Loved this game. I used to love this game I played this for a year and I feel as if I wasted my time. They make new servers almost every week because they want to milk your money and make you feel like you’re in a completely new game. Later on you get tired of this because the events will require you to pay money to play. My strongest clan members pay literally thousands of dollars to fight and play and its just to be able to play. Near the end of your server life you’ll see only big players that continue to pay to compete. Money vs money and people keep putting in more to get rare items you can’t get if you don’t pay or save up for months to play one special event. Really when you go in just make a new character in an older server and you’ll see yourself. I’m sorry but I’m not going to keep playing a pay to win game when there are better ones out there. This game has caused me nothing but stress now and it feels like a job.

Don’t waste your time!. Don’t bother downloading this game. After spending countless months and hours playing this game, my account completely disappeared. I contacted them and it took them first a few days to even answer. Once they answered they took even more time to “locate” my missing character. Once they did find it, they stated that I must create a Facebook to then create ANOTHER account to be able to regain my original character. I don’t think it’s fair that they force you to create a Facebook in order to regain your character. So after all these months of playing I’ve lost my character and the clan that I created and built from the ground up. Thanks for a waste of time. They also fail to stop any cyber bullying and online threats from anyone in this game. The most they get is a few hour chat ban slap on the wrist type of thing. And then the cycle continues. I do not recommend this game.

very poor customer service. I purchased ancient treasure fragment and unlocked mystic necklace 4 star, but it did not show up in the game. I reached out to customer service for the resolution and it has been 3 days with same state. Every time a new person replies and ask for screenshots and i am tired sending screenshots multiple times . they acknowledge the necklace is unlocked in backend and asked me to restart . i did restart and also tried uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing worked. Also first time case was simply closed asking me to restart game without waiting for resolution. i had to raise a new complaint and this time it is going on ever and 4 people asked same question to upload screenshots. i am tired and found it to be not worth anymore. don’t want to invest anymore on this game with such terrible customer service.

Too much pay to win boosts to army stats. They say that players can be strong without spending money which is true but someone can spend and buy all packs every couple of hours and reach 1 year of progress in one day and they can buy all the resources and skip upgrade time. Heroes boost troop stats and dragons too and both are heavily paid. Sure you can wait 1 year to upgrade your weak dragon while someone pays money to upgrade their stronger one that’s 2x better. This game is wallet vs wallet and if you can show me one player that never spent money but is stronger than someone that spends money then I’ll believe that you can be strong but for now this game is cash grab and developers lie when they say you don’t need to spend when spending makes the game progress 10X faster.

Don’t waste your time.. I really, really loved this game. The developers have really put some thought into the game play. And I’m a big fan of games like this. But.... WOW! There are some pretty terrible hate mongers on this game. They say terrible things to everyone. I mean graphic, ugly things. And they just never stop. Don’t bother reporting anyone who takes their words to far either. Even with screen shots of the truly gross things that they say to people. Nothing is ever done and then they come back with a vengeance. So it’s hard to progress in the game. Because they will follow you around the map looking for you. They attack their own Hordes, even in the time of peace. There is just to much hate on this game. I have changed servers. (When you change servers like most games you have to start over. Which I was ok with. I liked the game.) Changed my little flag to one that doesn’t let anyone know what country you are from. Made sure my picture was one of their characters. And have left all information out. Didn’t matter. A few people from different servers have even found me on Facebook (which made me change all of the above) So.... Yep. I would recommend this game for the game it’s self. But the people who play this game have killed the love I had for it. Again to much hate. So in the end. No I wouldn’t recommend this game.

Don’t play, 5 star for review. Ok well on server 189, I just found out a Chinese clan, the powerful players, are husband and wife and charged real money to be in there clan. So of course they shot thought the power rankings so quickly. And NOW it’s pointless to play the game because they have made research longer than when we started on this server. Like many post you will hear it’s a cool game, however the developers don’t care about you they care about money, money money money, so don’t waste your time on this game. The general idea is cool but when you have Chinese that pretty much cheat to get there way, so yea. I am sure I’ll quit and contact Apple and my bank due to fraud, my card gets charged for things I didn’t receive or purchase. So I have canceled my card from iTunes and will only pay with money I put on iTunes, I suggest you do the same if your going to spend money. Remember tho, Chinese will always be on top. Regardless of the amount of money you put in the game. You will always loose.

Chinese Advantage and Racist Thieves!!!. If your not Chinese DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME! You will never have the advantage the Chinese do, free gems free speeds and many other helpful extras to keep them on top. They get their money for this game from everyone but Chinese so don’t get suckered into this black hole of a game. I’ve played 3.5 years and still play but wish I would have read a review this honest when I was looking to download a new game and I would have did myself a huge favor in not playing BA. support is useless and when you do make a purchase they’ll charge you twice and refuse to give your money back. They allow other Chinese players to come to your server and raid you without warning or notice then refuse to fix their mistake because I wast Chinese! It is what I say (a scam for everyone but chinese) we pay for their play!! Keep going and find you another game not made my Tap4Fun make sure you don’t download a game from this developer for your own sake!!! Extreme racist!! Have a nice day and God bless

Don’t do it. This game is fun because of the people. The developers don’t care about their customers. The issues(there are many, and constant) are “fixed” by 10 hours of speed ups (max) when it takes that amount of time alone to gather 1/10 the resources, and at max speed will take you literally years to complete research without spending lots and lots of money. 10 out of 10 for friends, (I got lucky) 0 out of 10 for the devs and game configuration. 0 out of ten for product bought vs assets gained. 0 out of ten if you plan to spend no money on any random server. 5 out of ten if you plan to spend no money on a pre-planned server, 10-10 if you plan to spend all of your daddies money. I played for about 3 years and it’s honestly a fun game, but they leach so much money and time from you that when you look back at the time spent, money spent, be a good person and make some friends of your own and make some real and great memories.

Great game except for....... The builder/war/strategy games are my favorite and this one would be 5 star game if it weren't for the advantages given to the Chinese. It's the typical builder where you don't have to pay but buying packs can help speed things up. I don't personally have a problem with paying a few bucks here and there as I believe the developers should be able to make money for their effort and it provides me entertainment. The issue is the Chinese. They pay less then everyone else for the same thing. So every server has top ten players that are Chinese that go around and wipe everyone else out. So unless you want to spend massive amounts of money compared to them just to stay equal, you're just building a farm for them. They make Asian servers every time they open a regular server but the Chinese know to join the regular server for easy conquests. If the developers would have something to even the game out, maybe servers for IP demographics I believe this would take over as the best, most played strategy war builder game out there. Your response is absolutely false. Not only are there game mechanic advantages built in for Chinese but to say they don't have advantage with purchases is a blatant lie. Perhaps you should actually log in to a game server and see what's going on if you are truly that naive and blind.

What?. This game is AWFUL it seems fun, but I have now been playing for almost 2 weeks and still have NO IDEA what I am doing. The game tells you what you should do, but does not tell you why you should do it and what you will achieve by doing it. It is ridiculous. Then it allows a player who is clearly WAY more powerful than you to attack you then kills all your troops. You spent days building up your troops and their all dead in two seconds because you were out matched by a stronger player. Then you tell that player they were a bully and you use one bad word to explain yourself and they let you do it, then you get a warning that they will kick you out for using bad language. Don't let us use bad words if your going to threaten us for using them. Plenty of other good games don't allow us to even use it. This game is AWFUL, it seems fun but is ridiculous to understand every aspect. They don't really help you either...don't waste your time there ARE WAY better games available other than brutal age.

