So excited!. I just got alarms and I figured it out and it is so easy to use I just need to figure out hour to change the morning challenges but again, I just got this app like, ten minutes ago, but you should DEFINETLY GET THIS if your having trouble with sleep there is even sleep sounds and you don’t even need premium to do so, I’m so excited to use this because I just started school but I’m not an early bird and I have to get up at 6:00 am and math is my first subject and I get i.s.s if I’m late so this really helps me get me awake especially since it doesn’t stop playing the noise until you go and start the challenges so it WAKES ME UP and I kinda do wish they had more choices for the noise but it the cheerful music is SO pretty I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT and it turns up your volume all the way up and even if you go to the control center if you try to turn it down, it will keep on Turing back up within a second and it won’t stop till you do the challenges the only thing I don’t love is that my noise when it turns all the way up and you could probably hear it in the basement form the third floor so YES if you have trouble getting up in the moring, THIS IS FOR YOU

I love it, only one problem. I’ve used this app for quite a long time now and I would love to continue using it. It’s just become... frustrating. I’m a heavy sleeper but this app had sounds and alarms that could wake me up in an instant, now no matter what I do either in the app or my phone settings all I get is a vibration. Kinda hard to wake up to that when I can’t even wake up to dubstep. Like I said I’ve used this app for a long time. Long enough they’ve given me free lifetime premium. These problems only started happening when I got my iPhone X. And for some reason it only makes sound if I look at it then quickly shut it off and close the app then reopen it and put the phone to sleep. Kinda defeats the purpose of the alarm if you can only hear it when you preform an exorcism on it. Don’t take this review with the idea that this app won’t work for you. I’m only writing this out to try to find some help(google returns nothing). This app works. It’s managed to wake me up at 5:30 am for work after barely being able to get up at 9:45 on time for old work. I swear by it and try to use it. It just seems like I need my phone unlocked with the app open for it to function for me. And again that may only be me having the problem. Any and all suggestions are absolutely welcome and encouraged, I really want to keep using this. That’s all. I’m done now. No TL;DR

Works but needs some fixes. Bug 1: Cannot submit a suggestion due to no keyboard access in free write section. Device thinks the grey prompt text is a read only section with ability to copy text upon tapping or selecting the free write area. 1. Choose “Feedback” from menu. 2. Choose “suggestion” radio button. 3. (No keyboard popup to type suggestion is immediate) Tap/select free write area to try to display keyboard only results in context menu to “copy text” which is the grey free write prompt. Additionally: My suggestion is to allow selection of news sources. Ex: Many of the articles displayed are from USA Today which requires a subscription to read more than the first few words of the article. Enable ability to select sources (multiple) so as to bypass those requiring subscriptions the user does not have or wish to have. Bug 2: Unable to submit text for bug report. There is no way to minimize the keyboard to be able to access the “Next” button. Even attempting to back out by tapping the “X” in the upper left corner, while it does back out of the keyboard so you can see the “next” button, a “leave without submitting” popup displays that returns the user back to the keyboard upon selecting “cancel.”

Forget you wanna snooze!. Before Alarmy I’d usually wake up with an alarm and immediately begin to analyze the pros and cons of staying out of bed vs snoozing. Or I’d wake up pondering the dream I was pulled out of feeling like it’s only common courtesy to go back to sleep and finish the dream. Both ended up with me back in bed quicker than you can say breakfast and coffee! Then I’d go and hate myself for sleeping in which killed my mood and kept me in bed even longer. Vicious cycle. With Alarmy I have math problems as the first alarm and they’re just enough to engage my analytical brain and begin to actually wake up enough to kill the incredible pull of the bed in the morning without making me think f this math crap. Second alarm follows 5 minutes after which requires a picture of my bathroom to turn off giving me just enough time to put on my workout clothes, make my bed, drink some water, and head to the bath to wash up. Very effective overall! I feel like the software processes could be simplified and I’ve had some weird glitches when my phone was on silent, but I’m no software engineer so maybe they’ve done everything possible with what Apple allows. Regardless, because of the consistent success I’ve had with Alarmy it’s definitely a 5/5 would recommend from me!

Alarm app that actually works. I don’t really write a review for an app, but this app is just amazing. At first, I set up the mission to shake the phone100 times and then to take a picture of something in the room 10 minutes later (because I knew I would not leave the bed after the shaking), but I ended up going back to bed after those missions. If you’re like me, I highly recommend to take a picture/scan whatever is in the bathroom, forcing yourself to take a shower. when your hair is wet, you wouldn’t want to go back to bed, and your mind becomes more clear after taking shower. It’s amazing how taking actual action makes everything easier than lying on a bed thinking about doing it dreadfully. You don’t have to be a morning person, but hitting snooze and waking up late despite of all the motivation I had at night was kind of unhealthy for me. it’s like a little failure that eats you up slowly because you’re basically starting your day with a small failure. I used to wake up and would think, “eh, i’m like that. I didn’t believe I would succeed anyway,” and all the planning for the day would go to trash. This app not only helped me to wake up on time, but made me think that even I could succeed at something small - and it becomes a momentum to do something I planned to do.

It doesn’t work like it used to.. This app was great when I first used it years ago. But now it doesn’t work. Something about the iOS restrictions: Alarmy is aware and released a statement and a workaround. The work around requires you to keep the app active in the background and you can’t use Do Not Disturb. Keeping it active in the background is cool but I receive calls and text from multiple time zones and my sleep would be interrupted if I didn’t use DND. If you follow the work arounds the alarm will work. But here’s the kicker. The best part of this app WAS how freaking persistent the tasks were. You really had to complete the task to disarm it. Or go crazy. There was no way around it. But not anymore, remember the alarm doesn’t work unless it’s active in the background. So if your alarm goes off at 5am and your super groggy and not in your right mind cuz you’re half asleep, and you quit the app instead of completing the task, it shuts the alarm off. Which means you don’t have to complete any of the task. Completing the task is what woke you up; they require brainpower and a certain level of consciousness. Before the iOS issues, if you quit the app the alarm would continue to go off until you completed the task. So now this app is just another basic alarm not unlike the one on your iPhone. So glad I didn’t pay for premium.

GET THIS!!. I had an alarm clock that kind of worked for me on and off for a few years now. I’m a fairly deep sleeper so I need a pretty loud alarm to wake me up. Some mornings my previous alarm would go off and it would be SO QUIET. I’d wake up wondering how I even heard it, but I was still getting up so I just stuck with it. Well, a few weeks ago I slept through my alarm and was late for work. After that I knew I had to do something because that was just a huge no for me. So I tried a few other apps, none were really what I was looking for, but then I found Alarmy. I LOVE THIS APP!! It is literally my go to alarm clock now. It’s going to sound so corny but I sleep peacefully now without having to worry that I’ll miss my alarm and be late for work again. I like how it’s loud enough plus you get a range of sounds to chose from AND you have the option to make yourself perform an action to shut your alarm off which is kind of genius because you’ve actually got to get up to do it. I’ve been waking up to math problems for weeks now 😂 I usually don’t write reviews either but I really do feel like I owe a review for this app. If you need an alarm please do yourself a favor and download this one now!!

Perfect. I don’t think I’ve ever written an app review in over a decade of iPhone use. This alarm is that good. I’m not exaggerating when I say that this app has changed my life. I have, on more than one occasion, slept through an alarm clock going off for 2 hours. When I was using the built-in iPhone alarm, I’d have to set 10-15 alarms to be sure I’d get up on time. With Alarmy, I set one backup and rarely ever do I need it. I even get up 3-4 hours earlier than I’ve ever managed to before. There are enough customizations available that you can easily switch things up when your groggy morning alter-ego starts to outsmart your current settings. I just bought the paid version, not because the adds are that annoying, but out of genuine appreciation for what this app has done for me. I like the barcode scanner and the picture mission. My first alarm makes me go to the kitchen to scan a barcode. Once I’m already there, it’s already lot harder to talk myself back into bed. If I do decide to “hit the snooze”, I take a cup of coffee back to bed with me and catch a few more winks, until my picture mission alarm goes off and sends me to my laptop to get to work. I’d give more than 5 stars if I could. If you are a terrible over-sleeper like I was, you have to try this.

An Alarm that Hasn’t Failed Me. I have a shifted sleep schedule, am very stubborn and so have difficulties waking up at a reasonable hour. It’s at the point that I’m able to get out of bed to silence a hidden alarm and go back to sleep. This is the first alarm I’ve had that I haven’t been able to silence in my sleep or just sleep through. It’s reliable, easy to use and offers plenty of customization even with the free version. I would not recommend this for people that wake up to a regular alarm because the point of this is to frustrate you into getting up, but it’s PERFECT for people like me that struggle. My only complaint is that the Math option is pretty unfeasible at the higher difficulties - multiplying two four digit numbers mentally and in the span of 30 seconds is a bit much to ask when I’m not half asleep. Even so, that’s a great choice for VERY stubborn sleepers like myself. It’s the perfect fallback as long as you’re ok cursing at an angry alarm. Just be sure to increase the time to solve before it resets. I would also advise against using vibration or a peaceful alarm that wouldn’t scare you awake. The alarm is VERY insistent and if it’s not something that would immediately jolt me awake, I’ve noticed it working into my dreams and making some pretty awful nightmares.

Not a gimmick. I was desperate to get back to a normal sleep schedule and nothing was doing it. I stayed up way too late and had to set like 10 alarms each a minute apart and still I would manage to turn them all off in my sleep and wake up late for work. This is the first morning I used this app and it definitely worked. I set it to picture mode so I had to get out of bed and sure enough it got me out of bed. There’s a few feature you have to pay for but the picture-turn-off feature is free and that’s all that matters. I set the alarm sound to the classic digital beep and it’s super annoying and did the trick. Wow. It’s not often you can get an app anymore that works well, doesn’t have ads, and has great content for free but this thing delivers and quite literally is saving my career. 10/10 recommend. The only thing is you have to pay for the “wake up check it” that makes sure you didn’t go back to bed but if you have to take a picture of your sink you turn the alarm off; then all you have to do is fight the urge to lay back down after you up. Still, even not having that one feature, this is a five star app.

Fell down the stairs and got out of work. This app is amazing! I set it up so I had to take a picture in order to stop the alarm. I figured I’d give a big middle finger to morning me and make myself go downstairs to take a picture of the coffee maker in order for the alarm to stop. Smart idea right? Then I can just turn on the coffee maker and get my day started. Well the alarm started going off and for some reason I chose the siren at full blast so I went full panic mode. My wife started yelling at me to turn it off and my baby in the next room over woke up and started crying. In my frantic half asleep panic I jumped out of bed faster than I have in years. I started rushing downstairs and ended up slipping and falling down the last 10 or so stairs and busting my nose on the railing. No time for self care. Gotta snap a pic of coffee maker. I finally get the picture and turn off the deafening alarm to find my face and shirt covered in blood. I figured I’d take a pic of that as well and text it to my boss. She said to take the day off so I washed up and went back to bed. The results were better than I ever could have dreamed. Here’s to hoping it works just as well tomorrow! Thanks for an amazing app

It helps but I’m just a little confused. So I downloaded this app yesterday! When I got it I enjoyed the intro and steps with alamry. It asked me if I wanted to change sleeping habits, get up on time, And stuff like that so I chose wake up earlier. And after I was setting my whole account up. I realized your not aloud to choose different goals. I wanted to also choose habits because the options on Alarmy are super good.. but this is not the only problem I struggled to understand.. I didn’t understand why there was a premium Alarmy for 60 dollars. Especially because it’s a alarm. I don’t think they should have a premium pass to ask if your awake a second time. I feel that everything on alamry should be free, or if it’s really going to be 60 dollars it should be permanently not just a year because I might forget about the app and it’s just charging my card. but 60 dollars is a crazy lot of money for app on your phone. BUT on the bright side I didn’t struggle to wake up with this app, it really helped me open my eyes and be ready for the day. Which I lm super surprised about because I don’t usually wake up till like 1pm but i will continue to love and use this app.

Wouldn’t stop. Update after 3 weeks of use: I switched from photo to scanning a barcode of something in the kitchen and that has been more effective. I’m taking off one star only because you cannot use the phones flashlight while the barcode scanner is open, meaning I have to find a light source. Rather than blind myself with the bright kitchen lights, I grab the salt and hunch down next to the little night light by the cat food to get it to work. Other apps with barcode scanners have a way to turn your light on - that would be really useful at 5am. And yet, for the FIRST time in my 30 years, I am up on time every single day. Original review: I set this to take a photo of my coffee pot. Alarm went off as expected (extremely loudly I may add, as I fumbled with my phone trying o silence it while running from the bedroom so as to not wake up my husband). I get downstairs and take a photo of the coffee pot. Photo doesn’t match. Tried again. Photo doesn’t match. Tried at least 10 times. Lined it up as perfectly as I could. Doesn’t match doesn’t match doesn’t match. I quit the app, alarm wouldn’t stop. I turned off my phone but when I turned it back on the alarm just kept going. I ultimately made it stop by deleting the app but I feel like if I redownload it will start going again. There really needs to be some kind of “emergency shutoff.” On the plus side, I’m definitely awake.

The only alarm that has ever worked for me. I am so lucky to have found out about Alarmy. I am an extremely deep sleeper, and with my other alarms I haven’t been able to hear them or have turned them off without realizing it when I am half asleep. I got so used to the sound of my alarms that I stopped even waking up from them too. I was having extreme issues waking up in time for classes and appointments, but after downloading Alarmy my whole life changed. I have been able to actually make it to my appointments and classes which is a miracle. I really like the math setting on alarmy, because by the third problem I am awake enough to stop myself from falling back asleep. My math has improved so much too which is an added benefit. My only complaint is that sometimes I like to fall asleep with my headphones in but when the alarm goes off it only goes off through the headphones rather than out loud. Usually by the time I wake up, my headphones have fallen out, so I can’t hear the alarm. Other than that this app is amazing. I have gotten many of my friends into it, and while I have never written a review before alarmy it has affected my life so much that I felt I had to share my experience.

Perfect. My whole life, every time I went to bed, my mom would say “set an alarm so I don’t have to come and get you up!” So I would just set the normal Apple alarm, (3 or 4 of them) and totally sleep through them. I never even remembered turning them off! My mom would have to come upstairs and turn on my light every morning. So things really had to change when I came to college, where my mom was not just a floor away. I’ve definitely missed many a morning class, until one Christmas break when I complained about my problem to my sister, and she showed me Alarmy! It really is perfect. My favorite alarm (as favorite as an alarm can be... I still don’t like waking up in the morning) is the barcode scanner. You can choose literally any barcode on any object you own, and set your alarm to not turn off until you’ve scanned that barcode. I use the candle on my desk so that it forces me to get out of bed. Works like a charm, although it might be useful to have something to scan in another room, so I can’t just stumble back into bed. That’s on me. The best part is, I looked for something like this years ago, but had to pay for it. Being an unemployed teen, I had no income, so no way was I gonna shell out a whole dollar for an app. That’s what hooked me on Alarmy... I got to try it out (and use it forever) for free. It’s all the quality you could want without the price tag. You really won’t be disappointed.

Works pretty well until it doesn’t. I’ve had the app for months and months now, and other than the issue where alarms don’t go off if you close the app, I really liked the alarms. I made sure the app was open and all was fine… until the last several days. For whatever reason, my alarms no longer had the option to be turned off. They would go off as usual, and when I opened the app (to answer my 3 math questions) the app was mostly blank with a white box. The alarm had then gotten so loud my entire house was waking up, so I was trying everything at this point. I tapped everything on the screen, used my volume buttons on the side of my phone, closed the app, turned my screen off, etc. and the alarm would NOT turn off. Then another alarm would go off at the same time, and another, and another, until I had multiple alarmy alarms traumatizing an entire household. I opened and closed the app so many times and it was still completely blank (showing no alarms at all) and didn’t let me tap anything. I even deleted the app and it still continued. After deleting the app and restarting my phone, they finally stopped. I figured it was a weird abnormal occurrence and would never happen again so I redownloaded the app and surprise surprise, it happened again today. If this sounds like a problem that would be overwhelming to you, I wouldn’t suggest downloading this app.

