Absolutely Stunning, but QOL?. First off, I want to say that this game is so simple but yet so amazingly beautiful. The subtle shifts in mood, color, brightness, tone, etc. just really adds to the effect of this game. I think it’s nearly perfect, but there are some things I don’t love. When you get the boost after a trick, it’s hard to tell exactly when the invincibility stops, so I end up smashing into rocks that I THINK I can break. Not really a big deal, just a minor inconvenience. Also, coins are hard to get. A 5 minute run nets you around 300 coins if you get lucky. Some of the power ups are 5/10k to get. That’s just for 1, also. Maybe there could be a coin booster power-up? Finally, rocks are insanely hard to tell apart from the underbrush, specifically in the night themes. I can never tell if it’s a rock or a bush or a cactus or anything else. This doesn’t really impact me as much now that I’ve played for a while, but still. I like that sometimes the coins go over it to point it out, but it doesn’t do it all the time. Sorry for the nit-picky comment, but I’m being nit-picky because it’s such a good game, and I really just want to clarify how much I love it. It’s such a great improvement from the first one. Thanks for everything you do, man, and I’m looking forward to more stuff from you.

Truly astonishing. Aright before I even begin this review, I just have to say- amazing job snowman team. I truly did not think it was possible to do what you have done. You guys made a sequel to the original game and I still find the original game completely relevant. At first, I was scared when I started because I saw no option to unlock new characters. But after a few vine jumps, maya was unlocked so I was assured. But from what I’ve experienced so far, you guys have made so many new elements that actually feel really good playing- wall ride, waterfalls, lotus flowers, the compass, and especially the balloons. In altos adventure I have never landed a 4x backflip but on my 3rd run I hit a ballon and easily got the 4x. I’ve even landed 5 now (once you get to 5 the counter resets so yeah) but still- great opportunities for more tricks. And the wall ride- if you have enough speed you go flying which is a PERFECT opportunity for more tricks. Would recommend to anyone. And again- good job team snowman!

Still worth getting!. Hello, I would like to share my story with the game that I believe is a little bit more unique than most other players. As some of you may know, Alto’s Odyssey is the sequel to Alto’s Adventure, which was first published in 2015. I played AA (Alto’s Adventure), and fell in love with it, however I never purchased it or AO (Alto’s Odyssey) until recently. This was because I first played the two on a hacked client which allowed me to play for free. Since it was a hacked client, it meant that my data on the game would be wiped whenever the client had to shift to a new site or whatever they did when they risked being exposed. I played AA and AO over and over and over again but never became bored of either, which made me start to think; “hey, maybe this game is worth buying”. I had never gotten past level 30 on either game because of how often the client had to switch and that frustrated me, to the point where I stopped playing both of them, up until 2022. I decided to buy them on a whim because I had forgotten then remembered AO and had felt quite nostalgic about it. Buying this game and playing for the first time in years was an amazing feeling and I can confidently say I have thoroughly enjoyed every moment, this game is worth the $5 you spend on it, without a doubt. P.S: canyons best biome

Visual problems. It’s hard to see during the day because there’s not enough differentiation between actual obstacles and the background scenery. At night, it’s almost impossible to see Alto. Additionally, the game zooming in and out every time you jump, the bird that follows you right above your head that is the same size as Alto, and the (to my memory) smaller size of Alto just add up to a very visually frustrating experience. It’s just hard to make out what’s happening on screen. I really liked the first game, and wanted to like this too, it’s just hard to focus on the playing when you can’t really see anything. I can’t imagine how visually impaired people could play this. Maybe all this is because I’m playing on a phone, and it’s different on an iPad, I don’t know. I completed Alto 1, and I appreciate the added game elements of the sequel; of course the music is fantastic as usual. I just didn’t find this sequel to be as accessible as the first due to the visual problems laid out above. I eagerly look forward to the next release from this game developer, whether it be another “Alto” installment or something new entirely.

No External Audio Pass-through?. I love this game, but I wish I could listen to Apple Music while playing. Currently the audio in-game is routed through the silent ringer switch, as though the whole soundtrack is an alert, ringtone, etc. So many times I have been listening to music, then load up Alto’s Odyssey just for the music to auto-pause and play the game in silence because I’ve always got my silent ringer switch engaged on my iPhone. Even when I exit silent mode, I can’t play my own music while playing Alto’s Odyssey, and headphones make no difference. This was no problem in Alto’s Adventure, so I’m sure it is fixable. I like the soundtrack to both games, but after logging so many hours of playtime, I wish I could spice up the gameplay with other, user selectable, playlists. If this gets fixed, I’ll delete this review, and write a fresh 5 star one, because I love this game.

A few issues.... I finally saved up enough coin to get the radio, but every time I find one the crates always land behind me. I saved up more coin figured that if I upgraded the signal, they would land in a better location - nope! Now I just have more and better crates behind me that I can’t get. On occasion, I might get lucky and be able to jump and hit one in mid-air. As fast as you can get going with Izel, it seems impossible that the first lemur would have any hope of catching up, yet there he is...sure he falls behind after a few tricks, but if you’re blazing through there, there’s no way the first one, and maybe even the second one, would catch up to Izel. Rocks seem to vex me. If I manage to land a flip perfectly in front of a rock, I trip on it, instead of blasting through it. Never had this issue in Adventure and it seems to happen more and more. Lastly, I’ve never seen a waterfall break at a 90 degree angle before...and instead of coasting right off it to the next feature, it trips you??? Aside from those niggles, I do really like the game. I love the wall riding and wish there was a giant “skate park” of wall rides in addition to the zen mode. Like Adventure, this game is my go to game when I have a few minutes to spare and want something quick and enjoyable.

Absorbing, Beautiful, Simple—and Innocent. First, Altos Odyssey works as a game. If you want to forget your troubles for a while and become absorbed in another world, you will find no better escape then this game. (As with other means of escaping one’s troubles, it does tempt one to over-indulge.) Second, it is simply beautiful: both the artwork and the music are first rate. They would capture your attention outside the context of the game. Third, it is a very well-designed computer application. Glitches are few, the interface is simple and intuitive, and one never feels lost. Finally, unlike many games, it does not invite you into an unhealthy fantasy. You don’t shoot, much less kill, anything. You don’t break anything except rock or two, and if you annoy a lemur, well he seems to enjoy chasing you. So instead of letting you escape into an adolescent dream of power and domination, as many games do, Alto’s Odyssey lets you escape into a dream of ever-increasing skill and the joyful experience of flying ever-more confidently. How lovely! I do have reservations about the wingsuit, which doesn’t work as well as the rest of the game or even make sense within the context of the game, but that is about my only quibble.

Just beautiful, one of the finest games ever. When I first saw gameplay of this I thought it was just a copy, but holy crap was I wrong. Put your headphones on because this game is so amazing and so beautiful both in graphic design and in sound and music. I can not believe how spectacular the music is for this game, especially in zen mode. I can just hit a rock in game, put my phone down, and listen to the soundtrack which is calm and quiet, but moves up and just makes you feel epic. I doubt anyone has even read this far, but the mix of this game’s looks and sounds fully pull you in, and it is one of the most beautiful, relaxing, but somewhat challenging games I have played. I’ve only had it for a day but this is one of the best games I have ever had the privilege to play. So, thank you developers (if you’re reading too).

Buggy. I played a lot of Alto’s odyssey on my iPhone today. Twice it closed on me and once it got stuck in an endless loop switching between two messages after I crashed into a chasm wall. This is a lot more buggy than alto’s adventure but maybe I started playing that game after it had time to be debugged. I don’t know if the directions are exactly correct for the rock grinding because I touch the base of the rock and my character doesn’t move upward in the rock. I think the new feature is interesting but has a higher learning curve. I actually replayed the tutorial again and I’m playing the zen mode to get more practice. It’s actually kind of frustrating but I guess I’ll figure it out eventually. Took me forever to figure out the wingsuit. I like the compass idea so you can go to whatever biome you want (there’s only 3) but I didn’t know it would cost 1000 to use each time so I felt like that was misleading. I would have save my coins for the wingsuit if I had known. I also kind of wish that whatever level you’re at in alto’s adventure would transfer over but I guess it’s okay. It’s kinda annoying to have to work again for the same characters so I’m hoping they’re different. And where are the llamas or at least camels? There are birds of paradise...but they stress me out flying so close, I feel like they’re going to start pecking out my character’s eyes!

nostalgic, so much value. I loved Alto’s Adventure when I was younger. My brother and I used to take turns playing it on my mom’s phone on long car rides, an earbud apiece for us to listen to either the game’s own majestic soundtrack or our own current musical obsessions. This brings me to my only problem with Odyssey: you can’t listen to your own music. I spent hours upon hours playing this game when I first downloaded it, but recently I’ve found myself getting bored with it. I loved the original for its flexibility in that regard, in what you could listen to, and I would listen through Kendrick’s newest album while soaring across a snowy landscape. And I still love this game as well, but my experience would definitely be enlightened if that feature were added.

Is great for the first few hours. I loved this game! I played it constantly after I got it and quickly grinded through 20 levels. I started having problems around level 20. Here and there I would jump over a rock so high and then land right in front of a rock that would be out of frame causing me to wreck. This has happened so many times I don’t know how frustrating it is to get so close to the end of a quest and then something happens you can’t control which brings me into my next problem. I got stuck on the get through all three biomes in one run quest. No problem right? Well after over a hundred try’s I find that some of the biomes don’t show up all the time. There was one run where I went through the same biome three times missing the temple biome. How am I supposed to beat a quest when it won’t even let me travel through them. Maybe I’m just not that good but these problems have actually made me stop playing the game. Sure I’ll get on when I’m really bored but even then I just get fustrated because both the problems just keep happening. I guess I would recommend this game but only if you are looking for a game to play when you’re bored.

A Simple, yet beautiful platformer. I grew up playing Altos Adventure, so when I heard about the development of its sequel, Altos Odyssey, I was counting down the days until it’s release! Like its predecessor, Odyssey is incredibly immersive and absolutely stunning in every way. It’s extremely easy to play, but offers an ever changing landscape and new challenges to always make the game exciting. As an indie game (and a newer one at that), it does have its flaws and bugs. But the developers are constantly improving the performance. Currently, the game shuts of your background audio as you enter the game (although I’ve heard that the developers are working on this issue). With its catchy music that’s never always the same, I’m fine with that. However, if you prefer listening to your own media whilst tapping away, I would instead download the critically acclaimed Altos Adventure, which offers that feature. Overall, the stunning art, cute characters, and enticing challenges, combined with the simple, easy gameplay, makes this amazing app worth every penny. As a long time Alto addict, I can definitely say that you will adore this game.

Version 1.3.0 still has UI bugs. This is one of the best mobile games I have ever played. I have spent endless hours playing it and am in the top 100 in two out of the three Game Center leaderboards. The recent UI bug fixes and improvements have seemed to make the UI worse on my end. The two things I’ve seen since the update are that while playing the trick points number overlaps slightly with the distance number and on the end screen when you have over one million points the last digit is squeezed underneath. These are all the bugs that I have noticed so far but I also recognize that this update has improved some text size including coins over 1,000 in the pause screen! Overall I hope they make some adjustments to fix these problems. Thanks!

Beautiful and Immersive by Design yet Shockingly Simple. What a game! Been playing Alto’s Odyssey for over a year now and have loved every second of it. Very rarely do game devs create that is so visually intricate yet easy to learn and worth coming back to over and over again, yet Snowman has checked all the boxes. It’s a nice game to play on long car rides or flights, as I’ve found it’s a great escape from the real world as you are hooked by the serene soundtrack and stunning scenery. As I’ve played Odyssey I’ve come to appreciate the constantly changing weather patterns and daylight cycles that can even affect how well I perform. Though it’s a 5-star game in my books, one suggestion I have is to remove the character Sumatra entirely or replace her with another character that has his/her own unique attribute. Once you’ve unlocked Sumatra the game becomes very easy, and personally I enjoy the challenges presented with each character (Paz’s extremely slow backflips but great momentum, Maya’s low momentum but swift backflips, etc). In addition to this, the challenges could be altered so some are more specific to certain characters, and thus create incentives to use each of them.