Broken game. The backbone of this game is absolutely awesome. However in the last year give or take the business model has gotten so money greedy and so content quality poor it’s quite ridiculous. They refuse to spend any time or money on fixing current game issues and choose to pump out more future broken content. They also refuse to take into account the voices of the players even on simple fixes or things that won’t cost them income and could in-fact increase it. So with the given state of the game I turn to the possible new victim reading this review and plead you to not waste your hard earned money on a broken game like this. To give you a rough idea it would cost you right out of the gate 25-30k (USD) to even be relevant in fighting events and closer to 100k to be a (front) head of the respective server (varies with each server). But either way not some $10 get ahead FarmVille spending type game.

Developers don't care. The game has a built in system for reporting carrots inappropriate behaviors from players. Unfortunately, after reporting inappropriate remarks the Developers say , a certain amount of language is expected in a war game. However, a player has gone completely threatening through the game chats and when muted searched through social apps for messaging. The game developers claim they can't see The relationship of the players comments on an outside social app as it’s related to the behavior inside the king. It’s so evident in a monkey could see the and that’s just an excuse. They’re using to not have to be in someone who does spin money and puts money in their pockets. This player tried to coach another player to commit suicide, providing her with the information that she needed step-by-step. This was done inside the game chat the developers muted her for a few hours, and that’s it. Now she’s threatening through outside social apps, and it has been reported to those companies yet the developers of brutal Age horde invasion, refuses to acknowledge the relationship between the players behavior, and the threatening words used in the social application for messaging. The developers have chosen that they will support a player who spends money over another that doesn’t have as much monetary investment. Be careful and don’t let your children play this game or else they will be seeing a lot of adult content that should not even be allowed for an adult to see.

Bullying issue. I absolutely love this game and have been playing it for at least two years now. I don’t mind the packs and means for the developers to make money, after all that’s what games are for; however, I will admit that the bullying comments are 100% accurate. I’ve been bullied on several servers at this point and every time I report it, nothing happens. I have even been threatened to track me down irl and hurt me and with brutal age working with Facebook, now its easier than ever to find out about someone. All I am saying is that the issues with bullying need to be taken more seriously because it’s a serious issue.

Full of bullys. This game is amazing, and has so much potential for people that want to meet others to play with. The problem is, that the developers do not help people if you have a problem. The server I am on, has one clan that has destroyed everyone. Although my clan has quite a bit of power, this other clan has been constantly bullying us. They force my clan to follow their rules, and comply to all their demands, or be burned down. Many people have contacted the developers to try to change our clan to a different server, but the developers have refused to help us. They insist only new players can switch servers, which makes no sense. It also makes no sense to have a game, where one clan (100) players, can destroy or run off everyone on a server. So, basically, only play, if you don’t mind a game where people are allowed to bully you, and the developers won’t do anything about it.

Fun but not worth it. I can’t deny that it’s a fun game and the partner system can be quite engaging. I played a fair amount and got to stronghold lvl 21 and a partner to 6 stars with multiple 5 star partners. Overall the game has a lot of potential to be great but unfortunately like most great things people ruin it. It gets pretty old pretty quickly when multiple people rally against you, you’re constantly having to play catch up and unfortunately in this game that means spending a lot of money. The way this game is set up, if you want to be anywhere near competitive you have to pour in a significant amount of money there’s just no way around it. In a lot of ways it’s brilliant and I give the creators of this game a lot of props for their savvy business strategy, but in the end it’s just not worth it. It was fun while it lasted but this game will no longer take my money and I suggest that if you haven’t started and are thinking of giving this game a try that you really think otherwise. I give it 2 stars because it is fun but it is a complete waste of time and money. But hey you could always play it for free and die a lot without getting very far, there is always that option. I might consider playing it again if it wasn’t so expensive to play right, you could just feel the creators hands rummaging in your pockets and I am no longer a sucker.

Spenders Only. This is a game for people who feel like they have too much money and they would like to waste some of it because from the developers to the moderators nobody listens to the customers check any Facebook page about this game and it will tell you all you need to know between the greedy Solis corporation behind brutal late to the constant racist sexist and plain moral bullying that takes place while customer support tells you that they don’t understand the issue. If a mistake happens in terms of purchases there is no refunds and they do not work with players to fix the error even if the errors on their side I highly recommend you do not download this.

Too bad they don’t have a zero star. My family and son has been harassed and threatened on this game. To the point that the person threatening said he would pay to get our info to come find us. Said he would send our brains to Russia. Said he would show up at our door with a 9mm. Brutal age has done nothing at all!!! Every picture has been sent to brutal age and nothing has been done about it. We asked to speak to managers again with no result. They mute for 24 hours or 72 hours then the player comes back angrier. He said he would start with the children. Which my 14 year old son plays this game. And still nothing. Brutal age doesn’t care about the safety of the players of the game. They just worried about their money. This game is a joke!!!! Do not download this game and definitely do not spend money on it! You will not feel safe playing this game!!!

Great game!. This game is absolutely fantastic. Sure there are the occasional glitches and lots of updates. But i have been playing this game for just over a year now! Still love it. YES, it is very detailed. You must be at least slightly intelligent to understand and adapt to play this game. The servers are LIVE 24/7! You obviously can’t be as a human. So you must learn to hide and work together with the clan to stay safe. Purchases are of course available, but absolutely not necessary. I spent most of my first year in the black horde spending no money and made it so far that i had other clans begging my and my team to join. Don’t be a dummy. Pay attention. Learn from mistakes. It’s just a game! HAVE FUN!

It’s an expensive game. Just like all the recent comments have already said, this game was great in the beginning but as the years progressed, the developers kept adding layers to it that requires the players to pay if they want to stay competitive. There is no way around it. If you want to play this game, you will have to continually put a lot of money into it. Almost every update they add another layer to the game that requires you to buy more packs to continue your progress with the game. If you don’t the wealthy players in the game will eat you alive and all that time and money you previously put in the game will become useless. It’s one thing to continually evolve a game but that’s not what these developers are doing. It’s a business trick to make sure you are continually paying them. On top of this, it’s a Chinese created game. With this, they give an unfair advantage to their country. The packs that you are forced to buy if you want to be competitive in the game are half priced if you are in china. So it has quickly become a Chinese dominated game because it’s much cheaper for them to advance in the game. So be aware of that. If your server comes up against a Chinese server, your sever will be dominated from all the Chinese power. Just like many other comments have already said... If you are not willing to continually pay hundreds and eventually thousands of dollars to one game, then this game is not for you.

Enjoyment at 60 lol. Yes, I am a little old lady, that is enjoying this game immensely! I had once tried some empire game, minding my own business when I started getting attacked, & finally just left... But I love that you can “teleport”, as I did, to the farthest region, next to water, where I can be left to explore the game. Once my partner island opened up, I was off exploring through this portal as well. I am also a big WOWhead, & advent player on Alliance, with many maxed out players. My son got me to start playing with him about 11 years ago, so that we could ‘hang out’ together. He drives tractor trailers OTR. Anyway, this, to me, has many similarities, & I just love to play! Thank You!

RE: Bullying. This game is a collaborative war game. Parents should monitor their children’s activities on any social platform. As a parent, you should evaluate your child’s maturity level prior to allowing access to this or any other app which allows social interaction where people are free to express their thoughts, opinions, and views. If you take jocularity seriously or you are a sore-loser, this may not be the game for you. In many cases I’ve personally witnessed, negative interactions between players is often started by a minor. If you enjoy collaborating with others, developing tactics to win, and making in-game purchases to remain competitive, please join us.

