Horrible!!! Walk instead. DO NOT USE LIME SCOOTERS--THEY ARE A RIP OFF!!! The app is difficult to use. The scooters are untrustworthy. The company is criminal. Let me illustrate... I decided to try aLime scooter out as I needed to get somewhere faster than I could walk there. So after going through the rigamarole of signing up and unlocking a scooter, it kinda went and kinda didn't, so I decided I'd end the ride after only a few hundred feet. But when I went to do so, Lime threatened to fine me!! So, feeling obligated, I continued, only to have the piece-of-crap scooter die on me (it said it still had 2.4 miles of charge left) in the middle of a huge "no parking zone" --which I didn't know I was in because of the crappy app displaying so many stupid confusing windows it was almost impossible to see anything useful like the map on my phone screen. So when I tried to end the ride after it died, Lime wouldn't let me end the ride, again threatening a fine!! So I had to WALK the PIECE-OF-CRAP scooter out of the no parking zone I had unknowingly entered WHILE I WAS STILL BEING CHARGED FOR ITS USE!! And because dealing with the crappy scooter took so much time I missed my appointment!! What a crock. What a terrible "service"--it's more like an extortion scheme with all the threats and poor app function. I will most definitely NOT use Lime ever again, and I suggest you not even try it. Unless you like being scammed out of your money.

Lime scooter wouldn’t let me end my ride, overcharged me by 3x amount. I want a refund for my ride last night. When I tried to end my ride I was told there was a “network Error” . So I rode the scooter to a new area a few blocks away in hopes of better coverage. But I got the same error. Subsequently I was overcharged by 30 minutes and I traveled a quarter mile more than I wanted to. This network error IS NOT MY FAULT and lime has a duty to provide a way to end a ride that doesn’t depend on a Network. For example scooter could be attached to the user’phone via Bluetooth so that users can end without relying on a spotty network (mine is Sprint BTW). It is very suspicious that my phone had the same amount of network ‘bars’ when I was uploading my credit card information, and getting Lime to START charging seems to work perfectly with only 2 bars! It is UNETHICAL and ILLEGAL to trap a customer in a service that they are unable to end. It is frankly suspicious that Lime hasn’t implemented this very simple fix, please refund my money immediately AND fix this issue or I will report this to the City Attorney’s Office.

Pluses and minuses. I like the scooters overall and the value is good. It was great when I thought I would be about 5 minutes late walking to work, but found one on the way, and ended up 10 minutes early. But I've come across some serious downsides. 1: you can't use them for errands, because they don't have a basket. And you can't use GPS, because there isn't a phone holder. (And a GPS app that shows you bike routes would be VERY useful with these things) 2: a lot of the ones I've looked for were located inside private buildings, so you couldn't get to them. I reported them, but who knows if they can get banned. They were at the local rich college kid apartments, so they will probably just use another card and keep doing it. There's no real way to stop it. 3: Since the chargers only do so at night, there are very few scooters available during the hours I need to get around. 4: you can't rent more than one scooter at a time, so no sharing with friends or family that don't have smart phones.

So FRUSTRATING. The app has significantly gone downhill recently. I’ve been using Lime for almost 3 years and all the issues I’ve encountered with them has happened within the last couple of months. The app will show you an available scooter but when you scan it, it’s all of a sudden unavailable but still showing up on the map. When you try to ring scooters to find them, nothing happens. They don’t want to use the scooter on the sidewalks but they have implemented “speed zones” where your speed drops from 20mph to 5mph and it’s totally unsafe if you’re in traffic (it’s happened to me a few times and I’ve almost been ran off the road because of it). The app is super slow when it comes to pausing/ending your ride so your just getting charged waiting for the app to do its job. Also if you are going to use a lime scooter make sure everything works before you take off; about half of the scooters I encounter don’t have functioning brakes. Overall, not safe, kind of a rip off, would not recommend. 👎🏻

Great system with one MAJOR problem. While I absolutely love almost everything about the Lime app, Limebikes, and Lime scooters, there’s one glaring issue which has existed from the start which is a big enough deal to turn what would be a five-star rating into a two-star one: lack of panniers/other means of carrying more than one small bag of groceries safely on EITHER vehicle type. Now that the Lime carshare service is gone (at least in my city, but in others too from what I’ve heard), Lime is no longer an option for going on large shopping trips. I’ve seen all kinds of huge panniers mounted over the back wheels of other bikes, and I’ve seen countless drivers from services like UberEats, DoorDash, Postmates, etc. and even Domino’s using large baskets mounted above their rear wheels that are nearly the size of shopping carts. Why can’t Limebikes have those? I’ve had to get creative when I have take them shopping, sometimes with unfortunate or near-disastrous results, and I’m beyond puzzled and endlessly frustrated at why nobody has ever had the the simple idea to fix this.

I paid to walk. I was a first time user. I did not know we had to park the scooter at a specific location before ending the trip… I found the scooter I used in the middle of a parking lot so I thought that I could leave the scooter, not in a parking lot, but in a place where it would not bother traffic and pedestrians. When I found an adequate space, I ended the ride on the app. But the app failed to let me know before I ended the trip that the scooter could not be left at this space. It would have been ok if Lime let me use the scooter while I was looking for an adequate parking. Wrong. I had to carry the scooter all around by foot. I injured my ankle in the process. Plus, Lime indicated that I should go down stairs with the scooter. I am a petite woman… there is no way that I am risking to fall down the stairs with a scooter that is heavier than me. I am disappointed. I paid 20$ for 38 minutes. My ride lasted 10 minutes and I spent the 28 other minutes looking for the parking lot. I hope this message will help future first users.

Charge. I love LimeBike they're easy to use and fun. But they use to charge me small amounts when I barely used any time. They used to charge me like .20 when I used 5-10 minutes. Now they changed the prices to be cheaper for a half hour, but I'm getting charged .50 for 3 minutes. Update: one year later, it’s now $.50 to just check it out and then $.05 for every minute, which if you calculate it is now $1.50 per half hour, so a total of $2 per 30 minutes. Which.. sure? I get you’re trying to make money— but it’s cheaper for me to take a bus now to the store instead of using a bike. And I think I saw something that said you’re changing it to $1 to check out, which is ridiculous. I used to see everyone on limebikes! They were all over our university now (this year) I had to go off campus to find one regular bike. It’s sad to see a great idea be more focused on who will pay more for this item, instead of being a cheap reliable bike. Go back to last years prices! I would love to see more people using it if you brought down the price!

Total RIP-OFF!. Lime is a total RIPOFF! I would give negative stars if I could. The app claims my city now forces scooters to be parked in designated parking spots (though Lime seems to be the only one). However, I have attempted to park in designated spots, such as my very last ride with Lime. It was a spot indicated on the app’s map, marking on the sidewalk, and other Lime scooters parked there. But, each time I attempted to park, the app kept telling me it was not a parking area. I moved Lime to the other side of the highway, and it finally allowed me to park. The app though kept charging during the whole process, so Lime was making extra money. I talked with a person from Lime, and says this is a common occurrence, the parking issue. Why is Lime not fixing the issue?!?!? I believe it’s because most people won’t complain about the extra minute or two. I think Lime is purposely not fixing the problem because all those extra minutes really add to Lime’s bottom line. I think they would rather make the extra money than really care about their customers. Thanks for being such a terrible company!

Useless now. I used to be able to see where every scooter was regardless of where I was. Now it only shows them if they’re right next to me. I found one the other day a few blocks away by zooming all the way in on a random spot. Then it suddenly showed up. I don’t mind walking a few blocks to a scooter and with this app that’s impossible. Also they charge way too much now. It costs more for me to scooter than to Uber. Upon further inspection, I can only assume they’re trying to limit the amount of scooters used in certain areas. I’m not in a red zone but I’m not in a great neighborhood, so instead of making it a red zone, they just make it impossible to find a scooter. Yesterday I tricked it into showing me a scooter. I walked all the way over to it and even when I was standing right on it, it wouldn’t tell me it was there. Completely invisible to the app and it had 10 miles on the battery. Thanks for making your app borderline impossible to use. And the other scooters are just useless so I have to use lime.

Great tech support and app for Juicers. I’ve had mostly positive experience since I started charging in January. They helped me understand and answered specific questions I had about charging. I haven’t had any issues serving charged scooters except last week and they promptly replied. I learned to take screen shots so I can get a manual payout. Last night was my first night being able to pick up drop offs scooters and I could not serve them. I emailed them and within a few minutes I received a reply and advice. I still can’t serve drop offs but I submitted screenshots and was paid :) Sometimes I can’t harvest a scooter but hey it’s rare. This has become my full time job and I appreciate the opportunity to make a living and be able to provide as a single mom to my small children. And I appreciate the bonus we were just given on February.

AVOID LIME MOPED!!!. I have no idea how Lime got 4.9 stars on App Store given so many negative reviews and my personal horrible experience!! 1. You are required to do 4 trainings before the first moped ride which is fine for me, BUT chapter 3 of the lesson could not even load properly!! We spent 30mins in front of the moped trying to complete the trainings and both mine and my husband’s phone was stucked at chapter 3. My phone had good internet access so it’s not the network issue. What a waste of time!! Please hire some reliable engineers!! 2. When we tried again couple hours later, we finally completed the training and was able to ride on the moped. For a 3 mile 35 min ride we were charged almost $20, which is even a bit more than Uber. Why would I ride a moped for most money and time?? Maybe just for the one time experience but certainly not us a frequent option. 3. Finally and the worst part of the experience and parking and ending the trip. Be aware, you could only park in some designated and limited spaces. The closest spot we count was 0.3miles away from our hotel in a parking a lot. I had to walk back to the hotel. AND!! After we parked at the parking space and on our way walking back to the hotel, the parking lot supervisor chased after us telling us to move the moped out of the garage!! So we had to go back again and drag the moped out of the garage. Overall extremely terrible experience and delete the app right away! Garbage!

Does not deserve 4.9. This App and service is absolute garbage. I will be calling their customer service first thing tomorrow morning for a refund. I downloaded the App on a walk when my partner needed to use the restroom and could not wait the length it would take to walk to the nearest public bathroom. So I DL the App and check the map and we head to the nearest two bikes. First problem, you can’t actually rent two bikes from one account! What kind of business only sells one item per customer?! That is ridiculous. Ok so I figure I’ll just get the one so she can get going but no, the E-bike was unavailable. Quick check of the map says there’s another one .5 miles away in the wrong direction bit we decide to make the quick walk and try again. We get there and guess what, this bike is unavailable too. 2 strikes and wasted time all the while my poor partner is on the verge of ruining their pants. We decide screw this company I guess we’re walking. Then on the walk we came across one more bike not even a E-bike and gave it a try. To no surprise it was unavailable as well. Three times I tried to use their products and three times they wasted my time. If a bike is unavailable it shouldn’t be on the map. How is that something you didn’t think of? I will never forget this.

Beware the new scooters!. I live in Austin, and I used to love this app. The scooters were convenient and usually within a reasonable distance from me, however, recently I’ve seen new scooters around (I guess a new model) and every time I’ve used one I’ve had a problem. One wouldn’t go above 10 mph, one was jerky (it would accelerate for a second then stop for a few then start again), one stopped working while I was in the middle of an intersection (and I almost got hit by a car because of it), and I just tried to take a ride home and I had to try two scooters (both would not start, so I am currently trying to be refunded) before I found one that worked (and it was the older model). They need to fix the new models or go back to the old ones before someone actually gets hurt. It’s unfortunate because it was very convenient for me, but now I feel like I’ve wasted too much money on scooters that didn’t work, and honestly, I feel unsafe using them. I may have to switch apps or find another way to get around.

Test your software before dumping scooters in cities. Work with local communities to make it happen. This is an untested, unthought through app. There is no way for one user to activate another’s scooter. What if I kids or I want to pay for someone else’s ride? This problem is identified on the FAQ but WHY WASNT THIS THOUGHT THROUGH INITIALLY????? When the product was RELEASE?! The scooters have been here for months. why hasn’t it been solved? what happens when someone’s phone dies? why would you keep charging someone or worse, risk a scooter being stolen by another person because YOU DIDNT THINK THROUGH THAT SCENARIO. Also, why weren’t city and local governments included in your decision to litter our city with scooters?! Very unfortunate and frustrating experience. Also, my scooter clocked 20 mph. Not the 15 that was promisedr. I really hope there is more thought put into something that effects so many people. It’s frustrating that factors like other pedestrians, motorists, stoplights, the inability to monitor and regulate drivers as they barrel down sidewalks and risk the lives of others, drunk or incompetent drivers, etc, are not consider. This puts people at risk and you’re really just asking for a law suit. All things that weren’t thought through and if they were, weren't given the proper attention they deserve. I hope more consideration is given the future.

Parking nightmare solved!. Heading to the MN State Fair, a friend suggested we use the Lime app and save ourselves $40 in parking by parking our car about a mile away and finding some Lime bikes to ride to the entrance to the fair. We were a little skeptical, but downloaded the app anyway. Parking at the fair is usually stressful and costly, and our day today included neither of those words. The app was easy to install and set up a profile/payment option, and the bikes worked great! The best part was we didnt have to find a docking station, we just dropped them right next to the sidewalk and walked across the street to the entrance.(I think everyone else was jealous). Upon leaving the fair, we found a bike and a scooter to ride back to our car a mile away. The scooter was really fun! We will definitely be recommending this app to friends looking to save money on parking and to those just looking to have a fun activity to do!

Charged us for 10 minutes of going nowhere. My boyfriend and I were trying to use these scooters on a bike path in Austin. Having never used them before, we weren’t sure if they were allowed on the path or not but we assumed it would tell us if they weren’t. We started our ride and they worked for a little bit, maybe like a few hundred feet, but after going down a large hill onto the dirt path part of the trail we couldn’t get either of them to work. We tried but they wouldn’t start back up and at this point we figured they were not allowed on this path (although nothing changed on the app or scooter screen indicating this at all). We tried to end the ride but they were “not in a proper area” to end it so we had to push them all the way back up a hill and back to the pavement we got them at just for the app to charge us the whole time we pushed them. Both of us were charged almost $10 to go nowhere and become out of breath having to push these scooters around. After submitting a complaint 2 weeks ago I have yet to hear back or get my money refunded lol.

