good app, used to be Great. I have used this app for a few years at this point. I have read a lot of good novels and comics in that time. Since this is a Chinese app there are a lot of Chinese authors and artists that make up the majority of the contributions. That isn't really a problem for most stories, but some translation jobs are better than others. That is probably due to certain words/expressions not translating properly and is for the most part not a problem when reading. The app does have a "leveling" system that doesn't play much into the reading part, but directly affects how much voting power you have when deciding on new serialized works or the current rankings of "hot" novels/comics. It used to be an amazing system: guaranteed EXP every day, and 3 fast passes to use on chapters. But now experience is harder to get without paying (which is not a problem if you just want to read) and the fast pass system has been changed to a genre+format basis. The new fast pass system limits how you can use the fast pass, and this is my biggest complaint. But it forces me to read outside of my wheelhouse when I don't want to waste a fast pass I otherwise wouldn't use. I wish the daily login always gave me +5EXP and a daily pass again. T.T

Great stories, but…. I love this app. It really does have some great stories. But I agree with a lot of reviewers in saying that it is way too expensive. I’ve only been reading for a few weeks and have already spent more than $100. Again, the stories are amazing and I’m currently following over a dozen stories but for the amount I’m spending I could easily buy a dozen actual books. The worst part is that no matter what story I choose they all only have enough free chapters to get you hooked and and they never seem to open up new free chapters later on. Your only choice if you want to complete the story is to spend anywhere from several months to a year for one story at the rate of 3 fast passes a day or spend a fortune to read it more quickly. I understand that the authors have to support themselves but it would be nice if there were better ways to get new chapters. It is simply too expensive for most people to truly enjoy this app to the fullest.

A must get for avid readers!. I’ve been using this app for a few years now, with hardly no complications and reasons to be dissatisfied with. A list of the things I wish where different was the currency. The first sixty or so chapters of a book are free, but then, you have to start unlocking them with fast passes and or coins. The coins are hard to get and are usually bought with real money, the fast passes on the other hand, you can only get three a day by completing small goals and logging in. And that’s what bugs me. Only having such a small amount of passes to read the next chapters of my book. If it weren’t for that, I would give it a full five stars. But other than that, I would say this app is amazing and well created. It has books that are translated, books that are original and even comic books in which you could read. This is a life saver app for me and my avid reading. So I do recommend getting it. Thank you.

I want to give 5 stars... but. This app has AMAZING!!!! novels and comics/mangas. However, it is almost not worth the money. I love love reading, and I especially love binge reading. I bought the membership which isn’t too bad of deal except the 10 free daily coins aren’t really worth it. The purchase of 800 coins for $7.99 is probably the only good reason for the membership. I think the app layout is great, with needing only some minor enhancements just to make the User interface more friendly. However if you don’t have a decent amount of money to spend on this app, it’s not really worth it. I hope they decide to change it to a membership more like the Wattpad membership or allow an easier way to obtain coins for free. The competition for this app is Wattpad and Webtoons. In comparison of money-wise and story-wise. Both of those app rank far more above this app. I understand that helping the authors is one of the reasons for this, however Wattpad has the exact same thing. They just have a better way of rewarding the Authors and making it simpler for the Readers. I really really wanted to give this 5 stars. But with both the membership and there being no simpler way to obtain coins. I’ve taken off 2 stars, for a 3 star rating. Truly unfortunate, this app could take 1st, but at the moment, they’re just not worth it.

GREAT!. I read Webnovel every day. There is a story for everybody and a chance for everybody. If you are just there to read, you can support your favorite book, and in return, you are rewarded. You also can support new books so they can gain traction and get more views. Again, you are rewarded for this, so everyone has a reason for supporting. The only downside for me personally that I can think of right now is IT IS SO HARD TO GET TO LEVEL 4!! ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY UPDATE THE APP TO GIVE LESS XP, AND WHEN YOU FIND A WAY TO GET XP, IT DOESN'T WORK!!! Look, Webnovel, I love your app and wish to support more creators on it, but the daily post a comment and get 2 or more likes to get 15 XP is dumb. Instead, it should say have a comment get 2 or more likes to get 15 XP, or maybe even 3 likes for 10 XP. I don’t care what the like amount or XP amount given is, just get rid of the post a comment, because it means that my old posts don’t matter no matter how many likes they get. Membership is not worth it. I don’t particularly like to leave reviews aside from stars, however I’m slightly aggravated with this app. I downloaded this because of an ad I saw on Facebook. I’ve had WebToons and WebComics for quite some time now and absolutely love the both of them. From what I’ve seen most web comic apps are fairly similar. My biggest complaints about this is the fact that the membership STILL requires the reader to pay coins to unlock episodes. I subscribe to WebComic for $6.99/month and that gives me unlimited access to all the comics. Webtoons offers top up similar to this app, but they only charge 5 coins per episode instead of the 13 coins Webnovel charges. It’s expensive and I’m currently only able to read one comic due to the cost of these coins/unlocking. I was willing to subscribe, but if I’m still having to pay the same amount of coins to unlock the episodes as it is to not subscribe it’s not worth it. The only perk I’ve seen is 10/coins per day. That’s not even enough to unlock one episode of the comic I’m reading.

Good When you’ve got time or money. Go to Wattpad.. This app has tons of stories and mangas of all kinds. It was great while I was on a promotional, but it gets super expensive very quickly. It’s honestly a lot like Wattpad in format, but with comics available. Big concerns: 1. Why are fast passes ever genre specific? Getting 3 a day is great until you realize they don’t work on the book you’re reading. I have 18 free passes but none work on the novel I’m reading. I should be able to get through more than 1 chapter a day (takes about 5 min to read). At that point I might as well read a cereal box. 2. Why are chapters so expensive? Being able to only read 3-4 chapters for $5 is crazy when you consider the fact that they are often short and not edited. I spent $7, which is the price of a normal published ebook, to read 1/5 of my novel (including all the “free passes” I earned at the same time). I came for Under the Oak Tree Riftan’s POV, and they totally lied about release dates for book 2. I’ve only read 1/2 of 1 other novel so far, which I like a lot, but I don’t think I’ll continue. It’s too frustrating for someone who likes to binge read like me. As others are saying on the app itself, it’s turned 100% into a money game. I just hope the artists themselves are getting a good chunk.

Fallen from greedy mediocrity to drooling for money.. I’ve been reading on Webnovel for 2 years, or at least trying. In the beginning, it was a bit ridiculous how much they tried to squeeze pennies, then dimes, out of readers for every chapter. The chapters were released in an agonizingly slow manner because the poor translators got paid per chapter, and I imagine some other complicated pay structure. Then they kept squeezing tighter and tighter until you really can’t read more than 3-4 chapters a day without putting in more money than most people spend on groceries in a month. The thing that they haven’t considered, which makes the most sense, is a Kindle Unlimited type of set up. One flat rate for renting their materials for a month. Why should I have to pay for limited access when I don’t even own the material in the end anyway? (There’s no downloading a whole book here.) If they make people feel happy and at home with a subscription service, or a way of buying a complete novel (that you can actually own), that would make people happier to give out their money to support this company.

New world. I was bored on Facebook and the Webnovel ad was on my feed. Started reading the snippet of a book and was excited to read more. Had never heard of web novels before so this app opened a whole new world for me. I might spend a more than I would on a regular book, then again, these are not regular books. Great job and thank you for the introduction. Not all apps are the same (have looked at others) and I can say that your quality is top notch. *Few things people need to know… 1. This is where people write to share their words and make money. If you are looking for everything to be free, not going to happen. The whining is appalling and unnecessary. 2. If the author is not going to finish a book, they need to not have an opportunity to release more “half done” works. A contract should be in place so the readers are not hanging by a thread. 3. The comics, which I cannot seem to get enough of, when they are not complete do not say complete. I have wasted money reading only to find out they just stopped. Please note that 2 and 3 do not happen all the times and their are ongoing nooks and comics. I have found some gems that ended abruptly (comics) or no update for months (novels). I have shied away on some books and comics that are ongoing due to this fact. I can also say that I have read books on this app that are better and more in depth than the paper novels I own.

The Spirit Stone Problem.. This app has great stories, an interface that is pleasing to the eye, a pretty decent system in which it uses to decide on the most popular books and what books people want to see next, however, there is a large flaw that makes this great system fail. And that flaw is the overly greedy and overpriced Spirit Stone system. For almost all of the popular, reccomended, or highly rated books, Webnovel has employed a system upon it called premium. It requires the reader to use Spirit stones to unlock and read chapters, but if you want to read a few premium books at a time, you will need to either make several fake emails and invite them to earn a decent ammount, or spend money to gain them at a decent rate. The alternative methods they give you such as checking in, voting power and energy stones, and watching videos aren’t enough to read all the books you would want. This is the overarching problem with this, and this apps intial lure is the freeness of the whole process, and if you don’t want to spend 25 bucks a month to read your favortie books, then I don’t reccomend getting invested into this app.

Not worth it anymore. This app used to be the best application to read translated and web novels out there, but now it feels like every other over priced app out there and is turning into EA. I downloaded this app and had been a part of it since the beginning. It allowed one to buy, and gather the resource to unlock chapters, though it still had random ads. You could gather and horde resources for weeks to binge read a novel you were behind in or one that updated weakly. When the first major update that removed the random ads everyone cheered. Then slowly over time the amount of resources you can horde became less, the chapter prices became more over priced. This continued till they began making the resources expire after only a few days of non use making it just as demanding as a idle game. Finally now the chapters for books are so over priced that you can buy a physical copy for a fraction of what it costs to read it here on this app. The resources are mostly only bought with money and the resources that are received daily for a free chapter are for random books one may never like and any resource you get that is useful expired in 2 days making it so that you can only read the book you really want once a week or pay the steep prices per chapter

Surprising good, but...... This app was actually good. I came across it due to an accidental Facebook post. I’ve been reading now for a week and I only have a few issues. The point system doesn’t make any sense. Do you get points because the book is new?Why do books that are over a year old still have high coin cost? shouldn’t those cost come down. For example I am reading a chapter book that has over 1100 chapters, how however I am only 200 chapters in and I have already spent $25. On average you can buy this book in the store for that cost. Why does it cost so much to read these books? If you could change the points system to where chapters cost maybe three points instead of seven or eight that might ease the burden of paying for these chapters. Also I noticed that the further into the chapters you get the more they cost. Again as I said I’m only 200 chapters it so why did the cost of the chapters go from 7 to 8 is it going to be a one point increase every 100 pages? I have paid for the trial(Which was discounted from 9.99 to 7.99 ) for 500 coins. Add the $10 purchase for 500 points and the individual purchases of 50 points for a dollar this is becoming quite expensive and I don’t know if I can continue to read after this book. It’s obvious that the goal is to get money instead of telling stories so could we try to focus on telling the stories and not how much money were making.

Cheap App. This app has potential, but as I’m from Korea where lots of apps like this have a premium interface and the writing quality is very high, I have to say this is a cheap waste of time and there are many stolen works on Webnovel. People take translations from Wattpad, from pirated sites, from Webtoon Canvas, from basically anywhere you can find comic and novel content without getting caught. I am used to nice apps that have certified copyrights and have experience publishing on major platforms before that do things the legal way with all rights reserved, so I am going to disclaimer this harsh review by saying I will give you the five stars just so this can be seen. Many authors who claim original content have stolen from other sites, so do not follow or support any author even if you read their works. If you see something is stolen, go report it to the rightful owner and get it taken down. I will try my best to find stolen works here, but the writing is cheap and poor quality and wrong credit is given everywhere so it is very hard.

Silly stupid and ….wait this one is good.. Am Amateur Novel writing location that has a wide variety of genres and stories original and or cliché. More often than not it is a fun location to read ideas for my own dungeons and dragons game to add any fantasy quirks that I find unique and not too overpowered for the party. However you find a gem every once and awhile that, while not a perfect novel, is incredibly well thought out and entices you to read all of the book for once and not just the first 100 chapters or so. I love going through and just taking in the fun, silly, dramatic, thrilling, or even epic creations that arise from this site. All I can say now is don’t expect perfection, but I recommend these readings as a fun distraction whenever you find yourself waiting or bored in the day to day. Until you find that gem, then you just read until you don’t feel like buying more points and go to daily ticket waiting.

Great App with Incredible Books Written by Outstanding Authors. I very different reading app…The novels and comics are top notch. The best book I have read in a long time is in the app. It far surpasses the Twilight series. More in line with the Harry Potter books just an entirely different type of fantasy novel. It has everything! Violence/abuse (all types), killings/murders, treachery, treason, heart ache, comedy, with a miserly love story smack in the middle. There was never a second of slow/boring chapters. It’s definitely an adult thriller, fantasy novel. With every type of fantasy character you could dream of. Though the name might make people think it’s another trash werewolf novel. Every book/comic in this app seems to be written by very talented mostly unknown authors. I figure it must be hard to get a book published and gain notice due to all the great writers on here. Some of these authors put renowned authors to shame! Costs are reasonable. Cheaper then most reading apps, with more ways to read for free then I’ve ever seen! ,

It was awesome but now it’s over. This used to be one of the best applications I ever used. I was spending hours reading every day and it never bothered me investing money in order to support my favorite authors and the translators that made it possible for me to read these books. During this past year, a great number of changes took place. I was not pleased with all of them but I kept using the application without complains. But these last six months, a great number of books were/are suddenly dropped (they are already complete but they simply stop translating them) although they were/are very popular. They arbitrarily decide to stop translating books without ever offering a single explanation. Many loyal readers are outraged. You might have already spend 50$ and more to read a single book and never read the ending. This is not professional at all and a major turn off for every decent reader. So if you decide to download this app, be warned and only read the books that are already described as COMPLETE because it’s really a sin to spend years (some of these books have more than 1,500 chapters) and money to read an awesome book and ending up reading part of it. Hopefully a decent application will appear soon to cover the gap that Webnovel created.

