Power ups are lame. TL/DR: either add a no power ups area or show us what power ups the other side used. Preferably you do both. If you’ve read any reviews, you’ll notice a common theme: it’s annoying to have to pay for power ups to compete with people who clearly use the “mega-freeze” and “mega-inspiration” on about every turn. The app developers want to make money, and I won’t begrudge them for that, but at least tell us what the other person used so that we can see if we were outcompeted or they just used a ton of extra power ups. OR just add an area where you can’t use power ups so that you know you’re on the same footing. I can almost see the wheels spinning in the owners’ minds: “But, if we make a no power ups area, then people would gravitate there and we would lose revenue.” Well, you might be right short term, but true Boggle fans are going to jet if they haven’t already since it’s frustrating to lose to someone and not know whether it was their skill or power ups doing the work.

Greedy (no free offline play). Every game requires a token. You start out with 50 tokens. Your tokens regenerate slowly over time. You can also purchase tokens. They also show you advertisements in between games. With those facts laid out... I’m disappointed there is no free way to play consistently. Boggle is an incredible game and this company exploits it to make a couple of dollars. If I want to play offline against just myself, I should be able to do that for free. It doesn’t require a server since you should be able to generate a board and extract the possible words locally. Therefore, it shouldn’t require virtual currency to play. Also, it’s disappointing this company decided to make money off of users through ads and in app purchases. Ads can be a revenue stream when you have a free offering. These guys make you watch ads in addition to charging you virtual currency to play their game. Please don’t give your money to greedy companies like this unless you want this pattern to become the norm.

Boggle. I used to enjoy playing some of the players who were similar in ability over and over again. That seems to be impossible because the game keeps throwing you new players who quickly fill up your allotment of contenders, therefore, you’re continually playing new players. Don’t forget we are humans and sometimes we form weird little “relationships” based on words. This only happens when you look forward to playing certain challengers because you know their game playing strategy. Oftentimes the game won’t let you challenge because there are too many open games. So boohoo. Can you go back to the way it was? Kathy M. I must also comment on the greed or whatever drives you to limit the number of tokens so drastically. The tokens are also hard to buy. I wouldn’t mind buying a few tokens but my iPad is nor recognizing my fingerprint and there is no option for a password login.

Losing bonus. I get all of those cards collected down to the very last one snd I think ‘cool! Tomorrow I’ll collect a decent amount of coins so I can play a couple power ups vs. some of my better opponents.’ Then for some reason I don’t log in the next day for whatever reason (very rarely do I not play at least a few games everyday) and when I DO log in it tells me I missed out on the big end of filling out the whole card bonus because I’d not logged in or I’d abandoned the game or whatever! That’s ridiculous!! Maybe it was after midnight when I logged In so the game thought I’d missed a day!! I can under stand if a full 12 or 24 hours had passed, but maybe less than a full 24 hours? That’s crazy!! Make it like 36 hours! That would at least cover some one like myself that might log in late one night (after midnight) or sometimes not log in til the next morning!

Small format. I have been playing this game for a few years now. I really enjoy it. There are a few things that are not working well right now. 1. About 90% of the time, my score is the only one on the leaderboard. Occasionally, the others players show up, but not often. In other words, I’m mostly playing against myself. Why is that? 2. After a game is finished, I have to wait about 30 seconds before I can restart a game with that player. Otherwise it says “done” and I have to go to the finished games to restart that game. Irritating. 3. I have always had a problem with not being able to play on a “level” playing field. I only use my free power ups, except when I know someone continuously uses more. It is a losing battle to out “power up” another player. Have you considered another option? I would like to know that my skill was what won or lost a game; not by how many power ups someone is willing to use just to win. 4. I rarely play in the tournaments, so those pink tickets are like a punishment to me. I probably have thousands saved that will just keep accumulating. You have fixed many of the previous glitches. Love to play, but noise and ads annoying. Great game, play almost everyday with friends or daily matches. Only problem is the annoying sound and ads!!! To avoid the sounds you have to turn off the sound on the side of your iphone (but then i forget to turn on and miss calls/texts). In the settings you can turn volume to zero on for sound effects and music volume, but when the game ends the sound for ads still play and it’s quite alarming. To avoid that you have to wait for the ad to start, then tap the sound icon on bottom left - and do that after every game. Also, they make it hard to move past the ads. There is often two screens to x out of to stop the ads, and the “x” icon to shut it is very small and doesn’t always work. I often have to exit out of the app to get out of the ad. Wish they did something to fux as i see te last review from a year agai also comolained about the sound

Change The Decline FAQ. I finally deleted this game. I haven’t played as long as most players and am only okay. I hate that the daily challenge players can be 10xs as good as you. It indicates that you don’t suffer a loss for declining a match but that is just a lie. It constantly shows as “other player won”. When I reopen it, it is a game in which I have 0 points and declined. Often it says I quit when I did not. I may have quit A Game, once but 2 or 3 of 10 games will have one of the 2 glitches. Last the back button and touch sensitivity is terrible. After writing tech about the first two glitches many times and their replies being that you can’t decline after the other person played. What? If someone invites me to play then of course they played. I don’t know their score and decline because their average is a Zillion Times better. That was the last straw for me. Too bad I loved the game and since I have been very sick it has kept me occupied but not worth the bother if I can’t depend on support to comply to your rules.

Bogle Review. I play every day multiple times and enjoy pushing myself to think and move quickly. I like that I can review the words I could have played at the end of each game. Bogle is fun. The only improvement is to curb advertisers who bypass sound. I keep sounds off because I often play at odd times when I can’t sleep. These “rude” advertisers blare sound and wakes my husband. What if you try to play bedside at a hospital waking a sleeping family member or roommate in a hospital or nursing home. I fully understand you need advertisers to support the games which I enjoy but these few who design and program to override the off sound for players actually makes me angry. Some people have a legitimate reason for turning off the sound. I love the cute Pampers advertisement. I can enjoy it and smile every time I see it without the sound. Otherwise I love playing Boggle, it keeps me sharp, it keeps me social. Five Stars.

Pay to win piece of crap. I love the core game of Boggle, but I cannot stand the implementation of pay to win. You can never tell what power ups your online opponent is using, so you’re strongly encouraged to use your own. Oh, they give you one for free, but the rest require tokens which, to be fair, you *can* earn without spending a dime, but by now, I’m sure you know how this works. If you play a lot, you’ll run out of those tokens fast, so if you want to keep playing - and you want to keep up with your competition with power ups- you’ll need to throw some cash in to buy more tokens. It’s terrible. How can one hope to beat an otherwise evenly matched player who has a full extra minute of time in their game? I wish there was a league or something where you could play without any power ups. Yeah, your scores won’t top the power-upped leaderboards, but at least you’d know that you were playing on an even field. I don’t know- maybe there should be a way to see what power ups your opponent was using. By doing this, the developer could allow the player to know they’re playing a fair match, and still be just as greedy by strongly encouraging us to use/buy those stupid power ups.

Good Games but it Needs to Fix Some Problems. I like Boggle. The games are fun and I think it’s pretty good brain exercise. However, the game has some flaws that need a fix. I don’t understand their timing for some major play. Sometimes the game is available at 3:00 am and sometimes it is available mid morning and sometimes it takes until afternoon. But some of the parts that are needed to fulfill the game card becomes available long beforehand. That forces the player to play in the middle of the night to finish the card to score the points needed. Then there’s the games that require players from a player list. The majority of those people don’t finish their games and they just sit forever in a list that prevents you from fulfilling the requirements for the game. It’s ridiculous to have to wait for players who won’t finish their game. Clean up the list or give the player a way to finish the games without players who don’t or won’t play. Sometimes the game sticks and the player can’t finish the game. Sometimes the points aren’t awarded. When the game freezes up you lose your “payment (tickets or coins) and it usually freezes before the beginning of the final game in the series. That’s frustrating! If you can deal with the problems and the frustrations, then by all means play the games. The games are fun and challenging. I just wish the creators would fix the problems.

Wasting Great Potential. Ok, been playing this game for 10 years, through various name changes and additions. The main game is quite solid and fun, and that’s what keeps me playing daily. The other parts, I just don’t understand Zynga. Even if they only have 1 guy working on this game (and I develop software myself so know it’s time consuming), there are so many critical issues that have gone on for years, and lost so many players, it’s quite sad and perplexing. To me, the biggest lost potential are the tournaments. Great idea, so poorly executed and has been since day 1. To allow players to freeze a round, or exit the tournament, and not immediately end their round, is perplexing. So many tines, like every match, someone sits at 0 for minutes, and you wait and wait and wait. Whatever the reason, even if they lost connection, kill their spot so the tournament goes on immediately, instead of pausing for minutes or what often happens, it hangs up. There are other problem spots, like daily challenge, recent change in chatting as a stream rather than game based (which would be fine if you tracked to the other person which game you were commenting about/from), yet I’ll pick my 1 main fix needed as tournaments. I’ve actually sent emails to Zynga over the years about this, and no reply. Nor a fix. Yet it’s still a great game in general. I just try to avoid tournaments and challenges.

Could Be Great: Ads & Pay-To-Win. This is a great game in so many ways. Great UI and design, lots of fun - it is a unique take on Boggle. But there are some problems that impede enjoyment. First is ads. This is an easy fix, and I’d happily pay for ads-free play. I imagine many others would as well. Second, and most important imho, is the pay-to-win style of power-ups. The mega freeze power-ups make it impossible to win against anyone who is using them. That is not an exaggeration - you will never win against someone using that ability unless you are as well, because they simply have so much more time. It seems to show up most in ticket-based games because tickets do not auto-regenerate, meaning there is more at stake. It makes those games far less enjoyable because there is simply no way to win when the other player has so much more time available. Words With Friends strikes a great balance between power-ups and fair play. Boggle With Friends has not found that balance yet. I hope they do. I would recommend removing the mega-freeze option and replacing it with something more balanced. The mega-inspire one seems more fair to me; it helps but it doesn’t guarantee a win. It’s still a fun game, but I simply can’t afford to buy power ups as often as I would need to in order to compete. These adjustments would make this an amazing game worthy of the home screen.

Used to be better.... ...then all this silly crap got added to give players more variations. I understand that. I don’t like it. Since the introduction of the add-ins, loading time is infernally long. One of the most annoying aspects of those additions is the daily prize. The grid shows the daily prize, which gets clicked. That pops-up a “mystery box” (which is no mystery since we’ve already seen it) which has to be tapped to open; & finally a collect button appears. It’s just three taps, two of which are completely redundant and therefore unnecessary. It’d be nice to have a “Boggle Lite” so players like me who don’t care for the extras can just play the game we enjoy. (New: I did finally note the small settings button which allows players to opt out of so-called smart matches (they are not: 1 in 10 reflects my skill level) and other potential matches. It was nice to find, but changing that option did not improve the game-load time significantly. Since that’s not going to happen, I’ll continue to play, but the rating stands.

Great fun. Love the new scramble now boggle...just would like to see more of a selection of daily prizes....seems to be a lot more ticket than power ups, like mega freezes, or extra tokens, or other power ups. Also, I would like to go back to themed daily challenges....themed boards would be fun and different. One other suggestion, would love to be able to delete past chat messages. Overall, love this game p, I'd give it 4 1/2 ⭐️'s I’ve been playing the paid game since 2012 gone thru all the name changes. I like the sound effects, it’s like having a cheering squad behind you. I understand that when playing opponents you should be able to see each other power ups., tickets are not much of reward as tokens are. I’ve asked several times before how you get bejeweled frames. I have not received an answer, I’d like to know how I can get my Initial Frame jeweled. I enjoy the game I would like to have the Themed games back, also the holiday themed games too.

