Needs a manual. This may be an awesome app, but I wouldn’t know. After paying for it I can’t figure out the interface at all. Absolutely no help on the developer website or in app. Even something as simple as setting. The shutter speed is ridiculously confusing and frustrating. Very disappointing.

Don’t purchase. This ap crashes every time I push the record button it’s truly a bad buy and extremely frustrating I reinstalled it many times and it never fails to disappoint when it crashes

My video is ruined.... The only reason why I purchased this app is because of its ability to record in anamorphic (2:40) mode. I used iPhone 8+ to record my cousin’s wedding and I was extremely upset that the first batch of my video (worth 90 minutes of recording) was ruined. The video looks squeezed and weird. Unacceptable and extremely upsetting. Thank goodness I stopped and reviewed that batch before I continued to shoot another scene. I turned off the anamorphic feature and all was perfect. Please fix this. Anamorphic feature would be amazing on this app

Two weeks using Promovie Recorder. I am very happy with this app. It optimizers the iphone’s camera far more then the standard recorder that Apple provides. The price is very reasonable as well. I have a few feature suggestions for the producer but no complaints with the app. 1) a start/stop record timer function 2) flash brightness control 3) 100+ frames per second in 4K for newer devices (if that’s achievable that is)

Don’t buy if you already have pro movie. I bought the Pro Movie app and then saw the Pro Movie + app and bought it too, thinking there was a difference. There isn’t. They are both the same. So do like I did and buy both. Also, I have messaged the developers through the message portion inside the app and have not gotten one reply. I have to say I love both Pro Movie and Pro Movie + but since they are the same app, it’s not surprising. I just wish I’d done more research and just bought one of them not both.

False Feature Advertising; DO NOT BUY. In Texas you might be in trouble for recording the police audio as a bistander due to wiretap laws and their expectation of privacy; ( video only part is covered by the 1st amendment) so I bought the app to drop the gain and not record audio. The app will not let you use it without the iPhone microphone access, and with that enabled it will not give you access to the microphone gain as the advertised feature I want my money back, so not waste yours

Real quality. I was relying on another app for my needs by chance returned to this app. Definitely going to be my go to again 4K resolution on iPad Pro is definitely hi def when viewed on my Mac mini.

Great but could use an upgrade in export accessibility.. Out of the box, it’s exactly what I needed. My only qualm is that I can’t get the video exporting to work on my camera roll or when I iTunes file share on my Mac it doesn’t play properly. I read it’s because of the 4:3 aspect ratio I shot in but there must be an easier way to export videos to other platforms. The features on this app are exhaustive but if the accessibility was sufficient the developers could charge 5$

Hate this ap. The review button won’t stop popping up while I’m trying to work so you get a 2. Trying for 15 mins to download footage with no success. Might have gotten a better review if the ap was not so annoying in demanding a review. Use filmic pro instead

Very good app , missing 2 features. I love the app, but there is two features missing : CONTRAST and COLOR SATURATION the app will be the best i never seen if this two features were available

Good app. This is a very good app, lot of basic features and easy to use, only it would be great if it could record the audio in stereo. I tried various recording audio formats and it always gave a mono audio result on my videos. Is there a soon update for this issue? Would greatly appreciate the stereo feature.

Great app....but. Love it. However, I worry that now that Apple is killing iTunes, how will we be able to transfer full quality videos for editing. When I first downloaded, that was in the instructions for being able to transfer full quality. If you share from the app, it lessens the quality.

Didn’t know what I was missing. I love being able to lock in some of my video settings like white balance and ISO. Video looks great now! Very well done.

Just when I thought this app wouldn’t get updated anymore. Thank you for the latest update and for finally supporting multi-lens iPhone models. But I have a concern. Is it technically impossible to have manual focus controls while on triple lens mode? If it is, how about having a dual lens mode (wide + telephoto)? Kudos!

Great Product. This product works well and does everything I need and more. My only gripe is that you cannot save your camera settings(I have to readjust white balance, zoom, etc. each time I open the app. This is a minor issue -probably a non-issue for most but I film in a controlled environment so readjusting the settings each time can feel arduous.

Great app, needs a timeline bookmark feature. It would be very useful to have a bookmark button that would timestamp the video for easy access to that point after recording is done. That way, if there are points to crop out or save to a separate clip, it’s much easier to find.

Recording. Great camera for recording games, make sure you have enough memory. Will not pause and re-record. Will make a new video.

Best app for Cinematography. Period. Amazing app. Zero film grain which is wonderful. Unlike the Apple default camera app which lately adds a yellowish tint and filmgrain to all 4K / 60fps videos. This app on the iPhone is as good as it gets and supports 40/60Fps. Easily worth $50. The iPad version doesn’t support 4K/60fps but the iPad does have the 4K / 60 FPS resolution camera. Weird. The white balance control is the best I have ever used. Needs updated but easily the best video recorder app in the App Store. Saving / exporting videos to the camera roll is a breeze.

This is almost better than Filmic Pro/Filmic Legacy but…. It needs some more manual control, color settings, focus peaking, etc. We also need to be able to adjust the exposure independent of Shutter and ISO.

