Works. 30lbs in 2.5 months. I tried keto, I tried them all. Ended up binging and gaining more back quickly. Found fasting and really knocked out the cravings. With Zero it’s really easy to follow your progress without feeling like you’re staring at a clock waiting to eat again. The articles help ease your mind in the beginning knowing that your hunger pangs and other side effects are common and have reasons. Also how to avoid them and get past the fasting wall. I love the timer and how you can count up or down. I count up because I like seeing how far I can push myself within reason. Counting down makes me want to eat as soon as it hits 0:00. The app has some great tracking features and syncs up with apple health so it takes down the data from my smart scale. Nice knowing that I don’t have to manually enter everything every time. A welcomed improvement would be a way to change the theme of the app to keep it fresh or personalized. Different colors etc. this is a small ask for me. Overall I love the app and have lost 30lbs, 6%body fat in 2.5 months. Tbh I haven’t exercised much at all. Just having my body do what it does and use the energy I’ve stored away for years. But now losing the weight of nearly two full size dyson vacuums, I have more energy both mentally and physically that I now crave to get out and do more

Fantastic App. This app is extremely helpful throughout your IF process. It’s user friendly, and if you a beginner to IF like me it offers plenty of tutorials specific to the fasting process to address any questions or concerns you may have along the way. You choose the daily Notifications you feel you need in the settings. My experience is they have had a positive effect in keeping me on track. Like I stated earlier, I’m new to fasting, I’ve been doing it for less than a month and already see it’s benefits. My one con is: the app doesn’t provide a way to track your fluid consumption, a feature sorely needed. Overall, this app has made applying consistency to my fasting program so much easier. And you know what they say,“Consistency is the key in all successful journeys.” I highly recommend this app, get it, and get started!

Pretty good app. I really like this app it helps keep me on track. I like the features so far of being able to adjust when you started and stopped your fasting times. The only problem I am having is reading the articles. I am blind, so I use voice over as my screen reader that reads me everything on the screen. My problem is when I open the article it will start reading, and then the voiceover will stop, and it skips to the next page without me wanting it to do so. Basically, I am getting the beginning couple of sentences and the ending of the article but nothing for anything in between. It is almost like the articles are slides or something. Whatever it is it does not work well with my phone. If you guys could fix this issue, I would be more than glad to give this app a five star rating.

Misinformation and deceit. The science behind weight loss is not fasting. That is a health myth that has been promoted by individuals trying to sell you a fast weight loss plan. When you do loose weight over a period of a week by fasting you are loosing “water weight” which is fat that is easily dissolved with the restriction of calories. Which would be great if it wasn’t a type of fat that comes back easily with drinking water. A lot of the programs say that it must be a total fast, where you don’t consume anything, no food or liquids, playing into the idea a couple of sentences back. This also denies the idea that people need to learn how to eat healthy on a regular basis. Fasting for weight loss is great for models and fighters that must go down a weight threshold to have a better weight in the short term, but is ineffective for the average person as as soon as the person is not restricted by the fasting app there has been no subconscious push to indulge again. And this usually is met with a rebound, and more weight gain for the person in question. In summary this app is trying to scam you into being completely dependent on it and wants you to fail with no plan B.

Coaching function is frustrating. My daughter turned me onto this app. She’s followed Peter Attia for a long time. I really like the functionality, and the videos in the articles are great. I signed up for the coach portion because I really wanted to see the statistics. I’m two weeks in and learning how to fast suit me best as well as what is making for better weight loss for me. There was an initial questionnaire, and all the coaching seems to be based off of that with no way to modify or change preferences. The modifications week to week in the fasting regimes are minor but I want to add a couple of 18 to 20 hour fast in my week, and the app doesn’t allows me to do that. I could just do it and log it, but I get a lot of motivation about having the timer. I’m also doing over 110 hours in fasting, even if I’m not making my 16 hour goal every single day because I’m doing longer fasts some days, but then for the next week the coach recommends a 80 hour fast regime with options that don’t have much variety to them. Very frustrating given the cost of the app.

Great App. I was introduced to this app by when I started intermittent fasting. This app takes all the guess work out of figuring what time to break or start fasting. I needed flexibility so that I don’t have to stick to an exact time every day. When your ready to fast you press start fasting and it will indicate the time you will need to break your fast based on which fast you choose. You can also customize the type of fast that you want. The app also lets you know how much time you have gone over past the scheduled fast if you don’t break when your scheduled to. Whenever I have my last meal then I press fasting and the count down begins. Even if I stop eating at 2 o’clock in the morning the app will tell me the next time I need to break my fast. This app is extremely helpful and has been so useful in my journey with intermittent fasting.

Very useful. I have been using the Zero app since March of 2019 and have found this app very useful to reach my health and other goals that I have. The developers keep improving the app in many useful ways such as improving journaling, adding more knowledge to the learn feature and improving the stability and function overall. If you are wanting to track your first fast, look no further my friends this is the app to get. Also be sure to check out their Oak meditation app, it is amazing. One suggestion: I would love to see new features on the Apple Watch. For example have the fast tab show up on the Apple Watch that way I can quickly select the fast that I need. Also if you could please add the Oak app to the Apple Watch and have the ability to select and download a meditation or breathe to the Apple Watch. This would be awesome to have while away from my phone, that way I can put on my AirPods and do a quick mediation or breathe session while on break or lunch. Thanks for the hard work.

Literally life changing!. This app has been literally life changing! I accidentally stumbled upon it, just wanted something SIMPLE to log my fasting hours when I first started learning about intermittent fasting but it has sparked my interest in all things related to fasting and health. Im not able to afford paid version and Im extremely grateful that the free version has enough basic information and tracking features to inspire change and at least plant that seed to help people want to learn more, and to want to live with more insight, regardless of economic situation. I was that moron.. the one watching with suspicion while wolfing down pizzas, thought people fasting were just weird food hating extremists. This app has been a revelation, and has been instrumental in opening the door to a new world to me so to speak. It has been invaluable in changing my attitude towards food, fasting, meditation. If you have the means to buy the paid version do it, it will be a small investment for what you get. For me sadly the the price point for the paid version for this and the podcast is not doable but the free version can be very eye opening. Dont just log fasts like I did at first. Dive in and discover everything on the app thats available for free and listen to the podcasts. Fasting and tracking my glucose is now my normal way of life. Grateful.

Absolutely the best app!❤️🙌🏻❤️. I am so happy I discovered this app! I am new to fasting & this app is my companion, it is full of useful information & tools to help you be successful with your fasting. I truly don’t think I would have maintained my fasting without this app. I usually don’t do reviews because once I’ve downloaded an app like this I’m usually quickly disappointed, it’s either too complicated to follow or not helpful at all. This is hands down the best; changed my life for the better! Definitely makes you feel that you are not doing it alone. There is a subscription if you choose to do the coach, the fee is very reasonable for all of the help & resources they offer. The free Zero is awesome too, just depends on how much help you may want. Thank you to all that helped develop this app & continue to make it great! I can’t tell you how awesome I feel!

Full Featured App With Nice User Interface. I’ve been on a calorie restricted diet for years making very slow progress on my weight loss goal. I decided to start recording the time of my last food each day knowing that the time you eat may be as important as how much you eat. It quickly became a burden and a clutter on my calendar so I went looking for an intermittent fasting app. Since my original interest was just recording the time of my last meal I wanted a simple low/no cost app. I found only one free app that didn’t have in-app purchases to goof up features. Zero was that app plus it had the bonus of a 4.9 rating. To my surprise this is a full featured app with a very high quality UI . It has historical tracking of your fasts and can read or write to Apple Health. The app had so much IF learning information that I began a 16:8 schedule. I’m only on day 4 but my progress has improved while keeping exactly the same calorie goal. No matter what your needs to track IF or TRF you are in for a treat with a professional app to assist you.

Took a good thing and broke it. Previous version did what it did and did it perfectly — no bloat, no issues. Now? Boy. Slow to open, interface is overdesigned and inconsistent, you need an account (and to agree to the customary sure-to-get-worse-over-time-once-selling-your-data-becomes-lucrative privacy policy) just to use the thing, and occasionally things like notifications just don’t work. Why do I need to know that 85,000 other people are fasting right now? I don’t, certainly not if it means the app is slow to load every single time I open it. This isn’t a social network, it’s a utility. Would rather have paid for the previous version of the app than get this trojan horse for free. Sticking with it for now, if only because the watch app hasn’t been mucked with (yet), but I’m also looking around for alternatives, which I never felt any need to do before this update. Zero version 2 seemed too good to be true — free, polished, no strings attached — and I guess it was.

An essential download for weight loss. I’ve tried countless diets and none of them ever felt good. I have severe anxiety and major difficulties with memory and would get torn between eating out with friends or sacrificing my diet, both options sending me into an attack. Until I found Intermittent Fasting. It’s the first time I’ve felt truly free and in full control of my eating, with the added bonus of giving me tons of energy. And there’s no way I would’ve been able to lose as much weight (20 pounds in less than two months!!) without this incredible app. It’s simple, efficient, sends beautifully easy notifications, and even has a dark mode. The app shows you how many people are fasting with you, has options for the different kinds of fasts, helpful information, and much more. If you’re even remotely curious about weight loss, control over eating, or IF at all, you need this app. It costs a whole 0 dollars, so why not give it a shot?

Best fasting tracker in the market. I’ve been intermittent fasting for about 2 years on and off. When I’m fasting, I find it extremely motivating to track my taste on Zero. I love that it has a few of the standard preset fasting times, but more recently I’ve been using the custom fasts which is an excellent feature. I’ve been back and forth on the 16-8 and 20-4 fasts so I set my custom to 17 hrs at the moment knowing I can build my way back up to 20 hrs. When I was regularly fasting and tracking on Zero consistently for about 3 months, I lost 15 lbs pretty effortlessly. I’ve fallen off the wagon a few times but I’m back on now and am exciting to keep tracking. The UI is really beautiful and easy and I love that it automatically updates my weight from my Bluetooth scale through the Health app. The only update I’d like to see is to have a more interactive view with the recent fasts feature. I feel like this page could be more helpful. Overall, 100% recommended to anyone looking for an IF tracker.

Mistakenly Monetized. Zero has decided to charge $70 a year for a timer… or so I thought. I opened the app to start my timer for my fasting window and I was hit with a pop up window that couldn’t be closed and was asking for money to subscribe. I couldn’t close the window. So I thought zero had made some upper management decisions and I deleted the app. Then I set my timer for 18 hours on my phone since it’s the same thing. Ive recommended this app to friends because of the links to the science and info behind intermittent fasting, not because of the timer. I came to review and give feed back of how I was disappointed that the app would be subscription only going forward. The ZERO team got back to me and informed me of the unintended subscription window a couple days later. So kudos to them. I reinstalled the app.

I really dig this. First started using Zero in November 2018. The app was less tricked out then. But I lost 48 pounds and Zero came along for the ride. Really helpful. After a while fasting became so natural that I gravitated away from Zero. Unrelated to this, I started putting on the pounds again after managing to keep the weight off for a whole year. Just yesterday downloaded Zero again (love what you did with the place), set me a 24 hour fast and, whereas in recent weeks I really struggled on my own to even skip dinner, somehow a stupid app helped put me on the right path again. Just completed my first 24 hour fast, about to embark on a second one today (probably risky but I want fast results). Anyway. Awesome app. Something about that nice orange timer that help lock down that commitment. Can’t explain it. Thanks to the whole development team though!

What this app does is very simple but effective. The features of this app that I use are the fast timer and calendar of completed fasts. It’s very simple functionality that’s not in the other health apps I use and it has never failed me after a month of fasting. The app will allow you to track other data, but the offering isn’t comprehensive in that regard, even if you pay for the premium upgrade. It also has some advice content but most of that is in video form. I prefer to skim than being stuck at a presenter’s pace so video isn’t my format, but if it’s yours, maybe that’s useful. The little bit I did check out didn’t tell me anything I hadn’t learned with help of Google. Finally there are challenges. I’ve joined a few of these but they don’t change my motivation. Maybe there’s fun in collecting the challenge completion badges.

