Has Potential…. I have used Squarespace for several years and was so happy to add the “link in profile” feature as well as the Unfold app. It has some nice options for templates, but the scheduling/planner portion is not as user friendly for me- probably need to explore more. The reason I gave it only three stars is that it doesn’t sync with my website, instead you have to pull in all the branding colors and logos, which to me is a serious chore as I don’t want to flip back and forth typing in the color numbers, looking for old photos that I uploaded a year or more ago. I would give five stars if this app synced, but really not much different than something like Canva. I’m hoping that writing this review will prompt Squarespace to make the use of the apps for owners of a Squarespace website cohesive. Thanks for reading!

Endless Possibilities. I have had this app for a few months now and I love to explore all the features it has to offer. I am absolutely in love with its templates and design options that allow for so much creativity and expression. I love using the app to create stories for Instagram but I have recently found I can make unique wallpapers as well. This is something I had been searching for, for some time now and am overjoyed I found my new go-to app for collages. That being said, I would be even more ecstatic if it were at all possible in the future to allow for horizontal templates or an option to convert from vertical to horizontal with the same format. I am still thrilled with the app how it is but a feature like horizontal options would be really useful for computer wallpapers or stories on other devices.

I love it, BUT.... Problem 1: Every time there’s a new theme...my custom template order gets rearranged. And this has been a problem for a long time now. So my nice and orderly CS1, CS2, CS3, RP1, RP2, ART, JN1, etc...gets changed to (like today for example) CS1, HOME, RP2, CS3, JN1, CS2, etc. It will move templates I have not bought up to the front (no shade, just not into digital wave) and also the 2018, which is no longer necessary. Which leads to Problem 2: when I see this rearranged template order, I go into the settings to rearrange them and the mechanism to rearrange them...pressing the two lines...is very very very finicky. I’ve used this app on different phone models before and after the Haptic Touch update. I’ve used the app from my 7+ all the way to my current 11 Pro Max. It’s always been finicky. And by finicky, I mean pressing and lightly holding or pressing harder or longer, nothing will activate it until it will just happen randomly.

Amazing but has glitches and no customization. I really love using Unfold for planning Instagram stories. It’s super useful for organizing long stories because it can get confusing knowing what comes next. I’m giving it 4 stars because there are a lot of issues that I was surprised to find, as well as embarrassed because I discovered the issues after I had posted for a client. If the videos aren’t 15 seconds long then they replay over and over instead of skipping to the next story. I posted a 3 second video which plays 5 times in a row... There’s not much room for customization. For example, you can’t use your own custom colors and you can’t move the text diagonal. The templates are what they are and even though I have purchased every pack it is a struggle to not reuse the same templates over and over. You don’t have the option to adjust the size of the squares so it would be nice if they offered variations of each template. It’s time consuming changing the text for every slide! I wasted so much time going setting the same font,color, size, spacing, etc. for every single slide. There should be the ability to set a default text style for a story. I recommend Unfold and think it’s a great app but until they fix the items listed above I’ll be looking for an alternative.

Loving it!. Story: I was always looking for fonts to put in my stories. Or when I was congratulating my friends and more stuff like this. Well now I know what app to use I recommend it so badly the fonts are just so aesthetic and there are nothing over the top and that is good because sometimes the simpler the better. Feedback: Well you could use more fonts and you could make it be no money. Like you can unlock but still besides that I absolutely love it [btw I know every app has to have some things that require money it was just a suggestion]

One MAJOR Flaw. This app is so amazing with simple, beautiful layouts. I wanted a place to “journal” and preserve all the photos and videos on my phone (I have over 10,000!), and I’ve tried other apps and not loved them. So I created a beautiful “story” from our month with plans to start doing them each month to share with family..... share with family.... ooops! THERE IS NO WAY TO SHARE THE STORIES!!! Except on Instagram I guess... ? But my story is over 100 pages and my family isn’t on Instagram. I spent hours over the last month creating this with the intention to share, and now can’t share, even if I had everyone download the app (which I would be totally cool with!) Oh and when I “saved” it to my phone, it just threw all the pages into my photo library individually WHICH IS WHERE I WAS TRYING TO RETRIEVE THEM FROM TO BEGIN WITH. Once this is fixed I will absolutely give a 5star review because the app is amazing. I just need a way to save and share, like a slideshow or something.

Love it, but would like to see more data.. I love what I get to do with this app. It’s more than just a place to have the links but it’s like a mini website for short attention span people lol Me being the analytical person that I am I would love to see more data on click through rates for individual links, I would also love to see the ability to turn off links versus deleting them and happen to re-put them up if I want to use them again. if you’re looking for a new app to house your links or just look more cleaner this is definitely the way to go. Can we get a desktop version for quick edits and links too.

So Close to Perfection. The charm of Unfold is that it is such a simple shortcut to the tedious photoshop work that photographers did to post on Instagram stories. And the team has done a stellar job in expanding the app’s capabilities. But there are a few things that they are yet to include or did poorly. 1: The export picture ratio is set for older phones like the iPhone 7, but with new screen sizes and shapes, Unfold should launch an update that supports screen sizes like the iPhone XS 2: The first 3 sets were kind of repetitive, people paid for new templates that simply moves a photo a bit higher or more to the right. Granted some of the template were fresh and new, but lots were too similar. 3: One thing that could really enhance the user experience would be to add in a creative mode where you could alter a certain template by moving your photograph anywhere on the page, not just the grey box with the + icon. Or even a creative mode where users could mix and match certain aspects of different templates they’ve bought. These three things would set apart Unfold from other apps like Adobe Spark or Photoshop. And it would become the most sold choice for quick wallpapers, IG story posts, or photo stories.

Love this app, hate the lack of organization. I love this app so much for posting to stories, turned a bunch of my friends on to it. But for the life of me I cannot figure out how to move a page to a different story without having to completely recreate it. I used this app with the ‘stories’ as folders for different content but when I started using it I just dumped everything into one ‘story’. Now I want to separate them in ways that make sense and I can’t do it. Also, I know this isn’t how most people use the app but using it like folders makes it impossible to navigate through without swiping through every page and I’d prefer not to have to do that. Maybe an overview panel that lets you scroll the whole story? I don’t know. I would give this app 5 stars if it wasn’t so hard to organize it afterwards though.

A real Joy! Needs one more feature.. I really really love unfold and it’s enhanced my social media while also making stories a real delight for me again! Thank you! After using it for a long time I was thinking it would be grand if you could just add one simple feature, the ability to filter templates based on how many photos/videos you want to add to a page, rather than just flipping through styles to find the right template for 1,2 or 4 photos. That’s my only thought. Thanks for making the best app anyway!

Great app when it works.. I love the app, when it works. When Im creating a multi page story with a lot of images the app slows down a lot. By three pages of images (two on each page at max) load times become a noticeable issue. If I add any more pages or pictures the app crashes before It can load them. It wont even allow me to download a story without crashing. Im currently on IOS 11.2.5 on an Iphone 7. Other that that issue the app is really good. The layouts are clean and minimal but also creative. Just wish you could “transform” the image boxes to shape them to the orientation of an image for a better crop.

If you pay for a squarespace website…. You should be able to access all paid features on this app, period. Aside from squarespace subscribers not having full access to the app & paid features, If you were grandfathered in to this app and had already purchased templates to use, it’s hard to find them/ access them among all of the other locked templates. You have to add every single template to your favorites for easy access. I can’t understand why they can make a quick access feature for the items you own on the home page - probably because they want to make you scroll through and see everything you’re missing and entice you to pay for the plus/ pro version. So overall, it’s a nice app, but if you are already paying squarespace for hosting, something like this should just come complimentary, and I wish it was better integrated with squarespace on the desktop too.

