The Best Recipe App out there. I’ve been using this app on my phone, iPad and laptop browser for years now. I love this app and the service— it just works. Technically, it’s so easy to use. It plays nice with Chrome and the app and every website I’ve ever tried to import a recipe from. I love that I can go to any website and pull the recipe into the app with one click, from my phone or browser, and it works every time. Using the planner is easy too. I don’t really use the shopping list part because I have another system for groceries, but I’ve recently started trying it out too. I did subscribe for the membership service since it’s a very reasonable price and I love the service so much. This far and away beats the other websites and apps I’ve used to try to manage the myriad of recipes out there.

Phenomenal App!!. I can’t say enough about how much I love this app! It combines everything you could possibly want in a meal-planning/recipe-saving/grocery-shopping app. It is so user-friendly and easy to navigate. I prefer to use the desktop version to plan my meals because you can just drag and drop the recipes onto the days you want and move things around as needed. I prefer the app version for when I’m cooking in the kitchen because I can quickly search for the recipe I want and pull up the step-by-step instructions and ingredients RIGHT IN THE APP. Plan to Eat has turned a multi-app, multi-step, time-consuming process into a seamless, intuitive, enjoyable experience. Thanks to Plan to Eat, I actually look forward to sitting down and planning out my meals and placing my grocery order. I never thought I would say something like that!

Stepped up my game. I am a once a week grocery shopper, so meal planning is already something I do. This app has made my life so much easier. I can just look at the recipes I’ve added (mostly by simply importing from websites) and plan my weeks worth of dinners. My grocery list gets generated and it reduces my time a ton. Best part is if our plans change then I can just move the recipe to another day and I already know I’ve shopped for it. Now when my family asks what’s for dinner I say “It’s on the app.” I love that I just pull up the app on my iPad and have the recipe easily available to follow on my counter as I cook. Better yet when I’m not feeling my recipes, I can check out my friends recipes and add them to my file if I’d like to try them. I’ve been very happy and glad I tried this app!

The best app for meal and grocery shop assist. This app is a life changer. I can’t imagine not using it. Instead of just browsing recipes online and then never trying them, this app makes it so easy to save and then re-find that recipe that looked so good. And sharing is So Easy!!! I love how easy it makes the grocery list! Just plan the recipes and the list is automatically made and always with you! Menus are a brilliant idea and one I hope to maximize fully eventually. I’ve only made one two-week spread of menus. I used it for a bit before I got bored. I’d like to plan some seasonal two-week spreads as well as themed menus, like Thanksgiving or Sunday company. There is a bit of a user learning curve. I still haven’t really used the freezer part. But with persistence in use, I gradually use more and more and it really does make your life easier! Overall, this app is 5 stars!

Really fantastic companion to the website. I’ve been using Plan To Eat for a few years, and I love it. It’s so easy to save, find, and access recipes, prepare a menu, and make a shopping list. I’ve kept a PTE Safari shortcut on my phone for quick referencing of a recipe if necessary, other than that, the website didn’t do much on a mobile device. That was fine, I love the service and use my laptop in the kitchen anyway (we call it “Mom’s Cookbook.”) Enter the PTE app. Didn’t think this service could get any better. I was wrong. The app works just as well as the desktop version. I still prefer the desktop for the bulk of my recipe saving, meal planning, and shopping list-making, but having the app to quickly reference a recipe and even stick it wherever I want to into my menu plan has been so nice and helpful. Thanks, Plan To Eat, for a great service!

Makes life easier!. I’ve been using Plan to Eat for years now, and I absolutely love it! There’s so many cool features to use. I especially like “menus” - I can plan a certain amount of days and drag and drop it on my calendar repeatedly. I really like doing this for breakfasts, snacks and suppers during my kids’ competitive sports seasons so I don’t have to constantly be thinking what to make and what to have on hand, and remembering what crockpot recipes they especially like. The automatic grocery list is the best. And I use the search feature all the time to pull up recipes that use an ingredient I’ve found on a good sale. It’s also a family business, and they really do care and work to improve the app all the time.

I love Plan To Eat!. Everyone in the family has access to add to the grocery list when they run out of something. Anyone in the family can add a recipe to the queue, so we have ideas of what to plan for the next week. It’s easy to drag recipes from the queue to the weekly planner when using the website. I mostly use the app at the grocery store, to mark what I have picked up. I encourage friends and family to use Plan To Eat, so we could easily use each other’s recipes. I can access my recipes and grocery list from anywhere I have WiFi or data internet access. I have different lists for different stores, and I have my lists organized by category. There are features it has that I don’t use, but should be using, such as storing meals I have frozen, to add to the planner when needed. There is so much Plan to Eat can do for you! Plus, every year around Thanksgiving, they have a half off sale!

Love this app!!. This is the best app that I have ever used for grocery shopping. But it does so much more than that. It is great. I have uploaded so many recipes. It is so easy to import them. I can also organize them in any way that I want. You can customize tags and categories. Meal planning is also great and the ingredients go right into your shopping lists. Yes, I said lists. You can make a separate grocery list for each store you need to shop at. My very favorite part it that I can use the browser on my computer to make my shopping list and then pull it up on my phone when I’m shopping. My husband even has the app on his phone so he can add items himself or see if anything needs picked up on his way home. You will not regret trying this app out.

This is the app you are looking for!. I like to think of myself as an organized person, but finding systems that work to stay organized and ahead of meal planning is hard! This app takes the cake! I wasn’t sure if I would use some of the features, but I use and couldn’t live without them all now! There is some leg work on your part to get your recipes into the app, but copying and pasting from a photo, although tedious, is well worth the time (and brain power!) you will save in the long run! My grocery list makes itself!!! Our family of 5 eats plant based whole foods which in itself takes a ton of planning and prep work so I don’t think we could pull it off without this app! You can tell someone who actually meal plans, shops and cooks designs this- it’s so intuitive and doesn’t skimp on the small details!

The best. Part of me wishes someone would tell me what to make for dinner every day and give me a shopping list... but the truth is I want to choose from recipes I know I like. Plan to Eat makes it super easy to collect recipes and plan meals and menus. It’s very easy to modify the food plans when life plans change. I love that it puts my shopping list on my phone and can even separate the list by store. I love that my kids can pull up recipes and get dinner started before I get home. You can scale recipes up or down to accommodate different numbers of people. I’ve been using the website (before the app) for years and it keeps getting better. Any time I had questions they were answered person to person very quickly. The only thing that would make this better would be if they actually shopped and cooked and cleaned up for me.

Life-changing!. I know that seems overly-dramatic, but as a disorganized hoarder with fears of running out, I am LOVING how using this app calms my food-fear and reduces over-spending and waste. I signed up for a trial months ago, but didn’t use it until I started a raw detox diet 3 weeks ago and realized it was time to enter the recipes into PlanToEat so I could more easily continue using them more easily after the program is over. (I was motivated by a 2 1/2 page grocery list that had apples listed in 3 locations, one amongst canned items, another with spices, a third with cuckes and zuchs! I strongly suspected PlanToEat would do a better job of grouping “likes” together, and it surely does! —tho I need to enter the category first, as in “apples, green” and “apples” instead of “green apples” for it to be most effective, as the produce is grouped alphabetically when the shopping list is generated. After I signed up, I spent a few hours manually entering the first week’s recipes and menu, thus learning some of the software nuances at the same time. I have more to learn about using this powerhouse, but I’m already thrilled!

Best meal planning app. Love my freedom to plan how I choose. I’m an experienced full time working mom. Been doing this job for 22 years now and I have about 6 years left to go! Being that I work full time and have to be home manage/cool/chauffeur I have struggled over the years with meal planning. I can budget my meals well, and I do a lot of freezer cooking. However, fresh cooked meals are the best and I try to cook fresh meals as much as I can. Well, after many years of cooking for my family through the different stages of child growth, I ran into a dark time where I was sick and tired of cooking the same ole same ole. I would collect recipes but would lose them. I didn’t have a good, online app that was worth the cost and allowed me to design my own menus. I saw an ad for Plan to Eat in Facebook I think and they offered a free trial. Like FREE. They didn't want my card or bank account number beforehand. So totally risk free for three weeks I think. That’s what sold me in the trial. If I didn’t like it, I would simply walk away. No instant charges for failing to go back and cancelling my “free trial”. I love it! I can design my own menu using recipes I know my family likes. I can also easily add new recipes to try then easily delete them if they don’t pass. Extremely affordable! $30 a year, I think. No ads. No emails. I use their product and they do a great job of maintaining it! Thanks!

Reduces my mental load. I purchased this app on the recommendation of a friend and am glad I did. There was a small learning curve and the time spent initially uploading and formatting my favorite recipes. The effort is worth it. I have ventured out into trying new recipes. The meal planning and grocery list integrations means it takes so much less effort to plan and shop for the week. Now that I have my system down I can plan for the week in about 5 minutes which used to take me upwards of half an hour or more. The best thing is I don’t have to stress over what to do for dinner half way through the week. The amount of energy that took each day deciding what I was going to cook was a lot, something I didn’t realize until it was gone.

Game changing. This app has changed the way I meal plan AND grocery shop. As a working mom with a family to feed, I have all our frequent favorites imported. This means that when I’m in a pinch and I stop at the grocery store after work, I have my all go-to recipes at my finger tips. I reference it constantly! I love the shopping list feature, although it is slightly annoying that I’m inconsistent about certain ingredients (so, my shopping list might tell me I need to buy “EVOO,” “Olive Oil,” and “Oil.” -And the reality is that since it’s a pantry staple, I rarely need it at all - but it takes a few seconds to “tap” shopping items away that you know you don’t need). I love that I can add recipe photos, and I especially love how easy it is to import a recipe. If I see something online that I want to try, I’ll import it, plan it (so that it populates my shopping list), and we’ll try it. If it’s a keeper - great! If not, I just delete it and don’t think about it again.

