Math Interactive Comments & Reviews 2024

💸 Want to send money abroad for free?

We transfer money over €4 billion every month. We enable individual and business accounts to save 4 million Euros on bank transfer fees. Want to send free money abroad or transfer money abroad for free? Free international money transfer!

Useless. I am back in college and taking Algebra II. I was hoping for some guidance with different problems including d=r*t but haven’t found anything on the app to help me. Waste of my money.

Weak offering!!. The best part about this app is the list of topics. I like this for some reason because it seems to help me grasp the breadth of mathematics. Otherwise, I don’t see any reason why you’d pay for a subscription for this information when there are at least 3 free alternatives that provide better features and content.

Not a very helpful “free” app unless you pay. Just like what most of the reviews have stated, there’s no point in downloading this app, unless you’re willing to spend money on something you can most definitely get for free with other apps. The free to download offers little to no helpful content, therefore there’s no reason (except for one, which is mentioned below) to pay for the content when there are other free and much more reliable tools out there, such as Khan Academy. However, a special feature I like dearly about this app is the ability to interact with the graphs and animations. This feature, I believe, should be a premium access for those who are willing to learn more through interactions. However, the content itself should be provided for free of charge. Otherwise, I see no point in paying for the premium when there are more helpful sources out there. I’ve uninstalled this app as this is certainly not the app for me.

Very disappointing app. Do not spend your money on this app, it is basically one of those plastic review sheets. The only interactivity is the selection of a topic to be displayed. The descriptions are limited to a single example with a brief explanation and sometimes a proof, which has no value in this setting. More examples are needed showing different circumstances. There is no mention of sequences and series which is a very important algebra topic. If it was free I probably would have deleted it also. Too bad. It sounded good but you had to pay to find out how lacking it is. Free google searches yield far superior content.

Very nice.... This is an excellent, easy to use, reference. A suggestion for another section: Symbols.

The best. This is a great app. It helped me a lot on my math classes and exams. I recommend this app to anyone. This is a must have app.

Finally!. Hat’s off to the brilliant students who developed this app! This is an app that promotes understanding of concepts and not just providing answers. This is a math teacher’s dream!

Awesome.. The definitions and the pictures that the app gives you is very helpful.

Math interactive. My kid uses it all the time to study

Aims to offer deep intuition — only provides dry, verbose half explanations. You would do much better learning this information on Khan Academy, which covers all of the topics in this app with more detail and more examples.

It’s ok I guess.... I found this app because it was featured on the App Store. The calculation in their example is wrong. The app itself is ok for the price, but it’s definitely not for anyone who actually needs help or needs to learn the concepts (especially with incorrect numbers). Khan Academy is still the best and is free. UPDATE: Received a comment from the programmer. I don’t know how to reply directly, so hopefully they see this update. The error I noticed was in Bayes’ Theorem. I haven’t noticed any other errors because frankly, I quit looking at your app. Good concept... but it needs a lot of help!

Love it!. This app is like my math cheat sheets because it’s simple and easy to understand if you already have a basic understanding of the topics. I love the proofs because it helps me solidify my understanding of the topics. I’m currently a college engineering student who has kind of forgotten some old basic math and so this app is a great at brushing me up on old topics. I really enjoy the simplicity of the style, front type and size, and color code. I don’t mind paying for it as a college student because it’s obvious the developers put a lot of effort into it and obviously it’s a useful app.

Not enough. Not enough terms to actually be useful these are elementary and barely middle school math terms. So as a high schooler who is actually trying to learn and figure out problems this is absolutely useless. And honestly I don’t see any elementary schooler getting an app to help them with their homework.

Good. I would like to add that maybe this app should have examples of linear equations. Just a helpful suggestion. I would also like to add that maybe this app could have multiply polynomials. I have a hard time in math and this helps me with some of the concepts that I am learning.

Math. Get your problems straight

Brilliant app, ignore jealous haters. Thank you for making this app. Keeps my skills fresh as an aging engineer. Now I use it to help my kids with school. Made well and works nice on my iPhone 8.

Well Done. Developers don’t usually get blamed for having In-App Purchases. I guess it’s just that the average users are a bit young. The app itself has no problems. Design is appropriate. Typography and the interactive images are excellent. The explanations are concise but clear - speaking here as a math major. Perfect complementary app if you’re struggling with lengthy textbooks. I understand that IAPs are always somewhat annoying, but earning revenues directly from customers (instead of making you a product) is what drives a healthy developer community. Chill, folks.

