Wow, stimulating and fun.. Amazing graphics. I am in my 50’s and hate killing game and prefer to be stimulated with beautiful scenes and this Is the game. First time in years I have loved a game right off the bat and been so intrigued. Every now and then I like to play a game to take my mind off every day stress but it is so hard to find one like this. Prior to this I loved Swordigo and Zelda and not much after that but this is a winner. The developer did wonderful in his work, and in the art of storytelling. I hope he continues to make more games. You will love this!

Amazingly amazing. Thank you so much for making this epic game. There is so much character in Oddmar himself, the enemy’s movements, and the constant feel of on the edge of your seat fear of the traps getting the better of you. I am ten years old and am starting to find ways in the game in which you could improve. It’s a great game nonetheless. The story ended quite suddenly and I was surprised! But it would be much appreciated if there was more to it. (Please let me know if there is anymore to this incredible conundrum.) the the movements of Oddmar are extraordinarily detailed. But maybe a little slow? There isn’t much wrong with it so I am glad I put that out there so please answer this review Thanks for hours of fun, Ciaran Jon Patrick Phillips.

One of the most fun and well designed games I have played on the iPad. I played Oddmar with a steelseries controller on a 12.9 inch iPad Pro 2018 and I must say this game is really well designed and played through flawlessly. Graphics are A+ and difficult is a little hard, but no so bad that a few runs through you can’t pass anything. The challenges and the story line also add a lot to the game. Well done! Can’t wait to play the sequel :-)

UGH!!!!. The game is beautiful and I love the art style, so I’ll give it 3 stars for that. Its two stars short of perfect because it is so dang hard to control!! I’ve tried using the touch controls and a remote controller and it’s still difficult! Oddmar doesn’t move quickly, he doesn’t jump far, and the life bar is unforgiving. You get two hearts - that’s two bumps from an enemy and you’re back to the last checkpoint. This is infuriating and I’m deleting the game. It looks like a lot of effort and love went into this game, which I can appreciate, but I can’t continue to play a game that pisses me off within 10 minutes.

Done Right!. Oddmar is beautifully drawn game with a fun storyline and even more enjoyable gameplay. The levels aren’t too hard, but they can get challenging when you are trying to conplete the time trials. If you are looking for a fun platformer then get this game. I really wish other dev creates like this. Pay for the game and enjoy a well developed game instead off P2P. Oddmar is a little short and i am not just talking about the viking, but it is totally worth the play and i’d bet these developers are already working on more to give us (maybe a sequel)???

Well designed game; substandard controls. This is one of the best action games I’ve played on iOS. The problem is the touch controls; they’re awkward and simply not responsive or precise enough. When my character dies, I want him to die because of a mistake I made, not because my right swipe registered as a virtual home button press and the app suddenly closes. Also, there are certain sections where the action takes place on the bottom left of the screen, and the view is obstructed by my thumb which is obviously required in that spot to control the character.

Finally a game that has a start and ending.. I love the design and art of this game. Very well executed and the game play is easy and responsive. I love the fact you don’t have to pay to keep getting more stuff etc. I haven’t finished the game yet, but am thoroughly enjoying the adventure. I wish more games were like this. Buy it once and get all you need. Just like a classic video game from back in the day!

Wonderful early on. Fun art and story. The gameplay has been smooth and quirky. This is the first game I decided to try on iPadOS 13 with an XBox One S Bluetooth controller. It has been a very enjoyable experience on my 12.9 iPad Pro. I have only cleared 3 levels so far though. I am glad I waited for the controller compatibility as platformers on touchscreens always feel compromised to me. I definitely see myself replaying levels to get all that I can get out of them.

Just what I needed.. Especially right now, with this gosh dern Budweiser virus we all could use a way to relax, unwind, veg out.... what have you.. This game is that. I can’t speak to not having a wireless controller, but I use my Xbox one controller and it handles AMAZINGLY. The game is done very well and for 4.99 it is worth double that. I’m a character designer and I have to say The art is spectacular and creatures and movement are pixelated perfection . If you know the REAL story of Vikings, then the mushroom parts make PERFECT sense. I’m awestruck at how great it is, really. Think capcoms strider to a point. I wish I had the mental capacity to explain further, I’ll just say this... I DONT spend money on games. If the screen shots and other reviews don’t convince you, I don’t know what to say. It’s fun, cute, gnarly, dope, fresh, hella hella, fire y’all.

