Freezes when saving to iCloud—endless spinning. Game is fun, but when saving to iCloud, it spins endlessly and never stops.

Is this still active?. The game is great but is the beholder 3 coming out anytime soon or is this a dead project?

Absolutely amazing!!!. I love the concept of the game. They are sooooo many things to explore and discover. Defiant worth the money! I can’t wait for the next DLC to come up and I promise not to look up solutions to achievements. 🙃 Keep it up developers.... I mean Ministry. 👍🏼

Really Good!. This game is great. Great concept and you begin to feel for the characters in such a short time! Although, some tasks are a bit weird. Money is a bit hard to obtain, so some things that require lots should maybe cut down a bit. Other than that, great game! Worth it!

Buggy. Game is a too buggy and the gameplay is a bit strange. The graphics are great. The story line is okay, it gets a bit odd and muddled.

I feel like a dope. Do not get it. Can't avoid murder by govt thugs, even if I hit every goal. And I'm talking first round stuff here. I don't know if I feel dopier for not understanding or for spending so long trying to. Or (option 3!) for spending so much time staring at animated people just standing there. I'm desperate for a fun, story-based game to escape into. Help me make this one fun! What am I missing?

A lovely game.. I don't have a lot of free time on my hands, but when I do I try to play Beholder. It's a great game with quirky, dark humor. I won't go into detail but if you're the kind to invest in a game's characters and story, this could be for you. I only have minor criticisms. Firstly, I think if you tap on a person, Carl should automatically move to them and initiate conversation, rather than having to tap on a spot near the person, then tapping them to start conversation. It's kind of annoying when I want to speak to someone and Carl just stands there and doesn't walk over to them. It's just a fluidity thing. Secondly, we should be able to zoom the camera in further. At the closest zoom level it's still a little too far out. Besides that, i love Beholder. I hope there's a sequel of some sort where we can travel to other locations and have a relatively open world!

Maybe.... I love this game because it rewards the devious and duplicitous. Maybe I love it because it involves choices that are not so straightforward or without consequence. Whatever the reason, this game is really wonderful and worth every penny. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because some of the storylines do not have the same range of choice as others, and it makes some of the game feel locked in instead of decision determined. Personally I killed the general without the bomb almost every time and would really have liked the ability to use the bomb on the chemist. (Like a little reward for being clever and having a spare bomb on hand.)

Great game, but pricey. I love the game, it super fun and every choice you make has an outcome. My first game I got shot by a sailor:). It's very interactive and what you do make a difference. The only changes I would make is if you steal something then there is a siren for 10 seconds then the police come. Otherwise it's kind of ridiculous how much you arrested. Also the blissful sleep mode has an error. It says it costs .99 but when you buy it it charges you 1.99. I don't know if this is a mistake or if this is happening on purpose,but please fix the mistake. Thanks

Great game.... ...but I'm having an issue with the one quest about bringing chocolate - it won't complete even though I have said chocolate in my inventory. Anyone else had that problem?

Please fix the bug. Jacob Manishek showed up the first time I played with the tutorial, I restarted the game without the tutorial and he will not show up. I’ve done everything the ministry told me to, and talked to everyone and even called the ministry again, but no luck. The timer runs out and he never shows up. A lot of other people experienced this online. Bummer, otherwise it would be a great game.

Game freezes on iPhone7. Can’t get pass the intro of the game, soon as I earn my first cash and rep points and talk to my boss, game won’t make it passed that conversation. First refund I’m ever doing for App Store :/

The state is watching and so should you. Finally this gem of government activity to uproot those who rise against the motherland has been released on handheld format, so we can do the snooping everywhere we go! Long live our glorious motherland! Buy it, comrade!

Worth the money. I saw this game thinking it would be some sort of dumb thing. But really when you get in the game it really feels like you are the main character. This is by far one of my favorite games.

Language Glitch. Plz fix language glitch. After I close the app and reopen it. It’s in a different language.

Fun for a while, but... As I find with many iPhone, iPad games, this was fun for a while but once I got through the story two-three times, I started just kind of getting sick of running through the same old same old predicaments. I wish it had a little bit more randomness to it. Or even a levels scheme, where if you survive through one section of the story you can keep running the apartment with randomized tenants or move on to a new apartment complex or something.

Good! But... I Love this game, but it’s to predictable. You keep playing the game, and you know what’s going to happen. You should add a endless mode where it’s randomized and you don’t know what’s going to happen next

Seems fun but.... Game looks like a lot of fun but it keeps freezing at the same spot after hanging second camera, completely locks my IPhone 6.

