Without question the best. As amateur, I didn’t know if spending a couple hundred dollars on a rangefinder, but I wanted to know my distances when on the course. This app does that pretty accurately, sometimes dead on and sometimes 5 yards off (As an amateur precise numbers aren’t dependent on your game.) Along with distance to the pin abilities, it also keeps track of each clubs distances and averages them for you. Taylormade has done a phenomenal job on this app. I’m surprised it’s free..I’m thankful it’s free.
News Updates. The potential is there for this app. Needs updated like the rest of the company already is. Even their own clubs aren’t an option for their golf bag on the app. Just little details throughout the app that taylormade usually nails but they are missing.
Great app, but with one drawback. Great app with plenty of features for any golfer. Distances are close enough (within +-1 - 3ish yards), and the shot tracking is really cool. The issue is that I’m an iPhone user. I don’t like the Apple Watch and I don’t want to pull my phone out on every shot. I do have a Galaxy Gear S3 watch, but it won’t work with the iPhone app. Not sure if it’s possible between the different platforms, but if the iOS app could work with the Samsung watch app, that would be 5 stars great!!
Server error Fixed. Recent updates have fixed the login issues and seems to work like a charm.
App is good, but would be better with compatible website. I like using MyRoundPro to track my stats on course - it is by far the best golf app for this. I know there used to be a MyRoundPro website, but it no longer exists. This app would be perfect with a compatible website - please, please, please put it back online. Cheers :)
I love the app, but it crashes.. I use this app constantly during rounds to track golf information but recently they have is not been opening in crashes out of nowhere/when you try to launch it. Other than that it’s wonderful!
New version doesn’t recognize login info. I used the previous versions of the app and I loved that it would measure strokes gained in every situation. Getting the pin placement was a little clunky, but manageable. The latest update doesn’t recognize my login anymore. I can still use my login on their website, but the app doesn’t, making it useless to me right now.
Big improvements / Helped my game. Tried this app in the spring. Still had a few bugs in it. But I went back to it this month and with all the updates they’ve done, it’s really a terrific app. Helped me tremendously with my game.
Saving the score taking too long. Update Feb 10, 2022: After a note from the developer that the issue had been fixed, I played a round yesterday. After 24 hours, the app is still working on processing to “complete” my round… Update Dec 31, 2021: I started to use this app a few days, it worked fine until today…my round could not be synced from my Apple Watch to my iPhone again! During the past month or so, saving the score recorded on Apple Watch to the phone has been taking too long ranging from several minutes to forever... I even deinstalled the app and then reinstalled the app, the situation did not improve. Could someone on the support team take a look at the issue? Thanks.
Pretty sweet. It’s nice using the scorecard and gps noticed the yards worked a lot better at first and then recently using it the yardage was not updating/accurate. Otherwise cool
Absolutely brilliant!!. I used the app for the first time yesterday. I have an apple watch with built-in gps so i was able to just use my watch to record shots and clubs used - the phone was in my bag during the whole round. Using the watch in-game is pretty straight forward. I'm able to get yardage (thanks to the gps feature which is pretty accurate for the most part), select my club, and record the shot. The app also uses that data to make club suggestions for future holes and rounds - which is very helpful at this stage of my game. Post-game, I pulled up my phone and the stats were all there. I was able to review the shot distances and where they landed - i found this very useful, especIally the tee shots. I could see whether i missed the fairway left or right for each hole (mostly right for this round - something I'd have to work on :) ). There’s something to be said about not having to worry about wrestling a piece of paper and pencil just to keep score. With the app being 100% free (at least at the time of this comment), I probably would have just been happy with the stellar score keeping and tracking feature. Everything else is just a bonus. This app is a real contender against all the other expensive paid ones in my opinion. I hope they keep up with the development and update it on a regular basis.
Great app. Could be perfect with minor improvements. Once you learn how to submit your shots, this is the best app for advanced shot recording. There are two things that can be improved. One is the app is VERY draining on the battery. Have to make sure I start the round near 100% or will run out of battery life. The other is entering a round where the course has 27 holes. If a course has a 27 hole layout Red, White, Blue and you are playing Red-Blue, you cannot submit as one round. You have two submit as 2 separate 9-hole rounds.
Apple Watch. In both modes, advanced and classic, when I attempt to end a round on my watch it seems to freeze. I can see the stats on my phone until I start my next round. To get the next round going, I have to cancel my previous round, deleting all the data. If not for this it would have been a 5 star rating. Love the data in advanced mode. Just can’t get it to save. I hope there is a way to correct this issue. Full disclosure, it might be user error but I’ve explored every option to fix this on my end.