Why 3 Stars. This app has the potential of being a 5 star app. What is lacking is the ability to save longer pages via video. The app is acting much like the cutter apps which breaks it down into 15seconds. Which means i actually have to use another app to get all the 15second pieces first from day a 4minute video and then go into Unfold. If the developers of this app where to take notice of the direction Instagram is heading with IGTV and up to 10minute videos you guys are onto an app that is easily worth 5$ in my opinion but if you keep it free and keep creating unique templates that it’s a win win either way. But unless you have the ability of updating this app rather quickly with up to 10minute video it’s a three star app. Kind regards.

Don’t bother... basically stole my money. I used the app and tried the free 7 day trial of unfold+ and subsequently signed up for a year membership. My free trial ended yesterday, I was charged for the membership, and I no longer have access to any of the membership features I’ve paid for. I tried to “restore purchases” and nothing happened. I deleted and reinstalled the app, and nothing happened. I even tried to subscribe again, and nothing happened. I’ve reached out to customer service but have not received a response. Pretty garbage experience, unfortunately. I was really enjoying the app until this happened, but now I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Don’t bother downloading if you don’t want to spend money.. I use this app infrequently. They used to be easy and they had free features that you could select to use to create a beautiful story. But recently their app has been updated and the free features are no longer easily accessible or if at all. I see many responses from the Company saying they still offer free features. If that’s true they are not easily accessible (I couldn’t find me) making it pointless to download this app unless you want to spend money. Pretty disappointing to see the free feature taken away. I personally wouldn’t recommend downloading if you are not looking to spend money on a membership.

Superb! However.... This is an amazing app with some amazing templates to create absolutely stunning Instagram stories... HOWEVER, It is currently extremely unstable and needs some bugs squashed. The main bug I've come across is after creating a story when I close and reopen the app all of my content is randomly placed and all over the place. If this is fixed so that there is persistence with my layouts then I would definitely start using again. For now, I no longer trust it to maintain my designs and am sticking to VSCO to create borders for my Instagram story... It's not nearly as cool, but at least it works consistently. Thanks for the hard work, Unfold! But please squash some bugs soon!

Recommend to any Creative Storyteller. I have been looking for a way to add some new, creative elements to my story as well as some accounts I help generate content for. This app has made it easier than ever to take the photos from and event or trip and put them together in a dynamic and visually pleasing template with minimal effort! The UX/ UI on this app is flawless and intuitive and it’s integration with the camera roll is one of the smoothest I have encountered. There are in app purchases that add some templates I really enjoy but the ones that come with the app right out the gate are phenomenal in their own right! I love this app and would highly recommend!

Needs UI adjustments. Firstly, the app itself is great and simple to use (mostly). However, there are a few UI adjustments that need to be made. Font size - Please make this bigger. Universally on the web and in mobile the font size should be a minimum of 17-22px per Apple/Google’s HCI guidelines. My eyes strain when trying to read action items especially with the dark background. Contrast - Again, for accessibility please make things with more contrast. Some of the grays don’t work (like choosing a collage template) it kinda blends in together and I have trouble discerning a few of these. Sizing - Make buttons larger...at least 44px width and height. Some of the tap areas require me to push constantly because the target area is too small. Overall, things need to be adjusted a bit. The design of the app itself is great in it's simplicity but things are too small all around. I hope that the creator of this app reads up on accessibility and some form of minimum design standards for mobile. If/when these things are adjusted the experience of using it would be better!

So close to being my go to!. At its core this app is awesome. Really great design sense that is exactly the style I’ve been looking for. BUT they reallllyyy need to push out an update that allows this app to be more flexible for the user. You can’t change text colors or create any shapes yourself if you’d like to place dark text over a photo, can’t move the photos on a page or essentially alter their layouts in any way like add text to a layout that doesn’t have it, etc. I hope they release new features soon! As a business I can’t keep using the same layout for every story I post, as only 2-3 really work for my needs right now. Would love some more flexibility. Likely going to check back on this app in a month or two.

Love it, but major photo quality issues. I love the entire concept and what the app has to offer! I even purchased one of the film packs because I love it so much, and normally I dont even bother spending money on photo apps. The designs are great and its easy to use. However, I really care about the photo quality of my pictures after I process them with an app. That leads me to the only issue I have with this app. I upload a great quality picture to one of the presets, only to save it with really mediocre quality. As a photo app, I believe you guys should focus more on improving the quality of the pictures! Compressing the pictures to lower quality really makes the app less enjoyable as a lot of the details in the original picture are no longer sharp or as visible. I hope you guys can work on improving the quality of pictures after we save them to our camera roll!

Probably the BEST app out there for creators. Every time Unfold rolls out a new update I’m even more impressed. I truly feel the team wants to make the perfect app for creatives with everything we need in one place. I’m amazed at all the new things the app is capable of, from simple stories layouts, animated templates, bio sites, feed planning, and more. And for the price??!! I’m AMAZED! They truly put love into this app and I just want to say how I appreciate the Unfold team! My creativity flourishes when I work in Unfold.

Amazing app to help boost up creativity. I really love and enjoy creating posts for my Instagram stories via this application, the templates are really perfect and after only spending a few minutes on the app I decided I had to buy all the template packages available. I think it is really amazing as it is, however I do wish it could do more and here are some suggestions I think would be great if they could come with the next updates. For instance, it’d be great if one can simply move the order of the posts within an album from a further point of view instead of having to click on the left or right button until the post reaches where it needs to be. And if the posts could be moved from an album to another, too. Plus, the font and background colors are really limited, it’d be really nice if there are more selections and tones to them, etc. Anyways, thank you so much for creating this application for us to use, now that I have it I can’t imagine doing Instagram stories without Unfold anymore. 😅♥️

Overall, a great app.. I have been using Unfold for a while now to edit my photos and print them and even use them for my Instagram page. It’s been great and everything about it is amazing. It makes my photos look aesthetically pleasing and all of the options that I have for templates and stickers are a lot. But the only problem that I have with this app is that to access almost anything, you need the premium. So I could’ve done a lot more if it was for free and people would’ve liked and shared it more. I suggest they make more things for free that are actually nice and even if they want a premium, at least add more things that we don’t have to pay for. Over all a great app though.

Amazing and very worth it. I absolutely love this app! Being a social media person for more than one organization, it is been a tremendous help when it comes to generating stories for both Instagram and Facebook. I love that it expands your options with different templates and numerous font styles. The only thing that I do not like about this app is that it only saves 15 second video clips. So if I have a video that’s a minute long, I have to hope and pray that I can cut it at the right spot to make a smooth Transition when I bring it over to the app. I would truly give this app a fifth star if we were able to save longer videos!

Gorgeous, Unique and Different. Great for Creatives!. I’m in love with this app! I had been seeing people on Instagram use it for months, and just recently found out which app it was. This app has taken my Instagram stories to the next level. It is so fun to create unique and different pages! I am a creative, and love that I can customize my stories using Unfold. It’s a gorgeous app, simple to use, and I love that the layout is clean and to the point. I haven’t posted to my story without using Unfold since I downloaded it! I’ve been telling all of my friends about it. I purchased all of the templates, and am so glad that I did. The value is also great, which I appreciate! Thanks for creating such a cool app for those of us who want something different.

Good concept, annoying to use. The idea of Unfold is great, but having used it for a few weeks, I’m getting pretty annoyed by its interface. First is the keyboard. I often write in Japanese for my work, and the way that Unfold’s text boxes are formatted makes it impossible to write in Japanese. I have to copy and paste everything from my notes app into Unfold. Next, There’s also only a select few background colours to choose from. Don’t want black, white or a pastel colour for the background? Too bad. Organising slides is incredibly annoying. When you make a new slide it automatically goes to the end of your slideshow. Want it in the middle of your slideshow? Be prepared to press “left” 30-odd times to get it where you want it. I hate how I have to select my template BEFORE I select my photos to insert. Why can’t I move around my photos and easily experiment with different formats? I’m constantly creating a new slide just to view my photos, only to delete it and create it again in a different template. Not sure if I’m making sense. To summarise: I want to like Unfold and I was going to pay for their premium service, but their interface is just too finicky to use.