Great game but.... This game has a great story, great graphics and is essentially a Rayman clone for mobile (which is a good thing). The only area that needs some tweaking is the controls with the warthog. Sometimes it doesn’t register the taps, or swipes up effectively and can make the time challenges even more difficult. Definitely worth a purchase. Support developers so we can continue to get quality mobile experiences.

Fantastic, console quality title. Really though. As a pretty big gamer of consoles and PC, I don’t think I’ve ever played a game that made touch controls feel so intuitive. The visuals are beautiful and the game is really fun to play. I’d happily pay $5 for anything this good, in fact I think it’s a bargain. If you like jumping and platforming games, you really can’t go wrong here — serious props to the developers. Aside from Alto’s Odyssey, this is definitely the best iOS game released this year!

A premium gem. This is Rayman on mobile, for 5 dollars, with as good (possibly better) graphics. This is not hyperbole. The best platformer I have ever played on mobile. And I have, quite literally, played thousands of mobile games. To be honest, I always thought 60 dollars was a bit much for the recent rayman games, a bit too steep of a price tag for an oldschool platformer. But 5 dollars feels like robbery (on the part of the buyer). I can’t imagine any dev would set out to make such a high quality premium game for mobile, with so low of a price point. Perhaps they intended it for console, but couldn’t find a publisher? Whatever the reason, the consumer is the winner. Amazing 60fps animation, and as mentioned before, the obvious comparison is Rayman. I really think it actually looks a little bit better. The one downside is it doesn’t run on ios 10, so I had to pull out the one device I’d actually upgraded. Ios 11 is garbage for premium gamers, as the app store is worse in a zillion ways, and you’re throwing away half your library as soon as you upgrade. But I digress. Buy this game. Support premium gaming on ios.

Could have been so good. I love the game, and for the most part it nails the platform design, story and graphics. I might have given four or possibly five stars if not for the controls. The character stops moving In the middle of the level, leading to unfair deaths. Whether it’s a bug or not, it kills every ounce of fun in this game. The onscreen controls that are visible are to small and close together. The sliding touch controls are terrible and not worth using for a second. Maybe if they patched the random stopping and enlarged the controls I would rate it higher.

Worth every penny. Amazing controls!. Graphics are amazing and the game is great fun but what was most surprising was how well the touch control works. I usually don’t like to play platformers that require you to use a virtual controller. I thought games like Mario Run where the characters run automatically was as good as it’ll get for touchscreens but this game makes me rethink that and I’m sure more developers will copy this control scheme going forward. At $5 this is a bargain. As I’ve read in a prior review, if this came out for the switch I would have happily paid $15-$20.

Have to download each level??. So far I have wasted $5 by purchasing this game. I have only been able to play the first level because I don’t have the time to sit and wait for the next level to download. When I spend more than $0.99 on a game/app I’m guilty of expecting the experience to include one download and install. I’m only upset because what little I did get to play seemed to have potential.

Sorry, not worth five dollars. Now I’m not a hater or a critic, but five bucks is a bit too much for this game. If the game was cheaper, maybe it would be worth four stars. The weapons are unremarkable. There really is no gameplay difference from one to another. I don’t feel rewarded buying new ones. They really could have made the weapons a lot more fun and different. Over all, the gameplay doesn’t change much. There really isn’t any progression from level one to the last level. I don’t feel like I’m going anywhere. Same level every time. The story is nothing. Really nothing. Skip. Why am I collecting the three coins per level? There is no reward or bonus for getting them. It’s a meaningless milestone, worse than an “achievement”. Don’t get me wrong, the game isn’t terrible. It was good enough for a days fun. But five dollars? I really felt they could have done a much better job.

Will not download next level.. Don’t get me wrong. This app deserves a 5* rating; it’s an awesome game. However, I cannot rate the game above a 1* as I cannot play anything past the first level because the app will not download the next level. My connection is not the problem. When I try to download the second the level I get the download progress bar but it will not download the second level at all for some reason. I’ll gladly change my review to a 5* once the issue is resolved. If anyone knows why please enlighten me. To the developers: Before you suggest that I uninstall and reinstall the app please read my review in its entirety as I’ve reinstalled the game multiple times. I see I am not the only person with this issue. I have the latest iOS version available for my iPhone 6. Please, I’m begging you to help me resolve this issue as I’ve paid the $4.99 to purchase the game. Unfortunately I cannot play past the first level.