Automatically Signing Me Out While I Am Reading. The app repeatedly signs me out while I'm reading, and then refuses to let me sign back in, so I lose all of my chapter progress and sometimes the book entirely. The timing of the automatic signing out is really inconvenient because I'll be able to vote on a story, but by the time I get to the next chapter I'm just... signed out. And when I try to sign back in, it refuses to let me. I will type everything correctly, click the "sign in" button, and it loads. And loads. And loads. And I still have the option of clicking everything else, so I know that the app is at actually signing me in. So, when I finally request a password reset, because the problem might just be me, I try to sign in, and now it tells me that my account is suspended? Like, why would you not let me sign in, let me change my password, just to say, "Oh, never mind. Well just delete your progress AND your ability to sign in at all! Have fun!" This is really frustrating and I just want to be able to read during quarantine, but all of these problems just wont let me. Please fix this problem or at least tell me how to fix this.

Potential Downfall. This app has been great up until now besides the being forced to “read” a genre I care nothing about due to the daily reading passes not being an any novel/comic option. I get that they are doing the forced genre thing to make us readers try novels/comics outside our norm, but I have specific genres that I like and specific ones I don’t. They have now made the reading passes even less important with some novels/comics now requiring two or more passes. The reading passes were meant to be there so that I didn’t have to spend coin on novels/comics not be forced to now purchase more coins just so I can read my favorite novels/comics. This is a huge downgrade to an app that I have enjoyed for a couple-ish years now. The translation quality of some novels/comics have also seen a downgrade with some being almost incoherent and jumbled. Maybe get some cleaners that will go in and cleanup the writing for those authors who’s main language isn’t English and have had basically Google translated novels/comics to a different language. Please bring back the necessity for only one reading pass per chapter so we can continue to enjoy the novels/comics from your app. They have also done away with the voting on up and coming books to further translated that gave a reading pass. Those were fun to read and see if anything caught my eye. This app is turning into not being worth it anymore

Great app and minimal problems. The app is easy to navigate and I have no issues with it. If I get a glitch for example where my library is empty I just have to log out then log back in to fix it which hardly ever happens maybe twice. Errors or glitches like that can be annoying but it happens with anything that updates like iPhone updates screw my phone up sometimes where I can’t fix it so I am fine as long as it is an easy fix especially when it hardly happens. I don’t really notice the glitches as like I said it happened maybe twice for me since I got it for a year but wanted to talk about it to share what I know since others may rate it poorly for those points so make your own decision based on that or test it out yourself. I don’t really know much what to say besides it works great for what I want and makes it easy to find new things I like to read.

It’s okay. I had no idea about the spirit stones to read until I got 370 chapters into this amazing book. Pretty bumped that I have to either pay to read what I thought was free or do all this extra stuff to earn stones just to read. I’d rather just go out and buy books in person than try to figure out this app. Update: I made this review a couple weeks ago and now that I’ve had more time to try to accomplish the things that earn spirit stones I actually really like this app. It’s not that hard to earn stones and I don’t always read a lot. The only thing that I still don’t like is the fact that I have a hard time banking enough spirit stones to read for long periods of time. Completing the tasks is fine if I’m only really 3 or 4 chapters a day but there are some days where I want to read 30 to 40 chapters and I never have enough spirit stones to do that. Other than that I really like the app and I do my best to log in every day to earn stones even if I’m not reading that day just so I have extra when I want to read.

It’s good, just a little grummy. If you’re new to the app then be careful with how you use your passes (tho it they change things… idk). The cost of a chapter is based on the word count, so using passes on 6 coin chapter gets you less than say you use one on a 12 coin chapter. Try to read novels that help the reader this way with higher cost chapters… usually you get more a content worth of stuff. Personally I wished they used Ads a lot more. Compared to WEBTOON (who does have a good view base) where they coin system that I find is more reader friendly, and you use them only on getting yet to be released chapters. But that makes it harder on the comic writer (those with out patrons). Really if you want the typical good Gamer type novel that is like Slime-San then go find the Free Ant Novel. Conspiracy theory: I think Crunchyroll may have taken a good amount of its story type for their Spider… at least the early episodes of the Spider anime.

I like it but there’s some flaws. I really enjoy reading some of the books on this app. However there are a few times that I have used points to buy fast passes and I never received them. Some of the fast passes I purchased on other times we’re only good for specific books that I had no intention of reading. How is that fair. So I feel like I wasted points. It doesn’t seem like there is a way to earn coins. When you check in daily it gives you points but not coins. I also noticed even though I’m checking in daily it would not register that I actually checked in. I did purchased a membership however even though I’m checking in daily, my daily check-in‘s are not showing all the time. Which affect the extra coins you can earn with the membership. This of extremely frustrating. I have spent a lot of money purchasing coins. This is getting very expensive. I feel there needs to be a way to earn coins. Also I’m not getting any free daily chapters to read any longer like I used to get. Two times now I have purchased coins that I never received. I contacted my bank to get a refund as I was instructed from the app however that didn’t happen either. So I feel like I’m loosing money. Please fix these problems.

80% Behind a Paywall. I downloaded this app after seeing absolutely ridiculous (and often times inappropriate) ads for it, to read and see what it was actually like. In terms of app design, and usage, it’s very nice! It looks good, it’s easy to use, and has a dark mode. Unfortunately, all of the novels are behind a paywall. In a book that had over 1000 chapters, I could only read to chapter 19 before getting locked out of the book. I completely understand wanted to support the translators, but having to pay for chapters that have been out for years (as it tracks when it was posted) feels dirty to me. It didn’t make me want to buy coins, or motivate me to even read any other novels. With such a system, I deleted the app. If you are going to keep a system like this (which I understand to a certain level, there are people that need to be supported behind these stories), do it better. Do something similar to other sites, where newest chapters are behind a paywall, but eventually become free. But not this current system.

Why?!?!. I have been reading on this app for about 3 years and have experienced a lot. That’s not why I’m writing this review. I’m writing to ask why did you do update 7.0.0? It changed the entire app. The ui(?) was just fine the way it was, you changed it in such a way that it is a struggle for people who don’t like to read in dark mode 24/7. It is pretty much in dark mode all the time even with light mode on. Maybe I could get used to it, but I probably won’t. Also the new logo makes webnovel seem like a comic reading website. Also you changed everything except the reading experience which I’m thankful for but still this was a garbage update and a waste of money. Now a personal problem, why does pretty much everything expire, I can understand the passes that let you get free chapters but why points? It is so hard now to be able to earn points and get cosmetics! My little rant is now over, the important thing to know is that the old Webnovel is better and this update is garbage, especially the logo! You might as well change the name to webcomic cause it no longer looks like a novel reading website.

A shadow of its former self. As my title says this app is a shadow of its former self. It has become so heavily focused on profit that it’s becoming unusable. A long time ago you used to be able to watch an ad to unlock a chapter which was awesome for me, then there was a member ship that was a feature for like 2 months where you could read unlimited for like 15 dollars a month,you would also earn fast passes to be used on any locked chapter you would like to unlock. But both of those are gone now they give you genre specific passes or even book specific passes and I haven’t received one yet for a genre or book I actually read so it’s just becoming a joke. But even with all that aside the book selection is also becoming a joke they go through waves where they promote a certain story type and it feels like they suppress everything else until they switch again. Long story short the monthly membership is a joke if you read more than 40 or 50 chapters during that month, the payments for buying chapters is a joke 50 bucks got me like 170 chapters and while that might sound like a lot the majority of stories on the app are 280 plus. Devs if you are reading please help us, reading is my passion and I honestly like this app but it feels like you are making it harder to enjoy, bring back some of the older features I feel like it would make a lot of people happy.

Worst App Ever. I was really excited when I downloaded this app and started reading the stories and comics, but was quickly disappointed. The cost to read one chapter is ridiculous considering most times the chapter is incredibly short and you get no plot development at all. This wouldn’t be horrible if there were more ways to earn coins or fast passes, but unless you spend money, you either have to save up your passes and coins or be satisfied(or rather dissatisfied) with reading the equivalent of a page worth of story a day. And even if you do try to earn ways to read chapters, the app is so glitchy that you’ll sit through ads only to realize you never got the fast pass it promised. Also, when the app updated, it erased all the progress I made in my stories and all the coins I had saved up. This meant I couldn’t even read a new section every day, I had to earn enough passes to get me to a point where I was actually progressing in the story. I am often left frustrated and I feel like the only way you can enjoy this app is if you’re willing to spend money, which I can’t. Total waste of time. Better apps like Webtoon out there.

Great App with Minor Issues. You have great selections of translated novels & originals along with web comics. As a user who has been using this app for over a year I’ve see many changes. I really enjoy using this app I like how interactive and gives individuals a chance to write their own novels and get paid for it if it gets popular enough. The minor issues I have are for one, some minor glitches with the current update. Webnovel please address them accordingly and I hope you read people’s review. Alright so the switch from stones to coins (I have absolutely no issues with that because as you mentioned it would be the same just the name change) but you took away the bonus (stone/coins) we actually enjoy that incentive when we purchase (stones/coins) to read (please consider it and bring it back), another thing is when you check-in you get experience points to level up (I’m currently lvl 7 & I haven’t seen any perks any difference from 5-7) can give us coins instead or mix it up not just experience points. I would prefer to receive coins because with the fast pass I can only read 3 chapters free which is nice however,(by the way you have to use same day) I can’t save the coins. Anyways keep up the good works I enjoy your app I just have minor issues.

Currently taking a nose dive. The app is clean and they have a wide selection of works, the categories are kinda vague it would be nice if the search function worked better. Honestly, the app is very nice and seems to be taking it fairly slowly when it comes to forcing us to pay to read. My main problem is that ads were recently introduced on every page, they are still small for now but I read in the dark and they are all like bright suns in my eyes at night, it’s super annoying, especially with how bad the quality has been on the works being pumped out, it feels like it wasn’t a person but a program that translated them not to mention the quality of the story itself. The classics are great and they’ve bought solo leveling so that’s going for them, but I doubt they’ll have an easy time in the future especially if they don’t start grabbing up some of the better pieces or figure something out about the quality of their works. TLDR good app, now has ads, stay away from voting polls the new stuff is trash

Don’t like the privilege system. There privilege system is a Scam. If you really enjoy a book and want to purchase privilege on it don’t do it until the first of the month. If the writer is 36 chapters ahead you end up spending a LOT of money to catch up. I spent 50 bucks to get caught up because I was really interested in the novel. I even pay monthly as a vip on top of this. All of a sudden I find out by customer service that if I had purchased it on the first I would have it for 30 days. However, regardless of WHEN you purchase the 30 day privilege those 30 days end on the 1st of each month. Like... really? I just spent 50 bucks on a 30 day privilege I was only able to use for two days. I’m a vip, shouldn’t you do things special for the vip customers? Like the privilege doesn’t expire? However vip doesn’t even have any perks what so ever! My suggestion if your going to get into this one is be patient and wait for the chapters to come out regularly. The privilege isn’t permanent (though it should be with how much they charge) and there customer service is a joke. They take advantage of their customers, know it, and honestly don’t care.

Spirit coins. This app was great at first, not everything was free sure. But it did give you a chance to earn way to read locked episodes, like daily check ins and other things, the problem I had with was when I saved up my free spirit coins to use on a story I was reading, when I caught up I have extra spirit coins so I thought I’d save those for later. Little did I know that those coins expire, so when I found a new story I wanted to read with it, the app have expired +200 spirit coins, this would be on me, I probably should I spend my coins when I got the first notification, I just didn’t have a story to spend them on. Sense than every time I check in I don’t get spirit coins for some reason? I think those were switched out for points? If you watch a add you can get 1 fast pass which lets you read one episode of your story or comic. You can only watch one add a day though so if you are trying to binge or catch up on a comic it makes that much harder. Yes I love the comics I’m reading, I have tried looking for them on other platforms because of this problem with the one a day if you can’t buy spirit coins. I’m sorry if this review made little sense but the point if they added a add system, where if you watch a add you can get spirit coins or fast passes it would be much more helpful.

