Poor Communication, Nice feel & design to app.. UPDATE: got a reply, just to say they don’t have a time frame. would rate 0 stars if possible. I never leave reviews, but I was so dissatisfied with the timeliness of responses I had to. Thankfully it wasn’t a huge deal for me as I did not need time sensitive meds, but can you imagine if I did? Didn’t give me a lot of faith in their service. The pros: service reps seemed nice. The app itself has a sleek look and feel. Easy to navigate, upload docs, & chat. The cons: was prompted to upload my insurance multiple times after I already had which was annoying. They don’t take my insurance, or work with my preferred pharmacy. And good luck getting a same day response! I wish they let you know ahead of time that there’s a delay in treatment, rather than leaving you hanging for 5 days and then sending “ A member of our medical team will be with you in a few days once they've reviewed your medical history. You may experience a slight delay due to the increase in patients requesting tele-health services. “ I don’t know why but I assumed it would be a quicker turn around time for a simple birth control request. Hope no one is relying on this for time sensitive issues! Will be seeking tele-health service elsewhere after this first order comes through since I already paid for the visit.

They make it difficult to change your refill date. The app and website make it sound easy, but if you follow their directions to log in and change your refill date it actually doesn’t work. Then I found another part that says you need to message them the below in order to skip a refill. I did that and haven’t heard back. I’m going to try calling next. Seems VERY sketchy that they make it this difficult to postpone your next refill. “Hi – I would like to cancel my next refill order. Can you help me cancel the order?” Update: I both sent a message and called to postpone my order. (Heads up you’ll be on hold for a while before someone picks up.) I was told that I would be able to postpone until October. Well today I got a shipping notification. This company is so shady it isn’t even funny. The person I spoke with also said that you can’t postpone your order if it’s to shop within the week. Okay, I thought that was fine. To test this I just went into the app and again they lied. Even if it’s not to ship within the week you CAN’T postpone the ship date. You can only ship it sooner. I’m reducing from two stars to one. Once I figure how to cancel this I’ll be looking for a more trustworthy company.

Convenient and easy, I can just forget about it!. This app is a lifesaver and I mean that almost literally! I have PTSD resulting from a medical malpractice issue after my OBGYN nearly killed me during a minimally invasive surgery a few years ago. The reason I had that surgery in the first place was to investigate causes of debilitatingly painful periods. It’s hard for me to go to the doctor now, even for something as simple as getting birth control to lessen the pain of my periods. Nurx has changed my life by allowing me to get medicine without reliving my near death experience. I’m able to go to work, see my students, and have a much higher quality of life because they were willing to work with me to allow me to skip my periods (which usually have me down for the count for a whole week or longer each month). They bill automatically and just send the medication to my door once a month, so I don’t ever have to worry about it. If there’s ever an issue, they’re easy to contact and quick to get it fixed. Nurx has honestly improved my quality of life so much and I recommend it to anyone and everyone who wants birth control from the privacy of their own homes.

Don’t ever use this service unless you don’t care about getting you birth control in months of time. Waste of money! I decided to use this app thinking that it would be way faster then getting an appointment at my local doctors office. I was so wrong! It has been over a week and all I got is messaging back and forth and “sorry we will respond to you in 2-5 business days”. It’s actually so stupid. I decided to pick up at a local pharmacy to make things faster, but nope, they completely messed up the prescription. I had to change multiple pharmacies because the first one didn’t have the medication, and the second one said that the prescription was just written wrong and they couldn’t reach Nurx by phone. This stupid service doesn’t even have a phone number. It just sends you a voice message telling you that they don’t do calls. At this point I would way rather just go to my doctor, and in the end that’s would’ve taken way under a week! Maybe 4 days at most, but nurx, advertising themselves as a fast service that approves your medication in 24 hours, is taking ages! Don’t use this if you value your time. I wish I could just go to my doctor, but I’ve already payed the consultation fee and stuff so I’ll just have to wait it out and struggle in the meantime without a current prescribed pack of birth control.

Had my doubts but this app is fantastic. I had my doubts about having such a time sensitive medication as birth control pills shipped to me, especially since I needed a refill within a week of signing up with Nurx but not only did my Rx arrive quickly but it arrived ahead of the original estimated arrival date which I was absolutely ecstatic about. It was super fast and easy to sign up, I literally did it on my lunch break at work, and so much easier than dealing with the traditional pharmacy. My insurance covered it after just uploading a picture of my insurance card and I didn’t have to stress about calling doctors or making sure the pharmacy was actually working on my order. The team was in contact with me through every step on the process so I knew exactly what was happening and I’m just mad at myself for not making the switch sooner. Such a load off my mind not having to worry about my Rx anymore.

Absolutely amazing. Highly recommend to everyone I know!!!. I've seriously never written a review for an app before but I love Nurx!!! I've never had such an easy experience obtaining birth control. Ever. It was so seamless and easy, and the staff communicates with you at every single step. You can literally message with an RN one on one with any questions you have. To get birth control, you just upload your insurance card, and if you don't have insurance like a lot of us don't, you can still get birth control for $15 a month! You can also use savings cards if you have them just like at any physical pharmacy! I'm literally recommending this to everyone I know. All you have to do in terms of medical stuff is just know your blood pressure within the past last six months, which you can get checked for free at places like CVS, or use an at home machine. Also, amazing selection. Nurx has everything, every kind of pill, patch, etc., with all the info you need about the pros and cons of each individual one. I learned so much just browsing through their website and have never felt so educated about all the kinds of birth control, especially all the kinds of pills there are. You can also have a nurse select a pill for you based on your info and prescribe it to you, just like at the physical doctor. My pills shipped in less than a week! If you need birth control in an easy way, I seriously recommend you try it!!

Scam. This company is a joke! I normally don’t make reviews but felt the need for this one. I have amazing insurance and have never had an issue with prescriptions. I tried to get a prescription for my skin and they said it’s not covered under my insurance plan. I 100% believe that is a lie, because I can go to my normal doctor and get one with no issues. I never even have to pay but 5 dollars for doctors visits blood work and medicine I pickup at the pharmacy regardless of what it is. They never even offered for me to purchase the medicine in full amount and every time I reached out to there team the basically ignore the questions I ask them, not to mention the timeframe that has taken to even get a response from them about this situation has been well over a month! I don’t think it’s worth having to pay 40$ for every prescription request on the site. They wanted me to pay another 40$ just for a new consultation for a different medication in the same category. I don’t have the money to just throw around like that and I think it’s absolutely ridiculous. I asked for a refund which they ignored. Why did I even pay the 40$ just for them to waste my money and time? They told me they can’t even find a list of what my “insurance covers”. This is a scam

I cannot hype enough. This is the way medicine should be done. I first tried to go on birth control when I was in college. Not only did we have a health center on campus, but my town had a really large women’s center as well. Do you know how long it took to get an appt for an exam just to get some birth control pills? Literal months. And they would only give me so much before I had to go to the dr again to make sure I was doing ok, usually that follow up appt slot always clashed with my schedule and I would not be able to get a refill on time. All this to say that Nurx is so convenient, price effective, and just dang right awesome. It never made sense that getting birth control had to be so hard or expensive. Nurx is fast with shipping my pills before I run out. The website asks all the right questions to help me find the right pill for me, and it is easy to seek out the generic options. I just cannot hype this website enough!

NEVER USE THIS FOR ACNE TREATMENT!. I am extremely upset at Nurx. First off, they take forever to respond to you. I waited pretty long for my prescription, only for the dermatologist to give me prescriptions that weren’t oral (when I requested oral). I went along with it and ordered the necessary suggested wash. A day or so later, the order is cancelled with no notification as to why. The cancellation said “Your order can’t be processed due to a problem. Check your messages on guidance to how to fix it.” So, I checked my messages. Nothing. Texted asking. Nothing. Texted an upset response. Also nothing. I had to email support with an angry letter for me to get a response, only for it to say that my insurance information was rejected and that they cannot provide me a $40 refund because I already got a medical consultation. Huh, you mean the consultation that gave me products I never asked for? The consultation that gave me topical medicine instead of oral medication? I only have one insurance plan. If it was rejected, how am I supposed to provide another insurance? Nurx is a scam. I paid $40 and got nothing from them. I will never be using Nurx again, nor will I ever recommend this to anyone. Waste of my time and money.

Good idea, terrible execution. I thought using this app would be a great way to get a prescription easily before a vacation. Spoiler alert: it was not. It only made things more complicated and stressful and I had to scramble at the last minute to find a backup. I submitted a request a week before my vacation, but it took them 5 days just to review and reach out with additional account/customer service questions (not even doctor questions - they hadn’t even sent it to a doctor, it took them 5 days just to review and ask account questions). I called and resolved those questions the same day, but at that point since it had already been 5 days, and they had not even sent it to a doctor yet (just their customer service), there was no guarantee they’d be able to send to a doctor, the doctor would review, and I would get my prescription before I left for vacation. In my mind, if Nurx had additional account/customer service questions, they should have flagged and reached out immediately on day 1 or day 2 after the request not waited 5 days. Now it is 2 days before my vacation and I am left trying to figure out how and where I can get my medication. I am very disappointed and upset with their service and would not recommend it.

Helpful app and AMAZING service. I had been going back and forth getting my prescription from my PEDIATRICIAN (spoil alert- I'm 20). Nurx let me get my birth control without dealing with annoying doctor's offices and trying to get an appointment. I just told them exactly what I wanted (the same birth control I've been on for years), they asked a few health questions, and then moved me right along! I'm on one of the medications they ask about in the health screening, so I was worried about getting my prescription request approved. Luckily, because I had been on this medication before while on birth control, they were extremely understanding. I received a message informing me of the possible complications (birth control can make my other medication less effective) and was asked if I wanted to proceed. I was able to easily view the message and reply on the app. I informed them I was monitoring the situation with my prescribing doctor and they moved me right along! Couldn't recommend more highly this easy, thoughtful, and safe process for getting birth control. Nurx as a whole is great, and this is app is intuitive and effective. I feel like my health information is secure, and it is super easy to connect to the service and get the answers you need.

