Always use prior to buying!. Many sellers will build up the car they are hoping to sell... many times they’re not being honest. The VIN doesn’t lie! If it’s a premium grade vehicle, it will show when you research the VIN. IT IS WHAT THE VIN SAYS... Anything else, is a lie!

Great app at a great value.. Amazing app, they offer a great option to view information on a vehicle, you can watch a 30 second video or buy their subscription. Either way you are set I have done both.

Must have. Good to have if you in the market to buy a car or just simply check your car’s value

Very I formative!. When I look and see a car has 700 complaints within the past few years I know I MIGHT just wanna steer clear from it!

It worked great, ONCE. I used this once for my Honda Pilot that I recently purchased. It worked fabulously. I just got a letter from the DMV that one of my husband’s truck’s registration is about to expire. I put the VIN on manually to see which one (we have a fleet of tow trucks so it’s hard to keep track). Something popped up saying I can diet her watch an add or I can pay to have the full app. Fine, I can watch a video. I did. It popped up again. Ok, I’ll watch it again. It popped up 5 times to watch the same video. Great, so I can use this app one time to find exactly one car? This is trash.

Bad app, doesn’t reward free reports. This app recently started asking for mandatory 30 second ads that must be watched in order to get your free report. Sadly enough once you finished watching said ad. You’ll be sad to hear that a pop up from within the app says this “reward error” after watching the long 30 second ad. which does not grant you a free report. This app is just a waste of time and storage, I do not recommend installing it.

Was good but not anymore…. When I installed this app a few months back I used it to pull up maintenance history and mileage on vehicles I was looking at. The history was free after you watched an ad. Now the app refers you to carfax or vin audit to purchase the history. It’s now just as useless as all the rest. I’ll be uninstalling and looking for another. Not cool to play the bait and switch game.

The information is to be cross reference with other site info. Very useful very helpful.. Don’t let a site like this pass you by if you are a amateur when it come to cars.

Great useful app. VINDecoded is truly a reliable and useful app that I have found coming back every time I need to buy a used car. The in depth information with plenty of details on the cars is amazing and can’t say enough of the real value it provides

Avoid!. The first free scan worked fine purchased the 250 vin scan package and won’t allow me to use without repurchasing again even though shows logged in. After several attempts to contact via e-mail (no phone number) a tech support replied that we’re sorry for issue and has been resolved with a few extras included. Tried again and still wouldnt work without repurchasing. Requested money back and haven’t heard from since. $25 wasted.

NEED if you are in auto market at all, but very buggy!. I flip cars, and using this app just can’t match as far as a quick way to get all the information you need on a car. Simple and VERY in depth! HOWEVER, it is currently, at least for me, very buggy. The loading screen is taking a very long time and not showing my previously scanned cars after I restarted my phone. Very disappointed at the moment, I need to either find a replacement app or get a patch for this one. Please fix your app, it’s such a good app and I would hate to see it skip in the cracks

All details about the cars specs are provided and more. The amount of detail this app provides about cars is awesome. The only thing I’d say is a con is that it doesn’t provide vehicle history or odometer readings without paying for a service. Great app overall

VIN Decoder. This app is really cool! I’m a person that doesn’t know much about cars and this helps me out a lot. I’m not going in totally blind when looking to buy used cars. Haven’t used the scan VIN yet though.

Great tool!. Good accurate info, very decently priced. Almost the sam report as car fax or anything like that for a fraction of the cost. It even had the accurate mileage when car fax did not, sinceI had paid quite a bit of money for their report I was very disappointed in them and very happy with VIN decode. I would definitely recommend

Nice little history viewer. I love it it helped me find my dad truck but the only downside is you have to pay to see the owner history which I know is private info but i don’t think people would care about where they lived.

Works Great!. It works great and other than not realizing that there was a limit on the number of Vin numbers you could do for free, it has been better than expected and very helpful.

Scam, no good, hold you hostage. It’s generally a scam app only gets you tiny bit of information then they force you to sit through commercials what you can’t even close, you force quit, restart it then you get a little further, then it’s another ad, to finally do you wanna report and it sent it to two other options which all cost money anyway.

It’s amazing.. Why look up each car information when you can get this app type in the vin and get all the info you need in seconds! I’ve used to app many times to compare vehicles and check recalls. It’s an all in one app.

Very helpful app!!. This app is very helpful if your trying to buy a used car. I was looking at those used 2016 scat pack challenger and I looked up the vin number of the car and found out it was in an accident and rebuilt for selling. I’d definitely recommend this app if your trying to buy a used car from a private seller or even a dealer.

Room for improvement. Great tool I wish they would give you more info. Negotiate an agreement with CARFAX so it can offer a very skinny version of the CARFAX for free and if you need to know more then you can purchase the full report. Give people a taste and they will order a plate.