Scooters behind locked fences :(. I’m sure this will get lost amongst all the other reviews but here goes- this is a really wonderful app with one flaw; on multiple occasions, i’ve walked to a scooter and found that someone has parked it behind a locked fence, in a parking garage, or somewhere that is otherwise blocked off. I can hear it ringing, I can see it, but I can’t get to it. it’s quite frustrating to say the least. I wish there was a way to indicate that someone has parked the scooter in an inaccessible location- maybe there already is a way to report “improper” parking, since you’re supposed to take a picture after parking, but if there is i haven’t found it. it might make sense to impose a minor penalty/ fee on the person who parked the scooter inaccessibly, so long as the person who finds it can provide photo/ video evidence that the scooter is blocked up somewhere it can’t be retrieved from. maybe prompting people to explain why they’re cancelling a reservation would be a good time to check that the scooter was correctly parked?

Very Inconsistent. Look it’s not a bad option if you live in an area where it works out better to take a scooter than it is to take a car. I live in Los Angeles where you can take a scooter almost anywhere.. almost. I have issues with the app randomly changing up my preferred payment method to Apple Pay instead of my card and then telling me that Apple Pay didn’t work. So now here I am wasting time trying to change up my payment method. Also the app randomly decided to log me off. I had a day where it logged me off more than 4 times all during very important times. Times I’ve scanned a scooter, get charged, and have to scan again + deposit again because apparently it didn’t read the previous scan even though they took a deposit for it? Imagine someone with very little in their bank accounts trying to go through this? Yikes.. All in all, this service is very inconsistent and full of bugs, even after all this time of being in operation. I wouldn’t call their services terrible however this company needs to iron out the kinks and only then will I change my rating. Until then, it’s sits at 2 stars because I can at least find some use for it from time to time. E scooters are a great idea, let’s just make them better and easier to use. FIX THE BUGS

Great scooter ride. My husband and I took a break from the kids on Friday night and went out on a date. We went to downtown St. Paul to the stone arch bridge and there we found Lime for the first time. We decided to ride together and rode 2.8 miles before the battery died it was the perfect amount of ride time for the site seeing we wanted to do. It was very easy to use and you are able to lock and pause the ride with ease. Unsure why other reviews state they couldn’t use their ride again, my guess is that they were not using their app correctly. For the 2.8 miles we were charged for just over $9, which is reasonable! Other reviews state that they feel that’s too much since you can get an Uber for under that price— here is the problem with that 1) Uber cannot bring you were Lime can- bike trails, common parks, site seeing.... Uber can drive you to the location but it takes something like lime to get you through said location so you don’t have to walk everywhere. 2) charging- think about how much work it is for the person who goes out to find these everyday at the end of the day to recharge the scooters and bikes. It is time consuming! 3) 10 mph cruising speed! The perfect speed! Definitely worth the price paid hands down!

Writing bad review on scooterless walk to work. I rode lime scooters exclusively for months because they were safer and taller (better fit for me) than Byrd or Lyft. However, the app's never been great (lags when you need to lock and if you don't wait, you'll be charged for not locking). What's killing me today is I unlocked 3 scooters (in Nashville) on my way to work just to find each wasn't working. That's a dollar each for the 30 seconds it takes to realize that scooters not working. So is lime leaving broken scooters tipped over on the sidewalks to collect my donations for their repairs? The dollar to unlock needs to go away anyway. I ride 5 times a week, report every issue I find, but because my rides are short the dollar doubles the cost. Frequent riders need a discount on unlocking even when the scooters work.

Terrible. The app is terrible. Not user friendly. I had a credit of $25 for about a year because it charged me several times so I just decided to finally use it. First it’s not easy to find how much credit you have, you have to search for it. Ok so I go to use it and decide to do a group ride. When I ended the other rider I didn’t realize my own scooter didn’t end til I saw it was still on. The app doesn’t show the rides that are currently running and it’s not easy to find. I had to search around to find mine and finally end it. The credit I had ended without warning and it just kept charging me. It would be nice to get a warning. It’s not like I can keep track because it doesn’t show history on what I’m being charged for the other rider on my group ride (something I figured out later). I thought I still had more of my $25 credit because my history showed only my ride which I had to figure out on my own. I thought it showed history of the “group ride” together but it doesn’t. So by the end of the night I figured out my credit ended and I continued to be charged. Not good business and I won’t be using Lime anymore and neither will my husband and friends. Disappointing.

DO NOT USE LIME!!! USE BIRD INSTEAD!!!!!. I tried to use lime for the first time on a trip with some friends in San Diego first off the app is trash I had good reception but the app wouldn’t allow me to register a scooter for the longest time. I decided to get the $20 option and Once I finally got one I rode it for about 20min, about 8 miles of riding then got off at bar parked and snapped a pic. As i returned for some reason I couldn’t use the same scooter when there was plenty of battery left so I tried to use another one and it didn’t work so I used bird which is way BETTER THAN LIME. After a very pleasant experience with bird I notice I had a notification that said lime had take $40 dollars from my account plus another small $5 fee I check the app and there is no remaining funds in my wallet. The ride I originally took with them was no more that $8 dollars SO WHAT HAPPEN TO THE REST OF MY MONEY ? Customer service is trash after emailing them and waiting for about two weeks they didn’t answer any of my questions and just told me I would be refunded $1.40. I didn’t understand why that amount Would be refunded and they never said anything about why there was no remaining balance in my wallet for the app. So to conclude THIS SERVICE IS PATHETIC AND I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD PLEASE IF YOU ARE READING THIS USE THE BIRD SERVICE INSTEAD IT IS WAY BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“Avoid sidewalks”. Recently a change was made so that the scooters will bark at you through a voice box that screams “AVOID SIDEWALKS” if you ride on a sidewalk. That sounds well and good except that you know, PEOPLE PARK THESE THINGS ON BIKE RACKS ON THE SIDEWALK YOU ABSOLUTE MORONS. So the NANOSECOND you start the ride, before you’ve even had a chance to retract the kickstand and get on your way, the scooter is already berating you in front of everyone like you did something wrong! It’s such an absolutely MISERABLE and HUMILIATING experience. Furthermore, because you rely on buggy trash geofencing for this “feature”, it often goes off IN The MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. And god forbid you’re lucky enough to have a bike lane to ride in, because it will scream at you THE ENTIRE RIDE. no cap lime you straight up need to fire whatever talentless mouth-breathing hack suggested this as the solution to sidewalk riding. Instead of shaming riders who simply wish to not be MAULED by a distracted SUV driver, you could lobby your local government to build more protected bike infrastructure instead of capitulating to their pathetic car-centric demands. You are such a miserable mediocre company and I can’t wait for you to go under. Update: your parking fine system is disgusting. I literally followed all rules, parked inside a viable zone, against a rack and still got a ticket. Beyond pathetic. The contempt you have for your riders is astounding

Not quite the adventure I was looking for. I was enjoying the beautiful weather in Dallas with my daughter today on a lovely lime scooter. As I was nearing a turn, I noticed the steering wheel seemed a little tight. I turned it a little and it seemed to loosen up. I then jetted of again. The feeling of the wind in my face and the my hair blowing in the breeze made me feel like a teenager again. Then, all of the sudden, baaammm. The entire top end of the scooter falls completely off sending me on a 14 mph dive onto the concrete. I may be going out on a limb here, but I’m guessing these aren’t serviced often. After my daughter determined I was in fact alive and there were no holes in my head, I stood up and hobbled about 1/2 mile to my destination. I then decided to give Lime a little call and tell them about my “travels.” Customer service was kind (she seriously was very nice) and sent me a multiple page incident report that must be completed in order to be considered for a refund. Should you feel adventurous, especially if you are over 40, might I suggest 5mph and bubble wrap. I, however, will be avoiding green scooters like the plague for likely the remainder of my years.

No refunds for error in what the policy says the scooter will do. I am very disappointed with my first experience using the lime app and Scooter . How can there be an app that runs the scooter software but doesn’t have a backup to turn it off ? Online yes it says it will turn off after so many mins , I waited over 30 mins bc my phone died on the way home with the scooter, being a first time user I will never make this mistake again, if I ride with lime again . It continued to run up my debit card the entire time . My husbands ride cost him $9 , mine cost $19 for the same fairly short distance . I called the customer service to see how to turn it off , auto response was not help . I went online followed the directions, had the bike in park , never turned off . I had to literally sit outside next to the bike while my husband went to get my charger , charge phone in the car next to scooter , then take the stupid picture to turn the scooter off . I got billed for time I wasn’t riding it off of what I see as a flaw in the software . Any given time something could happen to a phone, what if the person drops it and it breaks ? Would the scooter just continue to run up the card . I tried turning it off with my husbands phone and app , nothing , no back up plan . Disappointed in my fix experience.

Charlotte Nc. Horrible experience after horrible experience. Hello all I’ve been a juicer with this company for a few months now and it’s been an absolutely nightmare to say the least. As a juicer (Charger) you go out every night to pickup lime scooters and charge them by or before seven in the morning the next day. Well the games this company play is for instance they drop the pay rates right as you pickup these scooters, customer service is pretty terrible they read off a list so every problem is treated the same weather or not it actually is. Hubs which are drop off location disappeared to the point that no hubs are available any longer leaving you to manually drop each scooter which causes the pay cycle to get completely screwed up and it leaves room for them not to pay you. They will also leave you waiting hours and or days on end for responses to problems that should be fixed immediately. They also send out their operation team to shut down and pick up scooters while the juicers are out, so while looking at the map to harvest ,all you see is big white van and large numbers of available scooters depleting due to operation removing available scooters to harvest. App glitching constantly causing wasted time and wasted money wear and tear on your vehicle. All around a really lousy company to work for.

Some problems. This app has a great idea and actually works pretty well... for the most part i still have troubles with some of the vehicles being kinda broken or havin lower battery than anticipated, but thats not the main problem, and is going to happen regardless anyway. The problem i am experiencing is the app. Sometimes itll error on me three or four times in a row before i can end my ride making me pay for unused minutes. There are also times where the app shows a vehicle having a full battery when it actually doesnt(idk if thats the system or the vehicle itself tho). What does make me kinda mad tho is i noticed theres no way to end ride using the app for the lime bike, and the lime bike will purposly take until the next minute EXACTLY to end the ride causing you to pay for unused minutes. Its some nitpicks i have, but its those kind of nitpicks that make people think this app is so bad. Its really not. It works for the most part but could definitely use some tweaking and revision.

Great scooters, great prices, annoying bugs. First of all, Lime scooters are great if you live in a downtown/inner city area. I attend the University of Louisville, and I find them to be a fantastic resource if you end up running behind for a class, or if you’re just feeling lazy one day and don’t want to walk. However, I take issue with the payment system, specifically Apple Pay. Ever since I’ve had the app, and no update has fixed this, the screen will freeze the moment the app attempts to initiate your Apple Pay. This is resolved by closing the app reopening it to resume your purchase, but it is an obnoxious bug that has eluded the updates and continues to plague the system. Normally, I wouldn’t fault an app for a bug or two here and there, but this occurs every single purchase, no matter what. This easily takes the app down two stars, in my opinion. I could also ramble about the state of disrepair some of the scooters can be found in, but that’s mostly attributable to the other riders that trash them and don’t report it. All in all, please fix this bug and I’ll give you all 5 stars.

Fantastic fruit. Literally the best thing since sliced bread! These scooters are fast, (17mph) furious, and amazing! Easy to use map helps you locate your ride. And once you’ve happened upon it’s pinpoint location, if you still can’t find it, you can ping it. Very user friendly and a blast to ride around downtown anywhere available. I live in Myrtle Beach, SC and so wish they were available there. Any time I’m in an area that they’re located you can bet I’ll be on one. Once activated, they disappear from the gps map so that others can’t find and take them. You can pause your ride if say you and a few buddies are riding around downtown bar hopping and simply resume as soon as you get back outside. And let’s say God forbid that someone does jack your ride, you can deactivate the scooter or once it gets so far from your phone it will completely stop. They are the literal best and you absolutely have to try them out if you haven’t. Add it to the bucket list!

If you are wondering whether to try out Lime…. Lime was incredibly frustrating to use. My husband and I were visiting Washington D.C. for a few days and needed a way to get around to different sites. We decided to try Lime and bought a ride pass for 60 minutes of use over two days. The idea of Lime is a good one, but the practical use of the vehicles (especially parking and maintenance) is very poor. We were unable to park in multiple locations where other Lime vehicles were parked, even in locations where the app showed us parking was available. There is little to no parking available near the typical sites travelers visit in D.C., which means you must park blocks away from the locations you are trying to reach. We rode a total of 10 vehicles in two days and experienced issues with brakes, accelerating, and locks on 5 vehicles (bikes/scooters). For those looking for transportation options in D.C., we highly recommend NOT using Lime, as the experience was frustrating, confusing, stressful and extremely inconvenient.

Yes and no but over all it’s a no.. I really love this idea of this product, but it is so insanely over priced, from personal experience you can ride for under 2 miles and pay more than you would to Uber 15 miles... so unless you are using lime for the experience then cost effectively there are cheaper ways to travel home without a dui or safely and efficiently without a car. (Also I would like to say on multiple occasions the app has given the impression that scooters were over half way charged, then once activated they wouldn’t work and I have yet to be refunded the amount regardless of me filing a complaint both times and them stating they would reimburse me the money the for the second time, either way I’m still waiting for my reimbursement from one occasion let alone the second that they stated they would. The app also states in the App Store that it costs $1 to activate a scooter which is a blatant lie because it was $1:50 when I first downloaded the app and has raised once again) over all I would say this is a money hungry business looking to take as much money from customers as possible until they are irrelevant and no one uses said product anymore, which is sad because it seems like such a great idea if lime could only manage to care about it customers as much as the money it makes. This company makes me wish there was a 0 stars review. :/

Inconsistent. I have been riding these scooters and bikes for about 3 months now (over 200 rides), and at first they were great, not super fast but fast enough to get to where you need to go. Over the last 3 months I’ve noticed speed decreasing. There’s no reason an ebike should only be able to go 10-15 mph especially if I’m pedaling and trying to go faster. When I’m in a rush I try to use the bikes because they were faster than the scooters which is to be expected. But even when pedaling hard the speed tops out and at that point there really is no use for it besides maybe hills which I have very few of. Fix the speeds in Denver please. I use these almost every day and It seems the limits and speed reductions are just to get more money from people spending more time on them. Idk it’s really frustrating sometimes when one bike will be great and the next one I use will be extremely slow. You aren’t supposed to take them on the sidewalks so at least make them fast enough so I’m not getting honked at every time I happen to get a slow one.

