Beautiful app... poor user experience. This app is beautiful! So beautiful that I instantly purchased it from the App Store because of how good it looks. The design, however, really only runs surface-deep, and opens the way for numerous UX issues. The app itself relies heavily on gestures and iconography, which by themselves are fine, but cause way-finding issues when the entire app-experience centers around them. The icons are heavily stylized, and even the “checkboxes” in the settings screen (if you can find it because of the confusing icon) make it hard to tell if the setting is enabled or not. There is also very little descriptive copy for most of the settings, so you don’t really know exactly what enabling/disabling a setting will do. Like I said though, this app really is easy on the eyes. If the developers address some of these usability issues, I’m sure this would replace my go-to podcast app, Pocket Casts.

Very good product. Would actually have given it 5 stars if ironically it had not asked me to rate it every time I fired it up. Little annoying. UI is great. Search and bookmarking is remarkably easy. Very good product.

Good, almost great. Agora is one of the most enjoyable podcast apps I’ve used. It makes allowances for an eclectic approach to listening to and archiving podcasts, and it’s abundantly colorful which few apps dare to be. For the time being, I will not continue using it, however. The lack of a full screen player just feels... uncomfortable, for some reason, and it doesn’t have silence trimming or volume adjustment filters like similarly priced podcast apps tout. Moreso, the lack of an Apple CarPlay app makes the decision for me. I don’t know how much of that is a decision on the developer’s part or Apple’s part, so I don’t fault them for not having a CarPlay app. While I won’t be using the app, I’ll keep it on my phone and watch update notes to see how it progresses and ideally I would love to switch to it if it ever receives an update with a CarPlay app. Its beauty outweighs its missing features, and CarPlay is the deciding factor for me.

Fantastic design, needs a bit more. What a great idea. One of the most beautiful apps I’ve ever used. It’s already so far along, even in its infancy. All I ask is for better download management- that is, downloaded indicators, download buttons, flexible cache sizes, etc. Right now, it’s impossible to know whether any episode is/isn’t downloaded, and with data limits, this is a deterrent. Thank you so much for this app!

Great Start!. Loving the gorgeous animations and the flow of using the app! One improvement area would be the quality of the audio engine at faster speeds, especially 1.5x+ does not sound great. Really the only area that needs work!

It will not pick up where I left off. This app is amazing and I love listening to podcasts on it. Intuitive, features packed and beautiful. However, for some reason it will not pick up where I left off when I leave the app for more than one hour. If I’m playing an episode and I’m at 18:45 playtime, when I open the app later the same video is at 8:14. I don’t know if this is a bug or only happening to me but it’s killing my experience. Going to have to go back to pocketcasts and revisit the app once it’s updated.

Pretty good podcast player. What do you get when you take the convenience of the queue from Castro, add in a compact interface that also allows you to easily plan what to listen to next, and strip away the bulky size? You get agora. It’s queue makes it perfect for things like road trips, and (in my case) gig deliveries,it’s interface is nice and simple, and at the low cost of free, plus the size of a whopping 6.1mb,it really wouldn’t hurt to try the thing out. Who knows,it might grow on you too :)

What a lovely app. I can understand how some people might find the UI unintuitive, but as a tech person who can easily pickup on UI queues and enjoys fun design paradigms, this app is ridiculously delightful to use. Great work.

Great App with Feature Request. Love the app. Super fluid and unique interface after you go through the walkthroughs. There is great built in utility and customization at the same time. If there is anything I would like to see in a future update, it would be a simple fast forward/rewind set of buttons (5, 15, 30 second intervals) on the playlist screen. Even a gesture would do the trick! I would just love to see a quick fix for scrubbing through an episode without having to drag to a specific second-interval. Otherwise a fantastic experience!

Better but still needs a few things. I like the new interface. It's a lot easier to navigate but I miss the softer black theme and I still want a full screen podcast icon when I'm listening in-app.