Only alarm I use// EDIT: HARD OF HEARING. I am a very deep sleeper with morning classes. I have trouble waking up in the mornings and will often reset or turn off alarms completely without being aware of what I’m doing. The variety of the options helps wake me in the morning, I start usually with a shake alarm, then a math one, then finally a barcode I scanned somewhere in the kitchen. It forces me to wake up at the math alarm because I am terrible with math, but the added benefit is my math skills are getting strong because I keep having to up the difficulty. Thanks so much, you’ve made my professors hate me significantly less since I can almost now make it to class on time. EDIT/UPDATE: I had my hearing checked six months ago and found out from a doctor I have Hearing Loss. (Mild/Moderate but still significant for not knowing till age 26) Since getting my hearing aids my life has changed in so many ways I couldn’t have imagined, there’s so much sound to hear! It’s shocking to me, but makes sense, but also is just so wild to hear; it’s changed my life. But it has also made sense why this alarm is the ONLY alarm I can trust to wake me up fully since I now know sound alone is unreliable, I need mental engagement and stimulation to wake up fully without causing more damage to my tender little ears. It’s made me just appreciate this alarm more and more as it’s the only one of its kind I can seem to find.

Issues with picture alarm. Overall, the app is good for using as a general alarm but I don’t recommend using the photo option. I’ve been using this app for about a month now and haven’t had any problems with the math and memorization games. I can’t say the same to the pictures. I’m not sure if this was something purposely implemented by the creators, but whenever I take a picture and it doesn’t match up completely, the camera would sometimes flip around and make it incredibly difficult to take the picture. At other times, the picture is (istg) exactly the same as the previous but it wouldn’t go through. My alarm kept notifying me for about an hour while I was doing other things and I had to reinstall the app to turn it off. Again, I’m not sure if the creators did his to intensify the difficulty, but when it’s early in the morning, I don’t want to spend my first five minutes trying to take the picture. OTHERWISE, this app isn’t bad for its other features. I really like having the weather right when I wake up and the features for maths and memorization DO work (personally, only if the difficulty is higher). So overall, a pretty effective system; maybe just a few changes here and there.

Alarmy helped me fix my sleep schedule!. (Completely unsponsored) The only alarm app I’ll use! I had fallen into an awful habit of becoming quite literally nocturnal (going to sleep anywhere from 5-9 am) for over a month. I thought setting multiple alarms on my built on alarm app on my phone would help. In reality setting so many alarms was just giving me subconscious permission to keep going back to sleep. Eventually the last alarm would ring, and would be stopped by a barely conscious, very sleepy, me. Usually I wouldn’t even remember as I was half-asleep. With Alarmy, I only set one or two alarms. The second rarely rings as I am already wide awake. The different alarm sound options are amazing, as well as the info page within the app that lets you know any configurations necessary to ensure Alarmy rings loud and clear. It’s so frustrating when your alarm won’t ring even though you set it the night before, or it doesn’t sound enough like an alarm to actually do the job. I don’t have these issues anymore, and now go to sleep at 2-3 am at the latest and wake up at 10 or 11. Improving my sleep schedules helped improve my general wellbeing, thanks Alarmy :)

Battery Life + 3rd Party Alarms. - If you’ve noticed your battery draining at faster rates than normal, the Alarmy background process could be the reason. Turning off the app during the day is a decent workaround, but I’m guessing Alarmy has to work this way due to restrictions for 3rd party apps not being allowed to ring if it’s not running in the background. - If Alarmy doesn’t ring randomly on certain days, it’s likely due to automatic software updates. These updates can cause the app to shutdown in the middle of the night, which in turn causes the ringer to not go off properly (at least for me, since I use Do Not Disturb and Silent mode frequently). Apple additionally does not allow you to prevent a single app from being updated automatically, which means that you’ll likely need to turn off automatic updates entirely which is annoying. Overall, the functionality of the app is actually quite good - the puzzles have helped me wake up properly in the morning. However, due to limitations of the app (not even Alarmy’s fault, but rather due to iOS app restrictions), I’m switching to a manual digital alarm clock for reliability/battery life reasons.

Amazing!! But picture mode is terrible. I loved this alarm ! Stuff like the remembering game and the math equations were amazing ways to wake me up and it should be able to wake everyone up in the morning no doubt. It would always be the only alarm to wake me up, however my issue began to be staying up, as I found that afterwards I began to just get sleepy again and fall back asleep. I found that forcing me to get up and stand was the best way to keep me awake. So I decided to use the picture mode for my alarm. Suddenly, everything went downhill. Even after changing the settings (extending the time, making sure the quality of the retake was low), retaking the picture was always way too hard, and I’d be there for 20 minutes trying to turn the alarm off. I’ve had to delete and re-download the app multiple times to shut it off now, and now that I’ve done that the alarm has suddenly become far too low and quiet to even wake me up, even at max volume and everything. This alarm is the only I know of that can wake me up, and I’ll be sure to keep at it and try to fix it, but a future reminder to future users: the picture mode is hard to work with, and may become more of a strain on your day then a help.

Narcolepsy. This app has changed my life. As somebody with narcolepsy type 2, I have never been able to wake up to alarms. I would press snooze over and over, possibly 50 times. And no, not an overstatement. I often, if I allow myself, will sleep for 28-40+ hours at a time, half waking up to pee or take a bite of the chips I have next to me on my bed at all times. I have never felt what it was truly like to feel awake. But this alarm, has allowed me to conquer me snoozing my alarms without remembering. When I had the multi alarms, it would allow me to actually get up and take my adderall, fall asleep for 10 minutes, then wake up from both the alarm and adderall mix. I never had to worry about missing my college classes again. Even though I’m unable to subscribe to the full version anymore due to college, I would like to add a suggestion! The snooze button is unlimited :(. And I can do the check to see if awake, but snooze is easier on my brain when trying to get the wake hormones to work. But, with unlimited snooze, I found myself pressing snooze throughout the entirety of the day, as I can sleep on adderall aswell. Narcolepsy is unforgiving ahah. Maybe there could be an option to only be allowed to snooze once or twice or unlimited 😅. It would help severely.

Game. Changer.. I have been using Alarmy for about a year now, and it is the ONLY alarm clock I can depend on that will actually get me out of bed. Prior to Alarmy, I would very commonly turn off the alarm in my sleep only to wake up an hour late and in a panic. This is impossible with the picture-match function of Alarmy. As a math teacher, I can often do the math problems in my sleep (though I have seriously improved on my double digit multiplication), but having to take that picture forced me up. It drives me nuts but I’m not late because of my alarm clock anymore. I have been forced to delete a couple times because no matter how hard I tried to match the picture, the alarm would not turn off. Props to the app not having an “out” that I could learn in my sleep, but the only way I could go on with my day was to delete the app mid-alarm. Now, I always have to use pictures that are very easy to match, and after moving, I have been having difficulty finding a good spot. So, 4 stars only because I wish the app was slightly more lenient on those pictures because I do have trouble getting the phone in the exact position to match the original picture. **edit: using the app for the first time since March (teacher during Covid lol) and noticing a barcode option which seems much more reliable than the photo!! Back to 5 stars!!!

reliable but kinda weird. i’ve been using this app since high school after my apple alarm randomly stopped going off some mornings making me miss the bus. it was extremely helpful for those early mornings after staying up way too late to finish an overdue assignment…it has extra loud alarm options that get louder the longer you let them go off, and they’re so annoying that you’ll literally do anything (including getting up) to make it stop. it also has lots of different options for wake up missions, such as memory games and math problems you have to complete before you can shut off the alarm. overall it is an extremely reliable alarm app, as long as it is open in the background of your apps it will go off. however after the recent update the app has introduced morning messages after the alarm is turned off…it will pop up with something encouraging to start off your day. they started pretty normal, things like “you can do this” or “believe in yourself”, but i think they’re trying too hard to be creative because they have been almost creepy the last few mornings. a couple days ago it read “don’t push yourself too hard to be happy :)” and this morning it said “i’m going to miss you.” what’s going on? is alarmy closing their app? am i going somewhere? like idk is it just me or are these lovely good morning messages becoming rather ominous? needless to say they are very confusing at 5:30AM, but also somewhat entertaining because i never know what i’m gonna get.

no more setting 10 alarms to only *maybe* wake up. I absolutely love this app. I cannot remember a time in my life where I would actually wake up and stay up. I opted to pay for the very reasonable premium subscription after I tested out the free trial. The physical challenges force me to wake up and get out of bed, in addition to starting my day off with some nice exercise. Potentially my favorite feature, amongst all the great options and settings, is the ability to select your alarm tone to ‘random.’ If I hear the same alarm every morning, my brain will eventually tune it out, and it won’t wake me up anymore. Even the most obnoxious alarm tone Apple offers (you know the one) will not do anything. But with the random option, a different alarm tone will play every morning, and will only get louder and louder. If you decide to go for premium, a great feature is the ‘wake up check’ where they will prompt you to make sure you’re still awake, and you have to select ‘yes’ within a certain amount of time, otherwise you have to do your whole wake up mission again. There’s also great alarm ‘power ups’ that you can choose from if you need extra motivation to get up in the morning. I never thought I would see the day where one alarm wakes me up, but I’m glad to finally be here. If you’re a chronic late sleeper, there’s not an app or alarm I can recommend more.

Almost Perfect ****UPDATE**** It’s perfect. As other reviews have stated, Alarmy is a life changer. There's not much to say. Others haven't told me that, but as my title states, there are a few issues I have. So let's say you're exhausted and missing the wake-up check. There is no way to override the alarm. One instance was when I kept falling back asleep with the wake-up check enabled. When I finally got out of bed, I had to hurry up and jump in the shower missing another wake-up check. I had the skill levels turned to the medium, so it took a while to go through all three, making getting ready difficult. When it was finally time to leave, I still had a 10-minute wake-up check running, but I couldn't wait, and I had to go ahead and leave. The problem is that now I'm driving, and in a few minutes, I will have to go through unlock routines. The only option to kill the alarm was deleting the app. There needs to be another way to do that without deleting it. Edit: Wow, it keeps getting better and better! My issue with the wake-up check has been fixed in a very creative way! Now you just type a quick sentence promising that you’re awake and it’s off!

Genius Idea/Why don’t all alarms have this?!. I am a student with morning classes and A morning job. I have always had trouble getting up in the morning because I am a deep sleeper, and I both sleep walk and talk so whoever is waking me up doesn’t know if I am actually awake or not. I have tried everything, and alarmy is the thing that helped me most. I sleep through the majority of alarms because they are simply not loud enough or shut off after only a few rings. That is why alarmy is genius because it allows you to alter the way you want to be woken up, and gives you multiple different tasks to chose from. This allows you to not only hear the alarm (unlike most clocks) but also have multiple different tasks to make sure you are truly awake. And if you get used to one task and stop needing to be fully awake to do it (like I do), you can change it or do a task like math. Alarmy has helped me to finally be able to function in the morning, and helped me keep my job! :). I wish all alarms worked this way, it seems so obvious and that is why it’s genius. So thank you to the developers at alarmy! Hope I see more genius products like this soon.

This app is saving my GPA. About a month ago I had a change in my medication that was greatly beneficial for me, but I quickly went from a very light sleeper to a VERY heavy one. I would set an alarm with the default alarm app, only to wake up hours later with it still ringing- I just wouldn't hear it. I was missing classes, due dates, and appointments, no matter how many alarms I set. My grades were dropping and I was in constant fear of missing work and getting fired. I downloaded this app last week without much hope of it actually working. I expected that I would just have to change my meds back to the ones I had before, despite how much physically better I felt. In this past week, I have woken up on time every single morning and from every nap! This alarm is LOUD, even without choosing a "loud" sound (I really like the picnic sound). I also have it set to make me do math problems, which really helps me "actually" wake up. I haven't missed a single class this week and it's taken an huge amount of stress and guilt off my shoulders, especially as the end of the college semester is getting close. I am so thankful for this app- I don't even need any of the premium features, but might buy the subscription anyway because the value it's given me is worth so much. If you're in doubt, try this app!! I'm so glad I did!!

Great App!. The reason I rate this a 4/5 is because it’s a really great app, I do wish that some of the features were available for free. I can understand the really advanced ones like doing weight lifting for your challenge but some basic ones I wish were included in the free version. I would buy the yearly version but it just seems way too expensive for an app I will use for a few days every week to wake myself up. I love this app and haven’t used it much recently but it was my go-to back in 2019 and my cousin/best friend actually told me about it and I knew I had to try! My set up is weird, and its unlike most but on my phone I have an alarm that “wakes me up” and just gets my mind to know that it’s the morning, then 5-10 minutes later my Alarmy alarm goes off on my iPad which sits on my dresser (3 feet away) so I have to get up and sit there in order to go on because I use the memorize challenge. Other than that I haven’t really used it for much else but I do know it has this feature where I you can listen to sounds and it will go off automatically in an hour or anytime of your choice. I attempted to use it once but I didn’t really use it but for like 5 minutes so I can’t really give a review on that but this app is really nice other than the subscription part which I mentioned earlier and I would TOTALLY RECOMMEND!!!

AMAZING. I started using this app because I was having a really difficult time waking up once I started taking my prescription sleeping pills at night. I was late to work and missing class and nothing I did seem to work. I tried putting my alarm clock on the other side of the room, I tried leaving my curtains open for the sun, nothing did the trick. This alarm is the most amazing thing- nothing, absolutely nothing, can beat it in terms of functionality. There is no way not to wake up when you set this alarm. I use the math function and, when I want a less alarming wake up, the shake function and they have never failed me. I’ve been using it for almost 2 years now and, unlike most other alarms, I have not gotten used to this one. I love it because there is absolutely no way to turn off the alarm except to follow its instructions. You can’t close out of the app, you can’t turn your phone volume down. If it wants you to wake up, you will wake up. I’m so glad I tried this app before I did something more extreme, like getting one of those alarms that shakes the bed and sounds like a fire alarm. If you’re looking for a sign, let this be it: this thing works.

10/10 would recommend. As a college student with insomnia (not related to college) and difficulties waking up, I am extremely satisfied with Alarmy! I have tried sooo many techniques, apps, and alarm clocks, all of which I’ve been able to either sleep through or turn off in my sleep within the first couple of weeks. I love that I can set as many alarms as I’d like for different occasions and that each alarm can have a unique alarm task. I have all of mine set for math problems at carrying difficulties, and it’s proven very beneficial in stimulating my brain so I don’t go back to sleep after simply taking a picture or pressing a button. Non-related to the alarm functions themselves, I absolutely love the screen emerging after wake up tasks have been successfully completed. Not only does it feature daily news, horoscope, and news widgets, but it also lists the day’s weather in comparison to the previous day. For example, if yesterday was sunny and 85 degrees, today’s reading might list the temperature as 77 and underneath would say, “8 degrees cooler than yesterday,” or, “rain showers on and off today. I have never seen this in any weather app, let alone an app in which meteorology is not the primary focus.

SAVED ME FROM GETTING FIRED!. I’m a 19 year old workaholic who also has severe mental health problems that cause me to oversleep ALL THE TIME. I have 2 jobs and one of them requires me to be up anywhere between 4:30-7 in the morning. I live an hour away from my other job and get off at 10 most nights meaning I don’t get home at 11, then pair that with sleeping issues so I don’t get to bed until 2 am most nights!! This app SAVED ME. The first time I used it I had to be up by 5:30, and with the plethora of annoying sounds to choose from I have been consistently jolted awake by this app and not been able to turn it off in my sleep which is FANTASTIC! My one and only disappointment was when I tried setting it to have me do math problems to turn it off. When I try to do the problems in the morning (I set it to have me do 5 problems) when I would answer the first one correctly, it did not switch to the second one or give me any option to do so. It just kept going off without giving me a chance to do the rest of the problems, making me delete the app just to turn it off. I’m going to have to switch it to scan a barcode and hopefully that works!! If you guys fixed that it would be an automatic 5 stars from me!! And the white noise feature is brilliant. Other than that one flaw I love this app!!

