How to use. Not sure how to use to make sure it’s working

READ BEFORE PURCHASING. This was pretty good....while it was still getting updates. Now I’m currently on iOS 12.4 and it says I’m running iOS 11.2.1 and the current version is 12.3.1 which none of that is true. Second there is multiple words in a different language even when set to English. So it doesn’t really work so don’t buy it.

Meh. Basically it is good all until it tells you it is unsafe. Like on the 3rd one it says ganz schlecht like what the heck does it mean😡😠

Stuck in database update. This app used to work. Currently if is spinning its wheels saying database update. For 12 hours straight.

The most comprehensive security app. I have only been using the app for approximately 6 hours and already found one security problem, that was quickly and easily solved. This mobile security app throughly checks multiple sources and sends instant messages to your home screen. It takes just a few minutes to set up and the prompts can be mildly confusing to navigate. Once you have explored the options, the information is very useful in providing sufficient layers of protection. Thanks for a very useful app!

Great. So far so good I thought my iPhone had been hacked, but the app says everything is good

Good 👍👍. Without knowing exactly what it actually does internally, it appears to do very well what it’s designed to do. The only thing I noticed is that some of the information on screen is in German even when English is selected.

App crashes. Just downloaded the app to my iPad mini. It crashes when I click on the ‘Security’ tab.

Minor Issue. This app is a great idea and promises to allow me to monitor all of my devices to ensure they are up-to-date. It works great for checking multiple iPhones and iPads to make sure they are all up to date and secure. The only issue I have with the app is on my 12.9 inch iPad Pro. I can view the security of the device but when I try to open the tab to add the iPad to the list of my devices, the app crashes.

Requirements too high. Requires you to sign up for Neptune Cloud. Another service that needs a user name/password. Not worth it for me. Deleted.

interesting app. all the information about your phone all in one spot. i would like to see the imei and msid. very helpful app.

Keeps iPhone secure. It’s nice to have an app to ensure that my information is safe.

Great. Awesome app but I did realize that there are a few spots that are still in German when set to English but overall, it’s good.

Gimmick. App is a gimmick. It tells me a new version of iOS is available not aware I’m using it. When I check security I’m the app, it says I’m on version 11.2.1 when actually I’m on 12.1. This is only one issue aside from the language issues and the limited reach of the apps ability to inspect. In fact, I am suspicious of this app and whether it’s protecting me or ...

Intrusion on app. To the developers and users of this app, just to raise awareness I was involved in an identity theft and Cyber Connectix crime. I did report incident with governmental authorities since we are potential or actual victims of cyber crime whether on IOS or IP, i reviewed this product to ensure the safety of my personal information and privacy from being exposed. In the attempt of sending an email unfortunately it prevented me from doing so, too also include noticing that the app has some discrepancies. The device name does not match up with the device itself, meaning upon utilizing the app I noticed in the device category device name stated iPhone8 even though I have an iPhone 6s; secondly I took a snapshot picture where the remote section part of the app as it was loading it showed 2 devices connected even though this is the only device I have that is only authorized to be utilized, so even though because of this intrusion it also notified me which gave me enough evidence to support my case. I also have other programs that I am using to better secure my phone but honestly anything can be bypassed. I hope this review helped anyone and including the developers to ensure their security system is updated without losing any sort of credibility on their product.

I love this App!. The dashboard is great, it checks hardware, software, storage and apps, while securing my device. Exactly what I need! I recommend this app to my colleagues and friends.

Beware! There’s no way to contact Neptune’s developer for support!. Before buying this app, click on the button on Neptune’s page here in the App Store to contact support/the app developer. You’ll see that Neptune doesn’t provide a legitimate app/company/developer website link, email address or even a social media account for customers to get in touch with the developer for questions or troubleshooting. I was able to track the developer down on Twitter when I had a question about Neptune after I purchased it. But he hadn’t tweeted in over a year so of course my question was never answered. Apps, especially ones customers have to pay for, should offer a point of contact for customers’ support needs. This app not only fails to do that, but it intentionally gives fake contact info on the app’s page in the App Store to confuse and deceive its customers.

Just bought but crashes on iPhone X. I tried to go to your support page but I get a security warning, therefore I am reporting the problem here in the review. Whenever I press on the “Security” icon at the bottom of the screen, the app displays the “Security” screen then immediately crashes.

Keeps crashing on security tab. Just downloaded this for extra piece of mind, but unfortunately when clicking on the security tab, the app crashes every single time.

Why does app crash when I click security?. I like the idea of this app and the only thing that doesn’t work for me is when I click the security link at the bottom the app always crashes. This worries me as maybe someone has jail broken my phone and is circumventing any program designed to check.

I cannot read alerts as it’s in German.. Hard to evaluate when alerts come on a different language I read.

App crashes all the time. This app is crashing on my iPhone 13 pro max all the time. I thought it might be because of the public beta OS. But it also cannot run on a normal 15.4 version. Updates: uninstall and reinstall the app can fix the issue. However, there are some non-English words displayed during system check with English language mode.

Excellent Security and Information Utility. Happy long-time user of Neptune Security and the developer is regularly updating for currency. In addition to a very detailed Device information tab, there’s an Orbit tab that shows all a summary of all the devices you have Neptune installed on. I did note a minor bug where it reports my firmware is out of date on an iPod Touch 7th Gen; I already have the latest iOS version (15.0.2) installed.

1 year without news. how could this app be at 13th place of paid security app since it didn’t receive any update in one year?!

Does not recognize the iPhone SE (2020). Excellent app but it does not recognize the iPhone SE (2020) and keeps asking to update to the latest iOS which is already 14.4. Most iPhone specs are unavailable for the same reason.

Needs improvements but works great. The only reason I’m giving it a 4 star is because there are some language errors that haven’t been fixed. Also the iOS version shows the wrong version installed. Other than that, the app works as advertised.

Good app. Issue on 12.0.1 update.. Seems good so far, until I updated 12.0.1, the security is saying I have 11.2.1 Beta version installed on my phone. A bit worried, I called Apple and they said software is up to date on there end...just wondering why it says Beta Version on my security. Hope to get a response. Thank you kindly.

Great Application If You’re a Jailbroken App Or File!. The application that is meant to warn us of such Apps or Files isn’t really looking for them. I think? I thought the same as many before me, “Great for keeping an eye on things, especially if you’re a paranoid person. I have used this app for awhile without any problems, but the last two months my phone has gone haywire, with the last two days it becoming unusable. I managed to locate a Jailbroken File on my phone via the Analytics luckily enough, but unfortunately Neptune Failed to pickup on this and, possibly more Files, Even Apps. Would give a 1 Star but it still a great app...

Not updated to run with iOS 12.x. I purchased this quite a few months ago. App works as described. Some language issues - as for it seems to default to German on certain pages - even though language default is English. Upgraded to iOS 12 and have constantly update my apps - but this app says that it sees iOS 11.2.x but then shows me on iOS 12.1 and then iOS 12. You need to update your core app to get these bugs ironed out - as for your app is gathering incorrect information - which leads to false positives -

Very pleased with this. I wasn’t sure about it, but I saw a video on YouTube explaining its use and decided to give it s whirl as my data usage had gone up dramatically. I had been having trouble with my Wi-Fi, but I wanted to be sure. This works very well and is easy to use. I am very grateful for it and highly recommend it.