Won’t refund your money, won’t unlock, brakes don’t work on some. The first time I used Limebike, I requested to add $10 to my account and next thing I know there’s $40 on there. I went ahead and attempted to unlock a bike and figured I would handle the $40 later. Well, the bike I attempted to unlock wouldn’t do so, even though the app said it was unlocked. So I left that bike and went to use another. But couldn’t unlock another because it said I was already on a ride. 4 hours later I went back home and passed the original bike on the way, still not unlocked, but I was still charged $9 for the ride I never took. So once I got home I called Limebike and talked to a representative who “refunded my $40”. That would be all fine and dandy if I actually got my money back. Unfortunately, it’s 5 phone calls and 4 weeks later and I still don’t have my money back. On a side note, these bikes are cluttered around the city and most of them have crappy brakes or rusted bike frames. Slightly dangerous if you ask me. Check your bike before you unlock it!! it will charge you for the 2 minutes it takes to realize the brakes don’t work.

Absolutely horrible product and service.. Lime just hit Nashville and as excited as I was to try it my first experience has been terrible. First it took me walking blocks and blocks trying to track down one. (I was walking for more than 30 min) None were where the app said they were and I reported 4-5 missing before even finding one. It’s battery was almost dead but it got me across the pedestrian bridge where I found another that said it had 15.8 miles. When I got on it my app now said 13.4 miles range. I was going 2.7 miles. About half way through the trip I hit a hill and the thing started struggling (btw I weight 135lbs) and the range now said 7.1. Got to my house and the range said 0. So I put it by the bus stop on my road and took a picture for the app to know it was there. Couple days later I get an email not asking me but actually accusing me of taking the scooter. And demanding that I immediately return it to the public. First of all, an accusation like that better have some strong evidence since I know for a fact I don’t have the scooter. Second the tracking tech has to be able to locate it. Or this entire business model is doomed. Will never use this service again nor can I recommend it in good conscience.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I would give this company 0 stars if I could. The other day our lime car randomly locked with ALL of our stuff in it- backpacks, school books, computers, wallets, etc. and we could not get it open! No matter what we tried the car stayed locked. When we called customer service we were on hold for hours before we reached an agent who could help. Once we finally got through they were rude, told us the couldn’t send someone (even though it was on a weekday during normal business hours), and left us stranded! Anytime we asked a question we were met with the same answer of “I don’t know” or “No one can help”. We finally asked to speak with a supervisor and low and behold were on hold for even longer. We even called AAA and the police department for tips on how to get the car open. If this company wants to be taken seriously in a big city with a lot of customers, like Seattle, then they need to reconsider their product reliability and customer service. I would recommend avoiding their products at all costs.

This is getting old. 1.5 miles from my house. Decide to go a little out of my way to get a scooter. Can’t find it even though I’m right on top of it. Start walking and spot another one .2 miles away slightly out of my way again. Same story. It’s not where it says it is and the bell accomplished nothing yet again (I’ve never seen it work). Continue walking and decide (stubbornly) to make one last effort to go for a slightly out of the way scooter. I find 2 next to each other and am told by the app I need to add at least $10 to my account. As I reluctantly do this one of the scooters is taken. I then realize upon refilling my account that “my” scooter won’t run because I happened to try to scan the one that had too low a battery. I’ve probably spent 30-50$ on life scooter rides and have probably shaved a net 2 minutes off of my walking commute because of instances like this. While they are fun to ride as a means of entertainment they continue to not be a viable option for transportation.

Greedy scooters. So I was riding my scooter in Austin then the scooter just died. I went down a curb so I thought I may have knocked something loose. So I thought I should end ride then start again so it would re register or what ever. But didn’t work but after troubleshooting i learned it was dead. The app warned me that I was parked in a illegal spot or out of the area and thought it’s fine because I’m not leaving it here. I move the scooter to a correct spot then got another one. Later that night I got a text saying I would receive was a 25 dollar fine. I thought again it’s fine because I move the scooter and took the picture and everything. I check my bank account and they took the money out almost immediately after I parked the scooter. I tried calling the number but I can’t ever talk to a human and reading other reviews on here I feel like I’ll never get it back. They are too expensive and quick to charge. 1 filler every time you get on a scooter and 15 cents a minute adds up quick. Though that is not to bad with the good experience of riding the scooter but be carful they will be quick to fine you.

DONT USE LIME PERIOD, TERRIBLE COMPANY. While visiting Seattle, my friend and I wanted to use the lime pods instead of renting a car for the weekend. After applying to use the pod, reading the requirements, I agreed to use the 15 dollar deposit fee knowing that I had nothing to worry about. After agreeing, my drivers license was declined and I was told I would receive an email explaining why. Never got an email... so then I called the next day complaining because I had been declined and told no reason why and was told the problem was because my issue date of my current license was less than a year (even though I’ve legally been driving more than a decade and that was not explained in the requirements) and that the only way to be cleared was to scan my old license that says VOID on it. I don’t know why anyone would carry an old, unusable license around. Upset with this issue and explaining I wanted to speak to a manager about this problem since this was a glitch in their system I was instead hung up on and they have successfully taken 15 dollars from me that I can’t even use in the state I live in. TERRIBLE company, don’t support them, you’ll just be disappointed.

Love the idea, but a few flaws.... I’m brand new to bike sharing. My husband and I used them while in St. Louis this weekend. For the most part- it was FUN! Here’s my feedback that could make it better for those like us. We do not live in a city, so this is only something we will use on vacations, for that you should be able to pay as you go and not be required to put $10 credit first. Second, we should be able to scan two bikes with the same app to allow family members without a phone (our son, for instance) to ride also. Finally, I wish we could have reserved our bikes while we were at the zoo. I would have gladly continued to pay, but they needed to be locked, so it ended our session. When we returned an hour later, they were gone, and we had to find alternate transportation. This could’ve been an issue if there was not other forms! All of this may be a part of the service already, but it want clear if so from the initial use of the app.

They stole my money. I use this app a couple weeks ago and at the end of my ride instead of charging me for the $2.33 that was owed. They instead charged $15 to add back onto my wallet that I did not authorize. Today when I tried to log into the app so that I could use the money that they had stolen from me, my account was locked out for some reason so I called contact support. They were basically helpless in every single way. I asked them to transfer the funds to a new account they wouldn’t do it. I asked them to help me login because the email address attached to the account is no longer active. They wouldn’t do it. And basically, the lady just kept talking in circles saying that there is nothing she could do nothing she could do so I’m calling my bank and telling them that I did not authorize that charge because again they stole money from me. Don’t use the app it’s better heard such as Uber really anything else I’ve never had any issues with us one after stealing money for me, has left a really bad taste in my mouth would not recommend.

Beware! Charged $100. On May 9, I decided to give LimeBike a try. I rode an electric assisted bike from work to my apartment. First bike I tried to unlock didn’t work, but still charged me $1. I figured it was no big deal. Moved on to the bike next to it and it worked. Rode home (~6 miles) and parked the bike outside of the apartment complex. Locked it, was charged my final fee, and went inside. Came outside about 6 hours later and saw the bike was still sitting there. In the morning, I noticed the bike was gone. I assumed someone rented the bike and thought nothing of it. 1 month later, I see a $100 charge from LimeBike. I received an email stating they could not find the bike and I was the last person to use it. Now they are saying I’m responsible, which makes no sense. The entire business model is based on users renting bikes and leaving them wherever they want for convenience. This means that anyone could take a locked bike and the person who used it last would be charged. I will update if LimeBike does the right thing and refunds my money, as I have no control over what happens AFTER I rent a bike.

DFW. First ride in Dallas. Our bikes worked, the map worked, my bell worked, there’s a nice place to store your phone... And the sounds are cool. No complaints! There are plenty along Katy trail. I did however accidentally push the green button on the card payment twice on accident and it charged me $20 onto my “wallet” so now i feel like i HAVE to use it, and didn’t get my “first ride free”. It will automatically charge you $10 to put in your “bank” on the app. (Sneaky) ....There wasn’t a way to undo my double tap. (I was new and barely learning the app, so I was a little annoyed there wasn’t a warning.) And another downfall is that I’m from Fort Worth. It would be cool if if they had these on Trinity trail! We have bikes along it, but the red ones that get locked up and need to be paid for at the certain locations & returned. (I have my own bike as well but it’s nice to drop them off wherever without the hassle of loading) . Additionally , I see the company carries scooters, having more scooters around would be fun. I don’t see any near DFW

Bogus $25 parking fine = deleting app. I wish I could rate this 0 stars. What a let down after my initial joy riding LimeScooter for the first time in Austin this past week. I picked up my scooter in front of the JW Marriott and rode it half a mile to Moonshine Grill. There was a problem with the gas lever: I had to turn it like a dial instead of pressing down the lever for speed so that made for a tricky and somewhat dangerous ride. I only discovered this after I started my ride, but I got the hang of the broken lever. My real disappointment happened when I found another scooter (this scooter had a working gas lever) and returned to my hotel. When I initially tried to park and lock the scooter, I received a notification that I was in an illegal parking spot and I could receive a fine, so I moved to an area with other Lime scooters. I tried to park and lock again and got no notification when I proceeded to end the ride so I snapped my picture to complete the process. As soon as I completed the process, I was notified that I was charged a $25 fine! I have tried to reach Lime via the app support process, via their internet page, their phone number and text, but they have yet to respond. If I don’t get my $25 refund from Lime, I’ll consider it the cost for a lesson learned. I should have stayed with Bird Scooters. Their scooters were more likely to be in service than the Lime scooters... and NO BOGUS FINE!

If it’s not one thing it’s another. When it comes to the scooters if it isn’t one thing it’s another, some the screen doesn’t work, some the throttle is broken, most are hardly ever charged and today I got one AND THE BREAKS GAVE OUT ON ME!!! I was riding home from work and I don’t get off until anywhere from 12:00 am to 2:00 am and there was a single car on the road that decided to RUN A RED LIGHT, and when I went to go break I COULDNT! Plus the steering was off so I couldn’t really swerve out the way, so my two options were to 1. Get hit by a car and end up in the ER, or 2. Bail out and get road rash from my hip all the way up to my elbow. So guess which I went with…. Well IM FINALLY DONE WITH LIME!!! Don’t expect to see me use your scooters anytime soon. Y’all need to really fix up those scooters before anyone in the Denver area should ride them. If I would have gotten hit by that car, lime and Uber (since they are partners) would be paying for my hospital bill! Sincerely - A 19 year old guy who y’all couldn’t care less about

Poor App UI, broken bikes, and unresponsive customer service. While traveling in Berlin my partner and I decided to rent Lime bikes for the day via the group day pass, using the app for the first time. When I went to buy the pass, my phone crashed and in a rush to meet friends I must have purchased a one person day pass by mistake. We go about our day renting bikes (encountering several broken lights (illegal to ride in Germany) and flat tires) and accidentally rack up 75€ in fares for my partner (!!). There was no notification at the end of each ride letting you know what was charged, so we had no way of obviously knowing one bike wasn’t covered by the day pass When I contacted customer service to see if they could retroactively reduce the fare, they would not be work with me and did not respond to my specific questions (they copied and pasted a policy and gave me a discount on my next ride as a “courtesy”). 50% off my next ride is not helpful when my day of bike rides added up to the cost of a rental car. There are so many bike share app options - don’t waste your time with Lime

Fun, but too many duds report machine-ready. Limes are fast, responsive, and can help me just cut loose, meditate, enjoy sun, feel wind, and tour my rain forest diverse urban landscape. But though engines are strong, they hiccup too much on average. I hardly ever get a Lime that’s ALL in great shape. There’s almost always a problem with the engine like sporadically jamming up for a few seconds, or a brake that slips, or a user interface that reports you at 40% charge but then 10% only four minutes later, or a bad lock, or wobbly wheel. I’ve also eagerly walked to get a Lime that reported 100% charge only to find the thing lights up — but the engine is totally broken. This had happened to me like 5 times since I started using them. But my current city had a exclusive contact with Lime.

Terrible application, Terrible customer support. Please be advised that this application has terrible connectivity, terrible user interfacing, and terrible customer support. In my experience it’s been nothing short of frustrating, excessively overpriced, and not dependable in any way. I have had multiple issues with the login and account access, I’ve had multiple issues with the actual vehicles, And most recently I have been blocked entirely from the service because apparently I’ve used too many payment methods, which by the way all are in my name and are legitimate accounts, and that has triggered their system to permanently blocked me for suspicious activity. Upon speaking to customer support not only was the representative apathetic but merely offered me the solution that if I’d like to continue using the service I would need to create a new account use a new card number that’s never been used with any of their services before and reapply for line access services as well. Oh, we have a detailed email to Lem access letting them know the reason that I’m trying to apply for another account under the same name as this might trigger the system to permanently block me from use again. Overall for the cost that it will incur you you might better purchase your own vehicle out right. With a handful of trips online scooter you will have easily paid off your investment believe me.

Charges for faulty equipment. Charges for scans for faulty equipment.. I was charged for the minutes it took trying to figure out why I was getting the ⚠️ on the actual scooter when I tried to excel. Finally walked to find another one and dispute the fail on their end. Got to my destination finally. Had some drinks. Scanned the nearest scooter. Got charged. Scooter and app didn’t process but my payment did. Transferred more into my account. Got charged to scan again, closes the app, the app didn’t refresh to show the ride was initiated. Repeat previous paragraph it worked, yet I was not refunded for the previous unsuccessful attempt stated above. Jesus take the wheel, I’ll just take an Uber unless y’all own Uber then i’m using my escaLEGS or lamboFEETies and lose some weight. This is too much scams y’all it’s hard times and I risk my life riding y’all’s MF scooters at my account, and y’all just wanna be greedy like Violet Beauregard, y’all should be naked Coconut cuz y’all coo coo for coconuts trying to come at me at 15 mph on some drunken Karen I can drive an suv but not a razor type of ish. I’m madder than a hatter y’all got me twisted like an umbilical chord. Y’all got my heart racing like a presidential election. I’m hurt like a Sarah McLaughlin commercial.

LimePod is Trash. This is for LimePod usage. Firstly, I had trouble signing up. I got an error push notification from Lime saying they needed more information from me to process the application. I clicked it and...got taken back to the app with no other information and no way to find more information. Your app needs more explicit error messaging. I happen to know what the error is because my girlfriend also went through this rigamarole, but if she hadn’t, I wouldn’t know what my next steps were. That’s a bottleneck where you could be losing customers. I also happen to know other problems she has (with pausing rides, seeing cars marked as “available” on the app and then getting to them and them not being available because of problems with gas or with the cars themselves, locking and unlocking and the capabilities that the support team is allowed to perform) which is why I’m giving two stars. The extra star is because once the cars are rented, they’re usable.

not worth it. I had my first experience with these scooters and it’s a total scam!!! once signed it into the app with all your card info your ready to get an “available scooter” but like the app is so laggy u sometimes have to rescan multiple times since the “scan didn’t go in” then a screen show up saying it “10 dollars for an hour and another option 18 dollars for 24 hours” so I got the 1 hour pack and my friend got the 24 hour pack and came with alot of complications. My friend scooter was so low on battery it stopped an hour in. we wanted to cancel her ride to get a new charged scooter and me buy another hour. but we couldn’t cancel her ride at all with the app! and once I checked my receipt I was being charged 25 dollars!!! and my friend 30 dollars!!! we of coursed called the company since it’s double the amount we thought we were paying. the representatives were completely rude and were all saying it was our cards fault and that the transaction wasn’t completely made but the money was completely taken from our cards!!! I feel like this company makes profit from lying to their customers with their fake starter prices shown while completely charging u double or even making multiple transactions from people cards without telling them. DON’T GIVE MONEY TO A COMPANY LIKE THIS!!