MUST USE. I'm a student with morning classes (since they aren’t offered later) and I tend to continue studying until late at night because my major is quite demanding. I was recommended this by a friend and it's a lifesaver. I sleep like a rock. I can fall asleep on command but I won't wake up. My regular alarm wasn't doing it and I'm pretty sure my first class teachers wondered what happened to me in the mornings because it wasn't pretty. I would go to my first class looking all disheveled and fix myself during the break period. Now with Alarmy, I get up and stay up. I am forced to start moving and wake myself uo with the Shake function since I leave my phone on my night stand and I can’t just reach and click snooze. Then I actually have time to get ready for school and sometimes I even have left over time to scroll through my SNS. My last one is to take a picture of my (packed) bag so I'm actually ready to leave the dorms (without running) I also have startle epilepsy, so seizures that can be caused by sudden noises/surprises. A past alarm I tried was too sudden and caused me to have a few episodes but Alarmy has been working great. Your alarm will gradually get louder but not alarmingly (no pun intended) loud. Just loud enough to wake up a rock :) Thank you Alarmy~~♡

Great, but hate the subscription. I used this app a lot around 2017ish when I could never wake up for school and loved it. I am an extremely heavy sleeper, and I have a bad habit of turning alarms off while still fully asleep. The alarms on this are loud and obnoxious, which is exactly what I need, and the tasks aren’t possible to do without waking up. When I first got this app, it was maybe $2 upfront with unlimited access to all the alarm settings. I stopped using it for a while, but I recently downloaded it again and was extremely disappointed to see the subscription pop up first thing. I’m glad the memory puzzle is still free as that is what I primarily used, but other options like the barcode, steps, or photos that require you to physically get up are no longer available without a subscription. I get that this app has much more features now, like sleep tracking, but those could be offered through subscription without including half the alarm types. This app is extremely helpful and it’s disappointing to see it stuck behind subscription, especially since the monthly price is three times more than the original one time price. Edit- the developer reached out and helped and I’m grateful! I still stand by my first comment that an alarm app shouldn’t require a subscription, but their customer service was extremely helpful!

The Best Alarm Ever!. I’m so happy I found this app! I’m not a morning person and I always hit the snooze button. I realized that I needed to make some changes first starting with getting up earlier to be able to complete tasks before the kids wake up. I tried this before but it never stuck since I loved hitting the snooze button. I found Alarmy and it changed my life. I started with the memory game just because I struggle with remembering things at times so I thought that would be helpful for me. When I tell you, no matter what time I went to sleep, once Alarmy went off and I completed my memory mission, I was wide awake and ready to start my day. I felt good about myself and started seeing a difference in my life in general. I make sure I go to be at a decent hour because I can now count on Alarmy to wake me and my brain up. I now use the math mission and it works just as well. I also set it up on my 1st grade son’s tablet because he struggles with math at times. He loves it! I let him pick the tone and I hear when he wakes up counting aloud and actually completing the problems. He even asked if I could make the problems a little more difficult! Sorry for the long review but I love this app and not just for the alarm but also the sleep music option. I used to use you tube for sleep meditation music but now I don’t have to. The creator of this app is a genius. Thanks so much!

Only using this app to wake up ever!. I never ever write reviews, so this shows how amazing this app is. I’m a lover for the snooze button and my apple alarms never wake me up like they used to. I’ve tried every trick in the book but to no avail. I randomly came across this app and was hesitant to try out the 7-day free trial, because it would imply I had to pay in the future should I go past the 7 days. However, best $5 ever spent. Since using it, I’ve been able to make every early morning meeting regardless of the time. I’m not a fan of the blaring alarm noises, so I love how the “morning” sounds are soothing enough to not put me in a panic but loud and consistent enough to wake me up and get me going. I love how you can customize each alarm to have easy or challenging missions, because—let’s face it—in the past, I’ve slept through alarms with the phone directly next to my ear so I need every complicated problem possible to even consider me waking up. I set my alarms to “no snooze” so I have to manually go into the app to dismiss the alarm (and it’s made me realize how instinctually I press the side buttons on my iPhone to mute). All-in-all, this is hands down the best alarm system I’ve used to wake me up successfully each morning without having a mini heart attack from blaring alarms.

Best thing to happen to my career EVER. I’ve been battling thyroid issues for years. One of the fun side effects of hypothyroidism is intense fatigue. I live an hour from my office and commute every morning. With every other alarm i have ever tried, I would set my alarm for 5am with the best of intentions, and hit the snooze for an hour...or 2...and would inevitably show up 15-30 minutes late for work 2-3 times per week. I would also lose productivity in the mornings from my mad rush out the door. I have to use the “take a picture” function because it forces me out of bed. I set my picture to something in the kitchen so that once I’m there, I can immediately start making my coffee and force myself to stay up. I can then take my time getting ready for work and actually look like a put-together professional rather than dragging in late with rumpled clothes and “red-light rush eyeliner”. Since I started using Alarmy 3 months ago I haven’t been late to work once, and my focus and general attitude have improved immensely. I was promoted to Manager at my CPA firm last week, a year ahead of when I’d originally been told I could realistically expect any kind of promotion, citing the rapid improvement in my general work ethic and overall comportment. I credit this app with 90% of that. Please please PLEASE keep this app running FOREVER!!!

It works.. I got this app when I started working night shifts and kept sleeping through my day classes. A lot of people say they’re a heavy sleeper, and I’m no different. I’ve slept through at least 4 fire alarms while I lived in dorms. This is the only app I trust to wake me up if I’m taking a 90 minute nap or only getting 3 hours of sleep. It’s highly customizable and it really has a lot of features with the free edition. I’ve been using it for 5 years for free, today I got the paid version because anything you use daily for five years ought to be good. Over those five years I did have ads but there were no pop ups, and the couple banner ads that are there aren’t intrusive at all. I would highly recommend this app for anyone that struggles to wake up. The games you can say to dismiss the alarm offer flexibility. I’m barely able to do 16x13 in my head fully awake, much less with a blaring alarm screaming at me after sleeping for 6 holes. The only reason you shouldn’t try this app is if you don’t struggle waking up at all like some kind of sleep hating psychopath. But if that were you, you wouldn’t be reading this review.

It works, but... EDIT: I had to change my review from 4 stars to one. Since I first wrote this, I have tried the app 3 more times, and each time I got frustrated and deleted. It will work fine for a week, and then out of the blue, it decides not to recognize my picture anymore. No matter what I do, the alarm won’t turn off and I’m forced to delete. This has happened a total of FIVE TIMES NOW in about a month and a half. Also? Sometimes the alarm won’t even go off. Or, it’ll vibrate and send notification after notification with no sound. My phone will get so hot that it shuts itself down. Ridiculous. There’s no excuse for this! I’m moving on to another alarm app. Done struggling with this one. Original review: I have a horrible time trying to wake up in the morning. Since I got this app, I haven’t slept through a single alarm. My one complaint though is I’ve had to uninstall this twice now because for whatever reason, the “photo” option decides to stop working. For example, this morning I got up to take the same picture I’ve been using for weeks in order to shut my alarm off. No matter what I did, it absolutely wouldn’t work. The only way I could get the alarm to shut off was to uninstall. This has happened twice now, and let me tell you…it’s NOT a good way to start the day. If this ever gets fixed I’ll change this review to 5 stars. It’s a very frustrating bug.

SAVED OUR MARRIAGE!!. Ok, I’m just joking with the title, BUT in all seriousness, it helped one of our main issues which is both of us getting up and out the door on time. Mornings are hard anyway and we have two kids to get up and out the door, not just ourselves. We have tried everything from setting our phones across the room, to louder alarms, music, hiding the phone somewhere so we have to look for it when the alarm is going off...nothing worked consistently. I was ready to purchase an expensive alarm that would roll away from us so we would have to catch it because I was out of ideas. Thankfully I read a blog post about Alarmy and it has been life changing. For almost two months now, my husband and I have been able to get up ON TIME, we get the things done that we need to get done in the morning, we get out the door on time, and best of all, we are not stressed about it because we both woke up with time to spare. We both use the picture alarm which forces us to walk downstairs and match the picture on our phone. I like that there are multiple options to help different kinds of sleepers wake up. I also like that there is a variety of options for alarm sounds and night time sounds to help you fall asleep. It is also incredibly easy to use. We love this app and will continue to use it.

I have a love/hate relationship with this alarm. I’m a person that can hit snooze and fall right back to sleep. I’ve been known to snooze for more than 2 hours. Consequently, I have always had to set my alarms way early and am always tired and frantic in the mornings. Then I discovered Alarmy. I left the snooze option off, made the alarm a favorite song, and set it so I have to scan the barcode of the shampoo in the shower to turn it off. When that alarm first goes off, all I want to do is shut it off. I’ve even tried turning the volume down. Nope, Alarmy turns it right back up. So I hate it for about half a song, then that hook hits and I’m singing and rockin’ and up starting my day in less than 5 minutes. It’s a miracle! I love it! I’m sleeping better and waking more refreshed. Alarmy is the best thing to happen to my mornings. I also like the white noise machine at night and getting my horoscope, weather, and news in the morning. If I could make one suggestion, it would be an option to set a number of snoozes allowed, as opposed to just the length of snooze. Waking up with Alarmy would be perfect with ONE snooze. Thanks for reenergizing my mornings.

Best Alarm I've Ever Used!. I never write reviews but this app has seriously changed my life and I wanted to share my views on it. I'm the deepest sleeper you'll ever meet. My mom gets so frustrated with me for school or whenever I have to get up early. I'm ALWAYS late to everything because I can't wake up. Whenever I would set a regular iPhone alarm full blast I still wouldn't hear it in the slightest. I sleep right through it without even realizing that it's going off. This alarm is LOUD and WILL NOT STOP GOING OFF until you complete an action. I noticed that regular iPhone alarms also stop ringing after a while. This one will literally ring forever. It is so persistent. I just use the free version of the app and for me personally, it does wake me up. But if you're like me and you sleep like the dead and have the money to spend on premium, go for it. It isn't that expensive and I think it's a smart purchase. Premium will only make it better better, not worse. As far as the alarm itself I would give 5 stars. The only reason I gave 4 is because the whole app can be hard to navigate sometimes and it's a little dated. I feel like the layout of this app is very 2013 and the creators should consider a new, modern design. I don't think the appearance would have an impact on the effectiveness of the app but I definitely think more people would be inclined to download it if it had a fresh modern layout. Definitely give this app a try!

It WAS so good!. I’ve used this app for maybe a whole year and most of that time it was great! Sadly recently I’ve thought ab deleting it. I’m a heavy sleeper so I have to set multiple alarms because even if I do 3 math missions for 3 alarms, I’ll still sleep. So i set about 7-8 alarms, all with missions. That worked for a while until a few weeks ago when some of those alarms just didn’t set! I set them, screenshooting them for proof, and went to bed. I woke up late because some of the earlier alarms didn’t go off. I had one for 6:00, 6:30, 6:45, 7:00, 7:10, 7:20, and 7:30. When I woke up, it was because of the 7:10 one and I did the mission and waited for the next one. By the time the last alarm hit, I was still tired and expecting my other alarms to go off and slept. Only thing is it was my last one and I slept in. When I woke up I was super angry at myself and looked at Alarmy and the first 4 alarms were still on, so they just NEVER WENT OFF???? I got mad and lived with it for a few weeks and it’s been happening ever since, now i set many more alarms and like 6 of them don’t go off. I’m very mad/sad because this worked so well for me.😞😞

The only thing getting me up in the morning. I used to set 5 to 7 of the normal apple alarms every single day, and would constantly just shut them off and go back to sleep, or even sleep through them! When I found Alarmy, I was sort of desperate to actually start waking up in the morning on time, instead of waking up an hour late and leaving the house with disheveled clothes and hair and just looking like a whole mess overall. At first I tried doing the math, but I couldn’t bring myself to just stop using the calculator to solve the problems and would simply fall back asleep. I tried several combinations of different ways to wake up, and some worked better than others. However the one hat works best for me is doing 100 shakes at a light level and then taking a photo of the toothbrush in my bathroom. The shakes, because there are so many, jumpstart my brain, and the photo actually drags me out of bed so I can start the day. It works perfectly! Not once have I slept through the alarms or just ignored them due to the awesome sound feature. And I just want to say, if the app doesn’t work the first time, trying multiple combinations should help a lot! Thank you designers and production team for really one of the most essential apps for me right now!

CAUTION: It will overheat your phone and kill your battery. I LOVE Alarmy. It works so well.. but, they want you to keep it open all day in the background so you don’t forget to set it at night. And it requires access to do everything in the background so it will actually ring I. The morning. The problem is: while running in the background they have it running some sort of processes, who knows what.. but it KILLS your battery. Literally uses more battery than my screen.. since I got up this morning it has used 25% of my battery, which means it is tracking a lot of SOMETHING in the background.. and there is no way to stop it unless you remember to physically swipe up and force close the app every morning. My battery life has cut in half since this started. Also, it makes my phone REALLY hot constantly to where the phone dims the screen and the back of my phone is hot to the touch. After Force closing the app, this all stops. (EDIT: just looked through the tracking data, and while the app is open it literally tracks ALL of your usage data such as: search history, what apps you use, location data, etc. and sells it to advertisers.. that’s why it kills the phone battery.. also.. why am I being charged a monthly subscription when they are making money selling my personal info?)

Trust me it works!. I’m a very very heavy sleeper. I would turn off my alarms without knowing I was or sleep threw them which would cause me to wake up in a panic running around and starting my day off on the wrong foot. I was looking for a app that might help me. I downloaded one but it wasn’t affective enough for me but after look a little I saw Alarmy. The other reviews of it said that it was excellent so I gave it a try! Let me tell you this app really works it has normal alarms to wake up to or if your like me and will sleep through/turn off your alarms it has 8 different settings in the alarm. You have defaulted, shake, take a picture, math problems, Barcode/QR-code, memorize game, typing, and walking. I usually use shake, math games, and memorize. I haven’t tried typing and walking because those are locked and you have to pay for those. Alarmy also has sleep sounds you can use which are free! You can control how hard or soft you want it to rain and between forest or forest river sounds. I’ve used these sounds before and the noise last until I wake up in the morning when my alarm goes off! They are very peaceful to fall asleep to. Alarmy also has a news section where when you wake up you can look at the news. Overall I would definitely recommend this app it’s effective and easy to use!

WONDERFUL, almost completely. I love Alarmy. I do I do I do. The proof is that even tho after 2-3 months I cannot figure out how to turn off the “wake up check” feature, I’m still using the app (and, for some reason still trying to use the wake up check every so often too). It is the best thing I have found for a lifelong problem getting up on time and building up tolerances to other alarm sounds and sometimes even KNOWINGLY turning off an alarm all the way because my morning persona is truly wily and will do anything to get some more sleep. HOWEVER, I have checked the instructions and online-researched til I’m blue in the face and can’t get the wake up check feature to stay off once I’m actually up. I normally end up just continuing to turn it off every few minutes for the next few HOURS until I finally just delete the app and reload it later. And for some reason even tho the other features wake me up just fine and _really_ Get Me Up, I keep trying this feature every so often. (The online instructions appear to be for a different version etc bc even the actual website’s instructions do not match what it does on my phone.) ANYway DO DO DO get this app but whatever you do don’t use the wake up check feature (or if you do please let me know how you got it turned off). :)

This app is TOO effective. Worth the subscription. I really hate this app, but that’s a good thing. I’m a middle aged woman and up to now have never found a way to wake up early. At first. I was skeptical that the alarm tones weren’t loud or annoying enough. When the alarm actually went off -OMG- I hate that sound so much! It sounds like a drill for a nuclear attack and my body goes into flight or fight mode. I wake up as quickly as possible to make it end as quickly as possible! After reading other reviews, I was afraid there were bugs that would allow me to outsmart it. I have tried turning my phone off, turning down the volume, exiting out of the app before the alarm rings. None works and only makes things worse for my cheating self. I thought I had outsmarted it when I found I could get it to count steps by shaking my phone, but then after about 15 steps it warned me I was cheating and then added the steps back on. I have not been desperate enough to try deleting the app when it’s alarming. At some point, it’s about free will. You have to be REALLY certain you want to wake up the night before when you activate it because there’s no going back. I learned this the hard way one Sunday I had wanted to sleep in.

