LOVE IT, but one issue.. Now I don’t normally review apps, so you can know this is my honest opinion here. This app is absolutely life saving when it comes to looking for your favorite anime series. They usually have both Sub and Dub for most shows for your preference. I love this app but one issue with it, which is the adds(YOU CAN GET A FREE MONTH!). I totally get that VRV needs to keep the app running with money and I’m fine with the one to three adds per episode, but it’s that once you watch the add, it resets your current watch time to the begging. It just is really annoying to have to check when an add is coming up and memorize your video’s current time. If you don’t like that, the only way to fix it is to buy premium which is like 8.99 a month(which is pretty good for no adds). They also have premium only episodes which is really annoying. BUT DON’T GET ME WRONG! I love it! Easy to use with a search bar and everything! Once I bought premium it saved the whole experience. Overall a decent app.

It turned from a upgrade, to a downgrade!. Don’t think that just because of the title I dislike this app, VRV is pretty good at their job, and you’re able to watch most of crunchy roll without paying! But after the latest update, things have been going off the chain for me, in certain titles such as “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure”, the subtitles keep on disappearing and I have to refresh the app to get it to appear again! Not only that, whenever I tap on a episode, it will take me to another episode of another season! ( how did I went from a compliment to a complaint) Also I wanted to comment on the ads as well. I will tell the truth, I LOVED the old VRV ads, promoting other channels you can watch on there, especially “ Pear cider and cigarettes”! But now the ads seem so boring, ( I maybe the only person complaining about this ) but keep in mind that the skip ad button is pretty useful in some cases. ( kill me this sound so bad. ) Anyway that’s all I wanted to say, ( that rhymed Σ( ̄。 ̄ノ)ノ ) keep up the good work! -( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

VRV fix yourself. VRV has a lot of shows to choose from but I was trying to watch Dragon ball super and a couple other shows and most of the episodes are premium and I know crunchy roll owns VRV or something like that. And also I can’t even get through the first episode without it freezing around seven minutes I’m watching what I can on a internet site that is called 9anime because it doesn’t freeze all time while the site has troubles sometimes it popped in my head just download crunchyroll again because I can watch all anime without freezing and I can watch their selection of anime no need to get premium for VRV you need premium to watch something even if it’s a more mature show like AOT it’s not as bad as some anime but there is some good things about VRV I can watch a ok verity of anime and shows without premium like my one of my favorite shows blue exorcist or (An no exorcist) for people who like to call it my it’s Japanese name so until VRV makes itself better I’m sticking with crunchyroll and 9anime. Note VRV please add more shows like Tokyo ghoul

READ BEFORE YOU BUY. The only reason you should get vrv is if you want downloads. Crunchyroll premium is cheaper and works much better than vrv as vrv subtitles are out of sync and dont work right away and sometimes, don’t work at all. On downloads the subtitles are even worse not to mention some downloads will say they are finished downloading but will stop working half way through and the only was to fix this is by redownloading it which you cant do if you don’t have connection or you dont want to waste data (Which is why you download in the first place.) Also this app should let you choose what appears in your home because, some people just want to see anime or just want to see things they have access to and don’t need premium, without going to channels. After the fix I will change my rating to 5 stars as well as many others who want this change. Another addition that would be nice is a group subscription where up to 3 or 4 ppl could pay and have seperate accounts, so me and my friends could have a discounted vrv account and each have our own profile for downloads.

Lack of content. Been using the app for some time now, and at first I was satisfied. Moved from crunchyroll over, and was impressed by the line up at the time. But then as years passed, creators have been somewhat soft. I understand that there are limitations or boundaries, but why, and this is figurative speech, castrate artistic ability. There have been gems here and there that have been worthwhile and satisfying, but anime as whole should be limitless. It’s matter of escapism to tell stories, experiencing emotions, to create memories. Our opinions alone , are “our opinions”. They shouldn’t force a creator into a narrative they don’t want. People will agree or disagree, but in the end let not one person’s opinions be casted for everyone, but rather hear the collective of opinions from the actual people who go the mile to enjoy the content of the artist. I definitely see this app having potential if the people running it would not let their personal or political bias ruin it for the rest. ...Oh and some the functions for seasons of a series are not working (I.e One Punch Man). It says that it has three seasons, but only shows season one without being able to change it. Have yet to try on other viewing platform other than IOS, but an update or fix would be nice.

Downloads. Okay don’t get me wrong, this app is great. It has a lot of classic animes that most platforms don’t have such as all seasons of JoJo and even Nickelodeon shows. But the major issue I have is the downloads. I’m currently on the free trial and I felt this would be great as I would be able to watch a lot of amazing titles during the day. But there are two occurring issues that make this so annoying and frustrating. First off, the subtitles. They either don’t pop up, or have English which is very frustrating as I have to redownload them until it works. Secondly, why does it buffer? It’s downloaded right? So why does it buffer if I supposedly have it all downloaded? It annoys me as I either have to close the app and enter again and/or it just doesn’t load. I have to skip 10-30 seconds because that certain section does not load. And there are times where it pauses and it goes to black, unable to play the title. This is what’s holding me back from writing a 5 star review as downloading episodes is important for many people who don’t have easy access to internet and such. So please, do us a favor and fix this issue quickly.

Big Difference Paid vs Unpaid. I had the free trial run and though i was sad for the lack of dubs i did still enjoy much of the service. I liked the “pay for what you want” model since im really not interested in anything but the anime and a few vrv selects. However, when i stopped my premium subscription and went to the ad based model, everything changed. There are lots of ads (and almost alway the same 5 ads, which is itself a minor nuisance). But the number of ads isnt the issue the coding regarding ads is buggy. Sometimes ads will play over one another. Sometimes youll make it through the ad roll and watch 4 seconds of content before another ad comes on for no apparent reason. Sometimes the video youre watching resumes during the ad, you cant see your video but you can hear it. You also cant pause your video while this is happening because the ad is covering your video controls. If you attempt to touch the screen you’re redirected to the website associated with that ad. And worst of all is when an ad refuses to load, and covers tbe screen for 10+ minutes, and during that time your video restarts and you can hear the video but not see it and not control it, but this time the situation is worse because the problem is indefinitely long. All these problems have happened for me multiple times. So if youre willing to pay premium for the content that’s there, great, if not, dont do the free thing until they get their ad rolls ironed out.

Possible improvement. I like this app a lot because it combines everything an anime nerd like me needs. But I have thought of some possible improvements. I’m sure it’s hard to change these things but if it’s possible I think it will improve the quality. If the 30second reversal button was 15 seconds it would be a bit better and if there was ether a 15 second fast forward button as well and/or a skip intro like Netflix has. Also I would like a notification option for new episodes for my favorite shows. This way I don’t have to remember or look through the recommendations every time I’m trying to find my shows. Lastly I would like a change to the mature content. You have a button to allow for it I don’t know if it’s just me but even if I have it on allow I still get censored shows. And if I remember correctly I think I have to pay for premium to get it uncensored. (Btw I have premium)I was surprised to see this because you are paired with Funimation who has the same thing but it works fine. If you can do these improvements it would make my experience much better. Thanks

Decent app, needs work. I’ll start off by saying the quality of the content is great. It’s a massive bang for your buck because for $10, you get access to the entire Crunchyroll library as well as Rooster Teeth, HiDive, and others. Considering the regular CR subscription is $8, there is almost no reason not to get the $10 VRV subscription which has at least 3 times more content. Video quality is pretty good as well and I like how you can access the user comments section from the app, unlike CR. Now for the bad. The video player itself is weird to me. This might just be personal preference, but it feels cheap, kind of like the old Crunchyroll player. Second, you cannot sort shows by genre!! This is super annoying for me because sometimes I’m interested in a particular type of show, but you can’t search for that on VRV. You can only filter by network. Finally, some shows have different versions which are not clearly labeled. In my experience this only affects the HiDive content, but it’s weird to have two versions of the same show, same season, but not know what the difference is.

The good and bad. I’m normally one to never complain or do many of these reviews. So if your reading this then you can know this is my honest option. When I found VRV I was unsure what to think so I went and did the premium because I have been wanting the ability to download stuff videos I could see on the go. The no ads was a bonus. I have been using this app for about two weeks and have loved it. I found the app though a bit weird at first it was very geared to keep things separate and not throw everything into a pile to dig throw. It’s made finding some of my favorite anime’s and shows very easy. But being as I got this for the ability to download I for some reason being the bumbling dork I unknowingly found one big bug. Since I am on the move a lot with my blue tooth head phones find that every so often I am drawn phone is off in my pocket to un-pause it with my head phones pushing the button. Well if I do my Apple Music app turns on. And if I am to open my phone while VRV is on and I’m watching something I downloaded it will stop working all together I have tried just about everything so far the only way to fix it is to unload the app then re-download it I have tried to delete the shows and re-download them. That didn’t seem to work. So if you do get this app be aware of this so you don’t end up at the airport or on that road trip with nothing because Apple Music decided to turn on and break everything.

Where is VRV support???. I own iPhone X with OS 12.1.2 and installed VRV app version 1.19.0 My problem is I can’t log onto my account using the app. I keep getting the message “whoops check your inputs”. If I use a web page or any other device with my credentials such as a PS4 I can access my account. Yes I’m a premium member and have successfully linked my VRV premium with Crunchyroll. I know reviews are not a way to submit account problems, which leads me to write this review. How do I, a paying customer, reaches customer support. Where in the app is the e-mail address or telephone number. Something so simple should not be so difficult to find. I know that there is an option in the app that says “Need Help?”, but seriously, it’s just a bunch of FAQ. Where’s is the support? I have input my credentials both from saved keychain passwords and manually typed user and password with no success. I always get the error which says “whoops check your inputs”. Needless to say my review makes sense,1 star for an app that doesn’t work is a lot. 1 star for an app that a paying customer can’t get to work is a lot. Even if the bug gets fixed and I’m able to login again, please don’t just give me a bunch of FAQ if I need help.

