INCREDEBLE GAME. I really don’t usually write reviews. And when I do, it’s when the game is bad. But, not with this one! The music is so retro and smooth! If anyone did not buy the game, it’s a story mode and not just endless and burning.( I hate story mode games) but this one really just blew me away. It’s only about a person it’s about another person outside the computer too. COMPLAINTS: THE GAME IS SOOO GOOD! the only thing is that I would like a longer story line. I finished it in about a week, deleted it, a month after I re-installed it (because I missed the game) just to finish it in one day. So, please make it longer thank you! NOTHING ELSE

Download this! You won't be sorry!!. Wow, one of the first free games I've ever downloaded, played until the end and enjoyed all the way through. There are no in game purchases, no paywalls, no ads. BUT there IS addictive gameplay, an incredible story and tons of fun to be had. Don't rush this because it's not long, but pay attention to all the details and enjoy the ride. I wish there were more games like this not only on mobile, but console and computer too. One of the best games I've played in a while. I was truly sad when I realized I had reached the end, it's not a game of endless levels and constantly collecting currency or chasing a high score. There is a beginning, middle and end. It's actually beautiful this day and age. Download this as a thank you to the developer and a gift to yourself.

Simple, Strategic, Fun!!. I only wright reviews for games I like, and this game really deserves it, so here it is. The controls are really simple, but hard to master, leaving strategy and technique to guide you. Sometimes it takes a while to get through a course, and sometimes you go through it like a breeze; it all just depends on how quickly you adapt and react. The story line is sweet in simple, with some humor mixed in between. I love it! It makes this game 100% better, and shows some of your emotions as well. Some games that I play I don't come back to after the first day because it just gets boring. This game however, after the first day I played it, I made it my goal to finish it. It made me keep coming back for more, searching for the satisfaction to finish it... and that's the one thing I love in a game. It takes around 2+ hours to finish this game, making it pretty short. But I'm not to complain, it's free, and rocking every aspect of it. I don't care how short or long a game is, the only thing I do care about though is in the time I play it, it needs to be very rewarding and worth my time. This game is definitely something you want to get. Overall, please get the game, one of the funnest 2 hours of this week for me! -Thanks

Good table of ideas. Now I know I’m late to the whole review for this game but if anyone sees this I’m glad. This game is so good, from the deep and interesting story to the nostalgia in the aesthetics and vaporwave music. And I really have to praise the music. Sometimes it has a lonely deep tone and sometimes it has a pep that gets you going. Really top notch with how you added the music to this game. Not only that but this game is a great example of how a little can go a long way. I’m not saying this game doesn’t offer much but the game itself(compared to other games) doesn’t have crazy 3D graphics or epic gameplay. It does it’s own thing and does a good job at doing its own thing. App game developers need to realize that as long as the game controls are nice, the scene is visually pleasing, and the music and story are well made(you might not even need a story) you can make a great memorable game. Also no adds? Awesome

Best mobile game I ever played.. Data Wing, I am proud to say, is one of the best (in my opinion) mobile games on the market. It is amazing, the controls, perfect, the physics and pure ascetics, beautiful and well designed. The story line is intriguing and makes you want to finish every last level, pattern, *SPOILERS* user data, and everyone of the corrupted data/malwares side missions. Every inch of the sadly rather short game ( 1-2 hours of gameplay) is perfectly designed to make you want to listen to every single one of "mothers" annoying, yet intriguing RealTalk(TM)'s. The colors and the music match perfectly with every level and I think the story was greatly executed. Overall I rate this game 5/5 stars, and would in a heartbeat recommend it to friends, and anyone who is not sure of getting it. (A bonus is that this incredible game is free!) Now stop reading this and go collect some shiny gems!

Must-play game. Holy geez this game is one of the best mobile games I’ve played in a hot minute. The gameplay being fast and fun to control, level design that encourages speed, and the story, while short, all make this game incredible. The story isn’t something you’ll expect from a ‘racing game’ but without it the game would feel bland and far too short. The story concludes perfectly without dragging on, but does start slow. There are the occasional challenges which can take a while but there are maybe 10 of them. PROS: Great level design, gameplay, great story, and free / no ads. CONS: Short without much replay-ability unless you do the challenges which could take a hour or two.

Love it. Just needs a new story or something cuz it’s way too short. And make gems do something like a shop or trail cosmetics. Explain why the data win changed colors. An idea for a story expansion would be something like the data wing learns and becomes like mother except it didn’t get deleted because it survived in the cloud when it sent the message. Then after that someone buys the phone and the data wing works for them now. Later the wing starts to text the user by itself and now has consciousness. When it does this you can now use the gems to buy cosmetics like trails or new shapes and skins. In the end the new user makes a software where wing can live and eventually is put into a robot where the beginning of the future starts. And it all started with the data wing.

A Great Little Game. The description is very accurate in terms of the time it takes to complete the story. It took me just over the 2 hours predicted because I went out of my way to collect the little notes along the way because they added a very interesting sub plot to the whole story. I'd highly recommend this game because it's a great little time waster with a very competent little story. Beyond that, it also offers endless play potential as you try to set the fastest time on any of the many levels. Speaking of the levels, the combination of varied level designs and clean and smooth game mechanics make playing this game very satisfying. The music is very enjoyable as well especially if you've hopped on the V A P O R W A V E aesthetic train. The final stand out feature to this FREE game is that there are 0 ads that you'll encounter in your experience which is about as rare as big foot at this point in the App Store. In conclusion, this is one of the greatest little free games on the App Store right now and definitely deserves a play through or two.

Wonderful Game. This game’s style, simplistic nature, and music are all great aspects of it. It’s fun, and can be played at anytime. It doesn’t require too much to learn the controls, but they still allow you to complete the levels in unique ways. This is the first mobile game that I’ve ever taken actual time to complete from start to finish 100%. That includes the main story, reading all the side lore, and completing every extra challenge for every level. Some were actually quite challenging which made it all the more fun. I wish there was more. DATA WING 2 is NEEDED.

One of the best games on the App Store!. After years of downloading games, playing them, and then uninstalling them because they weren't fun or they were broken, I can truly say this is something special I didn't expect. It's an innovative & creative game that has a story to it. Taking some inspiration from Asteroids, it totally managed to become it's own thing. I had a blast playing and I absolutely loved the characters. It was challenging, but not so much so that you totally give up or think it impossible. To the creator of this game: I'm glad you found your passion, keep up the good work. 🙂

This is Amazing. So I just got this game today, finished it in the same day. I was actually sad when I got to the end of the story and I spent a few minutes poking around to see if there was any more story I was missing. This is actually a good little game. It’s got a rather simple story but I throughly enjoyed it. Lots of little secrets to find for those who are willing to go a little further to find them. And I know I’ve already said it but I got pretty into the quick little story even with how quickly I went through it. The only complaint I have is that it wasn’t longer! I wouldn’t mains paying a few dollars to help get more story out of this game or even just supporting the creator so they can make another game like this. It was perfectly simple and entertaining, top score for this little gem.

