Not Perfect. Battleheart and Battleheart Legacy are two of my favorite mobile games of all time. This entry to the series is a nice step in the right direction, but there are a few ideas and mechanics I feel it is lacking. To touch on the positives, though, the new graphics are amazing, and I am thoroughly enjoying the progression system for characters and their equipment. However, I think the skill system of the previous two games were more in depth and rewarding than this one. Also, I would like to see some more characters that I need to unlock or hire, instead of having them all available from the start. As soon as these things are fixed, it’s a 5 star review from me.

Sad but true. Battle heart 2 is a major disappointment after playing battle heart legacy, legacy brought very light story and missions to make it feel like you were playing for something and was also not as chaotic because you were only controlling the one character that said if you like the first battle heart you will like this one because it's essentially the same game but it is just a time waister with you trying to level up for a couple of hours to beat a boss for no reason that you know of and rinse and repeat.i for one was hoping for more after legacy

“(Please add a function to save all new files)”. Hello everyone, developer, developers team How are you guys doing I see new update was 3 yrs ago… :/ What do you guys not have enough to be encouraged to do more updates this series is very important to continue are you guys out of ideas for updates is that the issue? My suggestion today is to add save to iCloud all files that I made to enjoy not “Just one… thats not enough guys please make an update for all the file upload saving that would be something you guys can work on and help you guys have a goal to working too. Please reply to this review if there is an answer for me and How was my review? ^_^ <3 Best Regards, Sincerely, Take care and talk you all soon!, Vadim <3

Very fun game. For $3.99 I got approximately 14 hours of entertainment. I think that is a phenomenal deal considering you can’t really do much of anything for $3.99 today. The game is fun with easy mechanics. I wish it was a little bit longer, but I’m not holding that against the Developer for the cost of the game. When I read some of the reviews, I think some of these gamers are delusional. They expect way too much for nothing. There are zero micro transactions in this game. Just paid about four bucks and enjoyed the heck out of this game. Thank you!

Missing something from the original. It’s okay. I liked that there are so many classes but something just felt missing in this game. I felt like there were only really 4 levels and 4 bosses because of the randomly generated levels. It just felt sort of flat and missing something. I loved the original Battleheart with different hand crafted levels. If I wanted randomization I would just play the arena. It eventually became a massive grind fest until you were strong enough to beat the boss... not a game of micromanagement and strategic timing.

Not bad for the money but,. The progression and “battle locator” system are just lazy. Click here to fight a few waves and get “X.” Do this 30 times and buy this chest that will almost always have an item for a class you aren’t even using... Do this enough times and progress to do the same thing again. No late game thought put into this at all. It’s just a p2w freemium game without the option to buy your way through. No story, no direction, the only intelligent thing in the game is the Necro skelly, at least they will seek out enemies in battle and wont stand off to the side spectating like the main heroes.

Excellent Update to the Original. If you enjoy mobile action RPGs, you have to give the Battleheart series a shot. BH2 is an excellent successor to the original, and incorporates some nice touches from Legacy. This is not a Legacy sequel, so keep that in mind - if you’re looking for the same gameplay experience you had there, it isn’t quite the same. But BH2 is loads of fun in its own right. At just $4, this has to be the best enjoyment-per-dollar game I have played at release in recent memory.

Great game like the first one. GREAT GAME! Looking forward to Battleheart 3. This version cancelled the skill tree but talents are equally awesome. Didn’t get a single legendary before winning the game though. Still, I hope the game improves its way of selecting heroes. Instead of tapping on the hero, players should be able to select them, say, at the bottom of the screen where pictures of heroes show up. Most of my failures during battle come from selecting a false hero and sending them to die. It is also easier to access skills this way. It is also possible to add joystick to the playing style I discussed, which most people are familiar with.

Ok but not as good as the previous. Graphics are better but I think that’s about it. What made Battleheart Legacy better than this is the actual story and npc interaction. No story, no towns, no dungeons you can actually explore. Buying gear is also not as fun, clicking through a menu instead of actually going to an armorsmith or weaponsmith is just not right. Armor and weapons don’t change how your characters look as well. Why? I feel thats a total downgrade...not being able to make your own hero as well...loses a lot of personality. I hope you guys bring back some of the features, I loved battleheart legacy.

Awesome!!!. Incredible game. Played the original for many many hours and this one is no different. Excellent game in my honest, 30 years of gaming, not as a casual, opinion. Mika mobile deserve way more credit as this game is way better than some so-called “Triple A” games. The bad reviews are likely from children, which, yeah, I guess this isn’t Fortnite. Please keep updating and caring for this game and others like it. I’ve been a fan for 10 years and I don’t expect that to change. That said, everything from the original has been improved. When I say original I don’t mean Battleheart: Legacy. That is another incredible game but has a different formula than this one. I mean Battleheart. Graphics look great in this game and run smoothly on an iPhone 12 Pro Max. Controls feel more fluid and responsive than the first entry and the additions are all welcome. If you like a challenge I recommend upping the difficulty from the beginning. For me, it was better, MUCH better. Hopefully there will be a Battleheart 3 or more content someday. One can hope.

Great game!. Battleheart 2 was one of the first games I’ve played for more than a few hours straight on my phone, and I loved every minute of it. But, I would like the chance to be able to play a game with someone, just to help them out and stuff. And, yes it does have multiplayer, but you have to know exactly where to go to play. A page for open rooms would be the only thing this game needs!

Excellent Game, Great Developers. I always anticipate any release by Mika Mobile and Battleheart 2 was worth the wait. I love the party leveling system that allows you to swap classes in and out without being crippled (as long as you have gear for them). The flexibility in which mission you choose is nice in that you can grind for enchanting materials, skill books, or gold to buy gear. And the deep talent line for each character allows you to really power up a character, even early on when you have weak gear. And in classic Mika style there are no bs timers or paywalls. Just pure fun old school style gaming with new ideas. You won’t find many games that don’t try to murder your piggy bank on mobile these days. Support these guys so they can keep making great games like this.

Best Game in the App Store. This game takes the things that made the first game great to the next level. And you do not need to be someone who played the first battleheart to love battleheart 2. A beginner can pick up gameplay quickly and slowly challenge you as you play through the game. Rewards feel earned. Characters and environments are more detailed and visually appealing. More character classes to choose from and the new system for buying and upgrading weapons and powers has been expanded upon significantly. The game is very good size (less than half a gig)for the amount of gameplay it offers. Deleting the first game from my phone after having it for years nearly gave me separation anxiety since it was so good and that was after 100+ hours of gameplay. Saving your profile to the cloud is an excellent advance. The only suggestion I have would be to add an in app purchase option for adding more bosses, and character costumes. It would be advantageous to offer an in app purchase option for more levels, characters, and bosses for those fans that can't get enough, and can't wait another few years for more!

Decent but was hoping for great. I beat the game in about four days. There are only four bosses in the game and it doesn’t take long to beat it. There could have been more in the game to keep people playing longer than a week. It’s really just the grinding the same levels over and over until your guys get strong enough to beat the next boss and repeat process. Graphics are solid, sound effects are decent, controls are good, storyline (there isn’t one) is not good, and gameplay is lacking. I waited years for this app but after beating it in a few days there isn’t a reason to ever open it again. I’m sad.

Multiplayer is unplayable. I used to love this game. My boyfriend and I were so happy that we could team up and play together in multiplayer. We had a few crashes here and there at the start, but since the new update, multiplayer is now impossible. We will get pretty far in arena, but now it crashes when we’re on our last wave and we don’t get any of the rewards. We’ve faced problems in story mode too. Now, we just play by ourselves so that we can make progress towards the characters. I’m disappointed, but I genuinely do like the style of the game. The characters are very fun and different.

