Good app, deceptive practices.. Ok, I don’t usually write reviews, but I feel like I have to. I would have rated this 4 or 5 stars but the way they advertise it is scummy, deceptive, and just not morally correct. The way they get you on the app and get your friends/contacts on the app is they send you messages from people that they think you know saying that they tagged you in a photo, even though there isn’t a way to share photos in the app, and when you click the link they just take you to the app. I thought it was from Instagram but it was just for Mappen. There wasn’t even any pictures. The app itself would be much better is they didn’t try to trick people in to downloading it. Woah that’s a long review. Thanks for reading! Note to Mappen: I guarantee you know what you’re doing, so please stop. 🛑

LOVE this app. Twenty is such a great way to let your friends know what you’re up to! The Hangout feature is awesome to get an idea of who is going where and when. If you’re having a big event or something small and private, use Twenty. I love the additions of the trademark logos for statuses. In just a click you’re friends can know if you’re Netflix and chillin or jamming out to some music. This app has definitely taken off in the past year. Such an amazing and convenient way to connect with friends and people you know!

Perfect app for a college campus. I have been utilizing the app twenty for the past year on campus. It is extremely helpful application and has changed my college social experience. As someone who can’t keep up with the constant group chat, Twenty allows me to constantly be aware of where my friends are and what they are doing. With features such as status updates and hangout it allows users to utilize the app in a more personal way. This app is extremely beneficial for college towns.

SO Helpful!!!. This app has helped destress the process of making plans for me and all my friends. It’s incredibly easy to navigate and so much fun to see what all of my friends are up to. A lot of popular events on IU’s campus I’ve been able to keep up with easier than before. Twenty let’s me see which of my friends and who in my sorority are hosting pregames for that event/ going to the event in general which makes it so much more exciting!! I can’t imagine life before Twenty!

Mappen Developers. This app made me furious, I sent an invitation to my dad and he got so mad at me you need to fix this app, I recommend you only putting the people that have this app on the “add friend” list because this could make people very upset I deleted the app so no-one I didn’t know could track my location, I have contacted I lot of people I’m sure that I have annoying them, I’m also very annoyed with the message section of the app it’s so confusing and hard to get to, MAPPEN DEVELOPERS FIC THIS PROBLEM!!

I don’t want any more texts!!!. I am extremely frustrated. I got this app because of a text from my friend. I downloaded it and made an account, decided it’s not for me and deleted it. When you delete an app you’re supposed to stop getting notifications right? Well I’m STILL getting texts saying people have added me as a friend. They are coming from people I don’t even know or have in my contacts. I haven’t had the app downloaded for 2 weeks yet I’m getting 2-3 texts a day. And I can’t block the number because it’s from a different one every time. This is also happening to my 12 y/o sister which is not okay. This needs to be fixed. No one deserves this. Take my number of your data PLEASE

To the developers. I got this app because I got a text from a random number saying that one of my friends tagged my location (or something like that) I wanted to see what she did or if she gave out any of my personal info. I am ok with the app I guess though. I would make a suggestion that you would only need 1 friend to make plans with. Sometimes you don’t want to hang out with a bunch of people. It’s kinda annoying. Some people might also just have one or two good friends. Also please change the text that people receive when they get swiped or whatever.

very sketchy and creepy. I kept on getting messages for example, “Y/N, you were tagged in ((location)) on Mappen. Log in to see where your friends are hanging out right now ((link))” So of course I have never actually downloaded it before not until after my friends told me to. So this app kept on ‘spamming’ me with texts/advertisements about oh so-and-so tagged you in *my current location*. So I am just kind of creeped out how it knew my name and how it knows where I go to school, or where I live, because I never put any of that information in before. So I downloaded it AFTER to see what it was about and it pretty much knew my contact I put in my own phone without asking me like, “Can Mappen have info. in your contacts?” So as you can tell I deleted it amediantly. Because I just don’t want to accidentally expose some of my personal information or other peoples’. Just please be careful when you put in extra personal info. and always watch out if they already know stuff you never told them. Thank you.

Super awesome app. I love this app, though it feels a little like Snapchat with the map set up and the scan codes. I wish there was a way to have private places on your map, places you share with certain friends, and public places that everyone can see. I also wish there was a way to message people who send you a friend request before accepting, to make sure they are actually your friend and not some random stranger. That is all. Otherwise, I love this app and recommend it to all of my friends!