Very thorough. This app is amazing for inputting your stats and shots after your round. I do not find this app very good for trying to use during your round. If you want to track shots and input more of your own stats during the round you cannot add other players in your group and keep their scores. This app is also missing a lot of clubs to add to your bag for example the Callaway Mavrik. 5 stars for stat keeping, 1 star for during round usability.
WAS top notch before the update. I had been using TM app for a while when it was actually free and the absolute best free golf tracker app. I used to be able to mark each shot with the apple watch, and using gps get decent readings to the pin. I always kind of knew they were aware they were giving too much so i hoped they wouldnt end up being another subscription based service. But lo and behold, it happened. So now you have to subscribe to use the most useful features of the app, and now i cant even access my past data. Thanks for the data while it lasted now its just some other score keeping app.
Best golf app I’ve used!. Such a handy app that also goes to the watch. Track all your shots on a round to see where you can improve. Takes hardly no time to check distance and set club to see exactly how a round went. GPS is usually good +/- 5 yards. (Can’t complain about it not being 100% down to the yard because I’m not THAT good where I can dial to a few yards difference. Being able to do betting games with it is awesome. Only two things that would be awesome to add would be an automatic handicap calculator and on the watch, add a way to check distance to hazards. Love it, don’t use anything else!
Dumpster fire. This app is trash. Been using it for about 6 months now hoping it would improve. It hasn’t. I can understand course not being up to date and such, but this thing doesn’t even put me on the tee box. Just yesterday is had me playing a hole backwards and hitting my drive from someone’s driveway behind the hole. To me it’s worthless if I have to go home and try to remember every shot I took and move them in the app. The distances are even close. This app will just add to your frustration when trying to figure out what you’re doing right or wrong after playing. Don’t waste your time. They should stick to making clubs!
Great app & great support. The app works great, simple and easy to use. There support team is amazing too. I have a small muni course I occasionally play that wasn’t mapped. I reached out and they responded back almost immediately and it added to the app in a matter of days.
I want to like it but.... I want to like this app so badly. The technology behind it seems super interesting. As for the app itself, it's a little clunky and hard to use. I've tried to use it twice and both times had trouble. Once you select a club, you don't seem to be able to change your mind. Also the putting quirks are hard to handle. I had a hard time using it on the green. I just don't get it. I've tried to watch the tutorial several times, but there is no sound explaining what you're watching...provides little help. I think with a better tutorial, this app could be epic, and would pair great with helping you pick out a new club/shaft or even set make up combo. TM is on the right path, just needs some help.
Free and feature right. Move over 18Birdies; there is a new golf app leader in my bag. It takes a while to get use to it as you should record your shot every time you are about to hit but it does all that you can wish for. I hope Taylormade keeps enhancing this app cause it’s the best free one out there.
Loved this app with my Microsoft Band. The stats it created were great. Can't wait to try this with my watch. Thank you! Update: the Apple watch app is good. I think the button to select the next shot needs to be moved from the bottom of the watch more towards the middle. Also, it would be nice to be able to select the type of shot (chip, pitch, recovery, etc.) when reviewing your round. It may add another data point for statistics.
Great App, but some big issues!. I love that it is a free app and there aren’t ads being shoved down the user throat! Also, being a data junkie, I really enjoy the stoke gained statistics. That said, the app is killer on your battery and you need to bring an external battery pack with you if you want your phone to last a whole 18. Also, the gps is not very good. I’d say this app is a 5/5 if they could fix the battery drain and improve the gps accuracy.
Descent. Stats a good. Yardages could be so much better. I wish there was a shot type in the club selection menu. It would keep from adding partial or specialty shots into yardage averages.
Great but crashes. The app always has something wrong with it it never does what it’s supposed to do on input previous round. And when your playing it slows you down a whole hour. But it’s great for getting your game on track if the app works for you of course.
Mixed thoughts. App seems to be well put together. Give a nice data display. My biggest problem with the app is no Apple Watch support. I get that this app came about with the help of Samsung. I feel that taylormade being the size they are wouldn’t have to restrict the app to Samsung Watch by going into a contract. Also needs to be able to edit course data for personal use. I’ve played a par 3 course and it claims there are par 4s and 5s on it. Which changes the data statistics. I currently don’t use it based on pace of play and having to mess with my phone all day. If I could use my watch I think it would be a 4/5 or 5/5 star app.
Awesome!. Love how detailed the app is and breaks everything down. The different stats with each club and area of the course really helps you analyze each part of your game! 👍🏼
Awesome! But needs something.... Love this app. used it the other day and I think it's a great idea! I wish there was a way to go back and place your shots. Or a "hole editor" to make sure your shots were in the correct location. I started using this on the 2nd hole... 1st hole is a par 4... it now shows I have 3 shots from hole 2 tee box and 1 putt... I wish I could go back and place where those 3 shots actually were. I'm sure that will come shortly, I just need to make sure I tap the button right before I hit.
