Suggestion. Why not have an option to join next available game? I really don’t care which board I play, but sometimes I pick a board and wait and wait but it’s a nuisance to skip in and out of boards to find a game. WHY HAS MULTIPLAYER STOPPED WORKING???? NOT HAPPY ALSO, I BOUGHT ALL BOARDS WHICH INCLUDE UPDATES & SHOULD NOT BE CHARGED TO PLAY NEW BOARD. VERY UNHAPPY Where is the challenge when Plum is the only character who will accuse? Eliminate Plum and I can't lose. The game needs levels of difficulty. Pick your character faces wisely. It costs money to change them. The discounted package exceeds $30!!! Save your money! I bought the snowy peaks. It is cool however Miss Scarlett still can't lose so there is still no challenge. I even tried online (which might be slow computer and not people there is no way to tell) and Scarlett always wins Also, no improvements to Tudor mansion. I'm glad I only spent $7 not $36!!!! FIX MULTIPLAYER IT STILL FREEZES CONSTANTLY & RUINS THE GAME FIX THE COMPUTER PROBLEM! I have lost at least 4 games because your computer puts an X in both opponents & then when I accuse, it says it's a different thing THIS KEEPS GETTING WORSE. MY SCREEN FROZE FOR A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF TIME. THEN ANOTHER PLAYER SOLVED AND WON WHICH WAS IMPOSSIBLE BECAUSE I HAD ONE OF THE CARDS. FIX THE GAME

Points. I’ve accumulated so many points playing this. This is the only game I’ve ever played where you can’t use or get anything in return for your winnings. I’m so confused as to why you all are wanting people to pay for everything, and don’t give the option to win anything?! I’ve been playing for months with basic characters and the one basic map. It’s getting old because it’s the same thing over and over, I cannot bring myself to buy anything extra after already paying for the game itself. This game could be so much better especially having to pay for it. There are free games that have more features than this one which costs. Confusing.

Best board game adaptation app. I love this app and play daily! The gameplay is seamless, the graphics are lovely, and it’s intuitive to use. I bought the expansion option so I love when new boards roll out. I wish all characters had an appropriate avatar for each board to widen the variety of characters you can play that are theme appropriate. I’d love to see a future update where you can mark off which of your cards you have already revealed (for example, if I had Ms. Scarlet and had to reveal the card to another player, it would be neat if the Ms. Scarlet block in that player’s column was filled in with a solid color to indicate they had been shown that card). It would be neat too if there was an “expert” mode where it didn’t auto-fill the Xs. It would add another challenging level of gameplay if we had to fill it in ourselves in an “expert” difficulty level. I did notice that any games I play against the computer are no longer counting in the solo leaderboards. The only time my gameplay registers on a leaderboard is if I play online against strangers. Hopefully this will be fixed in a future update.

Good game overall. The single player game is very enjoyable, although like some other reviewers have already pointed out, it would be a good idea to roll dice for the starting icon in a single-player game, as frequently you can end up doing all of the work for the AI and losing by round 3 due to bad luck. It’s also really unrealistic that the AI always guesses correctly, even in cases where they could not have eliminated a suspect, weapon, or room. The multiplayer is still a bit buggy (and I agree that the prizes for winning seem meager), but other people have gone into that in much greater detail than I need to. My main purpose in writing this review is to let the developers know that these latest updates completely obliterated my tokens, my game cards, my score and my ranking. That’s not cool, folks. I’m sure you’re fully aware how much time your players invest in this. To have a lot of work wiped out due to an update is genuinely discouraging.

I wanted to love this …. because it would have been so fun playing w my family. But … if the multi player options are anything like the single player option, there isn’t much of anything to actually play. Sure, I tapped the screen to roll the dice. But that was it. The game zipped along, with each player in a room after each roll. No one was ever stuck in the hallways, because every roll was close enough to get into a room (except for me, because when I was trying to move it somehow thought I was ready to make an accusation halfway through and left me there). But the biggest disappointment is that it filled out my entire sheet for me! Not only who has what, but even who doesn’t have what. It gives me an option to mark things, but there’s nothing left for me to mark. I tried to find an option in Settings to disable that, but no dice. (Yes, bad board game pun.) So … I’m honestly not even sure what’s the point.

No Landscape, only vertical. iPads like Landscape.. That keeps it from five stars for me. Having to hit continue after everyone’s turn is a hassle and slows the game down. This is said so each person can update their detective pad. The computer updates your pad, plus there is enough down time for everyone to tweak their pad while it is others turns. Multiplayer was great. Had two full games on the new yacht map, and a four player game on traditional, this was 8am to10am on a school day. Only took a minute to load up after hitting the lobby. Great game, Great app. Well worth 4 to give it a try. Having to play vertical on an IPad may keep me from going all in and getting the many maps. Fun game, thanks for all the hard work.

Needs improvement. Solo is great, while multiplayers needs some improvement such as: -Kicking out those who stall every turn or who disconnect. We have to wait minutes just for them to make a move or hit continue since they are either trolling, taking too long, or disconnected. A normal 6 person game that usually takes 20 minutes took 40 minutes. -Awards and permanent score system is needed. We play games just for the leaderboard to reset, so whats the point of playing 100+ games just to have it reset? We need some incentive more than just a temporary leaderboard. Why not have a permanent leaderboard or level system to unlock new characters or boards that you can’t just buy? -Chat system is needed. Maybe not a full on chat system, but pre-filled phrases would be great. -Final accusation troll fix. Some people just hit final accusation to troll and then back out. -Final accusation bug. Whenever the timer runs out and you hit the submit button at the same time, your map turns into a blue background map, unable to see what’s going on until it’s your turn. -Different game modes. It would be cool to have different game modes such as a speed game, “can’t suspect your own card” game, etc. -Different music. The looping for some map music soundtracks get a little annoying. More music for those who don’t want to mute. This a good game and I really want it to be great. Hope you take my suggestions into thought. Thank you.

Needs a few new features, but good start.. There are not enough options for note-taking. Numbers should be at least 1-10. I should be able to make notes in my own column. I miss the deck of cards, but it plays well enough without that if I could just take more notes, like one would do on paper. Nice art on the character cards and board. Animations are also nice. It would be nice to be able to skip thru them when short on time or battery. I like that you give character options for your cards. ★ Thank you for your response. Also adding that each character COLOR should have male and female options and even some ambiguous options - something for everyone. In notes I want a column or two separate from my competition to make notes in. Thank you! Up ★★ → ★★★.

Finally! Where have you been!. EDIT: I shaved off a star because the multi-player, which came out a month ago, is really slow and wonky. It seems like there’s a 50/50 chance the app will freeze whenever I play multi-player; at first I thought it was just slow players, but it lagged repeatedly at the same moments in the game. The single-player version remains fantastic, however (but they need to add some sound effects to some of the rooms in the Castle Vampire version). Yes! A proper app that lets me play Clue whenever I want to! I love to interface, the graphics are great, and the note-taking functions are superb. Really smooth, handsome game! I play with the music off and the sound effects on, and it's great. If I could shave half a star off of this review, I would for one reason: the game allows you to purchase additional characters, but for some reason you can't play a "challenging" version of the game with all eleven suspects; it only allows six suspects for every game. I think that would be fun, as well as an update like the old "Master Detective" version of the same game. Also, some more "skins" or alternate versions of the board, please! Overall, good stuff, I'm really glad it's finally here and I'm glad I can exercise my brain with some six-player games, be they with actual human beings or AI.

I miss the old Clue app. While I appreciate the updated graphics this new version offers, I wish they kept the story-based mode the original Clue app offered in addition to the new modes. In the old version, it used a footstep-based pacing model instead of dice. Dialogue clues were used instead of cards. I found this to be more organic and it felt like playing detective point-and-click adventure game with endless replay value (best of both worlds). I regret deleting the old app from my phone as it is no longer accessible. The aesthetics of the new app are impressive and I like that you can add different character skins to keep it interesting. If they found a way to incorporate the old logic-based model into this new game, it would be perfect.

