Good... few suggested improvements. I want to be clear that I’m rating the app and not the store. I love the store and the employees at the FD where I shop. I like the app. The digital coupons are a great way to save money. The in store scanner is a great way to make sure you are getting the correct product. What I don’t like... the in store scanner does not show price so I don’t always know what something will cost. That would be a huge improvement I’d also love to see a function to get price information when I’m not in the store. I’m on a budget as most people are and this goes a long way to help plan a shopping trip. It also could tip the scales if I’m torn between buying an item at Family Dollar or a competitor.

Please add prices and possibly a list feature. I love shopping at family dollar! Especially using the digital coupons , just about everything about this app is perfect except for the fact it doesn’t tell you your item price when you scan an item! I throughly enjoy the item qualified or not feature, but adding prices to scan while we are in there for items that we just want an not couponing for would be AMAZING!! Honestly I would probably buy so much more if I didn’t have to wonder what prices were what when associates don’t always enjoy doing price checks, it’s a hassle all around and maybe even a “list” feature so I can select my items and know a round about price for them before coming in.. either way the suggested would definitely make this app a 5star, but I still love fd with the three I gave!

Not always accurate. I really like shopping at Family Dollar but almost every time I shop there, there’s a problem with getting all the discounts. For example, I went there 2 weeks ago and bought, toothpaste, candles, and multiple other things that were on sale, but when I got to the register, I was over charged. I had to stand there with this girl who had no clue to what she was doing, by then the line was almost to the back of the store. So, finally the supervisor came and did whatever for me To supposedly get my discounts. Then when I got home, I was charged $2.50 for $1.00 toothpaste, over charged $2.00 for “2 for $5” candles and some other stuff too. All that said, make sure you check your app before you leave because they’re making a killing off over charging us. Family Dollar! Do Better!

App review. I coupon and have found that family dollars app isn’t as easy to find the correct products linked to the coupon. It would be much easier if you listed the items that are eligible for that coupon under. Once you click on the coupon it shows you the amount of the product and what all you can get. That makes it so much easier to make a list to have a better number when we get to the counter. Dollar general and HEB both have that option it makes couponing so much easier. Adding an option to make a list adding and subtracting your total from your coupon would also be amazing !

Inconsistent & jips your coupon amounts. I’m only giving 2 stars due to the fact that the digital coupon that I clipped on the app was not given to me at full face value when I purchased the required quantity of the items listed on the coupon. For example, I had $1 off coupon on canned cat food, but only received $.60 off when I checked out...which basically was just a free can of cat food. The cashier at the store could do nothing to correct it or take the additional amount off of my total because it was a digital coupon downloaded on the app. Had I known that, I would have shopped somewhere else that the cat food was a lot cheaper by the can on a daily basis & saved more than just $.60 on the quantity that I purchased. Not a reliable app & very inconsistent in communication between the app & actual in store purchases when utilized for coupons!

Family dollar feed back. The Family dollar in Adairsville Ga. is amazing! Those ladies are wonderful, they are always willing to go out of their way to help you find things and they ALWAYS have a kind word to say!!! That is why I will drive 35-40 min out of my way and drive past the family dollar in my own town to go there. However, the family dollar in Cartersville has the rudest staff of people I have ever encountered. And the worst one is the person you hired to represent your company. Beth and I have had several encounters that have been less than civil!! She has accused me directly in front of other customers of try to return items that did not belong to your store, when in fact I had proof of my purchase, but I did grab the wrong item out of my car, I just needed to switch them and she would have seen my mistake and HERS! But instead she was yelling and making a seen and told me and my 5yr old child that we”better NEVER” come back in her store and she was calling ALL the stores around the area to warn them about me. This is not the only bad incident or encounter we have had with her, I have called and emailed your corporate more than once and NEVER once did I get a response. So now if there is anything I really want or need from your store I will drive to the Adairsville store.

Newbie at Family 👪 Dollar/Now a committed Family Dollar shopper. I have to admit, I always was skeptical on shopping at the FD store, for fear of items being very cheap quality for the price you were paying. Well, let me put your minds at ease.....they carry a lot more brands and a lot more supplies than thev”other” stores and their brands are very good indeed, also!! I was pleasantly surprised. The way they have you log into your Smart phones to use their coupons is a pretty clever idea, and saves you a ton of money! The lady at the cashier set mine up for me as I was checking out, so I'm ready to save already about $8-$10 and I'm not gotten thru all the on line coupons yet❗️ How about that❗️ Have I convinced you to at least try them at least once😁 I think you will be like I was.... Very happy I walked through the doors of Our Family Dollar.....Thank you Family Dollar for making a store for thebudget minded economy to shop and get good quality items without breaking the piggy bank😍

APSOLUTLY LIVE THIS APP!!!!. I save at least 25 dollars in in money if not more every time I buy my household cleaning supplies with this app most of the time the coupons are 2 dollars each in savings so I get my favorite laundry supplies for very very cheap !! 😀 this app is so very much worth having for those who need to save money on quality top end house hold cleaning products and every thing else like huggies diapers and brand name soaps, shampoos, facial products !!! I save on everything I need for my home!!!!!😀😀 I am very very pleased and ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS APP I have saved hundreds in the last few months!!!!!

Could Be Better!!!. I just used this app for the first time and it was easy enough. I got confused about how to add the coupons but I managed to figure it out. The one thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t have an option to delete coupons if you decide not to use them. For example, I added a few coupons so that I could compare the prices and now I can’t delete the ones I decided not to use. Also, it would be great if they added a feature that we could scan the items ourselves and then scan the coupons and check out before we get to the registers. Just faster and more efficient in my opinion. Otherwise great app!!! I intend on utilizing more often.