Great app. This app allows you to see where your friends/family is you can see what they are doing then rather send emojis or even call and do separate text messages it easy allows you to add all of you or friends or family just by allowing the app to axis your contacts you can also ask someone to join and it will send them your name so it is easy for them to fallow you this is a great app I think you should definitely get it

Notifies People To Get The App Who You Think Already Have It!. This app notifies people whom you’re “Adding” from your contacts and the app makes it seem like they already have the app... NOPE. You are EXPLICITLY INVITING these people to JOIN the app. An app that you haven’t even used yet because this is in the setup process of the app. The app then sends these people a text message saying that YOU (it uses your name!) invited them to join. I just clicked “Add” to every name it suggested to just fly through the process, so I sent an invite to A LOT of people- including people I barely talk to (ex-girlfriends, people from class, family members, friends’ parents, coworkers, MY BOSS, etc. I was so embarrassed. If this app says anywhere that you will explicitly be inviting these people, they definitely don’t do a good job of making it well-known. Hell, they should at least change “Add” to “INVITE”. It is very deceiving. They are definitely trying very hard to basically spam people to get as many people to download the app as possible using your name as their source of credibility totally at your expense. So unethical. DO NOT DOWNLOAD.

BEWARE OF LOSS OF PRIVACY. This app sell a TON of data. It takes your phone number, device information, locations you visit a lot, determines what school you go to, what age you are, and even more! I made the mistake of signing up for this app without realizing the consequences. And I made my friends go through the same thing because I chose to add my contacts...do NOT download this app! EDIT: Developers replied, saying they don’t sell data. I’m sorry for assuming that, but you still store a lot of data that would be disastrous if stolen. Location, age, friends, places you visit a lot, information about your device, phone number, and other things that I would not like stolen.

Harassing Kids with ongoing texts for downloads!. My kid gets a text from a this app developer through a different random cell number every couple of days badgering him to download this app. He doesn’t want the app - not downloading - not creating an account. You can’t block the annoying reoccurring texts because it’s always from a different number. Gross tactic. Quit pestering people (especially preteens!) by sending ongoing messages to download an app that they don’t want - never clicked on - don’t care about! I see other people reviewed with similar problems only to receive a reply from this developer basically saying “just download the app create an account and...” HELL NO! Quit harassing people who never gave you there contact info!

Do Not Download This App!!. I got this app after I got many text messages saying that my friend added me on their map. I got the app to see how it worked and pressed yes on allowing to pull up my contacts. I added back the people who added me and added some of my family members. Later I got text messages from some of my friends asking me what is mappen and I told them I didn’t send you anything or add you on the map. I noticed that when I pressed yes to pull up my contacts that meant yes you can send a message to all of my contacts. I got creeped out about this app pretty quickly and deleted it. I still get spam about people adding me on their map and sent stop. So I hope that I will not hear from this app again.

Such a fun, interactive, and SAFE app!!!. Not sure what some of the fuss is about! This app is such a great way to interact with your friends all over. You can easily hit them with a “WYD” or “let’s meet up”. It’s also SO convenient for big group hangouts! All you have to do is invite people on the app, no need for giant mass texts with people who might not know each other, or texting loads of people individually. You can also directly message through the app. Love love LOVE this fun way of bringing people together for real face to face interactions :) really is a great way to facilitate technology to bring people closer. I’d recommend this app to everybody!!

DO NOT DOWNLOAD. If I could give it zero stars I would. I have never in my life left a review before but I felt this app deserved it. And I hope that users of the app read this before downloading the app. This app is absolutely useless. When I tried to delete my account with no option of recovery I got countless emails and text messages explaining how to deactivate my account saying “this will actually delete your account” well I tried it and it doesn’t “actually delete your account”. An app should always allow its users to delete their account with no option of recovery. And it should ALWAYS let the users know if they cannot delete their account BEFORE they make an account. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. This should be illegal. Everyone has a right to privacy and to decide what to do and what not to do with their personal information. Not allowing me to delete my account is violating this. I wish I would’ve never downloaded this app. I’m still emailing and texting them but they have stopped responding. Mappen be honest and straight up with users. Sincerely, a VERY angry user.

Why are people complaining? (Or maybe I’m just dumb). This app seems so good I have not used it yet but I can already tell that’s its a good idea for an app. People keep on complaining that they keep on receiving texts or notifications well...Have any of you guys tried turning notifications off? I mean if you’re so bothered by the texts or notifications just go to your settings and disable them it’s not hard...Try it! If it does not work then it’s pretty sketchy how you would still receive texts from random numbers and I think it’s a pretty devious way of slipping under the radar Notification wise.

Very very good, specially the idea of it.. The app is very good as a start, but you must remove the 3 Gifs when The user launches the app for the first time, because when i get it I don’t need such a thing which doesn’t represent a professional app, while its good and funny as part of a commercial. The structure and design are beautiful, but need to work on the the options the user have and what may he think about what to do with his friends, and specially the number of friends. As a team focus on what’s next and what can we do.

Too Many Texts. I also kept getting a bunch of unnecessary texts from everyone who friended me or tagged me in anything, and it was always a different phone number sending the text so I ended up with a million different text streams. I ended up deleting the app because it was too much of a pain. The idea of the app is great, I just think you should have a choice or some sort of setting that allows you to control the number of texts and who the texts go out to. And after I ended up deleting the app I still got texts from people who were adding me. So there is basically no way to stop the texts, which I personally find very annoying. Please fix this issue Mappen!