Best mobile game I've ever played, but.... The graphics are beautiful, the combat is fun, the story is pretty good, and puzzles are just right in difficulty. I'm trying to get every achievement, but there is one that requires you to kill 30 enemies with the spear. I have played through every level in the game with the spear, yet still don't have the achievement. I have no clue what I'm meant to do to get the achievement. Anyways, great game other than that!

Short but sweet. Oddmar is a beautiful game with fantastic animations and fluid gameplay. As far as platformers go, it’s very forgiving, making it worth playing even if you don’t usually like platformers. My only complaint is that the controls can sometimes be difficult/unresponsive, though that is more a flaw of the platform rather than the game itself. Worth every penny.

For Valhalla!!. Oddmar was the best few bucks I have spent in the App Store in a very long time. This game is not only packed with awesomeness!! It is beautifully designed and each level has a new surprise and play style. This game is sooo good that I keep playing all the levels over and over again even after beating the game. Let’s not forget Oddmar’s Silliness and Wittiness!! Playing this game on my daily commute in New York City got other train riders jealous of my Oddmar style but I share the game with them. For Valhalla!!!!

Fantastic Platformer; Oddmar sails!. Just beat the game, and was impressed enough to want to put out a quick review. Completely worth the little bit the game costs. The game oozes quality; the visuals are quirky and beautiful, fully scored and narrated, and the controls are perfect (I switched to on-screen), both light and responsive at all times. I play on PS4 mostly now days, but when I started this game on a trip, I couldn’t put it down, even once I got home until I finished it. Loved it. Can’t wait to buy whatever this group puts out next.

A unique platformer. Excellent work. I am often critical with my app reviews but this game is done well. Graphics/Media: Creative and original. Storyline: Just the right amount of crossover between "real life" folklore and original content. It keeps you guessing and the story ultimately resolves well. Playability: I will always prefer real buttons but the controls are absolutely usable. Should you buy it? Yes. This one is worth it.

Best iPhone game I’ve ever played!!!!. This is easily the best game ever made for a phone! I’m a huge fan of Mario, the original, and all of the game’s reincarnations. But Oddmar is even better! I never thought I’d say that about any game, especially one made for phones. But the pacing is amazing, the story is great, the animation is awesome! They pulled out all the stops for this game. It’s absolutely worth the money and I highly recommend it!

Instant classic. Best side scroller I’ve ever played on a touch screen. Whimsical and humorous, beautifully rendered with intuitive controls- a seamless game worth every penny. The art, music, cut scenes and occasional in-game surprises are completely fantastic and make the the gaming experience one of the best in this genre and format. Hardcore retro gamers might remember Little Samson from the final days of the NES- this is reminiscent of that cult classic with all the modern improvements you could ask for. An absolutely brilliant game.

Untouchable iOS Scroller. I’m a veteran gamer, starting all the way back at the beginning of arcade gaming, and then into Commodore, Atari, Neo Geo, Turbografix 16, Nintendo, Genesis, Playstation, and every console since, all the way up until the latest PS4 Pro and XBox One. This title for the iOS platform is by FAR the best out there, and even competes with other systems / classic games of the past, all the way to the latest consoles. The idea behind this style of gaming is perfecting your timing and they programmed this to excel. As the progression of the game continues on, it goes from learning to mastering, and the replay value of each level is excellent too, being that you will most likely have to replay the later levels to achieve the bonuses received after beating set time goals. On top of that, the graphics are top-notch, the music is excellent, the sound effects are on point and the story is original, including the narration on the cut scenes, which also hold their own. I don’t spend even a handful of dollars unless it’s worth it, and I do my research prior to making any purchase. Oddmar has literally satisfied every aspect I look for in a quality game, and while other titles have been completed and then deleted, this one while stand the test of the time. Don’t even hesitate - and you can thank me later.

Dang this is good. Wow, this is rare that I comment on a. Game but this is worth every penny. The amount of work that went into this game are evident. It’s beautiful, challenging, and gameplay all at its best give this one a try you will not be disappointed. PLEASE ADD A RESET GAME BUTTON!! I would love to be able to completely reset the game and collect all the coins again! It’s not fun to replay when your only focus is walking through the level with no goal to collect.