Very helpful and useful!. Not having the subscription, there are some things you can’t read / watch / do in the app, but what IS available has turned out to be incredibly helpful. I love being able to see the calendar with fasts and the weight log, getting reminders. The app’s simplicity and usefulness has made it easy to keep on track daily. I’m about 2 months in haven’t missed a day. One suggestion as an addition would be a place to log measurements —- perhaps with fill-in-the-blank body parts for those that measure more than the standard bust-waist-hip. I’ve been consistently (SLOWLY) losing weight. What’s been a big help for me is my measurements, which have decreased fairly significantly already. I just add it in a Note app currently. A second suggestion would be to add a different color on the calendar for days you surpass your goal.

You guys messed up with the recent update. One of my favorite apps. I used it all the time for my fasting journal. I just got done deleting it after the new version forces you to login your personal information… Not something anyone wants! I kept declining and every time I declined it would refuse to allow me to set the timeframe in custom fasting option. If I did not allow notifications it also prevented me from doing a custom fasting option. it now tries to link you through Facebook etc. All the different options that you added cannot outweigh the fact that you’re definitely mining for more information on your customers and this is a deal breaker. I’m not going to be forced to give my information and allow notifications when I don’t want them. The old version I just entered what time I started, what time it ended and it worked fine now I have to go look for another app or some other means of tracking my progress for fasting. Whoever came up with this so Called upgrade needs to have their head examined. People do not like being forced into corners where they have to allow notifications and or give their personal information!!!!

The premium version was great until the last update. I am a premium subscriber and I absolutely loved this app until the last update, which took all of the coaching features out of the app - which is why I purchased the premium subscription in the first place. It used to suggest a weekly plan of 5 fasts of varying lengths to do each week and you simply had to get in the hours around your schedule on the flu. All that is gone and now the plans are the same fast every day and it wants you to plot out your own schedule for the entire week down to the minute and figure all this mess out for yourself. Heck, I don’t know my schedule for tomorrow most days, much less a schedule for an entire week! The app isn’t even providing any coaching any longer. It’s all a big complicated figure-it-out yourself mess that I don’t want to deal with. I’m probably going to drop my premium subscription at this point and just use it as a timer, because Zero took away all the features that I paid for. It’s not worth the money now.

Needs a clearer way to address cheat days!. Great app. I’d love for a few different functionalities. 1... the calendar(and notifications) to be more functional for scheduling different lengths of fast for the week in advance because the biggest thing is I forget to think about what time it is and when my fast will begin/end. Sometimes I’ll forget that it’s 30 minutes until my fast end time and I have to make food and then eat which pushes me past the cutoff. I want to automate more of my fasting schedule. 3 days i fast for 16:8 and 2 days I will fast closer to a 20:4. 2... you’re gamifying fasting, which is good, but this is problematic when we cannot schedule cheat days or a clearer way to incorporate random schedule changes into the dietary restrictions. There are certain days that I know my eating schedule won’t follow a normal fasting pattern but I can’t indicate that in the app in any way so it ends up looking like I had a 24 hour eating period or something like that. It’s messing up the data and usefulness.

App would be Great with a Few Tweaks. I’ve used this app for 3 years, only taking one short break from it along the way. It has been great for tracking my fasts but I’m noticing a few glitches lately. My “weekly metrics” often show a fasting average that’s inaccurate. I’m assuming it’s supposed to be showing the previous seven days. If so, mine is currently showing an average of 16 hours 45 minutes, when in reality my fast has been 19.1 hours on average over the last seven days. The two-week average under this section seems more accurate. It’s a little challenging to go back to a previous day when I need to make a correction in my fasting time start/finish. But at least it’s doable. Wish there were some basic directions for navigating the app better. I would like to go in and take my “weight” off my main page but once I entered the weight, there was no way that I could find to go in and delete it other than changing the “focus” (gut rest, etc). Sometimes, it calls today “yesterday” or vice versa. This seems to be a newish glitch I’ve noticed over the last couple months. Overall though, I had to give this app a 4 because it has truly been a big help to me over the last few years. I like the design of the app much better than most others I tried.

Great for Intermittent Fasting. I follow a keto diet and lifestyle and eat in an 8 hour window. Zero helps me track my 16 hour fasts. You can create a custom fast time period and then press Begin Fast when you’re done eating for the day. When you meet your goal, an alert pops up to let you know you have been successful. I am VERY grateful for this alert because I would probably forget to eat otherwise. My appetite has really diminished on keto, and since I’m a First Responder, I can’t risk rushing off to a emergency and suddenly realizing I’m famished and haven’t eaten in 20 hours (it’s happened and it SUCKZ). Zero helps me remember that I’ve given my body a rest from digestion and it’s time to refuel for the day’s adventures. I simply get my meal 🥓🥦🍳🥑☕️, press End Fast, and chow down. After dinner I just repeat the same steps. So simple and so effective 👍🏼

Extremely Helpful App - Review Update. I love this app. Very informative and helpful when it comes to health. I’ve been fasting for a while and having gotten this app makes the process much more enjoyable and educational. Previously, I had an issue where the app wouldn’t update the settings I had left for the notifications I wanted. It was very frustrating and annoying for me. I left a detailed review about the error and within about a week the developers fixed the issue and left me a response. Thank you so much to the team of developers who worked on the issue. Since then, this app has only gotten better and better. The Zero team is adding more educational content and adding new features that enhance the user experience. My favorite most recently added feature is the change in fasting zones. The Zero app now allows you to add a little bit of information regarding your lifestyle. Based on your lifestyle the fasting zones change. I’m currently on the ketogenic diet to lose wait and the change in fasting zones is very motivating for me. I also love the charts that Zero displays. For example I can see a trend line that compares my weight loss/gain in front of a bar graph that shows how long I’ve been fasting. This app is really amazing and is helping me meet my weight goals. Thank you so much for the great work and please keep the great content coming!!!

I gotta say I really like the app. However plus just doesn’t do it for me. I’m already a pretty healthy fellar... I’m fasting fir autophagy and the app just doesn’t provide enough value for me. Lots of great info from the experts, like it like it like it. However what I’m going for there isn’t wnough information out there to privide the type of value I’m looking for. Will be going with the free version after my trial. And personally even if I was trying to lose weight the features probably wouldn’t do it for me. There is good info but most of it just seems like weight mongering(which is the typical marketing for weight-loss related strategies) But I think the price is steep. Overall great app concept, but there needs to me more value even before i’d consider paying that price for the app. I understand a profit needs to be turned but we broke. However I really like the app and will continue to use it and I’m happy to help the creator make money thru advertising. 4 stars!

It’s a beginning point for me. Reasons why I purchased a subscription and in priority order. 1. I need to sleep better - not just in hours but also in quality. 2. I need to break my obsession with food as a crutch for my stress. 3. I need to not feel so sluggish during the day. 4. I need to avoid the ups and downs of a sugar / caffeine rollercoaster. 5. I need to lose weight. Here’s the scoop. Eating before bedtime is bad. Why? Because it causes your digestive system to continue working which means that your sleep is going to not be as restorative as it should be. The first week, I did the 13 hour (fast) / 11 hour (not fast). I made a few tweaks to what I’m eating but for the most part, my focus had been on ensuring that I adhered to 13 hours of not eating and specifically, avoiding eating 3 hours before bedtime. I was able to stick to the 13/11 all 7 days however, one day, I ate within an hour of bedtime and it was not a good night’s sleep. The other 6 nights, I consistently slept 7+ hours without waking up once. The second week, I switched it up to 16/8 and so many things improved. My sleep was still 7+ hours but the added bonus is that over the course of those two weeks, my resting heart rate has fallen by 8 points. This is a solid investment. If I could suggest improvements it would be to allow for integrations with other apps.

Disgusting, amoral business model.. Another app that has zero value. You are forced to commit to a subscription and give them your credit card number before you can even try it. Thus, even the developers don't even believe the app has any value. If they did, they wouldn't rely on forcing you to commit to a subscription before you even try it and hoping you forget to cancel within 7 days, so they can deceptively charge you for an entire year, They know most people would not pay for a subscription, due to the lack of value of the app, but since they were forced to subscribe and hand over their credit card number. They rely on people forgetting to cancel within 7 days so they can charge their credit card for a full year. Or like many of the victims of this scam, the developers 'forget' to send them a reminder but go ahead and charge for a full year, anyway. It really is a despicable, disgusting business model. Especally for a simple timer. Yet, the developers act like they created Red Dead Redemption or something.

Actually free and very useful. This app is simple to use. Very intuitive. I only have the free version and I don’t get hounded by adds which is great. I don’t mind paying for Apps- I just basically refuse to pay subscriptions. I tried a few apps for fasting together and I didn’t like the others nearly as much as this one. I love that you can just hit a button to start a fast and another one to edit your start or stop time (meaning if I ate 30 mins ago but didn’t mark my fast as ending). The other apps were way to ridged. They would make you schedule all fasts for the week then would even automatically start and stop them. That’s not how my life works. I can’t eat and fast at the exact same second every day. That’s why I love Zero. It isn’t annoying. Doesn’t make you hate yourself if you break a fast lol. It’s just a great simple tool there to HELP you. Not there to overpower and run your entire schedule

Great motivation. I first learned about the new subscription level on Zero from the Tim Ferris Show. I was excited to check it out because the free version has been a daily part of my life for over a year now. I’m more than happy to play a bit of money to an organization that adds so much value in my life. The addition stats and content library is amazing and help me validate in my mind I am doing the right thing for my health when so many naysayers think the idea of not eating for long periods of time are crazy. For all the folks complaining about being offered a chance to access to more information at a cost, think about how you get paid. You provide a service to someone else and that puts money in your account. How do expect app developers to operate any differently. And, at a subscription rate at less than $3 a month, they certainly aren’t taking advantage of anyone.

If you are the fence.... About this app or about fasting in general, go for it. This app is a very well designed helper with first time fasters. If you cut yourself off, and forget to start the clock, you can edit the start and stop times by tapping the corresponding number on the screen. If you forget to start the app- or that you intended to fast at all, (hello me) there is a gentle reminder shows up on your lock screen. Overall, I started a 16/8 and feel amazing, AND I’m cutting out (yikes!) thousands of calories I’m not eating in the evening. I’ve been starting around 4p and although the app congratulates me for completing at 8am, I go for a few more hours. I’ve found I’ve lost weight, but most of all I have more energy, I don’t crash midday. Yes, at night I feel my stomach whining for food, but I know if I get thru it, I will feel great in the morning. Try fasting, try this app.

Bug?? Bad update??. I love this app. And never had an issue with until yesterday. I haven’t been able to basically use the app. I’m giving one star only because when I click app support there’s no way to tell them about a bug. So hopefully they see this!! What’s happening is the app is having a really hard time starting/ ending a fast, changing a fast, and keeps kicking me out of my account. I hit end fast and it’s saving them with an incorrect time and type of fast. For example: I ended my 13 hour fast that started at 8:25 but then saying I have ended a 18:6 fast while having a 18:6 fast still on going from 10 pm. And while I can edit the times from the journey section I can’t edit the type of fast. Gave 1/5. Edit: With the new update everything was fixed!! Thank you so much! Now a 4/5 because I’m unsure if they improved how to report bugs.

Love this journey for me.. Absolutely thrilled at the mental result of my first fast which is literally minutes away from being over. The 15th hour got very hard. I made some black coffee which I hate and drank it and now I’m almost done and it did suppress my appetite and I did get over that hump. I made a commitment to myself and I stuck it through and that’s huge for me and that’s why I’m doing this. For self-discipline. To prove to myself that I can. The rest of the benefits are just a plus that I happily will relish in. I started the seven day free trial scoffing at the idea that I would ever pay nearly $70 a year for this app but intending to get a lot of use out of the seven days no doubt. Just minutes away from my fast ending my first one that I’m actually truly intentional and committed to, that $70 ain’t looking like a lot right now and I’m definitely contemplating taking this lifestyle more seriously.

App is great but the price is not.. Honestly, the title pretty much sums it up. The app is great at what it does but it’s crazy expensive in comparison to the competition doing pretty much the exact same thing. If you want to get really simple about it it’s just a timer app. All phones come with one. And I do like some of the pro perks but I can’t justify $70/yr or $10/month. I will say they do make great apps as Oak and Less are also phenomenal apps. Update: you know what? I take back my negative criticism. I’ve been using the free parts of the app more often and have come to the conclusion that I very well may subscribe. In comparison to other fasting apps it just blows the competition out of the water. Thanks for the Developer response. I do appreciate that. And thanks for the app!