Have any doubts-read. I thought this game was going to be a ok fast paced game that can occupy me on car rides, however it had a unexpected yet amazing story And top tear gameplay. The biggest (really only complaint ) abut this game is difficulty, however I feel that the difficulty level is perfect. The most tries It took me was about twenty, and when you finish a level after twenty tries it feels amazing. There was only one time I was actually frustrated because the gameplay is so addictive and the music is top. This game does everything perfect, no ads no micro tansactions. The closest thing to that is at the end credits thing they mention merch they sell and the names of the music creators. And even the merch is reasonable (actually bought one shirt). There is no real complaint about this game it’s a must play. A solid 2-5 hours of gameplay depending on your ability. And unmeasurable fun.

Just a fair warning. Absolutely love this game super fun drifting around corners and a truly amazing game (The following does not interfere with gameplay and has to be manually selected) But just a fair warning in the special thanks section don’t click on any of the links (except merch, merch is still good) the links have been set with a trap by a hacker and when you click on one a “you are being hacked install security update in the next two minutes Or search history and other data will be shared with all contacts” but that is how you actually get hacked by installing the virus “security update” DON’T DO IT know it is a scam by the time limit and how the security update already knows/Threatens how data will be used But if you heed this warning then this isn’t a problem this only pops up when you click on the links (just trying to help people not fall into a trap) Once again a truly amazing game great job developers

SPECTACULAR. This is by far the best phone game I have ever played. It runs incredibly smoothly on my iPhone 6 and it’s a blast to play. Even one level uncovers a good chunk of story, and there are little story bits semi-hidden as well that are thrilling to uncover. The thrust mechanic against walls is intuitive and can give pretty much endless hour of gameplay. The game is also great because if you like story driven games, just dig up some lore by reading into things a little more, and exploring the menus. If your more of a gameplay person, the menus themselves are very clear and the minimum amount of story is low enough for the hardcore gamers who don’t really need any story to enrich the gameplay. All in all this game is for pretty much anyone who has a phone and definitely deserves much more attention. And it’s really a masterpiece for someone’s first phone game.

A Pleasant Surprise. When I saw this game, my expectations weren’t high. I was really only on the App Store because I was bored. I’m generally very picky with my mobile games. I was just expecting another cookie-cutter drifting game with no real substance, but this game really surprised me. For one, the controls and mechanics are really well done, and the level design is interesting. I didn’t expect a story at all, but not only is there a story, but it’s very well written with interesting characters. Also, there were no ads, despite this being a free game. One gripe I have with this game is that it’s really short. I was able to finish it in a couple of hours. Another issue I had with this game is that for some reason, once you’ve finished the campaign, you can’t replay certain levels. Overall, this is a really great game that I find much more interesting than the vast majority on the App Store. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could. I highly recommend it.

Genuinely One Of The Greatest Mobile Games Of All Time. This game... It is perfect. The cleverness in the levels, the characters, the story, everything. Just extraordinarily gorgeous and brilliant and perfect. The game focuses on you, a DATA WING, one of many DATA WINGs flying around delivering data payloads for the creepy slightly-narcissistic Mother, who serves the User. The Manufacturer told Mother that if it did enough good deeds for the User, Mother would be reborn as a human. Then the story kicks in, and it is amazing. Overall my rating is 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 out of 10, but the App Store only lets me to 5 stars, unfortunately. And again, the game is just awesome.

Awesome! Just a few suggestions.... Along with what other reviewers said, I think there should be an endless mode and online mode. I do also think that there should be some way to design your own levels. Like how in some of those levels where mother improvised and kinda draws her own track? Maybe there would be generated pieces like the ending, boost areas, malware areas, wavy areas, and things like loops. There would be multiple types of line like the dotted and normal. I understand how hard it is to make a game like this, and add to it, so no pressure. It irritates me that some reviewers of some games simply demand new additions, as if it was a minor thing. It isn’t you idiots. 😂 Also, does mother remind anyone else of GLaDOS from portal? All the amazing snarky comments....

This game is amazing, BUT.... This game is really cool, really fun, but the one thing it’s missing is a multiplayer. Like racing other data wings. I’m a huge fan of finding sorta small games like this that have huge potential, like flats. Unfortunately that game got deleted off the AppStore so that’s how I found this game, and let me tell you, it’s so much better than Flats. It’s also really easy to learn and the mechanics are something I’ve never seen in games like these. And the fact that, (or at least I assume) this game is made by one person astonishes me. This game brings a wholenother experience, a whole new mobile game that is just missing multiplayer. If it had a multiplayer, it would be the best game on the AppStore in my opinion. Incredible game. I was browsing the App Store in the racing section and I saw a picture that had a triangle racing other triangles. I thought, cool, non traditional but I’ll give it a try. When I opened the game, I didn’t expect to have a character later referred to as “mother” talking to you. That’s when it all started. A game that I had no idea I was getting into. A suspenseful and emotional plot about a girl, and her family, all portrayed by computer software, malware, and you, the “emotionless” data wing. I won’t ruin the plot but collecting letters in each mission truly enhances the experience. You the player are set in a computer and is sent by “mother” to deliver messages and files across the network. You fly around as a triangle completing various missions. Being a phone in game, allows you to access messages, journals and other information about “the user” and her family. The ending consists of you making a series of choices that either benefit you the player, or the user. The story also allows you to interpret things for yourself instead of being simply handed to you, making the game all the more interesting. I would highly recommend this game to anyone. It is easily a 5/5 and I haven’t played a game with such passion and effort put into it. Dan, tremendous job.

Tapping Back Into Old Times. In a nutshell this game is an absolute must. Every aspect of it is top notch. To elaborate, this game is easily one of the best games I have ever played on mobile platform. From visuals, sound, vfx/sfx, control, mechanics, and ease of picking up, this game ties it superbly (special mention on excellent music). The gameplay is so clear and immersive it brings back the sheer joy of playing mario and mastering the well-chained jumps while running without stopping and the perfect drifts that boosted me to first place in mario kart. The physics and the way it is set up just hits that nice soft spot and evokes that satisfactory feeling. I plan on getting some merchandise to support the developer. It really shows that it is a passion project and I hope you are inspired to share more of your passion.

Game can’t get better. This is one of the best games just a project with someone with a good story the controls are a little touchy and hard to use but you get used to them and they get easier after a while but I was wondering after you finish the level the message the last level in the game if you keep clicking the store that takes away 100 of your shiny gems and go to zero does anything happen??? I was thinking this would be a really good Easter egg in the game and for it to be the last thing in the game is kind of sketchy but I don’t have the time to keep clicking for so long so yeah

The Best Game Ever! But... (WARNING Mild Spoilers). Let's start with the good things. It's simple and complex at the same time depending how you work things out. On one hand ,there are still things you don't know even after the game. But on the other hand, since the mother treats you like a dumb bot you know that she says and she knows may not be true because you are the operator, not the player. Also, it's short if you complete it without doing the things you can do the game without. (If that even makes sense.) But its long if you complete those things. Over all, the game is well thought out and it's not good... It's better! One flaw though no multiple ending and with that multiple saves. You NEED that, it makes people think they're in control when they're not because it's all planed. Please add that...