Makes meal planning and grocery shopping for your favorite recipes. This makes meal planning and making a grocery list very easy. You can save your own favorite recipes with notes. Imports from a URL very well, and if needed, can copy and paste easily too. Got a free 30 day trial, and I pretty quickly decided the subscription would pay for itself in saving time and keeping my grocery list down to just what I need, which really helped out my budget. Bought the yearly subscription for 50% off Black Friday weekend. Incredibly useful app! Update 10/21: still using this app so much. It has become like my own cherished cookbook. Hoping for the Black Friday deal again to renew Update 6/22: still using frequently. Can’t beat finding a recipe online and being able to share it to the app, the app cuts through all the stories about grandma and apple pickin on these blogs and catches the recipe while saving a link back to the site. Seriously a great app! Will renew at Black Friday 50% this year like I always do 😀

I can learn new tricks!. I’m a grandmother who still has my old recipe card files and yet what do I now use? Plan to Eat! I’m very grateful for this efficient tool in my kitchen and when on the road!! It’s quick and easy to save and share recipes. And I now have my Plan to Eat recipe file tucked away in my phone! It goes where I go! We all get stuck in a rut with meal planning it seems, but this plan is changing that for us! We are trying new recipes and loving the variety! (I used to tear recipes out of my magazines and stick them in a file, never to see them again.) I also appreciate that I no longer have to hand write recipes and am finding it exciting to search for new recipes online and in magazines now that I can simply copy and paste them into my Plan. Plan to Eat is the best gift I’ve received in a long time!

The BEST meal planning app!!. I have used Plan To Eat for years, in spite of it not having a mobile app, because the functionality is just that good. Now that the app is available, mobile accessibility is top notch. It’s so easy to add recipes from websites even on my phone, to reschedule meals, to double check ingredients while I’m shopping, and access recipes while cooking. The app is smooth and intuitive. The pantry function means literally every ingredient I possess is accessible from my phone. As someone who cooks most of our meals myself, and who needs serious help managing all the menus and lists, nothing comes close to touching PTE’s comprehensive usefulness. I always recommend PTE to friends. To save on the subscription price, take advantage of the annual Black Friday deal—though I would pay full price without hesitation.

My favorite subscription. I had been looking for a free meal planning/grocery list tool since the service I had been using shut down. So when I found Plan To Eat I signed up for the free trial. PTE has been a great investment in saving on groceries and lowering stress when I get home from work. Both of us can see what’s planned, add to and see the grocery list, and search for recipes. It could take time to add all your recipes if you have them in paper cookbooks but I tend to find that if you search, most recipes are available on the internet somewhere. So all but 3-4 of my recipes, I used their receipt clipper to get them from a website. I love being able to click the link and go see the comments on how people had fiddled with the recipes, as well. Every year I renew during the Black Friday sale, but I think it’s worth full price. And now with the app, it’s perfect.

Makes my life easier. I’ve had this app for over 4 years and have recommended it to all my friends. I love that I can drag my recipes into each day of the week and it generates a shopping list. I go through the shopping list and anything I already have on hand I delete and then I take use the list at the store. If your using the list on the app on your phone ( or you can print it) once you check the box for the item it disappears ( the have a button to bring it back if you make a mistake) but it makes it simpler to see what you still need as the items you checked off disappear. The items can be arranged by categories produce, canned items, etc. I have mine organized in order as they appear in the store. You can also generate list for different stores. It does take a little time when you first start because you have to upload your recipes but it’s supper easy to do if they are online you just copy and paste and it generates them for you. If they are from a cookbook you have to type them in but honestly it’s worth it because you save so much time in the end. I I personally plan 1-3 weeks ahead of time and I never scramble to figure out what’s for dinner last minute. I first heard about this app from a moms group I was in and it’s helped me stay organized and save time and I’ve recommended it so many times.

Best Meal Planner Ever!. This is absolutely the most awesome software. I started doing meal plans for my family of 5 over 10 years ago. Back then, I did my menu by hand or in an excel spreadsheet. I tried subscribing to two different meal planning services that sent me menus each week to cook from. They were helpful, but as we were a vegetarian family I was frequently disappointed with the number of dairy and meat offerings. One service gave me a shopping list and I loved that feature. Plan to Eat has thought of everything! They make it easy to import recipes that I find online; I can add my favorites from cookbooks and or our tried-and-true family recipes. All of these can be easily scaled for the number of people I am cooking for. I just drop and drag the recipes into my meal planner. And it all translates into a digital shopping list I can check off as I go through the store. These people are brilliant! And their customer service is stellar. I have been thoroughly delighted with this app for over 5 years and it only keeps getting better. You will not be disappointed.

Purchased Before Trial Ended. I have been playing with recipe apps on and off for several years but not one has become part of my daily activities. PTE helps me to “shop” the internet for recipes, plan when I’ll prepare them, and then hit the store (or fish in the cabinet) for PRECISELY the amount of ingredients to make each recipe. This is important to me since I’m cooking for one. The grocery list continues to blow my mind, offering organization and customization that allow me to be efficient when I’m in the store. The emails that share features have been so helpful that I usually end up implementing the feature, right away. I really could go on, but I won’t. If you download and try this, you have nothing to lose except space on your device (and you can always get that back). I don’t think it gets much better than Plan To Eat.

Food and financial freedom. We love Plan to Eat. Being able to store our own recipes, copy others, and friend people who have recipe collections has been wonderful. In addition, the ability to just punch in a few items we have in our kitchen and have it search for recipes to know what I can use in my refrigerator or pantry without having to make an extra grocery run has been a lifesaver. By having an easy to use application, meal planning is easy and has saved us lots of money. We used to have nights where it seemed far easier to do take out or go out rather then fix a meal are now gone and save us a lot of money each year. Being able to access our shopping list on a phone or printed out has made it easy for myself or other family members to do the grocery shopping.

Meal Planners Dream!. I have been using Plan to Eat for years! It makes meal planning so easy to schedule recipes for specific meals. The first year I spent some time gathering my favorite recipes into my list, but it was so worth it. Now, if a friend sends me a recipe I immediately add it to my list. If I find a recipe that my family doesn’t like, I immediately remove it from My Recipes. I know that the recipes I have complied are delicious and manageable. When I go out of town, I have my recipes with me. Unlike Pinterest, the recipes don’t “disappear” because they are in this app. But I love having the link to the actual site in a recipe so I can share when friends ask. The shopping list is so helpful. I often order my groceries online, and I can easily move between my shopping list to the grocery website.

I love this App. Probably my favorite App and I have page after page of them! I love how PTE has thought of everything. I am obsessed with Pinterest as well as eating (healthy) and organizing! I find recipes on Pinterest add them to PTE which is incredibly easy. I use the tag button because we mostly follow a Keto lifestyle. From there I can then view all my choices. I look at my calendar for what my family has coming up for the week and add them accordingly to the PTE calendar. For example on busy week nights I add quick recipes or even add my own like salads. I can adjust the recipes amounts or delete or change ingredients like buns...I have a larger family so this also allows me to edit the serving size. I also love when I am looking at my shopping list that is on my phone and not on an old scrap of paper I left at home that each recipe has a letter and next to every ingredient is a small letter showing which recipe that ingredient is for. This App has helped me stay organized; we are eating healthy while I spend less money making extra trips to the store and I don’t feel that dread of “ what’s for dinner “

I love Plan to Eat!. I’ve been using this platform since 2016 and I always suggest it to friends. It is easy to use and makes a weekly meal plan actually happen. And I very much appreciate the Black Friday sale! If I could suggest changes, one would be some way to know that Olive oil and olive oil, etc are the same thing for the grocery list. Also, if I add metric units to the ingredients anywhere except the measurement column they are not affected when I double or triple a recipe. (I realize I could just list metric units from the start, but most American recipes do not use them.) Lastly, I wish there was a way to set up sub categories for course. For example: main course, fall. I really appreciate being able to send links to recipes and can easily revisit the original website if I need more information. I also really like being able to create my own tags.

Life is good with Plan to Eat. I have been using Plan to Eat for several years now. This site makes my planning, shopping and cooking so much more easier. If I’m at a store and want to know what ingredients I need for a recipe, I take my phone and find the recipe right there. If someone asks me if I’d share a recipe, I do it right then. I plan my meals on this site, but it’s also easy to switch meals around once they are on the calendar. Shopping is made easier by using the shopping portion. My husband always knows what he can help me with on a day because he just looks at the calendar and there is our day (he is retired, I am not). I can make notes on recipes, adjust ingredients, link to the site where I saved the recipe from for more information. All and all, Plan to Eat is a win-win and worth the cost for sure!

Love... Love... Love Plan To Eat!. I’ve been a subscriber for 3 years. I was hesitant to join at first because of the annual fee. I bit the bullet and have found it extremely worthy. If you want to be organized, efficient, budget minded, and health conscious while meal planning and grocery shopping it’s extremely beneficial. We are a family of five. I’m a stay-at-home mom. It’s decreased how much we spend eating out. Simply because I know what I’m going to cook, have what I’m going to cook, and am prepared to make what I’m going to cook. With the recent addition of the iPhone app it’s so much more helpful. I use my phone in the store... sticking to the organized list. It’s easy to use. The customer service I’ve received is top notch. They’ve always replied quick and friendly. You really feel their concern for your question or problem. I don’t leave reviews very often but when a company exceeds my expectations, I feel compelled to spread the word. Thank you Plan To Eat!!

Worth every Penny!. I have looked for a program like this for years. I can now do my meal plan and run out the door with a shopping list in 15 minutes if I can make quick decisions. The interface via app and online is awesome. Just click and drag your recipe to the calendar and your shopping list is made. You can also have a staples list for particular stores which is so handy (I just wish when you checked it off it didn’t delete it off the list- but I get around that by printing it). Highly highly recommend- I don’t have problems of it crashing like other grocery apps have and I love that I can easily save my recipes. The features are too many to list in the review (custom tagging of recipes, saves list of what’s in freezer, edit your recipe ingredients from A recipe you had imported)- check it out yourself, you’ll end up saving tons of $!

First meal planner that worked for me!. I’m a decent cook and reasonably organized, but have never managed to get into meal planning. I “only” have to plan for a family of three, but work a full time, stressful job and eat plant-based, whole foods. So many meal planners I tried were for huge families, or used cheap ingredients. I love this app because I can easily upload recipes we actually eat, and edit the shopping list from there. The list goes to my hubby’s phone, which he actually looks at while at the store (I’m not sure why but we/he really struggled with other list apps). Then I can refer back to the app when it’s time to cook. When it’s time to plan again, I can gently prompt him to look in the app for recipes that sound good, which takes some of the pressure off me. I can’t recommend this app enough. If you are on the fence, try it out. Your sanity will thank you!