Do NOT waste your money on this game…. I wish I would have thoroughly read the reviews on this game BEFORE spending money on it… I bought this game solely to be able to play with my family now that we all live in different cities and states, but it NEVER WORKS for us!! I have YET to play a game to the end because the app WILL freeze while you’re on the play with friends option - which, again, is the ONLY reason I bought this app is because it advertises that you can play with friends. We have even been reaching out to the company several times over the past few months and reported the issue to give them chances to fix it, just to constantly be told they’re “sorry” and that they will “forward my email to the team” so that updates can be made. They have had ONE app update in the last 3 months, and it did not fix anything! We have since emailed stating that if they are unable to fix the problem then we would like our money back, and again we received the same basic response to make it look like they care about this issue when it’s obvious now that they don’t. Why would they care to fix the issue when you already gave them your money?

Needs Pause Function & See Notes in Post Game. Fun game, but in dire need of Pause ability for when you’re playing with family & friends and need to pause the game to attend other apps or matters-at-hand, or play the game as players have time. The way it stands now, the entire game is lost if any one player is interrupted by another app or “timed out”. It wouldn’t bother us if it took an entire week to play a game by pausing it as necessary. Just add a notification for when it’s your turn to move. We don’t always have time to sit down and play a full game start-to-finish. We’d just like to finish the ones we start. Also needs ability to see Notes after the game is over. That would increase the joy level tenfold.

Needs some reward incentives. I just bought the game and have played it nonstop for a day. Honestly, a lot of fun and a very smooth game. They make it simple and easy for note taking by making it automatic and also allowing you to make your own notes, with a few symbols. However, one con about the game that I found after playing for a day, is that there isn’t that rewarding feeling after the strategic puzzling you’ve gone through to win. Really wish there was some reward incentives other than seeing your name climb the leaderboard. I understand that there are in app purchases for better game cosmetics, however, I think you should unlock some cosmetics to be earned as a reward incentive. For example, unlocking certain characters with the stars you earn instead of using it towards the leadership board. I think it would be highly unlikely that someone would pay $2.99 for one character, when they can pay $5.99 for a character pack or $6.99 for a theme pack with the characters and board included. You can also add unlocking other things with stars like profile pictures, profile frames, and character frames. I took a look at the latest update which was 5 months ago. I hope you guys really take this into consideration for the next update, as I believe this could make the game so much better and so much more addicting!

3 1/2 Stars. I’m pretty sure I’ve been playing this game since it came out, and I’ve seen it through all its changes and additions. I started when it was just the one board and character set. The game has always worked well; I’ve never had problems with bugs. I paid for all the current and future boards/players months ago, and I mostly wish I hadn’t. I liked the Halloween and winter sets, but I’m not a fan of at least three of the other boards/sets—some of the themes seem weirdly lazy. I also think the characters all should have titles of at least Miss or Mr. I don’t like that there’s no way to get hint cards anymore, either. Another player said that they wished a roll of the dice would determine your playing sequence because going first isn’t really an advantage, and I agree. Hint cards come in handy when you’ve missed solving the puzzle by one player several times in a row. Sometimes you just need a win. My final beef: I don’t understand why you can only play one of each type of character. Why not be able to play all the Greens or Plums or Scarletts against each other? My suggestion to the developer for the next theme: royalty. How much fun would a medieval castle be?

Pretty good, needs a couple of things though. I like playing this game whenever I got a couple of minutes. I even bought all the skins. There are a few things I’d love to see added. 1. Little stories that go along with the skins. In the board game you get a reason as to why you’re at the mansion. Obviously you know why you’re there while playing the app, but there’s some skins that I feel like could have a nice little intro, like the Egyptian dig (why does peacock have a crown!?) 2. Landscape mode, this is what I really want. I love playing on my iPad before i bed. I like to prop it up so it’s horizontal. But when I play the game, there’s no landscape. I’d love it if there were a landscape mode to this game. That’s about it.

Very convenient!. This is just like the board game, just without the time taken from shuffling and writing! All of this is replaced by automatic randomizing and simple taps of the screen. All of the family can play, as well as friends from real life and the internet. There are also a lot of choices for skins, and you unlock even more if you pay a few more extra dollars. Just like skins, you can by maps to play. They even have both put together as a theme. Recently, I bought the Murder Express Theme and I’m quite happy with the product. I would definitely say this was worth the money! Thank you creators for this fun and convenient game! 😊

I love this game, but there are a few glitches. I love this game, it is so fun, and the graphics are amazing! I also love the new maps, like tropical mystery, Sherlock, Hollywood studio, and all the others! Tropical mystery is my favorite! I just need to talk about some glitches. The first one is about the AIs when playing with friends. I feel like sometimes, if you put it on easy they are harder, but if you put it in hard they are easier. And sometimes, no matter what difficulty, they get lucky sometimes and guess it too early. The last thing is a small glitch that has been going on for probably only about a week, but when I try to play with friends, I create a game, but when people join, they don’t show up for the person who start the game, and it is hard to get everyone into the game. And sometimes when the game finally starts, after a couple turns, the game freezes and it might say that the person left the game. I might like this to be fixed because I like to play this game with my friends online! Thank you for reading this!

Keeps freezing!!!. I have had this game for a few days now and have been actively playing everyday, I have found myself frustrated when it freezes mid game on the play with friends mode. Once it freezes you back out of the game you can not continue and have to restart. Now I am on single player mode playing I used the block hint on my last turn knowing the computer is getting close to the answer, a few people later it prompts me to use it. I can’t click it because I’ve already used it now it won’t let me click anything else making me back out and restart. For a game I’ve paid for and bought extra boards for I find this not worth my money to not be able to finish the game THAT I PAID FOR! If it was actually working all the time this would be a fun game. I will not be buying anymore boards after this.

Love it, except one flaw takes away a star. When it’s your turn, the dice blocks the view of the board, and where your opponents are at. Also, The room labels, I.e., hall, lounge, etc., covers the opponents so you can’t see which rooms they are in. We need to be able to see where the other players are located when we make our room choice. Maybe have the opponent colors bleed through the room label. But otherwise, I love this game, and hope you fix that flaw in the future, because then it will be perfect. I also suggest being able to note which of our own cards we have already revealed to other players. We are prevented from making any notations on the cards we are holding in our hand. I recommend this app, even with the flaws mentioned.

Let us look at the notes after the game. I play pretty much exclusively with AI, and the biggest reason that I knocked off 3 stars is the frustration dealing with said AI. I don’t recommend anything less than all hard due to how stupid situations come up way too often. Such as getting locked into a corner cause everyone is in the same room and has to repeat the exact same suggestion that includes your character (4-6 players), knowing the answer due to finding out no one has the cards and passing. Occasionally an AI will make an accusation with ruled out cards (the game added the x automatically to the character and weapon for example, leaving only the room as the logical choice to disprove the suggestion yet was the card in the final accusation), unclear source of information or “guess”. There is no way to keep the AI “honest” or learn from own mistakes, if there is no way to go back and verify notes afterwards. This is the only thing holding 3 stars back.

Perfect except…. I really love this app! The design is seamless and the game is really fun to play, especially with friends. I also really love that the game automatically crosses off items you “find” so you don’t need to remember. Love this game!!! The only thing I wish is that there weren’t so many in-app purchases ($3.99 per level and more $$ for more characters?). Considering the app itself isn’t free, it’s kinda a bait & switch. It should either be $3.99 for the app and you get 2 levels and more/all characters or the app is free with the current settings. Also, the levels should be $.99-$1.99, $3.99 for EACH level would add up quickly.

FIXED - Multiplayer Does Not Work - FIXED. ***UPDATE: After reaching out to the Developer team last week I was informed and update was coming in the next few days and then saw that it was available the next morning. Updated the app, and now I am having so much fun with my friends! A great developer team with very quick response and they even gave me a list of troubleshooting procedures to get it fixed! Thanks for the amazing game. I am already addicted to multi player! **************** ORIGINAL REVIEW: Multiplayer option to host an online game for you and your friends does not work. Was literally the sole reason me and a friend bought this game in such hard times during COVID-19. Please refund me or fix the game ASAP. I am on lockdown in my own home and I’m going crazy.