Boring. There’s really nothing that special about this game... having been an app store gamer since at its inception way back in the days of doodle jump, angry birds, and pocket god, i was looking for a good full game i could play on flights that didn't require an internet connection and had no in app purchases. Unfortunately quality games like those don’t exist anymore and i was disappointed with this particular games’ lack of depth. Combat is repetitive and lacks... fun. Its not a one star because being able to customize your team and level your characters are this games’ only redeeming qualities. Not worth your money

Good, but leaves best parts of legacy behind. I guess if I had played the original I would be more into this one. I still to this day play legacy and the story and fun side quests make it a lasting game. This has none of that. The combat is also a bit clunky for this style of game in which there are much better systems currently out there. Having to click on each character and drag them around while awkwardly trying to dodge and activate skills is cumbersome. I’m glad there is a new Battleheart out there, but it needs some help which many other reviews have noted.

Battleheart 2. While Battleheart Legacy and the original Battleheart were absolute hits, this new game is a pretty big disappointment. They mixed the combat system between the first two games, and it feels awful. I don’t want to play the old Battleheart. Still no PVP after years of everyone asking, and still the same classes with the same abilities. If Mika Mobile actually listened to their customers, Battleheart 2 could’ve been more successful than Battleheart Legacy. This game gets 2 stars because Mika Mobile won’t ever add any dlc content or updates, nor respond to anyone’s opinions or concerns with the game. Save your money and play Battleheart 1 or Legacy instead.

Good, but could be improved. I’ve waited 7 years for Mika to release the sequel to Battleheart, and playing Battleheart 2 has renewed my passion for mobile games again. However, there are a few things I’d like to suggest for future improvements: the character based levelling system from the original Battleheart is a lot more captivating than the current party-levelling system as it gives a sense of progression. Battling through hundreds of ogres to get a character to level 20 was so rewarding, and the skill-point system just seems slightly boring. Also, the sounds of battle could be improved, as they’re identical to the original Battleheart sounds - it gets boring very quickly listening to the same sounds from the original game. Finally, although I’m sure they’re planning on implementing this in future updates, it would be nice to have more characters and skills for each character.

Best game on the App Store. I’ve been waiting since 2011 for the sequel and Mika Mobile, you guys crushed it. Don’t purchase the game expecting an amazing story, you won’t get one and that’s not what they intended on delivering. What you WILL get is an incredibly, addicting sandbox experience of real-time tactical combat. What I love about the sequel is it encourages you to experiment and mess around. Now thanks to multiplayer I can get my girlfriend to play with me and we can have that social experience. Also, thank you for not making this a F2P game with micro transactions. You easily could have gone down that route and created friction mechanics to get me to monetize but you didn’t and I applaud you for that. I will continue to support you guys as I love your games. Thank you, Mika Mobile. Sincerely, Battleheart Fan

No point.. I’ve been playing this game off and on since it came out and I just can’t bring myself to play it. The game is entirely menu based with little arenas you fight in with different backgrounds. The character progression is mildly interesting, but it’s just not enough to keep me playing a game worth seemingly no point. I can’t help but shake the feeling this is just a pretty version of solitaire with no real direction or plot. Battleheart Legacy was amazing, I really wish that’s what they had made instead. Or at the very least given us a world we could interact with a little more, like class trainers or an actual shop merchant. Maybe even a crappy plot or a mini me that walks around the map ... anything to bring the world alive. But alas, there is nothing like that. You click the icon, and boom, your team is in the middle of a room with a random background fighting a few hordes of monsters.

Masterwork. This game provides a ton of fun and meaningful difficulty. Each character can be built many ways and the party combos are very fun. It is thankfully very quick to adapt a character into the party due to party level instead of character level. It is SO refreshing to see a title designed for fun instead of Skinner box pay to win patterns. I hope to see more enemies and bosses in the future but this was worth many times the price. Thank you mikamobile for making something from the heart.

What is this?. What is this? How did we go from an amazing open world that was so classic and fun to this little screen where you are confined to a really annoying battle of swiping your finger towards a bad guy and then you use a skill and then have to just sit there and wait till people have finished their battle??? I was so excited to see this after so long and we went to this format? This was just very lame and made me feel like I was playing a water downed version of what once was. I already deleted it. Please come out with the old format with all these new cool characters that are awesome. The design of characters and skills is still really cool but this game format makes me so sad. I’ll keep playing the last game until they redo this. Beautiful graphics still! Love the art in this game. Looks amazing! 😢.

Headache free w/ spoilers. Team: Cedric(tank), Costello(heal), Mint(heal) and Odette(dps) The max level in this game 30 but can still gain exp to get more to get more skill books. I hit Arena 58 with this team. Yea it’s convenient to have 2 heals for the final boss, those guys freezes one of the healers. Final boss and extra bosses are relatively easy can beat it under 20hrs of gameplay, I’m at 30hrs. Relatively short game and there doesn’t seem to have any item caps. There’s this item stat “deflection” it’s pretty much god mode when level to 100%. Leave it at 90% so you can quit the arena with the exp and bonuses. —> apparently if you surrender our surrender that too. Multiplayer is pretty fun, I wish it was more global play and listing like clash* or if they added more bosses/ map. It’s too easy after 20hrs+ Yea it’s worth $4 I forgot the price but there’s no pay to win on this like those other games where you end up paying $100 for some gems.

Love it. I played Battleheart legacy but not battleheart one. I was skeptical and once I started was afraid it would be too repetitive. I’m now 6 hours in and can’t wait for the next battle or upgrade. Very well done I love it. To the guy complaining about the random loot crates you have the whole issue confused your a complete moron. It is an issue when people pay real world money for it. Not in game resources you can earn in 30 minutes from the arena. 30 minutes for a random legendary is actually too generous. What an idiot. Update at 15 hours in party at lvl 30 beat all bosses have lots of great gear. I really hope there is an expansion because the arena is all I can do at this point and I want more this game is great ! I’ll pay for a to lvl 60 expansion. Thank you for the great game !

Best Mobile Game Everrrrrr. I had a lot of fun with Battleheart, and did not even know Battleheart 2 was in the works! It was a great surprise and I’ve already played a few hours. This game is a much more polished and content-rich version of the first game. There’s a lot more units and abilities, along with tons of loot and fights. Co-op multiplayer is a fantastic edition. I was able to test it out and it worked for the most part (aside from known bugs listed on their support site). One suggestion I do have is to show the unit portrait icons on the battle screen. Sometimes it becomes a mess in larger battles and I lose track of my units. Being able to move them outside of the mess would be great. Keep making amazing games over there at Mika Mobile! I hope to make games as polished as theirs eventually.

A fun game with odd quirks. It’s a lot of fun and a worthy sequel, with some balance and design choices that are weird. I have never WANTED IAP more in a game; if you play a couple battles while waiting in line, it’s fun, but over time it turns into a grind, and I’d love the option to drop $5 to skip some of the more pointless leveling-up fights. The other big problem is, in a busy battle heroes stand literally on top of each other. You need to trigger the special attack of hero A but hero B has the higher Z-order; so then you have to reposition them, which disengages their attack BUT the enemy still hits them. This didn’t make the testers mental? If you liked the first, you’ll love this.

Great game, one glaring issue. I like this game a lot. My friend and I found it and both purchased it after seeing that it had coop multiplayer. Game felt great to play. Felt better multiplayer, controlling two units was much cleaner. HOWEVER, when closing the app for any reason or simply answering a text from a swipe down menu, the game loses all connection to the server and any progress we had on a mission was for nothing. This has to be addressed because it makes the game unplayable on devices with slippery drop down menus. Please I enjoy this game but cannot play it profitably until this is resolved.