Bored of the game but still good. I am going to make this review short and sweet. A lot of the positive reviews you see for this game mirror what I think of this game. I do see it as a well thought out game. It’s intricate yet very easy to learn and pick up. How the game handles micro transactions is the healthy way of doing it. But bear with the community because there is this divide between jerks and decent people playing. You never know for certain when you will cross someone being a bully or someone who is genuinely decent. So remember that before joining a clan. Plus bear in mind that this game has a lot of Asian players so remember that there might be a bit of a language barrier

Unsatisfactory Developers & Customer Service. I’ve been playing this game for over a year now on several servers. In the beginning the game was amazing and had all the perks to get you addicted... until they implemented the partner system. You could have over 100M power and T5 troops, but if your partners aren’t maxed you will lose the battle. The developers have ridiculous rules where they save your weaker troops versus your stronger troops, create events that you can’t win any rewards without spending more money, and not to mention that crappy customer service reps they have. It’s like pulling teeth to have them compensate you for something that was their error to begin with. The biggest issue with this game, is the politics. They make it clear that unless you’re Chinese, you won’t get any help or compensation. I’ve even heard Chinese players tell everyone that the developers pay them to play and kill off anyone not Of Chinese decent. If I were you, I would stay away from this game, but if you end up playing be prepared for horrible customer service, terrible game rules, and be ready to spend a lot of money in order to survive.

The game is fun BUT cheating. The game is fun where you grow power and do a lot of stuff but... lately we have been experiencing some bugs and stuff. It was like any normal game but then there were those Chinese players who cheat and take advantage of unfixed big! The problem wasn’t the cheater it was the support themselves, they didn’t care!!! I paid a lot of money to grow in this game which I would pay double that to keep me happy... but with these cheaters who triple their powers and the support being careless! I wouldn’t recommend you to play and waste your time and money. BC: I told supporter how the glitch works and I bet if I did the glitch myself I’ll get banned.. tbh I don’t care anymore, I’ll wait few days and if I saw non of them are getting banned I’ll do it myself and see if they will banned me because I’m not Chinese :)

Made for the Chinese. The Chinese get massive discounts compared to other countries it is made just for the Chinese matter how much anyone spends in another country the ones who will always have the actual discounts is the Chinese that’s not hate against them but that is how the game is that is how they chose to develop the game to keep anyone else suppressed and not able to get further then there own country There is cyber bullying but if you’re gonna cry about that there’s no reason for you to even play the game there’s all kinds of games out there where it’s nothing but cyber bullying

Not worth the bullying and lack of progress. It’s true what everyone is saying. I’ve gotten pretty high up and while it’s an ok game, you will NOT be pleased with the attacks, the focused bullying, nasty things said in chat and lack of getting higher in power. You will have players with 100m power that will seek and hold you down and simply destroy and efforts you make. Different time zones make it impossible for you to stay aware all the time. You cannot “shield” forever and definitely not for free. It WILL cost you money and unless you are from a specific country, you will not get far in this game. It’s not a fair playing field. The developers will not fix whatever issue you have, they will only apologize. “sorry chief you are experiencing .......” be warned. Do not start playing....it’s not worth it honestly.

Careful with this one. This is probably the most addicting game you can find on the App Store but it’s addicting in a bad way. After about a year of playing this “gathering game” and spending no joke thousands of dollars just to survive “ that’s legit nothing compared to half this games players who have spent 10’s of thousands” I have realized that they just expect you to pour more and more money into it like it’s a bank account. You can “barley” survive in this game without spending money but you won’t be able to attack anyone or actually play the game unless you get super lucky with a chill server that lets you live for more than a day and on top of that just about every single aspect of this game has a pay wall like you have never seen before in a game, I’m talking hundreds to thousands of dollars for a chance at getting one single cosmetic and that’s just cosmetics. Play this game at your own risk like I said earlier I have paid thousands of dollars to just survive in this game and I’m not even close to the top person on my server and their is hundreds of servers, like this has to be the most profitable game for devs since gaming was thought of. Don’t bother picking this game up unless you got deep pockets, trust me on this.

Agree that cyberbullying and stalking an issue. Certain players who spend thousands of dollars will only be silenced for particular swear words. A facebook account is used to secure the Brutal Age account. My FB account was found and through “people you may know” suggestions, my family, friends and neighbors appear. It is then easy to find your real name, address, workplace. One such stalker targets lonely women and young girls with his charm. After a period of time and intimate conversations, professes love and asks for nude images as well as paraphilias. This man will then threaten to send information to all your family members, their coworkers, their neighbors. Even if you move to another server, he and his group of cyberbullies will follow. Your outposts may be surrounded by small accounts with family members names on them, particularly children in your family as if they will also receive this information or be harmed in some way. When this is reported to Brutal Age, their first response is that there were no cuss words in the dialogue. The second response was , “report to local law enforcement “. There is no protection for this problem and Brutal Age will not remove players that have spent $50k+ on the game. If you are female, please reconsider playing this game. The bad guys are very nice and charming...at first. Beware!

Fun, mostly for Chinese and the wealthy. 😒. Definitely a pay to win game. So not as fun for 90% who don’t have unlimited money. Overwhelmingly dominated by Chinese who gain advantages by outnumbering everyone, cheaper packs and easier access to game info (like sharing inside tips, tactics and latest developments with their hundreds of countrymen). It’s a marathon game not a sprint so patience is key. As money wins, this means sustained investment rules over occasional splurging. Events are designed such that purchased items offer a “chance” to win prizes rather than simply buying prizes. Therefore even large contributions may leave you disappointed. Designers often introduce bugs and glitches which can be bad. In my 3 years experience, customer support mostly says “sorry, better luck next time.” 😡 The translations are ok but there is a language barrier for sure. Very frustrating at times. Once in a while there are login problems. Seems only non-Chinese have these login issues. Without login you cannot contact customer support. Many players have been zeroed due to these issues.

Don’t bother with this game. I’ve been playing this for several years and I’m questioning my sanity. 1. You’ll have to spend tens of thousands of dollars to keep up with other players. It is a major cash grab. I’ve known players who spent a thousand dollars in a weekend. I don’t spend money and I’m never going to be other than a weak player. The majority of the events are pay to play and all of the best tools and prizes in the game go to the big spenders. The problem is getting progressively worse too. The developers dont even try to hide it. And everything costs approximately 1/2 as much in China. 2. The developers don’t listen to our requests or advice. They are Chinese but speak great English. The requests lately have been from our biggest players (and biggest spenders) and are trying to make the game more fair. The developers response has been to threaten us with muting and possibly banning permanently from the game. Btw, it’s illegal to threaten US citizens like this. It’s the cyber bullying statute. It’s a law. 3. Look at the reviews here. So many are fake. 5 stars but saying the game is terrible. Obviously fake or altered. I don’t have ambitions to be the top player on my server and I’m pretty laid back so i put up with a lot on this game. If it weren’t for friends I’ve made I’d already be long gone. CYBER BULLYING STILL CONTINUES!. Cyberbullying is still continuing to proceed. I have read your response to another users review and hear you are trying to prevent this. Its been months since then and cyberbullying still continues. It is lighter than before but still damaging. In my clan, members are threatened and made fun of for various reasons until they have to make a choice. Be forced to join the offenders, or quite the game completely. And i have seen others quite the game and i know from your view thats not good for the game. Cyberbullying only leads to pain and suffering and may end with permanent serious choices of the victim. Many people choose suicide because of the constant pressure of cyberbullying. PLEASE PREVENT THIS. Please find a better way to stop cyberbullying!

Pay to win. Okay, this game can be fun, CAN BE. This game is definitely a pay to win game. Although, it is free to play it is more so pay to win. I personally enjoy the game and trying to get stronger, but I recognize there is no way to catch those who put so much money into the game. You get pulverized by those who put money into the game. Yes, you can buy shields, yes you can TRY to join larger clans, but it’s doesn’t matter too much. There are only so many shields someone is willing to buy. There is only so much help you will actually receive from clan mates. If you read other reviews the developers actually accept and admit that the game is pay to win by never addressing it in people reviews. They always say, paying for things is optional, or aka pay me to keep playing because we’re not going to help you. There’s no way this game should have 5 stars. Overall, I think it could be a fun game if they limited how much someone could spend.