Some Suggestions. I love Mappen. I think it's a great app and concept, but I personally think it could be a bit better. I think the first thing would be to split the suggested friends into people with Mappen, and people without it. Not knowing the difference, I annoyed all of my friends by sending a friend request to all of those without Mappen, because I thought that they all had it, because they were on the list. Secondly, I think the GPS tracker needs some work, because I was on the bus with one of my friends, and halfway through the ride, his pinpoint was still where the ride started. I just think this needs some work. Otherwise, it's great!

Protect Privacy. Let me start off by saying that I think the idea is great and is very helpful is certain situations, that said if anyone adds me on Mappen the app automatically gives them my phone number as well as address, that to me is quite unsettling. Also if I don’t want to use the app anymore there is no way to delete my account. You also cannot block someone unless they add you first, and find out you address and phone number. I do like the ideas of having your friends/parents know that you arrived home safe, how ever it can do that without disclosing my address.

Very spammy.. I tried this app with my fellow friends and their parents. We thought it was going to be a fun app that can help us with our busy and social lives. I was very disappointed though. This app decided to send a text to all my contacts. Not one time, but many times. It spammed me and my friends, and even my friend’s parents. I can not believe this happened. This app did it without my permission and it angered me and my friends. I might have even lost some of my friends because they were made at me. This is no joke. If you fix this, I will think about downloading the app again, but only if you fix this. Please listen to me. I really want to this app to be successful. Thank you for listening and please do something! It will be for the best.

Bad app. This app has to much capability then it should have it can get into all your contacts and can send invites to your contacts who even don’t use the app. It’s basically a pyramid scheme because you send an invite to a contact who doesn’t have it and they download the app and they also try to find friends and who they also think have the app but don’t and invites get texted to them and the process starts over again making Mappens downloads grow. Also it shares your exact location and you accidentally send an invite to a person in your contacts, who may or may not have Mappen, who you don’t want them to know your location. This is how people get kidnap.

Work Completed. I’ve been using Mappen since the app came out in 2017. I used it a couple times while living in DC, but it was still buggy at that time. Since then, I’ve watched how the developers have adjusted the app and made it more useful. Mappen does a great job letting you know that you don’t have to spend your Friday alone on the couch watching the Office on Netflix for the 63rd time. It gives one notification on Friday night that tells you to get out of the house. After opening the app, you can decide to go out and invite your friends without that “what are you up to?” text (I know you’ve sent those texts, don’t lie to me 😜). It makes getting out and being social that makes easier, because you have had plenty of Friday nights watching Netflix. All in all, huge improvements in the past few months!

Why You Shouldn’t Download This App. I got a text message from a random number saying I’d been friended on this app. My first thought was: “What kind of app lets you friend people before they’ve downloaded said app?” So, to stop getting text messages I downloaded it. Then on the app I get a notification saying people from my contacts were also on the app. So it goes through my contacts. And me, assuming that it’s going through the people in my contacts who are on Mappen, I press “yep” because I thought it was like a friend request or whatever. And now, I have several people asking me “What is Mappen?” Someone in my contacts actually sent a review to Mappen saying and I quote: “Y’all stop stalking innocent children” someone help America because this app is more of a weapon that could be used in World War III then another Snapchat.

The Best Way to Connect with Friends. I am obsessed with Mappen. It is really important to me to know my friends are safe and to let them when I’m nearby to hang out. It’s also extremely helpful for the friends that say they’re on their way over but haven’t left their house yet. It’s incredibly easy to use, only uses emojis, and resets every hour. It will ask you to add friends, which automatically sends them a text message when you add them. That’s helpful for adding new friends to Mappen, but I’ve found that a personal invitation is much better to connect with friends. Try it out for yourself and see how great it is.

Amazing!. I’ve been using this app for around 3 months and it’s honestly so great! Once you have a bunch of friends on 20, planning hangouts or events is so easy and convenient. I love that 20 is encouraging real life interactions, so many of my causal or even more formal social events the past couple of months have been through 20. This app is also really great for college campuses since 20 will alert you when a friend is nearby and wanting hang out!

Simple and helpful!. This app is awesome. It lets you drop a pin on your favorite places to go and easily tells you what your friends are up to. This lets everyone easily be able to see who is free without having to sit around and wait for a reply. You can make quick and easy plans with all of your friends in a matter of seconds! I got all my friends to download it, and we used it to send out one mass invite that everyone can see. It’s easier than sending a text that can get looked over in a groupchat. I definitely recommend it!

