Amazing App! Possible Bug. I love the Slide app for Reddit! I especially appreciate the no-data-collection policy, as that is the main reason I stopped using the regular Reddit app. Recently, I noticed that the app was opening some Reddit links in a browser instead of just taking me to the subreddit/post. I’m not sure if this is due to the link format or if this is a bug, but would love some feedback when you get a chance! Thank you all so much for your hard work and respect for user-privacy!

pros & feedback. pros: super customizable, including colors, text, layout, etc. something that’s really nice for someone who is left handed. also, i love that there aren’t ads and that the pro level features are a fair price. love the app minus a couple things. feedback: it would be awesome if as i scrolled it auto marked them as read, this doesn’t seem to be possible. turned on the hide read feature, but it doesn’t seem to work quite right. it would be great to be able to toggle on & off read. also, it would be great if collapsing a thread of comments would also collapse the first comment, similar to reddit’s app. all in all a great customizable & ad free option. great work developers!

The Best iPad App for Reddit. This app is incredible. Did however notice some issues with the pop up feature in iPadOS /iOS 13. After opening popups, it isn’t possible to full screen a new window. The only way to get to a new subreddit or post in full screen is to exit all pop up windows and then find it again. This could be solved by adding a full screen button on the pop up window. Another even smaller thing - it would be amazing if you could edit multi Reddits. Also the Collections feature appears to be useless.

Still the Best Reddit App for iPad. Despite not being under active development for more than a year now, Slide remains the pinnacle of design for using Reddit on an iPad. The natural sliding and tapping gestures together with flexible muti-column layout (including dynamically resizing card layout images) all work well on the iPad where you have significantly more viewable space and distance to reach objects on the screen. Some reviews are understandably unhappy about bugs or new incompatibilities that are not getting patched, but nothing major has impacted me yet. People are always going on about Apollo, but IMO Slide is still king of the iPad.

No longer supported. I've tried the top Reddit clients and liked this one best, enough that I paid for the premium only to realize that it hasn't gotten any updates in months. When I started seeing the posts about this app being dead I realized I threw my money away. It's a decent choice and there is definitely potential for improvement, but it seems it will never see the light so you should probably stick with the free version or try something else.

Not bad, some annoyances. I wanted to try something different from the normal Reddit app, as it has become kind of buggy and annoying to use. I’ve tried apps like Apollo and they just don’t seem to work for me. This is the closest client I could find to the normal Reddit app, but the horizontal view is what really ruins my experience. Other than that, having to tap and hold on comments to be able to up/downvote them is the only other noticeable annoyance

Good but…. I love the app, I download my favorite Videos on it to show to my friends in my camera roll, but one thing, I can’t download all of the videos though, I really want to show a lot of stuff, please make it so that I can download every video on it, it would the the greatest thing ever.

Amazing Viewing & Sharing Options. I really like being able to tailor my viewing experience exactly how I like it. This app gives you that. The best part is all the sharing options. You can share media directly without having to send a reddit link. It’s great!

The app is gorgeous, The potential is skyrocked. I’m a Redditor who preferred the official Reddit app for a long time. Before that I sunk my teeth into Alien Blue, but since then my tastes have changed. Slide has a GUI design that glows with color. The color elements pop in a way other GUI designs on other reddit clients do not. This app stands out from the crowd. The color themes and accents are fully customizable and, the app even allows the user to have true black backgrounds for iPhone X and XS users. This is not to be underestimated as it creates an overall color theme that is tailored made to you. I am highly impressed with this free customization and I look forward to updates. Eli Lozano

Wonderful app!. Coming from Apollo, this is a breath of fresh air. First, the app does not contain any trackers (Apollo is full of them), the interface is even more beautiful to my eyes, the app is open source, it is snappy, lightweight, customizable. I can't find any fault with it! I bought the Pro version upgrade right away. Support developers that have ethics and talent for making a great app!

Has great potential. Is it the best reddit app yet? No. Is it really good. No. I’m gonna say it’s just ok for now but after seeing the upcoming version 3 beta, it looks pretty darn good. I originally tried it out because my internet connection was slow and saw the caching and data saving features. Boy does it work well and load fast. It’s a bit complicated to use at first but those who set their Facebook status to complicated will definitely understand what I mean; at least for now. You probably wasted your time reading all of this while you could’ve been trying it out for yourself so go do that. My review won’t change your opinion, you testing out the app will. Oh and you don’t really have to pay for premium like Apollo users so yeah have fun 👍🏻

Top notch app and developer. This app continues to get smoother with every update. Definitely the least buggy Reddit app I’ve used. There are a ton of customization options, which have allowed me to take my favorite features/settings of different apps and combine them into one. The developer is very responsive and receptive to feedback, so Slide just keeps getting better.

Best reddit reader I've found for iPhone.. I just switched from Samsung to Apple, and one of the things I missed at first was the reddit app Boost. It had all the features I wanted, I somehow never saw an ad, and it worked consistently. The "official" reddit app is terrible, and many of the others were missing features I wanted. This one has it all.

Links opened from an external source breaks full screen. Lovely app and I love the full screen view where it hides the clock and battery bar, however, when opening a Reddit link from an external source, this app instead opens that post in a slide up card. It would be lovely if you could swipe this up to go into full screen but it isn’t possible sadly. Please update if possible.

