- Clunky app, map function nearly useless

While the concept is great, the interactive map is trash. The location search function might find the location, but does not drop a pin, which is the whole point with how this map works. If my current location is 100 miles away from the path of totality and I want to check if a specific address is located within the path, I can't. The map is too small within the app. It covers less than 1/3 of the screen and still requires pinching and finger scrolling to move around. Oops, I dropped a pin 1000 miles away from where I'm planning to be. The tiny map lacks details such as road names. I can't even speak to the quality of the rest of the app since the interactive map is so awful, but it looks like it's just a copy of a (not great looking) website.

- What is wrong with map location

Using the search function bar I cannot get the app to successfully "find "a location; before the map/app upgrade earlier today, the functionality was great. Any thoughts?

- Excellent Eclipse App

This is an excellent eclipse app. You can drop pins on a location and see the total eclipse duration, when the eclipse starts, the start of totality, maximum eclipse, the end of totality and the end of the eclipse. A nice addition would be a button to get you the current weather for where you put your pin or a button to get a weather forecast for where you put your pin. The simulations of the eclipse from where you dropped your pin are nice. It would be good if the simulation could be saved or watched as a movie. This app will help me set up my intervalometer to take pictures of the eclipse. Let’s hope we have clear skies.

- Great and useful app

I'm very impressed with this app. The interactive map lets you figure out where the best spot to observe the eclipse is. Even if you can't make it into the region of totality, it will show you what the eclipse will look like from your location. Lots of general information about the eclipse. Highly recommended.

- Was great app, but suddenly does not function

Until today the app functioned well. Today the search function does not work. Every location I've entered today comes up "not found", even Columbus, OH. It also seems very slow in starting up. I've deleted the app and reinstalled with no change.

- Great app

A very good app for preparing for the eclipse. For the photography lovers it would be fantastic to have a small bar on the side or bottom of the interactive map with the number of degrees it represents (which would change as one zooms in or out). Congrats on a job well done.

- Start and Stop times are off

After updating my IOS to latest version, I notice that the eclipse times are off by a number of hours. Still a useful app, but the time function needs to be fixed. (Yes, I uninstalled and reinstalled)

- Didn't work during eclipse time, useless

I downloaded this app to watch the eclipse with my family. I used it in the days leading up to the eclipse however when we wanted to use the app during the eclipse the site was bogged down and we were unable to use it. Overall concept was okay, interactive map wasn't great. For a free app it was okay, just didn't serve any purpose when it came down to needing it.

- Itsnotfree

First thing that pops up after downloaded is $2.99 if I want to continue. Why does the app price nor appear before? Everyone wants to get rich with the eclipse.

- Pretty Cool

I like the interactive eclipse map, but the background is tan and the sun image is yellow. It's VERY difficult to see where the blue moon transits the image of the sun. A better color contrast between the background and the sun would be appreciated.

- Not what I would call 'feature rich'

The app would probably be great if you did two things: 1. Pay for the upgrade, or 2. Don't use it for a solar eclipse It would seem that their servers are having trouble scaling up for the user load, and as of this instance (1 hour before the eclipse), is not retrieving any data. You would think an app that would be used one in a decade would work during the only time it will be used. Oh well, guess I'll wait another 99 years to try out the app again after they fix their issues.

- Map and times not working

The whole reason I downloaded this app was to get accurate times for the start through the end of the total eclipse. The times are not populating. My coordinates appear on the map as I allowed location permissions completely but no times, therefore this is useless to me. -Charleston, SC

- Fail

I downloaded this after reading a good review. When I try to use the interactive map, after I twice give it permission to use my location, it shows where we are but doesn't fill in any times. Moving on to the regular internet, which does that just fine.

- Time functions stopped working

App is pretty good -- except the Time functions (start, duration, mid, end) appear to have stopped working today. Arrg

- Fantastic!

This is a great! Really useful! This will help me decide the best place for viewing. Plus, it's really intuitive!

- Failed when I needed it

Worked fine up until the day of the eclipse. About an hour before the eclipse was due to start it became unresponsive. None of the "view" buttons would do anything. Disappointing.

- Map is too small

I just started to use the app & am already frustrated by the tiny map.

- Doesn't work

Waste of time. It has no info on eclipse times when you click on your location. Update 8/22: received response from developer but it's just a bunch of useless links. Please advise.

- Did they not anticipate the load?

The app was working an hour ago. Now I'm getting no response. Did they not anticipate and plan for the load of everyone using this app during the eclipse???

- Not working

This was a great app before the eclipse but now that the day is here it has stopped calculating the times and durations. No matter where I go on the map, all the important info remains blank.

- Total Failure

The interactive eclipse map failed completely about 2 hours before totality. So, we went old school, ignored the app, and just enjoyed the event. App was great disappointment

- Best Eclipse App

I used this app in my fourth and fifth grade gifted classes. The students loved it!

- What a horrible thing

So, the day of the eclipse, the hour before IT STOPPED WORKING!!!! Of course there was the GREAT POPUP for an in app purchase for the UPGRADED VERSION. REALLY?? What a load of .... Developer response???? A very long convoluted string of pseudo hypertext??? Meaningless to me.

- Not there when you needed it

As the sky went dark with the moon crossing the sun, this app gave me light... in the form of a blank screen. To paraphrase Maggie O'Hooligan, "Tanks fer nuttin', Danny."

- Fun companion to Eclipse of the Century!

Simple, straightforward, and fun! Not confusing or nerdy! Have fun!

- Popup ads haywire

Impossible to use. Blinking, hopping, frenetic ad forbids my use of app!

- Amazing!

Good work!

- Dawn of new age

End of this Age, 😀

@eclipse_tt I was thinking around 1 in 500. All the stuff I’ve seen gives me safari zone vibes. Although actually thinking about it. There’s what 12 dens available each time minus the boss? That’s in theory 13 chances at hitting the roll which could be why it’s so common.

𝙎𝙤𝙣 𝙂𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙣 !

@Electro_Eclipse i've tried the app, safari, brave, and chrome

R$ch$E #CrownTundra

@eclipse_tt They are slowly adding back the fully realized wild area with these DLCs but the fact that the base game is just one straight line with parts of forests & cities that you can't just explore is squandered potential. I hope in the sinnoh remakes the safari zone is like in this beta