Fantastic service. The Family Dollar Store in Webster Springs ,WV is a fantastic place to shop. Vickie the store manager, is always so polite and is willing to help find whatever we may be looking for. It is a wonderful place to find great deals. I wish you all would also put a Dollar Tree Store in Webster Springs also. We have to travel an hour to get to the closest one. I would also like to give a BIG shoutout to the ladies at the Grafton,WV store. I was helped by Tammy and even though she was very busy she took the time to help us find what we wanted and treated us in a very Friendly manner,as if she really cared. Although I don’t get to Grafton often, I make it a point to stop in at the Dollar Tree, and shop. Thank you ladies for your friendly and very courteous service especially Tammy Eads. I wish all stores were as wonderful as this one Thank you so very much, Bus and Rhonda Moffatt

Good savings!. The Family Dollar app is user friendly. You select the coupons you want to use and then you ‘clip’ them. When you get to the register type in your phone number and select enter. The discount is immediately applied. Family Dollar is already giving you savings with some of the name brand items in their store. The app gives you an additional bit of saVings. I use at least 1-4 coupons each week. The coupons I submit are items that my family use..... so it works out.

Nice shopping experience. The store on Castor Ave. is clean and quiet. I know exactly where to go to get what I need. They have a little bit of everything you need even a frozen food section. There’s always a manager on site and I really like that. The best part is the app…those are real savings not just 25 or 50 cents off of products. I definitely purchase all my toiletries and laundry products here. I’ve been shopping here for a few years now and will continue to do so.

App is great most of the time. Don’t know if this is a problem with the app or an issue with the coupon system. I use the $5 off on $25 frequently, however, a few of times in recent weeks, Family Dollar notifies me via email or app notifications that the $5 off $25 coupon is available, but when I go to the app it either isn’t there, or like this week, it was there but clicking on it results in failure to clip coupon. Then today, Saturday. 11-26, it disappeared completely. I did try and clip a different coupon that was successful, and there was about 6 coupons automatically clipped that I didn’t ask for. If you don’t want to offer the $5 off $25 for that Saturday, then don’t offer it and then yank it away. Makes you look ridiculous. If you offer that coupon, I will shop with you that Saturday. I also have a Dollar General in my small town and I will go there instead since they offer that same kind of offer when you don’t.

Outstanding Store & App. I love the app!! I’ve saved almost $200 by using the app!! I’ve known some of the employees at my local store for years & everyone is always super friendly & helpful. I shop at my local store weekly. The electronic coupons have saved me so much that I’m able to buy some extra items now! I look forward to my weekly ad & coupons now. My local store always has plenty of on sale items in stock, they are the only store in my town that had toilet paper during the COVID-19 crisis! Thank you for always having much needed items in stock, professional & happy employees & a clean store💕it very much appreciated 🥰

Love everything except one tinyyy thing.. I absolutely love this app. And I love family dollar. I have a big family so I save money on a lot of different things from baby items, to household cleaning supplies to even cute little gifts... The little spin slot machine thing is pretty cool and a nice touch. The scanner is a nice touch. Now... the only thing I don’t like is the search bar. Can you guys please make it more user friendly? Like, if I want deodorant or toilet paper... why can’t I just type “toilet paper” or “deodorant” and all the relevant coupons pop up. I don’t like that you have to type in the BRAND NAME. I’m a mom on a budget, a lot of times I don’t focus on brand names, I just want the deal! I feel like sometimes I miss out of a lot of good coupons because I can’t search the app for the actual product name instead of brand name. Plus who has time to search through all of your great coupons anyway. I feel like with that change, I’d be able to shop more efficiently. Until then, I’ll keep using the scanner feature.

Great app but.... I do like this app, it’s easy to use and to match up coupons to the products they will apply to. The only disappointment is in-store pricing. Until you are in the store looking at the listed price there is no way to find the price of an item. Not even on the Family Dollar website can you see the price of an item unless it is listed on the ad. This has prevented me from going to this store more often and using the $5 off $25 coupon. It would be much more beneficial to see the price and plan my shopping trips ahead of time. Having to wonder around the store and hope the prices are correct at the register makes the app only useful to see if coupons are available. It would be great if I could price match to other stores before venturing out on my shopping trips.

4 stars only because the location is Horrendous!!🫣. I would have given Family Dollar 5 stars but the location nearest to me is AWFUL, actually that’s a compliment. It’s so ran down and has been for going on 20 years now. The store has had ZERO updates & no renovations & is SUPER tiny. I understand they don’t own the building but after 20+ years in that location, don’t you think it’s time for them to get a newer, BIGGER location? There’s options for them in this neighborhood if they were interested. The store has even had to close in the past from being over ran with rats.. yes I said RATS! The grocery store they were connected too went out of business and left food behind & it became infested with rats. With nothing but a wall between them, of course they made there to FD as well. So not their fault at all! Now with all that said, they stay stocked the best they can when literally the whole store is only a couple hundred sq ft. They have a lot of variety and ALWAYS have what I’m looking for, when the other stores in the area just don’t. It helps a lot that the staff is friendly as well, I know they’re doing the best they can & I appreciate them for that!

Wish It Had A Shopping List. I enjoy using the Family Dollar app, but when I plan my shopping trip, it would be nice if I could create a shopping list in the app, and use it when I shop. Right now, I have to use pencil and paper to write down the items listed in the ad that I want to purchase, and use that while I shop. Having a shopping list built into the app would make shopping, finding items and using coupons a lot easier, because I don’t have to juggle my phone and the shopping list. The addition of an in-app shopping list, including the estimated total of my purchase would add two more stars to this review. Thanks!

Love the family dollar store app is helpful. Been shopping their for many years it’s like a mini Walmart or as I call it anxiety mart ha ha ! The prices are much better at family dollar store and I don’t have to deal with long lines! I can run in and out the family dollar store in Port Jefferson sta . NY is loaded the manager Linda bought lots of more shelfs in utilizing the waisted space she set the store up there’s many more items and do not have to thank God Walmart anymore ! Great store prices are great deals and I don’t know how they afford to run sales? But they do ! A very happy shopper happy holiday’s

Need produce!. The store is the only store close by my house, (I live in a rural area), so this is a convenient spot for me to get things that I need. However, usually the things I need the most frequently are fresh produce (since they go bad quickly). The items that Dollar General sells are all canned and shelf items- things that last a long time. So I don’t usually have a need to come here. Produce items are the items I have to buy frequently, and if I’m going to drive all the way into town to buy produce, then I will buy all my other groceries there at the same place. If Dollar General starts selling produce, I will go there all the time, and it will be my main place to buy groceries. But for now, I hardly ever go there.

