Flora - Green Focus App Description & Overview

What is flora - green focus app? Flora is a new way to stay off your phone, clear to-do lists, and build positive, life-changing habits. Whenever you want to make progress towards your goals, plant a seed in Flora. As you work hard, the seed will grow into a healthy tree. Let the tree be your coach and grow yourself with it. You will be amazed by how great you can be.

FOCUS TREES

Have trouble putting down the phone? Flora blocks distracting apps in a pleasant way to help you focus on what’s more important in real life. If you cannot resist the temptation of using your phone and leave the app while growing a tree, the tree will be killed! But if succeeding, you'll unlock new trees.

DOUBLE EFFICIENCY WITH FRIENDS

Things get even more interesting when you challenge your friends to plant trees together—you will see who kills a tree (ouch). However, if you successfully stay away from your phones together, each of you will win an additional tree from a random friend. You can also chat and share your progress to motivate each other and keep everyone on track.*

* Flora is the original app for multi-user tree planting and delivers the best features that help you and your friends be productive.

TO-DO LIST & WIDGET

Flora is a to-do list, and more. Simply create a to-do item and set a reminder, then you will never forget a thing. Even better, you can tag your trees with a to-do item to easily track the progress towards each of your life goals. No matter if your goal is daily, weekly, or monthly, Flora will help you follow it through and achieve it.

HABIT TRACKER

Enjoy a rewarding daily habit routine. If you grow trees regularly, you will earn yourself a beautiful, vibrant garden. Take a look at it and feel proud of yourself! Each tree records your perseverance and a step towards a healthy life. You can also view the daily, weekly, or monthly statistics of your activities in Flora to find opportunities to improve your time-management and planning skills.

REAL TREES, REAL IMPACT

Why not plant REAL trees while improving yourself? Flora proudly offers the opt-in Price and Care services that let you plant real trees on the earth if you kill or successfully grow a tree in the app. We partner with tree-planting organizations in Africa and East Asia, such as the Trees.org and Eden Reforestation Projects, to plant fast-growing soil rebuilding trees, fruit trees that diversify incomes and nutrition, and trees that can provide forage and fuel-wood. All these trees help make the earth greener and provide long-term financial aid to families who need it most.

Flora - Green Focus Comments & Reviews 2024

💸 Want to send money abroad for free?

We transfer money over €4 billion every month. We enable individual and business accounts to save 4 million Euros on bank transfer fees. Want to send free money abroad or transfer money abroad for free? Free international money transfer!

Like it more than I thought!. I first got this app because while doing school online it’s easier to get distracted since there is no one to tell me to get off my phone. I love that every time you focus and reach your time you unlock a plant from that region of the the world. I love the fun facts that are presented and I often find myself trying to get more done just so that I can focus and unlock a new plant! There is also an option to pledge money if you kill a plant which is nice for those who find it extra hard to keep the phone away but I like it more that it is optional and you can keep things free if you want too. I’m pretty sure it asks you to put in a Credit card but you don’t get charged for anything unless you pledge money and end up killing the tree. Overall, love the app and it’s cause!

My favorite time-keeping app!. So far this is the only time-keeping app that I’ve stuck with—which is saying something, as I’ve got severe ADHD and usually can’t stick with anything. I like the variety of trees and plants you can grow in-app, it’s not annoying so I can run it calmly in my background, and I can adjust the stakes as needed when I really need a kick to focus with the Real Money function. Plus it actually plants trees! I don’t particularly like losing money but I’m satisfied that if I *do* mess up my focusing, the money is going to a good cause. And even if I don’t mess up at all, I still get to plant trees periodically by focusing for certain amounts of time! It’s kind of a win-win. The subscriptions are essentially identical except you can plant real trees more often, so I don’t mind paying for an app like this (I’m on the Basic plan because I’m a student with limited income—monthly it’s about $2 which adds up to around $20 with the full-year percentage discount, which isn’t bad at all!). Without the subscription you still have 100% access to the app, it only means you plant more real trees. All in all, between price, functionality, and environmental ethics, this is the perfect fit for me, and I’d definitely recommend trying it!

Couple bugs. Pros: really does help me and my sister to focus on our work together and overall a really helpful app with lots of nice features. The all around the world feature is by far my favourite as well as the group planting aspect. Very helpful app overall if you just want to get off you phone. Cons: there are a couple bugs which I feel need to be addressed. One is that sometimes when logging in with Facebook it’ll say the login isn’t associated with a account but opening the page in safari seems to let you log in as normal. Another con is the fact that it’s Facebook only but I understand that the team is looking at adding more options soon so it’s not that big a deal. Just a small feature I would like is for me to see on my lock screen the time remaining as a notification so that I don’t have to unlock my phone but that’s just a nitpick. Overall: the app works great and gets the job done. Obviously there are downsides which many people see as having a big impact, but personally if you don’t mind using an old Facebook or making a throwaway one, it helps a lot and I would highly recommend.

The best focus app. Ever since the old app that I used was no longer free, I began searching for a new focus timer for my studying. I am a full time college student with a part time job, so it's very important for me to stay focused on tasks to get them done! Flora has made me excited to study (not that the classes I have to study for are boring), but i love the idea of being able to grow different plants or flowers and go on tours to different places around the world. It really keeps me focused because if you exit out of the app, it will kill whatever you are growing! Which obviously you don't want to do. I love the ability to switch how long you want to study for and how long of a break you can have. Overall, the app truly works for me and it's so simple to use! I recommended it to all of my roommates, and now they all use it too!

Needs some fixes. I love the concept behind this app, but I’ve experienced some problems with it in the past. For example, there are times when I spend 40-90 minutes studying and once the timer is up, I’m directed toward a “connection failure” menu even when I’m connected to the Internet. This screen will not disappear until I close and refresh the app, which prevents me from earning the time spent on my different goal trackers. At times, when I open the app after the timer goes off, there are messages saying that one of my tress was killed, even when my phone remained untouched the whole time. It would also be helpful if there was a “0 minutes” mark when planting a tree for when people want to focus for exactly one or two hours. Maybe you could also add minutes that are not just multiples of five for those that need to concentrate for a very specific amount of time. This last point is not a flaw but something I would like to see in the app. As a busy student, I like to keep track of multiple aspects of my life, and I would like this app to have more than just six goal trackers if it were possible. It would be truly beneficial as there are some aspects of my life I’d like to monitor too besides my six main ones. This app has helped me a lot in concentrating on my homework and studying during the summer and with some fixes, it could be even better.

Flora and Fauna? Garden Wilting?. This is not in the name of the app and it may seem sadistic and extreme, but I think it would be highly motivating to be threatened with the sickness or death of a virtual animal. That would come with much higher stakes than plants and completely ensure I get my work done. There is no app like that on the market. Call it the fauna of flora! My less extreme suggestion is an option to have our garden wilt if there is no activity in the app for a whole day. It’s an incentive for constant productivity. I need help with not just adherence to productivity sessions, but initiation of those sessions in the first place. Because I’m very aesthetically motivated, further customization and personalization of our garden would be cool too. Maybe different illustrative styles. All of that being said, this app is very effective and I enjoy growing my plants.

an amazing tool adhd when you know how to use it!!. As someone who struggles heavily with time management, this app has so far been really nice to use! Let’s me have a list of tasks, timer with break, and gives me an incentive to finish my work. As a person with ADHD, getting a little compliment/break/tree planted gives me my little dopamine boost that I seriously need to make my work feel worth doing. There is no one app to cure my problem but this is a very useful tool to have in my adhd productivity toolbelt!! I just hope they can make the app more intuitive and user friendly, as it’s especially hard to feel motivated when you feel overwhelmed with the app itself lol, took me a few downloads and deletes but now that i know how to use it best for my situation it’s helped a lot!! I also would like more options in timing breaks and focus, specially I like having 20 minutes breaks and that’s not an option

Good, but a bit buggy. I love how this app encourages me to put down my phone and keep my hands off for a time. Also, a recent update lets me plant while offline. And of course it’s cool that o can plant a real tree with a donation. However, there are still a lot of bugs in the basic functions. If I plant offline and then turn the WiFi on, or vice versa, the finished plant doesn’t show up in my garden. And if I open the app while offline, it often gives me a login page that requires me to turn the WiFi on again and log in via Facebook - which I’m usually not willing to do at that point, since my goal was to get OFF the phone and internet. Strangely, when I come back to the app with the internet on, later, it doesn’t require me to log in again, but goes straight to the planting screen. I really don’t think an app about putting down your phone should require any login, internet, or other special steps to use unless the user requests to make it a social event for that particular time. (It also requires a social use to get past level 9.)

Changed my life. ny time I am trying to study Are use the Flora app and it can be used for anything and you can set reminders and your tree will grow and there’s also a premium where you can actually plant real trees it’s amazing and also this is how your tree grows you set a timer the lowest setting is five minutes and It goes all the way to ours so you can pick hours and minutes then if you go and open any other app then your tree will die and if you pause then your thing may not look at sk it goes all the way to ours so you can pick hours and minutes then if you go and open any other app then your tree will die also Florida is the best app you can friend people and you can grow trees together it’s amazing I love this app so much but you do need to login with either Google Facebook or email but if you don’t wanna spend any money then you don’t have to it’s a free amazing app all the sponsoring Youtubers and stuff they were right everything they said was right by the way this review is not sponsored

It’s a great app, but.... I love this app and it is sooooo helpful. But I can’t pause the timer if I need to text my mom or I need to just look something up when studying. It has the option to pause, but it doesn’t do anything, it’s like it’s just there for decoration. So, ofc, I have to kill the tree. I did a timer for 3 hours and like 5 hours or so later I went on my phone and it said I killed a tree! What?! Plz fix this, cause it’s getting on my nerves 😖 Another thing, is that I don’t have Facebook so I can’t connect with anyone, and it’s really annoying. I would love to see my friends accomplishments and and join their sessions. Why can’t it be like Among Us where u don’t need to sign in to be with people? Edit: for the past month of doing flora, all my trees are algae- I literally haven’t had a single different tree! It’s really annoying to work so hard for the same tree you’ve been getting for days

Love it!! Have one fun idea??. This app is so great for studying ;) I’m not sure how much it helps with motivation, there are of course some days where no amount of motivation can make me do work However the simple design and social networking makes it very engaging and rewarding after a task. I feel much better knowing a simple statistic of exactly how much I studied and what I studied every day. Side note: I was wondering if a “day” could be extended beyond 12 am? Sometimes I work until 12:30 am or 1 am It’s really insignificant compared to the great variety and software itself; just a small thing Idea/Suggestion? My idea was to program the plants to be a little bigger (or taller) if the task took a longer period of time or if I stayed focused without pressing pause I feel like it would be very cool to have a baby plant for 10 min task and a super huge one for a 2 hour task XD Thank you to the people who made this wonderful app for making it simple, engaging, free, and actually helpful for the environment with the trees

exactly what you’re looking for. something to focus. something to plan. able to collaborate and support your friends, growing trees together. OPTION to support the wondrous cause of replenishing the earth all while also being able to hold yourself to REAL accountability. the concept is phenomenal and you really have to try yourself. it’s simple. it doesn’t have all the unnecessary extra things, and it doesn’t hound you to pay for subscriptions or add-ons, but you’ll probably end up loving the app and its mission so much you’ll want to help yourself more and them. The message from Flora is clear. Flora wants to help not only YOU succeed, they want to help the planet. The app is admirable and definitely worth exploring if you NEED more accountability and focus. The most difficult thing for me was just OPENing the app and FOCUSing. it’s just you. just use the app, focus and make your dreams come true. if I can do it, so can YOU. CHASE YOU DREAMS this is just a tool to help you there, may you never be the same friends !!

Helps me stay away from my phone!. I’m going to be real, I really enjoy this app. It makes me feel terrible to kill a tree, so I can focus more instead on getting assignments/studying done. I also like how you can categorize the time you spend not on your phone- I use it to keep track of how many hours I’ve worked/studied for each of my classes, and it helps me balance out the hours for each subject! There are a few bugs though, sometimes when I set a timer and turn off my phone, the app will stop, and refresh. Then the timer will be completed, even though it is not. It gives me free time on the app, but I didn’t actually earn those minutes. I think another feature that would add to the experience, could be a log of each week’s total hours. I know you can scroll through your feed to see it, but if you did a lot of sessions, scrolling can take a while to see these summed up. Overall, would recommend!