Favorite supplementary photo app. I use this app on a weekly basis to create amazing stories for my photography so they can be more engaging. Also one of their newer features is an Instagram feed planner which is great because then I can ditch other apps and save some space on my phone. I also have noticed that they are introducing some video features which I am very excited to see what they will do to make my editing workflow easier! Overall great app and highly recommend!

Unfold; Missing it’s Potential. Charging fo a great app is fine, but in this case they charge a lot for very little, often close to 3 dollars for a few story blanks that are soon recognized making stories predictable. I paid for one such add on because I wanted to keep things fresh, but what I received was only a few more templates, within a few weeks I left this app and went to an annual plan on another and for much less than buying one theme, I received all of the themes and have had over 7 themes added without additional cost, including themes with motion/automation. That App, “StoryArt” is amazing and they constantly improve their app. Go ahead and buy one of what Unfold offers and you too will be switching soon. I wish I could get my 3 dollars back, it was a poor investment. Unfold is easy to use and has great potential but very little creativity is offered and what is offered is very limited.

Nice but needs additional features. Good app. Not totally intuitive but once you figure it out it’s solid. Crashes trying to export sometimes but it’s a minor inconvenience. However a few major additions are needed: 1. The ability to see and edit your entire story in grid format instead of only being able to see it page by page - if you’re creating a long story it’s really hard to remember what was 20 pages before! I want to be able to drag and drop just like reordering images in a desktop image viewer. Also if you could see your story in grid format, it would be much easier to tell if you have used the same layout too many times or accidentally used an image more than once. 2. The ability to duplicate the page - for example if you want to try the same layout which has multiple images but only swap out one image, it is annoying to re-create the entire page instead of just being able to duplicate, dame goes for a text page with which you want to try different wording. 3. Full screen (borderless) image layout

Fresh and Simple!. I love how this app is easy to use, it keeps things simple and straightforward. It has beautiful and classy fonts that are fun to create with and many amazing template options and unlike other apps, this one offers you many options for each package. As a writer who does their own illustration, I have fun using the templates that integrate areas for photography as well as text and it definitely has changed the way I’m presenting my poetry now. I’m in absolute in awe with this app and it’s the main app I use for creating material, now. Although it’s already amazing, I can’t wait to see how this app continues to grow! Awesome job

AMAZING 🤩 😍. i literally love this app it’s so nice and neat and i’m in highschool and it makes my photos look really cool and aesthetic and it helps me gain followers on my insta account because the stories are so cool. i use this after i edited my photos with vsco/lightroom then i plug them into this app it and looks so nice😁 this app is one of my favorites! the only thing i don’t like is that unfold plus seems to have cooler stuff (like always) but the non premium option have very little. it would be nice to see there be more in the non premium version bc some people can’t afford it.

Beautiful app! Has great potential. I've been using this for about a week now for my Instagram stories. My views and feedback have definitely increased since I started using this. My only real suggestions would be having the ability to choose different colors for text and background. And the ability to customize layouts like being able to move things around,add/remove pictures from a template (when a template has 4 pics but you only need two, having the ability to remove the additional picture) and add/remove text from layouts. Other than that this app is an amazing tool to have! Would highly recommend to every one who wants to up their social media game 😊💪

I want to love it. It’s easy and user friendly for story creation. The biggest and most frustrating flaw is that even with a brand account you cannot sign in from different square space accounts. This makes no sense especially in the age of social media consultants. I should be able to sign into client accounts and use their brand kits and then sign out and into another clients account without issue. The no account sharing aspect is very frustrating. I also wish they would allow some customization of the templates themselves beyond just color and font. Overall it’s pretty decent and I supplement the animations you can’t do in Unfold with Canva.

Great app with a weird bug. I’ve been using this for a few years now and mostly love it. My main issue is that the photo picker module appears to use an old Apple API and displays my photos AJ’s albums totally out of order with a clunky interface. Looks like it’s from 5 years ago iOS. I’ve tried working with customer support on this but, after a lot of back and forth, they basically threw up their hands and subtly blamed me for it. Literally no other photo or video app on iOS has this Issie, and I use dozens! So, to make the app usable I’m going through the time-consuming task of deleting the hundred old photo albums I don’t need so I can find the ones I want in this app. Insane waste of time but I suppose a testament to how much I want to use this app.

Clean but lacks features as well as integration. For paid app the fact that images uploaded via Mac don’t show up as available images to put into reel or story which is pretty much the worst kind of oversight. Not everyone uses iCloud. Come on! At premium price for Unfold + it could be great App but 20 mins in got this issue and don’t need to copy over to an album 15 GB of photos It would be amazing if unfold (like Canva inspiration) could be resized for different layouts, then you could integrate those landscape versions in the Squarespace website ecosystem. That being said, why is this not a free add on for Squarespace clients ($600 a year isn’t enough?!?) or why not at least integrate and make available the exports in Squarespace into the acct easily. But again, the landscape layout (sometimes we have landscape with border to keep it clean. And more options cause Unfold + is waste of money really!

Brands needs work. I’ve been using unfold for years and love it, I was always hoping that we could upload our own PNG files as stickers as I use this to manage brands and wanted to use their logo without switching to another app to add it. When I saw that you could do this with the new brands, I bought it, but for $100 the functionality you get is pretty minimal… And when you upload a PNG file to use as a sticker it turns the transparent background white. Meaning that you cannot use your logos like you can on other apps or even an Instagram app it’s self :/ Would like to see more features for brands and would like this fixed

I love it!. This app is so tasteful, and allow you to keep memories and create stories in very simple and elegant way. As mentioned before by others, it a pity that there is no option to share the book/story as a proper book/story, online or in print. If the app would only partner with one of the photo book apps, shutterfly for instance, you would make so much from people like me, who spent 3 hours creating a story book with the best moments of my kids in the year, and now I don’t have a practical way of printing it in a proper album format. Overall, congratulations on the beautifully created app!

Another app that looks like a pencil sketch from the 70’s. It started with these horrid tiny head massive body characters on 2020, now it’s all about weird retro line art that was only relevant to gaming now forced into every app design. Did anyone ever ask whether this is actually appealing or relevant to the people using it, or audience it’s speaking to or just wanted something…not the same? Really starting to notice designers basically copying everything every other designer does, then obsess over it and every app looks like a pencil sketch from the 70’s by by a confused and baked out teenager. It’s not fun. It’s cheap looking. Not sure how cheap became a trend but yeah sorry for trashin on it but gets icky feeling a while

Good App BUT.... This is a pretty good app and it gives my Instagram Stories different styles. The only thing that I don’t want about this app is it reduces the photo/Story quality. I have had Instagram Stories (didn’t use Unfold app) and all my photos in Stories have really good quality that they are better than the ones uploaded on Instagram feed because Instagram compressed it (yep, Instagram does that, BUT NOT on Instagram Story; they upload it with high quality or as is). I tried to check the quality of my photos exported from Unfold, the saved ones on my Photos also have poor quality, so maybe Instagram has nothing to do with the exported Instagram Story since they already have poor quality right before they get uploaded on my Stories. I love this app and I’m looking forward to seeing some improvements. Thank you!

PDF export 👍🏻- need photo book option this size. I love this app for quickly putting together a series of photos from an event that I can share, I don’t post much to instagram as posts, nor stories, but I DO PRINT A LOT OF MINI BOOKS - I wish someone would embrace the post/story size so I could just print directly from my PDF, but I end up exporting everything as a JPG and importing into another app to center it on the right size pages for whatever book I am wanting to print. Not everyone wants to view everything on a screen.