I never write reviews but... Ok I don’t think I’ve ever written an actual review for an app but I HAD TOOOOO!! This app is a GAME CHANGER! I’ve always been meaning to get birth control but having to make the doctors appointment and all of it was just not scooting itself in my school and work schedule sadly.. I found about this app I won’t even lie about a year ago? And I thought to myself wow.. what a great scam these people are hosting over here, then later now a year later I stumbled upon it again and I saw all these reviews and finally said you know what? What the heck let’s do this. First this app is EXTREMELY easy to use! Second they respond in less than 3 days to you and the whole process was actually very easy and stress free. And best part it WAS FREEEEE?!?!? I know it’s a steal. I totally recommend this for everyone who knows their daily lives are a bit hectic, this is a trip to the doctors and phracmacy you’re saving yourself a month! Don’t knock it till you try it :)

Unreliable. This company was great for the first year providing me birth control. Renewal of my prescription for the second year was not an easy process having to go back over all my medical history over again as it seems they keep nothing in file or fail to review it. The this past January my birth control pill’s arrived two weeks late. I got the notice for my current prescription renewal and completed the paper work as asked. Finally, with only a few days left someone a “provider” contacted me. They gave me options for birth control. I told them what I wanted. Then they responded that they could no longer provide me service because of a medical condition they saw listed in my file. A medical condition I had listed from the very beginning and that I’ve had for over 15 years and still been in birth control with no problems. So now I have two days of pills left and I can’t get in with a doctor for almost two months. They left me high and dry for no reason. If they had simply told me that when I received my last pack of pills I may have had a chance at finding another provider before I ran out. Don’t bother with this company they can and will drop you at anytime leaving you without medication.

Not consistent. I had a pretty good experience for the first few months until my specific brand of BC was randomly unobtainable. In lieu, they sent a generic which I was hesitant to take (history: I tried many before finding one that didn’t make me depressed/sick). So in an effort to try to keep what I was comfortable with, I reached out and asked for my prescription to stay only the specific brand. What they failed to mention was their inability to get it at all. I even tried doing the whole “go to your local pharmacy” when my local pharmacy called to tell me they couldn’t get it either (12 dollar ‘service fee’ for nothing). In a desperate to just get some kind of BC, I requested my prescription allow generics again. This is where everything went downhill. This was maybe two months ago and I’m STILL having issues (not automatically sending each month, saying my insurance won’t cover it even tho my insurance hasn’t changed at all, etc). Also, the chat feature is great... IF you can get someone to respond. If it’s an urgent issue, I’d definitely recommend finding their number online. Otherwise you’ll be waiting 3 days for a response.

0 stars. This company truly makes it so difficult to get birth control that you already have a prescription for! I was switching out from my pharmacy to get a different brand and I contacted them 2 weeks before I would run out of my pills and hopefully start a new pack with my preferred brand, and they literally ignored me for 10 days, I had to call them and wait forever to speak to someone who was clearly unbothered about how long I was waiting. She said she was going to let the prescribers know to rush my request and I should hear back within a few days. Nothing. I call back again and speak to a man who was very kind, but he tells me there is no request in to rush my order and he’ll do it but it will still be at least a week before I get my medicine. I say okay, knowing it’s better than nothing, and once it was processed a few days later, it still didn’t even ship out. I called to cancel, as I got in touch with their competitor, Favor, and they were able to get me the contraceptives I needed in just 4 business days. Nurx, you should work on your communication and customer service. It is not healthy for people to have to miss doses of medication because they are waiting on your care team who is supposed to provide quick, easy service.

Useless.. Do yourself a favor if you have skin problems. I wasted my time and money for them to send me something that doesn’t work. I’ve had uncontrollable acne for years. Two years ago I developed acne around my mouth and I could not get rid of it no matter how I tried. More recently, it developed under my eyes. I went to prompt care and the doctor treated me for an allergic reaction. After 4 of his prescribed pills (that I got the same day!) the redness around my mouth cleared and the bumps are nearly invisible and starting to fade. I had to take those first 4 pills all on the day I got them, so imagine my joy when the breakout cleared on the exact same day I went for help. I am seeing my dermatologist in a month to see what I am allergic to. Also, my insurance didn’t cover my medications from Nurx, and I have good insurance through my husband’s employer. I spent less than half of what I spent on two allergy medications than I did on the medication I got from Nurx. They say “who has time to wait in line at the pharmacy?” Well, I think most of do when we are going to get the care we need on the same day we see the doctor.

Really amazing. I love Nurx! Before this app/website, I’ve had repeated issues getting my prescribed BC in my pharmacy, no matter where I am or how many different pharmacies I drive around town to visit, and I’ve always felt like no pharmacy or doctor cared that I needed something and couldn’t get it. I submitted my info to Nurx’s doctors, and got my pills quickly and easily, with no issues refilling. After using them for almost a year now, I called up their customer service for a slight change in my refill that I wanted to address, and my amazing experience with that is what led me to write this review. I was treated with so much respect and empathy, which is so incredibly refreshing when it comes to discussing my “women’s health” issues. I never realized before now how unheard I felt and how much explanation I felt I needed to give for even the slightest concern or desire for a change. Thank you Nurx, for being a safe and comfortable space to get birth control and remote care!

Amazing app and company!. I rarely take the time to write reviews but I am so pleased with Nurx that I have to take the time to do so! I was able to get birth control pills delivered to my door within 7 days of requesting them! The nurse was extremely helpful when it came to choosing the right pill for me and my health. After I received my pills I also requested 2 pills of Ella and within 10 minutes they had already prescribed them to me and I received them about 2/3 days later! I had also seen that Nurx also has acne products, and they had the acne topical that I had been trying to get from my dermatologist for months. I had received the cream about 1 1/2 weeks from requesting it and I only had to pay $30 out of pocket after insurance! It saved me a $300 trip to the dermatologist! I am very pleased with their response times and shipping rates! Will continue to use Nurx in the future. -I have never experienced any problems with their app it is amazing!

They’re Over Run and it Shows. I could write an essay about Nurx as I’ve been using them for years but I’ll sum it up as hit or miss. If you know what birth control works for you or want to try something and know your insurance covers it, there’s usually no issue and Nurx isn’t awful to use for that. However if you have endometriosis (like me), PMDD or PCOS and depend on the right birth control in a timely manner, you’re gonna get frustrated with Nurx quick. They’ll sometimes switch your birth control for no adequate reason and charge your insurance as well, so when you try to resolve that it’s agony with this company. And they forget to sometimes ship before you run out of your birth control, which is unbelievable. You’re in charge of giving people hormones! These aren’t daily vitamins. Some of us actually can’t function if we miss a pill. And yes I’m typing this currently out of my birth control, praying I can function for work tomorrow as I need to take it continuously or I’ll be debilitated with an endo flare. So thanks Nurx.

Incredible for migraines!. I’ve used Nurx for several years - first for birth control and now for migraines - and always had such great experiences with both the providers and the customer service reps. I especially want to mention Karolann, who I spoke to recently on the migraine CS line: she was just so, so kind and patient and helpful. I had a pretty complex issue with fixing an order cancellation for different 4 medications with 2 separate insurance policies and one out of pocket payment method. I had just called to find out if I could salvage the order/reverse the cancellation and she went above and beyond to help me not only fix the errors but to streamline the different insurance coverages and out of pocket payments. She was so kind, professional, empathetic, and personable and made me feel so valued and taken care of by the company. I also owe a huge, HUGE thank you to the prior authorization department for fighting on my behalf with my insurance for nearly 6 months to get approval for a very new and very expensive medication that had been flat out denied several times before. They kept me updated throughout the whole process and never stopped working to help me. My doctor has also been so incredibly patient and responsive has worked so hard to find a treatment regime that works for me. Thank you to everyone there for providing such a wonderful service ❤️

Loving my experience. I have been using this app to get the pill for 5 months now. In the beginning, I had requested the birth control I was on in the past. One of the doctors messaged me recommending a single hormone (progesterone only) pill due to me mentioning I had high blood pressure and a kidney disease. She mentioned excess estrogen isn’t good for those two things. I have never been informed this in the past from other OBGYNs BUT I did my research and it’s perfectly logical. So I agreed to try the new pill, which was the same price as the one I wanted ($45 for 3 months supply—no insurance) and the pill has been fine and the customer service response was amazing. They explained to me everything you need to know when taking the pill (when you start, when to be concerned, what to do if you miss a pill, etc) and ensured me I could reach out anytime with problems or questions. My first shipment took about a week to arrive, and my auto refill was perfectly on time. I would recommend atleast giving them a try! I’ve not had any problems so far and I have friends who are also having good experiences using this app!

A life saver!. Can't give enough stars. I few weeks ago I attempted to get emergency birth control. I have both health insurance and a flex spending account through my job. But because emergency bc is over the counter my insurance/FSA wouldn't cover it and NO where in my town would let me see a physician to get a prescription so that I could be reimbursed. I even went to Planned Parenthood and was told I couldn't get a prescription. I was in tears that both my insurance and FSA would rather pay for me to have a baby than pay $40 for birth control. Which to many struggling people like me is a lot of money. Then I heard about Nurx on NPR as I was driving home. I signed on and got emergency bc asap 100% covered through my insurance and they delivered 3 months of bc pills (also 100% covered) to my house! They took care of everything! The nurses and doctors of Nurx kept me in the loop and were sensitive, kind, and quick to respond to questions. This app is revolutionary and I am so impressed and thankful.

Doesn’t really make anything easier which I thought was the point. So, my care provider is a hostage care provider who refused to refill my bc prescription unless I paid for a bunch of unnecessary services. I had to cancel the appointment to start with because I couldn’t afford to go. I have an ovarian cyst and pmdd so I really need my birth control. It keeps me from bleeding constantly(I bled for a solid 2 months prior to being put on birth control because of the cyst) and it helps my emotions be manageable. Well, after she refused to refill my prescription, I tried this hoping it would help. It took them a week to even have customer service review it and now they’re telling me it’s going to take another 2-3 weeks to even receive my bc and that’s if they approve it. I feel so stressed and honestly abandoned by the healthcare system. This app is not helping me. It’s not timely or efficient. It’s great that they want to provide a service for women but honestly they have a long long way to go. It feels like I’m dealing with a trial version on an app instead of a fully developed service. At this point I don’t know what I’m supposed to do. So I guess thanks for being just as difficult as the hostage care providers you claim you’re better than.

