinely a good game. A beautiful balance of simplicity and complexity make up this skill-based arcade game. Never feels unfair. Paying for the premium is worth it. Beautiful in terms of both aesthetics and game design. If I could give suggestions to the developers, though, I recommend adding something renewable that costs coins, such as one extra life or something that protects you from one mistake. Then coins won't lose their value once everything has been purchased. On the other hand, the game shouldn't be pay to win, so the renewable item purchases would have to be once-per-day and/or not such an immense benefit as to tip the scales entirely in favor of success. Also, seeing more work on the score system, and maybe even a leaderboard, would be a good idea to increase the amount of intrinsic motivation in the game. My suggestions are not complaints, however, and this game is probably my favorite this year. Thank you for gifting this to the world.

Punishing. I love the idea of this game, but I’m stuck on the eighth level. It seems like I just need to make two mistakes and I’m dead. Sure, I could watch an ad to continue, but that feels like cheating. If the rest of the game is going to be even more difficult, I’m not going to waste my time.

Challenging Masterpiece. 8/10 Twitch reflex/Pattern recognition game with a unique art style and blazing gameplay. Would recommend. Holy heck Level 15 is hard, guys. Even IF you manage to get the boss at the end, he takes an extended amount of hits to take down. I finally beat him after cracking the pattern needed to attack him. Very rewarding, albeit punishing, game. I’m obsessed with cracking the glyph language used to write the enemy names and other text in the attack pattern book. Seems like an homage to Hyper Light Drifter at the very least, but hopefully there’s some lore or Easter eggs hidden within those pages 👀 For the dev(s), great work. I have the occasional issue with the controls not registering a tap here or there, which results in an almost instant loss on level 15 in particular. The challenge level feels a tad hardcore (which I love), but maybe consider adding an easy/hard mode? Easy mode could even be the same 1-15 levels except with a small handicap such as a shield that protects you from your first mistake or the meter draining 20% slower. I love the game where it’s at but am trying to think about reaching a wider audience. Thanks for reading <3

More levels. I love this game. The only thing I would like to see in the future is probably more levels thank you for the game.

Addictive. I grew up on 1st person dungeon crawls like Bard’s Tale, so it’s wired into my brain to love the design aesthetic here. Really it’s almost a rhythm game minus music. You have to memorize the right combos for each enemy. Starting at about level 10, you really can’t afford to make a single mistake, so it becomes very challenging. Overall it’s very fun and addictive, but I’d love to see a little more depth on the “RPG” side. Gaining a level has no appreciable effect (in fact it does not even say what level you are), and items you buy are purely cosmetic. I wish there was some kind time bonus that could be either found or cast as a spell. Multiple paths through the dungeon would be cool, even if arbitrary, creating more of a feeling of exploration. How about some traps as well as just monsters? Fun game overall, and a keeper, but maybe an update or two away from greatness.

One of the best games ever. I haven’t played mobile games in a while but this was a great refresher. I loved it and beat it. I loved the level mechanism that made it so you have to beat two levels in a row in order to progress, I saw others complaining but it was obviously purposeful.... it was frustrating but also made the game a lot more interesting. It might have been nicer if the game were a little more rewarding for speed, since it was really fun just spamming the buttons to go really fast, but making a few mistakes as a result usually caused me to lose. To beat the game I actually had to slow down and focus so I didn’t make any mistakes. More of a time reward after you do some insanely fast maneuvering might be fun. But I respect the design and have been playing nitrome games since the start <3

I know this is going to be a weird comment.. But seeing/playing your game made me want to draw again...it’s so simple and cute. If only there was a instagram page or blog where I can follow you to see more of your ideas for inspiration.

Fun, but buggy.. Challenging and fun, but there is a particular bug that is very frustrating. Getting to the end of a level (even with time to spare) ends with a white screen. You then have to act as if exiting the game for the screen to bring up the pause menu. Once you resume, the screen remains white, the timer running out sound goes off, and once the screen returns you get a game over. Kinda frustrating when the levels are pretty unforgiving to begin with.