Amazing!. Battleheart 2 is an awesome game. It combines remixed assets from the first game with completely new ones. It adds multiplayer, so you can play with your friends for even more shenanigans. The music is beautiful, especially the remixed level end music. If I could add just one thing; however, I would add a temporary remove feature for multiplayer, as there are only 4 characters split among all the players, do each player has to remove some characters.

An Nostalgic Masterpiece. I played the first battleheart when I was a bit younger and I still did up until now. The game nails presentation and is the first sequel that I have seen that both builds on and is an almost identical reincarnation of the last game. The sound effects, the character designs, the abilities, heck even the menu for your save datas look and feel exactly like the last game. The enemies and the music are also identical which is not only charming but also not something you see in a lot of sequels and it really reminded me that I was playing the sequel to battleheart. The gameplay remains fantastic and is somehow better than the first game’s. The art style looks amazing and I think it really recaptures the whole feel of the game, and when I finished the first level and heard the remix of the level finishing sound... I actually had a chill in my spine. This is a great game, but not only that, it is a great sequel.

Love it. I don’t like this as much as the original just because the sense of progression is lost early on. Simply beating the early levels was more satisfying as well as buying the heroes. Everything else I love. Each character feels like they have more progression through the talents and I can see end game being a blast to grind and really feel strong. There are so many heroes it’s great. I only have a few gripes selecting heroes feels odd because they’re all lumped together in a random order. The option to fight already beaten bosses doesn’t seem to be available(might unlock later idk) Overall amazing quality for a mobile game. Mikamobile always make great things and I love that they’re never afraid to try new things. Good job guys!

A fantastic mobile experience. Mika mobile consistently puts out spectacular mobile titles. Many games try to work around mobile controls instead of embracing them, and the Battleheart series is a great example of the latter. This game plays like a dream, and sets the bar for how I expect mobile games to handle. I played a ton of the first Battleheart back in the day and immediately bought the sequel when it came out. Of course everyone will compare it to the first game and so I must as well. The diversity of characters and how you can build and upgrade each one is great, but I was a little disappointed at the relatively low level cap and grindy nature of this game. I think the linear nature of the first game lead to more tuned encounters instead of picking encounters based on rewards. Buying some of the upgrades requires you to run missions over and over again, and quickly lead to me turning down the difficulty at end game to clear encounters faster. The first playthrough felt great though and I will likely make another playthrough with different characters at some point. I easily put 14 hours into my first playthrough and there is definitely room for replayability.

Stunning. The art style for this game is way beyond the previous game’s art style knocking it out of the park. The gameplay is phenomenal and the outstanding upgrade system truly brings this game to light. I do hope to see a few more characters in the future like a long distance Ranger or an evil Shaman healer or even introduce a new class that is like straight up tank/brute. I will probably be binging on this game for the next couple years. Great Job Mika Mobile! UPDATE: I am just going to take a guess since it has been a while, the devs are working on another class for this game. I am begging that you add another dark themed character. It could be a werewolf which would be new and cool. An evil gnome or a good one. Something stand out-ish. A dark healing fairy, an orc ranger. Something that will make the game stand out more to customers like a character who obviously isn’t your regular playable human character. I know you guys have never done this before but why not try it out. I think you will make it excellent!!! Just please add something soon because the App Store games are feeling dry and this game is the only thing that’s keeping me going right now.

Improvements. I love the game and am happy for the sequel but needs a lot more added to it and I would like to be able to see the armor and weapons appear different on my character I don’t like equipping armor or weapons and it looking exactly the same as before I equipped it no appearance change and I’m hoping you guys do a lot of updates on this game because I loved the first one and I’m hoping for this one to be even better. I’d love to see more skills and skill branches on characters and I think pets would be a cool addition to the game too overall so far for a new game it’s not bad though

All Battle, No Heart. Personally I’ve been a huge fan of nearly every MikaMobile game to date, with the original Battle Heart as an all time favorite. I was incredibly excited for this game, and upon opening the app I was thrilled. New graphics, new classes, new mechanics. How fun! However, upon experiencing the gameplay I found it a bit... lacking. In brief summary, here are my problems. -lack of talent tree leaves progress feeling lacking -I don’t feel incentivized to explore and experiment. Paying skill points with a refund cost, doesn’t make me want to try new things -combat feels chaotic and cluttered. Not flowing smoothly -only 3 skills per class leaves them feeling very one dimensional, or having skills I wish I could replace. (Ghost hand or mortal strike) -late game is trivialized by shards. Endless scaling isn’t fun Overall, it’s still a good game. Excellent work. But it doesn’t stack up to the simple elegance of the original. I’m not always hungry to play this game again, unlike the original.

Fun but Quick.. I had a blast playing this game with my girlfriend. with a few minor annoying bugs that boot you from multiplayer server randomly in arena, or if you play from iphone and access your swipe down menu it boots you (which can easily happen accidentally selecting your characters from the top right list). I love the simplicity and customization. I was sad to beat the game in <24hrs play time... but at least i can up the difficulty and play some more...

Add better targeting. I love the hand however it's hard to target certain monsters. Also when everyone is stack it's hard too choose characters to move, can you add like double tapping makes all attack one monster and add a way to target better. Bats are a good example, dragging the line to a bats that's flying isn't always the easiest especially when stacked mobs and payers beast by. Also ranged characters don't target monsters unless they are in mellee range... Write admitting when I tried using one that I could move it simply to not have so many in one area, also add party making with a friend's list. Please make multiplayer better with ability to search for others.

Even better than the original. I’ve been a huge fan of Mika Mobile ever since the first Zombieville and Battleheart were released and time after time without fail I’ve watched them release quality games that restore hope in mobile gaming. Battleheart 2 feels like the original with a beautiful new art style and enough new game mechanics to make it feel like the new amazing game it is without straying too far from it’s roots.

A minor update after 8 years. Arena deep run is broke. First of all I need to say Battleheart has been my favorite ios game since 2011. And even the long-waited Battleheart 2 has added few playability and characters, and there is no story-line whatsoever, I still it. However, what I cannot stand is they don’t set any cap to the level of equipments so that your heroes can kill any enemy with one strike (except arena 40+). Moreover, the experience and level up system is stupid and I’ll show you why. My best arena run is 99 waves and it gives me around 3.2 million experience. And it took me 30 MINUTES to finish leveling up!

I forgot that scores in the App Store scale 4 to 5.. I liked the original. It had some issues being kind of grind-heavy and having imprecise controls but it was excusable for a first in the series. Eventually, I stopped playing because the controls made it more of a hassle than it was worth. Enter the sequel: the problems not fixed and now with loot crates and more grinding. Where the first one made it necessary to replay some levels to improve the characters this one is set up with little progression: you grind and grind until you’re high enough level for the boss stage. This shows a complete lack of respect for the customer. Just because this kind of thing is more abundant now, does not mean you should get away with this bland piece of garbage.

It’s super good. The combat system is perfect for mobile, and it has more depth than most RPGs here. You choose what order to unlock your skills in, you level up, you get better gear, you mix and match characters in your party. The art and music are charming. Battles come in waves and are a few minutes long. It’s hard to stop. “Just one more,” I tell myself at 12:30 a.m. It is a warm and fuzzy RPG experience for classic RPG fans who want to play on a mobile device. Don’t worry if it hasn’t been updated in a while. It’s fun, it works great and it doesn’t need updating. And there are no IAP, so it is designed to be fun the way it is. Buy it once and play for hours and hours.