Skeptical at first, then blown away!. I came across an online ad for Nurx roughly 6 months ago, read every online source regarding it along with reviews and decided to see for myself what the hype was. Needless to say, it has been better than when I would go to my OBGYN! The online medical staff really paid close attention to what I was searching for, since the pills were on were only good for regulating my flow (which is why I was put on)— the cramps were unbelievable, the acne- terrible, and don’t get me started with the mood swings/depression! They took the time to evaluate my concerns and were very understanding to my situation as well as being open to other brand/options if one didn’t seem suitable for me. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. I thought I was going to have to take myself off BCP for good and just live with 2-3 periods a month— this team is just fantastic and I will continue to do business with them as long as they keep up the phenomenal job they’re doing!

Used to be good. I first used Nurx a few years ago and it was a quick and painless process. I filled out my request and gave them my insurance info and by the end of the day my order was on its way. I decided to use it again to avoid having to research a new doctor now that I moved. I should’ve just gone to the doctor. I submitted my request and my insurance info and it processed for two days before I received a text saying my order was canceled and to read the message they sent. I went to the app: no message. I messaged them and got a super delayed response from them. Turns out there was an issue with my insurance. Another day later I get a message saying they sent me a generic prescription and charged me $60. When I asked why this happened because my insurance has fully covered the brand name I requested, they told me that I would have to ask my insurance and that the prescription was written to substitute to generic if the pharmacy didn’t have brand name. Talking about responses, you have to wait at least 10 minutes from sending a message in order to get a response and when you do, you’re never talking to the same person. Also the message tab doesn’t have time stamps so you can’t see how much time has actually passed between your message and their response.

inconsistent and underdeveloped. I want to love this app/service because it should be a net good for society, but my experience has been less than great. as others have said, the chat feature seems like a good idea, but sometimes i get responses almost immediately and other times it takes several business days without warning for issues that are time sensitive. i’ve also tried calling and gotten no response, which leads me to believe this team is severely understaffed and ill-equipped to handle demand. my prescription ran into a bug where my automatic refills were paused and nobody communicated this to me, causing me to receive my birth control late (!). there was a national shortage of my specific kind of birth control for several months and i was told each time i was due for a refill that i would need to pay a service fee to have a replacement sent to my local pharmacy - effectively asking me to pay a copay for a prescription that is supposed to be free with my insurance. the app is also confusing and hard to navigate. i really hope this team takes these comments seriously and works to improve the customer experience.

Customer service has drastically decreased. I previously rated this app 5 stars but have changed it after a recent experience. Once your prescription is approved and is ready to be shipped the experience with Nurx is overall pretty painless. That is until you need to get in contact with them after the fact. I skip my periods due to PMDD and hormonal acne. Upon renewing my prescription I asked that they send my prescription to my local pharmacy for at least one pack, as my shipment from them wouldn’t come in on time for me to skip my period. The person I talked to said that was fine and instructed me to send my local pharmacy info. Two days later I received a message saying my prescription was on its way but nothing regarding sending a pack to my pharmacy. It’s been 5 days and I have sent multiple messages regarding the status of this and haven’t received a reply. The message I receive is to give them up to 48 hours to respond, well it’s been 120 hours and I haven’t heard a thing. It’s things like this that make people reluctant to do telemedicine. It’s the fact that I’ve talked to 4 different people or bots more likely through this experience when they advertise personalized care. There’s no personalization, and no easy way to contact a real person to help you with timely manners such as this.

What a Nightmare. This whole business is a scam. It’s an exhausting and consistently frustrating take on a crucial service. I absolutely love the concept of getting it delivered and being able to do it all online. First month was fine. Every month since they have tried charging my card anywhere from $8-$10 even though under my insurance all forms of birth control pills are free at no cost to me at all. Every time I’ve tried to explain that to the staff at Nurx their only response is to talk to my insurance… even if I’ve already told them that I have. I can explain it to them all day I only get automated responses, never any real help at all. Also the customer service is the worst I’ve seen on any online platform. It takes up to 6 days for someone to get back to you on anything. The earliest for me was 3 days. So you send them a message and by the time they respond you’re so close to running out of pills that you rush to get it taken care of. Also you can specify on your app settings that you want to be notified if insurance doesn’t cover it before you’re charged. At first I had it turned off then after the second month I turned it on. Well then they just charged me without any heads up the third month, completely ignoring my preference. Then, when I looked at the settings it was gone. If I hadn’t spent the money on the annual fee I would drop it. However any more of this insanity and I’ll just delete it all together. So sick of it.

This app is the best!!!!. I seriously love this app. I have been trying to get oral acne medication from doctors for the last few months because my skin has gotten so bad from the mask mandate. For some reason, they would prescribe topicals that only made my skin worse instead of giving me what I really need - an oral acne medication. It got to the point where I wouldn’t even leave my house, it was causing depression, and it was causing isolation. I was getting to a very dark spot but then the doctors on this app came through for me!!! I finally got the oral acne medication I needed and now my skin is finally clearing up!!! I am so excited and I’m happy I can leave my house and socialize without worrying about my acne or it getting worse. I highly recommend this app as I believe it’s saving my life because of the pain I was in. Thank you so much to the doctors, nurses, and dermatologists on this app. You guys are the best!!!!! Thank you for listening & giving me my life back!!!!

I don’t usually review but. Okay so I’ve like, never reviewed an app, but this app made my life SO MUCH BETTER. I take BC for extremely painful periods, I take a certain kind (I tried a few different kinds previously), they had my kind, when they run out of stock they send me an appropriate off brand with the same active ingredient so really I’ve yet to notice the difference. I live very rural and it’s a pain to get prescriptions at the pharmacy but with this it comes right to my house and I don’t even have to remember it. The bad reviews seem to be from people who have no idea what they’re doing on the app. And yes, it auto renews (I saw bad reviews about that? For me it’s nice bc I don’t have to think about it anymore). Also, customer service has always answered me in a timely fashion and been super awesome (I saw reviews about that too so thought I’d share my experience). The only time I’ve had issues with this app is when I myself did something wrong (changed cards and forgot to update my billing info; then it took a while to get my new shipment. Which makes sense if you aren’t entitled.) Every month they also send me a card that explains I have a right to speak to a dr about my birth control which I like. I dunno, I just really like the app. 10/10 recommend.

Idea is great. App is not.. I ended up trying a few birth controls through this app. I once used the doctor's recommendation function, but I also found their listing of all the birth controls available to be one of the most comprehensive and easy-to-read guides on the internet. At the OBGYN, I never felt empowered to do my own research and make my own choices. In years of using birth control, I never felt like I was on the right thing until now. Pros: App is laid out well and easy to understand. They offer prescriptions for any birth control. Pricing is great. Shipping was also very quick once I'd gotten the script. Providers still ensure patients are safe on their meds, and patients still have a chance to ask questions. Cons: the app loads *so* slowly. It takes several minutes of waiting with the loading circle. If they fix that, it'll be 5 stars. It can also feel slow waiting a couple days for the prescription, but I know that's related to their mission of keeping costs low. It's still way faster than waiting for an office appointment!

The WORST!. When I first signed up it took 3 weeks to get my RX. They sent me a tracking number that did not move, ever. I had to endup requesting to send to my local pharmacy. It was a nightmare dealing with this company. Not to mention of course my birth control was almost a month late because of this. This was not ok! Anyhow once sent to my pharmacy all went well since it was out of their hands. Fast forward 2 months later…. I am messaging asking for them to send the remainder of my Rx (9 months worth) to my pharmacy. I don’t want to deal with this place any more then I have to. So after this message, I get a response saying my insurance won’t approve until a certain date (yes I know this), and if I need it sooner I can call my insurance and pay out of pocket. Pay out of pocket?! This is what insurance is for! All I asked was to send the remainder over, not for an early fill. Why must these people insist on making things more difficult then they need to be. I paid for NURX to write me a 1 year prescription, and that is all I want. How hard is it to just send refills? I cannot wait to cut ties with this company!!! They can’t handle their own service and should maybe hire more people! Or….. just can it! If your looking into getting a prescription from them, BEWARE. It’s a difficult, and most annoyingly, long process! Dealing with them stresses me out! Never again!! Good luck to all you who try them out.

Convenient & No Hassle for Generic Brands. I’ve been using Nurx for about a year now as I just completed the survey to renew my prescription. Since it’s a Sunday, I didn’t expect anyone to respond, much less process my renewal application, but they did and now I’m all set for this year! 🙌 For me, this app and its team has been a great experience 😊 as I’m fine with receiving the generic brand of my preferred birth control pill brand since previous doctors actually prescribed it that way for me and it didn’t have an impact on me. I didn’t want to make additional doctor appointments by having to make time to leave work or take a personal day just to get a birth control prescription, which really helps lessen the severity of my cramps. So, this app is a great solution for that! They always remind me and send me text and email messages/notifications on when a new 3-month supply is being sent and then a tracking order when it is shipped out. The messaging app is also really easy to use if I have any questions. I’ve never called them, so I’m not sure what that experience is like. I’ve read some of the negative reviews where communication seemed to fail, but I’ve not had those issues. Also, some of the negative reviews seem to be about when people request specific brands, and so maybe there are still issues working with that? But if you’re fine with generic, you should be able to get the product on time 👍.

Best app ever. I’ve been using this for years, ever since I saw an ad for it, and I will never go back to seeing a doctor in an office just to get a birth control prescription. This app allows me to chat with a RN about my questions and concerns around different types of birth control. Even if I think of a new question a few days later, all I do is open the app, send my question, and have it answered in the next day or two. AMAZING! I’ve been able to chat with the Nurx team to figure out what medication is best for me which has brought such ease and satisfaction to this previously long and expensive process. Once you know what you want, you request it through the app and they send the script to the pharmacy of your choice within minutes. My RN also sent me some savings cards just in case there was a cost to my prescription which was very nice of her to do. I can’t thank you all enough for making such an amazing app with a great concept. Thank you!