I hate this game. This game makes me want to scream. This is for multiple reasons. One, the timer is constantly going down to the point where you can hardly make a single mistake. You also feel pressed for time making you go faster and make more mistakes. This would be fun if the game was actually playable. Two, the signals are terrible. I can never tell what I am supposed to do, yes it shows a button prompt on the buttons, but your eyes are not on the buttons, they are on the creatures and the timer. Also the creatures and walls require you to move to them way sooner than you expect. I have lost the run multiple times to just misjudging the distance. Three, the level progression. In order to progress through this game, not only do you have to play through the level you just did again, but you also have to finish the next level, or else it won’t be unlocked, and when you die, and decide to leave to check out the optional cosmetics or something, the game makes fun of you for backing out and calls you a chicken. This game makes me so mad, it is worse than any other game I have played in my life, and I have played some brutal games. When I was younger, I used to associate Nitrome with mediocre games that were ok time killers. Now I associate this company with utter garbage, that is not worth a minute of your time.

One issue. Really really good game, super fun! I keep getting an issue where after a level it will cut to a white screen and the game will freeze until I restart the app. And then I will have to repeat the level again.

Awesome game! Just needs more levels. I’ve never been as addicted to a mobile game as I have this one. While challenging, the difficulty ramp-up from level to level is perfect. However, I wish coins actually had a use instead of aesthetic/sound changes, but this isn’t too big of an issue. Whatever you do, PLEASE add more levels and keep the difficulty right where it’s at. I really enjoy how it takes you back to the previous level if you fail — gives more of a sense of risk. Great game!

Depth Perception Nitrome!!. I love this game, the design, the enemies, the different weapons and armors, but one thing that REALLY annoys me is the lack of depth perception. When I’m about to turn I click one more time and I loose health. That is REALLY annoying. And when I am facing some of the smaller enemies, I click forward once more, BAM, I lost health. And I know that you can tell because it turned black but I still have troubles with this. Maybe this is part of the game, but for now, I dunno! One more thing about this is that mostly all of the time when you open chests, there is garbage, or nothing at all! I am pretty new to the game so that might be the problem but please make finding at least not very affective armor, more occasional. Every thing else about this game, makes the rustic style everyone is looking for. Thank you if u read this!!

I'm never playing this again. Oh my god the precision and rate at which you have to put in the combos is brain bending. It took me about a week to finally beat the minute long last level. I had to record my runs to study the boss combo. The beautiful visual and audio carried this overly frustrating game hard. My main complaint is that the telegraphing is never really clear, this combined with intense urgency makes for a frustration molotov. It feels needlessly frustrating. When I need to turn left, it looks like I'm not yet at the corner, all the chests look alike, all the skeletons look alike. Sure that adds challenge but I felt it took away from the fun.

Very Exciting Game!. I would totally recommend this game to people who love RPGs. This game is really exciting combat and exploration, and also gives you a bit of a challenge. You can unlock all sorts of gear and even try out an endless mode! People should definitely play this game!

Good Game / Ad Frequency Warning. I think this is a decent game concept, and it's executed decently in my opinion aside from depth perception challenges. The questionable depth perception is likely purposeful to evoke mistakes, so this could be a difference in my tastes versus the developer's tastes. After every two runs (roughly 30 seconds each run) there will be a 5 skippable ad. Upon dying, you must wait 10 seconds and then get a 5 second skippable ad, or watch a 30 second ad to continue. When you die, you will need to repeat the previous level before attempting the the new level again. I'd say this design would be more permissible if the frequency of ads in the game were reduced. Repeating the same level in my experience is not as fun as one might think it is. The learning curve is fast, but there are still basic purposeful misrepresentations of enemies and the graphics that will cause one to make a mistake. Overall, decent game. Many ads(~1 ad every minute). Level repetition on loss.

