Crashed--Black Screen! Twice!. Paid for full version and mid way through, it crashed! Deleted the app then restarted it all over again and boom! Mid way through, it crashed again!! Don't buy this until they fix the bug. What a waste of money!! And time!!

Black Screen. Every time I leave the game and then try to resume, the screen is just black. I have to delete it then download it again.

Glitches. White boxes cover the screen in random places.

I recommend it. Haven't played HO games for awhile. It didn't take me long to remember who the good creators are. I'm usually never disappointed with White Elephant and still not. Really fun game, plot is interesting, graphics great, map easy and fast to use. HO games and puzzles are fun, there's been a couple I just couldn't figure out. It's worth the $6.99 for sure.

Why did the graphics change. This use to be one of my favorites but like most of my purchases the graphics changed making the games impossible to play. Please restore games to their original graphics especially the ones I’ve already purchased

5star. Not all the way through, maybe 3/4 so I reserve the right to change if need be. So far excellent game. Good story line that has kept on track and not rushed. Seamless, no glitches. Some games too easy but with newer games, a variety I can live with the ease of some. Not too short.

Major graphic issues :( Why?!. I’ve played this game MANY times; it’s one of my favorites of all time. Yet just now when I re-downloaded it and tried to play it, there were those glitchy weird square graphics! This happened on some of my other favorite games that are a few years older. I don’t understand why it’s doing this, and I know it’s been awhile since this game has been updated. But whoever is in charge of the updated? Please please PLEASE update this game 🥺🙏🏻 These games are supposed to be playable for life after we purchase them; this situation is very unfair to the customers. It almost feels like we’re being ripped off now. Please please please fix the graphics. Thank you for your time

Graphic glitches. This game is having weird glitches on every page- strange glowing squares blur out over 50% of every page. Very disappointing.

Good story, some fun puzzles. Overall, worth the price. Search and finds are not overused and are well done. The game gets glitchy sometimes and near the end the developers just did not want to try as hard as games became ridiculously easy.

Elephant Games & Big Fish= Fun Games. Fun to play, good Puzzles & HOP’s. Spooky with good storyline, really enjoyable. No crash problems, good transitions. I love this series (if you can’t tell by now). Elephant Games is a great developer, need more of same.

One Of My Favorites!. This is definitely one of my favorites in the Haunted Hotel series!!! There’s everything you could want in a great HOAG & more! Great storyline, graphics, voiceovers & I experienced zero glitches. Plenty of extra items to find including morphing objects, map for fast travel and although it has a guide there’s one available in Big Fish’s Walkthrough Guide which I prefer to access them there if needed so I can use my iPhone to look at it while playing the game! There’s a good variety of HOP & mini-games and both the main game & bonus chapter were nice and long! I highly recommend this game!!!

Graphics problem. Why haven’t the issues with those awful graphics throughout the game been resolved? I would really like to play the game, but this issue makes it impossible.

Great game. You play a few scenes then it stops loading I've had to replay game over 3 times. Iam done going to delete and never det to finish

Only completed the trial game. This game is fun, but there is WAY too much jumping around, even using the map, the constant jumping is annoying to me. I must have gone from Room 201 a dozen times to get items I needed from elsewhere. The game needs better organization. Without the map to guide me, I'd never know where I was supposed to go next. I like to use logic to move from step to step in these games, but the developers seem to want to add time by making the players jump all over the place. I find that annoying. And, I didn't find ANY HO scenes! I thought this was supposed to be a hidden object game! And, those puzzles are poorly designed. I tried to piece them together and the pieces kept jumping. I finally just flipped them into the area they belonged to, and they went to their exact spots and stayed there! Annoying, and dumb. I'm not a kid. I don't need to put together puzzles with four to six pieces! Duh! I might have bought this IF it was better organized. Too bad!

Update or remove. Unplayable on my iPad due to white squares and other things blocking the screen. This occurred even though as noted below the description that the game is “playable on your iPad.”

Haunted Hotel Axiom Butcher. I’m really angry that this game isn’t playable because the graphics are messed up. I’m trying to get my money refunded. I’m disappointed in Big Fish even selling this game and ripping off customers.

Anticlimactic and short. It was not worth the 6 dollars I paid for it, I finished it really early and was left unsatisfied with the ending. Maybe if this game was cheaper, I’d be leaving a different review, but when I saw it was 6 dollars I had higher expectations.

iOS 14 Issue. This game wasn’t on sale last New Year’s and it worked GREAT then. It was finally on sale this year, so I bought it. Come to find out, the graphics are a mess. All blocky and small little digital looking squares everywhere, making the game unusable. Waste of money. I don’t see the dev updating such an old game, either. 🤷‍♀️

One of the best ever. This is in my top 2 Big Fish > Elephant hob games. Entertaining plot with good characters and acting, a few more video scenes, interesting scenes and totally smooth play; no stuttering inventory, everything works on first try. I liked all the puzzles, Hobbs and mini-games as well. Cool twist and The bonus game was fun as well.