Love it but NEVER downloaded at night. Ok this sounds stupid but I just wanted to share this so that it doesn’t stress more people out. I downloaded the app a few minutes ago in hope of actually waking up to my alarm. So I open the app and put in that I would need the alarm to be full volume and a puzzle to wake me up. Just to clarify it’s 2am and my room is right next to everyone else’s and all our doors are open. We also have paper thin walls as well. So me being stupid, I press test. I thought that it would show me the puzzle I would have to complete but NOOOO. I was so wrong. It started going off at full volume. Exiting the app would not stop it. My phone wouldn’t allow me to turn the alarm volume down either. And the only way to stop it is to do the puzzles. So I ended up just deleting the app. I’ll re download the app in the morning so I don’t have to worry about waking anyone up. Please excuse my grammar and punctuation I don’t really care about it. And it’s 2 in the morning. I know the alarm will definitely wake me up. It is louder than my normal apple alarms by a long shot. I’m putting this out there as a fair warning😂

Used to love this. I don’t know what happened.. it used to work great no matter what. Silent mode and do not disturb would be on, and I would do other things on my phone after I set the alarm and it would go off no matter what.. the only restriction I ever found was closing out all apps after its set, which is understandable... but now all the sudden it’s not making any noise in the morning. I test it at night after a few late days to work from this happening.. and it works fine, with the silent switch on.. but morning comes and it just vibrates and sends a notification back to back literally every second or two.. so I wake up on my own and have a million notifications that it’s going off, but it’s not. What’s the deal?! Is the only way to use this now is by having the volume and calls available? I take no chances of someone interrupting my sleep! Response to developer: Thank you for getting back to me but I said originally that having it in silent mode AND do not disturb was never a problem in the past... is this because of an iOS update or something? I get calls at all times and really don’t want to have to be woke up by phone calls and texts just to be able to hear my alarm! I stopped the do not disturb but still switch the silent flip at night... guess I’ll have to go buy an old school alarm.. I don’t see a solution to this problem.

this app is amazing.. okay so normally i absolutely despise writing silly little app reviews and i think i frown upon it so much because a lot of the time the reviews are fake or untrustworthy. I can absolutely tell you that you don’t need to worry about that with me, and you definitely won’t need to worry about oversleeping or being late with this app. I know it sounds stupid but i know a lot of you guys reading this probably just repeatedly hit ‘snooze’ on your default alarm so you can get your sleep that you want but shouldn’t have. It’s very tempting to do that yes, be we all regret it later. Luckily this app has a pretty cool feature or two that will ensure you get up on time. I, personally, love the picture task because it makes you physically get up and take a photo of whatever item you chose which in my case, is a painting outside my room, which pretty much automatically means i have to get up and walk to it. It’s a really good app, trust me. It’s super easy to navigate and has some amazing effects and sounds to fall asleep too along with multiple tones, vibrations and alarms to wake up to :) 10/10 from me.

Snooze Presser. As someone who presses the snooze button every time an alarm goes off and even half asleep turning the alarm(s) off with no recollection once eventually awake finding myself to be late, this app is the best! It's so loud and annoying but what I love most is to stop the alarm once it's going off you have the option to choose to have to take a photo (+ other options) but my favourite is you can choose to have to shake your phone up to 30 times which alone wakes me up enough to make me aware of what's happening LOL

Useful only in specific conditions. I never write reviews but if I’d known about these requirements I wouldn’t have bothered with the app, so feel obliged to warn others. Firstly, the alarm itself is great. The free version is pretty limited but you’ve got enough access that it’s still worth it. It succeeded in waking me up properly every time it actually went off. Unfortunately it only works if the app is open in the background and your phone is not on silent. It sends you notifications when you close it to warn you that your alarm won’t go off so it didn’t take me long to get in the habit of leaving it open when I closed everything else. If your phone is on silent though, it only vibrates, no sound. My phone is always on silent so this makes the app useless to me. If those things aren’t an issue for you then the app is great. The search continues for me.

Amazing app!!. this app ‘Alarmy’ is amazing and works wonders. Firstly, this app doesn’t need you to pay (unless you want a specific kind of mission but we’ll get into that soon) everything is free from setting your alarm to choosing your sound to falling asleep (we will also get into those soon) Which is obviously amazing. Secondly, in this all you can simply set your alarm and choose a sound that you would like to wake you up to, and during Christmas time there is a alarm sound that has very much ‘Christmas vibes’ to it. Also there is some sounds that can help you fall asleep which is a bonus!! Thirdly, you have a mission where you would chose a mission (I use the memory game/mission) To help you fully wake up, otherwise your alarm won’t stop ringing which is also amazing! And lastly, you have a page where it will show you the weather and some news so you know what to wear on that day or what’s happening. I totally recommend this app for everyone!! Mind you I never write reviews but I thought this app deserves one from me!

Nice app, but terrible payment system. There are a lot of things to appreciate about this application. Good variety of alarm tunes and ways to adjust them, and different methods to help you get up in the morning (puzzles & missions). There are two major problems with this app though: 1. You need to keep it open 24/7, otherwise alarms don’t work. There is such a thing as background app refreshing and I don’t understand why they don’t use it. 2. Ads are non-intrusive and silent, but you see one every time you stop an alarm (very annoying in the morning). I would normally pay to get rid of them in apps that I like, but heck I’m not going to pay an overpriced monthly subscription for that. It’s not justifiable.

I would’ve lost my job by now without this app!. For my whole life I've struggled with mornings and hated how my body legitimately does not allow me to wake up and get myself out of bed without it being a huge struggle.... this app gets me up and out of my room as soon as the alarm sounds. I head straight to my bathroom to photograph the bathroom light switch, and hop straight in the shower to wake up! It's amazing, thank you!!! I would recommend this to anyone and everyone!!!

OMG this is Heaven one ur phone. So yeah I love this app I sometimes sleep in and when you can make missions and totally customise the app is really cool. I love that it tells you some things like what the weather will be and maybe the news I know that you can even get more with the pro version but the normal is more than plenty for now! But I totally recommend this if you sleep in and is always late. Pls reply if you feel the same way lol

Great app if you sleep through your alarms!. This is the first alarm which has woken me up without fail. It has been my lifesaver!! I am a very deep sleeper and would usually turn off my alarms in my sleep. This app allows you to set up ‘missions’ to complete before the alarm will turn off. Many different options for different missions but I used the maths equation. You’re able to change the level of difficulty of the equations and how many you must complete before you can turn the alarm off. Only downside is the app needs to be running in the background while you sleep for it to work. Although the app send you a notification when you close the app and you have an alarm set.

it’s worth it. normally i hate writing reviews on apps because it just takes up unnecessary time but I want to actually let other people know like me that can’t wake up from the normal clock app that this is going to get you out of bed I still have to set a couple of different alarms and I find that the maths questions wake me up the most this is saved me a lot of time and has help me productive during quarantine and it’s help me get up for school on time since my dad and my brother leave early for work and I’m the only person in the house

Good idea but doesn’t work very well.. I like the idea of having an alarm that you have to complete a task to turn off. It wakes me up well. However it doesn’t always work. Some days it just doesn’t ring. If you have been playing something through headphones it will blast that out of the speaker at full volume when it does ring. It also drains a lot of battery. I have around a 25% drain a day due to this app. It cannot work if it is not constantly running in the background. Try other apps instead and be cautious of the battery drain.

It makes me get out of bed. I hate how well it works! You can set a limited number of snoozes and a limited snooze length, and it will NOT turn off until you do the required task to turn it off. I’ve tried to trick it so many times. Definitely recommend using the barcode scanning task set to a barcode in the bathroom or a coffee container or something. Something far from your bed.

Great app!!. I have ADHD and Insomnia and getting up in the mornings has been a lifelong struggle. I just turn alarms off half asleep without even realising. I’ve even lost jobs because of it! Alarmy is the first alarm app that has actually helped me! I use the barcode scanner option so that I have to get out of bed, go downstairs to scan a barcode on the fridge to turn off the alarm. On my days off when I need to wake up my brain but not get up immediately I use the memory puzzle. Also there are alarm sounds that are loud enough to wake me but aren’t horrible beeps that give me migraines! This app is a game changer!

No More Late Mornings. Amazing, this app actually gets me up in the morning. I love the walking feature. The only downside is it is a paid feature (though not a very expensive subscription), but it works so well I don’t care. It has options for free as well, but my favourite is the walking where it makes me get up and walk to shut off the alarm (pausing the sound as soon as I hit the stop button and resuming seconds later if no activity), and doesn’t allow shaking the phone (unless a super slow controlled movement that wakes me up anyway with the effort), or it errors and resets the step count meter.

No more accidental sleep ins- best app ever!!!!!. This app has a variety of features for everybody who have their different reasons for sleeping past their alarm clocks!!! I have now gotten back on track with my sleeping pattern due to the clever and successful features of the app such as making my brain work by solving math problems or even making myself physically get up to take a picture to turn the alarm off (I especially love the sounds included in the app to wake you up OR to make you fall asleep!!!) This app gets bonus points from me as it is FREE!!! I have tried so many tricks and alarms in the past but for some reason, Alarmy is the only things that works!!! Thanks so much, I have never looked back when it comes to choosing what I use to wake myself up every morning!!!!!

TRUST ME AND GET THIS APP. I was beginning to unconsciously turn off my regular alarms and it got to the point where nothing would wake me up and I couldn’t just sleep through things. I downloaded this app and set the picture mission and let me tell you I NEVER SLEEP IN. I am forced to get out of my bed and take a photo of a specific thing every morning for it to stop; sounds dreadful but it is FANTASTIC!! I can’t recommend this anymore it’s so great and I have the regular version not the premium and it does everything I need it too. It’s so easy to use and I wish I could get everyone to download it!!!!!!!!

One improvement.. This app is great for a deep sleeper like me who needs to physically get out of bed - and then have more alarms to stop me from going back to sleep. The only thing I can think of that would improve this app is a function I have seen in other sleep apps that wakes you up at the end of a sleep cycle. I have a hard time estimating when I should wake up based on when I go to sleep and it’s important that I wake up feeling refreshed so I am not tired for the rest of the day. Otherwise, I recommend this app for people who don’t have that issue.

Great when it works, hell when it doesn’t!. I struggle with mornings and getting out of bed in particular. I used the squat task for about a week and a half and it was going well but this morning it would not register my squats whatever I did, after about 10 times of doing the squats, the squats not registering at all and the alarm restarting I had to delete the app. I even tried completely closing and reopening the app! Terrible way to wake up and start the day! Also it used 19% of my battery in the background, I may redownload because of the subscription but if it happens again I am out, not a morning person at the best of times so don’t want this added frustration!

Great app love it. Better than my actual alarm app on my phone. The wake up sound fades in and there’s really great ring sound options to choose from. You can change the snooze time, the ring volume and other stuff. You can also decide how you want to turn off the alarm, whether it be shaking your phone or answering questions, or just nothing. I find that Alarmy is more reliable than my clock app on my iPhone, as sometimes that doesn’t go off , not sure why. This is a really great app and I use it every night. Thank you

Really effective!. Easily the most effective alarm I’ve found at getting me out of bed & into action. I use the photograph option - to shut the alarm off, I have to photograph something I’ve set up beside the first thing I have to do in the morning. Matching my original photo is enough of a fiddle to really wake me up. There are ways around it (eg if you forgot to switch the alarm off & were away from home) but my (quite weak!) will power has managed to avoid doing that over the several months I’ve used the app so far.

Great with a few minor issues. This has really helped me. It’s free and there are so many options to get you going. The only thing that I find annoying is that it will sometimes not ring if the app isn’t in recent background. If you want the sound to go away at 6am in the morning you can easily do that by just swiping up on the quick change setting thing (when you double tap the home button.) Also doesn’t have a dark mode. Otherwise, this is really awesome and I totally recommend getting it. :)

Life changing alarm. This app is so helpful, instead of me snoozing my alarms which has been a thing I am able to do while still asleep I am unable to turn the alarm off until I open my eyes and solve the puzzle I have chosen. I have snoozed and slept through a few alarms in the past and missed work and now it is impossible for that to happen! 5⭐️ app!

Many functions and creative ways to wake you up!. I found this app about 2 years ago and have been using it since, the functions are clear and I love the way it wakes you up You can choose to do maths in the morning to get your head clear, you can take a photo, you can play memory games. This app just has amazing and creative ways to wake you up, and I find it very useful. It also has a power nap function which I also like, because no other alarm apps have this function where you set an temporary alarm for a a few minutes and I use it quite often too! Saves the time to create a new alarm and everything! This app also has very helpful musics to calm you down when you cannot fall asleep, I do not use it often but I like the setting very much, it is unseen in other alarm apps I have used. I recommend this app a lot, use it if you are hard to be woken up just like me. A bit sad that you have to pay for some interesting and good functions, but I am willing to spend that money if I have any:)) Good job for the development team!

Jesus Christ it’s so effectively annoying. I have wrestled with chronic insomnia my whole life, and every time I have to trial a new sleeping pill I inevitably end up screwing up my work schedule. I have learned how to turn off all kinds of alarms in my sleep. I can safely say I can’t do arithmetic in my sleep, nor can I easily drift off again after spending five minutes swearing at math problems like I’m in year 12 again. 10/10 for effectiveness and 12/10 for how much I hated it this morning.

Absolutely Perfect!. Alarmy Is An Absolutely Amazingly Perfect App, Especially When It Comes To The Essentials. Alarmy Is Quick And Easy To Use And Always Wakes Me Up On The First Alarm! I Have Even Tested It To See If I Turn Down My Volume And Sound Effects To See If The Alarm Would Still Play, It Does! It Is Like No Other App, Even The Official Clock App Made By Apple! It Will No Matter What Wake You Up And Has A Nice News Panel Where There Is Some Interesting News You Can Find! It Also Has The Weather Which Is So Accurate And Perfect! I Even Checked With My Thermometers And Proper Weather Station I Have! It Is Absolutely Perfectly No Matter What Perfect! It Was 4 Degrees This Morning And I Even Checked Outside And The App Was Exactly Correct! And I Know It Was Probably Just From The Official Weather App But Even That Is Never So Accurate! So I Dn’t Know What Sort Of Magic Is Happening Here! Alarmy Is The Perfect App To Use And I Have Been Recommending It To Everyone Who Uses At Least A Weather App Or A News App Or An Alarm App T Try Out This App! It’s Just So Perfect!

All features behind paywall now. I loved this app and it really helped me wake up as I’ve always had trouble getting up since I was a teenager. I downloaded it a few months back and in that time the price for premium has literally doubled. Not only that but gradually feature after feature went behind a paywall. I was using for a while without premium, then when I joined I was paying $5ish dollars a month for premium, went back to basic and everything started disappearing from the base cover. Now I have to pay over $10 to set extra tasks? Yeah I’ll just buy an actual clock now.

I hate this app for how good it is at making you wake up. I’ve only fallen asleep 2 times after turning the alarm off, and that’s because I got so good at doing Math through this app that doing 10 questions and falling asleep again was possible. The only drawback is that it’ll remind you to not put your phone on silent everytime you exit. Other than that, simple, quick, and effective. 10/10 recommended.