You weren’t kidding.. This game has caused me to pull hair out. It’s annoyingly fun and addictive. Pisses me off that I have to get faster to beat some of the levels, but I sit and think about it and that’s the point. Keep up the good work. Would love to see what you could do with RPG style play.

Praise nitrome. I always come back to nitrome because I love the 16 n 8 bit games they make. Also this game is great I love the music in it and the graphics make me want to inhale jars of farts to see more of this game.thank u for this and don’t leave this game to die in the dust. 10/10 ign bois

Fun but frustrating. Fun concept but SUPER frustrating that when you lose a level you have to do the PREVIOUS level again instead of being able to retry the one you’re up to... made me lose interest

Confused. I keep getting hurt by something that isn’t there. I the very beginning. Can you fix this bug?

Simple and Fun!. I thought this game is challenging but I’m surprised that I thoroughly enjoyed it. I love the simplicity and art style of the game.

Dure. Le jeux est incroyablement dur a partir du niveau 9. Mais le style graphique le rattrape et il est très addictif. Je recommande si vous aimez les jeux difficiles!👌🏻

Oddly satisfying. The game is frustrating to learn, but once you start being able to pick up the patterns and react accordingly, it becomes quite fun. It’s neat that there’s an “infinite” mode and a level based mode, and there’s a new element introduced in each level that can show up in the infinite mode once you unlock that level. I like the graphics and the sound effects a lot. The sfx were extremely useful in helping me beat the levels. Even though you can change the items you use, I ended up sticking to one particular set because I found that even changing the sound effects would throw off my concentration. But now that I’ve cleared the levels, I think they would be fun to play around with. I think the levels system could make or break people’s enjoyment of the game. When you go to a level, you have up to two chances to beat it, otherwise you have to beat the previous level again to try that next level. On one hand, this allows you to hone your skills and gain familiarity with the enemies as you face the newer obstacles. But it also seems like something that is entirely unnecessary and come across like it’s just there to make the game longer without any rhyme or reason. Personally, I’m fine with the current system, but I kind of wish the game let you continue more than once with the coin cost going up with each subsequent continue within a given run. Coins basically become useless once you have every item and any that I used just for continued was almost at no cost considering the game is very generous with coins. Overall, it’s a demanding game, but I enjoyed it. It’s worth checking out if you have a lot of time to spare.

Fun idea, not well made. This game is fun and has some quirky outfit options, but the bad part about this game is that it messes up your run each and every time, is that it makes you go faster, but can’t keep up with what you clicks. I’ve been needing to restart my game and clean my screen for each run because I’m trying to complete the final boss to be done with it, but one wrong move whether it be your mistake or not, minus well restart. -side note- I feel that it’s also unfair that it can’t register your clicks but makes you go faster with the counting down clock, and also, when you get half way, the timer goes even faster with or without mistakes.

Not bad. Game isn't too shabby once you learn to make less mistakes, removing ads costs 4$ which seems like a fair price to pay so long as improvements keep being made to increase the lifespan of gameplay

Epic!. I love this game, it’s very challenging and fast paced. It does not get boring and is my #1 choice to play for whenever I need a game to pass the time. Once you learn all the mechanics and patterns it starts to become really enjoyable. And not to mention, there’s a new mechanic introduced every single level. This is great, because it gets you intrigued and it doesn’t feel repetitive at all. Overall, it’s a very solid game. I do have one little nitpick though, and that is the fact that you have to play the previous level again if you lose 1 or 2 times. In my opinion, I don’t think it affects the gameplay that much. You still feel motivated to play afterwards, but it just feels wrong. It really just feels like that mechanic was added just so that gameplay time would increase and there were many other solutions I’m pretty sure you could’ve done.

So much fun. Simple concept but surprisingly so much fun to play. Gameplay is satisfying and fast paced. Easy to pickup and play. The exact kind of mobile game I love.

Stops?. For some reason it always stops for me at the 4th level any reasons?

