Lacking multiple profiles. My kids have a great time playing the game but I would like to see multiple profiles under one parent account. My kids are 7 & 4 and at different stages so it would be nice to have different levels plus separating the profiles allows for players to move at their own pace instead of together. I would actually pay a couple bucks more to get a family profile.

Lame. Subscription only model. Insane!

How to cancel the monthly subscription?. My daughter is no longer playing the games on this app and I can’t find how to cancel the monthly subscription! When I go to app support it takes me to a website with the different Highlights products, but it doesn’t say anything about canceling the app. The app itself says to follow the rules from the App Store, but there’s nothing in my App Store that explains how to cancel the subscription. Help!

No sound. Like the app but too expensive to pay per month and sound is t working

There is no game. This app has zero functionality without a $3/month subscription! It is completely misleading. There is no game at all without a subscription. There’s not even a demo with option to purchase in app. The only thing this app includes is a demand for a subscription. This is useless, misleading bait-ware plain and simple. Avoid this app.

Trickery & Flawed. First, they tease the "free" app to children on the magazine that their parents have purchased, but sneakily try to add a forever expensive monthly subscription once you go to download. Second, the app freezes and hardly ever works. Shame on you using children's hope this way and not even building something of value for value. Should come with your magazine subscription.

Deceptive. It downloads for “free” but then costs $2.99/month to do anything with it. I think I will just keep my original Hidden Pictures from years ago on my old phone and play with those instead.

Automatic charges. Disappointed to see this app automatically charge monthly fees after the free period is up AND they don’t have a straightforward way (on site or app) to cancel subscription. Shouldn’t need to email directly for something that should be standard. Very sneaky money-making practice.

Awesome games but...... I grew up with highlights and loved the magazine. My daughter really enjoys this app and so I purchased the subscription to unlock more games. The games are still locked and I’m not sure how to access them, when I clicked on the “access more games” link the pop up said I already subscribed and am still unable to open these extra games. Is this a bug, please advise, thank you!

You Better Want To Pay Forever. The app is good WHEN YOU WANT IT. My kids got older and no longer use the app. I don’t want to pay a monthly charge, but there is no way to cancel payment. I have reached out via email through their app support and customer support emails numerous with no response. This isn’t just a lack of transparency when signing up, it seems like straight dishonesty. As parents, we try and find safe and educational ways to keep our kids entertained and then run across this type of “business” that is obviously out to make a dollar with no concern for anything but their bottom line. Please, just out of principle, do not purchase this app.

Great when it works. My 4 year old and even my 7 year old love this app BUT so often they start the app and it gets to the part where they can select which puzzle they want to do and it freezes. This happens all the time and it’s very frustrating. I want to keep this but am going to have to delete and cancel if that doesn’t get fixed very quickly.

Doesn’t work. I will give this two stars and not one only because my daughter desperately wants to play this game. The game freezes constantly. She has only been able to play it twice. I am also offended by the automated apologies that respond to customer grievances, but don’t actually fix the problem.

Puzzles 🧩. I love ❤️ this game

App did not work for 3/4 of free subscription month. Be forewarned, you may have to uninstall and reinstall this app every time you want to use it.

Sound doesn’t work. Downloaded this app this morning. Sound doesn’t work. Tried to reinstall the app, tried another device, and 2 calls to customer service...with no resolution. Is this a known issue? Volume works on other games on same device. Customer service claims the app doesn’t have sound and that they don’t support the app. Too. Ad, it looks like it would be fun.

Doesn't open!. Downloaded app twice. Starts to load, then crashes. Unable to use at all. Loved the magazine as a kid, thought my son would enjoy this- but it doesn't work. Deleting it.

Great kids app. I purchased this app because my granddaughters love highlights. They will often use it whenever they use my ipad. The draw back is that If you cancel the subscription, you will loose access to all the paid puzzles. Many of the puzzles were never used on my app. Now if they play it, there are only 2 puzzles. I decided to cancel the subscription after a year because there were too many unused puzzles, and I thought I would still have access to the ones I paid for during the subscription. I assumed that I just would not receive any new ones. Wrong. I lost them all. Not worth the subscription if you will loose the ones you paid to play.

Doesnt work :(. My son was so excited to download this app after having such a fun time with our Highlights magazines. Unfortunately we've only been able to play it once. Same as the previous reviews, it freezes and won't open. I'm especially disappointed because our free trial is running out without being able to take advantage of it. Please fix soon!! We do intend to pay for the subscription if these issues are resolved, I am very happy with the content.