Good yet Frustrating. I do like the incentive to put down the phone & focus, BUT there are two main problems. First, it is dificult to navigate the "grand tour" because it MANDATES that you get a friend to play, and some of us don't like to prosyletize our apps (or "play" with friends in this way). Since I didn't invite a friend to play with me, it just stpped progressing, which was quite depressing. Second, sometimes the app stopped counting down when my iPhone went to black screen. So I'd be focusing for 50 minutes, and over an hour later I'd check my phone (why don't I have a tree yet?) and the countdown clock would be at 48:33. I found that I had to keep the screen live the whole time sometimes just to get it to actually countdown - which was beyond annoying and really undermined the entire purpose of the focus app which is, after all, to focus AWAY from the phone. That glitch seemed to be fixed when I restarted everything, but still, quite annoying.

Helpful Study Tool. I just started my bachelors degree after not being in school for 6+ years. Flora helps me get off my phone and focus on the work. I enjoy the reward of a rose or tree at the end of each session. I also like the challenge of adding a sort-of “bet” on yourself by choosing a dollar amount and if you break your session (aka, kill your tree) you get charged that amount. There are a couple aspects I do not like: I do not like that the app does not remind you with a chime/sound/vibration when your session is over, I don’t like adding a “break” in sessions because I don’t know how long each lecture, quiz, or homework will take to complete, so when the time I’ve set is finished I like to evaluate if I’m at a stopping point for a break or if I need to add more time. I also really dislike that you have to pay for the app (albeit, one of the lesser expensive apps) to actually plant real trees. I don’t like that the saving the environment is monetized in such a way as if we would even need to plant trees if we weren’t tearing down the environment in the first place. It should be enough that trees are getting planted from people using the app, why monetize it? Overall I haven’t experienced any user interface issues or bugs, I like the app for the most part, and I’ll most likely keep it to keep me on task even after I graduate!

Best concentration app. This app really helped me be motivated to NOT grab my phone. The free way of using the app is by growing plants. You do this by starting a timer of your time choice. If you do not tough your phone in the time you selected the plant grows and adds to your garden. If you grab your phone and leave the app to do something else like social media the plant dies and none of your time is recorded for that session. You can get serious with the app and do it the “ putting money where your mouth is” way by betting a dollar amount of your choice that you will complete the time you selected. If you don’t complete the focus time the money you bet goes to many different great organization for developing countries and forestation organizations. Also, the app allows you to have friends to motivate each other. Love this app!

Amazing…But it could be even better. I really love this app!! It has been extremely helpful for me since I can get very easily distracted by my phone. It’s helped me stay on top of schoolwork this semester. That being said, when I first downloaded it the first week I got a couple different types of trees but for the past three months the only thing that has grown is blueberries. This isn’t that big of a deal. The app still does what it is supposed to. But I think it would be a lot more fun for me and I would use it even more if I actually got a different plant every time because then I would look forward to the “reward” at the end of focusing. I don’t know if this just a bug with my app specifically or if I’m only supposed to grow blueberries. I will still use the app it would just be more fun/useful with other things growing. :)

Helpful and Rewarding!. I’ve been using Flora for a while now, and it has made ALL the difference to my study habits. When I first downloaded it, I was still in online learning, and I was desperate. For me, online schooling was very vague. There was no initiative every day for me to go on my laptop and complete my assignments. Also, it is so much easier to close your computer and play on your phone or fall asleep than to skip class at school. But when I started using Flora, it gave me a reason (that I actually care about!) to hold myself accountable. Even if it just meant I stayed off my phone for a couple hours, it was progress! So Flora became one of the only things that made me want to do my work. I’ve since invested in Flora Care, and it makes a huge difference. Knowing that my study time is going towards planting a tree is, for me, the ultimate motivator. And I LOVE the fact that there aren’t any loopholes for me to stay on my phone. If I want a tree planted, I genuinely have to be off my phone for 24 hours. And so far, I’ve planted 2 trees! So it’s rewarding to look back on that progress. Anyways, sorry for rambling! TD;LR: This app has helped me a lot!! If you’re searching for an initiative to stay off your phone, Flora is a good bet. I recommend it greatly to any procrastinator!

Love the idea. One of the first things I did with this app was set aside time to read a personal book. The timer is a really easy way to focus on one thing at a time and get an idea of how much time you need for certain activities. I love that they include Flora Care which is a charity you can donate to and in exchange a certain number of hours logged in the app translates to a real tree planted. However the only way you are able to use the app is if you have a Facebook account, I haven’t used my Facebook in months but was lucky enough to remember my login. Although after only a couple days of using the app I was told I needed to log back in to Facebook and was redirected to a Facebook security measure asking for a photo of my face -after this i was told i had to wait for the photo to be reviewed before i could log back in. It would be much easier to use an account that I use more readily such as gmail, or even the option to create a new Flora account not necessarily connected to another social media

Fun study buddy. Growing plants keeps me motivated to study and keeps me off of my phone!!! As a med student, both of these things are invaluable to my studies!! While I wish there was a feature where if you study for longer than your allotted time (say 50 mins instead of 25) you could grow a more detailed plant or two plants instead of one, I also appreciate the simplicity of flora. Once you learn the ins and outs it becomes really fulfilling! I love my garden, my plants, and my new productivity. I also love that it keeps track of your focused minutes throughout the week, and compares your progress to the week before. This comment is quite chaotic, but the app is not. There are lots of fun features to explore and it has helped motivate me tremendously. And it’s FREE!!! Give it a shot for a week and see your productivity skyrocket.

Amazing for Procrastinators!. As the title says, this app really IS amazing! Here are some reasons why: 1. It keeps procrastination at bay...if you have a big assignment and you’ve kept procrastinating, this app helps you with many different tools, such as reminders and by letting YOU set measurable amounts of time to complete the task at any pace. And, you get little plant rewards for taking those steps! 2. It is FREE...this app, unlike some others, doesn’t require any purchases in the main app. It only has an optional one, and the experience without it doesn't cost you to sacrifice app quality. 3. It helps others...if you chose to support the app, you can help other other countries by providing trees by simply using the app. Trees are essential for environmental and human health, and a small cost goes a long way (again, not even required!). 4. You can work with friends...not only can you be productive, but you can compete with your friends or just invite them into your “room” to do the task with you. 5. It motivates you to cut out distractions...the best part is that app doesn’t allow you to use your phone during your “session”. Although this may sound terrible to some, it really is beneficial, as it keeps you all the distractions that phones nowadays can bring to true productivity (social media, videos, games, etc). It helps you focus on one thing at a time; a good life skill. Hope this helped!

Effective and fun!. I’ve used many different productivity timer type apps and even some that lock me out of my phone for the duration. I’ve stopped using all of those because it was either too restrictive or too lax. Flora is the perfect happy medium - no one wants to kill a tree even if it’s a cartoon one! That alone seems to motivate me enough to not switch to any other app on my phone during a timed session, unless I absolutely have to take a call or something. I like that I can be flexible in the work time I choose, so as to not stick to rigid time intervals such as pomodoro timers. And it’s just so pleasant to “travel” around the world and plant different things. I have also opted to pay for the “plant a real tree” option for a certain number of hours worked. That’s so creative and inspiring! Thanks for designing an awesome app. I wish there was a short pause function instead of all or nothing with killing the tree, but this is minor and not worth taking any stars off for.

I would give this app a million stars if I could!. I love flora! It’s just the most amazing focus timer app I have. I have trouble concentrating but I’m a very driven student and I constantly have to study. I love plants and I love “traveling the world and growing their native plants” in this app. It’s just the most rewarding experience in my opinion. I downloaded this app last week and I’ve already completed 22 hours! That’s a lot considering it’s summertime right now and I only have one online class. I also really like the fact that I can take a break. Things always come up when I study and I have babysit my brother when my moms at work so being able to pause to do my chores and etc is a wonderful feature. I highly recommend you get this app and actively use it to focus if you are a student!

Awesome but a few suggestions!!. This app is amazing it’s really helped me with my work!! The thought of planting trees makes homework feel more like a game and is way more motivating. It has also helped a lot with my adhd! I know the point of the app is to stay off your phone, but there should be a setting that allows you to be able to use your phone while still setting a timer (and growing a tree)because some of the things I have to do for school are much easier to do on my phone. It’s really unmotivating just setting a normal timer without a tree growing now that sometimes my only motivation is a tree growing. Maybe something where there’s an exception with certain apps. Also when you pause the timer should pause too, instead of subtracting time. Other then that this app has been amazing and really helpful!!! Thank you so much!!

Idk what’s happening...... So I got this app literally TODAY. My sister recommended it to me and said it is a great app. So I downloaded it. I got some work done with it and it really does help me. But then after I completed my second session of using the app, it wouldn’t load anything. Then after not doing anything, it randomly took me through the tutorial. I was so confused because I had already made an account and gone to through the tutorial already. Then when I go to check my account, it has no info. No name, no email. So I log out. Every time I go to log in it just stops at the same page. It says something about needing to put in my email again to verify. I put in my email and then I press verify. NOTHING HAPPENS. I go to press verify again and the same thing. I have tried going through the “Continue With Google “ and I have done the “Continue With Email” and both of them end up on the same thing. I have no idea how to fix it. It seems like a great app (I have read your reviews) but I can’t seem to be able to log in to use it.

Working life changed!. I had been struggling for months feeling like I was wasting time at work, and therefore working more hours than I needed to be and beating myself up in the progress. I felt so guilty I literally started praying for an ability to focus. Enter the flora app. With this app, I can now focus on commas as it keeps me from my major distractors. I’ve also learned more about myself, like how much focused time I really have in me in a day and how long I can actually sustain focus on average. I cannot recommend this app enough. And in fact, I’ve been recommending to everyone I know. Additional Perks: I like that I can still have music playing in the background, since that can sometimes help me focus. And I also like that I can pause the countdown for quick things, like if I’ve forgotten to turn on said music. 😉

Facebook mandate. Flora is a great app and concept, I’m not sure if this or Forest: stay focused, came first but either way I appreciate the idea and the fact that this app is free makes it accessible. It truly does help my workflow. However the face that you HAVE to log in with a Facebook account is annoying and frankly a huge turn off to a lot of users, especially those in the 16-24 range I imagine. If the app wants folx to plant seeds together consider looking into airplay compatibility or simply generating share codes for long distance collaboration. Finally and this is a minor note, I used one other app similar to this and one of the touches I appreciated was as you racked up more time you unlocked different plants and could get an overview of your ‘garden.’ Perhaps integrating these features would veer to close to a copy right infringement. I’m not sure. But overall flora gets the job done it’s highly customisable in terms of time and relatively intuitive; though I will say returning to the planting screen after finishing a session isn’t the smoothest transition. 3/5 keep going !

Game changer!. I have ADHD and have always struggled with focusing like most of us do in general. I’ve tried so many techniques to focus but nothing ever seems that effective. I’ve tried to delete apps but I’ll just redownload them or get distracted on the lamest apps just to avoid my work. This app has helped me be conscious about picking up my phone when I should be working and it helps me keep track of time. The best part is helping the planet! I always want to do more and be a humanitarian or some kind but that can be difficult as a college student with a job. I paid the $10 so I can do as much good for the earth while doing the same for myself. I also like this app personally more than forest or other apps because you have the ability to grow more irl trees. I just started this app this week and it’s already helped a lot!! Thank you!

Great Overall App. I started using Flora in the middle of August at the beginning of my senior year of college, and apparently, I’ve studied/stayed focused for over 100 hours! Which is great because I was recently diagnosed w/ severe ADHD. This app has been such a useful tool in helping me actually put my phone down and focus on my schoolwork. Not only that, but seeing exactly where my time goes when I do study via the convenient “tags” feature helps me to efficiently plan out my days so I know exactly how much time I need to spend on which subject. However, my only questions/concerns are a.) can you only have 6 tags? I’ve tried to make more, but I can’t find a way to create a new tag or even delete old ones. Even just adding a section about this to the FAQs would be really helpful; b.) sometimes I’ll set a timer, and since Flora has gotten me used to not checking my phone for 1+ hour(s) at a time, I’ll go back an hour or so later to check how much time I have left to find that the app reset, and all that progress I made was lost! This can be very frustrating especially when I’m specifically trying to study a certain amount of hours per day. Other than that, great app; thanks to the developers for helping me stay focused this year!!