Write a review after about a year and a half. Awesome game! Very well planned out and gets your attention with new partners every week. 🙄 Tap4fun is racist though. I am 100% positive. At first I was like no no no, they’re not they care equally. BS, they allow only the Chinese to cheat by numerous ways. In the game you need resources to collect, or produce. There are bots that the Chinese can purchase and collect 100 million water. It’s important later on when you’re building T5. I’ve complained and shown proof of someone cheating and basically I get the screw you treatment. Even when I say something they respond and end the conversation, so it’s not a conversation, it’s a question and a answer. Want some advice new players, go the other way. I mean it. The game is very cool for a money player. Trust me they even have events for how many gems someone can purchase. Bad business brutal age. Reaaallll baaadddd.

Clan leader here. Been playing for over 2 years and at this point I don’t know why...... this game started out so fun and I made life long friends from it so that part is worth it but the recent additions to the game made it unfair. The greed of Tap4fun ruined this game and they refuse to fix it and instead add more pay to play features. It’s impossible to play this game without spending so if you are considering it, get out your checkbook. Also, the Chinese have completely overtaken this game since they have an unfair advantage by being able to buy discounted packs with their government issued gaming cards... so now the game is rigged and greedy but I have all these friends here and run a clan so I stay. I will not spend another dime on this game again until they make it fair for hardworking but poor players.

A game with constant chat spamming :). I don’t know why this game has a 4.7 rating, probably payed people to do 5 star reviews?Honestly, I’m not surprised at this point. It’s your typical level up your stronghold game like all the other duplicates like it, really not that fun and interesting. Also they bother to put a chat for some reason with the actual server account spamming the same thing over and over with a link that’s not even there, plus to add it with some Chinese spammer saying the same sentence over again. Of course, a bunch of kids jump in to ask the spammer for sexual things. Reporting them does absolutely nothing, I don’t think the devs aren’t moderating this game anymore. Trying to block them is a hassle too since you have to tap so many times to bring up the options! You might think this isn’t a big deal but from a different view, it’s very unprofessional for a game to not have a regular moderation. The gameplay is like I said before, nothing special. I see a few Ice Age rip offs here and there. The store items are way over priced. You are only given 200 at diamonds at the start of the game. Honestly, I’m here for the free coins but to be honest, I’ve played better games than this and this one has to be worst one I’ve played for free coins.

Inability to progress. Once you reach a certain point in this game which is level 24 on all buildings, you're unable to progress further unless you spend literally thousands of US dollars on something called the hall of war. The hall of war requires skull piles to upgrade the building and in the past 4 months, I have only accumulated around 100 out of the 12,000 needed to continue. When asking the customer service team about this, they referred me to purchasing them with USD. This gives a huge advantage to the people who were lucky enough in the start of the game to catch on to a glitch that was found that allowed you to purchase “complete” with gems at a far cheaper cost than purchasing skull piles. So far, I have spent around 600 USD on this game, and I am still thousands of dollars away from being able to even compare and compete with the Chinese players whom purchases are drastically reduced due to the currency exchange rate. If I could go back and not of started this, I would. It was a waste of time and money.

Terrible pay to win game. If you don’t have thousands of dollars to spend on the game, then don’t play this game. This game is by far the biggest and worst pay to win game I’ve ever played. I played for a little over a year and I honestly regret it, it takes all your time to do things, if you don’t have money you’re screwed, there are tons of extremely rude and vile people who play this game. The devs are so greedy and don’t care about anyone but themselves. They also very very very rarely ban people who deserved to be permanently banned, I’ve seen players say some of the most awful, disgusting things towards other players and nothing gets done about it. They constantly come out with updates and new things in game that people never asked for. Most events cost hundreds or thousands of dollars to get some of the better event rewards.

Make a way for players who don’t pay money to buy stuff that costs money. Make a reason for your player base that doesn’t spend money to play, add a way to get points to buy things on the store that would normally cost money. Maybe logging on everyday gives you points? Maybe doing challenges? Make a way for people to be able to buy packs without having to actually spend money if you care even a slim bit about your community otherwise this community won’t grow and it will continue to slowly die

Worst game. Company does little or nothing to stop bullying, and extremely off balance play. Everything is geared to pay to win. More you pay the more you can bully others. This company can and does ignore this, but many players experience it some spent money an time only to be wiped out by some who paid little more or cheated, or even favors by moditors who does give away officers, items or equipment…we all see it, same people, those that pay. You can sit there and be in some illunation about all this being fair and balanced, it’s not, all the players see it. It would fair if your a high level player your exempt from any rewards or free anything. Instead they get most of or all rewards prizes, giving them more to bully others. Every high level player hordes everything…this not a game for new players but a means to get moneys. Frankly only cash cow here is the high level players that keep buying…people sent in game photos of cheating but all is ignored…the extreme off balance is ignored…even in the reviews state how badly the game being off balance. It seem even the same high level players are in most of games this company, as they continue to bully and dominate others, there is nothing about any of the games this company makes us fair and balanced.

CYBER BULLYING ALLOWED IN GAME!!!. THIS GAME IS NOT SAFE FOR CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 18! Game allows serious cyber bullying and cyberstalking in violation of USA Federal Laws. I have reported this issue many times through the game’s internal reporting system, but the offending players are simply banned from talking for a few hours and then allowed to resume their cyber bullying activities. Each time the player is warned that if they offend again, then they will be banned from the game, but this never happens. Instead the period of time that the offensive player cannot speak is extended a small amount for the next offense and they are allowed to resume cyber bullying again when the time period has elapsed. Many players have been silenced 6 times or more. The cyber bullying allowed in this game is of such a severe nature that it could easily move an emotional teen to hurt themselves or worse. It may be that the Chinese developers of this game do not understand how much of a problem cyber bullying has become in the USA. If that is the case, they should educate themselves on USA Federal Laws before marketing this game.

Longtime players are not your Mandatory Beta Testers. This last “Mandatory “ update has been horrendous. New graphics seem to be designed by a child. One element looks like it came from “Angry Birds”. I personally have spend a ton of money over the last 5-6 years playing this game. Greedy game. This game was one if the best I use to play. But in the pass few weeks/month the developers started adding useless updates and events just to drag money from players. Spending is optional but came to the point that the spending money is required for you to be able to be successful in the game or win. The developers change the hours in the most important event that this game has, Server war, after 4+ years they change the schedule of the battles making it very inconvenient to the players, to make it even worst the inly way to win in this event is by occupying the temple the longest. No point to use any other strategy than spending huge amounts of $$$. The game is full of glitches and unfinished updates, while bringing only events that need to be pay in order to win a total waist of my money and my time.

Let’s Get Real , JAN 2019. This is a money pit game. The person that spends the most money wins. (There are other people than the Chinese that spend big money) The person with the most accounts in one server has endless resources to produce troops and build. The game is clearly unfair to new players. The game definitely has strategy balance issues, such as partners and troop max count. Why make hall of war max at 2 million cap while a person doesn’t have cap for troops. No way a team can take down a person that has 200m power with great partners/ runes. It would hurt us more than attacking him. Put a max troop count for every outpost. Ideas - merge servers , make a few servers with no money to boost power (can still buy skins or cool looking outposts/scouts with money - no advantage given), make events even for everyone to obtain ( people that had high power partners will keep getting skill catfish - it’s not possible unless you spend big money). Now let me tell you about the bugging, glitching, freezing issues. There will be times if not all of these will occur. Customer support will not help anyone in trouble thru these issues. They will send you a in game action report and say that they can not help you.

