Still great but could be better. I have played all of iron hides game and I’m a huge fan of the developer. The game is very fun, but the progression feels a bit lacking. The upgrade tree for towers is smaller than previous games and you will most likely have it completed before you finish the game. For me this is an issue because in previous titles I loved going back on the harder difficulties to earn more stars and continue to put points into my tower skills. There really is no reason here to go back and replay on a harder difficulty. Also, it’s nice having 5 towers to chose from but overall it feels like a downgrade because previously each tower had two options for its final upgrade which left more room for strategy. My final complaint is that for 5 dollars the game seems rather short.

Good but some changes that I am not thrilled with. I have bought all the Kingdom Rush games because they are good fun and my 6 year old likes playing them with me. This one is not different. It was fun to play. I liked the new towers, although I don’t think you need most of the towers. I liked the twist that you were playing the bad guy. Overall, it was fun. What I did not like was the lack of ability to have multiple different games going at one time. In the past versions you could have three games going at once. This allowed me to play my own game, my son to play his own game, and one joint game. I can live without that, although it did bum me out. The lack of additional campaigns and quests after you finish the main game is a real bummer and why I dropped the rating to three stars. In the last versions there were additional campaigns you could play. Those were a lot of fun and are missing from this version. I don’t worry about the in app purchases, we don’t buy any of them. You don’t need any of them. we won the game with all the free towers, I suspect you can do just fine without any of the new towers that were introduced. But losing the additional campaigns is a blow. The game cost the same as the others but has about 1/3 less content in it. Seriously bummed out by that.

Huge fan, but. I have played hundreds of hours of the Kingdom Rush games (the first 3). This installment is OK for one single play through, but there’s something missing that I can’t fully grasp. Towers no longer have dual conversions, so you,re stuck with a single tower to upgrade. Instead, we have more towers to choose from (the good ones are behind a disgusting pay wall), but they must be selected before the match begins. It appears that we have more towers to use, but in reality, we have less options during gameplay. Enemies no longer stand out individually, but rather tend to all blend in together according to their class. In previous installments, enemies stood out. Maps are OK, but not fun enough to replay. No endless versions of a single map (all maps should have an endless mode at this point in game development). It’s a Kingdom Rush game that has lost it’s soul.

Such a waste.. I’ve been a fan of Kingdom Rush since the very beginning.. I still remember the first time I played it years ago.. so when I saw this new version I was SO hyped. While the game does look very appealing and felt a bit nostalgic... While the new mechanics aren’t bad and it gives it a new aspect.. I felt like game was very “slow” ever the added after game level weren’t entertaining. I couldn’t help be bored before I got to the end. However I just couldn’t help feeling that this game was nothing more than a money grab. Not only do you need to be a few dollars if you want another Hero now you have to buy towers as well.. had the actual game been fun like it’s predecessors maybe I wouldn’t mind so much. But my very first thoughts before I even played my first stage was how baffling it was to have to pay SO much money if you want all the towers other than the ones they give you. It pains me to see such a game with so much potential be reduced to this.

A disappointing fall from grace. I love kingdom rush, but this game is simply a disappointment. Not only is it a cash grab, but it has a lot of flaws that simply don’t go away just from spending money. It is far too easy. I’d even say that impossible difficulty is about as hard as the other games’ normal difficulty. The enemies are simply too spread out and weak. A lot of things, even paid towers, could be fixed easily, but haven’t been. One of the shadow archer tower’s upgrades is a raven that does 1-2 damage per hit. It’s useless. A lot of towers are also OP. There is also little replay value, which could be fixed by just adding an endless mode. The one point I’ll give is that the new tower system has allowed extra creativity, which I like. Overall, however, this game is disappointing but should still be played by any tower defense enjoyer.

Another amazing game by Ironside just wish it had an endless mode. I have played and beaten all the games in the kingdom rush series and this one by far is the best we’ve seen. The biggest and most notable change is to the tower systems with the ability to swap out different types of towers to fit your play style. I have seen lots of reviews condemning ironside for adding in paid towers to the game but having played and beat the game with all the basic towers before opting to buy new ones with money the game is totally playable and enjoyable this is not a paywall experience. The only complaint I have had since the first kingdom rush is that I wish it had a “sandbox” style endless mode with a few maps to choose from. I can’t tell you how many times I just really start getting into a certain level just for it to end at wave 15. If you have any doubts about this game don’t and buy it immediately. Hands down the best tower defense experience.,

My prayers have been answered!!. I love this game!!! I’ve always wanted a evil kingdom rush and this one does not disappoint. There are a variety of towers to chose from although some have to be bought with real $$$, same goes for the villains which I’m a little disappointed in considering you only get 3 free ones and the rest are costly. My only problem with the game is that I feel like I didn’t get enough for the $4 I spent on this game. The game has a regular campaign but after that, there’s nothing! No side mission or survival games like in the other 3. All I ask is for more free towers and heroes and more content. Also another idea that I thought would be a cool feature is a sort of sandbox mode to the game where you can do whatever you want choose which enemies you defend against. Nevertheless they did an excellent job on this game and I can’t wait for the next one!!!

Good but short. I wish it were longer! Also, I played the first KR, and I loved it. This one seems a little off though... like the towers don’t “feel” as powerful. They have pros and cons in an attempt to make them seem more interesting and for more variety, but there was no solid fun combination that I could find. Also, I enjoyed having the option to specialize towers into two different trees. That was cool. Each served a unique purpose. The towers in this game, it seems like it’s hard to tell how they are different from each other. Odd, I know. Also! One BIG gripe I have. The flipping vines that grow up on the towers. I absolutely hate it. It is sooo frustrating on my I Phone. When I tap on the tower to get rid of the vines, the screen moves and I miss the purchase axe button. There must be a way to make the vines more fun, but in their current state, they are absolutely abysmal and not fun. It’s still an over all good game! It looks great. The story is fun, and the Easter eggs are funny. The hero’s in this one are cool too. You could add random encounters on the map as you progress. This would help with the length of the game. Add endless mode? On any level? I didn’t see that anywhere. There were unused areas on the map too. That was a bummer. Just needs more content.

Great ... but not the same. I love this new game and it’s new mechanics. Being able to customize you towers add a much harder part in the game. However, I feel that although this game is good, it is nothing compared to its predecessors, namely origins. The hero’s feel like cheap copies from the other games in the franchise and it just feels that the life and blood of the series, the dark humor and Easter eggs, are tuned down a bit compared to the others. It may just be that I have not spent time to play origins or frontiers in recent years and I just have good memories tied to them, but I don’t think that changes the fact that something feels missing. Overall, yes I highly recommend this game because this series because the series is pure gold and even though I consider it worse then it’s predecessors, anyone would enjoy playing this masterpiece of a game.

I would’ve never known. I saw this game in the App Store omg I wanna get this game so bad, but it was 4.99. I didn’t get the game and saw Iron Marines was out which was free. The moment I finished the first level I hated it. I waited for another tower defense game to come out because I’m obsessed with them and they got a little more popular. I got Bloons td 6 and it Hooked me for a long time. I eventually I became bored and had no clue what to do so I bought this game. I went through the tutorial and I saw you were the bad guy. I didn’t know this till I got the game. Not only that but they beat bloons td6 by having upgrades for your hero and other stuff. They also beat bloons td6 by having more towers not just 4. Not only that but they beat the other kingdom rush’s by not making it as hard. I’d have to say the bad thing about this game is that it is to short. I finished the game in a couple of hours so I’m waiting for a kingdom rush vengeance origins!

Very polished, lacking end game.. I have played and love each of the Ironhide S.A. games. The graphics and animations on Vengeance are superb. I love the new tower mechanic. There are also a variety of new mechanics with the stages and enemies that keep things fresh. On the downside...I was really disappointed when I finished the game and no bonus or endless levels popped up. I had not read any of the reviews yet, so I did not know that this was lacking. Hopefully this can be added in the future. Though I will do them just because they are fun, it is also less fun to not get additional stars for doing the second and third challenges for each stage. I’d love for the talent tree to be a bit more expansive and allow for more stars on the challenges. Lastly, the heroes. While each fun in their own right, only having three feels like a letdown. That goes back to the original game and just seems like a step backwards. Still, for its shortcoming in those departments, it was still a blast to play, and I will continue my way through all of the challenges for some time to come.

Another Great Game. They’ve done it again! Another great game by ironhide. I’ve played every single one of their games, and they never seem to disappoint. I love how they have used a colored map in this one, and some more changes, such as no more tower upgrade paths but instead you can choose different towers. I don’t like that change much, but maybe because I’m not used to that. The only complaint that I have is that there are no extra missions once you have finished the campaign, unlike the other games. The upgrade tree should have a few more upgrades, but everything else is fine. They probably don’t have extra missions because of how new this game is, but hopefully they will be added in the near future. Nonetheless, great game, and if you like it, you will enjoy their other games as well. Keep it up, Ironhide!

Feel kind of ripped off. I just bought KRV a few days ago. I am familiar with the KR series, played it on and off over the years. I love the games, the art style, the mechanics, it’s all great. However, I take issue with the pay-wall that is currently in place. As I understand the game normally costs $5 on the AppStore, which is totally fair for a great game. Once I got the game though, I found there to be an astonishing amount of content locked behind a pay-wall. A few things behind a paywall as dlc would make sense, but so much? At first I thought “it might be worth a few extra dollars for some cool content “. Then I saw the “discounted “ price tag. $31 plus tax to receive all of the content, minimum, on an app that already costs $5? That’s ridiculous. I was also extremely disappointed to see that less than a quarter of the hero’s were unlockable through gameplay, and so near the start as well. I would have hoped to see a few more heros to collect. It would give the game something more to drive players to achieve. The fact that so few of the heros are unlockable and the price to unlock all the content is so steep, makes players feel like they have been ripped-off, and makes me start to regret my purchase.

It’s just not the same.... I’m such a fan. I’ve played the 3 other games before this one and really have had years of enjoyment. The colors and scale seem gaudy and almost more childlike now. Really love and appreciate the art even if the color scale is wrong. The lag time between entering and leaving a level is tortuous and having to look at those red eyes fill up so slowly is painful... maybe they could change that screen into a complex cool geometry or labyrinth image instead? It would also be nice if we had the option to be the good guy or bad. It’s fun having those bag guy options for sure but the underlying message is “the bad guy in charge isn’t the worst bad guy. There could be worse, but not a good guy either”. Interesting? Some of the tower options like the treants, melting furnace, and goblirangs seem really lame and ineffective. I want to like it but it’s not happening yet. It doesn’t feel pleasing to look at and I think that’s the worst thing for me. It’s great that they have upgrades adding more but it’s only 3 levels and then you’re done. How about 2 or 3 endless levels to play? At least I still have the first 3 games! I really hope you guys can fix it in the next version. Good luck!🕉🙏🏼

Good but some minor complaints. Well first of all I don’t exactly mind the fact that it feels like a cash grab since I beat the game without spending anything extra but a few things still bother me like the fact that there is no encyclopedia because of this I found the enemy’s and towers at times quite forgettable as in the other games I could always remember what exactly they could do (plus I liked the small jokes that were sometimes in there) and now onto the next thing, the towers I feel like they all just seem kind of bland I liked how powerful they could be but sometimes they just didn’t feel great playing with, and then that ends my review it’s still a great game and it’s worth the cash but that’s everything I have to say

Worth the money. This is a great game! Kingdom Rush has always been a good series, and this is no exception. The unique secrets and hero traits are fun to play with, and it’s cool to play as the bad guy. This game gives a pretty good challenge, too, which is nice, because some tower defense games can be too easy, while others are impossibly hard. This game finds a good balance. Some heroes and towers are paid, which I completely understand and am fine with. My only problem is that nearly all of the heroes are paid, when they are the most fun to use! I personally bought the black dragon, and loved it. However, I feel like more of the heroes should be free. The tower variety is nice but they sometimes feel obsolete. In the last levels I was only using the same few towers over and over, which may just be a personal preference. Another issue, if you can call it that, is I wish the game was longer. It was super fun and I loved playing it, and I was sad to see that I had beaten it. Other than that, this game is definitely worth the time!