I love this app!. I used it for the first time a couple days ago using my Apple Watch. It’s very easy to use - just a couple taps to add the next shot and select a club. Takes only a few seconds. The only issue I have is adding the putts. Using the watch you just put in the number of putts and then you come back later to record the putt distances on the phone app. So I need to have a way to record the putt distances separately so I can do that. It would be nice if that could be done on the watch in real time.
Bad GPS tool, bad interface, great stats. I love the way they report stats and use the strokes lost metric. It is super helpful in informing where you need to improve your game... Unfortunately the interface is super lacking. The app is pretty much useless as a general GPS app. It does not passively give yds to points of interest and getting yardage from a spot is clunky. I want yards to layup points and to bunkers, front back of green, etc. When I use the app I use Golfshot gps for my general yardage and score keeping. The only reason I even open this app is for the metrics that can be taken off of your shot placement and performance. Another glaring issue with the interface is how they handle puts and the green. It often doesn’t let me move the flag after asking me to move the flag. Why not allow you to quickly mark current location as the flag location? It is very difficult to correctly position put points and the flag because of how they position the touch point under your finger a little too much. All of the interface issues are frustrating. Not sure if I’ll keep up with the app or not. If a competitor provides strokes gained metrics and a better interface I’d probably move. If TaylorMade can work out it’s glaring interface problems they may be able to pull me from golfshot. The lack of updates don’t show promise.
Easy to use with a lot of good metrics. When will we see Apple Watch version as it’s faster than pulling the phone out every single time. Thanks TaylorMade Golf
Works now. No longer works on Apple Watch. Connected once, after message displaying something about watch connectivity session. Works now after ios update.
Awesome!!. I have used so many apps for keeping track of my golf game. This one is by far my favorite. The statistics are so impressive and actually helpful. So many other apps just to give you semi-interesting statistics but nothing really useful. I’ve been really impressed and found it extremely easy to use and I have used other things like game golf and the grint. This is the winner by far.
Terrific. I used this app when it was exclusively on Microsoft platform and the band automatically counted strokes. I have been recently using Track My Golf, which automatically counts strokes, shot distance and swing speed. This week I was using the Beta version of this app in conjunction with Track My Golf . My Round Pro was and will be the only app you need. It does need a watch app, automatic stroke counting and a way to reduce battery consumption. But at the end of every round, you know on a map exactly WHERE you hit every shot and with which club. The extent of statistics is unprecedented, exposing every area of weakness and strength. The GPS is very accurate, with a couple of mistakes, and the map layout in pre-shot planning is very helpful. And it's free, which only confirms the TaylorMade commitment to making us better golfers. I have not been paid or received any compensation for this review. It is my truthful evaluation. Hit them straight and long.
More User Friendly. I too have been trying to like the app but it requires too many steps. It is great that you can track all your stats if that is what you like to do but it would be nice to be able to choose what if any stats you want to track each round. An option for just GPS and scoring would be nice to have if you wanted to use it that way too. It has potential and is off to a good start but still needs some work.
Does one thing Really well. Everything else not good. I’ve used 18 Birdies, this, and the Grint. This app lags behind all but I use it only for strokes gained, which is the one thing it does really well (when used correctly). Does not/is very difficult to get yardages to points of interest. Super difficult to put accurate pins on the map during the round, and support for this app is non existent. Asked multiple times for help to make sure I’m in putting penalties correctly. Never heard anything. And now strokes gained is stuck on Pro baseline instead of my handicap and all I get is a message saying can’t communicate with server. Literally just want to use it for strokes gained. If I can’t do that I’ll probably uninstall soon and go back to 18 Birdies
Watch App Doesn’t Work. Downloaded the app a few months ago and really liked the ease of use on the Apple Watch. However, the watch app hasn’t worked since the end of September. The mobile app is great but a bit cumbersome to pull out for each shot on the course.
Pretty good for the casual golfer!. I don’t play religiously, but I like to have game metrics and free maps, and this gives you that. The GPS doesn't seem 100% accurate, but close enough for getting a decent reality check on yardage for club selection. The app eats battery and I’m constantly cutting close to going through my battery before my 18 holes are up! Few suggestions: 1) Need to expand the club selection for building your bag, even if it means having a fill-in to add your clubs. Muira and Honma are both missing from the standard selections, and it seems there’s enough of these out there to warrant adding them! 2) Need a way to ID club beyond “SW” or “D”. For instance, mini drivers register as drivers, and I know enough people who carry one in place of a 3W, and I personally carry an extra wedge and have a hard time IDing it after hitting w/o knowing which SW is which. 3) It might be nice to add an in-app camera function to take a picture at any given strike point. Sometimes some memorable things happen, and it would be nice to capture it as part of the round recordings.