Family Dollar. I love shopping at Family Dollar most people f the stores are well set up and clean but some like Pemberton NJ is always dirty trash over flowing on side walks parking area and grass inside reflects from out side boxes every where shelves a mess and floor if you can find a place to walk without tripping HAZARD but the people are so friendly prices are never what the shelf says watch your receipt I was over charged for almost everything I bought by .75 to .50 cent on each item shelf price is not what they charge at register watch your items as they flow through ringing you’ll see

Missing Important Features. The app should include an inventory locator for items showing as “Not Available At This Store.” There should be an option to see which stores do have the searched item. Also, I’ve physically been in stores scanning an item with my phone to confirm deals/coupon eligibility and the results show that the item isn’t available/sold at the store that I’m in, even though I’m in the store with the item in my hand! This happens regularly. So it seems a connection to live inventory definitely needs work! Also, after a coupon has been redeemed, it should no longer be visible with the active coupons. It’s confusing.

Family dollar. The app has been ok so far however my local store needs to get it together. I went in today ready to spend my coupons I wanted to get some right guard deodorant but of course all they had we the 2 packs and even though the app said it would work with my coupon the store employee wouldn’t let me use it because it would make the item free. I also wanted to get the bic razors the had them on sale for $2.50 I had a $3 off any 1 bic razor when the cashier ran it up it was coming up $3.50 so after about a 15 minute debate with this woman I was finally able to get my razors for an out of pocket cost of .18 she had to fix the price from $3.50 to $2.50 and she still made rude comments. I will not be going back to my local family dollar. If I find a good deal I may travel to another family dollar location but I think I will stick with Walgreens for the most part there coupons and employees are awesome and always make me feel welcomed.

Vicki the stare down clerk. I’m not really happy with the customer service that Vicki ( cashier) gives to many of family dollar/ dollar tree’s customers. It’s been many occasions where I have came into the store and She simply refuses to serve me . I understand that you have the right to refuse service to unruly people and or rude customers, but just not want to service a person for no apparent reason feels somewhat WRONG. The last time she did service me was over 4 months ago and she sneezed into her hands and of course I said bless you , but when she went to grab my merchandise I asked her kindly to use a bit of hand sanitizer and she got very belligerent about it and dropped my change on the counter and had an odd stare down with me . I left my change on the counter and attempted to report her to the store manager, which quite frankly went into one ear and out of the other. I feel a bit awkward coming to this store now knowing that she always calls someone else up to service me . Even if it’s a line she rings the bell and makes other customers wait . I come to this location because it’s convenient for myself. I shouldn’t have to feel embarrassed or anything when spending my money in the family dollar location. She’s an employee not the owner. I’ve asked for corporates number many times and they refused.

MY REVIEW. I always have traded with Family Dollar Stores. Always greeted nicely by their employees except for one sour incident at Supply, NC Family Dollar which I wrote to the home office about the day it happened. I never heard or received a reply back regarding my complaint. But I still trade with Family Dollar Stores wherever we may go to. They always have plenty of stock on hand & great prices. Now they’ve incorporated the clip coupon system where you can save even more money. After all, I’m from the town of Rockingham, NC home of Mr. Leon Levine the founder of Family Dollar Stores.

Review of my local store. Love my Family Dollar! It keeps me from having to go to Walmart!! HOWEVER! On my last visit, an employee was helping me with my phone and the coupons (which is too convoluted), which is apparently against the rules, and the Manager REAMED HER OUT BEHIND THE REGISTER right in Front of me and everybody else that was in line!!! She carried on so that I finally spoke up to first explain and then to apologize that it was my fault, not once but twice, and the Manager basically told me to shut up and back off. I was not impressed with the manager, especially since she had previously done the VERY SAME THING WITH ME IN THE PAST!!!

Recent update is glitchy and lags. Pulled up this app today to load coupons and found that I needed to sign in. Attempted to sign in, kept getting error messages, updated my password, finally got logged in, get into the app, and found that it is slow and glitchy with random error messages popping up. My goal was to load coupons. So, I go to the coupons and start clipping but it lags. There were 190 available coupons and when you clip a coupon, it takes 18 seconds to load and you cannot clip another coupon until that coupon loads. Therefore, it would take nearly an hour (57 minutes) if I were to load all 190 coupons when it used to take less than a second to load a coupon. Please fix this. Thank you.

Mrs. Robinson. I have to say I love FD, I enjoy shopping there every month looking for new and exciting items. I love the clothing and being a senior I have a limited budget so getting clothing from there that is cute and up to date is important to me. I have gotten lamps, bedding, pictures along with laundry and personal items the freezer foods are great also, the manager is polite and very informative about the store, now I would like to see more clothing in all areas ladies men children (for school age kids). Again customer service is the best and I always enjoy shopping there, also it should be two employees on staff in the time we live in two people need to be present in store for safety. Again thanks for having this store around ( Telegraph and Joy Rd)

The app. I wish u cld scan an item & find out the price instead of jus seeing if it has a coupon that attaches. Sometimes there r items in the wrong place or on clearance & it wld b nice to b able to scan that item & find out the price. I also think that the 5/25 shld come off B4 other coupons like at the Dollar General!!!! U can use the 5/25 then the other coupons u have. I like when the receipt has the 5/25 coupon on the bottom! Thanks for asking if I had any feedback, I been wanting to tell someone about that scanning idea I got😉😊

Family dollar review. Family dollar is my store of choice especially in Tilton, Illinois. The store is always clean, stocked and employees are always alert when you enter the store. They greet you and ask if you need help. You never have to wait at the register for a cashier to check out . There are many items to choose from for gifts, holidays, household, etc. I have only found a few items they’ve stopped carrying and was disappointed but purchased them at Meijer. I’ve shopped at many different dollar stores but family dollar is always where I end up at the end of the day.