True “Choices” Game. Wow, this game has been a heck of a ride! So many different pathways to take, some better than others. Some even deadly! It’s the perfect mix of dystopian and surreal. It’s got a great storyline and lots of cool features. The art is very cool, too! It might take a few goes to learn all of the different things you can do as the main character, Carl. You might kill him a few times, but you can always load your last checkpoint and try something less deadly next time. All in all, it’s a fantastic game! Well worth the money. The only issue I had is with the English grammar/pronunciation on a few of the words, but it’s not even worth docking a star because it’s so few and far between that it doesn’t impact the game at all.

Awsome. When will the DLC "blissful sleep" be out for Mobil

Absolutely Sublime. This game is absolutely incredible. The setting is a totalitarian government who pretends to benefit the people. The gameplay is great and works phenomenally with the touch screen. There’s no awkward fake joystick fiddling, mostly tapping. Don’t let that fool you, this game is one of the deepest experiences you could have on IOS, second only to My Child Lebensborn. The style and character interactions are dripping with atmosphere, the dystopia effects all of them. It also has the Papers Please quality of constant moral choice with it being really hard to make the right choice. You are a landlord working directly for the government. You have a number of lives in your hands, including your family’s. You need money, and it’s pretty hard to get and hold on to. It’s not impossible to always make the right choice, but it’s difficult. You often have to choose between supporting your family or making the world a better place. Sometime though, the choice kicks you in the stomach and you essentially wasted your money. It’s impossible to tell when this happens, and it really adds to the feeling that you’re living in a cruel world where your voice is lost. Despite that, it’s still a tremendously engaging experience, and I found myself attached to some of these characters which are essentially black splotches. Get this game.

Great Job. It's definitely a fun game, I LOVE the style, and the characters have depth to their personalities, which I've always loved. It is a game that does involve some moral choices, although I'm not very far into the game, so I'm hoping there's more of them coming up!

Game Frozen - NOT WORKING. Same experience as another reviewer: start the game, complete first mission, at the end of the conversation between your boss and you the game freezes and is unplayable. Hopefully this catches the developers attentions and fixes it!!!

Amazing. Wow this game is just amazing

Fully recommend. I rarely take the time to write reviews for these things. But this game is amazing at what it does. I tried to be moral first time. I died pretty early on. Some other things: a librarian shot me, I killed my wife by giving her money, I got in huge trouble for not killing someone, I got in trouble for not reporting someone and got fined for reporting them BY THE SAME AGENCY. You can’t win. I have never felt so tortured over decisions in a phone game. In my play through right now I’m pretty sure I’m screwed. I’m addicted.

Love it!. Played it on pc, and was thinking it would be so nice to play it on touch screen, and there it is! I find it much more easier to play this way than clicking the mouse like crazy. Also, I think the simplified filing/blackmailing/reporting system is a BIG improvement. The time pauses when you are looking through things, which is nice too. The only suggestion I would make is the save/load system, I wish we could be able to control the timing somehow, e.g. it's a pain if i just forgot to pick up the box left by the tenant before repair but had to start from before taking the quest! Looking forward to more!

Delete Save Files. There needs to be some sort of way to delete old save files that are no longer wanted.

Unhappy. When you start a new game, the first task does not reset, and you can never complete it.

Deleting saves. Please give the ability to delete saves manually. I love the game so much it’s worth every penny, but please add a little “X” or something to the right of the save files in the load menu so I can clear up the space it’s driving me crazy.

Beholder. Awesome game. It’s really fun at first but you’re just doing the same stuff and not a lot of government jobs after your first few. Add more to it please

Game is very entertaining. So far I really like this game. Sry engaging and exciting. Well worth the price I’d say. On thing I have an issue with is saving the game to iCloud. It just spins and spins and spins. Does nothing. Am I the only one?

Extremely Fun Game. I love this game because it is so challenging and it has multiple outcomes. You really have to pay attention to what people in the game say and do. I am not afraid of starting from scratch to see different outcomes. Thank you for making this game because everyone who worked on this game did an awesome job.

Fun at first. Great at first but even on easy it is too hard. I don’t mind hard after I get into the game, but not right out the gate

Glitch. When I downloaded the app, the text was in English. However, when I close the app after playing and then reopen it, the text is in a different language. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and the same thing happened.

Too hard. Even on easy mode, it's too hard. No payout, you spend a bunch of time and one event ends the game with no pay off.