So zen. This game is super fun and relaxing to play. And as you travel across the dunes, canyons and temples a story really starts to unfold. I just love how you can use a sand bord to travel on the canyon walls and the wing sute to safely get across caverns. A also think that the character balances are really good. Paz flips really slow but has a lot of momentum. Maya flips really fast but doesn’t get very much momentum and alto is in the middle. There is also a zen mode that allows you to peacefully travel the desert without risk of of diving. There is just so much fun to be had in this game and so many solid characters. If you like a strong fun, relaxing Quality game this is the place to come. And if you played the first game ALTOS ADVENTURE than I should brobally tell you this game is a huge step up from it

The Best Game on the App Store. Alto’s Odyssey is the perfect game from all standpoints. The music induces a calming atmosphere, and fits in perfectly with the game. I adore it’s simple controls and the added, ‘Zen Mode’. The art design for this game is breathtaking and left me speechless. I can’t imagine putting it down until I complete every level and unlock every character. And on the topic of characters, I love the uniqueness of each character, the differences in rotation speed, momentum, and other abilities, such as Felipe’s (the llama) double-jump. To put it in the simplest terms, this game just makes me happy. And I thank Team Alto and everyone involved in making this game happen. P.S. If you’re making a third Alto game, two ideas I have for the name of it could be, ‘Alto’s Quest’ or ‘Alto’s Journey’.

One of the best series I’ve ever played. This game is so beautiful and fun. You can create seemingly endless combos and there’s quite a lot of creativity when it comes to them. The music paired with the simple yet breathtaking graphics makes the game unforgettable. I’ve completed this whole game making it to level 61. The only complaint I might have is that once you get to the final level, there are no more challenges and you only play to have fun. Also coins don’t matter that much after you’ve unlocked everything unless you want to buy stuff to let you continue your run in which case you can just play zen mode instead unless you want to beat your high score

Fantastic Game!. It is rare that I have ever beat a game and enjoyed the thrill of the chase. I played the original Alto’s Adventure for the last couple years as a way to relax by skiing and mastering the moves and obstacles. Even after I beat AA I continued to play it because there were many ways to get better and more efficient at earning points, and it was still fun to play. That brings me to Alto’s Odyssey - my extensive mastering of AA made this game easier to play, but it also has its challenges, and just as much fun to play. A refreshing take when compared with the original. I have an idea and title for the next game in the series! Thanks for a great playing experience. I will continue to play and try to master the obstacles in this game too!

Good but some issues. A decent game that’s good for passing the time, however I’ve lately had issues with a few things. For one if there’s a certain challenge that needs to be completed then you better hope the ability to do it shows up early or you’re in the right biome otherwise you have to wait a while to get there, also the wingsuit “box” you tap to activate it is way to big. I shouldn’t have to try and find a spot that won’t activate it on the right. I’ll be in the middle of a flip and it’ll just switch to it even though I did t ask for it. It should stay where it shows up and no where else. I can’t get pass a level because of this which brings me back to my first point. I’ve hit five wall rides in one combo and it still doesn’t update it. Hope the developers sees this and makes a patch

Another lovely Alto game!. I’m not much of a mobile gamer, but I played Alto’s Adventure quite heavily and eventually completed all of the levels. I’m enjoying Alto’s Odyssey to a similar extent and am happy for the minor improvements that have been made, especially wall riding! Despite giving this five stars, I do have two gripes: 1. The game usually runs very well, but it sometimes stutters when I am experiencing poor network activity. In fact, it happens in the same location on my train ride into work every day where there is a bit of a cellular dead zone. Alto’s Adventure has the same issue. I’m not sure if this is an OS-level issue or something the developer can address, but it does make the game far less enjoyable when it happens. 2. The game’s design is such that you often have to choose between collecting coins and doing tricks. Given that doing tricks is the only interesting part of the game, this is a problem! I would love to see the levels or mechanics reworked such that you get coins for scoring points too, not just by collecting them in the level. I think this would help balance characters like Maya that move slowly (and thus encounter fewer coins) and naturally want to spend most of their time in the air (and thus fly right over pots and coins half the time).

Great but.... Generally it’s a great game. Plays smoothly, controls work nicely and whatnot scenery is great. It would be nice if I could select if I want time to change. Sometimes I just want to play in day time. I’ve been playing off and on for a few weeks and I’ve got a few gripes. First and most annoying is the lemur. It’s seems that unless I’m doing a crazy amount of stunts he attacks. I’ve even been attacked in a backflip. I also purchased the full signal thingy. The barrels almost always drop at a time where they get missed. They literally always land behind the character. Then my only other grip is with how the challenges work. I think it would be nicer if you got new challenges as you completed each and not have to complete the triad before progress. I’ve been stuck on the darn double backflip bird of paradise for a week now. I’ve never gotten two birds together so I’m baffled as to how to complete that quest.

A few frustrating things hold this sequel back. This is a solid follow up to Adventure. I really enjoy the new tricks that wall riding and humoing allow for and the three biomes make a nice variety in scenery. The lotus is a poweruo far more usedul than the shield and fearlther feom Adventure as it protects from all crashes and doesn’t float you above valuables. But there’s one frustrating new collectible that was fantastic the first time I got it: the radio. Once collected, goody barrels fall from the sky. The problem is they take too long to fall, 9/10 I go right under them. The times it looks like I’ll line up I end upnon a rope or vine and veind over them. The occasional well places ramp may allow me to collect one wvwry now and then, but when there are four barrels falling this seems a pittance. If this could be tweaked to allow the barrels to fall faster or be placed further down the track, it would make for a beyyer reward. Right now this isbthe float abilty form Adventure: don’t care to collect amd won’t waste nore voins upgrading it.

Overall beautiful game but I found a glitch.... This game is amazing and the music complements the animated simplistic landscape, when I had to survive a sandstorm, I didn’t even have to play. I wanted to take a screenshot of the starting position so I waited until everything faded away, what I mean by that is wait till the title goes away and it’s just the landscape, after I took the screenshot I tapped back on the game bringing back the title, the problem is bringing the title back must have triggered something because on the bottom it said I just survived a sandstorm, I was looking forward to doing so and getting the satisfaction from unlocking it, but I could not due to all this, please fix this and any other bug you find.

Alto’s Back. It’s finally here! I have been a huge fan of the original, and I was thrilled to see this sequel finally appear this morning! The gameplay is very familiar, but there are just enough changes and new features to make it fresh. Beautiful artwork, an impressive soundtrack, and overall phenomenal app design make this one of the best game series of all time. The only thing I wish would change. Please allow us to advance to the next level during a run! For example, I had one of my best runs the other day. It literally lasted for 20 minutes, but it was all for nothing (except the coins) because I had completed the final objective of the level within the first half of my run. It would have been really nice if I could have worked on the next level. Other than that, this app is amazing.

Played the older game, love the new.. I loved this game when I played the Original Altos Adventure years ago. I decided that I should treat myself and buy the new one which I had just seen. You will not be disappointed if you buy this game. Although some rocks are hard to see at night, the music, visuals, and the gameplay make up for all the little mistakes you may find. This game is worth playing for hours on end and I suggest getting it. Zen mode is one of my favorite things to do when I want to play without worrying about my score, and I just want to play and listen. This game is worth the money and if you hate it, you can leave a bad review. It will get lost in the good reviews. I love this app with all my heart and only good things come to mind whoever I think about it. Definitely worth it.

I absolutely love this game. HOWEVER; the previous game was perfect. I rewarded you for being skilled enough to combo tricks and flips together. This game seemingly punishes me over and over for being creative with my combos. I will land a huge combo and my scarf will be so long the it’s off the screen, and I will fall into a hole without any chance of saving myself. Literally I will approach a death hole and a balloon is supposed to rise up to bounce me over but it’s like 2 seconds. It’s just super upsetting and discouraging to die to a game mechanic that you can’t do anything about until later in the game. The balloons and tornados are super inconsistent. The lemurs are ridiculously unrealistic (somehow they run 40+ mph). I actually lose a lot of speed if I don’t flip while going DOWN a mountain. Most of all the power ups scattered around are impossible to pickup. Overall my biggest complaint is that there should be a game mechanic that boosts you over the death holes.

One Of The Best Games Of All Time, Period. Personally this is one of my favorite games ever. The graphics/art are phenomenal and they seem to have thought of everything. My phone is not even a newer model and this app never glitches even a little bit. Along with this, it has no adds and only costs a bit of money. The controls are simple and easy, and the simplicity of the tricks and upgrades are amazing. When I just want to play the app, zen mode is easily accessible. I also enjoy how the app has I slight touch of story with all the character descriptions and how there are objectives and multiple characters. Overall an insanely good yet simple and clean game considering all of the factors and how it is not even super expensive. Could not express my thanks for this truly clean and well made game, compared to all the others out there, especially the simple and super well made art style.

would be a perfect game if it ran well. Alto’s Adventure is my favorite mobile game of all time, and basically a perfect game in my opinion. Alto’s Odyssey should be an even better game, as it’s essentially just an improved version of the last game. However, there’s a serious problem with this game that I noticed immediately, and it makes me not enjoy playing it at all. While Alto’s Adventure ran perfectly on my iPhone 6s, making it a wonderful, zen-like experience, Alto’s Odyssey does not run well on my phone at all. It hitches constantly, and can’t achieve anything close to a smooth framerate. There’s nothing satisfying about playing the game in this state, which is a shame since it should be just as satisfying as playing Alto’s Adventure is. Needless to say I’m very disappointed by this, and until the game is optimized better or has an optional lower-graphics setting that runs better, I’m probably not going to open the game again. I understand that the creators wanted to improve the graphics for this new game, and that my phone is not the newest model so maybe I shouldn’t expect it to run perfectly. But the game is advertised as being compatible for phones as far back as the iPhone 5s, and my model is just 2 years old, so I should have been able to safely assume that it would run well on my phone. I kind of feel like I wasted my money here, but I’m still rating it 3 stars for now because I’m pretty sure this will be a perfect game if (hopefully when) it is better optimized.

Best Game on the App Store. After playing Alto’s Adventure for the first time, I was hooked. Its stunning graphics mixed with simple gameplay and amazing soundtrack made for a fun and relaxing way to pass the time. When I saw they were coming out with this newer and bigger version, I just couldn’t wait to get it. When February 22nd rolled around, I got home and immediately bought Alto’s Odyssey. When I opened the game up on my phone, I was almost shaking with excitement. When I started playing it, I immediately fell in love with its amazing features. The graphics take my breath away and the soundtrack makes me shiver. Zen mode is the ultimate way to relieve stress, and the simple gameplay makes for an amazing getaway into a perfect world where you can just ride down an endless sand mountain and forget about your problems. It’s definitely worth the five dollars. Believe me, you won’t regret it.

