Great app!. I’ve been using this app for a few years, but with the latest update, I LOVE it! I love that it gives a ton of options for each day, as well as options for how you want to use the app. (To save money, to wear your favorites, etc.) I haven’t started using the “upload” feature for outfits, but I think I’ll like that option once I start using it!

Love it!. I love this app, its really helped me organize my closet and allow me to see all possibilities of outfits I can create with what I have! It is an investment, I wanted to use all features so I paid for the monthly subscription. It was easy uploading actual photos of all my clothes (rather than relying on stock photos) since you can remove the background, too. However, it doesn’t recognize that a piece of clothing was recently worn - the app tends to suggest clothes that I wore the day(s) before and are now dirty. Would be nice if it suggested something unworn recently.

No outfit inspirations. This is great for someone who owns a ton of clothes they never wear. But for me who hates shopping and doesn’t own many clothes, it’s not very helpful. I have no idea what pieces I should buy to build my wardrobe and there’s no outfit ideas from clothes that I don’t own so I can build a more complete and varied wardrobe. Their app and website are very confusing to use. Also there needs to be an option for accessories like jewelry, scarves, purses and belts. I liked how it encouraged you to take picture of your outfits, took into account the weather, and showed you how many times you wore something and if you got your moneys worth out of it. I just wish it had more style and shopping guidance. Don’t know if this app is useful to me without that. The billing is also confusing. And they force you to have a 12 month contract. My free trial I was supposed to get never wen through.

Love it but could use more…... I love the suggestions but I wish there was a way to add more categories for purses, socks, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and to limit what the suggestions should use like for instance I don’t want my home shorts to be suggested with every outfit when I’m in the middle of winter and to be able to add more then one shirt or jacket in case I want to wear a vest with a jacket overtop. Also to add to the “Pattern” area for the clothing such as “Sparkles” and more colors to choose from such as I have an off white jacket and a rose gold metallic jacket that I have to shove to a different item. Not to mention I need way more color selection for my stuff. I have a lot of different pinks and reds that keep getting placed with each other. Would also love the ability to drag the item pictures together to see them overlapping. Also I’m not sure what the weather suggestion has to do with the suggested items. I wish it was more in tune with hey should wear this and this with the weather. If all of this was added holy cow I would name this the #1 app wardrobe app.

Needs User Friendly Improvements. Been a Cladwell user for many years. I don’t remember having to scroll as much back in the day to find my items. Filtering and sorting within my closet would make the app sooo much easier to use when logging outfits or just plain trying to find an option to wear. The outfit recs seem to repeat a lot and don’t match the weather most of the time. I end up picking my outfits myself which defeats most of the purpose of the app. I still like the Cladwell but I question how much value I’m actually getting out of the subscription. Please please consider adding filtering and sorting across the board! It would make a huge difference!

Great with vast opportunities. Would love to have: Some sort of community/social aspect to it. Have a “profile” overview Have the accessories part of the main outfit layout Ability to edit logged outfits instead of undoing it Ability to add free text notes to logged outfits Locking location for certain dates instead of changing overall location Bugs that I notice: Streak is incorrect, I have logged 10+ days but it shows 0 day streak Some accessory images are distorted when logged Error message when trying to share on Instagram

Would love a widget!. I’ve really been enjoying Cladwell. I’ve used it on-and-off for about eight months, particularly if I know I have a busy week and need to pre-plan my outfits or if I’m traveling and want to make an outfit/packing list. On my busy days, I think about how great it would be if I could just open my phone and see that quick picture reminder of what I’d be wearing today. I know I could just tap into the app but… 🤷🏽‍♀️Food for thought!

Needs a few things. I’m willing to wait on the following, but as it’s a subscription, I want to see these things fixed soon for what I’m paying. 1) Please change it so we can edit the main outfit for each day. Sometimes I plan for something and make a minor tweak. It’s annoying to have to remake it each time. 2) Allow us to change the picture on an item for when we replace it with something similar so we don’t lose all our favorites. 3) You’ve gotta get accessories involved better - I have a ton of silk scarves desperate to be suggested.

Don’t bother. I used to love this app but it’s practically impossible to get any help. I paid $99 for a service they advertise as having access to style help and a course, course materials aren’t complete and I haven't heard back from anyone in over a week. Filled out zendesk form for help and nothing. At this point I’m ready to file a chargeback on my credit card since nobody seems to respond to contact.

Adore 🤩. Absolutely adore this app, cant live without it! Helps you remember what you own, learn what you really wear, and ultimately shop smarter and get the most out of your pieces and understand your own style. Fun especially for clothes lovers! Love.