I like not seeing who is using what. I am seeing many reviews where players are wanting to know what power ups their opponents are using. I like not knowing. If I get beat, I don’t care how I got beat, it makes me feel more competitive. I like seeing what worlds were found that I missed. I don’t care how my opponent found them, I just like learning the new words, then using them later. It’s actually made me a better player. Until I learned all of the possibilities with words, I sucked at this game. I was trying to find as many small words as possible. Now, I start each game scanning the layout and specifically looking for letters that make words longer and therefore worth more points. In short, I like it. I’m not going to pay for power ups, but if someone who I’m playing against is, I suppose they rightfully won the game; they actually spent their money to do so. I’m okay with that.

Could be better but still enjoy. I hate the annoying sounds. HATE them and I can’t play with them off as I need to hear whether I’ve already done that word or messed up on my word. It’s just a thing and I need the sound. They could do away with all the annoying “good”, excellent”, “AMAZING”, though. Also the wasted time at the end of a match having to wait for the scores to scroll up and more annoying sounds. My biggest issue, though, is after all of this time I still can’t figure out how to actually earn coins? I may have 50 today and then 18 tomorrow. I realize I use one to play but do I earn them when I win? I’ve googled for this info and read through the FAQ’s and have not been able to find this info. I don’t have coins appear after a win so I’m just lost! As others have mentioned, it’s also frustrating not knowing if an opponent has used power ups. I personally do not use them. I just want to play the game. I do enjoy this game and it’s way better that scramble with friends that hair always had the same words puzzle after puzzle. I do know I’ve played the same puzzles before in this game but that’s not happened enough to make me want to ditch it.

It kills time, unless you want to play more than 30 mins or so at once. Unlike meatworld Boggle, after a year of play, I've concluded that there's just not that much of a variety of words you ever get the opportunity to play in this app. It punishes you for playing "too much" and forces you to buy tickets or coins to keep on playing--or wait it out. I get that they make money off in-app purchases, but you also have to sit through a constant bombardment of ads and there's no option to pay to avoid the ads--some of which force you to click through to the app's download page to get back to playing Boggle. It also watches your web searches and serves up ads by mining your history, often forcing you to click to a web page you've already seen/gotten the info you need. Worst of all, there seems to be no shortage of creepy guys who try and use it as a nerdy dating method, "you're good with making words with your fingers, what else do those fingers do?" I hate it when random strangers get to chat with random strangers they're playing against because this seems to always be where it goes, but at least you can block players. If I didn't have friends who seem to enjoy this app so much, I would love to never see the app version again. And I adore Boggle in the meatworld, so...

Needs improvement. I like the game and challenges. My favorite part are the power ups of inspiration, freeze and more. What the game needs is a better layout on the home game page. Very confusing and hard to see what’s going on. Also to see how many tickets I have I can’t see that in my profile or on the game page or anywhere unless I start a match. I also can’t chat with anyone after a game. To chat or continue hating you have to start a new match. So no saying gg after a match. Dumb. You can play against friends, but you can’t have a tournament with them. So if you have a group of friends together you can’t all play at once in a tournament. Maybe you could just play each other and keep score that way. Not a nice. So I feel there is a lot of room for improvements. I guess my biggest complaint would be there is no way to remove ads. I would pay to remove all the ads but can’t. Money only goes towards tokens or tickets etc. I hate that with a passion. Other than that it’s fun.

Decent game. I have been playing for several years and find that the game has much to keep it I interesting including the tournaments and daily challenge and new bonuses. However it is riddled with bugs which is very frustrating. The daily challenges do not keep track of rankings despite continued promises. The bonuses are not working and the tournaments sometimes fault out for no good reason. Fix the bugs and it would be an awesome game. Don’t fix them and I will likely give up on the game. The new tournament format is terrible. Too few options and actually fewer rewards despite promises of increased rewards. Also daily challenge still does not track rankings. There has been improvement on faulting out on tournaments but still occurs. Update: Continue to be very disappointed with the tournament play options. Also again the daily challenge does not keep track of rankings the way the older version still does. Getting less and less to keep the interest. The bonus board is pretty much a waste with providing more coins than are really needed rather than give tickets and power plays which are much more useful. Seems developers are more interested in making money than keeping the game interesting.

Good, but needs improvement. Many times, while playing my daily match game, the post-game ad will freeze. I must leave the app to get the ad to play, but when I do so, I lose the tokens I was supposed to earn for that game (I think this has been fixed now). I agree with those who commented that it would be more fair to see what power-ups your opponent used during a round. It seems like the same letter combinations show up game after game. Also, I don’t know if this game is English only, or if it’s available in other languages, but I noticed a lot of non-English words are accepted as valid. I’ve looked up the definitions of unfamiliar words to find out they’re Greek, Hebrew, Scottish, or Old-English, not in common usage anymore. Then, when I play real Boggle with my friends in person, I have to remember these aren’t real English words and I can’t use them outside of this app.

I’ve always loved this game, but I hate now being tricked into starting new games. I’ve played this game since 2012 when it was Scramble. It’s actually the only game I play, and I’m proudly and fully addicted. And I have the paid version. Lately though, it’s become really annoying clicking through daily “prizes” and “rewards” and - most annoyingly - being tricked into starting new games. The designers have carefully timed a feature that shifts the “daily challenge” to play a new player right under your finger as you’re trying to play your latest game. For this reason, I’ve now got more games pending than I care to play, and I hate resigning games because I’m a boggle dork who doesn’t want it to negatively impact my record! Fix it Boggle! If you’re listening!!!

In-game text too tiny…It’s nice to have boggle online, but app tries hard to fit trends. I just updated this after a long time of not doing so. Immediately I’m spammed with notifications, telling me about power ups! special daily event rewards! coins! level up! XP! and like, it’s just getting annoying. My mom and I just liked the original game of boggle, yknow, with the dice, pen and paper, we play this game because we live in different states now, and just want to still have fun playing some boggle. This app doesn’t really cater to people who like vanilla game. It feels very much like it’s trying to mimic other popular games that do have these ranking systems and special rewards. But I really don’t want any of that, and I’d be surprised if I’m alone. The other very big thing is that after updating, all the text an UI became small, like very small. I feel like an old man trying to read the newspaper when I play this game now.

LOVE IT just a few bugs. I’m in love with this game and despite what the other reviews say I love the sounds! The “good” “excellent” “amazing” “INCREDIBLEEEEE” are so encouraging to me ! but the main problem o have is that for the weekly leaderboard challenges the scores sometimes don’t reset for certain people each day and they carry the score they got from the day before all week and it keeps adding up. Especially during a 20 point per word challenge someone keeps getting scores of 4000 but then the next day the challenge will be every word must stay in the highlighted tiles which honestly no one is getting more than 1300 in those be honest LOL. But then those few people will somehow have their exact same score from yesterday (4000) and it keeps happening for the rest of the week and at the end of the week they have a total score of 28,000 when the rest of us have like 15,000. It’s not a huge deal but I want the satisfaction of knowing I have a chance at winning. I’m certain this is a bug and not these people getting the same score everyday because sometimes someone will keep a score of 2785 each day or 5123 or something random and there’s no way they keep getting the same random number every single day. It’s also usually the same people that have this bug I think it has something to do with doing the challenge right as it’s about to change to the next days challenge

Fun but glitchy. I love Boggle! It’s such a fun game! I’m bugged with the glitches though. It takes quite a while to load as opposed to other games that are much more complex. Nearly every time I play the daily challenge it sends me right back to the challenge after I’ve finished it and gone back to the main menu! What a pain. A few times my stats were all screwed up and wrong and at least twice it somehow gave my words and score to my opponent and gave me a zero! Often times I try to start a game but a glitch won’t allow it to start. Many times recently the game just closes for no apparent reason and I have to open it back up and wait for it to load again! Ugh! Now there’s the weekly challenge that I don’t care a lick about. I’m sure this adds to the long load time. With so many glitches I don’t think you should add more stuff. The apps capabilities already seem strained. The chat also takes quite some time to load. When the game works right it’s a lot of fun.

Make it tolerable. The negatives that are detailed in thousands of reviews are largely true. That aside, some things can be done to minimize the distractions and irritations. Obviously, playing with your device muted is a must. Regarding the long wait times while ads run, I’ve come to just close the game immediately after playing a round, then open it right up again and the ads are gone. The only exceptions are “Daily Matches.” If you want your 3 coins, you’ll have to endure the interruptions. Lastly, I play with the one free power up and I only want to play against others who do the same. So, if it’s clear that someone plays a different game, block them. It’s a quick fix, and you don’t have to take a loss. (Not that I mind losing, so long as it’s due to a difference in ability). The exception to “not taking the loss” is when your opponent is playing nicely, then zaps you with 145 words in the last round. Not much you can do about that except be glad you’re not so much of a superficial person that you would do the same thing to make your record in a game look more impressive. Well, of course don’t let it happen twice - employ the block.

Fun game to play only with your actual friends. I give this only 3 stars because it is fun but you never know if the person you are playing in a random match is using a million power ups. I play my husband and we use only the freebie. I know there are “professional” players (whatever the H*** that means) who claim that their fingers move faster than the speed of light and don’t use power ups but if you get one of them in a random match you will forever have your daily challenge compared to them as though they are your friend - random matches are NOT friends and I’m sick of being compared to them. So one star off for that idiocy and one star off for not telling the players how many power ups their competitor is using. So 3 stars. With the new “quests” that have a pop up on the top of your games while the totals are adding up, I almost took off another star. That is so completely stupid and I’m sick of getting reminders to claim my quest points.

Please fix freezing problem/extremely slow game. Until about a month ago this was one of my favorite games, fast, challenging, and really fun and I consider myself to be a great player. Then, all of a sudden, for no reason that I can determine, the letters started to freeze and made the game so slow that it is now impossible to play it anymore. Every once in a while I go back in to see if the problem has been fixed, but unfortunately it has not yet. I would have deleted the app and started afresh but I’m afraid 😦 I would lose all the points that I have accumulated so far, and I don’t want to do that. Every time there’s an “update” I go back in to see if this problem has been fixed but until today it has not. Other timed games I play, like “solitaire” for example, don’t have this “freezing” problem, only “Boggle”, so it is the app itself which needs fixing. It would be really great if you could fix this as soon as possible so I can continue to play this game that I love, and then I would definitely give it ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you for your help in fixing this defect.

Used to be Good. Played this game daily for years when it was Word Streak and something before that. Loved it and probably played it more than any phone app game. I always wondered how Zynga got away with calling it something other than the Boggle I grew up playing in the real world in the cube box with the clear lid where you shook it by hand and used a little old sand filled hourglass timer. Thought everything would be fine when it changed to Boggle. I was forced to update from Word Streak after avoiding it as long as possible because the game play is just all around inferior. I can’t make nearly as many words. I kept thinking maybe I’d get used to it, but I’m bout to just quit playing. I would give the older Word Streak game 4 1/2 stars. I gave this current version of Boggle 3 stars, but that’s just because I didn’t want to totally trash a game I have loved for years. Like I said, I think I’m just going to quit playing this new version bc it’s so inferior.