Great app, when it works.. This app is fantastic for shot tracking and strokes gained statistics. The Apple Watch app works well; you can quickly and easily select your club or enter putts. Sadly, what often occurs is that a round will get stuck “processing”. Months ago it seemed that a round would eventually process and be ok, but lately rounds will either bug out and lose all club data (locations remain but everything displays an exclamation point icon) or, as in the case from a round this morning, become permanently stuck. If the “processing” issue can be fixed I’d happily recommend this app to others and give it a 5-star review.
when I try to sign in it says trouble communicating with server. Would love to try this but it won’t even setup correctly Help?
The Golf App I’ve Been Looking For. I’ve literally tried them all, but for a stats nerd like me MyGolfPro finally seems to be the app I’ve been looking for. Simple, accurate shot tracking with an abundance of actually USEFUL stats. The visuals of the charts are very clean and easy to read. Inputting data during a round is a breeze. BIG BONUS: Apple Watch app has FULL functionality without ever needing to open the phone app during a round. 3 suggestions for future releases: 1. When using the Apple Watch during a round it would be nice to be able to open the phone and have it synced with the current data to that point so that I can dial in putting specifics immediately after each hole instead of after the round. 2. A corresponding website would be HUGE. Being able to review stats on my laptop instead of always on the phone would be the icing on the cake. 3. Score integration with GHIN would put this over the top. Really nice work TaylorMade. Thank you for the incredible, free app!
Works fine as a scorecard. The “basic mode” works ok. You just input what score you get on each hole and it tracks your score. The advanced mode is worthless unless you’re diligent on inputting shot by shot when you’re next to your ball. It has a feature where you can move previous shots to another location but this doesn’t work at all. It just reverts to the wherever you are located
Upgrade Erased All Data. App auto upgraded (my fault for letting it) and now all my previous data is gone. All my rounds shot by shot from last year. I switched to this one because it’s feature rich and worked right out of the box. I would’ve gladly paid a few bucks a month because I really did like it. But now no way. It’s just turning into a copy of all the others, login with social media account, give it access to all your contacts and pay for every feature. Shame this was one of the good ones.
App is great - when it works. This is one of the best Golf GPSs out there and the fact that you can track your stats and make improvements based on golfing tendencies is phenomenal, however with this app, it’s only a concept… when you go to the stats section of the app, it literally crashes every single time. Haven’t been able to see any stats, even when I’m paying for the subscription to use these features. Absolutely horrible interface to track stats. It’s core use as a GPS on the Apple Watch works phenomenally well.
App keeps crashing. So the app itself is pretty good, the stats it gives are great and really helps when I practice. The use is a little clunky and difficult to get used to but I figure that’ll get better overtime as I get used to it One of the flaws is that the gps doesn’t recognize distances automatically if you’re not in the fairway. I’ve had shots where I was only about 5 yards off the fairway and it was already outside of the “recognized area” and only gives me the distance after I submit the shot and choose a club in the app Also since the last update which was about 2 weeks ago, the app crashes immediately after opening and it looks like I’m not the only one with this problem. 2 weeks seems like a pretty long time to not fix such a huge issue.
Needs some work. I like that it’s free but the app needs some updates. Trying to open a previous round it crashes and closes out…even after the most recent update.
Great program. I’ve really enjoyed this since the upgrades and having it be so much more reliable. The stats have truly allowed me to work on the areas I struggle with.
Great but syncing issues with Apple Watch. Ran the app from my Apple Watch for a round of 9 holes and didn’t ever sync to my phone after recording every stroke to my Apple Watch. Hopefully they can fix this soon. Super annoying.
Bait and Switch. The app says it’s free. The FAQ’s in the app itself says the app is free and there is no subscription for its use. It talks about how you can get stats with the free app. But NO!, in the app to get shot tracking and stats you get redirected to another app download from Taylormade for a subscription price of $120. I give it 3 stars for the free basic mode of gps distances minus 2 stars for the bait and switch tactics.
Need update for Watch OS 7!. Love the app and features on phone and watch. However with the new watch os 7 update, i cant get the app to work on my Apple Watch. Please update your app to make it work. If watch OS 7 is not supported I will have to find a new app :0 Edit: i still cannot get to open on my apple watch. That was the main reason why I would use it. As of now i will stop using it until it is fixed. I hate having to take my phone out every shot.