Why am I unable to change aspects of my clothes?. I’m sure I’m not alone in implementing the search feature to add new items into my closet. I always search for what is the most similar to my item and alter the fit, name, material and pattern later to better fit my actual item. However, I noticed on a LARGE portion of these items I’m unable to change the fabric, cut, neckline etc. Why is this? If my shirt isn’t made of cotton I don’t want it labeled as it is. If you’re not able to change the fabric of items provided by the search features don’t include the fabric at all. Why can’t I change the NECKLINE of my items? That’s the thing that often varies the most item to item. It’s ridiculous. Why provide all of these premade clothing options if we can’t change them to better represent OUR clothes?

Behind. This app is not intuitive. I I have to consult AI help constantly for the most obvious things that they have somehow made more complicated than they need to be. The AI help assures me that is possible to rearrange individual clothing items by pressing on them and dragging them to where I want them, but Dad has never worked for me. Overall the app feels dated. The outfit idea suggestions are completely random and even if I'm manipulate the weather, they still will suggest a pair of shorts with a thick sweater when it's snowing outside or an outfit that is all winter but has a pair of summer sandals. As far as keeping track of your closet items it is useful for that. It needs the ability to make notes under each item. Overall, The entire app is Just not where it needs to be for 2023.

Not as great as original. I originally used the free app years ago and recently returned. There are a few features that really set the app apart that are gone now. The old app suggested wardrobe staple items that were missing from your wardrobe, showed you outfit suggestions with the items, and had links to shop several similar items. What I appreciated most was that if your wardrobe was complete, the app didn’t suggest anything else. Please bring that back!

Great app. This app is perfect if you wanna log and create outfits!!! I know people are complaining about the old version, but for me i was constantly logged out all the time and it would get annoying. So I'm glad they fixed it.

When it works it’s great! But it stopped working. At first it was great!! It stopped working after a few weeks though and customer service hasn’t responded. I can’t upload pictures anymore and half of my closet got deleted when I removed a capsule so I can’t use it. I hope it’s just a bug and will be fixed soon because it was amazing when it was working.

My reviews keep getting deleted.... I’m a longtime Cladwell user (I’ve had my subscription since long before the “free lifetime subscription” debacle went down) and since the big update in May 2021 I’m finally considering discontinuing use when my subscription is up. The developers have traded more functional features for stylish features (not that the previous useful design wasn’t also nice to look at) and since the big update it’s now missing a lot of useful analytics that I really enjoyed having on hand. I’m not keen on the new layout, though I am glad to see that they finally brought back item descriptions and an option for a grid view. I’m also sorry to say that I don’t find the Review Your Outfits feature to be very helpful. A lot of the suggested outfits still don’t make a lot of sense after going through the rating system many times over. A lot of users have been asking for the ability to add accessories to outfits for a long time now, but instead the developers just keep changing that which was already good and fine.

Love!. I really love this app. Since I started using this I feel like I can actually SEE what is in my closet. I found myself wearing the same 10 things all the time and this app really helps me to branch out to wearing different pieces. Also super helpful for packing and it helps me make conscious clothing purchases instead of just buying more of the same thing. Love it so much I purchased the annual subscription.

Nice but could be improved. I love being able to organize my closet but there are a lot of features that could be improved. For example, the weather doesn’t seem to impact outfit recommendations because it will recommend sandals and shorts when it’s 30 degrees outside. And I wish I could assign a category to each outfit like athletic, lounge, or office so that the recommendations didn’t put together my running shoes and little black dress.

Miss some old features. Before the update you could follow other people and see their wardrobes too. This was a neat feature because you could get alot of inspiration that way. They changed this because they didn’t want to be another “social media” app, which I understand but I still enjoyed that feature. I also don’t like the “review your outfits” or it rate your items every day. Maybe an initial review and then seasonal check ins, but it’s currently annoying having it as the first tab everyday.

Not quite as useful after redesign. The redesign of the app certainly makes it look more sleek, but hides the functionality that made the old app so useful. The new app seems geared very heavily towards allowing Cladwell to pick your clothing, which unfortunately includes pairing workout leggings with work blazers and sandals, because my wardrobe spans all levels of formality and function. The analytics is largely useless in this new update. It says how many pieces you haven’t worn recently, but doesn’t highlight WHICH are your most worn or least worn pieces, or give you any way to figure out which pieces you aren’t wearing without opening each individual piece and comparing the “last worn” numbers on each article of clothing. The most recent update did fix the redesign issue of side scrolling only, which made it very hard to find the clothing you want unless you only have 20 articles of clothing. The old way to filter clothing pieces is still missing though. That said, it still does what it is supposed to do - provide an attractive tracking app for clothing and outfit planning. I do love the new “remove background” feature for uploading photos.

Can’t do anything now. The app is buggy - it won’t let you log outfits consistently saying you need to upgrade to a paid membership. My membership expires on January 9th - if it isn’t fixed by then I’m cancelling and coming never looking back. Every time the developers touch the app I swear it gets worse - and this isn’t the first time paid members have erroneously lost major features.