Mostly good. I enjoy playing this casually. Game provides free coins to buy boosters like “freeze” to stop the clock and other things that help you find words. Coins and other gifties mainly come from a sort of Advent calendar - every day you sign in, you earn awards. A grand prize is awarded for a certain number of days in a row collecting prizes. For some odd reason, when I get to that day, the game tells me I didn’t sign in on time, which is odd since I tend to play the same time every day. Tournaments are available for the super-competitive. Lately randos have been challenging me to matches, people who have significantly higher average scores than I do. Thankfully there’s a way to decline such challenges, because I don’t enjoy being defeated by these players who clearly load up on the aforementioned boosters. Wish there was a setting to only allow challenges by people in the same scoring range.

Totally awesome game!!!. After reading many of the other player’s reviews, I had to write one of my own. I must be playing a different version than these other players because I have NEVER run into any of the problems or glitches that they complain about. I always receive plenty of power-ups for free-I just choose not to use them unless I’m playing against someone with incredibly high scores (and I suspect they got those high scores by using power-ups themselves!) This game is so much fun and never frustrates me in any way. And I’m extremely picky about the games I play. Try Yahtzee with Buddies (Scopely) if you want to play a horrible game with terrible customer service (and on the flip side of things try Scatter Hold ‘Em if you like playing poker-I can’t even begin to describe what an amazing game it is with A plus customer service) Keep up the great work Zynga, you created a real winner with this App!!!😁👍😁

Recent downgrades. When I first started playing this game over a year ago I would have given it 4 stars: perfect except for a bug that prevented daily rewards from being enabled some days and then cleared the bonus for not picking up the daily reward, the daily challenge sending me right back into the daily challenge upon finishing, and rarely the game eating my bonuses by crashing upon starting a round but not refunding the used bonuses. While the game has proven more stable in the last 2 or 3 revisions, developers also added a feature which drops my rating to 3 stars. The game now has extremely distracting sound effects and pop-up visuals in the corner of the screen. Visual data design dictates that motion draws the eye, and the eye should not be drawn away from the board in a game that is time-limited and requires focus. Nor should the sound disrupt one's concentration. The developers should instead add a subtle color change to the whole board to notify players that the game is ending soon, thereby accommodating players who have different hearing abilities without distracting players. The great aspects of this game are that between daily challenges, challenging other players, and tournaments, I can play as much or as little as I want, alone or with others. Aside from the aforementioned, the game is appealingly designed.

Fun with Flaws. The game itself plays well; most of the problems are in the infrastructure that surrounds it. The delay waiting to see scores is annoying: rather than just showing your score and your opponent’s, you have to wait while the score display spins through every number between 0 and your respective scores. Every time that happens is five seconds of your life you’ll never get back. What’s infinitely worse is the messaging/chat system. It’s broken down by game (rather than by opponent), so if you have more than one game going against one opponent, you can have multiple conversations going as well, meaning you have to flip back and forth between games and check chat in each one to remember what you’ve said. Even better, no chat history is preserved across games; each game is a fresh slate. That’s great if you want to conceal evidence, but not so helpful if you’re trying to remember what you said to someone last week. WWF’s messaging solution is far superior.

Purchasing tickets/or coins. Every time I try to purchase it tells me I can’t when using my Apple Pay. It allowed me to purchase yesterday for coins but when I needed to get more tickets to do another tournament it didn’t let me buy. I tried again today still the same thing. How come there isn’t a unlimited amount of purchases you could make? This doesn’t happen to me for other games I’ve played. Not happy with this really looking to delete the game. Have to wait forever just for 15 coins to appear and can’t get purchase tickets to play in any tournaments. It tells me “This purchase has been processed previously”. But I’ve never brought tickets so I don’t know what’s going on. It will charge when I use my finger say complete but then pop up that message every time! Not a good app.

Favorite Game. This is my favorite game. I love word searches and this one keeps me engaged. You can play as much or as little as you like. I play daily and feel like I am constantly improving. There are some bugs but not enough to turn me off and they seem to be fixed quickly. Some feedback for the developers, I wish there were more opportunities to earn tickets, coins and power ups and it would be nice to pick your prize. I love the daily challenges but I miss the ones with a riddle answer or certain words to look for. The daily challenges are a lot of fun but I wish the payoff was a bit better. Also, I hate the difficult letter search. You could play all day and not get any puzzles with those letters. I play daily but there is no way I can play that much. I guess the purpose is to get you to spend all your tickets and make an in app purchase but I can’t spend that much time playing. Great game though and I can see that many people play daily.

Sounds in Game and Ads Won’t Turn Off. First, it would be great if the app had a settings tab which would enable contact with Zynga. Sadly, their app help doesn’t offer that either. I enjoy this app for the most part. The recent addition of sounds in the power up emoji is awful. I don’t even want these emoji, but I have no choice. They pop in regardless. I now have to turn my sound off on my phone to play, because there is no option to turn these sounds off. Worse is the sound on the ads, to say nothing of the increase in ads and their expanding length. Even with my phone ringer off, the ad sound comes in at full blast. Scary at best, and at worst, it wakes up my partner. Now I have to turn the sound all the way down - even though the ringer is off - and it seems that doing this for one ad isn’t enough. I have to do it on more than one ad for the absence of sound to take. Wake up, Zynga. Not everyone wants to be bombarded with noise when they play. Make an option for no sound, please. Thanks. My rating would be higher save these issues.

Great Game! Some Limitations. Boggle is a fantastic game with some serious upgrades over the years that make the game way more challenging than in past times. It’s totally worth the download. However it lacks certain thing that limit the game and shift it all together into a brand new stand alone game. Power ups are great fun. But it would be swell to join matches that only match players who don’t want power ups. To Harken back to the original game for which I am endlessly a fan of. The power ups do tilt the game in the direction of the person with the most which is fine but the coins to purchase the power ups have to be earned which places a deficit in the game some what. Easily avoidable by doing the bare minimum for a week or two should put one ahead to battle it out in power ups. Lastly for me, the biggest issue by far was not being able to chat to those I am playing. I understand there is a chat feature but over the last month (since I downloaded this game) I am have been unable to talk with those I play. Which is a bummer. Because I feel like I’m missing out on making friends and learning from other players. So developers (I’m not above thinking I’ve not done something wrong in trying to chat so please lend a hand if you can.) I am able to write chats but completely unable to see what others write to be. Can we fix this wonderful bros and lady bros? I’m trying to make friends here. Much love!

So. Many. Bugs.. It's obvious the developer has no interest in improving the gameplay experience. I've only owned the game a few days and I've run into a mind"boggling" amount of bugs already. It looks like the last update was pushed out over 3 months ago so they seem content with collecting their ad revenue and letting us deal with the crappy experience. It's a shame. This is a well known brand and a seemingly popular app. I'm not sure I'll stick around long based on everything I'm seeing. You can do better, dev team! Update: the app has started to go unresponsive and crash with regularity, both after regular games and in the midst of tournaments. I suspect an issue related to the ads based on how it started suddenly 24 hours ago and the fact that there hasn't been an update to the app that could have caused it. I have submitted a report but am not confident I'll hear a response. Awful experience all around thus far. Dev doesn't even allow payment to remove ads.

Getting worse. I used to enjoy this game when it was word streak. I feel that it has gone down hill now that it has turned to Boggle. The ads are incredibly long in the new game, and for some reason, In the new game, the algorithm doesn’t match up players that have similar scores. I have no illusion. I know I’m great at this game, but I enjoy it, and know that word games are good for the brain. But without fail, the game matches me with player that have double and triple and sometimes quadruple my average score. To Their scores are partly because they’re better (I get that) but also because they are clearly using lots of power ups. Many of these scores are completely unrealistic...even for amazing players. I wish they would match up people that want to use a similar amount of “cheats” or none at all. Now onto the power ups. In Word Streak, I also feel like they are charging a lot more (imaginary coins, which build up VERY slowly, or you can buy with REAL money) to play, and use a single power up (which used to be free). They are clearly pushing players to the point that they NEED to actually purchase coins to play this game with any measure of success. Disappointed that they took a good game and ruining it.

Boggle is fun, but lost in the mess of an app. It’s Boggle, which is what I wanted but the app itself is just terrible. When I open the app, I can do one singular thing, sometimes 2, before having to restart the app. It doesn’t fully freeze, you can still scroll up and down but you cannot interact with anything. Restarting app will just perpetuate the cycle, which is what I have to do to play. I have deleted and re-downloaded but still have the constant glitches which are what drove this review. -The app/developers do not offer the purchase of an advertisement free version. I would gladly pay a couple bucks to not watch the same ads repeatedly. I would still occasionally watch ads for power ups and coins, but I personally hate the constant ads. -The coin system and power ups are mildly annoying, but designed for micro transactions for people who play like that. -The app is weird to navigate, the friends listed is only people you’ve already played games with, usually just random Smart Match people. I once found a list of friends, started a game from it and I have never been able to find those friends again. -The tournaments are okay, the tickets aren’t really worth it solely, there should be a few power ups or coins in the 1st place prize. Overall, the game of Boggle is fun, but it gets lost in the applications annoying and constant glitches. It’s not going to hurt you guys to bump up all the rewards a bit, and may even get people to spend more money.

Problems with chat for almost 2 months and tiny chat text. I love the actual game and have been playing Boggle in all its many iterations for 13 years now. I have played some of the same people for ~5-10 years and chatting with them adds to the game’s enjoyment for me. This past June my previous chats suddenly disappeared and it became apparent that people weren’t getting my chats anymore and vice versa. I was able to confirm this with some of the people I play with through email or when their chat started working again weeks or more later. However, there are at least 7 of my “regulars” who I still can’t chat with. I’ve written Zynga numerous times and was told they are aware of the issue (the last couple of times it’s been crickets). It’s getting close to 2 months now making me wonder if they’ll resolve the issue. When the chat IS working, the text had gotten smaller with the last update. Work with us here, Zynga. You’ve been around for awhile and so have a lot of your players 😉 so please bring back larger more legible text size.

Horrible glitches/Can only keep playing if you spend $$$$. Where do I even begin? I never leave reviews but this game has made me so frustrated. I love word games and am an avid Words With Friends player so I thought I’d try out Boggle. The obvious glitches during tournaments and the short ads during matches don’t even bother me much. What does bother me is that I have beaten several levels of the Solo Challenge and have not received any tickets for it and it’s also obvious that the only way to win during tournaments is to buy a ton of power ups with real money. No, I don’t think I’m the greatest player ever, but there’s no way that 65 year olds are on there doubling my word count/score without power ups. 5 power ups per game?! Come on. You can even see when they use 2/3 minutes worth of freezes. What is the point of even trying to play if you aren’t willing to spend money on the game every single day? I get that in app purchases are common, but this is ridiculous. You also get no rewards for playing regular matches, don’t why would I keep playing? The developers of the game really need to take a look at how absurd the structure of this game is.

Big Fan of the game; I also hate the sounds. I love playing this game! There is little ad interruption, which is a huge plus! Usually I find myself deleting other games after a few days or just letting them gather dust on my phone, but I play and enjoy Boggle daily. I do hate the weird sounds that persist even when you’ve chosen to turn off Sounds in the settings. They are kind of like punishment for playing! Instead of looking like a respectable adult answering texts, you are suddenly and unpredictably revealed to the whole world as a game player. It is very possible to play this game without purchasing anything. I do remember at first that I had to wait for tokens to regenerate; then I found the Tournaments and also started using the features built into the game such as checking in daily and the daily and weekly challenges to accumulate tokens. The daily challenges are a fun goal, very achievable.