It’s ok. I enjoy the content on this app, but sometimes it gets on my nerves and is extremely hard to watch anything at all. I personally do not use premium because I only get on every once in a while, but when I do it’s difficult to get the shows to start, and even if I can, the ads will most likely ruin it. Sometimes when I get ads, it plays the same thing four times in a row, never plays at all, plays over the show, suddenly pops up when it is in between ad breaks, plays two ads at a time, or shuts me out altogether. Even if I can get through the ads, I am usually met with more problems. For example, if it does not load an ad it might skip straight to the show, which might be good if it didn’t bug the app, and make it so that I can’t pause, rewind, or fast forward, or even get out of the show or use settings. Also sometimes i will finish ads and it will suddenly stop showing subtitles on subbed shows and/or randomly pause every few seconds. I have seen that premium works a lot better on the app, but you should make it more accessible and enjoyable for the people who do not have premium

Good but hard to use and lack of search tools. I’ve been liking my subscription so far (I am a premium member), however when it’s on mobile videos take forever to load and even then continues to buffer throughout the episode and I am constantly having to pause the video and wait,But on PS4 that is not a problem which is really confusing. Also, I have a lot of difficulty searching for specific and amazing genres that I like because the only searching tool there are based on channel or if you know the actual name of the anime searching for using the genre (I.e. action, romance, etc.) simply isn’t possible. By no means am I saying it is a bad service, however there are some real issues in its own usage as both a mobile and web service. P.s. I know the anime libraries consist mainly of subtitled animes, however a feature for sorting dubbed and subbed would be a nice quality of life feature as well as a channel sorting feature since the same show could be available among different channels and offered in different manners like an anime being subbed and dubbed on Hi-Dive but only subbed on CrunchyRoll

Pretty Good. As a premium user it’s great. A lot of anime and extra content that if I am interested in, I can watch. But it does need a UI update, one of the problems with VRV is the function of deleting anime/videos you don’t care to watch anymore off of your recently watched. It just stays there permanently and it becomes a nuisance as the video's pile up. Netflix has finally added the option to delete shows off your recently watched when you no longer the interest in the particular show, in turn they finally have less clutter. VRV still has this, I’m paying more than Netflix for less than ideal service. VRV seriously needs to add this function for users as it is annoyance that builds up over time. There’s also these small bugs where anime’s will disappear from your Watchlist and every time you add the particular anime back, it simply removes once again right in front of your eyes. The UI is absolutely atrocious and it needs work, I simply don’t understand where my money is going if they have these major UI and bugs that need to be ironed out. I recommend people simply don’t use this app as a terrible UI ruins a great experience.

A few changes if possible. First off I have been a crunchy roll premium account holder for a while and I loved it and was happy when vrv came out and switched and had no problems with that but one thing I have been relatively annoyed by is the video player inside the vrv app , on the pc it’s not such and issue but on phones it’s no where near as nice as he Crunchyroll player I think it needs to have the 10 second skip buttons but on a good not I like how it automatically plays when I come back to the app after leaving another app but something I think needs improvement is how the watchlist is organized if it was like Crunchyroll that would be great because it is much more aggravating to deal with than crunchy roll and there’s no history or anything just the continue watching section. Maybe it’s just me but I think there is some improvements to be made but otherwise I Love have all the anime I could watch at my fingertips and so bravo to you guys , hopefully my review will get through.........

Off line videos stoped working. I would of rated this 4stars then after last update all offline videos stopped working. This is a really good app. I believe VRV is making a real impact on watching anime and finally someone has brought the ability to download for off line use. The addition of iTunes subscription A+ idea It keeps everything simplistic. It has a lot of content, and browsing shows is really simplistic. The video player is ok and I've never had an issue with it. I understand licensing and why not all shows are available for off line viewing. Hopefully with more support this could get fixed. I pay for premium and will continue to do so to support your efforts There are a few little tweaks I would really like to see added to the app. 1. Delete and play next, having the option the delete the episode you just watched and move on to another. 2. A skip forward option, being able to skip ahead 30 Sec like skipping back. 3. Being able to sort through all shows by genres. Just my thoughts on what would make this app better.

Useless except for AirPlaying CrunchyRoll, but even that’s bad. The only reason I can see you wanting to use this is to airplay CrunchyRoll’s content without a premium subscription. Otherwise it’s just an exercise in struggling through a frustrating mess. You come to this app wanting to watch video but somehow the video play features (airplay or just watching on your phone) are non existent. The only thing you can do is pause and play and maybe fast forward without any precision by dragging your play tracker. There’s no skip ahead 15 sec, intro skip option, skip video to next ep, nor does it accurately remember where you last were watching if you stop. The ads are are insanely invasive during playback. I usually count upwards of 10 ads. AirPlay is even worse since it suffers from all that and it doesn’t seem compatible with anything lower than an Apple TV 4. Subtitles won’t show, video frequently freezes, or it’ll be stuck in a loop of playing a 4 sec segment of whatever you’re trying to watch. Overall, this is poorly made. If I were CrunchyRoll, I’d be embarrassed to have my name on this.

Sign up and login. Okay I generally like the app and I have never done one of these reviews but because I like the app I am ok so here’s the gist I am not very happy about the whole premium too download because that is what I was looking for in a anime app and the adds are also a really nuisance pretty much the same problems as the other people with that but the main and probably the only thing that sealed that I like this app I can use it on school Wi-Fi and I LOVE that but I can not sign up and when I do it says at the bottom of the screen in red “there is something wrong : (“ and I also tried to login to see if maybe it went through but it says the same thing and I don’t like it because l then have to search up for the anime and then I have to skip through the anime back to my spot and then it goes through the adds again and then it just freezes up at the app so can you please fix this please do the sign up thing first please please please PLEASE

Channels and subscription cost. I’ve been subbed to VRV since AT&T implemented the streaming service option of choice. At the time you had plenty of channels to view but now your streaming service has lost all of the channels initially offered. AT&T is now only offering HBO max so my subscription through them will be ending soon and I am having a hard time seeing why I should continue to pay for your streaming service when that time comes. Your lack of channels is the main reason for that. The user interface is great but without content I might as well just go to Crunchyroll. Will the subscription fee be assessed and lowered due to the lack of available content? Are there plans to bring in new content? I just even realized that Hi-Dive is now gone and they had some interesting titles available. I know Crunchyroll’s app isn’t all that great for the user interface but if all you have is Crunchyroll in your lineup I might as well just start using them. Your service is $10 and I could get theirs for $8 dollars. I hope you bring in new content or revise your subscription cost. At this time your service shouldn’t cost more than $5 for the premium service because lack of content.

The app vs the service. The app itself is a 5 star app. I noticed a lot of complaints about the ads. Now for those who are just complaining that they do three ads per break that's been Crunchyroll (the company that own vrv) thing forever. Now the ones complaining about how the ads work and the overlapping that's a legit complaint/problem that they should address but since I pay for no ads I've never had this issue. That's why I give the app 5 stars. Not my biggest and really only complaints deal with the service. I really would like for vrv to offer a yearly subscription model like they do for Crunchyroll and the other partnered subscription Funimation. It makes it so much easier the just pay $50-$60 once a year and get all the anime I want for the year. A lot of times I'll forget about the monthly renewal and spend the money on other bills or food before they charge me. So I'd really like to see that feature ASAP. Also I know it's not ALL vrv's fault but I wish the process of getting everything on Funimation over the vrv was quicker or at the very least like you can link your account to Crunchyroll or vice versa I feel like it should be an option to link you account to funimation. That way I don't average to pay for multiple services due to vrv not having all the content that is currently available on funimation.

Fix Ads and unpause and pause glitch.. Look im not the type of person to write reviews but whatever. So I have been looking i around to see what apps I could watch anime on and I found crunchyroll, and I started to look for animes and i tapped on an episode and not even a minute into it I already get at least 2 ads like its getting really annoying and i have been getting a-lot of ads like i can barely watch an episode without 10 ads on each episode. And another problem is that whenever i get an ad there is always another one but it hasn’t shown so when i think its over i just go back to try watching my show but then it just takes me to some random website. And after an ad is done now the episode is glitched and i keep pressing the unpause button but then it starts playing for two seconds and it pauses again, and I restart the app and it is still glitched. And now its just in an infinite loop where it unpauses the pauses. And sometimes its because there is an ad but it doesn’t show so when i try to watch it takes me to a website. So PLEASE fix the too many ads and the unpause and pause glitch.

Used to be Mediocre. This app worked well for me for a long time. The ads are irritating but when you look at the big picture it's essentially the same amount of commercial time as cable tv, and I actually pay money for that. App runs smoothly for the most part (occasional subtitle glitches can happen, just restart the app) BUT THEN FUNIMATION DECIDES TO UP AND LEAVE VRV. This is my biggest complaint about this app. I understand it was not VRV's fault, but there is now a massive gaping hole where funimation shows used to be. My list is filled with shows that say "0 episodes" and I can't remove them so I scroll through five to ten unwatchable series that I can't remove from my watchlist to find what I want. Some anime had shared rights with funimation (example: Overlord) where the entire first season has just been deleted but the second season remains, what's the point of only having the second season you ask? No clue. I understand this isn't VRV's fault, but ye bugs that came with funimation need to be fixed and fast because this once great app is becoming unusable from neglect and greed.