Screen not populating correctly. Sadly. I have a feeling I would’ve really enjoyed this game, but there are white patches on my screen that make it so I can’t fully see the scenes. I deleted and downloaded the app again but didn’t help 🥺

Tottie. Absolutely loved this game, very challenging can't put it down, have to see what awaits next. I highly recommend it, excellent no crashing, good storyline, mysterious characters, wonderful graphics, no music. Only Big Fish, has the best games.

Does not play nice on small screens. Never got past the first puzzle. When attempting to assemble the dragonfly wings, I could not complete the task, as the body and wing would not both fit in the screen. But I could not drag the wing to the edge of the visible scene to then reposition the screen to complete. So #delete

Broken after iOS 14. Ever since I updated to iOS 14, there are annoyingly bright squares over all of the objects in the game. It makes the game unplayable. There hasn’t been an update to the game on over 3 years so I doubt they’ll fix it.

Great game but CRASHED in the Bonus Chapter. Really enjoyed the game! However, it crashed halfway thru the bonus chapter. Just a black screen when I try to open the game. I've tried closing all apps, rebooting my phone. Nothing. Not sure I want to delete and reload. What if it crashed again and I lose my progress? Very frustrating

Glitches. The game seems interesting but from the moment it hits the title screen, it starts glitching and half of the screen just flashes white squares. I can’t even see what’s going on to even be able to enjoy what’s going on in the game.

Graphics problems. This game would be good if the recent apple iOS (14) hadn’t screwed with the graphics. This is not the only game to suffer in this way (squares all over the screen, puzzles unable to be seen due to white squares over them, screen flickering, etc). I have been playing despite these issues but it’s less enjoyable to say the least. I don’t know who’s issue this is but I’m sure the game developers will end up having to fix it. I hope you will soon and find the cause before releasing any new games with the same issue.

Eerie, Creepy, Fun!. No glitches, smooth playing. Many types of puzzles and HOGs, long-playing, engrossing - I played for hours! Ambient sound fitted into the story line, creepy graphics. Fun!

Mrs. Gonzalez. I have played so many games from the Big Fish app, and I always come back to play this game. I probably played it 6 or 7 times and it really held my interest. The graphics are beautiful and storyline is entertaining. Thanks Puzzles are interesting and challenging however there are solutions, so you don’t have to drive yourself crazy and get stuck for a week in one spot of the game. The audio and sound effects add a nice accent. So glad I purchased the game, it’s worth every cent. Enjoy it.

Dud Game. Don't buy this. I spent top dollar ($10.99au) on this and as soon as I spent the money for the full game, the hint button crashed and the whole game basically froze. If these game companies are going to charge us these ludicrous amounts of cash for games, they should ensure we can at least play them. Thumbs down.

Unable to play anymore. I really enjoyed this game….. when I was able to play it! Now every time I download it and go to play it, the game screen is all multi coloured and has these white squares and shapes on the screen making it impossible to see and in turn play the game. Shame as it was a good game that I’d paid for

FAILED. Ran until close to the end of the main game, then I started it up for a session and it came up with a 100% black screen and does nothing. Shut it down and restarted it several times, but still doesn't run anymore. I really hate that you have no financial recourse when something like this happens! 😡😡😡😡😡

Amazing game. Immersive storyline accompanied with subtle but effective atmospheric music compositions. Graphics are impressive, and the ability to enlarge scenes is always helpful, especially for those with small sceeens. Puzzles were diverse and not overly challenging. Voice acting was surprisingly decent. Taking one star off for the screen being a little buggy sometimes when picking things up or moving them into place; in addition to the excessive back and forth that could have been curtailed a bit in the game design.

Problem with graphics. I downloaded the game and tried it before purchasing it. I’m glad I did because the graphics were broken into squares, just as another reviewer stated. I checked to make sure my software was up to date and it was, so that’s not the problem. I hope Big Fish fixes this game because I’m sure it would be good if it worked.

A ton of minute tasks. I like the story line a bunch, and the graphics and cont superior, but... Not enough games and the ones they have are too simplistic. ie drag 4-5 pieces of a broken mirror together.. match 2 cards. And seriously can't one thing you click on just do a thing? Everything has another thing. I usually like this series but this time I feel it was dumbed down.

Good!. Overall good game. Interesting mini games but very easy. One pt off for the bonus which seemed disconnected from the story and way too much backing and forthing. Worth the discount price.

Black Screen Locks Up. Both my wife and I played on separate iPads for several hours and on restart it goes to black screen and locks. Have to reload and start from scratch. Otherwise could be a very good game.

Fantastic!. I loved the game- I'm so glad BF came out with a good Elephant game. The graphics are so clear and the puzzles a lot of fun. I really liked the storyline too, it was a bit different. The only disappointing thing was the length of the game- it was a bit short, unless playing it was so much fun, it just seemed that way. Please release more games like this one BF.

Very disappointed. This was pretty blah. I bought it based on the reviews and while the story line was somewhat interesting, the games were simplistic and boring and it was just back and forth and back and forth finding keys, opening locks, to find more keys, to open more locks, to find more keys to open more locks........