Frustrated with the limited features. I loveee the templates on this app, but am very frustrated with the limited fonts, and the flexibility with using them. I don’t like how the font can only be in one direction. I can’t rotate it, change it to a different colour other than black or white, and I can’t apply italicize, bold, etc, to just one part of my sentence. As of the latest update, my app also stopped uploading “unsplash” images to its templates, and that’s frustrating to say the least considering it was working fine a few days ago. (I’ve already submitted my information to unfold) The app definitely has the potential to be great, especially for those of us who enjoy a minimal look, but it’s got a ways to go before I start recommending it to other people considering I still use various apps for the fonts and styles. I mainly use this one for the layout.

I LOVE Unfold!! I really do!. Unfold is pretty easy to use. Never had an issue when exporting photos or anything really. I know now a days apps have this yearly subscription called Unfold+. They have that here but I don’t do that. You do have to make some purchases to get that unique template. I love that! It isn’t pricey either. Ranging from $1-$3, I wanna say. So instead of making a yearly subscription on all templates even when I don’t use them all is a waste for me. Instead of a yearly subscription I get to pick out which template suits me. Better for me!! Though, to make this app better! I would like Unfold to make video editing happen. Have the same idea options of having to purchase templates that would better suit every individual instead of having a yearly subscription. We would have different templates, transitions, reels and timing. It would be so useful to me! Instead of having to use three video editing apps have it in one app. It’s a new thing that I see happen on every social media. I see it on Instagram reels or tiktok videos. Also for influencers using it for endorsements. I know they recently made the animation template in Unfold. Beautiful!! But only for those who have Unfold+. But that’s my reasoning for 4 stars. I love this app but I know y’all can do better upgrades and soon we will see better upgrades. Thank you :)

After consideration.... The user interface is decent enough. The iPad support is appreciated. I get the $ grab for access to more user options/templates, you have a business to run. I have 1 major gripe which has been mentioned multiple times in the reviews and gaging from your response to these reviews isn’t going to be changed. That gripe is the lack of options for export quality within the app. Most the players in this industry figured out ‘full-res’ exports years ago. And while I get ‘full-res’ exports in cellphone apps aren’t really such it bothers me when I see very obvious depreciation in quality of imagery upon export. That’s just not how I roll and no matter how good your templates and app aesthetics are it just does not make up for the noticeable depreciation in image quality. Fix it, and I’m up to 3.5/4. Why not a 5? Well the whole exploitative approach to sourcing content from creators sans monetary compensation strikes a sour note with me particularly so when I consider what is you do and who say you do it for. Extremely irritating bug. The new update changed the title font, which I dislike quite a bit. It messed with my aesthetic. I’m not okay with it at all. Not only that, I decided to update all my story covers and each time the app closed on me. I continued to edit and get kicked off for every change I made. By the 4-5th time this occurred, my patience gave out. In all, I’m disappointed with the new update. I hope the title fonts will be fixed soon. A suggestion would be to allow us to change it to suit our style. The last design was amazing, but perhaps others prefer the new one. I’ll be taking a break from Unfold to allow changes to be made. It really is a good app, just this latest version took a bad turn.

I don’t like the new lay-out.. I have used this app almost two years. In the past I have rated 5 stars. This time, I have to give you one star. Why did you change the design lay-out? There was nothing wrong with the old lay-out. It was easy for me to categorize my projects. I spent hours working on a project last night. I go to work in it today and guess what? It is no where to be found. I am not happy with this at all. Also, I don’t need or like to scroll through the templates. It’s not like you’ve added anything new. Why the extra click? In order to open a template, I now have to “click” to get the template? My work moves fast. I don’t have time for all of this. Not a happy customer.

packages/crop ratio. I love this app so much !! It’s amazing to use for stories to create a consistent timeline of posts. The way the app is organized is quick to figure out and easy to post straight to social media. I just wish it had more template options released more frequently. Also, the ration for the pictures is perfect for stories, but not to post on regular social media apps. If it had a square option, a 5:7 portrait mode, and 5:3 landscape mode option I would be more than happy to use it as I post without having to find another app to rotate and crop, etc.

Easy to use, flexible, but poor output resolution. Update: I stand corrected, I didn’t notice it last night, but the app automatically saves low resolution (2.2mp) images of each page. For social media, e-mai, etc., that may be fine, for printing anything bigger than 5x7 it just won’t be sufficient. There is no reason why it can’t save at a higher resolution. There are plenty of apps that will combine infidelity images into a single PDF, but if the original resolution is bd, the PDF will be no better, and in most cases even worse. The Dev needs to work this issue out, and take the app Universal, and then he/she will have a winner. Original Post: While the app is very easy to use, and offers a lot of predesigned templates to make “story telling” simple, the lack of any output option is a real disappointment, making the end product functionally useless. A simple “save as PDF’ option would go a long way to making this app truly functional. Even being able to print the pages would be helpful, at the moment their is nothing. Let’s hope the developer can make this work. The app also needs to be taken Universal. This type of app screams to be run on an iPad; I edit my 24mp DSLR images on my iPad Pro, and building a story book with an app like this that can be saved as a PDF would be marvelous.

A Beautiful Way To Tell Your Story. As a designer and photographer, I can really appreciate the aesthetics of stories this app creates but also the overall UI. I wanted to write a review so I can provide feedback regarding how to make the experience even better: - More layouts (I’m assuming this is work in progress) - Include check for spelling, nothing worse then creating your story and seeing a spelling error once it’s live. - Have an undo button. I’ve accidentally deleted a page and have also accidentally deleted a long description. - As for editing text, make them in step increments so we can do the exact size and kearning of text for each page. I’m constantly having to make my best judgement with the sliders. - Make a Mac App! Please! While the mobile app is easy to use, I can see making these stories so much faster on a computer because it’s easy to organize/find/sort/edit images. Other than that, I’m so glad I stumbled on this app. It’s going to take my stories and highlights to another level. Thank you!

Beautiful templates (scratch that). Love this app and design of templates. I get super excited seeing my photos in a new way when creating pages. It really makes them standout. —— After a while of not being on this app, I come back to find it overtaken by squarespace and a complete overwhelming mess. I appreciate apps need to make money - it’s a business but I also think big companies like squarespace assume that more features = better app=more opportunities to make money. I think this is wrong. So wrong. I am really tired of photo apps that were originally beautiful and tasteful in design adding so many features that you can no longer figure out who this app is for and the purpose, nor find the original beauty and simplicity. One other distinguishing factor of bad app evolution is when items that were originally free (ie classic template?!?) - that you have used to create content are now a part of the subscription model. There are still free items here - they’ve created new substandard stuff for free use. I also paid for templates in the past and have no idea if I can get those back. For the love of all good design, before people sell their apps, can they leave an old renamed version out there for those of us that don’t want to cover our designs in tacky stickers. We are the users that made your app popular enough to sell.

Good app - close to great!. This app definitely helps you change the game for IG stories. It’s so much easier to build your narrative and also automatically helps show your photos in a polished way. There are a few tweaks that I would love help on from the developer: 1. It would be great to share or transport pages between different stories within the app instead of having to rebuild it. 2. It would also be good to see your full story in a grid or tiled format so you can see your layouts holistically or rearrange your pages. Right now, if you’ve built a long story, you have to shift the order slide by slide so it’s really laborious. 3. App access through different devices. I have all my app content on one device. I can not access this on my mini IPad or my second phone. Most apps you can access from multiple devices. 4. The ability to export into keynote versus just a pdf is a pipe dream. Hoping this is in the future scope. It will change the game for on the go recaps. Hope to get a developer response on this!

Mire difficult to navigate.. Have it used other apps of this kind I find this more difficult to navigate. Maybe I need to just get used to it more but IMO unpaid version is not worth worrying about and subscription is more than I’m willing to pay.

Really like this app, but it can be quite limited. It would be nice if the texts could be put moved into custom angles instead of being set horizontally across the screen. It would also be great if we could put a custom backdrop behind each photo on all different templates instead of the set 7 colours on most templates.