WAKE UP, WORK ON TIME!!!. Love it. During uni years, I always wake up at 9-10am as the earliest. I play online games too, you know. Now that I have a professional job offer, I have to wake up at 5:30-6am to get to the field on time!!! ALARMY has done exactly what it's meant to do. No 'visible snoozing button'. I put on shake mode (medium high - high) and I really have to sit up to shake it properly! After training myself using this app, I'm not late for work! Plus, it has indicative weather/temperature so for people who are sensitive to weather changes like me, it's really important. I like how you show it immediately after the mission is completed. I'm too lazy to check weather apps everyday. Thanks much for developing this app and allowing users to have to for 0 cost. Supporting you by watching a couple of apps is the least we can do. :) Personally, one particular feature I'd love to see is that I have the option to see different weather zones after my area. My work place is 1 hour driving from my place and it might be raining over there, for example. Anyway, so far so good. Keep it up!! Thanks again team.

Awesome and totally up in the morning. I’ve been using this app for a while now and I am waking up and getting ready on time. On this app you can set the alarm, put math equations on the alarm so that it won’t turn off unless you do the math equations, it can play music for you for your choice of time and it can tell you the news! Alarmy has done exactly what I wanted it to do and I am thankful for that! Hope that this review was helpful

Great App!. I totally recommend this app, it has helped me to get up so much quicker than before and even makes the experience enjoyable! I love the sleep music too, it’s very useful. I can’t think of any problems with this app it’s pretty much flawless. The variety of sounds to wake up to are amazing and the wake up activities have something for everyone! I have tried heaps of alarm tricks to get try and get up but this is the only one that really works well. The best thing about it is that it’s free! I seriously recommend downloading this 😊

Fantastic app if not for battery demand. I find this app fantastic and would happily rate it a 5/5, however I want this feedback to be seen by the devs. The app is fantastic and effective at being an alarm clock, however it drains the battery incredibly quickly, with the highest recorded power draw out of all of my apps, as long as it is still open in the background. If you forget to close the app properly in the morning it can easily lead to a dead phone by mid afternoon - but if you forget to restart the app before bed you will also be without the alarm.

It was amazing now I don’t know. Hey this alarm saved my life — iPhone alarm stopped working on me now don’t know why but it’s some default and it ruined appointments and important things. I have to have an alarm for me to wake up or forget it I won’t. Now I realised that I think this app has to be running in the background. The thing is how I can’t have the phone on loud because then I will get notifications etc so I put it on aeroplane mode And that works I tested it out and then it didn’t work so I’m gathering I can’t get rid of all the apps in the background and make sure this one stays.

ALARMY IS AWESOME. Alarmy offers innovative and creative solutions for people like me who can't get up on time even with an alarm clock. The app is really clever because it can actually force you to get out of bed. It's probably the most annoying alarm clock in the world. I like this app very much, because I can "design" my own unique way to wake up according to my own requirements. Also, I've tried a lot of apps, and so far, it works better than all the others.

More energetic and productive. I usually never write reviews but omg. This app. Has saved me SOO many hours of not-quite-sleeping-in after setting like 5 alarms + snooze button in the morning. Probably saving me from an average of 45mins of interrupted sleep per day! Would definitely recommend the QR/barcode scan - cut out an old barcode (mines from a tissue box) and stick it on the other side your bedroom. It’ll make you get outta bed in no time to turn the alarm off!

The app is amazing!. The apps irritating ringtone, the Orkney, encourages me to get up in the morning before I wake up anyone else In my family. How the app is completely free, and works really well. The timing works perfectly, with not a second to spare. I also love how the app has all of the options to do different things (such as math) etc. The only thing I found irritating, was how loud the Orkney sound was, but then just realised that I could put the alarms volume down via alarm settings-

Perfect alarm if you’re just not a morning person!. This app has given me the peace of mind that I won’t turn it off and go back to sleep. I particularly like the recording feature, I will sometimes record important reminders and it works wonders. Can’t fault it and I’ve been using it for quite a while now. It’s easy to use, set up and navigate. All the missions have various levels which is another great feature. Highly recommend this alarm app.

Effective alarm clock. I’ve always wanted to be an early riser. I feel like getting up an extra hour or two earlier would make my day much more productive. I tried to do this but I used to sleep for an extra hour after the alarm went off. Alarmy is an app that I’m in a love and hate relationship with. It’s effective to wake me up but super annoying because I have to force myself to go through a long process to turn my alarm of while still half asleep. I guess that’s what makes this whole thing effective

Don’t bother - more useless than default alarm app. I couldn’t update my review, this is my second. I have used this app for a year on Samsung (and enjoyed it) but on iPhone this alarm app is useless and somehow less functional on iPhone. They will not put speakers in maximum volume unless you pay, which in my eyes makes it less functional than the standard iPhone app. The App responded to my last review saying you can listen to “loud” alarms without premium, or that I need to contact tech support to report this, but that is their terminology for “loud”, the speakers are still limited and they promote being able to maximise sound as a premium feature. What a joke. Don’t waste your time with this money-hungry app, and don’t listen to all these glowing reviews as they’re probably before they got excessively greedy. The app is overrated.

Love it. Ok if you were like the old me then you would not wake up like at all but plz download this app and you will wake up. first of all it gradually turns up the volume so you can’t dose back to sleep because it will get louder and you can also do missions to turn off the alarm tip put the phone away from your bed so that have to get up to turn of the alarm and if you do the photo mission then do not take a photo of a detailed thing because it will take a long time to find the right position to turn off the alarm. Ps: I don’t have the premium version

DOWNLOAD NOW!! 😍 🚨. This is an AMAZING app, look I know a lot of people say that about all apps but I really mean it!!! You can set as many alarms as you like for anytime! You can customise your backgrounds and buttons. You can also access daily zodiac sign info ( lucky quote, lucky colour and lucky number ) NOT ONLY THAT BUT Alarmy also has a music feature where you can play peaceful sounds to put you to sleep, just set a timer and once it finishes your phone automatically turns off! This app also has little challenges you can complete ( if you want too ) like solving maths problems, completing puzzles and shaking your phone, these activities turn off the alarm so your more awake!!! I highly recommend this COMPLETELY FREE app and I love it so much, I use it everyday. Thanks for reading xx

Totally recommend this app😚. I don’t think I have ever found an app that actually buts me to sleep straight away! But then my friend recommended Alarmy to me and I thank her so much! This app is completely free and usable! There’s quick alarms which ring in an hour or so to remind u to do something. Ofc there’s the normal alarms that come with *missions* to wake you up. You can set snooze off so you don’t fall asleep again! There’s also a good variety of peaceful music there to put u to sleep! And it goes for an hour! When ur alarm goes off you can see the weather for your area, a daily horoscope reading telling you a lucky quote, color and number! It also tells you the news ; - ; Overall I highly recommend this app as it has put me back to a stable sleep schedule! Thanks for reading!

Good but missing the point. Okay firstly nothing to do with the app itself, but I couldn’t get the alarm to ring at 7am and when I woke up from my in case alarm, my 7am alarm didn’t sound but when I got on the app it proceeded to the “wake up brain activity” in which case it was the memory game. Nothing wrong with the actual app because I LOVE the features you put in but I think somethings wrong my iPhone or the settings for it. Can you please help me fix it?

Best substitute. my iphone clock thing is broken or some shjt and sometimes it doesnt ring at all even when i open sound and maxed volume (sometimes when i autoing some games when i sleep and i know the phone's clock rings and turn off right next second cuz i saw it once so theres no way to wake u up if u are sleeping) this thing is the one i found cuz i want a subs for that stupid clock and its been working perfectly for me

Life changing.. Hi. I'm a ten year old full time ballet dancer and coming up I had RAD awards and I did extra training and it caused a lot of pain everywhere. So when I slept it was very difficult. So I tried some apps to help me sleep. The best one was this one. When I can't sleep I just turn on the rain sounds and I will be asleep in minutes. It's also great to have a small brain challenge every morning to get my thoughts straight ! Love love LOVE this app and it helped me very much!

Great App!. Great app, gets me up immediately now. The design is quite simple and very easy to use. I would give a 5 star if there there were more options for nicer ringtones, sleep music, backgrounds and the bedtime timer was a nicer design like the classic iPhone one. Some of the setting options are a little confusing, for example “do not show force close warnings” and the “mute in dismiss mode”. Why not just allow the alarm to always sound even if on mute or phone is on do not disturb mode? It would also be great if the application took into account whether you were using headphones or not and automatically either played through the phone speaker or headphones. Overall the app is awesome and has definitely made it easier for me to get up in the morning. 100% would recommend for those heavy morning sleepers that struggle to get up.

Almost the perfect answer to my problems. The only thing this app doesn’t solve for me is being able to choose a particular date (not day) for the alarm (when it’s ages away). But it does let me “skip the next one” so that’s the closest I found so far. What I love is being able to set a different period for the snooze button, up to an hour. Before this app I had to snooze alarms every ten minutes, it was a nightmare of alarms ringing all day. Alarmy has definitely made my alarm problems a lot better!

The best app on the market. I have never had any issues with the app before, in fact this app is amazing! I only use the free version and it works amazing when I’m getting up early in the morning, or when I’m going to night shift. The rain sound is so soothing it makes me instantly tired listening to it! In saying that, being a user for years now, the previous updates had the time limit for the rain sound set as an hour. The timer is now set for half an hour. Sadly this interrupts me when I’m half asleep, meaning that I have to go onto my phone (waking me up more) to reset the sound. Hopefully there’s a way that this can be extended as I used to fall asleep without having to reset it. All in all this is my absolute favourite app for my alarm and I’m always recommending to others to jump on the bandwagon of Alarmy!

THE alarm app 😍. This app looks aesthetic and works SO WELL. My favourite thing is the variety of ‘missions’ you can choose from, so when the alarm goes off, you have to take a picture of something, or complete some math questions, or shake the phone. You can also choose how long snooze goes for. The alarm sounds are also wonderful, and it has some sleep sounds (sounds don’t help me fall sleep much, but other family members who use this app love the feature). It shows the daily panel, with a news and weather briefing. It also shows a horoscope (I don’t believe in that stuff, but I just ignore it). You can customise the colour theme and background image. This app is the best I’ve ever found. The only thing I would like is a stopwatch feature.

Great start to the day. I don’t think people understand how amazing this app truly is. I have trouble waking up in the mornings and if I do I always seem to be a unproductive mess, though I read somewhere that the first form of media, or neurological stimulus you take in, in the morning sets your routine for your day. So I looked around and found this app which starts my day with math equations, solving my wake up situation of not being able to turn it off until I am actually awake and starting my day by being productive. As a uni student being in a productive mindset is crucial and this should be advertised to student audiences! Remarkable app, I hope you can get this to function as a background app though, the notifications for closing it are annoying :)

Actually wakes me up. I’m a deep sleeper, thus have trouble waking up. I found myself in a position where I’d just sleep through the Apple alarm clock. I’ve been using this app for 100 days and it’s yet to fail me. I believe the reason for this is due to it being personalised - asks you questions so it can recommend a sound/sound sequence/vibration etc. I recommend this app to anyone who has trouble waking up and to anyone who needs a reliable alarm clock. This is all on the free version!

My Personal Review. I think Alarmy is a great app and it’s really good at waking you up. To wake you up it goes full blast and send you tons of notifications. I also really love we’re it tells you your star sign, how the days gonna be or the feeling your gonna feel, and your lucky number and colour. It makes me want to use the app a lot more. The only thing that I’m not looking forward to is how it said I was gonna have not a great day which I find true because I’m in a bad mood this morning. 😂😂👌🏻👌🏻 overall I find this app amazing! Keep up the good work!

Great app!. Great and easy to use with tons of cool features. I love the QR code scan feature - it makes you get out of bed to scan a QR code in your house. So smart!

Doesn’t work anymore…. Been using that for years, on vibration only (mute). However, it stopped going off around a week ago. Like, it does go off, there’s the notifications when it does, but it doesn’t vibrate. Nothing. I’m on iPhone, iOs 15.4.1 Please fix it, I don’t like waking up to sound, especially when my fiancée is sleeping next to me.

Used to work but not any more.. I’ve gotten late more than a few times already. It stopped working around the time they started introducing ads. Has gotten worse since. Instead of continuing to ring, the alarm somehow manages to mute itself. I can’t pinpoint what exactly is causing it as I’m so groggy when this happens. Which is why it’s taken me this long to switch apps. Would come back to this if they figured out how to fix it.

doesn’t work sometimes. I like it when it works, but it sometimes just won’t go off in the morning (on my iPhone SE) for reasons I can’t figure out.

DO NOT BUY!!. Especially if you have a IPhone. At least once or twice a week the ALARM just doesn't ring... ive arrive more frequently late at work ever since ive been using ALARMY!!! Ive got to set up an OTHER alarm just in case ALARMY is not ringing... SO WHY BUY THIS APP WHEN IT JUST DOESNT DO ITS ONLY JOB... RING!!! WHY DO YOU SELL AN ALARM APP WHEN IT DOESNT EVEN WAKES YOU UP!!! I REALLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS APP!!! DO NOT BUY!!!

Amazing. I have tried so many apps and this is by far the best it has an alarm that makes you do a task before it shuts off as well has music to make you fall asleep that I cannot live without I love this app highly recommend

It’s great. Alarmys amazing! It helps me wake up early as a deep sleeper

Great App- but way too expensive. 73$ a year! What is this nonsense all I want is the wake up check. I paid for a year of it only to come back to see they’ve bumped the price up again. Highway robbery.

Best alarm app. Never missed a fajr salah with it

Drains battery so fast. As titled

Alarm With Everything. I am 53 years old and this has got to be the best alarm clock app I have found, second to none besides our old fashioned clocks we put on the other side of the room to make us get up before we threw it out the window. The design team has thought of just about everything that could be done to avoid getting up and they keep adding more. There is now a wake up call (not just snooze but it checks to see you’re up). There are so many options for missions (I found out I can’t type with one eye open especially three full sentences but I was up after it). The alarms are horribly loud and annoying. Snooze options, missions to complete to turn it off (such as shake the phone 30 times), wake up checks, and now there is even a mode that will make you pay if you cheat the alarm. There are bedtime reminders, sleep sounds, analyze your sleep and snoring, horoscopes, weather, mood trackers and even a few you can charge yourself if you tend to try to cheat. So much more is included and it’s a well developed app and the best alarm I’ve ever had. Thank you Alarmy team. Sleep and wake time are critical in mood, thinking, overall physical feeling. Maybe next could me some about how much sleep does one need since I have heard different people require different amounts and that if you’re woken up at certain points of the sleep cycle you can completely change how you feel when you get up as well as your day. Anyway I rarely write reviews but this one deserves extra recognition. Keep going strong Team. You’ve nailed it in my eyes!

Absolutely Insane Pricing Model. $200 for lifetime Alarmy Premium?! Have your people completely lost their minds? It’s an alarm clock, get over yourselves.

Great app- taking up too much storage. I love the app and the idea of waking up my brain but this app takes up WAY too much storage on my phone

Battery drains like crazy. Battery drains like crazy

Could use improvement. UPDATE: I did like the app a lot when I bought it- had a few glitches but whatever. However these glitches are now making it near impossible to use the app. Also the prevent shut off setting “pay a fee” is so fricken scummy. I end up turning my phone off because of the glitches and then falling asleep- will not be renewing.

What kind of app charges someone for missing and alarm. This app does. This is ridiculous, I didnt sign up for the service but I uninstalled as I can’t, in good conscience, use or support disguised greed.

Ridiculous pricing. I’m all for people getting paid for the work they do on these apps and games, but $69.99 a year for an alarm clock? I don’t care how wonderful this program is, that is just insane. I saw the pricing and didn’t even bother checking out if it was good or now.

It works good!. I do like this app. It always gets me awake in the morning. However, every time I try to set custom music on my alarm, it just goes back to the default sound, then when I click on the alarm notification, it starts up and plays my custom music I selected. I’m pretty sure it’s something related to the app shutting down when idle for too long. But, if you are able to fix this problem, that would be great. Thanks!

Missed work because the alarm self muted itself..... Make it so that alarms will RING forever until turned off...AND if you have multiple alarms, the newest one SHOULD start sounding and replace the older alarm (if it’s still ringing)...don’t just auto mute after x mins or so.... Woke up to silence and looked at my phone- way past work!! Ugh it was still on alarm 1 out of 15 that I set...my phone ringer was on, volume on...