Huge fan but this one slips a bit. Starting off by saying I've played every single kingdom rush game and this is the only series of apps I've ever thought were worth purchasing. I'd rate all the previous ones 5 stars. That being said, this one is a bit of a miss for me. I don't really see this as a cash grab like other reviewers since I never felt the want to buy extras. But I agree with others that the game was much too short. With the new upgrade system, there's also no incentive to do the challenge modes and complete to 100 which I always did with previous games. The towers were a little underwhelming and I didn't think any of their abilities were really that fun to use like previous games. They got rid of the tower upgrade tiers which made me lose a feeling of progression in the game. I think biggest letdown for me was the new tower system which brought down available towers during actual gameplay from 8 variants to 5. Visually the game is still top notch though and the concept of playing as the villain was well done. Overall, a bit disappointed but still a loyal fan to the series.

Paying for Towers?!?!. I have all the kingdom rush games and iron marines which I all loved playing, however this newest installment is different by paying for towers... seriously?! I was completely fine that you had to pay for heroes since it did not majorly affect the gameplay, and it was still do-able with the free heroes. Now I am stuck with either buying heroes or unlocking ALL the towers first,(which is about $23 tax not included). I gave one star just because it was a KR game, another star since the graphics were beautiful, and the third star for the awesome switch as being the “bad guys” in this installment of Kingdom Rush. I really love you creators but when I saw in-game that you made towers an in-app purchase, it just made me sad ;(. If it wasnt for that, then I would have rated it 5/5. Also I checked the in-app purchases on this game on itunes and it doesnt even include purchase costs of towers nor does it list them.

Weakest of the series. Let me start with my biggest gripe. The game does not track Game Center achievements. It will if you remember to dig through the settings menu and click on achievements before playing. Only then will it connect to Game Center and track. If you get achievements while not connected it will never sync those achievements to Game Center. I don’t know why this simple bug has not been addressed. The rest of the series connects to Game Center on App Start. On to the game itself there is a heavy focus on micro transactions for hero’s and particularly towers, which is unique in the series. This isn't a freemium game either so it stands out much more. The towers themselves are not as interesting. The offering of purchasable hero’s and towers feels too broad in options questioning the attention to balance in the gameplay. It comes across as bait to attract players to trying nothing more than changing the window dressing. The game does however do well in the graphics department and introducing some new and interesting enemies and scenes. There are some other polish elements around the interface that are particularly good in this offering.

Amazing game!. I have never really played these games before. Not much of a phone gamer. But let me tell you my friends... I got so hooked to this game that I ended up finishing the game on normal 3 staring everything. Oh and btw all in 10 hours straight with breaks to eat. The game is super fun and addicting honestly and super worth 5$. There is still much I haven’t done. Tons of achievements and 2 challenge versions of all the levels. Now for the criticism I’d say this. I don’t really care about spending money on games so I actually ended up from the beginning unlocking all the towers and champions, but honestly it is wayyy too expensive. The game itself is 5$ the extra stuff could be around 10$ max id say and that’s being generous. The towers are pretty unbalanced as well IMO the dark forest is basically a must have always and there is nothing that comes close to how effective it is at holding enemies back. My biggest issue with the gameplay is that I bought all champions as well to have some fun. But the only true options if you have all unlocked are the 3 Dragons. Champions not being able to move thru terrain is ridiculous and the black dragon has a basic spell that kills almost everything in the whole screen on a low cooldown. So there isn’t many viable options for champions either. Over all tho the game is fantastic, super fun and addicting and definitely has some challenge to it.

Great game & don’t complaint for IAP. Kingdom rush is my favorite iOS game. I have all series and still keep them on iPad. The game itself has great quality as previous one like it always. I understand ppl don’t like IAP, however it is not same case for kingdom rush. Premium heroes and towers are nice to have but it is not necessary to beat game. The devs bring lots more towers compare to last 3 games. It is not surprised that they charge few of them. I usually purchase some heroes I liked right away to support dev, then purchased all of rest once they are sale later on. It will be the same for tower this time. Some people think they already pay for the game then should get all of the content. But come on, those premium heroes and towers are just DLC which available instantly when game come out. WHY it has to be free? If you can’t afford it, that’s fine. Please don’t complain it any more. Last we all know devs will have update with new campaigns and heroes. Guessing this time if they will release more towers. I am willing to pay if those are cool.

Just Like Old Times. This whole saga is just amazing, I recently downloaded it after seeing it in an ad and I thought eh whatever, but when I started playing it, not only did the game’s upgrade options, cool heroes, concepts, cameos, nostalgia ugh. This game is pact full of memories. The heroes from kingdom rush are now bosses, and the bosses are now heroes... not only that but the people you have to fight are all troops from kingdom rush, frontiers, and even origins. And absolutely love the bone hart cameo, he’s my favorite hero. I’m aware I’m fanboying a little but still. If any of you are OG’s this game will leave a smile on your face on EACH level, and it’s not even bosses nor troops... THE CAMEOS. I don’t wanna spoil any of the GOOD stuff but all the cameos are practically listed in the achievements log. The whole point of this is to say. THIS... GAME, SAGA, FRANCHISE... RULES!!!!!!!!!!

Missing quality of life. First off I just want to say this game is a huge improvement over origins and is tons of fun. However, I noticed some quality of life was removed and was kind of disappointed. First off, where are the multiple save files? One thing I liked about the previous games is that I could try to complete the campaign with some challenges in mind, such as beating the game with no star upgrades. It was reassuring to do this knowing my main save file was still there. Now you can’t do this anymore. Secondly, what happened to the encyclopedia? In previous games, I liked to read the many bios on the enemies. It’s just not here in this game! Instead, you just have to rely on the one pop up card from each enemy, which is just not enough because you’ll forget each bio in due time. Add these two things back into the game and my review will become 5 stars.

Another amazing game! But it’s missing one thing.. I’d like to start of saying I’v played every Kingdom Rush game to date and I loved all of them. In fact I 100% complete every single one. The one thing I looked forward to in all of these games was the bonus levels after you beat the campaign. These were always super challenging and great fun after you’ve beat all the campaigns iron challenges and such. But they seem to have left them out of this game and that was super disappointing to me. While playing through I would look at spots on the map and say, “That’ll be an extra level for sure” but unfortunately there were none. Please I would love to see the extra levels you guys come up with, especially with all these new towers you have added. (which I love by the way) Overall still a great game, and highly recommend playing if you love tower defense games.

Still good ... but different, and I’m old. So. This is a thing, I guess. For six or seven years I’ve been a huge fan of this franchise, and I played the crap out of the original, Frontiers, and Origins. I bought most but not all of the heroes for all three, so I’m pretty well invested here. Vengeance is familiar but different. The core gameplay hasn’t much changed. But the UI aesthetic seems to have taken a cue from the current crop of free to play games. Don’t get me wrong — this isn’t a sleazy money grabbing F2P title. But it kind of looks a little like one now. You can buy towers now. Dunno how I feel about that, but it’s not like there aren’t plenty of free towers in the game so I don’t think it bothers me much. What I really don’t like is that they’ve changed the upgrades. You don’t spend stars, you occasionally level up. And the skill trees aren’t based on towers now, which I suppose makes sense because they’ve added a bunch of new towers. But it makes it less clear what’s going on with the upgrade system. And you don’t seem to get anything for completing the challenges for each board, unlike previous titles (where you’d get one upgrade star). That’s kind of a bummer. Overall ... it’s good? I guess? But I’m not that excited about it.

Awesome Game! But... This game is a blast! I have played every game Iron Hide has made and I have yet to be disappointed! Although the game is not free, this are the best $4.99 plus tax I had spent. You get a tower defense game that is repayable with different difficulties and achievements to get, some are pop culture references (that’s another thing I love!) as the title says there’s something “bad” and that is since I have an iPhone XS Max, the notch gets on the way blocking a part of the map which can be frustrating because sometimes the entrances for my base are covered by the notch I’m not able to deploy my heroes or bombs to stop those pesky stragglers that made it past my towers while they were busy targeting the rest. Maybe make the game fill the screen and hide the notch? Idk. Another minor problem I have is that you buy the game for $4.99 and some of the towers or heroes you might want cost more money and some of those add ons are $6.99. I would love for Iron Hide to maybe cut the price of those add ons in half (because you already spent $4.99 to be able to play the game) or charge a bit more for the game (maybe like $9.99 and include everything) This game is great I recommend everyone to try it!

There game is fun but has issues of course. The graphics are nice and the gameplay is similar to what I remembered when I played Kingdom Rush a few years ago but there are some annoying things with the game. First, the rounds take a really long time. There needs to be some kind of speed up option otherwise you’re looking at 15 or even 20 minute rounds. Second, the premium towers are severely underpowered. I get that they shouldn’t make the game too easy, but if I’m spending real money on an in game item, I do expect some kind of competitive advantage. I spent $13 to unlock all the towers only for like 1 or 2 of them to be viable. I fear the situation is the same for the heroes which I won’t be buying. Third is less of an issue and just more of expectation which is more game modes and more varied gameplay. My biggest issue is with the premium towers though.

Best of the series in Gameplay but worst in game purchasable content. The game is great and by far the best of the series. I like how you can now customize what towers you use in the game which makes for a great way to change your strategy based on the level. I also love the feel of the game, now that your the Villains we get to see their side of the story which is very entertaining. I also love the little Easter eggs to other series that gives you something to do while the battle is going on. However the draw back of this game is that you have to not only purchase some hero’s but now even the towers? it seems pretty greedy for the amount of content there is. If they were .99 cents maybe that’d be better but really I think it doesn’t feel I should pay 30$ for the whole game. Heck you could keep the prices if you would give us a way to achieve some of the towers or hero’s. Either by achieving some goals or completely levels in certain ways or just saving gems for the towers. This would increase the time to play the game and you’d get the whole game.

I didn’t want it to give the game a four.. When I played the first three games I love them i gave them all a 5 because they are the best towers defense games in my opinion. The reason I’m giving this a four because of the cost I’m talking about how much the games cost to get it it’s the towers it ridiculous how you have to pay to get seven towers for 15$. I loved the game from the start the map the towers the map designs and then my happy smiling face when to a pretty sad face when saw all the towers when I went to the end I saw seven towers that cost money I checked all the prices and saw in total you have to pay 15$ even tho I used three dollars to get the game I wish it was like the other three where unlock each tower for free but no this one is different.

New Update. The new update is amazing. I love everything about the tower. It has very enjoyable abilities, such as the one that summons a dune terror and another that instantly kills a large group of enemies. The enemies are also amazing but dangerous, which makes the levels very difficult (which is good). The map designs are awesome like always as well. However, there is something I’m a little disappointed about. It’s probably a very small thing, but crucial to me. The hero is cool with his ranged attack and abilities, but there is an ability missing from the original. The original heals allies and I know this is small but we added these other abilities over that one, which seems unfinished. I love how ironhide is bringing back old things, but I feel like those things will feel unfinished without their original abilities. But whatever, ironhide still did an amazing job. They deserve the money.

Greed. I love ironhide and I am especially a fan of their kingdom rush games. The original was fun and basic. It cost only a few bucks and the in app purchases were completely optional heroes. This was the standard for the first three games. However, with this game ironhide got a little greedy. There are five towers that you can buy to add into your game and in my opinion it creates a tough choice. On the one hand, it cost around 20 dollars for all of the towers. On the other, it makes it feel as though I’m missing a huge facet of the game by not purchasing them. I like vengeance. Maybe even more than the previous games. I’ve even been anticipating it since a few months after the release of origins. But the price of these towers just feels like my kingdom rush games have become another cash grab. I know you make your games relatively cheap. And we all have to make money somehow. But one of the towers alone cost two more dollars than the game itself. I love you ironhide and your kingdom rush games. But I really think the towers should be cheaper or at least introduce a way to buy all the towers at once at a reduced cost.

Love the new DLC!. I’m so happy to see Ironhide continue to add content to this amazing game! It’s awesome that the new campaign features 5 levels instead of 2 or 3 like in most previous campaigns. The new hero and tower are really cool and unique. The only thing I can think that I would like see implemented into the game is an encyclopedia! All the other kingdom rush games have one, and I’ve always found it satisfying to look back at the many enemies and bosses that I’ve encountered and read the descriptions for them again! Especially now that there are sooo many enemies and bosses in this game! I hope Ironhide can introduce an encyclopedia for this game sometime down the line. Anyways, great new update and I look forward to what else Ironhide has in store for us!