Time saving brilliance!. I LOVE this app. It has completely changed my relationship with meal planning in a most beneficial way. Although you have to spend a little bit of time inputting your recipes, once that’s done I’ve found that I can meal plan for the week in under 10 minutes! It’s self-populating shopping list is easy to navigate. I love the fact that you can input recipes from blogs and, 9 times out of 10, it will cut out the dialogue and just capture the recipe. No more scrolling! You can also input recipes by hand, or make edits to the recipes as needed. I find this app extremely user-friendly, and was hooked on the free trial, but have been more than happy to pay for the yearly subscription as my time and sanity is worth way more than that. I am in my third year, and I still live and die by this app. Thank you Plan to Eat!

Great app; I use it every day!. I love Plan to Eat. I used it frequently when i first got it, and now almost every single time I cook since the mobile app has been available. I have another subscription based meal planner but even though that one gives me menus and pre-loaded recipes from some of my favorite bloggers, Plan to Eat is still my go-to. I love the import button, and before the latest OS upgrade, I loved that the sharing options included importing a webpage recipe to PTE. I would love to have 2 small improvements: 1. Take off the automatic capitalization at the start of the fields. When I’m entering a recipe manually, which admittedly is not often thanks to the import function, the ingredients list ends up like this: 1 Cup Onion, Chopped. Ugh! The capitals can be lowercased on a computer but not on my iPad. I suppose it’s not important to other people, but I find the over-capitalization very distracting. 2. Bring back the top and bottom view for the Start Cooking mode. I found that very practical. Now there are two columns side by side for the ingredients and instructions, but on my iPad at least, that means that the instructions column doesn’t load. That’s all, really. Two little things. Plan to Eat is great, and I hope to keep using it for a very long time. 👌💕

Have a plan when life gets in the way. Plan to eat has become a huge part of my life. I have a large family and work full time. I plan my weekday meals including sides on Saturday’s each week. Then get my shopping list from the app. Enter it in my grocery store app. Pick up my groceries on Sunday and am ready for the week. Those nights when I am stressed from the day and would usually end up spending too much on take out don’t happen often. It is comforting to know no matter what my day was like there is a plan for dinner and I know I have all the ingredients I need. We have a healthy dinner. No fast food take out to feel guilty about. Anytime I find a recipe I want to try I copy and paste it into the app. Sometime I even add it to next weeks menu so we we can try it. When we try new recipes I see how everyone likes it and rate it. I also enter any modifications I made. I love being able to access Plan to Eat from my phone, tablet, or computer. It is so convenient and has saved me so much money on groceries by having a planned menu. It keeps me from buying things that look good at the time but never get used.

The app I've been waiting for!. This is the app I needed to get all my recipes from all different sites on the internet organized in one place, categorized and tagged and searchable and easy to pull up and follow using my phone or iPad. Meal planning is simple and intuitive, and the automated shopping list is so easily customized, and even includes shopping staples that aren't from my recipes - like dog food and cleaning products and snacks for my kids. I'm able to create categories for the grocery store that match the actual aisles in my store, so I can shop my way through the site in an efficient way. I can put the list on my phone, and check off items as I pick them up. This is an extremely well-designed app that I will use daily. Thank you, PTE - worth every penny and then some!

Loving Plan to Eat. I’ve been using PTE for about 3 weeks now and am loving many of its features. Planning meals for my family of 5 is becoming more of a pleasure! I LOVE that PTE puts my grocery list together based on the meals and utilizing the shopping list at the store is super easy. I ran into an issue early on and my email questions were answered quickly by Riley and a problem solved eventually after several emails. Lots of pleasant and helpful interaction with Riley and the quickness of the help was much appreciated. My only issue with the app (resulting in 4 stars instead of 5) is that when you’re cooking with the app open, it times out and closes so you have to regularly open your iPad, phone, laptop to continue reading and cooking from the recipe. Paprika manages to keep the recipe open while you’re cooking and PTE REALLY needs to look into this feature. That is really the only aspect of PTE which is lacking. Other than that, I’m loving it!

Worth it even though I only use it on a desktop computer.. I have been a member 4 or 5 years. It is the only Black Friday sale I do, as the membership is 50% off then. Even when I don’t use it daily, I find it is still worth it. It’s like any other tool, I don’t use my wheelbarrow, or my snow boots daily, but I am sure glad I have them when I need them. I need this tool when my life gets overwhelming, I can anchor back in regular nutritious meals. I also use it to plan out things that are aging in my pantry. I use the meal planning as I don’t have a smart phone with data plan, so the feature of taking the shopping list with me to the store is not as useful, though I do print out the shopping list occasionally. In spite of using only a portion of the program, the program still has value. When I get tired off my own gluten free recipes, I can connect to others who have already tagged recipes as gluten free. This program really made my switch to gluten free so much easier. The other aspect of this program is it is stable, the people that created it continue to add features without losing the basic functioning of it like what happens to some programs. This program might be the one thing that convinces me to get a cell phone to fully use the shopping list feature.

Life Changing. Really, there aren’t even words to describe how wonderful this app is for someone who wants to cook for their family at home instead of eating out. It’s from front to back seamless. From browsing recipes on the web, uploading recipe, making notes about the recipe through tags (spring garden ingredients, thanksgiving recipe, etc), changing the serving size, ability to make notes about leftovers or who has a practice that won’t be eating, creating a shopping list and then literally having it delivered…wow! I have so much less food waste, and I always have every ingredient I need when I start cooking a meal. Avail phenomenal. Suggestion: I’m not tech savvy, but is there any way to communicate with other apps directly (Fitbit, my fitness pal, etc) to make nutrition tracking easier? I love that you guys calculate nutrition, and I would love for apps to work together (like peloton and Fitbit or Apple Watch). VERY happy customer.

Good...when it opens. I have a Plan-to-Eat subscription for several years, and I LOVE it! Truly the very best thing that has happened to my cooking/meal planning life! It would be impossible for me to overstate how much I appreciate and depend upon PTE in my day-to-day, week-to-week life as the family cook! The app is very nice except for two important things: 1) Sometimes it simply fails to open. There will just be a blank white screen. That is very frustrating. Thankfully I have it bookmarked in my browser, so I can work around it that way, but it is still a hassle. 2) In the app I lose the little letters indicating which recipe each item on the shopping list is for. So if I just want to dash into a store to pick up ingredients for one recipe, the app is of no use (once again I have to go in through my browser). The people behind PTE have always been very responsive and committed to improving the user experience, so I am sure they will work to resolve these issues.

Life changing. I never write reviews and I’m horrible at managing food preparation for my family. I was desperate for some help in the form of an app. I cannot describe how easy this app has made my life. You can effortlessly add any recipe from the web, you can then effortlessly add it to your calendar and then it adds all the ingredients to your shopping list. Not only that, I can make notes in the calendar for the days I don’t need a recipe, like if we’re eating out or my husband is going to cook. At the store it’s a quick tap to check something off the list. I cannot rave enough about this as someone who isn’t naturally inclined in the kitchen, it’s a total lifesaver and now everyone in the family thinks I’ve got this kitchen stuff down. Thank you!!!!

Success!. I am an avid budgeted (love you, YNAB), so after I watched a YNAB video introducing Plan to Eat to me, I decided to try it. I have gone from spending $500/month to $90/week on groceries (saving $140/month!) with this app. Pays for itself, quite literally. It’s allowed me to truly have one place to save and review recipes from different sights. The “shop” feature is great, too. I add recipes to the app as I come across them. A few days before I go to the store, I talk with my son about what we want to eat and I look at my schedule to see how much time I have yo cook on which days. I plan out our meals and my shopping list is automatically updated. Then I can delete what I already have on hand and add items that aren’t in recipes (cereal, coffee, toilet paper, lol) and I know I can stick to the list and not stress about what to make. This app is great, it really has helped this single mom do a better job managing my home. And I love saving money!! 🤑Thank you!!

Best app for a busy mom. I have used plan to eat for several years now. I load in a few new recipes each month using the website links, which is so quick and easy. It’s rare that it doesn’t come in correctly! Being able to just add meals to the calendar and then go to the shopping list and toggle between that and my Kroger app as I load my cart makes grocery shopping so much faster and easier. I never have to worry about not having an ingredient for a meal because it’s all put on the list for me. My over-stressed brain doesn’t have to think through each and every meal while I shop. Then I just pull up the app each morning to see what’s for dinner and see if I need to thaw anything out or remember to start a crockpot. I love that it saves all my meals. I can easily tweak recipes. I have made tags for when I want to follow a certain eating plan. I just love this app and site!!

Love Plan To Eat!. I came back to PTE after trying it several years ago because I saw they finally had a mobile app! The app has made it so much more practical for me to use on a regular basis. The subscription is well worth the price when I consider how much money in saving at the grocery store by not buying things we don’t need. I’ve given the app 4 stars for now because there are a few things I’d like to see added/fixed. One of my favorite features of the website is the freezer feature. I’ll often make double of something, and then freeze half for another week, and that feature makes it so easy to plan for that. I would love to have access to the freezer (and to freeze meals) from the mobile app, but for now I’m stuck doing it on my computer. My other issue is more minor, but I would also love to have access to the queue feature on the mobile app, so when I add a new recipe or think of something I want to make, I can add it to the queue and then remember to make it in the next week or two.

Best app EVER. This is the best app out there for organizing your recipes and populating a grocery list. I’m a mom of 5 kids and so menu planning, grocery shopping and getting meals on the table is a big part of my life. And it’s where i can get easily overwhelmed. This App seriously gets it all organized for me. No more stress! One of my favorite features is uploading recipes into your PTE account. It’s does it automatically kind of like Pinterest but better! Another favorite, is it automatically populated a grocery list. You’re able to customize it if anything needs to be changed. It’s so easy to use the app while I’m shopping and mark things off. I also love the cooking view. This gives step by step instructions to make the recipe. It’s been easy to get the kids involved and for my husband to use the app too. He can view the grocery list and use it to know what items we need.