Great app, insane amount of bugs. I really like this app’s selection of anime, as well as it’s more moral business practice than other anime streaming platforms, and I really wanted to like the app, but between constant app crashes, downloads just not working a solid 70% of the time, and playback failures I simply cannot recommend it. If I download a season of anime an hour before I go to the gym, make sure everything says it’s downloaded but then I go offline try to watch the episode and it stops working half way through the op and for the next hour I have nothing to do. Even online when I browse through the admittedly expansive library when I try to add something to my watchlist the app crashes, I reload the app come back and it’s fine... until I add a different show to my watchlist and the same thing happens it’s super annoying that I can’t even browse the app without it breaking down. Say I manage to find a show to watch, I can’t download it or it won’t work, and I only just got it in my watchlist after having to reload and seemingly out of no where the loading sign comes up and the app crashes again. I mean seriously these are just bug fixes, with a product as good as this there is no reason to wreck it with these bugs, please please fix this TT

Very good, but needs some work.. So first off, I really love this app. I have the premium bundle, so I am not experiencing any of the advertisement related problems that I have been reading. Most of the time it works perfectly, although there are some bugs that I would like to talk about, mostly concerning the offline downloading function. For example, if I close the app after downloading videos, the content will not play at all when I re-open it, and it will only show a black screen. I’m not sure if it is supposed to do this, but it is very annoying. Also, when I downloaded some anime from Crunchyroll, when I wanted to watch it offline the subtitles didn’t appear for any of the episodes I had downloaded. These are the only problems I have experienced, other than some times where I have been logged out of my premium account unexpectedly. All in all, I still think this is a great app, and I find the premium bundle is worth the money. Definitely recommend it!

Problems with subtitles and ads. I've had this app for a few months now and I love it. I have access to so many shows even without premium, though if I tap on one of them there is a message that you can't tap out of and have to reload the app. My biggest issue has with the subtitles lately, they won't appear if someone's talking and I go into full screen, then disappear if I exit full screen. In addition, even without these issues, the subtitles are about half a second behind. The last thing is the ads. Don't get me wrong, compared to other places I've tried, these ads are to bad, in the sense that most can be skipped and the others are still relatively short, the problem is that they are not lined up where they should be. Like right now I'm watching Fairy Tail, and that has transitions from the show to commercials, but it will show both of those and even almost a minute of the show without subtitles before going to the ads, then haves the same problem with the subtitles. Sorry this was really long, but I do love this app and want to keep using it.

I would love to give it a chance. So my review of the app is more like a review of the homepage because that's as far as I have ever gotten. I have an iPhone XR running the latest version of iOS 12 and I have not ever been able to sign in on the app. I looked through the reviews and I found someone else with the same problem. Basically what happens is I'll input my email and password (just like I would on any other device) and as soon as I hit enter it says "whoops check your inputs". Now, I open Safari and go to the VRV website, input the exact same email and password (even go ahead and save it to my password keychain) and boom! login with no issues. I looked through the FAQ page trying to find a solution or a form to contact the developer but I haven't had any luck, just a bunch of useless FAQ irrelevant to my issue. The only remedy I've found is linking my VRV account to my Crunchyroll account so I can at least watch CR content on my phone, but it would be nice to have the full VRV app if I want to watch HarmonQuest or anything else that's not on Crunchyroll. As a paying customer for a while now, I would appreciate it if the developer would at least read this review in hopes that they might be able to rectify the problem... Otherwise what's the point of paying for the service if I can't even use the app. Might as well switch to Crunchyroll only and save a couple bucks.

ADS!!!. This App Is By Far The Worst, The Most Irritating, And The Most Glitchy Official App I’ve Ever Seen, And All Of That Has To Do With The Ads, The Ads Are So Broken, That They Break The Video Itself, First Off When It Reaches The Black Bars It Plays An Ad, But It Doesn’t Just Play One Ad, It Plays Three! And They Start To Overlap Each Other, For Example There Are Some Ads That You Have To Press To Start, But Then There Are The Ads Which You Just Have To Wait Until They Load And Start, The The 6 To 15 Second Ads You Have To Press, But The Ads That Show The Different Shows That They Have On This App, And That Wouldn’t Be A Problem If The Ads Didn’t Overlap, The Ads That You Have To Press Overlap With The Show Ads, Which Just Start On Their Own, And The Problem With That, Is That When You Press On The Pressable Ads It Pauses The Show Ads And Starts The Pressable Ads, And When They Finish The Show Ads Don’t Continue To Play, And When You Press On Them, They Redirect You To That Show, And When You Come Back To The Show That You Were Watching, It Either Shows Just A Black Screen, With The Audio Playing Still, Or It Either Shows The Video But It Doesn’t Play The Audio Or It Just Jumbles Up The Audio And Plays An Audio From A Completely Different Part Of The Show! So Please Fix This! Everything Else It Perfect But The Ads Just Ruin It! Sorry If This Long By The Way, I Just Wanted To Get My Opinion Out.

Great content, bafflingly buggy ad system. VRV brings some of the best shows and films to the table, particularly in terms of the deliciously obscure. But the feast is somewhat spoiled by its train wreck of an ad system. While the content VRV provides is worth sitting through a few ads, I’d really rather not watch the same ad 8 times in a row, or ads with nothing but static, laughter and ominous piano music, or ads that play simultaneously with each other or with the show. At one point I had the audio of two separate ads playing over the video of a third ad. All this combined with the fact that ad breaks are rather frequent (three scheduled in a half hour show, not bad compared to cable) and unpredictable (often cutting in with an ad and a half nowhere near the ad marker, and always leading with ads when you come back to an episode you put on hold). Ok well, I’ve gone on a little long about the negatives, but I really want to stress, I love this app! The offerings are just too good, and since paying for yet another subscription just isn’t in the budget, I’m still here, beating my head against the table. But to be honest? I don’t know how much more blunt force trauma my skull can take.

Very Upset. I usually never write reviews so please bear with me. So initially I actually really enjoyed VRV. I had watched Demon Slayer, The Promised Neverland, and Attack On Titan through it and was just starting My Hero Academia. I say all this to point out that not only had I watched a fair amount of stuff, but I also had an extensive list forming of what to watch next. I open the app for the first time in a week or two and my watch list says “failed to load, tap to retry.” So, I tapped, force closed, and eventually signed out to try and solve this issue. I log back in and see that my watchlist is completely empty. I was pretty peeved but I figured I’d just add them all back. Turns out The Promise Neverland is now exclusively premium (that’s fine, it’s from Hi-Dive and not Crunchyroll so I understand), but more importantly my list once again glitched out. So until they figure out what they’re doing, I’m not using VRV anymore. I want my lists to work and to be there so I know how far I am into a given series or what options I have. Also there’s no way to contact someone from VRV to get help with specific problems which I found frustrating.

Not too bad but, could go for an up date for the better. So to start off I don’t want to bag on this app it does have a great selection of shows, movies, etc. that you can browse through, and I would’ve gone to the support page to explain the situation there that I’m having but there’s no real way to let them know on it or in it for that matter so you basically have to come to the review page and hopefully they read these to figure out how they can better make that app for everyone so I’m really here just to let them know or let whoever cares and know that you’re missing the seven deadly sins series from Crunchyroll on this VRV app and probably a lot of other ones that don’t come to mind or haven’t looked up yet, and the application on my phone is where I started my Premium account but as I tried to use my premium account on my game console (PS4) it was making me get a premium account on my PlayStation 4 when I already have a one, so do I have to have separate premium accounts for every device I have or is that just a bug in the system? but all in all I really enjoyed this app, just those small minor things also “30 seconds forward” option wouldn’t hurt as well LOL

Great and then there was Darkness. I really enjoy this app. I was hearing awful things about the UI and whatnot, but after using it - it really isn’t so bad. Yeah it’s not on par with CR’s or Fun’s but it does its job and the servers haven’t crashed on me once... however, there is one problem I’m noticing... sometimes the ads don’t come up period. Sometimes I get audio in the back and sometimes I don’t and often times I have to just leave that episode and come back later to see if it will work. Spending over 1.5 hours to watch a 1 hour video because the ads don’t work is ridiculous. PS - speaking of ads - CR and Funi actually have just as much if not more with non premium accounts because their ads are typically longer. At least VRV’s ads are promoting their own series and or the other series VRV has licenses to constantly; I’m just waiting for them to actually have a link button rather than just lightly tapping the video on accident to get to the pages.

Almost impossible to use. It’s probably partially my fault that it’s working so horribly, because I have really awful wi-fi. But it should still be able to work at least relatively well for a streaming service, and it doesn’t. It feels like a game of Russian roulette trying to watch something. Sometimes the ads freeze, sometimes the show does, sometimes the audio cuts out for no reason. Sometimes nothing even loads at all! I can honestly say that I haven’t been able to watch a single thing without one of these issues occurring. It feels like I’m just waiting for something to go wrong, and so I can’t relax and watch my show. And I understand the need for ads to make money, but the ads seem to be needlessly excessive, and they load so horribly that sometimes I have to wait up to five minutes to get back to what I was watching, which compared to the length of the show is a REALLY long time! Sometimes the ad freezes and the show starts running behind it and I can’t pause it, so I have to reload the whole app. The only good thing I have to say about this app is that nothing in the shows are pixelated, and everything very clear and pleasing to the eye, which is the only reason I’m still using it. But overall, I’m very disappointed with this app.

Always a but. I love the app as it combines what would be many apps into one the subscription to premium if I remember it if not the same as my previous Crunchyroll maybe just a little more, but with the great benefits of coming with the additional sites. As well as what truly makes the app a must have, offline viewing as I don’t an internet provider and just pay a little more for unlimited data from my cellular provider. I sync using data, which is a little slower and when I’m at a location with WiFi let’s just say I stack up the GBs, well as much as I can due to storage limits. As for my but, I really only utilize the anime sites not the cartoon sites or sub par sci-fi’s. Not hating just never enjoyed them much any way. Hope to be able to one day no longer having visit kiss apps as they are sometimes unreliable in connection but many shows that I can’t watch on my premium accounts. Lastly I hope all shows will be getting on board for the option for offline viewing.