Amazing as always. I suppose that I’ve come to expect a certain degree of quality from iron hide’s games and this one does not disappoint. I played through the whole campaign and the addition of tower loadouts make this game feel fresh and new. The idea of playing as the bad guys for once is awesome, though I do hope that sometime in the future we can play as the attackers instead of the defenders. The heroes are awesome, and the towers all feel unique. There are an incredible amount of new enemies, and I’m excited for whatever is next to come for this game. I will admit that there is not much to do at the moment, so I’m hoping that an endless mode is added as well as a few new stages. This has been the case for the other entries in this series. Great job once again guys.

Thank you ironhide. This game is great, I think the best of the series (and it’s a phenomenal series). The game is genuinely polished and well made, the care that this studio takes to make mobile games is apparent in this one just like in all on their titles. The thing that really makes me happy about this game is the pay structure. In an era of game developers trying to relentlessly cram monetization down our throats, ironhide does it super well. You can buy everything with real money, including new towers, but what you can buy does not overshadow what you unlock by playing and I felt like they showed me respect while adding more monetization to the game. I bought stuff in this game because I wanted more cool content, not because the game wasn’t fun without it. Awesome game, this studio is the golden goose of mobile games as of now.

Best IOS Game Ever. I played this game on my iPad Mini 2 which handles most new intense graphics games horribly, but with my experience with the older versions of Kingdom Rush. I hoped it would let me have some descent graphics quality even on my lower end device. I was amazing! Best smooth running game I have ever played on my iPad. The levels were entertaining and I never got bored. I was so excited when I passed each level on the campaign and I found myself shouting out loud “LETS GO BABY!” Even my Dad who hardly ever plays games on his phone is super addicted to this game series. When I told him they made the new kingdom rush he was like “Yesss!” 101% work the $5. Hell, I would have payed $15 if I had known it would be this good. To the developers, please make another one soon!!!

DLC? Post Campaign?. I want to start off by saying this is nearly my favorite kingdom rush game, second to only origins. When you manage to look past the extra paid towers and heroes, it is a wonderful game. Except it’s lacking the Kingdom Rush staple: a post campaign that is nearly as long as the actual campaign. It’s what keeps people playing for months and years on end. The Aquatic expansion was a good start, and I’m hoping Ironhide looks at it that way as well. Perhaps Oloch finally rises up against you and you have to defeat him. Maybe Denas’s heir starts to challenge you. Maybe you move south looking to fight your way to hammer hold in the wake of Malagar’s defeat in frontiers. There are so many possibilities and so much potential in this game it is impossible to ignore. I have been a fan of Kingdom Rush since she it was a flash game and I can tell you that the only thing this game needs to skyrocket is more post campaign. I hope you see this Ironhide. Thank you so much for another incredible game, I hope you take it farther, and good luck on “A Rift In Time”.

Squandered potential. Its a good game that offers an array of possibilities except for one problem; it is way too short. So, some complaints have been about a few towers that are behind a paywall. The paywall doesn't bother me too much. As the developer commented in one response I read (paraphrasing), “the pay towers are there just to add some new possibilities and also if you just want to experiment with them.” Thats fair enough. However, what makes no sense is that they want you to buy towers and them provide only the campaign stages to use them on. And those stages ended up being way too easy at any difficulty and the whole campaign can be beat in a single day. To unlock the whole game with all the towers and heros would be about $30. That’s insane. $30 dollars for a game that can only be played on a handful of maps. And dont forget all that nonsense in the first 7 stages where you can’t even level up to full strength and the enemies practically fall over dead from exhaustion. What exactly is fun about that?

Plz continue. I really enjoy your games, I can’t wait for the next one to come out already, I have be a fan of your game for ages, and I’m getting into building comicy games like you guys. I never want you to change your style. I enjoy how this is funny even thought it is the coolest game ever. I think I can say that this is the best tower defense game out there. The games are huge, and just the best. Thank you, you guys have made 5 of the best mobile games I’ve ever played. Also, I do like how you changed the good guys to the bad guys. Another cool thing you could do is make it so you have to attack and get past the flags. As you go you unlock better enemies. You can destroy towers with certain enemies like a monster called “Shotgun” a creature small, has 135 health, very stealthy, low shield and once it reaches the nearest tower, it grows Hughes and just eats the tower, Michael on it for a bit, then explodes. Another cool thing you could do is a path block. It blocks the path and your army is trapped so it builds up to form bigger hordes.

Expensive. That’s the gist. You end up paying around $60 for the complete experience as of writing this in March 2024. I don’t know how you should feel about it. I’m not a whale -my excuse was I got an ultra primo iPad, and I guess I wanted to put an ultra-primo game on it. This is the most expensive game I’ve ever bought on the App Store. Thing is, the quality is on par with like a 3DS game or even some switch games. On the App Store however, I don’t know, it does feel pretty brazen, so up to you. The art style’s great but it’s the animations that make me smile. They clearly put alot of heart into them. They can stand to lower the price by $20 though. I feel like $40 should be the limit. Because at $60 you’re in console territory. The App Store only has maybe three modern console games and compared to those, the higher ups for this dev studio may need to eat a slice of humble pie. And yes it’s a five star game, but four for the price.

It hurts me to give it three.. Let me start out by saying, I’ve been a kingdom rush fan since day one. They are by far the best mobile games on the market. Vengeance had so much potential yet it was squandered. Let’s start with the pros. First, the game looks great. It is very visually appealing and is very detailed. Second, is there are SOME good towers in this game and they really play of your nostalgia. For instance, the Dark Knights or the Harassers were some of the coolest, yet most annoying enemies to go against, and to have them in your arsenal is beyond epic. The third, is that it has some cool level design. But in my opinion, it seemed that this game was a BIG cash grab. Just playing on people’s nostalgia to buy it. Firstly, let’s talk about the towers you have to pay for. That is completely unacceptable. There is one they sell for around $7!!!! Second, is the terribly boring enemies. They had so many chances to put in cool enemies yet they failed. Third, is the lack of content. There were very few levels to play in and no post campaign levels when they first came out. And then they release the most terrible DLC with 3 new levels. It is SO bad. The enemies are just annoying and really break the mechanics of the game. Lastly, is wasted potential. There were so many cooler towers and hero’s they could’ve come up with. In all, this is a great game, but it does not match up the the Kingdom Rush Standard.

A new twist and another great installment in the series!. When I first heard another kingdom rush game was out I was excited, but also questioning how they were going to make this one even better than Origins, which was even better than the past games itself. My questions immediately went away after I opened the app and tried it. For starters, The artwork was much better, and the game ran even smoother. I love the ability to customize your tower layout too. It’s a great twist on the original games that makes this one unique. I haven’t finished the game yet, but it’s even harder than the past few, which I love. When the game is challenging, it makes you happier and satisfied when you finally finish the level you’ve been stuck on. The kingdom rush games never fail to surprise me and I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who loves strategy and tower defense games. 10/10, but if your new to the games, I would start with the original and work my way through. Love this game and the whole series!

Love it. First off wanted to start by saying AMAZING game I’ve played every TD game made by these developers. This TD was much more challenging the the previous 2 KR games. One thing I like the turret wheel kind like picking a load out. However it makes me miss being able pick two towers in game. I loved the hero’s in the game the unique passives and new abilities are fun to use. One of my concerns is how many purchases were available in this one. I know games have to make money and the campaign was definitely beatable with the basic towers. But I would be devastated if future games couldn’t be beat unless u spent money. That’s all for now just want say amazing game and keep adding more. Update... love the new lvls they came out with and towers. I sincerely hope there are more lvls the only bummer for the winter campaign there wasn’t any end comic seen where u catch the next hint of the villains plan. additional the boss for the winter campaign was pretty weak the lvl itself was much more of a challenge then the actual boss. I will say I like how they put in the yeti as a hero. That’s all for now I really hope the next update is coming soon

They Did it again, you should buy it!. I’ve been playing Kingdom Rush and it’s sequels since the first one came out years ago. Unlike all the other apps on my phone, I haven’t deleted them, and still play when I’m bored. When I heard Ironhide was making a fourth game where I get to play as the baddies, I was already counting down the days until it came out. I haven’t played much, but from what I have played, I can tell you it has everything you should expect of KingdomRush games, or any tower defense games, and even more so. The tower variety is awesome, and while it’s upsetting I can’t play all 16 towers for free (5 are premium), I can understand why it has to be that way. Personally, I refrain from using premiums and items when first clearing levels, but I did buy them, and I gotta admit, they’re really fun to mess around with. If you liked the old games or are just discovering the series, I highly recommend you pay the 5 dollars for this game, they give you way more than just 5 dollars worth for this game. Plus, the mini campaigns will add even more content, so we’ll have something to look forward to later!

Don’t listen to bad reviews.. Basically this game is 5/5 hands down. I’ve played the other 3 kingdom rush games so many times that I was finally wanting something new. Then a 4th kingdom rush was announced a while back and here it is. Extremely satisfied with it, can’t wait for the bonus campaigns to come out too. Now people complain about towers that have to be bought but they are highly unnecessary. I finished the game already one highest difficulty with 3 stars on all campaigns plus iron and heroic challenges without much issue since I’m seasoned at the rush games at this point. But with decent planning and good strategy this game is DEFINITELY NOT pay to win. Now one thing is some powers of the towers feel underpowered such as the shadow archer crow. But other wise it’s not that bad since u can replace shadow archers easily with boomerang or the bone tower. Anyways great and hope for more soon.

Amazing, and nothing less than expected... The Kingdom Rush series of games have all been excellent and Rush: Vengeance is no different. All around amazing game and I'm always looking forward to new additions to the games and the series itself.. As a dedicated veteran of the series I find this game very fun and engaging and would recommend it to anyone who's teetering on the line of whether they want to buy this game or not. P.S. [To Devs] The game itself is amazing, but y'all should give people challenges in order to get the towers locked behind pay walls.. They're not necessarily needed to excel in the game but they're nice additions to anyone's load out into a level. That is my only gripe of the game, so if you guys could put in some way to attain these towers in game or, lower the actual monetary price of the towers themselves.

Fun but getting too expensive. Honestly Kingdom Rush is hands down my FAVORITE tower defense series. They offer some fun levels, some challenges, and the always loveably Easter eggs throughout the campaign. This latest game, however, requires you to pay to buy new heroes (as they have in the past) AND use almost half of the towers to choose from. It seems each new game requires more purchases than the previous one. The first was free to play, but pay for new heroes. Second was pay to play and pay for heroes. Now pay for game, heroes and towers. Heroes being purchased, ok, that’s been established. But a bummer about the towers. I can’t necessarily justify the expense on top of already paying to play the game in the first place... it’s “Tower Defense”. The towers shouldn’t be an extra expense. Also, since this is my favorite TD series, I’m generally willing to buy the heroes in a “bundle” deal. I did when the latest game first came out. But now there are a few more added in the latest update, and they’re not unlocked for me. Meaning once again, I’d have to spend more money on something I thought I essentially already paid for (again, the bundle was for all of the heroes). Was hoping they’d honor the purchases made before the update, and allow access to the new heroes too.

Mostly adore it. Bought everything.. Having played every installment of Kingdom Rush, I think this one is overall best. The tower and world designs are awesome. It’s full of small details and Easter Eggs. The tower designs are excellent. I like the spooky Halloween themed ones so much, I try to use them all even on levels when there are better towers. The starter hero is weak, unlike the awesome starter elf you got in Origins. It’s definitely cruddy that you’re presented early on with a limited-time decision to make 2 purchases that raise the price of the game +700%. I can’t recommend this game to friends because what if they don’t enjoy the heroes/towers like I do... at $35+ bucks it’s steep and you need to give new players time to fall in love with the game before you throw that decision at them. Otherwise it feels manipulative like the Chinese knock-offs of KR that litter the App Store. Keep up the great work, and please don’t become another EA Games. I play this series to escape all the dollar signs and that shady casino feeling.