I NEVER AGREED TO THE SUBSCRIPTION!. If I could give no stars I would, I got the app ages ago and used it once, I definitely did not agree to paying a subscription. Then I just went to delete the app and it asked if I wanted to keep the subscription... I’m glad it alerted me or I would have been furious when the next lot of money came out. I’m already angry enough at the money that must have been taken without my knowledge. I am so careful with things like this and a subscription to this app is something I never would have paid for and definitely didn’t sign up for. So download with caution!!!

Not loading videos. Having trouble loading my unfold videos it won’t save or share it to Instagram. Photos are fine but it won’t do videos. Getting a bit annoying so need an update ! I know a few that are having this issue It’s a great app please fix!

Magnificent app. The app is great guys but a bit more flexibility with the pictures would make it perfect I reckon. Resizing & moving picture frames aren’t existent features and it can get frustrating at times.

Monthly charges. Monthly charges for an app I use very rarely as a photoshop alternative not worth paying monthly use to be great when you could purchase the filters and they were always adding new ones to buy but now they add hardly anything and want to charge way too much for it! Also Lost all the filters I bought and they charge for everything! No one time purchase anymore it’s all monthly!

I love it, only some small suggestions.... Firstly please make an option to have a whole-frame 9 x 16 photo. Sometimes I want to add the simple big photo just as it would usually be in a classic instagram story but with a lot of photos and getting a specific order for them it can be confusing. Also it’s a great tool for making sure all the photos are ready to go on instagram (in the ‘last 24hrs’ section) once you save them, rather than having to sort through old photos trying to find the one I want for that occasional 16x9 whole-screen photo. Secondly please add more themes, loving the ones so far :) Thank-you!

Very unhappy with recent update. Which deleted literally more than half of the designs (eben the ones I paid for). No idea why, really unhappy cuz it's been my fav app & really felt like I am let down. Hope they'll be back soon, this is really disappointing

A decent app, but a bit of a cash grab if you already pay for Squarespace. I’m a bit shocked that there is an additional fee on top of a Squarespace subscription for basics like analytics on a bio site.. (like what buttons people clicked) I get it for the purposes of people signing up through this app there should be a cost, but for Squarespace paid users another additional fee seems a bit steep. It’s a shame because the app and bio sites are good, and the post templates are nice too. But give your paying subscribers a bit of love (even if it’s not all of the features, but a little more to match the subscriptions we have on the main Squarespace would be nice)

Best photo app ever. Love using unfold to create stories books for my son as he journeys through life. Also green for business projects.

Love it, although.... It’s a great app, easy to use and I love the templates. Hopefully more will become available. One thing I’ve noticed is that images sometimes don’t keep the same aspect ratio as the original and look squashed, maybe I’m doing something wrong???

Awful customer service. I did not have a good experience with Unfold in the slightest. Their website is nearly impossible find any contact info and when they send a reply saying they’ll get in contact to sort your issues they just don’t reply or it’s a severely delayed reply. I would never use Unfold just due to how poorly they handle their customer issues and how it’s nearly impossible to get ahold of anyone at the company.

Video uploading. I am having trouble uploading videos to the template, I try saving but it just freezes! But I love all the templates and using my photos to share my stories on Instagram! 🙌🏻

OK App. The app has got some cool templates and stock images are nice too. Only thing is that you can’t upload photos from your own library. After selecting your photos from the Camera Roll, you click on “Done” and nothing happens. Hoping to get some feedback from the developers. Good luck.

Great, but.... A fantastic and original app, however when uploading video stories to Instagram, they appear blurry. On the unfold app they look great but on the actual Instagram story they appear to be far reduced in quality. I would love a fix to this problem if possible?

Fantastic!. Love this app! Especially the fonts! Just wish the image quality was a tad better when exporting, occasionally it can be a teeny bit fuzzy.

Great app but slight glitch!. The app is great in general! I love the fact that we can put videos into grids and the wide range of templates that are provided. Although one thing that needs twitching is probably the fact that once you preview the page, the sound continuously plays in the background even when you go to the home page. It only stops once you force close the app. That’s a bit annoying so hopefully can be fixed in the next update :)

Hell Yes!. Finally an app that makes beautiful stories easy and accessible for small businesses who don’t have a staff to create beautiful graphics and layouts. I love it!

Can’t do simple things. This app doesn’t allow you to upload from folders other than your camera roll. If you import the images from your computer into your device you cannot upload these images to the grid which is essential for any professional. I have allowed access to all folders within the phone settings. This app displays a grey line between grids in the grid view. Which makes it difficult to see what your photos will actually look like on the grid within Instagram.

Nice App. Unfold provides a lot of cool templates to instagrammers or bloggers to have a better way to present their work and share it to social media. It’s definitely a must download app if you are a blog person or a person who loves to share your story to public.

Nice app. I like the app it makes it easier to create a story and post. It is cool that you can upload photos AND videos. Although sometimes the videos were saved as mirrored than the original??

Great app... but have had a few glitches. App is great. Great themes and just love the simplicity of it and look. BUT I’ve had once lost all my purchased themes and had to repurchase and now when I use video in the frame it struggles to download the single page. Error keeps coming up or it only processes 15 seconds of video. I hope this if fixed real soon!

Please add transparent png support. Quick and fluid app but the lack of transparent backgrounds in png format support is something that is necessary when adding different elements. Please add this functionality in an update

Some suggestions. Would be great if u could add transitions from one page to another and could then save as a mini flowing movie.. I think that would make this app so much more appealing.. also the ability to add audio could be cool too?? Good app, doesn’t save if moves to new phone. I do like this app, great layouts and easy to use. Unfortunately found that the stories created do not restore if you need to use a new phone. If it did this then definitely would be 5 stars, but this is a big loss of stories created that can’t be used again.

Issue with Unsplash image load. Having issues on many occasions loading images from Unsplash into template. Gets stuck loading and freezes app. Have to turn off Device and start again. Hopefully the bug gets fixed soon!

Buggy. Impossible to work with this app anymore. Editing is a nightmare. It does not download as it appears on screen and when you try to work with this app to create your posts, things like text is not visible or clickable but when you actually download it, it’s there. It’s actually frustrating. The worst part is I pay for stuff and now the app is unusable, unreliable and inefficient. Been using it for years as well and it was always quick and easy to whip something up and had no issue. Going to cancel my sub and work with another app.

Great concept, not very user friendly. Love the designs and fonts but text application, sizing and positioning is fiddly.. also there are a few functions that just shut down the application when you click them.

Amazing must-have for Instagram!. Seriously blown away by this app! Effortless user experience, plenty of stylish templates & video is great! Can’t wait for more features. Only small thing I’d love to request is to change the export resolution/codec for video...it exports quite compressed, then gets compressed again when posted to IG so the final video quality is a pixelated. But other than that, nailed it!!!

FINALLY. I NEVER write reviews but I have to because this app has FINALLY supplied me with the editing tools I’ve been searching for forever. This is the only photo editing app that allows you to layer one photo on top of another, without requiring transparency or pixilation. Adobe photoshop mix is the one other app that offers this feature however the photos pixilate and as far as I’m aware they don’t know how to fix this issue. I’m also so happy that this app allows you to upload directly to your instagram story. What used to take me 3, 4 or 5 steps to complete now takes 2. So simple and satisfying. Thank you!!!

Terrible. Un-usable. When you try to connect the App to your Instagram account it sends you to a page asking you to log into your Facebook account - ipso facto, you can’t use this App for its stated purpose of posting to Instagram. And support don’t bother to get back to you.

Amazing (almost) all-in-one creative suite!. Been using Unfold for a while and it just keeps getting better! The creativity put into designing the story templates is fantastic. Each time they release a new set (and they do so regularly) I’m just so excited to use them. Saves me so much time in photoshop trying to make nice looking frames to show off my work in a 9x16 format. The bio site feature they recently released is so worth the subscription. Looks so much better than some of the alternatives. Love the design layout although a little more customisation would be nice (background colours mainly) but too much and it would get bloated and gimmicky. Now the planner, it’s a nice add-on and works like expected but what would really win me over to making it my go-to planner is adding in a feature to shift the grid so when you have a specific theme to your feed you can see it without having to upload a blank photo just to align the feed. I have a certain colour theme to my grid but don’t always have content ready to post and would rather not use a random photo as a placeholder. Anyway, great app and user interface with some amazing designs for a reasonable subscription price that I can justify as a freelancer.