Terrible quality. This is one of the most frustrating apps I've ever played. Twice now, when I go to play, the screen just goes to black. The first time I reloaded the game, but now I'm so far in to the game I don't want to restart. Disgusting way to take people's money.

A welcome change from the usual. I'm happy to see some semblance of a diary. Sometimes, I miss parts of the story, and I appreciate having a chance to review. I enjoy these games, due to the presence of an interesting plot and relatable characters. Granted, I knew from the very beginning who the antagonist was (Spoiler: Think "Mousetrap" if you're an Agatha Christie fan). However, the game still draws you in, and I found myself wanting to play more to see what happened next. It unfortunately wasn't as scary as it could be, but it might have been my knowledge of whodunit. I didn't like the stationary crows in the bonus and the fact I had to close out and reopen the secret room to get it to work. Also, the game was short. But, it was entertaining, thus the four stars.

Outstanding!! 😀. Elephant head games does it again with a awesome, scary adventure. Graphics and storyline were very intense and thrilling. Loved the morphing, collectibles and especially the interactive hidden object scenes. Puzzles were unique and a lot of fun. Very sorry to see this game end ( I really enjoyed it!) Excellent!. I love this game. The only thing is that the HOPs are sometimes difficult to figure out, but that is want I like. The games are too easy for me to get. But the game does have me thinking who did it.

Solid game play. I always enjoy the Haunted Hotel series, this is another solid installment, with decent game length. Points for good map and no loading between scenes. Words in HOS a little too small for iPhone play. Pretty similar to previous HH, but you know what you are getting with this series. If you like HH, then go for it.

Axiom Butcher.. Ok.... Since I STILL couldn't get this game to open after several days of attempting to, I deleted and then rebooted it. Now it opens but says that haven't paid for it when I DID!!!! I bought it for $3.99 but now wants me to purchase it at $6.99!! What the heck is going on???? I purchased it on 3/26/17!!!😡😡😡😡

Pathetic mini-games/puzzles. The graphics are quite good and the storyline isn't bad. It is quite graphic; not for the squeamish. My big problem was the ridiculously simple puzzles. In one you have four--yes four-- pieces of a picture to put together and they don't even need to be rotated! In another you have four face up cards and seven face down cards and all you have to do is turn over the face down cards and match them with the face up cards. And they didn't get better as the game progressed. The puzzles are at a four year old level, but the content is obviously adult, so what gives? And the bonus chapter was a disconnect in my opinion. My actual review is 2.5 stars bumped to three for the graphics quality.

Here's My "Axiom"!: Ironically, They Didn't "Butcher" This One!. WARNING: Not for the faint of heart! Some of you might be shocked or offended by the extreme graphic violence, including blood and gore! This game seems very familiar to me; and I guess it's because it reminds me of the last Phantasmat installment, which we recently played. Even though the plot conveys a rehashed storyline, the concept is effectuated in a distinct and attention-grabbing style since it combines elements of horror with a murder mystery. The grisly imagery will evoke spine-tingling, fear-inducing sentiments as you conduct your investigation around the decades-old hotel, The Axiom. You will be dismayed by the following observations: the disturbing images of unfortunate victims who have been horrifically butchered by a deranged maniac; the crime scenes, which are saturated with blood-stained floors; blood-marked symbols painted onto the walls of the secret corridor, which has been sealed off for years; and chained, wrapped-up mannequins falling down from the ceiling. The use of background animations, such as an alarm clock loudly ringing upon touch, appropriately creates a startling reaction. The graphics could use some refinement to sharpen the crispness and clarity of details; however, taking the graphic violence into consideration, it might be a relief that one will not be forced to view any details so vividly. You may customize your settings. The inventory is labeled and interactive; items require assembly. You are given a diary, which is located above the inventory bar, to mainly keep track of the personalities you encounter. In custom mode, the teleport map enables smooth travel to desired locations and indicates available actions. The HOSs comprise various formats, and they are entertaining; however, some are depicted in a gruesome manner! Some are story-driven in which you will examine the body of a blood-soaked victim by finding items in accordance with a narrative account of the steps leading up to the murder. Additionally, I am enjoying the unique touches incorporated within the HOSs, such as finding the matching pair of a silhouette shape from a filmstrip. The puzzles are varied and impressive. Some of them are action-oriented and integrated into the storyline; for example, I refer to the one where you select ominously themed Tarot Cards in concert with the fortune-teller's haunting premonitions of the evil yet to come. The collectibles are fairly conspicuous in placement; there are several sets to discover, including in the close-ups. In summation, I did enjoy this game; and it contained the coveted features we yearn for. My true rating is about 4.5 stars, but I deducted a star due to the mediocre graphics and the lack of a journal to further enhance the story. Still, it's a worthy play. Lastly, I would like to point out that my last 6 reviews, including this one, were rated 4 stars, which is a milestone! I hope this exciting trend continues.