The Best I’ve Found - All the Features I Want. I came to the App Store yesterday to see if there were any new Reddit apps that I was not familiar with. I was especially looking for a complete app that also included highlighted new comments. That is the one thing I have always missed the most from the desktop when I am using a mobile app. Slide not only highlights them ... but also indicates how many new comments there are ... similar to RES on the desktop for Gold users. I started exploring the app and found that all the other features from the mobile Reddit app and others apps are there ... and so much more! This is the one I’ve been waiting for. Go ahead! Download the app ... and waste no time getting the premium upgrade. You won’t be sorry.

Disappointing Design. I was excited to find a Reddit app that hyped thoughtful design after the official app made watching videos a nightmare. Slide has a user-friendly build but one infuriating, unchangeable “feature”: Post titles/info are listed AFTER post content. The only sub this doesn’t matter in that I’m subscribed to is r/nocontextpics. With Slide, EVERY sub I’m subscribed to is r/nocontextpics. Slide looks like a decent app otherwise. But unless I’m missing a setting that populates the data as it is intended, this seems like another case of someone on the design team saying, “It’s not stupid - it’s innovative!”

This app is next level. The UI and functionality of this app are on an entirely different level than anything that’s out right now. I don’t know how big the team is that created this client, but there isn’t anything quite as beautiful and functional as this in the AppStore. It even makes Apples UI look bland in comparison. It’s definitely better than the default Reddit client, and even better than Apollo.

Probably one of the best (but extremely buggy). I use 3 apps for reddit. One app has the text editor just down. Apollo, comet, and slide. Apollo has a layout I don’t like but it has the text editor down but I hate really dislike scrolling on it. Comet has a better layout and is less buggier version of slide. Slide is really the best of both worlds, customizable, and really great layout, minimal, but it’s bugs are there. And they can sometimes ruin the experience. So all in all, great potential.

I wanna like it. It’s tough. As a heavy Apollo user Im use to a certain kind of customization that no other application can match. Slide comes close, but just doesn’t scratch the itch. The way things are organized and categorized are just meh. I’ve tried many combinations, but at the end of the day I just hate the UI and workflow. It feels very counter intuitive to get to specific subs, etc. I’m hard stuck Apollo for now, but I’ll continue to check the progress from the dev.

The search is over. Ever since I got an iPad, I have been waiting for Reddit client that supports multiple columns of scrolling. FINALLY! The settings of the app are a bit complicated, but once you tune it to your liking, this becomes the most beautiful Reddit experience on an iPad, especially the Pro. THANK YOU!

Great for consumption. Slide is awesome. Some glitches as of 7.1.1 when switching modes, but nothing a quick relaunch can’t solve. I love that you can lock it with FaceID, and use Shadowbox to view everything on full screen. The customizable sliding on comments is great, and easily my most used feature. But posting? Yeah, I’m gonna stick to the web version for that. No support for videos (ad far as I can tell). A little basic, but it’s a trade worth making for all the other features.

Built-in browser needs back button. There needs to be a back button for the in-app web browser. When I click on a link, and it takes me to a website, and on that site, I click on a link to another page, then again to another page, I need a way to go back to the previous page.

Great Potential, But.... I love the interface of this app and enjoy the swiping animations. However, it has a few bugs. The “set as default” toggle for individual subreddits never works for me, even after I went through everything in settings trying to fix it. While trying to upvote swipe, occasionally I end up going back out of the post, and I wish I could swipe from the right edge to get back into the post where I was. This app also crashes frequently, which can be frustrating if you’ve searched something in a subreddit and completely lose it— you’re forced to have to go searching for it all over again. Overall, an app with great potential, but many obvious bugs that make using it a little frustrating.

Very Impressive. I downloaded this app without many expectations. However, I was very impressed from the very start. There are some clever features in this app that Reddit should definitely take note on. Overall, I recommend it!

Reason to love and use Reddit.. I can’t tell you how this changes Reddit in a good way. Cards based UI is beautiful and easy to use. And as designer I appreciate the granular ability to customize everything down to colors and fonts. Please Please continue work on this app and update.

What a fantastic app. I have tried Apollo and hated it. So for the longest time I was just using the native Reddit app. This app caught my eye the most of all others so I gave it a shot and I’m so glad I did, I should have switched sooner. First thing I did was tweak and customize the UI almost exactly how I like it. I liked the app so much I went ahead and purchased pro to support the developer and unlock a few neat features to enhance my experience. The gallery view is refreshing and well done. There are only 3 things I’d like to see added: 1. Toggle to disable browser button. 2. Toggle to move back button to bottom right for ergonomic one handed browsing for those who have big phones and small hands. 3. Toggle to disable backing out of a post by sliding right. I’ve accidentally backed out of a post scrolling through comments numerous times.

Could be a great app one day. Has a lot of great features and very customizable. Unfortunately it doesn’t work very well on any iPhone I’ve tried it on, XS Max, 11 Pro Max, and 12 Pro Max. It frequently stop loading new posts, and then will only load one new post when you hit the end of the current screen. I’ve tried uninstalling/reinstalling and it will eventually always begin to fail. Attempted to communicate with dev, but extremely combative. Try Apollo, much better app, more stable across more devices. Bought Pro on this, because it seemed like a great feature set. Definitely not worth it.