Bugs and poor support. I would have given this game 5 stars as it is a lot of fun. But the bugs are excessive I.e. awarding less XPs (points) than it should, freezing, crashing, advancing the round loser instead of winner to the next round, the list goes on. Then, customer support is horrific. They are super polite and friendly but that’s where it ends. They’re comprehension is horrific. It takes multiple messages before they even get what you’re saying (with a 24 hour lag between message and response). I recently (5 days ago) was short/ changed XPs. After several messages support finally understood and claimed to have credited them. But instead, they zeroed them out! I’ve been messaging ever since but they keep asking for a screenshot from 5 days ago. Why would I have taken a screenshot? Do they think I should have foreseen that they were going to zero out my XPs?? Maybe they think I have a crystal ball? And the kicker is, even if I had a screenshot, they’re buggy game does not allow me to attach one. I’m beyond frustrated.

Long-time fan with a couple of complaints. I’ve seen Boggle morph over the years through several versions. It’s one of my favorite online pastimes. I’m enjoying the current format, with a couple of exceptions. In the group tournament program, there is often a waiting period before the game begins once the player slots are filled - a glitch which did not occur in the previous versions. The second issue, which has persisted throughout all the formats, is in the letter touch function. I have to make a conscious effort to touch the letters very lightly when I’m spelling out my words. Even then, I often have to repeat the spell-touching when the letters don’t register which costs me time. And I don’t have this issue when I’m texting. It’s rather frustrating during the heat of competition. Not that I’m losing sleep over it - but an improvement in this department would make for a smoother, fairer game. Otherwise, it meets the mark. Thanks for the free and easy access to tickets and coins. If I had to pay, I wouldn’t play!

Hands down the best word game app.. Yes, I would enjoy a few improvements like more affordable coins, tickets and power ups as well as a more affordable no ads version. But! As far as word game apps go, Boggle is the best of any I’ve used and continues to be my favorite with every day use. It is truly therapy for me as a no drama zone outlet. Hats off to the creators! On a side note, I love the feature that allows you to block players. Some people are just creepy and knowing the developers appreciate security enough to simplify the process gives me more confidence in them all around. Another tip would be to pair up players in the tournaments in a more fair way would be great. If I am running 100wpm and the others are running 300 wpm it’s not going to be a fun match for either party so working on that tweak and giving more rewards all around would be a 5 star rating and gaming perfection for sure. I look forward to more Boggle fun and hope to see positive changes soon!

Thanks for Listening. I had complained before that they were hardly any power ups given as they had been in the past. It improved and then, once again very few rewarded. In fact, In the past they were very generous. As I’m a long time player that doesn’t like to purchase power ups, this has always been a positive and appreciated thing about this game, the rewards for playing. Now the new most annoying thing is the advertisements that were NEVER there. Thought I had purchased to have no advertisements, but apparently this game never really had any. If it continues there should be an option to purchase out of these advertisements. Love this game so much, but recent disappointments makes it frustrating to enjoy, otherwise I’d given it five stars as I have in the past.

Fun but lots of bugs that gets annoying. I just upgraded to this version from Word Streak. I love playing the tournaments but ever since I started using this version for tournaments it always freezes my entry where it kept showing me it was still preparing but other players were already playing and I would still be on the entry screen. This happened multiple times until I would just end up quitting and lose my entry tickets. And sometimes it would just stay on the screen forever. Another quirk is after the game ends I used to be able to swipe back to the previous rounds to see what everyone scored but in this version it automatically jumps to the leaderboard (which I don’t care for) and goes back to main menu. Gets annoying. Other than that I do like the new games and challenges it has over Word Streak. But now when I play tournaments I go back to the old version. Update: ok so I’ve just completed a tournament and found that it did not update my power-ups. Do you know how many tournament games I had to play to finally reach completion to earn power-ups? Wasted my time, very aggravating. Would give negative 10 stars if I could. Good bye app!

Very enjoyable game!. 1st review below. 2: One problem: when I finish a third rounds and want a rematch, the game keeps showing up with "done" rather than "play". I have to go back to a completed game on the top line to play. It's annoying. Otherwise, I still love the game. The game has really become a significant part of my life, one of the ways I unwind, keep my brain active, engage with words, which I love, and interact daily with some family members. This version has continued improvements other versions have made. A few minor problems remain, but nothing frustrating except for the fact that the words in the "chat" are almost too small to read if one uses an iPad mini, as I do. (COULD THE FONT BE MADE LARGER, PLEASE?) Other minor problems: 1. Sometimes when I tap on a game someone sent me, I get a white screen (maybe for chatting) instead of the game itself. When this happens, I try a few more times, and I always get the game eventually. 2. Occasionally, when I finish with a game and try to start another, the lower right box keep saying "done" instead of "play". 3. Sometimes when scores are over 100, the score is just given as 1.. instead of the full number. 4. Before I got to my number 2 point, the words I was typing went underneath the keyboard, so I can't see what I'm typing unless I stop and pull up the screen, which won't stay up unless my finger is holding it up. This has always happened when I've tried to comment.

Response to Cleomatic. First of all the app is a wonderful game and a nice learning tool. You can spell big words if you know big words. With the puzzle being so small it is difficult if you have a limited vocabulary (like Cleo who rated it 2 stars and wined about it). Nobody uses it as a dating sight unless you are responding back or make yourself noticeable in that light. There are rude people that get their feelings hurt because you outwitted them. Some like to use the blame of buying words. It’s part of a strategy, sometimes using words can inspire your mind (or jump start your thinking). When folks get curt or rude I just say “have a pleasurable day. There is not a shortage of players. You can play free games all day by signing up for tournaments etc. The game is good dope and lots of fun. If you are looking for a serious challenge, come knock on my door and I’ll give you what you’re asking for. Have a great day everyone.

Extremely buggy but addictive.. As much as I like this game … it is the buggiest app I’ve ever downloaded. Sometimes it’ll just crash or become unresponsive and need to be killed and restarted. Most annoyingly, it crashes on about 4 out of every 5 tournaments I play. (So I tend to avoid them unless one of the daily quests is to play 6 tournament rounds.) Often, when choosing power ups for a match, the “play” button doesn’t change from “play with no power ups” even though I’ve selected three. (A workaround that *sometimes* works is to select a mega power up and then deselect it.) It also often crashes when displaying an ad. In these cases it usually just dies or goes to a black screen and becomes in responsive. It’s also a battery hog. I used to play it daily several years ago, got frustrated with the constant crashing and deleted it. I re-downloaded it a couple months ago and have found it’s just as buggy now as it was then. And now I’m about to delete it again. Sad because it is a fun and addictive game when it works. I wish the developers would put the work in to eliminate the bugs and make it stable, but at this point I doubt they will as some of the same bugs have been there for years. Oh well.

Ridiculous. You cannot play live rounds with family at the same time. It’s only one round at a time. If we press create a game, it starts 2 completely different rounds at two different times. Can there be a part to this App where you play the same game at the same time in real time(live)? It’s frustrating having to wait for the other person to finish their game, THEN have your own turn! I would like to be able to play with my family at the same time. It’s more fun that way.

Boggle update. I like the game and think the new format is great. But I’ve never won anything on the daily spin other than tickets either in the tournaments or in the game with friends, going back for about a year now. Could it be rigged? And I’m repeatedly asked if I want to be notified when it’s my turn. No, no, no, and no. Please stop asking me. And please stop asking me to rate the game. I already have.

Bugs are a continuing issue. Loved this game until I realised that I would lose points after I finished playing a round of games in the tournaments. Despite lodging a complaint and following all instructions to address this issue, the problem remained. Incredibly frustrating. Will delete this game permanently now.

Frustration. Its bad enough that it has ads every time the game ends but crashing and can’t play on the everyday event because of a bug. I had to keep deleting the game and re upload just so I can keep playing the every day event but I have to wait 24hrs for the event to finish just to play the events.

Missing what matters most. It is inexcusable to not have an option to play regular Boggle, without the gimmicks, power-ups, letter points, rule changes, etc., with the availability of setting that as a personal default. Why not let us turn off those features, as with sounds and such? I accept that some people might enjoy options and "improvements" on the original Boggle, but why not let us also play regular Boggle in phone form? Surely we can have both...

fun game. It’s a great little game, boggles my mind how high some players can score I would score an ad and bug free version 5 stars, but for now 1 star has been removed for the excessive ads, especially because the video ads often freeze up the game. Half a star off because the audio sometimes gets quite laggy and sometimes stops working until the game it hard-closed, and half a star off for being nagged to leave a review immediately after every update. To be clear, I am not against the developer monitizing through a reasonable amount of advertising, but if you are going to have ads, at least give them good video and audio quality and a way to link to further information.

Boggle. I could see the other letters a lot easier in the old version. These are adds have made it not as enjoyable. I have to leave the site and come back to it to see who wins

Tournament bug. Pls fix tournament bug. Have lost so many tickets from tournaments crashing mid way or saying that you’ve won the round and then the opponent went to the next round instead and you look back at round 1 and it says your score is zero.

Been playing for years. Top game. Play with one other friend and we have great match ups every time. Love the events and trying to win some extra help. Highly recommend!!

Engrossing. With plenty of options from tournaments to score improvements, along with playing options like single, smart, friends, there are lots of variations. Handy modes too like freeze, vision, spin.

Buggy. Have played this daily for years, enjoying it immensely, but lately have to trash it and reload after every round played. Longer ads, and many allowing early closure close the results page and lock the app up. One ad just gives a black screen with no way out. The Leaderboard doesn’t load properly most of the time either. I have to trash the app and reopen a dozen times before it shows progress. It’s getting to the point where I’ll stop playing. Pity these recent bugs make it tiresome to play.

Bug or glitch. I have encountered 2 problems with the tournaments! Played all 3 rounds and third round registered as ‘no score’. The other problem, played first round and unable to proceed to the next round. Very Frustrating!!

Bogglemania. Great app with serious addictive powers. Only complaint is that there are some minor bugs if you use an Apple iPhone. But you can live with them. I’ve been playing for well over 1 year and whilst the chat facility is ok, it takes forever to take your comment. And in my opinion, many Boggle players don’t engage in return chats as much as say chess or scrabble players. Could be that the chat facility in Boggle is frustrating at best. Other than that, enjoy the game. Keeps the mind active... I think! Lol 😂

Addictive. Seriously addictive but can be annoying in that the new games take a long time to load and sometimes don’t, so you start a new game with another player only to have it interrupted by the game you had previously tried to load

Inappropriate ads. Love the game, it’s good and fast and there’s always different ways to play. Considering it’s a family game suitable for all ages though, please only show family appropriate ads. Current ad showing an animated game where a man is chained and tied to a bed is very inappropriate for a family audience. (Yes, l’m aware I could pay and have all ads removed but I shouldn’t be forced to, to remove inappropriate content from a game that shouldn’t have it in the first place.) I love the actual Boggle game and I’d give 5 stars if it wasn’t for this.

Great app but has a big bug. The app is great and I love playing each day. However, the advert for candy crush still blasts out sound even when the phone is on silent. Please fix this, it’s embarrassing.

The latest update is terrible. I can’t see messages when I should & I hate it that they’re all wrapped up on the one game. Please change it back. It ruins the game.

Ads suddenly appearing. Got up this morning to play the game and all of a sudden after every game there is an ad. Very frustrating. What a way to ruin a good game. Now considering deleting the game after 8 years. Was a 5 star game before starting to get the ads now only 1.

Cyngladel. Have played this game for months and it had a few glitches which appeared to be fixed but NOW 1. I have a player that challenged me and when I go into play it takes all my tokens away and I can’t resign! No button for this on this player! 2. If someone challenges me and I DON’T want to play that person I have to resign so lose my winning streak!! 3. The refill tokens are glitching on 5 and not 15 as in the past and it says to resume paused game... WHAT paused game??? I don’t have one on the go... 4. The daily spin for tickets a few days ago gave me “nil tickets” !!! What the??? That’s not the way to keep me coming back... seriously thinking of deleting this game.. Oh yes.. and the ads!! No thanks..