Return to form :3. Bought this 3 min after it went live. Everything I remember and loved from the first. Legacy was great, but I will be honest, I always missed this format. Only downside, it seems like each character has fewer talents - I miss the huge trees... On the other hand, there's waaaaay more unique heroes, and also the game just launched 2 hrs ago :p Overall, if you loved the first game, buy this hands down, as they definitely leaned into what made the first game great :3

Worst feature in history of gaming. I’m giving this game a 1 star because 0 isn’t an option. I *hate* when games have random loot crates that are hard to get and cost a lot of in-game resources (and real life time) only to reward you with an item that is of NO USE to your characters! Bad bad bad, forever and always, bad design! I spend all that time, buy the treasure chest, and open it to see I got a weapon none of my characters use. I know a lot of big companies do this gimmick, but it’s just that, a GIMMICK. This type of gameplay has really got to stop. Terrible gaming experience and dare I say it teeters on the threshold of being unethical. It’s trash. Think about it. I know you guys are trying to entice your gamers to try another character and that’s why you dropped me a weapon I couldn’t use otherwise, but just no. People are too smart for this kind of ruse nowadays. I’m 100% serious, complete bad decision to put this in your game. Very distasteful. Anyway, enjoy my $4 I instantly shut down and deleted the game as soon as this happened. What a waste of time. 👎

Much more grindy than the original. The graphics are much better and the gameplay is nearly identical. However there’s nowhere near the same feeling of progress. In the original after every fight, you received XP for each character, gold and an item. In B2, you get one of the three. Yes, there’s XP but your characters don’t automatically gain abilities with it. You have to buy them with skill books and skill books you spend on one character aren’t available for anyone else. There’s little overlap in character equipment - all the healers take a different weapon for example - so the design discourages trying the different classes. Sadly, this is the first Mika Mobile game I haven’t enjoyed.

Very fun but lacking depth or progression. I was a huge fan of the first game. I bought all of MikaMobile’s other releases just to support the company! But this game feel so repetitive and lacking in progression. You unlock all your active skills very quickly and never get new ones or change them in a meaningful way, unlike the first game. Within 30 min, the game just becomes an extremely slow grind towards... I don’t know what. You finish a battle with very little reward, upgrade maybe one thing, and then go out and fight another random battle. Rinse and repeat. I’ve always enjoyed the combat, but now it’s missing everything else.

Refreshing. It is great to come back to a game like this after playing many pay to win games. Everything so far has been smooth, no crashes. Seemed grindy till I discovered your heroes are based on group level. So no individual hero level except for skills. Legendary items are random but you never get the same item. Everything you hate about pay games has been addresses. Only down fall is no real pvp interaction. Overall best game of it type since FF Tatics that I have played.

A Legendary Sequel. The characters are well designed and have their own unique set of strengths and weaknesses that are appealing. When I played the original game I stuck to four characters, for the first time I’m interested in playing the game with all of them and seeing how different compositions compete in the arena. Shop system and legendary item acquisition can at times be frustrating but this mirrors similar mechanics in the original game and I think this is an upgrade. Stats and talents were changed giving characters many different viable play styles. The game is fun and you can spend endless hours trying different team compositions, equipment and talents. Overall, I haven’t been this impressed with an app since Battleheart or Legacy. Battleheart 2 is well developed and well worth your money. Looking forward to updates, hopefully we’re able to add one more character for each role.

Some things great.... One glaring thing seems purposefully terrible. First the good: Fantastic art. I found myself actively looking at it instead of simply enjoying it as a matter of course. Well done. Notice I didn’t simply refer to it as “graphics”. Next; decent character concepts and execution. The terrible; at some point in the game gold, skill points, and revisiting old boss fights all lose their value. Gold and skill points end up having 0 value. So, arena it is. Where you randomly get crystals, gold, or skill points as a reward. You need crystals to upgrade gear and progress. Crystals “always” have value. So you do 1-50 over and over and over again to get enough crystals to do 1-55 over and over and over again. Rinse and repeat. Now. You could get crystals faster starting out at first, by doing targeted quests. Except... there are diminishing returns on repeat rewards. Forcing you to do something other than seek crystals. Something that literally has, 0 value. Making questing lose much of its value. And overall just needlessly frustrating. So yeah, just arena. Where you have a 66% chance to get a reward that is 100% useless to you. I feel like I’m being discouraged/punished for actively seeking to do the one thing left for me to do. No thanks.

Well made but it ain’t a Legacy sequel. It’s an arena battler with decent character progression and great design, but it’s tough to control precisely on my iphone 6 and things feel pretty same-y starting about 2 hours in. A lot of work went into this and the developer hit the bulls-eye with what they were trying to accomplish, but I can’t help comparing this to BH Legacy, which was polished and immersive to boot. Different strokes for different folks, but I much prefer the single player RPG experience, and Legacy was just about the best imagining of the genre I’ve ever played on mobile. Great work here, but I know what you could have made, and I’m holding out hoping a Legacy sequel comes along sometime. People wanting a faster smaller fix will find plenty to like here, and there is depth, relatively speaking. I found it tough to really connect with, though.

Loved the legacy.. Let me start by saying...I loved Battleheart Legacy...well done game for adventurers. I would have readily dropped $50 for expansions to that game. This game...I am really trying to love...at lvl 18...but wow...did you devs miss the mark. There is no adventure to this game, no reward system that compels you to move forward, no char development, no story, no reason to stick with chars. The good: You get to choose your merry band of pirates...awesome, you get to equip gear...even better! Graphics are fun, battle engine is solid. The bad: That is where any semblance of a good game stops. The gameplay itself is grindy to the max. They dont even give you new battle scenarios. You are put into the middle of a screen and monsters come at you from the sides. Your reward for defeating them? To go to exactly the same battle with a different background. If you work really hard you get to go to the same screen with slightly harder monsters. If you work hard and get nice gear...you get to fight the same monsters again! For variety they change the shape of monsters. Sorry you all failed hard, this game will sell for a bit but wont have any staying power and you will have to grind out another game.

Close but not quite up to BH1 standards. I absolutely ADORED Battleheart. I played every class combo and spend probably 100 hours playing it. It was challenging, rewarding and charming. BH2 is some of those things, but is lacking in certain areas that detract from it behind as amazing as previous BH games. I WANT to love it but it’s just kind of...dull. The new art style is pretty cool and looks great but I honestly preferred the cartoony style of BH1. It made it feel less serious and lighthearted, whereas the new (very handsome) style makes it feel more serious. So my main qualms are : 1) It’s more grindy. You have to play a lot more levels to level yourself up between big boss fights. All levels are randomly generated, but there’s only a couple handfuls of enemies so it doesn’t feel as tense or challenging as BH1 2) No “choice” with skills. This one is my biggest gripe. In BH1 you had to often chose between 2 different skills when leveling up that could make some very interesting and odd classes and encouraged experimentation. In BH2 you get talent points and spend them. No choice, no exciting “oh I didn’t think that would work so well!” combos, just grinding the points to get all talents. 3) It seems very easy. I’m sure I can ramp the difficulty in the settings but playing on normal I’ve not had a single pawn get knocked out, let alone lost a match. Not a heap of challenge.

Battlebore 2. While I thoroughly enjoy the art style of the game, it is lacking A LOT. Additional characters are great but no story, endless grinding and a finale that is devoid of any feeling of accomplishment.

Great visuals, lacking story. I loved the first instalment of the game, it had a story and gave you goals to work towards, but this one kind of just feels like an endless grind of nothingness, characters don’t level up so the sense of achievement is no longer there.. I don’t know, I expected more from the second instalment..