5 stars when functioning correctly. This is by far my favorite Reddit app. Been using for years. They must’ve pushed out an update that broke it because the past few weeks, it’s been freezing constantly. Sometimes, the entire app becomes unresponsive. Sometimes, clicking on comments won’t reveal the icons to upvote, downvote, etc. On top of that, there now no way to search a subreddit and subscribe to it. Like I search it. It pulls up the subreddit. And then there’s nothing but the posts on that sub. You can’t search the sub. You can’t subscribe to it. Maybe an update broke my settings, but it’s becoming frustrating to use.

Carlos Come Back!. Man, to me, this is by far the best Reddit client I’ve ever used. Such a phenomenal and customizable UI that has amazing navigation. I think the developer has stepped away from the project, but I hope he comes back. I would gladly pay an annual subscription to receive support on the app again.

Endless bugs. Slide truly has the most potential of any Reddit client. It has an astonishingly beautiful UI and it particularly innovative with the user experience and customization. However, it gets 2 of 5 stars because, despite the above, it is virtually unusable. This is essentially alpha quality software. There are bugs absolutely everywhere. This app needs far, far, far more QA. The dev ought to consider taking a pause on feature development to focus on fixing all of the various issues.

Free, open source, customizable Reddit app with no ads. The developer and contributors did a great job with this app. All basic (and lots of non-basic😄) features are free, and pretty cheap if you want to upgrade and get even more (mostly cosmetic) features and support the app. It’s an interesting experience coming from Apollo, very different UI, but I encourage everyone to try it out

Pretty good. Needs some stuff and fixes though. This app is great, and honestly provides a pretty great experience compared to the main reddit app. The UI is pretty flushed and can be navigated through easily. There are some things that should be added like being able to search by community flair, and choose between being able to see saved comments and posts, . And there are bugs such as the app freezing and crashing, and posts not showing the correct thumbnail image or video, skipping posts on its own, and randomly making all of my posts stop showing, but Im sure that will be fixed over time.

Old Yeller of iOS Reddit Apps. This app was amazing for years—but in the last 1-2 years, it gradually got worse & worse. Scrolling for too long? Crash & back to the top for you. Switched to a different app for too long? Guess you want to see everything you just viewed again (this is with “hide viewed posts” on, btw). Up-/downvoted something before the crash? Too bad, vote not saved. Try again. I loved this app when I first got it, but it feels like it… aged over time. I feel bad uninstalling this, but reading reviews, there’s better Reddit iOS apps out there. For all the years it gave me, I can’t rate it any lower. But if I’m being honest? It’s felt like a 1-2 star app for a while now. It feels like it’s suffering trying to load image albums, much less videos & external websites. This app slows my phone down more than any other if I’m being completely honest—will completely freeze my phone at times. So long, old faithful. You had a good run.

Do you like bugs?. Update: Thank you dev for version 7! This update has resolved all the bugs I’ve experienced and I’m so happy to have my favorite Reddit app back! I really want to love this app. It looks nicer than any other Reddit app, including the official one. But the amount of bugs make me wanna die. Used to beta test this app, and thought if I switched to the one in the App Store things would improve. Not so. Go download literally any other Reddit app if you value sanity.

Settings are really confusing but amazing app. One improvement I’d like to see: On images and videos, have the sub/title be able to be on top of the preview image. Don’t think that’s possible as of now. Otherwise possibly speed up comment collapse and it’s a 10/10 app

Good Update but why remove search functionality for subreddits. I use the search button quite frequently to navigate to subreddits. But it’s not possible to do so unless I swipe right and search for the subreddits on the sidebar. It’s very frustrating. Apart from that the new update is very smooth.

Nice design and iPad multi column. A lot of redditors talk about other apps, but I think slide is the best Reddit app for iOS. It has the design and no vapor ware iPad layout. It actually has an iPad layout which is quite nice. The scrolling is smooth and is just an all around great app.

Love this app. This app has a super slick design and is very easy to use, I prefer it over reddit 100%. The only thing I do find frustrating at times is when you are trying to watch a video it takes a while to load them compared to reddit that loads them almost immediately.

Beautiful but Unstable. The app’s visual design is gorgeous and its feature set is solid, but I must say performance could be improved. I’ll try not to exaggerate with a number and just say that I’ve had several crashes in this reddit client whereas I’ve had zero in my history with the official app. I hope that performance is something that can get ironed out more as the app evolves, but I realize it’s a difficult task due to the amount of features packed into this beautiful reddit client.

Almost?. I really want to like this app, however, it appears I cannot completely get on board. The biggest issue is the fact that it consistently shows me posts I have already seen. I have the verified my settings, but whenever I hit hide, some still show up. Even if I refresh, the first post is always there. With all the high ratings, it must be something I am doing wrong, so I keep trying.