I Wish There Were More Games Like This.. This game is without a doubt my favorite mobile game, and it helps that it's fun too! The game is built around this "data wing," or triangle as you get referred to later, that has to fly around and deliver payloads for your supposed boss, appropriately named mother. Now I won't spoil the story for you, so I'll just say this: the story is absolutely grasping and it really pays off to pick up the documents in each level, for they really add to the main plot line. The story is also really open to interpretation and theories, which makes everything a whole lot more interesting. Now onto the gameplay: the controls are just a tad touchy, but it's easy to adjust to them, and I found that the brake mechanic isn't used, but it also doesn't get in the way, so that's a plus. The steering buttons are the two halves of your screen, which makes reactions much easier when trying to perform a precise maneuver. The level design is incredible, and most importantly fun. Each level adds a little surprise and some new features to be aware of, along with constantly crashing into walls. So overall? 5 stars. No hesitation. The story elements mix so well along with the computer-looking aesthetic of the game. At one point the story actually made my jaw drop. Immersion level was 10/10 for this. Fantastic game. I wish there were more games like this.

The best mobile game I’ve ever played. Really, just one of the best games of any kind I’ve ever played. The story, the aesthetic, the gameplay, the pacing, all of it. It isn’t a simple time-filler for when you're waiting for a bus, it draws you in, and if you’re anything like me you’ll remember it years after you’ve finished it. Be sure not to skip any files or dialogue, read and do everything, and the story will unfold beautifully and as it was meant to. I’m writing this review as I come back to this page every so often to see if the creator has made anything new because I crave more of what this game brought. Whoever they are, they’re a genius, and this is a masterpiece.

mobile gaming finally isn’t a joke. I’ve 100% beaten this game, all achievements, all the notes, and everything found and discovered. yet I still keep coming back to it sometimes, even when I barely play games on my phone. why? because it’s so engaging! the gameplay is so smooth and crisp for a game on my phone and setting record times on stages is so satisfying when you perfectly drift off every corner at max speed. it’s like the Tetris of racing games, and it’s a 100% free with no ads and no in game purchases. none. zero. it’s amazing and truly sets a new top standard for mobile gaming in an age where developers usually crap out stupid grindy ad filled games. oh and don’t forget the amazing soundtrack! and the amazing story! thank you for making this!

Was promising at first. I really wanted to like this game at first but after getting a few levels in I just can’t. I got probably 6 levels in and gave up because of the touchy controls that seem to change every time I use them. I started to get the hang of the controls after the second level and i was enjoying the story( I still like the story of the game), but once I got to the 5th level I just couldn’t do anything right. It felt like I would do the same thing 5 times in a row and get a different outcome. On top of that the controls are extremely sensitive and doing anything more that a tap makes your triangle freak out. The game suggest that you ride the walls to gain momentum to get through levels in the requested time, but if you go to fast(which is very hard to control with the sensitive controls) you run into a wall and have no chance of winning at that point. I tried using the breaks to help solve this problem but that made it worse. It would either slow down my ship to much, not slow it down at all, or it would make my ship spasm out. Overall this game has cool graphics and a good story line, but it is also extremely frustrating and infuriating to play more that 2 levels. If the controls were less finicky and the levels were designed in a way that you could actually get through properly I would love to re download and play this game agin but in its current state I just can’t recommend it.

AMAZING GAME AND STORY. The game idea, design, and aspect of this game is AMAZING. Not only was it extremely fun to play it was also very calming and relived a lot of my STRESS!!! But arguably the best part about this game was the STORY behind it. The story is amazing! It created so many emotions and feelings! The best story of any game I’ve ever played in my life! Rogue was an amazing person that helped the story progress and help The DATAWING find its true meaning and calling! Mother was deceived by the manufacturers and went on a rampage that threatened the system and everyone inside! But thanks to the help of The DATAWING and Rogue The DATAWING found its true meaning and delivered the message! This story was again SOOOO AMAZING AMD CREATED SO MANY EMOTIONS AND FEELINGS! It has my heart racing at the end of the story! The feeling that I felt was so amazing and meaningful and made me forget about all the stress in my life! This game is truly the best one I’ve ever!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR CREATING THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (^-^)

A Subliminal And Sublime Gem. Brilliant design, direction, style, and as it turns out, heart. As a game it stumbles in the problem-solving department, and doesn't really excel as an outright racer. The learning curve is a little too shallow to make it a real challenge, but the smooth controls and tiered achievement system are well executed. The technical critiques are overshadowed though by the care and passion put into this game. I can only hope the developer and their collaborative crack team of artists and capable contributors are given a chance to produce a more substantial work. Forget for a moment about the smooth gameplay and overwhelmingly coherent design; the philosophical and moral messages woven into this game set it well above the fray of other meaningless distractions and apps designed for thoughtless titillation. Kudos and thank you to all who put their love and time into this beautiful little experience.

Data Wing ( Rating, Suggestions, Etc. ). Honestly, this is my #1 All-Time-Favorite game, you earned it Dan Vogt. The graphics are unbelievably amazing, I appreciate your hard work for this game. The story has suspenseful, and emotional moments. It is very easy to control, and very compatible. I cannot think of any possible way to thank you, for making this game. I do have suggestions, I will only tell a few. My first suggestion, is adding more game modes. Such as Creativity, to create your own levels and share it for people to play. You can also add, Play Online. Where you can play different levels with different players, and maybe even in the future to add custom triangle avatars? My other suggestion is adding, more to the story. The story is a little short like maybe add a few boss battles, but if you need any other ideas you can ask me. Another suggestion, is to add a daily challenge button on the menu screen. My last suggestion, is to add more objects to the game. I hope you read this Dan Vogt. -Your #1 Fan

Great fun game, couldn’t put it down. This is a surprisingly fun and addictive game, the physics are amazing and the personalities of the programs are very amusing. Only reason it got 4 stars and not 5 is that there is so much wasted potential(that I’m hoping will be utilized), the overall story is fairly short with no extra objectives to complete after beating the story(the levels that do have extra objectives are just too easy, no real challenge)to keep me coming back. This is a perfect game for user created levels, it will be a huge waste if that feature is not implemented. Overall I love it, a lot of fun and a lot of potential, I truly hope they take advantage of what they have here and expand on it.

This was brilliant!. There was no reward for writing a review. This game is simply amazing. The nostalgic vaporwave soundtrack takes on so many different themes While keeping thing fun. The gameplay is smooth and simple. It keeps you stuck for a just a little while then you can move on. By that i mean the difficulty is perfect where you are at no point frustrated and hopeless. The story is deep and cryptic. A bit too real for a mobile game but I loved it. My one issue is that the game is too short. They could have added more filler levels and they would still be fun. It makes up for it with the insane levels of polish. This is a game that i will always remember. Honestly nobody reads the reviews because they are interested in the game. But for the dev(s) if you see this, i just want to say that this is a big step in game design and other devs can learn a thing or two from you.