Elegant design and lovely style. Oddmar is a fresh take on the classic platformer. It borrows some of the the fundamental mechanics that made platformers of the past great (such as wall jump, 2 lives, coin collecting) and adds a few new layers which give it depth and optional layers of difficulty without increasing the complexity. The gameplay is smooth and the controls are snappy. As for the art, this is one of the few games that I regret having an iPhone and not an iPad because there is just too much lovely detail in everything. The animations are filled with character and the backgrounds are simply stunning. BUT! The designers didn’t sacrifice style for clarity, enemies and intractables POP out of the background. I have only 1 complaint, I really wish oddmar’s random quirky animations while jumping were slightly more frequent. But that is such a small nit-pick on this masterpiece.

Graphics are nice but controls are so frustrating. I keep quitting this game mid-level because I find the game controls frustrating and not very responsive. It's also super annoying to have to click through the opening credits - can't it remember I've already seen it and just skip it completely? At this point, I'm disappointed I spent money to purchase the game and now I just play it out of of obligation to "get my money's worth," not because I actually am enjoying the game. I don't understand why it has so many highly rated reviews. Buyer beware.

Amazing game but needs a bug fixed.. There is something horribly wrong with the bee sounds at least on my end. I tried closing the app, it does this in my phone speakers as well as headphones so it’s not a speaker issue it’s with the application it’s self. Basically the issue I’m having is the bee sounds are wildly wildly overdriven sounding with massive clipping. If my volume is at let’s say 50% the bees sound at about 400% I’m using an iPhone 11 Pro Max, with the latest version of iOS.

Even if you hate platformers.... Full disclosure, I’m a klutz with platforming games even with a proper controller (I hate you Donkey Kong Tropic Freeze). I was skeptical about this title even though I’ve seen it on the top charts for some time now. I pulled the trigger due to the recent sale and... wow. What an amazingly polished title. Tight, responsive controls, beautiful animation, and an absolute delight to play while grabbing all of the collectibles. The difficulty is never unfair and every death (and there were plenty) felt deserved while encouraging to try it again. Do yourself a favor and purchase this game if you haven’t already. Gems like this on the App Store are few and very far between.

A really REALLY good game!. This game is worth the money 100%! The art style reminds me of Rayman Legends so... Ultra plus, nuff said. The gameplay is simple yet still really fun. Every boss battle felt unique and special as well. Control-wise, it’d a little awkward to get used to, but soon you get the hang of it. Overall, this game is a must play and while I do wish the game was longer, I heavily recommend it for someone looking for a platformer or any mobile game made with decency.

One of the best. For me, this is easily one of the top 3 mobile games I have ever played. Great story and graphics. I don’t know what some reviews are complaining about regarding the touch controls. I found them more than adequate for the motion this game required both on iPad and iPhone. They are as good as can possibly be expected on a touch platform. Overall, I can’t recommend this game more.

Looks Great. Visually it is a beautiful game. The story/exposition is really irritating but I’m sure RPG fans will like it. Also the left hand controls are garbage. Too many times you try to switch directions only to have your character stall and die. Very frustrating. Then again they seem to try to fix this not by making better controls but by placing tons of save points through each level. This does not really make the game play pleasant at all though as it doesn’t fix the problem.

REALLY GREAT one thing. THE GAME ALL MECHANICS just perfect and I really love it and I’ve given you time but I want more added to this game I understand budget cost and all but you have a f in great game one of the best around I’ve seen but we always will want more from this perfect game idk about others but this game is great but we need more content. Love ya guys and keep up the good work I mean it could be anything you could even after beating the game as our main character play a adventure as Thor or you could keep the story rolling really depends on what you want to do

The great oddmar. I love this game. The graphics are wonderful. I am a big fan. I have been playing this game for a month or two and I’ve gotten to fighting Loki. It’s been tricky but I finally beat him. Oh wait...why did it start me all over again. I smashed the gem 3 times. What just happened. It thinks I died. Just so the developer knows. This has happened 4 times so far. For whatever reason maybe there was a glitch in the game and I got hit on my last heart but didn’t register till seconds later or what not.