Very promising app. I quite like the app, kudos to the developer for not forcing analytics upon us ( I use Lockdown to check and uninstall any app that sends analytics without my consent. The previous reviewer is correct that the lack of full screen player is a disadvantage. Overall, very good so far.

A Learning Curve, but boy is it worthwhile.... This app is so beautiful, it’s visual design will strike you as something which is frankly outdoing the design teams of massive companies. Once you understand the App’s panes and hierarchies, interface is super easy and fun to click through. The new design is even more beautiful. The whole interaction model is several layers deep, it can be as full featured as you want. The true black mode is a major battery saver for the new iPhones.

Really beautiful. Quick review: really enjoy so many of the aesthetics. The different color themes are a great option and unlike some other reviews I find the controls very intuitive. I will agree that there are some things I would love to see such as the full screen player. Something about not having that just seems incomplete. And also to have the option of 15 seconds vs. 30 second skipping. Otherwise great podcast player.

Playlists?. I like playlists that put my 110 podcast subscriptions in categories. If there’s a way to make a playlist on this app, I haven’t figured it out. If you like playlists, then this app isn’t for you. It is pretty though. When the app gets updated to include multiple playlists I will update my review. Another feature request would be iCloud sync.

Form Before Function. Disappointed in utility of this app given how pretty the screenshots are. Interface is unnecessarily different than iOS. Difficult to navigate and remember gestures. Icons are not clear in what they represent. And I can’t import my OPML from another app. Tried four times and it crashes app each time.

Confusing user interface. The app has an elegant but flawed user interface. Of particular concern is the bottom control bar. In none of the themes are the symbols able to be seen clearly. Maybe the dark theme is best in that it makes that bar gray, but then the top of the screen symbols disappear! What’s surprising is that it’s been like this for awhile. Hasn’t anyone complained about this before? Hasn’t the developer given the app design any further thought?

2.99 and in app purchases too?. I want a refund. Paid for this and now I'm getting prompted to pay more to change certain options, seriously? I understand that devs need to make money but when you purchase an app the general expectation is to not have to pay more to unlock all the features. Needs work too, importing Apple podcasts doesn't work at all either, and it takes 3 taps just to play an episode.

Hard to navigate. A very pretty app but it’s hard to navigate. Small thumbnails for podcast art even when choosing the larger thumbnail option. Also I was only able to import half of my podcasts and then unable to find the other ones in the discovery/add section.

Best Podcast Player Yet. I was on the hunt and tried four different podcast apps. I finally found one with (almost) everything I want. The only thing I would like to see is a CarPlay app and I certainly hope one is coming. Beyond that the app does everything I want very quickly. As my repitoire of Podcasts I like has grown I tend to only want to listen to certain episodes and not all of them. This allows me to do that easily with Playlist. I also like the smart speed setting to save time. I would also like to see a paid service with no ads like Stitcher Premium... Maybe someday. But ultimately this one was my favorite or all the ones I tried.

Unresponsive developer. I paid for the icon change feature but deleted the app afterwards. I eventually decided to come back to it and restore purchases, but it won’t let you because that button is nonfunctional and errors out. I’ve contacted the developer via the in-app support button as well as through Twitter to no response more than a week later. I don’t care if I only spent a buck. Small purchases here and there add up and it’s the principle here, not the amount. I’m not paying again for a feature that I already paid for.

Great beginning. Interface is confusing. I love the sleek and minimalist design. However the interface is a bit confusing. I can’t really tell where my main subscriptions are as I can only see the playlist menu. I’d like to be able to see a menu for all my podcast subscriptions. Also Apple Watch support would be nice in the future.

Hard to navigate, flawed. I want to like this app and give it a reason to use over the vast amount of other podcast players available, but it gets one of the most basic things wrong. There seems to be a flaw with the app saving your place on a cast. I have had most of my podcasts skip backwards a good ten minutes when I pause them and come back later. The second thing wrong for me is the interface. It is beautifully minimal, but unfortunately sooo minimal I frankly don't understand where to go. Very frustrating.