Amazing game but one problem. While Ironhide has made the best mobile games by putting a ton of effort into each and every one there is one thing that makes the game fall below the rest (not by a lot though still 5/5 for gameplay and story). The problem is that it seems to much like iron marines, theres no enemy encyclopedia (which is probably due to game length), there is no way to check the exact stats of the hero’s or towers except for in game (which makes it much harder to consider buying one), and instead of adding more levels they gave you an impossible difficulty which is pointless considering how you have to beat the campaign to unlock and on top of that there’s no proof of beating the game on a harder difficulty which makes playing on then pointless. Not having the encyclopedia or elite levels was a big letdown for me and is my reasoning for giving four stars however I love the new tower mechanic and I love how every tower has 3 upgrades now so outside of these issues it is truly great game and still worth the buy.

This Game is by far the best ever!. I have been a huge fan of the Kingdom Rush series of games science I was like four. I remember when the original one came out. I have bought, played, and loved all of the versions, and I highly recommend them. To me, when I saw this game, the price of buying it was a no-brainer. I new that 3 bucks is totally worth all of the fun, and versatility I would get from this game. To be quite frank, I would buy this one, (it is probably one of the best one’s) and then I would check out all of the other kingdom rushes. They are sooooo great! Anyway, back to vengeance. This one is cool because you get to play as the villain, (Vez’Nan) And I love the fact that you can choose which towers you use, and all of the different enemies and stages. Also, to someone like me that has played all of the games, (including iron marines, which I highly recommend) I start to recognize some of the hero’s and stuff. It just reminds me of all of the time I have played these games. Overall, if you are on the fence about purchasing this game, just do it. It is so worth it and you will not be disappointed!

Bar not as high. The gameplay is there, the great art is there... but somehow this falls short of the other games. It has fewer Easter eggs on the stages, which are generally more static and less interesting overall compared to Origins, Frontiers, etc. The enemy paths also seem less inventive - with fewer mid-level surprises (are there any? I’m about half way through...). The new “mix and match” tower mechanic feels more limiting than anything (you have fewer to work with per round, even when they’re all unlocked). The different upgrade system makes doing other level modes kinda pointless, except to buy one-use items in the shop. I dunno... This is the first game in the series that simply feels like a rehash - and less like a loving effort. That all said, it’s still extremely enjoyable. Ironhide simply set the bar too high for themselves on past games for this one to get five stars.

Same old kingdom rush but less content. The load-out system basically is a cash grab for you to buy new towers. You get 3 hero and rest of them 4 still cost the same price as the game (5$ is the cheapest and 11$ for most of hero’s and towers) Lesser levels, and stars just don’t matter no more. I brought this game because I thought they will allow more heros to be used or all the towers choices will be free (because the game cost more than the other ones) but no~~ same old scam, Also why PC version gets everything for free and mobile need to spend a truck load of money ?

Really good. I’ve played this since I was about 5 and I’ve loved ironhide ever since. These are some of my favourite games and i love them. They could let you make your own level though.

Yet another great kingdom rush. I love this game! This one is a bit harder than the others but that's not a bad thing. It just means it will take longer to conquer and that means more game time! When is the next kingdom rush coming out? I can't wait!

Fun, but with its problems. I love these Rush games and they’ve been quite fun over the years, but this one is lacking somewhat from the previous games. Keeping new towers behind a paywall is rather cheeky, especially with having to pay for the game from the start, and what towers you do have don’t have much variety as they only upgrade to a single version. This one kinda misses the charm that the previous games had. It is fun to play, but there are elements that are missing.

As good or better than the others!. Devotees of Ironsides won’t be disappointed. Similar set up to make it comfortable for old users, but new set up. Great great game....

I love this game but don’t like new version. I totally love this game so much but my game is frozen and each time I reinstall the game it says “ there’s a better saved game”, I click on it and it comes back to the old game that is frozen and I can’t do anything.

Cash grab 2. I have all IronHide games and really liked them but unfortunately they get to greedy in this one. Towers you had for free in previous games are now with a little re-design PayWall towers. The maps also offer not much new same old design with slightly different Grapics. To purchase Towers and Hero’s you up for another nearly $50 + the high initial purchase price.

Great game! Pay to Play. Excellent game, very addictive. However be prepared to spend another 30-60 bucks to get all the good stuff needed to battle at harder levels. Gets a little repetitive after a while but still good fun.

I love it. With it’s many Easter eggs, cringey lines and astonishing art, Kingdom Rush is finally back with a fine addition to the series borrowing a lot from KR Origins. The new diversity with towers is great and the map is gorgeous, can’t wait to ruin it all as I take over everyone and everything. I think so can probably say that this is the best game in the series and for me making it my favourite tower defence game of all time. Whilst being one of the most changed games in the series, having a few more hero’s to choose from would be awesome (payed for or not) and additional levels would really add to the game. Great graphics, great mechanics, great game I love it.

Best IOS game. I have always loved the Kingdom Rush saga very much. I think all the games are fantastic! This newest one certainly doesn't disappoint! I would certainly recommend to all!!

Great game, stop locking content behind paywalls!. I've been a fan of Ironhide since kingdom rush. They have earned a good reputation due to they're quality level designs and consistently stylised art (as well as humour and plenty of Easter eggs). I bough this one (despite it being the most expensive one yet) as soon as I noticed it was on the App Store due to the goodwill built by previous titles. I knew what I was in for, and they delivered on all the necessities; cheesy lines, fun gameplay, new towers etc. I enjoyed this title more than Frontiers and Origins, as it felt like a direct sequel to the first Kingdom Rush, and it brought a load of nostalgia (with returning characters, musical cues, world map and assets). Despite this, Ironhide shouldn't have locked towers behind paywalls. It felt greedy, and now two aspects of our beloved game (heroes and towers) have had sections removed and become microtransactions (or macrotransactions if you are silly enough to buy them all). Also, Ironhide, please add bonus levels as they are some of my favourite parts of the other instalments. The game is to short at the moment. In the end, I would still recommend this to Kingdom Rush fans, it lost a star for the steep price of entry and then the bevy of expensive microtransactions in the game.

Best DLC so far!. Thank you ironhide for the new DLC. I found myself being over welded with the countless on slaughter of enemies and having to be far more tactical in my gameplay than other levels. All I need to say is I’m looking forward to the next DLC and keep doing what your doing.

Disappointing. Such little content for the money it costs

Kingdom rush is finally back!. I’ve been a huge fan of the series and have played the previous three games on both IOS and PC, it’s my favourite tower defence series 😃 love the new towers and maps in this game so far, its the small animations and details that make this series so fun!

$$$ to unlock more content. Love the addition to the KR series but these IAP prices seem quite ridiculous especially for a premium game.

A bit of a backward step for Ironhide. By far the least challenging of the entire KR saga. This results in the game not only feeling too short, but makes getting all the achievements a bit of a chore. On top of that, the in-game catch-phrases are not up to the standard I’ve come to expect from Ironhide. All that said, this is a solid game, and I really like the way they’ve split up tower-specialties into their own towers.

Well worth it. The effort and polish that has gone into this game is phenomenal. Never disappointed by this developer 😊👌 I’m ever one to really by in app purchases but for anyone that does I can see many of them being worthwhile. More enjoyment from this than most AAA titles I’ve played recently on console. Keep it up!!

Kingdom rush. Like the other games I enjoy this a lot . One thing I don’t like is that you play as the bad guy and it doesn’t follow the other story in the other game. Also I don’t really like how you can choose different towers. The cartoon stile is a little weird too but you get use to. Aside from that this is a great game and another addition to the kingdom rush series

Cost / fun ratio is way out of whack. I had never played any of the Kingdom Rush games before. Huge upfront cost for what this game is, and entirely unjustified for what you receive. Seems like 3/4 of the content is behind a paywall, which adds to the level of frustration of playing the game. There should be clearer warnings for rip off purchases like this. Greedy developer. Avoid.

Very good game. The only think that I don’t like about this game is that it dosnt got encyclopaedia on phone please put the feature in, but other then an amazing game

Best one yet!. Huge fan of the series. I was a little disappointed with the previous game (space themed RTS) but this game is a return to form. It’s massive (11 towers compared to the standard 8). Heaps of unlockables and easily the biggest game in the series. I’ve seen some criticism of the in-game purchases. They’re absolutely optional and not required. I played through and didn’t pay a cent. This is huge game and sure to please fans of the series.

Brilliant!. Have been a big fan of the series and happy to say that this entry still has the same fun and challenging formula. I think the addition of more customisation is a great addition and offers more ways to play. The only criticism is the cost of the hero’s. I hope there are special sale seasons in the future. Please keep the updates and sequels coming, there is no better TD game out there.

great games always. Kingdom Rush always fun and challenging game at the same time. Play all 4, and every game is unique to each other especially the 4th. great job for the game developer

Good but not great. I’m a big fan of Kingdom Rush, having played each in order of release. For me, the peak of the series was Origins which combined awesome visuals with silky smooth gameplay ( although I love the dwarves from frontiers). I really like the new advancement systems in vengeance and think the ability to tailor your starting towers is a really awesome addition. I really miss the progress trees for each tower though, in particular I miss the top-tier upgrades that encourage a mono-build. For example, in frontiers there was an upgrade which allowed all magic towers a stacking damage bonus for every other magic tower on the map. It would be great if in the next game there were similar stacking top-tier upgrades for each tower type ( extra range for archers, extra regeneration for barracks, extra splash area for artillery) because this would encourage multiple play-throughs with each mono-build. All in all, I think vengeance brought in new ideas but those ideas weren’t fully tested, resulting in a game that feels a little undercooked. But please, don’t stop producing Kingdom Rush titles. I love this series and really want to see it grow.

Crashed. Going to have to give 3 stars. I updated and played first new level and then when i finished it, game froze, tried to restart it but the playing screen is frozen after you push start. Please fix. Happened on iphone 7 plus Thank you

Great design. I’ve played all the Kingdom Rush games a lot as a TD they stand out for sure. While Vengeance costs a little extra to unlock additional towers, the ability to equip different towers opens the gameplay up for so many options and strategies. This is the new TD benchmark!!

Keeps getting better and better.. Absolutely great game, ever since the first kingdom rush game I have deep love for this game. Always keeps me engaged and wanting for more and more I get. Great job keep up the awesome work.

Come on guys. I played this game on computer since I was really young and loved then to get the new game on mobile that costs money but you still have to pay for stuff in it like come on there isn’t even a way to unlock them at all other than that gameplays pretty good

Please fix this. Hi ironhide first off all I want to say I love the games but if you keep adding new heroes can people who purchased the all heroes pack before the update please get the new heroes as I purchased the all heroes and all towers pack back before the aquatic update and now I don’t have anything from after that update Thanks-

Loving it!. Absolutely loving this game. Have finished every level on 3 stars, including anurian levels today. Can not wait for future Addons for this game

Pure Fun!. Highly recommended. If you love tactical games with a mix of humor then you will love this little gem.

Ok. Good fun game that continues the story well. Levels are a too long and it’s hard to see the heroes health. To me feels like a downgrade from the previous three but still fun and entertaining

Love the game, hate the micro-transactions. Love the game as I have loved all kingdom rushes and plan on completing this one fully too! However I hate that you have to purchase towers. I have already payed for the full game so don’t make me buy towers, which are core to the game! I understand the purchasing of heroes but won’t be able to get over the towers

KingdomCome. Great job on creating another TD app.. i beg to the developer never create anything like iron marines ever.. make a harder td.. love all of your td creation.. xcept that marine.. deleted the game after 30 min

Amazing Game So Far. Just downloaded this game today and I have had a blast. I have played all of Ironhide’s kingdom rush games and this one is as amazing as the others. The art in this game is stunning (like all their other games) And I love how you select the towers instead of always using the base towers to. 5/5 Definitely get this game if you can.

Another Kingdom Rush beauty !!. I’ve played them all and really enjoying this one as well. There are so many good points to be made about the Kingdom Rush games but what tops the list is the value, hours and hours of enjoyable gameplay for such a small outlay. Yes it has in-app purchases but you do not need to buy anything to get through the game and have a great time in the process with more than enough variety. Just fantastic work again Ironhide !!

The greed ruined it.. I have no idea how the developer put everything behind a paywall. The game is playable without those dlcs, but the developers wants more from their own fanbase by locking all the tiny advantages away from people who literally brought the game. As far as I can tell, the game have less than 20 stages while charging people 40 dollars for the premium version, what a genius.