Looking for deals. It’s a good app. It gives me an idea on what price is decent for a used car. What I don’t like is that the dealer I sell to, his vin checker app always shows a lower price by at least half. I understand he’s wanting to buy low and sell for kbb values. I just usually take this apps price and chop it in half.

Accurate!. I love this app. All the vin numbers i have checked the information on them has been accurate and gives the most important info.

New ad halts navigating the app. The ✖️ to close the add is in the very far corner of the screen and doesn’t recognize when you try to close it.

You never know. I added this app with zero expectations...I am more than pleasantly surprised with the amount of info and useful tools all in one app. I am currently searching for a used car and I use this app to research past listings of every car that peaks the interest. Outstanding App

JDH. This is a must if you are considering the purchase of a used auto! This app helped me understand why a very nice looking car at a seemingly decent dealership was not listed on all the major sites (where one can see a CARFAX, AutoCheck, etc) - because the car had 140,000 more miles than stated in the midst of its convoluted description (and why “0” was listed by MILES and why there was no photo of the odometer). Now, I will know better. Busted, you jackasses!!

Worked for one car, then stuck in ad loop. Seemed to work ok for one car but then manually entered a different VIN and it gave pay or watch ad option, then never let you get past watching ad, same again and again. Also car previously stored, one works, 2nd one just wait...wait...wait.... never presents the information. Please Fix your BUGS, looks like a good foundation. From iPhone 8

Just great. This app is very easy to use and makes buying used cars simple especially if you can’t directly interact with a car and can’t check it yourself. I would definitely recommend this app to anyone looking to buy a used car.

This is a wonderful app it gives me all the information on the vehicle I am working on it makes it easy to find out what size motor if there’s any factory recalls estimated value let me know if the car is ever been in a really bad accident or not it also lets me know if it’s a rebuilt title

Easy and Accurate. Great app that is very easy to navigate. It provides very detailed vehicle information that gives you great piece of mind before buying.

Useful app. Lots of people use this for the free vin decoding and quick title check but we have 5 vehicles in our household and I use it when I’m at the auto parts store or online looking for parts and I need the exact year and options of a car to get the right parts. Also it it nice to see the estimated value and forecast cost - all pretty cool and free!

Best VIN app that’s free. This is by far the best VIN app I’ve found that’s free for the amount of information you receive. You have to pay for certain additional information but I was able to retrieve the info I needed without having too.

Nothings free. Use these apps. They make it seems like it’s free but when you look something up it give you minimal information. When you dig for more information it transfers you to carmax or other sites that want $30 plus dollars for the information that your really need and are looking for!

Bugged app. Worked the a few times, then stuck in advertising loop, I watched the damn ads now decode the vin number!

Doesn’t work. You have to either pay to decode more than one VIN or watch a 30 second ad. After watching several ads I still get the same message saying i have to pay or watch another ad. Something is broken in the ad watcher.

Good app but some Info not correct. The app is great but when I search for my vehicle some of the info was incorrect about its features and the options to select didn’t have the right options (it gave me tradesman and SLT for trim package for my vin but my truck is a Laramie) also for Canadian customers like me everything is in miles and and US postal codes and currency, would be nice to have an option for Canadian users.

DO NOT BUY!. While the scanner work just OK, the decoding will typically lock up. The subscription is marginal and the login does not work. You cannot log in from your desktop to get the info. then all of a sudden e-mail ceased to work. I have contacted the Author on several occasions with NO response. I have even reported this to Apple.

Pulled vehicle info. I used for my daughter and used her debit card to pay. Later that evening her bank card was hacked. Unsure if this is where her info was obtained but seems suspect to me.

So far so good. Good app pulls up price range and you have access to the vehicle report as well wish I didn’t have to leave app and pay an additional fee to get additional reports however overall so far so good!

Bad info. I did a vin check on a vehicle using your app lol 😂 vehicle in question was a 2010 Kia storm suv, well it came back to a 1980 kia I don’t know it they made those vehicles then, well needless to say I chose not to buy that vehicle no thanks to you people. PS I would’ve given 2 star at least, but was very embarres.

So far so good. I’ve used this for about 4 vehicle so far and it seems up to date with the pricing. I’ll be reviewing it again in a month or two.

I’m Still Figuring Out the App. So far I like the features. I get a lot of “zero results” when searching for a vehicle but I like getting detailed information when I enter a VIN.

Decent for a free app. Pulls some information that’s not always easy to find for free. However the spec sheet isn’t always accurate, for example in determining whether a vehicle has an automatic or manual transmission.

Great app easy to navigate. Great app, better than most. Extremely to navigate and understand.

Mileage estimate way off. I have entered a couple vin numbers one that I know the mileage of the vehicle is 99,000 and VIN app states mileage is 309,000. Another vehicle had 60k and vin app said mileage was 124,000. It’s good for some things but the mileage is not reliable at all