Great app but customer service and in app purchases not so good. I love the plots and drawing of all the comics that I’ve been reading. I also love that it kind of limits how much you can read (3 chapters a day for free) so that you don’t get addicted. However, there are a few mistakes. For one, the purchasing of coins is very risky and stressful to me. A while ago I bought 250 coins twice which came to a total of $10. This purchase went through immediately and I had no problem. But, about 6 hours ago today I bought 1000 coins for $20 and it didn’t work so well. I waited 1 hour and still didn’t receive the coins. Whenever I went to the help center it said to contact their support team and gave me an email. I emailed them immediately explaining my problem and even showed a screenshot of my purchase history as proof. They didn’t respond so I emailed them again (about 2.5 hours after the original email). Still no response. I even ended up contacted them through instagram. I am currently still wait for a response and for my coins. Although I am disappointed that my $20 have gone to waste I will continue to support this app as the comics are amazing. 😊😘❤️

Great app has its flaws. So since the opened the original author section I’ve fallen for quite a few but to many of them use naruto. Some others have spoken about unlocking chapters its obviously flawed. Especially seeing how the translator can decide how many spirit stones are needed to unlock one. Some authors have decided to make a single chapter worth 10-15 stones. That is absolutely ridicules a hundred chapters all of which take about that many. They should just get rid of the system all together and implement a system where you buy spirit stones to purchase the next novel that’s coming early for the read. Or you can vote for things with spirit stones as well. Now with this new update I don’t know if it’s the update or my phone but nothing is uploading I check the app to see I have six messages but I go on it and nothing is loading at all. Some of the LN on here as well don’t load either. So they definitely need to fix these issues.

Good but needs upgrading. I just got it I can’t A lot wife I didn’t think but it is a very great app if you tried to watch or read some steamy romance that you can’t read on WEBTOON then you should definitely get it. But it could be a place for cute stories like Your ears are showing! That’s a cute story or you could go for beastly romance like beast and beauty. But on some stories they always have a lock like web tune but the difference between the two is web tune gives you actual schedule wow web novel a clear schedule. What is one comic or web novel I wanted to read but after I clicked read I had to automatically use coins and I don’t think that’s really fair to the reader if they can’t afford it especially when the daily coins that you give can be expired. But I also think that when they’re trying to lock chapters until every week they should at least give us a warning or tell us other two and then to purchase the comic or novel they could just give us a detailed schedule

The stories are good...but I’m not getting what I paid for. I really like the app and the book I’m reading is wonderful. The problem is, I’m not getting what I paid for. I paid the subscription but did not receive the 500 pts, nor did I receive the 10 daily that should amount to 300 throughout the month. Also, just now, I checked my point balance, which was 14, before I went to check in to claim my free Fast Pass. After claiming it, I went back to check my balance and the point balance was 1. I lost two chapters of reading, by this mishap. Does the “free” fast pass charge us? So then I tried to use my fast pass to at least read one more chapter, and it said I had no fast pass left. I’ve spent a lot of money on this app and I really enjoy it, but I cannot keep supporting it, if I do not receive the points I actually pay for. As is, in a book with 1200+ chapters, you already end up paying about $200 for one book. I really don’t see why I am not even getting the points I paid for, when this book alone is already making you so much money. I really hope I get the points I paid for, or I will be forced to abandon a great book and withdraw my membership.

Please added a tech support spot on the app. I joined in July 2020 and I really like this app but I have noticed some issues which seem to be fixed or are being fixed. some of the pages in comics won’t load so it’s either a blank page or black. It’s hard to find somewhere to get tech-support . I don’t want to report a comic I just need help. Sometimes comics shows that I am off-line but I’m able to see other comics I’m not off-line there’s nothing wrong on my side. I wish there was a way to get rid of the book recommendations or the fast passes for books I only got this app to read the comics but I can’t switch off the books. It can be frustrating when a comic says that it’s completed but they didn’t complete the comic it just ends, because you have to pay money to keep on reading or wait and then you end up spending so much money on this one comic and it’s a let down. They are really great reads and emotional stories on here and it’s a good place to read.

Only worked once. The app worked the first time I tried it, to read more of a novel I had started in an ad, but now that I’ve gone back to try to read more, it’s either a glitch or a scam, but it won’t load the novel any time I click on it, and only has a circle loading in the corner, but even when that finishes, it starts over and goes around and around again and again. You can’t even go back to try again without quitting the app and restarting it, and the same thing just happens again when I reopen it and again try to click on the book. The only thing you can click on at all is the circle itself, which brings you to the page where you can buy fast passes. It doesn’t even tell you if you need that to read even your first book, and just having the page loading over and over when you try to get back to it is useless, to either understand what needs to be purchased or why on earth it keeps loading the circle over and over. I’ve wasted so much time letting it load and load and closing and reopening the app. Very disappointing.

Great!. The only reason I did not give this a 5 star smearing is because I’ve ended up spending a bit of money to read my novels, which are WONDERFUL btw. You buy tokens to unlock chapters after the book had drawn you in lol. Sometimes, if the book is still ongoing and in a contest, the author can award people free coins. You also can earn free ones by checking in and watching ads, playing games within the app, the time you spend reading, etc. This app is like being in a massive book club! You can write comments and whatever you want after chapters or even paragraphs. It’s awesome! I was not a fan of reading at all before I got into this, and now I can’t get enough!! P.S. I thought it would be terrible to start to read a book that’s not finished, but I found if they have a bunch of available chapters, I won’t want to stop and I just don’t sleep. This makes me stop, and keeps the excitement going!

Why had it gotten worse?. It was fine when I started. I went on the app so often, multiple times a day or just hours straight. As time went on there were added requirements, like the time limit on all the spirt stones, if they expire they disappear from your account total. And annoyingly enough it signs me out on its own sometimes and just ruins the “bookmark” I had in any novel, all of them turning to “unread”. So many times I had to search for the chapter I left off. But the biggest problem I have faced with this app so far is today it had kicked me out once more and as I attempted to sign in I was told my account was suspended. It had kicked me out the day before and wouldn’t let me sign in so I waited till today to try again. And guess what? It wouldn’t let me and even told me my account was suspended. Why? I hadn’t done anything!! I even went on the website on safari and it worked at first but when I refreshed the page it kicked me out. I tried signing in but it said my account was suspended. Why? What had I even done? I’m so sure I have done nothing for such treatment. Some books I love to read but this app had finally touched upon my last bit of patience!!

It’s expensive. This app is expensive! You’ll easily spend over $200 for one story. They have some pretty good stories on there. Some are better than others so you have to spend some time searching. I recommend reading only complete stories though. I invested so much money in one story to find it wasn’t complete and the author hadn’t updated in over month. Also, the stories are like 500+ chapters long. The thing that irks me is that first 20 or so chapters in the stories are plot driven and really capture your attention. Then the next 100 chapters is devoted to the main character doing mundane things like enjoying a pleasant meal with family and having lighthearted or nonsensical banner with other characters or even just having an internal monologue. Then you get 3-4 chapters that advanced the plot with another 100 or so chapters about nothing important. And that pattern repeats until the end of the book. So, many of these stories are unnecessarily long and I suspect it’s due to the issue of earning money. The app itself is not intuitive. Like, you have to play around with it for a bit to figure it out and their Privilege system is a total scam. You use 300+ coins for the privilege of reading chapters that aren’t released yet and then have to use more coins to unlock the chapters you just used your privilege on. I like the app ok, but they need a better system that is easier on the reader’s wallet.

Used to be decent, now it’s expensive.. Daily logins might get you a fast pass, but that’s about the only way to get something free. The prices for unlocking a chapter are getting more and more expensive while each coin package is still as much as ever for even a slightly significant amount. There isn’t a way to earn free coins except for maybe in an event, and then it’s negligible anyway. This is a money-grubbing app, through and through. It used to be about 13 coins for an chapter, now many are 30 or close to that. Unless the book/comic is literally THAT good, I won’t be unlocking these, especially when they only have about 4 or 5 free chapters. Usually it would be much closer to a dozen. If you dare to buy into “privilege” in order to unlock content early, it will cost you about a hundred coins per chapter after the first one, not including the unlock price. After the first few tiers it gets more and more expensive, especially for some of the books. Furthermore, privilege only last a single month, so good luck if you mistakenly buy it even a day before the month ends; because, it will end at the start of a new month.

Ok app but updates need to be made. Originally the app was fine since it has most of the basic features needed to read and manage your account. After it updated to its current version it had more including better brightness/background options and easier ways to access info about the novel and other functions such as voting with power stones easier. Although it also has improvements that weren’t in the previous version of the app such as the reading milestones that allow you to get more currency or spirit stones for free iT has one major flaw that still hasn’t been fixed. The one major change that made this app less usable however is the lack of a landscape mode in reading mode. Without the landscape reading feature it makes it harder for one to read especially on larger devices such as tablets. There is a section in the help center for landscape mode, but that was for the previous version, before the app version changed to its current set up. In conclusion the app’s new update has increased functions and accessibility, but lack common features such as a landscape mode or the ability to rotate the screen

Greatly Sadden. Honestly when this app first came out I loved everything about it. I would spend hours on end on it reading. Back then most of the chapters were free expect the last 10 releases. Which you pay maybe 5 or 1 spirit stones “ sorry coins”to unlock. However as time went by they started locking chapters that use to be free already and making stones last limited time. Soon they added a subscription which I don’t mind paying for one to read and unlock all if not a good amount of novels. However, they got rid of it shortly after and it became what it is today. So why the low review? 80% of the chapters that use to be free are locked, you pay 10$ to get 500 coins which would only unlock around (33 to 71) if your lucky and LN can easily have up to 500+ chapters mind you, daily coins last limited time so if you don’t use it quickly well to bad, and honestly the voting system does great injustice for authors since it pretty much set up for us to vote just to get a little bit more coins without reading their LN. I am down with supporting authors and translators for their work but this? Ima have to say no thank you. I may not understand all on how the back end of this works but as it is now I hope to prepare any future readers before they got on this app. If you do, whip out your credit card because trust me you won’t get far without it. Not honest with purchasing chapters. I have been reading for more that a year with this app. There were times that fast passes where not given. But I let it pass. Now that I frequently purchase privilege chapters and batch chapters, I feel I need to comment about these. I recently made a batch purchase for 17 chapters that did not open until the intended chapter. I checked the opened chapters and realized that I’m missing 5 chapters. I know I had a Privilege purchase but it isn’t right that I will be missing those 5 chapters for whatever reason they have. I still purchased it and their system should have started from the unopened chapters. I had reached out via chat and they said unfortunately the system does not refund electronically. It’s like saying, “No Return, No Exchange.” This is how Asian markets work. Returning is a hassle for them and not good for their business. No wonder writers here are so overworked to push their work just to get paid. So typical of having underdogs feeding the masters. I’m mean, well, start by being honest. Better start checking what you have purchased or what you gift the writers. A big chunk goes to the bosses and not to the writers.

Good and bad.. The stories themselves are great. They have been translated and come with a lot of misspellings. The reason for the 2 star is that it’s all not worth the overly priced cost of a beer ok, especially when you don’t get a hard copy. I’m $60 in on 1 story. Now I’m asked to pay an additional for privilege to buy new chapters which we already pay for. Each “chapter” may truly be 3 pages, if it was put in hard copy. No clue on how many more so called chapters till the end of the book? So the real question is how much are you willing to pay for 1 book? Then you are asked about what website your reading the book and told which website this should be on, and reminded about pirating. No problem except in 1 book, you should only have to see that question and reminder 1 time. It becomes a annoying to have to read it every so called chapter. While the story is great and worth the read, the cost far out weighs the desire to finish reading it.

Fix the Fast Passes. This app has a lot of good content and I like that I can read a lot for free if I’m patient, but the rate at which you can do so has gotten worse and worse. You used to be able to get and use 3 Fast Passes a day to unlock any chapter of any series, but this has changed 2 Fast Passes that you can use like that and 1 ‘genre specific’ Fast Pass that dictates not only the genre, but book type (comic vs novel). If you read Romance Comics, but get a Mystery Novel fast pass for your daily login, you can’t use it without starting a new series that you may not even care about. Having only 2 real passes a day has significantly decreased my progress on reading many of my stories. Some of which are still releasing chapters. I don’t mind if you want me to watch ads in exchange for real fast passes, but at least get rid of the genre specific stuff. People complain about ads, but if you give them the choice to watch an ad for an extra pass, then it’s on them if they want to watch it and you get the ad pay.

ARGHH. I NEVER leave a detailed review like I’m doing now but I have to say this Webnovel is literally trying to eat all your money. Some books have very long chapter over 1000 and you have to pay to unlock some of the chapters because it won’t let you unlock everything with one payment 😐 and THAN when you unlock some chapters still have to pay to read it!! So basically you unlock to see not to read😒. Than you only get two daily fast pass plus watching an ad for just one more ONE so that’s three, and if your lucky enough when you watch the so called bonus video and you get an all works fast pass that makes 4 ONLY of your lucky than you can’t read your favorite novel or comic for the rest of day😐 you’ll have to read another book till it tells you, you have to pay to unlock a chapter and you don’t have any fast pass left. Honestly don’t waste your time on webnovel webtoon is better WAYYY better unless webnovel makes an update and fixes everything that is unfair than just find another app to read on cause you WILL be disappointed and will eventually get fed up that you’ll just uninstall.

Great Content, Glaring Issues. Don’t get me wrong, I highly enjoyed using this app. So much so that I even was purchasing their privileges, a premium service that allows the reader to skip the wait and read the most recent chapters. I come to find out, privileges only last a month. No biggie: I enjoy supporting the authors content and drop the ≈$30 per novel. Later I come to find out if you purchase your privilege, for example, on the 29th of the month, it will actually expire a few days later on the last day of the month. What astounded me further, is that you can purchase privileges for several different novels, weeks apart, yet they will still all expire on the same day. Several times I reached out to online help, which came in the form of a single entity named ‘Matt’, to voice concern. Despite being a premium member who paid quite a bit of money regularly, it was clear through the fake help chat bot that they do not value customer service and have no intentions of actually retaining a loyal customer base. Until this issue is resolved, I would recommend using this app to only view the free content, or forgo it altogether.