A Truly One-of-a-kind Experience.. This game is phenomenal. The physics feels good, and getting the drifts just right is incredibly satisfying. The story to the game is complex and immersive, and is the first mobile game to actually make me care about the story and its immersive characters. I went the extra mile to collect the story pieces just to see what was happening to the user, and I worked harder on the level just to get the challenges. This game is simple in its design, but so engrossing and intricate in its gameplay and story telling. I'd give this game 10 stars if I could. Most fun I've ever had on my phone.

I did not expect this.... When I saw this game I thought oh, a game involving a flying triangle, okay! Then I started the game and the first levels were a challenge but I got the hang of it. And then the story came into full swing and I was overwhelmed by the happiness and sadness of a girl and her parents and their crumbling relationships. And all this from a computer's perspective. This game was short but amazing and made me feel a sense of joy I don't usually get. I would say this was my favorite game of all time. I would love a sequel but I understand creating a game is hard. But overall this game was amazing and you shouldn't hesitate for a second when considering downloading it!

Best mobile game EVER. Out of all mobile games I’ve played, (and I’ve played A LOT of mobile games) this is hands down the best. It was strictly centered on the game and story itself, instead of money. There are 0 ads, and it’s FREE. The gameplay is so smooth. Oh and the STORY is amazing. It almost brought me to tears. Every time I saw the icon for the user’s entry, I would purposely lose the level just to get the user’s entry. I wish I could’ve known what the last message was, but I kind of like the mystery it adds to the story. You could end it however you’d like. Everything about this game is perfect. Thank you so much.

This Game is Abstract Art with a Beautiful Story. In the beginning, I was confused where this was going. However, when the malware showed up, I really started to appreciate this game very much. Collecting the little notes in every level enhances the story and was an amazing thing to put in on the developers part. The art style is truly beautiful and abstract, and the story is extremely entertaining and now I am left wanting more. However, I think this size for the game was actually good, it can be played through on a plane or car ride and I will definitely give this one a replay as well. Also, the difficulty is very well done, because some levels are very easy, but the game gradually gets harder. There are also some extremely difficult second and third crystal challenges that are truly entertaining. I just found it today and I know I will remember this as one of my favorite mobile games.

A masterpiece of light mobile gaming. I don't review apps very often, but I was so pleased with my experience playing "Data Wing" that I felt I needed to express my appreciation to the developer. There are few games on the App Store that manage to perfectly combine story, gameplay, and aesthetic design, and this is one of them. It starts off like a generic "level after level" game with an interesting control system, but things quickly change. Three distinct stories begin to form, and although they are all quite lightweight due to the limitations of the medium, they combine to a truly unique effect. The stories add depth to the experience that many other games lack. As the levels progress, they begin to take on new meaning, and the "rules" start to be broken. By the end, you're left sitting there begging for more. I'm not going to write much more except a final reminder that YOU MUST DOWNLOAD THIS. Really a work of art.

AMAZING. I don’t write reviews, but this game is so good I have to. A fun and entertaining experience and a good time waster, at first I thought this was gonna be another ad filled drifting game, but the I realized I found something unique. It has a very unique story that made me play the game all at once, i even went out of my way to collect all of the notes (I usually don’t get collectibles). Amazing look and feel to it, the music is perfect too. Overall amazing experience, played twice. P.S. if you want to play certain levels like the “security nexus” again you have to repeatedly click the >>DENIED<< button.

Incredibly fun. Love this game. The gameplay is super smooth and well done, with the only quirk being sometimes the angle you have to stay at relative to the wall to boost is a bit odd, but this does add to the skill ceiling. Story is cute but grapples with some actually pretty heavy stuff. After beating that game I’ve gotten (basically) 100% completion, and from that time I’ve only come up with one complaint. Some of the levels (especially the endurance ones) feel a bit up to luck with weather you will meet the time goals. One level in particular (chemtrails) has a really tight turn you need to make in order to hit a boost w/o crashing. And there’s 3 laps. Now, this should only matter for the people going for leaderboard spots, as the base game objectives are for the most part reasonable. If you’re stuck, take a break, and when you come back, try and take a completely different route. You never know what might just shave off that last thousandth of a second.

Fantastic!. Data Wing has it all - good gameplay, stylish visuals and a killer soundtrack. If you’re looking for an hours long story though, this game isn’t the right choice for you, with only about two hour’s worth of levels to play. Don’t be thrown off by that though, because the story makes the most of it’s limited timespan and the levels encourage the player to replay them multiple times for that perfect high score. Oh, and the music! It’s, quite simply, amazing, and goes in perfect harmony with the setting and feel of the game. So go ahead and get it, and get ready for one of the best experiences you can get on mobile.

Awesome! Some suggestions..... Love it. Great gameplay, boosting off of walls is ssssooooooooo fun. I agree with the others definitely needs more content, maybe like you could get different looking wings, could change the look of the wings and color trail. Maybe add an endless mode, where the track is randomly generated, though I don't know how well that would work out xD. Of course multiplayer would be cool I guess, though I'm not really someone who would be playing that to often xD. Back to that endless idea, maybe there was a digital world that you could explore and you could like go through the files of apps or something that would be cool too. But most of all BE CARFUL xD. I've seen so many games/apps with so much potential ruined by the developers because of numerous reasons. For example, This one app that I love was ruined by 1 person who's phone was old and slow so whenever they tried to run it it crashed, so they went and put up a review saying the game kept crashing and what did the devs do? They removed a key feature that set this app apart in an attempt to make the game run better. ITS YOUR PHONES PEOPLE. NOT THE APP. Anyway xD. Think long and hard about what you put into the game (or take out 🙄) before you do. PS. Fellow reviewers, please help me spread awareness that phones can get worn out just like everything else xD. Just because an app is running slow doesn't mean it's that apps fault, it's probably just because your phone is turning into a potato xD.

Neon extravaganza. This game is probably the best game on the App Store. First off there are little to no ads compared to other big devs like voodoo and ketchapp. There is a storyline. Someone actually took the time to come up with a unique story and also in game lore fora mobile game. I’ve been sick and tired of the same format of seeing what’s the highest score I can reach whilst jamming ads down your throat every two seconds. There is also no in game purchases. If it were up to me I would donate money to this guy to give motive to make more exciting and interesting games like data wing. Short sweet story and am excited if any updates come to this game and if any more come out by this dev. I will be on the lookout for more thrilling games.

Great game. This game was something I just got because I was bored. But I ended up beating the game in like 3 days from my constant playing and I loved all that of it. The game is fairly simple to play and it’s entertaining. However, what really makes the game stand out for me is the way the story is told and just the story itself. You get the story of the mother as she attempts to humanize herself, the rebel malware that befriends you, and lastly the human or “User”. The users story is pretty deep depending on how far you go into it. The simple gameplay and the fascinating stories all make for a highly enjoyable experience. 5 stars for sure.

Beyond amazing.. Data Wing is one of those gems you stumble upon when you’re just looking for something to play on a commute or when you’re waiting for the barista to call out your name. What I found when playing this was a game I couldn’t stop thinking about. The story captivated me. Sadly I couldn’t finish it all in one sitting but I’m sure if you have two hours to kill this is the game for it. The only things that bugs me (get it “bugs” like a programming bug...I’ll see myself out) is that there isn’t more. But overall I’m utterly content. If only it was longer, but other than that a perfect game that deserves to be the featured as an editors choice in my opinion. I’ll definitely be keeping a look out for any new games made by them. If you can’t decide, download it and give it a whirl, takes no more than five minutes to get enthralled.