No Music?. Love Battleheart, looking forward to it, just wondering why my music isn't working? Not the same without it! Hoping for fix in update :)

Great but. The game is great and I completely the game. The new features are cool. The legendary chest box is really nice. I dislike how my party is maxed out at 30 I missed absolutely destroying everything with a single hit. I would recommend this game to anyone who liked the first but just be carful don’t expect the same experience as the first

Battlebad 2. Loved the first game and I followed the development of this one all the way through via the updates on twitter. However, I cannot be anymore disappointed with this game. Absolutely no story beyond the prologue, class pool is very bland, the grinding (oh god the grinding) of the same missions over and over to accumulate gold, shards and skill points that really have minimal impact on the classes. I finished the game after 10 hours, while hoping the whole time that it would get better. All you receive at the end is to be offered to grind the same missions, bosses and arena again for loot and items that you no longer need. For anyone wondering, I used Cedric, November, Odette and Costello. There really isn’t any need to use any of the other classes. Hoping the developers will add future content to flesh this shell of a game out.

Chinese version please. We all love Battleheart 1&2 and really appreciate good work from Mika!Could you please provide Chinese version as too many of friends want to play, Thanks!

Disappointing game. Played battleheart legacy and thought this would be the sequel and carryon the story. But no. This is just another game that gives the basic ‘battle’ with no story line, no dialogue and close to zero character development. The battling gets boring after a few times. Multiplayer mode is meaningless when theres no story line.

Slow, Grindy and just....ugh!. As soon as my characters bounced/walked onscreen, I knew I might be in trouble. This game is slow as molasses. All the fights and missions are a grindfest with most of the character classes being redundant and far from balanced against other classes. No option to speed up the action (or any options at all really) this game feels like it’s not quite finished. My main regret is that the apple App Store doesn’t easily offer refunds like the google play store does. Play at your peril.

Loved the other version of the game but this one is disappointing. Great graphics, similar style to the previous. Was fun for the first few battles but then you realise this is it and it gets boring quick. Wish they added more depth to the game. Unfortunate because it’d be a great game if there was some sort of progression instead of a constant grind

Multiplayer. Good game but the multiplayer doesn’t work at all. Hopefully they fix this asap

Good but gets boring from grinding. Game really similar to this called Heroes Vs Monsters and one thing you guys should take from that game is the auto battle function that just really helps with the grinding. Also consider changing the ancient or legendary gear chest from a limited buy to unlimited because maxing out skills on a character then not receiving their ultimate gear is annoying...

Disappointing. Loved the first one, this one has no story line and gets old quick. No creativity at all sorry.

Not as good as the original. Similar gameplay as the first one, but this version is way too much of a grind.

Great game!. Great game, absolutely love it. How does the multyplay work? Pls fix it.

INCREDIBLE!. When you consider all of the promise that Battleheart Legacy had for a sequel - with its large maps, character development, and storyline - for the developers to come up with a game that is nothing but a series of mind numbing battles that are so easy that even a half-alseep chimp on anti-depressants could win takes some real talent. I would recommend this game only to people with a single-digit IQ. Everyone else should stay well clear of this waste of money.

Another cracker. Brilliant as with all of the mika mobile games. Absolutely loving being back in battleheart which is where it all started for me

Excellent. Coop is great. Refreshing to play something that has all heroes readily available and not gatcha-like. Good work Mika!

Not much like bh1. I’m so disappointed about bh2 . What happen with the updates compare to 1!!!

Changes. I love this game, especially the 3D version but I was more happy to see the 3D version more but then it was just the 2D version. There’s not that much Skills like the legacy Version and that it make the game abit boring using 3 skills on all character. No item drop..that’s really bad, can’t really do one mission and get one item or 2. At least try to make it like the Legacy version abit? Where one person can have 2 mix skills instead of 1. Lastly So far So good, love the graphics effect but try to add more Abilities and customise character

I like the new icon tho. Not sure why I was charged again for downloading thought I’d already purchased this game

Almost there.. I really like this game and want to give it a higher rating. It has beautiful visuals, great gameplay and a progression system that is surprisingly deep for a mobile game. But it has way too much grinding. Having to do the same stages over and over again really gets old. All the stages offer you a choice of only a random item, skill points, enchanting crystals, experience or gold. And you need a lot of most of them to progress. It would be a lot better if you got at least 2 or maybe even 3 of these things at the same time. You do get a small amount of gold and experience every fight, but it’s hardly worth it. You also get a small amount of skill point when you do finally get a level. It’s not all bad though, you get all of the characters straight up this time around and they all share levels and you can use skill points you win with other characters to put on there characters as long as you haven’t used them yet. You can also share gear between multiple characters of similar classes and the characters themselves are more varied then the last game with each one having different skills. Overall it is a game that I feel is almost there, just not quite yet.

Waited for this. The first one was my favourite game on the iOS. The sequel is finally out and it exceed expectations. Thank you to the developers for continuing such a good series !

Sooooo good. If only they had a public server for MP and a private server to connect to. And if they do if they made it a little more well known as to how to connect to them. Otherwise one if not my fav game atm

Super.. well worth the wait.. I have def got my moneys worth with over 50hrs played. If you like the first Battleheart do yourself a favor and pick this one up. The game play is fun. The art has really kicked it up a notch. The dev also supports the game with several patches since launch. Good job Mika Mobile. Also the multiplayer is a fabulous bonus and works wonderfully. Somethings I would like to see improved: 1. Stat knowledge base. As a starting player you cannot see a stats tool tip or aka what it does until you own an item with that stat to reference. 2. The open ended game play is super for farming but would be nice to have a little more story perhaps with each boss to tell a tale. Not necessary per say but nice. 3. A conversion mechanic for game resources specifically gold which becomes rather useless later levels. Maybe a way to merge two of the same item to give the best one +1.

Very bad. Grinde fest, not at all like the first version. Sad, I really enjoyed the original

I’d like to give 4 stars, after you fix bugs.. Game crashes all the time on my iPhone 7s plus and new iPad. All my devices are updated. So what’s the problem? Also you can add in game purchases, after you fixed the bug and also improved some aspects of the game. Manually controlling 4 characters all the time isn’t fun, so need auto cast of course in a game like this.

Lobby. Join room123

Finallllllllly !. Smooth and simple gameplay and graphics are awesome, looks like my best RPG since the original Battleheart. It’s a very addictive mini World of Warcraft with crowd control, on mobile.

Why? What went wrong? Who did this?. The guy (or lady) that decided that a perfectly good and winning game should be slammed to hell, crushed and twisted into a casino slots machine...should be just kicked out in the direction of the unemployement office, please! Do yourselves a favour and dont listen to anymore of his “great” ideas. I played this version for like, 12 min and hated it after 3min. Why?? Really?? 5 stars for the guys on the graphics team, -3 stars for the greedy devs... so the net is on the top.

Fun sequel that improves on the original. If you played Battleheart, you know what you’re getting into with BH2. If you didn’t, BH2 is a game that gives you control over four heroes in a series of battles that require you to be strategic and react quickly if you want to survive. Unlike the first Battleheart, BH2 gives you a group of characters to choose from at the start of your game, and your whole group shares a level instead of individual characters gaining experience, so you’re free to swap out characters whenever you want. Being able to use a substitute character that isn’t underlevelled is a welcome change that got me trying different groups out. Your characters do gain passive skill bonuses, so subbed characters can feel like you haven’t invested in them as much, but you gain the points necessary to invest in those skills much more quickly as you progress through the game’s missions so that isn’t a big deal. Your characters are mostly separated into the trifecta of tank / damage dealer / healer, with some clever changes. There is a ‘War Priest’ for example who melees enemies, and heals allies while he’s attacking. The trade off is that his heals are weaker than a more standard healer’s. There are several ranged damage classes, but some have abilities than can stun opponents (taking them out of the fight for a little) and others do not. Those stuns can be vital in giving you the time you need to deal with enemies who are immune to the aggro-generation of your tank character(s). For such a cartoonish looking game, there can be a lot to think about during the fights. As for the cons: -if you don’t like grinding, this game is NOT for you. Most of the gameplay consists of getting into a fight, winning, puttering about in a menu for a short while, fight again, repeat. If you like that sort of gameplay then BH2 is candyland, but if not it’ll probably feel repetitive. -Some of the best loot in the game is obtained by buying a chest in the in-game shop that requires a lot of all three currencies in the game, and the drop you get from the chest is RANDOM. Kudos to the devs for not requiring premium currency for that, but nobody likes that loot box style of getting drops. There’s already a lot of grinding in the game, but grinding and then getting a loot you don’t even want is just bad.

