My First Gacha Game. Fate/Grand Order introduces me to gacha type of games. At first it took me awhile to understand what gacha meant and then it took me awhile to get used to the functionalities of the game. I knew about the Japanese version but since I don’t read Japanese I waited for the NA release. I have been playing since Launch Day (Day 1) and it took me about 5 months to pull my first 5* servant. I was able to complete the singularities and events using bronze and silver servants. I only had like three gold servants but they weren’t full ascended because of lack of materials. I did spend some money trying to get my favorite servants, some with no luck, but when they actually appear, it’s like winning the lottery. Overall I think it’s a great way to pass the time, especially if you love RPGs. Just have to work with what you have.

Never seen something like this.. Out of all tue gatcha games i have played, this one makes me feel the best. Why? Obviously because: 1- i like the anime, unfortunatelly if you dont like the anime then you will soon be living the game because it makes you work too much for an anime you consider second or third. 2- the care given to every character is priceless, i mean 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 stars and even the one that has no stars. They all have something to unravel. 3- all characters have 3 skins, when you ascend one time, you see another skin, the third time, another, the fourth, a new card picture. I was so excited to see my favorite go and look cooler and cooler and know more about him. (Even more than the anime) this happens with all rarities compared to other games that only has content for high stars. 4- customizable, even if you reach max level, if you dont like the skin you can change it back to the previous ones. There is no other game like this in the gatcha mobile games, at leas i have never seen it myself. 5- as hard as it gets, you still have the chance to make your dreams come true, if your favorite is medusa, a three star, when you max level her, you can keep going and increase her level cap, even higher to that of a five star level cap.

Immersive Story. While not your typical Gacha game since the Stars don’t determine Servants values (which is super nice) the best thing about this game is the story and animation efforts into the battles. It’s very well done. It’s visual novel format is one of my favorites as the players decide what dialogue to choose from (it doesn’t matter which until later where you won’t be able to skip). You can choose between Gudako (Girl) or Gudao (Guy) but no matter what, your servants have an attraction to you- ESPECIALLY THE FEMALE CHARACTERS. It’s great. As a female player myself, this sets apart other games I’ve played since I can play as a girl but flirt with the other female characters too without having to be a male character. It’s GREAT. Like any Gacha game though, obviously it’s a gamble to get your waifu/husbando, so hf with that. Gaining SQ takes time and effort and a whole lot of patience for a f2p. Which is fine! I’m having a lot of fun and it determines me to be ready for whatever comes when pulling and hope the RNG God bless you or else we’ll just have salty tears- on the bright side, if you roll 10, you’re guaranteed a 4 star, so it’s really not that bad.

Stop complaining about the gacha rates. There’s so many reviews on this game about how it’s bad because the gacha rates are terrible and it takes tons of money just to get a decent servant. First of all, 5* and 4* aren’t the only worthwhile servants in this game. Tons of the servants from the FRIEND POINT GACHA are easy to get and super good, like Hans(who’s a top tier caster despite being a 2* servant). While the 5* in the game are generally better when it comes to stats, stats aren’t everything in this game like most others. Most servants worth’s come from their skills and not their attack or HP stat. Each servant has a unique skill set and while some are better than others, it gives the low star characters a chance to shine through. If levels are bothering you so much then just use the grails that the game gives you for just going through the story. They permanently raise a servant’s level to make them even better. Also, to the guy who was getting NERO(one of the most unkillable characters in the game) killed during Okeanos while she was at max level, you’re not playing the game correctly. The story quests really don’t get all that tough until Camelot so you’re doing something wrong.

Cool game, but…. I have a few issues with it. First of all, craft essences should not be items you can get in the non-friend point Gacha. Especially in this thanksgiving one recently, I pulled approximately 95% craft essences, which were at least 70% 3* pulls, with only a few units that were almost all 3* units. This is a major issue. Also, the unit pull rates are far too low for the better units. I have no problem with the 5* units being so rare, but when the 4* units are debatably even more rare, that’s where the problem lies. It wouldn’t be a problem if you could get every unit at select rarities, but when you can’t even get units you like without throwing tons of money at the game, it is inexcusable. This would be fine IF the game featured a player vs player arena, where these characters could be used COMPETITIVELY. That would make this pull style acceptable. However, this game features NO COMPETITIVE ASPECT. It is absolutely ridiculous that players cannot even get access to the cooler units unless they unload their wallets to do so. I get you are a business, but come on. Treat your consumers better.

Just like previous fates, excellent! Oh besides FA. Fate Grand Order, an excellent Mobile game from type-moon, under fate background, just like normal card games, you use your servants to defeat enemies and get higher ranking servants by the time. But one most unique and attractive part to me was the servants are all the characters from different culture and history, like King Arthur and Merlin from English literature, or Karna and Arjuna from India myth, from the oldest king Gilgamesh to Holmes, the various types of characters really let people to enjoy and help them to better understand the history because the background stories are all realistic. Another important part of Fate Grand Order’s successful is because of the outstanding plot, it’s complexity and creative make me feel surprise and exciting for that. One last thing, when do Dr. Roman come out as servant, I really miss him.

Don’t Pay, Just Play. Love the Fate franchise and have enjoyed this game as much as any other thing Fate related, but one thing bothers me to my core that I can’t give this game a 5 star rating. Most games like this one always feel like pay to win or pay to get the next new characters released. This game in particular though is not worth paying for, the drop rate feels so one sided that all you’re going to end up with is a surplus of craft essence cards that are supposed to help boost your team. Your top tier character card pulls are so few and far between it’s criminal. That being said the game itself is fun, it’s involved and it can be enjoyable as long as you don’t get too hopeful about getting all those great 5 star attackers. Enjoy the game and play for fun, but don’t waste your money while the developers drop rate is so low it’s criminal. Wish I could give it 5 star review, morally can’t with how rigged the summon pulls are.

Pay to win?. Unlike what people have been saying, this game is not pay to win. I have dropped some money into it but all three times I rolled 5* servants (Rerolled during Gilgamesh banner), it’s been as free to play. Not to mention the game starts you out with at least one 4*, and more likely two if you got Saber Lily. If you were around in the beginning they even gave one for free. You can easily get Emiya or Heracles from the tutorial roll. These are very decent servants. If you want a waifu there’s also Martha. Not to mention there are many whales whom you can befriend and borrow their Waver. Also there are many good 3* servants like Cu Chulainn and Ushiwakamaru. So yeah, as long as you’re not jealous of your whale friends with 4 5* servants you REALLY don’t need to pay. Not in the least. I have other problems with the game, like the LOOONG down time we’ve been having, but this game is not, as many imply, pay to win. Don’t blame the casino if you can’t afford to gamble, that’s all.

Account recovery. For anyone it concerns, you can reach out to customer support and they can help get you your account back, speaking from personal experience. Drop rates can be hit/miss so if that’s your only reason for playing, you probably won’t like it here. The story is pretty entertaining especially compared to other gachas that primarily aim to cultivate gambling addictions and you have to be into that in order to enjoy the game. Some fights can be pretty hard to get done, but aside from challenge quests(which I haven’t seen in a while) you can still get by with story servants and friend servants(it’ll still be painstaking). All in all, it’s a game for FATE fans. You gotta want to play it lol. I also would recommend not buying SQ’s unless it’s for one of the guaranteed summons(unless of course you have the money to spare). Now is a pretty good time to get into it because you don’t have to wait for the story to come out, most of it is already done, so you can just play through. It can be pretty grindy if you really want to max everyone out but it’s not mandatory, I only go to those lengths for my favorites. For the best cost:performance ratio get skills to level 6 and NP’s to no more than 2/3. Also take advantage of those low star units, they can be really good. Nearly every premium unit has a free low star version that’s a lot easier to max out, and usually has a much higher NP gain rate.

Love the game. I love this game. From the battle system, to the gacha, to the servants you can obtain. While 5* servants are extremely hard to get you can get lucky sometimes. My only real complaint with the game is that all of the events that were really good have passed. For instance,I missed the Fate/Accel/Fate/Zero event, and it is an event I would really like to get the servants I missed, All of them and the irisviel dress of heaven servant. I can guarantee you that you will be gaining plenty of profits if you choose to bring back the WHOLE event, not just the gacha the main missions too. The gacha had many great servants to get too so you will get profit in return I’m positive. And since everyone liked Fate/Zero they will be instrested to try the gacha. Some will try more than others, give up and then pay for it. Please bring back this event and bring it back with the time length it originally had. Thank you. Please do this as soon as possible. And please localize is for the English version.

Fun game & good mechanic’s but super super slow. First let me say I love this game, I always have to start from stretch sometimes because I lose my info but I never mind because I highly enjoy this game and I’m a diehard for the series. I know you’ll see the two stars and think what’s wrong with the game and let’s cut to it the game is super slow. It’s no way to speed up the battles or the talking via the cutscenes. It’s all so slow even some of the lower budget games have a way to either speed up the battles or at least speed up the cutscenes. Most modern games or even older titles upgraded to the times and enabled the option to speed stuff up or downright skip cutscenes. I’ll never skip a cutscenes but I would love to speed up dialogue and the battles. A battle that could truly be done in 2mins could take 3-5 mins because of long times and before anyone says anything I’m on the IPHONE 12 Pro Max and Galaxy S20 Ultra. Please do something to change this it’s annoying and I’ve viewed Reddit groups and Facebook communities I’m not the only who has asked for this form of change or better yet update.

Whiners Everywhere. I’ve seen so many reviews whining about the drop rate of 5 star servants. 1.) I love this game. 2.) I’m f2p and have gotten 4 5 star servants from careful planning. It takes time. 3.) if you are a f2p player don’t complain about sq. Save and do research on who you want a chance at rolling for. We are 2 years behind the JP version and know when things will be released 2 years ahead of time. Again, save and plan. 4.) Even low star cards can be useful if you look up how to build good teams with them. Is it easier with 5 stars? Yes, but that doesn’t mean the game is impossible if you don’t have 5 stars and at least do a little research on team formation. This is coming from an f2p player. I’m really satisfied with this game and hope we get the sequel which is going to come out in Japan (or has it already come out?)

Garbage rates, outdated gameplay and visuals. With so many gacha games on the market, I really cannot fathom someone choosing to play Fate/Grand Order. First of all, the rates are garbage. Most gachas have rather low rates for rare units, but FGO takes this to such an extreme level that it’s downright ludicrous. I recently spent nearly 300 saint quartz, which equates to 100 summons, that I had saved over the course of 6 months on a single banner. I got zero 5 star characters, zero 4 star characters, and a metric ton of utterly worthless craft essences. There is no pity system in FGO, meaning no matter how many times you summon, you are never guaranteed to get what you’re going for. I’ve never seen such a gacha game with such an astonishing hatred of its players. You will never get a character you want to get unless you spend literally hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars to do so. Period. Beyond the abysmal rates, the game is also horribly outdated. Remember when iPhone games were first becoming a thing in 2010 or so? That’s what this game feels like. FGO feels cheap. Animations and effects are mediocre, the UI is dreadful, characters have seemingly random art styles, and you still cannot link an account for backup if you lose, break, or buy a phone. There’s countless gachas out there with better art styles, more interesting gameplay, and more generous rewards. Do not waste your time with FGO.

Customer Service is a joke. I had to do a factory reset on my phone and lost all my data as a result. After going back and forth with Customer Support for over a week, giving detailed information about my account, servants, and purchase history, they wouldn’t give me back my account. The fact that there’s no way to recover your data after everything is gone is a good reason to not download this game. I wasted 2 years on this game only to lose everything I put into this game. Save yourself the trouble and quit while you’re ahead. The game itself has little to offer. There is no auto feature so grinding for items is a huge pain. Saving up saint quartz for a year is the only way you’ll have enough to summon the servant you want (if you’re lucky enough. Otherwise..better luck next year). And you better not get a new phone or anything because if you do, you’re account is gone forever. Customer service won’t do a thing for you except waste your time. (If you’d like to give me my account now I’ll take down this review. Otherwise I’m going to leave it and spread this review as far as I can)

Great Game, Small Problems.. Okay, so I’m starting this game as a HUGE fan of the Fate/ franchise, so of course I’m biased here. But even from the perspective of an outsider, this game is great. My friend and I got hooked on this game really quick and we love all the intricacies that come with the class system and various niches that different servants can fill. Really the only bad thing I can say about this game is that you need at least 5 of the same servant to have them at their fullest potential. Not much of a problem for lower rarities, (1-3 stars) but for a 4 star servant it’s a pain. Don’t even get me started on a 5 star servant. It’s near impossible to get one in the first place. Especially for a free to play guy like me. If 4 stars had a higher drop chance I’d give the game a 5 star rating, but it’s just too much of a pain to get a 4 star servant up to NP level 5. All-in-all, the game is great and I have no major qualms with it.