High demand = technical issues.. I was not able to use the app today. I could not access the course database. The error message: Due to high demand, we are experiencing minor technical issues. Please try again later” I tried all morning and no luck. It is now 8:14pm, still no go.

Club selector 👎🏼. Tried to insert my 43 degree PW into club selector, but the lowest loft option for PW that the app allows is 48 degrees. Bit stupid.
Amazing. I’ve tried every golf app I could find on the Apple store. For my needs, there’s no better app - paid or unpaid.
No more advanced stats. I found this to be the perfect app to get distance measurements for each club and keep track of my round however a relatively recent update removed the advanced stats, meaning no distance measurement data is collected. I contacted them however didn’t get a response. I’m not really sure why any app developer would remove such a helpful functionality.
Freezes and shuts down. Features are great on paper. However after using it for the first time, when trying to view the full scorecard after the round, it doesn’t let me rotate to view the scorecard and when I try to scroll across to view the scores further than the 6th-7th hole, the entire app shuts down and closes.
It’s good, but doesn’t sync well with the watch. The stats, game tracking and course layouts are great, but as a iwatch owner I would love for it to sync during the round with both my watch and phone. You have to use one or the other.
Just kinda ‘there’. It has lots of potential and is good as a free app. However it is a bit limited: 1. I can’t add or document a chipper. 2. Documenting putts on the green is a bit fiddly and not worth doing. 3. It doesn’t tap into the GPS of my Apple Watch so locations and roughs and stuff like that is not accurately noted. Even while I use the watch, the distances are based solely on where the phone is located. 4. It doesn’t allow for alternative scoring - Par rounds, Stableford, etc - so it’s useless for competition play. I’m going back to a paid app until this app is fixed. For what it’s worth, I would gladly pay an annual fee for this app if it has all the features a golfer should expect nowadays.
In theory it’s great, but.... ... in practice, the app doesn’t deliver. It’s just not fast enough on the greens. Might be fine if you only take 3 or 4 shots on a par 4, but if you have 7 or 8, it’s too much to log every one. A wearable would be helpful, but that’s only available for Samsung phone & gear. (iPhone & gear doesn’t give all features) And when it was tracking my shots, I found it slow or missing my distance to green. However, shot tracking & accuracy is good & does work.
Advanced mode not available in Australia?. Advanced mode is now available with subscription to MyTaylormade + only, which I did, but the app is not available for Australia. Any solution??
Needs more courses.. Need the large par 72 course at westward ho (Adelaide shores)
The app needs to update all clubs. The app needs to be better updated to include all current model clubs including putters as I’ve been waiting a while for my gt max putter to be updated
So close. The perfect golf gps app until you need to finish a round on the Apple Watch. After my round when I press finish it just reloads the same screen and never finishes. Very frustrating to lose a whole rounds worth of data and makes this completely unusable. Needs to be fixed ASAP!
Lost rounds. Can’t edit a round on the phone after recording on my watch and also lost all of my previous rounds. Avoid.
Brilliant App. Takes a bit of getting used to but the data it returns is awesome.

Not horrible buuut. Doesn’t matter which tees you choose before the round it only gives distances from the back tee box.
Terrible update. Brand new update to the app, and no way to even grab a subscription. Taylormade should’ve through this through a little bit more before pushing the update to v4
App won’t load on my Apple Watch series 4. Great app when it worked but for some reason when I go to load it on my Apple Watch series 4 it keeps working as though it’s gonna load but nothing happens. I’ve tried to uninstall and reinstall but haven’t had any luck. Would be nice if there was a fix :)
Stats are not accurate at all. The apps although great as a electronic yardage book while playing does a terrible job of calculating the stats. Even though using GPS to track my drives. Which were in the 240-250 yard range. My average driving distance was calculated at 161 yards!!!!!!
No More Advanced Stats. Can’t track shots anymore without the new plus subscription, and the subscription service isn’t available in Canada. Wouldn’t mind so much if the option was at least available to consider, but since it isn’t, classic mode just feels very barebones and doesn’t allow for the same data analysis as before. Was able to use advanced mode before it was hidden behind a paywall, kinda disappointed it’s not a viable feature anymore.
Great app. Great free app to track your stats
Not consistent. Works great some days, other days, it a POS. Today it would not start the app on my watch, and would not end the round on my wife’s watch. What gives, no one to contact.
Says connection error. Even though I’m using 5G or Wifi networks it just wouldn’t work even uninstall and reinstall
Broken. No longer saves rounds, they just disappear. App used to be good but is no longer worth it. Shame on TaylorMade.