Can’t Cancel Subscription. My kids were disinterested in the puzzles so I decided to cancel the subscription after the free trial was over. I’ve spent all morning attempting to cancel my subscription. The “cancel subscription” option is nowhere to be found in Settings. I guess my next stop is contacting Apple directly.

You don’t keep puzzles unless you keep paying. Puzzles are fun and entertained my 2 year old; however because as we are told now, it’s a subscription series, you lose all your puzzles if you don’t renew. I feel that should be stated more clearly,

Best Game In The App Store. Puzzle town. Puzzle town is so good 😊 Me and my sister 💗 it.

So far so good. So far so good for my 2 year old. She is a bit young to do some of these on her own but we play together and she is getting the hang of it. My concern is that there are only 5 types of games. This will get boring quickly. I get it, new games are uploaded weekly, but I don’t see how this justifies paying a monthly subscription; they’re just the same old types of games. We are hanging in there for now. She seems to be really enjoying the games.

Glitching. Can’t swipe to different houses

Disappointed. I was disappointed to find out that Highlights a name known for children’s fun, a name I grew up with, has to charge a monthly subscription fee. I downloaded the app for my grandson, I completed the first puzzle (not realizing you only get the one puzzle free) so I could explore the app before my grandson sees it, so there was nothing for my grandson. I may have paid 2.99 upfront but not monthly. There are other good apps that are free.

Can’t cancel. Need to cancel this. How do I do that? No longer works. 4&1/2 yr old already bored with it. I need to cancel free trial. How do I do that?

Wow. Amazing!!!

Needs a large screen to be playable. Not only does it need a large screen to play on (so my toddler can’t play on the phone). But when he’s trying to play the puzzles there’s some sort of glitch that every time he touches a puzzle piece he’s already put in place it pulls up a math problem as though it needs parental guidance. The hidden pictures are almost even impossible for myself on the phone so back to needing a large screen to play this game. Overall disappointing, I’d rather abc mouse or some other app if I’m paying a monthly subscription.

This fun. I am 4 years old. My grandma got this set of puzzles. This is fun. I like “Hi Five”, too. And it’s on family share so Mama And Papa can have it on their phones, too.

Nieces and nephews love it!. My nieces and nephews (ages 2-7) love this game! It’s a little easy for the older ones, but they enjoy helping the younger ones too. Their favorite part is the egg-hatching rewards!

LOVE IT!. Great app for my 3 year old and I know she will love it as she grows bigger and wiser!!

Not a free app. I was highly disappointed to download this free app only to find out you can’t actually do anything on it without paying $2.99 a month. If it was $3 to buy the app and then free from then on, I wouldn’t be frustrated. But it’s extremely misleading to download a free app and not have it be the least bit free.

Not a good value. Could be great but not as a subscription. After paying for almost a year it is a disappointment that none of the puzzles are saved when you cancel. The paper magazine is of much more value - you don’t have to return the issues after reading them.

Freezes on iPhone 7. Game freezes on the main screen. This is the 2nd time the only way to fix it is to delete the game and start all over again I can’t even cancel my subscription.

30 day preview THEN it charges. You’re going to be charged $2.99 per month after 30 days. It should have said that up front because I wouldn’t have bothered.

Freezes, can’t tap anything. After a few days use, the app no longer responds on our iPad. The app loads and the music plays but it’s not possible to go anywhere. Only solution has been to delete the app and reinstall, which resets back to the beginning. The problems started an update or two ago. Pretty sad because we’re paying for the subscription and our daughter loves it when it works.

Sound Issues. We have no sound. I’ve tried updates, restarting, and reloading. Nothing has worked.

Impossible to quit subscription. Total scam

Good games Poor Value. My nephew has played through all the games and the new ones only take about 10 minutes a week. Don’t know how much longer I will pay for this.

Subscription issues. Would constantly cut out and not let me access anything other than the one free puzzle a day even thou I paid for the subscription. Very disappointed

After you cancel.... My son liked the app, but it’s upsetting that once you cancel your subscription, you lose access to the entire puzzle collection you built up after months and months of paying for them... You should at least get to keep what you paid for. I’d rather put money towards alllll the other activities my son is interested in rather than pay monthly for more screen time.