Sleek. Versatile. Forward.. Slide for Reddit is a forward facing app paving its way into the top reddit app on the AppStore. From its top notch customization features to its friendly interface, browsing Reddit has never been more convenient. Carlos himself is a impressive developer working diligently to consistently provide improvements and updates. He’s very responsive and the type of person you know that cares about the future of his product instead of a simple cash and grab app. If you were like me, you’d been using the standard Reddit app for ages and don’t know what your missing out on. Download Slides, it’ll change your Reddit experience.

The go to for reddit on IPad. This is app finally gave me the functionality I was wanting for reddit on an iPad that the standard reddit app wasn’t giving me. Once reddit went to their new awful video playback fromat, I was done! This app is miles better! Overall the app is very customizable and the gesture controls are intuitive. if you support this team by going ‘pro’ you get even more options! Also no ads. what else could you possibly want?

Favorite iOS Reddit app!. Tried like 7 different Reddit apps since getting an iPhone and this is by far my favorite. The content layout makes sense and you can customize it to you preference. I like to overwhelm my brain quickly with lines and lines of useless text when I read Reddit and this app lets me do that. Perfect for any Reddit addict. Thanks slide!

Would have given 5 stars but.... There’s a pretty significant delay when you click a comment to collapse it. I don’t know why because Apollo doesn’t have any issue collapsing child comments immediately. This is definitely the prettiest Reddit app out there and I decided to buy Pro because Apollo hasn’t updated their data collection policy and this app doesn’t collect any. I’ll keep using this app, but I hope the developer sees this and fixes the significant latency with collapsing comments.

Hot garbage for anything but text and images. These issues weren’t present just a few months ago but now 90% of gifs and videos won’t play at all, then link below does nothing. Eventually you’ll run out of content while doing what the app names itself for, sliding to the next post. You’ll just be forced to stop and manually scroll all the way down to load posts instead of loading more content automatically. A lot of post links are broken too like imgur pictures so if you wanted to open it in safari, you’ll have to go a roundabout way to copy the URL and paste it yourself, because it’s too difficult to have working buttons I guess. Normally I’d not be harsh on a free app however if you plan on charging for premium features then your basic features need to work, plain as that.

Great app. Totally worth it. I really like the column view on the iPad as compared to Apollo which is also one of the best Reddit apps. This app also offers the ability to cache posts allowing for off-line reads! This is a premium feature however. Sometimes the app is a little bit buggy and will quit but this hasn’t happened all the time.

UI Nightmare. Lures you in with the good looks, but: - Can’t tap/swipe outside pop ups for comments to close (universal expected behavior), need to scroll up for X...but not too slow! - Breaking their own convention, you have to swipe away subreddit info screens, no X. And tons of other inconsistencies. - Subreddits you don’t subscribe to open in miniature pop out like comments. Waste of space. - In fact poor use of space all over. - Settings are vague and don’t explain what they do. - Settings are organized so related items are in completely different screens. - Disregard for Apple design language. I am a UX designer. This app clearly doesn’t employ anyone in that position or, if they are, are being ripped off and stolen from. Right now they’re getting by on the lack of options and poor official app. Combine this with eye-candy to catch the lay person’s gaze.

It’s a few steps off from being the perfect Reddit browser!. Slide is becoming one of my favorite apps to browse Reddit. The interface is very pretty in the user experience is smooth. I haven’t experienced any bugs or glitches so far which is a testament to how good of a job the developers have done here. I only have two improvements that I hope I made in the future to make this app pretty much perfect. 1. Whenever an external Reddit link is opened in Slide such as from a browser like Safari, the app opens it in this small pop out looking window. Unfortunately there is no way to change this and make it fullscreen like how it would look when you open a Reddit page with the Slide app itself. So please incorporate an option to toggle this view. 2. Please allow option for greater indentation between comments in threads so that it’s easier to read which comments are replying to which. Although the color coding is great and helpful, currently, the indentation is very small so it makes it hard to easily differentiate. Please provide some type of option to make the indentation bigger/ smaller wider/narrower depending on what the user likes If the app can do this, I don’t think there will be anything left lacking in my eyes. I’ve gone pro just from from what how Good it’s been for my use. Highly recommend for any Reddit user

Fantastic Reddit Client!. Recently switched from Apollo/The Official Reddit App, and while those are both great apps also, I like the customization and look overall of Slide. It does take a while to get used to, specially if you used other apps previously, but it’s great once you do. Only thing I would like to see added is subreddit icons and headers being an option, but besides that, the app is awesome.

Want to love it. Came highly recommended and visually I like it so far. Small things that all add up to keep it from being a viable option. If you visit a subreddit and Pete the info button at the button of the screen, there is no way to exit that page. You cannot swipe on any edge, there is no X to press, no back button, nothing. Clicking a link on that page will obviously take you to that link but then the back button will take you BACK to the info page. It’s absolutely maddening. Also an option to keep the back button shown at all times would helpful when simple swipe to go backwards or forwards doesn’t work.

Doesn’t download anymore. Been using the app successfully for a while until from a 2 or so weeks ago it says “error finding video URL” whenever trying to download. :(

Great app but constantly crashing. I love this app but it constantly crashes on 2019 iPad Air

Something is wrong. Nsfw post image previews are not showing and I can’t turn them back on, this is a major problem. I will uninstall slides if I can’t find a fix.

