Best Workout App There Is. I'm a baseball player, and if you play the sport, you know that strength is absolutely essential to the game. I searched for a year or more for workouts that could keep me motivated and in the gym. Since I've been using Volt, I'm addicted to lifting, and I look and feel 5x better. It's the most detailed app ever, complete with great primers for things like exercise form and shoulder health, as well as finishers for additional size gains and other great stuff. The also gives great advice for nutrition and hydration to help you be the best athlete you can be. Volt has been a complete life changer, and now I'm actually excited to go get stronger. And for only 10 bucks a month, I get all my workouts and nutrition and primers and everything in between. I would STRONGLY recommend to anyone.

Incredible app!. I’ve been an athlete all my life. Currently I do Jiu Jitsu but I’ve played American football, rugby, powerlifting, wrestling, tennis, basketball, track and field, and bodybuilding. This app has been a lifesaver. It saves on time and keeps track of everything! Not to mention it is extremely affordable. You would be paying AT LEAST 4 times as much for a 1 on 1 personal trainer. This is like having that trainer in your pocket at all times! Everything is customizable and can be altered to fit both your capabilities and specific goals. I highly recommended this app to anyone and everyone!

Not For Home Workout. If you have access to a gym with multiple weight options - dumbbells, kettle bells, medicine balls, all different weights - then this app is probably pretty good. But if you have limited equipment at home, then you are severely limited. Also, it seems strangely calibrated. I’m a female, and while I can do a few pushups, the expectation of this app is that I’m a marine. But, ask me to do 5 whole squats? Ok... I can do 50. There’s no customization on skill or strength level. I did this for 6 weeks and thought maybe it would get better, but nope. Also, I got the app to improve my running. I know I didn’t give it a ton of time, but there’s no explanation of what these exercises do to help you. Finally, the workouts take a lot of time. It’s probably 40-60 minutes, if you skip the breaks, like I would. After running an hour, I’d skip the warmup, but it’s still a big time commitment to fit this in on top of a run. Without an explanation of the program, the intention or impact, I don’t know the point. I feel like I can do specific targeted exercises in far less time and achieve the same or better results.

Good app but..... I've tried this app for 2 weeks already and this app has been put together very well. However, for me it takes over an hour to finish the suggested work out of the day. And that's including that I don't make use of the suggested rest periods, meaning I rarely rest. Using this app at the gym can also be a little tricky. It suggests any given exercise, but keeps changing the weight depending on how you respond to the previous set. That means you find yourself switching weights a lot, and that makes you loose time, assuming someone else is not using the suggested weight. Another thing is that in any given exercise, if the app increases the weight for the next set it does so in 5 lbs increments total. Example: Exercise X with dumbells, total weight for set 1 is 50 lbs, next set would be 55 lbs. I have yet to find a dumbbell weighing 27.5 lbs.

You can't get your own program and coach out there better than this!. I've been using this app for myself and for some teams I train. I love the workouts and the variability of the exercises. I love how I can also swap out exercises in exchange for other ones and they give me suggestions that fall within the same category. My teams also love it and I love being able to trust that they are doing technique correctly. With the amazing cues and visual aids I think it's safe to say there is nothing out there better than this and it definitely worth the price. Plus the employees at Volt are incredibly accommodating and work with you if you have any questions at all. I would write their customer service with five stars as well!

Biggest Gains I’ve Ever Made are with this App. I’ve been with Volt since the early days of its inception. I wanted an app that gave me a baseball specific workout, and this app delivers that and more. The only sports-specific workout app I’ve found, for a fraction of what you’d pay a trainer for. Great customer service, frequent updates, and the interface is clean and easy to use. You can even sub out exercises for something within the same muscle group if you’re traveling and say, don’t have access to a gym. Between this and Whoop, I’ve got a training program built for me.

Unbroken. Great accountability app and the workouts are good variety. My favorite feature is the streak counter to make sure your keeping up with the training schedule. At time of writing I have just completed 222 in a streak passing week 52 (year) with 212 workouts. It’s just a silly number but it gets me to show up every time. My second favorite feature is Cortez which is like your workout guide, it sets the weight and reps. Can’t complain as I have not had an overtraining injury while using the app. The flip side is in the beginning of using the app for the first few months I wish it pushed harder. It just must need to do a bit of learning because after about 6 mos it did start pushing more. And a year later it’s more of a battle to keep up with the tonnage expectation. All that said in a year my body fat (male) has went from about 22-24% to 11-12%. I just started focusing on nutrition more in the past couple weeks but prior there was plenty of chocolate chip cookies and hot and ready passing through weekly. You can’t put train the fat but apparently you can put a pretty good dent in it. Just saying.

So simple and empowering. This app has totally changed my workout routine. I am a mom to three tiny kids and I don’t have the bandwidth to plan different workouts, or the time to experiment or go to classes or even go to a gym. I run three days per week and I was struggling with what to do on my other days. I wanted to build strength but I would get stuck doing the same exercises over and over, or I would try to mix it up and experiment with home workouts on other apps and end up with an unsatisfying workout. This app has made a huge difference. It just tells me what to do! I also love that I can listen to an audiobook or podcast while I work out, and there is no annoying instructor voice like in some of the recorded workouts. So relaxing. The workouts are varied, motivating and satisfying. I use it with weights when I am home and with body weight while traveling, and both are great. I used to dread my non-running workouts and now I love my Volt days.

Great app, except.... I used the app last week M/W/F and it worked well, smooth for the most part the occasional slow glitch. Today was my fourth workout and it was glitchy, freezing, and was so slow. Wouldn’t let me replace my workouts where I would click replace this movement and then it would highlight but wouldn’t do anything. Then, I went through the rest of the workout and clicked finish. It didn’t display my workout highlights. Also, didn’t ask pre workout questions. Only reason I didn’t uninstall the app is I went through the trouble to subscribe for the app. Frustrating when your trying to workout and stay on a flow and you have to be an IT expert to fix it simultaneously. I’m going to keep trying it. Maybe it was due to having a 46% battery making my phone run slow. But, not sure. Even still a couple hours later, my workout still hasn’t saved it resets to about halfway through. Please fix cause I love the concept and the way it tells you what to do. Thanks!!

Updated review. It turns out Volt is much better than I realized. Originally I picked an “at home” workout track and was disappointed it was missing tons of common exercises like simple bench presses even though I told it in the equipment settings page that I have access to a bench and dumbbells. Support told me to switch to an “at gym” program and just remove most of the equipment I don’t have. Now it has all the exercises I’d expect and also is doing the “calibration” sets to learn my weight max’s. Id recommend volt tell people about all the limits for the “in home” programs before they pick one and have a comparison chart!!! Simple solution to make people less confused and frustrated.

In Volt I Trust!!!. REQUEST: Volt, can you bring back the initial primers? I miss the knee stability and shoulder stability one that was removed with the update. I've used Volt for about 3 years now. I went from 3.5 to 4.0 in women's tennis, and I can use heavier weights. Plus after an injury, I used their Priemer Shoulder Health to get better faster. Volt impressed me by emailing me personally asking about what I specifically liked about Volt for Teams (VFT) compared to this app when I said i preferred the previous app, and made some adjustments based on my reply. Now I use this one. Volt Athletics really is serious about their customer's experience and athletic training, and that's why you should consider Volt. I love Volt and highly suggest that any athlete that wants to improve their performance in their sport and prevent injury to try this app. Out of all the apps I've tried, this is the only one I could find with sport-specific workouts personalized to sport, my season calendar, gender, and fitness ability. Think of this app as an investment in yourself and your sport. It's similar to having a personal trainer, except more affordable. Before Volt, I use to do random things at the gym and "working out". But now with Volt, I'm truly doing the right strength and conditioning for me. In Volt I Trust!!!

Love the Volt App. I’ve been using Volt for about 4 months now and love it. I am trying to take my game to the next level but live in a small town so access to professional help is difficult. Volt has the professionals that create the training program for me! It tells you how to do lifts and properly execute them, if your a college athlete or have been one you will know how to preform the lifts correctly or at least have an idea. My only feedback to app developers is that it does not take injury into consideration. They do have lifting alternatives which is helpful but not lifts that factor in serious injuries.