Love it but too many non-free chapters. I love this app, but I can barely get any coins or fast passes. I usually use fast passes because I still don’t know how to get coins, however the fast passes only last one chapter and you can only earn them by daily rewards and accomplishing some certain tasks. If you want more people to come to your app, I would recommend doing something with the daily rewards or fast passes so the people can unlock more chapters and keep reading. You should also make every book or comic have at least ten or twenty free chapters in them so people can keep reading and get more hooked. I love Webnovel because of all of the fun and may be inappropriate comics or books and they are really fun to read, but it is not really clear on how to get coins which also tells me you need to make it more clearer so more people understand how you get them and what they do. Also this may look like an essay and you might not want to read this which I’m sorry about, but all I wanted was to let you know, is that you may need to improve your reading app for people like me whom do not understand as much, but love reading the novels, graphic novels, and fan-fics as well as listening to Ebooks, if you did read this thank you for reading it and I hope you can consider all of my suggestions.

I Love this app, Fast pass/Coins. I love this app with many creative and interesting stories however there’s a problem with the fast pass and coins. I have to wait another day just to read the next chapter because I already use up fast pass after voting and I really don’t understand how to get coins without paying cause I’m broke to buy any coins or fast passes. ( I’m a college student who has to pay fee’s for classes, Apartment bills/Phone bills, paying to get Equipments like blood pressure and clinical payment for CNA class, get groceries every six week, there’s also the Covid-19 pandemic, and all that other wonderful stuff.😅) I think this app should just use Ad’s. For example, every time the readers get to the next chapter that’s locked we can either pay or watch an ad to read instead of having to wait for another day and the fast passes at least get three by voting cause one fast pass isn’t helping at all. I’m sorry to those who disagree but this might be the only way we can read chapters and Hey!! it’s better than having to wait, being broke, AND writing an upset Review because the chapters are locked.🤷‍♀️

Disappointed. I have been reading on this app for years! The stories are great the setup was easy and I did not mind paying for extra coins to read. Overall it WAS one of the best apps out there! I have now dropped them from a 5 star to a 2 and the only reason it is a two is for the writers and artists who do such a wonderful job! When they added the privilege purchases they turned into a money hungry app and the privilege never works. I had the same issue happen twice, where I had read and paid for chapters and needed to purchase the privilege. What you don’t know is with the privilege even if you read and paid for chapters it doesn’t matter. You will get the same chapters you already read and paid for before until a ton of money getting coins to purchase a en higher privilege to purchase more chapters under the privilege. Yep it doesn’t unlock the chapters for you it gives you access for you to pay for them. And the customer service is a joke! They can’t help you, compensate, or fix the issue. Instead they talk to you like you are an idiot and do. It understand anything. So if you like spending tons of money to pay for something 3 times just to read one chapter this is the app for you.

Addictive. I would say if it’s a drug and I used it daily I probably high in drugs as it’s an addiction reading in Webnovel even though it’s quite pricey can’t help yourself but to buy or purchase more coins

The app has failed. I’m writing this review because the app has finally failed, having two issues that need addressing. 1: For the last three days the app has logged me out and won’t recognise my account (using my google account) to login. The browser version works fine for my google login but the frustratingly annoying point is having to use the app to get full access for the daily rewards tasks. .......................................... 2: And finally the second issue, Is for the in app feedback which hasn’t worked since the day I downloaded the app, The app freezes every time I tried using it, having to close the app and then opening it again to use it again.

Amazing but buggy. Hi! I enjoy most of the novels provided inthe Webnovel. however, the amount of total stones sometimes failed to get updated hence i could not afford to read few more chapters for instance 2 days ago i should have 45 stones but ended up having 25 only because the system didn’t add the 20 stones I’ve got for daily sign-in. Please check on this for me. Thank you.

Love and a bit of hate. Like the app love the contents can’t stop read the novels there. But the reward system in the app is a mess it’s always changing we had spirt stones now it’s just coins could have named spirt coins I mean it’s not to big of a jump there. And the fast pass why not a talisman key or scroll key I liked the names that kind of linked the rewards to the stories.

Feature. Webnovel is a great reading app. It has a variety of novels for all the different genres and well written stories. What I would like to complain about is how, when you’re a writer and you would like to delete your book, you can’t. I think this problem should be fixed. Some people are actually having to put in their title that they couldn’t delete the book. It’s a small problem but it does bug me a lot. I would be grateful and I’m sure a lot of other people would be too if you could fix that small problem for me/us. Thank you.

Great but has some cons. I have been using this app for 4 or 5 years now. I have always loved the novels and comics that they have! I don’t like how they changed the system they use to allow you to unlock chapters now though. It use to be great and actually doable to read the novels and comics just by using the coins you could earn on the app. Now it’s impossible to read more than two or three chapters without paying and the price is just getting to expensive. Some books would cost you AUD $80-$150 just to be able to read it all if you bought the coins it would take to unlock the chapters. I love the app and always come back to it. However, now that I’ve started reading a novel that I can’t finish unless I purchase the entire book at once, which would cost me more than AUD $150, I’m feeling like its not worth it anymore.

Bad Update. Before the be recent update, Webnovel was amazing but it the update turned spirits stones into coins and you can only get coins by either buying them or inviting friends. The rewards section doesn’t give out coins, they give out fast pass which you can use to unlock a chapter for 72hrs. The fast pass expires within 7 days so you can’t save them. You can only use fast pass on stories that are. not in the privileged section. Really upset with webnovel, spirit stones were a better system to unlock chapters than coins.

Not too bad. The fast pass isn’t too bad, I only read a few books and they’re slow to upset and I don’t need to use coins to unlock new chapters anymore. The downside is they’re forcing readers to buy coins now, and only used for gifting and we only get 3 fast pass everyday (excluding inviting new people) and they expires in a week. If they make the fast pass expiry date longer (like a year!) then it would be great. I am happy with the new update so far because they got rid of the stupid percentages and brought back chapter numbers read shown on our library.

It nice but…. The app is great and everything but if you’re broke like me ;) you should consider reading 2 novel’s at a time, because you have two free things a day, I’m not going to wait 1 day to read two chapters of my favourite novel it’s killing me ;(.

DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!. 1) Aside from the struggle to collect spirit stones to read as much chapters as you like, the app crashes and can ruin your iPad! I was engulfed by a good story and created 5 different accounts, so I could continue reading. I would log in and out of different accounts, then something happened: the app froze. I pressed the home button for a hundred times, but nothing happened. I pressed the sleep/wake button for a hundred seconds, but I could not restart my iPad. Luckily, my iPad only had 5% battery when that happened, so I waited for it drain completely and charged it. After that, I immediately deleted the app. What do you think would have happened without the luck?🤔🤔 2) Because I loved the story, I downloaded this app on my phone which was a Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro. It was still disastrous because it would crash before I could even log in. 3) Even through Safari, its website froze my iPad for a minute or two. Please just don’t use this☹️☹️

Great app but.... 1. For some reason, whenever I try to invite friends, the page always crash and I have to use my laptop in order to do that. 2. Also for stories that have 500+ chapters, I feel like they should have an option where you can just pay for the entire ebook (unfinished or not) so we don't have buy chapters individually and repeatedly buying and earning spiritstones 500+ times.

Love it. I have use the app for about a year, it good to find good novel but eats up for money when chapter go premium, I do wish their was a live comment section to talk to other uses not just the comment sections on the novels, anyway you should use this app best out their on the app store

Scam. I got this app because I wanted to read one novel that had advance chapters and paid a lot of money to access them but only expired after 3 days. Spoke to customer care and they said it expires every month and mind you it doesn’t tell you this when you pay for this. Now that I have paid for the privilege plus to unlock the chapters and it has expired. They will ask you to pay again for the access of the chapters you have already read so that you can then access the chapters you haven’t.. now can someone please tell me who has the money to pay for chapters you are not even reading? And if this is not a scam what is? I can’t be the only one having this issue, right? I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. I use webcomics too but am not being asked to unlock chapters again and they stingy on coins too

Good app but.... In the most recent update (like yesterday) the fast pass stopped working. It still says that I have fast passes but is no longer giving me the option to use them. I’m not sure if this is part in the update or not but if it isn’t please fix it

Webnovel. Webnovel app is really amazing except if it wasn’t for the points that you have to collect to be able to read more chapters. In my opinion, I really hate this part of reading apps where you need to collect points and not being able to freely enjoy reading!

Charging twice for coins refuse to give you refund. Been with webnovel for 3 years now, used to be good but now they are being greedy. I am someone who normally spends 20-30dollars per month,but lately they have been charging me twice, refusing to refund or give me the coinc equivalent. excuses they give are that I sent invoice late, which is why my bank statement is wrong but they are wrong I know precisely how much I spent down on what purchase down to the last cent! They are outright STEALING from you and even try to make it look that you are the one in the wrong! Extremely disappointed,hence deleted the app, cancelled all subcription, and move on with another pay to read novel service. Never would I recommend this to anyone. You guys have lost a good paying customer for life! STEER CLEAR FROM WEBNOVEL! go to Babelnovel or mangatoon instead! Pwe! 😡😡😡

Great service. Slow load times. Great interface and UI makes this app easy to navigate and the leveling up system makes an interesting way to read and feel rewarded. However servers are slow and load times for comics take a very long time. If not for that would give this a 5 star rating for premium members.

It’s pretty neat. Overall it’s just a better version of the website with more functionality and features. But annoyed with the constant alerts that pop up in the middle recommending other stuff, double checking every action you make, and every page seems to have a completely new design to how everything is arranged.

Great app for reading but it’s missing a few things. Stories are brilliant if you know what to look for though there aren’t much variety when it comes to genres. Generally there’s a high amount of ‘poor girl meets rich CEO’ plot lines but that’s because they’re are the ones that get read the most. Apart from the fact that I have to wait to have enough ‘spirit stones’ to let me access unreadable chapters, I enjoy the app

CANNOT PUT DOWN. Ok once I got this app I just couldn’t stop using it I turned on the app everyday at ungodly hours just so I can read I get my Dailey awards and use that to get the books, I just keep running out of spirit stones(the thing you use to read the books once you get to a certain chapter) everyday it’s a struggle to not stay on this app too long because it’s that hard to put down. I strongly recommend

Rip off regarding privileges. You can pay extra to get ‘early access’ to chapters for 30 days. However, what they don’t tell you is that this access expires at the end of each calendar month, not after 30 days. So, if you purchased this on the 28th, guess what… no access after 2-3 days, even though you paid for it. This is also not advertised as you purchase.

Cost is insane. The actual story Im reading is great- but costs an arm and leg and possibly a kidney - the cost of one story is insane I’m up to approx $100 US and it’s not finished the either keeps dragging out the chapters which cost coins and the amount of time you have to wait for chapters is ridiculous- how about only posting the story when it’s finished!!!! It’s been 12 days and I’m still trying to finish the book -as soon as this story is finished I’m deleting app- I will not be reading snippets to sucker me in again - no more/ just pay $6 on kindle and get a complete book no hidden costs.

Recent iOS broke app. From the get go I enjoy this app and use it religiously daily. However the recent iOS update has broken it and now I am unable to use it as it closes immediately upon opening. I managed to access a pc to read the forums and i see people complained however there was no response from developers. So until it’s updated it’s of no use to anyone. Edit: Update. Recent app update has fixed this problem and it works a charm. Like to reiterate that I do enjoy this app and to add, it is very to use. Worth getting

Great. Honestly this is one of the best novel apps it even let’s me start a career in righting novels for free but the only downside is that I don’t know how to get paid for it (doesn’t bother me as I’m trying to become a chef as well)

Hard to read. It make it extremely difficult to read with the lack of stones you can collect a day and each method grants you 5 stone where as I’ve only come a cross book requiring 10-13 stones. I think personally you so rethink they way your point systems work if you want more people on your app longer

WebComics. If this app doesn’t work for you, you should try WebComics. It’s an app that has manga with lots of genre such as: Romance, Thriller, Boys Love, Action and much more. So please try this app. It made me want to read more everyday. You’ll be given money to unlock the chapters and you will receive more if you complete 10 minutes of reading or logging in. Browser update. I have been using Webnovel since 2016 and have really enjoyed the progression of the site. The new update broke everything. You cannot read on the site or browser anymore but are forced to download this bad app which has flashing pop ups and random presents on screen. I just want to read not navigate a maze to even find the book I was reading. The browser was 1000x better and more user friendly. - rant from a avid book reader

Needs More Work, Not New PF Frames!. This is the 3rd time I’ve had to download this app for the 12.9 iPad Pro. It would not update chapters of novels, requiring reinstall. Sometimes it wouldn’t load at all. The devs spend more time creating profile photo frames than fixing the app itself. It’s literally nothing more than a novel cash cow, with expensive upgrades to read extra chapters of novels. Too many pop ups as soon as you open the app, opening novels I don’t want to read. You cannot read Horizontally, why this is so, is just stupid. The vertical view is difficult to use because the bottom of the vertical is where the power cable goes in, therefore limiting the use of the cable and a case that has a frame support for hands free reading.