Effective!. I really love this app; it’s helped me be so productive, haha. It’s simple but works really well. The Grand Tour feature is also really cool! Plus, I like how you can set goals and how many hours you want to focus on the goal, although it would be nice to be able to reset the goals like every week or something. Another idea is maybe to have an option where you can silence notifications from other apps while planting a tree, because I know those lock screen text notifications can be very tempting, haha. Also, it would be cool if a timer could be added to your phone’s lock screen while planting so you know how much time you have left. Or maybe a widget. Finally, I think there’s a glitch of what plants I planted? When I planted one orange, it somehow duplicated and replaced other existing plants so now I have three oranges instead of the just one orange that I planted. I don’t mind that much though, since it still looks very nice, haha. Overall, I love the concept of this app and how it lets me channel my inner focus!

One of my most used apps. I’ve started using Flora pretty much daily for tasks that I either don’t enjoy and therefore need extra motivation to tackle, or when I know that I tend to get distracted during things like organizing papers etc. I set the timer to 15-20 minutes and challenge myself to race against the clock. If I need more time after that I simply set another timer. I find it helps keep my focus, adds extra motivation, and it is very satisfying to complete my task in the time I allot myself. The reason I keep my times short rather than setting a timer for an hour is that as a mom, I do sometimes need to get back to my (teenage) kids within a reasonable time but this allows me to wait the extra few minutes until I’ve completed the task before I do. And in the case that something really can’t wait, you can always pause the timer temporarily. I’m currently working on my third REAL tree and hoping to have many more by the end of this year!

Seems good but don’t have Facebook. Update:it’s May 5 of 2019 and you STILL DONT HAVE A EMAIL LOGIN OR ANY OTHER LOGIN ALTERNATIVE. You say you’ll add it as soon as possible but you updated the app last week and still NO EMAIL LOGIN. Just look at your negative reviews for 5 SECONDS and you’ll see that’s all we want. I have it as 4 stars in hopes that you will see this. You guys say that you’re “working on email login” but it’s been months. Why is it taking so long. Almost all your low star ratings are because it’s Facebook only. This isn’t good for your business because people won’t use the app because of Facebook login only. You might be working on it but make it a priority. I don’t want to use forest cause it cost $ and I just want to be productive. I understand it takes time to implement this but people have been asking since AT LEAST 2017, I didn’t scroll further cause it was long. Most apps that have sign ins have email function so why is it taking so long. At least give us an explanation

A great way to reduce screen time!. I have ADHD and get twitchy and anxious if I don’t have something going on. It’s too easy to get my stimulation needs met by mindlessly scrolling through social media or playing dumb phone games for hours rather than doing something productive. Do I really like wasting my time doing that? Nope. Do I feel guilty about it? Definitely! So, I open Flora and “plant” a seed. I don’t want to kill the tree (even though it’s digital, I would feel as guilty as I do when I accidentally kill my real plants), so I’m not on my phone and I have to resort to doing the housework I put off (bleh) to keep from getting restless. Now I have a cute forest on my phone AND a cleaner home! Win-win! Plus there’s a variety of trees to plant so I don’t get bored of growing the same thing over and over. I wish I had this app years ago!

If you struggle with procrastination GET THIS NOW.. Stop reading download this app right now then come read this review. Done? Ok let’s start. I struggle with procrastination, lets be honest, we all do. As a high schooler , college student , and eldest immigrant daughter, it’s hard to motivate yourself. You have so much on your mind and you slowly sweep into this pool of emptiness. It’s hard to get back in track and keep pushing. This app really helped me with that. To push away pleasure from games and texting and just focus on work. We tend to avoid things when we are stressed, but then end up in regret right before a due date. This app rewards your studying (and good habits) and helps you get back on track. It’s refreshing to see your plant grow at the end of your progress. The Friends feature is motivating. You get to see your friends progress and their little garden. The feature where both you and your friend get a shared time and if one of you goes on an app for too long... the tree dies. It helps keep both of you in check and be responsible. Quite funny when they kill the plant on purpose just for sh**s and giggles HAHAHAHAH!!! Anyways, even if you aren’t a student and just want to just sit down read a book or work on a personal project, this is a great helper! It’s free download it and explore it yourself! For a new app, it is almost perfect. I’m quite excited to see what they have in store for us. I don’t have any problems with it yet! Enjoy~❤️

GAME CHANGER. Honestly, I struggle with staying focused and off my phone to get things done. This app has helped me so much with just getting started with my work, which goes a long way. Also, working in 30 minute intervals on one task at a time is much more manageable (and effective) than a blank 3 hour block of time. Another reason I love this app is I love plants, and it is very satisfying having a cute little plant and eventually garden to look at after you have gotten some work done. It is very motivating to stay focused because if you mess up and get off task, this app tells you that you just KILLED a little tree. I don’t want to kill any trees (real or metaphorical) and I also love the fact that it plants real trees in the world. Overall this app is very visibly pleasing, useful, and simple. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone.

Great app—for phone addicts. If you can’t stay off your phone and need to get other things done, then I highly recommend Flora. It’s motivating (I recommend opting into Flora Care for the motivation of planting REAL trees!). Unfortunately, I wish there were a Flora version for us lazy ones who don’t have a phone addiction issue. I simply procrastinate a lot. I’ve found Flora is a great motivator, but the problem is that many of the things I’m procrastinating about are phone calls I need to make. That this is geared for the phone addict crowd limits its usefulness as an aid for those who are simply habitual procrastinators. It’s the reason I’m now looking at other apps to try to fit my need to be able to get things done when they sometimes require phone use. I would recommend Flora either put out other Pomodoro-style apps or open up availability to other uses, which would help people like me as well as likely expand their consumer base. But as an app to keep you off the phone and motivate you, this app deserves FIVE stars. Areas where it could be improved: Better tutorial and FAQ. I have had to email the developer a couple times for answers to what would seem like basic questions yet aren’t covered adequately in their tutorial or FAQ. The developer has been very friendly and responsive, btw.

Helped Keep me focused and Motivated. The timer feature itself was all I was looking for; but soon came to realize there was more. The app is cute and nicely laid out with easy tracking of focus time and break time. Every focus session grows little plants from different locations around the world using the “world tour” feature. This app won’t let you leave the app and go do something else or else a tree or plant is ‘killed’ so I bring myself back to focus. But not just digital plants are being grown, with a very small subscription, you can make it so that every focus session allows a real tree somewhere in their many locations worldwide to actually to planted, therefore a huge help to the environment and you get your work done. Generally a great tool. The only thing I think is unfair is you get penalized for canceling a session or pausing the timer. Sometimes, things happen for a while and we are unable to follow through. It could just be a bathroom break, a desperate drink, a call from a a co-resident. A pause in the timer or a cancel of a session because you realized a bit late like,” Oh wait, I’m not actually starting work yet. I haven’t done this or that. I’ll start later.” Otherwise it’s a good tool and really adorable in design.

The best tree timer app on the market. Great app to help me stay focused while doing my necessary reading. I’ve always had problems concentration, but that has been made worse since the COVID quarantine and my reliance on phones/computers. It had gotten to the point where I would sit down with a book or something and within minutes I would be back on my phone checking something or responding to someone without realizing that I was no longer reading or doing my task. Now, I automatically pick up my phone and I’m gently reminded that I’m working on something else. Plus, after paying a few bucks, there’s an added benefit of slowly working towards a tree donation. I think that helps me stay concentrated, the award of getting my little digital plant as well as working towards a real tree. It’s worth a download to try and it’s definitely better than the app charging money to do something similar.

Fun way to stay on task and great for kids too!. This app is awesome! Is a really fun way to stay focused and on task for people with ADHD. Speaking from experience, I work best when I set a goal or reward at the end of my task. Is usually clean rest, meaning I get to do whatever I want 30 min-1hr. But this app has given me an extra reward at the end of my tasks. I do t usually get distracted with my phone but everything else around me is a distraction, but with Flora I get to see the time left on my task so it motivates me to work faster and also rewards me with a cute tree or flower at the end. I’m always so curious to see what grows. I downloaded the app on my kids phones as well because they have ADHD as well and I home school them so is really easy for them to get distracted. Ow they are motivated to see what grows at the and of their school focus time and I even heard them saying they are going to compete to see who can grow the most trees and flowers. 😂! Totally recommend for kids and adults ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

For once, a productivity app I use. This simple timer gives just enough incentive to actually make myself do stuff. I have A.D.D., and have tried so many apps to make myself focus. Most have so many features that I get drawn in, use it once, and then never use it again. This one is different. You just plant a seed, start the timer, decide how long you’re going to do the timer, and then do it. The trees are really cute. And once you start the timer, you don’t want to kill them. It’s just the right mix of simple and functional— it has everything I want, but doesn’t overwhelm me with more. It’s actually helpful, and got me out of a rut. And, the fact that it can be used to ACTUALLY help decarbonize our planet is amazing. Thanks for making this great app!!

EDIT: Thank you!. Thank you SO MUCH for adding other login options than facebook. I’ve been loving the app so far, and I’ve gotten so many things done today. It’s cool how you added the Sign-In With Apple option, too. Now I don’t have to download a paid app to get all the nice features that this app has. Thanks again! I’ve been waiting to use this app for almost a year now, since I’m only in middle school and can’t download the paid Forest app and don’t have a Facebook account to log in to this app. It’s kind of annoying that when I found this app I was like “FINALLY I’VE FOUND IT,” but then realized that I couldn’t even log in. Now it’s been 12 months and still you have not released another email option. Is it supposed to take this long? I know I’m being impatient, but you’re blocking out so many users because of the limit you put on them. You shouldn’t expect students to have Facebook, anyway. So many people are in need of this app, and I’ve signed up for the email notification and everything. Please, please release this option as soon as you can. I’m almost in high school, and this app will be so beneficial in helping me stay focused. Thanks!

Free and works so well. I love flora so much it helps me get do much work done. I’m super screen obsessed so having an app that forces me to get stuff done by keeping me off my phone helps a lot. You can grow so many different types of plants. It’s completely free and you can of course get a monthly subscription where you do gage to pay, but you plant real trees at different rates depending on which subscription you get (there are different ones with varying prices). You can also pause your progress while your working on growing an in game tree, which will allow you to use your phone, but subtracts from the total focus time. If this feature gets you to use your phone too much you can actually turn it off as well! There’s also a to do list, and you can add the amount of time you want to spend on different goals. You can make these goals reoccur as well (ex daily, weekly, biweekly). I highly recommend!!

LOVE, and Want for iPad. I’ve tried a lot of different habit/to-do tracking and focus apps, but none that had both the rich feature set (habits, to-dos, focus, connections) and the real-world benefit (beyond my own). I also love the “journey” concepts that are unlocked with reasonable engagement with the app, rather than high-bar “purchases” that constantly seem out of reach as I’ve experienced with other apps. It’s truly an app that balances a motivation to use it with a motivation to put down my phone and focus. I like it so much that I wish there was an iPad version to complete the iPhone app, perhaps even one that syncs so that if I start a timer on one device, the same timer starts on the other (maybe if I choose for it to be so)... I sometimes find that it’s too easy to lose focus when I have another device to get around using my phone. Thanks so much to the developers for their work and impact!