Fun game. So good to play you can try so many things

Grindy. 1st Kingdom Rush game where I feel like I’m being driven to In-app purchases after paying a premium to get the most out of my play through. Pretty bland levels and finishes also. Had some fun but disappointing.

Long time fan and love it but this is overpriced!. Very impressed yet equally disappointed that I had to pay so much to enjoy the game in full. I’ve completed and loved all kingdom rush games but felt this one over charged for the tower/hero add ons. Not everyone can afford to buy both like I have and don’t think it’s fair that others should have to miss out.

Final boss level bug. This is a pretty good game that I’ve enjoyed but there is a major bug that occurs when veznas summons a demon at the final boss stage. The game just freezes and all progress is lost. If this could be fixed then that would be amazing. Keep up the good stuff iron hide 😁

This is good. Absolutely the greatest game I have ever laid my eyes upon. I would make love to this if it were real, please Ironhide, make this a reality. This game is just so good. I would pay $9 AUD, I’ll have you know, for this masterclass in mobile gaming. You have truly created something special. Kind regards, Vez’nan

The update with king Polyx is what is needed more of!!!. The general campaign was lacking the diversity of new interesting enemies that I was easily able to counter with the general blocker, mage, and splash. With the small update including the new subsection of King Polyx and his aqua army, I was having to adjust my tactics and was having to think of new ways to counter these new enemies that were difficult to defend against, thus creating a more engaging and immersive experience that brought a smile across my face, as I had to refresh on many occasions, and attempt to defend against the onslaught that smashed my defences on previous attempts. Keep it up Ironhide!

Still amazing. No matter how many times I play the Kingdom Rush games prior to this one I still love them. It’s exactly the same with Kingdom Rush Vengeance. I love how they changed the layout of the game and changed the story (POV) and increased the complexity and reward of the game. The graphics have improved once again; the game looks amazing. Vengeance isn’t extremely challenging but some levels push your fortifications to the limits. However, if you need to change the difficulty it is easy to do so. Great for new or continuing Kingdom Rush players. Can’t wait for the sequel!

Amazing sequel again!. Ironhide really knows what people love about their games. Great mix of strategic levels and many ways to beat them. Many achievements and little interactable extras in levels, cheesy lines and just fun overall. Amazing art. Only issues are a slight reduction in crazy enemy abilities/surprising turn arounds in levels(though I’m sure the levels they bring in the future will change that), no enemy stat/ability screen and I kind of miss being able to branch out the fourth level of towers and being able to change my strategy quickly. The enemies do get slightly boring and predictable even when changing areas. Oh look a standard flying/invincible for some time one, a beefy one, one that buffs others, a cannon fodder one etc. but that doesn’t happen too often I suppose, still fun. It’s great that the free heroes are very good and viable on their own even compared to the premium, same with the towers. Do wish you could eventually earn enough gems to buy them, but you never ‘need’ them. Can’t wait to see what ironhide does next! Maybe you’re the invading force against towers in the next game?

Same fun experience, unfortunately ruined by greed. I’ve been a fan of ironhide studios since the very first kingdom rush was released. I quickly preordered this version and was also constantly checking up on the development processes and any major news updates on the release of this game. So much hype built up only to find a very mediocre game with lackluster gameplay. Echoing others’ main concerns, the game has become a major cash grab. Not only do you have to buy the game (which is pretty steep in pricing) but also the heroes and now, for the first time, towers!! The entire mobile experience costs over $40 and the game actually has even less options than its predecessor - no new tower unlock ability after level 4 and now the stars don’t even matter and mean nothing - still, I’ve completed the game with perfect completion on veteran mode but this was a very sad release with not a whole lot - seems like a step in the wrong direction. I hope this company does not become corrupt like many others and instead hopefully puts its customer base and strong gameplay and storytelling at the forefront of its agenda.

1.10.9. Just want to ask when will be 1.10.9 version

Great Game. Kingdom rush games were always great, I loved the first gen and Frontiers the most while the wasn’t a big fan of the Origin. This is much better than the origin version. The developers are, in my opinion, still one of the most ethical in terms of how they price transactions; because you are not blocked behind a paywall like most other games are in the App Store. Keep up the great work!!

Attention Ironhide. Ironhide if you are listening, I’ve already beaten the game and I must say, holy hell you guys know how to make an addictive, fun, and all round incredible game. The graphics, the animation, the sounds are on point with the increasing quality of the kingdom rush series. I’ve been a huge fan of kingdom rush since it originally came out, but this time you’ve gone and made another wonderful game, and I hope that you read this so that I can tell you to keep up the unbelievable work. Good on you.

Great! But oh no.... Yet another 10/10 for gameplay / graphics / entertainment. However their transaction list has now extended to towers. In a tower defence game if you’re going to ask me to buy the towers to play the game with AFTER the initial price tag, nah thanks. What’s next, pay to unlock the next level. Don’t fall to the micro transactions.

Good game, but. Pretty solid tower defense game but it has me questioning, does anyone actually buy the in app purchases? Why not just get rid of the in app purchases for more content for all players and include ad revenue from watching ads for gems. It’d make the game a bit more intriguing for players with more content such as towers and heroes that you can unlock with gems (hence the incentive to play the game more for gems or watching ads for gems).

Opinion. I have played all the previous kingdom rush games and have liked all those games and how you haven’t needed to buy anything from those ones however this is a different story. Although yes you can complete the entire game without buying anything but it does make the game easier. Yes it does make it seem pay to win but not really if you consider how previous games had gems that you could buy and yes this game does have something similar. On a different topic I quite like the story this game creates and how it connects all the different games in a different perspective

Five dollar foot longg. $9.99? Yikes. Maybe $2.99 would be a better price point. Id love to purchase but its just too much

Ideas. Serious I’ve been playing this game a long time so can I get an amen if old fans want to see the reverse of this game!

Loved the first three. It’s still fun, but 4/5 instead of the 5/5 of the first three versions. Somewhat short too. Wish they’d just do more frontier like ones.

Wow just wow. You’d think that If you bought the package deal on all the heroes they’d include the ones for the update since you already payed. Pure garbage, and it took you guys that long for a trash update

Huge cash grab. The other kingdom rush games were great, even iron marines was ok(ish) But holy wow did they ever get greedy with this one! Not much content, and they try to milk you for every penny AFTER already buying the game. It’s so shady. Sorry guys, I won’t spend any money in game on this one, you scoundrels.

Weakest of the bunch.. With even more IAP’s.

Honestly?. The kingdom rush games have been my favorite mobile games for a while. There are many different towers to choose from, and it has a good variety of fun. The problem, though, is that Vengance has put a huge paywall around 5 towers, and not only is this annoying, they cost WAY too much. Furthermore, the towers are probably some of the best. Otherwise, the game is fun. But honestly? I am very upset that ironhide has become one of those “pay to win” games. Rather, i am DISAPPOINTED. I am not using the word lightly. I am genuinely disappointed with Ironhide. One of my favorite game franchises has been reduced to this... pathetic excuse for a tower defense game. Extremely easy, lacks much difficulty, very short, and a huge majority of heroes and towers are locked behind a paywall. Will you guys at Ironhide bring any FREE heroes or towers? If so, i may change my review, but if you keep adding more paid content, the game will get stale. Those updates will be for a certain amount of people, leaving others with nothing. Do not copy paste your excuse “the game is completable without the towers”. Just answer me please.

Great game. Ive played kingdom rush for over a decade, it won’t disappoint you

A very good game with one minor problem. (And a slight rant before the review lol). (Important note, I recommend buying this particular game over the rest of the series on steam for reasons noted below) Firstly, before the review itself. The best way to look at the mobile version of this game, as with the rest of the KR series is a group of highly advanced demos, where you can play every level without having to pay the full price. Looking at the steam version's price helped me clue into this, as they are more expensive there in exchange for not having to pay for the DLC heroes (and for vengeance, towers) separately. I actually agree with how they did this as it makes the games much more accessible to younger audiences while not paywalling the ability to beat the game. With that out of the way now for the actual review. This is a good game. A VERY good game (obviously in my opinion). However, there is one simple problem that this game has that severely hurts it. Its not considered the best in the series by the majority of its playerbase. Yes, that is this games greatest flaw. It slightly changed its gameplay formula in order to try and create an entirely new and revitalized interest, and that has majorly helped the series in the past, during it's different iterations. The problem with Vengeance however, is that it changed too much at once, and for mobile users like myself, they also made more of the games full content (the dlc towers specifically) locked behind paywalls. To someone unfamiliar with Kingdom Rush, in previous games there have only been 4 basic towers, which after being upgraded enough branch off into 2 unique paths per tower, each with its own abilities and usages. Vengeance however, has many different towers that, while they each gain new abilities at their final tier, they lack the distinctive branching paths per tower that enthralled many of the games players. This change was a huge leap, trying to completely shake up the predetermined formula, and people were honestly not the biggest fans of it. I can think of several series that do something of the like, but the one this reminds me of the most is Paper Mario, or more specifically, Super Paper Mario. The initial reaction to the game was terrible, due to fans wanting another smash hit like Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door, but the game completely reworked its formula, causing people to recoil. Nowadays more and more people look at the game with positive viewpoints and i have the feeling that this will also be the case with Vengeance. It is a legitimately fun game, if not a bit tiresome at times due to the VERY durable enemies (please PLEASE Ironhide for the love of Elynie make it so that the reinforcements are good again, you already nerfed them enough by making them only have 100% uptime instead of 200%). I do recommend playing the previous games in the series before this one, as the plot will (somewhat) make sense, as well as letting you see the general evolution of the different mechanics ingame.

Balanced for pay to win. The challenging fun of the previous full iteration has vanished and was replaced win pay-to-win balancing that makes it almost impossible to win battles without making IAPs for power ups. I’ve already paid a premium price for the title... why do I need to pay more to play the game in an enjoyable way?

New Game Breaking Bug Please Fix. I beat the first new level added to the game but the game does not work anymore. After I beat the level, I got sent to the map but I could not move my screen at all and no buttons showed up. I have tried reloading and reinstalling the game but nothing has worked. Please fix this bug as soon as you can so I can continue to play this Kingdom Rush Vengeance.

Very good. Paying isn’t needed, it just helps, and the game is really good 👍

Fun! Recommended!. Super fun! Lots of towers and maps. I am happy that I purchased this game. Highly recommended for tower defense fans!

was good. it’s was good but since the last update I can’t open the game

Game crash. Hi, is it just me or the game crash when i try to open it ? Thanks

$10 CAN for 5stages?. Title says it all.. I’m sorry guys like your games are quality content and by god have I spent hours but I won’t dish up that much cash just for a small expansion to the already existing game I had already payed for in the past. Lol..

No restore purchase option.. No restore purchase option, waste of money.

Compliments of the game. I love this game I hope they come out with a next chapter of the game. And I hope they come out with new characters and new towers

Update. Tank your for update / merci pour la mise à jour tout fonctionne maintenant très bien !

Bug with latest release. After the first new mission, the map is locked and cant select the second mission.

Please Keep Adding More Content. This is an awesome game, but it’s long term success will rely on how much more content you add to it. If you could add a second and then third story line, with as many levels in each as the first, it would go a long way to keeping this game relevant for years to come. In addition, releasing multiple new towers would be a great boon to the game. Perhaps you should also adding greater complexity and customization to the tower mechanic as well. If you could follow upgrade paths, like in Bloons TD, it would make the game much more interesting. The last thing would be to add star completion ratings to each level of difficulty which reward you. If you could track your progress with in each level according to the difficulty rating you have competed, I.e, how many stars you achieved in each, people would have vastly more to achieve in the game.

Restore purchase. Careful if you purchase anything in game as there is no restore purchase button

这次有点失望了. 等了这么长时间还没出无限关,普通关只有15个,而且都没有什么挑战。倒是出了不少花样来赚钱。铁拳这次确实令人失望了。。。

What is up with all these in-game purchases?. Used to be fan. But in game purchase is ridicules with this one. The game feels like a paid demo. If u want to experience the full game. U need to pay another 50 to unlock it. I’ll never spend any money on this company’s games again. Bye

Overpriced for content. I played the main story in about 2.5 hours. After that you can’t unlock any new towers or heroes without paying for them. Pretty disappointing after spending 7 bucks for the game already. It really becomes boring and repetitive once you’ve unlocked everything you can without busting out the wallet. Bloons tower defence 6 is in my opinion a far more honest game if you like tower defence type stuff.