Limited options. I spent a day taking photos of my clothes, removing the backgrounds, and putting them into the app. It helped me see trends in what I own, but the value stopped there. You can upload accessories, but they are not put into outfits. There’s no option to add tights or leggings to go with dresses. As someone who relies a lot on scarves, statement jewelry, and various styles of tights to mix up outfits, it just didn’t work with the items I own. I was left feeling like my closet doesn’t work. If I don’t have shoes added, I get an error message for every item saying “we can’t find any matches, are you sure this is a good fit?”. I don’t wear shoes when working from home and would prefer an option that doesn’t require including shoes into the outfit. Finally, the app has a hard time with layers and recommends wearing long sleeve shirts under closed sweaters. It also gave me random matches like wearing my gym sweatshirt with a chiffon button down. You can only have 4 items/outfit (one of the four has to be shoes). I find in the winter my outfits tend to have 5-6 pieces each.

New Version is Fab. Thanks for the updates. I had gone to another app for a bit but came back to Cladwell and was pleasantly surprised by the changes. I can't wait to see the new features to come. The only negative experience I had was with the billing. I tried to get in on the 2 year special last year but only got credited for 1, but otherwise, the app quality has gotten much better.

Really helps me plan. This app is great. Once you do the initial investment of time to add your entire wardrobe, it saves time with picking clothes and deciding where the gaps in your wardrobe are. I also use it for trip packing, setting up a capsule for the trip and putting outfits together before I ever open a suitcase.

Saves me money. I love this app! Not only does it keep my clothes organized but I can see at my fingertips what it have. I love that it gives me outfit suggestions and that I can “love” an outfit and save for future ideas that I know work! It helps me be creative when my seasonal capsules can get a little boring. Instead of shopping for something new immediately, I try something new with it!

Not Impressed. Somehow this app has become a less helpful than when it was free. The algorithm recommends the same outfits everyday, and the developer just sent an email stating my account is pending deletion, even though I have about 10 months left on my yearly subscription. Will not be paying to renew. There are several other apps that function much better.

Latest update makes it almost unusable. I lovedddd this app until the last update. I had almost a 300 day streak of logging clothes. But not being able to see the names of each item has made logging outfits such a task I don’t even want to use it anymore. I’m so sad because this was my favorite app and had completely changed how I view my clothes and shopping. If you can memorize the pictures to know what pieces are what this could still be helpful.

Love it but could be better. I would like to see easier ways to delete outfits already selected in my history section. And it would be excellent to see more categories such as accessories and outfit idea clippings from other sources. Lastly, and option to connect with a personal stylist on my area. Thanks!

Cladwell IOS update. I’ve written several emails to ask cladwell to address the problem when you share your outfits. In iOS the pictures are elongated. How long until this is fixed?

Loved before updates. I have had this app for a long time I don’t normally pay for apps but I loved this one the outfits it picked out were great however my favorite part was seeing other people’s outfits so I could see them an see if I have a similar outfit I used that the most however now that option is gone so honestly I went from looking on it daily to maybe once a week I’m actually considering canceling cause I’m not even using it anymore I just loved that feature if it still had that feature I would totally give it 5 stars

Saying goodbye with 2021 update. Update May 2021: I am saying goodbye to Cladwell with the latest update. It was one of my most used apps - I had a 200+ day outfit logging streak. But this recent update ruined it for me. The sideways scrolling prevents me from seeing my whole wardrobe at a glance, and the feature that tells how long it’s been since your wore a piece is gone. I used this quarterly to purge unworn items from my closet. I am switching to Stylebook and have been enjoying it so far. Sad to say goodbye. ************ This has become one of my favorite and most-used apps. It helps me make better use of the clothes I have, strategically make new purchases, and avoid impulse buys. It also makes travel packing infinitely easier. A couple suggestions: I’d like the ability to choose a different location to plan outfits with the weather for upcoming trips. More athletic/athleisure clothing choices would be nice. Also, I fear the price is too high for me to recommend it to my friends. I hope it doesn’t cease to exist for lack of users!

No option for feedback so a review it is. Update: back to 4 stars since they fixed both of my concerns. I went searching for a replacement app and there truly is no other that’s has the same algorithm of suggestions as Cladwell does, only build your own looks app. Not 5 stars because it still needs improvements, I get outfit suggestions of open cardigans with no tops, no/little suggestions for yellow clothing items, way too many running shoes + blazer options, among other things. Hope they keep improving! —— I’ve been in this app for THREE years and I absolutely DESPISE the new update. Sure, it looks fancy but it’s not functional. I loved being able to see my entire closet at a glance not this endless scrolling. The best feature was clicking and item and getting suggestions for outfits based on it and now that’s gone too! I really hope they bring those back because now it’s just a hassle to use.