New words. I love this game. A suggestion to improve: give bonus points for a new word that the player hasn’t found before. This would help new players be more competitive and encourage older players to be more adventurous.

Not as good as the Boggle it replaced. This game in the old version of Boggle is lots of fun, but in this new version the colours and presentation during the game makes it very hard to find words. As a result it is not enjoyable at all. Please allow customisation of the colours and layout, or better yet let us go back to the old layout.

Updated but can’t app just closes. I’ve updated the latest version and now I can not open the app to play, it just closes the app. I play with it everyday so it is disappointing that I can’t play it anymore due to the update. No other problems with other apps.

Most enjoyable. I love Boggle but get quite disappointed when I have won a three game match but do not get any tickets. Makes me feel like developers just want me to purchase more tickets. I do appreciate that you get free tickets after 24 hours though.

Poor game experience. As soon as you join a tournament, your ticket is used, even when nobody else joins your tournament within the launch time. You need to wait until whenever someone else joins (or lose your ticket if game time is no longer convenient). If someone does join the tournament, you can be beaten by them without ever seeing their score or the words they chose. Just - too bad; ticket is gone; try again. I raised questions and provided feedback via in-app support but there were no responses after 4 days so the developers don’t seem interested to improve the game. I recommend finding another Boggle game. This one is not a positive experience and the support team don’t care.

Power ups. Great game and deciding when to use power ups is part of the challenge. However I think the freeze option should not be available in tournaments. It ruins the contest and is just a money maker.

Slooooooww. The wait time between tournament games is CRAZY slow… I thought it might be my old phone, or poor internet speed/ping, or a combination, but now with a brand new iPhone 13, even on a superior connection, this slow turnover is ridiculous, and a real turn-off.

Too many advertisements. I love this game and have played it for over a year. I bought the ad free version but it is no longer ad free. As of today they have put a 30 second ad in between each game, this is very disappointing!!!! I have paid for it to be advertisement free!!!!

Brrrr. Great game but constantly freezes mid-game. Latest iPad Pro 12.9. Had an iPad Air which when froze up even worse. Different iPad now same problem!

Love this game...but. Love the game but can we please move off the letter A when using the bonus tiles? The system used to give you words starting with a variety of letters but now it’s always A, and they are very hard to remember and don’t give you many points. I know, 3rd world problems! Still it is annoying. It’s like your technology has gone backwards

Enjoyable game but tired of all the ads!. Do something about the frequency of the ads. It really ruins the gameplay experience. It’s so much worse now they are all in landscape and between every game move. I don’t watch them and won’t even if they weren’t sideways.

Word Streak/Boggle let down. Uhhhh....two great games that appear to have been mashed up. Play one and tokens taken from other - same players, same game and same challenges. What is happening, Zynga?

Great game. This is a great little game. Although my game glitches and goes so slowly when I try to make words. I’ve updated it regularly but it still freezes and I can’t play properly. When it’s working I love it! I do with there were more inspiration mystery boxes rather than freezes and less days to claim those mystery boxes. Go back to the original week rather than 2 weeks.

Boggle. Being in the over 75 group and used to playing scrabble and words with friends i find this game a tad too fast but giving it a go and hope to get better.

the game = really fun. the app = not so great. It’s already crashed once or twice and I downloaded it three days ago. Also, it’s annoying that there’s a limit to the number of tokens you can amass and the number of games you can have running at a time, since you’ll often have most games inactive as you wait for the other oponent to take their turn. I also think you should get a reqard for beating someone, especially of their stats are higher than yours. The game itself is challenging, fun and definitely worth spending a free half hour here and there. It is pretty addictive.

Love this game.. but. Love this game but I think the ads are annoying. I understand you need to have them but some you are stuck with too long and the idea of having that little cross move from corner to corner drives me nuts. Who selects these ads anyway? I think you're missing your demographic. I'm not interested in any of the stuff you put up. Also tickets take too long to replenish.

Since the beginning. I’ve been playing this game since it was done with paper and pencil. Now I can play online my competition has gotten a lot stiffer. I love it!

Addicted to this great app!. I LOVED playing boggle as a kid and since finding this app version, I’ve become quite addicted! I play fairly regularly, sometimes I play without the helps and sometimes with - I always do way better with them though! Turn the sound of if you’re playing late at night whilst breastfeeding baby.... lol. Poor thing jumped sky high.

Burning IPhone 6 on iOS 11.*. Something seriously wrong has happened to this app. It keeps freezing midway through playing and burning up the phone cpu to the point you have to close the app due to the heat. Even trying to write a message to an opponent grinds to a halt. It seems to be thrashing data back and forth. The data icon is constantly whizzing then the play just freezes for 10, 20 even 30 secs at a time. Has been this way for the last two weeks at least. Will stop trying to play now

Annoying ads. Great game guys but pls sort out those annoying ads. Placing a tiny cross to close ad making it impossible to not accidentally click on it is pretty lame.

Boggle. I hate the layout and I particularly don’t like the playing board...seeing I was forced to move over to boggle I want the add free version, I paid to have no adds on words I don’t want to have to pay again

Fun to play but problems with mystery daily bonus. I love this game and play every day. Lately there has been a glitch with the mystery daily bonus. You collect every day right up till the second last day and when you finally hit the last day the mega bonus is gone and it restarts you at the beginning. Absolutely frustrating and sooo annoying since I deserve the bonus freezes etc and you don’t get them for all the effort you put in. Fix it please !!!!! Otherwise happy.

This game is taking over my life. Seriously addicted to this game. It’s a blessing and a curse lol. I have wasted so very many hours on tournaments! If you’re a big fan of word games, you’ll find it incredibly fun and addictive. Unlike other reviewers, I never have a problem with ads or gameplay/rewards. The app does crash occasionally but that’s pretty much all apps. I never run out of coins or tickets and I play all the time, so I never need to purchase anything as the daily rewards and tournament rewards are more than enough to keep you going. The only issue for me is that after playing a round on a tournament, it sometimes takes FOREVER to move onto the next round even though everyone has clearly finished playing the round. So a 6 minute tournament takes more like 10+ minutes and it’s annoying having to wait. It didn’t used to be this way, it happened with an update some months ago. Other than that, boggle on!

Was good but ads changed and ruined it. I have deleted this from my phone. It’s a fun word game and a good way to pass spare time. Recently the ads changed. Now every ad throws you to the App Store or a website without you clicking on the ad. The developers need to make money, they do this through ads but to have to constantly close browser pages that have been opened without consent or move back from the App Store is beyond frustrating. The other complaint is that the app is slow. It doesn’t appear to be natively developed for the iPhone and you often have to close it and open it again to get it to function correctly.

Completely wiped. Not happy…..I had to reinstall due to a game freezing and not allowing to me to move any further in the game. So I reinstall, password correct and I log straight back in. Everything wiped and apparently I have to start again. At least 6 years worth. Really not impressed at all…..

Would be good if. Would be good if a paid ad free version was offered. Ads are not only annoying (and ignored and skipped) but also affect the games ability to load results after each round. After the ad the words found fails to show correctly every time

Now I remember reason I stopped playing... 😔. I played this years ago and enjoyed it. I come back to give it another shot but there are so many ads and NO option to purchase. It ruins the fun and flow of the game. I also hate the fact that there are so many cheats. One person I played found less words than me but their points total was extreme. If I could purchase the game outright, PLUS have an option to either, A) know what cheats my opponent has used, or B) play people who don’t use them, I would give this a 5-Star rating. Until then, it’s back to WWF. Please don’t ruin that too.

Cheats randomly. I wish I could attach the pic I have of the game blantantly taking my money and making me lose tournaments that I have higher scores then my opponents lol…..

The Weekly Challenge. The scores and the results are not showing for the weekly challenge. It would be great if you can fix that.

Boggle. I love this game! The ads have gotten out of hand with extended length, traps to get through ads and now stupid banner ads top and bottom that actually impede using the screen, even so much as covering the “X” so you cannot move on.

Please get rid of the weekly challenge.. Great game. The weekly challenge should be an option. It prevents the game from loading in a timely manner. Also your pink tickets are getting out of hand. I don’t need so much tickets.

Fun but glitches WAY too often. I play the 16k challenge every week, and about a quarter of the time I don’t get the prize. It says I did, but I didn’t. Frustrating! If you accidentally hit play twice in a row you’ll get 0 and it’ll stall out for hours or days. I won tons upfront and got all the pink tickets then lost them all relatively quickly and can’t ever get close to where I was, so I feel like I’ve been manipulated, since my ability hasn’t changed for the worse! Mixed feelings about this game.

Long video ads before & after each game. Too many pop ups.. Sooo many ads and pop ups. I used to enjoy Boggle… now i’m forced to watch long video ads before and after short games and so many pop up game challenges. I don’t care about earning coins for stickers. I just want to play boggle. Disappointed.

Lame. The rolls are not random, you get the same combinations of letters and same words over and over again.

Daily challenge weekly score not correct. I love boggle it helped me through some of hardest days of my life. I have noticed for many weeks now scores till Wednesday calculates well and then Thursday calculations goes change . Like 5000 score becomes lower and then even after being in top till Wednesday Thursday starts downhill. Please fix this issue. I love boggle I don’t want to stop playing

The coach. The coach uses words that don’t exist in the English language.

Very Buggy. Constantly glitching and freezing. Have to restart game after EVERY single ad pop up.

Love it. Love this game and the tournaments. Can't play for too long without being asked to pay though.

A sad remnant of the original game. Used to play the oldest version of this where the game started, you made words and got a score and a list of all possible words with the ones you found highlighted. Now it’s “with friends”, sign in, watch ads, find a certain number of words or you lose, watch ads, etc. No stand alone, just play the game and have fun. All the fun has gone out of this, and so it’ll be getting deleted.

Hideous coloring scheme. Difficult to read.. Scramble was a much better version. The font and color scheme makes it very difficult to read the word list when you’re done. Also, I am still angry at Hasbro for forcing the actual good version of him on Boggle off without replacing it with a comparable version. Are used to be able to play simultaneous games of boggle with six other people who I was allowed to chat with while we were doing it then in between games people made friends there many of the rooms chose to go for longer words only which is not an option on this game, this is just a far inferior version. As per should not have taken down a good But on authorized version if they weren’t willing to replace it with a decent version. And this one sucks.

Terrible. Congratulations, Zynga. You ruined Words with Friends, and now you’ve ruined Boggle, too. I don’t want a bunch of different modes. I want classic Boggle. I used to have it, but the app is no longer supported and I hoped, despite how you ruined Words with Friends, that this would be the Boggle game I loved. I don’t want power ups and prizes and challenge mode and all this other crap. I don’t want a cluttered screen or stupid characters. I just want Boggle. I stopped playing WWF because you added all that nonsense. I played one game of Boggle and now I’m deleting this app. There’s way too much going on and none of it is good. Just make a game that lets people play the actual game. I’m begging you. Stop this madness.

Ads covering some letters. Recently, ads have been covering parts of the letters and I have to guess what the letter is. I can’t x the ad out and I don’t want to lose out on the 2 minutes. A pity but I am almost ready to stop playing, although I like the game. No fun making words when you can’t see the letters.

Update the app to work with new iOS. Update this app! Since the last iOS update, the app blinks but won’t load. Now after closing it, I have to delete the app and go get it again every time I want to play again.