Would Like a Bit More. As I’ve used the app for 3 weeks I get the sense it is more for those who run on emotion - how do you feel? That is not so much me. The guy who does the videos to help you understand fasting does a fantastic job - love that part. Timer for fasting is also great with the exception if you stop eating close to your new fast time and 30 min decide to start fasting you can’t adjust the start time or at least I haven’t figured it out. So here is the one thing that is missing is any kinds of recipes. It only tracks good by what you say you ate no nutritional value or what you should eat during your fast. So at the end of the day, it is good if you want someone to give you motivational talks and a timer, but if you want the step by step eat this when you are fasting this is not the app for you.

Absolutely.... I absolutely love the app, however I would like to recommend adding in the ability to make your custom fasts longer than 24 hours. Specifically for those people who love doing longer fasts, such as 36, 48 and 72 hours. I myself am a big advocate of longer fasting, however the moment I got my iPhone, I knew I wanted this app. The sunset counter is amazing and the app is beautiful. But again, I’d love to be able to track and be notified of fasts longer than 24 hours. Seeing the pop up say that my fast is up is the most satisfying feeling in the world. Thank you for such an amazing app and keep up the good work! EDIT: This review was typed up BEFORE the 3.0 update. This app literally because the BEST fasting app on the market as soon as they allowed the custom fasts that go as long as 7 days. 😎

Nice counter; suffices. I’ve only used it for three days so far, so haven’t yet “earned” a week’s average, but it appears to meet the minimum metrics I’d need to challenge myself against my past fasts. However, I wish it had more metrics, such as monthly and annual averages, as well as other means to push and gauge my eating decisions. However, in my almost three days, I’ve been prodded to review the app 4 times, including the very first time I opened it. If I had had more time to evaluate it before the first prod, I’d probably know it better and provide a better review. However, I’m doing it now hopping the review prods will stop. If they don’t, I’ll try another app. Edit: with a (very few) quibbles, I’ve been using this app for a few years and certainly rely on it not only for a daily tracking app, but for the morale-supporting and challenges provided by the metrics that come from consistent use.

The real wonder of using Zero:. The real benefit of doing the intermittent fasting with Zero, is that before you know it you change your eating habits such that in order not to prematurely end a fast, you make an effort and are surprised when you see how easy it is to be aware of senseless eating. With time you realize that you are really becoming the master of your body, and that you eat much more aware of why. We then “eat to live” and not “live to eat”, feeling liberated from snacking, and generally poor eating habits. To my great surprise, even though it was not my reason for intermittent fasting, I have lost over 20 lbs in some 8 months. Finally breaking my 210 lbs weight barrier, down to 207 lbs! This was incredible since I had become convinced that I had a weight set-point of 230 lbs, while dieting or not… Now I have the habit of intermittent fasting everyday, with a goal of 16 hours, but not worrying when this goal is not achieved, or if I exceed it; basically NO PRESSURE!

Compared to others this is great. In the past month I have tried the fasting trackers with zero, Simple, Fastic, and MyFitnessPal. Zero, at first I thought was lacking in the fancy visuals, so I tried Simple. Simple was a nice tracker that includes calorie tracking. The food tracking was terrible for the amount paid for the subscription, none of the food I entered was in their system, it was not worth it. Fastic was glitchy in tracking my fasts, like if I had to modify any start or stop times, it would not save any changes I tried to enter. MyFitnessPal is way worse with options to modify start/stop times, but wouldn’t actually take any changes outside the pre-planned fast times. I am still using MyFitnessPal for the calorie tracker. After seeing the bells and whistles of the others, I came back to Zero. It’s simple and allows editing of starts/stops. I’ve seen all the recent unhappy user reviews, but Zero by far is better than the competition.

GREAT APP. I have been using the original Zero app for approximately a year now and love it. Just as is, the original is a fantastic app for tracking fasts. It also has graphs available to show your progress as well as the ability to log weight and other health info which you can sync to other apps (optional, of course). BUT NOW... WOW!! I’m on day 3 of the free trial of the new ZeroPlus and it’s amazing!! It will break down your fast in real time and describes in detail what stage you’re in with a detailed account of what your body is doing at that time. There are tons of other new features with the PLUS as well. I love the “Learn” center and it’s large amount of science-backed information on fasting as well as exercise, different diets, recipes, just to name a few! I’m still learning all the new features for I’ve only scratched the surface. But I will definitely be purchasing ZeroPlus once my trial is over. Highly recommend!!

Eating windows and meal light don’t work. I really like the premise of Zero, and I would definitely pay for a premium subscription and use it all the time, except for one thing. The "eating window" has way too many bugs in it. For example, I'm currently on a 72 hour fast since Sunday at 6 pm. (It's now Wednesday about 1 pm.) Zero is recording this fast, but if I go to the calendar and look at eating windows, it shows me as have several different eating windows of apparently random lengths during this fast. There shouldn't be any eating windows (obviously) if I'm fasting. Also, while I like the idea of being able to record my meals and take pictures of them, which would give me the advantages of the Ate app along with the advantages of Zero, the app doesn't seem to let me go back into the meal and edit it. I'm not sure what the issue is here. Sometimes I can and sometimes I can't. Sometimes the meal that I recorded seems to disappear altogether, and sometimes it's there but I can't edit. I worked for a while with a customer rep, but they could never get the bugs worked out, so it appears to be a problem with the app itself. After a while, I was getting close to the end of the month that I was willing to pay for to try it, and I wasn't going to pay for more when it wouldn't do what it promised that it would do. I'm currently signed up for another month in the hopes that the problem is fixed. Obviously it isn't, so I won't be paying for premium anymore.

App forcing me to pay for premium. I loved this app and found myself using it for over a month. The mechanics are simple and it’s a great way for me to keep track of my fasting! However, recently it began trying to force me to subscribe to premium. Every time I open the app, a pop up comes onto the screen and tries to force me to subscribe to premium. There is no way to get off this screen and access my fasting timer again unless I actually subscribe to the premium feature. Whether I update the app or restart it, it stays stuck on this subscription page. It’s very frustrating that now, an app that was meant to be free with optional paid features, is forcing me to pay to access features that were previously free for me. I really want to continue using the app but I’m so frustrated that I’m considering deleting it. Update: the app just sent me a notification claiming my access was “unlocked” for me to use the app for free again without premium. Once I opened the app the pop up appeared again but this time with an “x” on the top right corner. While I will give this app an extra star because the problem is fixed, I still don’t find it fully enjoyable to use an app that temporarily forces you to pay them despite marketing themselves as a free app with “in-app purchases” which are optional.

Great for old guys. At 60, gaining weight is easy; dropping pounds however is not so easy. Case in point, April 1 I weighed 310 pounds and felt miserable. Realizing I was literally eating myself to death, I knew I needed to make some changes. That’s when I found the Zero App. I figured I’d just use the free version to see what intermittent fasting was all about. 2 weeks in and I was down 18 pounds and not really struggling. However, when I purchased the full version I really kicked my weight loss into high gear. I’ve been using the full version for a little over 4 months now, and I’m down 67 pounds. The articles, challenges and tracking make it easy to stay motivated, and more importantly, provide really helpful information that has helped me learn more about my body and kept me excited about reaching my weight loss goals. Anyone that has struggled loosing weight should give Zero a try. It has changed my life.

Good app gone bad. I’ve been using this app for a few years. Over that time period it has gone from an app that mostly just provided a timer with reminders to an app that tries to do everything around food and health: coaching, information about diets, eating windows, etc. These are fine but I’m personally uninterested in them; the biggest issue is that they have very much cluttered the UI and made it less-useable. However, the big issue is that over that time period the app has gotten less functional at its most basic use as a fast timer. Often times starting a fast will appear to work properly, just to come back later and see that it never actually started a fast (and this problem is made far worse if you attempt to start from an Apple Watch). Similarly, ending a fast often doesn’t end a fast. The widget is unreliable to the point of being useless and both it and the app tend not to update fast timers properly. Manually setting a fast start time or end time often does not save properly. Overall, the performance and responsiveness issues have taken the app from a convenient way to organize my fasting to a burden that I’d rather avoid by using manual phone timers and forgoing any of the data-collection and encouragement that app, when functioning, can provide.

Finally A Way Towards A Better Life!!. I just love this app. I chose the 16/8 fast and this app makes it so easy to fast. It will tell you the ending time based on when you start your fast whatever time that is and whenever I feel like breaking my fast before the time I look at how much time I have fasted and how much time I have left and just drink some fasting tea or bone broth and keep doing it!! I also placed reminders to let me know when I had gone halfway or to just check in to see how I am feeling while fasting. I love how it has the tracking that lets you know how many days you have fasted and the badges given for the days you have fasted. My next one will be the 25 day one and it is coming fast. After that is the 50 day then the 100 day and so on. It will be a great since of accomplishment to meet all of those goals, all thanks to this app. I love it!! Thank you so much!!!

Should have tried this sooner. I’m 47. I was about 40 pounds overweight, five days ago. Now I’m only 30 pounds overweight. I’ve alternated between the 16:8 and 18:6 fasts and been a diet Nazi on myself. I’ve switched to a Mediterranean diet, and probably eat between 1,000 and 1,500 calories a day (I don’t keep an exact count, and that’s just a rough estimate.) Basically, I’m eating about half of what I normally do in food, and have cut out all alcohol and nighttime snacking. Have tried to walk/jog about a half mile a day and run around the yard more with my 5-year-old. I imagine if I exercise harder, I’ll turbo boost this process even more. On a scale of 1-10, my hunger pangs while fasting have sometimes hit about a 5. But it’s totally manageable and takes just a little bit of discipline. With this app’s countdown timer, it’s easier to hang in for the last hour or two, because the end is in sight. And when you do eat, you want to eat as healthy as possible so you don’t feel like the fast was for nothing. My beer belly’s days are numbered.

Used to be 5 stars.... The previous version of this app had a much more refined UI. I gave the previous version 5-stars while I give the current version 3-stars. This version is still functional, and it provides more information. That said, the current UI is unnecessarily busy and lacks simple but powerful elements of the previous version. One of these elements is when a person reached their goal the whole UI would change from the red to green. While this is a seemingly simple thing, it had a powerful effect on my experience. With the current version, I no longer get the satisfaction from glancing at the app during my day following reaching my goal nor do I get the resultant motivation to keep pushing on beyond my minimum goal. Another example is the interface for initiating my fasts. The previous version of the interface was more simple and in my experience more inviting to initiate a fast. For me, it was actually a small joy to press start on the previous version. Now I am faced with several pieces of unnecessary data surrounding the start button. It fees more like a chore than a pleasure now. There is too much noise surrounding the experience I am seeking I really value this app, and I believe it can help people. I hope these deteriorations and others are addressed and not worsened. The first version was so much closer to nailing it

Used this app to lose almost 70 lbs in 3 months. Then the pandemic happened and I stress ate my way through. Now there’s a vaccine coming and I want to get back on track again. I highly recommend this app for weight loss, health, energy, anti-aging, etc. I wish I’d known YEARS AGO that fasting was healthy and a real way to stay healthy and fit. We were lied to fir decades, but it’s not too late to take control of our bodies and health! I tried a lot of apps for fasting and this is the most flexible. You can edit your start time after starting the fast so if you forgot to start the app, but remembered to fast, you’re all set. It has some scheduled routines and a lot of freestyle, so lets you do you. Notifications are inspiring as it shows how many other people are fasting. You can eat a wider variety of foods if you fast regularly with far less negative impact on your weight and health. I don’t feel like a failure or dread coming back to this. I got anew iPhone and it triggered me to get going again. I’m really excited! Join me in a fast today!

Favorite iOS health app. I have been using this app for the past year or so (intermittently, pun intended), and must say ur is by far my favorite health app overall. Part of why I like Zero so much is its gradual development of new and useful features, while keeping the interface minimal and functional. I never struggle to find settings, and their UI design updates never leave me feeling lost about where anything is, due to the simplistic and functional fast-tracker homepage. Unlike other fasting trackers I have tried in the past, Zero is more concerned with supporting a healthy lifestyle as opposed to just fasting, with regular check-ins on weight and goal-setting. As a student, I find the pro subscription a bit on the high-end, although I do feel like they offer a lot of content and features for it. I hope that they offer a discounted version in the future, but for now, I am also extremely satisfied with all of the free features that come with the app.