Fantastic!. This game is a retro throwback to the original Gameboy. It makes me so excited and keep coming back to play even though it’s hard like classic games! Thanks so much for making it. Easily my favourite mobile game :)

Different maps please. Needs more variety

Unable to progress past first ad. The first ad that plays on the screen never finishes and has no way to close it or advance. So I played two levels and then I force quit the game and uninstalled.

Love your game!. Thank you.Weapons are funny!

Nitrome rocks !. Great idea! Work on depth perception lil bit. Thanks ! Keep it coming nitrome you guys rock !

Bruh. So I downloaded flappy bird 0/10 Terrible controls and you can’t even buy it anymore

Love this game. This game is fun I love how it gets more complicated by level and how if your going to quickly you louse time I think this is a great game.

Great, but needs some work.. This game is a wonderful pixel art re(action) game. Notice how I said reaction? I put the action part in parentheses because that is this game’s genre. It is not an RPG. Yes, there are items to collect. Yes there are things to equip. However, the former is just collectibles that (as far as I can see) do nothing, and the latter either filters visuals, makes a new sound whenever you walk/attack, or just looks pretty in your left hand. Also, usually there is a story trying to be told in RPG’s, thus “Role Playing Game.” Your goal in this game is just to kill monsters in a linear dungeon with no dialogue, story or reason. Thus, this is an action game. A better name for it would probably be “Dungeon Run.” Going back to the game itself. The art is absolutely wonderful, if simple. The whole game takes place in a huge dungeon complex filled with monsters big and small. And your goal as the player is to make it through all of the levels in the dungeon, while collecting odd trinkets and money from chests. Using your money you can purchase equipment before returning to the depths back on the surface. Gameplay, much like the visuals, is rather simple. There are five buttons, foreword, left, right, defend/evade and attack. Each enemy has a different combination, some run after being hit resulting in the combo hit-forward/sideways-hit, others just stand there and take it. If you mess up a combo, you get a penalty. That penalty being a reduction of your remaining time, bringing me to this games other mechanic. Every level has a time limit displayed at the top of the screen, and its actually pretty simple, the time ticks down every second, and a chunk is lost whenever you make a mistake. Endless mode is what I consider to be training mode for players struggling in the main mode, and a way to continue playing after finishing the main levels. My only real peeve with this mode is the fact it, much like this games title, is misleading. It still has a time limit. So no matter what, there will still be an end, this could be easily fixed by converting the time limit bar at the top to a health bar, resulting in a game over still being possible, while not having a misleading name for a mode. Other than that, there is a dog(?) that gives you money if you touch it at the bottom of the item shelf, and the game needs a resolution change for the 2018 iPad Pros.

Crash’s almost after every run. Fun game. Simple not much to it. But crashes after every run so not going to play it

Great game. Reminded me of hammer bomb, so I downloaded it immediately and I love this game

Glitching. This has been a awful experience evey time I hit the wrong button it automatically closes the game out to the Home Screen and the timer freezes then the whole game freezes up

Low res?. I understand the visuals are on purpose but why does it look so bad? Everything looks low res and just ugly.

Best game of the year. Great game to play at work or down time. Love the sound effects and well worth to buy the no ads

Great. The only mobile game I can say I really like it play. Also the only review I care to leave.

Ehh. Alright game, but get ready to spend more time watching ads then playing.

Really good!. :D

Plays sound even when phone is on vibrate.. The game plays sound even when the phone is on silent. Please fix this.

Not an RPG. Would be great if if actually was an RPG. The core game mechanic is fine, but it only has superficial RPG elements where you get meaningless rewards for meaningless achievements. At least make it so you can spend gold on extra continues.

Great!. Before you judge the game because of graphics just know that they really don’t matter. I actually have grown to like them. The game is fun and simple!