Something better than texting 🤪. Before using Mappen, I just KNEW that nothing was better than texting. WRONG! Mappen really keeps my social groups connected. I’m able to make spontaneous moves with friends when I see that I’m near them. Since using Mappen, I’ve got all of my friends AND family using it. This is the best app for staying connected to those you love. I’ve had no privacy issues with the app... no crashing issues.. no issues whatsoever! I urge everyone to download and use- be in control of your social life 💪🏽

Random Texts. I got this app after I got a random text saying that someone I knew had tagged me on their map. I then got another text saying that another one of my friends had tagged me as well. I didn’t really understand the app and decided that I didn’t really need it, as I had no use for it. I deleted the app but continued to get texts. They were all from various numbers that I did not know and they all said that ‘Me wants you to update your map’ or something of the sort. I don’t know how to stop these texts, I’m just hoping it will stop soon. P.S. For those of you who are having the same problem as me ((getting spam texts and such) I am editing my review I posted a day ago) if you get a spam text, reply STOP. When I did this I got another text back saying that I had been unsubscribed. I am hoping this is the end of the spam texts.

IT SENDS A NOTIFICATION TO EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOUR CONTACTS.. This app is seemingly a wonderful idea, and looks well made. Despite this, it has a major inconvenience due to the fact that it SENDS A MESSAGE TO ALL OF YOUR CONTACTS ONCE YOU MAKE AN ACCOUNT. This is not only embarrassing to the person supposedly sending the message but unprofessional of the app. It is convenient to be able to send invites to who you want, but that should be OPTIONAL. I received one of these texts saying multiple of my friends invited me to join the app. I downloaded simply to see what it was, but later found that more people from my contacts had been sent the same message without me authorizing it. It was embarrassing to me and it is a terrible awy to try and expand an app such as this. I do not recommend even downloading this app, and I especially do not recommend creating an account.

Great for the family!. I used to use a different app to know where my friends and family were at, but it used too much of my battery. Mappen meets the same criteria (and more) without draining my battery. The new game feature is pretty entertaining to drop bombs nearby my family and friends...except somehow I keep losing. ;) The kids keep getting me before I can deactivate/remove/cleanup the item. Fun feature. It is also cool to recommend your favorite locations to friends and family. Great app, and very comforting to know that your friends and family are where they should be, when they should be.

Mappen!. Mappen is great! It’s like find my friends but with the ability to actually make plans with friends! I think it’s a really effective way to share information with people with various features such as planning events, joining events, inviting people, getting directions to the location, and commenting. I like it that it isn’t like Facebook events in the sense that it’s on the map so you can visualize where plans are in relation to your location.

Nice app. I am in love with this app! The amazing thing is that, when you add a friend, they automatically send them a text message when you add them! It’s a smart app because you can be able to locate your friends and you also have notifications when they are nearby! It’s easy to keep track of everybody’s and make sure that all of your friends are safe and, in case they need help, you know where they are! I absolutely recommend it!

Not Safe. This app may say it’s safe, but it is not. Any app that can access your location (and is not made by, for example, app or google maps) is not safe. The other thing is that this app is kind of like you’re a stalker. You can see where your friends are at any given moment as long as they have location always on. Some one who I tagged on this app researched the number hers came from and it said it was in Texas. According to online this app was made by two dads for their teenagers safety but it still isn’t safe. Whether it was meant to be safe or not you should not share where you are with anyone it just isn’t safe, what if the app was to get hacked like other apps, then people would easily be able to find you.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD !!!!!. I received at least 20 texts from my friends saying they have downloaded this app.I was skeptical at first but then downloaded it. When i went thru what i thought was friending people that already had the app, i realized it was sending a text to every person i hit friend to that were in my contacts. A friend from school asked me if i had gotten this app and I said yes, she was very shocked and then told me that this app is used for child predators to track kids and kidnap them. I was extremely skeptical at this point and searched it up on google. the results weren’t good, from saying that it was used to track kids by predators to being unsafe for everyone. You guys know what have been going on in this world lately, Think smart.

I don’t like it. This app sent me a text message at my personal number saying I was being “tagged” in things and asked me if I wanted to catch up with friends from school. I had never seen this app before I downloaded the app because I don’t want my personal information out there. It tracks where I am at all times and advertises it. It asked me if I wanted to follow my old home phone number that has been disconnected for years, and two people that died and are not contacts in my phone. I don’t know how this app knows so much about me. It had my home address, my work, my phone number, and who I talk to. I do not recommend if you value privacy.

An app for all!. Mappen is an interesting app, I would recommend it to all trying to make plans with friends over the summer, or to parents wanting to see what their child is up to during the day. This app us good to help kids when there board, kind of like when I am bored I go on there and I add to my status that I am board, and some friends will text me and we will have a conversation. The only reason this app got 4 stars was due to the frustration it caused when I was trying to figure out how the app worked. Overall it is a great app and it helped me hangout with my school and soccer friends multiple times this summer and because of that I would recommend this app to all. Great for making plans. I’ve been using Twenty for a little over 6 months now. It’s the perfect app for making plans with my friends! The interface is really easy to navigate and lets me see where all of my friends are in real time. I really like that when I look at the map I can easily see everting that I have going on and can tap into each hangout to get more info. Twenty has become a living version of my calendar with so much more functionality!