Good app with a problem. The app has been amazing to the fact where ive found multiple interesting and unique books that ive been very addicted to reading these past few months. its just that when ever i buy coins if i dont close the purchase page at sonic speeds i get double charged, 500 coins which should be $15 AUD? ill get 500 coins and $30 AUD taken from me, please fix this issue as i cant deal with this double charring bs

Great app, but a few issues. I love this app and it’s novels but there are a few bugs such as some of the missions failing to give the rewards and the new system with the coins instead of the old spirit stones, as the only way to get coins are buying them and inviting friends and they are pretty much useless because you barely use them to unlock chapters anymore and gifting is expensive coin wise. I would like to request that we go back to the old system but maybe keep the fast passes so long as they work well.

Disappointing. I’ve had this app for years and love so many as well as followed I didn’t mind when they introduced the stone payment set up way back when because it gave some excitement and I enjoyed supporting my more favoured authors, however! In this recent update I have lost any and all respect for this money grabbing app!! How dare they set up a “premium” and deny loyal customers because they decided the money they get isn’t enough! I will be not using this app again in the future and deeply regret any of my money I spent here as it was now as I can see a complete waste!

Annoying new system. Look Webnovel is a great app but with the new system of using fast passes I find is worse then the previous system as it seems like this change was made just to get more money. You get them by completing mission in which you’ll get about three a day but the fast passes are not always for everything on the sight they also give out passes for certain genres and type of book (novel or comic) so that means you could sign in one day get your easy 3 passes but you won’t be able to use any as none are for any books you read. So it seems like they want people to start buying the premium service or more fast passes which I understand people need to make money but it seems like they’re trying to get more money by making it so that it is harder to read for free and as someone who cannot spend that much money outside of necessities it really drags down my opinion of they app

I really love this app, I like reading comics that that is romance and it’s really good the story🤗🤗🤗, I wish that I could finish all the episodes but I don’t have enough diamonds or something, I still have to wait to get one😔😔😞. It’s “meh”. The novel, comics, fanfic etc are all amazing and fun to read. But I’m a person who loves reading and the fact that you have to pay to unlock the rest of the chapters angers me. You can only read about a quarter of the book before you have to unlock them. This is by paying money to get coins on the app in which you can finally read the chapter. And once you pay one chapter at a minimum price you would have to pay again to read the next chapter. This whole system of ‘paying to unlock chapters’ is honestly making want to stop reading on this app overall. Don’t get me wrong, I adore this app and love the novels I read but due to the fact I can’t finish reading them without paying money. It makes me want to read from another site like Wattpad, at least I can finish the stories on that app without having to pay money.

Webnovel is awesome,. Hi I just wanted to say that this app is awesome! There are so many books of different variety and I can just never get bored of it. However I would prefer it if there were more ways to get coins and if there were more things we could do to level up quicker. Otherwise I adore this platform

Completely Oblivious to Customer Needs. They recently brought out a premium subscription which finally brought down the costs from $200-$300 a book, which is incredibly high price, to around $40 a month sub. As this started getting more popular they realized they weren’t making as much money so they decided to stop the subscription program with no forewarning. This not only stopped the subscriptions but any chapters you read while sub have now been re-locked so you paid for nothing.

Good content, CS needs to be more responsive.. This is a great app, so far the quality is the best among all e-reader app. However ever since latest iOS upgrade, I repeatedly purchased $7.99 coins but it never went through. I sent all the necessary docos and even screen recorded my app & mail but they still didn’t acknowledge it. They were saying the invoice date doesnt match with the actual purchase time, well that is how App Store generates invoice. It is almost never on time. Even some other e-reader apps that are not as chic as this app has CS team that is more knowledgeable in this invoice-delay thing within App Store. Such shame, this app is the best. Kudos to the developer and content curator & translator, but seriously your CS team needs to familiarize themselves more. (And they can be a bit rude, but well everyone has a bad day)

Great books available, however.... Some stories and chapters are free. Others need spirit stones. Which you can either purchase, get when you sign in each day or get friends to sign up and join. Which was fine. However the last few days the friend codes haven't worked and the help email doesn't really get replied to. So it can be frustrating.

This app is a scam!. This app is so buggy. I bought $15 of spirit stones and none was issued to my account! Money was deducted from my account, got receipts from both paypal and appstore to confirm the transaction. After a quick search on the internet, it seemed like many others had the same issue too. I have reported to webnovel and they basically told me to contact appstore and solve the problem myself!!! It works fine for free reading but if you decide to pay then be prepared, you might be scammed!

Amazing except for the pay wall. This app has a great selection with robust genres and filters. It also makes the reading experience quite easy. With the addition of portrait functionality it would be perfect in the reading sense. The pay wall, however, quickly becomes apparent. I understand the purpose and can’t really blame them, I ended up using the app more for discovery that actually reading complete books.

My experience is great. The app overall is amazing, but the only problem I have is that you have to pay to unlock a chapter (once you run out of the money). By paying you could use your rewards and earn rewards or you could pay using your own money. Spending money isn’t bad as my experience with the app is a pleasant one but if you don’t like spending your own money and are impatient this app isn’t really for you. The prices are very cheap as well and for most people, very affordable. Anyway that’s what I want to say, thank you!!!

Not bad, until it goes buggy.... When it works, which admittedly is alot of the time, it's a pretty good app. Not perfect, but then what is. However, when it goes buggy, it's exceedingly annoying. I'm writing this because it's one of those times. I opened the app today as normal to catch up on my reading, and found that I was signed out. At this point I was anticipating the coming headache, and unfortunately things played out as I expected. Signing on with my email and password, the app...hung. I walked away for roughly 10 minutes and it was still sitting there when I got back, hung. So I closed the app and opened it up again. Selecting the signin option (again), it switched to the email/password screen and before I could do anything, it recognised my signon and switched to the 2nd screen -- except it displayed it like a web page!! In this fashion, I can clumsily navigate around, but a number of the buttons display the words 'open app' -- BUT I'M IN THE APP!! It's so frustrating! This is around the 5th to 7th time this has happened, over a period of roughly 6 months, so it's not common. In the past, it eventually comes good without me doing anything further, so fingers crossed it'll do the same this time. I reported it the first 2 times it occurred, but received no response. Please, fix this!! I'm seriously considering going back to just using a browser.

lowkey false advertising. I downloaded the app through an ad i saw on instagram. The ad showed a story through a comic strip, making me assume that this was some sort of manga/comic type of app. Was really keen bc the story it had shown on the ad seemed really interesting. Not gonna lie, i was really disappointed when i realised it was just books. Don’t get me wrong i loveeee reading and will probably still enjoy the app, but was still really disappointed when i realised the truth.

Latest update. The latest update on the website is a slap on the face to almost all Webnovel readers, now instead of making you pay money for premium novels, now they also force you to download this app by hard locking how much of a chapter you can read, effectively making the website useless, it’s so much easier to read on the website on pc but now that’s gone and with it my loyalty to Webnovel.

Amazing. Absolutely love this app!! I mean there r issues like the stones but I can understand it’s a way to let the writer/author to make money for their hard work so it’s understandable, there r difficulty when wanting to read the chapters but they’re lock and we don’t have money to buy stones and have to wait for the next day to get more stones but at the same time the amount of stories in there r huge and they have a lot of varieties. Many chapters were post a day so it’s worth it. Nothing is earned. Most novels you may only read to chapter 60 and all the points you earn while doing so are completely useless. Unfortunately you are forced to spend real money to read and you will most likely never finish anything. As far as I’m aware buying chapters with points is virtually impossible even if you spend a month reading nonstop there isn’t anything to show for it

Good, but could be improved. It is a very good app with many good translated novels and comics. However, acquiring fast pass can be improved. As a reader that reads several novels/comics at the same time, getting fast passes to catch-up to ongoing and finish series, can be really difficult. The store point system is good but what’s the point when you can only redeem one fast pass a week. I think it would help people who can’t afford to buy coins if they did not limit buying fast passes to only once a week.

Scammer. Why your story getting 10 trillion out of nowhere is not updating regularly and if you want to read you need to buy a privilege which is 12x expensive that regular paying for chapter and if you buy a privilege they will open a chapter that you already read. If you want to read next chapter you need to avail again. To much greedy. Check your system

Landscape option. I use the app on my iPhone and iPad but not being able to use it on landscape mode is somewhat annoying because I have a keyboard attached to my iPad, so it would be great if I could use with the screen rotating. Otherwise, not a bad app! The “check” in and “recommendation” notification whenever you open the app is a bit annoying, but it’s a fun place if you’re looking for a bunch of genre!

Wth. Don’t bother buying the monthly sub. You still have to pay for coins on top of that to read anything. Monthly sub should include unlimited reading. What a waste of time

Great app. Love this app and the books are amazing. They have an incredible selection BUT the price for reading them is insane. I read about 5 or 6 books at a time and could never afford to do that on here. I don’t was to stop reading my book to read 20 minutes of another book to earn points because they are not always books I am interested in so I end up hating it. And I wish there was an option to be able to just purchase completed books and be able to just read through but no there isn’t and it ends up costing well over $100 bucks for 1 book and that is ridiculous.

Event and points. The app is wonderful for finding new books to read and enjoy but there are a few downside mainly events, the events are really costly with no events for earning free coins or FP which I find a bit annoying seeing as chapters for books tend to add up pretty quickly even though the events arent needed for reading it would be nice to enjoy one without needing a ton of money, lastly the free points system used to buy things like frames, the system was amazing at the start until i realzied after a certain point the points you get would expire if not spent leading to 30 thousand plus points expiring without being used even if you havent logged in for awhile missing the notification of there expiration!

Hate having to buy coins. I HATE having to spend money on coins. There should be an option to watch ads to get coins.

Expensive and no customer service. Don’t get sucked into this app. Some novels seem amazing but they cost 300+ dollars to read in their entirety and so the game offers membership that you think will be good but doesn’t remind you to cancel it so when you give up on expensive reading, you get an unexpected charge a year later to your card. Neither the app’s customer service or PayPal would help me in this matter. Save yourself some grief!

First time with this app. I like everything except for the fast pass. It only gives 1 daily and you can not increase the amount with levels. I also don't like the author membership thing were the author can lock up to 50 chapter or more. To unlock those you will need to spend money to buy coins to unlock it. Which I think is stupid in my opinion. The membership would been nice if it gives unlimited reading on some novels even if its not unlimited to all of them. Over all its good but it will take a very long time to finish one novel without spending money to buy coins and membership.

I feel kind of dirty. There are some great novels on here ( Lord of Mysteries is a personal fave) but I feel dirty when I use this app. I love reading and it feels like it’s cheapened my favourite hobby by turning it into a peep show. I dono. Maybe it’s just me

Okay. Honestly I love the app, and I’ve loved tons of the novels on it; but everything is so expensive. I really liked the old version where it was a lot easier to get spirit stones. I understand they have to make money but a dollar for 50 coins is unreasonable, there should be more ways to earn coins and fast passes. I would recommend this app but be aware that it can be frustrating at times. Though a good portion of the well written novels cost passes or coins, there all also a ton of free ones you just have to do some digging.

There is a bug. When we want to comment and write something if we made a mistake and want to erase it we have difficulty to be able to write normally it’s kind of strange because you can’t write more letters the one you wrote got replaced by the new one if not for this it’s an excellent app

Disappointing. You have to spend so much money to read comics on this app. Literally so much. And just because it says a book is completed doesn’t mean that it actually is. I’ve read 5 comics on there so far, and literally 3 of them are marked completed when they are not. They leave off on cliffhangers and there is no way to know if there is more to come. Some have been marked as completed over a year ago. I’m disappointed more than I’m happy with this app. I’m literally going to finish off the last batch of coins I bought and I’m deleting the app. It’s so disappointing and so expensive for something that is completely misleading.

Good content and interface but horrible monetization. For starters I only got this app to read shadowslave so I don't know about the quality of the rest of the stories. The interface for reading is good but everything else reminds me of a crappy free to play game that is constantly trying to get you to spend money. Constant tedious tasks to grind to add up points, multiple different currencies and trinkets and finally a horrible money to word ratio. An average novel will contain between 70,000 to 120,000 words and will cost roughly 30$ to 40$ canadian. On this app it will cost you 60$ to 80$ for the same amount of words if you pay in one go.

Used to be good. 1/5 The web version used to be so good. You could get fast passes for all novels now you can’t even get more than one a day, instead they give some random genre passes that are useless.

Good and bad. 3.5/5 Dont get me wrong, this is a great app and the site has a LOT of translated novels. The only downfall is the price to read. For the premium series (all the good books u want to read but update 1-2 chapters a day) cost to read. The price to read the new chapters are like 8-14 spirit stones to read and when you’re like me who reads more than 10 series at once, u end up spending 30$+ monthly just to read. IF they added a monthly subscription service, this app would be 5/5 because the translaters are dedicated and ive never seen a late chapter. Sadly its just too expensive

Fun but expensive and clunky. I enjoy reading and writing with this app, it’s awesome for that and allows me to get books out to readers that would have never read my book in the first place! But there is a huge issue, it is so expensive. I get that there is a pay wall and normally I would be willing to pay but when I spend like 10$ I expect to be able to read most of if not the whole story but no, 10$ will only get you a couple dozen chapters dispute there still being hundreds of chapters left. Don’t waist your money and instead use your daily passes My second issue is that the website is very clunky and hard to navigate. As a writer I want to be able to easily access the writing tab but whenever there is an event the tab disappears making you have to go into the poorly made profile tab. My main issue with the profile tab is that there are so many missing features that would make life so much easier such as an account settings tab which would allow me to change things such as my password. Over all 4/5 maybe a 3.8 Fun sometimes, hell sometimes.