Love this App. Fasting is like meditation for me - really difficult habits to stick with. This App has helped keep me motivated through the tough times, through the periods of hunger that would have made me give up in the past. I love the visual aspect of the timer, the prompts to force me to check-in on how I am feeling, the data, and the articles and virtual "support" peeps. The app has made visible times of the day that give me the most trouble and tips from other users have helped me deal with them. The bottom line is that the fasting has created a stepped improvement in my energy levels which has carried over into my work productivity and relationships with friends and family and coworkers. I eat when I get home at 4pm and end up making much healthier food choices (food has never tasted so good after a 20+ hour fast). This has become the too App that I engage with throughout my day.

Love This App!. I absolutely love this app, it makes it so easy to keep track of my fasts! I also like that it is simple to track things like exercise. I would love to see a way to customize the order of the graphs on the "me" page. I mostly just use the app to track fasts, weight, and activity, so I would like if I could move the activity graph up below the fasting and weight graphs rather than having to scroll past so many other things I don't use in order to find it. Would make the app flow a lot better, and also work better for those of us who don't have Zero Plus and aren't interested in it (for financial reasons or otherwise) so that all of the blurred graphs that say "unlock correlations" aren't cluttering the page either. That's my only suggestion. Other than that, one of the best health apps I've ever used!

Was good before the update. I used this for a couple of months and was really enjoying it. But then they made a really dumb update and now it’s not worth it. Suddenly the “fat burning” zone all but disappeared, and retroactively too. All the weeks I spent fasting 16+, 18+, 20+ hours a day where I also logged at least one or two hours of exercise each day, the fat burning zone changed from hours to just minutes or none at all. You mean to tell me that fasting 20+ hours a day with 2 hours of cardio and HIIT, and I never left the Catabolic zone??? When previously this would have shown I was in the fat burning zone for hours??? So then I’d have to fast a full day or more to even touch the fasting zone? Talk about a recipe for creating an eating disorder. Whoever made this decision to recalculate these zones needs to think again. Removing the motivation and success is a buzz kill and makes you not want to keep going anymore with the app.

Awesome and helps keep me on track. So glad that my sister recommended this app... user-friendly and easy to navigate and edit times. This app helps me last those extra hours or minutes needed to complete my fast. I have now recommended it to family and friends.

Easy-peasy achieve your fast goal. I be been using this app for a week and have downloaded a few to try - and this one is definitely a winner. Easy to use and modify, great reminder and countdown system. Fantastic fast info from “does green tea breaks your fast” to “when should I fast and how often”. Love the app.

Helpful Fast Tracking. This app is really helpful for tracking your fasts and giving you information on how to fast in a healthy way. Even if you don’t subscribe or have premium, you can still use it to do these things. If you do use premium (which is a bit more expensive than I’d like) you can get access to heaps of helpful tips and information, and reach goals and compete in challenges. The design of the app is also quite nice, it’s visually appealing and easy to understand and use. It’s the best fasting app I’ve come across.

Day 3 of Fasting with Zero. The app is basically a timer or count down, with lots of information on how, when, why of fasting. What I really like is that it gives you a goal, something to watch. When you e already started, slept you’ve done a fair chunk so why stop now. Really good motivator to last till your end goal.

Good App. I have tried a few different fasting apps, most do much the same thing ie track time you are fasting. Some are free and some could be classified as expensive, l would place zero in the expensive range, however in saying this the apps layout and functionality is the best l have found and l will keep using. The only issue l have is the graphs within the app for the most part do not seem to function (at lest for me) l have contacted zero support and their reply was fast with instructions to address the problem, unfortunately the instructions did not work, l am waiting for additional advice from zero on how to address the issue. I will keep using at least in the short term as l do like the app a lot, if my graph situation is addressed l will change my subscription from monthly to yearly.

Most expensive app I have come across. I would love to be able to use this app and not spend over $100 for the pleasure. I’m sure once all the functions are available to you it’s great - but the free version is incredibly limited. Every time I click the wrong thing it tries to make me sign up and pay an exorbitant amount for the year. I just can’t justify it and hate that each time it asks, I have to close the app down entirely and restart it just to make the “ad” go away. Disappointing really.

Very helpful. I like the App, I find it really motivating. I wish I could add info about my daily routine e.g I’m a night worker. Feels silly when it tells me to ‘rise and shine’ in the morning. I’m not shining for anyone until after 2:00pm! They could probably skip the journaling of how your ‘feeling’ or at least tone it down a it. I just stopped the app’s push notifications because it was asking me to enter how I was feeling only 1 hour into the fast. Bit over the top.

Too slow to load. This app was simply perfect. Did everything I could hope for. Now with new v3 it seems to be trying to do too much. I don't object to extra features, but it takes over 10 seconds to load on my iPhone 7+. No other app takes this long. Even huge ones like FB load in a couple of seconds. Sometimes I want to quickly open the app to see how long is left in my fast. And it takes forever. Please developers work on the load time for the next update

Innovative ideas. Try bringing in some more ideas into this app. I have downloaded an app called Simple. It does the same thing as your app but also notifies you time when our body gets into ketosis stage or autophagy state. That was quite informative. The layout was very nice for that app. You could probably refer to that app and try improving yours. Because at the moment, what this app basically looks like is, just a timer. So even if people download it, after a certain time they won’t feel like using it. Not much 2-way communication between the app and user. You could either take my suggestion and improve your app or you could just discard my idea. Cheers

Great. Great app for encouragement when fasting. To see 100s of thousands of people all fasting at the same time is fabulous. I highly recommend you download this app. It’s so easy to use and understand. It really does train you to be mindful of the amount of time in your day/night that you spend consuming food without thinking about it.

The edge. This is a very handy little app. I’ve been fasting on and off for awhile now, but this is the first time I’ve really tracked my progress. Watching the countdown get closer and closer to my feeding time, is the encouragement I was looking for. Also, not wanting to stop the clock short, has saved me more than once, from snacking. All said, Zero is a powerful fasting partner and I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking at making fasting part of their lifestyle. Well done Zero team!!

Created by men for men?. I have been using this app for a while and now again after the launch of Zero plus. The plus version has a lot of interesting features : - the graphs and charts where the fasting data gets overlapped with your data from Health app (and other apps that could be fed into Health). - the educational cédions and content. I loved loved loved how Peter Atia explained the issue and fasting as a tool to help resolving the issue (almost convinced me to buy the yearly membership) - The app is well designed in terms of UI and graphics. Why not 5 stars: - there is very little information for female fasters (less than a handful resources which makes me feel like a minority user!). This is a huge gap (in the market overall I dare say!) and much needed. If I find another app that covers the ground well on this regard, I’d happily stop using Zero. - coaching plan cannot be changed in case you change your mind. I find this strange, that I cannot even drop out of the plan either! - I cannot find any educational content on how to unleash the app potential as a tool to improve my health e.g. how to read all these graphs and what to make of it! How to use the app other than recording my hours of fast and feast?

Password Reset Issues. I'm a little disappointed that a simple password reset is taking the support team more than a week to fix. This issue should have been escalated to the developers especially since we have been emailing back and forth the same things over and over again. Apologies if I'm wrong but it seems the only action that has been done to try and fix this issue is to copy and paste my email address to the 'Reset password' function which I have already done multiple times on my end. I have already lost track of my intermittent fasting and definitely have lost my streak. I am unimpressed by how the support side of things turned out in this instance when I thought your application was fantastic in the first place.

Simple timer but efficient. I’ve just started using this app because I kept forgetting when my fasting period ended because I could be up to an hour early or later depending on my day. Now I just set when I start my fast and I don’t have to think about calculating anything. Simple countdown timer but it works.

great app ruined by the need to push upgrades. I started using the app before apple convinced them to add a paid tier and I have to say the constant push to get me to upgrade has me hovering over the delete button. It was always a marginal benefit timing my fasts, I’ pretty much OMAD as it is, but I liked being part of the movement. The main screens are littered with options that require plus. I don’t want it, I was happy with the app several upgrades ago.

Simple, well-designed and perfect. I love this app. I’m writing it after using this for over a week. I’ve been doing IF for a long time, and this app makes me feel silly for not organizing it using this. Having a reminder to start and end fasts is useful and helps me to remember things for busy days. Or days where I have to end/start fasts and different times. It keeps me accountable without getting annoying or all encompassing. It hits this sweet spot: allowing you track progress and making things fun, without overloading you with information and interaction. Also, the information and videos are really useful. They helped me stick to things and draw inspiration/tips for IF.

Amazing but.... Loving Zero’s intuitive UI and ease of navigate. I have been using it since last year and been fasting for a while(before the pro upgrade) but after the pro feature, they get rid of some cool features for the free mode like the mood graphs etc 😭 it broke my heart. The pro subscription is a bit expensive for a student like me.

Subscribed for a year so far not enough features. Everything is working well but most of the time it’s a glorified timer if you are already disciplined there’s no need for long time subscription for this app. Lack of add meal/calories pre-filled options, wasting time typing out what I eat and how many calories but it doesn’t get take into consideration of my daily calorie goals. Can be a lot better but after a few months of using it you lose interest and engagement to the app.

Used to be good. This app used to be great, now its full of subtle dark patterns to try upsell me to Zero Plus. Such as replacing the stop fasting button with a button that starts an eating window - a feature thats only available to zero plus members. Another one ia starting fasts pops up an upsell to zero plus dialog every time that is hard to cancel out of. I dont think the type of subscribers you want are ones that have done so by mistake or by feeling pressured but this is the tactic you are taking.

App Update Ruined App. This fasting app was ruined by the update. The update is intrusive, complicated, has too many moving parts, makes multiple demands on the user that are manipulative, and comes off as fake and disingenuous. The obvious intention of data collection is explained away by Zero saying on Twitter that they want users to recover data on different devices, but this could be resolved by iCloud login, if they sincerely wanted to preserve user data for the users. If they wanted to monetise then they could have given users the option to sign up, but instead they forced login and multiple changes on users. The transition seems to be poorly thought through. Zero says they beta tested with many users, but this is no justification for imposing an essentially entirely new app on users. Why not give users a choice? I will delete this app. It was a delight to use the previous version, and the update is disappointing.

Set up, sync problem. I downloaded the app on my iPad and iPhone, unfortunately I started using it on my iPad first which allowed me to Sign In with Apple. I used it for a few days then tried to sync with my iPhone, no luck it only let me sign in with google or Facebook, no option for Apple. When I tried to use my Apple email address it said already taken. Now have to start again which is a bit disappointing as I am finding my trial of the app very good so far. Would have liked to continus with my already saved data.

Not bad for a free app ☺️. App is good. The resources to read are not updated if you’ve read or they don’t add any further material if there is any that is. I’m new to fasting and would loved a actual list of foods to limit or reduce and to know how many calories you can have based on your weight and your physical activity to make this app so much more better. I’ve given a three star rating because of my reasons mentioned above. But in saying that this is a great app and highly recommend to anyone and everyone who is looking to track your fasting. It has many different options and you can even change between different tastings to suit your own needs. They also have a custom which is good. I have been using this app and fasting for up to three weeks now. Good free app hope it stays that way.

Overweight and Autoimmune. I am overweight and have an autoimmune disease. I’m only at the start of using this app, and have launched into 18hr day fasting which suits my lifestyle. I’m already loosing weight, and my legs have stopped aching (inflammation of connective tissue). I’m so happy with the progress. It’s an excellent app with superb supporting documentation and tools. Can’t wait for the results! Thank you🙏

My Fasting Record. Hi I’ve been fasting only for a short time so trying 16/8 hours but thinking I will extend the fasting time very soon. Love this app as I can see everything very quickly and I understand exactly where I am and how I am succeeding to reach my goals. Am in Ketosis according to my strips and feeling great! Monday morning is weigh in time so I just know I’m going to be down....even just a small amount is special for me. Lost 8kg so far maybe 5kg to go. Subject to how I feel and look. I’m relaxed and enjoying my adventure, first time I’ve been so relaxed while loosing weight! This is an add on, as for some reason the original didn’t get sent! I’m only having one problem and that is my iPad and my iPhone are not working in tandem with this app. I’m a 75y young person but I need help to get my full potential and 100% use of the app. I’m finding it a nuisance to have to go from each place to update and use my zero app and it’s so upsetting! I’m hopeful that someone will be reading this report and then let me know how to fix it!

