Disappointed. Way too short! I have all the Christmas games and this one is the shortest of them all. Finished in a few hours. The puzzles were not challenging at all; too easy.

Game reviewer. I really like this game but it has way too many glitches. And the glitches are not in just one game. Had to reload it numerous times just to “luckily” get through all of it.

Not working years later. This game no longer works for me with all the updates on my iPad. Is there anything I can do?

Updated ! - garland isn't a bug. I thought the garland was a defect and got stuck there twice but actually it's just impossible to figure out- you need to use the elf on the garland and then you're good. Once I saw another user provide that tip I was able to proceed and enjoyed the game. Even the bonus was cute ! Great holiday game

Garland problem. I bought this game a year ago and have tried to play probably 20 but always got stuck on the garland. I thought it was a glitch, so I just kept restarting. Finally I went to the strategy guide and saw that once you untangle the garland you have to bring the elf to it. The hint does not help with this which is very frustrating. I hope this helps someone else who has this issue.

Unplayable. They have let maintenance get so far behind that all the clickable areas are in big white frames. Don’t buy till they fix it.

Misleading. You say pay once, play forever. Well…I not only didn’t get to play forever, button approximately $150-$2200 worth of games I didn’t even see get to play once!1. I’d buy a bunch of games while you on sale. Well….I was just not able to play at least 3/4 of my games because of you No longer than supported them. so please stop advertising for that you can play f and. The ppl game’s themselves ha they amazing and graphics and games story more so hard than not. I obviously didn’t enjoy the playing part themm but.

Sweet and Enjoyable. I often play more dark, macabre themed hidden object games so this was a nice change. The story is cute and memorable. I ended up actually caring about the characters. There was an eclectic array of puzzles so it didn't get boring. I wouldn't say the puzzles were very challenging but it didn't really bother me. The map and extra challenges were well done. Overall worth playing.

WARNING!!! This game doesn’t load correctly!. This has been so frustrating. I tried to request a refund from Big Fish. They stated that they do not deal with the actual purchase and to contact Apple Support. Apple Support shows no purchase of the game, even though the cost was taken from my debit card! It may only be a few dollars, but they should stand behind their games!

Eurohistorian. Ok to good game. Pretty graphics, positive theme. Hos good and sometimes pleasantly different. Some of the puzzles are poorly explained & therefore frustrating to do. I skipped them. Map is good, but had to use hints or guide to figure out what to do next too many times. Sometimes figures didn't move right away and then the correct motion seemed wrong. Inventory screen seemed very sensitive and would bob up and down when trying to select an item to use. Ok to good app; not great.😑

Very fun, challenging puzzles. I also enjoyed the use of religious Christmas music in the soundtrack. Only thing I would ask for is more 'hidden object collections. At least one in every scene. Cheers!

Creative!. I've played a lot of Big Fish games, but this rates as one of the best. The graphics are great and the hint button helps you throughout the game. The map works well as a guide. The HOS games are creative and fun. The mini games are fun, and not too hard. I definitely recommend this as a keeper.

Broken game. Just bought this game and it is broken out the gate. Graphics are all messed up making it not only not enjoyable, but unplayable. I might’ve well just tossed the money out the window.

Doesn’t work on newer iPads. It says it works on this iPad but the graphics are messed up making it unplayable. If you have a newer device, do the trial first to make sure it’s compatible before purchasing.

The leash bug wrecks this game. This expensive game has a bug that won't let you advance once you encounter it. You are supposed to put a leash on a guard dog. I thought the update would fix it but it failed. very frustrating given what the game costs. I won't buy from this developer again. I want my money back.

Glitches Ruined It. I was looking forward to playing this game. These games have such great stories and artwork, but this app had countless awful glitches that made the game unplayable from the start. I was disappointed, to be honest.