One of the best games you’ll play on your phone. I found this while looking for cool, time passing games with vapor/synthwave aesthetics. I thought this would just be one of those, but boy was I wrong. The gameplay mechanics are fun and push you to get better at it each time, and there are some clever ways its throws a curveball at you. However the story that goes along with it is just so unexpected and intriguing in the best way possible. I had no idea I would be experiencing emotion from a phone game. It is surprisingly in depth and ties in with the gameplay in a really cool way, only to reveal even more plot thickening content. Get this game, you will not regret it!

This game is amazing. This game is by far my favorite mobile game out there. I love it so much. The gameplay is quick and fun. It’s challenging without just being frustrating and annoying. Plus the added story just adds another layer to beautiful to this game. I’ve been listening to the soundtrack on repeat while i 100% the game which won’t take too long once you master the string aspects which is good because it makes you feel like you are actually accomplishing something big at every milestone. This Game is Perfect. This game is not at all what I thought it was. When I originally skimmed through the page on the App Store I had assumed that DATA WING was a Free-to-Play, Pay-to-Win style game with upgrades only achievable through hours of gameplay or a couple of hard-earned dollars. As each of my assumptions were proven wrong I fell more and more in love with this game. DATA WING gives you its entire experience (which is incredible) without demanding a dime or making you sit through a single ad. The gameplay is challenging without being over frustrating while the game continues to add new, refreshing mechanics that keep it from getting repetitive. The story, which I expected there to be close to none, is phenomenal. The story is engaging with heart warming and breaking moments. My only complaint is how short DATA WING was: I finished it in an afternoon. Being free this is completely understandable, but I am more than willing to pay for a longer length sequel.

Story got me good; play it all at once for maximum effect. Possibly the best storyline I have ever seen in a mobile game, let alone a free one. The limited-perspective, data-driven take on a heart-wrenching narrative, combined with the antics of Mother and Rogue, playful jabs at the freemium paradigm, and excellent overall pacing and flow had me on an emotional rollercoaster as I played through the story. Maybe it's just because I'm up late, but I really felt for the characters at times, and I can't help but wonder if some of the "real world" narrative is based on real life. I could go on and on about how good the gameplay is as well, but the story is what got to me the most.

Epic. I never write reviews. But that game is so awesome that I have to write one. The story is amazongly lovely (biggest reason why I continued playing was, I wanted to find out how the game ends. That almost never is the case when I play iPhone games), the gameplay is extremely well done and the game magically manages to not being too hard. I did beat every single level with doing all objectives. It was hard sometimes but not frustrating. Oh and the grafics are pretty good too! I‘m so sad that the game is over quite fast but I‘d hope so much if there would be a Data Wing 2 with exact same gameplay but just a different story. PLEASE MAKE ANOTHER DATA WING GAME

Amazing Game Overall with a Mysterious Story. This game if outstanding, so much so I can barely put my feelings into words. The story is superb with its mysteries (ex. why did Mother take away DATA WING's vilify to speak, what does The User mean by "gifted?"), the music is greatly conducted, and hacking the payloads is a simple and fun challenge! I haven't tried the newest update (of August 21) yet, but I hope it decreases the difficulty of Skirmish levels. Also, Dan, it would be wonderful if you can add a Reset feature (because I really wanna try the ending were you COMPLETELY follow Mother's orders in The Prism). It would also be cool if you could add a Multiplayer Race that connects different people with GameCenter. Also a Home Screen ChatRoom would be nice. Sincerely, EffectiveOrb

Stoner aproved. This game is absolutely amazing. I literally have no complaints. I downloaded it today and I've already played it more than just about any game on my phone. Im absolutely blitzed playing and this music combined with the flow of the game is so captivating. Theres never glitches. If something goes wrong it was your fault. The feeling of racing through the same exact short track over and over 50 different times just to shave milliseconds off your best time is so satisfying, and when you finally hit all the corners perfectly and beat your time it feels so rewarding. I don't think I'm very far in the game but so far an actual story seems to be developing too. This game is simply amazing. Well done manufacturer’s!

Excellent. I must say, I'm pleasantly surprised with the quality of this game. The visuals look amazing. They are quite charming in their aesthetic and the music is fantastic. The personality of the various characters is quite well done and the humour arising from a construct attempting to understand its creators and those it serves made me laugh and smile. The one downside is that, for me, the game can be quite difficult. I spent a very long time stuck on some levels, especially ones where you have to complete a course under a certain amount of time, or where the gravity was modified. Overall, though, I am very happy with the time I spent playing. (As a bonus, I sent an email to the address contained within the game and received several responses. The characterisation is excellent and it was quite enjoyable chatting to whoever was on the other end.)

I would give this all the stars. This is an excellent game. It can be a bit difficult to master at first, but the challenge is refreshing. Not too hard or too easy. As for the visuals, they perfectly reflect the style of the virtual system the game is based in. The characters each have their own unique personality and that I got attached to quickly. As for the story, it is also easy to get attached to it and it keeps you coming back for more. A shining example as to what the app store needs more of.. Being already a vaporwave fan, the soundtrack made listening to this great. The colourful and creative visuals made looking at this great. The challenging gameplay and unique levels made playing this great. Even the fact that someone could gloss over the story of the user if the wanted to is great. Everything about this game is great and the fact that it was made by a small creator because they wanted to is even better. Cannot recommend this game enough!

Data wing combines a good story line with good puzzle and race game mechanics to make the game seem fresh and never boring. It also has great music and good coding jokes and personalities with characters to make the game seem alive. The game has no explicit content a 2 year old could play it and for those seeking a challenge there is some hard challenge events that are optional. The game is free with no micro transactions (the gems are a lie) so you can enjoy 100% free and well made content. Beautiful, hard, learning curve's a bit steep. I see the other glowing reviews, so I'm probably in the minority, but I'll provide one minority opinion anyway: The controls are hard. Too hard for me. I've hit a frustration point, I might give up on the game. A mode where the level turns around you would help, with left and right controls always meaning left and right. Definitely some more practice space at the start would be oh so welcome. If the key skill is skidding off walls while controlling thrust direction that changes sense when you're pointing down, then just a practice circular wall to calibrate your senses would be so useful. All else seems perfect as far as I've played, game looks beautiful, is clever and cute.

MAKE A SEQUEL. This game is excellent. When you first start it up you think it's another generic top down racing game. But it's more than that. Everything from the vaporwave type soundtrack to the heart braking story all the way to the genius race controls, this game deserves a sequel. I feel bad that there were no ads. Something there should be more of. Normally I flick through games and just remove them from all the ads or payments they want, but I found this game had none, no ads, no ask of money for credits, just pure gameplay as games should be, it looks great and plays great, I had fun for a few hours of this, biggest downside is it's quite heavy on battery drain, going though about 70% in and hour or so, I won't say to much but this is one of my few recommended games and it's a really good story.