Stop crying snowflakes. First of all, this is a gacha game! Should there probably be a pity system? Yes, but in one year I have 11 five stars and 30 something 4 stars from all the quartz they give out for free (I’ve only spent money on the gssr which was totally worth it). You have plenty of fan favorites at lower rarity such as Medusa and Cu so stop whining about not being able to instantly get your favorite character, the whole point is to save up and wait for your favorite banner that’s what makes getting 5 stars exciting. There is also an occasional free five star ticket and free np5 welfare servants that are often better than np1 five stars due to increased np damage and recency (better hit counts and skill synergy). There is no reason to whine about not getting everything handed to you for free without working for it, that would not be remotely fun.

The game publishers are much more unkind than jp ver. The game rewards are constantly downplayed in comparison to their jp counterpart for no real reason, jp received 30 saint quartz for its anniversary event but na only gave 10 not enough for one roll, not to mention their insistence of not giving out the actually useful premium currency on login bonuses, its given very rarely while most games have a sign in 1 gem gain this game has a sign in and well give you some friend points and a useless tiny percent of a level up card, the gacha is also abysmally low rates for gachas and no guarantee of four star servants for a 30 quartz roll, good stories and chars but the thing is terribly run with errors almost always on events that dont recieve relevant repayment for the problems theyve caused Their campaigns on facebook and twitter give little rewards of useless qp which most users have millions of, it would be laughable if it wasnt a disgusting management practice. Please treat your users with some respect and kindness, actually give something worth hyping up and sharing on your platforms please i dont believe the game itself is bad but youre taking the fun out of it by trying to milk every last penny out of users, people have spent thousands and not even managed to get a four star they wanted and thats not even the highest servant rate!! Please fix!

Fun first Gacha Game. I had already seen some of the Fate anime before finding this game, and was unaware it was quite popular. I had tried Genshin a bit, but was overwhelmed by the currencies, materials, and general UI aspects. In contrast, FGO is comparatively straightforward. While you will need to eventually understand the different currencies and how you acquire them (Saint quartz, mana prisms, skill up materials and embers), they’re largely unlocked as you go. Quartz, the summoning item, is pretty easy to acquire in the early game, and there is a constant steady trickle once you’re caught up with the main plot. All the freely acquired servant are quite good, and some people make a point to only play with 3* or lower servants to show it’s possible. Probably most important to note, North America is ~2yrs behind Japan’s content, which means that you can actually plan ahead who you want to summon, or who you want to strength for a big event. It’s actually quite helpful to know once you’ve gotten a decent roster.

Fun Game, Can play for free. Disclaimer: I have spent 40 bucks on this game. There was an event a few weeks ago that gave you a guaranteed five star servant that I gave in to. So take this as you will. Gameplay is fun, I like taking 30 minutes or so before and after work to grind out whatever event is going on (which there always is except this one period in September), and you can clear the content just fine with the 1-3 star servants and like a Hercules, especially with other high level supports. Wouldn't recommend gambling on every banner, but saving and planning ahead until a cool servant you want comes out (we know the entire future because this game is further ahead in Japan). You still might not get it ( I didn't, tho I got a couple other five stars randomly), but like I said before, what really matters in clearing the game is just Team composition, and at this point in the game you can outlevel the content easy anyways. I would definitely give it a shot.

NP Levels don’t really matter.... People here are complaining about how you “need multiple copies of the same 5 star servant to bring out its max potential”. That’s really a stretch. When you feed another 5 Star servant to your main copy, it levels up their Noble Phantasm and makes it a bit better. But I think you guys are misunderstanding the point of that mechanic. It doesn’t really do that much to warrant you spending money to NP Level 5 that servant. It’s there so that people who accidentally get that servant again in the Gacha don’t feel like they wasted too much of their money for nothing, since there’s no use for multiple copies of a servant aside from feeding it to your original copy and leveling its Noble Phantasm. Also, if you’re getting stuck on Okeanos, you’re just not playing the game correctly. When I was playing the Japanese version, my luck was pretty bad, so I only had one 4 Star from the guaranteed starting roll. (Whoever said they were lucky to get a 4 star servant by rerolling their account is a liar because you’re guarenteed a 4 star servant or higher on your first 10 roll) I heard Okeanos with a team of Siegfried(4Star), Medusa(3Star), Mashu(3Star), and Sasaki Kojiro(1Star). The game isn’t hard. And personally, for me, my waifu/favourite character in the game is Mashu, so I don’t need to spend a dime trying to get her because she’s the starter servant.

Great Game, but Has Minor Flaws. Great story, gameplay, and etc. I just despise this game sometimes though because you can literally go multiple months of spending quartz and not getting a single 4 star or 5 star. It’s a terrible mechanic that has only been updated to now you having to spend 300+ quartz just to guarantee you will get one (which would’ve been nice to have that update before I spent 300+ quartz and still not get a single 5 star). My other main problem is that it’s semi difficult to get more quartz if you’re up to date on the story or there’s no event going on at the time (which luckily are rather frequent). You can still make use out of low rarity servants (I certainly make sure to pick out my favorites), but their luck system is absolutely garbage and easily the worst part about this game. I genuinely haven’t gotten a single 5 star in over 7 months and the last time I got a 4 star was 4 months ago. They really need to revamp their luck system and make it fair, but I sadly doubt that’s ever going to happen because they literally thrive making money off people who spend thousands to get a certain servant.

One of a Kind. FGO is the best gacha game I have ever played. It has story, waifus, husbandos, and my favorite part: fate! Now I know that many people complain that the gacha rates are trash, but lets be honest: it’s so satisfying when you finally get that rare CE or servant. Another thing, you don’t even need rare servants or CEs to win, all you need is an understanding of how the game works. I personally have a maxed account in JP because I love playing it, and my NA account is for challenges like beating part 1 story mode with only 1-2 star servants, or using only free servants with no gacha. My only complaint, is that the game is too easy. Servants like Castoria in JP at the time of writing is easily sweeping the meta, but even then that helps players, so I really shouldn’t be complaining. No matter how you shape it, love it or hate it, it is a one of a kind gacha game. Thank you for making this!

FGO you either hate it or you love it!. 3rd attempt at writing this review :/ FGO the f2p game that allows you to attempt to collect your waifus and such! Love the game it is fun don't need a 5 star to enjoy the game! Lots of freebies (although they could be more generous I mean they do make like $982 million from this game as far as I know :/ .....) Good luck to all those who play this game brings a lot of salt and anger to everyone unless you p2p/p2w (supporting the creators that is nice but I'm f2p xp unfortunately/fortunately).This game is free and it is a game so have fun but to all of you good luck! :) **WARNING** This game brings you a lot of SALT & ANGER BEWAR AND BE WARNED! Overall have fun it is a game good luck to you all and quit if you deem it necessary or you aren't having fun anymore and you don't need to PAY TO WIN just play for fun and reroll if you experience salt or don't like ur servants and good luck to you all :)!

It gets a lot right, but a few key things wrong. While FGO has an extremely balanced meta that allows you to make a viable team around any character on the roster - even the 1 and 2 star characters can be powerhouses. So after playing for a few months, you WILL have everything you need to handle anything that the game can throw at you. Welfare characters are extremely powerful for free gacha game characters. And the story and gameplay are very engaging. Unfortunately the terrible gacha rates (1% for a 5 star servant), awful implementation of replaying past events (not all events are eligible and you need to pull and sell 4 and 5 star characters to get the items to unlock them), and the worst pity system I’ve ever seen (you have to pull 10 extra copies of 5 star characters you’ve already pulled 5 copies of to choose a 5 star of your choice) make FGO far from perfect. Long story short is that the game has a (blessedly) few VERY bad points that are mostly balanced by the otherwise very well crafted game. If the devs fix the problems with the event and pity systems, I would give this game 5 stars.

Great game, also please stop complaining about the gacha. I really love this game and the characters! The gameplay is also really good and strategic too and it can even favour 1 Star - 3star Servants as there are plenty of videos where people clear challenge quests with only 1-3 star Servants. This is what makes Fgo really unique compared to other gacha games as even if the servant is not a 5star, it can still work really well and even better than 5stars! So stop complaining about the gacha! There are so many good Servants that are not 4 star or 5 star and they even give out really good welfare 4 stars like Chloe and Rider Kintoki. And you can even borrow your friends 5 star Servants. If you still can’t clear story or hard even maps you can use command spells, but lets be honest, it is all up to the player skill in the end so if you are complaining that the game is too hard and you need better Servants, just get better at the game, it’s that simple. Many “hard” stages of the story can be soloed by a single servant (I Euryale who is a 3 star soloed the hardest stage of Gawain and soloed lancetoria with a friend’s Okita. So in summary, get better at the game if you can’t pass it. 1-3 star Servants can carry you a long way. Besides, the average players luck shouldn’t be so abysmal that they can’t get a 4-5 star servant after playing for a while.

A visual novel with gameplay elements attached. First off, let me be clear by saying that I had a love-hate relationship with this game for years; love the units and lore, hate the awful gacha system. Recently I took a break from Fgo for about a year, and came back because I’m an absolute Oberon simp. At this point, I realized that I wouldn’t get to appreciate Oberon’s third ascension and story as much without completing his Lostbelt, and so I begrudgingly finished Gotterdammerung. It was at that time that I realized that, honestly speaking, looking at this game as a gacha with a story was wrong; doing so spoiled my perception of the game and made me focus entirely on my poor rolls (which is made worse when you realize how few quartz you’re given by the game, so each poor pull stings more). Instead, I’ve started to look at FGO as a visual novel that had a tacked-on battle system and interactable servants. Suddenly, my enjoyment of the game shifted as I looked forward to the next chapter instead of the next pull, and my general relationship with the game has improved. TLDR; don’t expect a great gacha, expect a visual novel with a novel battle system.

Enjoyable. I've been playing the English release since it came out, and as a rather large fan of the Nasuverse, I was very excited. I'm quite happy with the game design, though, as many other have mentioned, the gacha rates are a little imbalanced to say the least, and it's very fun to play, though once you finish what parts have been released in English so far, you come to a standstill. The Saint Quartz become rather tedious to get, there isn't nearly as many exciting things happening (but I suppose that's to be expected since you've pretty much finished all that's been released in the given time period), and once you max out your characters, there isn't much of a motivation to keep playing. Of course, now that the next Singularity is going to be released in English relatively soon, hopefully that will no longer be a concern and won't be for too long. And, this isn't completely related, but the recent update the game informs me I should be able to install has yet to show up in the AppStore for me - I'm aware it says that this may happen, but I've been waiting for a bit longer than I expected so I'm becoming slightly concerned. (And unfortunately Achilles seems to have yet to make an appearance, but that's just me and my favoritism I suppose.) The game itself has pretty much all I would expect of an RPG, and a bit more, so I definitely recommend it - but only if you're patient enough with the gacha to not get rather irritated by its stinginess.

Really good game but one thing. I’ve only been playing this game for a few months now, it’s got a great story and really well done art. My only problem is getting 4 and 5 star servants and essences, I personally think there should be a few more ways to obtain them/higher drop chance 1. The first is have a very low chance of being able to obtain them from friendship summon that way there at least an even smaller chance of getting a 4 or 5 star then having to obtain 30 quartz constantly. 2. Make the drop chance a little higher for 4 and 5 stars and 30 quartz summon to in my opinion make slightly more fair chance of getting a 4 or 5 star slightly more likely. 3. This is one that I think could be ok but it whatever make getting a 4 star guaranteed from 10 pulls on 30 quartz summons so that way it’s not only 3 stars and the guaranteed 4 star essence. 4. This I could I really see being fair, make it so that if u do all the side missions in a story line u can get a 4 star servant related to that story line. 5. Finally this another ehhhh thing lower the amount of quartz needed for 10 pull to maybe like 20 idk this is whatever one. Anyways that’s just my opinion on making getting 4 and 5 stars a little more fair. But otherwise like I said I really like the game, I think it’s great and I hope to continue playing.

Great in design, terrible in execution.. The game is really fun! Except the part where the gacha system is totally bad. The community has been courteous enough to provide us with farming statistics for materials and generators for servants, and when you look at them you realize that multiple hours must go into this game to make even a shard of progress. The guest servant system is nice and helps newcomers through almost half of the game, but eventually people will hit a wall (usually around the 5th or 6th singularity) in which they will have to spend hours upon hours grinding in hopes to get multiple items which already are rare enough as it is. Now this is just my suggestion, but I can only recommend they make a new rarity of enemy because the rng for certain materials at the same rarity ends up make the player’s sessions filled with remorse. I must also recommend that they separate the summoning of craft essences, and servants. I have seen hundreds if not thousands of people complain about how much they hate not getting new servants because the game duped them with ANOTHER craft essence. I would still play this game, but I can’t recommend spending any money on it. It’s just not worth the payout, not even close.