Endless mode in adventure: the rewards get better as you go and the enemy’s get harder you can only claim the rewards from this per week however you can reattept it at any time just not get the rewards you already got and there’s a limit to how good the rewards get so people don’t get like a 1000 hour skip if that’s even possible Instant skip: this is very valuable it fast forwards Infinite years of construction time Hard mode: in this mode you have to feed your troops (auto feed) if you don’t have any meat and they don’t get food for long enough they will die That’s it for now I,l list more when I get some ideas

WORST GAME FOR CYBER BULLYING EVER. Game is fun until players begin bullying and constantly attacking. If you just want to farm and heal all the time then this is the game for you. Please don’t waste your time or money. Everything is rigged for the games benefit. Admin does not care what the issue is as long as someone is paying money. I admit I’ve paid more than I should to just delete it and walk away. NOT WORTH DOWNLOAD. Don’t give them anymore money. Game admin does not care period. They will try to lie to you and say they will do something but they do not. I understand it’s a war game but having the strongest members on a world kill all new players is dumb. Game has MANY MANY dead worlds full of inactive accounts. Exactly why you can’t delete accounts, to make the game seem much more popular than it really is. Thumbs down after almost a full year and much time and money invested. What a waste

Anti-lgbtq+ and hate speech. The developers allow the spread of hate speech, such as spreading ideas that the lgbtq community should be “wiped out” and that that slavery and sex trafficking should be allowed in all countries. They do this in order to cater towards those from nations where it is allowed, however disgusting the words being written by players may be. Through multiple attempts at trying to resolve the issue with customer service, I was met with nothing but rudeness and inadequacy. The game itself is fun, but what the developers allow on the platform is absolutely disgusting. 5 star review only so this is seen by everyone

Locked out of my account forcing me to download suspect apps to log in. I have loved playing this game until I purchased a gem pack and the was logged out of the system. Now because I do not have Facebook and because their system I cannot get into my account. The in game customer service is terrible answering only once a day asking every time for the same info and screen shots that I had previously given them on multiple occasions, now they are asking me to download an IP VPN switching app to my phone to try to log into the game from “China”. I contacted tap4fun with no response. I have spent well over $200 and 6 months building my account to have it all washed away in an instant with next to no help or support from in game service. The only avenue to possibly getting my account back is downloading a highly suspect app to switch my IP address to China. This is unacceptable and I warn anyone getting this game be aware you may lose all your progress and money because their system is flawed. You also will get next to no support to solve ANY in game issues. Highly disappointed and am feeling like this is specifically set up this way.

Don’t spend a penny or waste your time. Fun but the programmers don’t make needed changes for stronger players to totally wipe you out. They say it’s a war game and it is. However, when there is no war event and during the peace period stronger abusive players just seek out the weak and destroy them putting you in the situation to make purchases to get the resources to upgrade. See why they don’t change it, because they want you to spend money. Not they kind of game you want to put money into because the programmers want you to spend and allow the weak to be cleared and also allow the strong players to bully and shame you after they attack. The company says the do not allow bullying but by allowing the strong to exploit the weak, (when there is no active war), and the players doing the attacking make fun of you being weak; then the company clearly allows and condones this behavior. Exploiting the weak is a form of bullying. There is absolutely no way to advance high enough without spending a lot of money. Then when you do you are targeted and wiped out so you have to spend more money to get where you were.

Alleged theft. I won't bore you with the specifics, but long story short, I have nearly undeniable proof that the app developers are (at the very least) turning a blind-eye to very overt third-party in-game manipulation (bots, hired human influence etc). Sadly, if "negligence" is not the extent of their apparent theft, I have extensive evidence of statistical manipulation when "chance" is involved...and the list goes on. I've contacted them several times detailing my concerns, as to not implicate them unfairly, but they wouldn't even acknowledge my concerns and instead responded with a mostly scripted and irrelevant reply. I even ended my last email to their support department saying I was approaching Apple if they couldn't muster up even an attempt to address the allegations. So, here I am, leaving a poor review and even suggesting possible criminal activity in a public medium (which is not my style) - all because they forced me to take this route. In all fairness, maybe I'm wrong and there is a logic explaination for the mountain of evidence I have...maybe, but I wasn't able to work through these issues by approaching jus them.

Beware of spending money. It is a great game. But as soon as you need customer support they never help you and always give you the standard response. Everything appears normal with your game!! Last glitch I had was I spent $200 with packs. Logged in to find all my gems had been converted to stamina... that I didn’t want. Asked them to convert my gems back as they were and they couldn’t help. Was then told if I had 11,500 stamina they could restore my gems. So purchased another 3000 gems of stamina to take me up to that. Only to be told no! The customer support will rip you off. So beware of your purchases. Easy way is to spend no money. After that I will no longer be spending money on this game.

Crashes constantly on iPhone 6. Even though it seems to run well on iPhone 6, it’s not slow or unresponsive, it just randomly crashes back to the iPhone home screen. Can barely play for more than a few minutes without it crashing. Have reported it and sent multiple screen captures to support. Have not received any feedback. Other than that, is a decently fun game. Most importantly it is in portrait (phone) mode. The main reason I don’t play other similar games is that they are in landscape mode, which I don’t like. It is not a casual game. You need to play it constantly or you will lose your progress.

Bad customer service. Online bulling is not nice and the Turkish players in sever 48 are terrible also the are the mods there too when you say anything they will mute you then make fun of you and when you show customer support they say we can’t help you but if the Turkish players say the same words as you nothing happens and customer service says that they said nothing wrong. Zero star quality for this game.. I don’t find this game particularly fun at all. There isn’t much game playing. It looks like something I would have played in the late 90’s. New update is terrible. Our small clan is at war with a bigger clan. The new war frenzy rules will kill our clan. The enemy has 5 players who need no shield at all. Now when our guys attack an enemy they are wide open for the enemy to attack. This is suicide on our part. Our biggest member is already thinking of quitting because of this new change. I’m confused. I got this game because the ad looked so cool it’s like you train your own troops and fight and they come over the bridge. Then I went on the AppStore and the pictures weren’t what it looked like in the ad and then I went on the game and it looked like neither so this was just a waist of 20 minutes of my life.

Developers don’t care, they lie. They do terrible updates and upgrades without fixing any of the current issues. The keep increasing spending weekly and don’t listen to most players saying it needs to stop. Many of the best players have already left the game. Was a good game at one point but now the developers lie to players saying they care about us and listen to our feedback. Brutal game. I don’t think I have ever reviewed an app before but the game is so awful I had to warn future users. First off, if you’re one of those people who won’t spend a dime on in app purchases don’t even bother downloading this. This game is pay-to-win, you will lose incredibly fast if you don’t spend any money. Even if you do decide to make some purchases to actually excel at this game it will cost thousands. Along will this, the developer puts their own players in the game to get players into spending battles in a hope to beat them. In addition every event that they put on is geared to get players to spend tons of money, what you get in return is very little though. Moving onto the actual gameplay, the chat feature is a nightmare. Hasn’t worked properly since I started playing. I almost think they won’t fix this because the lack of communication causes tension between players. More tension equals more money being spent. Customer support is also a joke, countless glitches resulting in losing troops or hard earned resources and when you message customer support they give you a generic response then end the chat. You will also be muted for no apparent reason, anything that is deemed offensive to anyone will get you muted. Save yourself the time and money and stay away from this terrible game.