Changing the game for home workouts!. Volt is great! It’s like having a personal coach guide me through workouts. I have hated creating my own routines, and this takes care of that, while also containing guidance for form and execution of exercises. I enjoy being able to turn my brain off and just do what the app says. One of my favorite features is the ability to tell the app what equipment is available to you and replace exercises with similar movements based on equipment availability. Who knew my tiny home gym was so well equipped? I’m one week in and I’m sore, excited for more, and hooked. Highly recommend.

Great app & great customer service. I've been using Volt for about a year with my athletes and have received tremendous feedback on the ease of use and access to their strength and conditioning programs. I love the use of GIFs as it eliminates any confusion on how a specific exercise should be performed, especially helpful for remote programming! Inevitably, there have been a few minor glitches, which I expect with any app/technology. However, the customer service from the Volt team has been first class! They've helped to correct any glitches along the way, even being proactive to the point that they've notified me of potential issues before myself or my athletes recognized them! If you're looking for a sound strength and conditioning program, with ease mobile access, and great customer support, look no further!

Volt. This app is by far great, the only issue I really have with it is it doesn’t allow you to use the decimal place when you are using cables to adjust your weight. But other then that I love the warmups it has and how it adjust accordingly to the weight we use and pushes you to the limit. If you could adapt the workout to really fit your needs like, after you have a long season and you put the areas you really wan to focus on and it creates a workout that is built around whatever you really want to build to make stronger that would be great.

A replacement for a personal trainer. I never realized how much of a barrier the PLANNING of a workout was for me. Having everything planned out and adapting to my strength has been a game changer. There’s no effort required except the physical effort. My brain can work on the other stuff it needs to while my body works on the lifting. Volt is awesome. Also, I am recovering from a should injury and, as long as I’m honest about how tough an exercise is when rating effort, it continues to take it easy on me when I need it to, which is impressive. I’m still extra careful on my shoulder, but it seems to be going great! I wish I could let the guys at Volt know this so they can categorize my workouts differently for their learning algorithms.

Bogus. This app is trash. It gives you workouts that you could easily find online or put together yourself through a little research and doesn’t use any specific goals as far as weight gain, weight loss, or anything in that category. It’s just ask for your weight, height, and what sport you play and puts together a random workout plan. On top of all that, it is an attempt at a scam. I signed up for a free trial and it automatically charged me $75 for a yearly subscription as soon as I signed up (13 days prior to the end of the free trial). If I were oblivious and not paying attention, I would’ve been at a loss for $75. After an hour of talking on the phone with apple support, thankfully they were good enough for me to get a refund, just waiting on it to process. Long story short: don’t get this app, or you will have to be bailed out by Apple, unless you plan on paying $10 a month for a bogus workout plan.

Amazing workouts with no planning!. Coming from a former football player who’s trained at the collegiate and semi-professional level... I HIGHLY recommend this app!!! The way this app thinks for you and plans killer workouts is AWESOME! It’s like having a personal trainer for $10 a month which is NOTHING compared to what I used to charge my clients when I was a CPT! There are even sport specific training options that focus your workouts towards your own athletic goals! This app bridges the gap between where you are now and where you desire to be in your fitness journey... You won’t regret using Volt!

The only app I’ll ever recommend. Volt is an ABSOLUTE gamechanger for anyone with athletic or wellbeing goals. I used it for 2 years to keep me in shape for ski season and I was faster & lasted longer on the mountain at 35 than I ever could as a collegiate skier. Then, I switched to a strength & size program that got me through my first pregnancy and first year post partum. I’m finally back on my ski season program and literally stronger 1 year post partum than before baby. The training is so good, the features are always improving, and the Volt support team is the best in the business. Knowledgeable, speedy, and more helpful than any coach or trainer I’ve ever worked with. Do yourself a favor and try three months of Volt training. You WILL see and feel results if you commit!

10/10 life changer. Volt is a 10/10 game changer for this young professional. I struggled for years to pick a routine that I can stick with. I know I benefit from having a coach, but I don’t want to pay for a personal trainer, and group training sessions are too generalized. One year ago, I started using the “All Around Athletel” program on Volt and it’s the first time I’ve been able to stick to a routine. I’ve gotten remarkably stronger and healthier in the past year. Planning my gym time has always been hard, and it’s always been easy for me to end a workout early since I had no plan. Volt takes care of all the workout planning to the point where I don’t even have to think about the gym, I just go to the gym and follow what it says. Volt prescribes the warm-up, exercises, reps, and weight. It adapts to what you can do and updates future workouts to reflect that. You can even switch out similar exercises in a workout if say all the bench presses are taken at a gym. I love volt and it keeps getting better with every update.

Great App! But slow to improve. I love this app and I’m definitely seeing the benefits of using consistently and sticking to the program it offers. But there are some very easy improvements that would make it even better and I’ve been using for over a year and have yet to see implemented. The “extras” like the conditioning and mass builders etc. should just be added to the program or should at least be able to be tracked on the app. At the moment they are just added as PDFs and it’s not a good user journey. Nothing extra that I do factors into the tools ability to learn about where I’m improving. I gave this feedback directly to a developer who reached out a year ago and nothing has been added yet. I know quite a few people who have said the same that would be a massive improvement to have this capability.

Convenient and fun. I’m fairly experienced in weight training. I’ve held an NSCA CPT, and have lifted for over a decade. But as someone who doesn’t enjoy programming for myself, this is an inexpensive and fun solution for myself right now as I just want to continue training but not worry about monitoring volume, intensity, or exercise selection. I can just go on autopilot and let the app guide me. It also makes me not skip the little things when I’m tired: I’m looking at anyone who skips their planks on hard squat days. I have been recommending this to any of my general population friends that are looking for a simple training solution.

Very helpful. I really like this app. I am a young professional in my sport and work 14 hour days regularly so it is hard to find the time to do extra workouts, but I can do it anytime with this app. I love how the app allows you to input your strength level, but I wish it would allow you to choose what you have available for that session. If I’m in a hotel room, I’m limited to only body weight exercises and it would be nice if you could have a “no equipment” option. Also, I feel like it would be very helpful to have a rehab section for regular sports injuries. I tore my ACL last year, and if programs could be built around rehabbing common sports injuries, that would make the app even more amazing. I am recommending this app to all my friends because it allows you an extreme flexibility with a great program👍

Just like the Glory Days. When I played Division 1 College softball I had access to about 5 strength coaches at any given time. Once I graduated, I still enjoyed lifting at an elite level but didn't know what to do (Crossfit is just not for me) and now that I’m a mom of 3 toddlers, I need something to help keep me sane and also give me routine without having to “think about it”! Having a program prepared makes it easier to hit the gym, put in the work, and find a routine. This takes away the guesswork and leaves me feeling good about the time I spend in the gym. Love the look of this app as well! User friendly, tracks my lifts, recommends loading as well as adapts to fit me where I’m at, which is a former powerlifter who is 18 months postpartum and misses being strong 🙃 excited to track my progress and find a new routine for myself.

Great App, Great Customer Service. The app itself is simple and adaptive to your schedule and progression. Videos easy to follow, and the variety if alternate moves is great, especially if you’re low on equipment or if the gym is busy. Have been using the month by month subscription for the past year, but someone from the app contacted me today to remind me that the annual subscription is $50 less expensive than continuing on the monthly plan for another year. She totally did this out of the blue which impressed me! So thoughtful

SUPERIOR PROGRAMMING & USER FRIENDLY APP. I'll cut to the chase. I LOVE THIS APP. I have been doing sports performance and strength training for over 15 years. I've had elite coaches that train professional athletes in football, baseball, hockey, olympics and track and field. I know what great progamming looks and feels like. When my gym closed I need an alternative to working with a live coach. I found Volt in an online search and gave it a try. I quickly realized that this was Volt was legit. I've gotten greats strength gains, increased my conditioning and have increased lean muscle after four month in the program. What I love is that it's phased. I am able to train hard and not over train or feel beat up. Using the app is a wonderful experience. It makes the workout very efficient with examples of movements, the ability to record MY specific performance AND replace movements when I need an alternative. Finally, when I did have questions, their staff was on it like a 44" box jump. Terrific support! This thing is very well done, planned and executed. I highly recommend it.