Fate grand order. I love the fate franchise it’s my all time favorite when I first saw this game I misjudged it but once I started playing I became addicted to it and have done so well that being said this game has potential there are many issues one is the materials it seems like instead of actually giving the materials you need to ascend your servants they just give you materials that you really don’t actually need. This needs to be fixed I thought I would bring this issue because I have servants that I can’t ascend because I either don’t have enough of the materials or because I don’t have any of the materials please please fix this the second issue is more of an idea instead of having a limited amount of quarts how about making it unlimited quarts that way we can roll for servants as much as we want and no matter how many times our servants die we can just bring them back without having to worry about running out of quarts

The things you need. This game had great combat mechanics. They are really fleshed out and once you understand them - looking up guides never hurt - you are straight rollin’. You want story? Great story the entire way. You want action? You can straight up skip the story and get right to it. You changed your mind and want to see the story? The game saves all story dialogue for you to view later. The creators of fate really know what the fans want. It’s a good game. Don’t get mad at the mechanics, they are kinda weird compared to many other games, but understand it and you’ll have a good time. The gacha is kinda… well I’m not a fan so I’ll say it’s stupid… but you can hide your time and do a good free to play run of the entire thing if you only roll rarely. I just get 2 of each character class in each ultimate type, and I’m good. Of course there is the farming aspect… but it’s a game you play for years… ok, that sounds daunting. If you play it right - an hour a day sounds stable - you will be in good hands. TL/DR: a good experience, don’t need to invest money. A great M O B I L E game. Again, as a mobile game it’s fantastic, as long as you don’t compare it to AAA games, you will have a fun time

Unique but Harsh. This is not as bad as people may assume. Fgo plays out more like a single player jrpg with the best cast of playable characters for f2ps and whales. The weakest point of the game is indeed the gatcha but if you save intensely and level your low stars the game rewards you greatly. Each low star(outside of rare exceptions) is greatly useful and can carry low-high level teams in addition to low cost. Four-five star characters are worth their weight, and can tremendously change the power of an account. Despite being out for years, the game does not powercreep high rarity servants that badly and upgrades such servants with often great skills. The story is worth the grind because after the 4th section, the game picks up in difficulty and quality. Fate/go is harder than other mobile games but has great content and characters that manage to make up for some shortcomings. Fate/go lacks much account safety, has a lack of replayable boss fights, story locked servants, and limited servants that do not have a consistent banner. And due to its nature, some event servants that can boost an account’s power are gone(Rider Kintoki, Shiki, Jeanne Alter Lily, Santa Alter, and Ishtar Rider). Sadly, compared to other games there should be a way to enable new players to catch up on previous events to claim copies of useful 4 star servants. Overall the game is good, but needs to improve on post story content outside of farming and events.

Great game for long-time fans of the franchise and newbies alike. Always loved the big Fate franchise, including the original visual novel. FGO only enhanced my affection for already established characters and I love the brand new story and folks as well. Have been playing for a bit more than 4 years, and there were uncountable times I cried and laughed. Even it’s your first entry to Fate, you’ll surely fall I love with both the story and many characters. The gameplay is fairly simple except for challenge quests during the events or numerous Main Story battles. Some may find the farming part boring, I personally try to switch up my teams from time to time to diversify the process) Can’t complain about the gacha rates, because I play for free and get lucky most of the times. I log into the game for the story and beloved characters primarily.

Fix the rates and crashing p.s refund me 60 saint quarts. Been playing for a year and a half now game was decent but the rates to get characters is abysmal. After the recent most update to make the game more stable it actually made it less so causing crashes in the summon menu and when doing missions will start to slow until the game freezes. In addition to the crashes if you happen to summon and before the animation shows you the area where the orbs appear, The game will take all the spent money/saint quartz you spent like a broken vending machine without giving you any “characters” which it most likely isn’t considering the rates. Honestly this game should be removed from the App Store with how poor the rates are and how unwilling the developers are to fix obvious bugs that cause monetary loss. The most recent loss for me were 2 multi pulls of which is amounted by the games prices at $60 sadly even had it went through with a proper summon I doubt I would have gotten anything I wanted anyway. To any who are considering downloading this game, Until they fix the bug and add a pity system I do not recommend with how poorly both the maintenance and rates are. At this point I’m considering uninstalling.

Great but needs some fixes.. I really love this game, especially as a huge fan of the fate series and all the spin-offs I was super excited when I found this. I love seeing all the characters I’ve come to know in the anime series and visual novels, and the art, music and card style battle system all work together very nicely and has gotten me addicted. The one fault that really drives me absolutely nuts is if I don’t log in at the EXACT right time every day I don’t get my log in bonus. So while I’ve opened the game literally every day since I’ve downloaded it, I’ve only managed to get up to a 4 day streak because of the strict log in time in order to get the log in streak. This is really disheartening because it’s really one of the only way for the lower level new players to get a head start into summoning new heroes and getting materials. I very rarely leave reviews but since I love this game so much I’d really love to see this fixed. Please fix this devs! I’d hate to grow bored simply because there is no way for me to get ahead or incentive to even open the game every day when there is no bonus in it for me to do so even if I am having fun when I do play.

Frustrated Fate Fan. First of all, I love Fate with all my heart and it's been my favorite series for 5 years now. I was so excited for the release of Fate G/O on English servers, only to have my spirits crushed upon playing. The gacha is absolute garbage. I have rerolled dozens of times on multiple devices to no avail. I'll be lucky if I get a 4 star servant on every other restarted account. It breaks my heart as a loyal fan to have to shell out funds for this game in the slim chance I might get a decent servant. Most reviews say the gacha rates aren't bad, but I know many who have gotten 5 star servants on their FIRST TRY. Second of all, the game is extremely difficult when you only have max leveled 4 star event servants. My Nero is max leveled and almost fully ascended, but yet she can get killed instantly by a Okeanos servant. I'm sick and tired of the repeated craft essences which have no effect on my servants whatsoever. I've played this game since it's release and it's infuriating to grind 10 hours and use 3 command seals just to get a quadruple copy of a craft essence that raises my wimpy noble phantasm by 2% in a 10 pull. I've given up hope on getting Arturia and any 5 star servant for that matter. Honestly, I'd rather give my money to Love Live, I could at least get an SR and save up stickers for a UR idolization. I'm holding out for Fate to make changes to their gacha, as I cannot keep relying on support servants just to clear a normal story level.

Fun, addictive, but sketchy business practices. This game is fun. There’s no question I’ll continue to play this game for some time to come. I’m not even a fan of the fate series, but I enjoy collecting characters and drifting through the quests when I’m bored or at work. However, I almost deleted the app after discovering some very questionable business practices. I know this is par for the course concerning mobile games, but I’m still disappointed. There are occasional special events that would allow you collect 5 star (the highest) characters. Normally one would use the in game currency they’ve accrued to do so. However, the special events only accept purchased (with real money) in game currency to do so. Against my better judgement I was going to buy some. Here’s where it was over the top for me. You need 30 credits. However, you can only buy 25, 4, and 1 - or spend more for an amount over 25. All that said I will continue to play this game. It is very much a game you can succeed at and never spend a dime of real money. So why write this review? Because ... I’m just disappointed. I think the state of affairs of the gaming industry is really sad. It’s about making money first, and I hate seeing that. Don’t spend real money on this game.

Great game. I have always had a problem where I would get hooked to a single game for a couple weeks, then eventually get bored and go to another game, this game is different, FGO has an amazing narrative story, the gameplay is flawless, I haven't run into a single bug since I first installed. The difficulty does curve and certain points in the game (when you play, you will find out what I'm talking about). Also, you don’t need five or even four stars in your party to beat the game, I beat the entire game with a 1 star Berserker, Paul Bunyan, in my party. Sure, it may be nice to try and get your saberface waifu 5 star but the fact that every character is completely unique makes it that much more fun. No two servants are exactly alike, that can be HP, ATK, skills or tons of other factors. I also forgot to mention their most powerful moves, their Noble Phantasms, each are completely unique to the character and are beautifully animated. So, if you want a fun, story driven game where you can have Billy the Kid, The Roman empress Nero Claudius and a robot dragon girl fight skeletons and dragons, I would say pop in and give this game a try, you wont regret it.

READ ME B4 PLAYING. Want one of those sexy, shiny, 5 star characters that everyone wants? Want to play as your favorite character or waifu? Well too bad. Unless you get EXTREMELY lucky you will never get a 5 star character (rates at or below 1%). Oh and did I mention you need 5 copies of any one character to bring out its max potential? It would not be so bad if the in game currency was not so ridiculously scarce. Most games give tons of free in game currency (thank you DBZ Dokkan Battle) but this game gives little to none. So little in fact that it is completely negligible. This game is an example of a company trying to exploit fans of the enormously popular Fate series to make money. I love this series which is why it pains me that this company is so greedy as to lock all its premium characters behind an impossibly thick paywall. This puts free to play players, such as myself, at an immense disadvantage. Sure you can succeed with no 5 star characters to an extent but you will be put more and more at a disadvantage as the game gets progressively harder in the future. Nor will you ever play as your favorite characters which is a huge reason people get the game to begin with. Even 4 Star characters are ridiculously hard to get. Unfortunately this game is immensely popular in Japan and makes tons of money so the company has no incentive whatsoever to give free to play players a break.

Great Story that Suffers From Mobile Game-isms. In all honesty I play this game to read what happens next. In both the “I can’t wait to find out” way and the “there’s really no other reason to play it” way. The story is rather enjoyable and despite some slow moments and nonsense events, you’ll find yourself getting attached to the characters. The gameplay, though. You can get clever with skill usage and pull off some satisfying wins that way, but the gameplay desperately needs an auto battle feature for farming, and you’ll be gated by lack of level/upgrades/5* characters more often than challenged by tactical choices. (Not right away, though. You can get pretty far with 3*s and basic stuff.) Also, the drop rates for any given character are abysmal, so you’ll have to save up almost ALL your currency waiting for your favorite to come along if you really want them.

A great way to learn. I love the Fate series. I’ve used it as a way to teach my family and friends about history, religion, and culture. The game mechanics themselves are easy to understand and in the end are fun. The only real problems I have with the game is that connecting with the server takes time and a lot of rebooting of the app and even after you manage to get into the game it becomes incredibly difficult to keep it from crashing. Fix those things and add a few more characters you can posses and the game could become a massive hit. I myself would like to see characters from my own Mormon religion. Although hard to find a true source of information on the Mormon culture online you can simply go to the lds website and all the information is there. Besides that I have seen no characters from African culture or any characters from more recent history. People from world war 1 or 2 could be made into servants. While this is a game, I use it as a source for teaching and learning and even encouragement and more than anything I want to learn more about every culture I can find and the fate series is a great way to encourage me to do so. Thank you for such amazing manga, anime, and games that encourages my love for learning beyond anything else. 😊

Fate, what else?. As expected, the Fate crew take the player in an adventure with the most famous characters in human history. The stronger people (5 star servants) take some patience and time to get, as this is a gacha game. Prepare to test your luck, because this game will treat some generously while others get nothing. A simple trip to your nearest statistics book would confirm that the cure to “bad luck” is to just keep trying. Keep in mind that as a gambling system is in place, you always face addiction and its consequences. However, if you are present for the events, you’ll find that the game is actually quite rewarding. Events are the most fun yet easy way to earn the game’s rare materials. If you play this game only once a week, on the other hand, you’ll have a terrible, unrewarding experience. A lot of actions (leveling up, evolving, beating events) require grinding. If patience isn’t your strong point, you probably wouldn’t find enjoyment in this title. Also, as others have noted, the player can still progress through the challenges with weaker characters, just expect a more strategic approach.

The ideal game to grind. When you first start this game you are automatically given the Mash and Cu (Caster) servants to start with. They are decent enough but are just a stepping stone to help you complete the Fuyuki City singularity. In addition to the Holy Grail you get (just one of 10 in the whole game, usually for completing a singularity) after that quest, you get to choose one of several 4 star servants to further help you in the next 7 singularities/campaigns. Getting a 5 star is difficult but not necessary, as 2 Holy Grails can essentially turn a 4 star into a 5 star. Leveling up servants is part of the fun, as is trying out different combinations of servants in your party. The more you level up, the more options you will have, and the more quests/daily activities you can complete for rewards. The events are where FGO is at its most time-consuming, but it’s worth it to get all the essentials you need to help max out your servants. There is no real end game, because it will take months before you can max out a single servant - and that’s just one class. My goal is to get at least one 4/5 star for all 7 classes to stay competitive for the more extreme enemies. It’s free to play but prepare your wallet if you are in this for the long haul, because if you don’t, you will be stuck for a long time and will eventually drop the game out of boredom.

Not your typical gacha. Fate/GO like its other gacha brethren has a ranking for its servants and craft essences in the for of a star ranking between 1 and 5. Now usually when it comes to a gacha game it's implied that the more stars tacked onto something the better it is. This is where Fate/GO alters from the rest of the gacha scene as a whole, in that just about any servant can be viable given team composition and craft essence attached to them. By far the best example of this comes in the form of 3 star lancer cú chulainn. While cú may have lower stats than 4 and 5 star units, his skills are what make him so amazing. With out going into depth on cú's skills I'll just summarize with that they essentially make him unkillable if you use them wisely. Cú is so good that he actually makes some 4 star units look bad in comparison. As for craft essences there are many that have similar effects with various levels of bonuses depending on rank, but there are still many unique craft essences in the 3-5 star range that can find use on just about any servant. The point of this long block of texts is just to say that stars don't define what is good or bad in this game. Don't be afraid to play around with low star units because some can potentially out class high star units if used to their fullest potential. With this in mind I hope if you're just now downloading Fate/GO that you keep this information in mind when you play and to have fun, I know I am.

