Has potential. The app looks great but I'm waiting for my Spark amp. For some reason in 1st thing 1st keeps stating I'm not hooked up the my network

Spark amp by Positive Grid. Best small but loud practice amp I’ve ever had. With the Spark app it’s even better. It’s just so much fun to woodshed now. Loven it.

Spark amp. I love this little amp it has such a great sound For my music and my guitar It has nice bass and very clear mid and treble Endless tones to play with Also other user presets

Too buggy. I enjoy learning to play songs in the game mode, but every time I finish a lesson and press the continue button the app crashes and I have to reload it to continue. If they could fix the crashing I would give it 5 stars.

Eazy peezey!. Easy to navigate / fast switching Between presets

So far, so good.. I haven’t gone through a lot of the app, but so far it seems to be fairly well done. Not sure what the scoring on the exercises means (did I do well or did I do poorly). I’m sure it will become more clear as I progress.

Games don’t work. Love the amp and thought the educational amp could be cool. Great concept to gaming practice but unfortunately it just keeps freezing over and over again. It has not worked once. Super disappointed.

Nice App. This app is great to practice with! Highly recommend it for all levels.

Good fun while learning? That’s right!. Very nice app. Gets you involved and keeps you engaged. While all the time you are gaining good habits and learning guitar.

Guitar lessens sparked app. Very nice app with songs and chords that help you play various cover songs! Recommend this app!

Doesn’t work after the update. The program doesn’t work after the iPad update nor does the amp and good luck getting an answer or trying to undo an iPad update. Now I hate everything.

In love. With my Spark and all the apps I can use with it. It’s improving my playing and broadening my musical horizons. I love the sounds I’m getting both through the amp and my headphones. I’m just getting into the recording capabilities so I’ll check back once I’ve spent some time with that feature.

Accessible for blind but. Mainly in chords for songs - it would help if chord symbol can be read by VoiceOver as song progresses. Symbols are readable by VO as is but you ave to swipe to know next chord. I’ll look at other parts of app but so far most is accessible.

Suspicious.... Just downloaded it and it’s asking me if I want to start a trial, but it’s not telling me how much the subscription actually is. I don’t think I’ll be using this app at all. Rather disappointing, because this seemed to be the better one out of all the other apps I’ve looked at.

Most fun you can have practicing. Brilliant play-along feature, showing chords.

Just Starting. Seems to have a ton of useful features and practice abilities. Will update as I utilize

Great start to a useful tool. App is already very helpful as a learning and practice tool. Going forward, it has great potential to support technique development and practice playing with a “band”, even without the Spark Amp hardware (although that’s when it will really shine).

Probably one of the worst on the app store.. Doesn't care what notes I play, gives you credit for playing notes even if you dont have a guitar in your hands! Doesnt work with fret zealot. Horrible menu layout. I never leave bad reviews but this was bad enough to inspire me. Deleted and never looking back.

Not bad. Still trying to figure it out only had it for a few days but so far loving it

Eh. Overall a pretty decent app. Features are pretty cool. Looks kinda sketchy in my opinion but nothing concerning or worries me.

Love it. So far, easy to use and is advancing my guitar playing

Spark. The songs are great but the music makes me feel like I’m in a new world and I need to get better music for my next album

Good Way To Learn. This app along with the Spark amp is one of the best combinations to learn guitar. I think anyone wanting to learn guitar shouldn’t waist time getting started.

Inspiring and fun. I have been playing guitar for over 45 years. I love this app because it inspires me to learn new songs every day!

Spark 40 watt amp. Great sound for a small amp Love the app Acoustic guitar sounds really good on this amp The electric guitar a lot of different sounds to choose from. Hank Gil from Indiana

Needs work on time keeping. Over time clock needs work haven’t been able to use the app in over a month

Unbelievable. I’ve been playing only for about a year or so. I go through this routine where I play for a month or so then make upgrades to my guitar or start another project guitar or try another tube amp out of boredom... ADD.. Squirrel.. but I love the guitar so I always go back to playing.. Spark offers so much that it’s hard to grow bored. If your on the fence, do it, and go all in. Get the apps, subscribe, share.. it will make you a better player. You won’t regret it.

Found this recently …. … and do really enjoy the app. It expands my spark amp experience a lot. Somehow the app seems to be stalled in early 2021. The workout is stuck in April, the monthly challenge in May. Is this just my issue? Getting in contact with the developers from within the app is not implemented. Still a Great app! Enjoy it a lot.

Provides Decent Lessons. Provides Decent Lessons by analyzing music and songs to provide chords.

Great tool. Great too. To use when learning guitar!

Love this amp. I got my Spark about five months ago. I took it to my music teacher and he was so impressed with it that he purchased on. He now has four other students that have purchased one. I really like playing with the backing track. I have noticed marked improvement in my playing since I purchased the amp. I would highly recommend the Spark to anyone considering it.

Really great app!. Spark is the perfect app to learn all your favorite songs on guitar! Highly recommend it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍🏼👍🏼

Great Practice and Small Performance Amp. Besides my actual guitar, I couldn’t ask for a more perfect tutor, practice partner, or sideman.