Drains battery. I've been a long time user of this app. Recently it started draining my phone's battery like there's no tomorrow. I am forced to remove the app.

Finally the good one!. I have tried sooo many alarms, maybe 25-30 different ones. No one was wow. Some of them I didn’t wake up as either button to stop was super easy to push, etc. However this one… is amazing! It has soooo many options, sooo many different ways to wake up, to make sure you wake up! I can snooze for 3 hours, always had hard time to wake up. With this, ouff, I wake up! Thank you for developing this!!

Slowing down. Ive used this app for probably 4 years now. Its great but slowing down because of all the features and bells and whistles being added. Maybe have a seperate app for the people that just want an alarm and another for the fancy stuff. Some mornings, I can’t turn off the alarm because its too slow. Other than that, great app

Alarm not ringing with dnd off, ringer on, and app open. Alarmy has been a game changer for me, like so many others. Way more effective for waking me up than other alarms I’ve tried. Problem is, in least several months, there have been several occurrences where I do not wake up on time since Alarmy rings without sound. This just happened again today, so I’ve spent a little time scrolling through other reviews, and the developed conclusion is that this should only happen if the phone is in silent/focus mode AND the app is closed. Last night, I had Alarmy open (on my screen) as I closed my phone, I turned on my ringer and set it to full, and my do not disturb turns off automatically way before my alarm is set to sound. But I still woke up to a vibrating alarm with no sound, hours later. This is extremely frustrating, especially since Alarmy has been my top alarm choice for some time. There have been a few occasions where I have supplemented my Alarmy alarms with other alarm sources just to make up for the lack in reliability. However, that is a hassle, so after multiple occurrences of no sound, I am considering looking for another service now if something doesn’t change soon. I hope Alarmy can fix this soon! I have enjoyed using the app otherwise.

Unreliable! Doesn’t ring sometimes. Literally my first time writing a review. It’s now been the 3rd time the alarm just hasn’t rang and I've missed an appointment. I saw it’s been notifying my phone for the past 2 hours without any sound. The thing is — when it does work, it works great. It’s a shame I have to delete it, but you need your alarm to work 100% of the time.

very pog. i keep deleting it when i wake up so that’s a downside

Unreliable and subscription plan is RIDICULOUS. I missed a few alarms with it, skip next function didn’t always work. It accounted for around 30% of my battery usage each day. Do I even need to say how ridiculous it is to charge monthly for an alarm app?? And it is VERY expensive for what it does.

Too much space taken. The app is really good but it's taking way too much space on my phone

Good app. This app will make you want to die, but it's effective.

Bad. Awesome when it works, horrible how often it doesn’t. I use QR code scan to wake up, a premium feature. This thing sometimes just sets itself randomly — as I’m going to bed, so I have to get up and scan it just to go to sleep. The thing is, I already did my QR code scan and turned the clock off earlier. So annoying — It just has way too many edge cases and random behaviors. Or the math equations, solve it 20 times and you’ll still have to do it again for no reason. Yes, I did the power off confirmation things and yes. It just randomly decides to go off and create issues for me

Alarmy is amazing. Think of Alarmy as a really good alarm clock with meditations as r and so muck more

Love it. It really helps!!

Love it so much. Love this App

Simple and free (you don’t need premium at all. Good

Subscription for an alarm?. Really? you want a monthly subscription for an alarm? I would understand if there were onetime purchase, but subscription!!! No way.

Good. Very Good

Alarm won’t go to device speakers if blue tooth on. I listen to audible on Shokz ear buds at night to help me sleep. They usually fall out in the night. I don’t hear Alarmy as it goes to the buds and I can’t stop it doing it so is essentially useless for waking me up in the morning. If I dont listen to music podcast etc I don’t go to sleep. Plus I cant find support for this issue

Cancelling subcription. Hi, I like this app but is expensive and trying to cancel the premium subscription but unfortunately I don’t see cancel option in my IOS. I really want to cancel this subscription, how do I do that?

To much space. The alarm is good but took 13 gb of space.

Good app. Don’t set unrealistic missions (missions you can’t complete). The only way to turn it off is to delete it. If you power your phone off it’ll start ringing again when you turn it on.

Don’t delete app.. I wish I didn’t easily figure out that by deleting the app will turn off the alarm and I’ll end up falling back to sleep... Seriously, this alarm is great. I just need something where I don’t figure out a loophole. 😅

love it!. great app! from a snooze addict, this has been a huge help!

Drains too much battery on the background. Good alarm but drains too much battery

Not a robot 😫🤚. It’s really good :) It would be nice if they had more ringtone options but its really good.

Perfect. Couldn’t ask for more in an alarm app. Truly a lifesaver

Very helpful. I’ve been struggling to wake up in the morning since 2021 when I had COVID. I’ve used this app for about 2 weeks now and it certainly has taken some getting use to but recently it’s been easier waking up, especially if you set up multiple tasks back to back (mine are math, memory, writing, and missing symbols). Only reason it gets a 3 is because you have to subscribe for some of the options like step counting or sleep tracking. I feel the developers would have more users if they were free and/or a one time payment.

If you see this review just make the purchase.. Truly a life changing app. I will give a quick breakdown of how I use mine in the morning. Alarmy continues to play the alarm until you start your morning mission but it doesn’t stop for good until you complete the mission. My first mission task is 10 squats(and yes you really do have to do them, I guess you could rapidly shake your phone as well but check this out) after my squats are complete, I have to scan the barcode on my toothpaste in the bathroom before it stops. I might as well have a personal trainer that shows up to my house to wake me up every morning.

App sometimes doesn’t work. Sometimes the alarms I set won’t even go off. When I wake up in the morning past when my alarm was supposed to go off, I’ll open this app to see what happened and then the alarm will start working. Very frustrating.

Won’t Ring!. I have been using this app as my reliable alarm for about 2 years now and all of a sudden, it just stopped ringing! I would normally give this app 5 stars but I have left emails about my issues and have yet to hear back. I know how to work the alarm by now. Ringer on, app open, my phone facing up, etc. The developers need to get on fixing whatever is causing my problem because I’m sure it can’t just be me. I have nearly been late to work but I am lucky because I usually run a backup.

$70 a year for an alarm app. Good app but the price is disgusting. I switched to a different app.

Doesn’t always go off. I love this app except for twice this week it hasn’t gone off making any sound. I open the app before bed every night to make sure it isn’t closed, and I missed two meetings because instead of making any noise, it was just sending silent screen notifications to my phone. Sadly, I’m going to need to use a different app now.

Broke this chronic snoozer!. This is the only alarm I’ve ever had that has worked for me. I was recommended it by a friend and I can’t thank them enough. I am a chronic hitter of the snooze button and I used to have to set at least 6 alarms per sleep. I would snooze ALL of them and take around an hour to wake up. I haven’t looked back since getting this app. I use the 3 math problems setting on hard difficulty I think (whatever starts to use parentheses) and it makes me use my brain hard enough that it just gets me up every time. Also, with the added panic of the timer, I know that I absolutely can’t close my eyes or the loud sounds will start again. Genius. Also, once I “win” and get all the math problems right, I love that my short little horoscope pops up so that my interest is piqued and attention is kept long enough that I start having some coherent thoughts and get up! I have not overslept in the last two years because of this app. The only time I have is because I either forgot about an appointment or never set the alarm in the first place, never because it wasn’t able to wake me. THANK YOU, ALARMY!

Costly over time. Let me first say that I love this app! It is feature rich, works great, and even alerts you if you close the app so that you won’t risk your alarm not going off just because you accidentally swiped close the app. The feature that works best for me is the “time pressure” feature. This feature is a premium feature—which means paying a monthly or yearly subscription fee. I’ve had the app for over a year now and have been paying a monthly subscription fee. However, I really just cannot justify spending that much on an app I will use for an indefinite period of time. I think asking people to pay $50-$60+ a year, depending on the subscription plan, is a bit steep—especially for an app. Maybe not for some people, but it definitely is for me as a student. I’d even happily pay a one time $50 payment to have the app and be done with it; or even have to deal with ads. I just wish there was a more cost effective option for students, and others with fixed incomes, that would like to access the premium features. This is why I am only able to give the app 4 stars instead of 5.

Changed my life!. I’ve never ever written an app review before- But! This alarm app is literally the most annoying most amazing and useful thing I’ve downloaded. I am a CHRONIC snoozer - when I’m just waking up I will absolutely do anything an everything to turn off my alarm and go back to sleep. Nothing could stop me, not putting my phone in another room, not setting multiple alarms or trying apps that track my sleep cycle, N O T H I N G worked! But this does! The wake-up sound I chose is awful (in a great way) And having to walk 200 steps to shut my alarm off (in combination with the 10 minute “hey, still awake?” Silent reminder that will start the alarm AND steps all over again if you don’t snooze it- has never NEVER failed me! I’ve had some amazing and beautiful mornings I would’ve just missed because of my lack of self control. Thank you so much to the people who made this app, you’ve made a wonderful thing and I am so grateful :)

Life Changing!. I almost never leave reviews for apps but I had to for this one. For the longest time I have had trouble waking up on time and then my entire day is thrown off as I rush to get ready and go. I downloaded this app on a whim and I have been using the free version (which I am usually skeptical about because most of the time if there is a free version and a paid version then the free one doesn’t work) which has worked amazing! The alarm is suuuuper loud, like impossible to sleep through and it makes me wonder how this app can magically make my phone have a louder volume. Anyway, I have this app set to ask my three math questions when the alarm goes off; if I try and turn the alarm off and go back to sleep, it sees that I didn’t answer the math question and the alarm goes off again, even louder. I HATE math. And yet, I am starting to love it and this app, now that I can get up on time. 5 stars all the way, I’m serious, if you are bad at waking up, you HAVE to try this app, it is life changing.

Thinking about buying the premium. This app is super amazing and useful. I am a super deep sleeper and have only been able to wake up when people are talking to me and also have the tendency to fall back asleep, but this app has lots of measures put into place to help. It grows louder every second you don’t turn it off. You get a morning exercise to get your brain going and start your day which you get to determine the difficulty of, and you can change all sorts of alarms, all of them loud. The only thing I didn’t like is that you have to completely enter the app to dismiss it. Also, the only reason I got the premium was bc of the free trial and I feel that it is super cool, you get more exercises to choose from, you can submit a recording to wake you up, and if you struggle with falling back asleep, the premium allows you to add an alarm where, if you don’t turn it off in a certain number of minutes immediately, you have to start over again. Overall, this app has worked super well for me and I really like it.

A Few Issues That Need Improvment. Alarmy is a great alarm, it really is the devil’s alarm clock as it almost never fails to wake it up. Honestly I think I might have gone a little deaf from the alarms. Although Alarmy is great it has a few issues. Firstly if you turn off the alarm, set it aside, and leave it on the screen with the weather and stuff, your next alarm will not play. Second sometimes when I plug in my phone while using the alarm it won’t work, I really don’t know why this happens but it definitely needs fixing. My final issue isn’t as much as an issue as a suggestion to improve the app. I really think you should be able to name your alarms for more ease of use. I like to have many different alarms for many different things and I’d like to be able to quickly sort through my alarms and find out which is which. Despite its issues Alarmy is still the best alarm out there, I used to always sleep through my alarms and clocks but almost never do with Alarmy, it has a few issues but they can be worked around and the app overall is still great. I wouldn’t recommend any other alarm clock or app as Alarmy really has helped me in getting up on time.

Love the alarm and all its features, question choices in news feed. The alarm app is great and helpful. However there is a bug I found that when I use my own music for the alarm sound, any time I turn off an alarm it will open and start playing music in my music app! This is extremely annoying, so I can’t use any music as an alarm sound. The other thing I don’t always like is the news feed...I don’t know who picks the stories and post them, but numerous times there have been serious events occurring both locally and around the world and there’s no mention on my news feed...just now for example the top story is about how a video game, Destiny, is back on line after an emergency shut down and fix versus a story about North Korea launching missiles, a bridge collapsing and hurting many people in Taiwan, more than 1,600 people dying in a massive monsoon in India today, numerous stories about President Trump’s possible impeachment, etc...!! Gee IDK, but I would think that any me of these stories is just a little more important than fixing a bug in a video game!!!! 🙄

This app changed my life!. I take medication at night that makes me wake up feeling super tired. I used to set 10-15 alarms just to make sure I got out of bed. I’ve tried so many different ways to get myself out of bed, but tired morning me always finds a way to get around waking up. My brain ended up getting used to hearing the alarm and started to associate it with hitting the snooze button, instead of associating it with actually waking up. Now, as soon as I pick up my phone to turn off my alarm I am forced to use my brain by doing very basic tasks that seem impossible when you’re tired and lazy. My two favorite “missions” to complete are the memorize game and the barcode scanner. With the scanner l like to make the mission to scan an item in my kitchen, so I literally have to get out of bed. Also, the ringtones are 10/10. I’ve been using the app for a few weeks and the first few notes of “Orkney” bring me out of my precious slumber every time without fail. Amazing app. Thanks to the people who dreamed this app into existence (I had to).

Great wake. I started 61 days ago and have used it most of the time I go to school 6 day a week and use this app 5. It is a great app the only down side is if you want all the wake up dings and dongs you have to pay. All though I understand the reason is so they have some why to make money off the app but it is still a great app even if you don’t put money on it. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of 5 was because it had some flaws but most of them I have been fixed or I have just got better at using. At the begging I tried the picture one and it did not work right because when my wake up alarm goes off my light is off so you have to turn it on and than take the picture with is a little you are a little tried. And I bet most of you guys reading this are too because you are getting this app. I recommend the shake on it really wakes you up and you choose how many times you shake it. Over all I will say it is great app for people that have a hard time warming up.

Always snoozing, late, or never heard alarm.... I am THE person who hates mornings. I am a night owl. In the mornings, I would either snooze all 20 of my alarms or somehow sleep through them and then they would just turn off. I was always late to work or whatever else in the mornings. However, with this app I wake up most of the time on my first alarm because I use math problems, shake it or the memory problems. I actually look forward to my alarm because I find the problems fun. I do still set at least 3 alarms with this app but that is because I’ve been known to be awake and somehow and still fall back asleep. Also, with each alarm I set I use a different type of problem to help stimulate my mind. Every couple of weeks I switch my alarm sound and the problem just so I do not get used to the same thing. I haven’t slept through this alarm app yet. There are also other options you can use but some of them are locked until you get the premium version (pay for that) but I just use the basic version and it suits my needs perfectly.

Sometimes works, sometimes doesn’t.. Not sure what the deal is. I always keep the app running in the background, I always turn silent mode off when I set my iPhone X down to charge for the night, and I restart the app regularly. I tried to follow the instructions in the app’s info section, but actual results are ambiguous. The alarm goes off inconsistently, sometimes ringing, other times silent. I wear my apple watch to sleep to track heart rate and sleep data, and the watch always vibrates when the alarm goes off, but the iPhone X only sometimes rings. I had high expectations for this app given its great rating on the App Store, but it’s not dependable enough for me to trust right now as I’ve already been late to work and school a few times past due to its occasional failure to ring. For the developers, I see you’re very active in responding to reviews like these. I’ll do my best to provide you with information about my configuration that may help you replicate my observations. I appreciate your involvement and responsiveness, that’s what motivated me to leave this review. Thanks for working so diligently on this app, it makes life better for everyone.