Change layout for Vertical shooting. Why is the layout/interface automatically in horizontal? I wish the developers would change it so when you rotate, we can see the buttons in vertical. It’s 2024 so many creators are creating in vertical! Please update with this🙏great app otherwise

GREAT...But needs more functionality updates. LOVE this app. From the perspective of filming it is a beautifully economic option for getting high bitrate video and the 4:3 12MP mode is a godsend. What I will say is the way settings are locked needs an overhaul. The settings don’t seem to truly lock, and I find myself fiddling with the scroll wheels to get my shutter speed specific. If the numbers could be plugged in, saved and then loaded as presets it would be a perfect app from a filming POV. I would love to see the other two lenses included in the app but I understand if there are tech limitations to that. I hope they keep pushing the bitrates higher and higher (compression is the biggest limit of phone videography). As for the back end: love the way the files are named. BUT, my biggest gripe with the app is there is no good way to transfer footage to your computer now that iTunes is deprecated. Eventually it will not work. I would love to see the devs record video onto a folder that can be accessed through the Files app. But that side of the app needs to be updated. Regardless, big fan. Please keep updating it

Hey Developers! Please HELP! Can’t find footage.. I purchased the app even though there doesn’t seem to be any difference whatsoever between the paid app and the free app. I like to support developers who offer you free use and don’t slam you with a whole bunch of ads and what not. Since this developer did that I had no problem buying the paid version. However I’m really frustrated because I did record some great shots for a Stop Motion animation I’m working on right now and I can’t find them. I worked for hours and hours and they’re just gone. When you book studio time and have people you’re paying to be there and then you lose the footage, well let’s just say I wanted to cry. Now I have to come up with the money to redo all of it using a different app or a handheld camera the only reason I wanted to use an app in the first place was so I didn’t have to stop recording and load a video and go back-and-forth messing with it. Unfortunately I think that’s what I’m gonna we’ll have to wait I’m doing anyway. If the developers still check this and you could respond with a way for me to locate an archive or draft folder or anything similar that I’m just not seeing, that be great. I will change this to a five star review and sing your praises. But in the meantime I got to go re-record several hours of video so I’m a little bit grumpy right now

Good Stuff. As a lifelong filmmaker, I am very impressed with this software. It allows for ample control of camera functions especially exposure and focus. At the 24fps setting footage looks very nice. Wish it had slo-mo but very good stuff.

Update. When can we expect to get log capability and gimbal support, we also need ProRes

Used to be great, skip it if you have iOS 13. Until iOS 13 came around, this app was amazing. I bought the upgraded version and used it all the time. Now I get focus pulsing whenever I shoot, and I noticed it’s been over a year since this company did any upgrades. I sent an email inquiry to their support and never heard back. I Don’t recommend this!

Unusable crashing trash. Used to be great, I loved recording at 1080p 240 fps. Now the app just crashes every time I press record. Even trying to write a review for this app has my phone on bed rest….. fix the stuff we pay for, or at least take provide us with a legacy update or something…..,

It’s okay. Love the app, offers more features than the standard camera app BUT it’s not easy to close out of the app! Why??? It’s like I have to shut my phone down to close out the app!!!

Cannot use inside camera. I just purchased this app after watching reviews online, which show an icon at the top to flip from outside to inside camera. I'm using the iPhone 6s Plus and after installing I do not see any option to change from outside camera to inside camera. Is there a way to do this?

Was great.. post iOS 11 issue. I loved this app. Naked LOVED as in past tense. After updating to iOS 11 there is now a think green bar (or line) st the top edge of the video frame. I assume this will be corrected with updates.

If you can’t upload, why bother?. The app takes great video, but be prepared to only be able to enjoy the results on the original device. It is so difficult to transfer the resulting files through any service or medium, I think that may actually have been the original purpose of the app: An arcane, daemonic trap designed to contain any creative output —- and, to grasp it in dead withered hands at all cost. Don’t buy this app, and don’t download if free. Whatever the price, it won’t outweigh your bitter tears.

Does NOT save to your camera roll. Good luck finding what you’ve shot. So yea. This app can shoot nice videos. It has a lot of features useful to those who understand cameras - specifically those who understand principles of light. But WHY in gods name would they not automatically save the videos to your camera roll?!? WHY?!? Why would you make something that’s supposed to make filming better and easier (since the native iPhone video app is SO bad and lacks even the most basic of manual settings) only to NOT make the videos immediately accessible to the person? I’ve rated it a three. The app does great stuff. But enjoy reading through how you have to plug in your phone, or do some other more complex export JUST to see the video you JUST recorded. This was clearly written by programmers with absolutely no mind to UI usability and flexibility. There is NO compete team that would accept having to go through MORE steps just to access what the sole purpose of the app is for in the first place. I’m angry for having spent the money on this app and I’ve NO idea why this little fact isn’t highlighted first and foremost. And if the developers are so sure that their more convoluted file saving method is so great, then wonderful! List it as the FIRST feature. But I think we all know it’s NOT a good thing and all they’ve done is replace one set of problems with another.