Absolutely Perfect. There are too many great things to say about this game, so I’ll keep it short and sweet. I didn’t want this game to end! It’s so complex that I was able to play it multiple times and experience so many different storylines. It’s engaging in a way that I didn’t know my brain even wanted - and now all other games pale in comparison. I hope there are more like this to come!!

Audio is horrible and Game Center achievements don’t work. Requested refund...hurry up an process already or I’ll keep writing 1 star review every time you delete.

Addictive. I’ve loved this game. Original and enjoyable. I wish the arrival of tenants was a little more random however as when you die you have to start from the beginning and replay a lot of quests. 10/10 soviet stars

Enjoyable. I’ve wanted this app/game for a while now, but it hadn’t been updated for a year or so. The moment is was updated, I purchased and installed the app. While it has a basic-looking design, it is easy/simple to use and work out. There isn’t too much and it isn’t too hectic, it’s great for quiet/spare moments. I’ve posted a few bad reviews for other apps (lately), so it was a pleasure to actually give a good review and to use an app that does ‘as advertised/shown’ in the App Store (and wherever else). I enjoyed this game and was glad that it wasn’t text based, and could actually move on the screen (unlike other games). I don’t think (or can’t remember) I’ve had any problems or issues in-game or functionality use. So far, so good!

Animal Farm revisited. Love this game and the concept of it. "Dystopian" might be doing itself an injustice. This actually occured in the USSR and is likely happening somewhere right now, something like it. Reminds me of the first law of Animal Farm- "All animals are equal... some animals are more equal than others." Classic game series. Kudos to the creators..part of me suspects they had some experience of it.

Not much to this game. Amusing for a small amount of play time but really not much too it. Not worth the price they are asking for it.

Interesting but flawed.. I wanted to like this game. I really did but I can’t get into it. The difficulty ramps up very early. The camera mechanic is nice but very underused. The story gets stale fast. Good try but definitely not worth the $6.99.

Need more for the game. Please add a sandbox that is and was with the marketplace. A city map which allows you to buy real estate so you can continue serving the motherland you can appoint your Residence two different jobs under a management menu you allowing you to control more properties easier. Add key locations to the map to enhance the storyline just a few ideas I look forward to seeing an update to this game.

Bug. I can’t get into one of my tenants places cause the door is stuck open. Seems there’s no fix :/ don’t want to have to restart everything to fix it.

What a fantastic concept!. This game is truly intriguing in all all aspects. You must perform actions and make decisions accordingly. Do you serve the dystopian state? Or do what is morally right in order to benefit the citizens? Spying, surveillance, so many neat things to do. Highly recommend to anyone with a clever mind.

Not sure. I have such mixed feelings about this game. The concept/art style is wonderful and the storyline is entertaining but eventually things wear thin. The choices are suppose to have different impacts but you mostly get forced one way or have to restart. Huge sums of money midway gets really old fast and the save function rarely works properly. The video camera gameplay is really unique but after a little bit you rarely use it. Overall it was a little anticlimactic..BUT I’m still very glad I purchased it —- DLC is a lot of fun but had to restart due to glitches of items and options not appearing.. hope they fix this for future DLCs...

Incredibly addictive!. This game is not “fun” in lighthearted, Super Mario World way. It’s much more serious than that. It can feel a bit more like work or real life because the game is about problem solving. You are in a totalitarian, oppressive, poverty-stricken nation where the government monitors your every move and keeps you under its thumb. You find yourself constantly put in compromising situations that force you into a stance of self preservation. The government requires you to spy on others and report them to the government which rewards you for such loyalty. You also find yourself being pressured by rebel terrorist organizations who offer rewards or threats, as well as your own family, and the general need to earn the trust and cooperation of those around you. So how many balls, or should I say live grenades, can you successfully juggle at once? This game will find out!

Introspective Masterpiece. I've barely scratched the surface of this experience but I'm absolutely enthralled. It is a mix of "Papers Please" and "This war of mine", with a delightful dark humor twist. Definitely recommend this! Great job Devs!

Good as gold. Really addictive

Poorly executed and explained. I've played this for 3-4 hour and still don't know what's going on. It keeps telling me to do things it hasn't explained how to do and I keep getting shot. Could be a good game if it wasn't just one big mess. No save option, you get randomly started at some random save point that happens at random times and you will not know when that is. Can't get anyone evicted with evidence, click and click and click and nothing happens. It sends the evidence to the stuff about the people instead of evidence. Game is broken, seen a guy in YouTube do it with the pc version, can't get it to work on here. Also, the game just doesn't play well on a small screen a phone. I believe I will be asking for money back.