AMAZING APP ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE ADHD. I have been downloading so many apps that claim to help keep you focused and stay on task especially if you have adhd I’ve downloaded to do apps and schedule apps and everything you could think of, and one day I found this app. And i love plants and growing plants and so to have this app that lets me grow a virtual garden, and holds me accountable if I go to a different app while in focus mode is amazing, I’ve only killed 1 tree so far😭 I was really sad about it too! So it really pushed me to not get on my phone and get distracted while doing something so I don’t kill my growing plants!! I love that it also has the option for you to hold yourself accountable and put down a certain price should you lose focus and that money goes to planting real trees in the world! This is an amazing app and I love it so much!! Definitely has helped me get things done! And to be motivated to get more things done to unlock more trees!❤️ thankyou so much for this app!!!❤️❤️❤️🦋

Great!. After just two days of using this app, I can finally say I have found a tool that actually helps me focus. I love the incentive of planting trees, it is an incentive outside myself which is more motivating than a cup of coffee. I feel that with each plant added to my personal garden I am working to make a difference! The reason I didn’t give this app a 5 star rating is the lack of alarm when the goal has been met. It doesn’t seem to have one (or I just can’t find it). I like to break up my tasks in smaller increments which this app does wonderfully, but it doesn’t alert me to when I need to take a break or switch to a new task. Ultimately, I have found myself working for an hour instead of 25 minutes (who CJ is GREAT, don’t get me wrong), but it also doesn’t show a true reflection of my focus and doesn’t show me true progress toward my goal. I’d love to have the option for a notification. (If it’s there, please point me in the right direction!).

Love this app!! However, there are some bugs. I love using flora! The plants are super cute and it is FREE to use. You only pays when you want more plants. Meanwhile, it is online!! Comparing to other pomodoro apps that are offline, not only can you see your friends progress and stay motivated, you can also keep track of your progress across devices!! Nevertheless, there have been some bugs. I usually write comments under my stories to keep track of my studying habit which I prefer to keep private. I had all my stories set to be private, yet it sometimes automatically set my stories to be “share with friends”. When I changed my story settings, it told me “fail to update, please try later”. In addition, I kept getting reminder for my completed task which was deleted a long time ago. Thankfully, all problems disappeared after I redownloaded floral app several times. Overall, I greatly enjoyed this app!

Really helpful app. Was really nervous about starting college after being out of high school over 4 years, but this app has been super helpful. The iPhone was just starting to hit major popularity when I was in middle school/high school, but the temptation was not nearly as bad, then. I can’t pinpoint why I care so much about planting tiny little virtual trees and why it helps, but it does. I have encountered one small thing that I’m not sure if it is an error or glitch, but this entire week, I haven’t been able to grow anything but sequoia trees and I have been in 94/95% what feels like all week, despite putting in nearly 10 hours of focus. Really loving this app and would love to continue using it, but would like more than just a forest of sequoias 😅

Super helpful for getting tasks done!. I’ve been using it a couple days now and I’ve found this app very helpful. I’ve made different tasks and assigned them time slots, color-coded them, and set weekly goals for myself so that I can stay on track and stay motivated. The plants I get from completing a study session make me feel the immediate gratification of being focused which is hard to do normally because I can’t really see the fruits of my labor besides the words I type which don’t feel as rewarding as a mini flower garden on my Home Screen. I have yet to try studying with friends, but I like studying by myself so this isn’t really a bad thing for me. I highly recommend this app to people who have trouble staying on task and organizing/prioritizing their tasks/goals, but also enjoy reward systems!

How could I live without it?. I installed this app at the beginning of the school year to help me focus on assignments (I have issues with focus, and distanced learning hit me hard) and honestly? I love it. The ability to use tags helps to track everything, and the Grand Tour, plus the fact that the app tracks how many hours you’ve spent in a week, materializes my efforts in a way that is very satisfying to me. I’ve only ever used the app alone, so I cannot comment on any multiplayer features. Here’s a story: I procrastinated heavily this trimester, so I’d ended up with dozens of assignments to do and a little less than a month to do them. I’d though it’d be impossible to do them all, and that I’d have to skip some in the interest of time. Yesterday, I submitted the final assignment. It was all thanks to this app—without it, I’d be unable to gather my willpower and start, let alone finish on track to get straight As. So, uh, thanks.

Good for you and the world. First off, it is really free if you just want the bonus encouragement of staying focused on your tasks. You do have the option though of either wagering on your ability to stay focused the whole time and if you fail then your money goes to support a great cause or doing a one time donation to every few hours of focus that you do results in a REAL tree getting planted. The idea is brilliant and can make a real difference on our world and the little way that having a tree grow because of the work I do actually has helped me stay on task. So, it works :) And honestly if you have the financial means to do the wager, do it! Gives me additional incentive to stay on task and if I mess up it’s just a small donation that has little effect on me and a big effect on the world.

How Flora helped me with my studies. Flora is definitely one of the best studying helpers in the telephone itself helped me to do all of my homework 20 minutes less than my normal work time so I would definitely suggest downloading this app it is the best learning supporter in the Apple Store or the Samsung store or in any telephone company you own it saves time, helps you improve, in courage you to keep on going keeps you motivated and there are may more thing that it does to help you and your studying and working journey. So go download it and what he yourself improve and have fun while your doing it. Thank you for reading my opinion on this wonderful and amazing app. 🙂

Great idea, great app. I am a horrible procrastinator and I will distract myself with anything, and this app is literally the only thing that keeps me on track while I study. It’s so simple but it actually keeps me off of my phone. I used to get distracted every few minutes by dumb random things, but the thought of killing a tree keeps me focused. I have been so productive since I began using this app. The incentive of having real money on the line is genius, and the money actually goes to a good cause. I recommend this app to all students, procrastinators, and easily distracted people everywhere. Seriously.

100% yes yes yes. It’s genuinely so fun. I added my friends on it and it’s so cool to see when they get their plants! When I set it, I don’t want to kill the tree so I never open it. Betting money on it is completely optional and I might use it soon if killing a tree isn’t enough to keep me off my phone. 100% recommendation and it’s free so if you don’t like it, you didn’t pay a cent for it (but I guarantee you’ll have a blast!!)

:/. i was really hoping that this would be a good app as i desperately need help with my procrastination. in fact, i’m writing this review instead of writing a renaissance biography due next week. i was honestly a little disappointed because just as i was about to use it, i discovered that you NEED a facebook account to use it. can’t use hotmail, icloud, google accounts/gmail, ONLY facebook. this is really frustrating as not everyone has facebook or even allowed social media, and i doubt people are gonna make a facebook account just to use a procrastination app. i was really hoping this would work, as the forest app costs and all other apps are just a normal timer which really doesn’t stop me :( i wish i could give a better review, i really do, but unfortunately my first and only impressions weren’t they best.

Amazing app!. This is such a good app! I’m a homeschooler so it’s hard for me to focus sometimes… I asked my older sister to stay in the room while I do my school so I’m focused, she said “ get the app Flora! It helps you study and you grow a plant, if you go off the app ur plant dyes” she told me all about it, and I was amazed! So Iimmediately grabbed my phone, went onto the App Store, and searched up Flora! My sister helped me search ur up, and I’m in love! The best app ever! It’s like a game but helps you study, definitely recommend! 100% should get it!

Flora - Honest Review. I really quite like this app and the idea of it is very clever. Whenever I need to study, I put my headphones and music on and set a timer for how long I want to study for. I also get the option for a break ranging from 3-30 minutes. I often choose 1 hour study with 10 minute break. I also like the idea how if you go on your phone or pause the timer you loose break time. The reason I gave Flora 4 stars and not 5 is because there are a few things that could be added but they are only minor. Overall, highly recommend Flora as it gets used a lot by me and im sure you would use it a lot. This app is free and a good option if you don’t want to spend money on a similar app which costs. :)

My friends and I live by this app!. This app is such an effective way to study effectively. Its a study logger/tracker, timer and almost kind of like a 'study social media' all in one! I love the tour aspect of it, I think it adds such incentive to work! The daily summaries can be really motivating to work and overall, one of my favorite study apps. There are some general glitches, every now and then the timer will get stuck at the beginning and you have no option but to kill the tree, and it often gives you random notifications in the middle of the night that one of your friends are studying when they're not. Other than these small bugs, this app is really really effective! Good luck to everyone with studying!

Best Productivity App Ever!. One thing for me was that it was very difficult for me to motivate myself to study over the past few years. Productivity apps like these helped me to actually enjoy studying - incredible right?!? - and feel more inclined to achieve higher marks. I’ve used the app Forest before, but being a student who uses free versions of every app - literally! - I felt disappointed that their new update has led to such greed on money. Flora has enabled me to indulge even in the littlest moments in life and make it more organised and procrastination-free. One improvement for the app is try and keep the work screen to be as clean as possible. It would be better if the timer was bigger and more and also show the plant that we have decided to grow.

10/10 app. My productivity has increased tenfold after I downloaded this app. I find myself more motivated and even happy to do homework now. I really like being able to look at my stats and seeing how much work I’ve done in a day/week, and also watching your garden expand over time is really satisfying. Overall such a great app with awesome features and a really cool concept. Thank you Flora for making me a more productive and useful human being.

Great for study. I love the flora app. I’m a horrible procrastinator and part of that is constantly picking up my phone and distracting myself. Have flora means I’m less likely to do that. I set the time I want to focus for (usually in 30 min intervals) and am able to leave my phone alone because I don’t want to break the tree in growing! Even better is the knowledge that by doing so I’m helping plant real life trees too. A great app I’m sure I’ll continue using for years to come!

Amazing. Seeing how other apps require you to charge for this service makes me appreciative of Flora. I trialled this leading up to my mid year exam period and I noticed just how much time I was wasting while studying. It keeps me on track; the competition between friends, ability to put stakes on my time and just be rewarded with a plant for doing my work, keeps me on task. Couldn’t recommend more.

amazing app. flora helps me so much with focusing on study! I’m currently in the break time and I don’t feel tired from working because I’m taking breaks. it also helps me track what homework I actually have to do. I love this app! if you are in any form of schooling, you neeeeeed this app. 100% recommend. I can’t believe it’s free lol. there’s only one way I think it could be improved. something to improve in is maybe to have continuous breaks and work time -like a pomodoro timer. otherwise, once i’ve finished rounds it shows up as 2 separate stories and doesnt look like much as I do only 30 minute work times. xx

love the update!. I love the updated timer - I was always annoyed when I was in the zone, and my timer went up, so having it run until I reopen is great! The app has helped me focus a lot better, but there are a couple glitchy aspects(Eg. the app lags and doesn’t log my progress sometimes, and if you click through the weekly summaries really quickly, the app force shuts…) Overall I love the app!

Best study app. Super easy to use, app design and layout is clear and aesthetically pleasing. I also rate that you can set up notifications and weekly goals. Easily the best study app I’ve found, well worth it for a cute lil virtual garden (I bought the add-on because I didn’t want the journey to end and my life has elevated). You can pick which plant you’d like at the end of your session, so it’s fun to customise your garden :)

Awesome for taking a breather <3. Really good if you wanna take time away from your phone but also wanna help in saving the planet. I only just started but it’s helped me get that extra push to not be so phone addicted. I also feel really guilty if I kill a tree :( but as a result I give myself realistic times that are comfortable to my current needs. Sometimes I’ll only need 15-30. I only do more if I know I shouldn’t be on my phone cause of (studying, washing my car, talking to family)

Great except but could be exceptional if. For some reason when tree is finished with planting I don’t get a notification? Or I do get a banner but there’s no sound to indicate so, so I’d need to check my phone to see if the time’s up. Would definitely prefer if there was a sound option to indicate that a tree has finished planting. (Past review: - Make an option for whitelisting apps that you may need to use while doing work/study! As not everything on the phone is a distraction, some things need to be used/accessed during productive times too (e.g. phone notes) If this is fixed, I’ll be able to use the app in more scenarios! Thank you! - Another idea is creating the option to create a list of different whitelisted combinations, and apply them individually to the specific goals we’re working on. - would be fantastic)

SO GOOD. no because this is actually my favourite studying app please get it. not only do you get to grow a cute little garden as exciting study motivation but you can also get a widget of your garden on your home page as a reminder and you can grow so many different plants, label and record your study sessions, insert a photo of what you did, etc. ITS SO GOOD BYEEEE SO ADORABLE AND HELPFUL i really be trying to get everyone i know on this app because i want them to succeed and do well :))

Amazing idea seriously...life saviour pretty much. With this app you are forced forced FORCED to not use your phone. Because if you do while the app works, you will have to pay a fee with real money. So basically you have to not use your phone at all for a specified amount of time you set in the app. You have no clue how many times you pick it up and use it within an hour, and trust me, you’d be surprised when you find out. With this app you will realise how often you use your phone hourly/daily and eventually you will become more and more aware of how badly addicted you are to it. This will help you stop using it as much, basically. Because, when you will feel like using it, you will instantly remember you made a deal with real money not to do so. And you are automatically not going to use it. Also, the money that you eventually end up to lose, (‘for the first few times you are definitely going to lose a few dollars’), will go to volunteers that plant trees all over the world. To save the planet. Which is awesome. We do both good to ourselves and to them. And to the planet! In the end we all have to save it as much as they are.