Only one complaint.. I usually can sleep through most things so this type of alarm is good because it has many different settings. Like alarms where it sounds like the fire alarm in your school is going off or alarms that sound like sweet melodies. The different activities you can do to make sure your awake is actually really interesting because I feel even though I have to use my 2 brain cells to figure out what 76+8 is, I feel my brain expanding to 3 cells. A real big change. The only complaint I have is the waking system with the picture thing. AHHHHHHHHHHH, I HATE IT SO MUCH!!! Every time I put a picture in because the one before wasn’t working, I always have to stand there for 10 minutes trying to shut my alarm off and trying not to wake the rest of my family. It wants an exact replica of the original photo but I don’t remember the angle of which I was at or the height I stood at. That really is my only complaint. I do hope you get this app and do not use the picture mode. Bye! -Stephanie

Lifesaver!. I was ALWAYS late before I downloaded this app. I’ve lost about 5+ jobs due to being late, it’s like there was absolutely NO solution to my problem! I researched everything, but without being able to get out of the bed, nothing would work. Then I found this gem! The app itself (Free version) I give 3.5-4 stars. It could still work for a lot of people I’m sure. However, I pay 4.99+tax a month for the premium version, and the features it comes with makes it worth every penny. With the paid version one of the “missions” to turn off the BLARING alarm is typing the motivational quotes given. No autocorrect, you have to use the correct grammar and punctuation, and set as many quotes you feel you need to wake you up. There’s other missions and typing categories, but I choose the motivational quotes and memory blocks. The quotes work much better for me. It does a wake up reminder with the paid version (I’m very prone to falling back asleep), says the date and time aloud with your alarm, increases the volume after 40 seconds, along with a few other awesome features. Top 5 apps of all time for sure.

Love the vibrate to sound options. I tried this app to stop waking up a housemate with my previous alarms; I wake up at 3:00am and everything is very quiet so I needed something that was strong enough to wake me but not strong enough to wake people around me in the same room. I only get between 4-5 hours sleep so my alarm is what makes or breaks the start of my day being on time. I needed something with heavy vibration and a softer sound that ascends slowly, this app has that!!!!! I think it it’s a great app and has various combos and sounds you can use. I found some that are positive, feel-good musics and ascend slowly yet have major vibrations from the start. I don’t use the mental stimulations because once it goes off I’m typically quick to rise. On the contrary I do wish I could turn it off easier. I believe that’s a main point of this app, to not be able to just hit snooze, but there are some moments I would like to just lay there and easily in the dark hit “no sound” or “off” quickly; I only have that short bit of ascension before the sound grows to where my roommates are waken. Still this is an amazing app! Gem of a find!

Great! Wake me every time, but don’t forgot to turn it off!. This alarm app has woken me up ever time it’s gone off. I have it set to make me go scan a barcode in the kitchen. I have multiple set just in case I’m a dirtbag and go back to bed. I forgot to turn one of them off today and one went off when I was already at work. Let me tell you, this app is PERSISTENT. It will not turn off for anything. I had to delete it just to get it to turn off. Closing the app in the background doesn’t work and there’s no secondary measure just in case. It will go off thill you do the thing you’re supposed to do. Which is good. Creators, don’t read this and add anything. Cause if there was something else I could do I would do it in bed when it goes off. The only reason I don’t delete the whole app every morning is cause I’m lazy and I do t want to have to re-download it later. Great app. Definitely recommend if you have a hard time making yourself get up.

AMAZING. i swear by this alarm. i honestly have no clue what I ever did without it. you can set recurring alarms, so i have one set for school each day. although this is not required, you can set tasks to help wake you up. that happens to be my favorite part. my task is that i have to take a photo of my hallway, or else it will keep ringing. this may sound like a torture, and it is in the morning, however it is the only way to ever prevent me from going “5 more minutes” and end up falling asleep again. if you do get this, remember to set an alarm 5 minutes afterwards (a normal alarm) just in case you forgot to set it, your phone was on silent, etc. you cannot sleep with focus mode on, as that silences every app INCLUDING alarmy. i created a specific focus mode and titled it “sleep,” only allowing me to receive notifications from alarmy. additionally, always remember to take your phone off of silent mode. if you do all of this - specific focus, silent mode off, and an alarm set for 5 mins after, you are guaranteed to wake up IMMEDIATELY. ahhh i cant express how much i appreciate alarmy<3

If you set 10 alarms - you need Alarmy!. I am a chronic over sleeper. I’m also a Mom and responsible for getting my children to school on time which I have struggled with. I’ve gone to bed early, I’ve set multiple alarms to go off at different times, I’ve asked friends and family to call me in the mornings to make sure I’m awake - nothing seemed to work. Today was my first time using Alarmy and I was awake at 6:45 like I intended to be. I used the type sentences option and fell back asleep while typing - and Alarmy was prepared for that and continually woke me up. I hate being a heavy sleeper and it’s something that’s caused major conflict in my life, my children’s, my family - until now. I am so excited about this app and I’ve already sent it to several other Moms I know that struggle with oversleeping like I do. Excellent app that anticipates all the classic oversleep errors people make when the alarm goes off. Some people just can’t wake up when one alarm goes off - if you’re one of those people GET THIS APP AND START GETTING UP ON TIME

Actually works, every time. I usually don’t do reviews, I usually only do them when they have a problem or bug. And well... this review is not because of that, this app is great and actually works. Look, I am a DEEP sleeper and have trouble waking up on normal alarm apps, probably because they don’t have much creative ways to wake you up. This one comes with smart stuff, missions help me get up and actually wake up to do stuff and actually wake up on time, AND I HATE waking up super early for important stuff, and well, this helps. I love your alarm ideas, some are fun and others are so annoying and loud, which of course helps a lot. B͙U͙T͙ not all apps are perfect, the only problem I ever had was the extras stuff got to many link redirect which I couldn’t blame them for that because well they probably didn’t see that the max link redirects was reached. But still, great app, it helps you get up, and it’s creative. All the stuff needed to make a great alarm app. Thank you for reading and have a GrEaT ReSt Of YoUr DaY ๏[-ิ_•ิ]๏

Works great… 95% of the time. This app is by far the best alarm app I’ve found. I would give it 5 stars except for one huge issue… it doesn’t go off sometimes! Before I realized that it had a bug like this, I would set always only 3 alarms on the app and turn my volume up, just like I do every night. But then I ended up not being woken up a few times because the alarm sent vibrating notifications instead of making any noise. (And no, there was nothing different with my phone settings and I opened the app right before I went to sleep, bc I read that could be why. I realized it happens randomly, you can’t do anything to fix it.) So now I set 6 alarms on my phone clock and the 3 alarms on this app and that way, I’m able to wake up even when this alarm doesn’t work. This morning I woke up late bc my phone alarm from the clock app was going off and I saw that I had 30 notifications from this app, but they made no sound so I wanted to write this review. Overall, I recommend it, but make sure you set a back up alarm! I was 3 hours late to thanksgiving with my family last year because I didn’t know about the bugs with this app.

Great for snooze button addicts. For years I had to set 5-8 different alarms just to get up in the morning. I love this app!!! It gets me up after just one alarm. I love that this version allows you to wake up to play a memory game, which, though slightly incoherent as I wake up, I enjoy solving. Bonus is that it allows you to select songs from your music library. The music gets progressively louder the longer you keep from opening it and working on the solution or “mission.” If you don’t solve correctly, it will go off again, guaranteeing you don’t go back to sleep. Finally, I really like that it tells you, as you start to adjust to the time you want to wake up, how much time you have to sleep before the alarm goes off. It’s a good reminder to have when you’re getting only about 4-5 hours of sleep a night and you want to make sure you do get that much and not less. Highly recommend for anyone else who needs extra help getting up in the morning.

Get this app.. Okay. Listen up. I am a 25 year old with a job that I work morning to night with. I had a alarm clock before Alarmy, It would never go off, or it would go off at the wrong time. I had different people set it for me just in case I was doing it wrong. Nope! It was just the alarm clock, I have read that a lot of alarm clocks do that. I decided to get a online alarm, and I found Alarmy. It has always gone off! I love all the different ways you can choose to be woken up by! Such as.. Well a normal alarm, Shaking it, Math problems.. etc. Only two of them are locked! Most other sites everything thing is locked except for about one thing!!! It also saves your alarms. Whoever made this, Good job! Huge success! I would definitely choose this alarm app. Good quality, I have had it for about 3 years now. It has never failed me. Y’all this alarm clock is loyal. Download it today. Best quality, never fails, Great noises! P.S This is the very first app I have every writer a review for. That shows something. Once again. DOWNLOAD!!!!

A game-changer. I’ve always had a bad habit of turning off an alarm and immediately falling back asleep, to the point where I spent most of college physically hiding my phone in random places before bed to make sure I actually got up. Alarmy’s barcode scanner function gives me the same result, plus I can keep my phone next to me and charging at night. The barcode scanner is also an amazing fool-proof medication reminder. It’s honestly a necessity to anyone taking something like birth control where missed dosages are bad news. Alarmy also has great customization features, like setting the length and number of snoozes you can use. I’ve found that setting an alarm for 15 minutes before I need to actually be up and about, and allowing for three 5-minute snooze periods is perfect for me. The only problem I've encountered is when an item your supposed to scan/photograph isn’t available. I’ve forgotten cancel a barcode scanner alarm when I went out of town a couple of times now and could only turn it off by completely uninstalling the app and having to start from scratch. A solution I’ve seen on similar apps is for scanning to be automatically disabled when it detects you’re away, either through location services or being disconnected from your home WiFi. Overall, love this app. I’ve tried other barcode alarms but none have the wide variety of extra features Alarmy does. I recommend it to all of my friends and will continue to do so for as long as it exists.

A Huge Quality of Life Improvement. I don’t want to use cliches too often, but I sincerely mean it when I say that Alarmy had been life-changing for me. Alarms always used to be more like minor statistical improvements to waking up on time, which frequently made me late to things and more unreliable. The best way to be up on time was to go to bed early, but I often have problems getting to sleep at night, so that’s a toss-up too. This alarm can force me to get up and move across the apartment to scan a barcode in my bathroom to turn it off, it never stops until I complete my task (and I can stop worrying about endlessly snoozing it), and the volume seems louder than other apps I’ve tried. Half-Awake Me is a selfish, self-destructive monster who can justify any amount of extra minutes sleeping, so it’s nice to find an app to take as much power away from her as possible. I recommend this to people all the time, and therapists I know have started recommending it to clients with sleeping issues. This has been a major part of improving my life lately, so thank you sincerely to the developers.

Perfect for this night owl with an early morning job!. My whole life I’ve been a night owl but I recently got a job that requires me to be there at 6 am! I was ok about getting up but unhappy about it. I started sleeping through more and more of my 12 alarms and showing up for work later and later. That and my SO was getting really annoyed at 12 alarms going off while he’s trying to sleep. I downloaded this planning to use the math one but saw they had a picture option instead and it works amazing! I uses picture of a vase in my kitchen so I literally have to get up and out of bed and into the kitchen to shut it off. And then it’s literally closer to the area I get ready than it is to the bed. The only thing that would make it better is an option to change how long you get from the alarm time to the time you have to take the picture by since it usually takes me longer than the current time to even get to the kitchen! Other than that total lifesaver! Thanks so much for the app!!!

What the heck?!. This app is literally magic. I’m not gonna lie, I was very skeptical of this app even with all the great reviews I had read. For the past month I had been waking up between 4pm and 6pm and I knew this app would probably be my last chance to get up at a normal time (I haven’t found another app like it). Well guess what? It’s now 8am and even though I went to sleep at 3am (that’s never gonna change) I am awake and don’t feel crappy the way I usually do when I wake up so early. I used the barcode scanner and scanned a book on the other side of my room that was under a large stack of books. I also experimented with the app a bit and tried to swipe out of it completely. The alarm kept going! I honestly think the only way to turn the alarm off would be to shut my phone down but since I don’t see myself doing that, I think this app is finally the alarm that will work for me. My sleep schedule is still horrendous but at least I know I can actually wake up before 9am without feeling awful. Thank you Alarmy!

Good alarm app. This is a great alarm, although beware to make sure you set the picture right otherwise you will be in for a fun surprise in the morning. The first night I used this I accidentally set the picture to the picture of a waterfall I’d taken, during a trip to Yellowstone, instead of the intended kitchen sink. I woke up the next morning to see the picture, and realized it was gonna be quite the long day. I got in the car, drove the entire day until I finally arrived at the waterfall. But, in my stupidity, I’d set the sensitivity to high, which meant I had to wait till the sun was fully out to get the lighting right. After the alarm was finally turned off, I traveled home to find that my wife had left me along with the kids. She left me a note, saying that she hoped I was happy with whoever I ran off with, since I was clearly not happy with her. I tried to call and explain, but my phone had died from constantly ringing for the last 24 hours. So in the end, it’s a great app, but be careful or you might lose everything you ever loved. 5 out of 5 stars.

Changed my life. Thank you Alarmy for changing me life. This alarm is amazing and has been the key factor in getting me healthy. For a long time I have struggled with being very overweight and have tried to get into shape and go to the gym but I unfortunately am able to turn my alarms off without waking up and as a result always sleep in too late. This has been very disappointing. I discovered this app after looking for tips on helping me to go to the gym and I immediately fell in love with it. It’s the only alarm I use now and I have it set to scan a barcode downstairs to force me out of bed. I now go to the gym every morning and have been so thankful for this app getting me healthy again. I recommend it to everyone who asks how I’ve lost weight and for anyone struggling to motivate yourself. If your looking for something to push you to make a change, or put a fail safe in place then this is the app you need. 5 stars does not do this app justice. Thank you Alarmy for changing me life!!!

Waking up with a sleep disorder. I used this app for a long time in conjunction with the regular iOS alarm clock and usually after about 10 set alarms, I’m able to get through the sleep inertia to finally wake up. It helped for a while but recently it started glitching so instead of it showing up on my phone when it goes off and being unable to exit out until I do the memory puzzle, it just starts going off and I have to unlock my phone and find the app to do the challenge. This morning I couldn’t get through the challenges even with them being correct and because it wouldn’t exit out of the app, it kept going off and I eventually had to turn my phone off. When I turned it back on, my phone was blaring immediately without the app even being open. I turned it off and back on and quickly deleted the app so it would stop. Outside of glitches here and there (although consistently now), it was a good aid in trying to wake up in the morning…lots of options to mix things up for multiple alarms.

very good app!! -chronic over sleeper. it took me a bit to figure out what works for me, but now i have a picture of my contact case that i keep in the bathroom as the thing to turn off my alarm. i’m a chronic over sleeper, especially during the winter, and this has been so helpful!! it’s especially wonderful because it has the option to turn off snooze. if i can snooze, i snooze ETERNALLY. i use the free version of the app, but it works well for me!! i have a few mental health disorders that also make it REALLY hard to get out of bed sometimes but i’ve found that the hardest part about waking up is actually just getting myself physically out of bed. highly recommend for everyone with oversleeping issues!! the only thing i’ve had issues with is that if you close the app out, the alarm doesn’t ring right. however they do send you an alert if you accidentally close it out and you have an alarm set which is very good!! overall it’s a wonderful app and i highly recommend it!!

Alarm not working right. This app is great and considered my favorite one out of them all, but at times it has a mind of its own it seems. Having a hard time trusting it. I set an alarm for 6:00 am mon through fri, on Monday my alarm went off at 6 am no problem then on Tuesday my alarm went off I woke up to it looked at it to shut it off my clock said 7:00 but yet my alarm was set for 6:00 am not 7 am can’t figure out way the day before it went off on time fine and then the next day go off at a time it’s not even set for. I checked for updates there were none, phone was not in silent was not in a do not disturb mode obviously because it went off just not at the time I set it for but yet it was set to go off at 6 am but went off at 7 am instead but yet I made no changes to the alarm. There have been other sporadic times that the alarm would simply just not go off at all. Hope you get this fixed other wise might have to consider other options I can’t afford for this to keep happening all the time. Please fix this!!!!!!!

Life-changing. I don’t typically write reviews, but I had to for this app. All my life I’ve had an incredibly difficult time waking up in the morning. I would unconsciously shut off all of my alarms and would have full conversations with people and not even be awake enough to realize I was doing it. It got to a point where I was contemplating whether or not to go to a sleep doctor to figure out if there was some sort of medical reason that I was having so much difficulty waking up in the mornings. I started using this app as a last result and have found incredible success. Since using this app, I’ve been able to create a sleep schedule (which has been nearly impossible for years), and wake up feeling rested for the first time in a long while. I love that there are so many features to use so that you can truly find whatever works best for you. My personal favorite it the picture function. It requires me to get up and moving and to focus to make sure the picture is just right. I’ve already been recommending this app to friends and family :) I would absolutely recommend!!