Ads. There are ads displayed after PAYING to read. If you watch video to remove ad for 30 minutes a new ad gets displayed. Super greedy.

Consider merging fast passes, please.. The main problems with the app how incredible stingy they are with fast passes; instead of a general fast pass they broke it up in multiple hyper niche categories you will likely never even touch. I’m only interested in 2 out of them all; to add another kick in the balls all of their sides events like the carnival give randomized passes as well and 9 times of 10 they’re not the pass I would even use. As the final cherry on top, the fast pass cost to unlock a chapter is anywhere from 1-3 based on word count. Very stingy. Then there is the app itself which crashes constantly every time a chapter is unlocked. Apart from the bugs, the pop up recommendations when opening the app are made even more annoying from the above issue. I’m not freeloader, so I don’t mind buying coins to support authors, but it is incredibly expensive. We’re talking of triple digits for books with hundreds of chapters, in CAD $. When you add in how stingy the devs are with fast passes, the pricing is awful. I would prefer to just buy the whole book for the author’s price than little incremental payments. At least for books that are completed.

FAKE ADVERTISING: Charge in wrong currency. I tried to purchase in app for coins that stated to be in Canadian currency and when you pick a method of payment it switch to USD currency even though my account is set for Canadian purchase. This is fake advertising

Really terrible app. This app used to be much simpler and you could simply check in and read chapters of the stories you like. Now it is completely insane spammy garbage. There is no way to read the things you want to read and it constantly harasses you whenever you try to navigate around and try to figure out how any of the resources work. It’s also insanely expensive for no reason. Would not recommend to anyone.

very bad customer service. i was reading a book for the last year up to about 3000 chapters and then each chapter started repeating sometimes like copy and paste and the other half of the chapters we’re missing and then it started happening every chapter i contacted support and they did nothing

Fast passes. I really loved this app when it was first made because I could read 5-10 chapters of the book I like with just fast passes, now you need 3 fast passes for one page of a book and you only get one fast pass when you vote three times With energy and power stones. Of course we have the daily check-in that sometimes doesn’t even give you the pass you need to read the book you want. I think we should get more then one fast pass for every 3 stone votes and I mean give us the three fast passes for the three votes. Or I noticed that you can watch an add for a fast pass. Why not make it so you can do that more then once. You can make it so it’s not back to back to back. After three videos put a 30min timer for when we can watch 3 more videos and get more passes. You don’t have to go with these ideas I would just like too be able to read more then one chapter of only one of my saved books a day.

No ads for fast passes/points anymore. Since the last update was rolled out I can’t watch any ads at all for fast passes/points. Zero. Nothing. Please fix your app.

Coins. The app itself is great! There are so many books and options. The only problem is the coins. It looks like you can only get them by buying them which is unfair for all those who don’t want to spend any money. And most of the coins are expensive and need a lot to get the rest of the book. There should be a way to get coins by doing missions and things so that you can still read the book. Most books that I’ve read so far are over a hundred chapters so it cost more than a thousand coins to unlock the whole book which gets expensive and annoying really quickly.

Great way to find novels. Honestly if you want to find good novels to read with a bunch of different genres, this app is the app for you. Don’t let the need to purchase coins and premium chapters drive you away. You can just find them almost anywhere’s else online if you search up the title of the book. While some novels have terrible translations others are perfect and are gems of a read. Def try it out

Riddled with errors. Not sure what happened, but prior to the last update there has only been one glaring error. Each time either this app gets an update or my iPhone gets an update. It bugs out and force logs me out of the app so I have to jump through the log in steps. After the most recent update, it does the force log out thing all the time. It appears to do it whenever my iPhone connects or disconnects from WiFi while the app is open. It’s like it freaks out and tells me that it isn’t connected and to refresh when loading a new chapter and won’t fix itself until I close the app and reload it, but then it forgot my log in information and I have to reset it. The biggest issue after the most recent update is that every 48-72 hours the app stops showing normal text and everything is in like Wingdings or some other unreadable font on every chapter for any book. The only way to fix it is to completely uninstall the app and reinstall. Therefore going through the log in and verification process again. This is so beyond annoying. The fact that I have paid money for this app, makes this lack of functionality absolutely infuriating. Please fix this ASAP and stop trying to fix things that are not broken. It worked fine before, clearly they are trying to update something but you should test things before sending it up as an irreversible update.

Great but pricey. I downloaded this app after seeing a Snapchat add for it. They have a great selection of stories! I rated a 3 out of 5 for a few reasons. A lot of the stories have several typos. Almost every paragraph. I understand a lot of the stories are translated but to as do continue to see adds for Webnovel and even those have typos so they need to play closer attention to details. The pricing is okay, reading each chapter can get extremely pricey very fast. They need to work out a different price format. It’s cheaper to buy a brand new book for $20-$30 at a store then to get through a few chapters on this app. To add there is away to get a free “fast pass” and ready a chapter a day however 80% of the time you watch and add, then the add won’t let you close it or claim your free pass is just a waste of time. Unfortunately this app just falls short and has a lot of work to be done before it can get a 5/5.

Suddenly my tickets are being taken away???. In all honesty I love this app till my hearts content! I won’t lie that this app changed my life because this is what sparked my interest in reading believe it or not. I’ve been using this app since January of last year! Although this app has been the best I was slightly surprised at the sudden currency change (coins/ticket/point), though I didn’t mind since I gained lots of tickets! Though I have one problem, why do my tickets get taken away? I once had 25 tickets since I logged in almost everyday, but it suddenly started to stay at 25? Yes I saw it change to 28 but it’ll always go back to 25 the next day! I thought that the limit was 25, but when I reached 19 it went to 16. Is there anything I need to know about so my hoarding side of me won’t panic anymore? Please and thank you!!!!

Messy app and expensive. Pro - i came here for psychic princess because I love the anime on crunchy roll and don’t see them making another season. So If your looking for the manga it’s here. - psychic princess and I’m assuming a few others have chapters going up too 400+. I love that. Con - dumb expensive just to read! You’re better off googling psychic princess manga free. If the creator was on a better app. Like webtoon, manta, or crunchyroll. I would no doubt support them. I really like manta cause I only pay 3 dollars and get unlimited read. Only con is a lot the stories only have like 80 chapters and I read fast. But the tea girl 😤 it’s worth the wait. -the app is messy and has way to much going on and needs to simplify. Also hard to wanna throw money into this app when it feels so greedy compare to the other apps. I just personally don’t feel like this is good app. There are better stories out there. If not get the story for free some where else. Hopefully the app will get cheaper or close down. If it does shutdown the creators will take their work else and I feel benefit from that.

Expensive. This app is really not worth it. Unless you have a lot of money to spare I would not use this app. It doesn’t care about free readers and they’ve finally made it impossible for free readers to read ahead with privileges! For about a day you could earn coins for privilege chapters by reading but now you can only earn experience points for “leveling” by reading. It’s honestly disgusting. There’s zero benefits to leveling, it will not give you more passes or coins for reading. I happen to think the reading points are only made to mock free readers or those not able to pay up for all of the novels- which is a lot of people. This app was more expensive to keep up than audibles and Netflix together when it introduced the subscription ($30 a month), and without it, if you wanted to read a lot you’d have to invest hundreds of dollars for each months. The way that they rip you off is crazy! What kind of unreasonable rate is this? I hope no one else not able to afford it gets this app! Way too expensive.

Going Downhill.... 1. App is getting more and more unusable. Can’t access the newest chapters of the novels I’m reading. This is extremely frustrating since the novels are the reason people use this app. If the novels aren’t even working properly, who’d want to download and use the app? 2. Glitches out too much. Bad maneuverability. 3. Charging too many crystals for certain novels. This forces you to buy crystals. Which is normally fine, but spending 20 bucks might not necessarily get you to the latest chapters. 4. The new comics glitch out a lot. There isn’t a large selection, and the comics are difficult to access. 5. Difficult to explore new novels. They often have the same novels for hottest, recommended for you, and the other groups on the explore tab AND they are ones already in your library. 6. The new male and female division. I get what they are trying to do, but I would rather have separate tags for it. Also, I feel like this division is kinda sexist. (If you’re female, you must enjoy romance and nothing else). The male section has a more diverse selection of novels like adventure, video games, eastern fantasy, science fiction, etc. In this day and age, I’m disappointed in how they handled this. If the novels I like aren’t exclusively on Webnovel and have chapters updating daily, I would’ve ditched this app a long time ago. On a brighter note, I do enjoy that the app allows you to write your own. There are some really good original novels on the app.

Some Issues need to be fixed. It’s cliche but, I really don’t do reviews. I went to login to the app so I could read and it wouldn’t let me login (yes the information was correct). That’s not all, a couple days ago I went to log in and went to claim my reward for the day (the fast pass), got it, and then I went to check it to make sure I had gotten it, knowing that I had originally 10 fast passes, but when I had looked I had jumped down to 8 after knowing I hadn’t used them. I thought nothing of it because I thought it was just something in the system and it would come back the next day. Skip to the next day, I was missing even more fast passes and was getting really aggravated with it and then today I can’t login at all. I really like the app. I just became a member not long ago and nope this starts. I was in love with the book I was reading and now I can’t even read it.

Saw the ad on Facebook and it checks outs. I kept getting ads on my news feed for this app. I finally decided to click on it and read the comic. The comic was “The Adventures if the Mystical Doctor”. I was surprised that the story line started with death, but then it pulls the character into a new world. The story is captivating from their. The main character is a strong female lead who doesn’t take trash from anyone. Overall the app is very interesting. It has a lot of features, ones that I’m even still trying to figure out. I like the point system is uses. As you read you can earn points to open locked chapters. And if that’s not enough they give you the option to buy points as well. There are plenty of comics and stories to choice from and there is even the option to write your own story.

THIS IS A SCAM!. This is a huge scam! They charge ridiculous amounts to read each chapter once you reach the end of the “free” ones. These are AMATEUR writers so you read the typos, confusing sentences, etc bc no one is proof reading this. The stories can be good though but one story can cost you over $20!! They unlock two free chapters a day but chapters are super short. So you can buy the membership, problem solved right? No! You are literally giving them money for nothing bc you get absolutely nothing in return, you are still expected to freaking pay to unlock the chapters. I have no idea what my membership bought me or why these thieves think it’s ok to literally charge you and give you absolutely nothing in return. I thought I would at least get the book I was reading completely unlocked with the membership but it’s a SCAM! I’m reporting this app.

Well. I love this app very much and have been a regular reader to many stories for years my only issue with it is the pay I’ve spent so much on binge reading all my favorite stories sometimes upwards of 15 in a single day which I understand the translators need to be compensated for there time. When I started this app three years ago only the latest two or three chapters of a book was pay to read and often times an add was available in case you could not pay I’m just Curious as to why now more then half of all the books are pay to read and the adds have mostly been removed it does not make sense I have no problem donating to a great story but this forced donations have forced me to use this site to find books and use the internet to finish any book ultimately losing my business all together

used to be amazing. as much as I love and use this app, its becoming painfully obvious the targeted users. this app wants money and money only. I used this for around 4 years now. Back then it was manageable due to the fast passes given daily. However, not-so-recently, I noticed it takes 2 fast passes to unlock one single chapter. (I used to use this app for one novel that I reread and read multiple times. I only recently got into another). I can barely read four chapters per day, while I used to read around 6 to 8. and, that’s not really fair for those users who don’t spend money or cannot afford to, like myself. please change this… I really want to support the authors as much as I can here and not having to resort to other options. also, I don’t recommend publishing novels here!! It’s quite sketchy, especially since we cannot delete them. (I’ve did so three times, it was an awful mistake).

Used to be great, Now it’s awful. I’ve been using this app to read comics for about 2 years, and all I’ve got to say is that whoever is updating the app needs to be fired immediately. It used to be on a one fast pass system for new chapters, and now it costs 3 to read a single chapter of a short comic. Even then, it takes 3-4 days for the fast passes you earn to actually be usable for the comics, and really frustrates me to no end and honestly makes me want to drop the entire app and the comics I’ve been following for the past 2 years. Before the 1 fast pass system was implemented, it used to operate on a coins only system with each chapter costing about 20 coins, with 40 rewarded for certain missions. I’m hate the new system and a lot of users seem to feel the same on the app based on the comments. Either fix the system so that it isn’t so greedy for peoples income, or bring back one of the old systems.

Amazing stories, but a horrible system.. The stories on here are simply awesome, but the way the app is set up prevents any progress in the story. Sure you can purchase coins, but with each chapter having its own cost it’s just not worth it because you can’t guarantee any certain amount of chapters. It’s not that I would mind paying money either, if they had a subscription service where you payed monthly for access to all the stories, I would instantly subscribe to it, but the lack of a reasonable system to read more is honestly the reason this app isn’t as popular as it could be. Even if the subscription or whatever system just allowed you to unlock one story a month, that would still be way more reasonable than the current system. I really think the stories of this app could take it so far, but the obvious grab just for money without any sort of care to make it a reasonable grab, could honestly be the thing that brakes it.