Good but could be perfected. I like Lime scooters... they are handy for getting around and I think they are well priced. However, it is frustrating to see a scooter in the app, walk towards it and have it disappear as you get close only to have to find another one and have the same thing happen. There should be an option to reserve the scooter to stop this futility. Also, the scanner in the app does not work at night unless you are right under a street light. And if you try to wheel the scooter a short way along the road to get it under a street light it screeches at you - which is very loud in a suburban street and no doubt the bane of any parent trying to get little ones to sleep. I tried to use the torch on my phone but as soon as I opened the app it shut off the torch - perhaps the app could be fixed to allow these to work together for people who want to get a scooter home after dark.

Needs improvement. As far as the app goes to rent a bike its fine. The bike mount is installed so the phone is in landscape view but the app doesn’t change orientation and you have to look sideways at it whilst riding. The notification for something wrong with the bike needs to have some sort of Freeform text input. You can only notify about certain parts of the bike having a problem but can’t notify for things like the helmet missing or the phone cradle rubber being broken.

Do not use this scooter in Dubai. This is hands down the worst scooter I have ever tried. There is no customer support, the scooter was fast for a total of 10 seconds then a turtle appeared and was so slow For entire ride, I never used this company before and got stuck with the scooter for an extra 8km On 3km An hour because there was in a slow zone which they did not indicate or should even allow scooters in if that’s the case!!! It was dangerous too, unsteady and crappy, and no clear indication of where I can park it!! No customer service! Beyond rubbish experience

Beware International Transaction Fees. I’m in Australia and was charged an international transaction fee on top of the ride fee for a scooter ride. Not happy that Lime does not disclose this. Lime, please provide local payment service in Aus to avoid these fees! Would prefer not to be forced to preload $10 credit and instead pay for each ride individually. Sign up failures in the app happened a few times for myself and friends when first signing up. Trouble scanning the QR codes as well in poor light. Great concept and enjoyed the ride but needs work on app sign up process and disclosure of fees. Also think surge pricing for scooters is ridiculous. Flat rate/transparent pricing please. Helmet holder wouldn’t go astray. Often scooters have 2 helmets on them and you have no idea where to leave the second one if there are no other scooters around.

Poor communication from the app to the bike leaves me out of pocket on holiday.. Flew into Sydney today and thought Lime was an excellent choice to explore the city. Had a few issues with unlocking the bike due to a wheel spoke resting against the wheel lock on the bike. In trying to unlock the bike, there was no indication that this was the case from the app, but after adjusting the rear wheel, the lock opened with no issue. After finishing my journey, I’ve noticed that my account has been charged the correct amount, but also an extra $28 has been withdrawn from my bank account. While I have no issue with preauthorisations, overdrawing a customer’s account without their knowledge due to a technical issue with the bike itself, as well as poor communication from the app to the bike, isn’t really fair. I understand that in pre-adding balance to a Lime account bypasses preauthorisation stage, and this was suggested to me as a solution to the issue, but this wasn’t actually clarified until I had to call support. Nowhere on my ride receipt does the preauthorisations show, and even if the money isn’t lost forever and will return to my account, I’m out of pocket while I’m on holiday, and the reimbursement will not be expected to return to my account until I’m home. I would suggest a clear message to the customer so they’re aware of the preauthorisations, as well as fixing the hardware issue that caused the issue in the first place.

Great experience, sometimes difficult for couples/friends to locate scooters together. Tried it for the first time with my partner in Brisbane. Was a great experience! Easy to use and unlock, pricing was very reasonable Would suggest solar panels, as it can be disappointing to get one and it’s almost out of charge; and clearly marked suggested designated drop-off spots, especially if you want to scoot with a friend. GPS was a little problematic

Safety Concerns. I just saw a guy getting knocked to the ground by one of these scooters while a group of about 10 adults and children standing on the footpath talking to me while I was walking 4 dogs. It must have missed the dogs by millimeters and at such a force knocked a grown man to the ground. Luckily the guy was ok but I hate to think what might have happened if it hit the dogs or a child! Not sure what safety measures can be put in place but its something of concern. I like the idea but you are going to get many cases of stupidity arising.

Great but can def be improved. Loving the scooters. Gets me to work in half the time of the bus and for less $$ Have found lately that there are lots of available scooters that don’t show up on the map. Maybe just a bug? Also there should be a way to reserve a scooter. Super frustrating chasing them down to have them snatched *just* before you get there.

Expensive rides. While the App is nicely made and the scooters only cost EUR 1 to start, the real costs are significant. I scooted along the Seine in Paris for just over a kilometre and paid over 10 EUR. You pay for time and distance. Go for it when you want to have some fun but taking any other mode of transport is definitely cheaper. Beware of constant location tracking on your mobile which drains the battery.

Good way to get around but too expensive. I’ve used the Lime bicycles a couple of times and really liked it, so easy to find them (they’re everywhere!) and being electric makes riding around so easy and fun. Having said this, I probably won’t be using them much at all as o find the price way too expensive and I can get a Uber ride for the same price (quicker and less effort) 🙄 I really hope this will change as Lime gets more popular!

Great but can be better. I’ve been using scooters to come and go to work once it’s 2km distance from my place. The experience is really nice, however, I’ve noticed that some of them don’t have horn which can be dangerous. Also, I think that should have more scooters available in the CBD and nearby suburbs once it’s very annoying walk long distance for getting one and when arrive get surprised without any at the place it shows in the app.

Poor app and features. The app itself is quite basic, and functionality is poor. Often, it will show you a bike, but when you get there, the bike wont unlock (has happened over 50% of tge times i have tried). They could easily allow in-app testing to see if the bike is functional before walking to the bike. The app is clunky, and after trying to add in an rmail address after signup, i gave up as the confirm email link kept taking me to the app store to downlod the app. Also, charged me in a different currency to where i live. Overall, pretty disappointed.

Bikes not there. This is a great service but 3 out of 6 times I’ve reserved a bike it hasn’t been there or has been locked in an underground car park. And worse still there’s no way to flag when this happens so that they can take action against the people who park in private access car parks and/or can’t fix when there is a bug. I’ve tried everything to alert when this happens but they’re so intent on not having to deal with problems they make it impossible to get them this information. Get your act together Lime and start to value the improvement opportunities you will get from allowing your customers to provide complaints outside your narrow categories.

Easy rider. The first time I had trouble with unlocking the helmet (unlock on app, then follow instructions!), but once that is sorted it is easy to use. I like being able to differentiate between scooters and bikes. I just wish there were dedicated lime bike parking near major railway stations. In my view too many people leave them lying around.

Scooters will be the future. I was not a scooter guy before, but now that I’ve tried it I think the future of transport will be something like this. However… right now Lime need to lower their prices. 4 bucks for a 15 minute session is really expensive, and that was with a concession. 8-9 dollars would be the standard rate. It’s expensive as hell, but it’s also fun as hell too.

Excessive fares!. I signed up only to try the service, it estates it was $1 for unlocking the bike, plus $1 every 30minutes, they do not stipulate that there is a difference between electric bikes (everywhere) and non-electric ones (no where.. I wonder why..). I got charged $13 instead of $3... they DO NOT tell you the fare they will charge you, and just to make a comparison, the Uber ride (normal Uber, not Uber Pool) would have cost me between $10-$12.. I feel scammed and even though I sent a request and tried to complain, no response was given, they just charged me more than an Uber..!!! BE CAREFUL WITH THIS APP..!!!! I already deleted my account and asked the bank to cancel the transaction. 200% NOT recommended.

First class. So I love walking but had often seen these scooters around the city so wanted to give it a try First off the app was simple clean easy to setup and use and love that it uses Apple Pay (more secure payment) My first attempt at hiring a scooter I think went ok as I was learning my way around the app However I just couldn’t get the scooter to drive even after realizing I was in a no ride zone and moving outside the zone Giving up decided was probably my bad and had not done something correctly . Later on get an app notification apologizing for my none ride experience and stating full refund completed. First class business practice team well done

Need a way to show bikes are reserved.. The most awesome experience… 4am NYE ride back to the hotel, what a great opportunity, thanks Lime for making this 2wheel dream a reality… In saying that just between you and me: you need to work on your app interface for payments took me 4 goes and I nearly didn’t bother, then just went through PayPal because I had too, and scanned 7 ‘reserved’ bikes in a 5 km radius. Maybe stick an LED on it that shows it is in use (like taxis do) but otherwise…loving your work!!!!

The birthday ride.. I ride this scooter to take a video birthday message to my dear friend for her birthday message I chose todo this because when I’m riding the scooter, I’m smiling. I’m simply smiling so wide that i feel as if I am a child again I feel carefree and happy I fed joyous and light. My true self is alive and I wanted her to see me. Not the sad responsibility laden heavy shouldered woman, but a light happy 50 year old woman She is also turning 50 and us frightened of the weight of that age. I wanted to show her my silly happy light hearted 50 year old woman self. We don’t have to be practical and sensible just because we are grown up!! Emmalina pumpkin eater

Idea is great but the app is a disaster!. The biggest problem with the app is help is unavailable. Any errors say to contact support but no contact information is available. The only phone number available is if the scooter is damaged but problems with locking, payments, anything else won’t let you contact support. The app is originally from the US so the only payment phone number was an overseas text to the US (we’re in Brisbane). If you’re just using the app for yourself, you will be frustrated but if you’re using for you and family, it’s a new level of frustration. I used my credit card for my wife and daughters and the system would not let us use the card on multiple devices. The app said to (you guessed it) contact support without telling you how to contact them. We literally wanted to give them money and they didn’t take it.

Great Scoot!. Took one for a run during the Brisbane trial. The app worked well and the scoot was plenty powerful and fun. I hope we get to keep them as it's a great way to get around the inner suburbs especially with our rubbish public transport. Only negative was the brakes were really stiff on the one I had but it was clearly brand new and just needing an extra adjustment. The app let me report the issue after I logged off so hopefully those get looked at.

Lovely bikes but poor app/service. Why do you make it so hard to disclose that your eBikes cost 30c per minute in Australia? Also, why is it so difficult to raise a complaint via the app, having to type in personal info you already have from me and going through endless captchas to prove that I’m human? Why does it sometimes take 5 attempts to unlock/rent a bike (ending up with 5 pre-authorisation charges)? Why do you refer to prices in £ in Australia? Don’t get me wrong, the bikes are great but your app is substandard.

Horrible service for Sydney at least…. You could be getting off the bike having parked next to other lime bikes not in use and it will say you are not within parking zone… also whenever I finish a ride the app seems to crash and won’t relaunch for a minute or two all the awhile charging me time I’m not using. The speed restriction is soo over the top too, about 22kph according to my gps… incredibly over priced too. How is cycling around a city 2-6x more expensive than catching a bus… what a joke lime is and support is no help

Hours of Operating. Would be useful if the times of when people are able to use limes are posted on the app. Was wondering for a couple months why it never shows anything during the late night/early hours of the morning. Thought my app crashed or something. So would be good to see that on the app. Had to find out from a juicer that limes don’t work during the early hours smh

A few issues but great overall.. I use these e-bikes constantly in Melbourne, Australia. They are great for my short commute to work. The support team is phenomenal! I have contacted them for little things, like no helmet or problems locking bike, and big things like extending the parking zone around my house. They send the local team to investigate and solve most issues within days. The usage zone is good, it covers everywhere I need to go as I like right in the city. My two biggest issues are 1/ non existent bikes that are on the map but not where they should be, even when I’m apparently right on top of them and 2/ no helmet on most bikes. I have my own helmet now, that I take to work to ensure I’m compliant with local laws.

Bikes great. App - not good. Map technology is terrible. Can’t see streets or lanes. You will walk to where the bike appears and find it’s not there. Map is unable to be rotated to get better bearings. Once you are where the bike appears to be located on the map you Zoom in super close and see a faint alley barley visible making the convenience of the bike for transport ruined by the extra kms you have to walk to actually find the bikes. Once the app is better this should be a good service.

HERES WHY I GAVE 3 STARS!. I love lime because it’s fun and it is a good way of socialising for a very low and affordable price. What’s been the issue lately is that I haven’t been able to ride for a full day without the constant need of thinking about how much time I’ve got left before my ride pass ends. I used to use the 24 hour ride pass which was great because I had no interruptions and it lasted me the entire day. You’ve now removed the 24 hour pass and have given the option which is the 240 minute ride pass which gives a lot less time and is more than double the price than the 24 hour ride pass was. I’ve now got to pay more for less time, doesn’t make sense right? I originally switched from Neuron to Lime because Neuron was just way too expensive for me and it didn’t seem like they had many benefits for the buyer. So I checked out Lime and saw the 24 hour ride pass and went wow… that’s an amazing deal. That ride pass was the reason that I switched to Lime and probably the reason for a lot of other people too. Please bring back the 24 hour ride pass so that myself and others can ride comfortably and stress free for only a very low price.

Fun but SO expensive. I just got around to trying one out a bike as there was one parked outside my house. It was fun and so easy to ride, unlocking and everything was fine. But I only took it around my neighbourhood for 15-20 mins and a few km’s and it cost over $15. If I was to use one it would be to go a lot further than that (otherwise I would just ride my normal bike) so that would surely end up costing close to $50. That would end up way more expensive than Uber, ola etc. so I don’t see the point. Feeling confused!

Ride history bug. There seems to be a bug with the ride history with the e bike. I’ve done 10 rides and only once has the ride history shown the route of my journey. The rest of the rides show either the pickup location or a straight line from the pickup and destination location. The ebike can take some time to get use to. To ride and slow speed when you have to navigate tricky areas you have to brake and pedal at the same time. The motor is not as fast as I would of hoped for. It will get you up a hill be very slowly. This would make me very nervous to take the bike on a busy road. But having said all that it has reminded me of the joy I had as a kid riding around. The ebike is a lot more practical than other non electric share bikes around which are just too much hard work to pedal on one tall gear.