Since last week, updates worse and worse. Every single update since last week has been worse and worse with bugs and crashes and frustrating errors. What is wrong with your developers and programmers?!?!?!? This used to be a fantastic game. Since last week, it is frustrating crashing garbage!!!

Can’t open app after latest update. The latest update stated it was now more stable. Fast forward after updating and guess what?? Can’t even get into the app as it crashes immediately. Didn’t have a problem with instability at all before. Fix please!!

App freezes when giving results of game. Error message that forces reboot every time I play a live challenge

It’s broken!. My Boggle is broken!! It always worked .. I play it daily. Or rather, I used to play it. Now when I attempt to open the app, it flashes on my screen briefly and then shuts down. So then I remove and re-install the app and it works once. Then it doesn’t. Help! Please fix it. (this started about a week ago. Iphone 11 iOS 14.4.2 - it started before this latest iOS update tho.)

Freezes constantly. It gets stuck while tallying scores for daily events. It stays frozen for days so I can’t play.

Very buggy. It’s fun but wow, very buggy. I don’t have the patience.

30 second ads reduce enjoyment.... Having so many 30 second ads which run after every time you play a round is frustrating. It wasn’t too bad before the last couple of software updates but it now decreases the enjoyment!

This game has great potential but…. It simply isn’t fair that you have no idea whether people are using power ups or not. You can’t really call it a contest when one person is using power ups and the other person is not or even different amounts of power ups. I recommend you have perhaps one competition a week where power ups aren’t allowed so you have a true contest rather than a loaded one. Thanks for listening.

Too many ads. Love the game but there’s waaaay too many ads and they’re all excruciatingly long to watch. It really gets in the way of playing the game. I get having some, but given the number of the ads that play and the length of each one.. it’s too much.

Classic and commercials. Would be nice to have a version of this game with NO POWER UPS (cheats, hints, extra time etc). Love plying the tournaments, but waiting for everyone to stop freezing the board is annoying. Way too many commercials in this game.

Glitches. The game is really fun but the App is very glitchy. It keeps shutting down in the middle of games. If you’re playing a game 1 on 1 with someone you can get back to it but if you are playing a tournament you can’t, and you’ve wasted any tickets or power ups you’ve used. It especially seems to kick me out when I’m winning!

Unplayable!. Animated ads cover up the points and score so you have zero idea how you’re doing. Game has become unplayable

Crash on iPhone 14 pro. Always worked fine until getting my new phone. Now every time I click on any game it immediately crashes. When I load the app again, that game works. Then the next one I click crashes the app until I reload. I have to reload the app for each game I play. Also, randomize the letters!!!! I’m sick of the same patterns of letters, makes it less challenging because you find the same words over and over.

Reasonably entertaining. I enjoy Boggle, so this is a fun way to pass time. The problem is that frequently I challenge a person to a match and they don’t respond, so I’m stuck with a game that isn’t being played. They only let you have a certain number of games open at one time, therefore people not playing can limit your ability to play other players. Of course you can resign from the game, but I’d rather play than not play, plus sometimes I’ve used tokens to initiate that match and would rather not waste them while I have a choice. Also the chat feature is linked to the match you’re playing with a person, which means it closes not long after the match is completed. To keep talking to the person one of you needs to open another match, not a serious problem, but you lose your chat history.

Issues with loading. I love, love, love this game but recently seem to have lots of issues with loading the screens to play. Many times the screen locks up on me and I end up just quitting and going to play another of my games. It would be wonderful if you could resolve these issues and make the game work better (like it used to - maybe it’s getting to be too popular?? Continued issues with the games.....I love this game but the issues are getting worse and worse. Game continues to freeze up on me constantly - so much that I have well over 500 tokens accumulated because I can only play a couple games before it freezes on me. Also, how do you get the freeze tokens?? Those are the ones I prefer, but seldom seem to get them as awards. This is a great game but it is very frustrating to deal with the freeze-ups!

Hurry up and wait!. Another update. Zinga is just not going to fix anything wrong with this app. They must have a staff of 5 and 3 are on vacation. Today I opened up the app and had 531 points. Then I played one game costing 1 point. My points then went to 497. Math is beyond them! An update. It’s been through several updates now and it’s slower than ever. Luckily, I have better things to do than wait for this game. 44 seconds. I'm always waiting 44 seconds for a match to start. Then I play furiously. Then I wait for the next phase of the tournament. Ugh! I love the game, hate the waits. Hate that I don't know what power ups the other players are using. Also, if I don't use power ups and they do, then I'm waiting while they finish the game. I should be able to select a tournament that doesn't use power ups. Ads! Especially the ones with noise! Hate them. Let me buy this app and get rid of the ads! I never look at the ads. I just look for the close box. Please work on this game. It has great potential. I didn’t think it was possible, but it’s now more waiting than ever. Now I wait even though the screen indicates that all players are ready. I usually play against their computer, so I think this is a dying game. Not enough real players.

Great Game But Ads Are Ruining It. The design of this game is right on for Boggle. But the ads have gotten ridiculous. It’s at the point where it’s back to back ads. You might have to watch up to three ads to play one game. It’s already bad enough to watch the same ad over and over again, especially after you’ve already downloaded the game. One ad for every game I want to play, that’s a bit much but tolerable. But watching an ad, changing screens and then having to watch another ad a second later, is ridiculous. And at that point I shut the app down. I don’t know why this is an obvious to you Boggle, but too many ads actually kills your game.

Addictive game, but with glitches. I love playing, perhaps too much. The past few days there have been glitches that make it impossible to get out of a challenge, i.e., half price Tuesday and one on one Wednesday. It's the same board over and over and at the end it says there are 0 players and won't "release" me. I've contacted support and have done everything they said, including uninstalling and reinstalling the app several times. The glitch is on their end and they aren't fixing it. I especially enjoy one on one Wednesday because it's fast. You don't gain any ground because of the cost of tickets, but you get back enough to keep going. ***Update*** Almost two months later and they haven’t fixed the problem with the lightning rounds/daily games. Each support person tells me to do exactly what the last support person tells me. Nothing fixes it. The problem is on their end and they won’t fix it. Because of that, I’m reducing the stars to 1. But Zynga support won’t care.

This used to be so good. The first version of this game was great. The board was easy to see, you got rewarded for watching ads but could X out of them if you didn’t want to watch them. Then it changed to ‘Boggle’ and forced you to move to a busy, distracted board and play was much slower. Now they have added ads that not only have no reward, you cannot X out and you have to watch them OFTEN. I have been playing this game despite all changes for almost ten years. I’ve met great people playing this game. It’s a great place to use your brain and get inventive and have a challenge. It’s also the only place I buy any extras. With the intrusive ads this will be all over. I’ll play for a couple days and if the ads continue, leave. That’s why you pay for the game, to get rid of the ads. The two stars are for the original good idea.

Disappointed. I used to play this game all the time but once i hit level 100 they stopped giving a number of awards. I guess they wanted me to buy more of the awards i used to win. However it had the opposite effect. Since i can’t win awards why should i buy tokens that i can’t win tokens with? They also used to have a 30 sec window to start tournaments that they lengthened to 45 seconds. Now it’s 90 seconds and if not enough players have come on the tournament they make you wait even longer. Why not go back to having game generated opponents and cutting the wait time? It’s really a shame. They really sucked a lot of fun out of the game.

Stupid. I gave a five star review because the game is fun, but how hard would it be to just add a setting that would allow players to know they are playing against someone on an equal playing field? I just want to compete at Boggle, not at who can buy the most stupid fake coins. You can still have a leaderboard for all those egos out there who enjoy purchasing their place at the top, and can still have games where anything goes like it is now. But please also allow us normal people to have a place where we can compete against each other at just, ya know, Boggle! Thank you

The change to the competition is unfair. I’m not sure why you felt the need to reduce the number of competition levels, and to get rid of the competition which required 5 tickets to enter and rewarded 25 tickets. It seems to have eliminated a level of playing for intermediate players. The competition now is clearly in the houses favour, it requires you to use an ample amount of tickets with very little reward as It has reduced the number of competitions. The more serious and better players stuck to the competitions which rewarded them handsomely for their skills. It’s not fun to play in competition where more often than not you have no chance and it cost way too much in tickets. I Guess the purpose then is to buy tickets, but I never will. For me this is a mindless free distraction.

Uninformative tournament stats. The game is okay for the boggle word enthusiast. Winning (or losing) doesn’t necessarily tell you how good you are at finding words, though. You don’t know what “power ups” your opponent is using, or how many (they can technically use up to 5 per round). Meanwhile, tournament players don’t seem to be well matched - but this is possibly because players have meaningless stats. They are: games won, 1st place wins, and total tickets won. These stats are kind of useless without knowing how many TOTAL games have been played. Player won 500 games. That’s great. But was it 500 of 500 games played? Or 500 of 100,000 games played? Big difference. Also, total tickets won is kind of redundant. You can sort of figure it out by knowing the first two stats (games won, 1st place wins). But the other thing is, who cares about the tickets. More interesting is their win percentage, which is unavailable.

Great game but..... I would love the new daily quests but I think they should keep them a little less challenging. I’m sure they make them that way to entice you to keep spending in order to complete them but come on!!! If I have to find 70 words a game 4 times or use Vision 6 times...I shut it down. It would be nice to earn power ups instead of a few tickets every time. I like that you can watch ads in the store to earn stuff but those rewards are horrible being only one or two coins or tickets per ad. I’ve only gotten a power up once by watching the ads. Seems Zynga is getting greedy to force you to spend money while receiving a fortune off the ads as well. I do like the customer service response when there are game glitches.

Changes?. I’ve loved this app for a long but recently two things have happened and I’m not fond of either. 1. Three times now in the last two weeks or so I have played the third round with a great score only for it to show a zero. Guess what typically happens when you score zero on the last round? You lose! Which was even more frustrating due to it messing up my streak. 2. All of a sudden inactive games are continuing?? I have people who haven’t played their turn in 14-21 days and it’s still there waiting. Which is really annoying since I’m “maxed” out on games but many have been opened for over two weeks with no move on my opponent’s end. I don’t want to forfeit those games and mess up my winning percentage.

Doesn’t credit you all your words. I’ve been playing this app for years. I love the game of Boggle, always played it in my family around the table. But over the past few months I’ve been repeatedly noticing that words I’ve played in game are being left out in my summary, and not just a couple, most I’ve seen is 29 words valued at 761 points when added up. That’s the difference between a score of 1667 in a round compared to 2424 that it should have been!! I feel really cheated here. Customer service is impossible to get in contact with, and no resolution when I do. Feel like this game is going down the crapper. I’ve had many issues with words with friends and Crosswords with friends too. Zynga needs to make themselves available for “actual” customer service and stop being evasive, I’m not sure I’ll be playing with crap like this going on. 😡😡

Not as good as Word Streak. Apparently this replaces Word Streak, which has lost the ability to chat with other players, and was suggested when they phased out chat. This one has too many pop-ups and bonuses as part of the game (not just the commercials, but part of the game). What are those things, and who even wants them and constant notice of them? The screen is much too busy, and I dislike all the suggested players who keep me from seeing my long-time players since we all migrated over from the other game. Screen is too busy and distracting. Too much extra crap. I liked Word Streak much better, although this is basically the same game. Just too much stuff junking up the game.