Lost it’s way. At its core, this application is a simple timer that gives you a notification when that timer is up. I’ve been using this for years. First came accounts, then promoted content, then auto selected notifications for promoted content and now with all those notifications disabled, I receive promotions about their new premium service asking me to give them money per month. I’m done now. I’m uninstalling. I imagine that I’m going to be constantly pressured to consider giving money or signing up to affiliate content. Trying to make money for a business is great, but at the end, this is just a timer for ~16 hours and a notification and I dislike how much I’m being pestered

Fantastic tool. The new update took a few minutes to get use to but easily grew on me. It is more pleasant to look at and easy to browse thru. The badges section is a welcome change and serves as additional encouragement for users. The weight goal, though has no bearing on me, also will serve as an encouragement for first time users. I would like see more articles and videos in the learn section. What’s already there, I think, appeals to people with no science background; easy to understand and well explained without having to google every sciency scientific word in the articles. Thank you, Zero Team. Fantastic tool and fantastic work!

Great but can be better!. Simple and easy to use. Definitely will keep using but it could be better if you enhance complication features on Apple Watch. Particularly countdown on inforgraph modular would be my no. 1 wish. Simply countdown to start scheduled fasting and to complete fasting in the middle; text and bar type complication. Cheers.

Recommend by a real experienced faster. I have been fasting for around 6 to 7 years now, and I’m always looking for useful apps. Give me more knowledge or just keep me on track and zero certainly does that. A lot of friends are family asking about fasting and this is settling one app would recommend. I started with a free version and decided to give the paint version ago. I can honestly say I think I’ll be sticking with the paint version now. Great insights and very professionally presented to help to you make your decision.

Slow syncing since last uodate. I have been using the free version of zero for a while and i was very happy so i upgraded to zero plus last month. Since then i have been experiencing slow loading at times but the last couple of days is VERY slow. Everytime that I visit the “coach” or “me” tabs it start syncing and takes like a minute. And then if you scroll down it start syncing again, and that really spoils the whole experience. Also now that i am on it, and in case it is related. The sleep log is not syncing with my health app. I have check the permissions and it is activated but it doesn’t read the data. i am very happy with the content but it is useless if it takes so long to load that i’ll skip it.

Fantastic app for fasters. I have been using a variety of apps for fasting over the years and this is one that is new to me, but it’s made me delete the rest. It has no annoying ads, a simple and succinct interface that does everything I want in a fasting app. Highly recommend this app.

Fantastic, but... Its fantastic and have been using this app for 2 years, but i have an issue with notifications? It used to send notifications when the fast should end and when i do break my fast i forget to check the app and record it until i check it in bed and it says i’ve been going for 24+ hours!

Great app!!!. Very user friendly! I wanted to give IF a go for a long long time now and never was able to start it until this app! I started with 13:11 until I was comfortable to go to 16:8, and the fact that there is so many people fasting as well it feels like your not on your own makes me a lot easier

Exactly what I need. App is efficient and makes it easy to track the fasting window but also allows you to make changes to the window if you choose to extend or shorten. I also like being able to look at my data from a few years ago and compare my fasting hours.

APP/IT Support When On Boarding as a New Customer. I have been using plain old Zero happily and successfully for a few weeks. I was sent an email with a discount offer to purchase Zero Plus due to Black Friday. The link took me to the APP and a page that said ‘oops something went wrong- refresh’. Reaching out to Big Sky Health informing them of the issue, they responded to the first email with a custom made response (very thankful because this is rare) with assistance that unfortunately failed. Upon writing back (complicated by time zone separation) for further support the issue has now been resolved by uninstalling and reinstalling the APP. I’ve persisted because even prior to the full suite of the APP features being available to me this suits my personal requirements for IF and provides useful data points. IT have provided ongoing support and are happy to troubleshoot to ensure a good user experience. I’m really looking forward to using the paid version to enhance my fasting. Being an avid follower of Peter Attia for many years, his association with this APP meant it was my first choice when needing an IT fasting tool. The APP is there to lean on too when in the middle of a fast the going gets tough.

Awesome but needs some tweaks. Just started using this, I love it! I would’ve given it 5 stars but it was a bit tricky to understand how to use it AT FIRST but mostly the ‘eating’ state countdown should be more similar to the ‘fast’ state i.e. should count down and not count up. I’d rather know how much time I have left to eat with the option to extend. Setting reminders wastes time and is annoying to have to do everyday, don’t make me think! ;)

Great app. Does what it’s supposed to. Love this App. I use it daily. Would love to store breaking fast images locally rather than just sharing with others. Also ability to share the fast result would be good. I currently take a snapshot and send. The share feature shares the app link. Minor things but overall a great app

Ease of use is fantastic!. I absolutely love this app! I use it nearly everyday. It’s great for tracking your progress, HOWEVER there is one improvement I would like to see done. I’d like it if when setting your goal weight it could be set to the fractional decimal number. For example, you can enter your “weigh-in” as 227.6 (including the decimal) but you can’t set your “goal weight” to the decimal point, only a whole number (225, for example). If the “goal weight” number could be entered including to the decimal point, then the actual weight loss tracking would be more accurate. Thanks for reading!

Nag ware. In the last few months this app has become nag ware. Its constantly asking you to buy a 1 year subscription for extras I see no value in. Can you stop nagging once someone says no? Edit: developers told me this was a bug. Updating didn’t work but deleting and reinstalling solved me issue. Rating changed to 5/5.

Great app!!. I love this app so much, its helped me consistently stay on top of my fasting. The new function of seeing how many people are fasting at any current moment and which fast type they are doing is really encouraging. The only thing I would change is an additional count down to your next fast (instead of just how long it’s been since you fasted) and an automatic reminder. Highly recommend this app.

This app has changed my life!. Every kid loves being timed and this app brings out the kid in me! A simple easy to use timer for fasting and for eating time is so efficient, love it, lost 15 kg so far I'm very happy. The only CON for me is that the interface has changed in the me section,so that when I go to see my results over the previous months is just a Calendar with little, hard to read dots, with the hours of fasting on them. Instead of the long line graphs which gave you a really good feel for how well you're doing. I miss that graph,I felt that it was very motivating.

Great app, with 1 really annoying “feature”. I really like this app. It’s got a great UI, lots of excellent information to help learn about fasting, the mood tracker is cool, and I love the graphs that show progress with customisable options to map against (eg: view weight changes vs fasting time etc). BUT, one thing I hate about it, and it’s enough for me not to pay for the full product, is the fact that I can’t log food when a fast is active. Considering I spend 18 hours a day fasting, that’s a very short window to eat AND remember to log all my food before my fast starts. I get the sentiment, but really why stop users from being able to enter food retrospectively? Fix that, and I’ll consider signing up and paying for this app.

Highly recommended. Fantastic easy to use and inspirational being able to track personal data and achievements. The app lets you see what stage your body is in during faster that encourages you. I was 124kg and am now 95kg. Just absolutely amazing I absolutely could not have done this without the guidance and encouragement from this app. So very very happy

Fasting is easy. I really like this app, and the reminders. Mostly I like the graphs to see our progress. It provides lots of information from peer reviewed sources and the support group on Facebook makes it easy to see we are not alone. Why not also mark ketosis, autophagy, growth hormone increase and minimum insulin on the circle ⭕️? Just so we’re able to see what happens in our body as the hours pass by. Also a water reminder would be nice. Some of us forget to drink water. Or a list of drinks we can have while fasting, forbidden items like fructose etc Keep up the good work.

Love it‼️. I’m really enjoying the app. 😌 The app has awesome features that monitor other aspects of your health. It does this by allowing you to log the amount of hours you sleep, regularly encourages you to document how you are feeling throughout the entire fasting process and keeps records of all previous fasts partaken in. This app offers a lot more, this just names a few. 😊Thank you so much to the creators of this app. I really encourage everyone to try this out. xx

Bait and Switch online reviews.. If there’s one thing I really hate it’s feeling like I’ve had the old bait and switch. Dozens of online reviews talk about a no cost basic plan, recommending this as a good way to trial the IF habit before deciding if you want to pay for the upgrade, many many reviews saying they are happy with the free version… but surprise surprise, there’s no option for a free plan! Just a one week free trial and then billed for a whole year. One week! IF is a long term lifestyle change that is bound to have some starting issues - what the hell am I going to learn and appreciate in a week? Is this a new thing only having paid plans? Is it reviewers getting kickbacks? Because it’s NOT CHEAP and I’m on a pension. All I feel right now is that the reviews were paid promotions and the app is a Bait and Switch scam to take a yearly fee before I even know if I’ll stick to it. I’ll give it a couple of days so I’ve got an idea of what’s included before finding a free alternative. Leaves a very bad impression. Oh well.

Free app that has everything you need. I was looking for a fasting timer and this app let’s me set, edit and get reminders. It does lots of other helpful things including connecting with Apple Health. And it’s free for all the functions you need for multiple fasting patterns. Really happy.

Very good app but annoying upgrade promotions within the app. I've been a long term user of the app and intermittent fasting. The basic version is enough for me. The promotional in app screen blocks are very annoying and do not respect my focus or attention. After 3 years I would of thought you would know me by now!!! Please either add a setting in notifications because you are not letting me control these annoying screen block ad. I'd give it 5 if these could be controlled or removed.

Useful fasting app. The timer which goes both ways either hours left or hours done which is useful and also being able to design your own fast length. It also tracks weight and other stuff. Highly recommended.

Obsessed!. This app is fueling my fasting and fitness obsession! I look at this app for hours everyday, looking at the same content but it keeps me super motivated and I haven’t caved away from my goal once since. The free trial is almost over and I’m devastated because there’s absolutely no way I’m forking out over $100 for an app… but it is pretty great and very insightful.

Zero Easiest Fasting App. I love Zero it’s the easiest fasting app to follow. I live the way you can change fasting times and days so easily and even change the ones you have started if something happens. Tried other apps and found them no where near as flexible or easy to use.

Carlos Suarez Rubio. I am new to this app and I am trying it out. However, I find this app extremely capitalized as it charge for everything except the basic and does not even offers as many benefits as Fastic.

ClickbAit. Avoid this app. It was good but then after to download it , it will lock all features and it basically becomes a timer. Too bad I thought Peter was here to help people become healthy?

Horrible redesign. The app is good itself but I hate the new update and redesign. I wish I could have the option to change the icon back or change it to one that isn’t so harsh and ordinary :(

Used to work well, now it’s extremely sluggish. I don’t know why it went downhill suddenly, but it’s no longer working well. It’s extremely slow in loading up and often makes an error in recording my fasts. Sometimes it wouldn’t even recognize my tap at first attempts. Now I have weird gaps in my fast calendar, skewing my results.

Good but sync issues. Poor synchronization with Aura and health for activity and weight data

Anabolic now behind paywall. Used to be able to see anabolic with free version but now it’s behind a pay wall. Other apps like Fastic or Zero Calories app show anabolic on their free version.

Great App. Easy to use.. I tried demos on a few of the big fasting apps out there. This is the one I’ve stuck with. Simple to use, flexible, intuitive UI, great info, doesn’t bug u to upsell a bunch of features you probably don’t need or really want.

Enjoyed the app until recent update. It now requires and account and signing up... for a timer app. Come on.

Not free. You can’t make a free account like the other reviews said. And no, app developers, there isn’t an x in the corner to skip “free trial”. Horrible. Fix it. I’m uninstalling.

Not free. Didn’t try I can track fasting without paying for a plan

App not adapted for ipad. Please make this app adapted to ipad users... it would be so great !!!!

More complicated, mandatory sign up. I knew this would happen. I shouldn’t have updated it. I know you need to make money by selling my email address and I appreciate the app. I’ve signed up and will try it but it was much simpler and calmer before. Too complicated. I don’t want to have to sign up. Remove that and charge a dollar.

Fasting companion. I do full extended fasts, and I’m always alone. This app is a personal cheerleader and companion during your fast. And you get to see that other people on this planet are fasting too—you’re not alone. You can tract your stats, even your mood and see your progress. This is huge for motivation. This app is a must have for anyone fasting. It makes a huge difference. One function I wish this app had was a pop up of the physiological milestones that occur during a fast, ie: Day 2 you are now suppressing the hormone Ghrelin and autophagy is commencing...something like that would be hugely motivating. And I’ve not seen it anywhere. Love this app.