Design is amazing, missing CarPlay. I’d been looking for a Podcasts replacement and stumbled upon this, finding the design so pleasing and simple. My only complaint is that CarPlay functionality seems to be missing despite it showing up in the change log some time ago and I wish there was an app for Watch

Looks and works like a beautiful mock-up. The app is beautiful, albeit clunky and lacking features. While other podcast apps allow manual refresh, I have to just wait and hope Agora will load in the most recent podcasts. (Update: it turns out I needed to pull to refresh in the library section, not very intuitive in my experience) It also doesn’t allow for changing skip increments from 30s forward and back. Actions feel buried under multiple gestures and it’s easy to loose your sense of space while browsing podcasts in the library. Overall the learning curve is relatively high because Agora does not follow common design pattens in iOS. On top of this, Agora’s on-boarding process only uses text, it’s difficult to just figure out how things work. Otherwise, there is a lot of thoughtful haptic feedback, dark mode based on screen brightness, and a now playing queue which works great. All in all, this is a beautiful app, but it needs attention with regard to user experience. I’m looking forward to seeing how this app progresses.

My favorite podcast app. Just a few features from Apple podcasts that I would like. One is that I like how they put recently updated, listened, and subscribed podcasts at the top of the subscription list. And two is that they allow podcasts to be in a state where you are still subscribed but you do not get notified of new episodes and the podcast does not move to the top of the list when it has new releases (this is good for podcasts that I only listen to when all of my primary ones have run out of content). And one additional feature: could we get a toggle for volume boost in the quick settings menu above the playback controls? Or maybe let us change that setting on a per-podcast basis? I don’t like the audio of cinematic podcasts to be messed with, but there are plenty of talk podcasts where the creators still haven’t figured out how to make their voices as loud as professional podcasts.

Outstanding app, just one tiny flaw. Okay this app is insane. The UI is beautiful! Its really customizable and unique, rarely do I comment on a app’s interface but well done. The only reason Im giving 4 stars is because I feel like the app REALLY needs to have a full page for when you play the podcast itself... It could be simple, album cover, rewind, play, forward and the time your at. If the developer made a designated player panel this app would be perfect!

Intuitive, minimalist, and beautiful.. An intellectual approach to the podcast app game, Agora conditions you to use your mind to adapt to it’s array of powerful functions. Gesture control is the future of all handheld devices, and this app is ahead of the game. It’s a little odd at first to navigate, but after a few days of using it, I’m in love. SUGGESTIONS TO THE DEVELOPER: -a function to add pods to the playlist without needing to play them first would be awesome -an info pid on the top of the playlist that shows total playlist time (accumulative play time of all pods on the list) would be really cool. I like to set up my 9 hour work day beforehand so I can just hit play and forget it. -a full screen playback view that shows the podcast’s artwork would be fun, but isn’t a necessary addition -keep doing what you’re doing, this app is FIRE 😎

Beautifully Designed Podcast Player. I have tried a ton of podcast apps and this one most closely aligns with what’s important to me: aesthetically pleasing, customizable and clean interface, and feature-rich. Hopefully this app will get some more users and will continue to improve. Love it so far.

Pretty podcast player with some major usability concerns. Iconography isn't very clear to me. The lack of a tutorial or feature guide makes this app frustrating to learn the deeper features. Coming from pocket casts or the Apple podcast app it feels very jarring having these deep gesture based features that aren’t really explained very well, and sharp icons with little context as to their meaning. Overall good start. Excited to see improvements in the future.

A fresh take. I’ve been a longtime Overcast user, but I’ve found their attempt at replicating Apple’s card UX to poorly executed at frustrating to navigate. Smart speed was cool, until I realized this has the same exact thing. Clean, intuitive, beautiful to look at. Goodbye overcast.

Love the new approach. I’m a podcast app snob, and I love how iOS focused podcast apps really are the cream of the crop when it comes to design. This so far is the best looking podcast app available. And it tries some unique new interaction concepts never done before. I will say, it takes a few swipes around the interface to remember what the icons do and, for instance, how to find your subscribed podcasts after searching the podcast directory. I was thinking it might work to use either different shades/colors or perhaps some translucency for the various layers that exist within the so you can always remember your place within the app at a glance. Overall wonderful minimalist design, great typography and use of space.