Best app ever. I signed up on Plan to Eat over a year ago, but I’ve been using it faithfully for about five months now. As a mom of four in her first year of law school, this app saves my hectic life from absolutely imploding. I downloaded the bookmark to my laptop, so now, when I’m on Pinterest looking for recipes, it’s one mouse click and everything I like is automatically in Plan to Eat for Me. But wait, there’s more. The user interface is intuitive, and it’s easy to drag and drop to populate my meal planner for the week. This is also super helpful if I’m trying to eat Keto (for me) and plan regular meals for my kids at the same time. I can add notes to the planner if I plan on eating leftovers for a meal to remind myself what I’d planned without doubling the ingredients in the shopping list. I bookmarked the website on all my children’s devices, so they can log in when they get home from school to see what is planned for dinner and get the meal started with the recipe right in front of them. But the best part is the latest update. Before this update, I could only access the meal planner through the website, which added an unnecessary step to mealtime since I could never remember what I’d planned for a meal from one minute to the next. Now the app has a section where I can view the planner, choose the meal I planned, and go straight to the recipe. It’s everything I want in a meal planning app and worth every penny for the yearly subscription.

Love this App!!. I have been using PTE for years now. I started before they had the app and it was web based only. Worth every penny! Find a recipe you like online? Copy the web address and upload to PTE. That easy. Everything saves. Automatically make a grocery store list based on all the ingredients you need for the recipes in your calendar. Never find yourself short the ingredients you need for meals. Recipes are easy to edit and if you need to change the number of serving you can and the recipe adjusts. How cool is that! Easy to change the date a meal is scheduled if you want or delete it. Calendar has breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks categories as well as “plan notes” available for each category. I use this to fill in a meal that I don’t have or need a recipe for like “leftovers” or to remind myself of something in the recipe. Give it a try 💕🥰

Amazing app - has simplified my life!. I love this app! I’m always telling people they should use it. It’s been a game changer in my house. It’s so easy to import recipes from the web, to save them, and to tag them if that’s important to you (we have lots of allergies, so every recipe gets tagged to help us keep track of what’s safe and for whom). We also enter family or cookbook recipes - at least the ingredients - and make a not of what page the directions can be found and in which cookbook. That way all the ingredients are included in the shopping list. LOVE the shopping list feature. It’s so easy to mark off what you already have, and it’s great to be able to create different lists for different stores (e.g., for what we buy at Costco vs the grocery store). We use this app weekly - we make a meal plan over the weekend, then there’s no more of the painful “what do you want for dinner” conversation. Truly simplifies meal planning and grocery shopping. Seriously, try this app. It’s amazing!

Great app. The app is very practical and user friendly. Recipes import and display on screen very neatly, and the smooth transfer of meal ingredients to grocery lists is extremely helpful. Would be 5 stars if there was an option to create your own cuisines/tags. There’s no Keto tag—like, really?! At least give me that! 😅 Recipe organization is my number two need right behind grocery list planning for meals. I have way too many recipes to not have a means to effectively categorize them within the app. It’s really frustrating. Another inconvenience is that recipes aren’t very printer-friendly, but for me this issue is negligible since I don’t print very often. I basically have to use a different meal planning app for recipe storage, categorization and printing, but I have to import recipes to both apps sometimes since I prefer this app for its grocery shopping lists and the superior on-screen recipe layout and cleanliness. I paid for a year membership but I can’t say it’s worth renewing to pay for again next year when I have a different app (which only required a one-time purchase) that can do everything I need. Though this app is more aesthetically pleasing than the other, it’s not worth the cost when I can’t even organize my extensive recipe library.

Saves us tons of money and time!!!. We downloaded just about every menu planning app that sounded remotely good. All of them were huge disappointments. This one isn’t just not a disappointment, it delivers! We plan our meals for a week or month at a time. If we make changes to the recipes, it automatically updates our shopping list and the recipe. It will give you a customized recipe that it adjusts based on the number of servings you want to have. It allows us to adjust the servings, so if we have guests over (not during stay-at-home orders), we can account for that in both the shopping list and the customized weekly recipes. It allows us to save menus so we can reuse them. You can sort items by store and even by aisle if you set your categories to aisles. You can even save prices for items, so you know if you planned an expensive week. You can recipes and menus with your friends. It keeps track of what’s in your freezer, and tells you when to defrost it. The recipes have prep instructions. If you need to soak beans or pull something out of a freezer, you can set that to a day before (or any custom time) and the menu plan will remind you. There are so many more ways to use this app and so many more features. It’s just fantastic!!

I use it all the time. Ever have a dozen or so recipes in open windows on your computer or phone because you’re going to eventually get around to writing them down or saving them some other way, which never seems to actually happen? With this program, you can easily save those recipes in your personal recipe file with a couple of clicks, then schedule your weekly meals AND create a shopping list from that schedule. The shopping list even pops up on the app so you can click on things once they’re in your cart, leaving behind only the things you still have to buy. This does away with skipping something you meant to buy because your scribbled our another item too liberally. If you’ve ever wanted to plan meals better and shop more efficiently, this app is for you.

New app is the icing on the cake. I love Plan to Eat--I can't imagine going back to meal planning and grocery shopping for my family of six without it! I’ve been using it for over a year and in my opinion, it’s an incredible value for the convenience it lends to the necessary task of feeding my family. Another thing: the personalities of the real people behind the software really come through in their interactions with members (blog and email newsletters), which makes the user experience that much more enjoyable. They really put forth effort toward building community among members. Until the app release this week, if a person wanted to use the software mobily, she had to access the website on the phone’s internet browser. It worked, but wasn’t ideal. The release of the brand-new app is really the icing on the cake and the cherry on top of the icing! It is so robust that a person can accomplish nearly everything on her phone that she can on her desktop, which reflects the world we live in. Thanks Plan To Eat!!!

A recipe database made of recipes I add!. I love this app and have been using it for a number of years now. It keeps just getting better. On the weeks that I plan my menu, lunch and dinner time just run so much smoother! I have all the ingredients because it generated my shopping list, and I just look at my menu and know what I’m fixing (sometimes I do pick a different night’s menu, but I like being able to switch it around!). I can’t tell you how wonderful this app is. I have bought memberships for my daughter and my BFF, and that is so awesome to be able to share recipes. I also love having a database of all those great recipes by bloggers and chefs that I see on the Internet. It’s so easy to add recipes and be able to search my own database and find it again! It is also convenient to always be able to access my recipes, even when I am out. If I decide I want to make something while I’m out, I can look up the recipe on my phone and stop by the store and get any ingredients I might need. Do yourself a favor and make your life easier! Get this!

Awesome App!. We’ve used this app weekly since we first got it about 5 years ago. I can’t say that about too many other apps.

I’d give it 5 stars if I could import a PDF 👍. Lots of my cookbooks are PDF. It’s a pain having to enter manually. But the ones I can access on the web are easy 👌

Truly excellent :). Have been using for over a year now. I just love the web recipe snipper browser tool, it’s the best. The iPhone app is what I usually cook from. Very happy customer here :)

Getting there!. I love and completely depend on the plan to eat website. The app is slowly building in functionality and will be good. The main thing I miss is the items on the shopping list referring to the dish they are from.

Meal planning has never been easier!. This is a seriously great app. It has helped me eat healthy meals, buy only what I need and cut my food bill in half! Wish I’d found this sooner. It takes all the stress out of preparing meals. I use this every single day and love it! 👏👏👏

Love this app. This app is fantastic. It reduces our shopping bill by planning ahead and gives me a great place to store our recipes. I would highly recommend it.

Really good. My partner and I decided we needed better planning for our meals this year (trying to eat better and waste less) and this is exactly what we were looking for! It’s made shopping for groceries a lot easier too. We know just what we need, there’s less confused dawdling, and we’re both just really pleased.

Lacking simple features. It seems this app has been around for quite some time, so I was surprised to find it lacking in simple features such as adding your own cuisine or tags (keto, baking, family faves, etc) as well as not being able to list a simple ‘cup’ as a measurement. Instead everything converts to mls. This is frustrating when you’re listing non liquid ingredients like flour or sugar. The rest of the app looks promising, but it needs added features to justify a yearly subscription.

So easy. This app makes our life so much easier and cheaper to feed our family on a budget. I love that the recipes are in the app so it’s all in one place

Changed my life. This app changed my life. It’s freed up time for us during the week and $ on ingredients we already have by being able to plan in 10 minutes on Saturday, then go straight to the shop with the app generated list (amended for ingredients we already have). We both have the app on our phones and smash through the shopping much faster than using handwritten lists. I hate everything about cooking, shopping and food prep; this app has enabled us to minimise all of this while eating better than we ever have before.

Really great app. This app is really easy to use and it has a great design. What a great concept too - I’m using it weekly and it’s saved me heaps of time in meal planning & we’re trying new recipes all the time now too.

Meal Planning made easy. I’ve used Plan to Eat for a number of years and have found it terrific and simple. Such a saving on buying just what you need.

Pay-wall. Not interested in paying a subscription fee

Sanity saving app and website. Meal planning /prepping and Christmas (and usual) dinner shopping lists , it’s boredom busting when u can see you’ve been eating the same meals over again and there’s easy inspiration to get out of a food rut . I love this app and have been using it for 3-5 years thanks for quality app and all the money time saved and nutrition and health and happiness gained 😊

What did they do!. I have been using plan to eat for years now, I started on their desktop site. Lately the search function starts searching for your recipe while your still typing this actually slows it all down. Please just make it so that it searches when I hit the search button. Speaking of slow the app is getting slower and slower. I know have over 1000 recipes saved but it should not slow down performing basic functions. Also when importing a recipe from the internet I hit save and then try to view it, it appears as though it wasn’t saved at all and the app effectively hangs itself with the spinning logo. So I do it again with the same results, it takes me about three tries to successfully import a recipe even having to delete and reload the app. Then later I will find I actually have the recipe saved 5 times over. I wish you guys would fix these issues! I really do not want to find another meal planning app but the more frustrated I am with it the more that is looking like my only option.

Really love it!. Really loving this app! Only 4 stars given as I’d love to see a couple of improvements. 1. I think the freezer section really should show how many “meals” you have in the freezer not the number of “recipes”, I find this very confusing. 2. Also would really love some prettier templates to print out the menu. We stick ours on the fridge (so kids & everyone without the app can see) and it’s quite small and boring. But otherwise think this is fabulous!!