Very expensive. So I have been using webnovel for 3 months. I spent about south of $200. Positive: many good novels. I have used babelnovel for 5 years and I have to put up with bad grammar and terrible translations. Webnovel is much better. Negative: extremely expensive!!! Some novel has over a thousand chapters. $100 will net me around 6000 coins using paypal. A thousand chapters would cost 12k to 20k coins. In effect, most books will cost you over $200 to finish. That is if the book is complete. I’m reading a novel at 200 chapters and there are 60 plus chapters only available if you purchase privileges. For 60 chapters, it would costs around 500 coins plus another 5000 coin to pay for the privilege. That is almost $100 for 60 chapters. And there are many filler chapters, which just there to fill up words. I would not recommended this app even though they have a lot of contents, because it is extremely expensive.

Crazy expensive!!. The amount of coins you eat up just to finish one book is crazy expensive!! Easily spend up 200$. Their reward system requirements for subscription is ridiculous, how is it possible to inv someone new friend and for mere 5exp. And the read ahead privilege system is also terrible. You can buy privilege to read up to 5-10 chp ahead at 600 coins and up (that’s roughly 10$) but it’s only one time thing! Limitation on the amount of fast pass you can spend? Forcing you to spend money on coins! Each chapter is literally 6 pages! I noticed they get shorter the moment you have to spend coins to unlock them. They’re so cheap with their readers! They’re all about getting you to spend 100$ on a book, which you can purchase for way less at a book store. They care more about stealing your money than about royalties to readers!

Filled with greed and endless ads. Webnovel has been rapidly becoming greedier and greedier. They've implemented privilege systems where you can purchase the right to buy unreleased chapters-which you can't pay for via fastpass (which is the inferior free currency they changed the coins system into - they expire after three weeks and you can get three a day, each one buys a chapter). It costs upwards of $50 to buy the ability to buy the unreleased next 50 chapters of your favorite book, and even that is only good for 30 days. Not the date you bought it from though, some arbitrary date and time. Better plan ahead! And it used to be that at least you'd get a 50% discount on the final purchase of the actual chapters after you'd spent your fifty dollars, but nope, webnovel decided even that was too generous and got rid of it. So it's another $25 for the actual chapters. $75 to catch up to your favorite book. Rubbish greedy company. Ads - within the last six months the app has gotten relentless with constantly recommending you crap and forcing you to find the way to exit a preview when all you wanted to do was check for updates. There's usually at least two previews you must click through whenever you touch the app. And then, when you want to back out of the preview, it asks you "are you sure mr. user?" **** off. A year ago I used to grudgingly accept the greed and would spend money on the app but now it's just so shameless that I can't bear it anymore.

Disappointed.. For those who wants Webnovel, the system has changed. When I first got Webnovel, it used spirit stones as currency. You can earn spirit stones by watching a video, daily logins, voting with energy and power stones, posting a comment. Of course, these spirit stones have a expiration day but as long as you keep collecting daily, you can keep reading. HOWEVER, the creators have change spirit stones into coins and everything I mentioned about earning spirit stones has turn into exp or free pass. There are only three free pass, so if you have many stories you want to read and they cost coins then you can use free pass to unlock that chapter. But you can only unlock three chapters and it also limit stories you read if you have no more coins to unlock chapters. Free readers, meaning those who don’t use or can’t afford to use real money, are going to have a hard time because there’s no way to earn coins. You have to use real cash to buy coins. Return Webnovel to how it used to be

Issues. While the stories on this app are really entertaining, it comes at the price of usability. The app will fail to keep track of story progress regularly. I have only been on four times so far, all across a two day span. However, it has already missed my spot twice now. The first time it was only a couple of “chapters”, but this second time it was several behind. This hurts your reading since you only get so many free chapters, and I’m not going to spend money to read more than I’m already given if half of it will be wasted when I get back on. So far I have not found a chapter list button while reading. If there is one it isn’t obviously shown, as the screen is rather clean of objects to click on, and should be easy to see. If it would have this feature then it would be much better and worth spending money on it. With the fun rewards system put in place and the big selection of captivating stories, a fix to this chapter glitch would easily make this a four or five star app.

Great. I really like how the formatting of the app is organized but there is one thing I would like to point out. The quotes that you pick out for the people to attract people into recommending books are kind of squished together and it falls out of place when I want to take interest in some of the recommended books but the size font irritates me. I know that the app does not allow the screen to flip to the side so for me, the most important adjustment to the app should be the quotes used to recommend web novels. If that is fixed, then I will have a great time exploring instead of getting my mood ruined because of something irritating. Other than that, I really love the books that you have come out with and translated so keep up the good work. I hope to see new and more exciting releases and read more good web novels that you guys have.

Used to be better. I have been using this app for years, and on the plus side there are hundreds of good light novels to read.... Now for the down side. The site has since switched from watching some ads to read a chapter, to being very limited in what you can read for “free” and having some kinda pricy paywalls as roadblocks. Next and the major reason I am only giving it a 2 star; is lack of QC. A few years ago on the app we had a promise of dedicated translation teams that were pumping out the novels with usually decent quality. Now Webnovel has switched to a trial system were we get a sampling trial of usually very similar mass produced novels, with MTL level quality. So on the plus side we still have hundreds of novels to read here. On the downside most of the recent additions are a lot of samey novels, in which you can expect the translators to constantly switch the genders of the characters... often multiple times in the same chapter.

Tons of Selection, but costs too much. There are a ton of options, but I have a few suggestions. First, make it easier for readers to gain experience so we can level up and have access to more free chapters daily. Second, the chapters shouldn’t cost so much individually. It costs more to read these books this way than it would to buy a novel from a store. If the reader is smart and economically minded, they figure out pretty quick they’re not getting their money’s worth. Third, your authors should be held to a higher standard. I read three books in a row from the daily recommended list where every 4 or 5 sentences a key word was left out or the paragraph/sentence wasn’t finished at all, leaving me to have to guess what it should have said for the story to make sense. That gets really old and frustrating to read. At this point, the membership looks like a waste of money. I’m going to finish the book I’m currently reading and will probably leave the app after that.

Novels cost way to much. So just rough math here don’t make sense say you get membership. You get 500 coins and ten coins 10 daily means one chapter. So you will never catch up to 2146 chapters. Which by the way are small maybe 1-2 pages if your lucky in a real book if you count spacing. 500 coins is roughly 62.5 chapters. Which you could blow through if you can read normally in a matter of a few hours. Say you spent the 100 dollars for the 5k still only 625 chapters. If you wanted to finish a series to catch up would need close to 4 to 5 time that to finish that is just way to much for a novel even a series of major sellers, sells for maybe half that to a third of that. Not saying there work isn’t great cause it is but not worth that much sorry. Plus getting coins is a joke there is no real way to level quickly there system is trash. Also chapter costs varies. So you could get less. I say milk it as long as they can but I am sure this Web novel will eventually die out just to over priced.

Quite the big oof.. This review is solely for the web comic part of the app, I have not tried the others and definitely will not be trying them after my experience. Terrible app, you have to pay for every single chapter you want to read, and apparently you can get like one free chapter per day. Horrible. They should do it like WEBTOON does, where all old chapters are free after they have been out for a couple of weeks. This alone stops you from reading practically anything. Even worse was, when I did get my daily free chapter, the chapter loaded at about three frames every minute or two, and eventually just stopped. So the one paid chapter that I actually tried to read, I couldn't. And I know it wasn't just me, because the in-chapter comments, called "bulletags" were just a bunch of people saying that the chapter won't load. Terribly set up, everything's behind a paywall, and once you get behind the paywall it just decides to never load. Don't bother downloading this, just stick with LINE WEBTOONS.

Great ap!. Really enjoy reading the books so far! I like the vast variety! I would suggest that since it really is ( as it’s been stated in quite a few reviews) expensive to be able to read! Don’t get me wrong your pricing isn’t a whole lot different from other apps. The problem I have is that they are essentially books. So it makes sense to charge a little higher for new releases! Why not take the older books and offer (and suggest) them to readers a a discounted full price rate? This way I can still read and wait on the new chapters on my new releases but also have a book I can read and complete? This would keep readers more interested in staying with you. I’ve dropped two other apps because they are taking too long on chapters and lost my interest. Hope this helps! Plus! You can make more money off older, but good books!

EXPENSIVE. Let me start with the positive. The content of the books in this app is so great, and unique, and worth the time to read. I’d be giving this app a five star review if there weren’t some things that needed to be worked on. Now let me expand on the one star. This app is free to download, but by no means is it free to read these books. Don’t get me wrong, the first fifty chapters of each book are free and that’s great, until you realize that some of these books have thousands of chapters and each chapter costs between 12¢ and 20¢. The membership is $8 a month and nets you roughly one chapter a day. So by that logic if you only bought the membership and spent no more, it’d take you over two and a half years to maybe catch up to where an author is releasing chapters for ONE BOOK. Then there’s a system called privilege which is another money pit in itself. The overall cost is a huge huge flaw for this app. The developers desperately need to find a way to fix it otherwise there is no point wasting your valuable time/money on this app.

Offensive stor. So as soon as I downloaded this app it told me to create an account which I did. Nothing wrong there. Then the app asked me if I wanted, “Girl stories or Boy stories.” I think that’s a bit sexist, plus I like all stories which is only one problem with this app. As soon as I picked an option the app suddenly brought me to a random story which I didn’t even pick. The main character of this particular comic is mildly rude and VERY offensive. For some examples, she is being chased by wolves and says, “I’m too skinny, don’t eat me!” Not that bad, right? Well then she meets this guy from a cheetah clan and he brings her to their village. She starts to swoon over the “hot guys.” But as soon as she sees a group of females from the clan she frickin insults them! She says “They can’t be from the same clan as these hot guys! They have big pointy noses, and they’re wearing crop tops even though they have belly fat!” Like JEEZ are you trying to offend people. I had enough and deleted this horrible app. Go read WEBTOON. It’s 10 times better than this offensive bull crap.

It’s great but it has some issues. The app is great! I love the layout and everything you have on it but there are some issues. Sometimes when I go on to it it logs me out and when I try to log back it it never works so I all ways have to reset my phone. I wasn’t going to say anything earlier but it happened to me this morning. When I eventually did log in, my whole library was gone! Luckily, it saved my process in the books and kept the unlocked chapters but there are still some books that I don’t know if I’ll find as I am bad with remembering names. Please fix this because I would rather not have to go through this again. Recently the app has been acting up again. It won’t let me read chapters and says that it’s offline. I’ve checked my WiFi to see if that was the problem (it’s not). I honestly don’t know what to do anymore. 😅

Extremely Expensive and still haven’t read one full book. I have paid almost $20 and still haven’t read one full book. It is the most confusing app as I can’t figure out how to earn free coins which would help me not have to spend so much money and I can’t figure out the majority of the other things that also might help. A couple times I go to sign in and it won’t sign me in on the day it is because their serve it actually UTC+8 which means I have to sign in first thing in the morning or my continuous days gets screwed which isn’t always available for me to do (some people have jobs and can’t read till the evening). Customer support didn’t really care about that when I questioned them about it. Overall I am going to wonder about the endings of the 2 stories I started and really was enjoying but I could have read 8-15 other books depending on price and actually had full stories. I don’t recommend this app unless you have lots of extra money growing on trees.

It’s great BUT. I was so tempted to give this a 1-Star rating but I couldn’t because I loved the books that I’m reading so much. I love Webnovel but honestly I am currently so disappointed due to the elite membership subscription being discontinued. I get it some authors are being disadvantaged but readers are too. We don’t have so much money to spend on SS and trust me there’s so many good books! I barely even discovered the subscription when you took it away. I added so many books in hopes that I could read and enjoy it but no. Now I can’t even read most of it because to be honest I got better things to spend my money on. I would $30 monthly just to subscribe and read unlimited but not for SS because we all know some book chapters cost over 11SS. I have stopped reading and only focused on a few books that I really love but even then ... I’m still thinking of dropping WN.

Membership but still.... I’m a hardcore manga reader so when I found this app I was excited. I found myself spending the 5$ to be able to get coins, voting to get extra points etc. then I found myself at 4 am buying the membership and even after those 700 coins were used I still hadn’t finished the manga, as that only got me like 40 or so pages. (When I start a good manga I don’t stop till it’s done). My thing is. The voting does the authors no good if people are just voting to read longer. And if I’m paying 10$/month, I should be able to have unlimited access. 300coins a month only gets you like 20 or so pages. If your reading multiple mangas at a time then u don’t get to read much. I’m sorry but at that point I might as well just go buy the actual manga books. I can go to places like 2nd n Charles and get a manga for 4$. Not sure if I will be keeping my membership at this point.

For the most part enjoyable. I like the layout, the presentation and recommendations. Overall the app is good, there are some issues with login sometimes but it tends to be easily resolved. The thing I dislike are the prices. I mean seriously. You get to read a hundred chapters of something and then the remaining 900 will cost you almost 100 dollars to catch up. It’s sort of ridiculous. The prices for the in app currency are ridiculous and I would love it if I could just buy the book as a whole or get a subscription or something. I’ve started reading the stories here and finishing them on other readers which offer the same stories for free. Try introducing some new mechanics to get coins or rework your subscription model. I won’t be able to afford this for much longer. And I think I’m an exception.