Very annoyed. This app use to be amazing as the Crunchyroll app it’s self never worked on my TV so I switched to VRV as it seemed to work a lot better up until now, it is truly frustrating. Every day I get logged out of my account saying “your session expired. you were automatically logged out” it has never happened and it hasn’t even been a fully day since I used the app and it logged me out and it’s hard typing a long email on my tv remote, and also when a series has multiple versions like sub and dub and even season 2 and movies it doesn’t give the full title so I literally have to play a guessing game most the times if it’s subbed or dubbed and even on my phone is does that not just my tv, I am extremely upset that Funimation is going away because Funimation will always be better and work better for my TV, I am very disappointed and speaking off the sun and dub thing I specific series that was on Crunchyroll has the series dubbed but when it came to the VRV app it wasn’t even there I went through 5 different episodes to find dubbed to only find out there isn’t a dubbed season on VRV and yet it’s on Crunchyroll (I’ll just be going to Funimation anyways)

Good 😊 but has some cons.. This is good I could have put this 5 stars but the ads are getting annoying yes you can buy it but what I meant is that they don’t put it where there are breaks in it they put it in middle of action or something. I have 2 suggestions reduce the ads my like 1-3 not 4-5. If not optional how about a add clip reduction. Also another one is that so far I or some of us probably hate a video around end of a season or new and only watch 1-3 and can’t watch any further unless get a subscription. I had to use another app just to watch of a good show I liked. But with all these me whining this is pretty good I like your anime shows you guys pick 😊. This has lots of potential just simmer it down or people won’t like the app much unless they have money of course 🤣. Well if your reading this good job and keep up the work 😊 👍

Great App For Anime And Cartoon Fans. Ignore the idiots complaining about the ads if you don’t want them pay the 4 dollars dollars a month like I did it’s worth it I have used this app for around 2 years now and although some channels have been removed like funimation, shudder, and nicksplat I’m not mad a app like this is bound to lose its rights to certain platforms I’m just glad I still have a place to watch anime using hidive and crunchyroll and now that crunchyroll is dubbing more I am even more happy to own this app it’s way easier to use than the normal crunchyroll app would recommend if you love anime and cartoons they have some great content here I hope they continue to update and keep this app up because it’s been a life saver for me I get early access to crunchyroll exclusives thanks to it and all the new anime that releases I’m super glad they still update new anime to this app and haven’t abandoned it some new channels would be cool but other than that 10/10 streaming service crunchyroll did a great job making this app.

Crunchyroll is better. The only reason I decided to get VRV was for the option to download your favorite shows. If you’re just going to watch anime, I would recommend Crunchyroll instead seeing as there are more shows and an easier to use interface. I don’t like the setup of VRV as much as Crunchyroll. It feels less polished and more confusing than it needs to be. I like being able to read comments on mobile, but that’s the only feature I actually like. It just feels clunky in general, to be honest both mobile Crunchyroll and VRV could use some work. I do NOT like the auto play feature and I don’t see why you can’t turn it off. I like to watch until the end and it’s annoying when I want to read comments or stop watching for a while and the next episode starts automatically. PLEASE make it so you can turn off this feature. Sorry for the long review. So, basically, if you’re only going to watch anime, I’d definitely recommend Crunchyroll or even Funimation for a better price and higher quality.

Cheap tricks. I was fine with the app even though the ads were kinda glitchy until i discovered something very cheap and greedy. Many of you have probably encountered this before, but i want to make it clear that ads are not the only problem. VRV is already making enough money by showing ads and people going premium, where people pay a monthly fee to remove ads. The thing that makes them look so greedy is that they wont let you watch every episode in a series unless you are premium. This is a big problem for me cause i am a big anime fan, and a lot of the animes i like are hard to find without having to pay for them. When i thought finally found something that would let me watch hunter x hunter and my hero academia, it limited the episodes I could watch forcing me to go premium if i wanted every episode in the series. I have not switched to premium and will not use VRV until they fix this. I get tempting people to go premium with the no ads, but this is self centered because all people want to do is watch their favorite shows, movies, cartoons, and animes.

The most frustrating app I've ever used. At first i really liked this app, the subtitles would glitch out sometimes and it was not much of a problem since it was an easy fix and i was able to watch some anime without using premium, but once i signed up for the free trial EVERYTHING went downhill from there. First of all the videos wouldn't play AT ALL, it would go completely blank or it would load forever and nothing would happen which is odd because that didn't happen very often without the free trial. I've tried everything to fix this problem such as signing out then back in, closing the app and reopening it, turning off wifi them getting back on, uninstalling the app and reinstalling the app, there's just no use. I've tried fixing this problem for nearly two hours and still no progress 😤 And now that i am signed up for the free trial i am very worried that I won't be able to cancel because the first time i went to their website it wouldn't load at all, and i would prefer that i am able to see that i am on a free trial in my settings and cancel it from there. I am not sure if i will be using this app anymore unless these problems are fixed. Thank you for listening.

Please change back the new update. I have been using VRV as a premium user for quite a while now and I am a fan of the service in general. I like the small additions you have made along the way, such as the 10s forward/rewind, the skip to next episode, and so on. Sometimes I run into some small inconveniences, like not being recognized as premium occasionally or the trickiness when I have to re log in. However the most recent update (1.20.0) changed the “My lists” section from a list of my queued shows to most recently watched episodes. I honestly can’t stand this; I prefer having the option to search through shows as opposed to episodes. With this new feature, it is harder for me to check for new episodes and I personally find it messier than usual. If you could please add this option back, perhaps with a filtering option for the my shows list, that would be a much more enjoyable experience. I don’t mind seeing what episodes are new or what I’ve just watched, but I like sorting through the list of shows.

Add a button to skip the ads and this might be only me but I’m facing animes not loading!. After having this app for 2-3 days, I would totally recommend it to any anime fan that has trouble finding an anime. But that doesn’t mean I will rate it 5 stars. There are two hiccups I face when using this app. The first, most troublesome and obvious problem is that there are WAY to many ads. Let’s say I’m watching an anime and then all of a sudden it pauses and when I click to play it, it takes me to safari because 1 of many ads pop up! This is very irritating because it just ruins the anime. The other problem is that sometimes (idk if it happens to anyone else), I will click on an anime and it will say that the anime I clicked on won’t load. I know it’s not because of the internet or WiFi because I have four bars and it never slows down. So please check the problems out and I will change my rating to 5 stars. Thank you for reading!

Numerous problems - what happened to this app? It used to be great. I have had numerous problems with the app. From it not recognizing I’m a premium member multiple times. Having to log out log back in and it says ‘’You’re already Premium’’ and still not playing videos because it’s considered ‘’Premium’’ but still doesn’t recognize the account. Now on top of that I am having issues to where I can’t download offline. It starts and waits then immediately fails. Offline viewing was a highlight of VRV. What is the point of paying for a service that doesn’t work or simply do what it is supposed to. On top of that I have a new issue where it won’t play the last episode uploaded. Whether it be a new episode for a series or last episode from a completed series, it will not load... I’ve tried everything. Signing out. Restart. Re-installing. I even reset my device and got the same, thing. I loved this app when I first got into it, but recently it has been nothing but headaches. They aren’t even aligned with Crunchyroll anymore and did not announce it, yet they announce all the ‘news and great’’ companies they are working with. Crunchyroll was on of the main reasons to have this app and at least as far as I am aware, Crunchyroll actually works. I am extremely disappointed from where this app was 2 years ago to where it is today. I am hoping to see some major improvement soon or I don’t see my subscription or this app lasting much longer.

Good but needs work. I can understand that you provide premium users with the benefit of not having to deal with ads, but in the case of free users, the ad system barely functions or at least in my case. I can’t even get started on how many problems the ads cause me. The developers marked specific parts of the progress bar to show when ads are supposed to be played but yet for some reason, I’ve been dealing with ads that play the moment I start to play a show or have been stopping the show constantly after passing a marked point just to deal with another parade of ads. Another annoying thing I’ve been dealing with is how two or more ads play at the same time. After going through that, I have not even able to make the screen respond. The play button or progress bar won’t show when I tap the screen. What’s even more annoying is that it forces me to restart the app and waste even more time rewatching ads before I can continue from where I left off. I won’t lie, this is a very good app but the way the ads play is just unacceptable. I really hope that the developers can fix this problem soon so that we free users don’t have to deal with such problems anymore. Thanks!

Fix your buggy app. I was eventually convinced that vrv had enough content that I wanted to watch that I could justify trying it. Then as soon as i start using it to watch harmon quest i run into no end of buds and annoyances. 1)every other episode I’ve gotten a point where only the audio plays and video turns into a black screen. 2)soo many ads I understand i can pay to remove them but still it’s excessive. 3) there is no variety in the ads that play I’ve watched the same 2 adds atleast 20 times each before Ive even gotten ti the end of the first season of my show. 4)reloading the app doesn’t even always fix the issues 5) sometimes you get stuck in an add loop where adds just keep playing over and over again and then when you reload the app it decides you need to watch even more ads before finally getting some content. 6) you cant get premium in app in any way shape or form. 7) in a single show ,i watched 7 episodes Out of those 7 episodes 3 of them experienced a straight up crash where my only option was a restart of the app to resume streaming. 8)no skip intro feature 9) the video skimming feature only works on rare occasions. 10)adds are not aligned with commercial breaks well and have killed a few great moments for me. More smaller things like the 30 second rewind instead of 10 and no skip forward button ect. Overall if you fix the bugs this gets 5 stars but as is it seems like it should still be in testing and qa not a fully public app.

not one of the better streaming apps out there. At least in my experience, this app is wonky and irritating to work with. Ads overlap and occasionally video will cut out with no warning or only play audio from the start. Ad breaks only sometimes line up with built-in commercial breaks, which is understandable, but very annoying, especially when a very loud ad starts playing unexpectedly. Buffering is relatively rare, which is nice on such high quality video, one of the plus sides to this app, though often instead of waiting to load, a video will downright crash, or just play audio and subtitles. I had less issues with the purely crunchyroll app for some reason, which makes it annoying to be forced to use this one for a lot of dubbed anime (I have poor vision and reading subtitles strains my eyes after a while) Skimming/skipping time on videos has a 50/50 chance of working perfectly fine or messing the whole video and app up. All in all, this app has some great functions, but restarting the app is much too common for this to be labeled successful.