Great meal planning. Have used this for years. Makes my weekly chore of food shopping and cooking less horrible

Only gets better with time. I’ve used this website for a number of yrs now. It’s gone from strength to strength and now with the app it’s even more awesome

So handy!. I love the plan and shop features of this app. And the ability to schedule leftovers or whats in the freezer. And i’m also loving being able to save and collect recipes all in one place. Pinterest is great and all, but doesn’t transform into a shopping list with a few clicks!

For beginners and professionals. I am an amateur at cooking and meal prep. This app has stuck with me year on year. It doesn't lose any recipes- easy to add recipes including WW points, calories, micronutrients etc. to goes with me and my fad diets. The annual fee is worth every cent.

Fantastic. Love this app but still use the desktop version for accessing what I have in my ‘freezer’ in PTE - would love to have this functionality in the app - to see what I have in my ‘freezer’, and to be able to add to/remove from freezer. Love the way the app updates the shopping list in ‘real time’ - ie if I add something to to the list while my husband is shopping, he can see the change immediately. Great work!

Revolutionary!. I can’t live without this app! My husband and 2 daughters have it installed too and whenever we need to do groceries we add it to the menu, tick off what we have in the pantry from the shopping list and just buy what we need. We use it for weekly meal planning and special events too! I have saved hundreds of dollars in groceries, and pantry space from not buying impulse buys that never get used, and sooo much time. Love it!! Love it!! Love it!

So helpful. Everything in one place - recipes, calendar and shopping list. My favorite is the scaling available for recipes.

Easy and time saving. I have been using Plan to Eat for 7 years with ~500 recipes saved and I can honestly say that it is worth the money spent. I have noticed that plan to eat has only improved their site/app year over year and they take care not to remove features that are well loved. I love this app and sing its praises to anyone who will listen. Saving recipes, creating meal plans and generating shopping lists are a breeze once you have a solid list of recipes entered.

Best app for recipes, menu planning and grocery lists. I love this app. Have used it for years. I appreciate that I can renew for half price during Black Friday!

Continues to blow my mind. I’m not a “review-leaving” human but I can’t stop bragging about this app so I thought I should make an exception. It’s definitely a time investment up front (especially if you’re anal about consistency), but it’s so worth it. It’s turned meal &grocery planning into a 10 minute activity instead of a few hours every week. I especially love the cooking view for recipes, as I absolutely hate reading recipes online (so many ads and a lengthy blog post I don’t care about and the page is always reloading... nightmare) - that alone makes cooking so much more enjoyable. The features are so intuitive, they really have thought of everything. Learning about all the features only took a few days and it was a pretty exciting process. Added bonus that the company seems cool (values and culture-wise) and not like a greedy corporate monster. It’s actually a dream come true, and has made a great impact on my life - sounds funny but it’s been so, so valuable for me!

Awesome importing from websites. I love that I can get recipes out of a long-winded blog with one click. I also really like that I can replace web photos with my own (once I’ve made it myself). The meal plan creation feature is simple & the grocery list feature makes once-a-week, lockdown shopping for online groceries so much easier! This is a serious time saver for meal planning and worth every penny of the small annual fee.

Needs an update. I’ve been using this meal planner for 3 years now. I use it everyday. I feel that it needs an update. It’s not the best looking app and it seems like the developers are no longer working on it. They’re happy taking my $ each year though. And that’s where it bothers me. If there’s a dev actively working on it, yearly plan is fine. If they stopped developing it, then make it a 1 time purchase. I wish it was easier to import a recipe from a book. With iOS 15, I can now copy/paste text, but it still takes over 10minutes to import it properly in this app.

Best meal prep/ planning app ever. I have used this app for over two years now. I love the simplicity of how it gathers recipes from a URL. I’m able to keep all my recipes in one place. And the meal plan is a drag and drop and away you go. Seriously the best!

Great App. I use this app daily on both the iPad and iPhone and it works without glitches and is very intuitive.

Amazing. This app is a game changer! Makes meal planing and shopping so much easier!

I LOVE Plan to Eat. I know all my favourites are online and I’ll never lose them. PLUS all the great recipes I find online and need to try. Just the best!

Works great. This app has saved me so much time. Instead of ordering expensive delivery meal kits, this makes it easy for me to quickly find recipes I want, upload them into the app in one step, and with one click I have a whole shopping list prepared for the week. Super easy.

Plan to Eat. Was given a subscription to this a few years ago by my daughter and now I rely very heavily on it! I use it almost daily! It is a great to have access to all my recipes no matter where i go! Thank you creators of this fun tool! Laura

The best meal app. Plan to Eat is the best meal app I have used. I am able to save recipes I find on the Web. I can connect with other users and invite them to share their recipes. Sharing the link to my recipe is easy. The cooking view allows for easy viewing of step by step directions while preparing in the kitchen. Editing the recipe for customization is easy as well. Easy on the budget too! Annual fee is affordable and you can earn referral fees for other subscribers.

30 day trial $40 per year subscription. Not worth the price, not interested in subscription to plan my meals.

Get recipe app. This app imports wonderfully.

Love the app; love the program. The app is amazingly convenient for making a menu and managing the grocery list. I’ve frequently planned my menu and processed the grocery list while waiting for my kids in the school playground. There are still some glitches. The app tends to be very slow and crash on me frequently. I find it difficult because I am often cooking multiple recipes at once so usually require multiple recipes at once, so I still use the online website. I also find I miss the website option of having grocery ingredients linked to specific recipes, so I know when specifically I need an ingredient or if I can substitute something else. Overall I have been using plan to eat for six years now. Both my husband and I greatly value the website and app. I look forward to continuing to use the app and see the improvements that are made with time.

My go to place for storing recipes. Love this app and all its features. So easy to import from websites, sort, meal plan and grocery shop.

Save money and your waistline. We’ve been using plan to eat for years and it saves us so much on our grocery bills. Clip recipes from the web, plan them out and you get a grocery list! Best of all it helped my family cook because hubby and kids will cook the recipe if it’s in PTE because “we have the stuff for that”. Seriously lower your stress level and include this as part of your self care - trust me.

I love this app. I love this app so much. It saves me time and money. I know exactly what I need every time I go to the grocery store. I do wish there was an easier way to combine simulate ingredients on the grocery lists.

Finally the app... but needs camera integration. I’m a long time user of Plan to Eat. I’ve gone back and forth between loving it and being completely frustrated and abandoning it. The app was exactly what was needed to smooth out the bumpy experience on a phone so thank you. I’m super disappointed there is no feature to take a photo of recipes from a cookbook and OCR them into Plan to Eat. It’s better but I still have a mountain of effort to put in to get my recipes in there and knowing what it took to get my staples list set up I’m not looking forward to it.

I LOVE this app! It’s amazing !. It’s the best way to menu plan and plan your shopping - and the added plus is the ease of adding recipes! A great way to keep everything in one easy app ! Fabulous !

Amazing!. I love this app! It can be tricky to get started but once you have your base or recipes and you use it for a week or two, you’ll love it. Save so much money on groceries because I’m not buying stuff unless I’m cooking it that week! Love! Love! Love! I don’t cook without it anymore.

Life Changing. I can’t live without the Plan to Eat program. It has changed our life for the better by leaps and bounds. I love everything about PTE. I plan our meals, add the week’s plan to the family Google Cal (so everyone knows what’s for dinner), and quickly make my shopping list (sorted by my favourite stores). I can take my list with me on my smartphone. I have preset meal plans for those weeks I am too busy to create one from scratch. I can easily change how many portions I need for any recipe. I can flip between imperial and metric as needed. I can quickly switch meal days if something comes up. My family is eating healthier, I am saving money by only purchasing what we need. There’s no stress about our meals. I can bring the recipes up on any of my devices, including cooking view. I can quickly add recipes on my devices or manually. PTE has made meal planning a breeze!

Best meal planning to shopping list app ever. In love with its features, lack of ads, and overall smart design. Will totally be sharing the recipes with my network!

Recipe storage and meal planning in one!. I like being able to keep all my fave recipes in one place!

Game changer!. This app has been a game changer. I started using it when lockdown happened to limit my grocery trips. I now plan 1 week at a time, get all my groceries once/week and throw away way less food! It’s also organized all my recipes so I could get rid of random papers and have everything in one place. Highly recommend.

Best Planning and Recipe Storage App. I love this app! It really helps with meal planning and grocery shopping but even better it stores all of those online recipes that you come across. You don’t have to worry about the website being taken down and now you can’t access that recipe you saved. Have your tried and true recipes wherever you are without lugging your cookbooks. So many reasons to love Plan to Eat!

Just what I’ve been looking for!. Amazing app. So glad I finally have a spot for all my recipes. Easily entered old recipes off tattered cards, cut and paste from Word documents, collected all my favourites from Pinterest and now clipping and saving from the Web. Meal planning is a snap! Well worth the annual subscription. More features in the web application, but works well on my tablet and phone, too. Always able to look up ingredients in your recipe when you’re at the grocery store!

Pretty great, needs a few more options. I am loving the app but a few additions could greatly improve it. 1. I’d like to be able to print my meal plan 2. The ability to add my own tags, and course titles. 3. The option to save meal plans. I like to meal plan for a month so I’d like to be able to save that and repeat it for the next month, should I choose, and possibly swap out 2-3 meals.

Superb!. If you are looking for an easy way to plan your meals, Plan To Eat is it! I have been using it for over a year now and it keeps my grocery bill and nutrition on track. Highly highly recommend!

Keeps me organized. To me and my family, worth the annual fee, as it helps me quickly plan our meals and grocery list. Loving it!

I renew every year and recommend!. I don’t use this app as often as I should but when I do it’s worth the money I paid for it. I like to do menu planning and bulk cooking and it makes this smooth and easy, with grocery lists, and recipes at my fingertips. It takes a little while to build up your recipe stock, that is the only reason it doesn’t have five stars. That being said it’s still pretty simple to input new recipes.

Super helpful. Took a while to get my recipes added, but now I find it an invaluable tool in my meal prep routine.

The best way to meal prep, I’m telling everyone!. I’ve never written an app review before before I love this app so much, I had to. I have been dreaming of this app before I knew I needed it. A place that stores my personal recipes as well as EASILY converts online recipes for shopping lists and weekly plans. I’m obsessed. Simply.

Great app for saving recipes. I love this app! Allows me to save and organize recipes from multiple websites. I also like the shopping lists. I feel that there are many things that this app does that I haven’t used yet. I am looking forward to exploring its full capabilities.