Hello. I’ve read through a lot of these reviews which motivated my review. I played this game a little over a year and it certainly does not deserve the 1 star ratings it’s getting. You don’t have to pay to play, you are given so much free stuff that people may or may not even know about. I was a clan leader and I know all the in’s and out’s of this game. They give you tons of free things including resources and clan coins which can be used to purchase shields to put over your outposts, the game DOES require attention though, so these 1 star reviews would be people who log on once a day and expect to get somewhere in the game. I loved playing this game and I have made many lasting friendships that I still have to this day. The chat feature is not a problem, it’s only a problem if you allow it to be, you can block any one at any time. The game is super fun and I like the graphics and sounds. I did put money in to the game but that was after a long time of playing, I purchased the month card which is $20 and completely worth it in my opinion, it gives you a gift of many resources and gems every day for a month. With that all being said, the comments about the Chinese players is correct. I stopped playing because a server can only go so far until the strongest chinese clan takes everyone out and then people leave from being frustrated, which is completely understandable. I played 3 servers and when I got attacked my last time, I quit playing because I’d also had enough. When you are attacked once from a strong player and they zero you, it’s enough to quit after the first time, they should fix that. The friendships formed and the memories of playing this game last forever though. It’s what you make of it.

How to enjoy. This game is incredible, I have never spent a single dollar yet I’m just reaching 60 million power. To not be destroyed by the big guys I would recommend shielding using gems or clan coins. In the event that you can’t afford a shield you can join a clan, and put your troops in a safe clan mates outpost using the “reinforce” feature. Many servers are dominated by the rich Chinese, but server 279 is not, if you try to play, join 279.

Frustration with accounts. The only way to keep an account save is to bind it to Facebook. The developers have no inclination to provide other means of logging into account. If you have to reset device you lose progress and it is not easy to get back to original account. The game requires you to go through the tutorial again before you can log on and even then it’s a process. If you do lose access it takes 48 hours for response from developers. I am also unable to send screen shots in game support window

New update. This new update made the game unplayable and this will probably be the final mail in the coffin to make me quit the game after five years, between the ever more pay to win game style and the consistently worse bugs/inability to even log into the game it’s a wonder that this game even still has player 😥

Bubble up buttercup!. Was a good game at start but they progressively add new things all the time so that unless you pay to play you are always going to get smashed and stay small! There are always up dates that mess up login issues there are some decent people playing but mostly if you are not paying to grow you will live in a bubble and get your ash kicked every chance the big clan can

Game gets extremely boring, when you keep playing to get ahead and the someone can keep attacking your base every single day 10 times a day. Ridiculous honestly.

Continually crashes after 2 mins use. An ok game, its strongest feature are the additional challenges that come along as events, the main part of the game however is repetitive and tedious. Other problems: game keeps crashing; English on the site isn't very good; you often get rewarded for events you didn't know you were part of, and ignored for ones you are taking part in. Could be a good gaming experience, certainly isn't yet.

Boring. The game is not to bad except few things, you have to spend a lot of money to grow and be kill, no maximum power limits, they should have a power limit to stop some player to be to big and let the small one to grow. APPLE PLEASE REVIEW. This game goes against Apple developer terms of service as event currency which is paid for (unavailable in the game) expires. The developers try to skirt this rule by saying they use gems as currency but gems is a free currency inside of the game. Anybody purchasing packs is buying event currency because it expires. The events rotate and appear once a month, there is no reason for currency to expire. The developers are actively trying to skirt the developer rules and regulations put forth by Apple.

Don’t bother. Unless you plan to spend like crazy which is the only way to advance I’m this game don’t bother it’s a waste of time and you can not play for free if you plan to survive in this game.

Lost account. I am locked out of my account. I deleted the game and cannot load it from the App Store.

Parents beware. It is a cute enough game but there is a chat feature that does not seem to be monitored or blockable. In addition to the constant barrage of what looks like fishing the chat typically turns vulgar, rude and inappropriate.

Pay to win. Utterly and completely pay to win. People pay thousands to have massive armies which can literally destroy an entire clan of 50 people off the map while you sleep simply because they pay huge money. You can have 50 people play all day every day and those entire 50 people can get completely wiped off the entire map by 1 person who spent $1000 to instantly be godly strong. Don’t bother, you will waste all of your time. 2 stars merely because the gameplay was fun, but it will all come crashing down after weeks of work by some kid who found his moms credit card.

Not only do they make they game unplayable or enjoyable, but they force casual players out of their game with the terrible "random" chances to get characters. The only way you will get anything of value from this game is to spend tens of thousands of dollars. Highly recommend anyone who wants to play sometime slightly competitive to pick something else. This game comes down to how much money you invest in it. Not how good you are.

Scammers. Do not download. Every aspect of this game is sketchy and down right illegal. Don’t bother contacting customer if they false advertise a purchase or if they decide to double bill you. A really lousy game. One of the worst games out there; the game is dominated by a few dominant players (in closed shop clans)who simply play amongst themselves and 'farm' the new or weaker players. Played the game for many months and I have experienced countless parts of the game I cannot access due to glitches or errors in the programming or function of the app. I get a continuous response of (Oops) (error) in random applications in the game when I try to access them. Ehh.... I love this game and have been playing since it came out, but it’s hard to get anything cool with out spending a ton of money. I think that you should be able to get anything someone else can that has money even if it takes a little bit longer to get it. You are constantly being attacked and having to rebuilt( yes I know it’s a war game) but it get annoying and hard to handle most of the time. People with money become power hungry and if you make the wrong people mad you’re always going to loose. I’m not sure if it’s really worth it anymore.

Trouble. Don’t buy any packages, this game will triple charge you every time. It advertises $5 but it will charge you $15-18 every time and then claim they aren’t a direct provider and are a third party. Therefore, they can’t provide you with receipts of purchased items. As for the game, if you don’t buy your way to the top, it’s beyond unfair. There is no way anyone can keep up without buying something. And as the game progresses, they dig deeper into your pocket, always trying to get you to purchase something. If that’s not bad enough, their customer service is horrible. Fun game, but expensive. Overall is a fun and engaging but the truth is that in order for you to get anywhere competitive, You have to pour a lot of money into it there’s just no way around it. I am currently lvl 22 I haven’t spent much money in it, my power is around 22 million but I can’t compete with hardly anyone aside from the dead bases, I would have to hide behind my clan leader basically all the time especially during war. I like the game I have been grinding the game for over a year and every time I get attacked and destroyed by way more powerful people, I have to start all over again which gets old pretty fast.

Cash grab. Not optimized for English speakers. 80% of active players speak Asian-symbol languages. 80% of players are fake or don’t play. Timers are too long. Upgrading a building can take 8 days. Research upgrades can take 40 days. Waiting around is not fun. However this game is SO ADDICTING that you’ll ignore your girlfriend, play it over eating and sleeping, get scolded playing it at your job, and stop advancing in real life. This game is addicting in a bad hangover kind of way. When people ask what you did you just say you play bad video games. Then you loose your friends and you get depressed and you play this game more to escape. You also play it to progress, challenge yourself, and interact but you’re never fulfilled or satisfied.

Chinese dominated and favored. I love this game. BUT i am contacting apple about its unfair game play. The Chinese have cheaper packs. They also came to our server and dominated us with KNOWN glitches that they use. Then i find out the developer is Chinese? Not to mention when they were on our server their foul language disgusted me and many other players. I dont want to play a game that is clearly unfair and allows these foul mouthed Chinese players to come and destroy everything youve worked for with glitches. Contacting apple. My feelings so far. I have played it for a week now and I thought it was pretty good . I train troops during the tutorial and invade for the fun. Speaking of tutorial I felt like I’ve been I. It for ever ... I see adds that put them in either a 2nd person point of view or a 1st person point of view. I really downloaded the game for that but I haven’t seen it yet. They have cheaper packs and can just crush the game from the day a server opens up to them. This game is a nightmare now because of them.