Great app!. Love the UI - clean and beautiful. The only thing I wish this app had is a way to update mood directly from your Apple Watch or from the home screen widget. Currently it can only be updated by going into the app - a lot of steps for a basic action. Keep up the amazing work!

TERRIBLE UPDATE. The app is so confusing now to the point where it’s stressful to fast. Way to ruin something that was perfectly good and simple. I don’t even want to fast anymore because of this app.

It used to be free. Now. You have to pay to use it.. it used to be so simple

Difficult to use not useful. Very difficult to use. No help menu and no food plan integrated within the application.

NOT free!!. I’m not sure why they say it’s forever free when I’m being told that it’s free for 7 days then after it’s $92.99/year?!?!? No thank you! Avoid this app and it’s false advertising!!!!

how do u mess up so bad. this app actually used to be good. used to be so much better. now we have have to sign up, there are overly strict limits for your weight loss goal, and every time you start a new fast you get the same annoying popup for a subscription plan. if i didnt want it the last 1000 times why would i want it now? the LIFE fasting app is a much better alternative. i said what i said. this used to be a pretty good app and now its trash

Helpful for fasting and to know your fasting "windows". Pretty well done and simple

Love it! but where’s the iPad version?. This is an awesome app. It works first and foremost (does what you it’s supposed to do). The timer allows you to easily and conveniently stay on top of your fasts (even customizable ones). There is also a great learning tab chalked full of great articles from experts as well as summaries from Zero itself. All in all it’s simple, easy and works. That being said! If you’re someone like me, who is on their iPad far more than their phone, you will definitely desire an iPad version of the app. Nothing worse than using scaled iPhone apps on an iPad Pro 🤣!

The app is not working. I have paid $92 for this app and it won’t open.. I have paid $92 for this app and is won’t open and let me track my fast as of this new update. It just crashes. I’ve restated my phone and closed all my other apps. Not ok for an expensive app! This issue was resolved with a day or so, but an email sent to all users explaining that they knew there was a problem would be a good idea.

🥰. This is my favourite app for my TRF and prolonged fasting

To many plus features. This app has too many plus features, also plus is quiet expensive, like joining challenges shouldn’t be plus!

Zero Plus. They dont give a warning when the free trial ends and charged you the yearly plan

No editing?. We have to sign up now and we can’t edit fasts anymore. Going to look for a new app :(

App was nice and quick. WAS.. The basic functionality is still there. But the recent updates have added things like a splash screen which slows it down. All the new features bog down what I really want - just keep track of time. Gah.

I keep trying to recover but it always ends with re installing this app. Don’t get this if you’re struggling with an Ed.

Update sucks. Your updated app sucks! Money grabbers!

Fraud app. Do not use this app. It does not allow you to unsubscribe and it will automatically charge you the full $92 for a year. Don’t fall for it.

Previous app design better. Missing details on each fast, I’d like to be able to easily tell the time I started and ended previous fasts. This new design and requirement for an account has been a little less user friendly.

Explore function needs some work. I love everything about this app, except the way the explore tab works. The articles and videos are great but I can’t locate information very effectively. Regardless of the word I type in I always get the same handful of articles that come up, and I can’t locate earlier articles I’ve read unless I happened to bookmark them.

Good app. does the job but it would be cool if there was a chat room or something.

Zero fasting. This app is a Godsend for me and husband. Our son recommended it because he has used it for the past couple of years and he looks and feels fantastic. Now we know that feeling and it is wonderful!! There was not a bit of anxiety or discomfort for a single second. Once the mindset is there the rest is a song. Our biggest downfall was snacking in front of the tv at night Now I have my hot water with me at all times. And knowing I can snack during the day is a gift but I rarely do because It was never a habit in the past. So it is win win. And the most interesting thing was that when I got a hunger growl I just stopped and experienced it and found that it’s not as uncomfortable as I thought. I understand now that it’s my body shifting things around in there to my benefit! Holy cow!! I love this feeling of good health and looks!! Thank you Zero people!! ❤️👋

So expensive for premium. This app is honestly great. I love the interface and the free version is ok. I just wish I could customize the fast hours without premium. And the premium is WAY too expensive for what it is. $99 a year?

Bruh. Paying is mandatory

Better before upgrade. I agree with everyone else why did you have to go and ruin a good thing

Crap app. Used to work great. Now all functionality needs to be paid for. Useless

Subscription only beware. I registered and there is no free version you have to sign up for a trial with automatic renewing subscription. I will be deleting the app now. I do not recommend this app I’ll find something else. Too bad I was excited to try it but you are too greedy.

This used to be an excellent helpful app. I used to freaking ❤️ this app. I’ve done 99 weekly 34 hour fasts over 2 years and Zero used to show all the data. Recently Zero pulled the data and hid it behind a paywall. I could jump to another free fasting app like Fastic however I would lose the data I have here. Really disappointed Zero. I’ve turned a number of friends onto you and now I feel jilted. 😢

Disappointed and poor. I was really looking forward to using this app. I entered my current stats, goals, and was offered 2 plans. When I went to select a plan, I hit a paywall I couldn’t afford. Super bummed

account now required - deleted app. I’ve really liked the app until the latest update that requires an account and includes using my data for advertising. How about a privacy first, no account, no tracking version as an in-app purchase?

Money Grab! Next!. Don't waste your time. Skip this app charges you almost right away

The best fasting app!!. I love Zero!! It has been instrumental in my fasting success and the loss of 37lbs in 6 months. You can’t go wrong with Zero!!

This used to be a great app. I loved this app when it was clean and simple. Since the big update it doesn’t work well, gives me notifications to end or begin my fast that have nothing to do with my actual fasting times, and won’t save my fasts. Would change my rating if I could use the old version.

Disappointed. The app is costly and doesn’t allow you to see any zones without paying. It is the same as using a timer if your not paying for the subscription. It was good before even just being able to see the zones your in, but they’ve changed that. No difference between the app and your phone clock app. Looking for a new app

I love it especially the Apple Watch app 🥰. Love ❤️

Stopped working on my Apple Watch. Stopped working on Apple Watch

Was good, once. Hooray, unneeded update to add a pay version. Only reason I chose this app to start with was that it was simple.

Deleted after update. Used this app for over 2 years and now It requires to create an account in order to keep using the app. Deleted!

100% would recommend!!. This app is amazing! It’s well organized and it really helped me so far with my fasting and weight overall! Because of its organization, it’s been really easy to find what I need, like if I want to go on a 13 hour fast, just a click of a button and bam, it starts recording and setting the time. Along with some tips and answers that some might have on the “Learn” page, that really helped me find out what I’m not and what I am supposed to do while on a fast. This app also lets record down weight changes, moods, and reminders to keep track of how you’re doing and such which I find really helpful! Again, overall, I would definitely recommend this app for anyone who wants to lose weight by going on fast or just experiencing a fast.

Needs Improvement. I like the idea of the app and it has promise but there are two things that I have a critique on, first is that the app needs better iPad integration. It is a big pet peeve of mine when apps are available on the iPad but don’t support screen rotation. I use my iPad in a horizontal orientation more than vertical, and this app as well as many other large companies who for whatever reason don’t support screen rotation which means I’m stuck in vertical, which ultimately means I just won’t use it on my iPad. Second critique is actually less of an issue for me but if I’m going to pay, I’d like to get a bit more from it. That’s more of a business model issue, maybe integrating with Dr. Peter Attia’s website membership would make me feel like I’m getting more value added. All that to say, I like what Peter is doing and believe in this field of research.

Something Changed in The Last Few Days. So I’m new to IF and was so happy to have this app. It charts my fasts, my moods, my sleep, and gives badges when you hit certain goals. I’ve lost 1lbs since mid May, when I started IF. And for those starting out with IF, everyone who knows me knows I love food and I’m hungry all the time. . If I opened the fridge, something was coming out and going into my mouth. Second helpings at dinner was my norm (including rice and pasta). And my favorite bkfst was a bagel, sometimes with butter & cream cheese. I started slow with 16hr fasts and lie carbs and now I have built my self up to several 48 hr fasts a week. It has not been hard at all. (Truth—i may decide to have a bagel once I hit a certain weight, but who knows). I love this journey. Thank you Dr Fung, IF, and the Zero App.

I’ve lost over 50lbs since I started using Zero. I used to travel for work and found that I was having more and more days with no energy. I felt lethargic and out of shape. I like the foods that were already a part of my daily routine and didn’t want to significantly change my diet. I found Zero after listening to a podcast and hearing about how inefficient we’ve become at digestion as we eat in a larger and larger window of time. I downloaded and started timing my fasts. At first it was difficult to stop eating after dinner, but soon I saw a drop in weight and an increase in energy. I’ve been using the app for a couple years now and it’s been fantastic for me.

Nice But Needs More. I pay $10 a month for this app because I wanted to set up intermittent fasting as it works for me. The interface is nice and the app is easy to use. I have concerns about a few things: 1. I would like to see when you choose a plan, that you are able to customize it (I like 24 hour fast which I have to customize). I would like to see the availability of build your own plan. 2. I would like to see more features. I do this for weight loss and maintenance so it would be helpful to see more mindful exercises here like helping me to eat. It would be helpful to add a clock for helping to eat more mindfully. Lastly, 3. This app is a missed opportunity to incorporate sleep techniques, mindfulness, water tracking, food tracking all in one. Not worth $10 a month. I will be cancelling. I thought the coaching feature had real coaches.

Life changing habits. Dear Zero, Your app was introduced to me by my Republican friend Frankie Vertullo. Even though we are on opposite ends of the political spectrum I consider him one of my closest friends. We constantly argue and break each other’s chops but one thing we both agree on is that your Zero Fasting App WORKS! I always thank him and keep him updated on my progress and he always encourages me to keep going. I’ve now lost 45 lbs since October 15th, 2019 and my goal is to lose 35 more pounds and get to 165. I am taking it slowly and don’t want to yo-yo back so my goal date is September 2021. Thank you for reinforcing my habits every single day. I want to hit my goal weight so that hopefully I won’t have sleep apnea and will be Happy, Healthy and Peaceful for the rest of my life. Enjoy. Tom LoCascio

Eh. I really tried to think of a better title but it’s early o clock and I’m still a little tired. I’ve been using zero free version on and off for the last couple of years. I loved being able to log my fasts so much that I signed up for premium last month, thinking that it was going to give me more data/info through their meal tracking and being able to add in workouts, but I should’ve just kept the free version. The upgrade has been a total waste of time/money. The meal tracking on this app is prob the biggest disappointment because it only consists of taking a photo of my meal or listing what I ate, no breakdown of nutrition info anywhere, no way to keep up with how much of which nutrients and what not I’ve eaten, making this not as helpful for me as I would’ve liked. While the app itself is user friendly and aesthetically pleasing I am only giving zero 3 stars bc while the fasting portion is great, I do feel like the developers missed a huge opportunity to make this app something special by not putting more thought into the exercise and/or food tracking. Final thoughts: Even though I paid for the annual membership, after using the premium version for the last month, I’ve already decided to cancel and am on the hunt for a new tracker that will record my workouts and food intake in a more helpful way. Womp womp.

Weight Loss, Fountain of Youth, Clear Mind. What else can you ask for? This app was created people focused from 2 men. One with the idea of how to bring this idea to life and one with the savvy background of how to build and manage a successful application. The two together started on this endeavor to create what you see now. The flexibility of fasting times are a must for me, which this app has focused on. It’s all about options and how to incorporate a healthier lifestyle into your way of life. Some things to keep in mind: all diets are lifestyles and are not meant to be a short term fix for a long term problem. The concept of fasting goes back to our primordial days where food was scarce and people ate in binges- which goes to show that the body can withstand long periods of not eating and still maintain health. Recent studies have shown the health benefits of maintaining a regimen of fasting and I encourage you to read up on the articles that have been posted through this application. I also enjoy the fact that all the data syncs seamlessly into other health apps, like Apple Health. Other apps don’t have the capability to do that yet. In conclusion, if you want a healthier lifestyle, you can’t go wrong with the “Zero” app.