Bring back total hours. I love flora and use it often but since the update I can’t see how many hours in total I’ve used on the app over the last few years and that was what kept me motivated. Please bring this function back! Update: Flora has informed me that they will bring total hours back in a future update which is fantastic, fingers crossed it’s not too far in the future!

Amazing! Just one thing... This is a really great app. If you’re a really bad procrastinator and need a solution, this is the app. But I have feel like if you could add one more feature, it would make it even better. It would amazing if you could add a blacklist where all the apps you want blocked while you’re studying/working can get blocked. Other than that, it’s great!

You can plant real trees!!. At first I didn’t think I would like the app but then when I realised I can plant real trees by focusing and make a positive change I started liking the app. I love how affordable the app is too, thank you guys for helping everyone to be more productive and also helping the community and environment! You guys are super stars! 🌟 I’ve been having difficulty focusing lately but I just focused for almost an hour just because I can plant a real tree ❤️

Nice :). It’s a cool app! I’ve been using it for a while and I really like the design of it and the function too :)) the only thing I’m wondering about is that I’m constantly getting notifications reminding me to do some tasks to “take the grand tour and start planting trees” for some reason but other than that it’s been helping me manage my time :D I love that you can study and plant trees at the same time

aesthetic & practical!. Along with how well it keeps me off my phone, the whole concept of “planting trees” is so rewarding, it’s so satisfying to build myself a little garden and it makes me proud to visually see how productive i can be! My friend and i also have little friendly weekly competitions to see who’s done more, i have yet to win :) During school, Flora really motivates me to study & complete work, so if you’re struggling, try it!

Great study tool ! Love it ❤️. Flora is a great app that can be utilised for those students that have trouble focusing and get distracted by mobile use. I personally love flora to keep track of how much time I am staying focused and keeping track of my time to use it wisely and of course feeling a sense of accomplishment. Over the years flora has improved its features tremendously from once being an app where there was no other option but to log in with Facebook to now a user friendly tool.

Absolutely amazing app. I love this app. It makes me feel so motivated with doing my tasks and chores. I usually struggle with being motivated and focused on chores due to ADHD. I feel happy that I am doing chores and also growing my own garden while doing it and even if a put a bit of pocket money and effort I will be able to grow my own trees somewhere overseas. I absolutely love this app. Such a beautiful app and gesture to make this for people. This app changed my life. Thank you.

Does not work well on iPad. The app auto quits on iPad even if I don’t touch my iPad at all for the duration and ends up killing my tree. I’ll leave my iPad alone for three hours and when I unlock my iPad I’m suddenly on my home screen and when I come back to the app my tree is dead. Quite frustrating when I’ve actuallt been using the app right and want to see my nice little forest growing rather than a profile full of dead trees. Also the app does not tell me when my tree has grown or warn me if I accidentally quit the app (even though these work fine on my iPhone) though I have notifications switched on.

Really useful!. The app really lives up to its purpose! As long as you are honest with yourself, it really helps with productivity especially when your main concern is getting distracted by your phone. Receiving a new plant/fruit is truly satisfying 😍. However, I wish there was an option to increase or decrease time once you already set a goal, as sometimes you may complete a task early or need more time. ALSO, I would love a pet version ‘Fauna’ 🤩🤩.

This app is good but... The app is good, I work more using this app and get things done faster. It helps with my procrastination quite a bit, Beside the times when I procrastinate using the app😂😂😂. I have a suggestion to make for the app, I hope this get read and possibly taken into consideration. Sometimes I finish my work before the time limit goes off and it would be great if there was a finish or done option even if the timer is still going. Thank you 🙏

I like the idea of planting trees. This App really helped. I like the idea that helping the green environment. Every time when I distracted by other stuff (such as go petting my cats), I would think of the tree I was planting, and I would keep focus on my work for the sake of the green environment. Although it’s just a very very tiny contribution, but I believe it will be a bigger part if more people doing the same. Strongly recommend for those who be easily distracted.

Perfect for the forever procrastinator/ADHD. Absolutely love this app, it has got my through some extremely challenging study periods by providing that incentive and motivation I needed to keep me on track with progress I could actually see in the form of a pretty garden. However after using it for 400+ hrs it has started to lose its spark and I need something new to get me excited to use it - I have been desperately waiting years now for another tour, I beg you please please please make more tours!!!! I’ve sent you so many suggestions - coral reef, Australian natives, succulents/cacti, carnivorous, fruit/veg…. I also love that you can use flora care to plant real trees as a positive motivator. It would also be great to be able to see how many trees I’ve planted so far! It has been glitchy in the past (crashing and killing trees that I hadn’t killed etc) which has been problematic when I’ve put a price on the tree and then been charged - not sure if this is still the case (as I have lost the motivation to use it without new trees), however you can report these instances to the app and usually get money back.

Best app for staying off your phone. I’ve used this app for not even an hour and it’s already the best one I’ve used to stay focused. It holds me accountable if I become distracted and I love that you can have “to do” lists and set reminders to get things done. It’s so satisfying to have different trees grow and see your progress. I don’t think I’ll ever need to even consider other focus apps after this.

In intention is good but the system froze!. I love the idea of this App and has been using it for a while. But recently it became weird!! When I finished my last three sessions, the App wouldn’t stop and the timer automatically counted on. I.e. after the 25-min session I set up, instead of stopping immediately and let me see the tree, the timer counted on beyond 25:00 non-stopping. And there’s no function to click to stop it. The most recent one I let it count on to 40 minutes and decided to shut the App and I got a dead plant instantly. Sad and disappointing at this stage.

Facebook!! Really, Facebook?. It says that the age rating is four plus but you have to sign in with Facebook? I’m 13 and currently homeschooling, and it sounds like a great app to keep me productive, as having my iPod there is really tempting. I want to use this app, but I don’t have Facebook. More concerned about the whole Facebook thing, but I am confused why it is 4+. Have you ever seen a 4 year old with Facebook? I for one have not. Anyway, hope that you can adjust this soon.

Such a good app. I was really sceptical at first, it came across as a gimmick app that wouldn’t really work. However I have found it to be so good, I used to be able to focus for period of five to ten minutes but I am slowly working my way up and focusing for longer periods of time. However, I would like it if the app had a way to better view your ‘garden’. It’s a kind of weird view of it and just having your sort of trophies there would be a better motivator I’m sure. Overall, definitely worth a download.

✨What a Cute, Interesting, and Fun experience✨. I love the design of it and I love how it’s kinda strict to me when I’m leaving the app. Basically, it’s a good app for yourself to study and also being strictly to yourself. The most interesting stuff is that the app will remain you when your break time is time up, the moment when you tries to leave the app or stop the timer, it’s will ask you that you will kill the plant if you leave or stop the timer. It’s so cute and heartbroken at the same time. So I decided to stay at the end. It’s will help you to focus on your work. 5 stars for this app is worth it!

Keeps you focused. I love this app! I’m terrible for picking up my phone while studying and spend hours on it before getting back into study. When I use Flora, the second I pick up my phone it reminds me I’m supposed to be studying and only have a few minutes left before I can have a break. After a while I stop craving my phone and get more motivated to study! I really enjoy seeing the garden I grow and absolutely hate when I break my study session and kill a tree. It genuinely motivates me and I’m the laziest uni student ever.

Best app for any student, 100% recommend it. I love this app so much, its basically a pomodoro timer but in an adorable game! As a post grad law student, when trying to sit down and focus on study the hardest part is always starting (especially during covid while all classes were online) - so I plant a tree and grow my little jungle. Its so satisfying when I’ve done lots of work and my jungle looks so lush and the hours all add up. Seeing an actual visual of how hard I’ve worked creates so much extra momentum to keep working. Even when tasks are huge and I feel like I’ve spent hours getting no where, instead of getting overwhelmed I just do it tree by tree. It lets me actually see and feel good about my progress. I really appreciate this app, it’s helped me so much 🌵🪴🌾💚

Love It. Helps me focus so much! I like learning about what plants come from which areas and seeing my garden grow. I also find the fee option really motivating and useful. I’m on the lowest subscription so every 48 hours they claim to plant a real tree as well which is really cool. Just provides even more motivation for me. I really like this app. Some of the UI/UX is a bit clunky and could be improved but quite good overall.

Great App. As the school year was approaching, and I was incoming freshman in highschool, I decided to try using this app for time management to put studying time in between my extracurricular activities (plus drivers ed!) This app has saved my first two years of highschool deeply! I absolutely recommend this to any student who wants to continue improving on time management. This has definitely improved my habits on getting work done.

Good concept but a bit greedy. The focus effects of the app are great, the trees are a good measurement of success and the overall premise is very effective. The payment for failing is also a good incentive, but I think setting a minimum of $5 is greedy, as theres no requirement to pay any money, so it would be more beneficial to let people set whatever charge they want. Some people don't have $5 to throw away whenever they fail, and setting $1 or $0.50 is a good enough incentive still, so I think this should be changed.

So close to being perfect. I used to love this app it’s great for study tracking. when I first downloaded it on iPad I could leave the app and work without it needing to be opened and it was very useful but lately I can’t leave the app for more than 5 seconds without it making me go back in or I’ll kill my tree. I think as a student trying to study it would be better if you could allow people to leave the app and it still work.

Great App. I set goals previous to having flora and I never stuck with them but I have had flora for three months now and it helps me so much with studying and achieving my goals within a certain amount of time and helps with my time management skills. One thing this app could improve on is if you lock your Home Screen Timers pop up in a large space so you can see how long you have left without having to unlock your phone but overall super great app

Great app- recently buggy. I love this app. A great way for me to focus on study and interests me in seeing what the next tree is going to be. I overall have spent around 350 hours on it, definitely more than I would have studied without it. However, recently it’s been glitching on me. I’ve gone to see how much long I have and then it will suddenly show that I have killed my tree. If I was actually on my phone I would understand it but I open the app straight from the Lock Screen. It gets irritating after doing hour long trees all for nothing. Don’t know how I can fix it but I would really appreciate if I could learn how to avoid it.

THIS APP IS THE BESR. i am absolutely in love with this app. it is so productive and it gets me in a good mode every single day you don’t have to pay any money and it is so easy to use and get started on. i am getting rid of all of my bad habits and it’s just a great app in general. if you wanna take it a step further you give the app your credit details and everything you don’t do you can pick how much money can come out of ur account. i feel like this is so smart and creative and it really pushes me to achieve my goals!

Honestly The Best App. I was having a hard time studying and getting all my work done but I’m not even kidding I heard people talking about flora and I decided to download it and it’s so cool it’s really fun to watch your little tree grow while you study and it’s good to have a timer so you can just focus and get the amount done in that time you said and then just do what you want knowing you tried.🌹🌸💐🌺🌷🌻🍀🌲🥀🥀🌴🌼☘️🌿🍃🌱🌵🌳🍂🍁🍄🎍🌾🪷🪴

Motivating app, Please Add!!. It’s very fun and motivating to see your friends get studying! However what I feel this app lacks is the feature to care for your garden. A little section just to showcase your garden would be super motivating and cute! Just like 3 rows of the 2D plants, and maybe the ability to keep the garden fresh by watering it. But don’t make it too hard! Just a fun way to customise and show your garden would be really appreciated.

Great Study Aid. As someone who has ADHD this has been a great help in honing focus and I often get most of my homework or studying done with this app. I’ve never had such an easy time studying. This is the best study app I’ve seen thus far, it’s motivational tactics are incredibly helpful, I love the idea of growing different plants in the real world for the sake of the planet.. Top-notch features

Absolute gem for productivity!!. I’m currently in preparation for college next year and I have to say, this app is stellar for keeping me motivated! I’m actually getting a bit addicted to making sure my garden is full of new little plants. But it’s the good kind of addiction. I plan to continue using this app to raise my grades and stay focused on my goals. Would recommend 100% to anyone looking to stay on task! As a chronic procrastinator, it’s such a relief being able to get things done(and being rewarded for it).