Could be 10/10. I love this game.. I've played it for years. But I've had one primary complaint in all the time I've been playing it that I just can't understand why there hasn't been a solution yet. I always play the online version with random opponents.. The game pauses when a player navigates away from the app. The game doesn't tell you what's going on.. it doesn't boot the inactive player after any amount of time.. and the actual active players are left to just sit and stare at a game that WILL NOT PROGRESS. This is SO FRUSTRATING. Especially when you're already multiple rounds into a game, then you sit there for 10 minutes waiting for the game to unpause, and you're forced to quit. It's such a waste of time.

Highly recommend- few snags have been solved!. This is one of my favorite games on my phone that does not get old. I love the original board game, but this brings it to the next level with great graphics, music ,and automated play. I sprung for the expanded boards and characters pack, and despite the high price, it was definitely worth it. There were some issues playing multiplayer when the game would freeze and lock out, but it seems that recent updates have solved that issue- kudos developers! One thing that would make the rest of my 2020 seem bright would be additional boards and characters, as the most recent reviewer recommended below. Thank you!!!

Great but.... Omg I love this game, if anyone else makes a clue game they will never be able to be this. I would just like to say can you please make more boards and characters because you guys make awesome boards and characters. I love this game and I love playing with my family, but here comes the only problem with that. Sometimes it kicks me out and then it’s says I’m kicked out while I’m playing with my family like this morning for no reason and makes me a computer on there’s and makes all of them computers on mine which I don’t like and it didn’t happen to them. Please can you fix this soon and then that would be outstanding! Hope to see even cooler things in the future! -a fan :)

Favorite game. I got this game when it was super cheap because I love clue but don’t always have real people to play with (then covid happened). I haven’t bought any extras and I don’t play online so I use it for the basic but it’s a great game with superb graphics and gameplay. I recommend it to everyone as it keeps my mind active. My only con is that within the last few months (can’t remember exactly when) the sound stopped working. No matter what I do the game is silent. It’s not a huge deal for me as it doesn’t impact gameplay but sometimes I wish I had the music to listen to while I play. I still love this app and game and play almost every night!

A few changes and perfect. All the things in this Game R awesome! The only thing that I would change is maybe just leave out the purchases but if you can’t leave out the purchases I would totally recommend lowering the price or even having no price at all that’s what I would really recommend. I really like how you can switch between easy medium and hard because I’m usually easy/medium level but I sometimes do hard. Could you put a box where you could type a message to the other players? I really like to interact with people and I think that interacting with the robots or your friends or whatever would be awesome. I also like the hints because sometimes you just need a hint really bad. Thank you so much for adding the cancel button!!! I almost made an accusation (for example, Professor Plum in the lounge with the dagger), but I clicked the cancel button because I didn’t want to accuse too early, I want to verify so thank you for making the cancel button! Maybe the app can not take up so much storage? If you read this review, developers, Please listen to this review.

Should be much better. This game is not as good as either of the PC versions that came out in 1998 and 2008. The graphics are fine and the app works as intended, but it isn’t faithful to the game, and the in-app purchases or deceiving, in my opinion not in good faith. First, the board is different than the original board game. Players all start in the center, rather than in their traditional peripheral spots. Miss Scarlet normally always go first, which I guess they’ve dropped for equality. But the doors and spaces between the rooms have all been changed, which removes the strategic component of using your token to block out other players. Also, classic rules are that the player must declare if he or she is going to use a secret passage, or stay in room that someone has moved them into, prior to rolling the dice. This version doesn’t follow those rules. My biggest issue is that there is a $6.99 Classic Board and Characters bundle, which I purchased, and no refund is possible. The board is exactly the same, just with different artwork. That’s outrageous...if you advertise it as the classic board, it should be the classic board. But it has the exact same terrible new layout, the changes are only cosmetic. It seems like every ten years a new electronic version of this game is released, and each one is worse than the previous one.

2.9.1 Version Update Issues. Just updated the game on my phone and my boyfriends phone. We went to play a game and it took multiple tries to even join and enter the lobby. And then when you hit tap when ready, we are still sitting in the lobby and the game won’t progress like it normally does. On top of there are no additional buttons other than tap when ready. Tried to restart the app plenty of times between the both of us. Not sure if this is an issue related to the new version update but it makes it frustrating to try to play. Please fix this.

Great App. I absolutely love this game. I purchased the three game bundle and got Life and Battleship. They are are fun and smooth running games. I think a way to boot people off would be good on Life because some people don’t pay attention or are busy or something and you end up having to wait forever for them to take their turn or you have to leave the game. I think it would be fun for Clue to have a little menu to cheer opponents lol...sounds weird but I’ve played some people that are super quick to solve and I’m over here thinking...”that’s awesome dude.” Great games. Can’t wait to buy each theme. Just can’t afford all that at once for the discounted bundle.

Not bad. It’s good, you win through making suggestions. I would only maybe suggest adding a little more? When you win, it just ends, there’s nothing to reward your victory. Not even a better upbeat background tune. It leaves much to be desired after spending so long winning it and recovering the bare minimum. In real life, the reward is seeing the others defeated looks or yells of frustration, but you can’t do that online so I thought they’d have some other way to make it worthwhile. Honestly speaking, not really worth 4$ if you have the actual board game and some people you can play with. Not to mention how you have to pay so much inside to game for all these individual things, quite clearly a money grab scheme.

Online mode/Hints. A few things that annoy me: One is whenever I play online (and for the record my wifi is fine) why does it allow other players to delay for SO LONG? Its not fair because whenever I take “too long” it times me and then just decides for me which I understand when you are playing with people online but why is that every time an online opponent takes “too long” they don’t get limited time? They just get to delay however long they want? When it lags like that it drains my battery and sometimes they take so long I end up quitting. Or sometimes it will freeze. Second is there should be some kind of snooze when a player leaves the game. I play on my phone and sometimes need to check something outside of the app but if I am playing online I have to make sure I am not away from the app or it freezes and kicks me off and I have to start over. There is a game called evil apples that just snoozes a player from a game if they leave the app or take too long to respond. HINTS: I understand how to use the hints in single player. But I noticed when I play online that other players are able to block me. So unfair! I only have the option to use hints if its single player but why can’t I use the hints like “blocking” when playing online??? But other players can? Come on!

So fun, online games are limited. This game is so fun. I loved Clue as a kid and have really, really loved playing it as an adult! My only criticism is that the only options for playing online are 3 or 6 players. I'm guessing this is the keep the cards even? I originally thought that the option "any number" meant literally any amount of players... After many, many games I've decided that isn't the case. I strongly feel as if people choose the any amount of player option, they should and would be okay with an unequal number of cards. This would just allow for more variety in difficulty and strategy. I see how deciding who had more vs less cards would be difficult.. Perhaps the spin to see who goes first could happen prior to drawing cards and the cards could be distributed starting with who goes first? Whatever the solution, I would love to see this option added!

A Bit Buggy. I love Clue, and was super excited to see that this was available to purchase and play online with other players. The games great when it works. The loading for online players for a six person match is messed up. Either you get stuck in a five person loading lobby waiting for a sixth player - or when you do get a lobby with six players it doesn’t continue to the game. There’s also a bug that when a game finally starts and it’s the first players turn - the dice doesn’t show up for some time so your sitting in a game that’s about to start for some time. Once the game gets going it’s fine. But to actually load in and start a game is where the frustration lies. I feel as though if those bugs were fixed people would be more inclined to purchase in app purchases because the game is fluid and actually works.

There are some issues.... If you love clue, you will definitely enjoy this app. I do, and I play all the time. I do have a problem with it though. I recently purchased the “Warning” hint for $2. It is supposed to show you how close other players are to solving the crime. I have tried it in single player and multiplayer mode, and it doesn’t work. Tried clicking on it to activate it, it gives a message that says the hint is permanent and doesn’t need activated. Looked on the app for a way to report the problem, there is no way. Even tried coming to the app store and clicking the “App Support” button to see if I could report the problem that way, and it took me to a page that says “404 error page not found.” If you want people to spend as much money on this app as you expect, you should most DEFINITELY have a way for them to report errors. Until then, my rating stays low.