Thanks from a Complete Thumb Dork. The first time I downloaded Oddmar, I opened it, saw it consisted of jumping puzzles, and applauded its beauty. Then deleted it. Then I saw it in the App Store again some time later and tried again. The way you’ve programmed this game takes a lot of pressure off this dork. It appears by the ratings that people love it, so it’s obviously the right amount of challenging for the widest swath of people. Which is amazing, combined with the fact that the controls don’t make me want to quit immediately. I’m having fun with it. It may get more challenging dexterity-wise in later levels and I’m cool with that. (I’m lying, I would be way more bitter)

Fantastic game that’s slightly limited by mobile.. This game embodies all that’s great about a premium mobile experience. The story is cute, the graphics are amazing, and even the music is good. Best yet, there’s not a single in-app purchase in sight. Ironically, what makes this an exemplary premium mobile game also calls out why mobile is still not the ideal gaming platform. The controls are mostly responsive, but the gesture based movements are still not precise and can be very frustrating in the boar stages when they result in unintended actions. This game is a perfect fit for the Switch so hopefully they’ll port it over!

Control limited. This is a great title: good story line, awesome adventures, superb graphics and fairly intuitive finger controls. However..... while the left/right thumb controls are adequate for movements, attacks and actions in the early stages of game play, by the time you reach the second level boss (the Kraken) the fine level control necessary for required action sequences is inadequate. This less-than-nuanced fine control became even more limiting in the next level when timed and action sequences are necessary. What needs to be done to succeed becomes obvious but the control provided by two thumb maneuvering is not up to the task IMO. Several walk-through also cite lack of fine control as a bit frustrating at higher levels and in boss battles but herald the fact that the game in iOS supports the use of wireless controllers. I wish I knew in advance how limiting fine control quickly becomes before laying out the price for this on my iPad. Nevertheless, the positives outweigh even this limitation - at least if the external controller compensates. Time will tell. It’s a title worth taking a risk on.

Truly a Great Platformer Game. The story was nothing amazing but it was cute and kept me rooting for Oddmar. The cut scenes, graphics, and narrative are superb. The controls were fluid and precise. Gameplay was fun and there were many varieties in the levels so it didn’t get old and boring. Bosses were really fun and the difficulty was fair. I didn’t expect to enjoy this game that much so thank you to the developers and hope to see more in the future.

Astounding. This game is beautiful. I played platform Mario back in the day but haven’t done any platform games since. This game very quickly converted me and has made me hungry for much much more. The art and feel of the game is nothing short of beautiful. The Viking mythology in such a captivating style was particularly enchanting for me. Well made. Well done. I want more people playing so we can have even more from these content creators.

Great... If it works. I think that this is a game that has so much potential. The amount of ideas and concepts that can and could be added, combined with some amazing graphics and a beautifully crafted soundtrack helps make this truly standout game. The problem? It does work, I can’t even play the second level, as it says that the “level has not been downloaded yet” even though I have full bars on WiFi. I have even tried using my cellular, nope. No matter what I do, I can’t play this game. By the way I play on an iPhone 6S+ on iOS 11. Sorry, but until this is fixed it’s a 2 star. Edit: A great support team and legendary staff helped me fix this issue, running as smooth and beautiful as I thought, great game and absolutely worth your time and money!

An Absolute Gem. This was so much fun. The challenges for each level are actually challenging, but I felt myself wanting to beat the level so I could get the next little bit of the story. It was like playing a book. The whole story is actually narrated which makes it sound like you are reading a book. If a 2nd one ever comes out I will definitely be on board. It isn't a super long game, but it is well worth it. I am sad it is over.

FIX THE BEE SOUND BUG!!!. Ok... so I’m using the iPhoneX 12.1.3 with Bose QC35 II headphones over bluetooth and let me tell you there is something MAJORLY wrong with the Bee Sfx in the game when being played through my Bose QC35 II headphones. (When played just on the phone it works fine) The game is fantastic but as soon as one of those bees start buzzing towards me my headphones go absolutely crazy with the most shrill screeching scratching sound I’ve ever heard. They could torture terrorists with this sound it is unbearable and it happens 100% of the time. The most recent time it actually crashed all sound in the game. I could continue playing but all sound muted until I completed the level. (Level 3-1) I cannot express to you how loud and obnoxious this sound is. It’s deafening and with how many bees are in this game it renders my headphones useless and the whole game unplayable for me right now. Please FIX!!!

