Works as expected. Only thing I think it needs is to display the note of the sound played. A, A#, etc.
Shows ads, limited functionality. Annoying to set desired frequency as slider is imprecise and +/- buttons neither repeat nor accelerate. App shows ads, first for company’s own White Noise app (unobjectionable), then animated random ads by Google (inexcusable). Deleted after one use.
Very Good for Free. The same only thing I don’t like is the way Frequency is selected. This is difficult and time consuming. There should be a fine tuning option, or even better, a manual entry.
Good utility, but could be improved. The sound output drops out while dragging the frequency slider, instead of producing a continuous tone. The frequency slider is also a bit unstable, swishing the frequency up/down by occasionally significant amounts when my finger lifts off the control, which requires using the fine-tuner to restore the desired setting. If you want to dial in a frequency to match another source, this tool will not be precise enough for you.
Fun app for bored highschoolers.. Fun app. Got it in spring 2017 when I was an incredibly awkward high schooler. Played with it a couple times, and then… It’s fun that you can test how low and how high your ears can hear. And then of course actually using it for what you’re supposed to. But for board ninth graders with ear buds, maybe have a countdown from 20 Hz to 1 Hz. no humans can’t generally hear below 20 Hz. Or above 20 kHz. And this app goes to 22 kHz. So…
Big time now. It’s a greater overall I mean doing research and great frequencies on it. You could set the frequency between 20 and 20,000 Hz. I love it it’s one of the big times.
OKAY. While the actual sounds seem okay, the endless advertising made this an unworthy app.
Works well, but…. 1) I wish I could pay money to get rid of these stupid ads. 2) I wish you had more options for changing the frequency: just type it in, or add 10 or 25 at a time, not just one. The slider is way too coarse.
Works great for me. What I really like about this app, is that; 1. It doesn’t go quiet when you shut down your screen to save phone battery. 2. It saves your Hz from your previous session. Nice job.
Tons of potential. I love that it’s simple, but it’s a little bit too simple. Its almost impossible to choose a specific frequency on the high end. There’s a plus and minus button that moves up or down one single hz, which is practical at 60 hz, but silly at 16,237. You can also drag the slider but its nearly impossible to set it to 16,000 or 18,000 or 15,500, or anything specific. You have to settle for 18,342 and be grateful that you got that close, or maybe if you really want push the minus button 342 times to get to your goal frequency. Also it doesn’t make sounds while you’re sliding the slider. Perhaps being able to zoom in on the frequency spectrum to get to specific spots, or as Apple does, a low speed scrub as you move your finger further from the slider. Idk, but it needs something. Almost a great app, but falls short of being useful.
Simple and effective. I like how simple and effective this tone generator app is. I already purchased White Noise from this company and use it regularly to create a tranquil atmosphere at home or in the office. I’d love to have some additional features in this tone generator app. 1. Pulse - the user can have the tone pulse on and off automatically. Allow the user to select the length of “on” time and “off” time. 2. Audio Channel - the user can select which audio channel(s) the tone is sent through. Allow the user to select an option to alternate sending the tone to the left and right audio channels. Allow the user to set the switching speed to control how often the tone switches between the left and right audio channels. The audio channel options could be: - Stereo - Left Channel - Right Channel - Alternate Channels (with speed selection of “Alternate ____ times per minute”) Thanks for great apps!
Very useful. This is very useful app for all tuning needs, with a beautifully simple and straight-forward user interface. Well done, thank you.
Perfect. This is so nice and convenient, thanks to the developers
Works Fine. It does what it's supposed to do. I don't use it for anything advanced, just for unity gain on a simple A/V setup. Cheap & easy solution.
Where did the cast option go?. I would like to cast over WiFi. Please add that option and you’re good
Great tone app. One of the best free tone generators. The only suggestion I would make is to add the ability to manually enter the tone frequency.
Good app. I like this app. It’s quick and easy. I do have some suggestions... The slider makes it a little difficult to hone in on a freq. In addition to the plus/minus buttons for incremental adjustment, maybe a 20 Hz jump button to get you close faster? Also, an octave jump button would be cool.
It’s good. I get to make my mom schedule an appointment with an ear doctor
Does exactly what it says it does. Kudos to the developer for resisting the temptation to add more features.
Great app from a great developer.. Does exactly what it says. I use it for checking the frequency of the ringing in my ears due to tinnitus. Put in a set of headphones, adjust volume and center frequency until they match.
Hard to fine tune pitch. 5 orders of magnitude variation in frequency and our choice for adjusting frequency is a slider or a +1 button? Needs some fine tuning for entering a number and some kind of logarithmic step size.
I really enjoy this app but….. I really wish this came with a timer! If I could set timers so I can meditate or fall asleep to these tons and then have them automatically shut off, that would be perfect. PLEASE ADD THIS!!!
Update Removed Key Feature. The app worked great until they did an update that took away the visual for volume display. Now you are unable to know what volume percent you are at when increasing it.