Smart Coupons. I live the idea of smart coupons and I really love the family dollar however their coupons are good for like 2 months. St times a person forgets using a coupon and it really messes up your budget ( or the cashier waste a lot of time taking it off). I really wish if a coupon was not available to your account then it would not show on the account. Like maybe when you redeemed a coupon that’s not reusable it would disappear or something letting you know it is no longer available

Customer service. I have a local family dollar store that I frequent basically 23 times a month. One time I had issues with my coupons and it didn’t go through and I questioned it. At that time, there was no manager that approached me to try to correct my five dollar discount and the cashier was really not interested in helping me at all. I thought about not going to that store anymore, and honestly I continue to go there because it is like3 1/2 blocks from my home. I enjoyed the bargains I get a Family Dollar, and hopefully the cashiers managers at the store will change the attitude a little and maybe become more customer service oriented.

Coupons. I love this app and I do save but sometimes my coupons do not go through I always make sure I get the product it says and nothing more but then I get up to the register and my coupons don’t go through I feel that you need to fix that problem I live in Camp Wood I am always at the family dollar and I really truly love going there they always great me and always very polite I used to work with the company and loved working for the company but I had some health problems and had to leave so my comment is we really need to work on the coupon situationBecause a expect my savings when I go up to the register and find out I can’t even say because the coupon is down please put some effort in fixing that problem

Sweepstake Scam. While I don’t have an issue with the in-store coupons, they work well. My issue is with the receipt that tells you to go to the website to have a chance to win a prize. I don’t believe you actually win a prize because putting in a difficult. First you don’t know which number is correct because I put in every number on the receipt but nothing works. When I spoke with a FD associate she was not able to give me any guidance, I tried to speak with management to no avail. The whole process was very frustrating to the point that I just gave up trying. I believe that is exactly the way Family Dollar designed it to work.

Store Manager. One day the store manager didn’t know how to work the app in a iPhone. Lost the clipping and told me she couldn’t do anything about it. She stated the customers are never right. She stated she didn’t care who I called she wasn’t going to honor the mistake she made. So with that being said. I have to drive additional 25 mins to go to the store I have always went to since I was 4. I’m very disappointed in the store in Opelika Alabama. The manager name is Fre. She also called her “General Manager” Stacy (I think) that was locates in church to verify that customers are not right and family dollar or any can’t correct the issue. I’ve been in customer service since I were 15 and never have I told an customer their wrong. I was saddened at the training this Manager showed. She told me disrespectful remarks. Please look into this. I rated it an 2 for the customer service not the app or store. Only for the management at the store.

Saves some. AT FIRST, I had given this app 5 stars. However, now I am noticing issues for example I scanned every arm and hammer liquid detergent the store had to see if it would match my coupon and it said t wasn’t compatible. I tried every size and scent and IT WOULD NOT WORK. I double checked everything looked through all fine print and it wouldn’t work. The store is often misleading about what it has on coupon sale. It says this week we could get gain dryer sheets for a final price of 95 cents with app coupon so I go and look and there is no coupon for that but it’s advertised in the flyer for this week. I may just have to go back to Walmart if this keeps up. I loved the app but if I’m not saving money anymore there is no point. Sorry Family Dollar, DO BETTER PLEASE!!!! OLD REVIEW This is a great app but prices in the store are so high it basically just makes the items the same prices as other stores. Sometimes they’re still more but it’s convenient if you don’t want to enter Walmart. I have never had any problems with the app as far as it working. There is even a scan button to make sure a certain coupon will work in the store. Super easy to use the app.

Review - Family Dollar- is the Best. I shop at 3 different Family Dollar stores, this determines which one I am closer to when I’m on the road. I love Shopping at Family Dollar for many reasons. Mainly because of the low competitive prices plus’s the stores are always maintained and well stocked. Very seldom are they ever sold out of what I’m looking for, and if by chance they are then they will have more on the very next truck shipment. Another big plus you are always graciously greeted when you walk in. Family Dollar always have the best workers hired that are very friendly, very knowledgeable of where all products are located and very helpful in every way. Your not just a number to them it’s like the old family stores when people cared more to make sure you had a wonderful time spending money in their stores. Maybe that’s why the Stores are called Family Dollar, great family oriented business and a bargain for the hard earned Dollar. “Family Dollar” What a Great Name! Another update, another screw up. For every update the app just gets worse to use and less user friendly. Now if I try to clip digital coupons the app clips the coupon BELOW the one I wanted. Not only is this incredibly angering because the scale of the app is set to large so I assumed the app wasn’t working at all (the clip coupon button wouldn’t change colors or acknowledge that it had been saved) until I scrolled so that the next coupon was also showing and I saw what was happening; but this also means that I cannot possibly clip ALL coupons. I can’t clip the first coupon, ever, because there is nothing preceding it. Devs, I just want to clip my coupons to save money on the overpriced products in my small town store. I just want the app to work properly like it should.

Better, but not great!. If I was to compare this app to say Dollar General it’s nowhere near where it needs to be. The totals in your cart don’t add it up for you so when you are planning a Saturday trip it makes it annoying to have to exit out of the app a million times to use my calculator to add everything up and subtract coupons. Makes it way more complicated than it needs to be. Also when it comes to the options from in store vs the options in the app it gives you is not accurate whatsoever. This being said it makes my trip to the store for Saturday more annoying because I have to type out an extra item. For example: I want to add 2 febreze sprays to my list but it won’t let me do a quantity of two so I therefore have to type out “febreze” and try to remember that I have a coupon trying to attach to those items because that also doesn’t not show in the cart or “list” Makes it really annoying and frankly want to exit the app all together and just go back to an easier navigating site like DG to not have all of this fuss.. Almost there. But not quite..

Manager Excellent customer service. I love the Family Dollar in Whitman Ma. The manager Thelma is amazing ( I wasn’t sure how to spell her name) regardless of spelling she’s always there to help you. Not once have I gone in and she’s never not smiled said hello always asks if I need help. Even when she is slammed with inventory and customers is always pleasant and sooooo helpful!!!! For a while there were a couple of bad/rude employees and I brought to her attention and she could not apologize enough and I wasn’t looking for apology I just to make her aware. Needless to say those employees are not there any more. Family Dollar is VERY LUCKY TO HAVE A MANAGER OF HER CALIBER!!! She’s the reason I continue to shop there and gave 5 stars.