Meh. App lost a lot of its momentum and user-friendly feel when square space bought it. Just a pay to play now for any advanced feature and apps interface is very confusing and poorly organized. Good templates but unfortunate way this app has been handled.

Great tamplate. Just starting out in here and so far love that you also offer free template with out signing up a great way to start the feel of it but so far loving it looking forward to do maybe a yearly membership soon!!

Love the app but cannot export any pages!!!. I don’t know what happened but the only format I can export the pictures in is PDF. Everything else results in error....

Very disappointed. Purchased the pro feature to be able to link two business Instagram accounts and it does not allow it. App keeps crashing and I emailed for help. Now requesting a refund after trying to use the upgraded features for 4 days and not even being able to log into the Instagram account. What was the point of purchase of the upgraded feature if it see not even work.

So smooth and simple.. I was not great at making eye catching flyers but with Unfold it’s been so easy and simple. I’m a pro now.

Great customer service and tasteful designs. I had some issues with the app crashing after I last updated it, but the customer service was quick to reply and offer assistance (something I’ve always experienced with Squarespace). Sadly I lost all of my saved projects, but was otherwise quickly back on track. I use this app almost daily. It’s part of my regular Instagram workflow and i love it. For the most part I really like the tasteful curation of template options and appreciate it isn’t overrun with hundreds of useless designs that I’d have to sift through. That said, I like the fact that I can “heart” my favorites so that they are easier to locate. This is a fantastic app!

Always freezes on my phone. Has amazing presets and templates but the app always lags and freezes which is annoying and not user friendly.

money. the app itself is a good concept but the price is insane. the amount of options is also extremely minimal. i did a bit of digging and found a FANTASTIC app that is $22.00 a year with 500+ design layouts and options.

Only creates photos but it’s easy to use. The tools are easy to understand and the interface is friendly. The app only exports images that you post yourself. I don’t mind that, but the cost to upgrade is high. You don’t get access to use anything other than the very basic features. For example, additional colors beyond the basic options are extra which seems a bit excessive. I pay (not a small amount) for my Squarespace website so I think some of the features in this app should be free to current customers.

Won’t even open. I can’t even get the app started. It just sits on a loading screen and nothing happens.

Doesn’t make any sense. Animated templates should not be exclusive to paid subscribers. I should be able to buy them individually just like any other template collection within the app.

Too much for too little. This app will cost you ~$130 for the year and the only thing it allows you to do other than the free version is to upload a watermark sticker. You can’t change the background colours so you have to use white even if your brand colours do not include white. Absolutely not worth purchasing.

Too bad there isn’t more free features, lots of in app purchases and subscription requirements. Title says it all

Squarespace missed an opportunity.... You’d think that Squarespace would realize that if they allowed their subscribers to have access to this app as part of their subscriptions that it would increase it’s usage & attract more paid users! It’s potentially a great app, but i’m not going to pay additional money when I already have paid a hefty fee for my squarespace site subscription. Hence the 3 stars...it’s just a money grab right now.

My own private studio. One of the things I love most about UnFold is that it’s helped me be more creative. This is one of 2 apps I use to promote my short stories! I highly recommend this tool. Fun-expandable & simple!

Not working. Impossible to input anything in there

Cannot switch around the cards or delete. So once you create a card in your story, you cannot move it around, and you cannot delete a card you don’t like anymore as well. Very basic features, how can these not be available? It is like expecting us to know exactly what should be put in what order. Other than that everything is so aesthetic and beautiful.

Everything behind a paywall. Looks like there might be some nice templates, but can only access maybe 4 before paying $5 monthly to try and test out UX, only to see all the good templates are behind another subscription level at $127 - how much do you need to $$ to see if I even like it 👎

Love the templates, but not the latest app update. The app is easy to use and I like the extra polish they give to my stories. The animated templates are a nice touch when sharing stills or adding slides to the end of a Reel. I’m a bit disappointed by the latest update- the carousel highlighting all the different series of templates has been removed and I now find it very hard to quickly find the collections of templates I want.

I really like the app and all the features it includes but my big problem with it is that the app continues to close and take me back to my Home Screen when I’ve gotten into the app for only a minutes and it seems to happen when I go into the animated section when creating a template. My phone isn’t old either I have an iPhone XR

Sticks. I have an iPhone X running 12.1.2. For me, the story does not save as a story. It saves as a series of photos unrelated to each other. Was hoping to build it and then be able to post the whole thing at once. Hope this will be the direction. Now for the good parts! I have been totally immersed in the artistic features of this app since the download. So much fun, so stimulating. A great provoker of inspiration. Very artistic and beautiful. One of those apps you hope no one else discovers so you just look like a genius. 😎 Love it

Love it, unique. I love it, this is such a unique app to me as you let us have a lot of choices in order to create. This is the only app that I’ve found that doesn’t have us pay for things that the app is for. I would say there’s nothing else like this. And the things we can pay for are only $1 or $2, and we get so much and things that should be worth more.(plz don’t make it more). This is how you make an app, and what your actually supposed to do. My go-to story app!. I usually just stick to the free stuff, but this app deserves every penny I’ve spent so far. I’m super pleased that there is no watermark, and the new template packages that they release are usually about $1-$2, and well worth the money. My main concern: Every time I fall in love with an app, the developers get greedy and toss in a watermark & monthly subscription to keep the watermarks off. I REALLY really hope that doesn’t happen with this app. I buy upgrades. Grandfather customers like me please, if you ever do decide to do that 🙏🏽

2+ year user, used to love it, now deleting. I’ve had this app for at least two years and have loved it. But for about the past 6 months I haven’t been able to get myself to want to use it anymore. It has updated and changed so much. There used to be SO many free options and I would purchase other ones for $1.99 here and there. Now the app as a whole takes longer to work my way through whereas it used to be so minimal and simple and easy to use. The main layouts I used to use almost daily aren’t even on the app anymore. Once the app started getting more hype it change too much and I just don’t like it any more.

Kind of annoying for businesses. It’s really glitchy trying to log in. They make you link your business account to a Facebook page which is really annoying because a lot of businesses don’t use Facebook, mine included. It makes you authentication your account through Facebook every time you log in and it’s really problematic. It doesn’t work every time. This was a lot better when I just had one personal account. Having two accounts is not great. It’s always logging one account out as well. It could be really good but they need to invest more time developing a lot of the bugs out.

Probably the BEST app out there for creators. Every time Unfold rolls out a new update I’m even more impressed. I truly feel the team wants to make the perfect app for creatives with everything we need in one place. I’m amazed at all the new things the app is capable of, from simple stories layouts, animated templates, bio sites, feed planning, and more. And for the price??!! I’m AMAZED! They truly put love into this app and I just want to say how I appreciate the Unfold team! My creativity flourishes when I work in Unfold.

Fun at first, but limited. I chose Unfold as an alternative to Instagram Layout when that app just outright stopped working on any of my devices, and there are many things I like about Unfold, but for a $20/year subscription, there should be more than 161 templates for posts, especially since they are mostly repetitive and include an inordinate number of wedding options. I have a lot of hope for this app - and I love that I can make short and sweet reels without needing to jump into Adobe Premiere Rush - but for that price, it needs a lot more variety and options.

Love it - just a few things to add though. I love this app very much, it’s simple and clean - just what I am all about. I wish we had though the option to modify some of the templates like adding a frame or removing a frame or adding a photo in the background when it’s not an option and use a slider to decide how transparent that photo would be . Today I wanted to have an horizontal frame simple with another photo background and I couldn’t find one .