Good app. But question.. I do really like this app. But one question I have for the developer is: what does “dynamic theme” mean? I thought maybe it meant that the theme of the app would change with the native iOS light/dark mode. However, when I switched my phone to dark mode, the app did nothing. So I’m confused what this setting does?

Lacks essential features!. No Apple Watch or CarPlay support! Can’t resume playback with multi use button on any of my Bluetooth headsets! The UI is nice and the gestures are intuitive but without support for certain features I can’t really recommend it. There are too many other great apps out there that support these things.

Outstanding. I've listened to podcasts on a few different apps and services and this is the nicest player I've used! Clean interface!

Beautiful but 2 feature requests. This is one of the most beautifully designed apps on the store. It takes a little bit to get used to all the shortcuts but it’s definitely worth it in my opinion. There are, however, three minor features missing that I think would make this app perfect. The first is something that I have been looking for in a podcast app for a while- autoplay from the most recent podcast with unlistened episodes when the queue (or playlist as it’s called in this app) is empty. This used to be on the native podcasts app but apple took it out for some reason. The second is a quick option to swipe right on an episode to add it to the playlist. I know you can swipe left and then tap the button, but that’s pretty slow- and it really adds up when you’re scrolling through your podcasts to build a queue to listen to. The last one is the ability to organize your grid of podcasts. By default, it’s done alphabetically, but I would like to drag my most listened to podcasts to the top. Overall though my experience with this app is amazing.

Very efficient and well thought out. UI is changing so much these days but this app does feel very easy and user centric, while cutting a lot of traditional ideas of navigation inside apps. It's efficient cause it removes some motion. Like if so far but can we have 15s forward/backward?

PLEASE add iPad support.. I almost fell in love with this app. It’s got a beautiful and interesting interface on the iPhone but on the iPad Pro it launches completely sideways and in the center of the screen. I’m a heavy iPad Pro user and without proper support for the device I need to say goodbye. I need a player that looks native to both platforms and one that I can sync my progress across. You’ll be missed Agora, I barely knew ya.

Great Start!. I’ve been using the vanilla Apple Podcasts app with every iPhone I’ve ever bought and decided to buy this one cuz I wanted a new podcast app. First off all, this app is really pretty. The minimalistic style is a breath of fresh air from other paid podcasting apps. It’s missing some features and the UI needs some more cleaning up, but so far it’s the best two bucks I’ve spent on the AppStore.

Update Fixed Crashes. A very nice looking app that shows a lot of potential. The developer responded quickly to my crash issue, and while it’s not quite as refined as Castro (which is another single playlist player), it’s definitely worth checking out for anyone looking for a nice podcast player. The fact that multiple playlists are in the works is an added bonus I’m looking forward to seeing.

Love the app and the design.. The design and interface of the app is spectacular and it's so very intuitive. My only qualm is that I can't scrub through a podcast as when I try to it goes back to the point in the podcast it was playing so if I try to go to the beginning it just goes right back to my current point. I'm not sure if I'm just doing something wrong or? Thank you for making an otherwise great app

Good app. Beautiful. But some bugs.. I've been very impressed with usability of the app and how great it looks. But I've also seen some errors with incorrect podcasts of the same name being imported during export to the app. The other issue is incorrect podcasts from another subscription added under the name of another podcast. 4 stars until fixed.

Coffee purchase not registered?. I like the app. I believe I bought the coffee purchase like two months ago but it keeps asking me to buy again when I try to change the app icon. Also may I ask what the cafeteria purchase is?