Finally I can Schedule!. Group chats are the absolute worst to organize and make plans in. And Mappen has fixed the group chat problem! It’s great to just set a time, place and invite your best friends to a fun activity. Compared to having to send the time, date and address 4 separate times along with checking who is coming Mappen just shows all of that on one screen. It’s simple in its design and a powerful tool to get activities started.

Cool App. It’s a pretty cool app that I use a lot. I like how when you get a notification that you get a notification you can react without having to enter the app. It’s very safe, only people you add can see you. It’s also really easy to use, no weird settings, it’s all really simple. It’s cool how they use emojis all the time. If parents are skeptical about it being like a social media, it’s not. The only use is to see what friends are doing, where they are, and if they are safe. And the best part is that there are no adds. It’s over all a really great app, and I recommend it.

So useful!. I love this app. It makes planning events so much easier. There is no longer a need for texting back and forth about plans because every event is shown on the map and you can see which of your friends will be at the event. This app is so convenient and it’s the easiest way to plan events and be notified about events. This is especially useful on college campuses, but can be utilized anywhere to simplify event planning!

A Social Networking App that Actually Brings People Together. Mappen is an app that has the potential to undo the negative social effects that have derived from previous social media. It encourages and facilitates the process of meeting up with your friends IN REAL LIFE. From its locational map homepage to its event planning tool, Mappen makes hanging out and checking up on friends a breeze. The app organizes friends and events in a way that is easy to manage (but, like anything, could still use a few tweaks), creating a social platform that users can smoothly operate. Furthermore, “friends” on the Mappen app are ACTUALLY the traditional definition of friends as it promotes interpersonal relationships between connected users. I especially loved the function that lets your friends know “I’m Okay.” Like I said before, Mappen can be the social networking app that brings people back together and ultimately betters the social aspects of today’s modern world.

Don’t buy this app. So I kept getting text messages saying “hi,This Person has put you on the map” and I kept getting them so you know I got the app and I Was like before I made an account I noticed your putting your location on it and your friends and I was like whoever owns this app is probably a child predator so I immediately deleted the app I still keep getting texts but I say “who are you” “don’t text this number again” “stop before I call the police” so don’t buy it you will be spammed AND this app is probably to track kids down IF you buy the app I’m scared your gonna get tracked down this app is not safe it’s very very dangerous so yea, have a nice day!

The future of events. Twenty is going to save our lazy world! No matter what age you are, communication is always a challenge. Especially when it comes to social events like the high school football game, college bar crawl, or work softball game. People are lazy and inconsistent when it comes to communicating with large groups, but that’s where Twenty comes in. It’s so simple, so user friendly, and so convenient to connect with you friends and take the hassle out of events. I highly recommend this app if you are social and want the best way to become more social.

Awesome app!!. This app is amazing when you are trying to hang out with real friends in real time beyond social media!! I love how easy to use it is and it goes a lot further than find my friends with all of the amazing features. Finally, I can see what all of my friends are up to and easily get together with people. I highly recommend using this app, it definitely has increased my social life and encouraged me to hang out with my friends more often!

Mappen is AWFUL. HORRIBLE APP. cannot stand it. only downloaded mappen because i got a text saying i had been friended. i downloaded the app, but after talking to her i realized that the text was fake and that she had just deleted the app. after speaking to multiple of my friends, we realized that the app had sent texts to all of her contacts, without her consent. i then deleted the app and have since gotten spammed with texts from my friend who DONT have the app saying that they have added me. if i could give it a word we rating i would. the app did not work well while i had it and i do NOT recommend it. this experience was AWFUL and the people who created the program that spams people with texts should be ASHAMED of themselves. i warn you ALL away from this horrible app. run while you have the chance.

Very dumb idea. :(. Don't ever text me again or i'll report you to the authorities and the app "Mappen" will be taken down from the app store for spam, illegal tracking, and an unsafe app. You have been spamming me constantly with texts even though I deactivated my account!!! This app has absolutely no reason to be on the app store. It's not social media, barely any people are even on this app but those who are, better get off of it. There are creeps in this world, lurking on Mappen, searching for vulnerable children. This app is a very bad app. You don't even get paid for running the app, Mappen makers. Someone could easily sue for a child easily being kidnapped. This app only allows you to be on it if you allow full location access. This means that if you don't allow them to ALWAYS see where you are at all times, then you can't use the app. Stupid app idea. Major, major safety issue.

Review. Mappen right from the getgo, lets you know what it’s all about, right upon startup of the app. The message to connect with yours friends anywhere. Additionally, the signup process is one of the most painless streamlined signups for social media and it’s even easier with an Instagram profile. Now once you get to the actual map screen, you’ll notice the UI of this app is very minimal and it’s creates a great user experience as there are not many buttons to accomplish what needs to be done. Whether inviting your friends to a pizza trip, or inviting some news friends to the app.