Needs improvement.. I got the app and it nice but it doesn’t let me search for items in their store it just basically a coupon app where is tells you wants on sale. I have the dollar general dollar and I can search for any item, example if I need cat food. I type in cat food it gives me all the brands they cover and then under each brand of a coupon Exists it’s attached to that selection so you don’t have to search the entire list of coupons. If you can fix this problem I would change my ratings to 5 start. But unfortunately this app doesn’t help me because I just don’t have the time to sit and look through every coupon for the things I need. Thanks for the app I hope you can change it. Will be deleting it for now because I can’t use it.

Worst customer service and management. I love shopping at family dollar but the location I went to today always has the worst customer service ever the employees are always on their personal phones talking about their personal situations no one is ever working doing whatever they want. I went in and had some coupons which the worker said he applied to my purchases when I loaded up my car and looked at the receipt I noticed he did not so I went back in to talk to the guy and he had no clue what I was talking about there was another employee who was super nice trying to explain to him on how to do everything and he paid no mind and didn’t care and told the manager to come take a look the manager did not care he was standing to the side on his cell phone talking about personal business and just told the guy I had to go get everything from my car and return it because they couldn’t give me the discount from the coupons and walked away continuing his conversation on the phone I told them to return my items and I was no longer interested in giving them my business or money anymore. I work in retail as well and know we have to do anything it takes to resolve a issue and not be on personal calls during working hours especially as a manager. This is the worst experience I’ve had anywhere

Decent App but Actual Store not as good. Just left the Ayer Family Dollar Store and our visit was very disappointing. The whole store is in complete disarray with the wrong prices and discounts displayed. For an example there were 40% off bathroom products signs all throughout the store. They didn’t honor any of the price’s, stating that the bathroom products were not on sale. Also a HUGE slogan of theirs is $5 off $25 which was showing in the store along with the app. They would not honor that discount either saying that they haven’t had that deal in a long time and it was only for about a week or so. I don’t believe that because it’s still on the app. They won’t scan any barcodes on the Family Dollar App saying that’s what they’re told not to do so. Overall poor attitudes bad customer service and and very very poor customer service remedies. I love this chain of stores but I’m very disappointed in that particular location at the moment.

App is a work in progress.. Positives are: Great to have your savings barcode to scan and a list of clipped coupons in “wallet” button. It’s nice and easy using coupons. They automatically come off total if previously scanned. The digital flyer is great to brows if you didn’t get one in the mail, It’s fairly easy to navigate searching for items or browsing. It’s great after clipping coupon I can scan items and indicates if product applies to specific coupon. Mostly* ** My main con The reason for 2.5 stars and something that seriously needs worked, the scan button is horrible. When I have been in person, in store, I e scanned the item to see price. No price comes up and every item I physically scanned said “not available in-store!!” All item seam to not be in the app. Myself and friends/family have shopped at family dollar alot more that I thought and generally love the products I buy. I’ve never had to return anything so I am not familiar with return policies.

How is store open?. LOVE THE FD APP👍 Unfortunately I may have no use for it soon. I understand good help is hard to find. However, the store in Pittsfield, MA makes that statement more true than its ever been. If you’re lucky you may find what you’re looking for in a box in the aisle because the shelves are pretty bare leaving only the generic items that no one buys. The boxes of shipment around the store are never ending. I don’t understand why this keeps happening because it does. I love Family Dollar and get my taxables for the month at this store so I’ve seen it at its worst, improve with new management, go downhill again, and here we are back at its worst! You should bring a trained team in to get this store in shape, train the proper employees the correct way and give this store a chance it so needs and deserves. It just can’t seem to get caught up.

App Help. I cannot get this app to let me log in. I have tried everything using the password I know to be correct. I have tried deleting the app and redownloading. Nothing. I have tried resigning in and creating a new account. It tells me there is an account already existing with my email so I tried a different email. Nothing. It also says my password doesn’t meet the requirements and I know it does. I have tried everything multiple times. I even emailed customer service and I was told to log in with the new dollar tree and family dollar app. I can’t even find a different app available. When I asked which app, no one ever replied. There is a major bug somewhere at least with my app and information. Nothing works.

Good app. I’m a frequent shopper at FD and I love a good deal. This app helps to clip my coupons and view the ad to come up with good deals for myself and my family members. I love that you can scan product in the store to make sure the coupon works for that product. My only suggestion is that you all consider a price checker in app because my deals are thrown off sometimes if something is on clearance and I don’t know because I couldn’t check the price and it wasn’t marked before making my purchase. A lot of stores have it so that you can scan the barcodes and see the price of each item which is super convenient because you kinda already know your total.

New app scan tool is awful. I only shop at family dollar for convenience of the location being near my home and I regularly used the scan tool to confirm mark off prices because my store has slackers, who don’t care about their job, barely do any work and will lie and even scam you if you aren’t able to prove they did it. The new scan tool doesn’t show the mark off prices like the last one did…. Definitely weird and gives that corporate is in cahoots with their ghetto employees who need training and restructuring. I scanned 4th of July glow sticks that were marked down to 1 cents and prepared to throw my kids a big glow in the dark party… when I got to the register, the cashier decided she was not going to sell them to me at 1 cents despite them ringing up as such and started scanning random items near her register. My calculated balance of $17 total which was a mix of about 22 glow sticks socks and underwear for my children was $50 plus and I was asking her why and she had an attitude…. And tried to make me the problem. So I required her to refund me, and of course she had trouble getting to the total since over half the items on my receipt were not even items I purchased. What she did was entirely illegal. The only way I have to prove it that day was the app scan tool which now is not accurate at all.

Tuttle Family Dollar. Our Tuttle Family Dollar is probably the most friendly store you can visit. You ask what makes it that way ? We have the friendliest store employee you can have in the chain of stores and his name would be ,Byron Hall. He has a jolly “ hello welcome to Friendly Dollar “ and when you leave he says have a Blessed Day. He’s off on Thursday to take his Auntie from Okc to Tulsa to get her chemo therapy. If I owned a business I would love for Byron to be employed. I know we have the same last name, but we are not related.

Great store with Good bargains!. This is the first Family Dollar that I went to and now it’s my 1st to go to store for my laundry and other good deals and the digital coupons. You get a bargain when coupon here. Customers service Lisa Armbruster went out of her way to check in the back for some tide and gain that was not the shelf due to the sale price, well she bring out this whole cart ready for stock and start going through the cart finding what I need. If it was Walmart I wouldn’t have got the same service. Friendly service love this store!