Was better in the beginning.... I am using this app for about four years now. In the beginning it was amazing. Customer service was always quick to respond and fix any errors that they made, my prescription arrived quickly, and if I ever needed to speak with a doctor it was fast and easy. The last two-ish years have been absolutely terrible. Ever since their name got out there more, their customer service has gone downhill tremendously. It takes weeks on end to get a response through the chat, and if you call on the phone you have to wait upwards of 1 to 2 hours just talk to someone even if you're only the first or second person in line. They try to change my prescription all the time even when I tell them not to, they try to charge me multiple times per month for my prescription even after I've already paid for it and it's been shipped. And they are trying to refill my prescription every two weeks instead of every four weeks like they're supposed to. I loved this company in the beginning, but I'm starting to think that it's time I find another. They have just gone downhill so much that I don't think they are worth my time and effort anymore. It's supposed to be "birth control made easy" but it seems to be more difficult than it's worth at this point.

Love!. I have told all of my friends about this app. It’s very straightforward and easy to use. If you have a birth control that you already use and like, you can select that option and they will fill it (as long as they have it). If not, you can answer a few questions about what you’re looking for in birth control and they will suggest one that works for you. If you have insurance, they run it through that prior to charging you for any cost. Unfortunately, my insurance does not cover BC and I’ve since noticed that Nurx seems to always find a low price for the 3 month refill pack. I suffer from frequent migraines and when I first signed up it was flagged (as I thought I had gotten an aura once). A nurse messaged me within 3 hours and after a brief conversation (in which I learned more about auras than I have from my previous doctors and determined it was not one), approved my prescription. This was all done within the same day. I cannot express how fantastic this app is! Love love love!

Awesome and convenient!!!. I LOVE this app! Total lifesaver. I used to have insurance under my school so I would always pick up BC from my campus. However as soon as I graduated it was no longer covered so I had to change my insurance, however I didn’t have a general gynecologist anymore since the one I saw was on campus. I didn’t really want to pay a high copay for doctors visits just for a prescription BC, so I turned to this app and I’m so happy I did. My original doctor prescribed me a kind that I didn’t see on the list here, but I messaged A nurx physician and they gladly gave me the birth control I’ve been taking. They are so quick to respond to my messages and I always receive my packs on time! I was going out of town for a while and wanted to make sure I had enough BC on me, so they even sent me my next refill a little early to ensure it would get to me on time. This app is honestly very convenient and I am yet to have any bad experiences with it (I’ve had for about a year now)!

Terrible- do not use this service. I typically don’t write reviews however I would like to share my experience with this to ensure this doesn’t happen to anyone else. I (like most people) heard of this service being the “Uber of birth controls” and thought the idea of having my birth control delivered right to my home sounded great. Upon registering I was able to choose the birth control I’ve been taking. This saves me a trip to my physician and paying copays just to have an RX refilled. I selected a generic I’ve used previously and works well with my body. Selecting a generic name you wouldn’t think you would get a generic for a generic right? Well this is incorrect, they sent me a completely different RX than what I ordered. I have tried calling numerous times however I wait on hold for over 30 minutes only to be told I need to leave a voice message. I’ve sent numerous messages on the app to ensure the correct RX will be sent to me and received no response. I finally received a response and was told moving forward they would ensure I receive the correct RX. It’s great they are rectifying the issue moving forward however that doesn’t help me in the predicament I am in with the incorrect birth control. Avoid this app at all costs if possible. There are much better alternatives especially ones that will ensure you get the right RX or assist you in the event you get the wrong one. This business is not accredited with the BBB, I understand why now.

Fantastic service exactly when I needed it. I previously used Nurx for a tretinion prescription and used a another mail order service for birth control to avoid the fee for a new prescription. That all changed when the other company cancelled my account (and birth control) right before my yearly renewal was due without the chance to appeal. Let me tell you, that $15 fee was well worth the service and support. Nurx made it possible for me to get a new script before I ran out. I use hormonal birth control primarily to treat symptoms and the idea of a cycle without that was horrible. They were quick and response and you can tell they really care. My birth control is newer to market and expensive so a lot of insurance companies don’t cover it - my provider reached out to discuss my options and insurance to make sure I didn’t face an unnecessary financial burden and worked with me to find an alternative when the item wasn’t available (not Nurx’s fault at all- I blame the health care system in America).

Horrible. I was skeptical in trying this app because I didn't know if it would be convenient or beneficial for me but boy was I right to feel as such. I did the whole thing where I placed my order and pick the birth control I wanted. One thing I should mention is that I did want a specific brand that my doctor had originally prescribed me before and I really didn't feel like changing BC because of how I may or may not react to it. Anyways I placed my order in advanced and was processed within 2 days but now I was awaiting for delivery. Well I waited and waited, and it had been over a week before I finally messaged them asking what was taking so long. Apparently, the pharmacy has been out of stock with the specific brand I requested and they failed to inform me that they wouldn't have it in stock for another 2 MONTHS...so then they suggest that they could have my prescription sent to my local pharmacy... Are you kidding me?! If I had wanted that, I would've never bothered with trying to get it delivered from you guys ?! Ugh what got me was the lack of communication from them about not letting me know that my B.C. Is out of stock and o wouldn't be receiving it anytime soon. That is something I would have liked to know ASAP so I can anticipate not taking my B.C. You guys are screwing people over by not communicating and your inability to actually deliver BC like your whole app is meant to do is such a failure. I would not recommend to anyone.

This app saved my sanity and kept me baby free. I have been on birth control for almost 4 years due to health concerns. A while ago I found pills that worked PERFECTLY and I never wanted to touch anything else. After switching insurances it seemed like my pharmacy was coming up with a new reason every month as to why I couldn’t get my pills. It was incredibly frustrating. I turned to this app and I haven’t had an issue since. I told them what I wanted and that I had been on it for years. They didn’t question me, just gave me what I needed. In the beginning there were a few hiccups with insurance (timing, generic versus name brand) but, after 2-3 cycles it leveled out and came consistently for free. No more tears and skipped pills. Worth. Every. Penny. Also, their customer service phone line is PHENOMENAL. If anything seems funky or confusing on the app just give them a call and they will be extremely kind and helpful.

No longer worth it. Nurx used to be super helpful when I first started using it. It was really quick and easy to get the medication to your door, especially when it’s really hard for me to see an in-person doctor due to my work schedule. However, they have stopped doing their job. I understand that they had a huge influx of customers due to all of the birth control/abortion issues going on, but if they do not have the resources to keep up with all of their patients, they should stop accepting patients. It used to be a live chat service for $60 annually(not including the price of the medication and a monthly shipping fee), but they have now stopped that feature so I’m lucky if someone responds in a week. I went two months without my migraine medication because they kept claiming they were putting the prescription through and then suddenly the pharmacy would have an issue, then the order got cancelled on Nurx’s side for whatever reason, and still Nurx just kept telling me the same thing over and over (that they would look into it which never happened until I threatened to cancel my membership). They do not care about the patients, they care about the money they get from the annual membership fee. If you need your medication consistently, Nurx is not going to help you.

Avoid at all costs. I am not one to usually write reviews, but my whole experience with Nurx has been so painful, I had to say something. Like others, I thought this was a great way to get my BC that would eliminate all the hassle of going through my doctor and pharmacy. Boy, was I wrong. At first, they were super helpful. They recommended a BC that I even wanted to try, and they sent it to me within 5 days of signing up. But then when I would have questions about coverage and protection, I would get mixed messages from different staff members, which was of course super frustrating. Finally, it came time to refill my RX and I couldn’t believe the nightmare that they created. I received a generic version of an already generic brand that I was prescribed, and I couldn’t even find it anywhere on the Internet. They claim that the brand they gave me was discontinued and that the pharmacy ran out of it, but I’ve never experienced this before when getting BC. Then, when I asked to go back on the more “name brand” BC, they said I needed a medical reason to do so. I gave them one, and they still wouldn’t put me back on the brand I requested. Sorry, but I’d like to have a say in the medicine that’s going into my body. Seriously save yourself a headache and avoid this company at all costs.

there’s cheaper options.. I lost my insurance in March of this year so I started looking for alternatives for birth control and quickly found nurx. The first month was fantastic, I thought it was amazing that I just clicked a few buttons and pills showed up in my box a few days later. Woo! The month after that the BS started. Packages getting lost, stuff coming to me THREE FULL MONTHS LATE. Customer support is extremely unhelpful and rude. I was bounced from USPS to nurx back and forth and neither one of them were helpful, neither one of them would take responsibility, but at least USPS was pleasant to deal with and apologized instead of antagonizing me for not asking the other service first. I have never had a package stolen, or lost in transport before nurx and I run a home business that relies on shipping internationally as well. Not once was a refund offered on Nurx’s part, just more unsent and missing packages month after month. It’s almost like they want people to get pregnant. I’m convinced this app is a pro-life anti-birth control conglomerate with an agenda to force low income women into unplanned pregnancies. Can’t believe nurx was this awful. They should all die.

Only b/c so far. I’ve only gotten b/c from them for one cycle now, but the initial intake and process was fairly quick and had my prescription within a few days after only having a few chats with and online provider in my state. I do hace insurance through f/t employment so the prescription is $0, the initial intake fee was $14 which I felt was totally reasonable since I’m sure they bill my insurance for much more, ha. I would give a full 5 star but I’ve found the text messages to be a bit unnecessary, and if it weren’t for the conversation with the docs via app notifying me via push notification; I would turn the texting off entirely. Maybe an option to select which kind of texts you want to receive? I recently put in a request to get my generic anxiety/depression med from them which was also formerly prescribed by gyn for pmdd; but it’s only been 12 hours since putting in intake request so wouldn’t feel fair to rate on that. Will update if needing to change the 5⭐️ but my guess is it’ll be just as smooth if a process to get that med as it was the b/c!

This is not convenient. I signed up for this because I thought it would be a faster alternative to setting an appointment with a dermatologist and getting an RX. Boy was I wrong. For starters, their advertising states you can use your insurance for a specific product they are advertising. When I inquired about billing my insurance, I was told that insurance wouldn’t cover it but I contacted my insurance and was told this would in fact be covered. It took over a week to get my RX issued but prior to that I had spoken to customer service via chat to let them know I would like my rx to be filled at my pharmacy rather than shipped because I had already waited a week to hear anything about my prescription. I was told to submit my pharmacy information so that they could send the rx to be filled there. I waited yet another week. When I finally got an update on the app, it stated my Rx was SHIPPED! I was very specific about having it filled at my pharmacy! I immediately sent a message asking to cancel and get a refund. It’s been a week and all I’ve gotten is an automated response. Overall it’s take. 3 weeks when I could have gotten this done in person with my doctor in less than half the time. Not to mention, my insurance would have paid for it. Very disappointed.