Limited Functionality. I love the app and paid for the premium features, however it often under performs, direct messages arent supported, following profiles is difficult and clicking on them from your followed list will take you to their user subreddit and not their actual profile. I like the design but its annoying to have to use the official app to make up for where slide fails.

Descent. I would love the ability to save posts and view comments on the watch. Other than that, perfect

Sttuttery. Not quite as good as other reddit apps. Noticeable stutter around the interface - even when gifs disabled. Inconsistencies in how posts are displayed also detracts from experience

The better reddit app alternative.. I’ve tried about 10 or so, reddit apps. This one is the best I have tried. I like it better than the official app and also prefer it over the Apollo reddit app.

Just crashes. The app crashes immediately on iPad Pro 3rd gen. Its been two weeks—no fix.

Beautiful full featured Reddit client. This is one of the best Reddit clients I’ve seen for iOS. It’s fast, clean, configurable, and smooth.

Amazing but needs chats. Love the app, perfect set up, but I use reddits chat feature a lot, and while the app has access to the personal dm feature it doesn’t have access to the chat feature, at least anywhere that I can see,

Great replacement for the nerfed official app. This app is gorgeous! I only started using it because reddit nerfed the video play so badly they forced me to look for an alternative, and I’m glad they did! Great design! Kudos to the folk behind it

The best reddit app. The app is amazing and Apollo is now behind. Local notifications and great design and features. Definitely worth the money for pro upgrade!

App crash when saving photos. iPhone 7 (2016) App crashes when attempting to save images from subreddits

Excellent app. Very good reddit replacement, even better than Apollo at some things, specifically in the design department. There are a few minor annoyances though and clunks, some videos such as ones on Twitter don’t show up in the video feed and the save video option is iffy, however in general, it is an excellent app.

GREAT REDDIT CLIENT. This app is beautiful, super satisfying!

Best Reddit client on iOS. The others don’t even come close.

Hides everything. Shows only 6 posts on the front page then says check your filter settings if you dont see anything, there are no filters set to hide anything, app decided to filter things on its on, uninstalled.

Love it. But NSFW content not working anymore for some reason? I don’t know tho

Best reddit app. Lots of convenient features, customisable to your use, and easy

New update step in wrong direction. Used this app for about a year daily, love it. However his new update makes swiping(or sliding I guess) a mandatory way to navigate from threads and subreddits. Which COULD be a very powerful feature however some of the gestures do not make intuitive sense i.e. swipe up from bottom to go to menu appears from the right is not intuitive and I have to actually remember to swipe from the bottom. Also on the topic of swipe from bottom, why implement this feature when it standard to go to the home on like most if not all iphones? Navigation to and from threads is also confusing. Left and right swipes being dedicated to switching subreddits is also reserving the two most common gestures for a feature thats made redundant by the subreddit list which is a much more convenient(not swiping for ages) and faster method to navigate subreddits. This is a very strong app which with some careful design and stability work could definitely be the best reddit app out there.

Won't play video properly. Nice app with good features, but won't allow you to unmute videos. Tried and tried but eventually had to uninstall.

Default gestures are unintuitive, but good app. I’m loving the UI and general feel of the app, but it crashes far too often (every time I download a picture, for example). Another thing, not really a complaint about functionality but rather a design decision - holding down a comment to expand it for options to up/downvote while single tapping collapses the thread feels very counterintuitive to me. Can these be reversed somehow in the app? 01/21/2021 Update: there are toggles for the aforementioned gesture controls when viewing comments - thanks

Beautiful, functional, ad-free. Kudos!

Pretty good. This app has lots of potential but it’s UI is all over the place. Need to clean things up before I’ll buy pro. Will keep an eye on this one though.

A beautifully designed Reddit client. And topping it off, Slide is also incredibly functional app. The features and options list are extensive. Together with Apollo, Narwhal, Readder (and the official Reddit Mobile), Slide is a great addition to this list of great Reddit apps on iOS.

New update made it worse. Sharing feature is broken again and who though it was a good idea to eliminate being able to close the current tab just by tapping or swiping down on the background...

Lots of crashing and freezing. Also the ease of use just isn't there

Crashes constantly on iPad.. Not worth your time.

Great UI, very buggy though. I bought the premium- gotta help those devs out. But this is the most unstable Reddit client I’ve ever used. Crashes frequently, and doesn’t always respond to inputs. Not worth the premium.

Great app, not updated in a while. I’ve been using this for a while, and it’s pretty good save for some bugs. However, because it hasn’t been updated in nearly a year, it’s likely these bugs will never be fixed.

I keep coming back. This is a nice alternative to the stock Reddit app, but I’m apprehensive to keep using it because it hasn’t been updated in a year.

A good app but too many crashes. It would be great but if it crashes often, and it does, it's unusable and thus only "good".

Crashes too much. The UI is garbage.

Good but.... It’s one of my favourite Reddit apps. It’s good but it’s missing something it’s hard to navigate the subscribed sub-Reddit’s and you can’t favourite them. You also can see sub-reddit photos or banners.