Another glitchy unplayable game. Lately I’ve been buying the Christmas games that have been “deals”. They are no deals if you can’t play the entire game. Like others here I got stuck on the garland. Please don’t sell us broken games. On another issue, I have been buying games from Big Fish for over four years. I thought if you bought them you could “ play forever”. Well I was checking my game apps and some of my favorites are unable to download. I’m about done with Big Fish. Sad because it used to be fun instead of frustrating.

Can't Unlock Full Version. Whenever I try to unlock this game the "wheel" just spins and I get a prompt that says "please wait". It just spins and spins and never lets me purchase. I can't get past the trial version and I really would like to purchase this game. I have the iPhone 7. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

There’s an outdated issue ….. I believe there’s a problem with this game. I played it before. Many years ago. Might have been in 2014. This game needs an update in order to play right, I think. All of everything that interacts are showing layered boxes everywhere all over the screen of items that change or interact. And when I click on something that requires a puzzle piece, it opens up a blank white screen. I’m not sure if this is bigfishs’ fault or these iPad updates we get from Apple. I have noticed that my own art in my apps that I create don’t support transparency and there is always a white background. So this could be Apples fault. I think Apple is forgetting about graphics that need transparency. P.S. I just discovered the game works on my iPad 2 perfectly!

Picture has pixels can’t play. Don’t waste your money! I purchased full game in 2016. Wanted to play again around Christmas. The picture is so messed up you can’t make anything out. So disappointed if you purchase a game at full price you should be able to play at a later date if it doesn’t have new update. This isn’t the only game A Little Prince is the same way. Great game! *Tip about garland*. For reviewers who had problems with garland/light string, I thought there was a glitch with the garland too, but then I realized the elf helper needs to be dragged over to it so you can use it. Anyway, this is a great game for Christmas!

So glitchy. Have restarted, deleted and reloaded, tried everything. When I press on anything that opens up a new window, the new one is blank. For example, when I open the wreath, I know I’m supposed to see the wreath along with several items, but it’s completely blank. If I randomly press around I can still collect some things, but there are no images.

The elf is stupid. Side kicks of any kind don’t help in these kind of games. It always forces you to guess at puzzle solutions when solutions should be understandable. Twice in just the into you have to use the elf for no other reason then the game creators were to lazy to come up with a viable/sensible alternative. I did pay for the game as the intro was enough to turn me off of it.

Cute. I normally like the graphic macabre games but this one was a nice change, more light hearted and upbeat helping. Inside games were on the easier side but you do have the options to play harder w/o aide. For me personally, I wouldn't want all games like this but a nice change here and there, esp around holidays, I found relaxing and enjoyable.

Merry Christmas. OK, I like Christmas. I look forward to this game every single year. It is easier than most, and is indisputably a bit juvenile but it's darn cute and it puts me in the Christmas spirit. I did find a glitch or two but the patch seems to have fixed it. I finished the entire game and the bonus chapter with no problem. If you're looking for a Christmas distraction, here you go.

Freezes. I’m so disappointed, I was loving this game until I got to the garland towards the beginning of the game. It froze and wouldn’t let me do anything with it. Even after restarting my phone and starting the game over I still had the same problem. I’m super bummed because this looked like a great game otherwise. Just wish I could get my money back.

Glitchy. Twice I have downloaded this game and twice I have hung on the Santa game where you have to line up Santa and his elves in front of the sacks. This definitely needs fixing. Otherwise it is a good game.

Overcharged. I have a snapshot of an offer for all games $3.99 till Jan 4. I was overcharged for 2 games today. That's the second time. The game has locked up on one of the mini games. Iv restarted the game. I don't know if the problem can be avoided using Skip.

Christmas Spirit. Got this on sale. Bonus! Because as with some games after the bonus chapter you can go back and find any collectables etc you may have missed. Still an enjoyable game to get you into the Christmas spirit.