Great and cheap app. I like it so much, thx

Timing. Just what my son needs

Don’t Even Bother. I am a geometry student in middle school and I downloaded the app after seeing an article written about the developers show up in the App Store’s feed. Personally, I have always struggled with remembering theorems and laws and they portrayed it as a well put together app that could explain theorems thoroughly to help you better understand them. From most of what I have learned this year—not even half of our curriculum can be covered without paying. You would have to cough up some cash for some of the more important equations/laws/theorems that are crucial in a geometry or algebra class. This is including trigonometric laws, vertex formulas, factoring, roots, polygons, and many more. The theorems included are vaguely explained and are lacking in examples. As for the display—it isn’t beautifully designed, but isn’t horrendous to look at either. Although I will cut them some slack as this is their first time in the field of programming. But overall, if you are struggling in math and looking for an app that might help you—I invite you to look elsewhere. There are plenty of good websites out there including IXL or Khan Academy.

quota alike style of hiding content is crap. deleted wolfram is so much better

Not Worth It. The title makes the app sound like it has every math concept there is. When I got the app, the app only had about ten concepts for trigonometry and eleven concepts for geometry. Both of these subjects have easily forty topics. Plus most of the lessons it has are premium that you have to buy

Terrible!!!. I thought this app had drills and exercises. It’s just formulas. The creators of the app sold me on the vision and the story behind the app. In reality. It’s just an app with static formulas you can find online for free or in the back of a textbook. Don’t buy. Waste of money.

I’m a high schooler. Yeah it would be nice if all the formulas I need are not locked behind a pay wall. The examples don’t seem complete and they Aren’t explained well.

Barely splashes the surface.... I don’t feel like the in-app purchase was worth it... barely enough examples, would like to see more. There needs to be A LOT more content as it only covers “very basic” concepts...

App is good resource, not a teaching tool. The one star reviews are harsh, unyielding, and expect the app to be something it’s not. This app is a clean, spare, dictionary of math formulas and concepts. All the info in a clear, easy to find place. It assumes you’ve already learned the material, and need help remembering it. If you are not learning or haven’t already learned the concepts, this will not teach you. It is not a magic wand, it’s not a teacher, and it’s not going to make the math itself easier. It’s simply a library of information that’s easily accessible. Khan academy and other online tools are not this. They are online math lessons, this is not. For the people complaining about the price, it’s $3, far less than the cost of any book. The people who built it did an excellent job, and you’re able to test the app out for free. You don’t pay the money unless you decide the app works for you. If the app is not what you need, that doesn’t make it a 1 star app. The rating of apps is not about you.

Fantastic app. I’m not a mathematician by no means, in fact im not good at plain regular math let alone any of these other types of mathematics. But I have grown children that have children of their own and I can see that having this at my fingertips would come in handy as they grow up and start more complex math. Thanks to this app I can maybe come of as a smarter grandma that can explain it to them.

Excellent Customer Service. Had a problem with premium, and within a day they fixed it for me.

Weakest Subject Explained in Plain English. While there are some faults to this app in differentiating the value between the free and paid versions, I feel obligated to provide this app with five stars in its ability to clearly explain mathematical concepts that I’ve struggled with for years. My math teachers have never been able to dissect these subjects in a digestible manner and through this app I feel like I’ve caught up to years of lost education. That in itself is a priceless asset and the developers have my sincerest gratitude for recalibrating my brain. Thank you.

Homework helper!. This app is amazing when helping me with homework and studying for my finals. Even though I am a student and couldn’t get premium with a student email and had to buy the premium, the app is still great and helps me improve my math grade!! Thanks to the creators of this amazing app!!!!

Featured on the App Store and not even optimized for latest iOS. Please update for iOS 11 and iPhone X. Honestly a huge disappointment that Apple featured this app

Good. I like the clarity, the comprehensiveness, the good looking presentation. Thang Bui

It’s wrong.... I just got the app, and the very first formula I looked up was wrong/incomplete. I love how easy it is to navigate within the app, but how useful is that if I can’t trust the info I’m receiving? It’s not. If anybody cares, the formula I looked up was for compound interest.

Not the best and probably not the worst. The app isn’t really what I would call “interactive” and it is overall very shallow. The UI is mediocre at best and it doesn’t really feel any different from any free app. Idk for me the sorting is weird since they show u a table of anti derivatives before you even learn about integrals and how they work. Focus on organizing the math by difficulty if you can since there’s just section headers. Sometimes people don’t understand certain variables and symbols; so it would probably be a good idea to put like a hoverable ui element over symbols or math terms people may have forgotten or are unaware of. Overall I’m not really impressed and to me there are much better options out there rather than paying $3ish for premium. I’m pretty sure this team of people are new to app development but I think they should know what happens when they slap a price tag on their software (if they don’t know already). As people said before, khan academy is free of charge and is much better than this currently is (yes khan academy has much more resources but still), and the developers should focus on a way to make this app teach math in a unique and engaging way.