My Opinion. Ive used this app minimally and whether the app store lets this go up or not is their choice. But lets get started about this useless, terrible of an app. The main point of this is to unite friends when theyre near eachother and even for safety reasons if say a parent didnt know where their kid may be. Ok is a text not enough? Like it takes two seconds to literally text someone you dont need a map to do so or else what would snapmaps be for, as well that applies to the safety concern. Furthe i have barely used the app because of the most infuriating part of the reason i downloaded it in the first place which was because of the text message of some random person on my contacts getting a text saying i got friended. Are you seriously that hungry for buyers? Ive gotten atleast 20 notifications of texts this week from random numbers of yours which is outrageous and no other app goes to this extent to get people to get their app. It was unfortunate as well i couldnt give this app a 0 star rating. I downloaded the app after suggested from a friend and made an account after giving it my phone number location settings and contacts like it said it needed, something seemed fishy. No delete button. I downloaded this app for three minutes and read the privacy policy and wanted to delete it. But there is nowhere to deactivate your account. Within the policy it says to contact juxtalabes directly. Violates privacy left right and centre

BE WARNED. I’m a 14 year old girl who feels completely invaded my this app. I never heard of or gave any information this app when I got a text saying someone “tagged” me on it, I pressed the link and it asked to verify my phone number; when I did it instantly knew my name and placed me on the map with my friend. Then recommendations started popping up for people I barely knew, I even discovered the app tracks your school, interests and birthday without permission. I read the whole privacy policy and I didn’t feel protected from bullying or pedophiles. I feel unsafe having downloaded this app and I’m not sure how to permanently remove my information from it. Use Snapchat (snap maps) or find my friends instead; at least on these apps you can chose what information you share and with who. 0 stars!!

Data mining hazard, tricked my daughter. This is one of the most unethical data mining apps I’ve encountered. It breached my government phone contact data based on my personal contact information thanks to my young teenage daughter signing up without knowing. I am very very upset with the way this app worked and the information it accessed and the texts it sent as a result.

DO NOT GET. This app is the worst, before I even knew what the app was I was getting text messages saying that people were adding me. People that I had never know. So I decided to see what it was. It always knew your location. Even if you weren’t on the app itself. I wanted to delete my account so I did. I deactivated it and I’m still getting texts from it.

Mappen review. I think Mappen is a great app for parent/ guardians that would like to know where their kids are, or friends that like to chat, even family members that like to watch out for each other. The only thing I dislike is that it doesn’t satisfy my boredom when I can’t find something to do. What I am trying to say is it isn’t very entertaining if you don’t have something you know you want to do if that makes any sense. Thank you.

My rating. I have been using this thing since 2018 and now it won’t even send a text to my number but instead it will give me an error and I can’t even get back into my account like what’s up with the error it was working just fine like two years ago why is it acting up now. Aaaawesome App!. This is my new go-to app for weekend planning. It’s my new favorite way to find out what’s going down and make plans with friends. It’s like Find My Friends, but way better. I love how it tells me when friends are close by and when I’m near their favorite places—it definitely validates plans I’m making when people I know recommend these places.

Whatever you do, don’t download this app. This app is like a spam caller except an app. Once you download it, it gets all of your personal information, sends a text message to every one of your contacts and it won’t stop sending you messages after you delete it. It doesn’t matter how many times you block it either, because it uses a different number every single time. Never ever download this app because you can never get rid of it even after you delete it you still get text messages from it all day! DONT download this app!!!!

Would give lower if I could.. Yes this may seem like a great idea but it’s not. First of all why would you want everyone to see your location 24/7. This is extremely dangerous for young kids who may just be adding random people. You never know who could be trying to contact you and with them being able to see your location all the time it’s easy for someone to track you down. Also when you go to add people it actually sends them a text inviting them when they don’t actually have the app. Not safe or useful.

Oof. I don’t know if anyone has noticed, but the bad reviews are all very consistent and true. I downloaded the app because of a text invite from a friend. But it’s just too sketchy. There are many other apps that use locations like Waze or the Snapmap. There’s even a secure app called Find Friends purely dedicated to locations of people that you CHOOSE to share your location with after they get the app. If you want to make plans with someone just text them. The app already uses your phone’s texts anyways. Don’t download the app. It just uses your contacts for free advertising.

somewhat annoying but fun. to start off, i only downloaded this app because all of my friends had it. anyway, this app is overall fun and it's very helpful to see what your friends are doing and to plan events. however, i wish there was a feature that you could only make one event per day because some of my friends have forced other people to join some weird event to north korea. also, the app does have some well...weird additions to it. such as being able to see your friends battery percentage. i dont know how thats supposed to encourage people to use the app because in my opinion i find it quite creepy. all in all, the app with a few cons is very fun and helps you easily hangout with your friends!