Online play still has computers. I love this game and play it often, but I recently discovered that half the time you are playing “online” with people, it is actually just computers playing instead. You can tell because at the end if they get it right, when no one has a card to show, they will not make an accusation, and then the game just continues until it’s your turn and you “win” because you now know all 3 cards. I can also tell when I go into a game lobby and then go out, then go back into another theme and it’s the same usernames in each different theme lobby. Just really disappointing and also makes it way less fun. Please fix this issue. I would rather wait for real people to play with instead of just a bunch of fake computers on “online” play.

Love Clue, this game is ok though.... I love Clue. I play it with family and friends on gamenights and at partys. This game is dead on considering layout and how to play. The graphics, though, are bad. I feel like there should be more animation and more creative design. The characters on the game board are not good. They look like colored blobs. At least they move where they are supposed to go. The game is mostly the same except character design. The characters look different. SCARLET IS A BLONDIE! SHE WAS BRUNETTE! AND PLUM IS SUPPOSED TO BE A GINGER! CERNAL MUSTARD LOOKS FOREIN! HE DOESNT EVEN LOOK LIKE HE’S SUPPOSED TO BE IN THIS GAME! WHAT THE CRAP! The board feels smaller than it was, originally. I thought it had 11-12 rooms but this one feels like it has 5. The board is really small. Please send something back, developers, because I need anwsers.

My favorite game at the table, and on iPad. I love this game. Clue has been my favorite game since I was a little kid, and it does not disappoint now more than 20 years later. I go through spells where I play this game for hours at a time, it’s just so fun. Especially the online component, which brings in more challenge than the computers do in offline mode. My one gripe for this game is that it is played in portrait mode. I had an iPad Pro, one of the original ones that is gigantic, so it’s hard to lay in bed and balance it in front of me while I play. I wish the game had landscape mode, so the iPad could be held a little more naturally. I use my iPad almost exclusively in landscape mode, anyway, it’s just this one game I have to flip it for. Please, please, please make it in landscape.

Clue is definitely Classic. This game is great! My least favorite thing about the actual board game was that you couldn't go into rooms that other players are blocking the doorway to.... but in the app, that doesn't happen!! The only thing I don't like is that there are as I call "cheat cards" that you can use but you have to pay for, which means the higher you pay, the greater your ability to manipulate your chances of winning, but, since you only play computer players and not online with other people, I guess it doesn't make too much of a difference. I haven't paid any additional money other than the download price, and I have full access to all I need to enjoy the game. All the extra purchases are cosmetic and unnecessary. Overall: awesome game, love it!

Make another mystery game. I found this game town of Salem were you get roles that do stuff and you have to find the mafia or the money costing version coven and you can also chat so please make a game like that and change up the roles a little bit and please do not make bad words available in chat please make a game like this :) because I know this company is really good at making mystery games and just games in general so s suggest you make it free but add in game purchases tip ( make the game free and if they really like they will probably buy your in game purchases but don’t make to many in game purchases because if you have to many your customer or gamer will get upset ) so please take my advice and this game is really worth the buy I also suggest to buy more of these games so this company can make more awesome games like this and also just buy then because they are really cool awesome and fun

Based too much on luck. I downloaded this app and played for about a week before I deleted it. I learned several different steps of logic and reasoning this game involves. Unfortunately, a lot of the game depends on when you take your turn. If I was the first to take a turn, then on my 4th turn I wouldn’t have enough information to know the answer. However, if I was fifth or sixth to take a turn, I wouldn’t get a 4th turn because one of the computer players would have the opportunity to answer first. In either case I had to guess on my 4th turn with less than enough information and just hope I was right. I’m not interested in guessing; solving a mystery should only involve logical application of reason. The rules of this game are ridiculous. As soon as a player wants to offer an accusation they should be able to do so. It should be about who can solve the mystery first, not about whether or not it’s your turn.

Great game but CRASHES ALL THE TIME!. First off, this game is amazing. All the different settings and character outfits are incredible. The art style is very articulate and beautifully created. They do a great job with setting the stages well. What they don’t do well is their updates. We haven’t received any new levels for over a year and when they do update the game, they seem to add a whole bunch of glitches to the game. I’ve lost track on how many times the game has frozen in the midst of a match, where are my friends and I have to reboot the game and start all over. We’ve seen glitches where the backgrounds of scenes suddenly have weird kaleidoscope errors or portions of the background disappear entirely. If it wasn’t for all the errors and glitches, I would happily give this game a five out of five stars. But the lack of care they seem to have for just stabilizing the game much less add a new contact is straight up disappointing. 😔

Worth it...a streamlined Clue game. I read all the reviews before I bought the App. Played the first game and loved it. After playing many more games I bought the very expensive clue boards and characters pack. I am not sorry I did, it really makes the game so much better. Now for some board suggestions: 1. Outer space theme...with an alien as a weapon 2. Spy theme, like James Bond. 3. Caribbean Cruise 4. Christmas theme..top priority for sales guaranteed 5. High school reunion 6. Island paradise 7. College campus murder 8. Zoo murder 9. Remote Antarctic research lab 10. Remote summer camp by a lake 11. Murder at a wedding...with scarlet as a bride of course. 12. Underwater research station 13. 50’s, 70’s, 80’s themed event 14. Theme park murder 16. Death in the sky... on an airplane 17. Adventure/ Tomb raiding expedition...maybe in the pyramids. 18. Death on the Nile...river boat murder. ...and don’t forget lots more great costumed characters. This makes the game extra special and adds a ton of replay value.

Great game/needs some gameplay updates. I love the game. 1.It would be nice to have new board packages a little more often as well as more animation. I enjoy switching up the boards and players. 2.Also it would be nice to have comments available like in monopoly. Like, “please hurry up” because I think people forget to press the “continue” button once another player completed their turn. It kind of makes for an extra long game. 3.lastly it would be awesome if you could keep track of our all time wins. Sometimes I’m winning so many, that I wish I could see how well I am ranking by wins not how many points. Like, you feel like a genius when you win back to back to back.

Well Done!!!. This is an outstanding achievement. The rooms and characters are beautifully rendered, and if you want you can purchase different versions and themes. I also appreciate that they don’t try to gouge you - the game is complete and ready to go with the basic purchase. But the real achievement here is the functionality. CLUE is a very tricky game to design in a digital format and they have produced a smart and logical and interconnected interface and functionality. Last and not least, the computerized characters are able to ask for suspects, weapons or Rooms they already have in their hands. This is critical to the game, and older versions weren’t programmed with such depth. Thus if the computer asked to see Miss Scarlett, you knew the computer didn’t have it, so all strategy was lost. Well done ladies and gents!!!

Great Game, Bad Online Players. The game is fantastic, but I can’t get over how bad players are online. The goal of clue is to gather as much information as possible while giving out as little as possible. People online will figure out who the murder is and sit there and accuse that same character over and over and over, giving the information to everyone else in the game, and inevitably someone else who has figured out the weapon and room picks up on this and wins the game despite the fact they should still need more information to solve it. Or my other favorite is the payer that enters the game, makes one accusation and then makes an incorrect final accusation and is out of the game 1 minute in, leaving it a 2 player game.

Overall Great - Four Issues. Graphics are amazing, game play is seamless, and never experienced any glitching. Really enjoying it. Four issues: #1: As others have stated, starting in #1 position on hard means you’re going to have to guess without all necessary information nearly every game, or another player will win. You get three rolls, four if you’re lucky.. but if you could roll a die to determine your position randomly, or follow the board game rules and always start with Scarlett then go in order it would be great. #2: $35 to unlock the game content after paying $3-$5 for the game is absurd. Make it $9.99 total and I’ll buy it. The board game is $8.99 at Walmart. #3: Give us the traditional character skins with the initial purchase instead of making THAT character pack an add on. #4: For the life of me (other than for ranking) I can’t figure out how the score works. It’s not in the App Store description, not in the game, and not listed online anywhere. Please tell me how the score system works and how to get higher scores per game... Time? Difficulty level? Number of players? Number of suggestions? I have no idea what factors in. Great classic game.