Stops Distractions. Recently I have been seeking help, as ADD is becoming a reoccurring issue in my life. This app takes away my main distraction, and doesn’t give me a choice but to focus. I love the added fun of touring the world and learning about all sorts of plants, and I find it so rewarding seeing my garden grow colourful. I also love how it’s free, and to pay is TOTALLY optional. I truely cannot believe I lived without this app. I’ve had it for over a month and life has not been the same. Thank you Flora!

Amazing App. This app is amazing. I highly recommended this app. I love the point of this app and the ethical side of it. It is great for anyone to use and is very simple and easy to learn how to make your way through the app. I have only had a couple problems with the app. Sometimes when I study it will say I studied for 1 minute however I have studied anywhere from 25 mins - 2 hours. Or can get annoying as you feel like you have done nothing, but the hours are still counted correctly, you feed has just messed up. If this small imperfection is was fixed, the app would be florless. :)

Great app. Overall I like how I am unable to enter other apps and my Home Screen when my tree is growing however once I forgot I had a tree growing and it died. Kinda sad, I wish I could remove the negativity from my page so I don’t have to look at it every day. That’s the consequence though, so I’ll do better next time. I would like to see COMPLETED button while my tree is planting because I complete my work before the timer is done but I guess that’s not how it works.

amazing. keeps me very focused on uni studies! love the little trees

Not foolproof unfortunately. Love flora cuz the aesthetic is nice and I like looking at my study time and being proud of myself for acc studying yk,, however I am a huge procrastinator and i always end up pausing it and getting distracted so it’s not 100% foolproof, still love it tho

Good app deserves notice. I seldom give reviews, but this one is an exception. I used it with a couple of my friends and it turns out that we really got things done much faster because no one wanted to let others down. When we saw the trees came out it was really a cheerful momement for all of us. Good job, Flora!

amazing!!!!!. 100% helps me stay off my phone while studying. seeing what plant i get after my timer motivates me to stay off my phone so i don’t kill the plant. such a great idea for an app. i cannot express how much i love this app

Get it!!. Love this! It’s very helpful for studying in university. I have ADHD so I have a very hard time staying on task. This app keeps me accountable.

Spyware alert. Forces you to use Facebook. Never do that if you want to be safe.. Spyware alert. Forces you to use Facebook. Never do that if you want to be safe.

Lol. Lost me at "Log in with Facebook"

love. I love this app!

I can’t even use the app!. I am unable to use this app unless I have a Facebook account. I don’t have Facebook and nor do I want to get it. Not cool.

Love. It helps me study and overall helps me fight phone addiction. However i dislike when ios terminates my plants.

Amazing App. I love this app! when I study curiosity pushes me to want to concentrate and see what the next tree is! Then time goes fast. I have to say. Although some of my daily task is so hard~ with this app, I could quickly begin but not delay it at began!

Motivant !. C'est vraiment motivant pour l'étude et en plus j'adore les plantes !

motivation to study. when i don’t have any motivation, i put on flora and tell myself i’ll get a plant, a flower, and eventually, a beautiful garden!

Great app for studying. Very motivating app for my studies, it blocks you from using the phone for your study period and plants cute trees! At Christmas I got a cute surprise of Christmas trees!! 🎄even more cute and festive to keep me motivated! I’ve only used the free version so far and it has been helpful. If you try to use the phone it gives you motivational messages to get you back to your task and not kill the tree, this actually worked for me despite being cynical about these kinds of things and very unmotivated to study

I love this app!. I really like this app it just sucks when I have a focus and forget about it and kill my tree. Feels like a loss. I also always forget that I can contest it…

So helpful. Helps me focus and gives me determination to finish my work and get off my phone

Used to be Good. This app was amazing and I never had any issues with it. Now, my trees are randomly dying. I’ll come back to my phone after the selected period of time and I have received a notifications that I killed my tree. They also randomly start growing sometimes after I press start (I start a session and the time instantly goes down to 0 and the tree has grown). I really hope these issues can be fixed soon or I will be using a different app.

Perfection. Fantastic to practice focusing

wont delete my account. tried to delete my account twice and it wont work ?? when i first tried to delete it it said "this may take a while, please wait" and was loading forever, the second time i tried i stayed in the app and watched it load for 20 minutes ! didn't even work ! so if you make an account be prepared to keep it or be prepared to fight to delete, they don't make it easy. definitely something they need to fix. there's other studying apps just get one of those so you can delete it whenever you want, easy peasy.

Don’t use. Requires a Facebook login, sharing your friend list, sharing DOB and email. Too much!

Listen please Flora!. Facebook doesn’t work in my region! Really want to try the app! Can I just log in with an email account? My friends say that I am not spending time with them! All I just do is play on my phone! I have serious phone addiction and I really need to cut down my addiction! Please make the app have some other log in thing! I am losing friends all because of flora! I need to try the app WITHOUT a Facebook account. So please please PLEASE let me play this cool app WITHOUT a Facebook account.

Unable to Delete Account. Tried to delete my account in the app, but it's impossible. Despite offering a 'delete account' option, it just leaves you stuck on the deletion page indefinitely...

love. love

So helpful!. It literally stopped me from procrastinating!!!!

good. helps me study

Can you listen to music from your phone?. Are you able to listen to music while doing a task with out your tree dying.

Really cute. Helped me focus a lot more since i started using it :)

Amazing. This app helps me so much and is overall such a smart and unique app

No reason to use that bloated copy. Forces you to login even for the basic feature, and couldn’t get passes the first step of the tutorial because UI doesn’t fit well on older iPhone screen ratio. Just don’t waste your time and go for another similar app.

flora. helps me focus and study a lot better than other apps. Definitely recommend + super cute

Studying App. I use it while studying so I don’t get distracted on my phone and the plants are a bonus when you are finished.

Love this app!. Perfect side assistant to get us through tasks that can be overwhelming!

Amazing for easily distracted students. I am a university student who is horrible at time management and having an app that forces me to do one specific task without stopping to look at my phone has helped me get my grades on track again

price medal?. I really like this app because it helps me concentrate, but I don’t know what to do at “Price Medal”, so I am stopped there and unable to go to stops 5 & +

Forces you to login with Facebook only. A lot of people don’t have Facebook, this is ridiculous.

good app too many in app purchases. the app is great, i just can’t stand having so many things for a good cause locked behind a paywall.

Xmas tree!. Can you provide more xmas trees please?

good app. helped me alot

Don't have Facebook. I just downloaded the app, but then realized I can't use it without Facebook which I don't have. Please fix that, and I know you are but could it go quicker?

Why Facebook. If you want help studding why do we need Facebook to get on the app .not everyone has Facebook I was very excited about this app and needing to have Facebook disappointed me.#donthavefacebook

It’s nice. It’s very useful to be able to concentrate

Great app. I’m someone who has struggled with procrastination and being unproductive. This app has really helped me and also lets me make a difference by planting trees ! Highly recommend this.

Can’t use it 😕. You can’t use this app unless you have a Facebook account

Different plants!. Love this app but I would be so much more invested in completing the study sessions if i was actually getting a different plant each time. About 90% of the time I get blueberries. Makes it significantly less motivating to avoid other apps since I know the plant that i’m killing is just a blueberry lol

super!. this app makes me sooo productive!

Great app!☺️. This app is great and helps me study ! I love the plants that you receive when you finish your timer! This app is free and great ! You should try it!

cute little app. with cute little trees

Great App, just needs some major fine tuning. This is a great app, there are very affordable plans if you want your focus time to actually contribute to planting real trees in the world. The only issue is when you want to study with friends who have flora. The only issues I have with this app are: 1) The timer starts as soon as you send a request for your friends to join your study session. This means that time is wasted until they can all actually join rather than all of us starting at the same time. 2) Inviting friends is very old school and clunky. If you request for a friend to join your study session directly through the app, it’s a hit or a miss. Sometimes they’ll get the invitation and sometimes they won’t..so that’s more time wasted (keep in mind the timer has already started) 3) The only reliable way to make sure your friends get the notification to join the study session is to text them a password/key to join the session. Now they have to wait for the text, get the password/key, type it into the app (you can’t copy-and-paste), and you’re friends are finally joined...oh and the timer has already finished a few minutes...why can’t there just be a link that friends can click on and automatically join the study session?

So close…just missing a good to-do list. I’m not sure if I’m missing something, but I would love if the to-do list can double as a task scheduler as well. I don’t set reminders for my tasks since I am constantly checking my list and they’re not time-sensitive. So I can’t see what day I set the task to be unless I click on it. This leaves the list to be more like a running list rather than a day-by-day to-do list. It would be an easy fix if the colors were repeatable (for ex: all my Sun tasks are blue, all Mon tasks are pink, etc.). Or even better, add in a week/month calendar above the tasks so you can click on each date and it pulls up tasks for that specific date underneath. Then the app would be perfect 5/5!!

Getting homework done and helping the plant!!. I have a really hard time staying focus and this app is so good at keeping me off of my phone. The map keeps me curious and seeing a dead tree on my story makes me so dumbed! Once I payed the ONLY $2 to plant REAL trees it was a game changer! As a college student it is hard to find time or have the funds to make a difference like planting REAL trees and now just by focusing on my homework I am doing both! I home checking my progress and I can’t wait until I get to see the number of trees I have helped plant! I highly recommend this app if you struggle to focus and have a little environmentalist inside of you dying to help the world!!

WHAT seed icon? There IS no seed, only a seedling. UPDATE: To the developer regarding your response: You never responded to my point. Do you, or don’t you understand the difference between a seed and a seedling? I’d think if you were developing and marketing a product you’d at least make sure you were using the correct terms. PS, No, I won’t contact you. Why would I add an additional task to my ever-growing to-do list? I was looking and looking and looking for a seed and getting REALLY frustrated. After going thru the tutorial a couple of times I realized the SEEDLING icon is supposed to be the “seed.” Seriously? Developers don’t know the difference between a seed and one that has germinated and is now a seedling? From the reviews, it appears you can’t do anything else on your phone after you’ve started your task or you’ll kill the tree. What happens when you have an incoming call or text message? Or the alarm goes off and I have to tap something to stop it?

The sweetest app out there!. I’ve been an avid user of Flora for years now, and wholeheartedly can say that Flora got me through college. I have tried every variation out there for productivity/focus timers, and none quite matches for me as well as this app. I’ve introduced many of my friends to Flora and appreciate their mission and easy-to-use set up so much, and love the simplicity. A few things: - It’s a bummer to see my garden die, but there are in fact seasons to my productivity. Could there be like a “garden” photo album accessible within the app to show past seasons of productivity? - More places to explore would be wonderful, and a sentence or two about the thing you’re “growing” would be rad after it completes growing. - I think the 50 minute chunks are not accessible for me without another visual stimuli prompting (though the little quotes when plants are growing are wonderful)! The max i can do is 25, then take a break, then again 25. Neurodivergence and “longer” periods of time don’t work great together. Thank you guys!

Love the app but lots of bugs. Hello! I’ve used this app for over a year now and it’s really helped me get more motivated and productive. However, I’ve noticed that the app seems to bug a lot for me from plants disappearing to my friends disappearing to my stories not loading. There is even a bug I’ve experienced multiple times now where a tree will finish growing but I will never get it in my garden. Then for several consecutive attempts at growing more trees they will grow immediately and show up in my garden. I’ve noticed that most of these bugs occur at the beginning of a new week and usually fix themselves as the week continues and most of the effects are not permanent (like trees don’t disappear permanently for the most part) but they’re still extremely frustrating to deal with. I hope there will be fixes for them soon!

Facebook only??. I thought the app had an interesting concept and a beautiful layout from the pictures so I was willing to try it to help with my focus and concentration. It’s really surprising to see there is only one login method: Facebook. I feel that in itself is a really poor design seeing how there are people such as myself who are not on Facebook and neither do I wish to even create a dummy account. You would think there would at least be a way to sign up using your email and a password at the least. That should even be the standard. But I’m pretty shocked and disappointed that this app is for Facebook users only. I don’t think I’ve ever run into this problem with any apps I’ve used throughout the years. They are apparently working to include other login options but I can’t say I’m just going to sit around and wait for that. Surely there’s another app that’ll provide what I’m looking for.