Enjoyable so far but a few glitches. Beautiful graphics and a fun game with beautiful music (I’m still playing). I restarted the game when it crashed at the toy store and I was unravelling the lights that were hanging on the door. However now on restart the puzzle pieces and morphing objects don’t generate so I suspect I may have to uninstall and re-install again to fix this.

Christmas Stories 5. Not as good as the previous four Christmas Stories games....I thought the story was too depressing and the graphics, puzzles and mini games not up to the usual Elephant Games standard. I did like the Bonus game though so that not all was lost!

Graphics are messed up. Won’t be buying this game... the graphics are very messed up to the point where it is almost impossible to play. Usually really like big fish games but this isn’t the first game with messed up graphics... don’t know if the paid version is better but I really don’t want to spend money to find out, and despite having paid for the other messed up games, they remain messed up. Using a new iPad Air 4, iOS 14.3, wondering if this is one of the 32-bit games that is no longer supported by BF... if so, why is it still available???

Nice!. My only complaint of note is that I wish it had been longer. I love these Christmas games so much, though, because they are a very welcome break from all the dark and horror based games that seem to make up the majority of these types of games now.

Fun Game in a Great Series. Love this game, it's fun and colourful, nice to not be after puppets and golems for a change! This series is something I look forward to every Christmas, have played them all and enjoy them all, gets me in the spirit!

Really it’s a 0, Dec 2021. Thought I’d check it out despite the reviews. Sadly they are correct, on my updated iPad Pro there’s something wrong with the graphics that make the game unplayable, psychedelic shapes all over the play area, can’t tell what’s what, had to delete. Clearly the makers/sellers aren’t invested in making it playable. Oh well.

Puts me in the Christmas spirit!. The Christmas Stories series is great, with a wonderful cast of characters, cute games and story lines. HAVING SAID THAT - I am very disappointed I cannot re-download The Tin Soldier or A Christmas Carol games on my new iPad Pro 10.5” though. It says not avail in my country or region (Canada!). I bought both those games on my older iPad so I can’t understand why Elephant Games wouldn’t update the iOS capability.

Gift of the Magi - holiday fun!. Elephant Games did their usual fabulous job on this twist of a Christmas story. Jack Frost is here to help you get your sister back from a wicked spirit who takes naughty kids away. You must do good deeds to earn good will to fight for your sister. Cute helper, morphing objects and puzzle pieces to collect. Varied HO types but lots of mice also. Verdict: buy and enjoy!

Do not buy. This game is unsupported now along with many other games and they refuse to refund any money even though they advertise “play forever”.

Good but short. As always, BF delivered with a quality game with unique and challenging puzzles. I have loved the Christmas Stories games but felt this one was shorter than the others. I did not experience any glitches or hang ups and gameplay was pretty smooth, unlike the experience of a few other players. I would definitely recommend this game to others.

I do enjoy the Christmas Stories series, puzzles were a little more unique, and gameplay was decent length. Minus a star for BF pop-ups begging for ratings several times during the game..should be only once, and at the end. Appreciate those who focus on strictly rating games here. Other venues are better suited for chat, and we all know where to easily find info on upcoming games..many websites dedicated to it.

Glitches galore. I have downloaded this 3 times already. It's either crashed or won't open every time. I get about 20 minutes in, and then it's no good. I'm glad I didn't pay for it. The gameplay is pretty simple. Not very challenging so far.

Game glitch. I was going along fine until a glitch stopped progress. I cannot get the garland to do anything and that is all there is to do. This is not a user error.

Broken. Game stops in chapter 2, the garland will not become usable once it is untangled. Unable to acquire the hot coals that are needed to thaw door in chapter 2. Game needs to be fixed

Another Winner. Once again, Elephant Games has created an enchanting, fun-filled game for the Christmas season! Like the other Christmas Stories, this one continues where the rest left off. The characters are delightful and the music enhances the scenes. The graphics are excellent, which I associate with Elephant Games. AI bought this as soon as I saw it was released and can't stop playing.