Tone generator. Simple to use and adjust the frequency.
Is there a premium version to avoid ads?. Looking to get rid of ads! Thanks!
You can't turn off the sound. I would give it 0 stars if I could. I downloaded this app a while ago. I intended to use to as a tuning app for my cello. I played a few frequencies and apparently they didn't turn off. I recently reopened the app, only to hear 2 notes playing at once, but it said it was paused. I could unpause it at a different frequency, and it showed a play button. I muted it, and tried swiping up to pause it through the iPhone menu, but that did not work either. It showed "not playing." I deleted it immediately. I still hear it in the way that you can see stuff when you close your eyes.
Very limited.. This app will not perform automatic sweeps. It won’t even let you do manual sweeps. When you switch from one frequency to another it takes several seconds for the app to respond. It’s not terrible, it’s just not what I was looking for.
It works perfectly.. It’s free so it has annoying ads. No way to pay to turn them off.
I like 38 hz find the one that is good for you. It worked for me. Read about Tesla.. I like 38 hz it works for me find the one that works for you. Read about Tesla. I started about 3 weeks ago and I have been reading about light frequency and power. This application is great I donated for further research. You don’t have to donate anything only if you wish.
Seems to work. I’ve only been using this app for about a week or two. However I think I’m getting some benefits. I have a brain injury caused by a medicine that was not nearly as safe as I hoped it might be. When I use the 40hz tone...turned up pretty loud and with a lot of bass... I seem to be able to do things better. I’m very happy to see ANY improvements at all. I’ll keep using it. Maybe I’ll get even better! Thanks very much for this app!
Works, could be loader. Needs more volume but works well otherwise.
Controls are inefficient. The app is fine and works as advertised. However, there should be a way to jump by increments larger than 1 (I.e. a 10x and 100x button) since trying to dial in a specific frequency via the slider is nearly impossible.
Love this App. Easy to use and I love the fact that you can save your frequently used tones.
Great app!. Use it every night to create unique tones
Sound frequency generator. Very simple and right to the point. Great and a very broad spectrum of frequencies.
Simple and effective. Easy to use, and no issues so far
Works. Works very nicely
Good app 5 stars would recommend.. You can use it to train your dog.
Audio generator. Need a straight sine wave generator for testing guitar amplifiers. Downloaded the app and in 5 minutes had it hooked up to my oscilloscope. Great signal selectable In 1 hz increments from 20 hz to 20 khz. I’m an old guy and couldn’t believe how much my hearing had degraded. Great app for what I needed. Simple to use. Keep up the great work.
Nice. It hurt many peoples ears and I approve especially since it goes up to 22k Hz
Simple and Effective (Updated Review). After quite some time of using this application without a means of typing in an exact desired frequency, the developer has enhanced the app by adding such functionality. This makes the application one of the cleanest and easiest ones to use in its class. I'd highly recommend Tone Gen if all you need is a simple frequency generator.
Great. It does what it’s supposed to and the screen can be off what more can you ask for :) I’d pay for an EQ on an app like this you could really make some complex tones and explore the frequencies better
Tones for relaxation. This app is fantastic, use it while working in a high stress job .
Best tuning app ever!. Best tuning app ever. Accurate tones every time! I love this app!
Could use a frequency sweep feature. It would be nice if you could drag the side for a continuous frequency, but it stops and clicks every time you change it, making a frequency sweep impossible. But what do you want for free?
Update. Still loving this app. Complaints are mostly user inconvenience but I had no troubles. Very easy and loud /vibrates enough to use as treatment for pains and ailments. Tesla would be proud 🙏🏼
Not convenient. Only way to get to a certain frequency is using a slider or a plus and minus button you can’t hold down. Can take a little too long to get the frequency you are looking for using just the slider and individually pressing plus and minus each time, many apps like this in the store, recommend any other one
Disappointed. Seriously? You DON’T offer 110 hz??!?! How hard would that be? I’m very disappointed.
Works well. Needs to be easier to select a frequency. Causes my phone to heat up.
Works great to track down vibrations. I downloaded this app to generate tones to help me locate sources of vibration in my car. Lots of vibration when the subwoofer is active between 20-70 Hz. Works well! Simple, clean interface.

Bad. A scam app try any other first
Useful. I practically use this everyday to experiment with different frequencies And there no ads bonus
the shogun. frozen dagger and the tv screen booth must be dynamo
Save option. Save option and easy access to those frequencies?
Forget fine tuning. Can't fine tune. skimp on features.. instant in your face advertising
hey 440. Nice mate. Helps me a lot. Gonna pass it on as a musical tool. Fun.
Thanks 🙏. I am a little different but it’s just not going to happen for me and I wanna hope l can????????????????🌈🌹PnW💋™️🎸🎹
Works perfectly. You can use it while the app is closed! Perfect way to prove it isn’t you. Shows the sound wave things which is a nice touch! One improvement could be if you held the plus or minus buttons it would gradually go down this would make it easier to be on the same frequency as a friend to make it louder.