An absolute worthy sequel!. Refined and expanded gameplay that feels like the original in every glorious way.

BH1 was better. This new BH is grindy and boring. The first one was much better and had more variety. This game is just the same battles over and over with no variety and no story. Should be called BH:tactics

Too Simple and Boring. You get a shop and you can enhance your gear that’s it. You can only upgrade the weapons no different sets or anything. Characters are boring same with their abilities I found it hard to compose a team because of the fact that I only really liked 2 heroes. Not worth it’s price tag maybe 1.99$ but for 5$ it just isn’t worth it.

Good. Really cool game, but perhaps a bit too similar to the original. I don’t regret the purchase.

Extremely Average - Bad 4/10. The main logo and theme song gets you excited and intrigued to start your adventure with your own personalized team. After playing the game (and forcing myself to get to the 5-7 th boss) the game was nothing but repetitive, boring and disappointing. Ignoring the fact that the first battleheart games were fantastic this seems like a free to play game with a price tag on it. Gameplay: The most grindy game/app I have every played! My god it’s horrible! About 2-4 hours in you have to start to grind to improve abilities, items and spells. It feels like a pay to win game with a price tag! While I had fun for 5 hours it became a chore to play... 3/10 Art: This is the games beat feature by far the whole game has gone through a massive overhaul. Beautiful backgrounds but the graphics could turn some people away (mainly those fans that love the cartoony look of the old games). 8/10 Music: F***ing Fantastic like the rest of the series! 9/10 UI: It’s decent 👌🏻 I hope you improve and don’t repeat this game.... what a disappointment to fans of the series.

Pretty decent. Fun that you can assemble your party from a fair amount of heroes from the start. Combat gameplay is engaging. I would like to be able to scroll through each hero on the battlefield or select them all at once for positioning sake however.

Very repetitive. Very repetitive. Very repetitive.. It looks good. But it’s very repetitive and the upgrades don’t actually show on your character. It’s just the same fighting over and over again. It might be fun for some, but unfortunately I did not find it enjoyable.

Awesome game. Great for casual and hardcore players with adjustable difficulty setting.

Incredible disappointment. I loved the original battle heart, and when I saw that they released a sequel I was super excited.. But that was extremely short lived.. this new version is awful... no interesting story line like the first one.... instead just a bunch of repetitive grinding battles.. it’s like the developers got lazy and dropped all story content for a boring and dull combat focused game. I wish I read some of the existing reviews before throwing my money away on this game. Hopefully the devs create a true sequel to the original BH at some point.

Even better than 1. Somehow they have managed to make it feel like the original, but also better. Great job. Definitely worth paying for. Keep it up.

Give this one a pass if.... ...you’re expecting more Battleheart Legacy— that game was fab; this one got deleted after 10 minutes. Such a disappointment!

Disappointed. Having gotten my Mika Mobile introduction with BH Legacy and Zombieville, I had high hopes for this one. Unfortunately, this has been a real disappointment. Positives: -great classes, interesting (though limited) skills -good, diverse gear -smooth gameplay, great graphics, polished feel Negatives: -lack of story/linearity. Just feels like you have to keep grinding on the same, single, stationary screen over and over again with some inconsequential backgound changes. No caves to explore, dungeons to loots, fields to venture through, shops to travel to, NPCs to meet, or castles to raid. No side quests that result in unlocking new characters or earning loot. Each “level” consists of this single screen with new waves of bad guys showing up after you kill their predecessors until the level is arbitrarily completed after which you get a predetermined reward. No excitement there. -classes only have three active skills each (and all unlockable early on), all build outs will be the same -no good way of comparing equipped item to items in the shop aside from an arrow that shows up to signify better or worse, not helpful when comparing trinkets or evaluating how much better/worse and is it worth the price. -in-combat party management system is cumbersome. Dragging to a target is unnecessary and becomes brutal when the character’s already on the move. And too often party members are on top of each other and you have to move one to select the other (should have a picture of each of the party members off to the side to tap to select and then tap to select desired position or target to attack). Also, it would be helpful if there was a stop/pause management system like you see in Baldur’s Gate/Icewind Dale to help manage what’s happening all over the battlefield, particularly when your characters are separated. Far too often one or two characters get ignored (and end up dying or getting under utilized) as your attention is drawn to managing the others. I can only assume this issues gets worse as you progress and the stages are filled with more enemies to battle. I’m still holding out the hope that future updates will address some of these issues but others I can’t see getting better. Still think Mika is exceptional studio but this has been a disappointing miss.

This is Disappointing. The game isn’t bad.. but if you have played the first Battleheart and Battleheart Legacy don’t bother. It’s so grinds I stopped playing within the hour. I haven’t been this bored playing a premium mobile game in a while.

Poor Sequel if you are a Battleheart Legacy Fan. I was really looking forward to this game—but it is a very poor follow up. No story, no context, linear and not open world like Legacy. No towns, conversations, or anything.

Lack of end game. Title

Underwhelming. After being a diehard Battleheart legacy fan and a fan of the first Battleheart, I find this game pretty disappointing. Gone is the open world feel that legacy provided. Instead, we are provided with repetitive grind that gets boring after 5 minutes. Was excited for this to come out, now I’ll likely wait for a year or two before I pick it up again and see if they’ve improved it.

What a disappointment!. This is just arena battles one after the other. There is no exploring on the map and in the scenario. Mika Mobile took a shortcut to make money! Sad!!

La difficulté. Je trouve que le jeu est beaucoup plus difficile que le premier

Great game! But!. But don't get it if you're looking for a game like Battleheart Legacy, don't get this, because this isn't Battleheart Legacy 2, it's Battleheart 2. This is a continuation of the first game, in gameplay style. Lots of new characters, new equipment and bosses! I really enjoyed it and multiplayer with my brother is really easy and fun. It can be difficult sometimes, but you can always try out a new combo of heroes (which is easier now, since they changed how skill points work). Overall a joy to play!

A bit to grindy. I love battleheart but this one is a bit to grindy. Ideally a few ‘auto’ tasks would be great.

You played Battleheart original ? Or not !. If you liked the original you will love this one and if you never played.. this is the experience, it worth the money you won't regret !!!

Disappointing. While I enjoyed the first game and did not think twice to buy this one, I am sad to report this game is a grinder based on free-mium games with payment up front. I am guessing in-app purchases will be coming soon. Not worth the money.

Way too short. I loved battleheart and battleheart legacy way better than this one. It is like an expansion pack but lack of story (or doing sth pointless)... need more content, when can we have battleheart legacy 2????

Répétitif. Toujours la même chose. Après 10 minutes de jeux on a fait le tour.

Boring fast. Commands not so intuitive Too much grinding involved Ability trees not though about enough Gets boring fast

Not as good as original. I absolutely love Mika Mobile games, Zombieville USAs and Battleheart regular and legacy, and this definitely captures the same type of game. The problem is the new level up system is not exciting in the least, there’s only 3 unique skills for each hero, the weapons don’t chance much they just get enhanced, etc. I was so excited to download this and so far I’m pretty disappointed and am going to have to download the original again to be satisfied.

At First.... ...the game was maybe TOO much like Battleheart, and ‘more of the same’ is my least-favorite genre. After a few hours of gameplay, I was already beginning to change my mind, then with the extended view in update 1.1 Battleheart 2 became the game I needed it to be. I didn’t realize that interface was missing until it was there. Great job!