Multiplayer - Bugs and Glitches. Other than that we were playing with no interruptions except for this. Also an option to choose timed or not would be nice, with tweaks to how slow or how fast you want it. Also someone else tried to use the reveal card and it didn’t work for them. Reveal needs fixing. The game on multiplayer was in-sync with us this time though. The dlc is what I call way overpriced since one board is more than the game itself, and seeing as how you have to pay more than the actual game clue itself, even with multiplayer semi-fixed I’m not sure why the boards and characters cost so much. Fix the glitches with the 3 things u get to use every game please. It still is getting stuck when showing someone a card.

What the?. I would give this game five stars except for a few truly annoying features: - you pay a pretty commensurate price for a game of this type and quality but they want you to pay more on in-app purchases to “unlock” all the characters/boards which, per their “deal” right now if 55% off would be over $30. Seriously??? For a board game?! and that’s over half off what you’ll charge people later? - it gave me a profile name “politelion” and won’t let me change it anywhere that I can see... what? How the heck did I suddenly become “politelion”??? Never in a million years is that a combination of words that would even come out of my mouth. So strange... - in game advertisements. Usually when you pay for a game you don’t have to see any advertisements but they have no problem throwing up huge ads for their other games that you have to consciously Avoid pressing on it less you be taken to an option to throw more money at them I do love playing the game and on the single board they provide for your $4 and the limited characters it is fun. But it would be great knowing I paid for the full app and don’t have to spend more money to use other characters and boards

Excellent game, but…. There seems to be a glitch where you tap to mark a note at the same time the other player shows their card. It just shows up as blank and I cannot make a note of whether the person has the card or not because it is blank. Also, I would REALLY love an option to hide the gold ultimate detective badge because for some reason, players tend to run away whenever I join a room to the point where playing is not as fun. There is no option to hide that badge, so I’m sad about that because I keep seeing a message where the host has left a room. Overall, this is one of my favorite apps. I love the different boards and characters.

I wish I hadn’t spent the money. What you pay to start with is not all you will pay trust me. Once the game loads you have to pay more money for boards and avatars. You are looking at bout $40+ to really enjoy the game. The game has good graphics and is interesting to play but I’m not really sure it’s worth the money you have to pay. Cheaper to buy the game in a store and play with your friends IRL. Change the amount you have to pay and I will give a better review. High I hadn’t spent the money.

$10 per theme pack?!. I like that you can finally play a legit version of this game on your devices but I find it ridiculous that after you pay for the game, you have to pay more money for more characters and different boards. And on top of that the prices for those things are really high! $10 for each theme?! Come on guys. They should make those things unlockable over time with certain achievements, or the more you play a certain character, the more versions of that character you can unlock etc.

Where to begin. One Star for the game is fun to play as is without any of the in app purchases. Also it's half the cost buying it here than on Steam on a pc. Customer service is great if you have or find a bug, but... Buying the in app purchases for this game at current price is like living in the Arctic and paying extra for yellow snow. Selling a theme pack 1/2 price of 1/2 price is still to high. If you ever did? (Why I would have no CLUE?) decide to buy everything unlocked after you bought a single pack...you would be buying that pack & or characters again. Offline and rankings? Why? There is no way to see offline or online the thousands of users only the top 20 and bottom 6. Are the thousands real? Don't be afraid of online games. There no chat feature...if????? It's all real people (doubtful) there's no way of tracking who your playing unless they are on Facebook and you can find them. One plays with way to many people that use characters that you have to buy at an unrealistic price. In the top/bottom 26 only 2-3 have paid the ridiculous $$ (currently can tell by the gold frame). When you play against standard characters, you are playing with real people most likely. It would be nice to know if someone has a poor internet connection (connection speed% would be nice). However, they do drop eventually I think. Instead of charging ridiculous price for in app purchase. How about discount for placing 1st 2nd 3rd...?anywhere in the top 20 for the week? How about one dollar for a theme. More real people might play for a chance to win. HMMMN. If any of these issues are addressed I will edit my review or if they create new issues...expect the same. Who knows if they fix these issues like so many have pointed out they may get better reviews from more real people.

Always want more money. I loved this app when I bought it (3.99$) and it was ad free. Now all they want is money for hint cards, money for new characters, money for new boards and they advertise their other games like the Life game on the home page. I am so frustrated that I paid for a really nice app and that they ruined it with all of their money hungry updates. Give me the version I bought back and I’ll be happy. Also, even at 55% off the bundle for everything is just ridiculously priced at 42$, I don’t even want to see the regular price, for that amount I’ll buy a physical version and stop being harassed for more money!

The online room with friends does not work. Made my friends get this game so we can play a room and we cannot join. Keeps saying the code is invalid. Only one person can join. Favourite game growing up. This is an incredible game that my whole family plays together. Its so simple to keep track and play virtually from a distance. The only 2 glitches in my opinion are that once the game is over we like to discuss who we thought done it and our cards. I wish we could see our notes after each game. As well if u have to leave the app to, for example take a call, it kicks you out of the game. All in all we play a lot and hope to see more improvement in an already fun game

Purchase History Fails to Sync. Bought the Ultimate Package on my iPhone, but on my iPad although the game says that I have already bought it, the boards only shows “Buy Now” and cannot access it. Hasbro, learn some basics on how to design mobile games first, or I’d rather hope you stick to your traditional physical board games.

No Pass and Play. Disappointed there is no pass and play. Listing local multiplayer as a feature is extremely misleading. Wish I could pass my iPad to another player before the cluesheet is shown.

Recent update fixed multiplayer for iPhone 6. The last update has finally allowed me to play on multiplayer! There are the few odd times where the game fails to start from the character selection page, but other than that, works just fine!

Love the game but could use some improvements. I loved playing Clue as a kid and the online game is alot of fun to play. I especially love the extended character looks and themes. I have three issues that I hope can be worked on in future updates that would make the gameplay perfect. -Player selection: I have my favorite character I want to play. While waiting for players to join, why can’t I see my character until everyone else is in? This glitches sometimes and I can see my character with only two players, other times I have to wait for a full room. Can it be adjusted to show the character right away, this was I can leave the room if my character choice is not available? -Allow note taking for “my cards”. I take hand notes now for the cards I have. Please enable this feature. -Add one more number, “6”, that we can use for our guesses. I have to manually track what guesses I make right now. Thank you for your consideration.

Please fix the glitches!. 1. Please fix the glitches like the waiting rooms not loading, the game freezing, the gold sifter machine appearing in the graveyard in the Wild West board. I really like this game but it is extremely infuriating when these things happen and they happen ALL THE TIME. 2. Somethings not necessary but I think would make the game more fun. -make it so you can play with friends AND other people online. Right now the only option when playing with friend when you don’t have enough is to play computers and the computers are stupid. -instead of just everything being for sale maybe make some things unlockable. I feel like adding another incentive would keep people’s interest longer. -add more boards and characters every once in a while. Like scooby doo, miss marple, Nancy drew etc. (I understand maybe having to buy licensed characters but add more original characters and make them unlockable) My mom and I have been playing this game for months now and there hasn’t been a single update to fix anything. Hi Developers, please read. First off, great version of the classic; I’ve bought all the boards and personas because I love it! Just one request, could we please have 4, 5 players option on the multiplayer mode please. Sometimes it’s nice to play with more than 3 but not with the overwhelming 6. The uneven distribution of cards is not an issue, never was in the board game, and some people like that extra challenge. Please, please make this option available just like the board game, thanks for reading!

Great app. This app has been a must to have on my phone for like a year+ now. It’s easy to find a multiplayer match and it stimulates your brain in a positive way. Also, there is a ton of different boards and they are all designed with good care, it’s definitely worth it to get extra boards/characters. My personal favorite is the Sherlock Holmes one. At first I’m not gonna lie, I had no clue how to play clue, I grew up playing monopoly and candy land lol. This app made it pretty easy to figure out what was going on after like 5 or so games and it’s been a blast ever since. Highly recommend this app!