Purchased coffee but still can’t change icon. Just wanna say how much I love this app, speaking overall! It’s been the platform by which I’ve discovered the universe of podcasts and the UI is the most aesthetically attractive and (once you learn the mechanics and gestures) the controls are straight-forward, intuitive, and unique. I keep Castro Plus as an alternative option, but as great as it is, I more often than not find myself using Agora. My only complaint is: I’ve bought coffee for the developer multiple times now, hoping I’d be able to change the app icon as promised, only to feel duped and almost silly for thinking it might finally work. $1 here and there isn’t the end of the world, but I would like to see the app / dev deliver on their word! That aside, keep up the good work!

Good Concept, Poor Execution. This app, at first, looks great and has a good amount of customizable features. However, this app would crash often and it's usability becomes more of an unenjoyable task than an intuitive experience. It's hard for me to recommend this app in its current state. For now, it's just a good demonstration of what could be a great app later on. I'm currently using Pocket Casts as my daily driver for podcasts.

Love the app, but a big problem.. I love this app and think its by far my favorite UI. HOWEVER, it will randomly skip podcast episodes I have not listened too. Sometimes it will play the first split second of an episode and then skip it, and I can go find it and download it again, but sometimes I just never hear an episode and then I go look for it, its marked played but I have not heard it yet. I am now worried i'm missing episodes entirely. This is a big problem for a podcast app, once its fixed then back to 5 stars because its really a great app but this is an awful and problematic bug. Also looking forward to Apple Watch support.

Love it so far. I was looking for a podcast app that was fairly basic but also looked good. This one is both of those. I love the swipe to play list then auto download feature.I’m hoping it doesn’t end up abandoned

It no longer breaks subscriptions. But new episodes I add to my playlist are now showing “4 minutes” left and when I start them I have to manually rewind. This isn’t too bad except sometimes it doesn’t want to rewind to the start and just jumps back into the middle of the podcast. Come on.

No chapter support, & show notes look weird. This is a nicely designed app and I was going to give it a chance as my main podcast app. But the show notes format are all screwed up. For example, if it’s an outline, the hierarchy is flattened to a list. Also links are broken so that they are underlined, but tapping them doesn’t do anything. The biggest problem is no chapter support. I need to be able the skip to specific chapters and easily skip to the next one. A lot of podcast don’t even make use of show notes or chapters so, if none of yours do, give this player a shot because it’s pretty good. But for me I just can’t.

Much clean design. Much potential.. I love podcasts and i think this app can be functionaly great. It already looks great. We need the option to sort podcasts and episodes. The app crashes when i scroll down a podcast feed. The album art on display should be bigger. Navigation is confusing. This is great. I will rate 5 stars when the much needed functionality is added. Keep up the great work!

Very Beautiful & Well Designed. It’s missing a few features, so I’m probably going to stick to Castro for now, but will still use this from time to time. Kudos to the developer for making what is probably the best looking podcast app by a long shot.

Very beautiful app but miss some features. Love the interface, but I really wish to have features like choosing to add episodes to the bottom or top of the playlist

Slick. Works really well, love all the hidden gems and interactions. Also the way you can choose different colours is really nice 5 ⭐️

Fantastic app with an elegant design. Only need a few additions to be 5 star in my opinion: - Now Playing screen (I think the podcast artworks would shine with this minimal design) - Ability to change the timeframe for the skip forward/backward buttons - Per podcast settings to automatically send episodes to the bottom/top of the playlist - Support for Chapters - Better refreshing of podcast (episodes seem to show up a bit later than in other apps) Sidenote: The restore purchase feature doesn’t work (bought a "coffee" last week, features were unlocked but then I deleted/re-installed the app and now I’ve lost the new icons/themes and can’t restore the purchase)

Beautiful, missing something. Beautiful app, extremely well crafted. Missing the option to create smart playlists, like if I want to play only my news podcasts together from oldest to newest. To do so I think I would need to manually create a custom playlist each time, but these podcasts update every day and sometimes multiple times a day. Maybe I’m missing something. Missing a now playing screen that overtakes the playlist. Search isn’t clear how to filter, images too small in list view. I’m critical because I love it, does that make sense?