Photo mode feature request. Before I get into it, I wanted to start off by saying that I never thought that there could be anything better than Alto’s Adventure, but here we are, 3 years later with the most beautiful mobile game I have ever laid my eyes on. My artist heart soars at every gradual change of scenery and color scheme. I am so grateful for the photo mode and after just a few days of having this absolute masterpiece of a game, I already have a huge pile of beautiful yet diverse photos. I just have one simple request for photo mode: PLEASE let there be an option to toggle/remove effects and items from the photo. The glowing coins, magnets, lotuses, and their corresponding effects are almost always distracting in the photo, which is incredibly frustrating. An option to toggle/remove Alto and birds of paradise would be ideal too, for this same reason. That’s the only thing I would change about this game, but I think it’s very important. Please, please make it happen in a future update! <3

Brings back memories.... This game is by far the very best paid infinite run game I’ve ever played, definitely worth the money on this one, there are no problems that I’ve run into thus far, and I just feel so nostalgic when playing this game, it reminds me of living with my mom and how I would play this during the nights me and my siblings were home alone while she (my mom) was working. This might be kinda sappy, but this game makes me feel strangely comforted whilst the world burns outside our window and also because I can’t live with my mom at the moment because of split parent issues, and I miss her very, very much, but knowing I have a piece of her with me on an everyday item of mine is the best I could wish for. But anyway, I just overall feel relaxed and happy with the look, feel, and sound of the entire game. Also, if you feel like you have problems with this game on your phone, then as long as an iPad is signed into your iCloud account (or something else, maybe iTunes) you can download it for free on that iPad. Trust me I bet it’ll be a way greater experience. And for the developer(s) of this game, props to you! Great work 🙂👍

Phenomenal. This game is absolutely stunning, visually and in terms of gameplay. It took me a little bit to warm up to the game before I completely fell in love with it and it's beauty; just like when I was visiting actual deserts in New Mexico. The weather and day and night cycles are gorgeous, the stars and moon in the background are so beautiful and I appreciate the blue and red shifted stars which add just another touch to the game. The sandstorms are so fun and the lightning strikes are so pretty, and don't even get me started on the sunsets. As for the gameplay; I was worried that it would just be a repeat of Altos Adventure, but its so much more- I have so much fun jumping off a wall and bouncing onto a balloon all the while doing like seven back flips (past quadruple or quintuple is just says bback flip). All around this is a great game, easily a favourite which will keep its place on my phone. I was worried it wouldn't be worth the 4.99, (but coming from someone who is stingy with money) thrust me it is worth it. P.S. I miss the Llamas they are such good boys ♡

another masterpeice by snowman!. i loved altos adventure, so when altos oddesy came out i was estatic, i love playing it! Having 3 different biomes and new features like wall riding and water skimming, makes it (dare i say) even more exicting then altos adventure. With all the detail and amazing graphics, and its exicting yet relaxing nature It is truly worth the price and i definatly recomend purchasing it. However i cant seem to skip challenges,i cant understand why i cant skip challenges something you could do in altos adventure, also i used to watch ads to get 500 coins but i guess since i downloaded altos adventure on my tablet for free i could do that since there were ads, anyway its great game, and im really enjoying it, definitely deserves 5 stars!

Alto is back!. *UPDATE* To the developers, during gameplay when my scarf is at max length and the option to fly is available - the game automatically selects the flying option mid-backflip. This has caused me to die. Not only that but it’s annoying af. I looked in the options but it doesn’t look like anything I’ve selected. It only happens when the level of flight is full and I’m attempting a backflip. Fix this crap!! As a YUGE fan of the original Alto game, I was ecstatic to see a sequel. If you can’t tell from the overwhelming amount of positive reviews that this game is a winner, then what I’m going to say isn’t going to make any difference to you. This game is beautiful, exciting and challenging. It’s fun and most of all it’s full of fricken backflips! Who doesn’t love doing backflips? Get it.

Great game, a little room for improvement. Kudos for capturing the breathtaking excitement of snow/sand-boarding. Gorgeous visuals, addictive non repetitive gameplay. After two-ish months of dedicated (obsessive) playing, I finally finished. Top combo: 109,480 (multiplier 34). Some of the challenges are extremely frustrating, borderline sadistic. And for what? A mere congratulations. I still like to play this game, but there are no more challenges — why not build in a prize for finishing: the ability to script one’s own challenges. Like, one could set the app to keep track of the distance that you “hovercraft” in the wingsuit or count rock bounces, or bounces in a row, whatever. Finally, a few times I’ve crashed through the ground. Most of the time this happens while wingsuiting and leads to a crash (both literally and figuratively), but once I crashed through the ground and kept wingsuiting, i.e., the ground was moving above me. I wish I had explored this mystery underground more, but I ended up heading back up to the surface. Fun game.

Phenomenal Experience. This game is a phenomenal dive into a captivating world. The new additions and improvements not only stay true to the original, but also build on them to keep you hooked. From the graphics to the incredible new soundtrack, it’s a truly phenomenal upgrade. However, my only gripe lies within the description of the characters in the game. Every character has a positive description including a more positive spin on their weaknesses except for the one woman boarder in the game, Maya. Hers is the only with a negative characteristic and she also happens to be the only woman player in the game BUT she is such an incredible option and arguably one of the best in the game. I’m not claiming sexism, or calling the developers misogynistic, just simply pointing out that whether intentional or not, only the one woman character has a trait that is explicitly presented as a negative with no redeeming qualities. Would be awesome if you fixed on the next update. Keep up the great work, team! Incredible games!

Still the most Beautiful game on iPhone. I can’t begin to say how much I enjoy this game. I still have the first one on my phone. This second rendition is just as beautiful and runs just as well. I can’t wait for more to come. Adding slightly different areas was great. Do wish there was a little more. Cause I’m the beginning there was a strive to see just what you might discover next unfortunately I think I have discovered everything now. Though I can understand somewhat the limits. This isn’t Minecraft with biomes that mix oddly together.l, but I’m sure they will find some way of making it work. Wish there was more beautiful looking games like this. A simple, but impactful design. Don’t need all those crappy HD 3D graphics we normally see every where. This games just parr’s so Nicely with the iPhone.

Good and bad. Some parts of this sequel are good. The familiar smooth sliding and jumping, etc.... but I really, really, can’t stand the stupid wall jumps. Not only do they require really precise timing as to when you start to engage with them, and if you’re in the middle of a jump there’s no hope... they also at times require you to have enough speed to traverse a gap and there was no way of knowing ahead of time that the gap was even coming where you’d need to do some jumps to speed up, then it mocks you by telling you that you are supposed to jump to get more speed. The wall jumping is horrible. It’s tricky to engage with, it’s too critical, it’s too easy to fail and completely trash your entire run, totally unforgiving bad addition for the sake of trying to add something new. Mixed feelings about this edition, loved the first one, can’t say I love this.

Not For the Hearing Impired. Update: Upgraded to 2 stars. After some troubleshooting I figured out the game will freeze if Bluetooth is enabled. I suffer from hearing loss in one ear and wear a hearing aid that link to my phone. The oversight of the game working with Bluetooth is pretty disappointing considering you also can’t use Bluetooth headphones. Definitely not happy I paid $7 for the game for this to be an issue. Free games figured it out, and the previous Alto game works fine with Bluetooth. Hopefully this gets fixed. That said, the game once it works is beautiful. It is harder to backflip. The rotation seems slower than the previous game and pulling off a double is near impossible at times. Hopefully the next update sixes these issues. Would definitely give it more stars if these issues are addressed. The game is completely unplayable. I’m lucky to get to the coins in the tutorial (roughly 6 seconds in). I’ve reset my phone, reinstalled and no luck. Disappointing and aggravating considering I paid for the game and it doesn’t work.

Improves on the first!. People who are familiar with Alto’s Adventure will be comfortable in this new land. The controls and tricks are the same, as are Alto and Maya. (The rest? Don’t know, I’m not that far yet.) The artistry is similar in style but more nuanced, and obviously made for the desert. There are many more opportunities for tricks, including large balloons you can bounce off of. (I got a quintuple back flip with Alto.) There are myriad improvements. The game provides advice or comfort when you fall/hit a rock/etc. The feather that lets you float is replaced by the much more useful lotus flower, which allows you to keep your speed and pound through rocks. The landscape also changes to different biomes within the desert. I’ve seen three, and they are all stunning. The rotation of the stars at night is an excellent addition. I was so happy to learn elders were no longer a concern in the game. I was horrified to learn they were replaced with something so much worse. One point of constructive criticism: I’d add a bit more information for wall surfing. It’s not very intuitive, but it’s very necessary to get height to get across chasms. Overall, I’d say if you like the first, you’ll love the second. Happy sandboarding!

10/10. This game never ceases to amaze me from all the crazy gameplay mechanics and art styles. The game all around feels like a perfect sequel to the amazing alto adventure but things have changed. No more do you chase after llamas but instead find yourself on this dessert. The track is never the same two times down. They have kept the classics in the shop like the save me and cask rescue but also added new items and secrets to unlock along the journey. With this game coming out a day early for the people that have pre ordered, I feel that the developers care for their customers and do not wish to make a quick cash grab game. Altogether thank you for making this wonderful game and thank you to all the people who help make it continue to flourish.

I don’t really write reviews cuz I’m lazy. But this game deserves one. First of all: Alto’s Adventure was a great game. I remembered downloading it when I was younger and having an awesome experience playing it. It was free when I was younger (I think) but I had no problem supporting the devs considering I had such fond memories. The game lived up to and exceeded my expectations. I didn’t think that a second game was needed, but I’m glad we got one. I finally got around to purchasing this game and it takes everything about the previous game and builds upon it. The graphics are phenomenal and the backgrounds are stunning and the soundtrack is just... out of this world amazing. Like I said I don’t normally take the time to write reviews, but this game deserves one. Awesome game

Great simple game. I really enjoyed this title and completed all the goals. It really strikes a wonderful balance between relaxing, entertaining, and easy to pick-up which is what you want in a mobile game. The game has a great arc though I found it plateaued a bit after discovering all three biomes. It would have been more exciting if there were more biomes and kept the sense of adventure going. Only complaint is that the game can be difficult to see without your phone brightness way up - especially when it is “night” in the game or a sandstorm. The changing weather and time in the game are really beautiful, but i would have liked an “always day mode” that keeps it at noon and sunny in the game so that it is easy to see even if phone brightness is low.

Perfect Sequel. I had no idea this game came out until I was looking for a game that was similar to the original. Altos Adventure was one of the most beautiful and serene games that I’ve ever played and after beating that one, I was looking for something similar and luckily for me, Altos Odyssey came out. Odyssey is good because it drops certain parts of the last game that it could do without (namely the llamas), and builds upon the best parts of the game (power ups, wingsuit, biomes, etc). As the description suggests, the game is extremely easy to play, but difficult to master, as in the higher levels you almost need to assume what is ahead of you to complete certain challenges. You pay one price and its yours for life, which I would gladly pay again without hesitation. The only improvement in the game would be the new “Mysterious Radio” power-up. Every time I get the radio, my character is moving too fast for me to pick them up, and by the time they get on my screen, I’ve already passed them. Maybe tweaking the drop speed to character speed would remedy this issue. Otherwise the game is literally perfect, mechanically and visually.

Alto’s Odyssey. I have played the first one back on 2015. I love the graphics that it plays very smoothly in my device. It took me 2 years to complete all achievements when I got a news that this game is having a part 2. Although, there’s no need to play the first one because there’s no story. You make the story with your imagination. Characters are very unique and you have to use them at your advantage to complete challenges along the way. Friendly advice, upgrade your magnet to be able to use it longer to rack up those coins. Since this game doesn’t have an in app purchase which makes me happy because this will make the game much more enjoyable and a good way to kill time. Whether you’re traveling from one point to another, waiting for appointments, taking a dump, you name it. The team creating this game may have pushed the actual release date but I really don’t mind. It just shows that they’re putting a lot if effort in this just to make it worth your while in purchasing this game. I assure you, this game is fun. That’s why I’m giving this a 5-star review. Good job!