Great side-scrolling platformer!. I’m only a few stages in but I really like what I’ve played so far. The controls work really well for touch screen (drag finger across to run, slide finger up to jump, etc.) and the graphics look on par with some 2D side-scrollers I’ve played on consoles—that is to say the game looks really good. Definitely worth checking out if you’ve got $5 to spare. Speaking of which, it’s a complete game with no micro-transactions or interruptive ads ruining the experience. I think that is worth supporting in a market as stuffed with free-to-play garbage as the App Store. Also, it’s got Vikings! 👍

Great game! Too short!. Best platform since… well for a long time. Great story & play! Plenty of secrets to find. I beat it but am not even close to finding all the Valhalla levels. Glad they left it open for a sequel. Here’s hoping it’s like 2x longer. As an 80s Mario playing kid, these games are far superior to any new “runner” game or frankly any new game. Well worth the $. I’m 40 & this game made me feel like a kid again. Thanks so much!!!!

Good. It would’ve been great, but the controls are phone suicide inductive! OG gamer from Atari 2600 so I get it you push through regardless. I just have to “walk away” at times or I’d scare everyone in a 7 block radius. Honestly though that’s what makes this game sooo good, I keep coming back. Storyline is written on a console platform level. Graphics are indeed almost there. Only reason I’d not give it 5* is because of the control. I’m sure the developers are aware. I’m also pretty sure it’s not there fault just limitations with the touchscreen. All and all if you are, were, wanna be a hardcore gamer I couldn’t think of a better game to remind, continue, or introduce yourself to what gaming is all about. Keep up the great work! Edit. The game is great. It’s just challenges you. Controls are fine just have to adjust your thinking a bit. This is a really, really, good game done well. My only complaint now is wish it was longer!

Absolutely exceptional!!!. This is literally the highest quality mobile game I’ve ever played. The design, execution, and story telling are completely unparalleled is this space. Very few games achieve this level of polish and it’s fun to play for the sheer thrill of watching a team nail every part of their project. The game is worth the money simply for the charming story alone, which most similar games don’t even attempt. There are thoughtful cut scenes throughout that make the whole thing actually feel like a quest and not some dexterity grinder. Round of applause for everyone involved. Buy this game!!!

Perfect! Seriously.. I have eagerly been awaiting this game, and bought it right at launch. It lived up to my expectations and more! Amazing art, amazing controls, awesome story and lore, incredible mechanics, level design and level length are as good as it gets, and the music is sooo good to top it off! Long review short, this game is absolutely incredible and worth well more than five bucks. To not play it is doing a disservice to yourself! Buy it right now! You won't regret it. 5/5 all day.

Just About Perfect. This is the kind of game you wish there would be more of on mobile. Brightly colorful, simple gameplay, can play just as easily 5 minutes at a time or two hours if you have it. Don’t mistake simple for boring. The game has all the hallmarks and qualities of 16 bit platformers of years gone by with hand drawn parallax scrolling (How’s that for you old schoolers as a technical reference.) plenty of collecting, some hack and slashing and fun jumping challenges. I put it much more in the vein of Donkey Kong Country than Sonic or Mario as far as what to compare it to but we all know the affinity people have for the old Rare classic. In short, reward this team with $4.99 of your cash and you won’t be sorry. The world needs more quality premium games at a fair price and nothing will scratch your sentimental itch better than Oddmar if you wish more games were like they used to make back in the day.

Beautiful Game... but controls have issues. UPDATE: There’s another set of controls (on-screen) that can be toggled on in the Settings menu. MUCH better! The location of the “jump down” button is odd (as it’s above the other controls, which isn’t intuitive), and I still have trouble hitting attack vs. jump sometimes, but it’s much improved, so I’m upgrading to 4 stars. The game is incredibly and beautifully rendered, and the story is fun. The levels are interesting and well-designed. Too bad the controllers (at least, on iPad) are the worst I’ve ever used. They ruin the game. The “left thumb” (directional) control randomly reverses direction from right to left, often in mid-jump, usually resulting in instant death. Great game. This game is definitely worth your buy. The game is fairly short with around 25 levels in all and around 2 hours game time. Story is good, artwork and soundtrack are amazing! Very good game, this.. This game is an absolute treat. It has beautiful graphics, the music is fabulous, and the cutscenes are gorgeous. I do think the controls leave something to be desired, but that didn’t stop me from finding Oddmar hugely enjoyable. The difficulty seems to rise at just the right rate, providing a worthwhile challenge but never leaving success out of reach. The plot is well fleshed out and offers teasers every couple of levels, which drives you to keep playing. The gameplay feels so natural, thanks to little touches like birds in the background and the realism of the way objects move. For me, this game was very rewarding, and I felt so proud when Oddmar won his final battle and became a True Viking.