Sketchy clipboard usage. Let me start by saying that I really like Slide’s features and it’s my preferred Reddit client. As of iOS 14 I find it alarming to see that it accesses my clipboard every time I open the app and I t’s especially concerning when I have passwords from my password manager in my clipboard. An aside in relation the iPad app - I wish that unsubscribed subreddits would appear using the split view rather than the pop-up window. It kind of defeats the purpose using the app on the iPad, I think.

By far the best Reddit App on iOS.. So much customizability in this app and some of the best devs you could hope for. They are very active and always improving Slide.

Amazing app, but needs update!. As far as Reddit app goes this is my favourite but it could really use an update and incorporate the chat feature

Crashes and pastes my clipboard. Pretty weird how the app pastes from my clipboard every time I launch it. Also crashes from time to time. Other than that, has a decent interface and great features.

Crashing playing videos again. When the app is working it’s hands down the best reddit app out there. But often it will have trouble handling videos and/or gifs and will crash out without an error message. Please get this working again my friend!

By far the best. Sadly no longer being updated. At the moment it’s still worth using but cracks are starting to show and eventually it will stop working entirely.

Good app. The app is a good alternative to the stock app, as it has a good video player, no ads and the ui is clean. Some reviews say they encounter bugs, but i did not find any. The only feature its missing is uploading videos but other than that, its very good.

Buggy, stops working and I have to close it and reopen it every couple minutes. Please fix your app.. I’ll be using the app and then it’ll stop working, I have to close and reopen it because it’s broken.

Can't handle comments collaps. This app is almost perfect when it works. It has more comprehensive settings out of the bunch apps I tried, when it comes to what swiping does and doesn't. But! 9 out of 10 times it messes up while handling comments collapse. ie sometimes it will collapse all but still show the root comment and there's no way to collapse that no matter what I do. And then if I don't give up and back out soon, the entire app will crash.

A couple stability issues from time to time but very responsive dev. Some stability issues but overall works well, has many features that the official app is missing.

Crashes so much. I downloaded a ton of reddit apps for fun and the only thing holding this one back is how much it crashes. Im on iphone XR so its not a computing power issue. Its worse now it crashes on start

Love it. Hope the developer picks this back up — my favourite of the Reddit apps that I've tried for the iPad. Bought the Pro version within just a few hours!

Was the best. Absolutely love the app, but it hasn't been updating for a long time and it shows :/

Better than the official Reddit app. It might not be perfect, but there are so many features and ways to customize the app, it’s like the official Reddit app on steroids and without the ad tracking. If you haven’t tried downloading yet - what are you waiting for?

don't bother. crashes every 5 minutes

Overall very good. Overall I find Slide to be one of the better Reddit platforms for apple - simple and easy to navigate UI with no bells and whistles. However I’d recommend to the developer to allow for users to search for subreddits with the search button in the bottom left hand corner. Annoying having to navigate to the separate search button in the other screen.

Update ruined this app. Let me start by saying I have been using this app for a long time now. And it's been my favorite for a very long time. But the recent app has absolutely killed it. The UI is so much worse. Not only that, but it seems about half the time I go into the app, I have to force close it and start over cause it won't let me click on anything. For the first time in a long time, I'm forced to choose a different Reddit app.

Good but not so stable.. Shadowbox seems to crash very frequently. Always hide read posts/mark posts read when scrolled off screen don't seem to be working also

Could be better. Crashes alot

Awesome app with bugs. Love the fluidity of the app. Will buy premium once the crashes are fixed.

Shadowbox issue. I love the Shadowbox but I can’t stand the upvote and downvote location at the bottom right. Every time I click downvote or upvote it just takes me to the comment section. I want to be able to upvote and swipe to the next post with ease.

By far the best looking Reddit app. I don’t know what else to say but I’m really enjoying this app for my Reddit addiction. Keep up the good work!

WatchOS. I downloaded this app mainly because I could browse Reddit on my watch but all I keep getting is a buffering screen. can this be fixed at all

Cant open app on apple watch. It is a good app but i cant open it on the apple watch, it just stays on the loading screen. Is there any way to fix this?

Buggy on iOS 12.5.5. Using with an iPad Air 1. Sometimes freezes, other times crashes. Frequently, when I open a post the top controls vanish so there is no way to close the post, forcing me to manually close the app and restart it.

Good potential, but needs a fix. I love the aesthetics of this app. I've tried several Reddit alternatives and the UI for slide is by far my favourite. Unfortunately its also appears to be the most buggy. It tends to crash and freeze fairly often. It definitely needs an update to make it usable.

Latest update is awesome!. Thanks for all your hard work ccrama!

Just a little work to do.. Crashing.

Constantly crashing. Used to be great, but since the last update it started crashing increasingly frequently. It has always crashed, but recently it has started crashing 2 or 3 times every time I sit down to use it. At this point it has become almost unusable. I also don’t like the recent UI update either, it doesn’t improve anything and im not a fan of the style changes.

👉 Are you looking for an Adsense alternative advertising platform?

Adsterra is the most preferred ad network for those looking for an alternative to AdSense. Adsterra is the ideal choice for new sites with low daily traffic. In order to advertise on the site in Adsterra, like other ad networks, a certain traffic limit, domain age, etc. is required. There are no strict rules. Sign up!