APP TO GET!!!. This app is AMAZING! You can do almost anything with the app! I have made several collages, and stories all about family trips, adventures, and memories. Although it would be really nice to have some of the premium abilities and have different designs, it is still amazing and wonderful. Everything can be pitched together wonderfully using this app, and highly recommend.

Overall happy, a little recommendation. I am loving this app so far. It really brings my stories to life and sets them apart. I really do wish there was a way to save all my stories created in the app in my account because I just got a new phone and there is no way for me to transfer all that info over. I am an influencer and I use the app to plan future content so this was a big downfall for me.

Glitch—can’t type when choosing to enter text.. I’ve been using unfold since 2020 and its stunning, until it doesn’t work. First, it wouldn’t allow me to restore my purchases until I found some multiple step way of doing it. It should be obvious and right on the first page. Second, big glitch: I can’t type when i enter a text box. I’ve tried reinstalling, updating, switched between phone and iPad. This took over an hour and still doesn’t work. I won’t be renewing my subscription bc this isn’t the first time its had a sig glitch.

Good idea but.... This app has some cool features and templates but it could be so much better. It could be better if you can save your entire story and share it. It would be awesome if the story could play through like a slideshow without having to tap to move the page. And also, it’s super annoying that when you add a page it automatically goes to the end of the story and then you have to love the page where you want it to be if you want it earlier in the story.

Templates are ok, not great for Instagram Posts. I use the classic templates mostly. I like the simpllicty and minimilism of them. A refresh in templates would be nice, they've been the same for a long time. I upgraded to pro to have access to a 1x1 square but they don't tell you before upgrading that there is not curretnly templates for 1x1 squares. I don't see the advatnage of the Pro subscription. Also, they do not store your projects anywhere so if you delete the app from your phone (I did in trying to fix a bug) you loose all of your projects.

Good app BUT. There is not a lot of customization! You have to pay for all of the options that you want...which I don’t necessarily mind BUT if I am going to have to pay I would like the option to choose the color scheme I want and have the option to custom the sizes of certain templates. With this app there are only 5 colors to choose from and if your brand colors is not one of those colors then you’re just out of luck. You can’t resize the actual templates...which is sad. Other than that the app is okay! If it had both of those options I’d rate the app a 5!

Love this app!!!. I just got this app a day ago and I am already in love! It works perfectly and allows me to document my travels in a more visually appealing way. However, I do have some suggestions for the app: - more fonts - the ability to only change one word’s font instead of the whole text box changing - ability to resize the photo frame (for example, if the layout is a square photo and I have a lot of space above/below it, I might want to extend it a bit more) - ability to maybe add more text-boxes? - make it easier to move pages around, for example, hold down on the page and slide it to where you want instead of repeatedly pressing the arrows That’s all I can think of for now, but I can’t wait for more updates to come out! Hopefully there will be more packs/layouts coming soon too!!

Good but tedious. I started using this tonight to create prettier Instagram stories. It's pretty easy to use and I like having fun designing but here are some requests: - Duplicate previous creations. I don't like having to recreate the wheel each time for projects that will maintain a consistent template. - I noticed that when the copy gets a little lengthy it won't allow me to edit it. I can't get my cursor to the end of the sentence to delete characters. I have to first make the font much smaller then resize so it's time consuming.

Love love this app but.... I had this app on my galaxy and had purchased many of the the different templates within the app and had used this for editing all of the Instagram stories. I love this app so much, it’s beautiful and easy to navigate but.... my galaxy was due for update to I decided to get the new iPhone only to realize now all my purchases are useless and I can’t restore them. How freakin ridiculous is that. I refuse to have to pay again. They need to make it where you can have an account for the email that you used so that you can easily use on any device that supports the app not just on the device it was purchased on.

Great app but.... Wish there was a way to swap out templates for another after selecting a picture when the first selected template isn’t a good fit with the picture once you see them together. Currently you have to delete the page and then select a new template then finally select the picture again. It would just be faster and more convenient if there was an option to continuously swap templates. ALSO! There should be a way to resize the white boxes on the templates. One size does not always work for every picture.

Adds so much to stories. I love the story telling that unfold allows and the ability to use multiple photos. I purchased extra sets on my phone and when I got a new phone they didn’t transfer over and that’s disappointing. Also, I wish text worked like IG where you can scale it to take up as many lines as you want and then shrink or expand it. Here, if you try to increase the size it automatically changes the format of the text box

Good potential, disappointing extras. I’ve been using Unfold for over a year. Overall, I have had a positive experience and purchased the in-app purchase for different layouts. What irks me is the new(ish) subscription service. I have already spent money on each of the packs, but now I have to subscribe just to access anything new? I don’t see the value in that, as I have already paid for over half of the features. I hope they come out with the options to purchase these features individually.

4 star!. One of the best editing apps I’ve used by bar when creating story highlights. Speaks volume if you’re interested in such a minimal, subtle theme when creating projects. The latest update just added new templates and fonts. I have the full subscription, but somehow wish there is a way to back up previous work to iCloud for IOS, or simply by creating an account. It would be a lot more convenient when switching devices. Hopefully in the next update to come, this will be deeply considered. Thanks UNFOLD team!

The Best Template App For Instagram Stories!. This app is one of the very few that I actually look forward to new updates and it’s fresh new releases. I love how the team takes suggestions into consideration to further improve the overall experience of the app + stay up to date with all of the latest photo and editing trends that occur within social media. Bought annual membership & it disappeared a week later. Last week I upgraded to Plus so I can access the nicer fonts for my business IG stories. I got a few days with Plus and today I opened the app and no longer have Plus. I never cancelled my membership. I clicked “restore purchases” and there is the wheel of death then after 2 minutes of spinning, the app has an error message saying “cannot connect to iTunes”. It seems like many others are having this issue too lately. I’m going to look into other apps now. This is not acceptable to pay $20 to upgrade then a week later claim I never upgraded and not refund.

More than one bio site please?. Can we please have the option have creating more than one bio site on our accounts? I have two different businesses going on and having separate bio sites for each one would be a big help. I’m not trying to re-create another account just to be able to have that flexibility. Nor do I want to look to another platform because I really love this one.

Easy as 1,2,3. This app makes it so easy to keep track of my instagram stories. I love how I can build in one project and just save the pages rather than saving the whole thing. It helps keep my brand together. I bought one of the classic packs and I do no t regret it they make such beautiful templates that I just had to. Already recommended it to a fellow photographer friend and they absolutely love this app!

Just what I wanted!. I had looked and looked for an app that would make a simple, classic collage for my Instagram stories. This app is EXACTLY what I was looking for! It gives a variety of templates that you can choose from whether you want one picture or multiple pictures. I also love that you can make an entire story before saving the images to your phone. Helps me keep track of what images I’ve already used and what order I want to post them in. Just awesome!

Clean, Fast, + Simple Design. It was my first day creating a story on Unfold! I collected all of my images and added them into the clean UI! It is SO much fun to use! I love the available fonts and style options! You can highlight and edit your text to make it stand out. There is a great color selection to make your design match with your brand. Looking forward to diving deeper to see the other stylized options Unfold has available —clean, fast, + simple!

On its way to greatness. I love this app! I don’t use it for templates so much as I use it like a private Instagram to make albums for myself. That being said, I think the app can greatly benefit from having some sort of account system so users could have the albums saved through the app. And also a way to quickly/efficiently reorder pages in the albums would be nice as well. And an autocorrect too.

Cool app - Would love to see advanced features. This is a cool app with beautiful design. I would love to see some advanced features and a higher resolution option than just 1080 if I’m paying for packs. I’ll probably buy a few more of the packs anyway but I’d like to see high res at some point. Would also like the option to just bundle all purchases for a better price. I’m curious to see where the creators take this app next.

the best. I’ve been using Unfold for months now. Recently, I downloaded a few other story building apps to give them a go. Unfold by far is the easiest to use. I have all of the templates and use each on a regular basis. However, I just got a new phone. When redownloading templates, I realized that the 2018 year in review collection was not reimported. Is it possible to get that back? There’s a couple templates from that collection I use regularly. Thank you!