GLITCHY: fixed. When the game works it’s really fun, but it often glitches out when people are playing online. My family has had several times when we’ve played and has randomly kicked someone off the game and replaced them with an AI. One time it did so without even informing us they had been replaced! We started playing two separate games without even realizing. Please fix this and make the app less glitchy. Update: it looks like the game has gotten better, and there are less bugs now. We enjoy playing this game a lot!

Best Clue Ever!. I’m so happy to finally have a game like this to play anytime. My all time favorite board game has always been Clue (loved the movie too) and I am a die hard mystery/detective fan (Sherlock Holmes, Agatha Christie, etc). The creators have done a great job of keeping true to the original while also making it seem new again by adding additional characters and locations (for additional $). I highly recommend getting the package deal...then whenever they update with new themes, it’s a surprise! My only complaint is that I can only play on my iPhone....when will you update so there is an app available on Kindle fire tablets?

New updates caused problems for my family. Just like twinklefairies described, our family updated the game and we’ve had constant problems. Half the time, the game freezes while we’re choosing the bots. The other half, the game freezes in the middle of our playing. We have not been able to finish a game since this ridiculous update! Additionally, we want the bots to go back to being chosen by the computer and not by us. It takes a longer time to start the game when we’re using bots and the computer should choose what characters the bots are. Whoever made this update needs to either be fired or retrained on how to do a proper game update because this is not it. Updates are supposed to make things better, not worse. Please restore this FORMER A+ game to its original glory! Current grade: F.

Amazing!. I love this game so much! It’s so nice because you don’t have to worry about shuffling or give extra cards or errors with the game! It’s also nice because you can play online with players from three to six! And if nobody wants to play the original board game at home with you and you don’t want to wait for online people to finish their turn you can play single player! You can then choose exactly how many people you want and how smart the robot is! You don’t have to wait at all for the robot! There is also MANY different new skins! The game also includes hints! I really suggest you buy this game!

Cannot connect to online.. I’ve been going through forums and I am not the only one experiencing the issue of only being able to play single player. I tried to restore purchases and it tells me and my friends that there is no wifi/internet connection detected. We all restarted our phones, deleted the app and downloaded it again but nothing works. Also the in-game purchasing are pretty stupid. The way you’re cash grabbing from people for pointless things— Main issue is connectivity. Fix this or my friends and I will be asking for refunds. $4 game and can’t even connect.

Perfect. Been waiting for this one since the first iPhone. Would like to see multiplayer. Would like to be able to advance animation between rooms and/or turn it off completely. UPDATE 8/7: Would like to be able to set opening title / loading screen to whichever board theme was last used. Understand these are used to advertise latest available theme, but... UPDATE 8/14: The banner announcing player’s turn should extend across screen on iPad the way it does on iPhone. For aesthetic reason, I suggest removing the question mark next to the accusation warning on the end-turn popup.

Lots of fun to play!. This app is worth the $$ especially if you’re into Clue! I used to love this game growing up and had forgotten how to play but after downloading this app the game is so fun and interactive, I have had a blast playing. Taking notes in the game has never been easier, before I bought the app I knew that feature could be a make it or break it for the game but it is so easy and fun to use. Wish we didn’t have to pay real money to unlock more characters or mansions but it is still fun. I like that they have easy medium and hard levels, keeps it a bit more interesting when I play again.

Not great for casual play. This offers a pretty great rendition of the game. My big issue is that it is almost impossible to play casually. My wife and I both downloaded it to play while traveling. However, you can’t turn off the time limits the game sets for you to take your turn, and they are very short. You also can’t leave the app without leaving a game. So if you are, say, having a conversation, a drink, or dinner while playing together, you will almost certainly run out of time and lose turns—or even get booted from the game. These measures might make sense if you’re playing online with strangers, but there ought to be a more casual way to play. This is Clue, after all, not a major competitive esport.

WASTE of time and phone memory space. I bought the family board game set. Monopoly, Clue, Battleship, and Life. Clue is the most technologically messed up game in the bunch. They need to take the time update it. Monopoly has come such a far way, where its three predecessors were lost and forgotten. In the game of clue the structure of the app looks outdated. They give you the option to play with others, although you see each other in the same lobby you realize quickly that you both are in two different games and your profile names are being used in each. If a person bought an upgrade within the game, they cannot extend that upgrade and play with those that don’t have it (monopoly does.) I feel cheated, like a toddler holding a remote with no batteries. This game is misleading!

Play With Friends. I love Clue, the game is great! BUT when you do the Play With Friends mode, it keeps telling us that our passcodes are invalid and we have to keep entering over and over until it gets accepted. And now we just realized (we’re sitting next to each other playing) that we’re playing with each other but our games are moving at different speeds and computers are guessing different things? Example: I was in the middle of my turn and my friend was ending her turn on her phone. And Scarlet went (computer) and guessed Plum, Candlestick, Library on my app but on my friends it was Green, Candlestick, Library. Just for an example. Very confusing and makes it hard for it to be any fun anymore playing together, just frustrating

Glitchy. In theory I love that you can play anonymously with other people online but it’s very glitchy and will freeze often. For example: someone made a suggestion and I had a card to show - when it got to me it froze for about six minutes before prompting me to show the card I had. I “showed” it, and then got another prompt saying I was running out of time to show a card. My timer ran out, the game stayed frozen, I finally quit after another six minutes. It’s definitely not my internet, I have VERY good wifi and never have connectivity issues with any other app or device. Please fix this!!!

Some suggestions to an awesome game.. Clue Master Detective board would be a nice addition. This would expand the gameplay tremendously. In the physical board game if another player suggests your player and you’re pulled into that room, at the start of your turn you have the option to suggest without rolling the dice. However, in this version it forces you to roll the dice even if you stay in the room to make a suggestion. Why? You should be able to without having the roll the dice unnecessarily. Would be nice if the computer makes a mistake once in a while and make incorrectly accusations, like a human would. Plays too perfectly.

Micro transactions and Advertisements. Usually you don’t have this issue with games you buy up front. With Clue though you get one board and have to buy the additional 11 levels separately. You don’t have access to all the characters either. You have to buy additional characters as well. If you were thinking about not being Caucasian, or the token Asian named Orchid, be ready to spend money for that. It often suggests you buy one of their other games like Life too. Games take about 10 minutes to play in single player. Not a lot of bang for your $4. 5/5 of my games thus far Colonel Mustard has been the murderer. Either I should buy a lottery ticket, a programmer really hates that guy, or the game just isn’t good at randomizing outcomes. Would recommend rebranding the game “EA Sports presents Clue.” It would be more transparent.

Multiplayer stops working. I had this on my phone and on my iPad, loved it only in multiplayer because I could play with my friends. However, two weeks ago, I stopped being able to use multiplayer on my phone even though I was connected to WiFi (and tried different WiFis, at first thinking it was something with my home). Today, I had a new update and now I cannot do multiplayer on my iPad in addition to the iPhone. I bought the big package for all the game boards, so I could play with my friends and now it’s stopped working after a month! When the problem first happened on my phone I figured there would be an update to help and now with the new update it’s gotten worse as it’s taken multiplayer from my iPad too.

Paying for characters that are people of color. I appreciate my favorite childhood board game being available online. But I am disappointed that all the free characters (save possibly for Dr. Orchid) are white. If I want to play a character that is black, Hispanic, Asian, Middle-Easter or any other person of color, I would need to pay money. Why would someone need to pay more to play a character who looks like them? This is an example of structured racism where the default is white. Luckily, it’s an easy fix. Will you please create free characters of different ethnicities so one doesn’t need to purchase them to feel represented? I’ll give 5 stars once the fix is made. Thank you so much.