Hard to walk away. Very enjoyable game I recommend upgrading to gain full access to all towers and hero's. Every hero has unique skills and can change the feel of the game completely. The extra towers allow you to creat entirely different combos within your build. The animations and sounds are fun and will make you smile, I recommend this game to anyone who loves tower defence games!

An update!. Finally, more content to the game.

More stages. Add some sand stages, or maybe even release 1 more game??????

Really good. This is my favourite kingdom rush game out of all

Move the pause button. The pause button can be tapped mid game too easily. Please relocate it.

Good game. I love Tower Defenders games and this one is epic

Finished the game in 2 days. Is that it? All levels three starred and challenges completed in 2 days. What a waste of money I rarely pay for a game but when I considered the reputation of the Kingdom Rush series I thought it would be worth it, however, the levels are extremely repetitive, the towers are mostly variants of each other, and there’s not enough to do. Seriously, I’m all done and ready to move on.

Totally a pay to win game. You can only get most of things by paying money

Like it? Try love it!. This is a great game if you enjoy games and gaming type activities. 10/10, keep up the great work, game.

A little disappointed. The kingdom rush games have been my favourite games for some time now and one of the main things I really liked was endless mode. It offered so much replayability and given all the new towers and hero’s in vengeance , I think adding endless mode would make the game so much better

Trash. Games trash.

Nice. Nice

Great.. I love these games. I always get the latest. Hope they keep releasing levels on the map.

We NEED A KINGDOM RUSH 5. We need a kingdom rush 5 please 😊 I love all the kingdom rush game and really really want a new one

Kind of a letdown. Should have given access to all the towers. That’s why people bought the game. The towers you get for buying the game aren’t very good, and other kingdom rushes you end up with 8 tower options at level 4. Maximum 5 here. Finally... no endless mode. Those foibles drop the rating. Would have been perfect if they had addressed these issues. 2 stars instead of the 5 star review I had hoped to give it. The other ones are much better. This is the worst kingdom rush they’ve ever made by far.

No incentive to play higher difficulty. In the older games it shows what difficulty you beat a level on, but it doesn’t on this one so there is no incentive to retry the level on a harder difficulty for a challenge. Please add this feature back, and also an almanac of enemies like what was in the other games

Really fun just can’t restore my in app purchases. I bought the game a while back and wanted to play again only to find out I can’t get back the heroes i bought before.

Solid game. Re read heading

Greedy Money gouge. Everything cool costs money on top of the pricey cost of this game. Not to mention it's entirely different from previous games. Very disappointed and will ask Apple for refund. Too greedy guys.

A New Twist w/ Some Flaws. If you want to read an honest review before planning on purchasing this game, take your time to read this: For starters, KR: Vengeance is the fourth instalment of the KR Series, this time playing as Vez’nan’s general in his quest to conquer all the kingdoms after awoken from his long slumber. There are a good variety of new and unique towers (unlocked while playing) to choose from, each equipped with special abilities and ready to take on the do-gooders. There are also (for the first time in the KR Series), premium towers to choose from as well. There are three heroes (unlocked while playing) to choose from: one melee, and two ranged, each with their own special abilities. The rest of the heroes are premium. PROS: Besides the brand new twist or theme of this game, it’s still KR to the core. The huge roster of towers offer a larger variety of ways to set up a solid defence given enough time and practice. In the previous KR games, you can only equip yourself with four different towers, but now you can have five different towers to use at once. This means you can use two of the same type of tower, despite both of them being different from each other, offering more variety to your strategy. Enemies are also plentiful in variety, each with their own set of strengths and weaknesses. The boss fights were great and unique in their own way, particularly the final boss fight. The landscape, visuals, and effects in the game are nice and interactive, giving a comical vibe. It’s still fun and goofy when playing casual, while providing a decent challenge for strategists. The story illustrated through comics was pretty good and funny at times. Lastly, there are a lot of Easter eggs and references of other games or movies to discover, just like in the previous KR games. Try to find them all! CONS: First and foremost, the price of this game. To be honest and for what it’s worth, it’s not that much of a bargain if you’re paying $6.99 CDN for a game and you still have to pay even more (approximately $60+ CDN) to fully unlock the game (all premium towers and heroes). This too goes for all of the KR games and Iron Marines. Everyone would prefer paying a lower price, given the amount of premium content this game (and the other games) has to offer. That way, the pricing is more fair and it makes the games more tolerable to play. Second, for those who want to practice with their strategy more, Endless mode is not available in this game. It’s one of the features that I really missed while playing this game. I’m forced to play the previous KR games to play Endless mode instead. Hopefully it’ll be added back in an update soon. Third, if you want to read some information about your towers and the enemies or bosses you’ve encountered, the Encyclopedia has seemingly disappeared into the void. I’ve looked everywhere but it’s nowhere to be found. Hopefully it’ll be added back in an update soon as well. Lastly, the start wave button (formerly on the bottom-right corner of the screen when playing KR 1 and 2), is not present (same goes when playing KR 3). I missed being able to instantly start a wave with one tap instead of two. Overall in my opinion, it’s not a bad game if you know how to properly plan your strategy with the towers and heroes (non-premium that is) you have at your disposal, as it’s easy to complete this game without using any IAPs. You only purchase premium content if you desperately want to have an edge, or have a ton of money to spare. Nothing else. For those who are not strategists and are looking for a nice fairly-priced casual game however, you will find this game (and the rest of the KR games, not to mention Iron Marines) a bit difficult to tolerate because of the price for the base game and premium content. With that in mind, it’s a fair argument for you to look for another game similar to this instead, even for dedicated KR fans. But if you really want to play this game, don’t use any IAPs as you don’t need premium towers and heroes to beat the game, and practice or get familiar with your strategy. Do both, and you’ll be fine playing this game. You have Vez’nan’s support on that. Maybe.

KingdomRush vengeance. This game is amazing, the hero’s are amazing and the levels are enjoyable and challenging and fun to make new strategies, I hope more levels get added and a survival

Great game. Better on steam tho

Cool. Cool game

Towers nerfed. Enemies buffed. Pay to succeed. Cash grab.. Long time player. Beat all your games on multiple platforms. Spent extra money on them even. It was earned by making good fair and balanced game. But this trash is stupid. All the the original towers have been nerfed into the ground. All the enemies have been buffed to insane degrees. Special enemies where no problem in later levels. But special enemies every level after 2? I can barely stave off normal units with the Dragon helping. Let alone enemies who can’t be hurt except for two seconds after dashing down the map. Or enemies that just buff on stalling units. Or healers. Or blah blah. This isn’t ok early game. It’s way to difficult and just encourages spending on the ONE TIME USE items in the store. You guys didn’t need this slummy tactic. I don’t mind Bloons TD 3 Dollars for a always double money because it’s always there. One time use items are a stupid cash grab with the massive difficulty spike. I’m sorry I ever supported this company.

Best one yet. First off let’s talk about how you get to be the bad guy and also can chose what towers you want to be able to use in battle. I also am a huge KingdomRush fan I have played all the kingdom rush games my favorite would be origins because the mage upgrades are amazing and the archer upgrades are amazing to if. You ironhide game studios were to read this we need a new one plz or a remake of anyone but with a mode that we crest what happens like how much gold we have how much enemy’s come out against us and so much more. Plus I like all the updates on vengeance ecsept for the polx one that one I don’t like to do. BTW THANK YOU FOR THE AMAZING GAME

Spot on. Played on veteran because I’m a veteran of the series and it felt just right. The sound is amazing and the action from previous games is back. They troll/ surprise you a lot more than in the past, which I enjoy, it keeps you on your toes. You’ll be cruising when something that looked “fishy” on the map changes to throw your plan of attack out of wack. And you either have to adapt or perish. They also added the choice to pick your towers. So it adds a bit of strategy to the maps. Some towers are more suited for certain maps. They did get rid of the endless wave which is a bummer. But all in all it’s still 5 stars in my book. I really enjoyed it. And IAPs are not needed...

Went so fast! Loved it!. Yeah, it probably sounds sad that I completed the game on the second day of release. But it was one of the best tower defense games along with all the other games. This game was a good challenge and gave so much more variety than all the other games. Don’t want to spoil anything but the ending little comic cutscene was AMAZING! Hopefully they add bonus levels after you complete the campaign like the other games. Overall, the game might be a couple dollars but it’s worth it. Keep it up Ironhide! WARNING: SMALL SPOILERS: Also, just remembered, there are so many Easter eggs! Donkey Kong, Terminator, Wall-E, Sméagol, Scrooge McDuck, Moe and Barney from The Simpsons, and Bender from Futurama, and so many know more! This game is amazing!

Continuing the Quality. Like all the previous versions of this title, I love this game! First of all I live that I can pay a little more for the entire game and not have to micro transaction my way through the content - thank you, thank you Ironside for using this pay to play model! Second, the structure and game play mechanisms are easy, but scalable, repeatable, and variable for hours of challenging entertainment (I sound like a commercial, I know, but this is what a game is SUPPOSED to be)! Art and animations are great; storyline is fun and relates to the previous versions; and all the achievements and side references to pop geek culture are icing on an awesome cake! Yes, every sentence in this review ends with an exclamation point...but that’s because I want to shout how great this game is!

Would have given 5 stars but. I have been playing every Iron-fist game since the beginning with the first Kingdom Rush. Always loved them. Was very excited to see this reverse roll with the bad guys, loved that you added all the different towers, spent money and bought all of them. Spent money and bought all heros. Only giving 4 stars for one reason this one is way to short and not epic like all the others. I finished this in two days where the other Kingdom Rush and Iron Marines it took over 2 weeks to finish. Just didn’t feel like I got my money’s worth out of this one, left me feeling flat. Would still recommend to anyone playing Kingdom Rush games but for a newbie probably wouldn’t recommend this one because it is to short.

Love it buttt. Ive played the other games religiously and loved each one but I think I’d still have to pick frontiers and origins over this one Positives - animation and sounds are amazing as usual - nice switch up to play as the bad guys - the levels are a bit challenging, which I liked because I’d have to retry a couple times - I really liked the upgrades with the soul stones in this game, they were very useful Negatives - I felt like the towers were lacking and not as fun as previous ones. Some were boring and the special abilities were boring, which the other games never had a problem with. - I felt like there wasn’t a big variety of enemies in this game, and there was no encyclopedia to show them :( - I think you should’ve gotten more tower slots because in the previous game, you were able to get 8 different towers with all the upgrades. - I didn’t think it was a terrible idea to pay for towers, but at least make them cooler and a bit stronger. - it should be longer, but I’m guessing an update will come soon with more levels and heroes Maybe I’m a bit bias and love playing as the good guys. Regardless, I love these games so much.

NEVER DELETE THE GAME. I loved this game to death, but the time came where i had to delete it, and so i did hoping that my apple ID would atleast keep the saved files, i was wrong horribly wrong. I spent some money on this game and its all gone, i bought the 2020 Halloween bundle expecting it to comeback via a restore purchase bundle, and yet there was none, i was confused and now i feel dumb, i lost it forever, i am greatly disappointed as unlike the others this one has no restore purchases. How? Why? Im honestly feeling regret for deleting this, if i knew this would happen I would’ve never deleted it :(

Great game. I’ve played all the kingdom rushes and beaten them all, the towers are really cool and so are the heroes, the one problem I have with the game is that the heroes and towers you can buy are a little bit too expensive I could definitely see myself buying them if the cost was cheaper, the people complaining about the iap must not realize that there are still more towers free in this game then the last kingdom rushes and that’s without buying any towers, just wish they were cheaper, one big problem (might not be for everyone) but there is no restore purchase so the extra tower and hero I bought I can’t use them on my iPad which is very annoying and I’m not going to spend more money to rebuy them again

It's great but the micro-transactions are getting ridiculous. Kingdom Rush: Vengeance is a fantastic addition to the series and brings a lot of fresh ideas to the kingdom Rush formula. The visual quality of KR: Vengeance is especially improved; the game looks great. However, the game was somewhat lacking in content at launch, and still is now to a certain degree. Additionally, this game has less free heroes than previous entries, with most heroes being premium and more expensive than previous games. If that wasn't enough, Ironhide has begun locking towers behind a paywall as well. Almost 1/3 of the towers available in the game must be purchased; some of which will cost up to $7. All of this in a PAID game! Since release Ironhide has pumped out even more premium heroes and towers and relatively few new levels and other free content. It's really disappointing to see such a great franchise become so money hungry.