I love it. This is everything I was hoping for. For a (honestly tiny) up front cost, I got all the characters. Freemium games are spoiled because the designers have to put nuisances into their games to get you to part with your cash. Games like this can just be as awesome as possible. It’s beautiful and fun. I’m having a blast.

Okay game but legacy better. Fun game but gets very repetitive fast and boring. Basically just little battle areas to get rewards to level up and get “better” equipment. Rinse and repeat. No real point to the game beyond leveling up. Good graphics and fun for short while or to kill a few minutes of time. I’m hoping there will be a Battleheart Legacy 2.

Piece of advice. It would be really nice if you could make a damage chart at the end-battle scene instead of the line-up animation and the pause which are slightly too long. The chart consists of the damage output from each character so that we can make more informed decisions on what to upgrade next. Thanks.

Wonderful. Love the game! Having a blast! I am 28 hours in and still enjoying the combat. The latest update made the characters much easier to control. I would like to see more story and more legendary items. I have collected all that are currently in the game and it seems some classes are missing legendary armor.

Like crack. So much fun. Great variety of loot items, so many diverse skills for each of the many different characters you have access to right at the start, fun fights, different play styles of each party combo you set up. Really great low maintenance game you can pickup anytime during the day for a quick play.

Multiplayer doesn’t work since..... Since last update, my gf and I haven’t been able play any multiplayer even in the same room. I love the game, truly - please fix the multiplayer (not sure what’s wrong). We both type in the same name, and even give it a min in between, but it still doesn’t work.

Awesome but need some work.. The iphone pull down menu is killing me!!! an option where we can choose where we want the buttons and the opacity of them in the battle screen can be very useful, so i can arrange the characters pictures in the right or left of the screen. Why the characters just still stand while the enemy hit the partner just a few steps away? the skeletons are the bomb because they go everywhere but the characters just stop fighting😒

An honest review: Downgrade from BH Legacy. I know this is more of a sequel to Battleheart and not Battleheart Legacy, but this game is a major downgrade from BH Legacy. I was a fan of the franchise and have pre-ordered the game, but it got super boring and bland super fast. It has no story and has no replay value after about 2-3 hours. Soundtracks are very limited (actually one song is even the same as BH Legacy “Bayram Gelmis Neyime”). I’m sorry, but after all this time, I just can’t like this game. I think all of the positive reviews are for the love of franchise and positive-biased. I don’t write reviews at all, but I hope you’ll take my review as a positive criticism and advance on it.

Extremely repetitive. Graphics and fighting are cool. Kudos for the art, but there is literally no storyline or feeling of real progression. This game is extremely repetitive. Different backgrounds with very similar enemies on a fixed frame. If you were hoping for something in between Battleheart Legacy and the original, you will be disappointed. Legacy is probably my favorite mobile RPG of all time. This game is nothing like it. It's a huge grind with very little pay off.

Literally just Battleheart with slightly better graphics. It’s hard to believe this game has taken years of development. It’s exactly the same game with tweaked graphics. All the frustrations of the previous game — e.g. the difficulty in selecting characters when they’re on top of each other — are still there. It’s a pretty shallow experience of grinding fights to buy upgrades to grind slightly harder fights to buy better upgrades. The original was fun back in the day but this is just a lazy retread that doesn’t improve on the original game in any significant way.

Good with some flaws. Very nice art and simplistic gameplay. This game is very easy to understand and get into. Some issues I have are the somewhat repetitive combats, and the difficulty in selecting the character you want to command because they tend to stack tightly on top of eachother. One thing I would like is the ability to issue commands while paused to help alleviate the character selection problem.

Reigning masters of mobile mechanics. As with all Mika Mobile games, it plays like a dream. Menus, movement, actions skills, and more all feel natural even on my smaller iPhone SE screen. Deep character/item upgrading system gives me a reason to keep coming back to enjoy that gameplay, too. I have 30+ hours in the first game and can see myself far exceeding that in this one

well its a good game. Awesome game, super fun for about 15-20 hours for hard core strategy gameplay for nerds like me, then once you got a couple legendary items and tried a few different squads the game is just repetitive at that point. I got all legendary weapons for Samurai, Bard, Rogue, and Fire Mage, and made it to round 33 in arena, well it was fun to experiment and grind but now there is nothing left to do (I have seen pretty much everything...) in this beautiful cavern of a game edit: made it to round 63 in Arena, nothing new

Boring grind fest with no story and finger smashing gameplay. Wait, this is it? No story, all you do is play one battle after another earn tiny rewards and progress to slightly different monster types. “Ooooh that monster had a slow ability and was blue, and THIS one has a smash ability and is BIG!” I got this game confused with another one I had played a long time ago because the graphics looked similar. Not what I was expecting.

Amazing game from an amazing developer. I love their style and get everything they make I love a boiled down game like this and now multiplayer awesome. So much fun lots of replay value here whether it’s solo with different characters or with a friend or your kids another stellar game that stands on its own but is a great ohmag to the original.

i wish i liked it but i just don’t. First of all, the art has lost the charm of the original. it’s soulless and looks like it was ripped out of a sprite pack. Text scrolls so slowly and wastes your time. Game itself is boring, slow, and has no depth. i loved the original and wanted to love this but it feels like a terrible flash game. they seem to give you all the characters to start with as well, so there’s not even any sense of achievement (lol) when progressing and no sense of discovery when getting a new character or something. i can’t believe they released this, this is such a cash grab.

5 Stars. Same excellent mechanics as the original with a refined look and feel. I also appreciate the developers for NOT putting micro transactions into the game. It would be really easy to monetize a game like this (items, characters, etc.) and the developers have always chosen to be above that and let their games stand on their own. The game is excellent and it is a steal for $3.99.

Amazing. The game is amazing. I’ve only played for a half hour and it has a strong start. Great graphics for a mobile game, great tutorial, the ability to pick from different heroes at the beginning unlike most games that force you to use the same heroes as everyone else. Definitely worth the money.

Not as good as the oldies.. I have to say that the other battle hearts are better! This feels rushed and not a lot to it. I expected more for sure, multiplayer is poorly implemented in the days of games like clash royal. The control system is frustrating when everyone is grouped. Mika, bring back the innovation like bh:legacy!

More grind than the original. Level descriptions are gone and you replay the same levels over and over again which feels like forced grinding. There are three different resources which wouldn’t be out of place in an F2P game. The original game’s ability alternates were replaced with only passives which don’t even have icons. I loved Battleheart 1 but this is a major step down. Don’t buy unless you like forced grinding. Feels like a freemium game with the ability to buy gold removed.

So bad, not like original at all. I don’t understand why this game is so bad. First, your characters don’t level up anymore, they level up as a group only, and even though it says the group is a higher level they don’t seem to actually have more hit points or do more damage. The map is boring, you click on a area, you characters appear, you fight and back to the map for more grinding. Archers are gone too, just mages, healers and swordsmen. This is completely different from original, I don’t understand why they didn’t just take the original game and add more levels, that’s all players wanted.

Best iOS game I’ve played. I’ve been a huge fan of Mika mobile games especially the battleheart series and I must say I’ve had more fun playing this game than any other game I’ve played on iOS thanks for the quality content and can’t wait for more updates

Just read my review. I haven’t played this game yet. I’m looking forward to it after being a long time on and off again player of battleheart legacy. WHY did you guys abandon such a gem?! I LOVE that game I just wish you guys would have kept that game alive! There hasn’t been an update in like 2 years and it has better ratings than this game! Please consider working on Battleheart Legacy again!