Flora 🌹🌳. It is a wonderful app that really works, i just recently downloaded it after a friend recommended it to me, and it has already helped so much. Weather you need to focus on something or you just need to take a break from using your phone this is the app for you , you can unlock different plants and each them grow as time goes by. If I was to change anything it would be more stages of plant growth, or maybe after you complete your first session a tree gets planted for free. but that’s it; and that’s after thinking for a while what could possibly be changed about this app. Overall this is an amazing app , and I would sooooo recommend it to friends.

Good stuff. I really really like Flora as a way to set my phone aside and get stuff done! Aside from some crashing issues that have since been resolved, I haven’t had any problems. It’s simple - you plant a seed, adjust how much time it will take to “grow,” and then you’re obligated to stay within the app in order to keep your plantling alive! It’s a great idea, and sooner or later I’m going to get around to digging into the other options it has (I’m really in need of one that lets me set goals of different types, because I’m trying to keep up a couple different habits at once - will see if that’s an option here). Anyway, give it a try if you’re looking for a cute way to turn your phone (and all its distractions) into a brick for a while!

Amazing cause and helps me get work done. I have tried other apps before that try to get you to concentrate by putting on a timer for you, but none of them worked. However, because flora allows you to plant a tree by simply using the app and getting work done, I am able to genuinely put my phone aside and concentrate. Having the incentive of planting trees really motivates me because it is more than just an app. By using the app and concentrating on work, I’m able to make a difference and help flora plant some trees. You do have to pay a couple dollars though, but I only had to pay $2 (1 tree planted every 120 hours for a whole year). I love it so much. Would recommend 👍🏼

Love! But.... This is one of my favorite apps. It has helped me so much in completing tasks, this method works great for me. I love growing the trees, and I love unlocking new ones when I successfully complete tasks! The only thing that I don't like is that you have to pay to grow a *real* tree along with your digital tree. I wish that it was an automatic thing instead of a paid feature because that would encourage me so much more to complete a task. The paid option that I actually do like is the option to essentially bet on whether or not you will finish the task (if you finish it, the money you put up you keep, but if you don't finish the task and kill the tree, you pay the app whatever amount you put up).

Beautiful app. I’ve been using this app for a couple of months now. When an update changed the interface a few months back, it first lagged a bit (it wouldn’t clock in all the hours I’ve spent planting in the total score), so I didn’t use it for some time (even though I never got rid of it). The latest updates are a game changer! Not only is the app running smoothly, but the whole Grand Tour and all the different plants you get are really helping me want to plant and be more and more productive! The fact that I’ve never bothered to write a review for any app I’ve used and loved up until now, should be compliment enough. Thank you and please keep up the great work! 🪴🌷🌲🌳🥑

Highly recommend. Love this! The app had helped me through burnout, I feel that now I have a better system in place taking advantage of the pomodoro technique! I also love that I am helping myself while helping the environment, for me it’s a really good motivator. I have the premium version bc I knew it would be most motivating for me. Every 8 hours that I study, a real tree is planted. Also, the widgets on my Home Screen is so cute and it’s a constant reminder to keep building my forest. Overall I really love the game like concept and that I can unlock different places to travel and see different flowers and trees on my widgets as I continue studying.

It’s great, but…. I mean, it’s a wonderful app and the first o make me this focused while studying and cutting off distractions. The trees sprinting up really so motivate me as well. I guess the only thing is, I wish there was a button that I could press that says “finished studying” or the sort so that I can keep my tree. For example, I put the time for 50 minutes. But I ended up getting everything done in 45 mins and need to go on my phone for another app. Apart from pausing, you cannot do anything else and will end up losing the trees, even though I studied for those 45. I don’t know if there is a solution to that, but it would change my rating easily to a 5 because that’s the only blemish(apart from some glitches as well).

Definitely Useful! Buuut…. it would be great to see something like a Chrome extension or a version of the app for web browsers. There are definitely times when I need a little help staying off my phone, but much more often I find myself *clicking* off task when I need to be doing something on another site. There is another app (which, out of respect of Flora’s devs, will remain unnamed) which already has this feature and it does function but I would love to link my focus time on the computer with my time in Flora. I think this app is GREAT (hence the five stars) so don’t take this as a negative review. It’s just a request that I think will make this app better than it already is ☺️

I’ve been using it for a long time and it works very well!. I’ve been using this app since I was in 9th grade, i’m a junior now. I’ve worked very hard to collect different plants from different countries. I love the graphics and the Pomodoro method employed and used in this app. I only took one star off because I tried to log in today and it asked me to sign in again, which I did through my facebook, but it told me that my email was already being used. I logged in with my email just to investigate, and found out that it was an entirely new account, with all of my progress lost. Is there a way to fix this? This app has been a necessity for both my phone and school device and I’d hate to lose all of my three year progress. Please help.

My life is restored. In the beginning of this year, I was super productive. Had straight A’s in rigorous courses, ran after school, did chores, had a side hustle, talked to friends, and went to bed by 9pm. That soon fell off when I had a burn out, leading to procrastination, anxiety, and extreme guilt. This app was discovered during times of desperation, and although this is only my second day of using it, I know I will be using it for a long time. It is so engaging and motivating. I love the aspect of accountability this app gives through the ability to add friends. I love the eco-friendliness of this app. I love the cute/wholesome little game users get to play with their imaginary (or not) trees. Everyone that wants to become a better person should download Flora.

Love this app. I have struggled with adhd for the past few years. I was looking for an app that would help me focus and stop using my phone when it isnt neccesary. I found flora and i was so happy with all of the features. I have not experiencenced any glitches so far and i love that you can grow plants with freinds and family. My favorite part of the program is the part where you can grow your own real life tree to help the planet. Flora has helped me witb many things and my screen time rate has gone significantly down. Definitely Reccomend! I have not experienced any privacy issues and you can only contact people you personally approve.

Very little rational application. I have used this app for over 100 hours, yet, with regard to the completion of my hours, I have only been granted 64. Many times have I accidentally hit the home button of my phone without knowledge and, much to my own chagrin, my hours have been delegitimized and rendered dissolute. I hate the fact of me putting in 2.5 hours and getting no credit for reasons of my tree dying by accidental occurrences. I think the app is half decent with regard to it's intent, however, I would not go so far as to say it is efficient in application or practical as a way to focus and track one's particular focus. Also, I feel that the reward system is flawed beyond reason... you get a badge for hours so far removed in likeness that it takes forever to reach some badges.

AWESOME!. The reason why this app is awesome is because it actually helps you, scientifically if you understand why. The use of it is simple. When studying you can’t just sit for hours upon hours and retain the knowledge. Our brain naturally stops focusing around 25 minutes. If we take a step away from our work for as little as 5-10 ten minutes to tidy up, talk a walk, go on social media, or play games etc... and go back to study our brain is refreshed and ready at peak effectiveness. The incentive and the little Forrest you develop is really cute and gives you more reason to stay on the app while doing your work. Also the fact you can donate money by your hours of focus is also an incentive to work hard so you can give back to the world! Love it!

Great Alternative to Forest. I was looking for alternatives to Forest when I stumbled upon this app. I have no idea why it took me so long to follow it because they were once tied together! I’m having lots of fun using the app while writing, and I’ve loved discovering what flora I’ve grown at the end of my sessions. I plan on buying more “tours” (packs of flora to grow—there’s only one besides the free one at the moment) when I’ve got the coinage to spare. I did knock off a star because the only way to log in is through Facebook. I began using Facebook when I was a child, and I’m in just a tad too deep to extricate myself, at least for now. All those groups! I figured whatever data Facebook could collect from me using this app, they probably already have, unfortunately. Nevertheless, the devs say they’re working on alternative ways to log in. If you download the app, open, and scroll down, you can see they have a spot to give them your email address so they can give you a heads-up when that’s ready. I highly recommend doing that if you’re worried about Facebook mining your data (who isn’t?).

Best app for studying. I’m sure everyone uses the app for different reasons. But for me I love the progression that makes it feel like a game. However, once I reached the max level it kind of seems pointless because there are no more trees to unlock. Could you make a reset button where we can reset out progress? Or if it’s easier, could you make a button where instead of choosing the tree we want it will randomly choose for us? I like to immediately click start again when I’m focused and sometimes I have 8 tomatoes and nothing else in my farm. Having the random button would help. Although, this is just a suggestion and the app is great regardless. Ill just be creating a new account instead since I can reset my progression that way.

Mixed review for ADHD. Flora certainly won’t solve all your concentration issues, but I find it a helpful tool to have on my phone. You can set a timer for concentration time and another one for when it’s time to get back to work. The app performs exactly as its meant to and is very attractive. My only issue is with the world tour. As you progress the time needed to unlock plants increases. What works best for my ADHD is 25 minutes of concentration and then a 5 minute break, but if I want to progress, I must set my timer for 50+ minutes. I could take a break after 25 minutes, but this seems a little silly to have to do each time, particularly given the purpose of Flora. Overall Flora does what it says and is charming, but is perhaps better suited to those looking to increase the length of their concentration periods.

Problem with logging in + UPDATE. I had this app before with my best friend and I absolutely loved it. So I recently redownloaded it and I'm trying to log back onto my previous account, but it keeps giving the same pop up "This account is already logged into another device, click continue to log it out and sign onto this device" (along those lines). And every time I click continue, it pops up "Oops something went wrong". However I don't have any other devices with this app. So I don't know why it keeps doing that. I'd love to keep using this app but I'm having some issues :( Update: I received help from the flora team and can now use my account again! Thank you so much 💗

Perfect For Anyone With ADD or ADHD. If you’re like me and have ADD or ADHD, you’ve probably experienced scrolling paralysis before. You know, that thing where your brain goes “Free dopamine! Don’t mind if I do!” And then you end up getting absolutely nothing done but have learned an excessive amount about cat videos and run on sentences like this one? I know. Me too. That’s where flora comes in! Because somehow, as one YouTuber put it, “The idea of killing a virtual tree is far too big of a moral atrocity to commit.” Or something along those lines. Once you’ve finished the tour, I love picking out which trees I want to grow and they are then henceforth, compiled into a beautiful, lush, garden of focus. Now isn’t that a lovely thought?

in love with this app!!. hi!! I’m a teen who has a hard time studying and procrastinates A LOT because of how much time I spend doing nothing on my phone. I’ve had this app for a couple of months and it has helped me tremendously!! It keeps me off my phone and it makes me feel proud when I see my little collection of trees from staying off my phone. Even things like folding clothes and going to do dishes I procrastinate and by putting a timer on this app it helps me stay off of it and complete my tasks. I would recommend this app to anyone who has a hard time staying off their phone and who can’t study or do homework without being glued to their phone every 5 minutes!!

Requires group play but doesn’t help you find this group. Its alright. I like that it helps to keep me focused and that it is visually beautiful appealing. Making it a game makes it easier for me to stay focus. However, it’s annoying that you have to do some study tasks in a room with other people, but the app offers no way of finding other people who use this app, or at least making rooms that we could join with other people to make it past some check points in the grand tour. I think if they added something that would allow us to have more interactions with other users this would be incredibly helpful. I would be interested in working in a study session with other people across the globe, who may not necessarily be studying the same thing as me

Adorable, Positive, and Effective. I’ve had a few apps like Flora, and it is a godsend for my ADHD. I’m in my 3rd year of college and a lot of the time, what I really need is a reason to get started on a project. Setting a time goal for focusing is amazing but Flora works better for me than just setting a timer since I have to stay in the app the whole time to keep the plant growing. I don’t feel like my phone is on lockdown or anything (which would stress me out) it’s just a cute little incentive to keep going until the time’s up. And, if it’s a really distracted day, you can set it to charge you for not finishing your focus time... so that’s quite motivating 😂. 10/10 would recommend.

Good study and focus app. This app is very good because of the adorable plants you get to grow, and you get to unlock new plants and worlds. You can add notes, breaks, even put money on the line if you want to (to make sure you stay off your phone and get what you need done). I do wish it had a repeat button to do a task for the same amount of time, and I also kinda wish there was a one time payment or something for the people that may want the better version for a short period of time. I would definitely recommend this app if you’re looking to keep and set goals, focus, or just grow cute plants and go on adventures😂

Seeing my progress is priceless. I don’t usually write reviews, but there’s one feature of this app that makes it a cut above the other apps in this category. The app has the option to take photos of milestones in your work and keeps a log of those photos along with the time it took to complete them. That information is so useful to me as a person who really struggles with time management. It makes it simple and easy to get a sense for how much time you’re spending at different tasks. It’s also really rewarding to look at past work if you’re an artist/designer like I am. I can see how much I’ve accomplished and how my style has improved. I highly recommend.