Good app for modding. I’ve tried every app on the market and I’ve settled on slide. It has a lot of customizations as well as mod tools. And I haven’t seen any ads yet. I’ve used narwhal for years but it’s being lapped by these other apps and falling behind.

Good UI, inconsistent performance. Best UI I’ve come across on iOS. Great customization with regards to post layout. Biggest issue is Inconsistency on video playback especially with regards to audio. Often will say the video is unmuted, but I need to cycle through hi, lo, mute before it actually starts. If this was resolved I’d easily switch back from the official app.

Love it but there’s still room to inprove. Would love to have notifications and being able to search by flair in subreddits

App crashes fairly often. I installed this two days ago because I couldn't stand the update for the regular app's video player. This app works well to scratch the reddit itch but it has crashed twice since I installed it.

Open source, ad free. Great looking client that functions well, is open source and ad-free! Fully functional free version with cosmetic upgrades for pro users. Really well done and looking forward to future updates!

Great App But Way Too Unstable. UI-wise the app is great and the features in the paid version are worth it but it crashes randomly way too often. Instability is pretty much the only thing holding it back.

Loving it, definitely getting the pro version. Everything that’s annoying about base Reddit is fixed here

Meh. Almost the best, it would be nice if you added the ability to about play the sound without having to go full screen

Needs an Update. Was good until recently. Now gifs/images take a long time to load, you’re unable to upload anything beyond a text post, and the app crashes when clicking on links in the comments. Kind of ridiculous

Almost Perfect. I like this Reddit app a lot. There are some good features especially its multi column posts and its ability to change how posts look like on every small detail. But there are a few things that makes it from being perfect. 1) Link handling does not include Twitter. 2) No Subreddit icons. Just dots. Would be even better if we could somehow pull in subreddit banners as well. 3) If possible please when ever I save a video or image have it download to a "Slide" Album or save images by subreddit. Definitely recommend this app to iPad users.

Great app. Crashes constantly for me.. Love the app. User friendly and looks great. However, it has started crashing 10-12 times a day for no apparent reason. I'd give 5 stars if it were more stable for me.

Absolutely fantastic for iPads!. After trying many Reddit apps, I’ve found this one the best for viewing content on a larger screen.

Mark read on scroll fails. Would be perfect if this feature worked. As I scroll thru nothing beats marked read even after refreshing. Setting in history is enabled too.

One of the better ones. Too bad it’s plagued with bugs. Tapping the X on top left to return to feed is like a game of whack a mole. Returning from a video to feed keeps video playing in background. Pause button is useless. Reddit videos rarely play because the app just crashes when opening one. UI is a mess. Settings are all over the place. Very annoying app since the last update.

Great but…. I really like this app much better than the official Reddit app and I’m using the paid version. However the app crashes a lot. Wish there was a fix for that

Used to be good, now very unstable. Great reddit app, the interface is good, comments are great, and one of the few optimized for tablet usage. Unfortunately, it seems to be unable to support many external image sites, and crashes when opening them, or attempting to preview them. I just can’t deal with this app anymore.

Overall Good App. The designed is well over all. There are 2 major issues that, if fixed, I would give 5 stars. 1) If a video is from YT and you try to enable sound, the video will not play. Disable sound and it will play again 2) Though infrequent, sometimes opening random posts causes the whole app to crash. Deleting and reinstall fixes that for a time

So many bugs since the last major update. Crashes nonstop. The “What’s New” popup displays repeatedly. Buttons and gestures become unresponsive. And certain UI elements don’t seem well thought out. Not a step in the right direction—the app desperately needs a fix.

Updates! Huzzah!. Great job with the updates guys! Love the inclusion of haptic touch for images and the improved responsiveness on video scrubbing, makes the app just that more comfortable and easy to use. Keep em coming!

Best app ever. This app is amazing. Reddit has a very odd system and this looks so much cleaner. I tried a bunch of other popular apps but this was better than Apollo a highly credited app. It has a new look and doesn’t ask to pay for everything. Thank you so much for this amazing app.

This has a lot of potential.. This is probably the best looking Reddit app out there. However, it is not that intuitive and I have had it freeze up several times on me. Also, I have it on dark mode but it will just randomly go to the light theme often.

Best Reddit app. Best Reddit app for iOS. Gonna have to beg the developer to come back and update it. I’ll donate, my guy! Don’t abandon this! I dislike the other options for iOS

Crashes a lot. I really like this app, and I actually prefer it over the Reddit app, but I wouldn’t give it a five stars because of the constant freezing, crashes, and laggy interface I often get.

Feature rich but unstable. Slide is much better than Apollo in terms of customization and provides a more complete experience. It however stalls at times and crashes other times. I wish I could make this my daily driver. The current version also has a bug that causes vreddit videos to not load.

Lots of recent issues. Most notably every time I try and save a video it will not download although the app has read as write access. Constant error asking if slide had video access. I'm pretty new to Reddit but this just doesn't seem to be the answer at this point in time.

Almost perfect. I love the usability slide offers, I haven’t been using the app for long <48 hrs but have been getting some random crashes, could be XR thing but I’ll update as the app updates.