Needs a fix. Works well until you want to go into your round and look at the stats. Just continues loading and nothing happens.
The best golf free app. This app is awesome. Intuitive layout and even better on Apple Watch
Buggy app. Won’t even open, just says check you internet even though internet is fine and everything else is working. Buggy app, don’t waste your time.
Check Internet Connection. Won’t allow me to even log in…says check internet connection even though internet is not the issue
Great App but not GPS Base Map. Why has the underlying map (I think it was GMaps based) disappeared entirely. No longer loads any aerial imagery…so have to rely on Course outlines which are questionable at best of times. Please fix to leverage a Satellite map again.
Can’t save round. Can’t save round from Apple Watch currently. Always indicated connection problems. Please fix it. Thanks
Multi-Player Option ?. The multi-player options is not available for all golf courses. Is there a reason for that? Thank you.
Cannot subscribe. App was great for the first round then we need to subscribe but the link come broken. Waste of time and energy sadly cause I loved how everything was easy and good looking.
Free good app for golfing. Very good for free golf but if can show Bunker distance and rouge distance then it’s the best
Cannot even signup with iPhone XS max. Should be zero stars. Just downloaded and When I try to signup and fill in the country and birthdate fields it just sits there and does nothing. If I try to skip this screen I cannot, continue button at bottom is greyed out. iPhone XS Max with latest OS May 23-2021. Terrible experience
Broken app. Used to work well. Can’t even log on. Been like this a while. Not a good reference for their golf equipment. Waste of time
Errors. Says check your connection and try again even though I tried using LTE which I have data for and both of my wifi’s and they are working just fine on my computer and consoles.
Terrible app. Courses are missing, courses that do exist are completely wrong. Wouldn’t waste my time to download it
Terrible. Tried to sign up so many times, keep getting session expired notification, then locks up
Adsterra is the most preferred ad network for those looking for an alternative to AdSense. Adsterra is the ideal choice for new sites with low daily traffic. In order to advertise on the site in Adsterra, like other ad networks, a certain traffic limit, domain age, etc. is required. There are no strict rules. Sign up!
Nope. Great potential if I could log in. I have reset my password a ton of times and never been able to gain access. I guess I’ll give it a star because taylormade tried.
GPS. Everything is great except for the fact that it uses your phone’s GPS instead of the watch’s GPS
Putting. Can’t drag putts, a deal breaker. Tap, undo, tap, undo, tap undo.
New Update Issue. The app is great! I just updated it though and now it is crashing immediately. Please fix because otherwise this is a 4/5 Star app!
Great Idea, Terrible Execution. I want to like this app, I really do. For a long time, I've wanted an app that would give me a statistical breakdown, like Strokes Gained stats, at the end of my round that I could use to focus on areas of my game that need help. That is exactly what this app does and what it is designed for. On top of that, I like that I can put detailed club data into the app and can select the 14 clubs I use during a round from a longer list of clubs. For that, the app would normally get at least three to four stars, with the fifth being reserved for great execution. Unfortunately though, the execution of this app is why I absolutely cannot give it more than two stars, and why I recommend you go with a different app, like GolfLogix, for your round tracking needs. I should note as well, I have played several rounds using the app before posting this review to try to get used to it, so this review is the result of a rather extensive test. The app works well enough for full shots (assuming you don't forget to mark a shot, in which case, get ready to spend 5 minutes trying to figure out how to go back and fix it) but is disastrously bad around the green. First, there is no option in the app to select chips, pitches, flops, or bunkers, so you're at the mercy of the really inaccurate GPS (more on that in a bit) to get bunker stats and you can forget seperating pitches and chips. Next, and easily most distracting, the app asks you to set the pin position when you first select the putter. This shouldn't take long, but you can't just click, you have to drag the pin, and good luck if accuracy matters to you. I can't count how many times I've moved the pin directly on top of my position on the app only to see my position move. Then you have to click where each putt was taken from, again clicking directly on my dot, I have seen 12 footers called 40 footers and 2 footers called 15 footers (that on the same hole, on a putt that barely pushed by right). The app will also regularly show you standing off the green when you're ten to fifteen feet on and if you screw up marking a putt, good look fixing it. Summed up, around the greens, the app is really, really time consuming without getting any accuracy benefit. Golflogix used to let you put your stats in once off the green and say yourself what your distances were and where you missed them. While obviously not perfect, it's a lot closer than this app and is much less depend on marking every putt as you make it. The GPS accuracy is also really frustrating, for full shots as well as close to the green. I had a shot today marked as being in the rough when I was directly behind the 150 marker in a very wide fairway, later in the round the app told me I was 154 out from the green when I was standing well in front of the 150 marker (my laser rangefinder had me at 138, btw). The same thing happens throughout the entire round. Thrown together with the app taking so much time around the green you can't carry on a conversation with the people you're playing with, and the app ends up being more frustrating to use than the game itself is to play. This is all without talking about how difficult it is to fix shots if you mark them wrong or forget to mark them when you hit. There's a way to fix it, I know there is because I figured it out once, but it's not obvious enough to be useful and was time consuming (a common theme here) even when it did work. Basically, summed up, TMag had some great ideas with this app and while I definitely think they can maintain the long game features, the short game features need a real upgrade. Until they can make that upgrade, go with a different stat tracker, your playing partners will thank you for it.