LOVE IT. I absolutely love the nurx app and cannot believe how easy it is to use. For someone without insurance nurx is a god sent for me. Not only is it very affordable but I feel very well taken care of and extremely heard by the doctors. They put a lot of work into finding what’s best for you and even allow you to directly chat with the physicians. They really listen to you and if something has been working for you for awhile they will give you exactly what you want and need. I even just started using the dermatology portion of nurx because I think they do such a great job and like I said, INCREDIBLY AFFORDABLE! It almost seemed too good to be true when I first started that when I had a package arrive a few days later I had no idea what it was until I opened it and found my birth control! It’s the best. Get this app. You won’t regret it. You’ll only regret not have getting it sooner. Also this is the first review I have ever written and it’s because it helped me so much!!!

Go to a real clinic. I was so excited about this app. I thought it would be a convenient way to get prep and avoid doctors visits. It was definitely convenient, but that came at a cost. There is NO transparency on pricing or cost until you’re already billed. First off, the home test kit. I have overall great health insurance with a pretty big network, and yet My lab tests were conducted by an out of network provider. There’s no option to find an in-network lab, you don’t get to choose or find an affordable lab. I was slapped with a $980 medical bill from the at home testing, when I know I could have EASILY gone to planned parenthood or a local clinic and gotten all these tests done for exponentially less money. Be weary of that. My prep also costs $75 per refill, even after my insurance. You’ll get a nice little message in NURX telling you that your total was 0.00 for the refill, but that’s because it’ll be on your medical bill instead. Just go to a real clinic instead. It might feel like more of a hassle and you might have an uncomfortable conversation with your doctor, but at the end of the day, doctors are there for your health and your conversations are confidential. I really wanted to love this app, but the lack of transparency on cost is a deal breaker for me.

LEARNED THE HARD WAY. I do not recommend this app to anyone unless u definitely and will continue to have the money to pay for monthly subscriptions of birth control pills. I had to find out the hard way that you are automatically subscribed to a monthly subscription and will automatically be charged every time they ship it to you. I was under the assumption that I could just buy one package for the month and that was it, maybe if I desired more the next month or if I wanted to actually subscribe to continuous shipments myself, I could just do that on my own within the app. A lot goes into the messaging system inside the app and it’s that immense communication that is very inconvenient at times. When you buy your first package, you are automatically given 3 packs of birth control without the option of just buying one...then there’s that risk that you don’t realize this and end up being charged for it in the end...you have to go and message them directly about changing pretty much anything about your order and have to wait however long it takes to get a reply back. The complete inefficiency of this app is what makes me too scared to continue using it....I’d rather just talk to my doctor about birth control because of the just much easier process...

It’s a scam. I was happy with my first order of 1 pack of birth control which was covered by my insurance and I had no issues. My second order is where things got really shady. They told me that my insurance wouldn’t cover my prescription so I would have to pay out of pocket. I called my insurance and asked why they weren’t covering it. They said that my prescription was covered and that they would cover a refill for the 1 pack but the problem was that Nurx requested a refill for a 2 pack which is not my prescription or what I was receiving from them. My prescription was for 1 pack and I was only getting 1 pack delivered so there was no reason they should have requested a 2 pack. I asked Nurx for a refund since my insurance did cover my medication but Nurx made a mistake when ordering it. The second story they made up why they charged me was because I had an “invalid ID or DOB”. That was just a lie because if that were true they wouldn’t have been able to bill my insurance for my first order. I asked them how they were able to get my first order if my ID was invalid and then they made up another story. This time they couldn’t bill the insurance because it “wasn’t selected as my preferred form of payment”. If that were true then why did they “try” to bill my insurance in the first place? I had to file a dispute with my bank and thankfully got my money back. Don’t fall for this scam like I did. They just make up lies so they can take your money!

Not awful, but not great. I decided to use Nurx because I didn’t have the time or money to go see a doctor for Birth Control. I’ve been doing this for nearly 2 years and it never fails- my 3 month prescription is always sent on the last 2-3 days of my current prescription so every time I get a new shipment, I end up having to go without a few days or even skip a week in order to keep my period on the same daily schedule (I prefer to start a new month on a Sunday). I moved since my last prescription and can’t find my final month anywhere so I requested a single month out of pocket 4 days ago... no response. Sent another message two days ago, no response. They advertise that they will get back to you in 48 hours but it’s been nearly a whole work week and I haven’t heard anything back. My period is going to be completely off wack this month and I’m going to have to deal with severe cramps and migraines before my new prescription ever comes in. If I end up having to take a day off of work then this entire thing was pointless. Would have been better off going to see a real doctor.

DO NOT USE FOR EMERGENCY CONTRACEPTION poor communication, constant. I had assumed that I would be able to get my morning after pill shipped to me asap, i was approved for it, i put in my payment information. I was wrong. Not only is the communication absolutely terrible it takes over a day to get a response but I’m now waiting for them to EVEN SHIP IT. I’ve been waiting 48 hours now. Had I known I wouldn’t be able to get it asap I would have gone to my local pharmacy and picked up the plan b (I didn’t want to use it because the weight limit is 155 and I’m 155) because for some reason they keep finding things to slow the process and have the slowest response time. What I have been approved for, paid for, I’m still waiting for it to even ship meanwhile, this is a very time sensitive medication. I’m completely distraught. There’s no way to call anyone either. I’ll never recommend them to anyone for anything again. This is life altering what they’re in charge of. I could only use this to write a review, can’t even write a normal one about the company, Had to go to the app.

Awesome service! Very satisfied.. In case you’re in doubt, don’t be! This service is awesome. Normally I get my birth control prescription through Planned Parenthood but I end up having to take the time out of my schedule and pay the fee to get my script refilled once a year which is honestly a waste of time for me since nothing really changes since I’m married, and if I did have any concerns I could ask about them at my yearly gyno appointment. This app was really easy to use and they offer tons of birth control options. If they have the exact name brand you’re currently using you can google other names your formula is listed under and they will have one of them at least. Response was super prompt and I even had a few follow up questions which were answered within the hour. Bonus; my pills are $8 cheaper than I have been paying for the last couple of years.

Great so far!. I’ve used Nurx only for a little bit and so far it’s a smooth experience. I did the mental health assessment and my provider reached out pretty quickly. I appreciate them asking further questions rather than going off just the assessment to determine my treatment. I feel like i’m being cared for even though we’re not face to face. Hers was the other company i tried and i had a painless experience as well, however my provider for them didn’t ask me more questions. They prescribed me medication solely based on their assessment. And they haven’t reached out to make sure the meds are working. There is a small glitch through the app though. Whenever i send a message to my provider, it cuts off the last part of my sentence. And sometimes when i continue typing in the speech bubble, it doesn’t follow the cursor so i can’t see what i’m typing next.

Don’t waste you time. I’ve attempted to renew my PREP Prescription for almost a month now. The process provided by NURX sounds great on port, but so far it’s a nightmare. I wish I read reviews prior to starting the process. This service would be great if they k ew what they were doing. The timeline is drawn out, the customer service doesn’t respond to messages. It’s saved me no time, just wasted it. All this waiting, my prescription has run out. I started the process 28 days ago and still haven’t even received my test results which were sent back to the lab 14 days ago. Is this app and service in beta, because it sure feels like it. Don’t use NURX, stick with your traditional doctor. After all this I’m going back to my doc to get tested and have him renew my script. What a giant waste of my time. And developers you telling people to call your customer service number is ridiculous. Don’t you think we all have been trying to get assistance? I know I have and I’ve been waiting for a simple response for 72 hours. Y’all are a scam, taking money and insurance funds and no delivering shame on you.

AMAZING. I have always been weird about going to a doctor for birth control when I found out about Nurx, I thought it was too good to be true so I did some research to make sure it was legit. After realizing it was I decided to sign up. It was so simple. You answer a few simple questions and they pair you with the right birth control. I sent in all my information and within less than 12 hours they had responded saying my birth control was on the way and it was delivered 2 days later. They're very informative and very easy to understand. I have nothing but great things to say about them and have been raving to my friends ever since. If they offer it in your state you need to try this! I can definitely see them becoming very popular in the next few years and expanding to every state! Everybody on the site is so friendly and I will be sticking with them

Amazing. This is so convenient. I never miss a day of my bc because the pharmacy was closed or out. I get three pack of bc every three months and I am set. There is always someone available to talk to or chat with if I have any questions or concerns, and I feel like they take my health very seriously. I feel safe and cared for. They offer no many services and they are all very low cost! With my insurance I just pay $15 for a yearly consultation to make sure I’m still on the right track, after that I don’t even pay for the shipping. I have been on this program for years now and I have never had a single issue or complaint, nor have I gotten pregnant lol! I recommend this to every person I meet ! It has so many great offers that anyone could benefit from looking into it. 1 million out of ten stars.

Still Waiting…. Not sure why Nurx has ads all over the place when they don’t seem to have the capacity to handle the business they have. I was mostly familiar with Nurx for bc, but noticed they also offer mental health meds. My psychiatrist recently closed her local office so now her only office is in downtown Chicago, which is 1.5 hours away from me. So I thought now might be a good time to give Nurx a try for my mental health medication. I filled out the online assessment and downloaded the app. After submitting, a message appears saying they will review it and be in touch, but that due to an exceptionally high volume of requests, there may be a delay. Ok-what kind of delay? 2 days? A week? It doesn’t give you any time frame whatsoever. And ten days later I still have not heard a word, except to receive emails with additional advertising for other services they offer. Why would I try any other medication services when I can’t even get the one I signed up for? If you don’t have the staff to handle a service, maybe don’t offer it?