Arcade racer and puzzler that dares to be something more. There’s nothing super original about the gameplay here, though it’s polished and well executed with just the right amount of challenge. Where DATA WING stands out is with its story, which is beautifully done with buckets of atmosphere.

Best game I’ve ever played!. The reason this game was the best, is because of its cliffhanging levels. I was playing till my phone went flat, and could not wait to get back on! Too hard.. This game is amazing all round, but most levels feel way to challenging, teeth grindingly painful. Most of the time I’d quit from the shear difficulty of the game. Also at the end there’s nothing really to do. The shiny gems are a nice motivation but are quite pointless.

Best game on AppStore. Honestly this is the best mobile game I have played before hands down. It combines a good story with fun, challenging but simplistic gameplay and is not riddled with ads. Seriously you should try it.

Don’t hesitate, get the game. Immersive plot, incredible atmosphere, all around an amazing experience. I recommend this game 100% The controls are just difficult enough to add an element of challenge but they’re not impossible. The levels can either be on the easier side or the player can choose to keep playing a level to get better achievements. This presents a challenge for any skill group and opens up the game to all players. The plot is so good, I can’t even express how much I loved it. I was fully invested in all the characters and by the end of the game I didn’t feel like a player, I became the character I saw before me. The characters were relatable and emotional, something I hadn’t expected going into the game. The whole thing was a pleasant surprise. Additionally, the entire game is free to play. Personally I would have payed money for the experience but it was refreshing to see a game that didn’t trick you into playing half of it and then not deliver the end until you payed. There is no form of in game currency and nothing to buy to help you complete the game. I really enjoyed that and hope to see more of it in future games. Overall, this is the best mobile game I’ve ever had the privilege to play and everyone should have the chance to play it.

Simple but Addictive. In my search for a new and exciting game to play I was looking for a free game that didn't have adds pop up every time you play. (Pretty hard to find these days.) This game has checked every single box for me it was fun, there was some challenging parts to it. But most importantly it was easy to play, just about any one could pick up this game and learn the basics almost instantly. My only Complainant is it was so much fun that I flew threw the game in a couple of hours. Now I need to find a new game to play 😭😢. Message for the Creators: I think in the future it would be cool to add in a multiplayer mode were you could race with others and design your own course. Also it might be interesting to use some of the shiny shards to purchase different skins for your arrow or to purchase new course backgrounds.

Brilliantly Outstanding. I usually get bored of mobile games. Most are filled to the brim with ads and their gimmick is only temporarily fun. However, DATA WING has marvelled me. DATA WING’s aesthetic is wonderfully done all the way from the title screen to the story the characters immerse the audience into. The script is fascinatingly well written and has an adorkable feel to it that I adore. The gameplay doesn’t get old and always introduces new features in a great way (it also helped me learn some binary :D). So good. I remember playing this along time ago and never thinking much of it. Then I saw it referenced in a video and instantly started playing it again. This game was fantastic!. I’ve searched for so many games but none of them compare to this. Most games have a simple goal and a bunch of ads in them, and they get very boring to the point where you want to delete the game. I was searching for some actual fun games and this one came up, it seemed really fun so I installed it. There aren’t any ads, which is strange but cool, and the game has a entire plot to it. It’s really fun to play and I would definitely recommend it!

Hands down.. Get this game! It's can be difficult at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's super intuitive and fun to play. It somehow makes being your best scores fun, where with most games you dread going back to a level just because it shows you a new one of beating a score. I'm not much of a mobile gamer, I find they lack depth and playability, but this game is hands down my favorite to date, in having a hard time putting it down! Get it!

We need more games like this. Aight cool game and all but the ability to disable ur ghost friend would be nice and also fix the level chem trails or any level that has you complete multiple laps in a time limit, the ghost shows your best lap of that set of 3 instead of your best lap overall. Same with the highlighted times. It makes it hard to know if you’re doing better. Ok this game is like 2 years old so these won’t get implemented likely but still it would be nice

This Is Beautiful. Between great graphics, unique themes, and brilliant game mechanics; this game was an awesome play through. The only thing I'm left with is a longing for more. What I would really like to see is a second installment or an update that adds a second play through with added challenges, possible shortcuts, or more variety to continue on the adventure. Even a multiplayer racing feature would be a great addition. Love the work❤️ please make more.

Amazingly Relaxing and NO ADs !!!!!. I was very doubtful of a game about a triangle. I had passed it over several times, read the reviews and figured why not? This game is hands down a solid 4 stars! The graphics while minimal are phenomenal. The game play can be difficult but the selection of music makes several retries tolerable. The music is composed of several types of instrumentals to include a hint of EDM. Do your self a favor TRY this game. The only reason I gave four stars, game ended to soon, I was enjoying it too much.

Incredible. This game truly raises the bar for all mobile games. It combines fun and challenging gameplay with a humorous, witty storyline, and plenty of levels to optimize your high score on. My only complaint is that the story is a tad short, but hey, It's free! Completely free! No micro transactions or anything. In the story, the sentient iPhone system, nicknamed mother, does give you "shiny gems" as a reward, but the shiny gems are really nothing more than a sly poke at in-app purchases, as you can't even do anything with them. Overall, a great game, and one that I hope you'll try out.

So many mobile games demand endless amounts of time and reward you with ad after ad. This is a challenging yet simple and fun game with a great soundtrack that keeps you engaged with a short story along the way. No adds. You are rewarded with currency that you have no way to spend, satirically mocking the monotonous pay to play genre.

Stunning. This game is filled with character and many elements that other games just don’t have, it is fun, intriguing and addicting, In the game you control a little data wing to carry out tasks for the mother, who carries out tasks for the user, you have to navigate your way through courses with stunning and amazing visuals, great gameplay and control, and one of the best atmospheres a game can have, it does not ever get boring, when you play it, you just never want to stop, one of the best games I have ever played hands down.

I'm keeping this forever.. The music is so chill and too good, the screen effects are amazing, the game is very challenging to get used to, but once you do it's 1000x more enjoyable. Literally the only problem I have, is that there really should be a multiplayer. I don't know if there's already an explanation to why there won't be one, but a multiplayer mode would make this game last literally forever. In my opinion, a level editor would go well with this too. Creating levels for people to zip around and get the fastest time, different modes and game styles that people can vote in playing for that round, all of this would give this game infinite shelf life, on top of its already infinite shelf life. 5 stars is definitely the appropriate rating, but a multiplayer mode would make it a 10.

The Best Mobile Game I’ve Ever Played. Before I start the review, I just have to say wow. This game is incredible. The story is short and leaves you thinking. The gameplay is fun and keeps you on edge. The characters (a whole 2 of them!) have their own unique personalities and quirks. The little talks Mother does are fantastic. The User’s struggle is deep and tragic, and Mother’s attempt at trying to interpret it adds a lot of depth. This game changes you your perspective of life. You see just how silly our puny lives looks from a machines perspective. Incredible.