Recommendation was exactly what I was promised. This took me a quick moment to get used to, but only because I was being recommended so many exercises for workouts I had never done before! Such a unique list! Even if your sport is not listed, I feel the app holds a certain consistency with your exercises that it makes it a worthy investment! Honestly the best part is knowing that if something is too strange to physically perform, complicated because it is unknown, or limited to you (machines or gear available at your gym/home), you can change specific exercises around to fit your style! In my opinion if you’re willing to invest in an app at all, I highly recommend this one, since it feels like having a personal trainer in your pocket. There’s always options for anyone willing to put the time and effort, because payoff is absolute ;)

A couple minor tweaks will make it perfect. I’ve been using the app for about 6 weeks and can already see changes in strength and endurance. For years I’ve been walking into the gym without an actual plan, this app changed all that. Maybe add the ability to make edits during a workout and this app will be perfect. For example, certain movements call for a range of reps (6-8, 8-10, 10-15, etc) and occasionally I’ll hit done before inputting my actual reps. I’d like to be able to go back and edit if I make this mistake. All in all a great app!!

Great App, just one minor suggestion... I have been using this app since my college athletics program introduced it to our team. Now, two years after graduating I am still using it every day because it is a great tool for staying motivated and have productive workouts. The only suggestion I have would be to add some sort of optional alert tone that could be turned on to indicated the end of each rest period. This way you wouldn’t have to constantly look at the phone to see how much rest time is remaining. Other than that, it is awesome! I am looking forward to using it many more years and can’t wait to see what other new features the Volt team decides to introduce!

Impressed! Thank you!. Tried this new app out last night and tonight and I have to say after I entered my height weight and current strength levels it put together a pretty comprehensive program with a high level of training intelligence for my fitness/athletic goal. The app works well while you workout, tracking your sets and rest times and pushing you through your workout with accountability. I am impressed and thankful for this app because it not only streamlined my workouts but it records, plans, and holds me accountable on not only my program and goal, but also with keeping my rest times short and timed within the app to keep me disciplined which will = greater success. Five out of 🤚🏽 fasho!

Great workout app with a few gaps. First, I love this app. I’ve seen the most results in the month and a half I have been using the app thus far than I have doing any other prefabricated exercise programs (p90x, insanity) in the past. The Cortex “AI” (pretty sure it wouldn’t pass a Turing test, but call it what you will) has really helped me gradually push myself to lift more week after week. A few features that should really be added: -Some ability to edit weights/reps enters for each set after closing a set. I have had to drop my weight down after finding in more info that I should only be marking weights for a single dumbbell rather than total weight. -Allowing some way to add primers/finishers into the normal workout interface, rather than needing to reference them separately, then start the workout. - Allow options for those that wish for more than 3 days a week in the gym. I have used the primer/finisher combos recommended on the Volt blog, but having this as part of the workout UX would make the whole experience a lot smoother.

Amazing workout application. This app is amazing. Since I’ve been training for college football I’ve been struggling to find the most optimal workout program for myself. I’ve been constantly changing my programs weekly and it was leading me nowhere. Upon discovering this app, I feel that I have finally found the perfect weight training program. I’ve listed some pros and cons of this app. Pros: *Up to one full year of specialized training program *From track athletes to football players to tennis this app offers programs for any type of athlete *offers mobility, stretching, warmup, injury prevention, and routines involved outside of just lifting weights such as speed training, agility/ladder work and plyometrics. *videos of every exercise to show you how to perform said exercise correctly. *adapts to your training style by modifying your routine every time you work out. *low price compared to having an actual trainer which could cost $50+ per session Cons: *the primers, finishers, warmups, ect exercises do not include videos of how to execute them and some may be difficult to interpret. *no notification sound for when rest time is up. Since some people like myself could get distracted in the gym. I feel the option of having this would be nice. *thats pretty much it. Great app! Highly recommend to anyone who’s interested in training like an athlete. The right way!

Ferocious Beast of the Wild. I'm an "all-around athlete" with no sport. I'm committed to my fitness goals, but sometimes my workouts suffer from randomness, and I spend too much energy deciding what to do in the gym rather than concentrating on my lifts. Volt solved that problem permanently. I love the data-centric approach. The exercises and explanations are well-organized and the progression between them is clear. The rest-countdown timer feature holds you accountable to the pace of the workout. My favorite thing is the ability to swap out exercises. I am trying to transition from a normal gym to a smaller home gym; being able to swap a barbell exercise for a dumbbell exercise can make all the difference. Overall, just a fantastic fitness experience and app that obviously has a ton of science and design expertise behind it. Thank you for this tool--so worth it!!

Almost perfect. I love lifting and strength workouts. I dislike running, but it’s an effective workout required by my work. I’ve always struggled to find a balance between lifting and running. Too much off either detracts from the other and I like to lift heavy. I’ve been stubborn for years, but I’m ready to meet in the middle. This app gives me the middle ground I’m looking for where I can get challenging strength workouts I enjoy with monthly varying goals that complement running. Room for improvement: - I prefer to use my home gym which is mostly barbell based. A setting where you could pick your equipment and the app would default to the appropriate equipment would be awesome. I know you can switch workouts and make them permanent for a block or indefinitely. But with so many workouts I feel like every week I’m having to manually switch out. — Something simple like checkboxes for body weight, bands, barbells, dumbbells, cables weights, weight machines. - The reps/weight seems weird. Sometimes I manually add a weight in and it doesn’t carry over. Was I supposed to use just the bar weight? Also, when this happens sometimes I don’t notice and I finish the workout with a lower volume. Which leads me to my point. - There doesn’t seem to be a way to fix your workout history reps or weight after you go forward far enough or finalize a session. - Sometimes I travel for work so a mode that defaults to all body weight workouts would be awesome.

Off/online. I actually love this app. The workouts are amazing and I love the adjustability of each lift. Certainly getting everything out of it I want to as an online program. However, there in lies the problem... if there isn’t an internet connection then there is no access to the app. Would like to see this app available offline when I don’t have access to local internet or data services. Unfortunately for now anyway that can’t happen. Hope it changes. All other reasons I’d give it five stars. Sure love using it. This is the second time I’ve submitted this review.

All you’ll need 🙌🏻💪🏼. I’m a former college athlete that has since joined the “real world” with a 9-5 job. I thought I would never athletically train again until I found Volt. It recommends a great blend of weighted and body weight training with a nice bonus of conditioning, core, primers, finishers and warm-ups. The app isn’t perfect but it has continued to get better and better over the past year or so and I believe it’ll continue to do so. Also, all the people saying that this app is a scam or too expensive are not being realistic. Consider how much it’d cost to have a trainer with you each workout before complaining, people! Excited to see what this app becomes in the years to come.

Good Training Program but room for improvement. So far I really enjoy all the explanations and video demonstrations of each exercise. But sometimes I feel like there is a little bit ambiguity during the work out and with the suggested primers, saq, finishers and extra that they recommend. Also there have been recent improvements to allow you to modify what equipment you have but one more thing I would like to see is a notification system to set aside designate time to work out or an overall improvement section. It’s a great app for those who are new to fitness and trying to figure out a regime and definitely worth the subscription.

One wish..... Let me start by saying I love this app! I’ve been working out consistently for years but there are times when you get into a rut and just don’t feel like planning your own workouts. Volt takes the guesswork out of planning my workouts and makes me feel like I’m working towards something. The only this I wish the app had was an option to choose how many days you are working out (3/4/5) I don’t mind supplementing the program with other workouts but it would be nice if there was at least 4 days of programming as opposed to 3.

Good but missing a couple crucial features. UPDATE: Adding another star!! Great work Volt getting the beeps added to the timer as a way to hear when the timer is complete. This helps tremendously when working out and not having to keep checking the phone screen to know when that set is complete. I’m looking forward to adding the last star when Volt writes to my health app for health metric tracking. —————————- The Volt app has certainly delivered on its promise to bust up those plateaus and train you to get fit or get to that next level. BUT... it’s missing 2 key features that, together could get this app to a 5 star rating no problem. This has been fixed > 1. There’s no sound when using the timer. The lack of a ding makes working out and constantly watching the time very difficult. 2. There’s no Watch app. This means let its not prompting me on the time (see above) or that its not logging my exercise time so I can close my rings. BONUS POINTS: allow the app to read and write to the Apple Health app so when I lose/gain weight the AI can adjust its calculations. It can also log heart rate and recovery rate throughout the workout. This too could inform the AI on just how hard I’m working during a particular set.