Absolutely Horrible - Waste of time & lack of actual support. I had really hoped this app would provide a safe, easy way to fill my prescriptions but instead has been a huge waste of time, effort and money and I’m still stuck where I was at over a month ago when I started. There is no phone number or other means by which to communicate with the company other than the message function within the app. Responses can take days and everything is mailed to/from the labs and pharmacies via USPS (not an expedited carrier) which took up to a week to arrive (then you have to wait through the weekend before you can start counting the days to a response). On top of everything, the lab is out of network for my insurance (a major carrier) and the entire thing was going to cost considerably more than it was advertised at the beginning. Unless you have over a month to wait for the process, I would suggest you look elsewhere. The concept here is great but it seems as though the execution is lacking, especially in terms of the app and any support/questions.

Caring customer service. I am giving this app five stars because of how awesome my contact with the doctors/people who work there was. The app itself is glitchy, but the website works just fine. Anyway, when I did the initial questionnaire, they very quickly responded that I could not take normal BC because I have migraines with an aura. They recommended a few things, one being a progestin only pill. I decided to go with that and use my insurance to pay for it. There was an issue with my insurance at first that they were very helpful with fixing. One of the people I was in contact with even called my insurance after they didn’t respond for almost a week. I really appreciate that they did all of that to help. It’s weird doing things like this online because it feels impersonal, but they did seem to care about my wellbeing as best as they can through the internet. Overall it has been a great experience.

Doctors with no Credentials. I had a fine time when I first started Nurx. However the last time I went to get my prescription, the pharmacist informed me the doctor who prescribed it had no credentials to be found. I was refused my prescription and had to make emergency plans to have it represcribed. When I messaged Nurx about it, they seemed to not care less. They glossed over it, and told me that I was prescribed by a board certified physician. That may have been previously true, but with it not being the same doctor each time, it’s not perfect. My pharmacist would have had no reason to raise an eyebrow if the doctor was properly credentialed. He knew before I said anything thay it was a telehealth service because apparently this isn’t all that uncommon. I was disappointed when I brought up this issue and Nurx didn’t care at all about my frustration. If the dissipated trust with Nurx wasn’t enough to turn me away, the lack of empathy certainly is. Health care is private and sensitive, it should not be taken lightly. Their lack of concern with the accusation is terrifying to me.

i LOVE this service. this app is so convenient and easy to use! i was able to go in knowing what i wanted but they have options and information for those who don’t as well. the shipping is always so fast and i never have to worry about stopping by the pharmacy around my work/life hours. they also were able to give me a prescription that skips the inactive pills in the birth control pack just like i wanted and i always have a new pack waiting for me before i’m out or even on my last pills of my current one! everything is so much easier and more convenient and the representatives that respond to the chats through the app are so helpful. i made a dumb mistake and realized on my last week of active pills i had accidentally lost my upcoming pack, i wrote to them explaining this and i had a brand new one sent to me by the end of the week! definitely something i wish i had tried sooner ❤️

WILL CHARGE YOU WITHOUT PERMISSION. If I could rate this company negative stars I would. All as going great until I asked for a change in a prescription. Nurx is supposed to get your permission for any charges - they had the initial permission but when I did the update to my ongoing prescription I asked what it would be for my insurance. I was assured that they would let me know in a few days what it would be and they don’t charge you without permission if it’s over $30. Well within a few hours, on a weekend, they failed on so many levels. They never communicated the updates to the prescription or what I’d be charge. Come to find out that they didn’t even get approval from my insurance and charged my card on file $82. I reached out and after a few days (they are VERY slow to respond) they finally got back to me saying they escalated my refund request and I’d get it in 5-10 business days. Well I’m on day 16 and still no refund. I’ve reached out SEVERAL times with no resolution. If you’re okay with being charged any amount without ANY notice of the amount or when or if your insurance will cover then this is the company for you.

used to love Nurx but their customer service has declined immensely…. I’ve been with Nurx for maybe 2 years now. When I started I absolutely loved it. Everything was done over the phone and I would usually get a response within 24-48 hours. Nowadays when you ask a simple question, which can usually be answered with a simple yes or no, you will be sent an automated response. This usually saying something along the lines of how they’ve had an increased volume of inquires etc. it typically takes 2-3 weeks for me to even get a response. No matter how long you’ve been using this company or how urgent your question is if you’re not a new patient expect to be put on the back burner. Also if you’re using them for birth control they tend to not send the medication out until the day you need to be using it. It’s super inconvenient and you can forget about asking any questions. I understand the increase in telehealth but with more customers should also come better customer service…. Not worse. So unless you have no other option I would advice to steer clear and use a different provider.

Good idea, bad execution. If this worked well, I would love it. Unfortunately, there are a myriad of issues: It’s hard to understand the status of the orders or to pause/delay shipments. Response time is slow. The communication over the app doesn’t appear to be saved in my profile or settings. For example, I asked for a pause on an acne medicine months ago, yet it continued to regularly process orders for the medication after the pause had been confirmed, requiring me to monitor and reach out again and again, despite assurance from my ‘team’ that the medication was paused until I requested it . After following up on this medication pause for the third or fourth time, now the app paused all my medications, including a birth control that had been preparing to ship. I missed that the shipment never processed (because I have a life and can’t monitor this app constantly), which I unfortunately didn’t realize until I needed it. So now I’m in a tough place and really wish I’d stuck with a doctor for Rx. I’d advise trying another app or just going to the doctor- in my experience, it’s less effort than this app.

Lack of Timely Filling & a Poor Business Structure. NURX has deeply disappointed me. I had a subscription for birth control and it has been over a month since my prescription was scheduled to be mailed out and it has still not been sent out. I rely on birth control for a few reasons, but most importantly to avoid pregnancy. When I send a message to check on the status of my order I do not receive a response until 48+ hours later. The always “apologize” for the delayed response, yet they do nothing to solve the problem. A professional business structure would hire more employees as the demand arises and they have showed me time and time again that they are not capable, nor care, about the health of their patients. I wish I could submit a review with zero stars, but I’m required to select at least one star. I wouldn’t recommend this resource, or lack there of, to my greatest enemy if I had one. I pray that other people that rely on this service receive better care than I have, otherwise I worry for the future of the children that are born from an unwanted pregnancy.

Good concept but not enough support. I had an emergency and was in need of emergency contraceptives. I reached out and it was so simple to go through the questionnaire and they even said they would send the prescription right away to my pharmacy of choice. They did, but the pharmacy never received it. I messaged many times and called once. I waited 30 minutes to speak to someone, who only told me I had to wait for them to respond to me through the messages on the app. I never got an answer as to how that happened and why I didn’t hear back to my four messages for a whole 24 hours. When you’re trying to get the morning after pill, you can’t just wait a whole day. It defeats the purpose. I was so disappointed in their service (or lack thereof). I cancelled the entire thing but they still left with the $15 fee for taking the questionnaire and got nothing in return except stress and frustration. Would not recommend until they employ many more people to their customer support. Go to Planned Parenthood or your women’s health doctor. You’ll have a better experience.

Horrible Communication Skills. Originally I was so excited that finally there was an app for this kind of thing. I went through placing my order and talking to one of the agents through the app’s messaging and everything seemed great but I realized I wouldn’t have the money for another week so I asked the agent if she could postpone the order for me until later in the week and she told me to just let her know when I was ready to purchase it and she would put the order in. I ended up seeing an AD for The Pill Club and when I looked into it I saw they would only charge me $15 for a 3 month supply instead of $30 for a 2 month supply like I was originally gonna do so deciding to go with that one I deleted the nurx app. WELL, I get a text saying the agent has messaged me on the app so I redownload it to tell her I changed my mind only to find that the message awaiting me was letting me know that MY ORDER WAS ON ITS WAY AND MY CARD WAS CHARGED!!! I’m so disappointed with this app and if anyone else is go to The Pill Club. They’re so informative and know how to communicate with you through texting unlike Nurx.

If I could give this app -5 stars I would. Terrible and I mean terrible customer service they steal your money and you don’t get your prescription I wouldn’t recommend this app to my worst enemy this is the worst telehealth app on the market. Customer service does not reply to you I’ve been trying to get an issue resolved for 5 days and they are obviously incapable of that this app should be took down. They said they would send my prescription to my local pharmacy and then still charged me to have it shipped to me I mean how dumb can you be. Then they never said a word to me after that and I have made over 10 attempts to get my issue resolved I recommend k health because they are only 15 a month and they actually reply to you and will send your prescription where they say they will.

Frustrated. I signed up for this app maybe 2 weeks ago. Initially everything was fine and responsive. I paid $100+ for the birth control and testing kit. The first thing it told me for the testing kit was that it would need my blood pressure but if I couldn’t get it due to COVID-19 then that was okay. However I went to check because I kept getting notifications that I couldn’t get the test without my BP. I went to my local CVS and the area was closed off. I notified them and it took them a 4-5 days to get back to me. Mind you I ordered the birth control and test at the exact same time. It said that my birth control prescription was being reviewed by a doctor which took 2 weeks and when it got approved I got a email telling me to go to the app to approve everything in my messages. I go to my messages in the app and there’s nothing regarding my prescription except that it was still being reviewed. There’s not even a help button I’m the app and if you try to get help through messages they don’t answer. I don’t know what to do at this point. I want my money back and I’m very frustrated.

Fast and convenient!. I needed to find a new way to get birth control QUICK because I had expired my time being on depo provera. I needed a way to get on the pill without using insurance or my parents finding out. Using Nurx was so easy!! I wanted a pill that was progestin only and also allowed me to have my period. The whole process of communicating my preferences and my pills shipping took 7 days which is what they tell you it may take. The responses took a few days inbetween but considering what is happening rn it is totally understandable and waiting 7 days was no biggey. I did research on the type and brand I was prescribed and it is all legit. My doctor even told me about how to take the pill at first, what to expect, and side effects. For $15 a month totally worth it. I haven’t received my pills because they shipped today but I will update if problems arise. For now, very satisfied.