Good but.... I love this app soooooo much but am a bit frustrated because of premium and fast pass/coins. As a reader that doesn’t use money on the app I have to ignore books with premium altogether because after a certain chapter you have to pay to read. Premium is similar with the book that use fast pass and coins except that you get 3 free fast past a day (one for checking in and two for voting for your favorite books) there are also events but they are kind of rare unless your an author (if so I recommend this app A LOT) and you can get points to redeem fast passes but even though I read a lot I usually only redeem one per week. Although these things annoy me I still love the app and if you are a free reader that is okay with dealing with this you should definitely get the app. Also if you can pay for coins I recommend the app even more!😁

BESTT APP EVERR!!. This is literally the best novel app ever. When I first started getting into small stories and novels this was the app that I used. The authors are amazing writers. There are variety of choices and it keeps you wanting more!! I won’t even tell you how many sleepless nights I had because of this app🤣. The only downfall is that the app is a bit expensive. I’ve had for a few years and I’m pretty sure I’ve spent over thousands of dollars on it. Like it gives options on how much you spend for a certain amount of coins. For example, for .99 you can get 50 coins and each chapter costs around 8 coins, which may vary based on the book. I know ppl are thinking “what, why spend that much on books,” of course it’s worth it!!!!

The Cultural Experience is Great, BUT.... It’s really expensive for the experience. I’ve had this app for over a year, almost two. I end up spending more money than I intend, even with the membership. It was worth it for a little while because there was a discount weekend that I took advantage of at least once a month. But that’s gone. And the free passes I have to get require reading new novels I’m not always interested, or I am interested in but it just keeps adding to the pile in my list. I’ll never be able to finish any books without spending a ton of money. Buying a whole 6 book series in the “real world” is cheaper than a single novel on this platform. And now, the free passes have to spent carefully because if a chapter costs above 15 coins, it requires the use of two passes. This is incredibly disappointing and annoying. Wasn’t a fan. I am not a big fan of this app. There are way better ones that are easier to access comics or novels. My big issue is the free pass thing or whatever. I’m just a broke teenager trying to find new comics to read in her free time. I already have WEBTOON, manga rock, tapas, and webcomic. I’m reading almost one hundred comics at the moment. All update on different days so I have something to read everyday. I decided to get this app because I saw an ad for it and it looked interesting. I’ve read some of the other reviews and I agree with the struggle. The thing about unlocking chapters with a time limit is pretty weird. It seems like this was a new thing the app did and now it’s just weird and overly complicated. The recent reviews for the app are not great. Hopefully the people in charge will take the peoples opinions into consideration. But I doubt it. This is my first time writing a review so I’m sorry if it’s all over the place. I’d say overall, I don’t think this app is worth it. Hope my opinion was helpful.

OVERPRICED!! Luxury Web Reading Service. Love the amount of content. I love watching Asian dramas and discovered most come from a web series, manga or novel. Back to the app..I like the warnings they offer if you’re not into certain content. Back to the cost.. I chose a book that had 415 chapters, it’s completed. First 100 or so free. I already spent $10 for 600 power stones it got me to about chapter 220. I purchased another 165 for $3 and that got me to 251. Do the math I’ll need to spend another $13-15 to finish the book! Seriously!!!!!?? Who pays $26 for a book? That’s unheard of unless you only buy hardbacks. Lus the authors want you to vote and send gifts..so their book can be ranked high. Makes since since there are bestseller lists for books...but it’s an upfront price for the book. 🤷🏽‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️So this isn’t the app for you unless you only read occasionally. If you’re trying to keep up with all the content they have available you could spend hundreds per month. Goodbye Webnovel 👋😢

Great Choices, Not wallet friendly. The options for stories are great no complaints about the content. It’s not the most expensive app for comics and manga, but it’s definitely on the more expensive side. I recommend Webtoon, Tapas, Manta, Tappytoon, and Pocket Comics rather then this app. They are much more wallet friendly. There’s no standard to how many coins per episode, and the don’t offer deals for unblocking a bulk of episodes. The price to purchase coins isn’t the issue, it’s the amount of coins to unlock a episode, if the added a deal for unlocking a bulk of episodes I’d redo my rating. I named different apps that are more wallet friendly. I’d give it five stars if it was, but this is that much of an issue. I’ve seen the reviews other people have left and it’s the same thing I’m saying, so I doubt they’ll look to change it. I’ve read reviews from last year and the year before.

Found a bug but love the app. I’ve been reading books by some of the creators and get hooked super fast. The way to get around the app could use some work as it feel clunky trying to get from book to book in the library. The bug I found keeps the app from connecting to the internet when I freshly open the app. I have to open up a book through a notification in order to make my way to the book I was previously reading. I have only seen this bug happen today so it may fix itself. Im tired of being pumped while trying to read multiple chapters at a time only to get hit with a network problem when my data is working on other apps. Please fix this bug... I would really love to continue the books I’m reading uninterrupted by this bug. I hope that the devs see my review as I know it’s long.

Great App but. I found this App via a Facebook ad and having been enjoying it for the last few months. I enjoy the content and daily recommendations, I have spent several afternoons comfortably bundled in a blanket reading chapter upon chapter. I even invested in the Membership. What I don’t fully understand is the privilege system, I was able to purchase it last month and made great use of it over the holidays (vacation time allowed for more reading). Knowing that Privilege status expires at the end of the month I wanted to secure it again (in addition o the monthly membership fee). However I am completely unable to locate how I purchase and it is frustrating to know that I am paying for a monthly membership and still have to purchase coins to unlock chapters to keep any sort of pace with reading. I wish there was a clear description of what membership provides and how to secure privilege access.

Huge issue with privilege feature. Do not bother to spend the money on reading with the privilege, it’s a total waste for you and a way they grab onto your money. They do not base it off the last chapter you read but rather the last chapter officially released. Meaning, if the last chapter released is chapter 167, and the chapters released under privilege go to chapter 166 at the time then yes you need 10 chapter privilege. BUT, if another chapter releases later, and your privilege just expired and you think it would be as simple as getting 1 chapter privilege, you’re wrong. You have to repurchase 10 chapter privilege for that single chapter that has been released. They do not see this as a problem as I found out when I reached out to the help service. They literally did not help me at all and with a bachelor’s in computer science and software engineering, I can imagine the easy fix for the requirements of fixing this issue. I DO NOT recommend the privilege reading. Just do your best and wait it out for the release.

I Like It But... It has interesting stories and I like drawings but I don’t like clicking ads to get fast passes for reading more pages. It’s very limited 2-4 fps each day and 1-3 mostly costs 3 fps each page. I wanted to read more pages of same books. I stopped paying last year because it’s expensive like $10 for 500 coins I vaguely remember but I do remember my thought was that it’s expensive. I think there are many ways to get fps and coins but I dont like it. It seems hard to use , for example, click on power vote , it takes me to next page where I click to vote to get fp and I dont know where it is and/or click on a book and i dont see fp add from it. So I click power to vote only one way is go to my saved books page and click on “vote” and there add a fp. I had to delete this webnovel app. Just being honest, I like Manta a lot better than this app because it’s unlimited as I pay monthly for it and read a few or more pages and more. It’s easy to use.

Enjoyed it for a time. I am an avid reader. I find a book I like I read it to finish in one sitting, if I can. This app was nice for when I went to work (3-4 hour round trip daily) and i could download the books that caught my interest in advanced so i didn't need to use data. It even had a premium service which was around $27 a month for unlimited reading. It did have some bugs like when you first open the app you would lose the navigation bar so you would need to close the app and reopen it or logging you out at random though it only did that to me once. Unfortunately one of their updates has removed the premium service from the app (their website never had or even promoted it to begin with) and so it has gone back to requiring you to be connected with either data or wifi to read chapters because you need to unlock each one individually. So as of now, the app has lost most of why i used it. Plenty of enjoyable reading experiences but cant really use it on the go any more.

Worst by day. I have been using this app for a few years now and before I was able to read up to 3 chapters per day with fast passes. Now they given the chance for writers and the app itself to rip off the people that support them. To read one chapter I need to either buy coins or get it for 3-4 passes (for a single chap). Well that’s such a turn off cuz sometimes I need to wait up to 3 days to read again to make up the cost of that chapter. Before it was only 1 pass per chap. I’m a person that feels bored when I have to wait for days to read a chap. I feel like it kills the joy out of the story. It ain’t working for time anymore. I used to love it cuz it was different from the other apps and I felt they were more considerate of those who have a hard time to be able to pay for membership or daily coins but now it has become the same as others. It is very disappointing.

Amazing content, Customer support very lacking.. I am glad at this app allows me to read some of my favorite comics but the customer support when comes to fixing errors is terrible. I reported that multiple pages were missing from multiple chapters in a comic that I was reading to a customer support and I was sent an email saying that it was fixed. However, when I went back the pages were still missing. I got in contact with the customer support and they said they’ll get it fixed. I have not heard back since the pages are still missing it has been over a week. There may be even more chapters missing pages but I only reported the 4 that I bought. They need to have someone go through all the chapters because it is clear somebody botched their job very badly on multiple chapters and I don’t even know how many there are 100+ chapters uploaded. If it wasn’t for this issue I would give it a 5star.

It’s good but I think it can be better. Out of all the comic/graphic novel apps I have used, Webnovel has one of the best stories and variety of stories. It’s a very well organized app and I would probably use this app more then the others comic apps if it let you read more chapters for free. I know that it’s hard to let readers do that since buying chapters support the artists. If your not able to do that then maybe the app can let the readers earn coins, free passes, etc. easier. The coins you earn from completing the goals that are on the app right now barely even give you enough coins to read one chapter. I really just want to be able to finish a story but it’s hard when you can only so little coins or free passes. The app is really good and has one of the best varieties of comics and novels out of the other comic apps but the coin and fast pass situation is pretty junk.

Cannot change Robotic TTS narrator. I basically do not read anything anymore if I don’t have access to Text to Speech. The issue I’m having is that no matter what I do (and I have looked into this problem as I’m not the only one who has it) I cannot change the voice to anything other than the horribly robotic Samantha. I tried to change it to Aussie Karen (as that voice is at least more natural than Samantha). I tried to change it to Siri too. You are supposed to go into you accessibly and change the voice there, but regardless of what voice I use, it doesn’t update from Samantha. What is frustrating is that there are plenty of people who this works for. But it does not work with my iPhone 14. I am very upset about this bug. What makes it worse is that they made it difficult to use my web text to speech app on their website so I have to go through this broken app. It’s idiotic. If they fix this issue I will update my review.

Good but too pricey!!. I like the app, and there are a lot of really good stories. I wish though they wouldn’t let you start a book that was still being written, you end up waiting forever to read the rest. I also don’t like that when you subscribe monthly, you can’t even finish a quarter of the books with the points allotted. You’d think they would give you more to keep you subscribed. Not just that, you pay for the subscription, then pay for more points, then they want you to pay to unlock chapters. You could go to the store, and pay less for a completed book, or sign up for Amazon’s book subscription where you pay $100 for unlimited year round. What would also be cool if there was an audio selection , where you can listen with earbuds while busy. Probably won’t stay subscribed or keep app for long due to high costs. Read other reviews before downloading, may not be worth starting as expensive as it has become.

Webnovel.... So when is it enough from y'all? You've lost most of your user base. The authors and readers still there feel dead inside to be on your platform, with the (mobile) readers especially, ready to jump ship if y'all monetize one friggin more thing. Get it? Mobile? Because you stopped offering fast passes to website readers 🥰Progress doesn't mean good. There needs to be a serious culture shift from corporate to go back to what made webnovel great. Bring back ads. Bring back spirit stones. Bring even a real response from webnovel, who have been elusive and shifty from day one. Y'all don't even seem to care about your statistics.... which is baffling, but hey, if you want to be a dead platform, you're definitely succeeding😄

They had a great thing going for the readers.. For about 2-3 months they had a subscription service that I used. I read stories from multiple websites and this one used to be a lesser used one. Then they had the subscription service that I used and I would read almost completely one this app because I no longer had to deal with those spirit stones. Instead I used them to give gifts to the stories. Now that the subscription is gone I can only get about 20 spirit stones a day witch could be at most 4 short chapters. So either I wait for more stones or I could start a new book only to end up at a pay wall again. They said it was for the writers and translators to get paid more but who really knows. I doubt they were making more than extra spending money. Edit: they don’t stop there money grubbing ways. Now they are making you pay like $40 to read a extra 50 chapters ahead and who knows what’s next. For now on I’m just going to look for these books for free. I don’t care if they’re stolen from here. I have always been one to support authors and translators but not those from Webnovel.

Beware!!!. I would tell people not to use this site if they don’t want to be scammed. But if you still make the foolish decision then let me warn you that I have never encountered a company as corrupted as this. Do not purchase privileged chapters!! You will have to pay for the same content on here twice. Chapters you already paid for will disappear unless you pay an additional 20 dollars just to keep them and that is only for ONE book you will have to pay additional for other chapters for different authors which is about 20 dollars for 10 chapters. Mind you at the end of every month all chapters purchase under “privileged” you will no longer have access too unless you pay again or wait another month or two until that chapter is released which IS NOT clearly stated in the terms before purchasing and customer service is a joke and won’t refund your money even if you just purchased and haven’t read anything they keep your money and tell you to have a nice day. Highway robbery at its finest.