Honest feedback. I’ve been using VOLT for about two years and my football coach follows your app every time we lift as a group. I’ve gained a lot of muscle and lost a lot of weight this app has gotten me to hit my goals in life and even more. I really appreciate how the developers take the time to respond to reviews and if your looking to get in shape for football season u need to download this app. However it is a little spendy but they also have a amazing team that they need to pay. Personally I wouldn’t pay for the subscription but I just don’t really have the money. I’m glad that our coach pays and let’s us use it for free when we lift together. If I had the money I would definitely pay for this.

One more thing…. This app, by far is one of the greatest apps known to man. It’s precise in how it develops you into the person you want to become physical. As a former college athlete, it’s structured and organized to a tee. Now, with that being said, the only thing that I hope (HOPE) you guys will do is do the training extras like how you do the warm ups where I can select whichever warm up and it will go just like any other warms (whether you countdown or do workout regiment just like the normal) rather than seeing then going back to it each and every time. If y’all can have the training extras operate like that? Y’all would have a six star.

Pretty cool looking but keeps having to “re-sync”. I haven’t quite started the training yet as I plan to after work today. However, I’ve had to uninstall and reinstall the app twice now because it tells me that my workouts are out of sync and that they need to be re-synced. After that, it loads and loads and loads and nothing happens. Uninstall and reinstall fixed this, but as soon as I tapped on Day 2 of Week 1 to look at it, the same problem occurred again. Is there a fix to this? Like, a permanent one? If there is, then I’d love to know what it is. I want to be able to use this app for workouts and have it not glitch out every time I ever use it.

When’s the Apple Watch app coming?. All in all, great app that lets you focus on doing the actual workout instead of wondering about the amount of weight, reps, sets and rest time. The app also boasts a great collection of warmups, primers, and finishers, which is great to pair with your workout. However, I’d be highly disappointed if there wasn’t any plan to develop the corresponding Apple Watch app. The only thing you’re doing on the phone app during a workout is reviewing the current exercise, and the associated weight/reps, and then hitting Done. The Apple Watch could pair beautifully with these steps! The only time you’d need to use the phone app is to review how to perform a certain exercise or how to complete a circuit. I think a Watch app would increase productivity and make the experience more enjoyable.

Really good but needs more. I was a bit skeptical about the app at first. I have been training for 3 years and had made good progress but hit a few plateaus. I mainly do powerlifting. I think the app is great for people that want to be fit and there it definitely has a good plan. I like how many sports it can base workout for, but powerlifting and strength sports are missing. I think if you could add something for the people a bit more serious and really use RPE’s and things like that, it would be amazing. The cost of the app is less than a coach for strength, so it could potentially be a game changer.

🥇🏋️‍♂️🏀. Workouts are significantly better with a plan. While I used to enjoy developing my own routine and tracking it at the gym, there were a few flaws: 1) I don’t have a background in movement science (one of life’s regrets) 2) tracking on paper, while sweaty is a mess 3) calibrating lift increases and rests is a science, not guess work (I guess this is point one)... volt’s responsive and well designed workouts and app make these problems of the past. It’s absolutely a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ product, but there is still room to grow... I would love to see a place to add notes as there is sometime need to modify an exercise or I reach 10 reps on one side and 9 on the other. And, I would love to be able to see a simple graph showing my gains for each lift when I click on the breakdown.

My Opinion. Overall this app is amazing but I would like some features that you could do. The 1st thing it would be cool to add days to working out during your week, like I workout 5 days a week and this app only has 3 days. The 2nd thing is like a setting for a schedule for upper arm day and leg day and make core day everyday of course because It has some upper arm stuff on day 1&3 for me and I don’t have some equipment for some of the workouts mainly just the bands. It would be cool if you added even more workouts like leg press, bench press, calve raise, bicep curls, seated row, Chest press things like that on the basketball player exercise. Just an idea

Great app! Minor suggestions. Love this app! It makes it so easy to train at the gym. I love lifting, but I can’t afford a personal trainer and having to come up with my own workouts is something I hate doing. Very happy with it. A couple of suggestions: adding an optional 4th workout in the week would be great, I like to lift 4 days a week most weeks if possible. Also, while warmup and core focused sub workouts are available in the app, they are not guided like the full workouts are, which is annoying. It would be nice to be guided through those sections and to have more options available! This is why I gave the app 4 stars over 5. Overall, highly recommend.

Good, but frustrating for the home user. There is a lot to like about the app. I love all the plan options and the UI is easy to use. The demo videos are helpful and good quality. Where I am frustrated is that the app is more geared towards the gym user, and not the most helpful for the home gym user. I have dumbbell sets from 5lbs to 50lbs, medicine balls, bands, and kettlebells. The home workout plans do not really utilize the gym equipment on hand, mostly a lot of bodyweight work. The other plans ask for weight that I don’t have. For example, it’ll want me to do dumbbell bench press with 65 lbs—which I don’t have. I wish it could take into account exactly what equipment I have and develop a program based on that. In addition, it does not allow for time constraints either (ie, it doesn’t ask how long you want your workouts). Most plans have 60+ minute workouts. While I do like the app, I find that these issues make it a completely frustrating experience.

Exactly What I Hoped For. I have lifted a good amount for about 10 years. Sometimes with set programs in high school, and on my own since. It is great having a program again and not having to carry around paper and pencil is nice. Super easy to use too. Full disclosure, I hadn’t lifted for about a year when I started Volt and lost some strength. I wanted to make sure my form was right and didn’t want to over-exert/injure myself right away so I started really low with every weight. It automatically has gotten me back to the point I was at in high school in less than 2 months, without feeling like “too much”. For me, the best features are: mobile, automatic difficulty adjustments, video and written instructions for each exercise, and the ability to replace lifts (in case you don’t have the equipment or are rehabbing). I also just found out they have a yearly plan that is cheaper. Would recommend to anyone looking for inspiration or who is plateauing.

It’s nearly perfect. I really enjoy using this app and with Cortex which takes into consideration how you are doing during the workout (some days you’re on your game, others not so much) it really sets itself above everything out there. I have been using this for over a year and can definitely see improvement and my son is really enjoying the workouts as well. I used to be an ambassador for Adidas micoach and they had a very similar program and others that were sport specific but they didn’t market it well and eventually left the market. I was not sure what to try and then I found Volt. They have improved it a couple times over the past year and each improvement makes sense! From my standpoint adding Apple Watch features, some HIIT cardio or HIIT runs that guides you like the regular programs (and specific to your sport goals) for off days vs. just telling you what you can do on your own would probably be as close to hiring a personal trainer. They have written and video instruction for every exercise so you can make sure you’re doing it right, timers and they automatically track and progress you so you don’t have to figure it out. Add Cortex which tracks how you are performing during the workout and you really can’t go wrong. They even emailed me to tell me I was paying too much and guided me to the yearly payment option. That’s pretty cool! Andrew

Great app. Awesome app! I’ve tried several apps and wasted money, but this app is by far the best app for working out. Provides enough information to keep me motivated and wanting to get better. Great app once again.

Best workout app ever. Amazing sport specific strength and conditioning, customised to my strength level. This app is phenomenal

Wouldn't load past height. Restarted the app and redownloaded it 6 times , no difference

Great way to get back on track. After the birth of my son, I took almost a year off the gym. When I finally got motivated enough to get back in there. I wasn’t able to do the things I used to do. And I had no idea where to start. This app has helped me to create a program to build back up with new exercises so I don’t get bored. My only downside is that my app won’t let me add half kilo amounts and most of my dumbbells come with half kilos. Not sure if it’s just a glitch on my app or a bug they need to fix

Own a HIIT Gym as well. I’ve been in the fitness industry for over 15 yrs. Also own a popular HIIT gym and this is a good substitute for anyone unable to make it to a HIIT studio. Nothing like working out with others but for the ones lacking inspiration at the gym this is for you. Good work to the VOLT team

The Real Deal. As an international athlete who has worked with high level S&C coaches as well as having a masters degree in sports science myself, I have been thoroughly impressed with this app. Will it teach you how to use the gym and improve your technique? Probably not, nothing beats face to face, but in terms of having an exercise plan designed by industry professionals with a very handy interface for a cost effective price, it’s well worth the investment. Use instructors at the gym to help with your technique, and use this app to create your program as well as help you to remember exercises, reps and sets. Quality product.