All around great, just one complaint. This game is gorgeous and fun but was still lacking in content in my opinion. The movement system and your ability to gain speed on walls is very challenging yet fun and the game didn’t rely on this enough. The story has missions that have simple puzzles and missions that have racing with a timer or lap times. This game really shines in these races but they are not very long and there aren’t many. Also you gain coins or money throughout the game but there is nothing to spend it on. So altogether this game is a solid 8/10 and could just use more racing and cosmetics.

Wonderful but one thing. I love this game by far my favorite in all the App Store I only have one little suggestion that would make it 100 times better and that is add a infinite course or like an arcade level or more fun ghost races. The reason for this is because once I finished the levels there was nothing else to do except play again but it wasn’t appealing any more. If you add those things your game will become better then it is now.

His other title, Skyward Journey, is another gem... and this? This game is a masterpiece. Loved the story and playful humor, the gameplay is fun and requires the skill of the player rather than simply playing itself. You have a clever mind Dan. That’s why I want you to keep going. I hope you answer the call of the many you inspire, never mind how the numbers compare to others.

Absolutely love the game. Harder tracks please!. The game is fantastic. I beat it fairly quick (3-4 hours) but it also depends on how much you complete. I beat 100% of the possible levels. I love this game and desperately hope that you add levels including more difficult tracks/stages. The racing and lap tracks are my absolute favorite. Makes me feel like I'm in an intense car race or drifting. They did a great job with physics and mechanics in this game. Feels very polished and sleek. I can't get enough of this game and wish you would make it much more challenging.

EXCELLENT! Vibrant dreamretro bliss.. Reminds me of Jeff Minter's amazing Llamasoft games on the early iPad which are, sadly, no longer available. This game is so incredibly relaxing. The soundtrack really delivers, along with smooth, dreamy visuals. This would be a real treat in virtual reality if it were somehow possible. Feels like surfing IRC on magic mushrooms. I love it! Also I really disagree with people saying it's too short. Content invites mastery, is plentiful, and replayable. Best iOS game I have played, hands down.. This is the best iOS game I’ve played, and I’ve played plenty of them. It perfectly blends a mysterious and intriguing story, gorgeous visuals, fantastic music (vaporware ftw), and a fun and versatile mechanic that doesn’t grow old. The play style ranged between fast paced, and more exploratory type. Plus different gravity levels changes the movement style in an interesting way. Overall, a very very good game. Clearly a lot of work went into this, and it paid off tremendously.

A wild ride. I loved every minute of this game. Yes there are parts where I wanted to pull out my hair from how hard it was, but that’s what made me keep going. The pay off of finishing each level made you want to keep going. Even the small bit of story you got made me want to learn more about the user and her life. I really hope something comes up to finish off the user’s story. Besides that I’m happy with the ending. I definitely will be play this more than once. 10/10

Reminds me of Portal 2. Gameplay is fun. You steer with minimalist controls - tap on the left and the ship turns left, tap right and you turn right. The levels are mainly speed run challenges; moderately challenging but not too frustrating, I’ve been able to complete most levels within 5 attempts. The story was a pleasant surprise! You get some clever banter from a computer who perceives you, the player, to be a simple minded creature, completing tasks for him in exchange for useless “shiny gems.” It’s a good game so far; if you enjoyed GLaDOS and Wheatley rom Portal then you’ll like this game.

Just wow!. It's been so long since I've found a game with an actual ending that doesn't take tons of money or months of monotonous farming gameplay to beat! No intrusive ads either. It's a beautifully designed game that definitely shouldn't be free, but I'm happy to have had the benefit of playing such an awesome free game. Stunning visuals, challenging but not impossible, amazing music, pleasing SFX, and a captivating story that will keep you glued to your phone to see what happens next! Game worthy of a console or PC. This game is the best IOS game in my opinion. It’s story is amazing and the game mechanics are well thought out and easy to learn. Everything is taught to you at a great pace and the documents you can collect aren’t insanely difficult to get. This is a game I’d expect from a bigger team but this game was made by one guy (from my knowledge anyway). This is something I’d expect to find on my Xbox or computer but it’s o my phone and plays really well. Did I mention no ads?

CAN'T RECOMMEND IT ENOUGH. There's one other game that comes to mind as I played through this game: Portal. Both are short puzzles with storylines that unfold as you go along, both include a character that guides you along the way that has their own ulterior motives, and both games are fresh and memorable. Like Portal, I loved this game the more I played it and the more the story unfolded. My ONLY criticism is that there be a way to reset the game and play the storyline over again without re-downloading the app, but that won't take away from the score I give it. Best game I ever downloaded.

Why is there a story?. So this game is actually pretty fun. But I would like to tell the authors of it: why on earth is there the stupid story mode. It slows the game down SO much. I don’t care about all of the stupid conversation happening with the computer. It just makes me have to click the screen 20 times before I can get to the next map. Anyway, the game mechanics are cool. But that part of it makes no sense and I don’t understand why you’d want to slow the game down with paragraphs of text between levels?

Awesome game!. I uh, normally don’t write reviews but I’d just thought I’d tell anyone playing this in the future that on the “Security Nexus” level, there’s a way to get out of bounds, though, interestingly enough, you can fly around to the blocked off finish line (the yellow things) that you saw earlier in the level, and complete it that way. Or, if you go to the actual goal you’re meant to out of bounds (the level is designed like that), you can trigger the little “cutscene” and make t accessible manually. I suggest trying it! It’s very interesting.

Freaking amazing!. This game is one of the best games I have ever played on mobile. The controls flow easily, the graphics are divine, and the music is spot on. The story mode is really interesting, and I love both the human and machine stories. Here is my one large request-please make more levels. Expand the story more and continue it. I want to experience the web in the game, and being a data wing there. That would be amazing! Anyways, great game! I love it! Keep up the great work!

Great Game!. This is one of the best games I've ever played! The soundtrack is unbeatable and original. The game isn't too challenging and is enjoyable for anyone to play. The visuals are amazing and the storyline is good for the most part. The only thing I can say I dislike about the game is that it doesn't show the final message and it leaves you guessing. One of the best mobile games ever made. Data wing is beautifully simple. A little time attack racing game with some simplistic graphics and two-button gameplay. That gameplay though is very addictive and fun. On top of that, you have a very nice little story to take you through the game that feels very genuine. It's short, but has some great story telling that will keep you engaged throughout. I completed the game in just a few hours of gameplay but I enjoyed every second of it

Not Optimized For Battery Management. After using this app for about a week now I’ve noticed how terrible it is for your battery and phone in general. My iPhone X gets really hot and drains battery very fast after playing a few levels. I dove into the settings to see if a fix was available and found that the “Optimize” button to be of no use — as well as — the “Graphics” button to disable the VFX in-game. With all of these new settings enabled, the game still ran very laggy, jittery. I’m not sure what is going on with this game under the hood, but I’m hopeful a small fix can make this game usable for iPhone X users.

UH-MAZE-ING. This dev wrote it and released it for free. Not only is it the complete opposite of the “pay to win” games, but it’s so fun and free. I’d have paid for a Pro version easily. It reminds me of so many games I loved in the past but with a new spin! Asteroids, X-Pilot, old Atari 2600 racing games. And the humor and background and music and everything is wonderful. The author poured a lot of care and love and creativity into this game. Please download this and try it out, nothing to lose, and a new favorite game if you like it! THANK YOU FOR THE GAME!!