Was my favorite podcast app, but.... Unfortunately, it looks like playback has been broken for a while now. On my iPhone X at least, I'm unable to keep audio playing when the app is in the background or when the screen is off. Hope it's resolved soon, keep up the good work!

Well designed. Missing some features. Very well designed app. I am a big fan of the colours and the subscription organization. My only wish would be to have a full sized playback screen. To see the full sized artwork and Easier scrubbing, rather than the miniature playback controller on the bottom.

Absolutely worth the price. Beautiful user interface, top notch user experience, and overall amazing service

Beautiful!. It’s beautiful and refreshing against all the other popular podcast apps. I wish the searching supported auto-complete though and while the minimal design is beautiful, I found some of the settings to not be as intuitive? Like whether I had actually turned the dynamic theme on or off... I feel like denoting this through red to green colours might make that clearer without compromising on the minimal design. Sometimes things also feel a bit slow with the fade transitions when navigating between the options in the menu bar, like going from settings to search

THE BEST PODCAST APP. That July for making an app that has great content AND is easy (and a pleasure) to use. Great value in the price rather then paying yearly for Castro or Overcast. I’ve been using this ALL THE TIME!!!! Thankyou 😘😘😘

Great looking but.... Playback is finicky at best on my iPhone X. Unfortunately, playback is at the core of your app. Also, I « bought you a coffee » to get some extras but when I re-opened the app, I lost the privileges and it now says that I never bought you any and restoring purchases throws an error. You might have the most awesome looking app and the best UI/UX on the app store but if the back-end doesn’t work properly and consistently, I find it hard to justify using it let alone paying for it. I hope you’re going fix this as soon as you can because don’t get me wrong, your app has huge potential. 👍🏻

Beautifully made. The design of Agora is nice reprieve of all the me-too podcast apps that tend to look alike. With that said there are few underlying issues that I found after using it for a couple of days. The settings are not quite intuitive and when I tap on "How Agora Works", the interface afterward is every bit as confusing. Another issue is when I Airplay a podcast onto external speakers. There's constant drop-outs that I don't get from another podcast app or when I'm playing Apple a Music. Also it would help if there's some kind of indicator telling me that I've downloaded an episode. I'm hoping all those underlying issues will be fixed/improved at some point but for now, it's a promising app that's beautifully designed.

Amazing App!. Thank you.

Modern app that works on iOS 12. Thanks for making a slick app that still works on older hardware and iOS!

This app makes no sense. It’s pretty, but highly unintuitive. I honestly want my money back. How do you mess up this badly on a podcast app? 1) It looks like the only way to download an episode is to select the “Auto download” option in settings. Even then, it just downloads the first episode of the podcast and it doesn’t give us an option to download any other episodes in the podcast. What?? This makes no sense. Why can’t I just have an option to download any episode I want whenever? A majority of podcast listeners listen to downloaded episodes; they don’t stream them. This is an essential feature that is missing. Wow. 2) The badge count doesn’t work. No badge count shows up anywhere. What does it even count? Downloaded episodes? All episodes? Fix this badge count issue and allow us to choose how it counts the episodes. Also, there should be a badge count by the title of each podcast in the Subscriptions section denoting how many episodes are downloaded (downloading an episode isn’t even an option, so, lol). 3) In the individual podcast page, all we’re provided is a list of all the episodes in the podcast. That’s confusing, especially when some podcasts have 100+ episodes. Give us an option to select a default view, such as seeing only downloaded episodes, so we don’t have to scroll through hundreds of episodes to find which episodes we downloaded (again, we don’t even have the option to download episodes, haha). 4) There’s no actual dedicated now playing screen/page when listening to an episode; we just get a small player on the bottom. 5) There should be a dark grey theme. Pure black themes are headache-inducing. 6) Give us an option on how the podcasts are displayed in the Subscription page. 7) The app is just confusing. This is a beautiful app, but please consider these changes. This is a highly broken app. For now, I’ll continue using Castro.