Great app. Lets me create tones that nobody can hear.
Very basic. I uninstalled this after 5 minutes. Can’t sweep signal as it cuts out whenever you adjust frequency. Too simple, and the ad bar is annoying.
The ads are a pain!. Good easy to use app but where is the option to get rid of the ads? I’m never going to buy something from someone that gets in my face like that.

Sick app. Love playing this in class to make everyone cry
Does what it says on the tin. 5/5, this app creates a tone, used it for a physics lab. The app icon also looks a lot like the Saudi flag
Max vol isnt max vol.. Wile this app is easy to use, the amplitude of the wave form is not generated at maximum level ( 1 to -1) even if your volume is maxed. Using a test tone on youtube shows the amplitude difference.
Awesome app!!!. This app is amazing ! tested with fft sound spectrum analyser and i'm impressed really !!! from 50hz to full 22khz available all magnitudes of 128 frequency bins are exactly in range !!! You guys are rock down there !!!
Good. Good for my school 😌
Garbage. Ads, ads, ads. I'm sick of ad-supported apps that don't tell you they are before you download them. I'd pay up front if they kept the ads out and said so! But this company lost any future purchases from me because they're dishonest. Also, the slider is way too short to quickly dial in an exact frequency. How about doing what Apple does and make the slider more sensitive as you pull away from it up or down. The solutions are there, and they're easy to implement, but developers just don't give a crap anymore. It's all about ads revenue. Go to hell.
ITS GREAT. the sounds are right ever high or low. ITS THE BEST
Facile d'utilisation. Publicité peu intrusive. Fonctionne bien.
Great app. Love this for testing
Does the job .... ... exactly as advertised. Easy to use, good functionality, great volume. Very pleased
Great App. It’s a great app for listening to desired frequencies.

Close, but not so. Setting frequencies of sounds is easy, until you are trying to tune a musical instrument. The problem is that you cannot set decimal fractions. Middle C is523.25 MHz. Cannot set the “.25” decimal to make the correct note. Further, I am writing this review on a nearly black screen with deep purple text. Dark mode nor light mode does not solve this issue.
Short Review of This App. Great app; keep up the great work.
Audio generator. What is exactly what I was looking for
Sound. Great, for vibrating crystals !!!
Works great. Just what I needed for 50 Hz tone to put new surrounds on a pair of speakers
Tone generator. Nice app.
This is a great app!. This app help me fine the frequency of the ringing in my ears. Cool!
Great app. Love it!
Awesome app. I annoyed my friend so bad today I got punched.😁
Sound frequency generator. Very simple and right to the point. Great and a very broad spectrum of frequencies.
Works well. Needs to be easier to select a frequency. Causes my phone to heat up.
Good job. Good job
Use for generating a Healing frequency. Love this as a therapy
Nice. It hurt many peoples ears and I approve especially since it goes up to 22k Hz
I TRANSPORTED TO SEDONA. It’s true
Review. This app is great! It gives you tones from 25 hertz to 22000 hertz also your dog could try it to it is amazing
Sine tone generator. Just what I need to set the gains on my amps. 20hz to 20,000hz. In 10 hz increments.
Not good. Not good
Would give 0 stars if I could. It’s NOT an oscilloscope. It’s a waste of time app that actually just plays sounds from 20hZ to 22000hZ and displays a PRESET imAge. Don’t waste your time
Professor Deva. Absolutely elegant & awesome app!
Works. Works very nicely
What note?. In the description of the app, it says 440 Hz is the low E note on guitar. Au contraire, mon frere. Guess again. Otherwise, I haven't opened the app yet.
Good sine wave tool. Good simple test tone oscillator
OKAY. While the actual sounds seem okay, the endless advertising made this an unworthy app.
Nice. I love it so much it’s great
No sound. No sound on either of my two devices. Does this really work with iOS 15
Useful. 440HZ world? Crack open
It works!. Yup
Tone generator. Simple to use and adjust the frequency.
Stupid advertisement covers “Play” button’. Now a Useless app I deleted it.
Simple and efficient. Generate tones. Nothin fancy.
Great tool for sound testing.. Works great
Dead on arrival.. No tone coming out of this app.
It’s good. I get to make my mom schedule an appointment with an ear doctor
Pretty cool 😎. Just what I needed for the project I’m working on! Thanks guys 👍🏻
Does adjust to landscape mode. Does adjust to landscape mode which is REALLY annoying on iPads with keyboard stands.
Can’t even record more than once! Sucked!!!. It really deserves a fat zero!!!
Stopped working. For some reason it stopped working. It worked for awhile then just quit producing a sound.
Very epic. You can annoy the hell out of people with hi frequency’s
This does work on an M1 Mac. I gave it a try. It works.
The best. Awesome
It works. Does what it says
nice. its a good app it outputs is all tones well it could use a sound booster or other kinds of tone settings but other than that its awesome