The family dollar is sloppy dirty no order the managers are lazy store is kept very sloppy I do not shop there I shop on 114 th street and Rockaway beach blvd in the Rockaway’s, the store I am talking about the family Dollar on Beach 84 th Street and Rockaway Beach Blvd the Manager White Women has no customer service skills I had to much stuff and asked her could she get me a basket she look right at me turned around and kept going another worker helped me and got me a basket,she is a rude as rude can get always talking loud the shoppers complain about her while we on line I am sorry because I was a great manager at Homedepot so I no what a manager job details

I Love Family Dollar. I come here bi-weekly to purchase my cleaning supplies, laundry needs, & Miscellaneous things for my household.. There prices are fairly reasonable in comparison with Walmart there actually cheaper on some items. I love the fact that I can walk straight in & don’t have to search for a parking spot. My shopping experience is fast & I get to use my coupons & save money on already reasonable Name Brand Products & the Flossmoor Customer Service is Great!! I 😍😍😍 this store!

Scanning items no longer show coupons. I work for Family Dollar and I’ve been noticing a lot of customers having issues with the app. In the past you could use the barcode scanner to see if an item has a coupon which you could clip from there. But I have noticed that coupons are no longer showing after scanning an item. You have to use the search bar or scroll through all the coupons in order to find them and clip them

Horrible app. I placed an on line order and before I placed it I tried to change my address… I changed it and the order is going to the wrong address!!!!! There is no way to contact anyone in customer service!!!! There should be a way to contact customer service. Now I have to figure out how I’m going to get my order 😡😡😡 You want the business and the money but you don’t want to take care of you customers. If I get my order from the wrong address it will be the last time I order from you….

Clipped coupons don’t always work. I clip my coupons every week, shop on Saturdays, choose the right products, and enter my phone number at the register. You would think that my discounts would automatically pop up. They don’t! I have to go back and ask for the discounts, which requires emptying my bags and starting all over again. The last time this happened, I found out that I almost missed $6.00 in savings!! This is very frustrating. Sometimes I forget to check and once I get home realize that FamilyDollar ripped me off again. I don’t blame the store clerks for these mistakes, as I believe that FD knows what’s happening.

Family Dollar Store on Hwy 87 in Hemphill, TX. The ladies are so friendly & helpful. They greet you when you come in the door. They are glad to help you if you can’t find what you need. They keep the store clean & neat. They have great customers too. I recently dropped my checkbook in the parking lot. A customer turned it in to the ladies in the store. They put it in the safe overnight till I my Daughter-in-law could pick it up. Thank you ladies for making your store a nice place to shop. 👍🏻

Why change what was working. Why do app creators always have to change things. When something works - don’t mess with it. This new app update is horrible. One coupon a per line instead of two per line takes So much longer to scroll through all coupons. Now takes FOREVER to add a single coupon and then after adding just a couple, it freezes up. Not impressed. You’d be better to roll this one back.

Updates normally are better for the customer, this one isn’t :(. It’s terrible. I so wish Family Dollar would give us the old app back. You can no longer make a shopping list. App is jerky and coupons are hard to clip. I barely shop at the Family Dollar now because of this nasty app! This app is no longer user friendly, I usually will skip going to Family Dollar because I no longer have a shopping list :(

Cecilia Family Dollar. This is overall my favorite store. Not just to shop at, the associates in this store go above and beyond to make you feel like the most important person when they are helping you. And when you checkout they talk to you, they don’t just stand there. This goes from the manager as well. I hope all the other Family Dollar stores are as good as this one is!!

Better than it use to be. For a few weeks the store was looking much better than before, but I came in today, no room for customers to walk in the isle way because stock was sitting waiting to be placed on shelves. Maybe it was a off day, I will check later to see if what I experienced last month was a fluke, one thing I think is rude when you’re at the register customers you’re supposed to be help not listening to your personal phone call that was rude today

Discount store has good buys. I enjoy the prices at Family Dollar! I wish the would get their great employees more help, or make the store bigger! I see they need help on freight days as there are usually only one or two workers and the amount of freight is overwhelming! Also the internet is not always up and running so the coupons do not always show up at checkout... which makes the app untrustworthy. It is a cute app though and works great if internet is working at the store.

I love me some family Dollar. First of I work as a store manager at family Dollar and I love it. I love this app the only problem I have is we don’t have WiFi in the store. Most of my customers are regular folk and don’t or can’t afford data so they have no way of downloading the app or clip coupons. They want to clip in store at that time. Also not to have paper coupons anymore for the older generation that does not do smart phones is not fair either

Love but I have a couple suggestions. So I love this app, I do honestly miss the older version and the free spins. Over time I grew to love this app, but I do wish there was a option to clip all coupons at once instead of individually. Also wish that there was a pricing scanner option to be able to eliminate the need for customers to go up to the register everytime they need to find out the price of something. But over all I love this app.

Great app however. You have to ensure you are purchasing the item that is applicable to the coupon! Check your receipt I have found often some coupons have not been applied. Not because I had the wrong item! When I asked the staff they said it happens sometime and I could return the item. Check for coupon discount during the checkout process by asking the cashier to subtotal and check applicable coupons.

Manager. The manager at the Trail Lake location is a joke to this company. He got very upset with me because I asked him to allow me to input my phone number so I could get my 5.00 dollars off. He said, it was to late he had already rung up items. So I asked kindly since it wasn’t many items if he could ring up again so I could get my 5.00 discount and he was very rude and said to never come to that store again. I thought how unprofessional! I did send a email to corporate but nothing was done! The manager is still there rude as ever.

Consider a shopping list. The app is great I love that I can find things in stock at my store etc. the only big thing that bothers me is that there is not a shopping cart section. I understand if FD doesn’t want a shopping cart but I’d atleast make a shopping list so you can add items into a shopping list feature and it adds up your total and even subtracts with the amount of coupons you have. This would make this app 100 times better to use and would super helpful!