Need help, Nurx is there for you!. I have struggled with oral cold sores/ gential sores off and on since 2018. Finding this subscription app has helped my life so much. The medication they send me works wonders, everything is fast and simple (“idiot-proof” I like to call it), and it truly is overall an amazing service to the public in my opinion. I would refer anyone suffering with herpes to this app. But the best part is that they have tons of other help that I know it’s fantastic too! like acne medicine, birth control, and many others… * I once needed to cancel my subscription for a time and although that part was a little tricky because it HAS to be done over the phone *, the customer service rep was VERY kind courteous and helpful. Overall 10/10 experience with Nurx. I love it so much and I truly don’t know what I would do without it. Thank you Nurx and it was such a pleasure writing this review

The best service ever!. I love Nurx! It’s amazing and I can get my prescription whenever I need it to my door. I have unlimited access to my medical team and they always check once in a while to make sure my blood pressure is well with my medication I’m taking. Now they provide about 3 month’s worth of medication which is also nice! I don’t need to go in for an appointment just to get my prescription that I need. I love that! They respect us and that means a lot to me! I’d definitely recommend this service to all who need birth control and are conscious of their health and wants to be able to take care of themselves if they feel more comfortable doing that. I hope they continue doing what they do because we need and appreciate this service so much! I don’t know what I’d do without it! Thank you, Nurx, for your service!

Love Nurx & their app!. I’ve been a nurx customer for about 6 or 7 years to receive birth control and I love them! They have really great customer service with quick response times, kind physicians, and multiple updates when you’re going to be charged, when you’re been charged, and when your order has shipped. Their app has also improved a ton over the last few years and it’s incredibly easy to use and navigate and makes the process even more convenient and smooth! I also started using their mental health services as well as my health insurance has terrible mental health coverage and I’ve been really enjoying it and it’s still extremely affordable even though I’m paying completely out of pocket! Thank you for being such a life saver, nurx!!

This is the best app I’ve ever used. Seriously. I have a specific face medicine that I’ve been prescribed since I was 14 to help with acne and melasma that costs fought $850 without insurance. And of course, I’ve been consistently without insurance since I left my parents home and have not been able to afford this like I would like. I was driving across the border to get off brands that still weren’t close that is until I found this app. The doctors were able to prescribe it for me and with the coupon codes, I got it for under $100. I have messaged with someone almost every day and been helped. Everyone is friendly, it’s almost like what I wish our medicinal and pharmaceutical industries were like in a perfect world. Seriously, this is a life changing app and I have told everyone about it. It’s that good. And I hope they continue to grow. Thank you NURX!!!!

Beware Medicaid users!. So I wanted to make a review to let people know that if you’ve a closed network insurance you will not be accepted. However when I saw that I would owe $105 for 3 packs of Avanie I started freaking out but the staff were ultra friendly. However they were able to fix my account for $15 a month for one pack of Avanie. All you’ve to do is discuss you want one pack of Avanie and not 3 packs of Avanie. So if you see a huge amount like I did ask your specialist to have one pack sent to you and not a 3 month pack. I checked my credit card and I had $15 taken out and not $105. Also you will have to pay a $12 fee for texting the medical specialist but that’s only a year. This place is safe and scam free thanks Nurx for helping me! Also don’t be scared once you see a huge price tag the medical staff can help you. All you’ve to do is tell them what I did and you will be okay!

Do NOT rely on NURX. I've been using this program for over a year but NURX has destroyed what was a wonderful system. It was “the pill club” “favor” back to “the pill club” and most recently “Nurx”. I had a prescription for a 90-day supply of birth control pills. Refilled every three months which allowed me to skip my period altogether. Absolutely loved it! At first. Consistent deliveries, insurance covered everything, no waiting at the doctor's office. They would even send some little freebies chocolate, plan b, condoms. Whenever there has been a name change insurance had to be reverified and delays were common. Annoying but I still received my RX in a reasonable time so my period wouldn't come back with a vengeance. But NOT WITH NURX. I have corresponded with them about once every two weeks, and it has now been three months...my insurance is still “under review” and they have yet to give me an ETA of when my RX would arrive. I have moved on to “PPdirect”. I have to pay out of pocket in order to get my exact RX as soon as possible. They respond within one business day and I’m no longer on a wild goose chase that is NURX.

Terrible - DO NOT USE!!. I’ve had nothing but headaches since trying to get a prescription and I’m convinced this is either EXTREMELY poorly run or a scam. Number one - it’s NOT $5. The lowest medication I found was supposed to be $33, then they raised it to $45. There are endless problems when processing your order at their “pharmacy” and now they just switched my medication without asking and are asking me to approve a charge for what must be the tenth time. There’s also the $30 “pre-authorization” charge on my card that was never mentioned. They claim there’s a “Checkout” page but this doesn’t exist. You never get to see your order or what you are supposedly paying for. I DO NOT recommend using this service or giving this company your personal information. They ask for your driver’s license, insurance card, and a bunch of other stuff. The positive reviews are almost definitely fake because there is a huge list of problems from customers on their Better Business Bureau page - which I should have checked before I tried to place an order. I’m reporting them to the BBB and I deeply regret trusting this app!

Good and bad. First the bad. I thought with this app/service we would have access to a doctor to answer questions and provide recommendations. I’ve sent a message using the message feature on the app, about whether or not it would be safe for me to skip the placebo week so that I won’t have a monthly period and they have ignored my message. The good thing is, it’s easy to get birth control, mine is free through my insurance & it’s great being able to receive 3 months worth at a time through the mail. The downside to that is that they will change the brand without notice, I was on Microgestin fe 1/20 for the first 3 months and now they just sent me Junel fe 1/20 which has the same active ingredients. This is on me though because at the end of the 2nd pack of Microgestin, I started experiencing bad nausea and put off contacting the Dr through Nurx to see about switching to something else & before I knew it they had already refilled my prescription with Junel which is the same as Microgestin. I am really disappointed Over the inability to get questions answered in a timely manner and will probably discontinue using this app.

Best thing EVER. I never even write reviews for apps, but I figured since this is truly the best thing I have found on the app store for women's health(besides other period apps). I started seeing a obgyn about 4 months ago for the extremely painful periods that I get every month. Though I told the doctor I wanted to try bc to see if it would help, she never returned my calls when I asked for her recommendations and took forever to schedule an appointment for me. So when I saw the advertisements for this on various social media I was thrilled! Not only is this app completely legitimate, but they also provide knowledgeable information about the pill you are prescribed as well as answering any question you may have. Even if the form of bc I am prescribed doesn't relieve my symptoms, I will still be using Nurx to try out other options of bc due to their caring nature and amazing doctors/staff. Keep up the good work Nurx!!!

Nurx really disappointed me. I’ve been using NURX for a bit over a year now, but since my year subscription has expired i had to pay for the another year and i realized that they raised up a price and added some extra shady fees for each refill which is ridiculous. Seems like they just trying to fill out their pockets. Plus they removed the option to adjust the refill date in the app and they would send the refills too late and there are delays in usps as well and i would have to take my pill days later then i was supposed to, and the birth control pills are really time sensitive ! The agent won’t understand me and just puts my refills on hold for no reasons after i ask how can i adjust my refill date, and also told me that they can only delay medication for a maximum of up to 45 days, but i don’t need a delay, i need to move a date for the earlier one! The NURX WORKED BETTER BEFORE

I miss the pill club :(. I want to love this but so far I can’t. They used to be the pill club and I never had a problem back then but now I have nothing but problems. First they took over 2 weeks to process my prescription, and id gotten new insurance in that time so I had to resubmit my insurance card, and didn’t wanna wait another 2 weeks for that to process because I’m already on my last week of birth control before my off week, so i just restarted my subscription and I’m praying they will process it faster so i don’t have to wait too long between starting packs again. Overall the app is easy to use but they charge a lot ($25 for the co pay) and even more if you want anything besides birth control. Overall disappointing and I wish the pill club never switched. Don’t try to fix something that’s not broken. Was so much better before but the 3 stars is for the app functionality

Used to be good…. I’ll give them two stars. They used to be a great company. Quick responses, reliable to get medication from (I was on the shot), and had no issues. Now all of a sudden, issues. I had two refills left. Twice I attempted to refill the medication through my local pharmacy as I’ve done for the past nine months as I’m due Friday for my next shot. I get a call from my pharmacy. Apparently the doctor isn’t responding to their calls and doesn’t work with my insurance anymore. I’m sorry, what? So I message Nurx. It’s been 48 hours now with one email stating there’s a large influx of messages and it’s taking longer than normal to hear back. How can I rely on a company to get things situated when zero communication is being listened to. You’re dealing with medication that’s time sensitive. I’d assume they’d either have more hired or being more proactive about the communication. Thank god for my local obgyn office getting me situated tomorrow, but I’m moving on to another company.

It can work, but has serious flaws. I do not recommend Nurx if you have any sort of complications. Nurx processes ordinary requests ok, but it fails when there is need for any sort of customer-specific attention. I can’t imagine having to reach out to Nurx bc a brand caused side effects or didn’t work. It is also impossible to check beforehand if they’ll take your insurance - you’d have to wait about a week before you find out if everything is good to go. Even when it’s a cut and dry case, service can be cumbersome and unreliable. It took me going through 3 different reps until one gave me a clear answer of “Sorry, your insurance doesn’t cover BC with our service.” People with Medicaid beware: not all plans will cover the cost of BC if delivered with Nurx. I HIGHLY recommend Nurx improves their workflows and/or hires for more customer support, so they can improve response times. Rather than teaching your reps flowery language, just teach them to deliver info in a clear concise and empathetic manner.

No issues. There are a lot of mixed reviews on here so I though I’d share my personal experience. I have had no major issues since using NURX. It took about one week for my prescription to ship after signing up for the app. The only problem I ran into was with the messaging portion of the app. A different person answers me every time so I often found myself having to repeat the same thing and some of my requests were getting missed. For example, I told 3 different people I wanted my prescription sent to my local pharmacy instead of shipped directly to me (i just figured in the long run this would eliminate any issues with getting my prescription on time) they all told me that would be fine and once the doctor was done with the done with the prescription it would be sent there. Well that didn’t happen, it still went though their pharmacy. Hopefully there are no issues with this, I guess we will see.

Unreliable and Difficult. I have never had a worse experience getting birth control than with Nurx. My account was transferred from The Pill Club to Nurx when The Pill Club shut down. From day one, it was issue after issue with Nurx. I tried working with them time and time again but they constantly ran me around in circles. Not only that, but it took them multiple days to respond to any message I would send. Finally, they told me that they filled my prescription and that I would receive a shipping notification in 2-3 days. I never received that, so I reached out to them asking about it, and they completely ghosted me. They took my money and stopped responding completely. This is so unacceptable when they are claiming to provide such an essential service. There are so many other options, so please choose a more reliable and trustworthy source than Nurx. Please, please, please use a different service. How Nurx treats their customers is entirely unacceptable. It’s a scam and fraudulent from start to finish.