Amazing. I think that Alarmy is awesome because you can have so many options for everything. My mom told me that she was getting tired of waking me up every morning. So, I went out to target to get an alarm clock. When I got it, i opened it up and tried it out. I set the time and a test alarm. The alarm didn’t go off for so long. It was also not loud at all. So, I said, “ Just lets go to bed and test it out.” So, I was late for school the next day because I didn’t wake up. My mom told me that I had to wake myself up or I would be late to school because I didn’t go to school after she left home. I went on social media and asked people what the thought was the best alarm. A lot of people recommend Alarmy. So I got the app. So,set an alarm for the next morning and I put my phone all the way across the room so no matter what I had to get up. That day I went back into bed because i didn’t set the Mission. The next day I set the mission for the shake one. So I had to shake it and I was earlier to school. Now, Alarmy sends me notifications to set the alarm. I love it.

Built in speakers bug edited. Edit: Thanks for the feedback, the strange thing is is that it has been working consistently for a few days after testing it again. Im not lying it really did not work for some time. If I come across the issue again I’ll try to figure out what causes it. Believe me, I understand what its like to try and debug something without being able to replicate the issue. If it happens again, I’ll try to figure out how it happens. Ive used this app for years but have never reviewed until now due to an annoying bug. The main reason i use this alarm is because it will use the built in speakers while earphones are plugged in, at least it did. I cannot remember when this first started but ive used this app to fix my sleep schedule; now i need help again but I am inconvenienced since i fall asleep to asmr with headphones. I tried toggling the setting like an on/off switch and tested with the earphones in and it did work, but that morning it only came through the earphones. Imagine my disappointment. Please fix, ive tried looking into other alarms but I appreciate what this app has.

Annoyingly Effective! It works!. I am terrible morning person and often sleep through multiple alarms. This alarm app gets me up! I use two timers on this app and still use two others as backup, but this is my primary. I use the math equation option. I keep it simple enough to do quickly but steps up from 2+2. One alarm is set on the rooster sound to get me moving. The next is a very loud warning sound for which I must do the math the shut off. One thing that is sort of annoying is that there’s not always a pop up notification to access the app to do said equation. I wind up scrolling through the phone for the app. Even upon opening it, I just sort of stab at it until it give me the numbers. It’s really frustrating but maybe that’s the point and why it wakes me. The only reason it lost a star is because they place an ad smack in the middle of the screen which is unpleasant to look at, easier to hit by mistake when setting alarms or when stabbing at the app, as previously mentioned, you can’t help but hit it. Ads (on the edges or pop up) are annoying as it is but I find the placement of their add takes that last star off.

From Helping Me Sleep to Helping Me Wake Up It’s Amazing. I can’t praise this app enough! It has a wide variety of alarms and alarm modes that really encourage the user to wake up and get moving. Two of my personal favorites are the memory and math setting. The memory setting ensures I am mentally awake and has also increased my spatial memory. My other favorite is the math setting because it also ensures I am awake and has improved my mental math. One of the best parts about the alarm functions is there are multiple different settings to ensure the difficulty level is the right one for you. The app also houses a wide variety of sounds including typical alarm ones and even ones I would never think of. I always use the music selection one, but the options are nice. You can also change the loudness of the alarm sound so that it’s loud enough to wake up the deepest sleepers and quiet enough to wake up the lightest. As if that wasn’t enough, the app houses sounds to fall asleep to like thunder and ocean. This app is a 10 out of 5 and I would recommend it to anyone.

Amazing. I didn’t know Alarmy existed until my mom said that I need a better way to wake up then just Apple alarms and I searched “alarm apps to help wake up.” I showed my mom and she said we could try it out. I’ve been using it since the first day of school which was back in August and the only thing I use apple alarms for is to remind me when my after school activities start and when I should leave. The first setting I started with was shake but I found a loop hole around that with the sensitivity, I would set it on a low sensitivity and shake it and go back to bed. Now I use the picture setting. Every morning I would have to take a picture of my Whales flag’s dragons toe that’s across my room. I have blackout curtains so I would have to get up and turn on the light which wakes me up anyways. To stay awake I would have my room light on anyways but to stay twice awake I would read the Fortune it gives me. By that time I’m already awake and have my glasses on. This app is amazing and I’m so happy I found it. I’m not late for the bus anymore. Thanks Alarmy

When Working Well A+. However.... I initially thought this cool app changed my life: no more getting out of bed late, thinking ‘I’m up, I’m up!’ only to find myself 40 minutes late after dismissing several alarms. Alarmy changed all that, and I sang it’s praises to everyone with an iPhone. Solve math problems before taking your head off the pillow?! Shake the phone until you’re so annoyed you have no choice but to get up?! AND a white noise feature with different options of sound? An insomniac’s dream come true! Until my new best friend failed me. Miserably. It stopped making sounds, just shooting notifications on the home screen with no noise to accompany the messages. Now, when I just dismissed one alarm, two other alarms shut themselves off as well. Luckily I solved the math problems and didn’t need the others, but my dismay at seeing those extra alarms turn off in their own prompted me to write this review. When it’s working, it’s amazing!!! But if it’s not, let’s just say don’t rely on this app TOO much. If it’s too good to be true, it usually is!!!

Reliable, Easy to Use, Don’t need to spend a dime (but it’s worth it if you do). I’m definitely a heavy sleeper and very quickly get used to alarm noises so I don’t wake up for them or don’t stay awake beyond shutting them off. The alarm included with my phone was basically useless to me so I was suggested Alarmy and I haven’t looked back since. All of the alarm noises are awesome ranging from a gentle wake up to like there’s a nuke going off outside types. The tasks you have to complete to shut them down are also a amazing way to get yourself up and going in the beginning of the day especially the math problems. (I never knew how hard 7+9 could be until I had to do it while half asleep) and that’s just the free stuff. I have spent money with this app while I was splurging and you mostly just get some different tasks to choose from like writing out a motivational sentence to start the day with or taking a few steps both of which are good ways to get the day started. All in all Alarmy has more than earned it’s time downloaded on my phone.

Great app. Easy to use. Just don’t forget to turn off alarms you don’t need or you will be trying to do do math/jumping jacks/etc in the middle of a zoom meeting. On that note, I’ve gotten way better at math… if you can multiply when you are barely awake, you can multiply any time! I also don’t recommend the picture option unless it’s something where the lighting doesn’t change, otherwise that’s a great choice. The power was out in my house one time and that was an issue. It’s kind of nice that it shows you news in the morning, though that gets me in trouble sometimes because I’ll lay there reading articles longer than I should. Using one of the physical alarms would probably solve that. I’ve never gotten the paid version, but the free version is great. One thing to note, set up a regular alarm as a backup, it’s only happened one time, but my phone did a big update while I was sleeping and didn’t push any app notifications until after I had signed in and “set up the iphone”.

Really good! Just a few things…. I’ve used Alarmy for 2 months and I want to start off by saying that this app has helped me so much! I use the memory game in the morning and the random sound to wake up. It wakes me up and keeps me awake (which I sometimes don’t like lol) I have ADHD, anxiety, and OCD and I’ve had a lot of trouble sleeping in the past. I use the fireplace sounds to fall asleep and I think I like it more than a full-on meditation so far. The only thing is that the picture task is very particular. I set that when I first got the app and even though I took a picture of the right thing, my alarm would keep blaring. Which brings me to my next point. If you get this app, turn down the sound in the app to about 50%. It’s set to 100% automatically, so when I couldn’t get it to turn off, it was hurting my ears and probably waking my family up and I had to power my phone off. Thanks for reading this review and have an amazing day. P.S- I’m going to high school next year and I think this app will really help me with that

Read me before downloading this app. I used to love this “free” app. It would help me stay on track in the mornings. I have been using it for months without realizing how much it has been costing me. However, this morning, I figured out that Alarmy has been draining my battery virtually 24/7 with background activity. This morning, I found it used 45% of my battery in the last ≈24 hours. I am deleting this app and I hope that they can fix this. Also, I think I see a glitch that is unintended. First, I can play “inspiring morning light” without premium for my wake-up song, even though the section has the premium ribbon on it and I don’t have premium. Second, any of the other songs in the premium section require me to watch an ad to use them, but because of parental restrictions, I can’t watch them. However, I found this glitch where if I select one of the premium songs and then tap on “choose a song from iTunes” without allowing the app to access iTunes, it lets me use the premium song without subscription nor ad. I think it is unintended and it kinda feels like stealing from the owners, so I thought the owners might like to see this so they can fix it if they want to.

It’s helped so much!!. I have serious sleep issues. And by sleep issues, I mean waking up issues!! My regular alarm eventually became near worthless because in my sleep, or heavy grogg of the “snooze” part of sleep/wake, I would just hit the side buttons of my phone so much until it would “shut up!”, in turn turning off my alarms, and leaving at least 5 screen shots of my alarm/Home Screen in my photos. I needed help! Enter Alarmy!! This app has definitely helped me wake up by not allowing me to turn it off with side buttons!! I actually have to do something: math, memorization, steps, take a picture, type a quote out perfectly! Plus the sounds, back-up sounds, personal label, and the days update (weather, time, etc) has been loud and annoying enough to wake my groggy snooze brain! Plus! If I do happen to get through ALL OF THAT, there’s a fail safe, the “are you awake” part of it all, which just starts these alarms all over again if you fall back asleep. 10/10 would recommend for anyone having trouble waking up!!!

Battery Issue!. I love this app, but the battery drain from it is so significant that I’m looking for something to replace Alarmy. I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max, so it’s not old by any means. This is the only app I’ve downloaded in several weeks or change I’ve made with my phone usage in months. I have always had multiple weather apps run on background, for example, while receiving alerts. I have several social media and news apps that run on background that send multiple notifications throughout the day. Shopping apps, banking apps, email apps, all are being frequently used (way more than Alarmy) and they all are running on background and sending notifications. Yet the night I downloaded and used this app is when I started having battery drain. Yes I have tried turning off background run once I’m awake and turning it back on just before I go to bed. I can’t imagine how much worse it would be if I left it run on background all the time. When exactly is this going to be fixed? Why does it need to run on background anyway? Is this problem only on the free version? TLDR. Pros: it’s simple, easy to use, has lots of free options for both the alarm and the shut off method. 1 con that negates all pros: going from 24-48 to BARELY 12 hour battery life on a 2 year old phone.

The Best Alarm and the only alarm that can Wake anyone up. This app is so sensibly designed. It has so many options that can be used to really get over the habit of snoozing. This app has melodious nature tunes that sounds so natural in the early morning rather than annoying loud common tunes. The idea of selecting appropriate game based on how much work you would like to give your brain the first thing in the morning takes away the stress of dismissing alarm and can be used by even young kids of 7+ years. The setting of rounds helps you to be completely awake before you unconsciously doze off again. Fun part is it is smart too, it starts over from 1 if you happen to sleep in between completing all the rounds. I am surprised by the idea that is put into building this app and the way logic is set up to actually serve the purpose. No wonder all YouTubers talking about waking up early is mentioning about this. This is totally a worth it app to download by default. Kuddos to all the people behind this app, you have made waking up early a nice experience to even deep sleepers and snoozers. Thank you!

Best Alarm I’ve Ever Had. I am almost 30 and I’m the absolute worst at waking up in the morning. Growing up, I used to drive my mom crazy because I have some sort of magically ability to go back to sleep no matter how many times she tried to wake me up. Now that I’ve started a career, I’ve struggled with the same problem and nothing seemed to help. I found this app one night hoping it would work and it has seriously changed my life. I no longer worry about accidentally sleeping through all my alarms because it is impossibly with Alarmy. The barcode scanner makes you scan an item’s barcode. For me, it’s my deodorant in the bathroom. It makes me get up. I actually forgot to bring the item with me on a work trip that I set up to scan and I had to delete the app! It wouldn’t stop going off! That may sound crazy but it is exactly the type of alarm I need! You can’t just close this app, even in the background and make it go off. It just keeps going until you get up. I love it.

Don’t have your phone on silent. As a notoriously heavy sleeper who always needs to set 10 alarms to get to work, Alarmy has saved my mornings. You’ll be amazed how hard simple tasks are for your groggy brain, and Alarmy will force you to keep doing it until you get it right unless you want to keep hearing the ringing. I always set a memorization task and then a harder math task 30 minutes later to ensure I don’t fall back asleep. Not only does it help me actually wake up, I think it’s somewhat improved my math skill. However, I do have one problem with this system - if my phone is on silent, Alarmy will not ring. I can certainly understand that a third party app probably doesn’t have the ability to bypass silent mode, this is just a warning to potential users to set a reminder to take your phone off silent or set an extra normal alarm as insurance, as this has made me late to work a couple times. Overall - great app, easy to use, plenty of stuff that you have access to without paying, and you will actually wake up.

Great Alarm, but has some bugs. I really like this alarm and think the whole “missions” idea is really great - especially for those of us who like to absent-mindedly snooze their alarms multiple times or turn off their alarm, and end up running late for work.. So the idea of having to complete the missions in order to actually turn off or snooze the alarm is pretty brilliant, and it’s nice how customizable the alarm is as well. BUT, there are a few kinks they need to get worked out. I’ve had to delete the whole app twice since I first downloaded it a month ago, because it’s gotten stuck during the missions (especially the typing portion) and wouldn’t let me complete it and turn it off. So it would just keep going off, and closing the app completely then opening it back up still wouldn’t work. So I’ve had to completely delete it twice. Hopefully they’ll get that resolved asap, but other than that it’s a great alarm. If they fix that app issue, it’ll definitely be deserving of 5 stars.

Photo Option. I like the app and usually do the math setting. The last few days i’ve had a hard time getting up so I thought I’d mix it up and do the setting where you have to take a picture of something ahead of time and take the same picture to turn off the alarm. I took a photo of 3 little figurines on the other side or my room. When taking the photo, it gives you a transparent guiding photo to make sure everything lines up. I thought I was getting pretty darn close to the photo, but no matter what I did it kept saying it wasn’t the same photo. I tried about 10 times. I tried closing the app to make it turn off but it was sending me a notification and vibrating *literally* every 2 or 3 seconds telling me to turn off the alarm. I tried going back on the app to see if it would let me just disable the alarm or change it to a different setting, but no such luck. I had to delete the app for it to turn off. I downloaded it back because I like the app for the most part, but I’m definitely never doing the photo task again.

Great but be careful using this. 2 years ago I used this for very early morning shifts for work and it was great! The app WOULD NOT let me sleep through it until I completed what I set the mission on for the day. One day though it never went off and I had the app running in the background so the app could be open to wake me up. I overslept for work by 3 hrs. I thought maybe I forgot to set something or maybe I had went back to sleep so I kept my alarms like usual but it happened again on another random day and I knew it was the app this time because I was very cautious and made sure the alarms were set, the app was open and that the sound was up EVERY night before bed. I overslept for work again and I had to uninstall it after almost getting a write up. Two years later I’m trying this again but for my own personal reasons as I want to wake up earlier on my own time to get up early BEFORE work and I’ll still use my Apple alarm for my actual work alarm just in case.

Only alarm I use. I used to sleep through alarms all the time, default phone alarm, actual physical alarm clocks I’d subconsciously turn off and go back to sleep. Then a friend of mine recommended me this app. Honestly have never hated something so much, I have urges to chuck my phone but that still won’t do anything cause this alarm is truly from hell. Enough of that, this alarm app has helped me out in more ways that I could imagine. The sound is shockingly loud and no mater what you do it continues unless you complete your mission. I usually do the walking one as it forces me to get out of bed, but the pattern one is just as good. I really recommend getting the premium version simply for the wake up check. If your anything like me you hop back in bed after you manage to get the alarm to turn off and if you miss the “are you still awake” notification you have to do your mission again and again until you finally check that your awake. Overall the best alarm I’ve ever used and will continue to use.