Alto’s Odyssey is as unique as a Blue diamond. TLDR: Odyssey is a game with no ads, that doesn’t need Wi-Fi, and is very fun. Backstory: The game is a little old, and I played it in ~2018. I just saw it as a game where you ride sand dunes. I abandoned it as it didn’t seem the best. I was looking through my apps for a good game ~1 week ago. I saw Odyssey and thought, “what’s this?” I started it up, recognised it, and thought, “oh it’s this.” I had a few runs and really liked it. I then hadn’t noticed 30 minutes go by. Review: I noticed that I hadn’t watched a single ad or had been asked to watch a single ad, From then on, whenever I waited in a queue or had free time, I played the game. I’m currently trying to get the wing suit and I’m on level 20. The goals are really creative and there is a lot of content. I’m most definitely addicted to this. There is one advertisement, which is completely unnecessary for anything, which is for Alto’s Adventure. There is another mode which is zen mode. In zen, there are no obstacles, score, and you can endlessly surf the desert. I would most definitely recommend this game as it a one-of-a-kind. If you get this game, try to beat my high score, 49,345.

YES, YES & YES!. I have been waiting impatiently for this sequel ever since I heard it was actually happening. The change of scenery is a plus... even has biomes within the change of backdrop! Some would say it’s more of the same, but in this case, it’s a plus in my book. If the formula works why change it? It’s the little things that count. The minute details they added honestly adds to the overall atmosphere of the game. From the different lighting, to the shooting stars, to the ripple they added to the sun to show heat rising.... heck, even the hot air balloons deform when you bounce off of them. Don’t even get me started on the wall ride! It’s a gift from above lol. Best $4.99 I’ve ever spent. Keep up the good work! 👍🏼👍🏼

A Necessary Review. Now, I am not one to write many reviews unless a game is terrible or I like but would enjoy a change... but this game has to be one of if not my favorite. Not only are the aesthetics gorgeous and run smoothly it feels relaxing and beautiful. I played Alto’s Adventure on my other device but never found it necessary to buy this one, until I got a new phone and wanted to rebuy anyway so I chose this game. At first I was only disappointed because I quite enjoyed the snow, but trust me I didn’t miss it for long. After you make it past a certain point to a certain speed the game immersed you, the music starting to race with your character moving faster and the colors of the ever-changing scenery. Just an amazing game overall.. along with the zen mode for when I feel less competitive. If you can up this in another game I’d be blown away.

A beautiful, meditative escape. I downloaded this game one day at work needing some form of release during downtime at lunch or just stepping away from my workspace. I had heard of Alto’s Adventure - seen it appear on virtually every “must-own iOS game” lost that’s been published since it was released. When I saw this in the App Store, I read a couple of reviews from other sites and bought it on a whim. It’s been exactly what I’ve needed from a game. It’s simple, immediately transporting, and precisely as challenging as it ought to be. It is the only game with a Zen mode that I’ve ever consistently played the Zen mode on. The artwork is excellent and the sound design satisfying. The soundtrack demands headphones. The gameplay is simple but not easy. The main mode of the game offers structure and challenge that is engaging rather than trite. The replayability far surpasses almost every mobile game I’ve ever downloaded. I recommend this game to anyone who: 1. Wants to play an excellent game; 2. Needs a brief but absorbing respite from daily anxiety; or, 3. Wishes to to appreciate a masterclass in function and design for any sort of phone app.

A beautiful game, with a couple of minor glitches. I a really loving the new Odyssey. I know it will get to be infuriatingly hard soon, but so far it is just a great game. The graphics are beautiful, the music is very soothing and the game play is amazing. Well done on this sequel to your first amazing game. I have noticed a couple of minor issues with the original release. On my iPad Air 2 running iOS 11.2.6 the video stutters occasionally. Not enough to be a problem but it is noticeable. And occasionally when there is background noise the sound cuts out briefly. Not sure if there is a problem with the sound loop but it is also noticeable. I also found that when making a jump across a wide chasm where you have to hold down to backflip to make it across the sound becomes muffled. Other than these minor things that I am sure will be worked out in the coming updates this is another great game and well worth the cost. I am sure I will continue to play this the same way that I still play Journey.

This game got me through hospital. This game with its fun gameplay, zen like sounds and music got me through a rough hospital time. I had surgery for the first time at 26. The hospital was loud, everything was scary and unfamiliar; except for this game. I played it for hours; with my earphones in, this game kept me going and happy, even throughout pain and loneliness. It’s fun, somehow immersive and failing seems like a supportive nudge to try again. Thanks guys.

Beautiful but boring. I bought this game for my kids but none of them want to play it. I would have given it one star but the scenery is well done. Waste of money for me.

great game but. Amazing game but i want to be able to listen to music while I play but it turns it off

Most beautiful game series. This game series is my families favourite, and we love playing it on the Apple TV. But.... what I find annoying is you DONT get storms at midnight, you never SEE midnight because I usually get a sandstorm, and I would love to pass a full oasis. This game is amazing, but my favourite part, that seems to have the most problems for me, is the natural elements. It would be nice if they where completely random like rain at sunset instead of day. It would also be great if we could control how close we wanted to be to our character even when not taking pictures. That would be amazing! Please come out with a third if possible, maybe surfing? 😉😉😉 or if you create a different type of game, please add such beautiful and calming graphics and music. P.s. I didn’t like the music as much as the first one, but it would be great if they’re where a few more natural sounds, and a setting that if you don’t want music you can choose to have a larger abundance of natural sounds 😉

Best app ever!!!!. It is so good! There’s a zen mode, no adds, you don’t have to pay for special items, and I haven’t even come across any glitches!!🥰😍🥰😍 There’s a beautiful background, and it is loads of fun! The Zen mode is very calming, and if you fall on zen mode then All you have to do is tap the screen and your back up again! You can play with your friends or you can just play solo! Bye!

Beautiful. Altos odyssey is just beautiful the graphics are spectacular and gameplay is fun! The sound track suits the theme of the game and the little detail like thunder and lightning is so elegantly made! Worth $8 amazing.

Fun but performance suffers. Have noticed performance issues with stutters and pauses, also graphics get choppy at times. Not restricted to one device, happens on my iPhone 11 and iPad Air. Other than that one of my favourite phone games.

Too dark at night!!!. A beautiful game just like the first one...BUT! During night scene, it’s extremely difficult to see what’s in front of you, and the night scene is extremely long (>60% of the time). You can make the game as challenging as you like, I wouldn’t mind. But could you at least make it visible? My eyes ate so sore during the night and this makes it very difficult to enjoy the game. Please consider changing it to shorter time or make them brighter, then I will definitely change the score back to 5 star.

It’s my favourite game but only with day graphics.. Honestly if you’re over 25 (I’m 36) and anything like me, you’ll only enjoy the game when the graphics are daytime. The rest of the time it’s a tiny black silhouette on a dark coloured background and you’ll get a headache trying to see what you’re doing. If there was a ‘day mode’ in settings, so I could always see properly, that would be great but what a shame to miss out on the beautiful night graphics... add a coloured-character mode? Aaarg so frustrating

Great to just chill. An amazing game, which is great to chill to and simply fun. One hopeful future development, would be to have forward and backward flips. I have Adventure and Odyssey, and play both regularly.

Great game but could be better.. I think this is an excellent game but you please make it so you have to catch camels like in altos adventure where you catch llamas. You should also have some kind of elder. Would recommend this game though.

Gorgeous, but jittery. I love this game; it's beautiful to look at and it's easy to lose time playing. Unfortunately, the game becomes very jittery when the battery drops below about 40%, which makes landing jumps quite difficult. As others have said, it's also very dark; you need to play this game with the brightness on full and ref shift off (so, drain the battery faster…).

Worth every cent. This game is impossibly gorgeous and the music is top-notch. Watching the sun rise and set as you surf along the sand dunes is distractingly beautiful. It’s one of the few games where you actually enjoy crashing, because you get to see the scenery all over again. Seriously, get this game.

Therapeutic and hypnotic. A worthy sequel to the first, hours spent playing this, great value casual gaming with zero interruptions. One of the few games that has held my attention and kept me coming back for more. Almost like meditation once you’re in the zone and going with the flow. I’d like to see more unique combos added to the repertoire, and please add more biomes; dense jungles, deep canyons, waterfall backdrops, grassy plains, even fluffy cloudscapes high in the sky would add extra variety.

Beautiful.. I loved the first game and this new instalment is even better. The music, the art direction, everything about this game is stunning. The team on this have done a phenomenal job. Well done!

Beautiful game. Difficult for me as a left handed.. Please add an option to put the buttons on the right hand side. I’m left handed and I keep on accidentally pausing the game and activating the wingsuit! Very annoying. Otherwise, beautiful game. Thanks.

Nice, but dark is too dark. I loved Alto’s Adventure, and this seems so far to be more of the same. Like one other reviewer said, if you can unlock other characters it isn’t as obvious as with Adventure, which is a shame. A couple of issues with it so far is that when it is dark it is REALLY dark, and it’s actually quite uncomfortable to look at and try to make out details like rocks. Similarly when you jump/bounds behind balloons you lose track of your orientation.

Wishing there were still llamas in the game 😪. This game is AMAZING! I love all the different settings and colours, but I still wish it had llamas or a different animal for you to catch like Alto’s Adventure. But all in all, I rate this game a 9/10! Keep up the great work 👍🏻

Simply stunning!. Odyssey is as breathtaking as it is riveting to play. The game brings fantastic dessert-themed music and sound design, with jaw-dropping visuals, marrying wonderfully in with the addition of new biomes and obstacles. These introductions novelly change the way you play from the game’s predecessor, with new tricks and combinations made possible, all while maintaining the same core mechanics and feel.

Probably the best game. This game is completely worth the money and I highly recommend it. The music is stunning and if you like alto’s adventure then you’ll love this game even more. The way it makes you feel that you’re on an adventure is incredible and, again, i highly recommend it.

It’s good, but not without flaws. Alto’s Odyssey is beautiful, is accompanied by a fantastic soundtrack, but much like Alto’s Adventures has elements of game design that just shouldn’t exist in a game. Procedurally generated environments make for great variation and near unlimited gameplay, but it comes with a downside. Achieving a goal or any particular accomplishment becomes considerably more difficult, frustratingly so if the roll of the dice doesn’t go your way. Unfortunately the developers have tied this metric to progression so what starts out as an annoyance becomes an artificial wall. Your skills as a player cannot help you, the developers have quite simply tied progression to luck. I do like this game and I want to love it but the glaring, frustration inducing gameplay issue described above has pushed me to a point where I no longer want to play. I’m being overly generous in giving the game 3/5 but also feel that I would be punishing those who put the best elements in the game far too severely by rating it any lower. Ultimately a disappointment. Edit 8/12 lowered rating to 2/5 due to game breaking crash at 35k meters. Edit to my 8/12 edit 8/5/19: the game breaking crash at 35k meters has been fixed but the 2/5 rating will stand. I’ve been stuck on the same level since I wrote my review due to the condition required to progress not having occurred in 6 months playing the game 2-3 times a week.

Twice as good as the original. At first I was skeptical that there would be much difference from the first game so I thought: what’s the point? But after playing, there are some really nice advancements that add more pace and dynamics, as well as ambiance. The night mode is criticised but I like it as it adds more challenge.

Beautiful but the tutorial is Buggy. On the tutorial I can't hold a tuck long enough to pass the required skill over a single rotation. Finally “Ending Tutorial” menu option got me out of that little weird hell. Now looking forward to beautiful new challenges. Thank you for a new version.

Progression isn’t link to skill as opportunity to complete goals aren’t present. While this game looks beautiful it is beyond frustrating that I’ve been stuck at the same level for so long simply because the task required hasn’t presented in game. Wall to grind three times in a single run. Even with a helmet and smashing longest runs consistently at most that opportunity has presented twice in a really really long run. At least introduce a way to use coins to pay to get pass a goal. It is boring when there is no progression and honestly I’d request a refund if the time hadn’t lapsed.