Rating for Single Player. Definitely good for practicing and picking up good methods of note tracking in Clue. Especially being able to play when you don’t have more than one friend on hand. Those two things alone are worth the money to me. Have not tried anything besides single player against computer, and I have seen others mention issues with that. It sounds like a time limit would be necessary for playing with randoms online to make sure the game progresses. It would be nice to be able to pay more to play multi-player with friend from your own account instead of them having to purchase on their phone (just like owning the game).

Great game! Worth it!. Game takes up lots of storage but good game and good quality. There must be a way to remove unnecessary data so iPhones won't have to use 1.3 G to download all iap. Fun to play whenever and able to play online multiplayer or by yourself with added AI (computer/bot). Just wish you could customize profile more and get achievements or something? Objectives make the game very fun and addicting but that's what I'm looking for. Season pass is worth it. Just would like to see more added features to make the game more competitive and exciting/less storage usage for iOS devices. Love the work!

Can we get an update?. I play on iOS and this is the ONLY game I choose to play .. when playing in single player the game works great but when playing online the game is SUPER glitchy. Examples: game takes forever to load, game gets stuck mid play, can’t roll dice, can’t press continue button to resume play, etc. I understand when playing other people they may click out the game or quit during play which possibly results in why the game functions like this but is there anyway to get an mpc or computer player to load as soon as someone quits or anything else that would help this issue? Thanks kindly.

“Restore purchases” doesn’t restore purchases. I’d previously had this game and many other hasbro games on my last phone. It broke recently. I was able to download the games for free but the restore purchases button doesn’t restore purchases and there’s no actual way to sign in or connect an account. So unless you’ll be keeping your current device forever, don’t waste your money on these guys. It doesn’t transfer to new devices. Oh, and there’s no in-app way to seek help for the issue.

Fun, good quality, but...... problems. The game is great. Good graphics, bug free it seems.... however, on iOS 13.1.1 and iPhone 11, it kills the battery and the phone runs super hot. This means the game is running background processes OR crunching way too much data none stop like its trapped in a loop OR it’s just awful programming. Either way, this app just over taxes the phones CPU and again, runs super hot and kills the batter. I’ve got a lot of much more intensive apps and games that use a fraction of the power of this one.... it makes not sense.... none the less, it’s a fun game, true to the board game. The in app purchases are insane though.... :(

great game but seems scripted. This is a great game - the difficulty levels are spot-on and the way it fills in the info you've acquired is really intuitive. Update: Still enjoying the game after a couple months, although since the most recent update, the games feel much more scripted. A great game overall though and competing on the leaderboards is fun. Update: The developers have made some nice improvements, but the single player games are so obviously scripted that it becomes really frustrating. When they were selling hint cards, rigging the game made sense to entice you to purchase hints. But now that the hint cards aren’t available for purchase, I wish they’d update the game engine to be random.

A few glitches. Every once in a while, it takes a few tries to get a game going; sometimes the app won’t work for days, indicating, for example, there is no wifi connection, when, in fact, there is. Sometimes games freeze up entirely, or there are significantly long holdups, apparently to reestablish connections. It would be nice if one could enter numbers in various colors. I received a nice email from Marmalade indicating they are working on the freeze-up problem, but I am currently unable to get a game started, as it appears to be frozen in the sign-in process.

Love it but why the numbers?. Love the play, love the costumes, love the scenery. Fair price for everything. Would like to see more stuff come out. Hate the ratings. I dislike being rated for playing a game I just want to have fun with. I don’t want to use the hints all the time but I don’t want to be told my game was easy but that I scored so low. That is not fun! BIGGEST QUESTION: what the heck are the 1-5 numbers for? They are insertable in the table of guesses (like hints in Sudoku) but they don’t seem to mean anything. There is no example or reason for these in the instructions, they never appeared in the original board game. Why have them if they do nothing?

Outdated graphics and pay2play character. While the game itself is a lot of fun and works great, there is no dedicated iPad version and the graphics are not HD/Retina ready, which is frankly disappointing. The game is 10 years old and should be updated in this regard. Also it seems that the developers of the game are more interested and making the most money out of the game rather than delivering an outstanding game, as their extremely overpriced add-on policy reveals. Even if you pay 3.99 for the game itself, you presented with in game ads and purchase opportunities at every turn, which is frankly very annoying and disappointing. In summary, the game itself is fun but please focus more on the game than making money, offer an iPad version that works horizontally and upgrade the graphics.

Clue is my favorite board game so I love this!. I love the layout and sound effects of this game. Also glad to have an app version that I can play on my phone. I would love it even more if there was a clue game created with a storyline to go along with each game played. You could put reasons why the murderer killed Mr. Boddy and at what time of day was it done? At dinner time or breakfast, what were the suspects all doing around the time of the murder, etc. I guess it would be more of an adventure game with all the elements of the classic board game.

Points. I’ve accumulated so many points playing this. This is the only game I’ve ever played where you can’t use or get anything in return for your winnings. I’m so confused as to why you all are wanting people to pay for everything, and don’t give the option to win anything?! I’ve been playing for months with basic characters and the one basic map. It’s getting old because it’s the same thing over and over, I cannot bring myself to buy anything extra after already paying for the game itself. This game could be so much better especially having to pay for it. There are free games that have more features than this one which costs. Confusing.

Love this game!. This is the best game I’ve ever played online. The graphics and sounds are fantastic. The upgraded version for more play boards and characters is a bit pricy, but you get lost in them if you can afford to upgrade. The game requires skill and also requires a bit of luck, the perfect combination for a really fun, distracting game. The only problem is it keeps locking up for extended periods of time, and sometimes never seems to unfreeze, which is so annoying after one has worked to build the clue card and is close to winning! I hope this can be fixed!!

Brain tickling, but is it worth it?. I’d probably have given it a 5 Star if the price were $1. But for $4, I expected a much better user interface and graphics. The game delivers a great content in terms of gameplay and story. However, the graphics aren’t very sharp on an iPad Pro 10.5. You can still see some blurring as the animation plays. The main menu is very vague and lacks options. The worst part is you can’t play the game on landscape mode... It took me 3 days to decide wether I should buy the game or not, as I am a fan of CLUE, but was hesitant due to the $4 price tag. I ended up buying it. It was entertaining, but I regret paying $4 for it. Note: the online multiplayer works great tho, but there isn’t chat, or any socializing options at all.

Too many unresponsive players. When playing online, it’s rare to find players that play when it’s their turn. There should just be a timer at all parts, even if taking notes. If they take too long, skip them! Keep having to quit games due to this. Also, when I join a game online 80% of the time the lobby doesn’t show my name, but shows multiple open slots “waiting for player” but never letting me choose a person or ready up. I have to close the app and reopen. I also wish that you would add stats/achievements. Currently we can only see how many games we’ve played. I’d love to see how many I’ve won, the average number of turns to get to the answer etc.

Great game but so over priced. I love this game so much, it is so addicting. My biggest issue with this game is it is so over priced. Not only do you have do pay money to download the game, you have to pay more money to get more characters and settings that but it’s self really annoys me. Also I don’t like how you can either play vs. 3 or 6 people when you play online that really annoyed me. Also I had the worst time trying to download the game after I downloaded it. I feel like if these basic problems could be fixed this game would reach its greatest potential. But don’t get me wrong this is a great game.

Solitaire game. I was so excited to get this app thinking i could finally play clue with just 2 people with my husband thinking in error that this would have a pass and play option. The only way to play offline is playing by yourself with AI’s. To play with anyone else you have to have the internet plus your friends or other family members have to buy a version for their device. I wanted to be able to play this with my granddaughter while camping without the internet. Very disappointed there is no pass and play option like in many other game apps. I’d give it 5 stars if they put in a pass and play option for offline.

Very fun but could desperately use some tweaks. I like this app but there are two main issues: 1-This app forces my iphone to stay on - it overrides the auto-lock feature. If I put my phone down in the middle of a game, it never goes to sleep and then drains my battery completely. Please fix. 2-I like to play on the hard mode, but that setting doesn’t save so if I choose nee characters I also have to reset their difficulties. It would be nice to be able to set an overall difficulty and then tweak individual characters from there.