Love riding like but... 3.5 stars. I love the idea and I love the product, But! I would be using lime everyday if it would except my card details I’ve tried 5+ times to put money into the app but it loads then refreshes to the home page without giving any information and I have to re-enter my card details etc. I have used the same card previously a few months ago and when I made a plan to ride with lime (which I was depending on to get somewhere) I just couldn’t make it work. But if you are able to make the bikes work, they are amazing, convenient and fun!

Fun but don’t be fooled as it does cost.. My husband and I got the app and thought it would be a few bucks to zoom around Adelaide for a bit of site seeing. After all was said and done between us we were charged more than $50 for 2 scooters for an hour and 15 min. It was fun and the scooters worked well but felt the price was misleading.

Crappy app and scooter. I really liked it at first but I started having a lot of problems with the scooter. I tried to end the ride but it wouldn’t let me. I wasn’t in the red zone and it kept on asking to put the helmet there but there was no helmet there in the first place. I was stressing out and waking to areas that didn’t have the red zone but the icon won’t show me where I am on the app. I was standing there trying to end the app for roughly 5-10 minutes. I kept on worrying about the money going up cause I didn’t let me pause the ride. I have had so many problems with this scooter, especially when it stopped in the middle of my ride. I will only use neuron from now on.

Unreliable. Lime used to be a viable way for me to get around (albeit a little expensive - but fast and fun), but I have so many issues unlocking bikes all the time now, or just not having any bikes around at all. When you need to be somewhere you don’t have time to click the help button every single time. It’s not worth taking the time to walk over to a bike only to find it’s not going to take me where I need to go. It usually means I’m late because I’ve missed the bus I should have gotten, or I’m forced to call an Uber. Also there haven’t been any helmets on any bikes for ages! Apparently lime says if there’s no helmet then walk to the next bike - not the best plan when 99% of bikes don’t have a helmet, you’d be walking all day!

Just wish I could reserve one!. The scooters are awesome and I love hoping on one to get around. Just super frustrating and annoying when I go the long way around or out of my way to grab one, only for it to disappear right before I get there. Really wish you could reserve scooters when you’re within a certain distance so they disappear off the map and other people don’t go out of their way for nothing.

Beware the poorly worded free offer. So, you’ve never tried Lime before, and you download the App and are met with words to the effect of “Connect your payment method and get 30 days Lime subscription free”….and you go off pedalling, only to find you’ve been charged $XXX for the ride. Now, seasoned Lime users will say ‘of course you were charged’ but this is an offer targeted at new users, and in my opinion, was poorly worded such that it is quite reasonable for a new user to infer free use of the bikes for 30 days. As I did, and, I’m sure as many others probably have. The thing is, if the Comms team wanted that message to be clear, they could’ve easily done so, but they chose to keep it murky. Poor form. Now, I thoroughly expect to be corrected - that the wording wasn’t exactly as I mentioned - and yep, I accept that. Because I can’t recall exactly. But I know with certainty that it led me to believe that there was no cost to trial the service. Poorly communicated the more cynical members of the community my think it was deliberately so.

One of the worst and not maintained ebike companies!. I used lime in Paris and most of the bikes were broken. When you took a bike then you realise the electric motor is unfunctional, you cancel right away and no compensation. Lime marks modt of the parking spots unparkable, so when you reach your dedtination, you cannot park in a designated parking spot and have to ride too far away. This was not the same with Dott and other companies. There is no support or person to talk to, so you waste time and loose money and frustrated. It is also well overpriced. Not recomended at all.

Walking for nothing.... When you look at the map you see a scooter. Then you walk to the scooter and it’s gone. Then you find another one.. when you walk some one already picked up. When you realise you are already out of your route and spent time finding a scooter. The app itself is amazing, easy to use... but it’s just frustrated walking for nothing. It should have an option to book temporarily, and even if you don’t make in time, you would be charge a fee to book and don’t pick it up. Easy! And save the frustration

Rip off and sneaky. In Sydney, I rode an e bike for only 1hr and 20 minutes only to discover later that I got charged - a staggering $37. The app never gave me a price figure before , during or after but only finding out from my bank account . So I made a phone call as to why I was charged that amount seeming it was too high. They told me it was 45 cents a minute which I wasn’t aware of before. The only message it said about price on the app was it said $10 will be deducted but reimbursed later. I could easily rent a bike for $30-50 a day at a rental bike store. Its the lack of transparency that gives me mistrust for this company.

safety. I found myself in a risky situation while using one of the e-bikes. The map screen went completely black during my ride, which prevented me from confirming if I was within a permitted riding zone or not. Unfortunately, it turned out I had ventured into a non-permitted area, causing the e-bike to stop functioning. I found myself stranded on a main road, unable to continue riding. Luckily, it was early, and there weren't many cars around at that time. I tried to walk the bike to my destination but couldn't complete the ride because the bike remained inoperable, and I couldn't determine where to park it due to the blank map. In conclusion, my experience was marred by a sudden map malfunction that led me into a non-permitted area, leaving me stuck on a main road with an inoperable e-bike and no clear guidance on where to park it. Please Fix the map!

App is in need of an overhaul. I love Lime - so easy to find a bike, jump on and ride off to where ever I need at any time. As to be expected the fleet at times will have quality issues - a wobbly peddle here, no helmet there, a slightly bent wheel somewhere else. But generally very well maintained. The issue I have is with the app - for a digital company it has a terrible user experience when anything goes wrong. Today I had an issue where the lock mechanism didn’t open upon start of trip and it charged me for this despite needing to physically force the lock open upon second attempt (and open charge). When it comes to disputing this payment there is no easy option. No trip ID to reference, no option to click into the trip and flag a problem. Just resort to taking a screenshot on my phone and emailing support. This is a bad experience and would no doubt be costing Lime significant staffing costs in reviewing these rather than automating. Need to pick up the game and hire a user experience consultant to get cracking on a refresh

Bad bike. No helmet!! Pretty bad!! I started a ride and after few minutes it stopped and I couldn’t continue.. finished the ride and started again for 20m long charged me too much for a bike you need to push too hard.. and thought I did a mistake, finished the ride and started again for another 20m up the hill and didn’t worked again.. so frustrating I had to gave up and continue walking.. at the end of few meters I paid 8$ and got few hundred meters, will not recommend at all

The application doesn’t work and it keeps charging you. I was late to work, so I got the scooter to arrive on time. What happens next is that I got to work and tried to lock the app on my phone, but there was no option to “end ride”. I stayed with the lime for 5 minutes and closed and reopened the app but it didn’t work. I was already late for work so I left. It is now after 20 minutes that I arrived to work and unfortunately it is still charging me and I don’t know what to do. Still I don’t have the end option and some homeless may jump on it and use it now and I’ll have to pay. It happened last time too. It took me 2 minutes after I arrive to be able to lock it. If it happens again, I’ll never use lime again.

Best thing that’s happened to Brissy. I loved this so much! I grew up in Brisbane and always thought it was a bit boring. But having this easy accessible form of transport while visiting has completely transformed my opinion of Brisbane. I managed to see so much more of the city than I ever have before in a short space of time. I hope they don’t get rid of them

Unreliable and dodgy pricing. It’s a great idea and when it works well, it’s handy and I had over 50 rides. Unfortunately there are some major problems. The pricing is based on their calculations and I was over charged numerous times, after locking the bike correctly. Unlocking a bike is luck, I’ve attempted multiple bikes just to get one to work. Even though the bikes are brand new in Sydney, they started to get worse in condition and reliability of power. I’ve even had to pay to unlock a bike that ended up having no power despite showing full battery. Nice try but still to many problems and too expensive to be reliable.

Issues with locking and app. I rode a Lime scooter to the very end of the allowed area and attempted to park in several different spots with no restriction whatsoever but the app didn't let me. After moving around like half a block and trying to lock again, the app just killed my phone. There's no phone you can call to get support, and because I had to charge the phone but still was like 1 km away from my final destination, I decided to leave it behind and walk to get the phone charged. Trying to avoid extra charges, I paused the ride but surprisingly enough, after raising two tickets online to get support from who knows who, I came to realised that despite of having the option of auto charge the wallet off I still got charged 27 dollars extra over the 10 dollars I had charged initially to my wallet. Really, very disappointing and now I feel that I'm arguing with the air because I didn't get any reply to the reports I sent.

Better than the competition. Lime scooter is better than the current orange in Melbourne,Australia it’s a smoother ride over rough surface such as bluestone gutters. I’ll pick a lime scooter/bike if it’s near by first. None of the bikes have no helmet on them some scooters also but expect that from disrespectful users stealing them or they are not locked property Bikes had helmets when jump owned them for a very short time

No helmet available. Great service, however when the helmet is not available when you ride, there should be an option for a before an after to prove no helmet was available at the time of booking

Safe, easy, efficient and fun. This was the first time I used Lime and it was a spur of the moment decision to download the app and jump on while on my way to brekkie. In less than 2 minutes I had the app, the scooter and was on my way. I barely needed to kick and the engine was able to take off - effortless. The wheels are hardy with good shock resistance over the sometimes bumpy paving. Steering is sensitive so it’s easy to weave in and out. What’s more, people in Santa Monica are so friendly and seem supportive of the mode of transport so I didn’t feel intrusive.

Don’t give me a fine. Why would you not be alerted if your parking isn’t right? Why am I being given a fine? $25 with no warning is ridiculous, the rules for parking are not clear and don’t make sense. If you park somewhere and it isn’t right, why do I have to wait until the next day and a $25 fine to know that it’s wrong? Surely you’d TELL ME in the moment if it’s wrong, not wait until it’s too late and you can fine me? This seems like you’re just poaching customers for fines.

Great idea not enough working bikes. Came to Sydney and bought a day ticket. On Saturday night and Sunday it was impossible to find a working bike so I feel my day pass was wasted. Also the quality was okay, too many times I could not adjust the seat or the brakes made annoying noises. Have used similar services in South Australia and the availability and quality was so much better. Sydney market needs to pull its socks up. Bigger city, needs more bikes, needs better charging service and better maintenance.

Never works. When it works it is fun and convenient, but you can never get any of the scooters to work.

Break James the rear wheel on my 1st scooter. Break James the rear wheel on my 1st scooter

Scooter coasts to a stop. It would be better if you were given the option to ballpark your destination, so that you knew if your destination would be “out of bounds”. I was on my way to destination, and then scooter coasted to stop. I was then paying for my ride time while trying to figure out what was wrong. The app wanted me to walk to scooter back where I came from because I was out of bounds. Half my ride time was figuring out why I couldn’t get any power, plus then walking the scooter back to the “scooter pile” (where other people obviously abandoned their scooters too)

Good spot. Holy

Sucks. The scooter died half way in a no park zone. That sucked.

Registration. Opened app to register and can’t. You have to scan a unit 1st. Why? Is lime charging me to register? Why can I not register 1st so I can scan and go? Or have to option of doing both… Gave three stars as it’s middle of the road and haven’t used it yet.

Continuous bug, terrible app. Had problems with parking, stoping a ride although I have arrived at designated parking area and there was only two other scooters parked there. Restarted the app and just wouldn’t detect that I was at the designated parking area. A waste of my time and money.

Ridiculous pricing - stay away from Lime!. First time using Like. Rented 2 bikes for 1 hour for me and my son in Oslo and got charged $60 which is almost $0.50 per minute. Pricing is not shown anywhere in the app and I couldn’t find it searching for it so it came as a complete surprise that I got charged so much. The only pricing I could find in other cities was a fraction of that amount. If the company charges so much in Oslo they should put pricing in the app and show it to upon scanning the bike. I find it surprising they can get away with charging such amounts without displaying pricing anywhere.

Useless, thieves! BEWARE!!!. Great idea, garbage delivery. Never any units in the newer areas of the city, ever. I would have to drive a few miles to reach one which renders the service pointless and pretty much useless. Its like they are only available to people who live down town/city central/old run down desolate areas or willing drive a few miles to reach one. This has opened my eyes to how much more simpler it is to just buy one and have it available right from home or any location of my choosing vs having to drive to a garbage neighbourhood, park my car and pray it does not get vandalized or stolen will using one of your products. If I have to drive my car to reach one then I might as well just drive my car lol. Update: This company is filthy rotten thieves, they will bill you for a service you did not subscribe to, do not give them access to anyway to steal from you!! BEWARE!!!

Buggy screen signed me up for Prime without my approval. This morning I clicked on a notification from Lime. When the app opened the background was greyed out and a ‘We've updated our Privacy Policy’ pop up was displayed at the bottom of the screen. I was attempting to tap on the ‘I agree’ button but it was unresponsive. So I tried to click out of the pop up and still the app was unresponsive. I then closed the app only to immediately receive an email saying that I’ve signed up for ‘Lime Prime.’ Not only did it not ask verification from my Apple ID for this purchase, it charged my registered credit card within my approval. I only use Lime on occasion and had no issues with service. But this is ridiculous and scammy!

Wrongful Advertising. Education time! When you say “ #RIDEGREEN Lime is on a mission to build a future where transportation is shared, affordable and carbon-free.” First of all there’s a big big difference between “carbon” and “carbon-dioxide (CO2)”, everything you see and feel is “carbon” based, including humans. Second of all with the batteries, do you know how big of a operation it is to mine for the rare metals in the batteries you use? AND these batteries contain more elements than a whole car does. Before they even see a customer, they’ve already created a big amount of “CO2”! Not to mention the minerals for the metals (scooter frame, micro chips, breaks). Now the oil based products used, Rubber handles, tires, plastics. Now unless you charge these batteries from solar panels or windmills/dams, the main power source and usual from a gas burning electric plant. I’m giving this a 3 star because of the wrongful advertising, there is absolutely nothing green about scooters. But I do enjoy the shenanigans and fun I have with these.

Bleepin awesome. This is such a great idea Wanna take this back to Canada

Do not recommend. Half way through the ride stopped, we missed our restaurant reservation as a result Could’nt even park cause “no ride zone”, as other scooters were flying by us. No mention of this on their app/their quiz before starting the ride. Had to call to cancel the ride, the lady continued to argue with me how we have to pay for our full “ride” (even though we had to walk for 15 min to find designated parking area) as “it was working when started” after 10 min of back and forth, wouldn’t refund, and said have to be on phone for 10 more min to see if it can be refund lol Not a good experience, terrible customer service

Best time ever. This is the best invention ever. Period.

Terrible ride. The App only shows the parking lots but no restricted zones. End up, the bike suddenly stopped operating! ( it is too heavy and hard to ride when it is not functioning). It charged me over CAD 60! only for 7.5km!! Because it is not allowed to park the bike, while we are site visiting . If I know the bike is not allowed to use in the destination, I wouldn’t rent the bike! Won’t use it again.