The perfect game. I have been searching so long for a game like this. A game where you can just play. No score, no upgrades, no limitations and most importantly, no losing. A game where you can play for as long as you like. No restarting over and over and no frustration over not being able to beat a certain level. This game is exactly that. It is everything I have ever wanted from a game. There are no levels and there is no goal, you just play. Not only that, but also the incredible graphics that come along with it. It’s just the simple, stunning graphics that really makes the game what it is. Combined with an incredible soundtrack, there really is nothing more I could want from this. This is the perfect game.

Beautiful!!. First of all... what a game! Love it! Cant stop playing it and I hope you ll bring more areas to diversify the experience over time! Side note: I dunno how people play but I use my left thumb to trigger tricks (and to be able to watch the beautiful landscape!) but the wingsuit trigger is literally placed right there... That has the effect of triggering the wingsuit when I don’t want to use it and it is really really annoying. What about: - you can disable completely the wingsuit if you want - you move the wingsuit trigger to the right of the screen. I honestly love doing backflips and don’t want the wingsuit all the time.

Good game. Very cool game, enjoy it thoroughly along with Alto’s Adventure. There is a glitch where if there is multiple ruins on top of each other, and you are currently grinding on one which has a ramp on it which then takes you to a ruin grind above, it doesn’t actually count as you grinding on that new ruin.

Let’s just do what we’re told. Not sure what the fuss is. Yes god graphics, yes calming music. But, that’s about it. Game play is repetitive and uninteresting. You have to start right from the beginning after every run which is frustrating. Just because App Store says to buy this doesn’t mean you should. Lesson learnt.

Stunning. The only way to describe this game is just beautiful. Not only is it fun to play but the music and the visuals are so gorgeous and relaxing. I love it.

My Review. Okay, this is the greatest game ever (Apart from The Legend of ZELDA:The Breath Of The Wild). The next game should be called ALTO’s Journey and then ALTO’s Destiny which would be AMAZING and then ALTO’s R.P.G. The game has lasted some long so I rate it about “I can’t count the number because it is out of my reach Stars” LOVE THE GAME BUY IT FOR KIDS MUMS AND DADS Well kids and parents, have fun

It’s like a 2D version of Journey. Great soundtrack and love the Zen mode. Like how it reminds me of Journey. Only flaw is that it rains too much for a desert.

A beauiful game. A fantastic game, easy to play but hard to master. The graphics are superb and the music matches the content perfectly. Well worth the price.

One obvious BUG on Apple TV version. You won't see the scarf grow longer in the TV version, but a flashing scarf image during game play... it's annoying, please fix...

Bug?. Since I updated, the wingsuit automatically turns on and off, making me crash. When I am back flipping it will come on unexpectedly, or if I turn it on, it will turn itself off. Is anyone else having this problem?

A fantastic work of art!. This game is one of the best iOS games. It has an amazing art style combined with an incredibly relaxing soundtrack. The game begins feeling a bit simplistic but eventually you will be chaining together wall grinds, backflips and glider trick combos. It all just feels so fluid and smooth. Overall a fantastic must have iOS game and the best part in there are NO in app purchases. Just pay once and the whole game is yours. Just like it should be.

alto fan :). Absolutely love this game, Zen Mode really helped with my mental health to just relax and enjoy the gorgeous scenery without the stress of a score or game over. The soundtrack is amazing as well. Definitely worth the $. :)

Absolutely Gorgeous. This game is stunning and worth the money and the wait. I didn’t think any game could be more beautiful than the first, Alto’s Adventure, but I guess I’ve been proven wrong. The hot-air-balloons are a very cute idea and I love the first scene to when you open the app. And the tornados are very cool! The music is elegant and exciting whilst still calming. The main story is also exciting and daring yet then you have the Zen Mode, relaxing and a true healer to stress. And you know what? I’m extremely impressed with how the developers made beautiful graphics and still just as amazing gameplay, unlike Monument Valley another stunning game. Some other people who play his game are unhappy with with nighttime, but I think it is a perfect lighting to be honest, and a clever idea. But I do have one idea. In the last game, the main focus was to save Alto’s Llamas. Well, as you are still using the llama in your title in the A I suggest you could maybe, since the llama and camel have extremely similar features, add in camels for Alto. I think that’d be a great idea. As you can tell though, I still absolutely adore this game and the love graphics. Thank-you Developers for creating such a great creative game. I rate this a 10/5 stars really.

Simply astonishing. This game is just as good as the first one if not better. Would 100% recommend this to anyone and I hope the dev’s add more biomes if possible.

Bug. Lemurs shouldn’t be able to fly. I’ve died twice because a lemur managed to get some serious airtime. I’m talking several hundred feet

Great sequel with one major caveat. This game improves on the first in a lot of ways, bigger variety of environments, new gameplay elements to mix it up and beautiful visuals similar to the original. But it carries over one of my major gripes from the first game - some of the goals that you have to hit are completely based on the games procedural generation and not on the players skill. For example one of the tasks is to ‘smash a pot with a water stream boost’, really the only way to do this is to just grind (not on your sandboard) until the game eventually spawns the sequence of a water stream with a pot nearby afterwards. This wouldn’t be so bad if the games random engine somehow accounted for this but I’ve currently been stuck on this goal for ages... And the only way to progress is to just keep playing. Frustrating for a game that is otherwise very fun and polished.

Fun and annoying. Edit; Just fun and a little annoying.. Some of the achievements are ridiculous for what is generally supposed to be a fun, relaxing game to play. Throw a “Smash 5 rocks with the Lotus Flower in one run” in the mix and it completely halts progress. I either don’t get the flowers or there’s no rocks when I have one. Keep it light, this isn’t a Soulsborne game. Edit; I got the challenge after upgrading my lotus to 4/5 and have post-rage edited my rating. Love your work guys :3

Awesome game but dark is to dark. In this app there is two parts and both are great but when it gets to night it gets so dark that you can’t see the obstacles in the way so you keep on failing. Overall really good game but please fix this kink

Great overall, amazing for long car trips. I love this game and it’s super fun, I also love how there is no way for it to be ‘pay to win’. I would like it if there could be a way to play music while you ride though. The fact that it just pauses it is cool and the game sounds are amazing but I still wish I could listen to gas gas gas on repeat...

Keen for a Trilogy. I love Adventure and Odyssey, Truly, they’re both amazing games. I will never get tired of the soundtracks you make for these games and I would love nothing more than a Trilogy to close out this perfect game series.

5 stars doesn’t do this game justice.. Alto’s Adventure was already a beautiful gaming experience that was a perfect blend of jaw-dropping visuals and easy to learn gameplay with just the right difficulty curve. Alto’s Odyssey improves upon every element of the previous game. An amazing, constantly evolving vista. Every gameplay mechanic subtly improved and polished. A game for waiting in line, or for a couple of hours relaxing. A must have for gamers and non-gamers alike.

Starts very well, but becomes deeply unsatisfying. & the recommendation to use power ups that can’t be purchased nor appear in the game when they can have the required effect comes over as patronising after the 30th failure on an impossible obstacle.

Fantastic graphics, gameplay, and progression. An extremely well balanced game with amazing yet simple graphics. Definitely recommend this game to all players. 10/10

The best game in the multi universe (x googleplex). Hi their everyone this game was sooo worth the money 💰 and I also bought altos adventure which is great too the music and the sound of the sand (altos oddeysey) and the snow (altos adventure) soo all the people who don’t want to waist their money I’m telling you the money is worth it

Fantastic. A soothing gameplay experience worth every penny.

Changed to one star. The original was great however the developers have known for a long time that the imagery is waaaayyy too dark and have done nothing about it, literally trips you up every time and it’s impossible to play in the day time in natural light. I paid for this app and regretted it, it’s a shame cos everything else is great.

Good but.... I think this app is amazing I love the graphics and I loved the first one to I would give it five stars but I have a problem, IT GLITCHES SO MUCH if you could fix this plz then I will love it even more

Heheheha. Lol y is there so much rain in the desert?

I dare you not to smile!!. I can’t remember the last time I had this much fun while playing a video game on my phone. Seriously! From its phenomenal physics to the sheer amount of creativity that’s involved, Alto’s Odyssey is a blast and is worth every penny. As well, because I’ve been a hardcore snowboarder since 1991, I can appreciate just how realistic this crazy game is at times. If you’re remotely curious about playing this game, dive in now! I dare you not to smile while playing it. Well done to everyone involved in making this game. Truly.

Amazing game!!. So this is probably the best game on the App Store but I realized a bug that when you are wing suiting and being chased by a lemur, the lemur floats and follows you in the sky.

I have a request. Hi, I absolutely love this game... the music, the scenery... but I wish it also had a completely zen mode, with no scoring if you wish, but with not difficult chasms and no tricky rocks at all where i could just jump and glide my way through the scenery and never fall off or crash, until I had enough, just to zen out!!!! I would play the normal version for a while but then I would play a long easy ride at the end of my gaming period before i go to sleep....

WOLRD RECORD. It’s a great game! But i’m trying to beat my score each time but the bugs keeps stopping me. By example a black screen pops up and my distance decreases from 0m like if my player is being glitch with the map by making me restart from the beginning and it’s annoying! The water makes me lag sometimes too and i have the same issue with it. Please fix the game because dying by a bug it’s not cool.

Great game but.... So I subscribed to Apple Arcade and while I was largely unimpressed with what was on offer, I fell in love with Alto's Odyssey. Which is why, when I unsubscribed from Arcade, I came over and BOUGHT the Appstore Version of Alto's Odyssey. It is a good game no doubt, but I don't understand why I'm paying this much for this game when they clearly don't care about it as much as the Arcade version of it? The Arcade version plays smoother, has controller support, and integrates into my ecosystem so beautifully. I can have my own music on, kick back a little and enjoy that version of the game. However, after having PAID for the app store version, I'm shocked the developers couldn't be bothered to include the same updates here. It's inane that your Arcade version of this game gets different treatment to this one when I have to pay for this version too. GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK.

Can’t play any audio. Whenever I start up the game, any music or podcast playing automatically pauses. I made sure to disable the music and sounds in the game, but I still can’t play anything. 🙁

Freezes. I love this game i beat the snowboard one, but now the sand one always freezes on me in the first 10 seconds everytime its real frustrating

So f***ing good. This game is legit chill and lit. Best mobile game ever

Zen mode. I love how there is a zen mode.no score .no losing.and and calm music

Amazing. Simple, elegant and just amazing fun pretty difficult game that just keeps you amused and if you lose in the normal mode, theirs always the zen mode to make you happy and calm. Thanks

Worth The Money!!. I was looking for a game that I could spend my money on, and let me tell you that this was so worth it! You can play offline and it’s literally endless surfing. Very relaxing and just a simple game with no interruptions! Give it a try! You won’t regret spending your money trust me.

Best mobile game, hands down!. From Alto’s adventure way back, I never thought it could get any better. You totally one-upped that! From the Soundtrack, to the Zen mode, to the beautiful scenery, to the gameplay, I will never delete this game, and will keep playing it till I die. I mean, wow!!!! Amazing job!

Unpolished. Works surprisingly poorly. In altos adventure, the detection for wing suit loops was fairly poor and they didn’t give you points half the time. I expected it to be fixed in odyssey, but it’s actually worse. Similarly, rocks are often invisible when silhouetted beside other background elements and I frequently die to them right after starting a large speed boost. It’s a great game, but it can be very frustrating

Can’t complete the game. Fix the bugs in the tasks and wing suit please this is a paid game not a free game where you usually expect bugs come on

❤️. ❤️❤️❤️

Amazing sequel. This game is amazingly relaxing, design and excellence for details are superb. 😎

SOOOOO LOVEEE ITTT!. Keep doing the great work guys!