Favorite game by far. This is the most engaging game I’ve ever played. The key is finding a good server and engaging with the people who play regularly. This is definitely a social game and connecting to other people around the world is the reason I keep playing even though I’ve been zeroed a few times and had to start over. that is just part of the rush of the game! The only reason I didn’t five star the game is the number of glitches with the messaging system and how often the game crashes during critical events like server war and the wolves event.

time consumer, money grabber, AND top players are dictators. i agree with all the comments, the game will either consume every second of your day trying to just catch up to players around you, or you have to dump tons of money into it. almost every game offer costs real money only. my biggest reason for almost entirely quitting- because there’s no one moderating this game, the top players and clans turned it into THEIR game. they make up random rules and tell everyone to follow them. if you don’t listen or be prompt with an action they tell you to do, they get several people to spam attack you. they will zero out weeks and months of your progress in a matter of minutes- sometimes seconds.

First thing you should know about this game, it’s a big “pay to win” game which means if you don’t spend big you won’t enjoy the game and you’ll end up wasting your time for nothing. The chat restrictions.... This game so far is pretty good I’m on stronghold lvl 7 and I made a clan and when I went to advertise my clan it says I need my stronghold lvl 8😐 now I have to wait half a day just to get people in my alliance. I was genuinely thinking about quitting the game when I saw you need to be level 12 to say something on the alliance board. If something this stupid is allowed in this game imagine what the rest of the game will be like this is a bad first impression I hope the rest of the game won’t be as bad

Need improvement. good gama and fun, but when you buy any package to get partner 5 star, this game is unfair I think that because you are spending your money on this game, your chances suppose to be better but are the same. 2 year old account - thoughts. Iv played this game for the better part of two years and spent a lot of money. I’m used to games being “pay to win”, but this game is far from the casual/usual “pay to win”. This game does not cadre to those who don’t “pay to win”. Everything is overpriced for the rewards, basically, don’t even bother playing this game if you don’t have deep pockets. Now onto the “good” side of the game, they do update the game frequently, with many new challenges/events. This game can be very competitive at times, or you can play it casual (but won’t last). I find myself less and less interested in the game, I won’t be playing it much longer because of their greediness/marketing for your $$$.

Great game!! Horrible community!!. Brutal Age is a very well put together game and alot of fun until you realize it’s you against the Chinese community. They bully you with words and gameplay tactics until the fun turns into anger. Right up until I reached level 12 I was loving it to the point that I started some in-app purchasing. The moment of level 13 it all changed. Verbal assaults and banding together of the Chinese only groups taking turns attacking you over and over until you agreed in chat to quit. I hope the developers can find a way to convince the community that if they wish for the game to continue to expand, outside gamers are needed for investment through in-app purchases.

Extremely Fun but.... This game is by far the best I have played in a while. Unfortunately there are many bugs like when I go to chat all the pictures in any chat including Horde are turned blank. if you could fix this cosmetic error it would really be appreciated😊 EDIT: The picture issue has since been resolved, but now when I go to message my clan mates to strategize the game keeps crashing. Please fix this messaging issue

Does this game cost money?. I'm proof that this game doesn't require in game purchases. I'm at level 23 and have been playing for over a year. I've only spent $5 to donate to bring back the woolly mammoth. The issue without spending money is does make you feel less competitive. It's easy to see those who are spending and their rapid growth... But if you are patient and rarely use the in game speed ups you can catch up as you get stronger. I won't say this game doesn't have problems. But it's still fun.

Not advertised correctly. On other apps this game was advertised as a first person hunting/fishing game but is more of a game like clash of clans. Personally this game is not fun for me but might be fun for other player looking for a good game like your game but the game is not advertised correctly. For instance there was a ad that showed a face cam of a girl playing this game hunting a mammoth in first person with beautiful graphics which I was interested at first but then I played it and the advertisements were not true. For the developers making this game I think you should change the add to appeal to the people that enjoy the game because your both getting people like me who are looking for a different type of game that is advertised by you but you are also losing opportunities to gain faithful players that will like this game.

Brutal Rage. Pfft, taking an entire week to make a good army, then some hacker from the Blue Horde coming out of the blue to extinct your entire troop population is just preposterous, especially in late game where losing troops starts to become a big deal. It is extremely easily to die and extremely hard to kill if you aren’t in the top. If you don’t progress as fast as the others, you will be trapped in a abyss, meaning you won’t progress and even go back further than you were before.

Empty your pockets to play. Ive been playing this game for over two years now and I can honestly say this game has gotten exponentially worse when it comes to being able to stay competitive with other players and servers. You WILL have to put out ALOT of money to get anywhere in this game. If you're a new player and thinks of joining this game....DONT DO IT. If you dont put money into this game, you will get nowhere. I regret starting this game as it is addictive and the addiction is expensive. Account hacked ( DISAPPOINTED). I am a player from server 297 . I have been playing from 3years now. My game was crashing every few seconds from past 2 days. I tried to empty data from phone but it didn’t help. I uninstalled app and installed again. But now i cant login with my fb account.I think someone messed up my account. I tried to get help from facebook page but they no long help there. Its disappointing to have worked so hard to level up partners and all but i might quit now.

Spending money is a requirement. I’ve been playing for 4 years, haven’t been able to play on a server long enough to enjoy it. The longest server I played on was for 2 years. And till this day I’m still playing catch-up. I finally unlocked all my t5 a little less than a month ago to find out t6 has arrived and I spent a total of 8,000. Spending a few dollars isn’t enough to get decent stuff. You literally have to spend thousands of dollars to actually get one decent thing. You have to spend more than $15,000 to really get a couple decent items in the game and even then your chances are still low. If you are looking for free to play to enjoy then you chose the wrong game.

Decent but not worth the trouble. I liked this game at first, until i saw the cyber bullying constantly going on, not to mention you can have as many characters on a server as you wish- as long as you make a bunch of random fake Facebook profiles. New players don’t stand a chance on this game. You’ll get over 1mil power and wake up to be back down to 200k power. They allow high levels to attack low levels. I understand this is a “war game”, but having it to where level 25s can attack level 5s will make new players leave. Unless you have a lot of money to waste on a game like this, it’s not worth playing cause you’ll just constantly get killed by higher level people and never be able to catch up.

Money not necessary. To all the reviews that say you have to spend money or get nowhere you’re not doing it right. I haven’t spent a dime and got my stronghold to 21 and my power fluctuates between 10-15 million. I would be above 20 million right now but I quit for many months. Join a strong clan and protect each other. Use your shields and be aware of times when horde members can attack their own horde. It can be frustrating because players can buy their way upwards of 100 million plus power. I’ve found they can get frustrated because even at that power they have to catch you slipping to hurt you. DONT GET CAUGHT SLIPPING 😁

Too Much Drama. I thoroughly enjoyed the complexity of this game and almost always something to do, from farming, construction, research, troop building, adventure, fishing, to many fun events. Like other comments, I leveled up to 21, just missing T4 by maybe three weeks, a couple dozen level 5 partners with 2 stars, all with level 12 gear, but the drama is just ridiculous. I checked out 4 other servers and it’s all the same. In the end, the time and money are just not worth all of the drama. Have a life event during server/barb and unable to shield, you will get “zeroed” by opportunists. You can’t trust anyone but most of your clan. Most. I don’t know how to make the game better, other than giving players a choice of PvP, but I’d rather dump my money into Fallout 76 or GTA5. Farewell.

On its way to greatness. The game is fun. Period. Is it the best, no but it is not bad. The trick is to understand what’s going on around you and to get into a clan as fast as possible. If you want to be successful then team up in a large clan and your gonna be safe. The game hands you everything you need to excel. Try it, you’ll probably like it. Maybe you’ll love it. As far as the cyber bulling goes- I’ve found that it’s pointless using the group chat anyway so I don’t pay attention. If someone is bothering you, then block or ignore them, handle it.