Bait and switch. I downloaded this months ago and it was free to use. Now you want me to pay $13 a month for the absolute basic features. Get outta here.
Good but!. Love the app for stats and is generally easy to use. But after 8-9 holes it crashes. After that each time I select a club it crashes and on restart it starts on the hole it crashed on. Please fix so I can keep using it!!!!
Too glitchy. I really like this app. It keeps great stats and gives good information. But lately it never works. It won’t save my rounds or just won’t let me record a round as I play. So I deleted it even though I really liked it when it was working.
Driving distance not working properly?. I entered my first round and the driving distance didn’t work properly. I followed the tutorial and it didn’t work at all like it was supposed to.
Can’t get the app to work, can’t get support. The TM On Course app will not allow me to play a round and track shots. I get messages saying I need to have a paid subscription to the My TM+ app, which I do. Apple & my cc have confirmed the subscription. No luck reaching support via TM phone #. Anyone else having this issue?
Crash. Can’t even open app now. Keeps crashing.
No Apple Watch app???? 🤷🏾♂️. Why would you develop this app without Apple Watch compatibility? I can’t use it until that functionality is available. I was really looking forward to using the app...oh well
Tried creating account “error in communication with server”. Tried for several days to create my account but the same error message keeps popping up
Apple watch version. I am still waiting for the Apple Watch Version that was promised for January. I may have to look at getting the Microsoft version again.
Used to be sweet. No longer works with Apple Watch
Won’t connect to server. I’ve been trying to login for three days to see what the app is like and can’t even get past the Create Profile page. The error message says “Error in communication with server. Please try again.”
(BUG)fix now. Great app but I can’t compare my game to a scratch golfer, only pro 5, 10, 15, and 20 handicaps. This needs to be fixed soon
Tee shot yardages. Every hole it sets my tee shot of going about 100 yards less than it actually does.
Complete garbage. Nothing works. Either a function doesn’t work at all, or there is a constant check internet connection error message.
Apple watch. No longer works on Apple watch
Reactivating my account.. I accidentally deactivated my account. I contacted support from the App Store and through Taylor Golf’s website. So far it’s been a number of weeks and my account still hasn’t been reactivated. Wondering how good support is for this app.
Can’t Log In. Really can’t give much of a review because I can’t log in. Glad I discovered this bug before I depended on during my Round. At this point, this App is unusable and a waste of space on my phone.
Will not load on Apple Watch 6. App installs correctly but will not progress past the load screen on Apple Watch. Sounds like this is happening to other users as well.
No Support. I’ve downloaded this app twice in the last 6 months. My course map is wrong and the “submit support” form didn’t work 6 months ago and it doesn’t work now. Apparently this is the only way to provide feedback.
Note. To use it with you Apple Watch, you need to pay for the premium version.. As above
Great App. For a free app I couldn’t ask for more. Yardage, and score keeping are user friendly. The only golf app I use.
Great but crashes. The app is great for improving your game but only is the app doesn’t crash before you put in your shot.