Trash. This game takes unbeatable to an all new level. Just finished grinding through singularity F - 5 and spent all of the quartz I had earned up until then (if you choose to spend $$ over $200 worth) and drew a whooping 0 5 star servants and 3 four star servants. Now one would assume that during a “increased 5 star drop rate” in 20 draws you could get at minimum one. But not this money hungry game. As a die hard fate fan I want to support them but not if they are just going to continue scamming players and their supporters. In almost 6 months time playing this game I have not gotten but one decent card. And decent is pushing it even after ascension. The only chance new players have at even hoping to win past singularity 2 is either spend thousands and pray they give you ONE good card or find a supporter with a strong enough build. Will happily support anime but not this thieving scheme. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your storage!!!!! Also do not believe the crap review they paid someone and is advertised. The stats MATTER. A 3 star will never compare to a 4 or 5 star. Regardless of what skills, craft essence, or how they’re used.

Please Read. The game is fair. A lot of people are complaining that they don't get 5* because the rates are low, which is true to an extent. The game is designed that even 3*s even 1*s can be used to beat the game's content, it just takes a little more effort. They have said to max a 5* you need 4 copies of the same 5*, but that isn't even necessary. Having extra copies just increases their dmg of their ultimate atk by just a bit. It does not hinder you in any way for not having copies like being unable to evolve it. The rare materials needed for evolution is often given out during events to make the events worth grinding. The rates of rare materials dropping outside of events is to make the RARE materials...RARE. The rates are bad but that is what saving up your quartz are for. If you expect to get multiple 5* right off the bat then this game is definitely not for you. If you play the game expecting to get exactly what you want from the gacha you should prepare yourself to be disappointed. You should play to have fun.

Great story telling in a mediocre game. When I first began to play FGO I did not get the appeal of the game at first. The story was mediocre (until Camelot), the mechanics were basic, and the dialogues were long and mundane. I was about to give up on the game, but pushed through up to Camelot. My GOD, Camelot was the best moment in FGO. The story had some few flaws, but overall it was one of the best story-telling in all the gacha games I have played. I understood finally that fans don’t play this visual novel for the gameplay, but the characters. After Camelot, however, it went back to being mediocre. Stopped halfway of Babylonia because it got boring. The gacha rates are horrendous and the “Screw You” mentality to new players is heinous. FGO lives not because of its gameplay, but because of the IP and characters. If this game did not have the FGO face slapped on the cover, it would have died 6 years ago. Overall, FGO is an enjoyable visual novel with outdated mechanics and leveling/ascension system. I say give it a try up to Camelot. If the story didn’t impress you find some other game.

Overall, good (but with some issues). As other people have said, the gameplay and character balancing in this game is/are done really well. Hence, I think people who accuse it of forcing players into a progression-based paywall are simply not strategizing enough to compensate for the lower stats of their servants. If you watch a few guides, and have a bit of skill, it’s quite possible to clear all the content without needing even a single four or five-star. However, while this aspect of the game’s design is commendable in isolation, I think a lot of gacha game fans are drawn to the character collection component in these games. This is where this game falls completely flat: if you want any four or five-star character and grind out the quartz try to summon for them, chances are you’ll just walk away with 4 or 5 craft essences, feeling like you wasted your time. A common practice among many popular gacha games nowadays is to give you at least one or two guaranteed high-tier characters, as a reward for summoning or playing enough (I.e. selectors in KOF Allstars, legendary shards in Raid, SP tickets in Dragon Ball legends). This game makes no such guarantees, meaning you can sink hours into it with virtually nothing to show for it. TLDR; if you play Gacha games for character collection, avoid. As it is it’s not worth your time.

Great Game. Loving he game, especially hyped for J-alter in a few days. I can see why people say it’s horrible but it’s good, you’ve just got to have patience. And 5 stars don’t make the game... I’ve seen people solo the final boss of America with 1 maxed Cu and 2 Saint George’s which are 3 and 2 stars respectively plus you could get by on lower leveled servants. I’m going to use myself for an example. I’m completely f2p and have 2 five stars some four stars etc but I still use 3 star Medea cause she’s pretty good. Honestly only criticism I would give is make plz give a little more quarts on maintenance and after event stuff. Besides this is an amazing game. Oh and for those people who are like, oh this is stupid it’s super pay to win. Naw its really not. It’s more so pay to make sure you get a character. Before I forget even if you can’t get that waifu or husbando there are probably people out there with them as their support... just work with them...

Great Story for Fate Fans. Fate/GO has issues... a lot of them have been pointed out and exaggerated in other reviews though. Yes the rates are terrible, but players can clear all the contents of the game with enough investment to the lower rarity servants. Something that I find to be rather unique to the game as often times in these kinds of games rarity has a direct correlation to how good a unit is. I myself have been playing for 2 years, of which most of my first year was spent with 1 SSR. I never had any noticeable difficulty with the main story quests though. The gameplay also has much to be desired and requires a lot of time to grind since this game lacks an auto play system. I’m not gonna say that it’s a mindless hack and slash though unlike other games on the market. It’s simple enough that anyone can pick up on it, but with just enough complexity that people need to build proper teams. I’d also like to add I do play on the iPhone XR and while the game is laggy, it is in no way unplayable from my experience. Now what is the main appeal of this game is the story. Though it takes a while to pick up, when it finally does get good. IT GETS GOOD. Enough that it even has an ongoing anime series and a set of movies coming out. It also goes deeper into the lore of Fate, which is nice for someone who joined the community after watching Zero and Ufotable’s UBW adaptation.

Game Crashing. Fate GO has crashed on me twice now. At first it seemed fine I can re-log back in. Problem was is the log-in system. It doesn’t require a Facebook/Apple log-in but instead an unpolished broken system that requires an issue number that can be changed if you are not prepared. I have screenshot/saved my transfer number and password in case it crashes again. As I am writing this the App crashed and have tried countless attempts to get back but to no luck. This is outrageous. My time and money invested is lost for this laughable system. Thanks.

Best gacha game. I played tons of gacha games and this is my favorite ever. -story 10\10 -characters 10/10 -gameplay, could seem boring in the first stages, but super challenging in the late game. 10/10 -gacha, pretty bad drop rates, no pity, but the game can be completed with 3/4stars rarity characters. -a gacha masterpiece, just give it a try.

Don’t buy saint quartz in fate. Fate is a really good game but there saint quartz are really expensive and if you buy some it is kind of a rip-off and you really just wasted your money so just do the other ways where you can get them for free like quests or completing a challenge so that’s all I hope you enjoy Playing fate because I do.

Please fix on iPhone 11. Good game but ever since I got an iPhone 11 game has been lagging and I would have to close and reopen it unti it stops lagging which at times can take more than 5 try’s so as you can see this gets really frustrating plus it’s not full screen you guys need to fix your game for iPhone 11

Fun game but. I had fun playing this game and can see one of my favourite anime as a game. But after the download of the new Event, when I shut down my iPhone and then turn it back on, it keeps re-downloading the files. I checked on websites and said it might be because I don’t have enough space, but I have 100GB of space left. So I don’t think that’s the case, it would be great to have a solution, thx Great game btw

Still no iPhone X support. This game is fun however it’s been over a year since the realise of the iPhone X and still no full screen support and to make it worse it’s not just the edges but the game also has a border all the way around I know this is because the assets the low resolution and they’d have to recreate the assets used so I doubt I’ll ever get good graphics from this game, not to mention their is no settings page of any kind within this game.

Great game. I really love playing this game, and it’s one of my favourite games of all time. The only issue I have with it really is that you can’t play with the same account on multiple devices. If that was fixed, I’d give the game a 5/5.

The game won’t load. I just downloaded the game. Was all good until the rayshift scene in the beginning. It started by loading then in to a black screen. I waited for 3 min I assume it crashed, so I closed the game and start again. This time it goes to the start screen where I tap to start the game. I taped and it loaded into a white screen with background music, then I waited for 3 min nothing happened.

To expensive. 30 gems for 10 summons what a joke. Should be 30 gems for 30. To hard to get the gems unless you pay for them. But other then that it’s a great game

No waifu no laifu. I need Nero. My family is hungry but i won’t stop paying for this app. Send her please

A Special Thanks to the fgo support team. I ended up losing my account awhile ago and the support team were very helpful on assisting me with gaining my account back. It only took two days with there help.

Incompatibility with screen iPhoneXR. iPhone XR incompatible with it’s screen :)) Lagging sometimes All good except those things

Lag and FPS drops. Game seems to lag quite a bit during gameplay and on menus very occasionally. There seems to be others with the same problems and one thing in common we all have are the same phone models - iPhone 11, XS Max, X, etc. Game is still playable (kinda) but the constant sudden FPS drops are very distracting and annoying. I hope to see a fix :(

Just a good Gacha Game. Hellish Grind Gacha Rates And an incredible story you don’t often find games like this with so much care and story this game does have its problems but it’s has character that are the best around a grand story that I have yet to see be attempted to such a scale All up it’s a great game not a game for all but that how it goes from hard beginnings the game picks up fast being that u push through the early parts of the game

Date of Birth. I love the game but there is only one problem. I made a mistake wen I was placing my birth date information and know I can’t change it please if you can add in settings or master profile an icon that can change your birth date. Good Game ☺️

This would be. So much better with an auto battle function

Bug report. In master mission i am currently able to get infinite quartz I’m not sure we’re else to report it I notice when the option didn’t disappear I only did it’s once

Pretty good content but bad gacha. This is a good game ang pretty addicting but I’ve already noticed that the game is heavily reliant on saint quartz for rolling four or five star servants in the game, and I hate the fact that I would have to sign in every 50 days to gain rewards while testing out jp servers I got free saint quartz for signing in daily. The gacha rate ups are also pitiful as the percentages of getting a high tier or just a normal five star is lower than 2% which in my standards are not worth spending the saint quartz or summon tickets as you could be spending hundreds or thousands If you’re unlucky to get a single 5 star servant..and I think the NA and jp servers shouldn’t be having a 2 year difference in progress, I would prefer the servers having at least a year difference. I would also like apples or fruits to be acheivable on free quests, just to makes my f2p life easier.

Great game and a complaint. I’ve summoned about 10 to 30 times now all i got from that was ONE 1 star servant from both quarts and fp summons... other than that great game this is not the first time I’ve played but it is the worst luck so far on this play though..

Not Bad. So far, I’ve had no problems with the game. I haven’t been playing long but I think I’ve got the gist. I was looking for a game like this, one where PVP play isn’t necessary to obtain anything or progress further. I like the storyline, characters and everything connected!

No money, no problem. I have been playing this game without paying into it i still have opportunities for 5 star servants and 4 stars. Growth has been slowerbut it suits me as i play it during events or just occasionally. Very good free as a casual game with fantastic art enjoyable and silly story arcs and it actually makes me want to check out other Fate /type moon products. My 5 star rating is because it is my only mobile game that i actually play out of all the ones i have installed

Honestly impressed. I didn’t expect much from FGO, but since the first time i played it just grew on me i guess, overall it’s a very addicting game. Yeah thats that, but the thing is that theres all the characters and also np lvls so yeah, i kinda lost track on how much money i spent eheh… i dont regret it though.

No more weird box!. Love the new UI update, been playing on iPhone for 4 years and have been waiting for the developers to fix the weird box and now I can finally admit my undying love for them through the new update. Very pleased and thankful you guys have finally gotten it done :)

Best gacha game. Absolutely loved the story, the camelot and babylonia arcs are just fantastic too, my only gripe is that there isnt any support for iphone x screens so im stuck with a blue border all the time. I would REALLY like an update to fix this up but other than that, amazing game

Needs alot of work. Get rid of the tollbooths at the end of adventure mode chapters. It is bad design and makes your game look bad compared to other gacha games. Tollbooths were made for events and anything else is bad design. Good day.

Spent $200 for a character and didn’t manage to pull her. I recommend

Excellent game!. Fun to play. Great characters and story. Events are well done and provide great extra content. Gacha rate is fine, (it’s all a matter of luck anyway) and I’ve got some excellent units from it!

Love it so much but. I love this game so much but recently it has started crashing frequently and I can’t do much with out it crashing

Awesome Game. I’m happy I downloaded this game last year the events and storyline are awesome I’m looking forward to seeing more singularities and getting some cool 5 star Servants.

Good game but.... The item drop and hero drop are too strenuous and take forever makes you not wanna play anymore, also fix the NP 30% of the time the game crashes, with all these updates can you at least fix that?.

Play for story don’t expect more. Play this game for 2 years, the money I spent could buy a car. -After chapter 6 story are very good, it’s well worth your time to get there. -Stingiest premium currency: you only get to pull one 10 pull per month approx after newbie rewards and finish all story. -Horrendous gacha rate: 1% for ssr, combine with stingy premium currency. Buy an starter account or be prepared play with no ssr for months -top tier free units are most likely gone forever: if you want event limited unit in the past they are most likely gone forever -f2p friendly only if you don’t mind to stink hundred hours: a lot of people will tell you can beat story with low rarity characters. Yes you can, but you need to pul ridiculous amount of time to full upgrade. Some are must for certain stages but once you beat that stage, they are useless. -Stamina problem: pre 100 level u can play infinitely. Post 100 lvl 3 stages of highest event stage per 10 hours.