Obvious PAY TO WIN GAME. I was frustrated because I thought it was me I kept trying. However rather it’s due to barbarian war ( where the game actually promotes bigger players to attack smaller ones for rewards ) or “ “SEEMINGLY “ random attacks from unbeatable players suspiciously outta nowhere for no benefit. It’s like the devs find ways to limit you. Basically all this game is about them trying to get you hooked, ( easy and quick growth at first ) then all the sudden it’s hard and not making sense but once you have wasted time and a little money they know you ain’t giving up to easy so that’s when they show their true colors lol. No different from other in app purchase games they trying to TAKE your money

Honestly, Brutal Age?!. So I played this game for over 27 hours. It was cool in the beginning. The game loaded you up with resources, gave a detailed tutorial, and gave you tons of items. However, there is not much to do after you pass War Base level 6. It starts getting routine and boring. They push too much IAPs. On a separate note: I raided a player and his whole clan reported me for selling accounts and/or resources, so I got an annoying warning and now I’m muted for ninety-nine thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine hours. This means I can’t chat until December 2029. Ugh. Such an unnecessary annoyance. Brutal Age needs a system in which they can actually test if you’ve been doing illegal stuff. Whatever, though, the game means nothing to me now...

Deep pockets. Easy if you play this game be ready to be called a foreigner or foreigner dog/pig. And don’t bother to complain about it cause they will reply they ain’t bad words it’s what you are. And isn’t racism it’s anyone not Chinese is the word translated the dog and pig isn't a swear. Chinese are given every advantage possible and to keep up with them you have to spend thousands of dollars. I’m the highest in my server and I spent close to 30k and don’t have many Chinese on our server. But you go to war against other servers and the Chinese ones stay Chinese cause they kill all the foreigners. Then when it’s server verse server they come and kill anyone that’s weak and have to spend more money to rebuild.

Don’t unless you spend lots of money on mobile games. Fun for a while but suffers from what all games like this do. There are many people that spend thousands of thousands of dollars a month on the game. They will continuously attack you and destroy you. You will not be able to fight back because there troops are so much better than yours. Save yourself time and don’t download unless you love spending thousands of dollars a month to crush people with less than a quarter of your power. Notice how the developers have stopped responding to complaints. They are laughing all the way to deposit their paychecks. They no longer care about what is happening.

Fun but flawed. Game has pleanty if content and is fun to play, however once the top players and clans form there is no Incentive for them to fight eachother. In fact it’s the exact opposite. They will only feed on the small guys making it nearly impossible to catch up. So essentially unless you can spend 1000s Or are one of the first players to get ahead, it will be nearly impossible to compete nor catch up. I think the devs need to find a way to incentivize the bigger clans / players to go to war with eachother instead of feeding of small guys.

Super disappointed. I used to play this game religiously on close to ten different servers for quite some time. I recently just came back to the game and found lots wrong with the game. Like the buddy system? Too confusing and too much to try and focus on at one time. Also this whole “stronghold must be level ten to send messages”? That does nothing but make new players want to quit the game because without global chat and horde chat it’s harder for them to learn and grow. There is a lot wrong with the game and now I remember why I quit. I wish to see some amendments in future updates. A lot of these new things do nothing but push your loyal players away.

Don’t link to Facebook. If you link to Facebook like I did back when I first started. I then decided to delete my Facebook and the game worked up until I decided to create another character on a different server. The logged me out of my lvl 23 and restarted with no way to get back to my other character because it was linked to a deleted Facebook account. This game is made only for people who aren’t going to leave Facebook or I guess they stand with Facebook in punishing people who decide Facebook is just a big scam and this game is too. Ps. No way to recover past purchases either so good luck trying to keep your game till they kick you. They want your money and won’t give you any recourse.

Don’t bother crappy game. Don’t waste your time unless you plan on spending thousands. This is a wanna be Game of War made in China. Your builds and research will take days to complete one and the resources are next to nothing. You will be lucky if you get a 1 minute speedup 3-4 times a day for your long amount of time wasted doing there events. Event prizes are a joke. Shields are impossible to purchase as they cost 500 gems for an 8 hour shield hahahaha. You will earn that in 3 weeks playing this game. Lol monster rewards are NOT what you will be awards for hitting either. You will be lucky if you get 2-1 minute speedups or 10k wood for killing any. WARNING huge scam! You have been warned.

Be aware, not for children. Extortion is a big issue with the game! When our kids play and get cyber bullied to pay to play is where I draw the line. Sad thing is developers have allowed this to happen. They hide behind “ there is a report option. “ well the button was pushed. Question is now, where that button is connected too? Obviously it’s not to a developer that cares! Since I have observed this extortion continue. To make my case look at reviews prior to this one and they preach the same. One even said it was a federal crime in the USA. I will report to Apple of this app and neglect. Maybe they can get more of an answer out of the developers. Concerned consumer

Great Game Garbage Community. The game itself is a good game. However, the community is garbage. If you don’t find yourself on the right team you will never enjoy this game from the rampant jerks. I’ve played a lot of PvP games but these people take to the level of CYBER BULLYING. They are a lot of racist remarks from Chinese players who dominate almost every sever with bots and cheats. DO NOT WASTE MONEY ON THIS GAME! No point wasting a penny on in game items it pointless when you get zeroed. You can grow for weeks or months until a group or individual zeroes you down until you quit the game. I don’t mean you regular PvP I mean threats, insults and attacking you ever hour every day for weeks. Again good game but a garbage community.

Worst Support Team. Hi, I am rank 19 in the server 238 and my character is FiREMOKH and i am going to say: Don't waste your time on this game. They have the worst support team ever, if anything happens and you contact them, it will take a few weeks to answer and they will ask for thing that is already too late to find like replay (report) of the problem but all this kind of things removes automatically after 2 days and they know it but they don't care and they ask for it to reject your claim. Also they close support tickets rudely after they reject your claim even if it is from their side to not let you continue your claim.

To much hate. Like everyone I LOVED this game. But the insatiable greed is unbearable for me. I hate spending tons of money on a game that everything I buy can be destroyed by one player . I have stopped playing because there are no safeguards for the purchases. The next thing I want to say is when other players advance because of bribery and threatening verbiage it made the game terrible. When reporting this gross abuse to the game developers nothing was done. There is a player that totally killed the server I played on. He targeted me because I refuse to have my clan hunt for him in exchange for not blowing up my clan. When we refused his demands he went on a rampage and killed everyone on the board. Needless to say, I quite the game because the developers refuse to stop the illegal acts one person found so much pleasure in.

It’s garbage. This game is a lot of fun. But don’t get into it. Why? Because it is annoying that the clans with the most power are ALWAYS Chinese. The developers are Chinese and must charge less for gems, or give them better partners or prizes. I don’t know but in every server I have been in the Chinese are ALWAYS the top clans. We just did a server merge and the first none Chinese clan is ranked 7th in power. I really liked it until you get to have a little power (like 20mil) and all the heavy hitters start taking notice. And no I don’t talk in chat or egg people on. To give you an idea the top clan has a power level of 9.7 trillion. Their leader has more power than our entire clan. And before the server merge we were in 3 for power on our server. It is just rigid once you hit a certain power level.

Displeased. A player in my server was banned unfairly and not a soft ban a permanent ban when he showed evidence he didn’t do anything wrong very displeased with this, that’s not even the end of it other servers (Chinese) do cheat and when evidence is shown it gets chucked as “strategy” each time there is a new update the current bugs don’t get fixed just adds more problems and events are more geared towards making u spend more and more. Also very surprised they haven’t been sued for stealing others work as parter system is nothing but a cheap rip off Brave frontier

UGH. I was doing looking at the different servers to migrate to because I was about to level my stronghold to 6 and said why not. Well, I set my phone down and went to get something for my parent when my phone fell. I came back and it picked a server by itself. And old server. I’m almost stronghold 6 and everyone else is 20+.... it people were 10-12, ok, I can catch up. It wouldn’t be a problem. 20+ 😒 I don’t see any option to change servers. Besides that fault, the games okay for what I can see so far.