Needs more. I was disappointed when i saw there was no category for weightlifting at all

Need an AFL program. Grouse app, should get an afl program going though.

Please explain. Can’t even get pass the sign in options Press Next multiple times to move onto the next step but nothing happens. Ha!

Very cool very swag I like it. Highly recommend, keeps me motivated and peace of mind knowing I’m doing the right workouts

Excellent tool for Athletes and anyone else looking for a full time training program. The Volt App is fantastic! As a National team member I've worked with a lot of different Gym programs and the Volt program is by far the easiest to use and effective program I've ever worked with. I love the detail the program offers, it tells you exactly what to do and how much of it. I also love the way the program adapts as you go, there's no need to chase up personal trainers trying to get renewed programs or figure out by how much you should increase your lifts, it's all done for you.

Great!. Love the app and being able to show up to the gym and just have my program right in front of me! However, I would love an Apple Watch app or some way to make it so I don’t have to pick up my phone after every set and click over to the next exercise. Also another minor thing that bothers me is the inability to enter decimals into the weights. Sometimes I can’t get to the exact weight due to the weights available and I would love to be able to put that .5 at the end of the weight 😂 Overall, love the AI and the programs it’s giving me, just needs a little bit of polishing on the UI side.

Amazing app but .... Keeps freezing with latest update after the notification screen. Says to go to settings and can’t. Happened twice and twice I’ve had to delete the app. Driving me crazy. Please fix.

Easily the best workout app I've ever used.. Literally just pick your sport, pick your start date and the app calculates everything you need to do to be on top of your game come start of the season. The best part is showing up to the gym and not having to think what to do, how much to lift... It tells you everything. My favourite app on my phone.

Missing key sport. Misses 4th biggest domestic sport in the world behind Formula 1 racing, bundesliga (soccer), and nfl. The 4th is Australian Rules Football which would bring at least a million to your app.

Michael. Great and diverse workout programs for those who are looking for some direction

The Volt app appears to now be fixed.. I have just downloaded the app and, unlike previous reviews, it has loaded and opens up fine. I have yet to start the program but have browsed through the progressive workouts and it looks good. There is a 7 day free trial and the program is $9.99 per month thereafter which seems reasonable given the content.

Perhaps an Equestrian program. Seems like some good stuff and a lot has been put in however really would of loved to of seen an app finally that has workouts ideal for equestrians It is a sport despite what some people think and we too need work outs that make us stronger and more fit to be able to improve and excel and unfortunately it’s hard to find a well thought out app that caters to the sport and gives us a guided workout, really simple stuff that could really help is upper body core and leg work outs with the same guidance as the other sports on offer and you’d have a lot more interest if this was included I think Just some food for thought

Subscription. How can you cancel the 7 day trial. No real information on how to cancel if you dont like the app.

Best fitness app for athletes and general public. I have tried multiple fitness apps I love volt as it offers variety in workouts and put quality over quantity of workout so who does not have a spare 30 minutes no/minimal equipment needed for some workouts the reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars there is always room for improvement for me I would like to see a cross fit workout in the app

Great app!. Really changed my workouts and I'm seeing instant improvements!!

Free trial = doesn’t work. Download the app try to start the free trial....app stops working. No way I’m going to risk signing up to this

Awesome App!. I’ve been using the app for 2 months already and I’m loving following the program and its tips and exercises. However, all of a sudden I’ve been logged out and unable to login again despite my attempts to retrieve my password both via the app or website. I managed to contact the Volt team via email and twitter and I got a very quick response, which made me also very impressed. Keep it up with the good work!

Subscription. How do you cancel subscription

Fantastic App!. Been using it for 3 weeks full time. Best thing I’ve done. Only problem is that you can’t write for example 12.5kgs only can write it as a whole number. Lots of weights here in Australia are 12.5kg, 17.5kg ect.

Great app!. I use this with my trainer - great stats and flexibility. I like the pre workout questions to gauge mood!

Excellent at home and at Gym. Transitioned me perfectly from gym workout to home during COVID. Looking forward to going back to the gym someday with same app. Great job Volt.

Can’t cancel. I never used the app even after going through it and checking out the training schedule. This simply wasn’t for me. I’m a beer league athlete with love for weight lifting, skiing, hiking and mountain biking and this app simply wasn’t for me. Why 1 star? Because you can’t manage your subscription and end up being charged because of it. I go to the app, it tells me I have to manage my subscription from the App Store or iTunes on my computer. After spending over three hours plugging my phone in/updating/scouring the App Store/scouring iTunes I can’t find any way whatsoever to dismantle my subscription. I may update my review based on what their customer service says to me regarding this (no, I do not want to subscribe and I never used the service so kindly refund me any money) As of right now, the app wasn’t what I felt I needed and their mismanagement of subscription / unwilling fees really turned me off. Wouldn’t recommend

I hate it. Not that helpful and have a pending purchase from when I had it now I can’t download anything or update anything on my phone

Best sport-specific workout app. I love this app, and credit a chunk of success hitting some PB’s last season for road running. Using it again this year to stay healthy as I train up to a marathon. Interface works great, the way the program changes and adapts and takes feedback is on point. Keep it fresh with new exercises and I’ll keep using it, the price might be higher than some apps but it is well worth it. Some small things I’d like to see to make this app a perfect 5-star: - a sound at the end of the break timer - HealthKit integration (I’d like to get my calories, heart rate, and activity tracked along with my other workouts) - ability to manually change or influence the number of workouts (off-season I’d like to have 4-5 workouts a week, during high volume training/racing weeks, I might take it down to 2

Middle age out of shape FF. Volt + the local Cdn trainer Chris Craig and have given my workouts structure, variety, with growth. As an out-of-shape-Dad and veteran firefighter, this AI tool is getting me back on track. Thanks for designing it. - DaveG

Expensive. Way too expensive.

Do not use app. Do not enter credit card information, they make it impossible to unsubscribe, a real rip off, I’ve tried twice to unsubscribe and they keep charging my account. A real scam

Horrible. Worst app out there just another scam to get money.

Meilleure application de muscu. Exemples vidéo de très bonne qualité avec les bonnes postures. Plusieurs sports couverts Plusieurs progressions les adaptations des exercices.

Great APP. Great stuff!

Worth the money. I have always struggled at the gym and have used personal trainers in the past, but when I was on my own, I wouldn’t know where to begin. Two years ago, I weighed 300lbs (I’m 6’2”). I began a proper eating plan and lost about 50lbs. I downloaded Volt on the free trial to train for hockey with friends. The workouts are easy to follow and understand. It gives great adjustment feedback regarding reps and weights for what you’re able to do. I’ve obviously started the paid subscription and do not regret it at all. I’ve switched to the strength and size workouts at five days a week. I’m down to 225 and am noticing significant gains in strength since I began. If you commit to it, you will see results. Just get the diet in order too. For those complaining about being unable to cancel the subscription, you do that through your Apple ID, not directly through Volt. It’s the same as any subscription on your iPhone.

Great App. This is the best app. Yes it’s a paid workout plan but i’ve been using it regularly and in a short time i’ve noticed a large difference in my ability in sports, it really help train the certain muscles you need for the sport of your choice

Unsubscribe. There is no direct way to unsubscribe so they don’t take your money. I’ve tried calling apple and everyone else to see if they can help but all they do is suggest contacting the other party for information on unsubscribing.

Limited sports. I’m training for figure skating strength and speed Figure skating is not an option, but I understand that this app is fairly new and figure skating is not a sport that comes first to mind-even some what hard to train for I chose the cheer/dance option and so far it is actually pretty helpful and gets me doing something worth my time and helps me train to become a better athlete

review. this is great. for workout plan and to enhance but it would be great if it was like 10 dollars a month so if ur just a kid like me trying to trying for sports that i can afford it

Great app!. Been using the app for a couple weeks now and am already seeing slight improvements! I would just like to know if the app will ever move over to the Apple Watch? Now that I’ve purchased the Apple Watch I’m looking for fitness apps that are available on the watch. I’m having an awesome experience with Volt and would like to continue!

No customization. I don’t have bands or access to a box. My workouts have a lot of bands and lots of box workouts. Would be easy to put that in as a setting. It’s good, just feels like it’s missing too much.