Boring. I couldn’t get into it. It’s missing too much from legacy. It doesn’t feel like there’s any exploring or dialogue or character development or skills development like in legacy. Four guys are just thrown together without any background and then battle. Legacy seemed to have a good story and explanation for everything. The skill system isn’t as fun as legacy, which actually felt a lot like diablo 3 but even better in some ways, while this one quickly bored me. If ur into a story this ain’t 4 u

Very Bad Sequel. This game is nothing compared to its originating game. I’m ashamed I spent money on the second one. There is basically nothing to work for such as extra characters to recruit, as they are all already unlocked. It disappointed me when I realized within the first 10 minutes of playing the game that all you will be doing is moving characters around and earning essentially worthless gold coins. Characters no longer individually rank up either! That’s a huge slope as I enjoyed budding up my favorite characters :( I wish I could get my money back as I do not enjoy this game at all in its current state.

Best game ever. This is hands down my favorite game in the App Store. The game mechanics and character development are incredible, and it is a must play. The only thing holding Battleheart 2 back from having some serious longevity is an auto-fight feature. As fun as the game is, the repetitiveness of battling takes a toll, and it makes me sad that I’m starting to get tired of a game that is so well constructed. That’s my one complaint of the game, otherwise it truly is a masterpiece.

Needs work. I would like to see a leveling system for each character like it used to be, so that way you can increase ability power and unlock abilities etc. Also why is every character unlocked from the start? There’s no reward now, no need to work to unlock better characters or anything. Kind of disappointed.

Love game miss the old level system. Great game. A lot of reused things from BH1. Which is fine. But no story... odd... and no levels. Just talents which exponentially increase the amount you must farm to unlock all the passive. The big problem with this is if you decide to switch to a new character you don’t have a talent pool for each character it’s one giant pool that subtracts by each one spent

Dislike the combat system. I played a few battles and I really hate the speed and style of the combat system. Total turnoff and I just can’t put up with this slow grind. There should be a true autocast system and autoattacks that can auto target instead of requiring so much manual tapping of abilities and weak enemies. It’s just busywork in combat. I wish there was a free demo before I paid for a full version because now I need to get a refund. Artwork is really good though.

Really good game. Battleheart 2 is really good and is a rpg games and is a part of the Battleheart seris I recommend this game to battle heart fans and RPG players I have some suggestions like the Barbearian should have a wolf friend like in Battleheart legacy and they should add Geamancy like summening golems and they should add ninjas like in Battleheart and the skill charm but eaither way Battleheart 2 is a really good game you should play it

Love it. Of course I played the original and that’s obviously the better game because it’s the original. I only have one question, how does multiplayer actually work? I’m assuming it’s only for coop play with your friends and not random players ?

Good, but disappointed. Battleheart Legacy was tough to top, but my excitement for this game after playing Legacy left me disappointed. The good: graphics, upgrade system, character selection. The bad: Linear progression and lack of storyline left battles feeling redundant and unfulfilling after awhile. Turns out to be a grinder game where you simply battle to level up, which is fine, I guess, but I think it’s a step down from the predecessor.

A disappointing sequel. I loved the other Battleheart games. The beginning of the game had no real story; I didn’t have any idea what I was pursuing. The other games had a real story that was fun to play. And my team kept dying because I couldn’t control them. For example it would be nice if I could tap on the avatars and move them, since once a few mobs get piled up there’s no great way to target. I got to level 3 and am not excited about finishing it, so that’s not a good sign.

Underwhelming sequel. Shame to say that I don’t find this game as entertaining as the original game, I do doubt this game justify it’s price. 1, Most asset was a reuse from the first game, even the soundtrack is completely the same 2, You can’t move in maps now, the ‘map’ in this game is just a piece of drawing. My point of view is that this is a cheap maneuver to design less environments. 3, Underwhelming skill system, each class have 3 skills, and others are all passive, hardly any improvement over last game. 4, Too much grind, this isn’t diablo 2, while this game if fun, is not that fun, it doesn’t justify the time you need to spend on it.

Simple and fun. This game flew under the radar and it looks silly. But there’s actually a lit of depth and it’s fun! A variety of characters with different skills and the challenging bosses makes this a keeper! Great replay value as well. It’s been 3 years. Hope you guys update. This is hands down the best! Better than legacy!!!

Great premium game. My only 2 grumps are that they made the Paladin no longer a tank and he is now a “war priest” healer. 2nd issue is there isn’t really much explanation on the multiplayer aspect. Other than that it’s good ol Battleheart from back in the day but easier on the eyes graphics and menus. You pay for the game and you get a game that can kill time and keep you interested in getting more perks for your favorite characters.

Need more content. This game is great, and if you liked the first one you will like this one as well. My only complaint is no new content, the same characters, which are all unlocked in the beginning. It makes it a little tedious since you really have nothing to strive for. In the first game you had to play to unlock new hero’s, now you are just playing to beat the same levels over and over.

More of the same. Great game. If you loved the original you will like this game. Just doesn’t seem to have evolved that much after so many years. Not necessarily a bad thing, was just hoping for more innovation. Lots of depth and replay ability for $4.

A few hours in.. I’m a big fan of the battleheart series so I expect a lot of options with types of characters and character customization. After a few hours the unlocks got much bigger in a new way. A very fun action/strat game. Can’t wait to keep playing. Highly recommend.

Fun game. Great game. Pausing is really handy for life’s interruptions. Only gripe: ever since I spec’d out November’s Glacial Spike and Flash freeze they will both randomly do zero damage. Also sometimes monsters appear to be under flash freeze but actually aren’t - so they’re still moving and attacking but they’re invincible until big wears off (duration of flash freeze). I’m hoping these get fixed because she is really useful with her major spa and crowd control capabilities...

I don’t like grinding. Not much fun at all and I enjoyed the first game. Very limited spells that you tweak through upgrades and and they finally introduce a new baddie at lvl 17 or so. I’m working towards the third boss and all my upgrades are costing quite a bit more than the time they take to earn. Each level is identical which makes the gameplay repetitive and just boring. It feels like a pay-as-you-go style game that’s flooding the market and I very much dislike this dumbing down of games.

Worse than the Original. Being a hardcore fan of the original Battleheart, playing countless hours, I was very much disappointed when I purchased this game and it was worse than the original. It has the exact same feel and play style which is good because the original is so good but there is no expansion beyond that. It feels like the exact same game but without progression. You are not really working towards anything considering you can beat the game in a few hours and there is no character customization. I would not recommend.

Boring.... I think it has potential, but as it currently is it is boring. The same repetitive gameplay and very basic level up system. I would love to see more depth. The first one IMO was better. This one seems dumbed down, but with better graphics. It’s just not that engaging. I was hoping it would have grabbed my interest more than the first one, but unfortunately in its current state I am already bored of it. Please add more content to make it more engaging!

A few minor changes are needed. In the original Battleheart, ranged attacks cause the heroes to attack in return, now they just stand there and take it until they die, this means that farming is completely useless at fight levels above 2. I love this game, loved the first one, and played legacy for hundreds of hours. Just PLEASE make them attack ranged enemies targeting them and if you could, add farmable bosses.

Loved the original, loved the sequel.. I was happy to see the characters from the original return, I was even happier to see there was more depth added. I really really hope they make a third game, would love to keep supporting this dev, I’ve enjoyed everything that’s come from it.

Novelty wears off becomes grindy and boring. SUGGESTION: at victory screen show % bar of dmg done for the match for each character. While being one of the better rpg’s in the app star this game still lacks surprising amount of depth. It has very cool starter elements like abilities, but the grind becomes overwhelming and slightly boring after a while. Still it is fun and worth a buy.

Good game. Fun and simple. Could use more customization (no skill trees, everything can be unlocked) and characters (no ranger/archer?). Can get a bit repetitive. I like how the graphics improved from the first game, although I wish the armor would show on the characters and not just the weapon. Overall, I recommend this.