Love!. I love this game so much! It so calming and the graphics are beautiful! I also love the music! I would love to see maybe a surfing version since you already have sand and snow!

Favourite game but.... This game is one of the best I ever played on ipad. But since i’ve downloaded ipadOs14, there’s a bug: Izel’s « trail » seem glitchy. At first it just look fine, but after a moment it become epileptical.

A+++. A work of art.

Can’t listen to my own music. I got this game because I loved altos adventure but was very disappointed when found I couldn’t listen to my own music when playing (unlike the other game) hope you can fix this going to continue to play the other until this is resolved.

wOw. why so expensive

Music. Overall this is such a beautiful and engaging game. It would be great if the game did not turn off any music I might be listening to though. I know the Alto soundtrack is nice sometimes for being immersed in the full experience, but sometimes I want to listen to my own music while playing. Thanks!

I don’t die!. I think I played this game way too much. It has come to a point where I can continue one run for what feels like an hour (not sure abt the exact time) until it glitches and the screen turns blank… Nothing else can kill me now… except the glitches

Favourite game. This is my favourite game in the App Store. Beat the whole game win some effort. Lots of fun, especially finishing long runs with cool combos. The hot air balloons are my favourite experience. Good graphics and music. Fun characters to unlock with some effort overtime, too. Perfect for long flights, etc. Would highly recommend it! One of the few games that is sold as a complete package without in-app purchases. Would like to see more of these types of games developed! Worth every penny.

Mesmerizing - Envoutant. I’ve spent many hours playing Alto’s adventure, and I found it awesome, with it’s imagery, the sounds, the music and the gameplay all made that game great. But this one, Alto’s Odyssey, is even better in my opinion. Playing this game makes me dreamy because of it’s beauty, the new music and the even greater sounds. I seriously recommend this game to everyone, as it is easy to play, and it relaxes a whole bunch.

What??. This is what I got for 7 dollars? Ridiculous.

I totally love this game!!!. I’ve played this game for two years now and i absolutely love it!! The graphics and the motions are so incredible and relaxing.

No End. After level 60, all of my level progression and stats reset. So much for finishing this game. Download and play something else that will get you to the end.

😍+😡. I loved this game so much until the game was opened by land and sea because after that the game would not load and it’s super duper clear that this game it not supported, so I want my real game back! please fix this. 😢

Awesome. The game is priced a bit high but not to be discouraged, it makes it up through amazing views and interesting challenges. I would recommend this game to anyone!

Eèë. Tolooh limpah

Hmmm. This game is pretty peaceful but theres thing i don’t understand. What are lotus flowers, pots. Anyway i think i wasted my money but if you please tell me what those are i would play it again.

👏💫. Thanks Alto ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Listening to other audio. Trying to listen to an audiobook while playing. But the game likes to stop whatever other audio I have running. Would be cool if this didn’t happen.

Excellent game. This is really a great game. Controls are super simple and easy to use. The game is very visually appealing. The landscapes are so serene and beautiful. The music that goes along with it is awesome as well. It all ties together for a really great gaming experience. No ads or micro transactions or anything like that. I got this game for free from some special event, but would happily have paid for it knowing how enjoyable it is.

Wonderful game but buggy. Might be my favourite iOS game but I’ve noticed a few bugs when playing -if you hit the sand vertically while wingsuiting you go through the floor and fly underneath. When you come up you crash -randomly lose all textures and just get a blank screen, then you crash because you can’t see anything and lose your run This game is fantastic but it just needs some minor tweaks

Great and worth it. This is a great game, and I love it but I would also like to report a glitch where if you are going pretty fast and come to the chasm type where there is the wall grind and a steep incline you can very easily clip into it but the game doesn’t properly read it that you crashed and you end up being soft locked and have to go to the main menu. It isn’t a big deal on normal mode but I’m zen mode I can be quite annoying. (I was able to do it most consistently with Izel) If you see this and are still interested in updating the game then I would be quite thankful. But don’t let this distract you from the upsides, this is a great game and TeamAltos did an amazing job, thanks!

Worth every penny. As a longtime fan of alto’s adventure, I could not wait for this game. It has surpassed all expectations and I can’t wait to dive deeper into the world of Alto. Thank you to everyone on the team at Snowman.

Amazing. This is not a game. It’s a work of Art

Hard to close the app. Game is nice but it needs an exit app choice in settings. Nothing defeats a relaxing app like having to spend over 30 seconds closing it each time (on iPhone).

Beautiful sequel. Just as wonderful as adventure. My only critique is in the mapping of the walls when crossing chasms (why so tough lol), and periodically the player will overlap dark stone and the contrast is too weak you can’t see if you’re landing flat

Perfect, until you brought back the worst mechanic. I loved Alto's Adventure. It was my perfect game, except for the elder mechanic which honestly I found ruined the fun, somehow both chill and exciting vibe the game produced. So I was super excited when I'd played through to the Temples here and not a single elder. Then I encountered a lemur. It's the elder mechanic but worse, because going onto high ledges (the buntings in the first game, vines in this one) is no longer an escape. It's honestly a shame that devs with such creativity failed to remove the one aspect that dragged their game down.

Absolutely astonishing.. This breathtaking spin on the first game is an absolute blast to play. I preordered it as soon as I found out it was coming out. The look on my eye when I saw the game finally downloaded on my phone this morning, such a nice surprise to wake up to. Team Alto has created yet another masterpiece, while keeping true to the style of the first game, they add new content which brings such a nice flair to everything that made Alto's Adventure what it was. Thank you for making such a beautiful and calming game! Looking forward to seeing what you bring in the future! (P.S. been playing all morning, already halfway to the wingsuit!)

Beautiful and calming game. This game has amazing graphics for a mobile game and the music is so calming,I would really recommend buying.

Awesome. I would highly recommend this game.

Nice and calming. I can have a lot of anxiety and this game is just really nice and calm.

(Speechless). We can all agree that Alto’s Adventure was fun and exiting. The sound effects and music were all outstanding. But when you play Alto’s Odyssey... Oh. My. God. This game is fun by itself, it’s also practically life changing. But, if you thought that this game was disappointing, you probably had the sound off, because the sound effects are spot-on and the music gives you so many emotions and feelings, even without any words!! If you put those three together, you basically get the best game in the world. Please get this game, I swear to God that you will not regret it. 🤗

Beautiful and generally fun, yet.... The game is totally gorgeous and very artfully designed. It’s also really fun to play and sometimes somewhat relaxing. My only issues with the game are that often at the beginning of the game it is hard to pick up speed and then they throw a chasm jump at you. Just seems impossible. And actually, multiple chasm jumps are super challenging at times and also seem impossible. The last issue is just with the fact that sometimes after a game the text is dark over a dark background and you can’t read it. The company did 2 new versions to fix this but mine still has the same problem often.

Fun but some frustrations. Great core gameplay, great sequel. I can’t help but think it would have been amazing if the snow biome from Alto’s Journey was also in this game. 3 biomes are good, but a 4th would be the icing on the cake. Frustrations - Walkie talkie powerup is terrible: The air drops always land behind you. It’s just taunting you as the 4 or 5 barrels of loot drop down behind you so you can only grab 1 or 2 and sometimes even 0. -Falling into a chasm from high up without any warning. Usually there are signs warning you if you are close to the ground, but if you fall from above after getting a lot of air from doing a trick combo you have no warning and no recourse.

Great twist on Infinite Runners, Bad Obstacles. Look, it’s a great game! A huge game, with extensive biomes and a heartfelt soundtrack, but the obstacles are so annoying! The rocks are too hard to distinguish from other barriers in all times except the normal day time. The only difference is that the rocks look like mini mountains, but when you’re playing in-depth into the game with high speeds, you do not realize the difference until it’s too late. I propose that the easiest solution is to be able to select a preference biome/time, whether it’s random or one single background, so that players like myself can enjoy the full experience.

Beautiful.. This game is worth its price. Everything about it is absolutely beautiful. The graphics are stunning and dynamic, and the music is perfect, especially in zen mode. While some quests can be hard to achieve without being frustrated, just continuing to play the game without worrying too much about that difficult quest, will eventually result in the completion of the quest. Each character is unique, and poses a new challenge or strength, and collecting all of the characters feels rewarding. An amazing game overall.

Well . . .. The game has a number of nice features, all of which have been written about already. But I’ve had a few problems: 1. Much of the game happens at night. It is difficult to see what is happening at night, even on an iPhone 7+ screen. 2. The continual crashes make the game tedious after a while. After you’ve tried fifty times to get through a scenario the game starts to feel more like work. I used to play the game a lot. Now I play once or twice a day, just on the off chance that I’ll finally finish the scenario. 3. The game’s continual encouragements ring hollow after a while. “You’ll make it next time” — I didn’t and haven’t for a long time. 4. When you crash you have to start at the beginning every time, and the beginning ain’t all that interesting. 5. The game wants me to “land tricks” in order to build speed. But often there are few early opportunities to land tricks. 6. I “bought” some kind of flying device for 7,000 points. The net effect of the device seems to be to increase the frequency of crashes. I wish I could turn it off.

Enjoyed very much wish there was a party after a certain level. That’s right I want to party once I get up to a certain level I could meet the different characters or a princess or anything .... you know in Mario brothers sometimes you get to be with a princess Ha ha ha The characters would say things to me like we really like that octuple backflip you did and the date you did it of course there’s privacy issues ha ha Ha...Then They could give you a cool new outfit or a scarf>.........................I’ve got to be careful or I’ll eat up all my time playing it Update; I am almost to the last character for more levels!

Awesome!. This game is the best game I have ever downloaded. I love the overall experience of playing it. The animation is wonderful and the soundtrack really pulls it all together. I love how there’s a lot of helpful things that you can buy in the store and especially the fact that they don’t cost real money. The characters are very cute and I love how each of them have different skills. I also love the different biomes you can go to. It’s my holy grail for gaming. I can’t get enough of it and will definitely recommend it to others. :) Thanks, FashionKitty

Good game, with caveats. This is a good game and is overall enjoyable. However I had to give up after only reaching level 33 or so. I can’t get one of the goals even after trying probably a hundred times and spending several hours on it, much more than any other goal. Some of the goals (like the one I’m stuck on) seem to be driven by chance, and so you have to either get lucky, or go far to meet them. After being stuck for so long, the minor issues can also become frustrating... like even though the game is gorgeous, it’s hard to see the character and rocks at night or in the rain. Or when you do a jump or backflip, occasionally you’ll wind up in a chasm that was offscreen when you started. Hopefully for future versions or products the developers can make the goals less driven by chance, and make the game easier to see, especially at night. In a lot of ways I’d like it if the level was the same every run, instead of having it be different. Overall it’s a pretty fun game though.

Breathtaking. I’ve played this game for a long time, across many devices, and it always provides me with a serene and beautiful escape from whatever I’m currently doing. I love the simplistic design of the landscape and the sweeping music that accompanies you on your journey down the mountain. The quests that the game provides you with always remain challenging, but doable, which keeps you from boredom. In general, I think other game developers should take notes from Alto’s Odyssey, as this is one of the higher quality games you can get on mobile by far.

Very interesting. Pretty awesome game. The visuals and sound design is fantastic. The soundtrack is also on par with the quality of the game. If you want something very chill but still has objectives, this is the game for you. My one complaint is that it lacks the ability to play my own music from any app I’ve tried while playing. Even turning off the game music in the app does not allow me to play my own in the background. I will say this is rather frustrating as the soundtrack is cool, I’d like to be able to do what I want when it comes to music especially for the price.