The best free app for stats on your golf game. Seems like this app hasn’t gotten a review in a while. That’s a shame, because it is one of the best free tracking apps for golfers looking for stats on their game. I’m so glad Taylormade continues to support it. My favorite parts: Strokes gained - No one else is giving you this level of detail on strokes gained for free. MyRoundPro gives you breakdowns for strokes in 25 yd increments (I.e. 0-25yd, 25-50yd), and also by club. It’s a tremendous tool for understanding where I need to improve. Proximity to the hole - the app allows you to see where your shots landed relative to the pin, aggregated across multiple rounds. Using this shot pattern helps me understand where my shots are landing relative to my aim point. In my case, my 100-150yd shots end up short and right, but my 0-50yd chips end up long and left. Full shot tracking - Pretty easy to review a round and see the patterns for any mistakes you made. Do I consistently miss par 3’s in a certain direction? How am I getting out from under trees? GPS distances - The app automatically shows you distance to the center of the green, but you can also get distances by pressing and holding on a point on the map. Great for finding out how far a bunker is. Course coverage - they have every course near me in the US, including some rinky dink Par 3 courses that others do not. It’s really free - there are no ads in the app, no annoying pop ups, no nothing. I’m amazed and so thankful. A few limited drawbacks on the app though: Scorecard is relatively limited. In contrast to the detail that the stats page gives you, the scorecard literally only gives you yds, par, handicap, and score. No fairway hit, no GIR, no nothing. Gotta review your round for that. Like all GPS apps, it eats battery. It uses GPS to get your location/distance to the hole, so it tends to use a lot of battery in the background. No worse than other golf GPS apps though. Some functionality seems a little hidden. For example, the stats page shows a last-5 round average by default, but you can actually get the stats for all your rounds by setting up a ‘filter’ and entering in a long date range. This will allow you to include >10 rounds into the stats. No matter which baseline you choose, some stats will be measured relative to a professional golfer. Proximity to the hole for example, will give you a Strokes Gained relative to a 5 HCP but a distance relative to a PGA golfer. Taylormade, a few suggestions that would take this to the next level! Make the driving distance stats available for all clubs! Being able to see the dispersion pattern for my 7 iron and PW would be amazing Being able to overlay dispersion patterns on the GPS map would be a game changer. You already know shots with my 9i sit in a 45ft circle - show it on the map! Track up and downs Add stats cut by Par 3/4/5. Strokes gained on Par 3 vs Par 5 mean very different things.
Still won’t open on my Apple Watch. Can’t get it to open on my Apple Watch since the newest Apple update. I have tried to delete and reinstall app on phone and watch several times. I have already downloaded your new update and a still doesn’t work as of 9/24/2020
Can’t log in.. I’m sure the app is fine… but I wouldn’t know. Have downloaded and redownloaded three times. Can’t get past the login screen. I keep getting hit with an internet connection error.
Life saver. Cut almost 20Strokes of my game
App update. I contact app support to update miramar golf course in san diego. They said ut was updated and ut us not. It has a new lay out holes . Holes 5,6,7,8,9 are now 14,15,16,17,18. And holes 14,15,16,17,18 are now 5,6,7,8,9. The latest still have the old lay out please update.
Good start. I like the app but wish that it had an smart watch option.
Functionality is seriously lacking.. This product was not ready to be released. Needs a lot of work.
Doesn't meet my needs. Having just downloaded and installed the app, here are three objections I have: 1. It only allows alphanumeric passwords. The most secure passwords also contain special characters. 2. It won't allow me to import round data I've accumulated over the years in different apps (e.g. GolfLogix). So my history starts over at square one. Not good. 3. It says it's good in the USA, but unlike other apps (e.g. GolfLogix) it doesn't include Puerto Rico golf courses. So on account of #s 2 & 3, I have to give it one star, because we're not allowed to give zero stars.
Clunky User Interface. User interface of this app looks cool and all but is a complete joke. Very difficult IMO to enter in shots as I just spent 20 minutes trying to figure it out. Would not recommend.
Can’t even use it. Got this app as I am a huge Taylormade fan. Can’t even get past the login screen. Says can’t connect to the internet when I have a connection.
Reduced functionality. No longer works with my Samsung watch.... also keeps saying it’s experiencing minor difficulties but the app is completely locked up, and has been for several days
Best Free App Ever. The quality of your this app is awesome! It’s entirely free and is as good as a $100 one. Love it.
Can’t even open. I’ll give it a fair review when they fix whatever issue keeps me from actually using it. Looks fun.... let’s get on this
Help request. I have sent 3 requests for help connecting Apple Watch to no avail.. not much support for this app.. sad 😞 because it worked beautifully the first round..
Distance is great. Distance to the middle of the green is great. However it doesn’t seem to calculate the club distance of the shot correctly.
App crashes. Just upgraded to the latest version and now it crashes every time I select a different hole when inputting my shots. Frustrating. Should be an easy fix
Love the app but could have more detail. Great app! Would appreciate if for the approach section it should 100-125 - 150-175 etc or by rough or fairway bunker etc
Feedback. This app gives great feedback on on your performance. Just keep playing!
Apple Watch. Worked good until the last update and now it won’t load on my Apple Watch
Solid. Solid app! Took some getting used to in plugging in my shots! Only complaint is it won’t let me change how my strokes gained is judged. It’s stuck on Pro
GPS needs to work!. This app does not give you the distance to green from your location. All it has is the distance from tee to green. Pretty useless! Cannot get distances to any object on the course. Even without that gps, this app will drain your battery rapidly. This app promises a lot but delivers very little.