Amazing App, Beautiful Design. First off I love this app. It’s design is appealing and their templates are definitely well worth the money. Their tools are pretty easy to learn and are very efficient. My only complaint/request is to be able to see the parts of the photos that are outside the frame, as partially transparent or otherwise. It’s really helpful for matching up a photo across multiple frames on a page for more abstract framing. I hope that made sense but overall, nice app, well done.

5 out of 5 stars!. I love this app. I have been using it since the beginning. I have been through ups and downs, even stuck around through weird updates. But this is a great app, easy to navigate. It is possible to use on post and stories. Easy to organize. I also bought Unfold + and I would recommend it if you have a business connected to an online platform. This makes everything more clean and accessible for your viewers online.

This app doesn’t work on iPhone 11. I have been using unfold for my instagram stories for a while and I loved the app. I have purchased many of the layout packs so I’ve put a little bit of money into the app. That is why I am so disappointed that it not longer works. Ever since I upgraded my phone to a the IPhone 11Max Pro, it will not save my images. It gives me an “error (-1)” when trying to export. This issue has persisted through two recent updates. I keep thinking an update will fix the bug but it has not. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall and I’m getting the same issue. I am so sad to lose my favorite app! Please get this bug fixed!!! Help!

Love this app, solves my stories organizing. Thank you so much for this app. It solves my problem of organizing my stories ahead of time for easy download and posting. I’m not a stories everyday person, so this is a Godsend. Plus all the templates are great!! If you could add a basic template with no border, that would be a request. That way I can drop in boomerangs and other videos that I want to fill the whole page — it would help to break up the story feed all in one app. Also, once you start a story sequence, can you switch around the pages order? If not, that would be a request. Finally, if you could expand the color palette for the backgrounds so that it functions like Instagram with a dropper tool and full color wheel, would be another requested feature. Thanks!!

Minor concern. I’ve been using this for two weeks and it’s perfect for minimalistic stories. UI and general functionality are great; however, after purchasing the CS2 pack, I noticed that although some template previews show rounded corner frames, the actual template did not have rounded corner frames. Slight disappointment but at least I did not spend a lot of money. On that note, I think in future versions you should consider making the frame dimensions and styles editable or at least ensure the template previews match the actual templates.

From awesome to annoying. I don’t like the new update where each time I want to create something I have to keep adding my pictures in order for the app to let me choose them. Before it would directly let me select any picture I wanted from my photos in my phone. It’s annoying because I have to keep closing the app and opening it to get the prompt to allow my pictures to be added. Also, right now it’s giving me a glitch where I can’t save anything I create. And I pay for the pro version so it’s becoming for of an unnecessary hassles rather than easy and fun like before.

packages/crop ratio. I love this app so much !! It’s amazing to use for stories to create a consistent timeline of posts. The way the app is organized is quick to figure out and easy to post straight to social media. I just wish it had more template options released more frequently. Also, the ration for the pictures is perfect for stories, but not to post on regular social media apps. If it had a square option, a 5:7 portrait mode, and 5:3 landscape mode option I would be more than happy to use it as I post without having to find another app to rotate and crop, etc.

Its missing this 1 thing.... Love the app, bought all the currently offered preset packs. However unless im missing something you cant easily push new cards you create all the way to the start of your story. I have like 10 cards i made already and i have to push all new cards 1 by 1 to the earlier part of my story. Pretty annoying. An extra button or two could fix that going in both directions. Otherwise so far so good!

Best Story App. I downloaded a few story apps but I only use Unfold because it’s the best. It adds such an interesting layer to my stories and makes everything look compelling. I’ve had many friends ask me what I’m using to create my stories. My stories feel more like an intimate, curated blog, than just photos. I love how you can tell a story using Unfold. I love Unfold soooo much I was very happy when they offered the subscription service. I am definitely a happy subscriber!

I want to higher but I cannot. To be honest this is a great little app to begin with but sadly this is where it ends. The free templates are nice but become generic in no time so buying additional templates is the next logical option, which is fair. But that’s where my problem 1 starts, it does not support family share. Both my wife and I have separate iCloud and Instagram account. She has already made bought multiple templates but I cannot use them because Unfold doesn’t have that option. I even sent a DM on Instagram but no response. This to me is horrible way to cheat. My second problem - picture quality on export. Wake up guys.

Keyboard still appear after done editing. I'm using IPhone 5S. This app works wonder at first but After unfold updated this app which can changing colors and can add text everywhere, the app kept get stuck. It stuck when I wrote some texts, after I done edit that text, my keyboard still appear obviously making me hard to edit another page because almost all other buttons covered by the keyboard. Was it only happened to my phone?

Could be great!. I want to love this app, but there are some big problems. The video resolution is TERRIBLE- it saves at such low quality, it’s almost embarrassing to post. I want to be able to move pictures/videos in the boxes - the app decides positions if the picture/video is larger than the box. If I don’t want a heading or text underneath a heading, there is no option not to have it - it just keeps the sample text. More fonts/color options for text would sure be nice. I think there is a lot of potential here for a great app, but it needs some work.

Best editing app ever. This app is so amazing it requires no payment to use a bunch of templates and a bunch of cool stuff like filters and amazing editing tools for pictures no charge they let you download your pictures to your device Postum straight from there to an Instagram or something and just an amazing app over all I really recommend downloading it it’s totally free if you want to you get in the app which shocked me no payment so that’s amazing totally recommend it

INCREDIBLE. for the price point, this is incredible for me as an independent artist to come up with different ways to promote myself, my music, and my content. i’m able to play “graphic designer” and “content creator” easily, it’s quite user friendly, and there are many ways to go about any design… and it’s actually fun. very grateful for this app. would highly recommend.

Great but Memberships ??. I really love unfold & I know that alot of apps are starting to dedicate themselves to only giving the best features to those paying for memberships. I really hope you guys will still allow customers to pay for items individually when they want instead of forcing them to upgrade to a monthly membership in order to get new stuff. I would hate to have to find another app because I really love this one out them all.

Awesome with minor requests. Overall it’s a fantastic app! Such good templates not a major drop in quality like canva. Got Unfold+ and no regrets. Only request I have: Please give the whole same template as shown. Something text and style of texts provided in template is missing when we use. We have to manually add it which is quite a extra step. Canva does it better in this regard. Please look into. Apart from that you’ll love it!

Frustrated - Updated. Everything was going great. I was using this app daily but suddenly three days ago, the app stopped uploading pics to templates. I’ve tried finding a way to contact app support and get help but it’s super difficult to find...if it’s even there at all, I still haven’t found it. A big bummer. :-( UPDATE: This issue has been resolved and I’m so happy to be able to once again be using Unfold daily.

Great! I have a request. So I’ve really enjoyed using this app. I’ve been putting together stories for Instagram and I’ve been pleased with the results, however, it would be awesome to be able to move a slide left or right to change the order. Right now, I have to delete and rebuild a slide in the correct order which is kind of time consuming. If I could drag and drop a slide into place, that would help tons. Other than that, this app is dope 🤘🏼

90% there for me. EDIT: Still looking to see carousel versions of some of these designs. Would make this app my complete go to if that was the case! Have been loving this app for a couple years now and pumped that y’all are making post sizes. Would love to see next steps after converting rest of the templates to posts to see a carousel version of these templates. The designs are great and would be fun to see them in carousel/seamless versions.

Amazing App - Pesky Bug. I've fell in love with this app a long time ago. I always love apps that can do more than one thing. I've deleted like 3 apps because this one covered it all. But, there has been this pesky bug in the "plan" section where you plan your Instagram timeline, and I have not been able to delete a photo from there for a very long time. I've communicated with support, they have been communicating with my very well, but it's been what feels like 3-4 month that I brought this bug up to them, and they still haven't been able to fix it. I'm writing this review to hopefully speed it up.