Nice. I’d down star for lack of depth perception that can occur once the game adds on larger scales enemies. when this happens it creates the appearance that smaller sized enemies seem farther away (and you end up bumping into them instead attacking them when they should be) I said that i would, but after a while of playing the game I just got used to it. it took a while but it didn’t feel painstakingly long. Also, there’s this little monster grumble that the enemy makes when it’s time for you to attack them (with the exception of the mimic chest and the cobweb/spider) and listening for that unique sound helps quite a bit. having to go back and redo the previous level after failing the level that you are actually on can be super annoying but i’m not going to downvote for that either, because i’ve realized that without it the game would be relatively short lived and there is something oddly satisfying about having to go back and complete a level you know that you can beat, instead of just losing over and over again on the level you are trying to beat. i thought it was interesting to find out through playing the game that dungeon completion is determined by the number of clicks that the character makes and not the actual space traveled in the dungeon (so attacking moves the character as far along as walking). Also, each button press slightly increases your time bar making it so that the faster you press each button, the more time that you have. until i noticed those two gaming physics, i wasn’t sure if it was possible to beat the final level (it is). but for me it took a lot of playtime in order to build muscle memory and visual memory to recall the attack pattern for each monster. really, having to learn this for me is what made the game so satisfying to play. some games are difficult for no apparent reason and don’t seem to have any structure for providing any discernible ability to improve in skill and mastery of the game. i feel this game did that quite well.

Stupid. Its very easy to press the wrong button and this game is just wierd.

Love this Game!. But it’s been glitching on me in level 12. For some reason my buttons are lagging so I run into things thinking I haven’t gone forward...

Bad registration. This game has bad registration cause most of the time I will click and not do the action in time before I do another action please fix this otherwise great game

Fantastic Game!!. The game is super fun and very well designed!

The worst. Like walking thru a wasteland of add stricken garbage. Relentlessly fighting the same set of enemies on the same floors over and over and over and over and over and over and over...........you get the point. Absolute grind fest waste of time. I’ve had the pleasure of playing 8-bit classics from the 80’s with more life and soul than this. Nice try.

Fire 🔥. This game is lit and also the game is kinda hard and the thing I like about this game is going so fast so this game is awesome ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stuck on infinite mode. I’d really like to go back to the regular level mode but I don’t know how. I’m probably just an idiot but can someone please help me?

Another Game with Invasive Ads 😒. Can’t even pass the first level without having video ad with volume, event when iPhone is on silence. No thanks!

Pls stop the ads. I love the game but i wish there wasn’t so much ads. it’s like a waste of my time skipping through ads. pls stop the ads

Would be better as a 99¢ with no ads. I think the ads ruin it. Also I play better thinking of it as a game of whack a mole and ignore the action, much faster and ruins the fun completely

Eh. Its all right

Fun. This game is better than a lot of games I found on the store. Good job on making this game 👍

Horrible graphics and boring!. I literally played this for 1 minute. The graphics were better in 1936 and they didn't even have computers back then. Sorry but cannot recommend this at all

Fun game!. One of the more addictive games that you can get without subscribing to Apple Arcade. Just switch your WiFi and cellular off to prevent intrusive ads and you're good to go!

A bit too difficult.. The fact that you beat a level and gain the ability to play the next but if you fail you have to go right back is too difficult. I’m stuck on lvl 4 because I can’t beat lvl 5. If you could change this maybe I’d give it a 5 star but this is TOO HARD and I request that you nerf the level progression sequence.

Cant exit out of Ads THE WORST. The final fantasy Ad you can never exit out of and when you do it takes you to safari and THEN the app store and oh heck its so annoying. I enjoy this game but I will never deal with that BS

Great game!. Enough said..

Game is great.. U know I really wanted a game that reminds me the old times playing atari.

Forced ads are bad. Okay let me know explain something very simple. If I’m playing your game and a full screen ad suddenly pops up out of nowhere and hijacks my screen, that means that your game is utter crap. There’s really no ambiguity here.

Fun. Repetitive, but fun. I have no sense of depth perception and cannot tell how far something is infront of me. This does not only apply to this game.

Fun and Simple. Easy to play hard to master