Is this a good game.... Thats a really fascinating question, and I think the answer determines whether or not one should play it. Its gorgeous. Its addictive. Its simple. Its frustrating... For all intents it has the making of a good game. Until you start to realize that much of the game is not based so much on skill as it is luck, and ultimately that becomes the flame that draws the moth back. Nearly every task is based on shifting variables, and so you are ultimately left up to the game gracing you with the variables that will allow you to complete a task. For example, in a later stage "hit 3 rocks with a water burst in one run" you'll eventually hit a stream which gives you the burst, however no rocks... except maybe one or two.... and maybe you'll find that coveted third rock... or maybe you'll have to go through it all again to eventually get to it again... "Maybe this time Ill get it..." But in a lot of cases, it becomes more like the psychology of the Slot Machine that keeps you coming back, and not the actual game, which is why I ask "is it a good game?"

Gorgeous & fun. Requests for Team Alto: — please improve the edge detection, and make it more difficult to accidentally trigger a press on the screen from one of the fingers holding the phone (I’m using an iPhone X) — please increase the touch area for the Wingsuit button—I particularly find myself getting stuck in wingsuit mode, struggling to disable it and then crashing — when the player makes progress towards a goal without completing it before crashing (e.g., “Smash 50 rocks in one run”) please show the Goals screen at the end of the run (like you do when the player completes a goal) so that we can keep track of whether we’re improving — on the pause screen, please consider reorganizing the bottom-left menu, so that “Resume” has more space between it and the other items (so that I don’t have to be so precise, considering that Resume is the action I use on this screen the vast majority of the time) Thanks for the incredible game!

Beautiful art but lazy design - not recommended. I love the production value. The level design - procedural as it is - is poorly thrown together and unpolished. Many times I chose a risky route, only to be rewarded by... nothing. As all the goodies were on the easy route. The camera needs to zoom out sooner to allow decisions to be made beyond luck and guesswork. Worse, some areas are silhouette based and rocks can come quick no thanks to the zoom and a wind effect making them hard to see. It’s crap design frankly. Especially as they’re not distinct at all when the art silhouettes can hide the physical ones you need to avoid. The final nail in the coffin was that the later challenges just get lazy and are sometimes poorly explained. For example, one requires you getting through 4 specific biomes in one run. I felt I did. It looked like a did. However, according to the game’s tracker, I didn’t. Other challenges that were as fun as climbing a mountain with my hands taped together, included having to choose a slower bulkier character to do backflips with. It felt like work for work’s sake. Just dull. Very pretty. But very dull. I want my money back.

Basically the equivalent of Battlefront 2. I loved alto’s adventure and appreciate this game as well! I played a ton for the first few days this game has been out and played countless hours of altos adventure before. I do not like that this is a new game though. I think this really should have just been an addition to altos adventure and this feels like a money grabbing move by the publisher. I really enjoy this game and understand how difficult it is to make a game of this caliber without any advertisements but I still feel like this should have just been an addition to the first game or even an in app purchase addition. Also, they could continue making the awesome merchandise they have been offering in the past. Altogether, this is one of my favorite mobile games but I am only reminded of EA’s Battlefront II because of this greedy maneuver.

Great game but.... Really fun game that is deceptively difficult. My only complaint with this, and it may be more directed at Apple than the developers, is that the description of this game says that it supports Family Sharing. This is false. I purchased this game today for $4.99 and after an hour I was able to convince my wife to download it too, because the description at the bottom of Alto’e Odyssey said it supported Family Sharing. Well, despite us using the Family Sharing option, my wife was also charged $4.99! What kind of false advertising is this?! You can’t say you support a feature that is designed to let families share apps and then do the exact opposite. I really want that second $4.99 back.

Best. Game. Ever!. I have just recently reconnected with this game just a few days ago and as of right now I can confidently say that this is one of the best games of all time. The surreal soundscape and majestic beauty of the game provides a comforting and relaxing mindset while playing. I have seen a lot of reviews saying that this game needs more biomes and as I can agree with this, I feel as though it is already perfect as a minimalist sand boarding game. There are two game modes in Alto's Odyssey, the main one which has three goals for every level and 60 levels, or Zen Mode which has no goals or coins and is just you, the game, and utter peace. If you crash in Zen Mode, all you have to do is just tap the screen and keep playing from where you left off. Both game modes have a Picture Mode on the pause screen in which you can take a screen shot of the game. I would highly recommend you get this game if you haven't already.

Amazing + a few minor fixes. I love this game and even more so the soundtrack. With that here are a few changes that would earn the 5th star. Compass- when you buy it to charge to use it. 1000 coins to pick a new biome? Feels like if I bought it I shouldn’t pay again to use it. Point system - make these points add multipliers to coin counts. Get 10,000 points for a 2x coin multiplier. Right now the points mean nothing to me. Helmets and pix axes - buy one use one for each run through. Not buy one and use it once and then it’s gone. They get more expensive for one use. I play this game nonstop I just would like the items to work on their own without more coins spent, new biomes might be nice the ones implemented don’t feel different enough, what about an oasis biome with trees and jungle feel? Make the point system worth more than the random Achievement. Note: level 16 wall jump back flip over canyon. Zero canyons are spawning for me writhing 10,000 meters.

Fantastic visuals and sound. This game is great! Not only are the visuals, music, and sound effects wonderful, the game is so serene and engaging even with simple controls. Timing is key, and when you eventually do hit something, or miss a jump, the shear zen-like quality of the gameplay makes you want to keep going, and unlike other games of this style, I find no frustration, only inspiration to continue on. I love the goals for each level, and I find it very enjoyable to push the limit, and find new and exciting ways to meet said goals! It’s great fun and well worth the price of purchase!

I love this game.. By far this is one of my favorite mobile games, the gameplay is so smooth and somehow simple yet it is possible to do some extremely complex stuff with combos and such. It is definitely better than altos adventure, which is how i found this game in the first place, and adds so much more variety of how you play the game. I do have a few questions. 1. Will there be any new updates with added features. (Levels, biomes, etc) 2. Will there be more alto games. I will definitely play this game and altos adventure for a long time. Thank you for making this.

Glitches. I must admit that I love this game, when it works OK. The new tricks, like wall grinding and balloon bouncing, are fun. Unfortunately, with the additional Odyssey physics come additional glitches. Several times I have perished on a rope bridge immediately after a water slide for no clear reason. I have on occasion wing-glided directly into the ground only to pop out and slide as normal. The real reason for the loss of two stars is that the screen has begun going black in the middle of play. Maybe this is a new challenge for level 41. I can tap on the screen and resume playing, but it will again go black a few seconds later. This makes for an unplayable experience. Too bad, because Adventure was as solid a game as there ever was. Simply disappointing.

A Beautiful Odyssey. The artwork, backgrounds and music are so soothing and well designed. It’s satisfying how far your skills progress from completing tasks. At the beginning I’d get frustrated that I couldn’t see the rocks. By the end you are defying gravity like a master. I finished my last task today (score 350,000) I kept going after well after this and the game freaked out. Screen went blue and kept vibrating like I was hitting rocks. I think it would be great if right before your last task you get to go thru a new background and music changes. Some kind of reward for getting thru game. Would love an “advanced player” continuation as well.

Manages to freshen up the game. Alto’s Adventure was great. Alto’s Odyssey manages to be a sequel that has some great new gameplay elements and look even more beautiful than the first. My only complaint is some of the objectives are a little frustrating. Currently I’m working on “Smash a pot with a water stream boost.” Should be easy enough, except it’s up to the game to generate that scenario for you. I’ve ridden plenty of streams with no pots in them. I’ve had a pot right in front of the stream, but haven’t had one in it or just after. I prefer the objectives that you can control for the most part over these kinds of objectives. Other than that, the game is perfect.

Great Game But.... I really have enjoyed this and Alto’s Adventure. They really are beautiful games, fun and usually my go to. Unfortunately, I’m getting fed up. This isn’t an irritation about “just not being able to beat a level,” but it’s not fun when a game makes you die (from falls) inconsistently and doesn’t actually give you opportunities to meet goals and move on. This has been noted by other users that I’ve spoken to and they have experienced the same thing. An example would be having wall rides be a part of a goal and there being absolutely no walls to ride over the course of multiple hours spent playing. It really kills the fun vibe of the game and quite honestly makes me not want to play anymore. I understand making goals difficult to attain and working for them, but it’s really not necessary to make them seem impossible and unattainable.

Brilliant. Every single thing about this new alto adventure is incredible. Everything from the audio to the art to the flow and pace of the game. When I hear the roar of the thunder in a thunderstorm, it makes me wonder if this thunderstorm is happening in real life. It’s mystifying, absolutely brilliant. Everything about this game is brilliant. You might think that it’s not worth purchasing for 5 dollars but i believe it is. Every amount of your money is worth it because this game is infinitely better than any other simulator-type game I can think of. If you haven’t already purchased this game, if you can I recommend you do.

Good job creators. I’d play this game for the rest of my life. You guys did a very good job on this game. I’ve been playing this for about 2 years now and it’s just mind blowing. To others this game may seem ok to them but I find no problem with it because this is my opinion. 1 year ago I said to myself: “This game is very boring. Who wants to play this.” Then I start deleting some apps and I come across this one. I almost deleted it. But then I started playing it again. And now I’m playing it more than ever. If you don’t have it, get it. If you do have it, play it. If you’re ever bored, this is the right game.

Be warned: Maya’s a slowpoke.. The game has a pleasant enough atmosphere and background music, with nice gradual introductions of new gimmicks and goals...up to a certain point. Maya, the second character you unlock, is slower than Alto (the first and more well-rounded surfer). Her specialty is quicker backflips. However, one of her specific achievement goals necessary for the game to proceed is to jump over 3 chasms in a single run. The problem is, she’s so slow that she doesn’t have the necessary speed to clear even ONE chasm. At this point, the game changes from relaxing to rage-quitting. Thank goodness that the developer(s) added a Zen Endless mode, as it looks like that’s where I’ll likely spend the rest of my time from now on.

A better sequel than I ever could have imagined. I am not much of an iOS gamer, but Alto’s Adventure had me from the very first run. I have played it for years and it’s my go-to stress release. It also got me through some very tough times in my life. Now the sequel comes, and it’s better than I could have ever hoped. Wall-riding is addictive. The scenery is gorgeous. The music, perfect. It all combines to create a sublime experience. And it runs really well. I play it on an iPad Air 2 and it has never, ever hitched. Smooth as butter. This game’s predecessor was so important to me... this sequel almost brought me to tears. I am so grateful it exists.

Does level 30 exist?. I really like this game as I did with the first game, but I am quickly getting frustrated. It appears there are not 3 opportunities to jump to a bring from a wall no matter how long the run. If you create a challenge you should make the opportunity to achieve that challenge. I am certainly not the best game player around, but if I am not presented with the opportunity within reason, I am going to get frustrated and quit playing. I also have an issue not being able to see my player in during some of then night sequences, and definitely the nights are too long. Please fix as I really do like this game would hate to abandon it. I want to advance to higher levels.

A real desert flower!. I was hesitant at first seeing its $8 or so price tag, and thought that it wouldn’t be much different than Altos adventure. But I was so wrong! Once I got my hands on my pair of headphones, this game gave me a serene experience like no other. The locations are wonderful, but the top things about this game were the sound design and the graphics. Every little note played perfectly matched the calming mood that the game made. And every little bird, pond, plant life like the desert flower, and the ruins are paired along with the music to make the true perfect experience. It makes me wonder, if Team Alto can top this game!