Almost perfect on iPad. This app is great. Does almost everything I want. My one gripe is the subreddit handling. I don’t like the bar at the top. Would much prefer a slide out panel or something a bit easier to navigate than the bar on the top.

Wonderful!. The app is awesome I absolutely love the rounded edges design I feel that’s exactly what iOS is about. All that’s needed I think is smoother scrolling and avatars for subreddits. Keep up the good work! Hopefully more updates to come!

Still brilliant. UPDATE: Still brilliant. Dev, please come back. The only one that is beautiful and doesnt collect your personal info. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Needs autoplay option I like the concept. And it's beautiful. But why isn't there an option to keep videos from auto playing? I don't want to hide video posts. I just want to stop them from auto play.

Good Reddit app. Might be the best looking on iOS after trying them all however, low rating do to the floating button being on the bottom which is hard to reach.

App crashes when trying to load full thread on own comments. Please developer, please add one more button on the drop down on comments to take you to the full thread or at least expand the entire conversation.

Was great... Now just okay. Since the app redesign with iOS 14 I’ve had nothing but issues on multiple devices with crashes and bugs. The redesign itself isn’t an issue, all of the new bugs and crashes however, are.

Good with a bug. Really nice client but sometimes the app will mysteriously revert back to light mode even though I keep my iPad in dark mode. Just opening the Theme section within settings causes it to flip back to dark but having to do this regularly is annoying.

Perfection. This app is amazing. I no longer use the default Reddit app. Slide is so customizable and fast, compared to the default app which has minimal customization and is super slow. I love the layout and the “Hide Read” feature is awesome. I love this app so much.

Looks great, very buggy, obnoxious comment UI. Mostly works fine if you never read or write comments Once you go into the comment view, however, things are not so great: - locks up often for no discernible reason - tapping on a comment to toggle thread folding is super annoying. I keep doing it by accident when trying to scroll and upvote, and it’s the worst. - sometimes tapping too quickly on things completely screws up the UI It’s basically unusable for anything other than light lurking when you have to restart the app a couple times a minute to work around all the lockups

Better then Apollo (Especially for iPad). Such a great app that brings a nice new feel to reddit applications. The dev is extremely active and keeps us iPad users in mind. By far my favorite reddit app.

Awesome!. New update fixed the crashing that would happen when using the app too long. This is my favorite ios reddit app. Smooth, fast, and clean. Great work devs!

Better and more generous than Apollo. This app looks way better than Apollo is more generous since you can still post for free among other basic things that Apollo locks behind a paywall and there are more advanced features available for premium on here.

Great UI. I love it , but the videos and gifs were taking too long to load compared to other reddit apps(had it on tap to play video) . Not sure why that was happening but I had to uninstall it because of that .

Constant Crashes. Poor functionality.. I tried this app out for a couple months but in the end had to switch to an alternative. There are simply too many incidents of it crashing, and I find the inability to configure the interface to my liking really frustrating.

Annoying to use. Slide seems nice but has glaring flaws like an an inability to search without signing in, interface is less intuitive than the official application, and literal minutes wasted trying to close media content. Just lose the (x) and add a slide down function, a button that doesn’t work is not good design. Newly updated and now with freezing and complete sash crashes. What a incompetent developer

It was great, until GIFs from some websites would no longer play in the app.. Was great until GIFs hosted on some websites would no longer auto play. Wouldn’t be too bad, but clicking those GIFs doesn’t bring you to the website either. Will update review once this is fixed.

So much potential, so many bugs.. I love Slide. This isn’t a negative review because it’s obvious a ton of work has go into Slide, and I have immense appreciation for App developers. But Slide is riddled with bugs, so much so that it’s no longer my mail Reddit client. I only keep it downloaded and check back every update to see if anything is improved.

Lots of features but constant crashes. This was the only reddit app on iOS that did 3 things I was looking for: 1. Filter while browsing 2. Compact view 3. User-friendly posting/commenting But the crashes ... I wasn’t sure if it was my settings or a load on all the filters I use but browsing posts on r/all and even just comments causes the app to close losing all progress. All this causes me to be cautious while browsing instead of not having to worry.

Version 7 is super smooth. The developer has done a lot to improve this app, and it is very smooth now. I actually uninstalled Apollo because this app is just better now.

Great battery usage, very responsive. Crashes during use constantly. Very responsive, amazing battery usage compared to other Reddit apps. It also crashes basically every time I use it. Sometimes it’s the 10th page, sometimes it’s the first comment section I click on — it will crash.

Works better than most, still lacking basic features. I was enjoying this app quite a lot, but I just encountered something that made me so furious I had to come roast these idiots. You can’t reply to comments. One of the most basic Reddit features are unavailable in this app. Good job.

Best reddit app hands down.. I never write reviews but after alien blue was taken down I searched for a new reddit app. After a but of searching and comparing, slide has the most features and customization that I’ve seen. It’s amazing on iPads as well... Do yourself a favor and go ahead and download it.

The best reddit alternative. I have always disliked every Reddit app alternative to the official app. Except this one. Best one hands down. If they could implement the news feature that the official app has, I would switch solely to this and donate. Without a doubt.

Good overall, but a few issues. Crashes on Imgur links and quote blocks in text posts don’t show the full quoted text