Love the game, sick of the bugs. I love the game. It is fun and somewhat challenging. The problem is that the game is buggy and tech support has not fixed the problem. When I reported the issue (have reported several times) they send me a canned response to uninstall then reinstall the game, with no real fix. I read some other reviews and it seems I am not the only person having issues. I will keep playing because it passes the time. If I had issues with an app at my place of employment and our tech support couldn’t resolve the problems they would be replaced. Come on guys, it cannot be that difficult - it has been months without a resolution. (Issue is that the leaderboard for the daily challenge doesn’t populate, I only see my own results)

Great game... a few problems. I love this game. It's fun and well made. I've never had any glitches during an actual match. However, the whole point of competition is to see who is best on an even playing field. The pay to cheat game model ruins this version of Boggle and many other types of multiplayer games. At the very least, the developers can reveal how many power ups your opponents used against you. Of course the people who are paying might not want to be exposed... but I can guarantee you they will still use the power ups anyway because it's about winning for them. It will probably even make everyone use more power ups in the long run. Once I know someone is using power ups then I usually use some too. Also, tournament mode would be much better with a group chat feature in the lobby. You are pretty much stuck doing nothing while you are waiting for the game to start and in between matches. If other players are using power ups or have disconnected, then you are waiting anywhere from 1 to 3 minutes between rounds. The last time I wrote a review they fixed the ad glitch I mentioned, so they are listening.

One of my all-time favorites…ruined. I paid to have the advertisements removed from the game for a month, and this made it a playable game. The in-game advertisements are so overwhelming that you can’t play without leaving the app. Why would you do this to boggle? A crazy fun game with a good amount of players…did this enhance your revenue? This is a turn off for me. I’ll play word blitz on Facebook, where I can actually watch an ad, and continue playing after I finish watching the advertisement. If you don’t know this is how the advertisements have affected your game, you need to clean house. You’ve made a fun game unplayable, and I have to believe that your total number of players has gone WAY DOWN. If your profits have gone up, congratulations on a wise business move, if they haven’t, save your really fun game from advertisement shenanigans.

Buggy and annoying. I love the game of Boggle, and wish this was simply a way to play it. But, there are daily annoyances that prevent it from being an enjoyable experience, e.g.: • generally have to open the app, then quit it manually, and then open it again in order for it to work. Every day. • *constant* ads. Forced to watch ads after every round, and there’s no paid version to get rid of this. • MUST completely turn the sound off on your device in order to play it. It ignores the “no game sounds” setting, and inserts distracting sounds during the game. • the daily streaks for playing add up to tokens and such for continuing play. The extra feature tokens come after playing many days in a row to get “bonus” ones. However, the game regularly drops a day from your streak when it nears that threshold, to then tell you that you have to start over. This has happened to me many times, even when I collect the daily every day. It’s as if the game has decided to cheat and not let people get full streaks any more. • their email verification is broken; simply doesn’t work • the overall UI design is overly cluttered, cartoony, and lacks sophistication or decent usability.

Not Word Streak. I had been playing Word Streak with Friends for years. Had like 30 games going. It sometimes got a little stilted in play, but otherwise played well. Worked well. Easy to manage games. The recent iOS update doesn’t support Word Streak and so I was forced to shift to Boggle with Friends. While it is essentially the same game with the same power ups, it’s a pain in the rear to engage. Managing games, starting games, determining which games are current is difficult to track. And between EVERY SINGLE GAME there is a trio of ads for the same game (rotation of games, but always a trio of ads for that game at that time), which significantly slows down game play and makes it far less appealing to even open the app to start a game let alone get lost in playing multiple games in a row because it’s far too stilted. So on short, loved Word Streak. Hate Boggle.

Bug issue. I love the game, been playing it for years! Love the fast and easy play, swipe to make words, playing with friends and finding players to match with. I do wish if you must have a power up, that it only be extra time or maybe move the board. All the other power ups make it really unfair. It should be based on player skill, not advantage. The original board game has no power ups. There is a bug right now that prevents the daily games from being played. It says it’s waiting for other players to join on Super Score Saturday, and will not move on despite updating the app and restarting my apple phone. Please fix!

What Happened??? Give Me My Stuff Back!. I’ve been playing this game for years under all of its names. Never had issues. The sound randomly disappears sometimes, so I restart my device and that fixes it. (I need the “guy’s” encouragement as I play.) Except for today. When I opened the app after restarting, I was prompted to log back into Facebook, which I did. (And would do 2 more times because I couldn’t believe my eyes.) That’s when I noticed ALL of my coins (18), tickets (3109), and status (level 32) were GONE! GONE! GONE! In addition, all the games I was playing, along with recently finished games, were gone as well. The only thing that didn’t disappear were my super power-ups. I searched for help, but nothing applies, and there is no way to contact these people. (They really need to stop calling it “contact us” because, you know...you can’t.) I am irate. I faithfully sat through the torturous ads, and checked-in every day for coins and tickets all to basically get a giant middle finger from Zenga. Back at ya, guys! Right back at you.

Too many issues. I love Boggle, have been playing since I was a kid. This is actually a great version with many fun features but little things ruin game play. My biggest problem is the incredibly annoying sound effects. Even when they’re off the app cuts off all other sound from the device and you can’t even listen to your own music and I end up playing in silence. Not fun. Power-ups are a big problem too. Real Boggle is a great mind exercise. I like to play without them as they take away from the actual skill of the game. Theyre trying to make money on them and they make game play about power-ups rather than actual ability. They also give the user such an incredible advantage it makes it not fun to get crushed constantly by people using the power-ups. At least give the option to pair up with people not using power-ups. For the record, “Spin” is not a power-up, it’s part of the game, should be a given. Hope Zynga makes it better, I’ll be looking for a better version in the meantime.

Mostly good. As someone who played boggle with my family as a child, I was excited to find it as an app. Overall the game is good but I do have a few things I would enjoy seeing. First off I know some people want to know what power ups other people have used and honestly I’d be okay either way but I would also like is if it would let me know what power ups I used in the previous round just to remember if I needed them or not. Then again that’s part of the game and not a big deal. My main concern as of late however, is that sometimes when an ad comes on, even when my device is on mute, the ad plays super loud. It’s frustrating so I’d love if someone could figure that one out haha

Glitches and more. I was a player of scramble with friends and have switched over. There are some great things that I like on Boggle and there are things that remain extremely frustrating. I love the games, the daily challenges, the daily matches, etc However my gripe is there are many times where my daily challenges don’t load, or other things won’t load either ( even after resetting) I also dread when part of my daily challenges require me to find hard Letters “J, Q, X, and V” not that it’s hard but the letters aren’t always available. I played 50 games one day in order to complete that challenge. The letters weren’t available for most games and the couple they were it was buried in the corner with no way to use it . I would suggest including “K and Y and Z “ for this challenge My other suggestion is change the format of the tournament games. It is frustrating because it takes so long to complete. Perhaps change it so that the points you accumulate in each round go towards your total points to step up, or make a win worth more. It seems like the tournaments have become more difficult to advance now even on the lower levels .

SERIOUS GLITCH w/ FARMVILLE ADD. PLEASEEEEEE fix the FarmVille add glitch. It is completely ruining my boggle experience, and clearly I’m not alone given the same recent comments. I’ve played boggle regularly (daily) for a long time now, tolerating many annoying adds without any issues at all, and would happy give this app a 5-star rating despite the enormous amount of adds. However, the new Farmville add that was introduced a few weeks ago is AWFUL. It interrupts my regular rounds, freezes the app and forces me to quit without seeing the round results. Whats even more frustrating is that the same add glitch occurs in the MIDDLE OF TOURNAMENT ROUNDS, immediately closing me out of a tournament, forcing me to not only lose the tournament, but to also lose coins, tickets, tokens, XP points, and my hard-earned POWER-UP TOKENS!! This is extremely unacceptable and needs to be fixed immediately!!!!

Fun but terribly buggy after update. The game is fun to play and I like being able to challenge family and other players. The commercials all need mute buttons because even if the game sound can be lowered, the commercials can be overly loud. I would rather not have to give my email address to this company to personalize my name and would like that changed. I enjoyed it up until last week when iOS was updated. Since then, my games close out before I can see scores and tournaments close abruptly before they’re done, without replenishing what I spent to play the game. I have to restart the app after almost every game due to these bugs. Fortunately, it starts up pretty fast. If it worked all the time, it would be a lot more fun. Downgraded to 3 stars for the bugs.

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. This is not Boggle. Boggle has a different set of rules (that make the game much more fun). The things that need to change for this to be actual Boggle are: • the point system (3-4 letter words should be 1 point, 5let. = 2pt., 6let. = 3pt., 7let. = 5pt., 8+ letters should be 11 points) • the length of time (should be 3 minutes per round) • no proper nouns, names, or 1 or 2 letter words. • letters on dice should be facing different and random directions (some facing you and some not, this is often to your advantage because your brain stops processing words at a certain point when they all face you) Word Seek is already an app so play that if you want but to call this Boggle is wrong. I gave 3 stars because the app is a little outdated (home screen buttons and such) and the rules thing that I just wrote about. In the app, in a round of playing “Boggle” is well-done technologically (now that would get me 11 points!) I have my phone on mute so when I do or don’t get a word it just vibrates but I’ve also read that people get annoyed at the annoying sounds. No points for “special words” either. Ex: “ark” gets 50 points because it’s hard to find or whatever. It should just be about the length of word, improving your vocabulary as you play!

Crazy bugs. I do not even know where to begin with the amount of bugs and glitches I have every time I open this game. It’s insane. I like this game, but there is virtually something missing every time I open the game lately, from missing letters during a word that I am finding. To the daily goal disappearing and then reappearing after I finish a round. I started to notice the daily streak would be missing a few days that I had completed and would reappear after closing the app. Then I would get a missed points box and sometimes it would have an error message and other times I would get the 5 points. It’s weird. I hope you can fix the game because it is fun. Sometimes those stickers are obnoxious when they shout HEY. I get that I can just turn down the volume, but it’s distracting. 🤷🏻‍♀️Thanks.

Lots of fun but too expensive. Enjoy the game but am clueless how to use certain power ups. When I have used the Vision and Spin it doesn't work. I've tried all avenues available to find out how to use the power ups but can't find what I need. I know what each power up does...just wanted to know if I needed to shake my device to start the power up. NADA. Contacted the company out of frustration but haven't received a response. The "pay to play" seems to be the rule of thumb these days and that's fine...to a degree. But each round you play will come to 3 coins being charged for a 3 round game. I have over 20 games going right now. You do the math. Wish coins were as prolific as TICKETS! I am thinking that's leaning to the greedy side and isn't cool. Love the game but hate the greed of the developers.

Dont spend any money on this game. This game allows people to buy extra time- up to 2 extra mins so while you might be a better player- users of these power ups have 2 more mins to play after your turn is over- while those of us not using them have to just sit there and wait. When there arent enough live players for a full round, the game furnishes cartoon botts to fill inas extra players. Now even when you beat one of these botts- the game throws up a pop up do fast you cant see if you really lost or by how much. I was able to capture with a quick screenshot the game popup telling me I lost (my 50 ticket entry fee) when I had clearly won. I earned the tickets, didnt pay for them but Im willing to bet this happens a lot and isnt a mistake.

Paid for no ad version long ago. Since latest update ads are everywhere. I paid for no ads. Customer service isn’t helpful. I find that completely unacceptable. Nobody has time for ads. No no no! Update: so I finally got someone in customer service to help and ads are now gone. I do enjoy this game. I wish it was a fair playing field so you really knew where you stood. But the fact is you can buy or use power-ups and you won’t know when someone is using them so that won’t ever happen. I just take joy in the fact that when I don’t use them I can still beat people that I know are good. Plus I just like finding words. What’s up with that? Weirdness. As for tournament. UGH! Too much wait time. Who the hell has that time OR wants to sit around waiting.