Shame. Great concept but seems buggy as hell. The amount of scooters scanned to scooters ridden must have been 12-1. And group ride seemed to be buggy as well, insisted the 2nd unit could only be a bike as the 1st one was a scooter. Super great and fun when it worked, but the headache to get it to work makes it hardly worth the hassle.

1 ere experience. Premiere experience en trottinette. Je recommande fortement mais couteux.

Faster to walk than set up this crap. The walk to my destination took less time than trying to set up your garbage app. Never again

Got bamboozled. I usually take the lime scooter to the area I park from my uni cause it’s expensive af to park near the university. And I convinced my girl today to just get a lime scooter so we could get there easy. So I made her download it with my referral code so we can both get it 1$ off. Usually it’s only a 2.50$ ride there, so me thinking oh if I get the 1$ unlock fee out we only have to pay 1.50$. She was against the whole thing and kept telling me can just walk it’s not a biggie but I was being hella persistent cause it’s so fun.So I get my girl to download it and it’s all g we get on and all of a sudden we get hit with a warning on the scooter saying theres a speed restriction so we going slower than 10 year olds on the street. Now we embarrassed af cause these little kids are passing us saying on your left like captain America. So my girl already annoyed and I laugh it off and say at least it’s cheap and we don’t have to walk. So the usual 5 mins ride took 10 mins and when we finally got to the car and tried to lock the scooter we get hit with the message saying you can’t lock it cause it’s outside the allotted area. So now my girl really mad cause we have to this take this slow a** scooter back to where we got it from then walk back to the car. And she’s fuming at this point cause instead of a 10 min walk it into turned into 25 min ordeal of embarrassment all cause I said babe it’s faster if we just take these scooters and they are just so fun to ride. So next time warn a brother before you update your policies?!? Cause mans just got hit with a 10$ bill and that’s what ever. But the L I just took is forever engraved into my soul cause my girl is never gonna let me forget the time I didn’t just listen to her and just walk. And that’s my day folks ✌🏽

Be careful, rate 0 star if possible. I downloaded this app and I saved my credit card. Yesterday I was walking by the scooters locations. I was surprised they charged me 46$ even though I didn't ride any scooter. They just got the money from my account for walking by the scooters location!!!!!!

Lime scooter sucks. I went to San Francisco for the first time and rode a lime scooter. Tried to get to the Golden Gate bridge and the scooter died 3 miles from the bridge and left me to walk. I tried to lock up the scooter, and it did not lock. I tried to contact customer support, and no one was there to help me. I would avoid lime scooter like the plague as this was absolutely awful

I took one to swans. Very fun.. Thanks lime!

Great ride. Excellent way to traverse Lake Tahoe

Cool.. Cool

Don’t bother. Don’t use this terrible service. It’s expensive and you can’t even park it where you need to go. It’s a complete waste of time and money.

Fun and great idea but takes more money then it says. The app said I was charged 2 dollars. I tried a scooter for literally 1 minute and was charged 7$. 100% never using this again, immediately lost my trust.

Expensive, slow, frustrating. I rented a bike in Kelowna and rode along the waterfront. These are very heavy bikes. The electric assist sporadically turned on and off without warning, but only for about ten percent of the ride. So basically you are riding a really heavy and slow bike that once and awhile has a little electric burst. Trying to park this is a nightmare. The app will give you an alert saying you’ll get a fine if you don’t attach it to a bike rack but the lock is too short to attach to anything except the helmet. I took mine to a bike rack only to get an alert that I’m not allowed to park at a bike rack. I spent about half of my money just trying to figure out parking because the meter is running both while you figure out how to unlock it and trying to figure out how to lock it. The user experience is awful, the ride itself is awful... not sure that there’s anything to like here.

Happy but not happy. Love the idea, had an enormous amount of fun but would not lock... kept charging me for 10 mins after I wanted to.

DO NOT USE. Multiple times I have been charged 35$+ for incorrect parking and I parked in the designated parking spot and now my account has been flagged for suspension with my card and ID on it and I have no way of recovery because on there lime support site there’s no section for account recovery and I have no way for anything to be reviewed my account with lime bucks or whatever they’re called is just gone

Permanent warning messages. Most of the scooters are locked inside the private property. The app doesn’t allow you to properly find it or report missing. The idea sounds fun (even though it is expensive) but it is a disappointment.

Horribly inconsistent. I have never had anything but problems with this service. It has failed more than it has worked. Half the scooters are busted or dead. Good luck using it. I would never rely on it working. Always have a backup plan.

Paywall. You cannot see the zones and designated parking spots. If you are not actively renting. So actively paying. I travel a lot in the USA for work, that mean that i cannot know in advance which hotel would be best suited if i want to use your services Service that i would LOVE to use Completely absurd and greedy

You cannot and Lime will Not Delete or cancel your account once they have your credit card Number Lime will not delete it they will continue to charge your credit card until you contact your credit card and block lime from your account what a Hassle what a Fools mistake for getting a lime app and account FUK ME

Unreliable. Garbage. Only works occasionally, my boyfriend and I scanned several limes that told us to “select another vehicle” as we were surrounded by others using them. Will not use again, crap company.

Keeps saying I’m not parked in a designated parking spot when I am. PLEASE READ BEFORE USING THE LIME APP: I’ve been using lime bikes for the last two years. About half the time the app says I’m not parked in a designated parking spot(even when I am) and tries to charge me $10. Most people probably don’t call in to complain(since they don’t post a contact number) and just accept the charge. This is terrible business practice and very scam like. Fix the app and stop taking advantage of people who are trying to save the planet by lowering their carbon emmissions.

Subscription charge in the winter. I got charged a subscription fee in the winter, where lime does not run there scooters during the duration of winter and idk how I’d go about getting a refund, imma toss a scooter off a bridge for the 8 dollars I’m not gunna get back.

Harder than I thought. Harder than I thought. I’d rather walk because it’s less tiring. Not like electric bikes, we must do all the effort and more to also push the weight of the scooter. Followed all the instructions.

Ridiculous price. Charge way too much compared to other cities and countries. If you want people to adapt to healthy and convenient life styles. Charge a reasonable price like other cities and countries actually do. Robber?

Bullied away from using an available scooter. Don't put your money into this. The customer service may be good, but fellow customers are bullies. I was not allowed to unlock a scooter by jerk who had it "reserved".

They keep charging until you find special parking. They keep charging per minute until you can fine one of the few parking spots to drop it off. It will Not let you end the ride and keeps charging you. I ended up walking the same distance because of their limited parking. Hold off for now because without a lot more bike parking this app gets expensive quickly.

Pretty good, not perfect. The app isn’t quite as intuitive as I’d like, but you can eventually figure it out.

Tour of Paris. C’est bon!! It was amazing!! Great way to get around the city if you don’t have much time!

Peter Garbage. Went to use one past 1030pm and not available. Trash.

Frustrating glitch. Wasted an hour and 10 minutes tonight trying to cancel a ride and figure out what changed to card. App freezing and nothing you do including driving to the zone results in a successful cancellation of the ride. Never get on these things!!

Lime scooter. Very good for summer ride

Best ride of my life!. Thank you Lime! This to scootering to another level!

Serious issues with the app / scooter. I picked up a scooter from the drop off point and (having activated it) found out It was not able to be started/used as this zone was now not in use. I then was forced to walk the scooter home to drive it 5km to another drop off point as you cannot pause or end the ride otherwise. Oh, and the sidewalk alarm binged the entire way for the drive - so even that sucked. Awful experience. While My “ride” was refunded ($25 of it) this wasted 2 hours of a weekend to drive a scooter around town. Never using again.

Lime Seattle downtown. By 7 pm, running into a few dead scooters or bikes. But fun and practical in a city with lots of hills.

Couldn’t end the ride.. I wasn’t able to end my ride and had to walk all the way back where the scooter was picked up from. Said there were too many scooters parked at my destination, only you have no way to know how many are currently parked there. Such a waste of time.

Way too expensive. Too expensive I’d rather take the taxi or Uber instead

My account was RESET as a 1st time user!!. I Love the Price (cheaper than competitor), convenience, smoothness of these new LIME mopeds but in 2 separate occasions, when asked if the 2nd helmet was present, I honestly responded, “NO” & then the app said, I needed to start all over by taking (again) a driving video… usually set for 1st time drivers & I wasn’t allowed to exceed a 10 mph limit! When I called to complain, the call mysteriously, dropped! I had nothing to do with the disappearance of the two separate LIME helmets & felt I was being “punished” for being honest! If this LIME APP, takes pictures of parking spots, then they should take pictures of the helmet case … proving that there weee INDEED, 2 helmets inside, instead of 1 missing & the next person taking the blame for a dishonest person❣️🙏🏽

Hope you don’t have to contact customer service. The rides I’ve had of been OK. But There are a lot of providers with scooters here in the bay area. I emailed their customer service the other day when I had an issue and I don’t know if they outsource or just have poor direction and staffing but it took a week until they wrote me back at which time they sent me a macro. I pointed out that I had forgotten that I had even emailed them and that this was way too long for a reply. To which I got another macro that didn’t address my concern from either the first or the second email. Also the bells don’t work well. And honestly they are pretty important to not have to Yell at people when you’re behind them. Also the map can be very incorrect on the location causing you to have to search for the scooters. I just read through the other reviews and it looks like this is a consistent issue. I was going to rate this higher because the scooters are fun however it is dangerous to use the service that has poor customer service.

Miami, FL review. I wish people would write which state they’re in. In my area, I noticed the bike parked behind a bus stop. I read up on it online (reads more like one big advertisement with no detailed information) and downloaded the app. While I like the map which shows mileage from one bike to another, the street corner location is not written out. I guess I’d have to look when I get in the general area. I like facts, not estimates. App shows which bike rides cost $1 plus an additional 15 cents per minute 😳, while others are simply $1 per 30 minutes. It adds up. The deposit amount for the initial ride is not indicated. I’m supposed to wait and see what is charged later? I think not. If bike is stolen, rider is responsible only if bike returned unlocked. Otherwise, rider is responsible. Well, what if the bike is stolen while I’m riding it? Wouldn’t it be easier to steal one of these bikes while a person is riding it instead of trying to steal it locked up? And, how much would we be charged? That’s not indicated either. I’d guess at least $500. I have to guess because this information is not given. I insure my car, why not an expensive bike? It’s a shame, but no, I will not be riding any time soon. In addition to the app’s lack of full disclosure, I’m seeing too many reviews about bad customer service and billing charging errors.

Good but.... I love being able to have an electric scooter/bike on-demand! But PLEASE upgrade your app soon! On my most recent ride (evening of Aug 22), I was unable to close/end the ride. This resulted in my being charged for almost 6.5 hours of ride time instead of only the 12 minutes that I actually used the scooter. So I’m pretty sure I ended up “treating” a few folks to rides for the rest of the evening into the early morning. Supaya, the Lime CS Rep I was routed to when I called the next day, was wonderful and offered to refund me for the extra charge beyond my usage. Thanks Supaya! As for Lime tech team, please help make Supaya’s job easier by fixing the “End Ride” button on the app. Then I can consider giving 5 stars.

Rider beware of the risks!. I have rented twice in Seattle. Both time electric assist bikes. First time bikes outside my hotel. I traveled on level surface only. It was a little hard to get used to. The bikes are heavy frame partly due to the battery pack. Overall I had fun but I did almost run into traffic because starting off can be too fast. Second time we took some hills. My bike could not handle steep up or down hills. I walked the bike up a hill. Very difficult! These are heavy bikes. Going down my bike didn’t stop or slow enough. I had to crash into a curbing to avoid cross traffic at the bottom of the hill. Mind you I had no helmet. I have one at home but not traveling. I was lucky to only be bruised and abraded. I walked down all the subsequent hills. So rider beware what you can handle and what the bike can handle. Otherwise I found the locking and unlocking inconsistent. And I won’t ride without a helmet again!

Great concept. Love how it changes your relationship with the bike. You have all the carefree aspects of riding a bike without the hassle of maintenance and securing it. We live in California and are visiting family and Key Biscayne staying in three different locations and the bikes enabled us to drop them off at the end of our rides wherever was convenient for us. Some bikes seemed to be first generation no gears with solar panel baskets for shopping convenience and lighting the head lights. The second generation ones had three gears and more sophisticated features (I.e. Cell phone mount on the handle bar). Even though we had access to our own private bikes, we really enjoyed the user experience of bike sharing. Highly recommended!

Not a great first experience. I’ll be honest I wasn’t a huge fan of these things due to the amount of them cluttering my neighborhood. I even felt the recent Southpark episode was a valid opinion of the scooters. But one night after walking too far to a Circle K I decided to give one a try. Somehow my payment on the app didn’t process correctly and I started to do normal scooter start by foot to get it going and the pressed the throttle. At this point the wheels locked and threw me off the scooter. This caused the me to go off face first into the asphalt resulting in a broken rib and stitches on my chin. From that point the scooter worked fine and I reached my destination (the reason for two stars instead of one. I’m not unreasonable.) but the ER bill drastically exceeded the cost of an Uber or taxi so just make sure you confirm payment prior to starting your ride. Personally I will never use again.

The future is now!. I love the fact that we live in an age that I can use the little computer in my pocket to rent an electric scooter and ride around the city! 🛴💥 The lime app is well designed, easy to use, and provided a lot of info about the ride. I really like that you can see how far you will be able to go on a charge, and that you can send a signal to the scooter to make it ring making it easy to find. Best of all, riding one is a blast! I found myself grinning from ear to ear scoot’n around the city. My main feedback for the development team is I feel strongly that a reservation feature is a must. My only frustration came when trying to get my hands on a scooter. I had multiple scooters snagged right in front of me after walking 10 - 15 min to get to one, then find myself having to walk another 10 - 15 min to get to another one, all the while knowing I might not get it in the end. What about implementing a 15 min reservation period so you have a chance to get to the scooter you want without fear of the scooter getting snagged? Other than that, I’m a big fan of what you guys are doing! Keep up the great work! 🤙

Chasing Scooters. I’ve only used your service 3 times, and have thus far truly enjoyed the experience. It is practical and fun. I however immediately knew what the one pitfall was - you can not reserve your scooter. I just experienced first hand how unfortunate this nonexistent feature is. I walked 2.5 miles to my destination, chasing 3 different scooters on the way. As I approached the third one, I watched someone 10’ in front of me take the scooter. When returning home, I had the exact same experience. I chased 2 scooters, and again, I watched someone take the second one 2 feet in front of me. I walked another 1.5 miles before finally getting a scooter that was almost dead. I had to kick it about half way home (1mile), as it didn’t have enough power to get up the hills. In total, I chased 6 scooter and walked 4 miles before getting a nearly dead one. You absolutely must offer a reservation option with a 10-20 minute window to take the scooter. My experience was somewhat extreme, and maybe an exception; but it was absolutely avoidable.