Horrible Associate in the Mecosta, MI location. They have an associate that acts like we (your customers) are a complete annoyance. She is rude, talks her personal business on the phone (loudly) and today did not even bother to move purchases to the purchased location and then got snarky with me because she did not ring my entire order up. After already waiting in line and her complete rudeness (never a hello, did ya find everything alright, etc) I told her to not worry about it I’ll get those items elsewhere, huge line behind me. If I see that this women is working in your store I’ll drive the 15 to a place customer service is actually a thing. This associates name is Kathy or Cathy, rude from day one, complains constantly about working all day, wow.

Wareham-MA store.. I was in the store about two months ago and I had tried to return an item not realizing it was purchased two months prior and the package was open. Your girl was so rude she continued to talk quite loudly to other customers about how stupid I was for trying to return an open package with a receipt older than thirty days. How am I supposed to know the purchase was wrong for me without opening it? Regardless, of your return policy, your girl was a completely rude ignorant piece of crap that should not be working with people or doing customer service.

Community Member. Greetings, Family Dollar has been a staple in my community for the last 15 years. Offering quality merchandise at competitive prices. With inflation, what is most beneficial for my family is shopping on Saturday. Best Buy’s @ Family Dollar. I’ve been able to find so many good products at Family Dollar. Every year at Christmas we have a Christmas Party. We exchange gifts for $10, I’ve give blankets, speaker, beautiful wall pictures, small lamp and so many lovely gifts to give each year. I also shop for toilet paper, hand towels, cookies, cereal, pancakes, dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent, nail polish, candles, oils and so many households needs. Love to shop at Family Dollar❗️

Family Dollar Stores. What’s not to love? Great value for quality products is my idea of a great concept and then they are located close to home. I don’t have to travel to huge bargain stores whose parking spaces were made for subcompact vehicles and the aisles are crammed with people and merchandise. The choices may be somewhat limited, but I can still usually find something that is adequate for my needs. The time and headache I save is worth so much! Thank you Family Dollar!

Bargain. Great Store with Great deals. I like finding bargains. A step above any dollar store! I would compare it to Walmart! Clean and sometimes a little unorganized! It’s because they are always shipping in new stock with more good deals. A great place to shop for family. They have snacks and lots of common household items. You really can’t Beat it. It’s open a little later than regular stores to accommodate late night shopping!!

App needs a list option. I wish this app had a option to make a list and add your items in it and find out what your subtotal would be for the items in your cart so that you know what coupons apply to your items in your list and make your shopping experience much better when you get to the store you already have your list with items you need to buy and expected price to pay.

Difficulty of use. It isn’t always easy to clip or find coupons that show they are on sale in the store. In addition for some reason when I am inside several of the stores I am unable to access internet and have to go completely outside to get a connection. I have never had this problem in the past until the app was downloaded. It should be easier to use. I do think it is nice to be able to enter the phone number to use the coupons as opposed to having to keep paper coupons or have to scan them from the phone to use them.

Outstanding service. I shop the location in Seymour, IN frequently & have always found what I needed & had impeccable service. There always use to be an associate named Amber (not sure if she’s still there as I haven’t recently saw her) but she has always been very kind & helpful. The other employees are also always kind & caring to us customers. I am so thankful to be able to get basically anything I need quickly & avoid the nonsense by going to Walmart. Review of local Family Dollar in New Castle VA. I just want to say that we live in a very small town - New Castle VA, but we have the best Family Dollar around! The manager and her staff are polite, very helpful, kind and hard working. I really don’t have any negative thing to say about them or the store other than the temperature in the summer time. I have called the main branch office numerous times about the heat, as it’s very hard on me to be in extreme heat being a severe asthmatic! I have complained to the manager every single year and they say they do not control the heat or air so that’s why I have complained to the main office but it hasn’t helped the problem!! Family Dollar ROCKS. Hello Friends at the Family Dollar Stores! I love shopping at the FD Stores because they always have the items I need! I also love the fact that the stores are spacious and aisles are wide enough for two people to shop without getting into their personal space! And my most FAVORITE reason shopping there is using coupons to save money!! I can walk right in and clip coupons on my phone as I shop! I save a lot of time and money and that’s why the Family Dollar Stores ROCK!!!

Dollar store coupons. I love this app but I have so much trouble with my coupons I never get them or I have to put in my number numerous times that I don't even bother anymore I rarely go to the store now because it is so discouraging especially when you know how much you could have saved:( and then it doesn't help thatno one wants to go in the store because of the way people are treated thinking everyone is a thief they look crazy trying to stop and accuse everyone lol anyway so sad today

Worker. I went to that Galliano store that’s where I always go everyone is always so polite and extra kind. I would like to put out a special thanks to a little girl named Billie that works there she is wonderful takes her time to show you where everything is . She’s been extra special Worker since she’s got there. We really enjoy her. I’ve ate them and I had to call my wife on the phone to speak to her and she help me find exactly what my wife needed. She is going to be a big asset to your company.

Saturday Free Paper Towels. I frequent the family dollar store every Saturday for my household supplies, pet snacks, vitamins, shampoo, detergent but mainly i religiously show up to spend $25 and receive $5 back! I have 5 pets, teens and occasional visits from the grands… so lots of messes!! i always comment to my family that i get Free paper towels with a Saturday shopping at family $. i use the app for my coupons and additional savings. the cashier always comments surprisingly that i saved a lot! thanks cj

Regular Customer. The store on Popular Springs Rd in Ringgold Ga is the one I am writing my review on. The store is always clean and well stocked. No unpacked boxes or empty boxes in the floors plus the floors are always clean. My husband is the one that frequents this store and these are his words every time he comes out. He never complements anyplace like he does this store. The management and employees are friendly and doing their job. We are new here and not family or friends with anyone employed here, just a satisfied customer.

Good but…. I would like to suggest a Clip all coupons button feature. That way it’s easier for me and everyone to clip all the available coupons instead of tapping each and everyone that is available. The app is great but I do think having that feature and fixing some mirror bugs will make it better.

My home store. This family dollar has my business always, it’s always nice and clean inside and the staffs are always helpful if I need something. I’m there twice a day and my daughter also loves going there. Whatever we need they have. Love you guys and thank you for working and being there for us. I hope all this ends soon and you guys should all be rewarded for your work.