Love the app but their are some problems. hi i don’t ever write reviews whether it’s good or bad but i really like the app and i want to continue to see its improvements so i’m writing down all the problems that i’ve had recently. i pay for premium and recently whenever i try to watch a show non of the episodes will load on my phone, and whenever i switch to watch on my tv with my fire stick the shows will load but the subtitles won’t show and even tho it gives the option on subtitles it still won’t show the subtitles. I hope you guys can fix this issue because i know i’m not the only one with this problem! please fix the issue that way i can enjoy my favorite shows that i pay to watch without any problems! thank you guys and keep up the good work! also it would be great if you guys put a genre section so we can choose the type of anime to watch in that genre.

There’s Problems. I love the app don’t get me wrong, it makes it free and fairly easy to watch a lot of the shows I want to watch, but it has some problems. One such problem is often when before an add, the show gets messed up, it won’t unpause unless you try for multiple times and after a while it gets upsetting. Also there’s way to many adds most of the time, I feel like I’m watching more adds than I am the actual show. The only way I’ve found to fix most of the problems is to just reload the app completely, which can set you back in the show to before you left off, and you’ll have to watch 2-3 adds again. Of course though, this app is something I do like, I can watch all the anime’s and other shows I’ve been wanting to watch without a payed subscription to anything. If you can, definitely try and get the payed version though, it’s got more improvements. But if you can’t then it still works just fine. 3/5, might recommend.

I love this app!!!. I love how they don’t force you too watch adds and interrupt your video you are watching and that if you want you can support them by purchasing premium but once again they don’t force you too. That’s what I love about this app unlike crunchyroll it interrupts you and you have to watch an add unless you purchase premium and the adds are super long! Like 90 seconds compiled of 3-4 adds. Vrv is just such an amazing app with almost every anime you can imagine sure they don’t have some under the radar anime but almost all of the anime you can think of they have!! This app is beyond amazing seriously. Once again they don’t force you to buy premium but it would be good too because they don’t force you too watch ads so they must be lacking in funds to keep it running and getting permission from the anime’s..

Bugs and stuff. It’s a fine app and it’s free so there is little to complain about as far as the app itself is concerned, but I’ve run into a persistent bug recently. Whenever I select an episode to watch the show will, after a few seconds, stop showing subtitles and sometimes freeze the video all together while the audio continues playing as well as making the app unresponsive to touch (I am on an iPhone 7) so I can’t pause/cancel/back out at all, and whenever I try to close the app or turn off my phone in order to restart it my phone will freeze in the process of closing the app again with the audio continuing to play in the background while my phone struggles to handle whatever the app is doing to it. Even still after my phone unfreezes and the app fully closes the audio STILL plays for several seconds even with the app closed! I probably wouldn’t notice or care that this was a bug if it didn’t disable subtitles and make the app completely unresponsive. Please fix this because I doubt I’ll continue using this app if the bug persists.

Major fatal flaw. The service is great, the app is great. It works as intended…. Until it doesn’t. I dealt with a minor bug for a long time. When watching offline content, if you leave the app open it will “lose” your progress on the episode. This is easily fixable by quitting the app and reopening it. The bigger issue I ran into is that I get randomly signed out. This will clear out all my downloaded episodes. Twice in one week I have had to log back into the app and redownload all my offline content. The first time it happened I lost over 100 episodes across 4 shows. I decided to lower it down to just one show but it happened again. This has happened to me a few other times, but now it’s starting to become a consistent issue that makes the app unusable to me. It doesn’t save your offline watch progress when online so I have to guess which episode to start downloading from if I haven’t been actively watching.

Some good, more bad. Ive never been interested in crunchyroll, because that site throws like 15 ads right into your face, but when i found this app, i could finally enjoy anime. This app is literally the worst functioning app ive ever seen. The episodes randomly start over, losing your progress in the episode while youre watching them, and then they turn off the subtitles, so the only option is to restart the episode. Another issue is the way this app handles ads. The screen turns black, probably loading the ad, but then if i resume the episode it paused, the anime keeps playing (skipping the ad). All videos do this constantly, and it is extremely frustrating to deal with when you just want to watch something. Despite how annoying and awful this app is to use, ill still keep using it because it has a ton of shows to watch for free, if you can get past all these hassles.

Awesome Content! Just Fumigate The Bugs. I agree with most other raters, the content is insane. It’s really cool to see so many different media groups band together to make a better platform for content. They all could operate independently, but it is nice to have one central app for all of it. It would be really untidy to clutter up my phone with so many apps. The content is done well, but the delivery is not executed so well. When I stream content on my phone or over Chromecast the options for CC are not always present, and other times the exact show and episode will display the function. I have no ability to dictate whether to display it or not. Also when Chromecasting the app does not let me pause/ or scrub through scenes. Also the app does not remember where I left off. I’m on the iPhone X if that helps you narrow down a solution.

too many ads and the same ads pretty good app though. Hello I like to watch anime on this but it’s really annoying that there are 9 ads a video each being 20-30 seconds long usually with NO skipping which is incredibly annoying if you shorten down the ads a little bit by like 3 a episode that would be fine you waste also another things I hate is that it’s always the same ad over and over again which is really annoying like at you’ve possibly made hundreds of thousands of dollars simply because of the amount of ads it wouldn’t hurt to take a percentage of that and make some other ads that are actually decent that suggest shows to watch or like those Nenderoid figurines that’s why I give it a 3 star but I love the app because there are a variety of anime’s/shows to watch like Harmon Quest or something like Dragon Ball

To many ads. I’m going to try to keep it short but I don’t pay for the premium subscription instead I use the free version of it with the ads but they just add way to many ads into a 20-30 min. Episode. For instance, you get 4 when you start, 4 in the middle of the episode, and 4 at the end. You also get 4 ads when you come back to watch the episode after taking a quick 5 to 10 minutes break and you sometimes get 4 more ads just after finishing the other 4 ads. Meaning that you can get anywhere from 12 ads to 20 ads or more depending on how many extra ads or breaks you take within a 20 -30 min. episode of an anime. So I wouldn’t recommend the free version of this app unless you have patience to watch all those ads. Ps. It used to not be this way when I first got this app and you used to be allowed to skip small ads too.

Would not recommend. At first I loved this app, it was awesome. But after a while it turned nasty. It had tons of anime but it got corrupted and it started adding tons of non anime stuff. Then they got rid of funimation and other companies and now half of the anime doesn’t exist on here. And they don’t even have top titles like seven deadly sins, one punch man, high school of the dead, the list goes on. It is now mostly a sad cartoon app with some anime. If you want anime, get just crunchy roll or funimation. And if you hate ads, this is not the app for you, you have to pay $10 a month if you don’t want to be interrupted 3 times in a 27 minute episode, and the ad breaks normally have 2-3 if the exact same add just over and over. Another thing is that it has a ton of major problems, it lags, videos overlay, super laggy at times, and it’ll even just kick you out of the app. And now the new anime stream coming thing, forces you to get premium to watch any of the anime they offer. I won’t bring up my rating and I definitely will tell others about how bad this app is.

My review for people looking to get the app and my requests for Crunchyroll ‘s app VRV. The app is good but it has a few problems. The first problem is that if you’re trying to watch something from funimation, you would be able to watch 1,2,3,4 or five episodes (if you’re lucky enough to find five or one or two episodes). But if you go to Crunchyroll you don’t have to buy premium access to more episodes, which basically means that all the episodes on Crunchyroll are free to use. I would also like if you could hold off on all the premium stuff; I get that you’re trying to support the creators and get more sponsorship but it would be a lot better if I could get access to a little more, and not have to having to pay for most of the other channels. And the ads are pretty much a problem for everyone who wants to watch their show without tuns of ads. Also I would like if you didn’t have to pay to watch episodes offline The good things about this app are the fact that you get to comment on episodes, and see what other people thought about the app as well. The other thing great about this app is that you can see a new episode the day it came out in japan. Hope you read my suggestions and my great qualities about your app! From Anime and Crunchyroll supporter!

Good and bad.🧐. This app is good i use it for watching anime but the only downside that i get is when I watch a whole series or episode it sometimes doesn’t say watch but I watched the whole entire episode and then I have to rewatch it like 3-5 times just so I can say watch I know I can just move on to the next episode but I just don’t like to and the amount of ads is good I like to watch this instead of crunchyroll so I recommend this app if you are trying to watch anime I have the premium version it is really good this app is amazing for anime except that it doesn’t have all the anime I want to watch but on the pros side I’d say it is a really good for anime because the ads are really good for me because I sometimes didn’t get ads before I got premium.