Very good. Works well

Loving PLAN TO EAT. It’s so helpful to easily transfer recipes I find to an organized, easily accessible place. PLAN TO EAT helps me to keep all my valuable recipes in order, and allows me to keep notes on adjustments. It’s superb! I also enjoy sharing my recipes, and seeing what other people in my family are cooking!

Love this app!. I’ve been using this app for a few months now and it is well worth the money! This is the longer period of time that I have meal planned. The app makes meal planning easy. I love the grocery shopping list feature. They’ve put a lot of thought into making this app. The features make sense, the programming is intuitive and they are very responsive to questions. All around the best meal planning app I’ve tried.

A clean organized app with visuals. I find Yummly overwhelming and hard to pick what I want. This app is clean and simple with easy visuals that make meal planning fast. I like how fast it uploads my recipes and the cooking view as well. Only negative is that I often get “kicked out” randomly and then it forgets my password, but QA responds extremely fast and fixes it.

Great way to store recipes and plan meals. I love this app! I plan our meals for the week and can even use leftovers or frozen meals so nothing goes to waste! There’s even a grocery list so you can check and make sure you have all the required ingredients for your planned meals! The input for adding recipes is easy and intuitive. The algorithm picks up 99% of ingredients 99% of the time and even adds a photo from the recipe page, if available! You can also scale recipes up or down within the app, so you will always make the right amount. Paid subscription isn’t crazy; it’s definitely worth it for me!

A solid help in organizing my meals & recipes. It’s all I need to collect my recipes, plan my meals, and save me time.

Amazing. This app is almost perfect, they thought of everything. SO customizable. I’ve never found a productivity app that totally works for me. After putting in some hours of initial work, this is going to solve my main problems in my life…figuring out what to make for dinner and making a grocery list. My only qualm is that I wish it would recognize the same ingredients from different recipes and add them together in the grocery list. But don’t hesitate, just get it.

Best app ever. This app has really helped me with meal planning and sticking to my eating plans. It’s so convenient to use with the grocery list and planning functions and I absolutely LOVE how easy it is to save recipes and categorize them. I think it’s a little expensive but to me, very worth it to help keep me on budget and organized!

Love this app!. I'm surprised this isn't the most downloaded app. The import feature is such a huge time saver. Paste the URL of a recipe and the app populates the ingredients, instructions, and image in seconds. It's accurate nearly every time and only occasionally needs some manual tweaking. The meal planner is easy and helpful. There's a shopping list, categories, tags. It's everything I need in a recipe keeper and meal planner.

This is the recipe planner you need. I usually don't take the time to write reviews but this app is so perfect I just had to. Do you like to plan your shopping list around recipes? Get this app. It's a time and money saver, I haven't found an app that works as simple and straightforward as this one. Add your recipes, plan your recipes, and you now have a shopping list automatically created for you. You can add recipes from the internet without having to manually type them. If you want recipes from your cookbook download and OCR picture to text app and you'll make the process a lot easier. Works even better if you are cooking for a family, anyone can add meals onto the shopping list and it is shared across all of your devices. Finally the app is constantly being developed on and the team works hard to keep updating it with new features.

So handy. I love having all of my recipes together. Being able to download and use those recipes I keep pinning is so much fun! I’ve used it for over a year now and love how it helps ease the stress of meal planning 🙌🏻

Paid app. I didn’t get to use it, so the low rating does not go to the app itself, but to the fact that it is published as a free app, but it is “free” only during the free trial period, after which you have to pay. Nothing wrong with paid apps, but it is dishonest not to disclosure that this is one of them from the beginning.

Helps me get organized. I struggle with collecting recipes and then trying to find them again later. This app has made that much easier for me. I also like the shopping list feature.

Exactly what I was looking for. This app is exactly what I wanted for recipes and meal planning.

Just what I was looking for.. Great app.

Love this app. I love the part being able to import recipes… also the grocery list

Makes my life a lot easier. Plan to Eat has a depth of features but doesn’t take long to learn and put to work. It has made my meal planning and grocery trips as convenient as they can be. Luckily I was able to import all my recipes from Paprika and take advantage of the app right away. There is a great set of recipes included with the app and they are good - they helped break us out of a rut by encouraging us to try some new dishes. Within a couple of days I moved from a trial to a one year subscription and have no regrets. I’ve recommended Plan to eat to my adult daughters and hope they’ll give it a try.

Planning and shopping for meals is easier. I used this app to plan a weekend’s worth of meals for a group of 12 people, and since I use it weekly to prepare daily meals. I love being able to import recipes from the web and by bulk input. All of the recipes can be printed, and the app will format the recipes into one template, so everything looks consistent. After I add recipes to the planner, I use the shopping list (auto generating) to check things off at the store. It took me a few tries to get familiar with the features, but since, I have really enjoyed it. Changes: I would love for the app to take a recipe from a PDF format and auto generate a recipe.

Thank you thank you thank you. I would like to thank the developers of this app for creating something that helps simplify my life so much. If you hate having to make dinner decisions on the fly use this app. If you struggle with using the same recipes over and over use this app. I have found so many recipes that my kids love that I now rotate in our meal plan. I spend about a half hour each week planning our meals and then I am done thinking about it for the week! Also....I love that I can import my recipes from the web and edit them to suit my family’s food restrictions. I love that it categorizes my grocery list. I love that I can sort my recipes by meal. Simply love it!!!

Finally ONE place for all my Recipes. First, they let you try the app for 30 days for free THEN if you like it, you have to sign up. Other apps, you have to give payment information before you get to do your free days, then you forget when it ended until months later you see a recurring charge! Second, the cost for one year subscription is SO Affordable! Third, FINALLY I have once place to keep recipes the I find on their site and recipes on other site. Plus, I can add my own recipes. THEN, I can join up with other friends using the app and we share just share recipes. Fourth, I get to “plan” my meals ahead of time. Planning equals success, which means healthier meals and cost saving. Fifth, it takes your recipe ingredients and creates a shopping list that you have control to edit. Lastly, I still can go on and on of more of the other great tools & tips. Plus, they keep making it better every week. I’m better sure this would be on Oprah’s “favorites” list! It’s definitely on mine!

Best Meal Organization App Ever. I have had this app for over 4 years now and it has been the best for my adhd brain, who typically mealplans on the go. I don't use the scheduling part (it works fantastic, my brain just doesn't work with assigning meals to days). I end up mealplanning on the fly (at the office, literally in the grocery store as I am shopping) this app lets me access our favorite recipes so I don't have to rely on my forgetful brain to remember what ingredients are involved. I also skim through when I don't know what to cook. It is essentially your families cookbook for the 21st century. I tell everyone about it, I would literally shout it from the rooftop if I could.

Everything I’ve been looking for. I was hesitant to get started since it’s not free, but it didn’t ask for payment info yet so o figured what the heck. It’s exactly what I’ve been needing! I can add my own recipes, or save from the internet and it cuts through all the gibberish every ‘food blogger’ feels so compelled to write and gives you just the recipe AND nutrition info in an easy format. Being able to edit the servings in order to plan freezer meals or leftovers is also a HUGE plus for me. Saves me so much mental scrambling. It’s day 1 and I already want to tell everyone I know to get it!

NO MORE “WHAT’S FOR DINNER?”. I’m loving this app. It is helping me to stay organized and avoiding the “what’s for dinner” question I have hated for years. I was recently diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and I am having to learn how to cook healthy meals with lots of restrictions. This app helps me to keep all my recipes together in one place with notes, and I love how it creates my shopping list. The only way I can think of making this app better is if the items you don’t need were pushed to the end of the list so there isn’t so much scrolling at the grocery store. I love the list, but with all the items I don’t need, the list is really long and I miss things, causing a longer visit to the grocery store. It may be worth the time to re-write my list before I shop. Thank you for this app!

Love Love Love. I love this app! As I make my family’s favorite recipes, I add them in to the app. Only our favorites get added, which is a nice way to sort through my collection of recipes. I’m loving having immediate access no matter where we go (vacation, holidays at family, etc) and that I can easily share the recipe with anyone through text. I love that I have access from any electronic device, just log in on a computer or iPad or straight from my phone. I can look up recipes in the grocery store when I’m shopping if I forget what ingredients I need. And when my kids go off to college, they can have access to their favorite recipes too. I’ve been using for 2 years now and haven’t regretted anything.

Best Tool in my Kitchen! ❤️. I have been using Plan to Eat for about 5 years and I recommend it to all my friends! I am very visual when it comes to cooking and 98% of the recipes I use are online. It is SO helpful to have all my recipes in one spot and SO easy to import recipes. My favorite tool right now is the shopping list. It automatically populates after you drag recipes into the planner. I never have to write a list or REMEMBER TO BRING my list to the store! We have 6 kids and meals are a HUGE part of our budget and my workload. This app helps me manage all of that and my family eats better because of it! I dont usually pay for apps but this one is TOTALLY WORTH IT!! Plus-if you can remember to do it, it’s half off around thanksgiving every year. ❤️❤️❤️ Plan to Eat!!

Amazing app - does it all. I’ve been using P2E for many years now on the web and kept hoping they would make an app. This one is pretty near perfect. Does the recipes, the meal planning and shopping lists. And I love that I can create and sort the categories to match the order of the aisles at my grocery store. Love that I can easily import recipes on the website. The list syncing between web and app is a bit clunky and I wish you could swipe to delete an item from the list but only minor nitpicks. Great app and well worth the subscription cost. It has saved me SO much time over the years.

Life changing. I have been using Plan to Eat for years now and have saved thousands of dollars and hours by meal planning and always having exactly what I need in the house. Gone are the days of panic “what’s for dinner” and grabbing a whole roasted chicken at Freddy’s. Now we only do that when we are driving home from the airport on the way back from vacation. I’ve shared my love of the tool to friends, on posts, etc. I always renew on Thanksgiving and Id pay a lifetime subscription if they offered one. The team have also been responsive whenever I had a question or suggestion. Bottom line- if you want to get control over your meals, budget and time, this is the tool for you.

