The app works fine but it has WAYYYYY to many adds! There are more adds than anime!
VRV is a subscription service for subscription services, surreptitiously reinventing the wheel with normal television. I find myself not hating what is essentially pay-per-channel TV, then hating myself for not hating what is essentially pay-per-channel TV. I believe the platform has the right model and is clearly a candidate for kicking off what will likely be the next chapter of video media... If they can stop the app from crashing LITTERALLY(as in the textbook definition of the term) every other minute. Otherwise they would have my full support. Cheers
I really only used the app to download Crunchyroll vids for later, which it does well enough. The problem for me was that even after I would delete a show, some data got left behind. I watched two seasons of a show and the app had grown to 600mb (with nothing downloaded) so I had to delete it and redownload it
I wouldn’t mind having the ads if they actually worked properly. What could I say that others already haven’t? I think I had one good day when the ads actually played. Sometimes the overlap can be a bit funny, but 90% of the ads are local. I miss the VRV ads, because using AdSense pretty much broke this app for me. I don’t have a lot of disposable income, which is why I could live with the ads if they actually worked.
The app generally works and i will continue to use it because it is the best option for me, but i would like to see bugs and functionality get fixed faster. I have poor cellular data signal at home so i download shows at work. When i get home and start to watch downloaded videos, the video will not start until i turn off my cellular antenna on my phone... then the episode starts playing immediately. Also sometimes when navigating seasons of an anime and selecting download on an episode, it will reset back to the first season. to download multiple episodes, i have to keep going back to the current season. This is particularly bad on sword art online. Also, we need the ability to change the download quality like youtube premium does. i can download a lot more and faster by setting the quality lower. Also episode watched meter across the bottom of episodes will not sync between devices. i want to be able to watch a video on my ipad, paise it half way(assuming i'm connected to internet, and then on my iPhone 2 days later pick up in the middle of the episode or at least see the watched meter so that i can manually skip to that area of the episode.
This happens for several shows I’m watching. I’ll see that the new episode is up but when I play it, it doesn’t play. It’s like it disappeared and even when I close the app and refresh it it still doesn’t work
Subscribed, however keep telling me to go premium. Had 10 episodes of anime downloaded for travel, however, none of them appeared to be working.
Please go back to how to old watch list was or at least give us a new tab with the update feed and the full watchlist.
I love this this app for watching my anime in HD. However, I truly hope that one day VRV gets a new feature which lets you get NOTIFIED whenever someone replies to your comment! Because if feel that it would start a lot of interesting conversations between fans. Please add this feature, guys.
So I've been using the vrv app for about a month or 2 now and I've loved it because there was a lot of shows and a little bit of ads but the new update caused the app to go from a 12+ to a 17+ and now the app won't open due to parental restrictions (yes I have restrictions) and I can't seem to open the app. Please make the app 12+ again. P.S. rated a 3 only because I can't log into the app otherwise would be 5