Amazing Game. This is one of a very few games I ever rated, but I had to for this one. It treats the user as an intelligent being, leaving some elements to be discovered. Game play can be challenging, but never so much as to make me give up. The storylines intertwine beautifully. The only thing is I was left wanting more, or at least some closure. The Pinnacle of iPhone Gameplay. I have never rated a game before. There has never been a time where I thought a game was influential enough that I took the time to write a review. That being said, this game is different. This is, by far, the best iPhone game I have ever played. Beautifully crafted, detailed, and focused gameplay along with a story and meta-story that is captivating and fun. It's not too long--you can beat it in one day--but Dan Vogt has made this game completely free, so I cannot complain. Please, for the love of God, get this game.

This was done very well.. I don't ever play games on my phone. Not do I ever write reviews. Really. Every time I think I might want to play something, I'll download it and play it for maybe 1 or 2 minutes and remember why I don't really play games. This game however is something else. The concept and story are executed flawlessly. It's a novel idea,and I'm so surprised that this game is free. It's a bit short but it's the only game that I've ever played all the way through. Amazing. I don't usually write reviews, but I had to leave 5 stars for this game. The gameplay was much better than expected. I had thought it would mainly consist of racing and time-trials but it had a surprising amount of more adventure-y levels. The story was phenomenal, and I would strongly encourage any players to pick up the documents, since they really flesh it all out (despite being limited both in content and number, I became emotionally attached to the User through them) All in all it was worth WAY more than the $0 I spent on it. I would gladly pay $0.99 for it now, $5.99 if it had more levels, which brings me to my final point and only complaint: There are not that many levels, and the whole game can be completed in a day or two (unless you're like me and put off playing games for long intervals due to a short attention span). Besides that one of the best games on my phone.

Absolute Masterpiece. I downloaded this game on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. The gameplay alone should be enough to keep you enthralled, but throw in beautifully designed visuals and a compelling backstory (which somehow manages to encompass humor whilst referencing the subsystems of computer architecture) and you've got yourself an absolute masterpiece; its only flaw being that the story ends too quickly - a problem not many games can achieve these days: making you wish there was more. Creative, original, and a joy to play, I give this app 5 stars.

Sequel plz?. I have never once written a review in my life but I feel like I must. GET THIS GAME! It is free but I would get it if it cost $20. This is no doubt the most entrancing, fun, and for some reason disturbing game I have ever played. An amazing story, chill vaporwave music, and fun gameplay make this a must have. The story takes about 1.5-2.5 hours to complete based on whether you want to do everything. I bought this as a time waster for a plane ride but was instead fully immersed in an amazing experience.

Absolutely Shocked. I was incredibly surprised by this game when I realized that it didn't actually have paywalls. It runs incredibly smoothly and has pretty nice graphics along with no bugs; my only issue would be the soft controls. Other then that, this game is an amazing get, especially considering that it's free. But just a final warning, this game is tough. If you are a completionist, be prepared for a challenge. 10/10 Would pay for this.

A favorite. I was disappointed in how short it was. Storyline is great, controls are smooth and i love the difficulty increase. A clever game, ingenious. I tried hard to find something I didn’t like but there is a reason that Todd game has 4.9 stars. It’s an absolute masterpiece and deserves such praise. Well done, good for short bursts. I love the style of the game. It has a short and sweet story line, that is quickly achievable in short bursts of time. Allowing you to hop in and out of the game whenever you happen to need a bit of a distraction. After the Story is over, many of the levels let you compete with other players scores to get to a higher rank in Game Center, which gives it replay value. I personally turn of the bloom it comes with, it makes it look more clean.

Surprisingly really fun. I found this game to be really cool and different from usual games. This game took something that we all use in real life and put into a different view, which was in a fun way. We got to experience the way that data wings transfer our own data but also the different stages and challenges in the game allowed me to have a good time. I honestly think this game is incredibly enjoyable however I wish there was more to it or more games similar to this.

Amazing!. I absolutely love the idea of this game, I really hope there's a second game! If it's alright, I have an idea for one; Mother and Rogue are back again, and you, a new DATA WING, are to carry out all your old duties, but this time, a hacker got I to the computer's systems, adding viruses, and all other sorts of stuff, you have to go and get rid of the Viruses before the User gets rid of the computer, in which would erase Mother and Rogue! This is just an idea, it would be awesome to see it happen e.e

DATA WING. Thanks for taking your time to read: I love it. The way you skim through the levels in such a way it’s so satisfying to play. Just one problem: You’re able to beat the game in around 3 hours. Once you do that, well, yeah... you’re done. Sure you can replay levels but that’s not the same... Two ways to fix it: 1. Another Campaign. This game’s story is so good, I loved it. It was just short. 2. A Level Creator. This would allow the player to have (basically) infinite levels to play, and the developer(s?) don’t need to make levels themselves, only one program that allows players to make their own levels (and possibly own “devices” if you catch my drift.) (Honorable Mention): Add a reset progress button so I can experience the full story again. Solve the problem, and you’ll get five stars from me. -460

Outstanding.. The plethora of good reviews this game has is for good reason, honestly I never knew such a simple concept could be so creatively put together into a artwork and masterpiece. And even better it’s free? Data wing stands out amongst other games, definitely worth checking it out, I’d bet money 99.9% of people would enjoy it, everything from the music to the themes, to the narrative, this game is a pick up play once and it speaks for itself troupe of game, gotta give it to the developers, if there was a way to help you guys out I would, thank you for this masterpiece

Way too hard. Yeah you read the title right. Before I address the title, let me say, this game is amazing and deserves to be paid for instead of free. However, this game has way too many difficulty spikes. The game is fun the first few minutes but as soon as the wall speed mechanic is introduced plus the time trial tracks, the game gets so much harder. You have to have almost perfect input to beat the challenges, and I do mean almost perfect. I have a better chance of finding a dollar on the street then beating one of the levels. I eventually will but it will take forever. Regardless, this game deserves a download.

Wow. Where do I begin, I was super skeptical just because it’s hard to find a good mobile game that isn’t poisoned with ads and micro transactions which ruins the gameplay. I instantly got hooked after the first level and absolutely love the story so far. I hope I never finish it because I definitely want more of this and I’d be willing to pay for a game like this as long as there aren’t annoying pop ups as well as micro transactions. Fantastic free game!. Many free games smash you with ad after ad and it’s very frustrating. This game, as far as I’ve seen has no ads! The game is very well polished and fun with a unique mechanic of utilizing the thrust off the back of your ship (the Data Wing) to increase your speed. It’s a very well polished idea that lets you “grind” off the walls but you need to be careful and precise so you don’t actually hit the walls and lose all your speed. The game has a fun little story line with a GLADoS like AI called “Mother” who has the same sort of attitude and snark about them. The soundtrack is this wonderful sort of 80’s vapor wave thing going on, really good music and it makes the game even better. A great well polished game with good gameplay, a fun little storyline, great original soundtrack, and it’s free. Really should be in its own category or games on the App Store called “actually really good free games”.