Gorgeous app. Another great app by the talented Javi Perez

The least intuitive app I’ve ever used. I consider myself pretty tech savvy, but I don’t want to have to remember a bunch of details on how to navigate a podcast app. Additionally, it froze a lot, and prompted me for a review as soon as I entered the app for the first time (personal pet peeve- please let me use before asking for a star rating!)

Dynamic theme not working. Beautiful UI, I have gifted developer the coffee for this. But one major flaw is that dynamic theme isn't working. My running environment is below, pls help fix it: iOS 13.3.1 iPhone11/8

Broken app. After update you cant change color of app or change icon.. eveything is stuck on dark mode! Uninstalling this app. Developers no have clue what and how to fix bugs.. Update 10/30 devs have fixed app now i will rate this again 5 stars!

Love the design. Clean & intuitive

过于简单. 功能性不强,就是个卖颜值的app

Great app, but syncing is spotty. It’s a great, beautiful app. The only problem I’ve found so far is that it doesn’t update very regularly or consistently.

One major bug. The player is great, but for some reason it stops playback sometimes when I lock my screen or leave the app

Great App. So Far I Love This Player. I Wish There Was Support For Apple Watch 👌🏽

Gorgeous!. Fantastic app and one of the most beautiful apps in the store. Supra genius.

iPad app?. Love this app it’s amazing love the interface but I would love to see the app have a native iPad app I think it would look amazing please add a iPad app please and thank you

The best design. It’s an amazing app, one of the most beautiful apps I ever had congrats

Can’t do anything. Not intuitive at all. Can’t do anything I want to do.

Greeeaaaattttt!!!!!. Absolutely lovely app to listen to your podcasts in!

Limited. I recently ditched Android, and have been super disappointed with the podcast options on Apple. This has been the best of a limited field. Because I have to go through and recreate what I have and have not listened to, I really wish this program had batch updates. This goes for marking episodes listened and adding to playlists. If the feature exists, it isn’t at all intuitive. Also, the ability to sort playlists oldest to newest. Some podcasts require chronological order. Lastly, hide listened to episodes.

Great App! Awesome Design!!. This is a great app with an awesome design...Here are a few things that would make this app even better.. Things to improve: The Podcasts take a little long to load. Wish List: Trim silence, Airplay, IPad and Apple Watch app.

Style over substance. The UX is even more horrible than the Apple native podcast app; which I didn't think was possible. Hope the PM gets a swift (metaphorical) kick up the B, as it's so incredibly unintuitive it's insane, Added to the indecipherable icons, I wonder if they tested this on any real people whatsoever.

An idea filter. This app limits your search results so that you only see what they determine is acceptable, for sure you will get some nice content but you will also miss out on a huge amount of important information that it filters out, it’s like wearing rose colored glasses.

The interaction is little bit confusing. emm...

I never rate apps.. Agora, is a beautiful podcast app. I love the design, and splash of vibrant color. Everything about this is beautiful. It’s now my default app.

Best way to enjoy podcasts. This app is perfect for podcasts. I’ve tried a lot of options and this one is exactly right.

Gorgeous, with promise. Beautiful app. It makes Overcast and the others look so 1990. It has several bugs to iron out, and the toggle buttons in the settings are odd, but it shows great potential.

Lacking. Lacking lots of features like skip and user playlists

Used to be a loyal user. How stupid to update the app without any warning that it’d delete all of my subscriptions. Not going to even bother, I’ll just go back to using Castro. Great update. 👍🏽