Photo/Video Recovery. Can someone tell me how to recover my photos and videos that were once on this app? I removed the app at one point and decided to add it back. Now my photos and videos are no where to be found. I did purchase the plus version as well. Help please.

Great video quality but not recognizing my external mic. I love this app in terms of the video quality. But I'm trying to get it to recognize my external mic, and it won't. It would be great to have a feature to calibrate it with a Bluetooth mic or a regular plug in mic!

No option to clear cache. Don’t know why I bought this app as well being it’s the exact same one as the other one. Save you time and save your space on your device and don’t download this 3.3mb app. Even if you have zero projects in your folder you will have 20 gigs of space took up. Like why?

Best movie filmmaker app for the IPhone. Wow everything is right at your finger tips great job on the UI!!!!! All the settings are so easy to access and verify.

Great But. I can not screen mirror with the videos using Apple TV It will play the sound but not the picture

Amazing. The cameras in the new iPhones are incredible, but lack control. This app is seriously amazing. Manual adjustment of resolution, ISO, shutter speed, white balance, and focus, and it all locks in so you don’t get variance while recording. This should be bundled with every iPhone. Worth every penny if you want control over your iPhone’s video and photo.

Good app, but BAD for business. While this app creates great footage, I’ve found it borderline impossible to share said video across any platform. I was able to upload to my own computer with fairly little trouble, but once I tried to get it to my boss, I found myself struggling to find ANY way to get it to him; first, I tried sharing via Dropbox, google drive, iCloud, you name it- NOTHING worked. From there I was forced to give him a flash drive with the video files- they refused to play for him. Cut to now, as I’m sitting at his TWO computers, both of which I connected my phone to via iTunes and tried to upload the clips. And yet, they still refuse to play. I am very frustrated and there is nothing online describing a similar issue. Help would be appreciated.

Ruined my plans. Downloaded the original app from my iCloud onto a 7+ . The app shuts down every time I hit record. I tried switching settings (frame rate , mbps,etc) and that does nothing . I tried restarting the phone as well as deleting and re-downloading the app. None of this fixed the issue. My iOS is current enough and the app says it supports my phone. My last attempt to fix this was downloading pro+ ...naturally , I had the same problem. The app stilled crashes when i hit record . I’m trying to use this on a trip and now I have no options.. Can’t find any troubleshooting for this app anywhere. How do I fix this?? Extremely frustrated ...

Paired with binaural mic/headphones.. wow!. Surprisingly this video recorder recognized SceneDAC (Scenes Lifelike VR recording headphones) binaural mic headphones. Sounds amazing compare to any dedicated audio recorder on iOS. Saying that, is there a way to turn off the video and record just binaural audio? or, how about creating an app just for binaural 3D audio. Thanks.

I’m liking it but….. Is there no delay timer? I would like to get in position prior to the video recording starting. I don’t see any sort of timer to allow this. I will update to five stars if that is there and I’m just not seeing it.

As an amateur, this makes me look like a pro!. I love, love, love this app. I just started learning how to edit videos so I could start making short movies for my family and our trips, holidays and events together. I am not fluent in any kind of way with different manual settings and manipulation of exposure, white balance, etc, but this app is so easy to use and practice with to finally get to the settings I want and the quality of the videos I can now edit and put together are stunning. It’s truly hard to believe the videos recorded with this one iPhone X. I use this app with a gimbal and voila, it’s like recording magic.

AWESOME!!. This app is amazing! It is one of the only apps I bothered to pay for and this app is well worth it! It allows me to record 3K on both my iPhone 6 and also my iPad 5!! AWESOME!!

App is ok. Main issue I have is that if power goes down to 20% it stops recording even if low power mode is turned off. Same with 10%. Major flaw which has ruined a few interviews.

Good app, but where’s the 4K 60fps?. This is a great app on my iPad Pro 11” 2018 but the base camera app has 4K 60 FPS. This only gives me the option of 30fps?

Not good. May as well just use your normal camera think about it, the normal camera and this one uses the same device and lense, what will change?

Mic issues. Would have given a good rating but the mic input kept switching on me during a big project and ruined my whole project so thanks for nothing. More bad feedback - app closes mid recording and I have no way of knowing when it stops. Wasting my time talking to a camera that’s not recording. Switching to filmic

Stops recording at battery levels. This recorder is fantastic but when the battery on the phone reaches 20% recording automatically stops. Same at 10%. It’s a real problem. I have lost critical footage on a number of occasions because of this. Please address!

Decent but.... I enjoy it and it has some decent features but their support email doesn’t work and it’s seems unlikely to support iPhone 12 features like Dolby HDR. Probably a dead app.

Apple Watch app doesn’t work. The Apple Watch app won’t connect to the iPhone app to kick off recording. It constantly says “not ready for recording”

Bad Import. I have had this app for a while now and when I import my audio is lagging. I have other apps and the built in camera app and I only have issues with this software. I also followed the import instruction and still I am experiencing issues.