This app is a virus, from the looks of it. I downloaded this app for recaps on theorems when I needed them. It turned out to be an app I wasn’t looking for and I didn’t like it. I deleted it, and thought that was the end of it... I was wrong... it showed up on my home screen with that white background apps use have when they’re being installed instead of the actual thumbnail. I deleted it again, but came back again. And now I’m stuck in an endless loop of uninstalling it, it coming back, uninstalling it, it coming back, and so on. I’m not sure why it’s toying with me like this, but this is the only app I’ve seen this happen to. My guess is it has some virus in it that made its way to the AppStore. I’m not sure if this virus or whatever it is was planted purposely or accidentally, but either way, DOWNLOADERS BEWARE!!!!

Brilliantly crafted. Excellent app, flow, ease of use.

Excellent!. This is a must for anyone who ever needs to solve a math problem.

Math made difficult. I see that you guys are trying to make it easy, but you are not starting from the beginning in each subject. Example, linear equation , all of a sudden you are proving an answer without really going through the explanation of the Linear equation. This app has potentials, but the writer is assuming too many things off the student. The student is expected to know all about linear functions before exploring the materials presented in the App. Also, most of the equations given in this manual are themselves confusing adding misery to a math student. I have been teaching math for almost 20 years and I find it difficult to navigate the course material due to the use of inappropriate symbols, equations and the assumptions that the student know all about the topic. Please revise all content, start by explaining what each term means, go into where can you apply this in real life, then and only then you can go into math. Thank you

Great, very useful tool!. $3 to unlock all premium features. That’s cheap considering what you’re getting for such a fantastic price. I can’t believe people are complaining that these guys built such a great app and dared to charge for it. Is an app useful to you? Or fun and entertaining? Then it’s worth paying for. I’m glad I discovered this app. It’s quite handy for reference. Best find of 2018 for me.

Why use this app over wolframalpha?. Nothing special about the app. Very limited range of topics, each of which are around middle school to high school level. Yet, the explanations read like a dense text book. The information presented in the app is not being distilled in a way that would make it easier for a student to learn this material. If the goal is simply to be a reference, rather than a study or learning tool, then there is zero use case. Wolframalpha is a much better reference, and they cover so many more topics than this app. This app has a neat idea, but it should be more focused on giving intuitive and visual explanations of math. Trying to be a reference will not work.

?. Stop asking for a rating every two minutes. Let me play with it a little while first!

Happy with the current app but they need to expand. I was happy to pay the 2.99 to go premium for the quick access to statistic and calc concepts. But the app needs to be expanded with examples, more concepts, and even practice questions. Has the potential to be very good.

Family Sharing but not for the premium!?. Says up 6 members can share yet it doesn’t allow family members to use the premium features...

Adult math help. Connor was very helpful and I feel could guide my daughter and I with our challenge concerning math. Wonderful person and understands the situation my adult daughter is currently challenged by. We look forward to Connor calling back. Thank You Brent Richards 818-429-3479 cell

Very good. But... I love the explanation of the formulas. I use the app as a reference and refresher for math. But I found several things missing: Matrices and solving systems of linear equations. Please add.

Great App But.... I loved the app guys! I haven’t paid for it yet because i’m still deciding if it would be worth it or not but, I would love the app 10x more if it had Calculus 3/Multivariable Calculus on it. I’m only in Calculus 1, so maybe you guys do have it and it’s just my lack of knowledge of Calc 3, regardless, please let me know!

0/10; DO NOT RECOMMEND. When I saw this app featured on the front page, I was immediately interested and excited as a high schooler who loves math. I instantly downloaded it (“awesome! Its free!”) and 2 days later, I finally got the time to check it out. As soon as I started exploring topics, I was disappointed and angered to find that there was a “Premium” account available to purchase, and most information was only accessible by premium owners. I can’t even explain how disappointed I was, that an app that was lauded as “made by high schoolers for high schoolers” would require in-app purchases to access content! I hope the developers/creators see this and realize that this was a huge mistake on their part. Shame on you!

Well designed and great little tool. This is a great tool to have to quickly look up any kind of topic. You do have to purchase premium to access all topics but makes sense because they don’t have any adds and should be paid for all their hard work in creating this app, and it’s not much (2.99). I can easily find what I need instead of long searching through google or watching lengthy videos. I can easily make my flash cards I need for my test and greatly appreciate it! 👍

One of the best Math help apps I’ve ever used. This is an amazing app. Get it. You won’t be disappointed. No adds. No fluff. Interactive and clearly explained.

More Maths. Graphs and planes are some of the only things that are shown, it would be great to access more information on a whole range of different types of maths such as matrices, complex numbers as well as some more useful as complex maths. And also it would be great to incorporate physics as well. And just a suggestion what if we put our equations in, and have step by step examples on how it is solved. Overall the free version looks pretty helpful for explanation of maths formula that I’m currently learning, I would definitely pay for premium.

Quick concise. Ready when you want to look up a definition. Or how to do something.

Disappointing number interactive activities. Expecting more activities given free version. Lots formulae and calculations but more required.