Ads are frustrating. 9 ads for every episode, if you get lucky with your pausing skills you will be able to skip 3 ads in a part of the episode. 9 ads is annoying to deal with, especially if they’re the same annoying, long, stupid ads that always appear. I can’t skip them if I already missed the chance to by pausing it, so, if I restart the app will the ad be removed? Answer: no, the ad will not be removed and will continue to play 3 ads again. Imagine getting into the good part of your anime episode and then it’s interrupted by an ad, how would you feel? Crunchyroll is a free anime app, but it has 12 ads.. kissanime is found by a google search it’s also free but without any ads. Not every anime will be on that app tho, hunterxhunter is not on kissanime which upsets me, so I’m left with this app. Hopefully VRV would be better in the future and play 1 ad each episode or even better, no ads. Well, goodnight imma finish the anime then go to sleep because it’s 5:52 am and I did an all-nighter😴🥱

bug not fixed. i really love vrv so much. i don't have premium but i've had vrv for a while and never had any issues until october. i am able to see recommendations, add stuff to my watchlist and i can even read comments. however, as soon as i try to watch something, it never loads... it will play the 3 ads, which i don't mind, but after that a black screen will show and will never load whatever it is i want to watch. as i mentioned before, i've had this problem since october. i figured it would be fixed soon enough so i stayed off for a while, but it's clear vrv still has not fixed this issue multiple people have had a for a while. please fix this!!! i prefer vrv over crunchyroll AND funimation so PLEASE do something about the loading issue!!

Good App, Still A Bit Buggy however. The overall app is amazing, and have various shows since it combines multiple apps in one such as crunchy roll and hi dive if your into anime. Premium is only 9.99$ and if you don’t want to pay you get about three ads an episode and can still watch majority of shows along with the newest releases but you do have a 1 episode gap for new releases if your a free to watch instead of having premium, which o find fair, how else would they let viewers watch it for free. However lately there has been a bug where you can’t rewind or an episode will suddenly stop and just load non-stop and not continuing. I hope they release a patch soon for this but I still find this app amazing.

Great viewing app. I read all the over reviews of the app and you can’t really fix stupid. It’s literally funimation and crunchyroll in one app that’ll cost less, to have premium for both apps combined, to be more beneficial for you. Offline viewing helps me out when I’m bored and finished at work since sprint is garbage and I have NO service whatsoever I just download my show(s) before work and I’m good to go once I’m there. The only thing I dislike is that there’s no fast forward option and only a 30 sec rewind button. The app in itself is great due to the vast variety and amounts of things you can watch, which I won’t be watching since I only watch anime. Vrv is a great app with sub/dub selection and they stay updated on weekly shows that weeb/otakus can go a week without seeing their show they’ve been waiting to watch.

please fix this. So this app is wonderful, some of my favorite anime’s are here, however it's quite difficult to enjoy your anime when a random ad pops up out of no where. Most of the time when an ad pops up, the anime that I’m watching and the ad, will play at the same time. Sometimes there will be multiple ads that pop up at the same time and glitch out the app and I wouldn’t be able to use it for a few minutes. Also it is very rare that the anime will stop when an ad comes up so I’m most likely not able to watch all of the anime. A suggestion I have is to take out the ads because it’s really annoying and very inconvenient. I also suggest that the maker of this app, takes some time to fix these glitches and maybe you wont need to take out the ads. So basically, it would be nice if they can take out the ads but if not i would suggest some major bug fixes.

Disappointing Progress. Been a Premium Sub for almost a year now, and very little has been progress has been made on this app. There still is no ability to discover/filter by genre. Personal page simply consists of ones watchlist on a side page that is so easy to forget about, I don’t even know what shows are saved to it half the time. There is no section for most watched shows/episodes for each provider, would help me discover new shows. Also, the lack of an Apple TV version of this app is severely limiting, since watching subs is hard enough on a tiny phone. Also AirPlay is screwed up now thanks to the “video enhancements” update that separated the CC/Subtitles from the video feed, so I only see the video on my TV while subs are displayed on the phone. Makes it almost pointless to have this anymore. Hope progress happens soon, or this’ll be one less subscriber.

Ad problems. I’m seeming to run into a rather similar issue as a few other reviews I’ve seen. The ads are breaking the overall functionality of the app itself. I downloaded the VRV app just about an hour ago and was trying to catch up the bravest warriors episodes that are exclusive to the service. But when it comes to the times when the ads play, and I don’t mind watching a few different ads to continue my watching experience for free, however it’s incredibly frustrating when multiple ads play at the same time and then cause the app itself to become non-functional. My overall first impressions of the app are that it’s decent streaming quality with very..VERY poor Ad integration. I may write a review in the future if the developers address this problem, but if I can’t watch my shows without basically being forced to pay them to take away the ads which are breaking the app to begin with...that’s just shady.

Buggy. Obviously the developers wouldn’t read this because well it’s humanity right? Anyways the fist problem is the Ads but it’s ok to have 6 ads just to watch anime in my opinion but the problem is sometimes the ad that was just playing gets overlap by another ad again and again until well? Until those 6 ads end as well as the first ad ends. But after that the anime plays right? Well after those overlap of the ads you can’t even pause the anime you’re watching and even put it on full screen how great! But there’s a solution in that problem I gotta restart the app again and of course gotta watch those ads again and hope not to get overlap by ads again and again because the developers gets moneys again and again if I get to restart to the app again woohoo! Anyhow this app is amazing if you decided to read this review and actually fix the issue that I’m having and even the others too!

Not Worth Paying. For the past 2 years of using the premium service, I have had to contact customer service, (or struggle on my own), multiple times because I was unable to access the premium benefits for no apparent reason. Most recently, for the past few months I have signed in and on the first screen it will say “Go Premium” as if VRV didn’t just charge my card $9.99 for that month. The website is the same, I’ve tried the “clear cache” method, deleted and re-downloaded app, signed out and back in, checked for updates, and still nothing. I can’t even access the premium benefits that will allow me to cancel the membership! It just says I have to pay for the upgrade so, apparently, I have nothing to cancel! Contacted customer service for the upteenth time, and I hope they do refunds, but I highly doubt it. *This is purely based on my own experience. I haven’t seen that many people with this issue, but it’s annoying as all heck when or if it does happen.

Ads and other problems. So I’ve been using this app for a long time and it’s really glitchy And sometimes it just boots you off the app and also Sometimes it just freezes and they have 3 ad breaks and every break has the SAME 3 ads so it’s annoying hearing the same thing over and over again but I got through with it. so I got tired of using the app and started using the website and since i had an adblocker I had a good time using the app no glitches on the website so however so the website is WAY better than the app but my ad blocker can tell me how many have would’ve popped up and it said 821 And I only Ben using it for a day A DAY and it said it had 821 ads I think that’s a little to much. But it understand it is troubling to get all of the lisceing and stuff and it cost a lot. But overall it’s a okay website and app

Well yes, but actually no.. The app itself is a “Golden experience” ;) but there are many issues. The one that happens to me the most often is the ads. The ads tend to have SO MANY BUGS. And if the app decides just to not load this one app I have to keep on exiting out of the app over and over again till it finally had enough and crashes. One of the glitches for the ads is that the video would play over the ad. So then you can still hear it, but you’re missing out on everything because you can’t see a thing. Next is that it has a tendency to give more ads then intended, it usually has three ad points, one at the start, middle, and end, but sometimes I’d get so many ads at each point, or I usually get more points with even MORE ads. I’d personally get premium but since I’m kind of on a budget here I’d rather not. But if you are really desperate I’d rather you get this instead of a Netflix subscription.

Good and bad. In most ways VRV is pretty great. It's free, the library of shows is great, subtitles are well done, pretty much everything is fine. The problem with VRV in its current state is the way ads are presented. Ads in blocks of three are cut into an episode seemingly at random. There are breaks in the API side where ads seem to be guaranteed to play, but they also play at other times with no warning. This isn't terrible in concept but every add starts with a cut to a black screen. So if the screen cuts to black and you click to show the progress bar and make sure the episode hasn't stopped, you're immediately taken out of the app to a separate ad on your browser. Worse yet when returning to the app you're taken to the page of whatever the ad was for and when you reload the episode you were watching originally it may skip randomly forward or backwards by a few seconds. If ads are fixed in the future, consider this a 5 star review.

Selection goes down, price does not. Over time, VRV has seen probably about 80% of its content or more removed due to channels leaving. The most recent of this would be HiDive. The whole point of VRV was to pay once for access to numerous sources of entertainment. How it was sold to me was access to CR content and HiDive, both of which offer different experiences. Then you had the added bonuses of the other channels. What’s left is just a shell. It’s almost not even worth paying for. I’m seriously debating on dropping VRV and paying for CR directly.... it was nice only paying once but now I need to pay for 3? I just don’t see it being cost effective anymore with the loss of HiDive. And of course, we get less and less content on VRV but the price doesn’t ever go down. I just really need to think about if I’m getting my money worth anymore... at a glance, it doesn’t seem like I am anymore.

Anime only? Meh. If you’re only in it for the anime like I am, then it’s an average experience. The UI looks cleaner (imo) than Crunchyroll’s, but Crumchyroll’s app has lists for recently updated, history, Queue, and by genre. But VRV does allow downloading episodes, has more/better support, and for users who want multiple channels, get more with a slight price increase. One STARK difference is cross platforming; Crunchyroll is pretty good on mobile, PC, and PS4, but on Xbox1... it’s basically unusable. But VRV does work on all the fore mentioned devices (haven’t tried PS4 yet) PLUS Xbox1, so it’s definitively better on that end. It’s a mixed bag, especially since you can’t transfer your Queue, but I switch between them often and can’t say one is overall definitely better. EDIT: I almost forgot! VRV has mobile Comments whereas Crunch does NOT. They both have it on PC, but if that makes or breaks an experience, keep that in mind.