Love this app, but I have a few suggestions!. I’ve only been using this app for a short time, but I love it! It’s very useful for me with online school because I tend to get distracted and have to work until 5-6 in the evening when I could’ve been done by 3. My main suggestion is a way to add time. I always put in how much time I think my work will take, but I tend to undershoot it by anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes. If there was an option to add time so you don’t have to stop working and make a new timer, it would be amazing. Also, the daily summary doesn’t work for me. Even on days where I use the app for 2 hours, it says I haven’t done anything that day. The time is counted in the app, but not in the summary notification. Other than those two things, I love this app, the graphics, and the simplicity of the interface!

Timer and alarm would improve this app. A timer that shows up in the locked screen with how many minutes are left should definitely be a part of the app. Is annoying to have to unlock my phone and go to the app to check how long I have been focusing or have left. An alarm should also sound once you have completed the focus session. Is happened to me countless of times that I intend to focus for lets say 40 minutes and then end up studying for an hour or more because I wasnt alerted that my sessions had ended. While is important to focus, breaks are much needed so you dont overwork yourself. Plus we could had gotten more flora with the minutes that were unaccounted for. The reward of seeing what type of seed sprouted is the fun part of the app. So if it was more interactive or the rewards were more interesting then it will encourage users to do more sessions. The idea is fun, but small changes could greatly improve it as well.

Aweosme app. Just recently got this app and it has really improved my focus! I love the idea of growing real trees as well. The reason I’m giving it four stars is because there are some glitches. I’ve been tagging all of my “stories” with a certain “to do” but under my stats, I am still getting some time that is unaccounted for. It would also be nice to be able to see the total hours we have put in for the day instead of just for the week. (Instead of having to add it up from the stats circle) I also wish that there was a way to organize the to do list instead of it just randomly being placed. Would still recommend this app, though, improves, productivity, and I also love the fact that you can “study” with friends!

I never write reviews but…. I am very grateful for this app, as being part of the new generation we are CONSTANTLY bombarded by distractions, notifications, or simply procrastination that can turn into 2 hrs on a social media platform… The flora app has really helped me focus and not get distracted by other apps. It has allowed me to stay on top of assignments/projects… and it is motivating… I love how this app is set up, as I have tried some other focus apps and I found myself deleting them… it’s simple and fun to use. I enjoy opening up this app to help me focus.. when before I would dread starting some of my assignments. I would recommend!!

It’s good. I like the idea, and it works well for what it is. It has helped me control my impulse to use my phone. One time I left the app without even thinking about it and then freaked out and reopened the app. Luckily because I hadn’t entered another app, my tree survived :) The reason I took off a star is the in-app purchases. I thought I would be able to plant real trees without paying, but I was wrong. That isn’t a big problem, but I wish I could help while still being a starving student. I also do not want to participate in the paying section that involves putting money on your ability to stay off your phone. Overall I use the free parts and like it. The tags are cool because I can see what I’ve worked on. I think I’ll be using the app in class too because I have a bad habit of checking my email instead of paying attention.

I love this app!. Once I figured out how to switch the seeds (click on the seed and you can pick what you plant, swipe right for a new location you unlocked), I became a wee bit addicted to making a nice looking garden. I was eternally stuck with roses for a week before I looked up how to switch the seeds. I would recommend switching the tutorial. It’s not really user friendly and I didn’t learn how to use the app. (I just swiped right and didn’t pay attention to it after I realized it was just slides of images.) I learned more about it after the tutorial. I think an interactive tutorial would be better or even a small video. But it didn’t prevent me from enjoying the app. I still don’t know the purpose of the to do list. Is there anyway to make some items recurring?

ADHD life saver. Like most people in today’s technological age, neurotypical or otherwise, I have a Dreadful screen addiction, and my ADHD only makes it easier to be sucked into the vortex of social media and screen time. There are times I pick up my phone to check the time, a notification summons me to Instagram or another whirlpool and all of a sudden it’s been three hours and I’ve done nothing but scroll even though I’m screaming at myself internally to do literally anything else! Flora prevents that. I can set a timer for however long I want to be screen-free and the growth of my little fake plant is enough it a dopamine got to obey the countdown. Very very good for studying.

Great for Productivity. Before this I had no way of tracking the time J spent studying or actually staying off my phone. It wasn't until it was taking me entire days to complete assignments that I noticed a problem. I got the app, and my productivity and efficient blew through the roof. I’m loving being able to go back and check how much time I actually spent studying as well. It gives sort of a boost in my confidence, and also my motivation to do more. Love how there’s no requirement to spend money too, but I definitely plan on doing it down the road, to help not only me motivate myself. But also to support those struggling communities in nations around the world. Love what you’re doing Flora!👏🏾🤞🏾

this app istg. this is the most god tier studying app/habit tracker that i’ve ever used. keep in mind i’ve only used one habit tracker before but IM STILL SUPER IMPRESSED WITH THIS! the collaboration feature is incredible. i love the little garden where you can see your past plants n stuff. however i do have one suggestion: instead of having an hour minimum for a goal, i wish you could have like “five minutes a day.” additionally, i wish you could have a checklist. this would feed more into the habit tracker side of it. sometimes i wanna track something that doesn’t take up a significant amount of time, less than five minutes. that’s all the criticism i have. this app is incredible. <3

Great for Focus, Confusing Layout. Flora does exactly what you expect it to do. You set a focus goal, pledge (optional) money that you will donate to plant a tree if you fail and begin to use your phone, and keeps you accountable. It helps me SO much, and even if I get off track I at least feel good knowing a good deed is being done in that case. However there a lot of other features that just seem thrown together and are a bit confusing or weird in terms of layout. Like the to-do list, or when you’re mid-focus it says “what’s next?” And you can type in your next task, but I’m not sure what thats used for either? Its all very useful, but other than the focus timer sometimes I’m like, what are these other tools even for?

If you want to concentrate YOU MUST GET THIS APP!. This app is the best if you want to concentrate on homework, work, or you just want to get a break from your devise. With hard times right now like distance learning and working from home, it can be challenging to stay focused. But this app really helps. How it works is you plant a seed and set a timer for however long you want to focus. If you leave the app to do something else on your phone, your tree will start dying. So it forces you to stay in the app. If you don’t care about trees dying, this app is not for you. Also, you can pay so that whenever you want to focus on something and you set a timer on the app, it will plant a real tree! Now I think this app is the best! YOU MUST GET THIS APP!!!!!

Almost perfect…. I love this app when I remember to use it and I have the willpower to start it on my own. I don’t even have to use the pay feature because I feel awful enough if I let a fake tree die. There’s one thing keeping it from being perfect though and that’s the ability to schedule focus times. I need something that’s going to automatically stop me from doing whatever it is on my phone and make me focus on being productive. This will send you reminders up the wazoo but I still have to physically start it, and I’m just not that strong of a person. I need to be able to schedule it to automatically cut me off at a certain time everyday where I have no choice but to do something productive or the fake tree gets it, because I’d never let that happen.

Real tree planting and timing needs improvement. Planting a tree if you kill the tree in app doesn’t make sense, because the more trees planted means more people killing their trees in-game. I think the flora care plan is better or more effective for planting real trees because you plant a real tree only if you succeed. It is a better incentive because you are rewarded for your focus and the more time you focus using the app the more trees are planted encouraging you to keep growing the tree in game. Also, the timings on the front page don’t make a lot of sense, 25 minutes should be half an hour 50 minutes should be one hour etc. Please allow us to set the time for focusing to a longer time, up to 24 hours because I like to run it while I’m at school since I can’t have my phone out at school and I have to reset it after three hours

Great focus app, but one major bug. I made sure to update to the latest version but this is a persistent problem that hasn’t been fixed yet. Whenever I look at my gardens for each past week, they don’t show up correctly. I’ve been using this consistently for about for 4 weeks, but if I go to my past weeks there is a major glitch where only 1 week displays a garden at all, for all of the other weeks I was using it, my garden is completely empty and it says i was focused for 0h and 0min even though I know for a fact that I used the app and grew all sorts of plants during those weeks. It’s only for my own profile too. when I go to a friend’s profile and swipe to see their past weeks’ focus times and gardens, it updates accurately for them and i can see all the different plants they planted per week. It’s a major bug that makes me really sad because I love all the other concepts and the interface of this app, but i can’t even see the plants I’m working for or the amount of focus time i’ve accrued. I really hope they fix this in their next update because its the only issue I have with the app. let me see my past progress!!

Could use a few aesthetic upgrades, otherwise pretty great. I've really enjoyed using this app so far, the payment challenge is a very motivating feature, and unlocking the different options pants is fun. My only suggestion is that they could add some different animations for each plant, it's a little disappointing when i check the timer to see the same green sprout every time. It would be cool to have stages for each plant type, where it matures more the longer you focus. For example, you may only get to an oak sapling if you do a ten minute session, but a two hour study session would give you a more old growth tree type thing. That feature could be added for every plant type, so growing a rose would display an actual red flower on the screen.

SO disappointed. I had been using this app faithfully and liked it more than the similar app that you have to pay for. Recently, I woke up to a dead tree and notifications that made no sense whatsoever. I had one notification from 3 hours prior saying my tree had grown successfully (no such tree ever showed on my feed). Then I had a notification from 2 hours and 40 minutes after that saying to go check on my tree. I never planted another tree. There was no tree to check on. But apparently I killed this make believe tree and that is all that shows on my feed for that day instead of the tree that I actually grew. I can't even delete the dead tree that I didn't kill. There is no customer service whatsoever so there's not even any point in "leaving feedback" in the app. They have only ever responded once despite multiple issues and have never done anything to fix any of said issues. Haven't used the app since.

Simplistic and Motivating. I love how this app manages to integrate nature into motivating a person to focus. Flora is smart in that it rewards the person using it with a place marking reward to help commemorate an achievement. It makes me feel like doing my American Politics work is actually worthwhile, and I would say that is a feat. I also appreciate how this app gives you the chance to actually pay to make a difference in your world. I don’t like the insistence for me to pay, but I appreciate the sentiment. I haven’t used this app for a long time, but as far as habit forming goes, I’m building on what I have, and that is special. Highly recommend if you want an invisible force driving you to get something done.

Fun Approach to Productivity - ADHD Tool. This is a great way to take your attention away from those distracting apps and onto the task at hand. I have only used it for a day, but I can tell that Flora definitely has the potential to help me power through my next chunk of college reading. I already killed a tree, though.☹︎ For my ADHD self, intrusive thoughts can pop up and steal my attention in an instant, causing me to close the app and start up a pointless video without even realizing it, before I can even process the fact that my tree wasn’t done growing. At the very least, this app will help me to become more aware of those impulses. The tree is a small but helpful barrier that slows down the thoughtless phone-grabbing process just enough to analyze my decision a little bit more before making it.

Super helpful. This app is incredibly helpful. I love the appearance and the design of the plants and the screen while you’re growing the plants. It honestly helped me focus with my work and gave me a sense of accomplishment after every session. It hasn’t charged me with anything and I haven’t gotten any type of ads which is great. The only downside to this is that it does require the screen to be on while you’re in a sessions and it stops if you lock your phone. I turn down the screen light and put my phone on do not disturb so it’s fine. Like I mentioned before it’s cute and aesthetically pleasing to see the screen while you’re in a session and you watch the plant grow.

It’s a good focusing app. You can “grow” trees while focusing and if you leave the app while you’re trying to focus, your tree dies. You can bet real money if you want to, and if you stay focused, you aren’t charged, but if you don’t stay focused, you are charged. I haven’t used this system personally but I see the appeal of having real stakes. Also the money goes to growing real trees so it’s not like you’re just giving it to someone whose getting rich off of your money. Overall I’d rate it 5 stars. Only thing I’d like to see improved: sometimes after I’m all done I quit the app, and it takes a while to boot up again later because it’s trying to restore where I was last time