Good game but approach with caution. Waste your life on this game only if you don’t regret it.

One of the best games ever!. I had so much fun playing this game it was very interesting! I love games like this where it has fighting in it! When I first got this game I wasn’t so sure of how to play it but then I got better and better and I absolutely loved it! I’m really hoping to see FGO grow and develop! I really recommend this game for anyone!

been playing this for 2 years now, love itt. the only thing this game is lacking that i really need is player interaction. By that i mean you should allow players to chat or do other stuff with each other. It’ll be perfect cos i’m lonely yknow..

Its’s pretty good. Despite the rarity of getting even a four star character in the gacha, it still is pretty good with all the gameplays and graphics (also WAIFUS).

Really good game (if no issues). Really good game, just one point : since the update the game is crashing every 5 minutes on iPhone 7 and that’s really annoying....

Update. App runs great however can we get an update to support the full display of the iPhone X? Thanks

Great story and great f2p viability. Story is top notch as expected from a Fate IP. Also so many interesting characters and top tier isn’t required at all.

Runs poorly and gacha is poor. A beautiful game to be sure, but despite downloading all assets and having a current iPhone XS, frame rate is abysmally poor. Which is surprising. The gacha is also has woefully low drop rates. “Rate up is a lie” came from this game for a reason.

EX rank game. Amazing Game, Amazing Characters, but what's best about the game is the staff from behind the scenes; super helpful and friendly. As the player, you'll find yourself with either an E rank in luck like me, or an EX rank like my friends. Beware though, Rate up is a myth ... (still salty from last year's event).

Almost perfect..🤕. I would give it 5/5 stars if it was only optimised for the iPhone 11 Pro Max screen. It feels a bit laggy and choppy some times due to the side bars. Hopefully they do something about the screen size in the next update.

Lag on 11 pro. When will a patch come out to fix the game not running on the newer iPhones. This is my favourite game and it was running fine on my 8, I recently got the new 11 pro and now the game is unplayable with lag. When will this be fixed??

Language setting. it is a good game, sadly if don’t have option to change language. As a person whose mother language is not English, I can’t really into the story which is its best part.

Fun but.... Seriously the grind is real for this game. It relies on gambling mentality to “make you” (I use this term because if you want decent servants you end up gambling to get them) But as I said a fun time waster, a lot if people have lost a lot of money trying to get decent cards...

Epic!!!. Hello this game is WAY too good the story is awesome too! Good work. I really like the fate series so playing the game can get me more into it! Awesome game an instant 5 stars!

Pre good. Greater game with plenty of content to play thoughout the 250 days spent on this game. Loved every event since I joined fgo in rashomon event and was difficult to not play the game daily. Did decide to spend money on the game, but exchange rate kills it for aud. Makes it difficult to invest much money as packs cost much more and receive the same amount. Overall the game has plenty of content and continual support allows the game to continue growing.

Be prepared to be discriminated against by the racist Japanese owners. The Japanese owners of this game are more then happy to discriminate against the “NA” Server, they constantly skip character banners, skip certain rare rewards and skip giving out the games premium currency despite all other versions of the game (Chinese, Taiwanese, Korean, and the original Japanese versions) getting them, but not the NA/Global server! We get no communication just skip skip skip, so do your self a favour and skip this game, no matter how much you might like TYPEMOON or Fate

4 days and my account is not recovered.. Worst company I have ever known. They do not even work :) I sent every single piece of evidence for my account recovery and they kept me waiting like a dumb. I could not even able to recive any apologems from this delay, moreover, I may loss all my anniversary gifts. Great! Look how this company ruin your days.

Finally!. Australia can now access FGO. Was starting to think that we’d never get to play it. The game works beautifully! I’m running it on an iPhone 6s. It’s as smooth as butter. Definitely a must have for any Fate fan. The game does have micro transactions for a type of premium currency called “saint quartz” used fo summoning servants. The option is there but the game drops this currency so often that you don’t need to buy anything. I know right! A mobile gamer that doesn’t require you to throw money at it very 20 minutes. And their not joking about the story. The story is told in VN form, where you encounter a massive roster of different characters and personalities. I haven’t even scratched the surface of the games narrative.

Maintenance is eternal. Apple, why must you always be the cause of extended maintenance? Xmas rerun: 24hr Apple induced maintenance Go west rerun: extended maint because the update isn’t live on here Probably more that I can’t remember too All in all, it’s a good game though, I just wish apple would stop causing extended maintenance because aniplex are stingy and don’t extend events that were shortened by extended maint (unless it’s 24+ hrs)

4 stars for now...just like my units. I’ll change my rating when I finally get a five star...so many years man T^T

Good game. Drop rates can be unforgiving but the gameplay is always on point

Best Gacha Game. The rates are bad but the story is glorious and the anniversary rewards are good.

Data Transfer is A Trap. Game’s old and I get that however the inability to update the login/ data transfer capabilities such as binding it to your apple id or Facebook, Twitter, etc. Stops you from deleting the game or using another device for it as the current data transfer has a chance to generate a code and when you attempt to use that code it doesn’t work saying ‘You’ve already used that code’ which firstly, why is there even a limit to these codes and secondly if you didn’t use said code (like me) then you’ve lost that account forever and there is no getting it back.

Account recovery. I typed all the correct account transfer information but he one thing that couldn’t let me get my account back was the fact it wouldn’t let me type the rest of my password so I wasn’t able to recover my account. I am extremely disappointed and saddened by this cause I spent money in this game and because of this bug I am unable to play this game.

camelot. i just wanna know why camelot is so goddamn long like gawd damn 😭😭

Got Scrooged. If you are reading this in Dec 2023, you see the event being advertised? It's a raid, where the focus is to kill giant bosses repeatedly for tons of stuff. The developers screwed up the first raid, making it die as soon as it began. This means we all lost out on millions of currency, hundreds of upgrade materials, and bond levels for our servants. Our compensation? 10 sq. that's enough for a third of a multi-summon. This is just the latest example of how we get treated. My whale wallets closed for the foreseeable future now. Lasengle you get 0 dollars in compensation

Love this game, no matter what.. I love this game, no matter what. Sure it has it’s faults, but I don’t care: it’s a great game. I hope the community keeps on being it’s best possible self and to serve as an example of how you make a successful anime based game. Long live fate and long live F/GO.

Worst devs out there. Absolutely garbage company and Devs.

Impossible rolls. It is too hard to roll anything decent in the game without spending the family fortune. Don't bother unless you want to play 3star characters all the way through.

I take back my review. I take it all back. As soon as the new update came in, it told me there was an error with the app. It then told me to download it again from the app store. I did it. I believed it. Downloaded it again and I lost everything. EVERYTHING! Maybe this is the world’s way of telling me to just not play this game. Waste of time. Waste of hours. Waste of effort. Waste of my life.

Trash. This game is trash and the lazy devs have not bothered to optimize it for iPhone X. Don’t bother downloading or giving them a cent for SQ until they do.

Smooth but. Every time I attempt to enter the summon shop, it’s an instant crash. I transferred to another device and it still crashes. Fix?

Incredible game. I have been plying this game for 600 days+ now, and I believe it was time to leave a review. I’m completely free to play and I can assure you, the game is beatable that way! All units are good units when you know how to strategize, the story is incredible- it’s easy to save premium currency and there are absolutely no adds. I enjoy this game a lot and it’s the only gacha who managed to keep my attention for so long. Keep up the good work!!

It's a chore. It's a great anime game with good stories, characters and voice actors. Gameplay is pretty fun and challenging whenever new contents are released. However, as a gacha game, this is one of the worst I've seen out there. 5 star rate is 1% without any guarantee yet, there's a guarantee system in JP but it's literally garbage and useless for f2p. They're just trying to grab your money but at least they're using it to create the anime. Farming in this game is absolutely boring and is becoming a chore as there's neither skip nor auto-farm for a game that requires getting a lot of materials to upgrade character. Hope they'll add that soon.

I Love this game!. I have been playing this game for 4 years now I believe. I must say this game is very friendly with its currency. Also it’s not very P2W in my opinion. You can get pretty far in this game with the servants you roll. A lot of grinding in some events though but the rewards are decent so yeah got to work hard to get those materials and such. Overall it’s still a gacha game and I would never recommend anyone to get into that type of game, but if I were to recommend one, it would be this one.

pls. great game but let me roll artoria PLSS

More Bad than Good. Staff rarely ever email back, and if they happen to, they are rude, inconsiderate, and unwilling to help with your issues. I have sent for help many of times, though the staff do not care and will not help. The 5/4 star rates are absolutely horrendous. The chance to get a 5 star, let alone a 4 star is very slim, and with such low rates, why not implement a pity system. Say for every 10-20 pulls, you get a guaranteed 4 star servant or above. This would make the game more appealing in the case of actually being able to get good servants. People usually only get 4/5 star servants if they are lucky, and with low rates, it makes people question whether they should spend money on the game at all. You could care a little more about the people than money sometimes, this is a big reason for bad reviews/ratings on your game. Yet another bad thing. The difference between the NA/JP servers. A ~2 year difference is extreme, it seems like you don’t care about the NA server, which is just generally unfair. People may start to leave if you keep up this rate. Face it, it’s taking too long to fix the difference. Some small things, the story line is fine, but I don’t read it due to having no time. The servants are also mediocre, the art/character models could use more work though. Also, there should be an option for lower graphics quality. The game does not run well on all devices, it is something that should be implemented. Obviously, all parts of the game have effort, but the parts, and the game, are still lacking in it. Thank you for anyone who reads this review, I hope this can help someone understand about this game. ^^

These people are trolls. The support people are trolls they keep repeating them selfs and refuse to accept info they are bad people

NA Server too slow. Compared to other regions we have the slowest progression banner/event wise and due to this the game sometimes feels extremely boring. We need to catch up to JP instead of imitating its past experience. We want to experience the same anticipation and thrill that the JP players are going through. What's the reason for this? Licensing issues? Translation issues? Please Lasengle. Invest more into devising careful strategies and plans to catch up.

Someone who this game has failed. This trash game should not have existed. The story is decent, but it does not make up for the abysmal gacha rate, 460 quartz and not a single SSR servant. Such a trash game, people should not play this.

Noob genshin impact. This gmae better than genshin impact

Not too bad. This is game is getting better slowly since their producer is becoming better and smarter. NA serve will get servants model renew slowly and is getting great. The most important part is now NA serve is becoming the slowest serve in all 5 serves. This problem makes game boring as fk while we finished one event or a new story comes out.

.. The rates are fine tbf. I have 2 5 stars and numerous 4 stars by the 6th Singu

Devs why…. I don’t know why they refuse to let us skip the np would the game break or something if they touch the code? Or auto battle, or let you skip a quest you already completed and get the drops? The game is too time consuming hence why I spend more time playing GBF which has these things implemented. I would like to play this game more but having to manually clear each quest every time just takes more time than it’s worth especially if you have real life to attend to. A lot of people are upset about pull rate which is also understandable and a pity system would be good for that, although I have gotten a handful of 5 stars despite not playing that much or spending much money so I’m not upset about that. Mainly upset they don’t do anything to optimize the gameplay.

Best Story for a Mobile Game. Say what you will about the gacha rates, the actual gameplay, designs, UI, and most importantly story are second to none in today’s mobile game market. I have been playing for a little over two years and its managed to keep me invested consistently over my time playing. IMO the campaign is its shooting star as the story legit has given me chills at point (ie end of Solomon). I urge you to give it a try!

Very greedy. The summoning system is the least user-friendly system and they won't give out the same rewards as other servers. Don't bother playing unless you enjoy paying more for less.

Patience. Just be patient it will get better, you will have what you need the more you play.

Swimsuit Okita’s skill doesn’t work. She has a skill that causes a défense debuff but it says it’s treated as a buff which is supposedly removable with her other skill, which has a side effect of removing defense « buffs » in this case, but when you activate them it doesn’t work, please look into this and fix it by either removing the debuffs altogether from her skills or by fixing whatever bug is causing this issue. Otherwise game is fine if not reaaaally Grindy and some dialogue sections poorly paced out. Also prices for saint quartz are stupid but I don’t buy any more

Fixed my divorce. I shot my wife

.. Daddy murmasa

I cant update. The new update wont download.

The best way to mass-produce salt. Give up on the gacha. That’s all. Whatever pitiful scraps RNGesus will give you, hold them close to your heart. However, once you’ve done that, the plot line will soothe all your worries away. Drown yourself in the fantastic storytelling, and instead start searching for lewds of your waifus/husbandos online. The game itself more than worth playing, as long as you don’t have high hopes for the gacha rate. Please give it a go. It’s the ride of a goddamn lifetime :))

.. Garbage summons

A “little” p2w. I saw the new gacha events, you were able to get a guaranteed 5 star, and even able to choose the type of np it got. Just one slight problem…..the fact that had to use 15 paid gems to do roll one, and while it might not seem a lot,15 paid gems is 26$ Canadian dollars (the extra free gems are counted as free gems)!!! Which compared to what other people are paying, might be a lucky break, but for f2p players is completely outrageous and money hungry. Please make it so you don’t have to rely on money just to get that one 5 star.