Freezes. Freezes after the i get the coins in the tutorial every time. UPDATE: Restarting my phone helped temporarily with above problem. But performance has gotten better! I’ve enjoyed my time with the game so far. Still freezes on occasion but <10% of the time. After you’ve explored the 3 biomes a couple times, the game gets a little redundant. Those reasons are the only thing keeping this game from getting a 5 star in my book. Update again. Forgot about the rocks at night. There has to be someway to preserve the beauty of night without getting your 30k meter ruined by a rock that you thought was a background terrain

Could have done better. Don’t get me wrong, this game is great, but I think the devs overlooked some stuff from Adventure. Love the biome system but hate the goals associated with biomes, like the wall ride ones or water pool one. It’s already based on chance, and leaving the biome without completing the goal is just sad, since you need to spend time going through 2 more before you get back to the one that will give you the goal. Weather is cool, but sometimes it gets way too dark to the point where I can’t see rocks. Text/UI also doesn’t turn white fast enough making stuff hard to read. Lastly, the radio is cool too but I am always going too fast to actually catch anything it drops, which is pretty sad :(

Needs More Improvement!. Game graphics is so cool and beyond my expectations! But I think the developer should make some improvements. Likewise, the background music is not as pro like the previous release-Alto’s Advance. Although, the trailer of Alto’s Odyssey was so good and the background music was charming. I think they may replace that music with the existing or give an option on the manu to change the background music and add some other background music for a better experience. In this case, we can change our background music as per our needs. Highly recommended to add the trailer music of Alto’s Odyssey. Thank You.

Such a beautiful game!. I remember very clearly... when I first got this game, I nearly cried. It is so peaceful, and beautiful, the colors are amazing, the features are really cool, and the desert...! The music is beautiful!!! Anyone who wanted a calming game should definitely play this. Another thing that makes this game so unique is the weather. There’s rain and thunderstorms and sandstorms, but they actually are lifelike! The thunder comes after the lightning, and so on. Have you noticed there’s even eclipses! So well thought out... it really shows how much thought the creators put into this game. I love the biomes, and the water and balloon and sand and temples. The characters are so lovely too, and you can unlock such cool levels and features (like the wingsuit!) And the fact that you can see lemurs and birds of paradise(they’re sooo pretty!) makes this game really, really beautiful. I love this game so much. Even picking it up and playing one round makes you so happy and calm. The desert is endless, and beautiful. Thank you to the creators and devs! I love this game❤️

Amazing game - but not perfect.... If you’re wondering why I am giving this game a 4 star review it’s because of these reasons: 1: This Game is pretty annoying sometimes. ( For instance when you do a backflip and you land it perfectly bit you’re still in the air you get tilted backwards just a little bit and then you’ll die.) 2: Chasms and how slow Maya is. Say you’re playing as Maya (and she’s pretty slow if you don’t do 1000 backflips and 30 x 10 combos) she can’t make the chasm! It’s really annoying especially when you’re really far in the run or if you almost complete a quest. 3: The helmets and chasm saves. Why can you to buy a one-time use helmet ( 1500 coins ) or chasm save ( 3000 coins) for one single use?! 4: The Compass. I have the compass and it cost me like 7000 coins. I’m fine with that because I can go where ever I want to but if I want to go to a different location it costs me 1000 coins! 5: Why are the quests SO hard when you pass level 35? Thank you for reading hope you can fix these problems then you would definitely get a 5 star review.

Problems. It’s a great game don’t get me wrong just there are some bugs I really want fixed. After i unlocked Izel I noticed these more often. 1. If you go to fast you die. I’ve had this happen maybe 10 times. I’m going fast on a dune( not in the air ) and I die. 2. If you try to do a rock bounce too fast you just hit the rock and die. 3. I’ve tried to jump and get onto the bridges and if you hit it just right you go through. Even if you haven’t hit the bridge and are near it ( it has happened many times ). These are some of my problems that I have gotten. I’ve died mid air sometimes at around 20,000 meters but these are my experiences with the game and it’s a great addition to the last one.

This game is perfect. This game is great. First of all is free which is a plus. Second it is a huge improvement on the first. Third the environment is beautiful and captivating. Fourth the music is so great especially in zen mode. There is hard work and effort from the devs oozing in every millimeter of the game; it’s clear that the devs were only concerned with making an amazing game not making money unlike most other games here which are littered with adds and micro-transactions. So over all 10 out of 10 would play again, this game is top-tier, a chefs kiss.

Fun for a bit. Very very exciting at first and it’s fun finding new places but there’s only 3 biomes, things repeat a lot, not much in the way of replay ability once you’ve reached level 25. Not too many items in the shop, it’d be amazing if there were structures you’d ride on in the dessert that tell a story or items that let you ride higher and higher up into the sky and put some things up there maybe an enemy or coins or a secret skyline. At a certain point the game just becomes too easy and it means you’ve mastered it. Not worth the price but it’s an alright game that is beautiful but the charm’s only there for a little bit and then it’s just rusty.

Could use a better final character (spoiler alert). I love the game. It has great resolution, a marvelous brand new environment, and calming music, but the characters are pretty much the same. Alto, Mía and the rest have the same skills just different clothing. The final character before in altos adventure Tupa could survive a chasm fall and had all the previous characters skills. The new character has the same thing except for the boosts from the engineer girl and doesn’t survive chasms but is friends with lemurs? For a game so delayed I expected a much better final character.

Please Add More Challenges!!!. This is one of the most enjoyable phone game I’ve ever played. I think it is in part because of the way that its level system works — each level has three challenges that you have to complete to go up to the next level. Trying to complete these challenges is very addicting. I have completed all challenges/levels in both Alto’s Adventure and Odyssey. (The addition of new characters with higher skills is a great reward system, too.) Can you please add more levels/challenges to both games (maybe in some future update)! And maybe add another crazy character, or two, or four — Alto’s twin sister? Or maybe Alto’s precocious, fearless, diaper-wearing, baby sister who bounces off rocks twice as high as the others? I’d be willing to pay for additional characters (although I would still like to ‘earn’ the characters by completing levels). In any case, lovely game! Thank you for creating it.

Waaaaaay too frustrating. Well the one star review I left yesterday has somehow been removed so yeah that happened. Not worth your money. I payed for it and I’m not one who likes to waste their money but I’m on the verge of deleting this thing. The goals become ridiculously hard after a while. “Survive all day” really?! How does that kind of constraint make for a fun and relaxing experience? Spoiler alert it doesn’t! That and dozens of little things make you want to throw your iPhone/iPad against the wall. Just read the other negative reviews. Most of the 5 stars are probably either fake or the players are on some serious mood inhibitors. There is a “zen” mode which I finally found after a week. You have to click a barely visible arrow on the right side of the screen to access it. But there are no goals so no point. The developers need to find a middle ground between zen and insane.

I find level 59 impossible to complete. First, let me say this is a great game. One of my favorites. I am particularly pleased that the game doesn’t gouge you for money in order to advance. This is a straight up game - you pay for it once. Unfortunately, I have reached level 59 and am unable to get past the task of smashing three drop crates in the air in one wingsuit flight. The crates drop to the ground too quickly, giving the player almost no time to smash them during decent. I’ve been at this task now for days without success. At this point, I've pretty much decided to pack it in. Bye Alto. It's been fun while it lasted.

Loved both games. I absolutely adored Odyssey and Adventure. The challenges get harder and harder, but once you accomplish them you’re so good at it by that point that looking back seems easy! The biggest disappointment for me was the ending to both games. There was no movie or moment of glory. Just “you’ve completed all the goals!” After getting to know each character as you beat the levels, by the end I hoped to see them all together. After the many hours spent playing the game, I hoped for more at the end. If you aren’t as emotionally invested as I became during quarantine (lol) you should definitely download. It’s worth paying for!!

It was worth it.. When I was buying this game, I was wondering if it was worth the $5.00. Well it was. The game is absolutely beautiful. The gameplay, the graphics, and the music are all fitted just right to the game. It clearly pronounces that it isn’t a game about action or FPS, when you open it up. The game is clearly made to be something that can take up time, while still being fun and relaxing. The music is very fitting And the environment adds even more to that. The only thing I would recommend is maybe a second story to the game, or maybe a missions section. Still in it’s current state, the game is worth the $5.00.

Update things you can buy with coins. I love this game and I played it all the time while I’m watching TV on another TV which kind of sounds ridiculous but I’ve gotten to the point where I can’t bet the next level and I got like 50,000 coins All i can buy are extra lives and you can only use them once before you have to restart for the next time is there anyway that you could update what you could buy with the coins increase the wing suit or maybe the magnet I really like this game but it’s getting to the point where I have to stop playing it because it’s going nowhere is there anything that you guys could do or I’m going to stop playing thanks

Amazing game. I love how it stays true to the original and how the changes makes it even better. The missions are still fun, and the progress is still addicting. My only complaint is that there are some chasms that seems impossible to jump across if that certain chasm gets put in the beginning of the ride. There are some chasms that requires you to go at a really fast pace but that speed is unreachable near the start of the game. It’s not a big deal but hopefully gets fix so those chasm won’t show up until at least a couple of tricks to build those speeds. Thanks for the hard work and keep up the great job!

Add an option to choose a permanent time of day. My initial impressions of the game were positive, but very short lived. During the day, this game is vibrant and detailed, but more importantly it is very easy to discern rocks from the window dressing that makes the game feel alive. However, the game then goes into both an evening phase as well as an entire night phase before coming back to daytime. This matters because for me, it is nearly impossible to identify the rocks in time to survive. They look exactly like all the other objects except rock shaped. To put it bluntly, I have no interest in experiencing the scenery in this game in this night mode. I want to be able to just set it to Daytime and enjoy the masterpiece I know this game truly is. I will happy modify my review if this gets added. I know it’s not difficult to do but that isn’t the sole consideration when adding features.

Explore the endless desert?. I bought this game mostly because I was interested in exploring the endless desert. I had just opened the third biome (which is only a little different from the other two), and was very excited for the fourth. I kept breezing through levels to at one point say, “When does the fourth open?” After looking online, I found that I had already explored all of the endless desert and it wasn’t very exciting. The first biome had balloons, the second had rocks you could grind on, and the third occasionally had typical cut-outs of part of a colosseum for ruins. Only giving 4 stars because gameplay itself was nice — I personally just wouldn’t have paid for it

This game is amazing!!!!🥳🤩. The graphics are amazing and the music is phenomenal. Well worth the money spent. I have also bought Alto’s Adventure and decided to try this one out. At first it started freezing and I had to figure out how to unfreeze it. I still have to do this every time or else I can’t play the game. That is why I’m giving it three stars until this is fixed by Snowman. Many other people seem to also have this issue. Also, I love having no ads as always and the new zen mode is amazing. I love not having to die every couple seconds. Like the description says this game is easy to learn but hard to master, but is fun no matter what! Also I love the new ability; wall boarding and I love the new sand and new biomes in odyssey! Wish I could rate this game higher than five stars!!!!🤩🤩🤩😇

Add an npc race. I love the game, I’ve played both alto’s adventure and now odyssey. An idea I think you can add to the game is a similar mechanic to the lemurs but sometimes instead of having just lemurs why not have a npc similar to the elder in the previous game but instead it be in a race format where you have to beat the npc to a certain distance by doing tricks and as you get further in a run the races get harder and harder maybe even have them throwing obstacles at one point. Then once you beat the race you get a gift of say 1000 coins. You could have this as an unlockable feature day when you get all the characters or fully upgrade the wing suit. Another idea I have is to add wing suit only stunt courses, an example is Maeve you already start in the sky and you have to go to trough hoops to get more points/ speed. Another idea is to add more levels to explore maybe a cave setting or underground caverns I think you should consider adding things like this just because after you unlock all the characters and fully upgrade everything there isn’t much to do in the game.