Nice Christmas Game. This is a kindhearted game. It's good for helping me to remember the Christmas season is about giving, helping, and enjoying. Anyone looking for a pick-me-up for the season will get up lifted spirit from this game.

Untangle the garland?. Great game. I am really enjoying it. Could you please tell me how to untangle the garland. I started untangling it I get the concept but after a few moves I can not get the garland to move please advise I really want to finish my game😄 thanks for you help and thanks for a great game

Bugs. Didn't even get 10 minutes into the game before I was stopped by glitches. Restart of the game got me past the first glitch (Santa lineup game) when I was stopped by another (unraveling lights). Tried a restart, but game will not move forward. I am glad it had a free preview. I will be deleting.

Full of glitches - Bah humbug!. Game seems to freeze every time I exit and come back later. Tried reinstall which worked until the next time I quit and restarted. Now I can't play unless I delete and reinstall which means starting over AGAIN. Please fix asap. Glitches like that should have been caught and fixed BEFORE release. Whatever happened to quality control?

GIFT OF MAGIC,NEEDS MORE MAGIC!!!!. Would be a okay game if it didn't keep getting stuck and need to be restarted. Don't look for a strategy guide because it's unavailable. At least while I was playing. L/M there are a few mice but they are cute and one helps you for a little while but she wears a dress and is a seamstress. Has a transporting map and tells you if there is anything that needs done. Has good scenery with lots of color I was getting tired of dark and menacing. Cool. This game is so fun!

3.5 stars. The Christmas Stories games are good. This one was fine, but a few things put me off. First, how sad the third part was, it made me cry. I prefer to be uplifted this time of year instead. Second, in the bonus game, the Fairy Godmother cat helper twists left and right every two seconds!! It's very irritating! I had to hold my hand over that part of the screen. The game is not as long as the Scrooge one, which is my favorite of this series, but it was a decent length. The mini-games were interesting, not just the usual. I recommend this game, with the above caveats.

Freezes too much. When it works it is fun! When it freezes, it is not fun because it often requires one completely start over again! I've done this twice!

WAY too short, puzzles too simple. Fun Christmas game but so very short, less than half the usual gameplay time for BF games, and the puzzles much simpler than usual too. Feel ripped off for $5.99 honestly.

Stuck. The game froze at the mini game where you throw colored balls and match the colors.

Sweet game-note about garland/lights "glitch". Finally a lovely game. It's not creepy or weird or dark, although you are fighting some pretty mean baddies (Berta and goblins) in order to rescue your sister and change some lives for the better. Games are fun (albeit skewed to a slightly young audience), and most a pretty simple but there are a couple of challenging ones. The storyline, voice overs, cutscenes and fundamentals are all good. I didn't experience wait time. There were a couple places where I thought I was stalled, but I wasn't...including the lighted garland. You need to try your helper on those areas; place the elf on the garland and he will take it from there. Nice game for the season, and a solid 4 star game. Christmas Stories: Gift of the Magi. Freezes and goes blank. Tried many times to re down load the app. Always freezes in the same place. I lovethe Christmas Stories, I would put a good rating on this one as well, but since it freezes, I give a poor rating.

Christmas stories Gift of the Magi. This is my favorite game of this series, but I can’t play it. GLITCHES! I contacted the developer but was told to report it to BFG. IT WON’T PLAY on my iPad or iPhone! Please fix this game!

Glitches not playable. Bought the premiere version. Unable to play. Full of glitches. Deleted the game hoping reloading it would help. Nope, still glitchy ..... and....... wanted me to pay again.

Christmas story - gift of the magi. I really liked the game. The only difficulty was that it keeps getting stuck at the point where the elf throws the seeds. It did this 3 times and each time I cleared and restarted the game only to have it stick at the same place! I can't get past this point1 it's very frustrating. I also ending up "unlocking" the game to find myself charged another $3.99 for the game!