Stuff. I enjoyed the game the only problem is the game needs a way to bind accounts so people account’s don’t end up in the void

A Scam. Don’t play this game ever. Repeating game play, non finished game system with VERY LOW rate on getting ssr servants. They called the rate on having ssr servants was 0.7% but in fact there are some hidden rates that you may never know. Some games are pay to win. This game is pay to get nothing. They just want your money.

worst summon pulls ever. tired of repeatedly receiving the same 6 different craft essences and the same 6 different servants, regardless if it is 1x or 10x summon glad i never spent real money on this game, and i never will

Really Addicting Game!. This game is really good if you’re into gacha. The graphics are amazing, the storylines are exquisite, and of course the gameplay itself is really good. As the story progresses, it gets really interesting. I was really happy on the first summons I did using the saint quartz because I got 4-5 starred servants. It takes a lot of patience and lots of saving up to get the really good ones. There are groups in Facebook that could also give you tips on how to defeat a certain level or lend you their servants for support. The FGO community is a fun community too filled with helpful people. There are stories in the game that made me tear up too but I won’t say any spoilers. If you’re into reading science fiction and anime, this game is a need! I love it so much! Tip for newbies: Keep upgrading Mash and your servants as soon as possible to beat the upcoming levels. Do the daily quests for enhancement materials. And always choose a support servant that has high ATK. And check the affinity before choosing a support! It will help greatly in your battles. The only con I could think of would Mash’s skills during the lostbelts. I liked her old skills because it benefits the whole roster from her defenses. But oh well, I could still use them on the daily quests.

At best this game is abusive towards you. As a long time Fate fan I can safely say this game is only successful because of the IP. This is pure torture with it’s only saving grace being some of the later story arcs. The devs are trash and exist only to punish you with FOMO and it’s pathetic idea of gameplay (it’s just farming over and over). Avoid at all cost and just watch the story on YouTube or something.

bruh. man this game dont wanna give me a 5 star, not even a 4 star servant bro, only essences… ive only gotten essence, essence this, essence that. only essence. good game though ngl. but give me more sq so i can get more essences plz

Literally the worst game I have ever played. The app is clunky and slow. The servers barely work. The gacha mechanics are bad. The gacha characters (at least all of the ones you’ll actually get $$$$) are uninspired and boring. The start of the story is that samey basic hacky weeb trash. The only decent part of this entire game is that the core gameplay idea is fun, but this is ruined by the garbage “support” mechanic that’s only shoveled in to show you all the chars you could get if you whale a bit. Go watch the anime instead or something.

Bad drop rate. Very low chance for good cards.

Devs are living in a cave ?. Not sure how this game can justify the price of summons and how stingy it is. I wonder if devs are looking at games like genshin impact. It’s not 2017 anymore the market is full of competitors and their games look way better, plays better. Should abandon this and focus on fate arcade for mobile.

Bug. During the “holy city” area of camelot my game crashed and will no longer let me progress or leave the camelot area. Nothing i touch on my screen works. Even after closing the app, clearing my cach, hard & soft resetting my phone it wont let me leave that area after opening the game past the games introduction.

Been Playing for 3 Years. I’ve known about this this game for a long time because of my brother who played it since launch. It is a really fun game and I highly recommend you give it a chance. Rolling for 5 stars may be hard but that just means when you actually get one you feel super fulfilled and happy. Take this from from someone who finally got summer Kama after the anticipation of 2 years. It was worth the wait.

Draw rates are Garbage.. I did over 300 Crystal rolls and got only 0 five stars. So this game is Garbage.

FGO is one damn good game. Thank you voice actors and especially artists for taking their time to create such a quality game.❤️❤️The dialogue is unique to each character. Gameplay is very interesting with alot of customization and for once enjoy the story mode which I never do in other games haha. Saber will always be best waifu 😤😤👌🏼👌🏼

Not enough guys. If you want the typical big titty anime waifu collecting game, this is it. It’s pretty much all girls catering to the male (Hetero) gaze. The male servants have so much variety, there’s a horse guy, a giant robot guy, and another horse guy. But all the women look like perfect women. Choose between big titty lady, loli, or small titty lady. Not to mention all the guys are unavailable or often shoved aside to showcase the girls.

Fun. Good time waster.

Love FGO!. I have loved the way the Fate series developed and evolved, but the work and care invested into the FGO game is for me multiple things: • a breaker of tension, even a form of meditation as I think through various issues. • an amazing work of Art in it’s own class and approach expressing all the characters of the Fate universe wonderfully, artfully and faithfully. • I’m surprised to find myself appreciating characters I would normally be repelled by and reluctant to use. Giles. Matou. Mephistopheles. Angra Mayu. I’m still not using them as much as others like Medusa or Asterios or Artoria (Alter) but maybe, one day. I love how Shiki was worked into the FGO universe. I’m surprised however that her friend and Mage whom she works for in her world isn’t in the FGO game, although one of her (the Mage’s adversaries and fellow colleague) is present as an Essence card. • I’m wondering if I will live long enough to award as many Holy Grails as I’d like to the servants I have. I wonder if the afterlife is as interesting as this game. I’ll sure miss it if it isn’t. Just thought I needed to say that for the sake of the designers, the voice actors and all the related artists and programmers participating in this glorious project. A deep and warm from the heart, thank you. ありがとうございました 🙏

Summoning error. Like the title says it feels as if the summoning is bugged concerning gold servants, getting multiple copies of servants that aren't related to the banner(which is to say they aren’t featured on the rated up units.) On banner 1, 2 and 3 of the summer event got 2 Tamamo cats, 2 nitocris and 2 caster of nightless city being the only servants beside 1 saber med and 1caster gilgamesh that i obtained in several multi pulls between a mix of free and paid SQ. I know things are hard for the team that are in charge of this game but could it be that a bug is on the summoning system that messes up the rates. Any response merits a change in rating since it may as well be a bug in the system that are preventing players from getting rated up units 4 and 5 stars alike

Launching FGO with continuous crashes. I been playing since day 1 and enjoy the game but it’s getting more and more frustrating trying to login as the game just keeps crashing on launch for anywhere between 1-50+ times in a row before I give up till later on. Every update since March of 2023 has made it worse and worse to try logging in. Im at the chance the game lets me in at all and when it does I have zero issues after just launching into the game with the connection screen. I redownloaded FGO, cleared cache, downloaded extra files, and reset iPad, checked wifi for issues which were zero and FGO being the only game giving this issue. Nothing fixes the issue and I’m getting tired of even bothering anymore. It would be ideal if it was fixed but after months I doubt it’s fixable and may just move on to another game I can pass some time on.

Criminals. Before any one has any negative emotions towards my review, keep in mind that I have dumped nearly $4,000 into this game. When I wasted $600 worth of saint quarts and not get the character listed in the banner only then did I acknowledge that something was wrong. I emailed support and of course I received the same copy and paste reply I’m sure they send to others complaining about being ripped off. In that email they explained the formula and how every user has the same chance of obtaining a servant or CE. It just blows my mind that $600 still couldn’t get me the character I was saving up for. Also, no where in that email was I offered some sort of compensation, an apology, or even a thank you. That’s when I truly realized that I had to stop. Sure some of you will find it hard to stop or even move on from the game but trust me, you can. Play “Dragon Ball Legends” and see how a well supported gotcha game should be. Good Luck.

Support is a joke. Trying to get my account back but support is useless. Unless you made a purchase they can’t help you. What a fn joke. It’s like the devs and support is ran by a bunch of idiots who want you to start over and hope you spend. Next president needs to ban gacha games or limit one purchase a month or none. Games like these are running the world. This is the worst game out. Genshin took there rates so it’s a close second. Gacha rates low, prices high. Small screen, not made for anything higher than iPhone 8. Everything gets cut off like theses guys are dumb and can make it fit the screen. Back again. How this is still here they falsely don’t post bad reviews. Games says 12+ but the gambling age is 21. The graphics of how dirty some characters are don’t make this game a 12+ it should be mature and 17-18plus game. This guys are targeting kinds to get addicted to gambling. I’m going to more review websites to post since I know they be up and posted while theses reviews they delete.

Brutal Gacha. Updating, as recent updates appear to have fixed the crashing issues and added more content. The gacha is still brutal. The battle system is serviceable (rock, paper, scissors is the main mechanic), though bogged down a bit by too much randomness. It can get a bit tedious, as the main way to strengthen your characters is with the horribly repetitive daily missions - where you fight waves of the exact same enemy (the "hands") over and over and over again. Materials gathering has improved recently, with more varied and useful daily quests for each class. The gacha (which is how you acquire characters to use for battle), though, is simply abusive. The drop rates for the most desirable characters are horribly low, and even most "good" drops are anything but. As an example, as I write this review, there's a "rate up" for a certain character in the gacha right now - which means that currently there is *still* have a less than 1% chance to get that character. Given that pulls cost up to three bucks each and that the game isn't currently generous with free pulls, well ... prepare to spend a lot of money if you want to get a certain character. The game does give you some freebies in events which can ease the pain, but you will have a lot more fun with the game if you don't care specifically who you get.

A must play for Fate fans. Look, I’m not going to get into the nitty gritty gacha mechanics because it’s pretty normal stuff. Your luck determines who you get. I myself haven’t been lucky, but that’s not what we’re here to discuss. Yeah you could write this off as another “waifu collector” game, but if you do that you’re really discounting what this game has that most other games of the ilk don’t have. A good story. Look it’s a slow start, and you might feel like it’s odd and quirky sometimes but once you get past all the early singularities and reach Camelot and beyond, you’ve hit story telling gold. (Nasu took control) I won’t say anything because well, spoilers, but the story gets good! There’s a real reason why two singularities are being made into an anime TV series and an anime movie series. Oh and this game has a solid and sturdy roadmap. Since this is the English release, we can see the future. (JP is ahead of us by two years) And I can safely say that we have a lot of content inbound. One last thing, fate fans, if you’ve ever wanted to be able to surround yourself with servants you love and not have to worry about them leaving you forever, look no further.

Weeby but fun enough. This is what you would expect from a Fate gatcha. Gameplay is quite fun, and it makes you engage with the gameplay (no auto-grind) enough that you care about what characters you are using (francis drake, the pirate, is the best at grinding for cash and i love it). The story ranges from downright insulting early on to pretty fun, if silly. It is gatcha, and therefore a trap/pit for you to shovel cash into, but it is totally doable if you dont spend money. (this section is just me complaining, please ignore me) MASH NOT MASHU, SABER NOT SAIBA, MUSASHI IS FROM ANOTHER WORLD OUR WORLDS MUSASHI IS A DUDE. For the love of god dont mispronounce english words and names just to sound more japanese, especially when you have to type them out. And read the lore before you comment about the lore.

Great early game, hard grind late game. I played this game for 3 weeks during the 7 Sword Beauties. Enjoyed the game, was putting money into the game. Then I started to realize something. It seems very very hard to get exp materials as you level up. I got a few 5 stars and was very excited only to find out that if there are no events, it is super hard to level anyone in the game up. I enjoyed it a lot when I could see noticeable growth on my characters but now that it’s gone? Just feels like slaving away would be the only way to get stronger. There were things I couldn’t do in the event because I got my characters as strong as I could and it wasn’t enough. TLDR, need a way to get more Exp mats.

Far Behind Japan. This app is exactly what you’d expect from a gatcha type game; daily login bonuses, an in game currency that can be purchased with actual money, and timed events. This brings me to my only complaint with the game. The English version is two years behind the Japanese one, so at the current rate, expect everything that Japan is getting now to arrive on US servers in two years assuming the servers aren’t shut down. If you don’t want to to wait that long, figure out a way to get the Japanese app. Unless you make accounts on different servers, you will be missing out on at least two years of content that is technically already out. My personal opinion is that whoever is in charge should decide to put the non-annual events (i.e not summer, Halloween, Christmas) up earlier and in relatively quick succession so eventually all servers will be caught up to each other like other gatcha apps.

Worst customer service. I had played this game for at least a month and when I got a new iPhone and reinstall the game, I realized that I didn't know the account ID. So I contacted the support about the situation and did what they told me, but they say it does not match. I sent them many screenshots of receipts of purchase which has my personal info on it and everything and told them all I could to remember all the details in the account, but they say it does not match. I repeat the process over and over with whatever information I could remember, but they still wouldn't help me and I had been doing it for almost two weeks. So I had iTunes customer service to help me with the situation and they told me they will refund me the purchase. I didn't want to get it refunded, but they left me with no other choice and it left me completely dissatisfied and had completely killed my enthusiasm for this game and the anime. I understand the security and protection for game accounts but this is way too ridiculous for just security.