Greed.... This was an email I sent; it was never responded to: “Mr. Maser, I’m truly puzzled, shocked, disappointed and maybe even a little outraged at your email: “I think it’s important to provide resources like Zero Plus for those who need them. With that in mind, we’ll be rolling out a program next week for those who have been financially impacted by COVID-19. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. Don’t forget to update and open up your Zero app on May 19th to start your free trial. I can’t wait for you to unlock all the benefits of fasting with Zero Plus: Your Personal Fasting Coach.” Really???!!! You choose now to take advantage of people (all of us really) who have been impacted by this pandemic by dangling an “upgrade” carrot as a “free” trial only to later charge for it???!!! For various reasons many have been forced to look at the manner in which they eat; and I guess your company being aware of that figures that this is an optimal time for you to cash in on the misfortune of the world. That’s DISGUSTING and shame on you!!!! It is my sincere hope and prayer that the masses that have trusted your app put their money (what bit they are trying to hold on to) to better use (like trying to feed their family) rather than agreeing to engage your greedy “upgrade”! Not So Kind Regards, C.H.” I too used to really love this His app; I referred others to it; now it’s “buh-bye”!!!

Fantastic Fast. I love this fasting app and the amount of updates it gets. Here are a few things I wish for: 1. The ability to edit the ending time of the fast, without having to manually cancel it out and then restarting it with extra or decreased time on the end time. 2. The ability to manually enter dates for fasting statistics. The newest update added the week, month and year stats option, but it’s skewed as you can’t get stats just for the year of 2020 or for the whole month of let’s say February. It will give you results for the whole month of the day you are searching. So February 16 would be January 16-February 16th, that needs fixing. 3. More badges/challenges, and the ability to know what they are. For example January had two challenges but I wasn’t aware of them until they popped up at the end of the month. I love to be rewarded for fasting and it gets people engaged and it’s great fun to unlock and strive towards goals and get a cool badge in return. I jump back and forth between 68 and 92 hour fasts on a constant basis and open this app multiple times a day to keep myself grounded and staying proud in my fast. Just love the app. Keep up the great work.

Awesome for IF, keeps me on track. I love Zero, it’s become probably my most used app (other than social or navigation apps). It helps me stay on track with my fasts and the fast notifications motivate me to reach my fasting goal. I also like that I can link to AppleHealth and track my weight loss. The education section of the app is a nice feature as well - I like reading updated research and articles on fasting methodologies and tips/tricks for successful fasts. Intermittent fasting has worked more effectively for me than any diet/exercise regimen I’ve used in the past and the Zero app has played a big role in that. I have a long way to go to reach my health and weight goals but I am confident in my ability to reach them and I know Zero will help me on this journey.

New at Intermittent Fasting. When I say new, I mean, I’m currently making consistent habits with deliberate intention. I’m not a big breakfast person, but I love lunch and dinner. I started with the 20:4 fast for 5 days and now I’m doing 16+ 18 hour fasts this week. I’m using the free plan and I’m able to join a few challenges. I’ve logged my moods daily and recently finished a few challenges. I’m really proud of myself and soon I’ll try the paid membership. If the free plan was too restrictive, I proudly wouldn’t of had such a positive experience. I advise that you research: what to consume while fasting and the best foods for breaking a fast. This is app is a helpful tool, but I use others, it doesn’t stand alone. This a great place to start.

Very simple and effective fast tracking. Very easy to use which I love in an app. Shows you how long you have left down to the seconds, minutes and hours. Shows you how long it’s been since you last fasted. Keeps record of how you feel when you’re done with a fast, or you can simply skip that. Also if you break a fast early you can keep it recorded or delete that fast. Has a history of how many fasts you’ve done and if you reached the time goal for those fasts and how far you reached on those time goals. Very easy and fluid and beautiful interface. Easily the best fast tracking app that I’ve used. Also shows how many people are fasting at any current moment! 385k are fasting using the app today which is incredible. Thanks creators! Love this app

Amazing app. Helping me get healthier. I have one problem, night time snacking. This has been a huge roadblock for me in achieving my fitness goals. And nothing helped. I tried writing down motivational quotes to implement this, trying to be mindful about this, but ultimately I’d give in and eat that small chocolate square. But then one chocolate square isn’t enough, so I’d eat the entire chocolate. Regardless of failure in achieving goals, this is clearly unhealthy. Then one friend recommended this app. I started using it for circadian rhythm fasts. Which is more natural (eat dinner and then don’t eat anything for next 13 hours) to how I assume humans must’ve lived as hunter gatherers. The gamification of this has motivated me greatly and at the same time I’m also achieving my weight/health goals. Can not recommend this app enough.

Easiest and most basic tracker. The iOS app itself is great and I couldn’t imagine a more simple app. I personally love the UI and the color theme works very well and is appealing. The preset most commonly used fast times are a nice bonus for people to get started with and being able to add custom fast times are a no brainer The AppleWatch complications leave much to be desired. I originally downloaded this app because it’s one of the few that has a complication for the watch (making it easier to start/stop fasts). However, the complication is just a basic progress bar (no numbers) which makes it completely useless if you regularly fast and can just glance at the time gauge progress. I really hope they invest in better complications which would really make this app stand out amongst competitors

Super useful IF tracker and more. Update: The unwanted alerts are gone (thanks Zero team)! Now it seems there’s a bug with the widget, as of the most current update. I’m 9+ hours into a fast, but it’s still showing time since my last fast. I haven’t changed any settings. All I did was update the app. Previous: The functionality of the app is great. It’s stable and I can rely on it to do what I need — keep track of my fasts. I’ve been using it for a few years and haven’t had any issues…until recently. For whatever reason, I’ve started getting these iOS notifications—cheery messages that link to premium content. Thing is, the only alerts I have on are to remind me to start my fast and to tell me when my fast ends. I’ve thoroughly checked to be sure I wasn’t overlooking anything. I’m not. Instead, I’m being sent alerts I can’t control or turn off, unless I turn off all notifications. I also don’t have (or want) a premium account because it’s too expensive for what it is. Sending me multiple daily alerts that I can’t turn off, to content locked behind a paywall, feels like dark marketing and it’s very shady. Get it together Zero.

Pretty good but..... I like that I can start fasting and just keep the clock going (as I am doing extended fasting) but no matter how far I go, it’s not counting the days. I started a 96 hr fast last Saturday and when I broke it to eat, it showed all of the hours under Saturday. Like....why? It’s covering days, why not show that my goal is 24 hours and I completed x many days? If they can fix that, I will change this to 5 stars. I haven’t found any other free apps that will allow me to have an open clock on fasting and track it for me...so I do really like the premise for the app. I just wish it tracked the days as well as the hours. At first glance it looks like I did a long day Saturday and then ate until my next fast started on Wednesday- when I was fasting the whole time and only broke it to eat something in a 5 minute timeframe.

I am not colorblind, but color deficient. Please consider better contrasting colors on the fasting bar chart, as the goal and no goal are not optimal for those that are color deficient! Example- while red-green color blindness affects about 10-15% of male population, nearly 40% are affected by the middle mixture of the red-green spectrum, so this is how and why guys have problems with blends of colors, hence the request for better contrasting colors as I am unable to easily see met or not met on your bar chart unless I am in “perfect lighting conditions”, and even then, difficult!” Either that or draw a horizontal line across the screen for whether the line was crossed or not! Thanks- this will help with “re-motivation”!!

Used to be great, too busy now. I've been using this app for three years at least, and for the first couple years it was great! Chose a fast time, hit start, then hit end when I finished. Now, though, there's just so much going on in the app-health articles, 'pro plans' asking for money to unlock (optional, granted, but still) features, and it seems like every other update moves things around and hides the 'fasting' part of the app, burying it beneath the 'health tracking' part that asks for pro plans or tries to take you to a website outside of the app to read an article. It's unfortunate because the fasting part is still free, and works wonderfully, it just seems that the app is moving quickly towards a 'free to download, pay to use' format with its 'health tracking' part.

A cornerstone of my mindfulness practice. As an addict in recovery, a large part of my process has been developing my ability to connect with my body. Zero helped me with this and continues to. I'm not saying the app changes your life, but if you are looking to change your own life Zero can help you do so. If you find yourself impulsively eating or eating without intending to, this app can help you avoid that. I'm not an experienced faster or health expert by ANY means and it still works great and helps me out with any info I could want along the way. Developers: Please make a desktop application! It would be a helpful extension when it comes to planning fasts, particularly now with Zero Plus.

Some bugs I can’t figure out. I am not sure what’s up with the app, it has crashed when I enter my weight goal four times and this morning as I entered a meal it claimed there was no internet connect (incorrect) so I attempted to renter the meal. Each time I was told there was no connection but then the meal appeared three times on my dashboard. Now there is no way to delete it. I am trying out 4 different fasting tracker apps and this has been the buggiest. I’m giving them all a week. I will say that being able to track food without worrying about calories is great, you just pick the size meal you had and can add the composition if you’d like (keto, high carb, balanced, etc) but the free version is very sparse and there is no trial plus version, I can’t pay that much for something I can’t even see?

Loving this app!. This app is ALLLLMOST perfect. I love everything about it so far, especially the accountability aspect and fun factor. What I really, really wish were added features is being able to share your “break fast” meal with people who are fasting within the app, the ability to communicate with each other and being able to share or not share journal entries...All of which would help to motivate and help those that are struggling by being able to reach out to each other for added guidance, help with meal planning, recipe ideas, maybe even a way to keep up with your water intake. All to create a lasting fast community that will slow to get bored. I’d then give it “10” stars🤩. Keep up the good work. You’re doing awesome!

Summer is coming quick, y’all!. My boyfriend and I recently started intermittent fasting due to a some recent “quarantine pounds”. (Thanks bread!!) This app has helped keep both him and I accountable and motivated to achieve our individual goals! (Summer is coming quick, y’all!!) I love that it answers all of my questions and helps to give solutions to common misconceptions about fasting. (Who knew a multi vitamin gummie could end your fast?) It logs all sorts of nifty info that you can go back and see your progress! (Trust me when I say the option to see how many hours you have fasted is eye opening) I also super appreciate that it’s user friendly (hello, iPhone illiterate)... You just simply “Start Fast” and “ End Fast”. Overall great app! Have recommended it to a handful of friends.

Love this fasting app! Easy to use and understand. Really simple to use. extremely helpful timer with nice features like reminders and information readily available regarding fasting. I love that you can update the time , End fast early, or go past the fast goal, & edit the fast that your doing. I also like how it asks you how your feeling after you’ve ended your fast and you can use words or emojis or ones you can pick from - like determined hungry energized etc. it’s all tools to help encourage you—- whether you fast for 4 hours or 24 hours everyone’s fasting level is different and this allows room for success. You don’t feel discouraged at all and has you trying to do better next time!

Great, easy to use, and helpful. I’ve just started using this app. It is great. It game-ifies intermittent fasting. It sets goals, it tracks other things like sleep, weight, etc... there’s a journal function which is great. I hope they use that’s data to build stories, videos, informational material, etc... It tells you what your body is supposed to be doing during that time frame of fasting. Fat burning, anabolic, etc... I have the free version and still, it is very useful. They do not bait you into buying their product. Real honest and a huge plus for me. For future, perhaps we can chat with others as sort of a motivational tool. It would be nice to add a social component. Just a thought. But other than that, great app. Thank for caring about people’s health and well being.

stupid problems. It doesn’t log time data correctly and impossible to fix when wrong times get entered. Its lame for not giving you access to correct the errors. I don’t give a dann about the goals on the app, I know what my goals are, I just want to track what I actually did. It is most frustrating trying to get it to start a timer for starting a fast then stopping it start an eat window and track what you did wat and how you feel. Its great idea to want all those things, I’m paying an obscene amount if money to see those things, I just can’t get the freaking stupid app to submit the correct times nor does it allow you to correct the errors. I have a 23 hour eating window overlaping a 22 hour fast and can’t fix it. The video helps may be really informative and supportive but this dumb timer window ruins the whole use of it. What good is charts if they aren’t accurate?

Love Zero Plus. I’ve been using Zero for a little over a year now and, IMO, it is the gold standard of a simple & beautiful app that focuses on one thing (fasting) and did it extremely well (nice job dev + product teams). Prior to Zero Plus, I would use other sources for my information and use the app for my fasting tracker, but Zero Plus now makes it a one stop shop - a wealth of great & trustworthy information which adds a lot of depth to the experience — Dr. Peter Attika + the coach staff are excellent! I never heard of Dr Peter Attika before Zero Plus but I’m glad Zero partnered with him, he’s an excellent communicator and really helps educate and coach you through your fasting journey. I really enjoy Zero Plus and am glad I kept my subscription.