Few drawbacks, great everything else. I finally got a part-time job last year and this was the very first subscription I paid into (brother-in-law recommended to me), so far it’s been fantastic, access to everything Crunchyroll, anything that doesn’t have just check HIDIVE and it probably has it, “because you watched” tab has led me to watch a few gems I would’ve missed, etc. a few drawbacks though: 1. Occasionally the app’s video player will bug and reset the player without subtitles on, still perfect video quality just the subs disappear for no reason, after a few tries or a few hours it fixes itself though so it’s not *that* bad. Also as one other guy said one time it bugged out and though I was not premium when I was indeed. Moral of the story: great player quality, barely buggy, great selection, good investment

Why do I have to deal with stuff. Hello I’m one of your user VrV when I first got you it use to be free the the episodes once I got off my hour break I liked to use your app but this thing now your making the old free episodes to members ship please I’m asking to make the old episodes back to free I would like that if your trying to earn one of your user trust like that I cannot ask more then this I would like this to be back on I liked the before now this after have sent me pain to see this you can’t have the trust back until you learn the pain I have been going though when I was sad I was watched yours anime it brings joy to my smile and sent good life back then now I can’t feel that joy no more because of this mess you made for me to stuffer I hope this wish come true I’m asking for hope VrV remember the good time now and before you have some user like me would like I trust you I have faith that you bring it back Sincerely your user Soira unknow Thank u VRV for looking at this mail :)

Delete comments. Helo I am I long time user of VRV and I love it I can watch a ton of my favorite anime (still waiting on kaguya sama season 2 btw) an is overall amazing app I love it I do have a few problems tho. One such problem is comments, now I love the comment feature I just wish I could delete my comments or edit them so I could fix a grammar mistake or delete something I realized was not something ok to say, and I know that there are quite a few comments people wish they could delete. Everything else is wonderful though I love the app. I also don’t know if this is a glitch or not but I can t find it watch season 1 of love live. That is all my problems thank you for your time.

There’s something wrong with my app. Today I’ve been watching random anime on vrv and when out of completely nowhere the app says that there’s something wrong and tap to retry and I did a lot of times then I restarted my phone twice already and it’s says upgrade to premium out of nowhere and when I go to channels it says go premium and that’s weird I had an account that been on vrv for almost two years and out of completely nowhere it says go premium and I’m like that’s weird the app never said that to me and when I go watch demon slayer (it’s a good anime in my opinion) it says couldn’t load anything in and I’m confused because I’m on WiFi and it works perfect and I have signal too so I’m confused why it’s saying that and it did a hard crash on me and I was wondering can you please fix this.(btw I have an iPhone XR with the latest update.)

1.21.1. All the early versions worked wonderfully however 1.21.1 has bugged my library where I can’t even watch shows anymore. I’ve tried contacting support and the app crashes. It’s just better if you use the crunchyroll website itself. Which brings me to my next point the bug isn’t fixable. I’ve tried reinstalling and installing again. I’ve tried offloading the app and it’s still bugged. They don’t even offer in app support the app just has a “suggestion box” with common problems. Which is just annoying because how do you offer an app that’s a live service and yet do not offer live support. That is just app development 101. Honestly if the bugs keep happening I’ll just end up using something like kiss anime or some other page. I mean the ads aren’t that bad it’s expected from a free service. However the bugs and crashes are just simply unacceptable. I wished they fixed these bugs in the near future or I’ll end up just searching for another platform to watch my series in.

Not a Bad App but missing something. Switched from Crunchyroll and RoosterTeeth Gold to VRV since it was a slight cost cutting thing I could do and get even more for my money. Now I absolutely love the Apple TV version of the app, but I have noticed that the iPhone version lacks something big (to me at least) that the Apple TV version has. That is things you have watched on your watchlist that are new pop up front and center so you can immediately continue watching a series easily and know when you have a new episode to watch. Crunchyroll has a rough version of this ability as well across all Apple devices, but it does not seem to be the same on VRV where I have to manually check everything on my watchlist that I think might have a new episode. It’s just an inconvenience that doesn’t exist on a different version of the same service and I don’t really understand why.

Playback issues, subtitle issues, & losing titles. I’ve been using VRV since launch, had a bigger selection of anime and reality tv if you wanted to call it that until funimation created their own streaming service and other companies abandoning the service itself. I feel like VRV needs to acquire more titles for itself to continue, right now it still has a decently sized portion of anime and other titles but not enough to keep me on the platform I really use it to keep up with a small handful of anime such as the current season of haikyuu and my hero but again as of late it’s been having issues with the playback restarting the stream at odd and inconvenient times during a viewing, and the subtitles turning off on their own. So I might switch to the funimation streaming service all together unless this is fixed and the library increases.

Fails to meet this Software Dev.’s Standards. For context, I’m a long time user of Crunchyroll and finally made the switch to VRV after the waves of in app advertising and promises of greener pastures. ## TL;DR Only use this app if they have something in their library you really want. Otherwise, just use Crunchyroll. ## HomePage Meh. - The design implementation provides noise with no value - The “suggestions” fail to impress, I’d rather have a feed of newly added episodes bubbles to the top - Why is my Watchlist buried? - If I’m following a show, why aren’t updates pushed to the top? - “continue watching” has been stuck on an old episode for weeks ## Queue There isn’t one. ## Watchlist I can’t help but expect this to function as a queue; it’s semantics imo. - Lacks progress visualization - Doesn’t port watch history or queue from crunchyroll (how is this not a thing?) - No sorting functionality; Default sorting is useless to me - Has a show cap (according to other reviewers) ## Show Page Why isn’t the newest episode floated to the top? You’re forcing Users to dig through screens to pick back up ## Ads I can’t speak for these since I paid for premium, but other reviews touch on this. —- Advice to the VRV: - Run more user tests - Read through these reviews and engage the user base - Prioritize organizational features - Steal features from CR, copy what made the platform popular - Hire me, I’d be happy to help

Meh. Almost did 2 stars, but figured I’d boost it to 3 since at least the app plays videos fairly consistently after navigating the maze. The organizations, or lack there of, actually makes my stomach churn. It feels almost as if they through a random number generator in to decide what shows would be on the home page. You would think after nearly 6 months of watching Boruto that I wouldn’t have to keep searching for it every Thursday. The streaming seems to be fairly hit or miss since nearly every episode I watch buffers at least once. I have very good and consistent internet, so it’s almost definitely not from my end. I pay for this so that I can support the shows that I enjoy, however may find myself on 3rd party sites to keep with shows as it’s too frustrating to deal with this app at times. In my opinion, you should really hire some of the 3rd party site web developers to help optimize your site. I appreciate the consolidation of various sites into one location. However, it’s frustrating that shows like Tokyo ghoul, from funimation, don’t show up here. And it seems that the execution just wasn’t/isn’t handled very well. Mostly unrelated to the app; I appreciate that at least the VRV website implements HTML5 while Crunchyroll is still using he horribly insecure flash player.

I have a problem with the Ads. I’m fine with the shows that I’m watching themselves, but when the ads play I have a problem. Anytime I get an ad from VRV advertising a show on their app, I’ll sometimes accidentally press it, and it redirects me to the show shown in the ad in the middle of the of the show I'm watching. I’ll have to rewatch multiple ads to get back to where I was in the episode I was watching. It’s a real bother to keep on having to watch more and more ads if a accidentally tap my screen. I have no idea why VRV has to redirect me to another show if I want to watch my show. And along with that, I can’t pause ads from VRV, so I have to turn off my phone to stop an ad, and when I do that the ad stops playing altogether. I’m fine with the shows on VRV, they run smoothly and I seldom have problems with quality, but I'm getting mad at this problem that hasn’t been fixed at all for the past year I’ve used VRV.

Good but ads. The app is good, but the ads are pretty bad. In the app when watching a video, it would show 3 marks. That should be where the ads should be, but instead the ads are any where. On a short video I got over 10 ads, and each ad had 3 ads. Also the ads aren’t even anime related, most of them aren’t anime related. I mean the only one I like is old spice ads, that some times played. And sometimes the same ads would play, over and over and over. And I’m just going crazy by the ad. I almost started pulling out my own hair. Also the ads are sometimes slow and buggy. so if you don’t want Any of this, buy premium. Also sometimes there would be a ad, and then 3 sec later there’s another. Or there’s a ad and then another and it would be 6 ads in one. Or you’ll be unlucky like me and, it will keep going. 3 ads, 3 secs, another 3 ads, 3 secs, another 3 ads, 3 secs, another etc.

What happened!!Spice up the app!!content!!. I have premium and I loved the app. But lately it seems like they slowly been taking off everything(content), and lack shows, they can’t even throw a good “throw back” anime movie at us. One thing that caught my eye before was that they had the old cartoon network shows on here and they even took that off and I felt like having the diverse set of shows was good. Like are they even looking at their competitors? Like for example I like sub but having dub is convenience at times and they barely have that. Soon if things doesn’t even change I’m just gonna take my premium off this, and find a different app that does the same thing this app does but have have way more content! I was really rooting for this app but it seems like they’re not trying at this point there’s way more better options.

Nothing will load. Ok how do I start this well every time you try to create a account it always say “something went wrong” I thought it was you know a delay and stuff so I got off of the app for a day then I tried again it still didn’t work I was like ok um maybe is that a lot of accounts are being made maybe that what made it happen to be slow so I skipped of making a account then I went and watched a anime I wanted to watch. Then the ads I’m cool with that you know it’s a Company so they have to make money some how. Then a few days later of using the app the ads broke so can I say this the ads won’t pop up and it will keep your screen at the loading screen and when you try to unpause it pause it and you try and try and try then a ad pops up and I was relieved then after those ads the anime won’t play this was like a month ago and you all still having these problems. Pls fix your app

Great App! But... (Issue fixed!). So many benefits to this app! Streaming from multiple services for 1 subscription fee! Holy cow it’s amazing, and it also has offline mode to download episodes! And here it is where my reason to give it a 3/5 stars comes. I downloaded 25 episodes of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, in hopes to watch it on my way to Mexico, since I don’t have internet service in Mexico. Everything worked just fine, until I realized that the subtitles were not showing up. It would be no issue with dubbed series, but for series that are in Japanese, for someone like me that does not understand Japanese, this is an issue. I hope they can fix this issue in the future, only then, I’ll give them 5 stars. (Update: they fixed the issue, now downloaded episodes have Subtitles. As promised 5 stars!)