Add old features. I’m the kingdom rush original version when you upgrade a tower three times there’s a choice between two different paths of towers for example the archer tower turned into the duo of rifle men on a tower or more nature esc archer tower the two would have totally different useful and unique attacks in this game however there’s only one way to upgrade. Instead of one barracks tower in kingdom rush and two ways to upgrade them to customize how you wanna go there’s 4 different barracks with almost the same abilities. All I wanna say is if iron hide make the towers similar to the old kingdom rush it would be much more successful

A step forward and a step back. Ive loved every single kingdom rush. Owned them and iron marines on multiple platforms. Spent money on their in game purchases too. However with this game i will be breaking that trend. The new tower system is interesting i enjoy it. Of course I believe micro transactions costing more than the game is stupid. But my issue resides in the mechanics of the game itself. The barracks ai is absolutely unbelievably atrocious. In past games they werent brilliant but passable. In this game its truly broken. They will stand there and be attacked by new ranged enemies that have far too much range. The barrack troops are worthless in this game. They will standby while enemies are standing RIGHT next to them and get themselves killed. I should not have to micro manage them that much. In past games this was an issue but nowhere near this bad. Ive never delated one of ironhides games without finishing it but this i have.

Standing ovation yet again.. If I were to judge a game by its ability to consistently impress me, provide a substantial challenge, and mix up the variety in unexpected ways, then this might just be the best game franchise of all time for me (really, I can’t even say the same for the Legend of Zelda). They seriously never stop getting better and I already cannot wait for the next one. The ONLY gripe I can say about it is that as an aspiring voice actor, I do not understand why some of the voices are intentionally annoying. It’s usually kind of charming at first, but they only evolve to be just that: annoying. Still only a minor hindrance on an otherwise legendary game series, keep ‘em coming, guys.

A couple of ideas. Amazing game to start, love the series. I’ve been playing it since I was little. We’ve seen so many different spider enemies in the past so why not add a tower and a hero. Make a “spider cave” barracks that spawns spiders and then at level 4 you can upgrade them to the larger spiders, give them poison damage, then on death they can spawn baby spiders, like in the older games, then a hero like a spider king or something. And for the dlc missions you can add an elf king or queen as a final boss. Like I said, amazing game and just throwing out some ideas I would ABSOLUTELY buy and I feel like others as well.

They’ve done it again!!!. Awesome game. You guys never fail to surprise me. Only thing is Mortemis is pretty weak all around and his range attacks do not do much as they should because he is a ranged magic HERO and not some sidelined soldier. I don’t care about his melee but his magic ranged should definitely be bumped up some because I constantly win battles with every other hero but I always lose with him even when I’m trying my best. He’s just the weakest and no Hero character should be weak, they should be the saving grace that mediates the battle field. Even if you could make him move faster or teleport and leave 1 zombie behind in that area for a short while that would really help.

Great Game. This and all the other Kingdom Rush games are probably some of the best games on mobile. I love how you can play around with your towers now so you don’t have to use the same four for every game. The only reason why I rated it 4 stars is because, like all the other Kingdom Rush games (and Iron Marines), you have to pay to unlock a lot of the heroes (and towers). I don’t really expect to pay for stuff in a game I already paid to get (except the original Kingdom Rush which is free now). It would be nice if you could buy them with gems or unlock them somehow. There’s only three free heroes in this game. I understand it’s how they make money, but the game isn’t free anyway so just installing it should give you full access to the stuff in-game. Also, please bring back the encyclopedia.

Great game, egregious business model. I can give this review confidently having bought all of the towers and heros they will let me. This game is fantastic, and as someone who has been in love with this series sense the first one was released on armor games i feel like this is another home run in terms of game design. The levels feel good and challenging, and im looking forward to playing through on impossible after beating it on veteran this week. My big complaint is the money. This game costs five dollars to download, but has in game non essential but also non cosmetic gameplay affecting purchases that you can make, thus the full game is not in my opinion five dollars, but (and this is with the sale for new downloaders) thirty five dollars. For a mobile game this is not normal and is really pushing it. I would not be mad if, like some of the free heros and towers, the bonus content was unlockable via in game action. Tldr: the in game purchases are relevant even tho they are not essential, which is a turn off, as is the price tag if you buy all the purchasable content ontop of the app itself. The gameplay is however worth the five dollar download cost.

Amazing. Exceeds my expectations. I have deleted every critical review I had about this game. I’ve played since the first Kingdom Rush came out. It’s just so much fun, and I’ll get by the fact there’s towers you have to buy (which I bought along with the heroes of course) but I do have one request: What happened to the encyclopedia saying what the enemies did, and stuff like that? That’s my only thing I would like. Thanks for taking the time to read this! Oh, also to mention, the expendable troops that come with the bought hero, the doom tank, can eventually be upgraded to “riflemen”. I noticed that they make no noise when they shoot, and that slightly irritates me because I like the noise they should make >:(. Other than that I found no flaws.

Keep making more Kingdom Rush games!!. Since the first Kingdom Rush game came out i’ve been hooked. Every game that came out after that was just as impressive as much it was entertaining. The level design flows well and the animations are funny and creative. The towers you can create in this game all introduce a new way you can approach a level. The only thing i wish you could do was zoom in more!!! Since the first game came out i’ve always wanted to zoom in even closer to see the cool animations that my hero does more and the detail on the different towers. Overall I love the Kingdom Rush games and I want them to never stop.

Great Customer Support. Hello to all who read this, I had bought the game around December, and had also purchased the Hero and Tower bundles as I thought they would spice up the game, and they did. After about a month of playing, someone had deleted the game off my phone, but after I re-downloaded the game, all my In-App purchases were gone. So I contacted the support team, and within a few days they had reached out to me, and after a few emails back and forth, they were able to help me get back the bundles and I did not have to spend another $25. So thank you IronHide support team, You are the real MVP(s), Jacob.

20/10🙌🏽. When I tell you I’ve replayed the old games and was like these guys have some and just do so well with it. Then you get to this and it just blows the old games out of the water. Custom towers. More than just your standard 4. Gives you so much replay that you will be here wanting to see each towers upgrade and power. Then there are the multiple powers that you can use as well (bottom left) it just game me the idea for your guys next game. You should make it to where you can combine towers to create new type. Sniper mages, Warrior mages, warrior archer, etc. but I absolutely love this game and only touch the first 3 stages. Keep up the great work and content. See you guys in the next addition.

Super fun!. This game really brings all the kingdom rush charm and fun! The towers are all really versatile and if used right can be very lethal. One draw back I found was that some of the towers are stuck behind a pay wall but you dont really need to buy the towers to beat the game and have fun. However I did purchase the towers and they are very fun to use so if you have some extra cash they are definitely worth it! The heros play well and are fun to use and you can defined get buy with the base heros. As for future updates? Please bring back the endless levels! Having an endless mode for each region in the game would make this game so much better! All in all, this game is super fun and worth the money

Worst of the series. This entry is the worst of the 4 games in the series. Not only does it just always give you the same number of upgrade points for a mission regardless of how well you do and no more for beating it with the special rules, but they ruined the towers. The game has unique towers that you can swap out with other one. In theory this sounds great, there are more towers than before and you can choose which ones to use. In practice they only did this to sell more towers as IAP. You can only choose like 5 to be able to build at once, instead of the 8 possible in past games, but half the strategy of past games was choosing late how to specialize your tower. Now it’s pre decided because they don’t have branching upgrade paths. All in all it feels like it took a winning formula, added nothing new, and dumbed it down until it feels like a waste of time.

A step backwards. I got excited when I saw this game in the App Store, as I played the original kingdom rush through multiple times and loved it. Sadly, even after paying the $4.99 to buy this game I find out that most of the advertised new heroes and towers require additional purchases. What’s worse is that the towers and heroes are less interesting than before, with less options for customization leaving me with a game only reminiscent of the original game I loved. After playing through three levels I already found the game the be monotonous, as if I was playing the same levels over and over. I would enjoy the game more if there was more effort put into the towers and leveling but sadly this game is just a cheap knock off of the original, made only to extort more money.

Excellent game; excellent company. I inadvertently played Kingdom Rush I when it came out, and have been addicted to the series since then. With each edition’s distinct features and updates that follow a yet cleverly designed, surprisingly consistent model of game style, this game is, in my humble opinion, the best tower defense game on iPhone and one of the best ever existed. What even adds to the amazingness of this game is the company’s adherence to the old school profit model- the player pays upfront fees, and while there are some in-app purchase options, paying the upfront fee gives you most of the game content and great game experience, even if you choose not to buy the in-app purchase options. Applause to Ironhide. I truly hope to continue playing your game in many years to come.

Perfectly enjoyable. But not to the standard.. If this was a game in a vacuum I would probably rate it a star higher. But it’s not. Rather in a lineage that imo is the best tower defense series ever put to mobile. So it’s fun in that sense and worth the buy. But it breaks no new ground, and the level maps are often very similar such that you can basically run with the same set-up again and again. The towers don’t really build a good synergy with one another. Though I say this as one who refused to buy the purchasable ones. As a particular pet peeve, the area effect towers stink, and don’t have particularly useful upgrades, which makes the cost of establishing them too much. Ended up just not using them. In short, spend the money, have some fun, but don’t expect this to introduce much that you haven’t already done before.

Exciting and clever tower defense game!. If you like tower defense games this is the one for you. The developers that create these make the games better and more creative with each iteration. The graphics are a wonder to look at, the pop culture references are a hoot, and there is a good balance between free content and paid. Even though the game can be completed relatively quickly by an experienced gamer there is enough content to allow users to switch to different characters and towers in order to try different play styles and strategies. The achievements encourage players to reach a variety of goals and to look for cleverly hidden Easter eggs. Fantastic job, Ironhide Studios! More, please! :^)

Fun but flawed. Provides the same kind of gameplay and fun we enjoyed with the first three installments, so if you liked those you'll enjoy this one. I have two complaints, so I subtracted one star for each. First, veteran mode is waaaay too easy. I flew through the game in two or three sittings getting three stars on each level. One of the things I enjoyed most about the other games was getting stuck and trying to find the winning strategy. I think the creators were busy finding other ways to squeeze in paid content (which is my second complaint) and forgot to polish the actual components of the game itself. There are tons of extra towers you can use if you want to throw the creators some more money (because paying for and outright owning a game is just history now apparently).

Great gameplay but with the downside of in-app purchases. I’ve played for about 2 hours now and I can say that this is (in my opinion) the greatest and most intuitive Kingdom Rush game yet. The levels and the map are absolutely GORGEOUS (playing on an IPad Air 2) and the attacks from the towers & enemies are so polished. My only complaint (right now) with the game is that 5 of the 11 towers cost money to play with, and 6 of the 9 heroes too. I know it’s too late, but I don’t like the new change of having towers cost money. I also know that we’ve never gotten more than 4 towers before, but, I still don’t like this move in a $5 game. Overall, good job Ironhide. Expecting, to see Kingdom Rush 5 in the next 3 years (maybe cover dwarves?).

Great gameplay and graphics. Pros •GREAT gameplay •GREAT new mechanics to play around with •Everything works together, nothing is too OP or doesn’t make sense in the game •Amazing cartoon style graphics. •many hidden Easter eggs here and there that are a joy to find Cons •You play as the bad guys in this game, and I feel they did a bad job at making you FEEL like the bad guys. In the beginning it’s goofy and Vez’nan is supposed to be funny, but I feel it takes away from the point that you are EVIL in this game. In that aspect it feels like your just fighting random enemies and not eradicating humans to exact your vengeance. •Many Heroes seem copy and pasted from earlier games just with new skins. Like Alrich and mirage for your first and second heroes this time it’s a orc who might as well be the same hero as alrich and a sneaky assassin with a bow and a knife that jumps from place to place, sound familiar? Also there’s a new dragon. •it takes a bit of gameplay to really pick up but I would barely consider this a con. Overall you should play it. It’s fun and a great new edition to the franchise but I feel like it could have been just a little bit better. It is really fun to play it now.