Awful Effecive. This one really works well!

Expands the use of the Spark amp but still has some teething problems. I subscribed to this app as it has expanded my use of the Spark amp but it’s not perfect. I found it performed better when you had subscribed as opposed to using it when it was free, I find that I can load in my songs better than the other Spark app, I therefore have more songs to play. I like how some songs have been set up for the app as they give you the strumming patterns to use, I wish they were available for all the songs to add the enjoyment. I have encountered some buffering issues with the songs but I found that on the other Spark app so it might be my connection. I’ve also found a problem in progressing as you need pick points and it appears you have to complete tasks to get the points, this hampers your learning as I want to go through how you can use the app and I don’t think you should have to have pick points to find out how the app works when it comes to your playing. On the whole I like the app as it adds to my enjoyment of the Spark amp. I just hope there’s an update coming along to improve the functionality of the app as I think it’s a great addition to the Spark family.

Amazing. I can find any song with chords. That’s interesting.

It’s a MUST of you own the Spark Amp!. This app, combined with the amp, proves to be a powerful education tool. Not to mention, it’s just all around fun!

Take a closer look at Spark. Great app! I could write out endless reasons why you should to take a moment and check out this product. But to be completely open minded, you should check it out for yourself. You can thank me later!

Intuitive. The app/education side of Spark is just as intuitive as it’s amps.

Beginner. I have tried learning with you tube, dvds, and books. This software has helped me understand timing and taught me more up to date songs

Lots of good well organized lessons. Starting to explore the app but seems to have lots of good and well organized content.

Awesome App. Can’t wait to try this app with my new fret zealot!

Fun. Only just started using it. A lot of potential. Still need to figure out how to get games, etc. with solos and lead parts and not just strumming. Sorry I can’t be more helpful yet. I get “picks” for leaving my review. :) I’ll try to update later.

Still checking it out.. It looks like it has many good features. I will rate again when I have more experience with the app. Silvamorphis

Great app. I practice with this app at least twice a week. I have only ran into a few minor issues and chord discrepancies. The sound quality is great and there are enough backing tracks to keep me busy for a long time.

Finger Picking Fun!. I love this app especially for fingerpicking exercises. Something I struggled with a long time.

Another Subscription App?!. I will not support the subscription app model, ever. I like Positive Grid apps (a whole lot) but I won’t go here. If you switch any other apps I will no longer support those apps or your company. Just charge more upfront and be done with it.

No idea yet. Trying it out

Spark Amp. Pretty remarkable with the rhythm tabs but if they can only add the lead then it would be five stars!

Sparkingly..... Downloaded this app to mess around while my big console is tied up and I’ve had nothing but good things to say about it. It’s like they took the best parts of other Tab Software and polished it up. 🤘

Awesome. Gimme some points

Could do with more free bits, but capable. Works well, but subscription required for most .

Please. Boss the spark app is!😂

A star is born. Awesome guys thanks regards Paul

Takes me from learning to playing.. I have been using Yousician for a couple of years now and whilst it’s a great app the Spark took me straight into songs I wanted to play and I can do it and sound like I know what I am doing. It really helped me take the next step in my playing. I am excited to see where it goes. Also love that it has a lifetime plan so you pay once and play forever. Get it. I am sure you will love it.

Great. This app is must have

The best. Great learning tool ! Go for it !!

Spark with pro kit is awesome. Like having a teacher to jam with for every song. When my new Spark amp pre order is delivered, I will be set up for years of guitar learning with all the awesome features of the Spark amp with Spark pro kit software. Can’t wait.

Great learning tool!. Waiting for my Spark amp and tried this app. Really like it! Playing for less than a year and I find this very helpful and lots of fun.

Becoming a great app. I was saddened when riffstation got pulled from the App Store but soon after its demise this app came along. It keeps improving too! Keep up the good work positive grid and tweak this app into excellence just like your other apps!

Very cool, especially chord analysis. Being able to analyze the chord progression of a song on YouTube is really awesome.

Ya got me to try it. Not ten minutes into the 7 day trial before I start getting subscription service pushes. Thank you....no. U.g does something similar for half

RBorkert. Great practice amp. Small amp with a powerful punch.

Great way to learn. Nice app. Good way to learn

Spark spark!. Excellent app for the aspiring guitarist v

Unable to sign up. Unable sign up. Just gives me error code 10.

Spark. Excellent app

New user. Fun to use. They go in small increments which is helpful.

Wonderful app. Enjoy the learning curve

Awesomeness. Travel buddy

Musician. Brad P. Is a great musician!! Even The Rolling Stones are perfect !!!

Best App EVER!. This app is the best one that teaches properly!

Sparky app. Great app

Horrible. The songs freeze. I sign up and pay money, the app won’t give me pick points.

Love it. Love the App

Really nice app. I looove the sweat songs

Don’t work. When I play the game. It says that I am hitting the notes. When I am not even playing anything? I got the one week trial. I think I am going to cancel it before I get charged.

Great. Fantastic app

Connected. Works with fret zealot and my spark amp.

Df. Dd

Doesn’t work at all.. It doesn’t recognize the sound at all. Very buggy and a shameless copy of yousician.