Why?. Just up and took $14.11 out of my account when I canceled my subscription and now I will not get that money back🤷‍♂️😡

Horrible, try ‘workout’ app instead. I use the app Workout on the regular which is great for techniques and workouts (most is free there is a paid training program though) and was mainly looking for a different program. Volt is absolutely horrible, not only are the workouts horribly illustrated, the whole interface has much to be desired. Not worth paying for, it’s laggy and a disgusting concept

5 stars if.... I would give you guys 5 stars if you made it available to download on my Apple Watch, see the sets, reps, and the movement, also timer on the watch it would just make it so much easier at the gym

In a password crash loop. During the onboarding setup I entered a password and the app crashed. Second onboarding attempt it says my email is in use so I’m assuming the account was successfully created. I use my password to log in and finish the sign-up... crashes the app again. Kinda useless app to me now. Hopefully the team can fix this bug.

Apple Watch app needed. I really like the app and workouts. Easy to use and customizable. But badly needs an Apple Watch companion for logging, don’t like having to pull my phone out after each set.

Great app. Easy to follow

Good app but not « perfect ». Perfection means the best you can do for now. I think that it can be better like the adjustment for the intensity can be made higher. Because of Cortex, maybe it’s taking time to her to adapt to what I want. So, for a training app, it is VERY good!

QUESTION. Do you need to pay to use this app?

Great data feedback. Worth it. Easy to adapt to the app

Only show information if you set your credit card. It is one of those apps that makes you put down all you information. As soon as you finish all the work they’ll ask for a credit card other wise you won’t see anything. Just ridiculous. Not worth it.

Waiste of Money. I have never had an app this useless downloaded. If you’re looking for a workout app use a free download and save your money

SCAM-buyer beware!!. They send you an email with a link to unsubscribe or review your subscription but the link does not work!! They make it impossible to cancel, they just keep charging your card!!!

Doesn’t work. I bought by accident and now the app doesn’t even open so I can cancel it. ?????

Helpful!. Thanks for creating this. Perfect for getting game ready for my soccer season. Please make an Apple Watch app to go with it. Would be even more awesome !

No way to use the app if you don’t pay. Don’t even download this. You can’t use the app if you don’t buy the program unless you subscribe the 7 day trial that will renew your annual subscription automatically after. Just list your app as a paid app in the first place, not fooling your users. And only imperial units are available? Come on!

Not user friendly. Just absolutely not user friendly. Can’t modify parts or all of the workout without wanting to smash your phone. Using it for a charity work competition and I do not love it.

Presque parfait. Il manque juste un paramètre pour contrôler la durée de l’entraînement. Si non ce serait 5*!

Best workout app and worth the money. I was a regular user of another popular fitness app until I discovered VOLT. First of all, it's science based and designed for athletes - who most of us want to look like aesthetically anyway. It also gives you an adaptative workout that is pretty customizable with options, while staying sport specific. While I don't play a sport, I've always wanted a Rugby type of body so I chose the Rugby option and followed the workouts. Also, the primers, finishers etc are amazing. The mass builder ones are really challenging at the end of a workout. I do wish though the finishers and primers section were interactive tabs as opposed to essentially just a stationary picture with instructions. It's annoying trying to click on them and toggle through the different options back and forth. My only other complaint is that when the rest timer finishes there should be an option to have an audible beeping noise so that I'm aware the timer finished. Users shouldn't be expected to state at the app the entire duration of the rest period. But otherwise a phenomenal app and I really really loved the periodized and personalized approach this takes.

Very clean simple and well designed. Loved this app. Instructions are clear and I like the fact that the weights adjust according to my progression. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because I wish I could have more than 3 workouts per week.

What a Scam!. Before you can see what the app is like on the inside. You have to add a 15 step info about you. Name last name email etc... nothing is free. Terrible, slow, badly illustrated. I have an app I paid 6$ and it has EVERYTHING you could want. They didn't ask me for one personal information. They want your credit card. Don't trust this app! Avoid!!! Beware! Warned!

Best workout app ever created. It’s just like having someone standing with you while you workout. I hurt my back at work and when an exercise hurt, you just hit replace and it gives you a list of options that work the same muscle groups but in different ways. Absolutely love it.

Review. Honestly, this app is good for people new to the gym life, for kids that want to enhance thereby technique in Any sport!

Very Buggy. Workouts are well made, but when you manually adjust the weights or reps the app gets very glitchy and stops working. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED!

Excellent for starters. I've just started going to the gym and this app makes me feel more comfortable since it gives me the exercises and how to do them. the only downside i have is that you need internet and the gym internet isnt very good so you have to use data sometimes.

Doesn’t have my sport. So I horse back ride (hunters pace) and it doesn’t have anything even for general riding. I can’t even sign up, because I can’t select my sport. I’d probably use this app in the future if it does eventually put my sport down. Smh I’m just tired of my field of practice not being recognized as any other sport.

A bit expensive but worth it imo. I get bored with doing the same workouts all the time. The fact that this app generates the workout for you and you can substitute one movement for another if you’re bored with it or don’t like it is perfect. The app is a bit pricy as it has a monthly cost but if you used to play a sport and you want to stay in shape without scrounging for a program on the net this is perfect.

Good start. Great app. Perhaps a tweak by adding detailed nutritional plans and having a rest timer that can be set after the workout is completed. Keep up the great work Volt team!

best training app. volt is the best training app available by far !!!!!

Misleading. I hate seeing ads for apps saying that it’s free and then as soon as you download the app, go through the hassle of putting in all your information and give them your email which they will now spam, then they want you to pay 13$ a month. Would give negative stars if I could

App is ok but..... Should say membership paid every 4 weeks not monthly. Also, timer being shown on lock screen for tests would be helpful

Volt review. Arguably the best workout app around. Particularly helpful since it helps you get more done in less time and it’s also easy to use.

One of the BEST!. This is a great app, I have been using it on and off for a few years now. I only give it 4 starts because I wish there was an option to create body weight workouts that incorporated the common calisthenics equipment, basically making a training routine that is for calisthenics athletes that doesn’t use weights but uses dip bars and pull up bars. If they were to add that this app would truly have it all.

Phenomenal workouts. These workouts are tough! I really like how they walk you through each exercise and check-in on the difficulty. Plus, there are a ton of great exercises for other components of health besides strength (i.e. knee/shoulder stability). I highly recommend this app if you’re looking to improve strength and stay healthy (aka everyone)

It gets the job done.. Really like the premise at how it builds a workout to your needs. If I had any negative feedback, I would say it doesn’t let you track how easy or difficult the specific workouts were so that you are able to look back at the history and adjust when you see the workout again. Other than that. It’s great.

Great but running into some issues.. I’m trying this app for a month. It’s been really great. But running into some problems. 1: I can’t view historical of the weight reps I did in previous workouts. This should be given. Example: I didn’t add in a hang strength number so the workout didn’t give me weight to do. I did the exercise and added the weight manually. In the workout this week I can’t see the weight I did?? 2: Along with first problem. Would like to see a full detail of what I did (weights and reps) for every workout. 3: If I manually put in a higher weight for an exercise, the history still shows the weight Volt told me to do. This is most frustrating... Please update these. If I’m going to continue paying for subscription this is basic. What I like: 1: Easy to change workouts. 2: Variety if workouts.

Extremely unethical business/app. I canceled my account within the trial period because I did not think these workouts were very challenging. I was still charged 9.99 even thought I canceled within the trial period. Additionally, it is pretty challenging to find where to cancel - the company does everything it can to get the money out of you, and even when you do everything to cancel, you are still charged. I even reached out to the support email provided by the app developers and they did not even respond to my issue at all - no email back whatsoever. Very disappointed and know never to get anything related to this app and its developers again.

Volt for Baseball. My son has been using the app now for about 6 months. The flexibility and diversity of workouts has been amazing. I love the adaptability of the app to be able to change lifts for equipment I do not own. He has made major gains in a short period and this app is more than I could have expected at a 10th of the price of a trainer. If you have an athlete or are an athlete you should give Volt a look.

Nice, with room for improvement. Provides a structured workout for each day. Very structured, no option to set a desired duration or focus area within daily workouts. I haven’t seen a way to schedule in endurance training in Volt. It is good for strength, but seems to ignore the fact that endurance training is a big part of conditioning. I’ve used Volt only two days, with other days of endurance training mixed in between. Volt seems to be effective, I am getting a good strength workout, and I feel the effects of sore muscles the next day as I’m building up to the new strength routine.