Good Game, Couple Bugs. Love the game so far, the gameplay and art is great as usual. I, however, spotted a couple bugs with the game so far. Firstly, in the first level in the North, when you tap on the horn hut, the little person runs out and yells some stuff at you, but if you tap it again, the sound of the person yelling plays but there is no animation. Secondly, when you upgrade your orc warriors to level 4 and then buy the upgrade that increases their attack, right when you buy the upgrade, their attack in the tower stats will change, but if you tap on the tower again, the attack says what it was before the upgrade. Hope someone reads this so that these can be fixed.

Greedy. Mostly here because of the hilariously bad “update”. A measly three new maps along with a new tower and a new hero. Would be all good if the new tower wasn’t 3$ and the hero another 5$. Their new junk world game highlights this company’s downfall and this update further shows that their only motivation is putting money in their wallets. All their games are being designed around more and more micro transactions. These guys are just a less successful blizzard, EA, Ubisoft..etc. The cherry on top is that the maps themselves are bugged and you can’t even get past the first one, lol. I’m done with ironhide games. The reviews for Junkworld speak volumes.

Amazing Game, Fun Suggestion. I love this game so much, and it’s been the best out of all the games so far. I really enjoy it, and I have no problems with it at all. I was thinking the other day, about a little twist you could put in the game. I thought it would be a little more fitting with the plot as the player being the bad guys raiding the good guys. I thought about the player being the one sending the troops and trying to get past the defenses. It could be fun, and add a little twist to the gameplay. You could add it as a mini game, or even as a game mode that you could switch to in the settings. Just a fun suggestion. Developers, I hope you read and consider this, because it could be very fun. But overall, this is an amazing game and keep it up!

Greedy. I have all of the kingdom rush games and have been a long time fan of the series. They’ve gotten increasingly greedy with more and more content requiring IAP with RL$$s. Unfortunately this iteration is the first to feature purchasable TOWERS, not just heroes. The $5 cost of the game is a lie and to even access all of the towers you have to drop another $11. KR is a great franchise but NOT a $16 game. Purchasable heroes with totally optional powers maybe but towers that change how the game is played completely ruins the “hard but not impossible without IAP” difficulty level of the prior games and makes this just another TD game (with the same mechanics as every other TD) asking for your paycheck. If they make the towers free and heroes freemium it’s a $5 game that I’m happy to have purchased. Otherwise, it’s a greedy freemium game without the decency to start of free and my last iron hide purchase.

Gotta pay for towers now?. So I’m a big fan of this series and have purchased all the other entries. I’ve never liked how it costs so much for all the heros, I really don’t get how some hero’s cost more then the game itself, and now I really have to pay extra to get all the towers in this entry!? It’s just getting kinda ridiculous now with that on top of all the gems you can pay for. I would happily pay more than the asking $5 price to get all the content in the game up front, but right now it just seems like $5 is a bit much for this game. That being said I am still a fan of the series and I’m excited to get further into this entry but I’m bummed I’m gonna miss out on some hero’s and towers just cause I don’t feel like paying an extra $50.

Improvements ruined by microtransactions. I enjoyed the customization of being able to choose from a variety of turrets. It was also nice to see all the “new” enemies and “new” turrets. Being the fourth installment in the series has hurt the gameplay a bit. It feel exactly like the previous 3. Most of the towers and their abilities were just Ctrl C + Ctrl P. I can’t judge most of the heros since they cost much more than the game itself. I also refuse to purchase the towers that are locked behind real world currency. I understand the point of the company is to earn a profit, but why have a $6 app with +$50 of in app purchases. I don’t feel like there is enough replay ability to warrant spending $50. My synopsis, if the game itself is on sale it is a must have to kill some time. Be cautious before blowing a nice dinner for a dragon and some turrets.

when would it sale on the steam.. I am an absolute fan of iron hide. I played your game at least 10 years. I played the whole series three time straight. It is a great part of my childhood and a place for me now to relive the happiness of the childhood. I really wish to experience vengeance on bigger screen with better quality on my computer as well. Also, I wish we can have a longer level where we can fully maxed out every tower on the maps, or the level wouldn’t ended even we defeated the final boss. Just an opinion, thank you iron-hide for producing such a great series.

Ugh. I really enjoyed the previous Kingdom Rush games, but this (along with Iron Marines) is not for me. 1. The voices are annoying, repetitive and not entertaining. Is a skeleton screeching, “Got milk?” funny to you? If so, you’ll love it. 2. The towers lack any sort of “oomph’ when they connect. None of the attacks feel like they do much damage and make the game feel more like a grind than a powerful (or even interesting) battle. 3. It’s just not fun. I played through 36 stars when it was first released and deleted it. Today I saw that there was an update so I redownloaded and tried again. I turned off the sound affects after a couple of minutes (going back to point 1) and deleted the game after completing the first level of the new area. Also, Apple Pencil support is flaky, inconsistently responding to taps. I did enjoy their recent Apple Arcade contribution a bit more, but I’m unlikely to buy another Kingdom Rush game. The only thing I would buy (and which Ironhide will never release because it wouldn’t maximize micro transactions enough) would be a remaster of Kingdom Rush and Kingdom Rush Origins. Just update the graphics, make it available on all Apple Silicon devices and sell it fully unlocked for $50.

This game is awesome!. Ive played every single rush game and I just love the series. The easter eggs, the towers, the heroes, everything about this game is perfection. I really hope we get another rush game in the future, I feel the only part where vengeance fell short was not making the evil overlord a hero for players to use. All heroes in the game are awesome but I really wanted to play the overlord at least after finishing the campaign. Still this game is a must buy, animations are solid, everything is responsive and Ive not had any bugs which is a really good thing even for a phone game. If you have not played any rush game, You are missing out on a series of the best phone games out there! 10/10 for me

Worth it. I would pay 5 dollars for few mobile games. But as soon as I saw that this was coming out, I knew I would get it on the first day. This series has been a part of my childhood for years and I believe it should be a part of everyone’s life because Ironhide has really done something nobody else has. In my opinion, each game has gotten better and better and after only maybe an hour of playing Vengeance, I’m blown away. If you’re on the edge about getting this game, throw your worries aside and get it. The amount of new features, fantastic art, and the fact that you get to play as the bad guy, which is in no other Kingdom Rush game, is absurd and has worked perfectly in Ironhide’s favor. Definitely recommend this game!!!

Great but annoying. I really love the whole series by far one of the best series of tower defense games in the whole genre. But it seems like there’s too much micro transactions for a game that you buy right off the bat. Plus there’s no help from the support team if there’s any problems. I bought all of the content when they were on sale and I got a new phone but all of my content and progress was deleted. The progress not too worried about but I could never get my purchased content back at all and tried to send multiple emails explaining my problem but never got any responses or help. Definitely feel like this game is great but there’s just some things missing that the old ones had that would be nice in this one too.

Good but below the bar they set for themselves. Everything about Vengeance is just good enough. Not excellent, not great, just good enough. All the things you come to expect from Kingdom Rush are there but mostly undercooked. Ideas are short, stages are a little less creative, it's like they released version 0.8 My biggest complaint would be the lack of challenge. I don't mind if they want to make it easy for new players but you have a difficulty called "impossible", locked for only when you've completed the game. Yet this difficulty is easily passable often on your first try. That was their time to get some longevity out of the game but overall it feels like nobody play tested this very much. The challenge is not there so any sense of engagement is gone, it just starts to feel like a mindless grind. Looking forward to some updates that fix this, but as of right now the game feels finished but not polished. Message to the developers, if you're going to call it impossible, go all out. Make it challenging. As it is some stages feel finished and others feel like filler. Overall, disappointing but only because you've set the standard so high on the other games.

Good game, but large curve if you have the money to spend. I loved Kingdom Rush - I used to play the flash games before they were apps and always looked out for a new game from Ironhide. This one is disappointing because even though the team says the game is designed to be beaten without any add-ons, it’s very difficult EVEN ON CASUAL MODE to beat the extra levels at the end. There’s lots of extra content like heroes and towers that you need to pay (quite a lot!) for and having already paid $5 for the game they should be lower priced or AT LEAST a package for all towers or all heroes for like, $10. And just having an option to pay $50 for a bunch of gems is ridiculous to me. The team has turned kinda greedy. Please make some changes to my favorite tower defense game creators!!

Worth 5, hers why. We all hate ads right? I would much rather pay $5 and maybe if I want to, a couple in app purchases to make the game better, and also support the people who made the game! The fact that there are no ads and people are complaining about in app purchases is kinda annoying. Playing as the enemy and seeing it from the enemy's perspective from the original game is pretty creative. The game is challenging and keeps you hooked, not in an hour's at a time hooked but play a couple levels here, do something else and then continue playing. It is definitely a learning game that is very much worth the time you put in! I very much enjoy this game and haven't put this much time in a game since I was younger!

Slowly going over to the Darkside.. I own all of their games I may have purchased some of them of them twice. I bought this and didn’t like it and have returned to it to try to get in now that I replaying all of them. I kind of feel like this is where they’re jumping the shark and following the herd by making it ra pay to win game. I see in the comments that they keep saying that it’s made to be able to win without paying additional money which can be substantial if you look at the price of everything. But I don’t believe this to be the case at least not to the point where it’s any fun. Stick with the other games and hopefully if they make another one they’ll go back to the old ways. Or if they don’t, it’s a great opportunity for someone to come and take their cheese.

Thank You. .....for creating such an epic game! I remembered the first kingdom rush back in 2011 and I truly admire how you guys have kept your brand integrity. Even in the midst of all the pay to play schemes and loot box gaming, you still find ways to make the game play extremely entertaining and fun! I gladly spent 25 bucks to unlock all towers and heroes because you guys truly deserve it. I am 31 years old now and don't play much games but this is truly amazing. I strive to unlock every achievement and truly enjoy the small little games like whack a mole. Graphics are so detailed and just beautiful. Thank you guys so much for not losing out to the industry but instead kept the standards high on what it means to have an awesome gaming experience!

Good game! Just a few things tho. I love this series and have played all these games. They’re a lot like Pokémon games in one way, that each one is really just a new coat of paint over the original game (and usually a few new features) this game didn’t change too much, but it did change more than the previous games. The new tower system is pretty cool, allowing more diverse towers, but at the end of the day it just really just gives you less strategic options... also just another way for them to throw in app purchases at us. Especially since most of the hero’s and towers you can buy cost as much as the game Itself! All in all tho i did enjoy this game!

Macrotransactions Galore. For a game I paid $5 for, I feel like there should not have been more than one or two additional purchases in the game for additional dlc or something along those lines. Not only do I get a game where there is an additional currency you can buy to use on one-time-use magic cards, but MORE THAN HALF of the heros and towers are locked behind paywalls. These are the strongest heros and towers in the game, and you literally have to PAY money to get them. No way to earn them with gameplay. Do you want a $5 game where you have to pay an additional $30 to get all the paywalled towers and heros? If yes, this is the game for you. If not, don’t waste your money on this pay-to-win macrotransaction-riddled game. I’ll be requesting my money back, and I hope this review helped you avoid wasting any money on this horrendous cash grab some people call a “game”.

Depressing. I love(d) kingdom rush. I have played every game in this series and each game just gets worse and worse with the pay to win bs and unlockables. This one is just the nail in the coffin for me. To unlock everything (towers and heroes) you would need to spend around $60! For a mobile game?? That’s insane. I seriously regret the money I spent on the one Hero I bought, but at the time I bought him I still loved this franchise and wanted to support the developers but now I wish I looked past my nostalgia. Don’t waste your time or money. It’s not worth it. I really wish I could just pay for the game out right and have everything at the start, but of course you can’t because all mobile games care about are hooking those whales and to hell with everyone else that would actually enjoy the game. Goodbye Kingdom Rush. I’m going to miss you. I hope enjoy your new life as a whaling company.

I wish it could be a five. So let me start off with this is a great game with a unique art style and a fun tower defense aspect There is just one thing and that is the prices so you pay for the game and then you would think that would be it but it makes you pay for more than half the towers and the heroes so if you were to buy all of them this game would add up to like 50 dollars for a mobile game and to me that is not worth it there are many other games that are tower defense that you could get for way cheaper rather than buying this and then spending more money for things like towers overall a good game but I don’t like how I have to pay for the towers and heroes even though I bought the game for money