Great but has small issues. So I gotta say I love this app but it has its issues like all apps. I would recommend this app even though it has those annoying glitches. Like I can’t see most of my watch later on the app and I have to actually check each show individually which is kinda annoy it would be easier if you had a schedule section for each channel or even today’s new episode area on each channel cause I think the what’s new on VRV to day section works but I feel like some shows aren’t there. Though you hav many strengths like your wide selections and lots of VRV only stuff that’s so interesting and things I would have never watched without the app so I give you that but once you fix the subtitles, the watchlist was easier to use and ways to see new episodes easier and faster. The app would be amazing if these small things were fixed.

Good and misunderstood. This app is good but a lot of people complain about the ads and yes it is a bit glitchy at times and yes aggravating but we have to remember that ads support the business that run it and it goes from maintenance to getting new shows for the people, and that’s why they have ads and if you think about it what’s the difference between tv and this, and that is the right to choose what you want to watch, so I think ads here and there are better than tv ads that you can’t skip in 10 seconds, besides premium is just another way of giving to them and they give back no ads because whether it is from ad revenue or premium they need the money to maintain the servers that hold it and pay there staff, so don’t judge the ads too harshly.

Sometimes useful. It’s really useful for downloading and watching shows on the go if you have premium. However, having premium is no guarantee you’ll be allowed to use the premium features on this app. For example, I’m sitting here on my lunchbreak typing this because, once again, VrV has decided to lock me out of premium features despite me having VrV premium. The first time this happened, I thought maybe it just didn’t renew but nope, it said I needed premium to watch something, I checked my account, it said my premium was active, then still didn’t let me watch the show. The first time I thought it was just a bug, now after it’s happened a few more times, it’s a feature. So, in conclusion, get this app if you enjoy paying for something and occasionally being locked out of the features you pay for for an indeterminate amount of time.

Please fix this bug + ads. I watch VRV on my phone (iPhone 7), and I wanted to watch VRV on my iPad (iPad 5th Generation) as well. I had VRV on this beforehand and decided to log into my account. For some reason, I didn’t let me log into my account on my iPad but it only allows me on my phone. It says something along the lines of “Uh Oh! Check your Inputs” or something like that. It really frustrates me because I’ve been trying to uninstall and install it numerous times, logging out and into my account through my phone, checking numerous times if everything I wrote is correct, and even googling it and going on the help page. So I just gave up but I’m still very frustrated. Please fix this, it would be greatly appreciated!! Another thing is the ads, after the ad ends, the screen turns black and is unresponsive but the audio of the ad still plays. I usually just turn my phone off and turn it back on, but it’s quite annoying. Please fix this issue!

I love it, but there’s this thing. Sorry if I misspell something, I type kinda fast. So, I’ll get to the part in which I don’t like, and there’s really not that much I don’t like. It’s just the ads, I get a little confused. I’ve always wondered if ads made an app make more money. I don’t mind one or two ads in a episode, but three ads three times in one episode of something? That’s a little much. Especially when they’re ads that you can skip. I mean 2 ads at least once or twice in an episode is perfect, I’ll accept that. But three to at least 3 to 4 times in an episode is a bit much. It’s also bad when there are a ton of different episodes to one season, having to go through all those ads would drive me insane. I’m not recommending you to get rid of them all, I’m just saying that it’d be nice to lower them a little.

3 complaints. So as far as the shows on VRV goes, they’re good but I have 3 complaints. First of all not all of the shows of some channels are there. For example I remember the original dragon ball and dragon ball z on funimation but when I try to find it here I can’t find it. Second I like having subtitles wether or not I’m watching sub or dub but I see that there is no option to turn on subtitles when watching dubs so if it can get added I’d like that. And my last complaint, and possibly the biggest, is that because I have premium I can download episodes and watch it offline but it’s as if it expires after a short period of time and it doesn’t let me watch my downloaded episodes and it comes up as an error. I don’t know if anyone else experiences this but it’s happened to me all the time. I like the app and I’ve used it as my main place to watch anime but if the last problem could get fixed I’d like that and love the app even more.

great app for watching anime. honestly i love this app and use it constantly and i have had both premium and non premium. They are both great and at first on the non premium the ads are a bit sloppy but they fix themselves and normally there are 3 ads per episode: one after the intro, one halfway through ,and one right at the end of the episode. I personally liked them because they were indicators of where to fast forward to. The premium is also good in my mind its ad free you get more access to dub and anime's that are restricted. You can also download episodes and watch them later and I have not experienced issues with it for the month that I have had it.

The ads are driving me crazy. I have a problem with how many ad breaks there are during a single video. Also one watching one of these breaks they usually end up playing the same advertisement 2-3 times in a row. This constant use of the same ad can drive anyone crazy and actually deters me from purchasing anything advertised. Also if you accidentally click on one of these ads or close the app they play even more adverts in response. There was one ad break that lasted about 10 minutes and replayed the same ads more the 6 times after I accidentally clicked on of their ads and was sent to a different page. This abundance of ads deters me whenever I use this app and does not encourage me to buy their premium service. I would much rather use a different streaming service than deal with this crap anymore. I will never purchase their premium service. I will most likely move to a different streaming service in the foreseeable future.

Good but oh good the glitches. I LOVE VRV but every time I try to use it some glitches get in the way it been like this for over a year but recently the worst glitch has made an appearance. As I am trying to watch some of the quality content on here the screen will go completely white and there is no way of undoing this besides closing and reopening the application but every time you resume something adds start playing I think I’ve seen over 30 to 40 ish adds in the last half an hour just from trying to watch one episode of fairy tail fix the glitches and this goes to 5* right away Edit from only a little latter I can no longer use the app anymore because of all the white screens I can only watch about 15 seconds at a time before I have to restart the app I’m moving my rating from3 to 2*

great concept, terrible service. I really love the idea of this app and the combination of others into one. What really annoys me, however, is that you have to go premium to watch certain episodes. It’s already frustrating enough that the commercials glitch stupidly and that it’s three commercials at once (I understand this has been common on Crunchyroll but it’s honestly a pain and unfair to the viewer). All I want as a viewer is to watch some good shows and relax. Also, it doesn’t help that when you try to get premium with the given notification on a video, you literally have to exit out of the app in order to do anything again. If you try to tap anywhere else while this notification is on screen, there’s no way you can even go to a website to get premium. The concept of this app is great, I absolutely love it. It’s just very frustrating when all you want to do is relax. Definitely not going to keep this app on my devices.

Not too good but the best available right now. I have to give credit to Crunchyroll for making an app like this. If any of you are thinking of getting this, let me give you my experience. I have been using this app for about 2 years now, and I have time and time again found that this is the best app to watch anime on. Pros: -good quality -lots of shows podcasts and anime to choose from -updated daily, able to watch the biggest anime’s without any problems -nice comment sections to see what others think lol -getting latest shows(not delayed, updated when actual show is released on tv) Cons: -ads are necessary but I wish they were a little shorter -multiple LONG ads at once, no variety either(if your going to show ads show something interesting or funny like GEICO ads please) -buffers every now and then and requires an app relaunch -can barely play at 1080p(decent amount of buffer) All in all I think this is a great app. You can get an even better experience with premium. It actually isn’t pricey and you can watch offline too so it’s even better. If you still don’t like this app then I suggest you just try it out anyway because this is the best app on right now. The actual Crunchyroll app is terrible and is barely keeping up. Funimation app is waaaaay worse. This app works well and is manageable.

Major bug along with one improvement needed for perfection. So the Apple TV app in the watchlist is showing some shows as unavailable but when those shows are searched for you can watch them that way. This is also happening on iOS devices as well but does not show the greyed out unavailable like the Apple TV does but you get the same result of search for show, go to show page and bang it works from there. I am deff happy with a lot of the new improvements I am seeing to the app since my last time exploring it. The only major thing missing at the moment in my opinion is custom watchlist sorting. What would be even better is to add a custom tagging system which could be the solution for custom sorting with your new way of doing things in the watchlist. I imagine if you can tag things as favorite it shouldn’t be to hard to implement a feature like that to allow you to filter things

good but one advertisement.... everything is pretty good about this app, good quality, wide range of variety of shows and a lot more. but one thing... one advert in particular freezes and glitches out causing it to be like 3 minutes longer. FOR ONE ADVERT...! its the vape ad where they show people how others combat vape addiction, and i think this ad is great, it shows the importance of yourself- listen... i don't care about what the message of the ad is, because i'm on board with it. its the fact that every time i encounter the ad it takes 3 minutes longer! i looked into it further, and apparently a lot of people have had this problem, i tested it with my friends, same thing... i love this app, but this ad is ruining every part of it. i have to close and reopen the app every time i come into "contact" with it. please dix this immediately, thank you.

Mass conglomerates go there separate ways. Have had this app for years (2016) like when Funimation, Crunchyroll, HiDive, Boomerang, NickToons we're all apart of this app. Still use it for most of my anime watch experience but will never forget those days. Was truly an outstanding app then and still like the interface now (especially for my PlayStation). But since every big streaming corporation loves to make that bottom line fux u subscribe/pay me, greed money doing their own platform, sayonara to those blissful times. Still thx VRV for always being a splendid service! If you could acquire some of the stuff like when you were at the pinnacle of the game I'd be all for it. Easier said than done, I know