This is a fully realized plat-former that looks like it’s using UbiArt Framework or something of similar caliber because this has all the artistic talent of Michel Ancel’s team at Ubisoft for the Rayman franchise. Purchase doesn’t work on my phone and tablet. I bought this using my phone, but it won’t download onto my tablet (which is where I want to play it). Controling oddmar is not easy. The way you can control oddmar is not good. You slide your finger but sometimes your finger is at the end of your ipad or phone screen and you need to put back your finger at the left and the time it takes to do it sometimes makes you loose.

Game Controller Recommended. Great game, especially for the price, in fact I wish I could have paid more for it. Sure this is a very good looking game, with an optional beautiful story to go along with it, but I just tried about a dozon Apple Arcade games that made me appreciate just how rare a game this fun to play truly is. However please use a game controller with this game if you have one, it makes the game play a thousand times funner, since it takes away the potential for awkwardness and annoyance that come along with touch screen controls.

Poor gameplay even if good graphism. Good animations and graphism. Very poor gameplay. The character is hard to control (and no I’m not just bad, I have all the achievements in the game), the commands are bad designed, the scrolling phases are the worst. There is no sense of timing and rythm for the time attacks. Far from being the game it is sold. Very disappointed.

Quite good. I have “texting thumbs” so it hurts to play for too long. Its really good though. I wonder if itd be better to have an option where when you lift up your left thumb he stops moving while jumping. It can be really painful on my thumbs to have to wiggle back N forth to land on an enemy. Its not great for control there. That said, I would say the controls are a strong point of the game. For those wondering, its not a runner like the Rayman game like I thought itd be, you have full control of your character. Controls are quite good. Probably the best ive seen for as many moves/actions the character can do on an ios game. It plays very similar to Rayman on consoles. So far Ive almost beat the first section. The gameplay doesn't seem to innovate beyond the excellent controls. But the amazing artwork/audio and game-feel create a satisfying gameplay experience. One of the things I was impressed with, that most mobile games (especially platformers) don't bother with, is gameplay variation. The bonus levels change up and so do the main levels! I dont have a lot to complain about yet, I suppose it would be nice for the character to have context sensitive attacks such as when an enemy is above you, he could attack above him if you are just below the enemy. Anyway thats all for now. I might review more later.

Great game but won’t work offline. I bought this game to play on my daily commute on the subway but every time I open it it redownloads all the levels. So basically if I open it with minimal reception I can’t play until the game files are downloaded. Again. And by then my subway ride is half way over or over. Meh. Nice but short lived - and terrible controls. The plot, animations, and overall style may explain why the ratings have been consistently high: for a change, a developer has finally done their job of delivering a pretty product, something that is weirdly rare in 2018. That said, it’s astonishing how bad the touch controls are in such a well drawn, and paid, game, and for sure more levels and worlds could be added to a game landscape that’s way underutilized.

Armed to the teeth Achievement not working. I have collected every weapon and shield but the achievement says its only 80% completed. Suberb. By far the best platformer on the iOS. The story, animation, level design and the controls ... Ah, the sweet, sweet controls. I feel almost like I am holding an Xbox controller. Wish there was more. I love this game. It was so fun and had some puzzle moments that I had to try and really figure out. It had some sonic moments too. Collecting the coins, and finding hidden areas for a big coin. My only complaint is that I beat the entire game already. I hope they make a season 2. The graphics are beautiful.

Best Mobile Game. This is the best mobile game I've ever played. Honestly, it is. The most impressive thing is that they nail the controls. Touch controls normally hold mobile games back but not this one. I can get all the precision I need! Also the story is coherent and engaging, the graphics are gorgeous on an Xs and the music is surprising good too. This game actually had me on the edge of my seat.