Great App! Few Suggestions. So I couldn’t find a way to email the developer, so I decided to put this in the review. Very quick: PocketCasts was just updated and the UI was confusing and horrible. I tried other apps but none were great for my workflow. I took the risk and bought Agora and after a bit of practice it’s great! Love it, and definitely will keep using this. For those who buy it I suggest take your time getting used to the layout but it took me 12 hours to be comfortable with it. So here are my suggestions to the developer: 1. Have the option to see the subscribed podcast list in grid view (I saw another review mention this so I’m voicing my support as well). 2. Play around with the themes again? The white and black ones are great. But the colored ones are overwhelming. They’re beautiful colors but they’re too overpowering. Maybe have the color options mixed with a bit more white/black elements. OR white/black main themes and colored accent options. 3. Have the option to let the navigation buttons be on the bottom? I know we can swipe left and right instead, but at least the option to switch it up and down, or keep it permanently down, would be great. And you could maybe have the name of the section on the top. Having it on the bottom is more intuitive. 4. Font sizes and episode sizes? If it’s not too much trouble, It would be great to have the option for smaller or bigger sizes (I prefer a smaller font) and to make the episode blocks more compact, so we could see more without scrolling? 5. The option to change the skip second time. It’s currently 30 seconds front and back, and I’d love it to be 20 or 15 if possible. That’s all for now. Otherwise love the app!

Best podcast app ever!. Perfect animation, minimal design with complete features.

Refund. I want a refund!

Great. Better than Castero for sure

Super super super. Design and functionality is super. I love it from the very first second I open it. Thanks you for such a great application

برنامج روعه. شُِكْـُـْـْـ🌺ـْـْـْرَاً للمطور روعه Amazing app

Looks good, but it isn’t for me. Agora’s design is beautiful and it is probably a great podcast app for some. Because of that I gave it 4 Stars. I don’t think it’s right to give an app a low rating just because it doesn’t fit my use case. For others it may be perfect. I did remove 1 star because the control icons are not intuitive (at least for me). Each time I open the app I have to hit several buttons just to get the one I actually want. The information provided when selecting a podcast is great. If it’s a tech podcast you can just select the category button (tech) and it will show you similar tech podcasts. The speed function is ok, I just wish it had smart speed where only the breaks between talking were sped up. It isn’t for me because I can’t find a way to create separate playlists. In overcast I have separate playlists based on categories (productivity, technology, knowledge, entertainment, etc), based on length (short 15 min or less, medium 15 min - 30 min, and long (30 min +) and for activities (driving, working out, working, etc). This makes it super simple to choose which playlist to pick. Overcast smart playlists make it easy to set up all of these, select which podcasts to include, specific episodes to include, and which order they play in. In Agora I was only able to find 1 playlist that I have to manually select podcasts/episodes for each time. Since Agora may not be for everyone I think it would be helpful if the dev offered it free with a limited trial after which users would have to make an IAP to continue using it.

sensational. Such a fresh take on the crowded podcast apps. Made me listened more. A good design is worth supporting all the way.

Nice app but big problem. App is downloading different episodes under different episode names. Auto download not working. Learning this app is massively confusing. No FAQ

Lots of UI bugs. Something I wouldn’t expect from a paid app.

Playback issues. App seems ok but has playback issues that prevent me from using it. Skip forward doesn’t always work. Seeking to a position doesn’t work at all - the playback always resets to the current play point. The import from iCloud didn’t seem to work.

Bug when trying to resume play on lock screen. Sometimes when I pause it and try to resume play on lock screen. It doesn’t respond

A bit buggy since since the iOS 13 update.. Hope to see improvements soon. Such a wonderful app.

Bad experience for a paid app. Needs a refund. The app is incredibly slow at loading podcasts from search results. Absolutely unacceptable for a paid app.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. The whole experience is awesome. Highly recommended.

Sleep Timer. Please create the option to ‘Sleep’ at the end of an episode rather than 60 min being the max timer amount.

Fancy looking but lacks important features. It’s a great to use app but podcasts work a lot based on recommendations and ratings! This app doesn’t provide any rating/usage information

????. Yes, a pretty app, but if I can’t figure out how to use it well and intuitively? It’s taking too long and is too frustrating, so now I’m more inclined to avoid it. I really want to like this app, I keep trying, but I’m ready to move on. Three stars for design

Can’t use this effectively. Nice looking, but feels like a designer’s playground than an actually usable app. Spent more time tapping buttons with no labels to see what they did than actually using the app effectively. Just not worth using my muscle memory to learn this esoteric UX. You’ll be very confused using this.