Great app!. I love this app. I saw a lot of improvements in my strength and chronic pain, only had to stop temporarily due to pregnancy complications. I’m excited to jump back in! The biggest improvement I’m looking for is the ability to write notes on each exercise, and to specify a band color/ strengths. As others have noted, it would be nice to be able to add in decimals to weights.

Missing a key feature. I’ve used FitBod for a few months and love it. This app is superior in terms of creating a multi week fitness program however it lacks a key feature I really appreciated in FitBod. FitBod allows you to log workouts besides those generated by the app. For example: if I run on an off day I can log it in FitBod so that my next workout is adjusted based on recent muscle use.

Great app and workout. I had to make a change to my workout routine due to a work change and had been struggling to workout effectively. The app has been able to help me get a good routine going that both helps burn calories and build strength. Its easy to use and like how it adjusts to your performance as you go. Only thing I wish they would add is an available equipment option when replacing movements so when I'm at home our traveling it would be easier to adapt to what I have.

Amazing App. This is an amazing app that takes everyday workouts that can you can do in a gym and incorporate them anywhere. I have been lifting for about 2-3 months now. This app is also really good to track all of your weight. The only thing that is a con about this app is that you cannot do half of a pound. So if you wanted to do 12.5 pound DB curls, you would have to put in there 13 pounds.

Ex collegiate Athlete. I’ve never been an advocate for apps, or anything really. But, I tell everyone about this app. It’s takes the guess workout of your fitness journey. I like the percentages and tonnage to keep you honest with yourself. It adds that bit of competitiveness with yourself, the only person you should be competing with anyway. It’s the real deal and the whole package. Totally worth the less than $.50 a day.

Mostly pretty good. So, I’m not the most athletic person in the world. That part’s true. I feel as though Volt is going to help me out in the future with it. Seems trustworthy. There’s just one thing I’d like to recommend about the sports selection: Marching Band should be on the list too. I mean, that’s the sport I play. If “Obstacle Course Racing” is on the list, then Marching Band should be too, because it’s as much a sport as any other one on the list provided. Other than that, I’m excited to start giving it a try!

Great App!. Going through my daily routine and work I don’t want to have to make up or search for a consistent workout. Volt makes it easy to just come into the gym and knock out a real workout. The only reason it is not a 5/5 stars is because it doesn’t have Apple Watch capacity. It’d be nice to not have to leave my phone in the locker room and monitor my workout on the watch. Other than that I recommend the app to everyone who asks!

Great App. I play American football and I usually have a trainer that I work with when I am home. Ive been recruited to play internationally and am playing overseas so this app has become my guidance for what to do in my workouts. I have been using it for 4 months now and its been great. Ive achieved new personal bests in all my lifts. I think its a great app and I recommend it to anybody looking to make improvements.

Incredible App but.... This is an absolute game changer of an app. It’s sleek, it’s clean and it delivers on its promises to build workouts around you. I would keep using this app, but it’s missing a key feature for me: Offline Mode Most of the gyms I go to are in dead zones and this app becomes completely unusable in those areas. It crashes, or completely resets your workout. My solution, was to write down everything it expected from me while I was in the gym and then input it afterwards, but that became a burden after a while. My proposal is the ability to use this app completely offline, store the information locally and next time the user is online then send that information. For now, I will not be able to continue use of this app. They are doing an incredible job though!

Ever fitness need in an app.. I love everything about this app. It scales properly to how difficult the weight feels for me. It keeps a history of the reps and weight I have done for each exercise. This has saved me so much time in not having to write my own work outs and has me coming home feeling well worked. Everything I used to do with pen and paper has been digitized into this app. Again, I love everything about it.

Epic workout app. I can now modify the weight and/or sets' values without the UI shifting upwards. I assume the latest iOS update fixed the problem since I didn't get a notification to "update" the Volt app. Very glad that the app is back to normal working condition. Outside of the UI issue, my experience with Volt has been phenomenal. One thing I would really like this app to provide us a way to have a work out program that doesn't necessarily have to be sport-specific, but maybe goal oriented: lose weight, increase stamina or cardio, gain vertical reach, increase balance, etc., stuff like that. --- Prior 1-star review-- Great app but I can no longer modify the weight and/or sets' values, if I edit them the UI shifts upwards and can no longer see the interface. Anyone else having this issue?

Overall Great App. As a military member I personally enjoy this app a lot makes me workouts easy to follow and I enjoy doing them knowing they are serving a real purpose. The only drawback of this app is the lack of a nutrition plan along with those workouts supporting what you do in the gym . Although there videos of recommended post and pre workout meals and things of that nature it isn’t layed out like I’m normally used to . Other than that I would highly recommend this app !

All marketing, sleazy subscription ripoff. This app has great UI design and looks beautiful. Unfortunately that has nothing to do with the content. The workouts are too fluffy and they very obviously buried their subscription mode to try to rip people off for $70. This is the only app on my phone that doesn’t show up in Settings>list of apps. Why? Because then you could easily unsubscribe before they stole your money. Instead they buried it in App Store>(click on your profile)>Settings>Personalized Recommendations>Subscriptions. Which after a few seconds of loading screen will take you to a page specifically for unsubscribing before they charge you $70 in 2 weeks. Scammy, dirty, all fluff, no filler. No thanks.

Love this app!. I’m a 48 year old woman and have been doing the Lean & Toned part of the app for almost 6 months now. I love it and started seeing results after only a few weeks. I do the workouts every other day and have yet to get bored. This is the longest I have kept up an exercise program. I actually look forward to working out. I workout at home so love the option of being able to replace certain exercises due to lack of equipment. Absolutely no complaints.

GOAT of all workout apps. Volt has increased my max strength numbers and muscle size by far better than any other program I’ve used. All my maxes have increased into elite numbers. Being a post-bacc student, finding time to lift can be difficult, but with Volt the 3 days/wk, intense football workouts do the job. Highly enjoy the ability to swap out exercises when my gym doesn’t have the equipment. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to take their workouts to the next level!

Don’t believe the hype. Perhaps if you’re experienced and feel the need to throw another exercise app into your mix, you could purchase this app. However, if you are new or not sure what you are doing, this app gives you no guidance. What if you can’t do any of the exercises? The reply will always be you should lose weight or try harder. True, I should lose weight, but that’s what this app is supposed to help me with. what is the purpose of being forced to purchase something which isn’t functional for you? Predatory purchasing scheme. There are a lot of other apps just as expensive or cheaper which you could purchase and have a better experience.

Nearly Perfect. I used this app for around a year before the gyms closed due to quarantine. Now that gyms are “back” I decided to go back to my old routine and the app hasn’t change much, which is not necessarily a bad thing. This app is great, don’t get me wrong, but there are a few things that would make it excellent. The biggest one for me is Apple Watch integration. It feels silly to need to start a workout in your watch at the same time you start the workout in Volt for you to see your heart rate and calories burnt. Regardless, as mentioned, the app is great (specially for that price). For what it cost you to get one training session you can get three months of Volt, and this is where Volt shines the most. I’ve trained with trainers and this comes pretty close to that. Ultimately, I’m happy to be back and I’ll stick around for a while. P.S. Please add Apple Watch support :)

Awesome results!. This app has saved me time and helped me see huge results at the gym. My only compliant is that the groups are often paired with a cable exercise and a free weights exercise. This is just not feasible in most gyms, as it is difficult to alternate back and forth between the weights and cables in one set. Also wish there was a Apple Watch app to go along with this. Otherwise, the app has been a game changer and I will continue to use it!

Overall happy. I like the workouts, however, if I went to the gym, it would be hard to do some of these sets as they aren’t like equipment, so you would be running back and forth to areas. I do them from home, which works good except I’m having to switch out at least one exercise due to not having the right equipment. I’m buying stuff slowly but surely and it isn’t the end of the world, just presents a challenge. I also wish there was a cool down/stretch.

4 stars for now, but so close to 5. I love volts current capabilities. The interface is beautiful and the breadth of lifts is substantially better than competing apps. That being said, to get to 5 stars I think Volt should give each athlete the option of how many lifting days they want. Currently, there is only 3 days where your lifts are actively tracked and structured. I would love to see 5 day programs that track exactly as the current 3 day programs. Thanks for everything you do Volt!