Great game...Almost.. This is a great game. I’m glad to see a true platformer and not another runner. The only problem is with the onscreen controls. I love this option but they are too small. Either increase the size of them or give us an option to resize them ourselves. Don’t fall into the Tomb Raider 1 & 2 trap of having a great game but controls that ruin the experience. Fun game. Some controls are aggravating. Attack and jump are on the same side. Tap for attack, swipe up to jump. The game doesn’t always get your movement correct. I fought against Loki about 10 times. For the main reason when I swipe to jump my character attacked. Thus causing me to die. Quite frustrating.

Platforming done right. Haven’t seen any glitching yet. Background art and sound work seem less with beautiful animation. Bottomline is excellent physics excellent controls and solid level design. My only complaint is the apple gestures sometimes activate while I’m playing.

Glitches. On the level 2.5 it is possible to jump over the end hit box and fall off the map and on he level 3.5 after the boss fight and you stand right next to the lip you can get behind the boss and continue running though the level

Great Art, Frustrating Controls. The game is undeniably gorgeous. The problem I have is the unreliable controls coupled with sometimes nearly impossible demands placed on your control of the game. Oddmar would be perfect if not for these glitchy unreliable controls. Several of the later levels require near flawless execution of moves that can often fail because the input is registered incorrectly or your finger sticks to the glass when you’re trying to slide it across the glass.

One of the best iOS platformers I’ve played. Good controls, quirky fun story. A bit in the vein of Earthworm Jim, but fantasy instead of sci-fi. Good art direction, very cartoony. Oddmar is a cutie. The best thing are the controls. I’m playing this on an iPad Pro, but it feels like I have the maneuverability of a controller. I’m always hesitant to play platformers on iOS, but this game has it on lock 👏

Great when I can play. Great game. Only got past the 1st lvl because it keeps crashing, especially when I’m not connected to the WiFi or have bad service. Playing on an iPhone 6s with iOS 11.4.1. EDIT: I updated to iOS 12, and am still having the same issue. But I think it might have something to do with connecting to Game Center. I don’t know why that should matter to this game, but it’s affecting the game.

Magnificent!! 👍👍. I have Leo’s Fortune, & it’s a top notch game. Love playing Leo. However, 🍄 is a masterpiece. While Leo & 🍄 have similarities, 🍄 is 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ in all aspects. I’m a casual gamer that can NOT stand pay-to-play (GAMING PONZI SCHEMES). I do not mind spending money on quality games at the initial purchase. 🍄 is a game anyone can play & will enjoy it. If you do not have 🍄, get it now! 🍄 rocks!! Grateful Dead ✌️✌️

Great platformer, WAY too short. I must say I loved the story elements in the game. They were probably my favorite part and had tons of charm. There was a pretty bad sound glitch I had anytime there were bees where the sound would crack and pop. Ran flawlessly other than that. I just wish there was about 4x as many levels and story. Finished it a few hours after purchasing.

Amazing game! But... The game is totally awesome and perfect by all means, my only comment actually is a request, Please make an update with a 2nd chapter for the story with more levels to play maybe this time he’ll meet Thor and Odin I’ll be so glad if this is possible. Or maybe an adventure mode with more costumes for and characters and many more playable levels or an online co-op mode.

Games pretty good. I rate this game 5 star cause im into vikings and norse mythology and the concept of me jumping into different realms thats all i can say i have no problem playing and i love the story it hypes me up overall the game is a 9 out of 10 for a 5.00$ game.

Platform amazing. Everything about this game is exhaustively rendered, beautiful to play even the same level 2or 3times. Detail in all aspects, controls, artwork, staging of levels, storyline, etc are all top notch. I get bored with boring games. This is just a constant “whoah!”. Best game I’ve played yet on iPad. I’ve gotten 20 or 30 over the years. Awesome!

AMAZING. I absolutely love this game it is very good and I love it I recommend it 10/10. I also want there to be a new mode where it is an endless fight or something, like a survival or wave mode. Or maybe more levels also (there are really cool levels and a really cool story also). But I would love those to be in the game.

Platformer at its best. Love the visuals and fast paced rhythm played the first 5 levels and I’m hooked. The fact that this game has a story is huge, they did a great job of creating a character the player actually cares about, has all the fun of old school games with collectibles and blends it with upgrading items. It’s great you’ll have a good time download it!