Best app for meeting up with friends. Twenty works well for me to know where my friends are. If I have couple hours free, I can just set my status to bored, and my friends are immediately notified! Also super easy to collaborate with friends and plan the next poker night, dinner, movies etc using the Hangouts feature. No more 1-1 or group texting in multiple groups for me and no more fear of missing out 😃.

Awesome App!. I highly recommend this app. It’s a great resource to use to either sync up with your friends, find a new restaurant, or see what’s going on around you. A cool feature is that when you are near favorite spots of your friends you can actually go in and see what they liked and where and go and try it yourself!

Harassment App. This app is SPAM & HARASSMENT - not to mention a have for pedophiles. A girl in my 11yr old daughter’s school tagged my daughter at their school in this app even though my daughter doesn’t have this app, and since then she’s getting loads of reminder texts from this app, and each time she blocks the number a new text from a new number comes. It’s really annoying - and not to mention this app is very dangerous for young kids - it’s unbelievable that it’s a 12 + app - should be 18 plus and it should also leave people alone. If a developer reads this please respond to me and tell me how my daughter can block it so she stops getting texts.

Great app (Mappen?). Location is more accurate than any map I’ve seen! I believe this used to be called Mappen I don’t know why my friends want my location so I’m on ghost mode. I like this app when I do use it. I really do dislike that when you add people, it’s actually inviting. It seems they have updated (or I haven’t noticed) the bar at the top that says add or invite. Could be more noticeable though.

Very good app and very helpful. I am on the bus for and hour every day. This app helps me know who is picking me up and where they are right now. I’m only twelve years of age, so knowing where I am is difficult. With this app, I can set destinations and see how close I am. I use this app everyday and it never gives up on me. This is great idea, and not many flaws with the app. I just wish you could make it so the app can only track you while you’re on the app. I also think it’s a bit unnerving that your friends can access your location whenever they want. Awesome App for Bringing People Together. I love Twenty because it is a perfect way to bring my friends and other friend groups together to socialize in real life. Dropping a pin down for a hangout makes it so easy to find out what the move is for the night. Twenty helps me and my friends to get off our phones and link up together wherever it may be.

Advertising. This app is great and all but I never really expected to have ads in my messages. It’s ANNOYING... I always get notifications about my friends that have the app and how they added me on the map. But I think that is just a scam and I can prove it. I deleted the app because I didn’t see a use for it and it just took up space on my phone. But about 1 month after I deleted the app my mom told me that she got a text saying that I added her to my map. But here’s the thing, how would I add her to my map if I deleted the app about a month before. CASE CLOSED...

Best social app!!!!. Twenty connects me to my friends face to face whenever needed. Its the most accessible app and easiest way to figure out plans with my friends in the moment. In the moment is the key part about this app as its unique because its unlike every social media app.. instead of connecting you to your friends over the phone it brings you together in person. Don’t get this app. I got mappen to see what it was about and then I deleted it. And it said a bunch of my friends added me which I didn’t mind. But it also said these random people added me and they could see where I was and I didn’t even know them. This is such a creepy app don’t get it. This app will write you back saying only the people you add can see where you are. But that’s not true so this app lies its very creepy and I hate it. I’m never getting another app like it. Mappen is Everything!. I know this may sound weird to most, but knowing how late my friends really going to be instead of just "20 minutes" is awesome. Mappen is a great way to stay in touch with close friends, but also a great way to know they're safe. I highly recommend using this app to keep track of each other! It always lets me know when one of my friends is nearby.

💕💕💕. I think Mappen is super cool. My friend showed it to me and now there’s like 9 ppl on my map. Ik that doesn’t sound like a lot but it kind of is cuz I only just got it yesterday morning. I really enjoy being on it and I’ve only had it for a day and a half. I rly like how u can like create events and invite ur friends to them and chat about the event. Annoying. I had Mappen for a while cause my friends said I should get it. After about a million texts about how I was here or there or that my friends tagged me in something or about friend request. I eventually deleted it. Little did I know they still knew my location based on my friends and not only that I kept getting the messages. As I said I deleted the app because of notifications. It is quite annoying about 8 times a day on how someone tagged they friend requested. I do like the app it’s ok not the best but not the worst. That is just my experience. Thank you

Amazing social media app to hang with friends!. Twenty makes it incredible easy to see what your friends are doing, and when. As we all know, life can get pretty hectic and hard to keep track of things sometimes. But twenty makes the social life of everyone way more organized and easier to see where people are at a certain time. Love it!!

Love this app!!. This app is so fun! It’s kind of like find your friends but for the purpose of going out. You can set your status and see what your friends are up to and where they’re planning on going for a night out! Mappen is great to hang out with friends nearby!. I love Mappen! It notifies me if one of my friends is nearby or is planning on doing something. like earlier today my friend was nearby my house. Also, what I like about it is you can “react” to what your friends are doing with an emoji. And last but not least, you can use an emoji or the Netflix icon to show your status and after an hour it refreshes.