Single Player Clue!. Clue is a fantastic board game but I can only play it every once in a while since I have to have at least two other people to play it. But now, I can play it by myself against the computer, whenever I want! Plus the visual representations of the suggestions are great! If I say Ms. Scarlett, with the lead pipe, in the ballroom, you see a picture of Ms. Scarlett weilding the lead pipe in the ballroom! That's brilliant! There are also multiple versions of each character to choose from, and a completely new character named Dr. Orchid. I highly "suggest" that you buy this game if your a fan of Clue or mystery stories.

Love the game, addictive. This app on iPad works great. Love being able to play against others. However- there are definitely cheaters using codes or something from a different system (RSKnifeco looking at you) who are able to “block” other players. From my understanding & everything I can find online- you are only supposed to be able to cheat when you are playing single player against computer. Please look into this. Or allow for everyone.

Great Game but needs more characters. I love the game! Nothing makes me happier. However, when I play each board, the victim that’s killed looks the same when it shouldn’t. I think that each victim should have a distinct victim catered to the board played. For example the classic board has Mr. Boddy, Sherlock has Dr. Black. I think the following should happen Tudor Mansion-Mr. Tudor Tropical Mystery-Captain Locke Egyptian Adventure-Pharoah Ramases Masquerade-Madame Genevieve Wild West-The Sheriff Murder Express-The Conductor Snowy Peaks-The Cabinkeeper Vampire Castle- The Vampiress Hollywood Studios-The Director Another thing is a backstory. Each game board opens with panoramic view of the rooms but a backstory of what led to the victim being killed should be included with the option of skipping for those that don’t want to see it. One last thing is another board with characters. What about an airplane with the pilot being the victim. That would be SWEEETT!! I paid for the full package and I’d love to see more!

Fun but...umm...get ready to pay $36 more. This game is a blast, but when you purchase a game on the App Store you’re believing that you’re buying the entire game... Unfortunately when you open this game after buying it, you realise that you still have to pay $4 more for each additional mansion “level” and $7 for the additional characters. Buying a game, launching it to play and then finding out you actually didn’t buy the game, you just bought the demo version and now have the option to pay an additional $36 to own the entire game after you thought you bought it already...that’s pretty dumb.

Such a great game!. I am so happy with this game! I loved Clue growing up and this app has brought it back with fantastic gameplay! This app brings the game to life with beautiful renditions of the classic characters in beautiful settings that bring the dark mystery whodunnit to vivid life! The rooms are so well designed and the movement of the game pieces is fun to watch. I love the sliding sound made as the game piece moves! I love the detective notebook to note your clues and the sound of scribbling by the other “players” as I play single player. There are a number of fantastic boards to choose from! I am so happy with this great game app!

Missing Packs. Seems to be a bug with my game. I purchased the Classic Bundle a few days ago and I had so much fun I thought I should expand. Today I purchased the Murder Express Bundle and it wouldn’t allow me to select the board or the characters, telling me to purchase it, but when I was redirected to the store it stated that I had already owned it. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, restored purchases and it caused the Murder Express Bundle to work BUT it removed the Classic Bundle and is now telling me I need to repurchase it! I’m a little disappointed with this because I paid for it and I was enjoying it as well. I’d rather this bug be fixed so I can play with those characters and that map again without having to repurchase it!

Having trouble. I love the game, but recently when I try to play with friends I get a message that says “No wifi or data connections found” It has to be something on the game’s end, because when I first got it, I never got that message. Sometimes it happens on my phone while playing with friends and sometimes it happens on the friend’s phone. Once the message pops up you hit ok and it immediately takes you out of your game and back to the home screen. It happens almost every time lately. I really love playing the game with friends. I hope it gets fixed soon. If this wasn’t happening I’d give this 5 stars.

Favorite Board Game. This is a great version of my all-time favorite board game. Even with the horrible blond Scarlett (wish she were the raven-haired Miss Scarlett). With all the different versions of the other characters you would think at least ONE version of Scarlett wouldn’t be this ugly blond version. But I LOVE that you can choose from all these different characters, especially the old international characters like Brunette and Rose; Gray and Azure look awesome. I hope they add the Master Detective map, poison, Mrs. Meadow-Brook, Rusty and Lady Lavender (though she might be redundant now with Dr. Orchid...). Plays great, great art, multi-player what?! Love this game, especially if they give me an 80’s black-haired Scarlett (with the long cigarette holder.)

Glitches. GLITCHES! GLITCHES! GLITCHES ARE EVERYWHERE! One day it froze ON MY TURN and I was doing amazing and then it froze! I was so disappointed because I was in the accusation process... then... FREEZE! It was frozen for about 5 minutes, so then I tried to re log by just pressing the home button, I had no luck. It just took me out of the game. I WAS ALSO PLAYING THE GAME WITH 5 OF MY FRIENDS!! Btw it freezes all the time. It wasn’t just the 1 time. Also another glitch is that it will freeze for 2 players and the rest of the players are not frozen. And then it unfreezes but the other 4 players freeze 2 minutes later. This has happened to me very frequently and I hate this glitch. I hope you find this helpful! Thank you for looking at this developers. This game would be super good if there were no glitches. (I play the game twice a week) it’s epic! Get rid of the glitches in an update please and then I will write a 5 star review! Ty again!

Our Own Clue Sheet. I absolutely love the game in real life & on mobile. I have all the versions of clue, I love to play on my phone only when I can’t play in real life with the board game when I don’t have who to play with. The only thing I wish would be better & more challenging like the clue game itself would be our own clue sheet. I don’t like that it automatically marks it, it does help but at the same time it’s not supposed to help, I feel like part of the clue game is to make our sheet the way we want it & to be responsible for it. sometimes other players aren’t paying attention, sometimes they don’t get something and that lets one take an advantage with the clue sheet. I feel that it should be all up to the player.

However…. I love this game, however, it consistently gets stuck both at the entrance level waiting in the lobby or during someone’s turn. I am not sure if this a server issue and storage problems with the amount of players they haven’t verses their output or what but it make game play annoying and completely impossible half the time. Would love a refund if this doesn’t get fixed. It would maybe a perk to having an option of getting to choose a new look for a character for getting in the top random number you choose? Also a simple chat function with preset options would be cool. Especially to nudge some players that clearly have forgotten it is their turn or, like me, have their clue sheet open most of the time.

Finally a real Clue game!!!. Finally. Finalllllly! Classic Clue in app form. Very well done overall. Fun to play. Quick AI movements so you're not bored senseless even with full opponents. Very intelligent auto notes. Pretty boards and graphics. Couple suggestions to really make it have replay value. 1. Ability to randomize your player and opponents. 2. Ability to randomize boards. 3. More boards! 4. Stats page - how many times you caught Mr Green. How many times you played as Mrs Peacock. How many times the rope was he murder weapon. Wins vs losses. Etc etc. 5. Trophies!!!! 6. Holiday themed mansions. 7. Custom names on Generic toons. 8. Customize your own player if you want to use a favorite.

Not worth the money. I absolutely love Clue. The movie, the board game, everything! This app is cool. It’s a good way to get my fix, but it has a lot of features you can’t use unless you pay even more. It’s also slow. I don’t have to see the dice roll animations or moving the pieces. The attention to detail is incredible, but let me click past it or have a feature I can turn down the extra animations. I really love how close to the real game it stays. It is fun, but as the first app I have ever paid to play, it is lacking. I play free games that have even more to offer (i.e., Harry Potter or Pokémon). It has everything you need to play a good game of Clue, but I wouldn’t pay $4 for it again even with how much I love the original board game.

don’t purchase, save yourself the pocket change. I love Clue however this game changes the notes you keep when progressing through the game. Either make the notes completely user editable or remove that screen. I’m keeping my own notes separate as this game, with every person’s turn, the game wipes out my edits I have placed. For example; when another person enters a set up / suggestion of their 3 clues and I hold 2 of the clues and another player has provided a clue to that player it is obvious that I know who has that specific card. By simple deduction. This game does not allow for proper tracking and individual intelligence. The notes page removes my mark out on that clue card when another player suggests that clue. Ridiculous. If I could give a negative star rating, I would.