Love the Store And People. I love the store on Maysville Pike, Zanesville, OH and the manager is great! Very helpful. But, the floor is filthy! About a 1/8 inch of grit and grime that kind of crunches under your feet. Not sure who is responsible for getting it cleaned but maybe they need help from corporate since you have the money to keep opening new ones. The floor has been this way for several years and I’ve written before. Please help them get it cleaned! Thank you!

$5 off $25. I think its pointless to offer customer the $5 coupon but they don’t get the opportunity to use it because of whatever reason. If it’s not used then it should still be available. So today I lost the $5 coupon because I had to cancel the entire transaction and redo it because the store fail to keep up with the prices on the shelves (that’s for another day). I think if the purchase gets canceled the coupon should return back to the app to give the customer the chance to actually benefit from it.

Best Deals. I just wanna say that sometimes when I go n try to do my deals n for some reason or another my app doesn’t work the employers don’t even try to help you or encourage you to do it a different way or do it with other items that might work! It’s very disappointing to me especially since I worked for Family Dollar yrs. ago and I think that’s why when I left they all gave me a celebration good byes

Coupons don’t always attach. I have had this app for about a month and a half and I love the digital coupons available along with the store $5 off $25 coupons, but, I’ve had issues with coupons not attaching with the identical product, thus overspending from what I had originally planned. Pleeeassseee fix that! I’ve been in the store scanning items to make sure they attach and they did before the purchase; but once I took it to then register; they did not. You also need a price checker available on the app; it makes it so much easier to see what the true price is, especially with clearance tagged items.

Customer. I’m having a situation where every time I clipped coupons I’m not able to use them in the store I have been trying to get the employees to help me but no one can help me so can someone explain how I can get the help I need to be able to use my coupons I love to shop at or from family dollar stores it would help a whole lot please your customer

We want the old coupon section back. Ever heard of the saying, “If it’s not broke, don’t fix it”? Well that’s how I feel about the updated version of this app. Nothing was wrong with the coupon section prior to the new changes. It displayed current coupons we could clip and use but now I have to carefully look at the date of the coupons or I may end up clipping the wrong $5 off $25 coupon and clipping next weeks coupon for this week…it’s so annoying. If it’s not available to use until the end of the month then why show me now??!

The Place to Shop. I love shopping at Family Dollar because of the savings, which is extremely important to me. I also love the beautiful pictures and other items they have for home decor. If you are on a budget, Family Dollar is the place to be. Oh did I mention the the app? You can clip your coupons ahead of time!! How wonderful is that!! I know I love it. Stop wasting time and shop and Family Dollar!

Refuse to honor their coupons. I’m sick of it. Most of the time coupons don’t work. It’s really upsetting when the $5 off coupon won’t work. Family Dollar won’t allow their employees to honor the coupons when they can clearly see you’ve met the requirements. This is wrong and possibly illegal. They lure you to buy $25 worth of goods with the promise of $5 off and then don’t follow through on their part. I can tell the employees are embarrassed by it and upset that they know customers are being ripped off. They should allow employees to honor the coupons manually. It’s at the very least bad business practice. I’ve emailed customer service and never receive a reply.

Reset password. You updated your app, and now it requires you to set a new password. I have been trying for several weeks now to no avail, I have even sent a concern msg as well I called and I keep getting a recording of your hours. I have really enjoyed using your app to get my savings. Please fix the problems, your representative in the store are unable to assist as well. I have requested a password reset same issue password doesn’t meet requirements. Please fix, I am not saving money, and I am not happy.

Smart Spins no longer works. Not to be a knock-off dollar store Karen but smart spins no longer works as of at some point since the last update - while I realize the smart spin coupons are mostly for change amounts off absolute garbage products, every so many spins there tends to be a decent one of which the clipping and redemption are worthwhile. As an avid Family Dollar stopper-at-ter such a fluke is inconvenient, not to mention a considerable disappointment for a bargain thrill-seeker such as myself. In consideration that smart spins may be spun ONLY on the app - and NOT on the website - the inconvenience is insurmountable, to say the least. Dare I say, enough to sway me into the depths of temptation, in surety, to lead me to the pits of Dollar General...? Please... Oh please, let me spin again.

Love family dollar. The savings are amazing and their clearance rack is the best always something new for my family there at a great price and I get all of the clearance stuff cause I know it’ll never be back at that store. I absolutely love family dollars app, the features and digital ads and coupons. For a family of five it’s a great monthly help each and every month. My yearly savings help out at the end of the year in a big way for my 3 children and I!!!

Just a small request. Can you please make it to where you can scan your item and it adds it to your list and it gives you an approximate total of how much you will be paying after all discounts are taken off. Like that when you get to register you are not holding up the line because a coupon didn’t work or your total is different. I’ve had a lot of frustrated cashiers .

I’m addicted to this app 😀 thank you but the store that’s my main store don’t always have the things that I have clipped coupons for like they don’t sell pull ups by the case I use Gain and dawn dish liquid they haven’t had that in almost a month only Ajax and Palmolive which both are to cheap you have to use a lot of it .. I shop at fd at least twice a week just because I have coupons but my store really needs a makeover on supplies to go with the app

“ Pitiful Store “. To go in Family Dollar Store and don’t see anything that we really need for us to use during these times when we need all we can get to keep our home disinfected with spray and wipes and to keep our children safe but every day when I walk in there’s nothing to buy not even alcohol ! Oh and the stuff that you all got for Halloween is pitiful! I mean Come on Family Dollar Store put some effort in to getting stuff that we need and some more tasteful things for the Holidays, please! I’m a very concerned buyer who is so disappointed in your Family Dollar Stores merchandise !!!😞😡😭

No SKU. A few little tweaks and this app would be great. SKU numbers in the item description (since many products look so similar (I’m looking at you toothpaste and mouthwash). Also if the search bar was more user friendly, like typing in a general search (not brand specific), and having all the choices populate… Updated review….Changed my mind, it is actually pretty useless. I go to multiple stores, and cannot figure out how to get rid of the one it decided is my “home” store. I literally just want to find out if a certain store opens at 8 or 9. When I search for it on the map, it only shows my “home” in the results, despite being in a different state, and easily 30 miles away!