Great app. At first it kind of sounds creepy to know where your friends are but after getting to use it from time to time it saves you a lot of time. It’s a shame you can’t rate an app 0/5. I got a text from this app, with my name in it, without having given them my name ever. I downloaded it on the off chance it was real, and big surprise, it wasn’t. Also, I looked through the reviews of this app to see if anyone else was having this issue. Lots of them were. But for a good portion of the negative reviews, the support team responds and basically says either that the issue never happened or tells them to revise their response to put the app in a better light. All in all, weird app with a support team that can’t take criticism and make their product better from it.

Uhhh......... Hate this app, it keeps giving me notifications that my friend has contacted me. It also says the name of my school!!! I dont want to be tracked and its not like i just go in the settings and turn off track because i didnt even have the app when i got tracked. This very dangerous and invades privacy. When i asked my friend stop tagging me from this app she said she wasnt and that “the app does that to random people all the time yet it says your name.” I dont know what to do to not be tracked. Cool for random stuff. Makes last minute plans really easy and simple. Few things to fix though. More emoji options for reactions. Being able to see a list of follower/followed would be better than scrolling. Simpler location off system instead of for set amounts of times. Maybe just general location rather than exact location. Overall I love the app

Easy Coordination with Friends. I love this app because it makes coordinating with your friends so easy! They don’t have to ask where you are, because they see you on the map, or what you’re doing, because you can update your status. Therefore, you can get together with them and skip the time wasted of figuring out what to do. Awesome!

Help (how do I delete my account). Okay first of all, I downloaded this app a long time ago and I deleted it. My little sister got it yesterday and she was looking through it and told me it was kind of weird because it showed all her friends EXACT LOCATION. It also showed my name... mind you I deleted that app months ago but it still gives my location to this day. I was trying to figure out how to delete my account but I couldn’t find how to anywhere. Developer, how do I delete my account? The app kind of just creeps me out because it still has my location after I deleted it a long time ago. Thanks.

Loving the App. I keep track of my kids at any venue and make it mandatory for them to keep their location on. This gives me great security knowing where they are at all time. When I’m out having fun it’s awesome that I hook up with other friends coincidentally not realizing they were going to the same venue as I. This is an amazing and fun app that shows us, how interconnected we truly are!!

Love it!. Twenty offers an event planning and meet up with friends aspect that you can’t find in similar location-sharing apps. The features are easy to use and it’s super convenient to have everything right there on the app so texting in other group chats isn’t even necessary. I definitely wish I knew about the app sooner!

Social App to get you off your phone. I’ve been using Twenty on a college campus for about a year now and it has changed my college experience completely. I have met so many people and always have something to do with all the nearby events that are promoted by other users. This app is fantastic, especially in colleges or cities.

Before downloading the app I was getting notifications from other friends saying they tagged me on a map and inviting me to places using the app. I downloaded the app to see what it was all about and it was very confusing. During the set up process it goes through all your contacts and ask them if they go to the same school as you. I clicked yes on all of them and it invited everyone to join the app and spammed there phones. Please don’t download this app it is unnecessary.

HORRIBLE DON’t DOWNLOAD IT. This app is horrible. It send requests to EVERYONE in your contacts WITHOUT PERMISSION BY YOU. Not the best, but it’ll do.. The app is fine itself but constantly getting texts about “____ has pinned you on their map,” is very annoying. It leaves me with unwanted texts and getting spammed and I wish it wouldn’t even notify me of that happening. However, even though for me this is a big deal, the interface is friendly and convenient. I’m just wondering that if there’s a feature for your address not to be shown to people because currently I don’t want people to see my address.

Good enough. It’s ok but there are few things that could be adjusted like when u first get on gives u a list of people in ur contacts and sometimes they have it but if they don’t it sends a message not ur group text but a random number. I got a message and started freaking out but I mean they are just trying to find new users. If they have the invite on ur chat like Houseparty or GroupMe, something like that.

LOVE IT !!. Mappen is so easy to use ! After a few of my friends started to download it, it was much easier to keep tabs on people! I check to see who’s at home and bored to make plans with them ! If they’re not home I don’t ask. I’ve had so much fun with this app! Its great for teens who enjoy doing things as groups as well ! Definitely recommend!

Unreal App!!!. I love using Twenty! It’s the perfect way for me to stay in touch with my friends without constantly texting them. Also, I’m able to see big things going on during the week and weekend on campus and can get together with big groups of people really easily. I love how accessible it is and how much fun it is to set my status!

Design. I absolutely love the design of this app. The logo itself is very nice and simple. As for the app itself I like how easy it is to use. I especially love the option to add contacts by swiping left for no and right for yes. No more tedious scrolling through your contacts, especially if you have a lot of them. Using Mappen for social events is great way to make plans with friends and family.