Long time Volter. I’ve been using this app for probably 2-3 years at this point and has made some awesome progress. However after the recent large update I think the tracking has been messed up. Some of my exercises don’t register previous exercise data. For example last week I did incline bench for 10 reps at X weight. But this week it’s saying I haven’t done the movement yet so try my best so cortex can calculate. But if you look in the history my previous info is there.

Phenomenal. I have been working out for some time now, and have tried many other apps. This app is hands down the best app I have used. I don’t have to bother with paper or making my own workout. Possibly the best feather is the AI software built into the app, which simultaneously collects the data from your workout and puts it into your history, for PR purposes. Fantastic job Volt team!

App is Great, Aside From One Major Problem I’m Having. I went to update my season info for basketball, and now the app says, “You do not currently have training. Please update your training calendar to continue.” I know it’s the app and not anything I put in as well, because I can go on the Volt Website and access my workouts, just not on the app; it’s extremely inconvenient, and I really hope I can get it fixed as soon as possible.

Very good, but still could use some updates. The app is very good. Great variety of training plans and exercises. Would like to see the ability to tailor how many days a week available to train, in addition to the desired length of workouts, and the flexibility to delete a particular lift if short on time for the day. Keep up the good work Volt.

Good App but lacks key features. I would first like to say that you guys have some of the best workout program. Very well constructed and challenging. I have used other paid apps like IFit and I must say that the app and workouts are pretty good. The app is simple and easy to navigate. Now; the disappointing part of my review. 1) NO Calorie Tracker or estimation - I like the toning related stats but calorie estimation or tracker is a basic feature that each fitness app should have esp in Weight Loss programs. 2) No Time tracker on how much time did it take to complete a program. 3) No Audio to help guide or explain the exercise. 4) App required me to watch it all the time as there are no audio guide. 5) The recalibration of the program doesnt allow the days to be skipped and doesn’t track previous completed workout history. OVERALL; excellent product with great potential but app interface lacks basic features. I hope my feedback helps.

Great workout app. Would give it 5 stars but in my opinion it’s missing one thing, a total workout timer I’d like to know how long my workout was I know it’s petty to ask for but add that and this app would be the perfect workout companion/trainer. Also is there any way that you guys would update the app for users to created their own workouts like an upper lower split or push pull legs and use your algorithm to break through plateaus?

Great! but.... I have been using this app for 3 weeks now, and I think it’s amazing. The workouts are great, if I don’t have a certain equipment I can easily switch out the exercise for something else. However I really wish it would link to my Apple Watch, I have to go back and forth and it would be easier if it was all in one spot. Otherwise I think it is really going to help me get ready for my freshman year of College Soccer.

An Absolute Game Changer. Volt is far and away the best workout app I could ask for. As a former collegiate golfer, and now professional, Volt is exactly what I was looking for. My workouts are sport specific, the A.I. technology knows how to adjust to my strength gains, and the different blocks are timed perfectly for my competitive and non competitive times of year. Anyone looking to take the next step in their fitness, where sport specific or not, needs to get Volt!

Overview/preview. I love this app. Been using it for a year now and I feel great. An update a few months ago changed the overview/preview of what my workout will be from day-to-day. In the past it would show the overview of every exercise for the day. Now it only shows the first two exercises. It order to see everything for that day I now have to select workout preview and scroll through the whole workout. Of course that is not hard to do, just annoying.

Great Platform, buggy version. Overall, this has been my favorite workout platform for the long haul and some of the changes in the latest version are really good. However, this version is buggy for sure. It keeps not downloading information for specific exercises and won’t do so unless I actually uninstall the app and reinstall. Nothing else seems to fix it, like there’s a cache or refresh issue that won’t allow new data. Didn’t happen til this version with a new iPhone 14.

Thank you, from an athlete. This is the app I wish existed for the longest time. One that adapts to my strength over time, and give me focus when I'm at the gym. My biggest struggle at the gym was not having a program to help me build towards my goals (and also help me figure out my goals). I can't afford a trainer right now and this is exactly what I needed to keep my motivation up and my accountability high. The UI is intuitive and the functionality fits my needs. Keep up the great work.

Perfect app for athletes of all ages. I’m in my late 20’s and I have been looking for an athletic training program for a while and finally found it with Volt. Athletic performance trainers are a fortune and I was sick of doing the same old bodybuilding style lifting in the gym. I wanted to bring back the style of workouts I used to do during my time in college athletics. Volt is extremely easy to use and caters to all aspects of athletic performance from strength and endurance to agility and mobility. I definitely would recommend Volt to any athlete young and old.

Stop Reading and Just Download it!. I never leave these iTunes reviews. But I just had to come leave one this time. I saw an ad on Instagram of all places and decided to give this a shot. I. Love. It! It pushes you out of your comfort zone and if you’re not careful will make you stronger and quicker! Only thing I wish is that I could choose to have 4/5 workouts a week instead of 3. Love. Love. Love this app!

Great App. It’s a great app. One complaint is that sometimes my gym does not offer the equipment needed to complete the workouts. I know there is a replacement option, but I like to just do some workouts. Also think it would be cool if under the information button during the workout they added exactly what muscles I’m working out(prefer image, but just listing the muscles would be chill too).

Lose Fat, Gain Muscle + Fast & Efficient Training. The best fitness app! I’ve done all the popular programs, but this was the perfect transition from strength training into something dynamic + functional! The AI truly gets my strength + adjusts based on my mood and sleep. I’m a busy entrepreneur so my morning AM workouts are crucial for efficiency. I do enough thinking in the day so it’s great this is programmed for ME. Some days I like switching up the exercises and have a whole category to choose from within their “replace exercise” menu!

Great app. I tried writing my own programs for a while and it wasn’t successful. Volt has given me workouts with a purpose that I know are helping me make progress. I really like that it constantly adjusts the workouts based on how you perform. The only critique I have would be to make the demonstration video clips match the description for each workout.

Awesome app, a tiny horrible feature. This app is awesome, I loved it until noticed one small “feature” which made me cancel my subscription. Unfortunately you only get 3 workouts a week and if you finish them early (which is very easy to do), you cannot get another workout until the next week. This was disappointing to find out as I was looking forward to train with this app. Please change, I don’t understand why this “feature” is part of the app. I would happily subscribe again if I can move at my own pace. The cortex AI is awesome btw

No go. Horrible app, be careful when you try and make an account to access your free seven day trial. I was making the account when I experienced a technical issue, moments after a I put in my debit card info. I closed out and I had to restart the process. This time I used a different email when setting up the account. Though I was able to use the 7 day trial with the alternate email, the first account, the one I nearly finished, must’ve some how been registered. I cancels my trial days before the 7 day period just to be safe and I’ve been charged twice since that issue. I don’t even use the app! I DELETED IT! WHY AM I BEING CHARGED! And then getting a hold of them is even worse. No support at all. F$&@ this app!

Only 3 workouts a week?. Really liking this app. Only one I’ve found so far that generates sport-specific workouts. My only issue is that it only generates three workouts a week. I know I can do way more than that and I wish there was an option to generate more/less workouts per week to fit different people’s schedule and desired intensity. Though I should clarify I haven’t used the app past the trial week yet so maybe it changes the workouts per week as you progress.

Four stars but want it to be five stars. I really love this program. For $10, it’s great that you can get a program that calculates your weights and offers tons of replacement movements. I really appreciate how it takes into account mood, soreness, etc. My only critique is that I wish it offered four or five day workout options. I also wish it had more dynamic stretching options so I could use that on my stretch/rest days.

A fantastic program. I am active duty military and in my particular job physical fitness is paramount. It is difficult, however, to stick to something for very long due to extended field ops, deployments, and just general operation tempo. Volt is a perfect fit for me, and I have since gotten my wife into it as well (also military). Improvements: -It wasn’t for a couple months after I had purchased that I noticed the “extras” in the bottom of workout overviews (near the Gatorade hub). Things like speed and agility, additional strength training, and cool-downs live there and I now utilize them often. Maybe find a way to implement these features more front-and-center, because they are appreciated! -Understanding that the workouts are built in such a way that there are only three training sessions a week, but perhaps give specific active recovery days workouts as well, suggesting them based on the workout.