Impossible Odds - Ridiculous Gacha. Being a huge Fate fan, I downloaded this game way back when it was first released, and I have gotten every single log in bonus and as many opportunities as possible to get saint quartz. I STILL haven't been able to summon a 5 star hero. Not being able to play with my favorite characters is really depressing, ESPECIALLY that I've been playing and summoning for as long as I have and that they constantly show off the character that you want with the flashy summon banner. As others have said, the drop rates on the gacha are insane, I'd say they're as bad as getting a skirt in PUBG, which is borderline impossible. I'm uninstalling after all this time, and I regret taking the time out of my day, every day, to play it under the false hope that I'd get a character I like. I love Aniplex and their products (I've spent thousands on their blu-ray sets), but this game is such a crazy cash grab, and I refuse to support it.

Could be amazing but.... It could be an amazing game, however it’s incredibly repetitive, the best characters/cards are locked behind a pay wall that only gives you a small chance (1% or lower) to get them, and at the end of the day feels like a scam. It can be fun in small doses and if you get extremely lucky you can get an elusive 5 ⭐️ card, but before you can actually get any good cards you have to beat the entire first section of the game, or spend real money. It’s a shame you have to spend so much for such a small chance to get a good, or interesting character. It’s true you don’t have to have a full 5⭐️ card team to beat the game but for collectors, and people wanting to play as there favorite character from fate it’s tough luck unless you cough up that sweet sweet dough. The game just feels like a oddly paced money grab riding on the back of a amazing franchise. I would have rather paid for a good game that gotten an ok game I have to spend money in to enjoy.

Only one issue.. I’ve noticed that the histories behind some characters are inaccurate. A good example is Charles-Henri Sanson. The game states that HE executed Queen Marie Antoinette. This is false. His son, Henri Sanson, the fifth in a line of six executioners, was the one who did, and Charles-Henri Sanson watched from the audience, as Henri Sanson did when Charles-Henri Sanson executed King Louis XVI. Other than that, his history checks out, such as medical practices, being the first to use the guillotine, influencing its invention, and disliking his occupation. I believe historical fallacies are good to bring to light, simply because the interactions between Marie Antoinette and Charles-Henri Sanson made little sense to me, as did his description in-game. Thanks for tolerating my little rant here, it’s just that I’m really into history and Charles-Henri Sanson is one of my favorite historical figures, so it kinda set my off. Sorry!

I honestly can’t put it down. Yeah the gacha rates are pretty low and that is a bummer but the game can be played easily with low star servants. The game give you plenty of Saint Quartz by playing the story mode and free quests so you can get characters and Craft Essences easily. You won’t always get what you want and that’s a major bummer but it’s not anything to cry over. You don’t need to spend hundreds upon hundreds to get a decent 4 Star character like some people whine about. The game gives you a four star right off the bat to help you out. The gameplay is fun, I usually lose interest in app games quickly but it’s been several months since I played it at release and I rarely miss a day. It’s worth picking up and atleast trying it. I can’t wait for them to release more chapters :3

Game is awesome and stop Complaining about the Gacha. One of the best storylines in the Fate series and the fact it’s free is one of the luckiest things in the world. If you’re getting stuck anywhere in the game(especially without “muh 5 star servants!!!111”)you’ve probably never played a RPG where you had to actually use your brain. As for the gacha. Treat it like gambling in Vegas. It’s all luck and actually beating the house for every servant you want is near impossible so stop trying too and just be happy with what you get. If you disagree just don’t pay for more Saint Quartz. And especially don’t complain if you don’t buy any because you actually need to fund the servers and the writers for a story as good as this.

A review. I have been playing FGO for around a year now so I figured now is a good time to write a review. The gacha rate as many know, is hot garbage. You can spend thousands and not get a single copy of the servant you want. However, high rarity servants aren’t needed to complete the game. Unlike other gacha games where high rarity units are needed to progress FGO has a pretty good sense of balance so that even F2P players can get through the game. In fact, most of the lower 3 star servants are pretty strong and can rival even the SSR servants. Another plus of this game is that there is no PVP which is possibly this game’s best saving grace as no matter how high level or maxed out your servants are, you can’t curb stomp smaller players. Other than that the story and gameplay is solid but the gacha rate as mentioned is atrocious.

Lack of iphone xr, xs and xs max support. This is not a review of fate grand order, I personally love the game and cant stop playing it whenever i can, but ever since i upgraded to a new phone the game has constant lag and stutter because it isn’t optimized for the new iphones, so this is more me putting light on the issue so it gets fixed asap, they have acknowledged the issue and have said an update would be out soon but that was months ago and still nothing, its just a minor annoyance that i can only see the ends of attack animations and there’s constant stutter and lag with everything, i can put up with it but i hope an update is put out soon to fill the screen and fix the frame rate issue

Horrible summon rate. Summon rates are bad. Even when boosted for specific servants during events. Still only 0.700% for the 5star servant in that event summon. Don’t spend money attaining SQ for summoning either. You’ll end up wasting it in seconds and still not get the servant you want. Had 500+ SQ saved and all I Got was 6 four star servants of the event which had a lower summon rate than the 5star and 4 other 4star servants whom had an even lower rate. Yet I didn’t get the 5star. 500 sq and still couldn’t get the 5star event servant that had a higher summon rate.🤦🏽‍♂️ I get that it’s gacha but that’s trash. Needs higher summon rates. Also once you’re caught up with the game all the way you’ll have no way to get more sq aside from the 6 you get per week via weekly task and login bonuses. Needs new ways to earn sq. Love the game but it’s dying down with these flaws.

Upset. I would first like to say I love this game. I’ve been playing it for over a year and a half and this is really the only time I’ve been disappointed. I understand when you do pulls for servants your gambling and I’ve done my fair share on the app but I’ve never had the problem I’ve been having recently. Since the “summer banners” have started i have made roughly 12 ten pulls “mostly on the racing banner” and I have received 3 ‘4star’ or higher servants and everything else is Craft Essence or 3 star or less servants. My complaint isn’t that I only received 3 ‘4 star’ or higher servants. I’m cool with that because it’s gambling. My problem is none of the servants were banner servants. All 3 were off banner and I feel like that’s a gip. You guys put out a great product but this was disappointing.

The gacha isn’t terrible. I’ve been playing FGO for a little over a year now I want to talk about the gacha. First things first I’m a completely F2P player yet I have over 40 gold servants and 10 of them are 5*. I even have an alt account with two 5*. People complain about not getting enough SQ but you just need to play the game and get your log on bonuses and that’s not even counting tickets which are basically 3SQ which you can buy three of in the shop every month and get given one every week. The game is also very easy to re-roll if you find you haven’t gotten very lucky. Especially if you start at a time when the their giving away SQ as a gift which happens quite often.

Bad decisions to force purchase. For Thanksgiving the devs decided to grant a 10 card summon that guaranteed a 5 star SSR card. Not a bad deal. However, there was a catch. The summoner could not use any of the Saint Quartz they had carefully stocked up through the play of the game. No, they were only allowed to use purchased Saint Quartz. Not even bonus SQ from a purchase could be used. In fact, they have created separate categories of SQ in game. Free, and purchased. This creates a very definitive line between pay-to-win players and all others. Granted, by its very nature, an app with micro transactions and in-app purchases gives advantages to those who spend the money. However, this single instance of preferential treatment is such a slap in the face to those who play casually or are free players that I have to advise anyone considering playing this game that unless you are willing to spend a serious chunk of money on it, you would be better off avoiding it.

Must have EX Luck for SSRS. It’s a good gacha game. Not gonna lie, you either got the money for this gacha or you playing f2p. Which means free to play, for those that don’t know. The main story is amazing and the servants are hilarious and good at the same time. Spend your money wisely when playing this gacha, luck is truly an amazing thing in this game! Once you get a gold or rainbow circle in the gacha game you literally have a mini heart attack and now you’re hook to it lol. This is a farming game, it get kinda boring sometimes and dry when they’re no events. Grind up your 4-1 star servants and enjoy the ride if you’re a starter. Other than that the fgo gets a 4/5 for me. Know your limits when playing, don’t beat up wallet-kun cause you didn’t get that ssr.

Fun, engaging story with great gameplay. This game has a pretty fun story, but it takes time to become good. I’d place it either in singularity three or four. The characters are fun and most servants either appear in the story or an event, with very few exceptions. Secondly, the mechanics are rather engaging. It’s easy enough to pick up, but there is enough strategy needed in the later stage of the game to make it challenging without being overwhelming. Finally, there are four star servants given out in almost every event, along with a free four star at the beginning of the game. I already have received three in the past four months I’ve played just by doing the events. However, the drop rates for five stars are atrocious, but they aren’t really needed to win. Also, it’s grindy as hell, so expect it to be a massive time sink.

I’m done. I’ve played this game for a long time now and never have I been as badly burned by gacha rates as this game this many times. Not my first time being slap by bad rates, but after a while of getting nothing I have little incentive to keep playing. We’re talking about 15 x10 pulls and not a single 5 star unit, mediocre craft essence everywhere, and F2P depression because you used everything you saved up and ended up with nothing or a awful unit that will never be of use. Quartz grinding is laughably atrocious, and with rates this bad you might as well have wasted your time. Event rewards are insultingly useless, most of these “rewards” you can get are also in the regular shop. I gave it 3 stars because it was an alright game when the gacha wasn’t this bad.

The servants are too attractive.. I’ve been playing this game for a while and I really love it, it’s on my top 50 favourite games and I’m not even a mobile gamer. The biggest problem with this masterpiece is that the servants are just too hot, every time I have to summon anyone or look anywhere on the screen, BOOM, a baddie randomly appears on the screen?? Why? I’m not saying to make the characters ugly but Jesus Christ, the only game that’s ever made me this horny is 2k and that’s the peak of video game appeal towards males. It’s so difficult playing the game with one hand and just slows my progress by a tenfold. Fix the game, I don’t wanna be horny I just wanna play

One of the best games I’ve played.. While some may say it’s pay to win. Or the gacha is trash, I have to say otherwise. While yes pulling a four to five star servant is very difficult XD. It does not matter, some of the best servants are in the 3 and lower range. Plus the game gives you free welfare servants in events that are really good. This past event we got a free alter ego which is very hard to come by. The only other alter egos are in special limited time events. So getting a free one was super beneficial. The game is still growing and gaining more and more of a fan base. For me it’s a great way to past time, the other great thing about this game is the story. I mean at some points it’s a real heart tug with some story lines. If you want a game that has a great story and memorable characters. Consider playing Fate/GO, it’s pretty awesome.

meh.. The game does not adjust to screen size (iphone x), the story itself is a bore narrated by stiff 2D stills and seldom if ever voiced to distract from the cheap makeup of the game‘s story mode. The resources necessary for champion summoning seems to take forever to grind and the rates themselves (1% for a 5*, 3% for a 4* etc) abysmal. Gameplay-wise the most fulfilling to see are the noble phantasms which, sadly, you‘ll rarely even get to use in the beginning since the enemies will be long defeated before you even have the meter filled. Even so I would imagine that after a while of playing even those animations would get rather tiresome to see. TLDR: if you aren‘t a hardcore fate fan you will most likely find far better gacha games to spend your time on.

Honesty Only. So I’m going to be honest. Anyone complaining about rates needs to really sit down and stop talking. Ignore their salt ridden reviews because I will say what should be an accurate rep of the game. It’s a fun card based game where you spend in game currency to try and get characters you want. You will get a free 4 star unit and will be given said currency enough to try and try again. While yes it is hard to get 5 star units, I’d say you will eventually get one. Everyone I know, including free to play friends, have gotten a 5 star. So basically it’s a fun game just with some folks who are salt ridden because they didn’t get their favorite character and want to take out their rage here.

Not even Mediocre. Worst rates for rare characters of any mobile game I’ve tried with mediocre gameplay, story is pretty good but not the best. It is, after all, not the ideal medium for telling stories. The events give cool things and manage to get me back into playing but really I just play because I’ve had it so long and have sunk to much time and energy to just leave it by the wayside. Although make no mistake that basically just means I log in to keep the weekly chain going. If you are considering getting it I honestly don’t think I can recommend it. Even if you are absolutely in love with the characters it’s just a money pit or it’ll turn that love into apathy or hatred. I loved the fate universe but heaven has no rage like love to hatred made. Now I see it with more contempt than love and the characters I once strove to collect are mere existences for which I lack desire.

Good game but.... Don’t get suckered in by the obvious money grab. Paying 25 usd for one ten pull is ridiculous, especially when the chance of getting a 5* is sitting around 1%. Let me repeat that. 1. %. Unless you’ve stolen your parents credit card it’s certainly not worth the money. I’m completely F2P and have been able to do just fine. You’ll get plenty of four stars to work with (from quartz draws and freebies during events that actually are good to use) and the occasional 5, but I’ve managed to clear the storyline using two and three star cards (cuz some of them are my favs) as well. The game itself is fairly easy to understand. The game focuses on using solid team dynamics and playing the right cards at the right time to advance. There are loads of servants to choose from and build a team around. While there certainly are tiers of servants since there’s no pvp mode to worry about just go with the ones you enjoy. The voices are all Japanese but you can get translations in the menu, and the cut scenes are all in English so you won’t miss any plot points. The plot btw lives up to the fate franchise name. I like it. Other than the fact that quartz is too expensive to even consider buying and 5* draws boil down to extreme luck, it’s an overall enjoyable game that I highly recommend

Pretty Good. This app is pretty good. The story is interesting and the characters are likable. The only problems I have are the drop rate of 5 star heroes and the payment system. The way it’s set up the drop rate for a 5 Star is so low, I’m not even sure it’s possible for someone to get one in the regular summing area. However, you can buy one, for 30 saint quartz crystals. which wouldn’t be so bad if it actually accepted the quartz you earn, instead your forced to spend actual money on it, but with the prices are so poorly placed you have to spend 20+ dollars for one hero. So your only options are spend a quarter of the cost of an actual game or make do with 4 stars. But overall it’s an entertaining game and definitely worth getting.