Riddled with glitches. After playing a heated game with a friend and watching the final tally, I noticed that the score on my last game never registered! I had a great game and knew I had a winning score but it glitched and I scored a 0 and my opponent won the whole game. This hasn’t been the only glitch but was what prompted me to write a review. Other glitches I’ve noticed is how it doesn’t recognizing real words even though I would play that same word a game before. Also, it doesn’t always pick up on my finger movements and I can waste time trying to spell a word over and over again. It’s laggy and skips. Glitches aside, it’s very fun to play with friends. I wish there was a way to turn off playing with strangers. Also, it would be nice to have a solo play option.

What Happened?. I have been playing this game for many years. I enjoy challenging other players, but mostly I am challenging myself. I believe it helps to keep my mind sharp. There has always been the opportunity to buy points to keep playing when you use up your starting points. I never do that. I wait for my points to refill in a couple of hours. As of today, there is an ad I have to sit through before I can play my next game. I can’t tell you how extraordinarily annoying I find that. It looks like Boggle joined up with another game and they want ads. May I suggest you don’t do this after every game played. Try having one or two ads when the player comes onto the site. I might have to stop playing as I have no patience for an ad after every game. I would give Boggle 5 stars but I can’t. You are destroying the experience for me.

Great game, but you MUST MAKE THE FONT BIGGER again!. I've been playing all the versions of this game for over 7 years. It's a fun, well-run game, though I prefer the previous, simpler versions. I'm annoyed by the constant game requests by random people EVERY time I get on to play with my friends. A new game every once in a while is ok, but I get way more game requests than I could ever play. Chat has been much improved in consistency over the years. This latest update is a deal breaker, though! The font is way too small on everything...and to no point as blank space is left all around the game and chat screens. I can't even read what I just typed to a friend in chat, the font is so small. I'm using an iPhone X, so no excuses for screen size. The game play was just impossible due to the tiny squares. Please fix this ASAP or you're going to lose a lot of players! If not for this new update, I'd rate this game a 4+ because it's very fun.

Fun game. I enjoy playing this game both in the head to head matches and the tournaments. I wish there were more options for independent play, other than the daily challenge. It would also be great if we could choose longer times to play independently. I love how you can see the list of potential words, as well as the words of yourself and your opponents, after a head to head round is completed; is there a way to do that after the daily challenge? Sometimes the opponents in both the head to head or the tournaments are way outmatched, it gets discouraging because you know before the round even starts that you’ve lost that coin or ticket. The ads get to be a bit much at times but overall I love this game enough that I play it daily and throw money at it.

Too many technical issues. I️ have not been able to play in any of the daily tournaments for over a week. I️t won’t take my coins to play or if I️t does and I️ play then the screen just comes up stating “0 place of 0 players” and nothing happens. On the main screen I️t just says “waiting for results” but again nothing happens. I️ have had to uninstall and reinstall 6x. I️ wrote to support and even attached a screenshot of the screen but no reply! I️t was my favorite game but the support is terrible. Time to uninstall for good I️ think. Update: support did get back to me and told me to do exactly what the section of the game says to do. I did it all but now I can’t participate in daily tournaments at it. When I hit enter nothing happens! Is anyone else having trouble playing in daily tournaments???

Glitch or intentional change??. What happened to the first power-up being FREE? I've been playing this game for 8 years and the first power-up had always been FREE, the 2nd one cost 1 token and the 3rd one cost 3 tokens. But now that's been flipped and the first one costs 1 token, the 2nd one costs 3 tokens and then comes the FREE power-up. Is this a glitch? Or is this an intentional, unhappy change? Other than that I love playing this game, as each round is just 2 minutes of play. I feel like I'm getting some brain simulation benefit. I used to get annoyed at some of the "words" that are allowed - especially those that are foreign/middle Eastern, that are not known words. But now I'm used to it. I have a couple of people from different places in the country/world that have played this game with me for years. It's been fun!

Classic game, terrible app. I just want to play Boggle... with some of my Friends. So I downloaded Boggle With Friends. There's no way to control the notifications from the app so I had to turn them off completely because of the ridiculous spam notifications I get all day about "power ups" or whatever. It makes me want to use the app less. The menu screens are a cluttered mess, and are slow to update. And there are particularly annoying advertisements all the time - even worse than most other ad-supported games! The ads play at full volume even when my phone is on "silent." I would love a more streamlined experience. Stop spamming me with notifications when nothing is happening, stop distracting from the game with limited-time power ups I don't want to use, stop trying to pair me with random strangers when I never asked for it, stop the frequent and intrusive ads, and just let me play a simple game of Boggle with my friends.

Not Scramble with Friends!!. The only reason I switched to Boggle is because I was basically forced! The graphics are less appealing, much smaller and harder to navigate. The makers of the Scramble with Friends app did themselves and its users a disservice by pushing the switch to Boggle. I have made several friends through the Scramble app, and I could no longer message with them unless I switched either! Nothing about Boggle is better. If you’re new to the game you won’t miss what you didn’t have, but if you’re not...this platform does not stack up in my book! I enjoy the building words challenge and the people I play with, but not like I used to. Color and size of the board needs to be redone!

Love the game but Rotten costumer service. I love the game but by mistake I lost my account with which I had played for several years. I had accumulated thousands of tickets, had lots of rewards, got an infinity amount of awards and a good place on the statistics. When I tried to download it again it automatically sent me to a new account with which I had to start from scratch; brand new account. I lost everything I had in my old account. I’veBeen trying, through Tech Support, to recover my old game and after filling and submitting about 8 separate requests for support in about one month period, I finally get an email telling me to log-out and then log-in with my old credentials. I wrote back saying that when I download the game it goes immediately to the new game and doesn’t give me a log out nor login option. Since thin, four different people (yes, 4) have written back saying the same thing: log out and then log in again. Again and again I tell them that I don’t get that option, that it goes immediately to the new account, to please cancel or delete the new account and activate the old one. After a month of trying I’m about to give up because they are just incapable of solving my issue. Any suggestions???

Repetitive and Spelling Errors. This is the second time I’ve played a Daily Challenge Puzzle, that some of the words they list for you to find for extra points, isn’t even able to be spelled. One was “Cotton” but there was only one T, and today’s it lists “Candy” with no Y. Is this intentional or are the people putting these lists together too busy putting nonsense words in the puzzles that they forget the main theme of daily? It seems like it’s a repeating list of about 60 words, and the rest are acronyms, abbreviations, or some other word I’ve never heard of, then looked up, and still found to be utterly ridiculous. I loved this game for the first week, and am becoming more and more bored and irritated by it. I find I spend most of my two minutes throwing random letters together to find some crazy non-English word. Get it together.

Word database is not the same as WWF2. I've been playing the now defunct "Scramble With Friends" for years and recently switched to Boggle, and I love it! I do have two big issues with the game, though: 1) There are words accepted by "Words With Friends 2" that are not accepted in this game. I thought (I assumed, but I could definitely be wrong!) these had the same word database? Please update this one to have the same database as WWF2 (if it's supposed to use the same database). I'm constantly trying to play words in this game that I've played or have seen my opponents play in WWF2 and the game doesn't accept them! 2) This is a glitch, so please actually fix this: When I complete all the daily quests and collect the reward it gives me, some time later I get a notification saying "😳Ooops you forgot to collect your quest points" even though I did. Please fix this as it's getting annoying!

Love this game!!! Don't have to spend money to play!!!😍. I'm a big puzzle gamer, and this one is one of my favorites. Word games keep your brain sharp, but this game works your brain out in many different ways. I'm looking forward to where they take this game, but I'm also very happy with the way it is now. One last thing....I love that they do not force you to spend money on this game in order to play it. The options are there, of course, but they have a way to win power-ups without spending money at all. It is one of the reasons why I chose this game above all of the others. It's a fair way of not cutting out potential players on a budget. I love that, and will always stay loyal to this game for that reason above any others. Way to go, Boggel Creators!!! Keep up the great work!!!

Ads. New problem: I have played, despite long ads, for many years but today might be the last. New ad extremely offensive! Meant to scare American public… if their prediction not true, should be put in jail! Zynga… do you even view these ads? Or is it just $$$$? This is a real example of the crap the internet is currently using to feed fake news and fear into the American people! Shame on you! Destroying your game for $$$. Past comment: Core game is fun. Tournament games are strange, not sure anyone can type that fast so must be paying for a lot of extra minutes... not fun. Biggest problem is the ads... they are getting ridiculously long and sometimes hard to get out of.

Core game satisfying- infrastructure not so much. What’s the deal with having all the sound options turned completely off; but when it comes time for one of your ads to play it plays full volume? This has led to some pretty embarrassing moments! I appreciate the ability to earn coins; however they come in so slowly and get used up fast if you play often! There have even been times I had to close the app because I no longer had coins to play... how is that for an app developer trying to turn off your appetite to play their game? I understand this app is ad supported, but please make it so the ads respect our choice to turn off the sound. We shouldn’t have to remember to manually turn sound off on our phone when the settings are already set up to be silent.

Game is fun...Limiting fun but enough. Love this app adaptation of the game Boggle. Lots and lots of variety versions so anyone can find a style they like. I miss the “learning” aspect that a Boggle App once had in which you could view all possible word finds and even get definitions after you played the board. Good vocabulary booster when you can actually see all possibilities. I’m a purist so straight head-to-head Boggle is my fav. Unfortunately you have to use the quirky power ups to compete enough to earn coins to play multiple games. Wish app had a ticket to coin exchange so I can cash in easier-to-accumulate tickets for coins. Regardless of the limiting play factor it’s worth exercising your brain to play. Plus, I guess it’s a good way to limit your screen time and actually put device down to interact in real world!

Unable to play tournaments. Horrible update! I join a tournament and am the only one. After the timer counts down to zero and the “Tournament is about to begin” appears, not even the default Boogle avatar players appear - just stuck in perpetuity. Waited minutes to see if there was a lag. Got tired of waiting for so long and resigned. Tried this in both Classic and Classic Bonus multiple times with the same result. How can you release a version update that creates more performance bugs than fixes then? Another example of developers pushing things down without performing due diligence or beta testing prior to deployment. And yes, I am using the latest iOS on my iPhone! Hopefully other players have noticed this and sharing feedback. Kindly make an effort to fix this issue so we can play the tournaments and any other bugs people identified with the recent update.

Game is fun but app is buggy. The game of Boggle itself is fun and engaging, but bugs in the app detract from the experience. For instance, whenever I play against the Coach, the app freezes in-between each of the 3 rounds and becomes totally unresponsive. The only way to continue with my game is to completely close the app and then restart it. It’s so inconvenient! Also, there are too many ads in the free version of the app. During many of the ads, if you click the “Close Ad” icon or “X” to exit the ad, it actually takes you to the webpage of the product or Apple Store page for the app being advertised. It’s a total bait-and-switch. If the developer of this Boggle app could fix these issues, it would be a great game.

Always a problem. I love this game, and it is the one thing I do daily. I constantly have problems with the app shutting down on me, yet still deducting my coins for a game I never played. I enjoy the new challenges daily (free power up Friday, etc), but there are lots of problems getting them to load correctly. Currently mine still shows that it is waiting for results from Friday, therefore not allowing me to do anything else. It is enjoyable, but would be so much better without these flaws. Edit #1 (July 18, 2018) What is this latest update?? Why is everything suddenly so small on my screen. I mean it has shrunk down to half of the size of my screen. This is ridiculous. Still tons of bugs, app crashes and you lose your tokens for the game you were playing when the crash occurs.