Very inaccurate .... The very first song I tried was by the Killers “bright Side” The chords dictated are remotely correct but no where near the actual truth. This tune during the verse is heavily harmonics played on the guitar whilst this app is showing Mel bay style bar chords. Nice idea but ‘no’

Cool. Cool

Frustrated. Won’t keep my subscription settings. How in the world do pick points work? Not very intuitive!

Spark amp. Love it!

Great for review or practice.. Great for review or practice.

Excellent App. There is a mountain of great information here ! Love it.

Bueno. Cool

Ok. Just like the others out there. Good

Excellent Value. Unbelievable content and price for lifetime subscription.

Cool. Looks very nice

Its ok. A lotta features for cheap. I like it. For price its got a poop ton of features.

Spark ipad. I don’t know yet if any good,

There Are Much Better Options Available. The app uses Positive Grid’s auto chord transcription to teach you song. The problem with that being the transcriptions are often wrong. Also the app is some kind of YouTube rhythm game that doesn’t actually track your play. So it can actively tell you if you got anything wrong or right. In fact it can be fooled by hearing itself loudly. If you REALLY want to learn guitar nothing will stop you BUT paying for a subscription to this app WON’T help.

Lots of Feedback. I am still comparing this app to other existing guitar education apps that I’ve used for a while and will report back. However, here are my initial impressions and ideas to help Positive Grid improve Spark EDU. There is a lot of potential here — lots of music to play as “games” because it taps into YouTube Music and Apple Music (assuming you have downloaded the songs) for content. I’d love to see other content providers added like Amazon Music, Tidal, Spotify, etc. The app features four YouTube guitar education channels as “teachers” and various guitar education subjects (ie: guitar maintenance, finger style, rock, etc.) from countless other channels. The only problem is that I can’t bookmark more than the four channels presented as my teachers. I’d really like to add Justin Guitar and Marty Schwartz and anyone else I wish to choose if you’re relying on YouTubers for content anyway. I can search for their content, but it’s rather annoying to do so every time and be stuck seeing teachers that I’m not interested in on my lesson page. I would also like to be able to bookmark specific videos that I’d like to remember to watch, as well as saving the lessons I’d like to return to by being able to make my own folders and sub-folders. It would also be a nice option to get notified when new content is posted by my teachers. While using YouTube content is a positive, it also makes me wonder why you’re not creating your own unique lessons that are specifically made by Positive Grid, similar to the likes of Fender Play. I realize it takes work and money to do that, but you’re not giving people enough of a reason to want to download Spark EDU and pay for a subscription — without original content, people can simply head to YouTube and watch the content of the featured YouTubers there. The user interface for the “game” area could use a little bit more polish in terms of how the lesson tabs are presented on the screen. Spark EDU oddly has the tab squeezed into less than half the screen, which makes it difficult to read and follow rather than using the entire screen real estate like Yousician and Gibson, which have the best UI examples on the App Store for the way gamified guitar lesson tabs are presented. It also doesn’t tell the player the names of the notes they are playing as they scroll, which seems odd and is a lost opportunity to teach people to recognize the notes they’re playing. It would be helpful to have settings where the user can select the scrolling “finger” and background colors too, which would help people with colorblindness and other vision issues, as well as anyone else. I hope PG will improve these aspects of their game design. I’d also like to see alternate choice to have more traditional tabs on a staff presented like Fender Play and Ultimate Guitar’s (pro section) — and the ability to save as a pdf and print the staff tab notation would be handy (which no app currently supports). Its also a bit odd that PG doesn’t seem to officially support its own hardware/software in this app such as Bias 2 or the Spark amp. I’d also like to see official support for Roadie 2 tuner (where I can change/save my tuning presets easily every time I change songs that require alt tuning if the R2 device is connected to your app), and other popular hardware like iRig and the soon-to-be JamStack 2. They are competition, but it would encourage many more people to use your software and perhaps sign up for the Pro version. There is also a neat point system to unlock content for completing actions and practicing is a unique feature that no other apps has and is a great motivation tool. I’d love to see this points program extended to have more ways to earn points and well as the ability to earn physical rewards (like PG branded guitar maintenance tools from Music Nomad, picks, strings, PG pedals and amps, and even guitars!) in addition to more digital rewards (not just for Spark EDU but to redeem in ANY of Positive Grid’s software!). There is a lot of potential with the Spark EDU app, but the app needs more refinement in its UI/UX and features, as well as unique reasons to get people to join as pro users. If PG works on all of the above, this will be a killer app!

GoGuitar is worth every penny. Thank you.. Great for exploring new music for a beginner.

Sign up doesn’t work. Can’t get past the sign up screen. I get an error with no explanation of what caused the error.

LOVE IT!!. Learn guitar, learn your favorite songs and a built in tuner for free!! PLEASE ALLOW us to set tuner to 432hz and it will be complete.

Poetnchains81. Awesome

Doesn’t work to well on the iPad!. In the tutorial, the text doesn’t fit the narrow YouTube window! You can only see the center section of text. The entire App is difficult to figure out how to use if you’re new

Spark Amp. Excellent amp