App is great but the update is 👎🏻. The app was so simple and user friendly until recently. Your update has made it unnecessarily more convoluted. People want simple interaction w/ their fasting app. Not a working relationship. Please consider simplifying it again. It should be visually “easy on the eyes” The app has helped me so much with accountability by the way. Ive been recommending it to everyone i discuss fasting with. Hoping the next update gets rid of the unnecessary frills. Thanks. Cont: wife and I just downloaded the fast-habit app and it’s features are what this app used to have... All of your recent negative reviews are echoing the same thing. I’ll even gladly pay the 2.99 to not have such an account and arduous working relationship with my fasting app

Simple fasting app with clean interface. I’ve enjoyed using this app over the past three weeks, though I’ve been fasting intermittently alongside keto since August with my wife. The interface is simple and doesn’t get in the way of what I want to do. The export feature is easy to use. The lastest update includes a disclaimer, which is a professional move by the publisher. Please read it carefully. Don’t attempt the 16-hour fasts without careful study and speaking with a health care professional. Much of the science behind fasting is positive, but certain conditions may complicate. My one recommendation on improvement would be to add a widget for quick glances at fasting progress rather than being forced to jump in and out of the full app. Perhaps this could be a feature requiring payment.

The one thing …. I enjoy using this app. It is one of the few apps that actually gives you the timer in a widget that you can put on your home screen which is very useful for me. All of the different features are wonderful and there is not much that I would change. However the one issue that I have is the timer. I travel for a living so I am constantly going in and out of time zones. I wish that the timer would remain constant rather than adjusting for the time zones. For example if I have one hour left and I am in the Central time zone and I fly to the East coast instantly my fast is done rather than still having an hour left. I wish that the timer was independent of the clock on the phone. Other than that I really enjoy using this app.

Zero. I’ve been using this app for less than three weeks. I’m doing very very well with it, but there are a few items I would like to see corrected number one I would like to see some method of being able to correct your hours slept. I made a mistake on mine and it log 31 hours and that was wrong, either modify the program to be able to modify the hours slept or at least leave a comment also there needs to be some way of modifying the time. The fasting started my fast started yesterday at 6:30 PM. I forgot to log to start until 830 so therefore I’m not getting credit for the extra two hours. Where can I modify this? Other than that this is a godsend for me I’m a type two diabetic and I’m still happy. I got this program.

Ruined by updates. I’ve had this app for years. It used to be perfect in its simplicity. The coach thing and all the paid enhancements didn’t bother me at first, because I continued to use it as a simple fasting tracker. Unfortunately, they didn’t stop there. The appearance was made worse, even the icon is worse, you have to dodge all the extra buttons scattered around just to use it normally. You know that feeling that the developer doesn’t use the app? I don’t remember if this app was free or paid all those years ago, but I would pay to have the old version back, while this one isn’t worth having even if they paid me. I’m now off to search “simple fasting tracker” on the App Store and see what I find. It’s a shame that apparently this degradation of perfectly good apps can’t be averted. By the way, most of the positive reviews talk about the habit of fasting, which is great, not about the app.

Great app, but basic. I’ve been using Zero for a couple of weeks now and it’s really helped me find my fasting flow. While the app is well designed and has a good experience, it’s a bit confusing as to how things are organized. I have a hard time finding things again. The features that exist are good but very limited functionality. The learning section is a bit frustrating as it doesn’t seem to recognize the videos I’ve watched, so I find myself scanning wondering if I watched something or not. Lastly, I’m a bit lost trying to read the content itself. It uses a lot of lingo that makes it confusing to read. I find that either the content is too simplistic or too complex. Giving 5 stars as I want this app to succeed!

Liked it at first, now I’m not sure. I really liked this app when I started using it last week. I like being able to track my progress with my fasting and it’s exciting to see that I make it each day. However, the app kicked me out today and I was unable to log back in. I thought I had signed in with my google account originally, but when I logged on that way, it signed me up for a new account. So I tried my regular email address I use for these types of things, and Supposedly I was putting my password in wrong, but I tried the reset password button several times, and it never worked. After messing with this for an hour and a half, I finally gave up and signed in again under the gmail so I could get the app working again. Sadly all my progress recorded is lost. :( if this happens again, I’m done with the app and re-rate at 1-star. Hopefully this was just a one time glitch.

Great app. This is an awesome app! It is easy to use and full of information. I have enjoyed using this app but have still tried others as well because Zero does not include a water tacker, hydration is so important during fasting! I really hope they add one. I have one more suggestion to the creators, it would feel more like a personal experience if you could control what charts were shown on your personal dashboard, for example I personally do not need to track my glucose so there are multiple charts on my dashboard that are unused and blank, it would feel more personal if you could go into a setting and tell it which charts you would like to turn on or off for your personal dashboard. That’s my suggestions to make it perfect, besides that, I am totally happy using this app!

Was great... The UI makes the app harder and annoying to use. It used to be super simple to start and stop a fast. It now takes scrolling to find how the little link to start a fast. It also no longer has the big timer reminding me how long it’s been since I stopped fasting. No more motivation; no more reminder that I missed a day. The new design makes it really easy to not even bother with using it anymore. Most of the daily utility is gone. Developer response makes no sense. There is no timer and the start button is off the main screen (you now have to scroll to get to the start button). I believe the developer response is based on the old (good) gui design. The new version does not have the features described in the response. Dropped a star because their the staff responding how old information or are being intentionally miss leavings. Either way, their response and claims are. Or correct.

Set alarms on your phone for free. I paid the 80 bucks for this app- hoping to get robust data. Needless to say- it has been a nagging timer. I really wish I could get my money back, but here we are. UPDATE: Zero can’t issue a refund- you have to try to arm-wrestle iTunes for a refund. Which they refuse to do, so save your money, as Zero legitimately CAN NOT issue refunds. UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: Yep. I sure did pay 80 bucks seven months ago, and over such time I realized that the app is a nagging timer. I decided to post a review when the app changed recently to even worse functionality. Folks need to know more information about annual subscriptions, and that is precisely why I took the time to place words here. I’m sure you’ll respond to this response with (yet) another ticket ID, but there really not a resolution at this point. As you can see from the other recent critical comments- the app is making people angry enough to write reviews- and respond to them. That’s all.

Helped me, Easy to use, Great UI/UX. Having used the app for a few months longer now. I stand by my original review. Keep coming with the updates and COVID fasting suggesting, very helpful! Highly enjoy using this app, better than manually trying to keep track of fasts. Also appreciate the integration of health data such as resting HR, sleep, weight logging to see how fasting may be affecting you holistically. Also the articles and advice are helpful and informative to newcomers or long time fasters alike. I hade been fortunate to physically see and feel the metabolic benefits via weight loss, fitting back into old clothes, and best of all feeling better and accomplished for developing a discipline to resist snacking. What I would like to see more of are: 1. Interactive fasting supplement check lists (there is a great coaching video on it, but an app based check list would make it easier to track) 2. More fast breaking meal or snack suggestions and in a consolidated area (a cook book/snack tab or whatever in app) 3. Community boards integrated in app Vice having to jump out into browser for boards

No— don’t pay for this, hun.. I had a free version in the span of late 2019-early 2020. When I re-downloaded the app and was forced to subscribe (spring 22) I was surprised, but was especially surprised to learn that those basic features now needed a “pro” account. I guess I am also supposed to think that the same Peter Attia articles and 5+ notifications per day (which I silenced completely when this app was free) make it worth the new subscription fee. No. The app is more or less a timer. It’s helpful for that reason— timing and reminding you of your fasts. But I can take 2 steps on my own to write out my own schedule and set up my own phone timers. There are also free apps for that and for fasting I am sure. I personally hate downloading apps all the time for things I can do on own, in my non robot way. I am a 33 year old dinosaur. Anyway, I don’t need to pay $70 for a glorified timer on my phone. I pay more than I should for my gym and classes, but that makes 100x more sense to me. I pay that because it works— the gym is not my computer or tv screen, and the classes are new and engaging. I cancelled this app and of course will not be refunded the fee, as my subscription expires in “April of 2023,” and that’s okay. I But 3 years ago when I was broke in grad school, this could have totally sunk me for a month. Won’t be recommending.

Needs some work. You can’t edit the eating window or add meals while fasting like you can during the fasting window. You can’t edit your meals or go back in time and add a meal it’s really frustrating. Also the macro slider is so obnoxious to use because it tries to even itself out and messes with the data you already put in there. So you have to keep going back and forth on each slider to try and get it all to stay at the right percentage. Obviously this feature must be new because it has a lot of issues and things missing. It would be nice for it to use the data from other fitness apps like my fitness pal and use that data in the app. I have my fitness pal linked but it doesn’t use the data so I still have to put my meals in. Otherwise I’ve just started using this app but it is buggy at times and hard to use.

Just amazing. I have never written an app review before. But the design and functionality of this app is so beautiful I just had to. I started intermittent fasting to try and change my relationship with food and eating. This app has done just that. Even on days that I don’t want to keep doing- seeing how many people are fasting at the same time as me- or that I’m already 75% through is so encouraging. I’ll check my streak, or the soft green that shows how many times I’ve made it through. Now- I barely think about it. I eat less, but I just think about food less. I’ve learned that so much of my eating was just boredom plus dehydration. And I’ve grown comfortable with not needing to feel uncomfortably full. This app is simply the best.

Tried and true.. Zero helped me lose all the pregnancy weight when I had my first child. Now, years later and after having more kids, I’m back on it and the weight is dropping off. It helps me to push myself to prolong my fasts without stressing out. I can do multi day fasts without worrying about food. Everytime I think about eating, I remember my timer is counting down and I have to push through to get to the end. The various challenges they have also makes it fun and competitive for me. The explore option allows me to learn more about what is happening on my body when I’m fasting. I love it. My next challenge is to get into deep Ketosis through multi-day fasting

Good fasting app, but dial back the pushing to subscribe. Guys - I’m a long time user of the app, and it works well as a fasting tracker, but over the last week you’ve shifted into *aggressively* trying to push me to upgrade to Zero Plus. Before I start my daily fasts I now get a pop-up advertising the paid service (which I’ve already tried, and didn’t find worth it); when I go to finish a fast, the Save button is now tiny next to the Upgrade to Zero Plus button (and they’ve changed positions, all seemingly in a visual attempt to get me to mis-press?). It’s egregious. You guys need to dial it back, or you’re just going to drive me (and probably other users) off the app altogether. Update: the recent update did fix the issue of constant pop-ups to upgrade to Zero Plus, which I appreciate.

Seriously motivating. LOVE this. It found me through another blood sugar monitor app I’m involved with and I CANT BELIEVE I DID NOT FIND THIS SOONER. What a great motivator. I just set my goal depending on my work schedule and it motivates me to push through habit eating and nibbling. Fasting isn’t hard when you work your way into it. When I hit the START, kitchen closed, I’m done eating. Period. I use to start the stopwatch on my phone but this makes it so easy. Like playing a game. I have found fasting and just using this like a challenge every day is the only thing that gets my weight needle moving and I’m just working my way up from simple 13 hour daily’s. I got the upgrade because I’m all in and I think the learning and coach are worth my health. Great great great.

Recommend for anyone. This app has helped me get my health on track. It makes it easy to track your progress and lets you know exactly which stage of the fast you are on with good information. I’m usually doing the 20:4 almost everyday except for the weekends that I socialize. Health benefits that I’ve noticed in three weeks include less bloating, less time spent on toilet, better skin, better sleep, weight loss, healed cracks on the soles of feet, and a shrinking cyst in my scalp. I’m not an expert but 20:4 promotes autophagy, which helps with the healing. I started this because my weight was approaching 260 and I know I need to manage it as I was starting to feel my health deteriorating. I’ve lost 10 pounds and plan on continuing with this app.

Back on Track. I have been gaining weight and I am heavier than I have ever been. Zero, reminding me to start a fast has helped me in that , even though I did not or could not fast, it was still possible for me. When I am fasting, I do not gain for sure and do lose weight. I like that Zero keeps track of my time, let’s you make notes about anything you want, such as goals, pitfalls, etc. I like to record my mood, weight and listen or read the motivational and informative speeches. They make me feel that I am not alone and helps me to stay in my fast and not quit. I do recommend Zero to everyone fasting and wanting to lose weight, get healthier, and be motivated.