A lifesaver!. I couldn’t love this app more. Admittedly, it can take some time and work on the front end to load recipes in here, but once you have them- you have them! I’ve got over 200 uploaded/copied from handwritten cards so far and now, adding new ones from online is easy-breezy and second nature. This is SUCH a help when I’m in the grocery store and can’t remember a recipe or all of a sudden need to plan the next few meals while I’m strolling through the aisles. I waste WAY LESS food, I nearly never buy something we already have (making cabinets and cupboards less crowded), and I have less stress about evening meals. Get this app if you’re interested in a few minutes a month saving you aggravation, stress, and money at the grocery store.

Worth every penny!. I normally don’t buy apps. I look for free versions or alternatives that are free if an app is paid. And I try to stay away from paid subscriptions. However, after a friend introduced me to Plan to Eat, and I tried the 1-month free trial, I was hooked! This app/service makes my life easier. My favorite feature is how it autopopulates a grocery list based on ingredient lists in the recipes I’ve planned. My close second favorite feature is how easy it is to import recipes from websites. (If I had to import all of my recipes by hand, I probably wouldn’t like this twice to all my friends!app nearly as much.) I recommend this s

Be a planner!. I’ve been using this app for about a month now. You have to really be a planner to get the most out of this app. Do your research, find those recipes & use this app to make sure you have everything you need! I recently moved from a city to a very country setting. So I’m 35 minutes from a grocery store! I’ve found that taking 20-30 minutes every week to figure out what we want to eat then finding recipes, importing them & getting a list keeps me from having to go out of my way multiple times a week. In the long run this is a time saver for sure!

The Plan To Eat app is essential. The PTE online app and mobile app are essential to our family’s meal planning and shopping. There have been times in my life when I’ve used it to track 3 meals a day plus snacks seven days a week. Right now we are cooking less, but the app allows for anyone to grab their device and see what recipe is planned for the day and to get it going for dinner. Also, we have a running shopping list that is easy to share and maintain. After trying multiple recipe/meal planning options, I was turned onto PTE by a friend a few years ago and have been in love with it ever since! Thank you for maintaining the app so well and for such great customer service. <3

I really love this app!!. So easy and convenient. I used to have about 5 different subscriptions and had to search everywhere before picking a recipe - plus about 50 cookbooks, and google!! Now when I find a good one (or one that sounds good), in it goes! A suggestion - question: Some recipes do not import (they are usually from cooking blogs or sites). I’ve kept my nytimes subscription for news and get their food email. Mostly they import but sometimes not. Don’t know if anything can be done - perhaps some sites are protected. Btw, I know I can manually input, but you’ve spoiled me!! Other minor suggestion: can you add a shellfish category. I cringe when I label shrimp “fish”—that’s just a pet peeve:).

I actually use this one. There are a ton of recipe and meal planning apps out there, and for whatever reason this is the only one that has stuck. Love that I can track what’s in the freezer and when I put it there so I can see it when I am planning the week, and leave a note for myself to pull it out when I am cooking the dinner the night before. I put in a little effort and corrected the department/location of enough items that the shopping list really does lay itself out exactly to my store. Even on weeks I am slacking and didn’t sit down and plan ahead I can quickly pick a few of our five star rated recipes when I get to the store and be just fine.

What a blessing!. My sister and I have been using this plan to find colorful, tasty and nutritious recipes to get us both healthy as she will need a kidney transplant . We celebrate it is working! Recipes and figuring out daily caloric and nutritional content so we don’t have to take time to calculate is fantastic. We can spend time enjoying each other in life and getting ready for the miracle God is going to send. We thank you so much Plan to Eat for being a part of our lives. I share this program with everyone I meet . Whether I am in the grocery store, on the street or at my church😀 . I especially like how it prepares a grocery list for me another fantastic timesaver.

Great tool for cooking and shopping. I signed up for PTE last Black Friday during one of their sales on the full year subscription. I have since switched over to using PTE for my main online “recipe box” because of the ease of gathering the recipes from almost anywhere on the web or through manual entry, the ability to plan for a week of eating or a dinner party and see it all in one place, and last the ability to have the grocery list ready to go quickly. The window for seeing the recipe during cooking is a plus too. Oh, and the ability to browse, add, and plan from any device! It’s a great app.

Fantastic App. This is a great app, so easy to use and with so many features. I’ve got the whole family adding items to the queue whenever they find a recipe they want to try. It works great on multiple devices. Especially with Covid-19 and staying in so much this is a great way to plan your meals and use what’s in your fridge. My new Sunday morning ritual includes having a glass of tea while I plan the next weeks’ meals to make working from home much easier. Leftovers are great for lunches too! And NO ads!!!! I mean no ads cluttering up your screen. It’s wonderful! The screens are very clean.

The best meal planning app out there!. Love it!! With a family of 6 to feed, Plan To Eat keeps me on point. I originally started using Plan To Eat before they had an app. The initial set up can be time consuming as you get all of your recipes saved into your account, but once that’s done it’s easy peasy to use. I love the convenience and organization. It really saves me a ton of money because we eat out less. It helps me to stay on track with eating healthy. The app is great, functions beautifully, and has all of the great features the website has. I got all my friends to join and we share our recipes with each other. I renew my yearly subscription around Thanksgiving every year to take advantage of their Black Friday discount pricing. ❤️

What an upgrade over my last recipe organizer. I’ve used this now for 6 months after deciding to do ditch my old digital recipe organizer (MacGourmet) - and I love it!!! What an upgrade - this is more than the meal planner I was looking for; it is a complete cook planning tool. I was able to easily move my old library - only lost some of my ratings so no big deal. The process of adding a new recipe from most any site is way easier, and I especially love the process of scheduling the recipe so you don’t just clip and forget - I actually make more new things. I love how it creates your shopping list too. I usually search / plan on my tablet, then use my phone list at the grocery - excellent sync between the two. The ‘start cooking’ function displays well on my tablet while cooking, appropriately pacing the steps. The app and training are very well thought through, and I find the support to also be good. Outside of initial setup, I’ve not used the desktop version much, though understand there are more capabilities there than on the mobile app. I’m considering a gift subscription for my cooking friends so we can try the share feature. I highly recommend this app.

Awesome App. Easy to use. All my recipes in one place. Easy to meal plan and create shopping list. I never forget my list , because I have it on my phone. It also helps with prepping for freezer meals and keeps track of the number of freezer meals I have remaining. I tag my meals by low calorie, low fat, and low carb. So I can filter by what type of meal I needed. Usually I try to give some feedback for improvement, but I can’t think of anything to make better than it is. Whether you’re a meal planner or just trying to have all your recipes in one place, this app is great.

A must have app that I use daily. I have never paid for an app before this. I am blown away by how much time and mental energy this app has saved me! It is my cook book, my weekly meal organizer, my food inventory tracker AND IT MAKES MY SHOPPING LIST FOR ME! That last bit is obviously my favorite part. You can test out the app without giving your credit card or signing up (read: you don’t have to remember to cancel the subscription after the free trial) and absolutely fell in love with all its features. There are a few features I haven't used yet but so far I have no complaints about it at all. Hope this review helps out!

Key to successful healthy eating!!. Plan to eat was the key to my success when I decided to flip my life upside down and cook every meal. With this app I was able to plan healthy meals and it helped me in completing the whole30. I've lost 40 pounds in one year with this app (along with healthier eating and healthy amounts of activity). This app saves so much time in planning you have more time to actually cook! It also empowered my husband to do grocery shopping because he was no longer trying to read my chicken scratch of handwriting and terribly spelled words. He could simply pull up the list on the app and it really helped when he could see what recipes lined up with which ingredients. It brought synchronicity to our grocery shopping because you can add anything at anytime! Love, love, love this app!

Fabulous App. Unlike a lot of “recipe” apps, Plan to Eat is a workhorse. Recipes on the internet are very easily downloaded, the meal planning function is easy to use and the entire app lets you customize your input. The tags and labels are quite useful, and - again - you’re not locked into a drop down list. You can add or delete categories. Some of mine (like “Kosher-able”) would never be on a preset drop down. There is a membership fee but it is well worth it and I would also say that using the app actually saves me money at the grocery store since I can check the exact ingredients on the app. I highly recommend this app!

In my 6th year. I’ve been using Plan to Eat daily for almost 6 years. I have almost 1000 recipes in there. I plan recipes for two weeks, I buy most ingredients in the first week apart from some perishables and adjust and supplement the second week. It makes planning and shopping a breeze. In combination with a good cooking site like the nytimes cooking, I make new recipes every week, while my library allows me to quickly switch to some old classics if need be. I can do all the planning in an hour, same for shopping. This app makes my life easy and delicious!

Love PTE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! These guys are always striving to make the app better and better. It was great when I started using PTE years ago, and it’s even better now. It’s easy to plan meals, the automatic shopping list is simple and SO helpful, “cooking mode” makes following recipes easy even in the midst of evening chaos. We’ve saved a lot of money by planning our meals and eating at home. We’ve had more family time, and my kids have learned a lot of wonderful cooking skills. PTE is an essential part of that for us. There is a learning curve, and some extra time at the start when you’re still importing all your recipes to use. After that initial hump, it’s smooth sailing. Saves time, money, creates opportunities for family togetherness and for learning. Best app on my phone, no question.

Totally worth it!. I’ve been using this app for about 2 months now and it’s completely transformed how I cook for myself and my family. It really helps with meal prepping, grocery shopping and using up leftovers. I honestly prefer to use the desktop version for planning but the app is great for reference and pulling up recipes (the landscape layout is perfect). I find it very easy and intuitive but if you need help they have a ton of guides, and when I contacted customer service they got back to me right away and were super helpful. It’s also just SO nice to have one place to keep all my recipes with a great tagging and categorization system - just that alone is worth the cost of the app!

Very easy to make shopping list. What I like the most about this app is that it automatically makes a shopping list when you plan your week. The list also tells you home much will you be needing so you don’t buy to little or to much. That has been the selling point for me because then less food is wasted. It is very easy to add recipes you find online and easy to plan too. There are a couple of other tools I haven’t mastered yet and I think that would be the downside of the app. It seems it has a lot of other helpful tools but it is very hard to know how to use them. You have to explore for a bit and it takes some time remembering how to use them. All in all the parts the app is made for are awesome. I think for sure it can be made more easy to use other or to interact with.