It’s real!. I thought this was wayyy to good to be true! A friend told me about this app -which is the ONLY reason I tried it. Everything is 100% legit it came faster than expected and I got a 3 months supply which is super nice! With my insurance it was completely free even shipping! Definitely recommend this!! I read several of the reviews on this app and feel the need to say I don’t have any types of health issues and was not a difficult customer at all (not saying that the people reviewing this app poorly are difficult) but i had a great experience with customer service was contacted back within the hour and my order was processed quickly probably bc I went with the first suggestion that popped up as a result of my answered questions. I have zero complaints the convenience of this app is wonderful especially since I work full time and have a hard time getting time off to go to the dr

No answers on serious side effects. I was prescribed Yaz by this app and was excited to try it however I ended up having a terrible reaction to the birth control. It caused serious depressive episodes after one week of taking it. I haven’t ever been this depressed, I became catatonic and was stuck in bed for two days and I was scared: I reached out through the messenger to try and get in touch with my doctor or the app to see if this was normal or what to do. I reached out a few times with no response. I stopped taking the meds and my mental health is back to normal and I feel great. I ended up talking to my old primary care doctor (who is out of state since I moved recently which is why I turned to Nurx in the first place) since I couldn’t reach anyone at the app and he told me that the hormones in yaz must be affecting my serotonin levels. I reached out again about cancelling my order and no response. I’m going to call today to try and cancel again. I am most upset because I was having serious side affect issues and had no feedback from the doctors. That’s a terrifying place to be at, and I don’t trust this app any more to handle my health.

Finally, an easy way to get medication. I absolutely love Nurx- while I recognize it isn’t for everyone, it has made my life so much easier. For years, getting refills of the birth control has been annoying, from having to go in for a physical appointment each time I needed a renewal, to getting fat shamed at my appointments, to having issues with pharmacies. And I’ve been taking the exact same birth control for over 10 years with no side effects! Nurx has removed so much stress and guesswork when it comes to getting medications I need to take every day. I initially used them for birth control, but now I rely on them to get antidepressants too, and honestly I cannot thank them enough. Worth every penny I pay for medical consults to make sure I’m never out of medication I need to function.

Horrible Experience. I finally used this app because it was convenient. Worst mistake ever and I’m not one to complain. I’ve been very busy and haven’t been able to make a doctors appointment. So I thought this was a good option. I completed all the info and was told upon submitting my order . With insurance everything was completely covered $0 charge , I had no out of pocket fees. Which was great so I waited for 4-5 days while my medication were under review. When notified that my medication was being processed they charged my card $48. Which was a surprise to me. Because my insurance covers birth control I’ve never paid since having it. So, I reached out to try to get some understanding. Nobody would respond to me and when I did get a response it was a automatic response. Telling me my medication was being shipped. I called several times and remained on hold every time and once for a hour until evidently I hung up. I don’t understand how something to go from being free when being submit , then me being $48 dollars without asking permission to see if it was okay to charge that.

SCAM. PLEASE DO NOT USE. This app has to be full of FAKE reviews. Because this company is absolutely CRIMINAL. They will save your credit card information and continue to charge you for things you DO NOT need. The audacity of a company to save your credit card number and not give the customer a way to cancel the payment method should be a CRIME. They also give you NO WAY to cancel the prescription yourself either. You HAVE to do it over the phone, and good luck getting someone to EVER answer. They will ignore your messages and still not pick up the phone after the customer service number rings for 20 minutes. This entire company is a scam to over charge their customers. And they get away with it because anything healthcare related cannot be returned. So once they say something has “shipped”, that means the charge is yours no matter how many times you said you don’t need it. Please. Please, do not trust this company. Unless you want to light your money on fire basically. I pray someone finally investigates them for the fraudulent scam they are.

Great Concept, execution could be better. I’ve been using Nurx since the beginning of the pandemic when I couldn’t get in to see my ob/gyn. My first year and half no issues. But once the Roe v. Wade and abortion bans started and people switched over to online pharmacies in panic they just couldn’t keep up with the demand. It took over a month of back and forth messages until I got what I needed and even then I had to call to speak to an actual human because the people responding in the thread weren’t actually reading my request fully, or explaining what they were doing. They wrote me a script for the wrong medication. Every message I sent it took them days to weeks to respond. Save yourself the time and call them if you need help! The young woman who answered my call at their partner pharmacy got everything fixed for me in less than 2 minutes (after going back and forth in the chat for weeks)

So frustrating. I went to Nurx specifically for a brand of birth control I had heard good things about. I stated that I didn’t want to be on any pill, and that I had bad experiences with the pills in the past. I specifically mentioned the brand that I wanted to try. Instead they sent me one recommendation that was ridiculously expensive. They said they couldn’t work with my insurance. I rejected the first recommendation and they suggested another pill form with an even higher dose of hormones, but it was cheaper. I don’t know why I didn’t say no right then and there. I tried the brand they recommended, hated it, and tried to cancel my prescription. I just got charged $45 for a pill I haven’t taken in over 2 months. This whole experience has been so frustrating and I haven’t been able to get in contact with a real person. I ended up using The Pill Club, got the birth control I wanted originally, they worked with my insurance, and my package (with treats and samples) was delivered within 3 days. If you’re looking for an online subscription service, I would recommend either The Pill Club or Lemonaid.

Waste of time and $$. I hesitate to write negative reviews, but this app completely took advantage of me while I was in a sensitive situation. I have tried to rectify the situation by calling and using the messaging feature and I have been brushed aside. They advertise discrete and less expensive experience, especially for those without insurance. I was humiliated in a Walgreens and paid $15 for an unnecessary prescription. I used the app to order emergency contraceptive, they advertised $20 pill plus $15 referral fee, $15 less than the over the counter option ($50 in MA). Little did I know, if you don’t have insurance, you just pay the pharmacy price regardless. The order wasn’t called in by the time I reached the pharmacy, even after I called both Nurx to confirm it would be waiting. It was not. Long story short, I left the pharmacy in tears, without the pill, after it was waved in front of a long line of waiting customers. I’m completely disappointed in this app. Will never be using it again and am still trying to get a refund for $15 referral, which saved me no money and only made my life more difficult.

Don’t trust this company. You do not want this company having your credit card info. They make random charges to my card of varying amounts and I no longer even have a prescription with them. The last time I did order from them, they decided to send me 3 packs of birth control instead of one and charge me triple in one go (Almost $50!) without any explanation and without informing me first. I contacted them immediately, DAYS before it shipped, and told them their mistake and to cancel the order. They conveniently waited to respond until immediately after it shipped (DAYS later) and told me they can’t refund me since they just shipped it (even though I contacted them way in advance). Extremely unprofessional, shady and low. Currently disputing a new random charge with them as we speak. I don’t expect to hear back anytime soon since they can’t get it together. Just terrible. Save yourself the headache. Get what you need from anyone but these guys. The one star reviews are growing in number for a reason.

AWFUL BEWARE. I normally do not write reviews but I had to for this. Over a month ago I was prescribed a few acne medications and birth control through Nurx. My order was finally placed after a week of going back and forth, which was the first red flag. Then it said pending for a couple days and then suddenly changed to canceled. No explanation, no nothing. I immediately contacted them to fix this and that I didn’t cancel the order. They responded within a few days and I thought the problem was fixed, but nope. Then it was pending for over 2 weeks and even processing at the pharmacy. I’ve sent multiple messages a day over the last few weeks and heard nothing. No responses. I tried calling yesterday was on hold for 1 1/2 hours. I never was able to speak to someone. Then I got off the phone and my order was canceled AGAIN. This company is a total scam. Please be ware. I used a different Telehealth service and got my prescriptions within an hour. I just hope I don’t get charged anymore. This was such a burden when I really needed my prescriptions and did not have time to go in person to a new doctor. Such a waste.

Scam. This company is a scam. Please do not use this service. Starting in January my prescription was cancelled with no warning after waiting almost a week to hear back from someone by chat (the phone number does not work), I was told that my insurance wouldn’t cover it being shipped anymore but they could sent it to a local pharmacy. Done everything went fine until an unauthorized charge showed up on my credit card. I contacted them and again waited a week for a reply. They said they would charge me a fee every month. I was never told nor never agreed to this, I paid a cocnsultantion fee when first signing up and had been using it for around 6 months without issue before this. On March 10 I finally got my money back and I asked that my information including credit card information be removed. I have a message confirming my card information was removed and yet on April 24 my card was charged again. This is a scam, save yourself the time and do not sign up. Look up BBB reports and check social media for more proof.

The BEST app for your bc needs. This is by far the best most helpful app EVER. I’ve never written a review for an app or even considered it before now. The app is really easy to use. I just filled out a questionnaire, put in my insurance, and they set me up with the right BCP. it was all totally free for me, and it sends the pills straight to my door in advance so i know i have more than enough packs to last me. Whenever i have questions, they get back to me in a timely, friendly, non-judgmental manner. I feel 100% safe and confident in this service and i know I’m totally protected and taken care of, which is a fantastic feeling to have regarding my reproductive health. This is absolutely a refreshing service to have access to, and considering the climate for women’s reproductive rights in America right now, I’m more than grateful for the Nurx team making sure that women are taken care of.

ABSOLUTELY NEGLIGENT.. Please stay far away from this company!! I signed up about a month ago, thinking I would be able to conveniently order PreP but boy was I wrong. The process was easy at first until when it came down to order my labs, I had not heard back from anyone for over two weeks. I messaged them every day and got absolutely no response. I finally got a response from someone in their care team apologizing saying they would personally look after my order throughout the preapproval process, but that person after that 1 single message completely disappeared like the rest of them. Please do yourself a favor and do not trust your healthcare to the random people who enter the “chat” on their app. They are extremely negligent in responding to messages and to this day I have 6 messages that have gone unresponded and no longer even want to trust this company with my personal healthcare. I would not recommend this app and am now filing a consumer fraud complaint with the attorney general as I have serious allegations that this is a complete scam. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