App wouldn’t scan licenses. My mom and I went to go try to ride the scooters today, and neither of our apps would let us scan our driver’s licenses. We tried different lighting, angles, scanning the front, the back, etc. And the app just would not scan the license. I heard some reviews say that the app would have something pop up to manually put in your license info, but nothing ever came up. We also tried closing out of the app and reopening it multiple times, but it was to no avail. The rest of the app seemed to work fine, but without being able to scan our licenses, we weren’t able to ride the scooters. I’ve been wanting to try these scooters out for a long time, and this was a very disappointing experience. I really hope that this was just a one time fluke rather than a reoccurring issue, or that if this has been an ongoing problem that it is resolved soon.

Good equipment but unhappy with customer service. I used Lime about 5 times when it was available in the Boston area. It was easy enough to use and reasonable in price. However, after they pulled out of the Boston area, I tried to get a refund for the balance. After working through their customer service, they said they sent it. Checking up on it, my bank never received it so I inquired with Lime again. They said they sent the funds to the card on file but the card was long canceled and that I had to work with my bank to get the funds or prove it was rejected (which was not something the bank could do). Lime doubled down on this position so instead of spending more wasted time on this, I gave up and let them keep my money than to fight a battle they weren’t looking to be reasonable or logical with. Instead of just transferring my balance via check or a new account, they wasted my time and kept my money.

Bad all around. I’m not sure where to start. Very bad experience with these. You can’t use ride pass for group ride and they do t make that clear. Half the time you can’t end a ride. It says you are in a location you can’t turn in ride even when you are at a line location. So you spend 10 minutes trying to end rude. So $5 you have to spend fighting with the app to end ride. When you are in a group it’s hard to find enough rides. They charge you to reserve one or you spend money on the orhers while you find enough. They limit your speed to a walk if you are on the sidewalk but it doesn’t change when you enter a street. I rode at walking speed down a street for a mile. So they just made more money. It seems like they make it as difficult as they can so they can charge you more. Customer service is bad and takes days. Never again. I suggest using anything but lime.

Rip off. Been charged so many times for scooters that don’t work. Such a racket. Sketchy billing and even after submitting tickets they don’t refund the money. Only time I get a refund is when one is automatically triggered usually when the scooter has been reported broken so many times that they acknowledge this fact in the system yet somehow still allow people to unlock them. Billing is ridiculous how it’s a full minute of a charge for even 1 second of time especially considering the app takes a while to load and then the app also takes 10 seconds to remember it’s on a ride and for the End button to appear after you have it open. Coincidence? No. They’re cheap and sketchy and want to steal peoples money. Bad ethics like this just make ppl dislike the brand. If they were a legitimate company with any staying power they would put buttons on the scooter to end your ride with your phone and not charge ppl so aggressively.

Lime app for iOS devices.... Everything is kind of messed up on my lime app for my iPhone. Firstly, the battery percentage does not show at all it just shows the circle and whether it’s red yellow or green but it’s blank in the middle where the percentage should be. Second, when I take the final step photo of the limes right before I drop them it goes right back to the scanning QR code’s to drop them. Or right back to confirm photo to finalize the drop. The map page should show after the scooters been dropped not back to confirm picture. And third, and this is my opinion. I believe you should be able to see the map and browse around it as you are moving but instead it shoots you right back to your current location on the map as you are moving so you aren’t able to look around on the map while moving. In conclusion, Aside those flaws, in my opinion, that should be fixed or checked out everything works fine real time. It’s not so laggy at all. I hope someone from lime could maybe hear me out on this issue so my nights of juicing could go a lot smoother :) Thank you- -lime squeezer

What a great and amazing idea. I heard Miami shores was having a meeting to terminate the use of these lime bikes all over the neighborhood Didn’t think much till I took the dogs walking threw FIU and there was about 6 of them just waiting for me , I pulled out my phone dl the app and scanned a bike it said 1st ride free .. ( cool ) thinking I’ll never use it again not knowing how much it is to ride .. we went for our walk returned the bike as another someone was looking to get in one I asked how much they charge he says $1 an hour I’m thinking I pay $10 in Hollywood hmm.. I have an Airbnb and what a concept if I can provide my guests a bike I don’t have to maintain for such little money or no money for me who would complain about $1 ? So now I’m going to look for a couple to leave in front for who ever is in the mood for a nice bike ride cheep

You’re like a friend I can depend on. You’re always there when I need ya! :) Every time I get on a lime bike I feel like I’m in a commercial... leaving my boyfriend’s house later than planned, have to get home to change and get to work... but how will I get there in time?! And then puff! A lime bike appears. Tonight I was walking home when it started thundering and lightening I started walking a bit quicker but I knew I couldn’t outwalk the rain that was about to pour down on me. Then puff! A lime bike appears! I hop on, get home, and as soon as I’m inside it starts down pouring. One regret is that I didn’t finish the payment option earlier because in my panic to get on the line bike to save myself from the storm, I added way more money to my account than I wished. Oh well.

great concept, clean design, but the bikes are poorly maintained. i use lime all the time. out here in rockaway, if you want to go from 13st to 90st, boom—just find a lime bike near you and you’re on your way. my friend uses it to bike down to a surfing beach when we surf, and there’s always one nearby. problem is, there are only E-bikes here. no regular bikes in sight, and i’ve never seem a lime scooter before. that’s only a concept to me. don’t get me wrong, the E-bikes are great, but they’re way more expensive. another issue is that i never know if a bike is in service, so it’s kinda a luck-of-the-draw situation. this is an issue described in multiple other reviews. additionally, sometimes i’ll get off the ferry and try to grab a lime bike so i can bike along the boardwalk instead of take the shuttle. i try to unlock the bike, and unlock it does... but only in the app. meanwhile, back in the real world, the red lever will still be down and stuck that way, making me waste a dollar as an unlock fee. i have also heard rumors that after this summer (2019), lime will be shutting down in rockaway. i don’t know how accurate these are, but if they are true, well... that’s depressing because the service is great. long story short, i think this is a great concept, but the bikes themselves are poorly maintained. please fix these issues ASAP.

An affordable work out is the best work out!. Had a great day, with the convenience of the Lime Bike I could go every where I wanted to without the hassle, gas, and effect on the environment. While also getting a great work out and spending time with my family. Great idea guys, my only suggestion would be providing a more comfortable seat for the rider. After a while, as a female it really does take a toll on you. Also providing more seat adjustments for us shorter riders for a more comfortable and stress free trip. As a little side idea regarding the basket provided in the bike, leaving access of bungee cords to hold your water bottle and/or other personal items to allow for more secure storage while riding about.

Oh now that ain’t right!. Ok, overall I like Lime, their scooters are of really good quality, I think the app is very nicely written and is easy to use, and they are on par with Uber and Lyft in terms of availability in my Denver neighborhood. What I don’t like, and they are the only company that does this to me, is this ridiculous and underhanded way they make you purchase minimum $10 blocks of scooter credit from them. It’s like being pickpocketed and nothing makes me more furious than being told they just charged me $10 without asking me for an authorization. I’ve turned off auto-purchase many times but the app just resets it back to thief mode after an update. It’s bull&$@£ and is exactly why I’m hesitant to give any app my credit card info. I often have a choice between Lime’s scooters and Uber’s or Bird’s or Lyft’s, can you guess who gets my business when that choice exists???

I’m a Tahoe Local and I Love Lime. From the time Lime first hit South Tahoe with their Bicycles to the following year integrating the scooters and all of the issues, challenges, likes and dislikes from the masses who travel here to true locals who live here, Lime has met all of the challenges, made the needed changed and implemented them faster than just about any company I’ve ever seen to resolve issues across the board which is to be commended. This year has already provided proof Lime is ready to serve the masses, scooters are consistently charged, they are heavier, more stable and more dependable and they are everywhere which is a hugely positive endeavor which seems to have to come a long way from hunting down a scooter only to have the battery be almost dead and wobbly from too many overly aggressive and disrespectful folks I’m not easily impressed, but Lime has done what needed to be done so that everyone has the opportunity to cruise about town or down to the lake or just back to the casinos and home. I’m a Tahoe local and I love lime scooters, I’m pretty sure they are here to stay, and that’s a good thing Thanks lime. It continues to be a blast !

Bikes show up on app but are inoperable. Bikes in low traffic areas are often hidden from plain sight. Found one in an underground parking lot that cost me 20 minutes of failed unlock attempts and talking to tech support. Tech support was worse than useless. Told me to uninstall and reinstall the app and try again. I had just freshly installed the app 10 minutes earlier but he insisted. After waiting for 5 minutes to download the app on my mobile network from the underground parking garage it did the exact same thing, failed to unlock the bike. So the tech support said to go find another bike, because that bike needed maintenance. Total waste of time. After 15 minutes of walking and searching, found another bike upside down in a bush. Muddy handle bars, crappy ride quality, weak pedal assist, and still cost $6 to go 1 mile. Uber would definitely have been cheaper and a lot faster. Walking would have been faster overall and if it isn’t faster than walking, and isn’t cheaper than a cab, what good is it?

Always fun, but it’s a hit or miss. I live on a college campus, so access to lime scooters are amazing. Unfortunately, several of the scooters literally look like they’ve been hit by cars and are damaged. There are many that will have full charges, and you’ll unlock them thinking you’re good to go, but you get on and the scooter won’t accelerate. I’ve had more good experiences than bad, but it’s kinda ridiculous. Not to mention the fact I rode one tonight to my friends place, got ready to leave, tried to scan one to ride back to my place, and it said I had insufficient funds. So I go to add more, and somehow the app allowed my account to go -$3.70?? Don’t know how that’s possible, but i tried to add more funds, and it won’t let me. It keeps saying that the amount can’t be deposited from my account, when I know for a fact I have plenty money in my bank account. Kinda ridiculous and majorly inconvenient since i use lime almost every other day.

SCAM: Bogus CC charge for cancelled subscription. ***Do not subscribe for a subscription*** STAY AWAY..USE BOLT, BIRD, RAZOR, or LYFT instead. This company charged my credit card for a subscription I cancelled. When I emailed and also called customer service they gave me the run around. The rep proceeded to tell me that I can cancel my subscription in the app, when I already did that before! She said she cannot cancel my account because she is unable to verify my email...even though my email is on file (huh?). When I attempted to verify my email in the app it shows that my “email has been claimed” (what!?). Now, the cancel subscription option is not showing in the app anymore!? This company is unethical and their reps do not know what they’re doing. When I requested to speak to a supervisor I was denied because that is something “they do not do.” Oh, but they can continue charging my credit card for a service that I cancelled and do not want....BEWARE OF THIS SCAM

Rip off thief’s. I joined their membership to have 0 unlock fees. That’s a lie. They charge your card $1 that I’ve yet seen refunded back to me. I’ve purchased a few ride passes and was still charged the by the minute and my ride passes magically disappeared. I have proof of this in my bank account and payment history with lime. It’s a scam. I will be bringing this to the BBB because they are charging you for services that your not getting. I’ve had one ride pass work and that’s it. The others didn’t and I was charged by the minute. There isn’t anyone to call. Never use this service. They are stealing money from customers by overcharging and false advertising. The lime memebership was supposed to get you your first 30 minutes for nothing and then will be charged. That never happened. Like I said if you don’t mind your money being stolen and charged for services you never get, then use lime. There is a reason I’m seeing less and less of lime. I think I found that reason.

Works, sometimes.. We used Lime to go from East Austin to downtown. We did not realize there is a huge area around the capital that you cannot use them and we kept getting routed to places and spent 15 minutes until we could park them, which cost us a good chinch of change. Later we tried to get some on Rainey and it let me hook up to one, but then wouldn’t hook up to another on (bad connection go to another area). Then tried to disconnect from one and it wouldn’t let us so we were basically just spending money to stand next to one and try to disconnect over and over again. I wonder how many hundreds of thousands this company makes just from people struggling to connect and disconnect. We eventually got a Bird and not only was there no issue, but the ride was way smoother and faster. I HATE getting ripped off.

Awful.. This app was awful. I’ve never had an app fail so miserably at the one thing it is intended to do. I’ve used other mobile scooter apps before and it was seamless. Easy and completely worry free. With this app, from the moment I went to park the scooter it all went terribly. I couldn’t pause, or lock. Even though it did lock and the app didn’t register I locked it the first time. I couldn’t unlock without needing to contact support. Okay, we’re In the clear now. Wrong. Seconds later it freezes up, prompts me to add funds which later i see we’re wholly unnecessary because the app charged me separately anyway. Once I was finally able to use the scooter after having to fiddle with the pause/lock/unlock situation for 10 min I was able to ride for about a half block before suddenly and without warning, my scooter died in the middle of an intersection. Was it the scooter or the app? Both? Who knows but the end result is neither worked and it was unsafe to use. All that for $20 charged and I went maybe a half mile total. And lastly as if that wasn’t enough, it used 12% of my battery! In less than a half hour span of time. That is absolutely an insane amount of battery life completely gone for that time frame. I would give this app and this company -10 stars if I could. I’ve never been more let down by an app much less a product or service in my entire life.

I ❤️LIME. Me and my family had an amazing experience with the group ride feature. We visited Tulsa Oklahoma and have been wanting to try out a brand of e scooters so after a little bit of research on my part we decided on lime. Setup was super easy for us 1. We downloaded and opened the app and pressed the group ride button. 2. Then we scan the barcode by the handle bars and confirmed payment and it activated easily by itself. 3. Three of us rode for 34 minutes and only spent 39 dollars all together and when we were finished we left them in an active area and ended our ride. CONCLUSION:we had a great time and will definitely be recommending them to our friends and family.

Best Scooters. I’ve rode with almost every scooter Brickell has to offer. Bolt, Lyft, JUMP, and Bird. So far, Lime is the top one of them all. First, Lime allows you to still ride once you reach an area that’s not “central” Brickell. Unlike other scooters, once you reach another area of Brickell, it will automatically stop. Lime requires a picture of where the scooter has been parked but you can opt out. Other scooters like Bird won’t allow you to stop your ride if you’ve parked out of place or outside the riding area. In my opinion, Lime is the best option if you want to have fun and enjoy the ride. It might be six or seven cents more expensive than it’s competition, but I believe it’s an honest price for the flexibility and fun one has 🤗.