Saved my sanity. Under quarantine we are no longer getting taken out or drive thru. Since we are home. All the time. I’ve been trying to cook more and use up what’s in the house. This app is literally saving my sanity. Inputting recipes from other places I’ve saved them is largely a breeze with the phone app and it takes me just a few minutes to plan out what’s in the fridge into actual meals. Editing is simple. The only criticism I have is that I’d love to be able to print my shopping list from the app instead of having to go through the desktop web version. Download this. Take some time with the free month trial. You will be hooked. It will change your life. Seriously

Operates like me!. I’ve had Plan to Eat for about 5 years. When I first got it, the concept was great but I really didn’t leverage all it had to offer. Now, I use it quite frequently to save recipes and to meal plan. The greatest new feature is saving recipes from a mobile device. I am forever perusing the internet for ideas and when I come across something it so easy to save it! I also like how I can sync meals withy calendar and develop shopping lists to my nearby stores. The team is always working on making the app more user friendly and keeping it current and I love that I can renew on Black Friday for 50% off regular pricing! Thanks Plan to Eat!!

Simplifies life. I love this app! It keeps all my recipes organized, makes it easy to schedule (and reschedule when plans change) and I especially love having my shopping list generated. All these features save me so much time, and since my shopping is more effecient, i save time and money there too. As a young mom, less time shopping with extra tagalongs (and being able to give them things to look for) is a huge win! I'm not always strict with the schedule, I'll just sit down and choose a handful of meals i want to eat in the next week or so, then as the week progresses i pick and choose how to switch things up. I also schedule my kids in for a night they get to choose and cook so they enjoy the benefits of pte too🙂

The Best Out There!!. I highly recommend Plan to Eat! For years I used programs that had pieces of what PTE has and then clumsily created the other things I needed - like shopping list. This app is extremely user friendly. Make sure you listen to the tutorials in how to add recipes - its easy to do but dont waste your time figuring it out - just watch the quick tutorial. This is fast, user friendly, and complete. I have been using it for about 7 years and Every year recommend it to my friends. There is always a Black Friday special as well. The customer service is always friendly and Prompt as well as open to input. You wont regret this.

Simplified Meal Planning!. This app has simplified meal planning and shopping for me. I share my login with my boyfriend and son’s so that they can help with the grocery shopping and I don’t have to create separate lists. They can also log in at anytime to remember what we’re having for dinner and they can assist with the cooking too since most of our planned meals are tied to a recipe that I’ve added to our account. What’s even cooler than all of that is the ease of pulling in a recipe that I have found online that I want to try out and I can make a Copy of the recipe to tweak it for future uses to better fit our tastes/diet needs. I would highly recommend this app to anyone that wants to streamline their meal planning.

Enjoying this app!. I recently did a trial of this app and I ended up buying it. I appreciate how there was lots of support to use it and no pressure or games with luring me into an automatic subscription. High quality experience and it fully meets my need to make meal planning, shopping and prep a lot more streamlined less cumbersome less stressful. I enjoy being able to import receipts of my own or from websites very easily and to have them all in one place. The auto generated grocery list is very very helpful and I can add in staples to the list. Before my head hurt thinking of planning meals looking up recipes and writing down ingredients from different websites. Now it’s all in one place organized and helps me plan efficiently to meet my healthy lifestyle goals!

Plan to Eat So Helpful!. Plan to Eat makes keeping track of recipes a breeze! I love having a button on my bookmarks bar for importing online recipes with ease. It’s great for meal planning, too. For my family, the feature we use and appreciate most is the grocery list. I can add things to the list while my husband is at the store without having to call him. I can even watch as he crosses items off the list when he puts them in the cart! (Also, I’ve been known to leave him sweet little personal notes in the item notes area, even though that isn’t really what it’s for.)

Money Saving Bliss. Love love love it!! Our family wastes less food, purchases less junk, and eats together more using Plan to Eat (PTE) It is a huge part of our families ability to function with three teens, two careers, and three pets. From the various healthy diets we have tried, to really helping the kid’s grow their cooking “muscle”, to helping us save money by buying smarter and less waste, and the what’s in the freezer section PTE supports us and is integral to our family. From pet food to our homemade toothpaste PTE stores and organizes it all and helps us plan and shop for it. Total game changer. What we are saving in TIME using PTE is worth a fortune. I am so grateful they made this program and app! Thank you 😎💜👍🏼

Member for life. I’ve been an active member of Plan To Eat for several years (over 500 saved recipes and menus). My husband also has the app so we can split up in the grocery store and finish shopping quickly. He shops meats and packaged, I shop produce, dairy, and frozen. Some nights he cooks and always knows what is on the menu for the week. This app has truly simplified our life! They have thought of everything, even listing which stores to buy certain food items from (like the Yagi yams we love can only be found at H-mart). I just wish they would give us a ‘lifetime member’ one-time fee.

Best Recipe App. Gone are the days of carrying around a little tin box with recipe cards. Though they are nostalgic and sweet and passed on from generation to generation, this Time to Eat recipe app is much more user friendly. It’s so easy to add recipes and to search my catalog for my favorite recipes. I don’t even use all of the features all the time, but when I am on top of things, the planning aspect is also a great feature. Really love this app. Also, I get good vibes from the company. I received an email that they were all taking time off for the holidays and not to expect any return messages until they returned, which I found really incredible. I’m happy to support a family-centric company who cares about it’s people.

Worth it.. I’ve used this program for years, have close to 5k recipes saved in it, enjoy cooking for big groups more than family every day but their personalization options, search, meal planning calendar, and shopping list make it dead easy to cook what I like and how I like it. I love having so many of my favorite recipes easily available in my phone app and the ability to cook something on a whim. Also, the ability to look up a menu when cooking for a group that has food sensitivities from a year ago and cook it for that same group of boys tomorrow is invaluable to me. Thank you for making something that is so handy and well integrated into my life and cooking process!!!

Kitchen Staple. I have been an avid user for many years. Iy’s the only app I pay for. I use both the app and the full site on my computer interchangeably. Both are easy to use. Over the years the app has changed to be easier & more helpful... adding new recipes from my phone is so much easier now. And adding from the computer couldn’t be simpler with that bookmarklet. The shopping list is awesome. I love that items leave the list as you buy them- less scrolling. You can even cook from your pantry & suss out recipes for what’s on hand. There are so many features; I’m sure I don’t utilize them all. I love having all my favorite recipes at my fingertips—- Not a week goes by where I am not on PTE. Thank you!!

Best meal planning/recipe/grocery list app!. I’ve been using Plan To Eat since its earliest days, back when it was ahead of its time, before there were a gazillion meal apps. I’ve watched it evolve over time and can attest that it just keeps getting better & better! It is SO easy to use & it actually has helped us stick with meal plans that we use over & over. We eat out less & we waste less. Our kids have now started cooking one meal per week (ages 12 & 14) and using PTE has made it an easy learning process for them. The owners/creators truly care about their community which you can feel in every feature & communication. I really can’t rave enough about PTE!

Must have app. I’ve used this app for years, and can’t imagine going back to the ‘old fashioned’ recipe storage and meal planning. I used to HATE meal planning. Now I’m done planning in 5 minutes with a complete grocery shopping list, which is divided to the stores I shop at for specific ingredients (produce from one store, bulk goods from another). If you struggle with meal planning, finding recipes, or grocery list making this app is for you. I just wish it linked to a home grocery delivery service. If my shopping list was delivered to my door without me having to go to the store, well that would be incredible!

Continuing to Improve. I started using the computer version of Plan to Eat years ago and loved it. I always, always wished they would make an app. The app came out and it was ok. I learned to use the computer version and it fed over to the app. The shopping list was great so I made it work because I LOVED the concept and knew they would make it work. Today when I needed to move a meal around and I was able to do it on the app...amazing. I love Plan To Eat. I know the developers will continue to make it even more amazing. Thank you for making this stay at home mom’s life easier for planning meals in my families crazy, hectic life!

Recipe Vault! Great family meal planner!. I have been using Plan to Eat for about 4 years now. It was pretty basic when I started using it. Over the years the developers have been great at responding to needs and this app is such a help to my busy family of 6. I can add recipes from anywhere (even my own creations) and it saves them and keeps them organized for me. I always have what I need in a pinch and I can drag and drop plan as well as access my shopping list right from the app. You do have to learn a bit about consistent input so your shopping list synthesizes, but not a big deal. In general love this app and use it on a almost daily basis!

I will never stop using this!. I love having all my recipes and meal planning at my fingertips. The phone app is very convenient when I’m in the market. If an ingredient isn’t available, I can just click on it in my shopping list to see the recipe it’s intended for so I can determine what to buy instead. If I see a sale while in the store, I can easily change my meal plan and shopping list to take advantage of it, standing right there in the market. It takes just a couple of clicks to reconfigure a meal plan and create a new shopping list. So flexible, I love it! It’s saved us money. It’s completely taken the stress out of “what’s for dinner?”

Must have!!!. I’ve had this app for several years. It is well worth the cost if you use it at all. It is simple to use and at the same time very robust. It is very simple to add to your collection of recipes especially if you are adding a recipe that is online. It’s just a few clicks to add. You can organize your recipes and tag them making it very easy to find them once you’ve added them. If you are adding copyrighted material to your collection, there is an option to make a recipe private. You have the ability to share your recipes with other users. It is also possible to scale your recipes up or down. I use this app on my phone and in my computer. I find it to be seamless.

A must for busy moms on a budget. I got this app to help me plans meals a little better when my son started eating solids. It has helped save my sanity in so many ways! I knew I loved the app before I just went back and read other reviews but I had one thing to add that I haven’t seen written yet. Planning meals and snacks through this app has literally cut my grocery bill in half. I wasn’t consistent in using the app at first but when I looked back at our weekly grocery bills the difference was undeniable. I now refuse to do any grocery shopping until I have our week planned out in the app.

Time saving miracle. I love this app! First off, they let me do a free trial without having to give me Credit Card info first. I love that. Of course I loved the app so after my free trail I purchased right away. This app saves all my recipes, even the ones from Pinterest. Now all my recipes are on one easy place and I do t have to deal with adds and pop ups when using a recipe from online. This app allows you to copy the website address and paste, then it pulls the recipe for you! No wringing or typing is needed! Of course it does have that option should have a h handwritten or family recipe to put it. Then I can customize meals and days and even customize a shopping list based on the dates I choose. This app saves me so much time and headache when meal planning. I highly recommend.