Probably the best game on the App Store, right now.. As a long time fan of the Fate franchise, I highly recommend this game for both it's story (which is fully canon, not that that means much with how complex the Nasuverse is) and it's fun combat. This is a very grind heavy game, with an emphasis on working for every level/ ascension. Gacha rates are low, resulting in many people complaining about them, these people obviously don't enjoy the rush of finally pulling that SR/ SSR you've been lusting after. Some people say you need SR/ SSR servants to progress, which is a blatant lie. This game is literally balanced in such a way that the 1-3 star servants you can get from free summon are viable even in lategame content. This is a husbando/ waifu game, not a "spend thousands to min/max a servant so you can easymode the game" type game. The game doesn't even consist of servants that = easymode. The combat is basic, very easy to comprehend and clearly designed for grinding (you can grind pretty mindlessly very easily) The game is extremely generous with its premium currency, just not to the extent of something like Dokkan Battle. You don't get a free 10 shot every week like Dokkan Battle. It's called an in-game economy for a reason.

Great game!. As an avid fan of the Fate/ franchise I was ecstatic to see that they were going to release this game on NA servers, as I had been casually playing the Japanese version. This game is filled to the brim with great content. Also a lot of people are complaining about the gacha... This game doesn’t require ANY 4 or 5 star servants to get through the story. Hans Christian Andersen, a 2 star caster can be as helpful as Zhuge Liang a 5 star caster, and one of the best supporters in the game, if you’re willing to put in a little extra effort. Also people are saying Quartz is too rare... that’s only if you summon on every single banner... if you save up your quartz and tickets for the servants you actually want there is PLENTY. Unless the servant you want is Jalter and/or Merlin in that case there isn’t even close to enough...

Understand this.. I have been playing 450 days. Obviously gameplay is good if I played this long. -Other Gacha games hand you free 5 star/7star/SSR grade units, this game DOES NOT. You roll for them and it's luck of the draw. And therefore, your servants are actually of value. Luck of the draw. -High Speed Servers: Minimal load times and if you do a full download of the game through game options on wifi (scroll down to the middle), you can operate this game on very minimal data. Minimal downtime also. -You can most definitely survive on the more common three star units and 4 stars. It will take a little more strategizing but I survived on my starting 2 starting 4 stars and 3 stars for three months before i rolled my first SSR.

Please change English version to full English :). I really like great voice acting in video games it adds to the experience instead of just reading words, I love to read but in a game it's just more entertaining to have a voice over. Also it says English version but the characters are speaking...forgive me as I am really not sure and I'm not trying to be rude or funny...instead of English they are speaking Japanese or Something of the sort. I really love the much needed voice overs in video games from the voices of the characters to the narration. Please change this or at least give us an option to choose English voices. It would make the game so much better instead of reading so much and also would be cool to understand and hear them in English, but otherwise the game seems like fun thank you for all your hard work guys/ladies.

Whaling Optional, F2P is Easy. Gacha Game with tier system. Servants are ranked 1-5 stars and divided across 13 classes. 1-3 stars are readily acquired and 4 star Event or “Welfare” Servants are fairly common. Rarity indicates the inherent base power of the servant. Higher rarity tends to lend to a more no-brainer approach, but lower rarity servants can compete and exceed high rarity servants if utilized effectively within a team. Every. Servant. Is. Usable. Given appropriate team composition, any servant can be justified. Regardless of meta. The Gacha should be approached with care. The chances of 4-5 star servants (especially 5 star) is abysmal and the rate up only means that on the terribly low chance you roll a high rarity servant, it has a slightly higher probability of being the rate up servant. Do not approach rate ups with the expectation of rolling a high rarity servant. Some will get exceptionally lucky on random rolls, while others will literally blow hundreds of quartz (or dollars!) and walk away with nothing. F2P is the responsible way to go, but if you’re like me who enjoys dropping money on a gamble, go for it. Story is excellent, makes some references you may have to look-up, but is definitely accessible for newcomers to the Fate series.

In response to those haters out there. First of all yes 5 stars are rare, that’s the point. Don’t complain if you didn’t get one on your first roll. It takes time and planning to get a 5 star. Really if you want one you just save your quartz until an event banner comes out with the 5 star you want. I have gotten 2 this way and have never spent any money on it. There are people who get lucky and get a bunch without spending money too. And there are people who spend hundreds of dollars and still never get one. In summary, only roll on event banners and your chances will increase, the game is very good but gets a bad rep from haters who think they deserve 3 different 5 stars on their first roll just because they downloaded the game.

Alot of whining and salt. You might read alot of salty guys here saying the rates are bad and you can’t beat any singularities from okeanos to america without 5* servants,in this game we don’t have constantly changing meta,no tooo game breaking servant (put waver and merlin aside) and we don’t even need them unless there is an extremely hard event, well face it the rates are bad 1% chance and quartzs are hard to come by but in this game servants that are 3* or lower is extremely powerful cú chulainn is a good example,so here is a tip,use your low star servant (yes they’re not cool shiny ssr )as they can help you through most content of the game, also on NA server we know all of the upcoming event and servant rate up so save up quarzts for summoning those you like. CONCLUSION don’t whine about “crappy” servants and enjoy the grindfest

Fair, but unforgiving - rewards patience & perseverance. Having played many mobile gacha games, I feel like one of Fate’s greatest strengths is that it doesn’t have the same level of “power creep” as other games in the genre. Sure, there’s some exceptionally powerful characters locked behind random drops, but the game is balanced such that you’re able to use a combination of cheap/free characters for all but the highest tiers of content. It is also fair with distributing in-game currency, so with enough patience, proper planning, and a little (or a lot) of luck, you should be able to accumulate at least one of the ultra-powerhouses every few months. The game only becomes punishing when you place expectations on character collection and ignore the gameplay; this isn’t Pokémon - it’s a heavily story-based strategy game. Like any great strategy game, there’s a difficulty curve, and just because you can coast through the first few chapters with a “mashing X” strategy doesn’t mean you should - sooner or later, this game WILL find a way to punish you if you don’t fully understand how to play. (Tip: when in doubt, use your shield)

Good game, could be better.. Overall I would have to say that this is a great game, love the story, like the characters, etc. but it does have some flaws. The first thing I found to be a exceptionally irritating flaw, is that the friend point summons and saint quartz summons are not separate! Summoning 4 and 5 star servants is difficult enough without throwing the friend point guys in! There are even plenty of non fp 3 stars that can act as summon fodder for saint quartz instead! At least separate the two summoning lists! If I’m to be using a totally different currency, I should get different summons. I shouldn’t have to worry about summoning another Medusa, Caesar, kiyohime, or FP summon when I’m using something as time consuming to collect as saint quartz.

Great game. I really love this game. There’s no pay to win, a feature I love the most. You can play without paying (which is what I do) and gatcha wise it’s not too bad! I do suggest planning ahead for character you want so you can save because the gatcha is cruel sometimes. But for me, I’ve never not gotten a 5 star I wanted in their banner. Gameplay wise it’s simple and yet some fights in the story make you have to really push who you use and how. I also love the events they hold in game. The characters are great! (David and Romani are my faves!!!) and any servant can be leveled to a 5 star if you want them to be! The voice acting is sublime and the animations are getting better and better. My favorite and 1/2 mobile games I have kept on my phone for over two years.

Great story and gameplay!. I’m not into mobile games at all, but this story and gameplay has me hooked. I watched the anime casually and got into the lore then decided to give this game a shot just to pass time and for the new story. Definitely worth it in my opinion, the story had me wanting to progress through the main campaign since I started. Haven’t watched the new anime Grand Order yet, but just playing through the game I feel is going to make me appreciate the new season and movies a bit more! Give this game a try and if you don't like it you can always delete later. I’ve read online that 99% of this game can be played for free and I haven’t spent anything, yet I’m having a great time with this mobile game!

Honestly, Stay Away FeelsBadMan. I used to play this game hours on end, had multiple accounts, and at 1 time spent more time on this game that any other. I love this game, and its characters… but it is a TERRIBLE gatcha. The people saying the rates are abysmal aren’t lying, I’d know. Spend enough time (years) and you can amass a decent F2P roster, but your crazy if you think you can confidently get the units you want. Banners that have “high” chances of acquiring specific units are still way too low. I spent nearly a hundo on a banner and STILL didn't get the unit I was aiming for… and I remember feeling such a degree of disappointment. I wasn’t opposed to spending at that point, since I played the game more than anything else, but as soon as I broke my F2P will, I got shafted. I dropped the game, uninstalling it shortly after. Started Epic 7 a 4-5 years later, and like all gatchas its trash, but at least the pity summons are a lot more merciful.

Very good game. This game is great and the story does very good at representing the anime. I have been playing it for about 2 months have yet to feel the need to spend real money. I’ve managed to obtain a couple of great 5 star characters using only the currency obtained in game and give aways. The friend pts have been enough to be able to level up my characters up to this point without any complaints. With that said I am giving 4 stars due to the fact that the premium in game currency is very expensive for the low quantity they sell them in. Fortunately the game’s dev team has been very generous in giving out some for free whenever there are technical issues and during holidays and for this reason I gave it a 4 star rating instead of 3

Enjoyable. 5* on the writing alone, but honestly the Gacha system brings it down to 4. It’s certainly better than it used to be, but it’s a far from ideal or fair pool. Pull rates for servants are abysmal on higher rarities, rate up barely does anything, and despite having 2 different systems that are “technically pity”, 1 requires rolling 15 of the same 5* to work and the other has such an absurd number of pulls before it triggers anyone lower tier than a leviathan spender won’t see them at all. Seriously tho, if the story’s putting you off at the beginning keep playing, starting at Singularity 4 they actually start trying with the writing and the current chapters being released are basically full length visual novels in their own right

Better off somewhere else.. I’m a longtime fan of the fate franchise and when I found Fate G/O I was ecstatic! I got in and started playing to really love the gameplay and story, but the summoning system ruined it all. Now I understand that the gatcha system is just gambling and that the best servants should be hard to get but there are places where I would draw a line. When summoning you can get anywhere from a 1* to a 5* servant or craft essence(CE) but when the 4* and 5* servant appearance rates combined are only 5% is just a rip-off. Now I realize that the game is designed so that it can be beaten with any rarity of servant but after awhile it just becomes insanely difficult because of how weak the most common servants are. The amount of time needed to grind enough Saints Quartz for a tenfold summon isn’t worth it to just get CE that will most likely not be used. Better off playing a different game.

Great but…. This game has a very good story, but suffers from the syndrome of only starting to get interesting later on. The gameplay has turned-based strategy and focus on team composition in later chapters, and in boss battles. Early gameplay, you can just unga bunga with help from someone. The gacha is very controversial, as some say that the low rates of getting a 5 star makes it feel special to get them, but In my opinion I disagree, because what’s the point if you save for months and get nothing and also since there is no pity so spending 1000 or even 5000 quartz won’t guarantee you anything. I also think that the way to get or amount of the quartz should increase, since the only way you can get a large amount of quartz is only on anniversaries.

It’s so pretty. Got started on this journey on a very unusual way. WSJ made a video on a Japanese man who got hooked on this game and spent $7,000. I downloaded it to see what the hubub was about. Sure enough I saw the appeal, a visual novel game on phone format with colorful adaptations of historical and fictional characters. While I have no background in this anime or game series I understand why it has resulted in so many sequels. It’s artfully crafted and the noble fantasms are a very good introduction to the famous deeds of these figures. Got to say even in spite of the liberties taken with some characters (gender changes, rainbow filters, etc) I still enjoyed the hell out of it. It’s hard not to get hooked. Don’t start when you have no time to spare this is more of a time sink than a money sink.

Update ruins the game’s integrity. The new update that includes changes to the game’s battle speed ruins the integrity of the art in motion. Either at so-called normal speed it is a grating slo-mo, or at the increased speed which used to be too hyper fast has now become ultra fast to the point of almost skipping past the animations. While the increased speed can be useful when grinding and farming the events, the sprite art animations’ integrity are ruined. Cannot enjoy looking at my favorite characters anymore like this. I used to rather enjoy this gacha game’s battle system and the superb story, but the new updates to the game’s battle system interface that changes the speeds outright ruins all enjoyability of playing the game. It makes me wish the battle would be instantly over and that is unsatisfying. Really wish there was a middle option that preserves the art’s integrity and fights at a proper pace.