Poor customer service, “group ride” unreliable. I used the app to do a “group ride” with 1 other person in which I used the app on my phone for both of us. When our ride was done, I ended the ride and the app had no indication that both rides were not ended, so there was an incredibly large charge on my credit card. I contacted customer support for this issue and they were incredibly unhelpful. Essentially they are telling me that the second rider took a ride 5x as long as mine which would mean that someone took the scooter and used my credit card information because this app did not end both rides as it indicated it had. It was also hard to keep up with via email because the connectivity was awful and it created 2 new user profiles using my Apple ID and email even though both are the same?? Will use a different app from now on

BE CAREFUL. Ok so the bikes and scooters are fun. But I purchased lime prime and No where did it specify, not even the terms and agreements that the E-bike and scooters where not covered by lime prime. So I got a scooter and I was still charged on my card. NOT ONCE BUT TWICE. So I called them and the lady was trying to refund me an incorrect amount but i said no. She refunded what I wanted but NOT back to my CARD but towards the credit!!!! I had to calll again🙄 ughhh. atleast she fixed it and that was all. Few days later I ride an E-bike and was still charged. I called and this lady tells me that those are not covered by lime prime. I was upset because the first time I called she didn’t tell me that. So I asked for a refund for my Limeprime $30 and she agrees and Tells me to wait 24-48 hours because someone else has to give me my money back...??¿ so lets hope I get my money back 🙃 Just be careful guys . Misleading customer-Incorrect charges-Terrible customer service. Lime mislead and doesn’t value its customers! I stop using Lime. I received a misleading email “Update to Lime Access pricing" on January 17, 2020. The email clearly stated that I'm qualified for receiving 5 free rides under 30 minutes each day through Lime Access program. I later figured out that I had been charged every time I use Lime scooter, though the total rides and their durations meet the mentioned conditions. Moreover, there are several rides I was even charged twice for only one ride. When I request a refund for these incorrect charges, they just kept saying they will look into this and NEVER gave me a solution though I had to follow up with them at least 4 times. This disappoints me very much as I always choose Lime over other e-scooter services. I lost my money and received terrible customer service. Lime doesn’t value its customers. Stop using Lime.

Misleading. My family and I each purchased a Daily Pass to use the scooters over the weekend. Considering the title of the purchase was Daily Pass we did not expect any additional charges after the purchase. At the end of the day once we had finished riding we each had very expensive additional charges for riding over 30 minutes during a single ride. Apparently the daily pass limits the duration of your rides in the fine print. We had over $100 in additional charges. I reached out to their customer service to see if we could get a one time credit for the misunderstanding and was told to read the fine print next time. We will definitely not utilize their services in the future. It felt like we were intentionally tricked with the wording of the “Daily Pass” not truly being unlimited. If their customer service was improved we would consider using them again over the other scooter services.

$7 charge, inoperable, no customer support. I was running late, thought I’d give it a try, it immediately accepted my payment and started charging me, AND THEN displays my ENTIRE CITY as red. I literally live in the middle of this city. The scooter repeatedly says “in a red zone, leave it so you can ride” or whatever. I wasted 30 minutes accessing every customer support feature that lime has which are basically glorified reviews like this. I left like 6 reports that literally say “unable to end ride” and “serious issue with my ride” and in response, the app automatically says, “leave red zone.” Does it say that too if you report an injury? Or a serious accident? Is there any time when the app will say, “we’ve stopped your ride, here’s a refund”? I still haven’t gotten a refund and this incident seriously derailed an extremely important appointment. And lime offered literally no help, just a couple of idiotic questionnaires incapable of handling the issues they pretend to address.

Tires and Alignments. With all consideration, understanding and technical know how, I submit this text as customer, that if I were in any sector of your maintenance departments, neither would I be allowed nor would I freely or circumstantially allow my equipment to have flat tires or alignment issues. I’ve only been a user of lime bike for about 6 weeks and never-mind me but it is a public safety issue, however, with disgression, I’ve driven two scooters with flats and one with an alignment issue. I have done my part to aid in the assistance of noting the defects or repairs needed in the app, yet I’m sure that won’t help find the perpetrators of those who damage the vehicles, should there be any who just simply disrespect the courtesy of having the service. I hope the occurrence of defective units is just an oversight or a measure that your field engineers are able to mitigate with technicians, out, manually inspecting the vehicles on a regular basis. If I’m wise enough I’m sure that simply replacing the defective units is probably your approach to this issue and manufacturers warranty taking care of the of the units or that both measures are in place to keep costs low and ensure the safety of your customers. Thank you for your service and considerations. Carlos J. Hayes

Fun but too expensive to ride compared to other options. A cost of a single ride metro or bus ticket in Madrid is €1,5 unless changing zones. The cost of a Cercanias ticket is €1,70 between Atocha and Chamartín. Twice, I took a scooter the equivalent of two metro stops. The distance was not exact as I had to walk further as scooter was not as close as metro stop initially. The cost was €1,95 and €2,1. I like the scooter even if at times scary on Madrid sidewalks. It was fun to use and I liked the speed when I hit open stretches of sidewalk. I just don’t think I will probably use again after those two initial rides as there is no carbon savings contrary to what the app says. I would have walked or taken the metro otherwise. It is just not competitively priced compared to other transport options. If I am going to pay more than €2 for 2km and I don’t want to walk or use public transport, a taxi wouldn’t cost that much more. If they drop the price by half, then it becomes price competitive and useful.

NO BREAKS I ALMOST KILLED MYSELF. This is the second time during a week that I used a newer looking scooter and it had no breaks! The first one I got a refund, apologies, yes-ings... Then I get an email asking me to grade their customer service with only 2 choices, good or bad. I sent them back a very concerned and nice email, I got some very nice yes-ings again. Btw, they asked me to test the scooter before but you can’t because it does not move freely. On top of that, there is no link for refund, you have to figure out what link to use! They used to give you a refund when you selected 1 star, no more... This happened going down a hill into a very busy blvd, Hollywood Blvd. Right now I’m looking for the city’s enforcement number.

Horrible app does not work. Couldn’t get past the license photo screen! Kept saying my license wasn’t working but obviously it is valid. When i called customer service (outsourced to some place like India with people who have no knowledge on the subject) they basically said it would take 24 hours to get someone out to help me. But while that was all happening, my partner had already gotten her scooter and was paying for us to stand around for 15 minutes trying to get it to work. we cut our losses and had to alternate riding one scooter, which forced us to run the timer longer. Then, at the end of our ride it informed us that out of the $3 we had redeemed to use for that ride, we could only use $1. And our scooter had a gold wire wrapped around it. All in all, we definitely will be getting our money back from this company. Ridiculous and hard to navigate app, especially when you’re downtown on the street and trying to trouble shoot. Don’t support this company.

Not sure what happened. But their system stopped accepting my credit card. Their customer service can’t figure it out and they won’t get back to me on a timely manner to resolve the issue. I’m surprised frankly but am really angry they won’t solve it. I started using Bird in the meantime and the entire service is superior, especially customer service - they can’t think outside the scripts in front of them. I am amazed they can stay in business , especially when they won’t return a call of someone trying to use their service on a near daily basis. I have waited 3 days. They have lost my business, even after offering a 30 dollar credit when my card got restored. I called and asked for customer retention, got out on hold and was then told they don’t have one. I the. asked them to delete my account, she did and asked if there was anything else, not “what can we do so you don’t delete your account?’ Think about that.

Poor App for Juicers. If you’re a Juicer the app has bugs so beware!!! It can cost you money! When in the Juicer menu if you select an area of town there will be scooters that appear that need to be charged. Once you zoom in to navigate where exactly they are, they disappear. Another option that happens is you’ll arrive at the scooter and it’ll show that it needs to be charged but the moment you go to harvest it, the scooter disappears from the app but is sitting right in front of you and will say something along the lines of “unable to harvest.” You can step back a foot and it’ll show in the app in needs to be charged but disappears in the app again. I’ve wasted plenty of time and gas driving around town to pick up Limes that need to be charged to only have a problem with the app that doesn’t allow you to harvest the scooter and the scooter just disappears within the app. This is a major fault in the app because it will cost you money and gas and time, and it also costs you money from scooter that you can be charging. On top of this it doesn’t allow riders to get freshly charged scooters more frequently. It looks bad on the company! I’m sure theres a simple fix the engineers or programmers can make but it seems like support within the app doesn’t have any answers. So here’s the 1 star review until this gets fixed, the 5 star review will come back when the app is firing on all cylinders.

GPS System. I think this app is overall good. I think the 1 and 2 stars reviews are over exaggerating. However, a really huge improvement on this app would be adding a gps system. If you have somewhere you want to go but you don’t know how to get there you would most likely use Maps or Google Maps to get there. The problem is, Google Maps may say to take a certain route and when you arrive, you find out you can’t pass there because its a no go zone on the Lime app. (Which happened to me) Lime should give you a personal gps route avoiding the no go zones and the slow zones if possible. In addition it would be great if they could add a phone stand on the scooters making using a gps system far more easier.

Experience so far terrible. My experience has been terrible so far. I live in the dmv and I’ve been trying to ride a scooter for a couple days. The app kinda shows you what area it’s in but not pin point it. The scooters that I have found gps has been ripped off, unwired or just plain don’t work or when I look at the app and check the mileage or battery there are low. It really need to be a docking station for these except for feeling like I’m playing Pokémon Go just to ride a scooter. It’s like I want to give you my money and have the experience riding around the city in something that I don’t have but then it’s like by my own or screw just drive in my car like normal. Love the idea and the product but why go threw so much.

Night Rider. Riding downtown with my girlfriend after 2am in Tulsa, Oklahoma! Tonight was a lit night at the Big Freedia Pride Event. We were amazed at the beautiful lights on the ONEOK building supporting the LGBQT COMMUNITY. As we rode through the quiet streets of downtown Tulsa, we felt like the city was still just for us tonight. Have you ever had a great feeling of total freedom? That is how I felt during the ride. We reached speeds up to 16mph and it felt like 45 mph lol. The ride was a little expensive but definitely worth every penny. We rode for about 23 minutes enjoying the breeze and the presence of one another. This was a great way to end the night. Thank you for providing this experience! The little things in life can mean so much.

Needs better no go zone indicators. My friend and I were excited to use the scooter and set up and payment were easy, however after about 10 minutes we ended up with a red symbol saying we couldn’t ride in our current area. The app map, however, didn’t show we were in a red no go zone, We tried walking the scooter around for about 20 minutes to different streets to see if it would unlock again but it never did. When we gave up on trying to use the scooter and park it, we had to spend another 20 minutes trying to find where in the world it would let us park it because the map on the app didn’t correctly show which areas were ok. One good thing- I sent in a complaint to the app and they refunded everything.

Bate & Switch scam against the poor. I joined Lime thru the Access program for low income people. I was very pleased to get the promised free and discounted rates. I’m physically limited and using the scooters (and once in awhile bikes) gave me mobility I would never have had, and greatly expanded my transportation options - including a wider shopping range to reach cheaper and higher quality groceries (i.e. Safeway and QFC versus just 7/11. Abruptly and with no significant announcement, Lime began charging me for rides that had been free. It would seem they were attempting to slide the change of services in on the sly, hoping that many people would be like me and not notice the change. Maybe some people will take comfort that Lime reserved it’s ‘bate and switch’ scam for just the poor and vulnerable population. I hope you will be as appalled as I am.

Same cost as Lyft only much slower, colder and more frustrating. I liked the idea at first but this is a train wreck (or maybe a scooter wreck) First off, why the hell does a 2 mile e bike ride cost the same amount as Lyft when it took 4x longer?! That means it’s really 4 times more expensive per minute to ride a dorky bike in the cold than to have someone else pick you up and drop you off while you relax or get things done. Parking the bike was confusing too. First the app said there was no Lime service and I couldn’t park there but didn’t tell me where I COULD park. Then that message went away for unknown reasons so I parked it on the sidewalk. Oh and get this... I tried to submit this message in the app to help them improve but ironically they designed the app so the iPhone keyboard is blocking the submit button and there’s no way to hide it. No wonder they do a mandatory $10 min charge, because I’m sure other people will get sick of them after the first ride too. Well enjoy my $10, it’s the last you’ll ever get from me.

WORST SCOOTER SERVICE!! Use any other. I’m telling you, just use jump or any other scooter or bike!! Every street is a restricted zone and our scooters were left in a no parking zone by a worker; so when we started our group ride it charged us 10$ per person and an additional 10$ for starting a group then finished our ride automatically and when we went on separate accounts it charged us about 8$ each to keep starting it again. We walked them a block to get it out of the restricted parking but it didn’t end there... we had to look at the app constantly to avoid the restricted locations because they can stop the scooters from across the street and every other block is restricted. When you drive near a restricted area the scooter will slow down to under 4mph or just beep and cancel ride making you pay extra to start another ride. For 5 people in total to ride for 1.5 hours was about $200!!!! Ever since we switched to jump their has been no problems.

Will not allow me to add to my balance. I had been a frequent Limebike rider when they moved to the new wallet format where you prepay for points. However, the app continues to have a processing error and will not accept my card information (which of course works for the 20 other services it’s signed up for on my phone). No amount of app updates or resubmissions of card info has fixed it, and despite issuing multiple tickets to Limebike support, the customer service reps have done nothing to resolve the issue. The last message they sent was “have you made sure the card isn’t expired”, and I replied that yes I had. I have heard nothing since then. It’s now been over a month since I was able to last use Limebike. This is a pathetic exercise in customer service and I will make sure to let friends and colleagues know how unreliable this company is at every opportunity I get. It will probably get annoying how often I shoehorn it into conversations.

Amazing Bikes. Me and my mom wanted to ride around the lake and we thought we would rent LimeBikes since the first ride is free. The app is really easy to use and so are the bikes. It didn’t take us long to figure out how to unlock the bikes. The bikes are really smooth riding, although they were rattling a lot and it was quite uncomfortable when we went over bumpy areas. They even have a bell and gear changes. The only thing I don’t like about the app is the inaccurate mileage. We rode 8 miles around the lake and my app said we rode 0.5. Besides that, the bikes are a really cool concept and I love how you can find them all over town and you can leave them anywhere when you’re done riding.

This is too good to be true. I have been in Berkeley CA and seen the ford bikes and really wanted to ride one. I know that you have to have clipper card or something like that which I don't have. Also I have issues riding on the street. Luckily, recently in my town, lime bike appeared and I was shocked when I first saw it. The first thing I noticed was the no dock system and the brain of it was the app. I thought maybe the dock was still being built but I read more on it. It had no docks. I hooked up my card to it and now getting from school to home and from home to school is easier than ever thanks to LimeBike. I also like the feature where it tracks your calories burned so there's no need for an Apple Watch or any of that. I love going on rides and this makes it so much easier.