Inspiration & ease!. I’m in the process of building a capsule wardrobe and this app has been so great to use for that. It helps me see what I already have, provides recommendations for outfits within my closet, and gives me daily inspiration. It feels like a Pinterest of my own closet and as someone who is visual, it’s both inspiring, saving me time, and hopefully money!

Consistent and helpful. I have used this app for years and find it consistently helpful. Sometimes it has issues but overall it is great. I have had success with customer support and with updating to new versions. Plus, it does what it says— helps me make decisions about what to wear.

Missing basic features. I’ve used Cladwell for many years, and I’ve stuck with it; however, it can be very frustrating because most basic features are missing. You know there is a problem when you want to see the “shorts” in your closet, but you can’t because it groups shorts with pants, so forget about trying to sort through them. THERE IS NO SEARCH FEATURE The search bar is only if you want to search Cladwell for items, but why can’t I search my own closet? They have a section with stats on what’s in your closet, but it puzzles me that you can’t click on the categories to view the items in that category. The only reason I keep this app is for the random looks it puts together, but I seriously think it might be time to try a new app.

Worth the subscription fee. I shop way less with this app. I have adhd and object permanence is a real issue. But this app helps me remember what o have in my closet so I don’t buy multiples or things that are too similar. It’s really nice to be able to just open my app and see my closet when I’m tempted to impulse purchase. Such a great tool!

A little disappointed. I’ve been using Cladwell a long time. I stopped using the app when they started charging. Recently, I noticed it wasn’t as expensive as it was initially so I became a member. I’m disappointed. While I enjoy the outfits I am recommended, it doesn’t seem like it’s a smart app. I log all of my outfits daily and I still get the same clothes suggested almost every day. Shouldn’t the algorithm be smarter than that? If I just said I wore this sweater today, why are you suggesting it as an outfit for tomorrow? And why suggest that I wear sandals in the winter? I also am disappointed with the filter options; there aren’t enough in my opinion. What am I paying for? It’s no different than it was when it was free. It’s actually less helpful than before. I paid for the year so I’m keeping it. But I expected more.

Suggests the same article of clothing two days in a row. My main problem with the app, and why I didn’t subscribe after the trail, is that it suggests the same article of clothing two days in a row, or only two days later. The other problem is that adding items to the wardrobe is difficult because the filters are very limited (for shirt fabrics, it only has denim, flannel, silk, and lace), so you don’t know many details about an item prior to adding them. I deleted items and started over a few times. On the plus side, it was useful to see outfit suggestions in general (if not for specific days).

Easiest and best closet organizer / stylist. I’ve used this app for almost 2 years every single day. I love the upgrades they performed this year and the features added. I have simplified my wardrobe, honed my personal style and created a sustainable capsule wardrobe. Adding, removing and placing items in storage are all incredibly easy. I use the capsules feature for traveling light (it counts my pieces and I can see outfit combos to ensure carry on only packing plus it has my “list” ready to go when I am). The algorithm is “learning” what outfits I like or don’t which makes getting dressed using the app so easy! The only negative is that I have tailored my closet so well that I often pick an outfit where some of the pieces are in the laundry (not the app’s fault!). There is no comparison on the market that I found (and I tried; subscriptions are not my “thing”). I really found I used the app and enjoy the metrics so I continue my membership with no reservations as I save a ton of money no longer purchasing clothes that are colors or styles that don’t fit within my wardrobe. I love my clothes now thanks to this app!

Interesting but has no team. I downloaded the app 2 weeks ago. I upgraded my account since it has an interesting platform and features. But since then I couldn’t enjoy the upgraded features. I tried to contact customer service twice and no response. I hope they can evolve.

Needs more features to feel more complete. I’ve been using Cladwell for a few days and for the most part, it is what I was hoping for. I will say there’s a few features that would make it feel more user-friendly, as well as more complete. First of all, I love that the app breaks down what you wear based on color, but I think it’s a little silly that the graph is not accurately color coded (i.e. the section denoting red clothes might actually be colored tan on the graph and the section denoting navy clothes might be brown). That just feels like an oversight and makes that section feel incomplete. I’d also love to be able to see a breakdown based on brand as well since that information is captured in each item anyway. I think the feature that would make the biggest impact and improvement would be the ability to search your closet using the information that you enter when adding items. I know that you can sort of search when creating outfits, but you should have full search capabilities from the main closet page. Overall, the app it’s fine and I will keep using it, but I hope to see improvements down the line.

Not happy with the newer version. It used to be easier somehow, to choose an outfit that I liked every morning. Before there were only 3 suggestions and for the most part I really liked one of the three. Now there are 25 options that make it harder to pick. I could stop looking after 3, but you know... options... they don’t simplify decisions. For whatever reason I can’t pick any of the 25 and end up picking my own outfit. I feel like I lost the app that helped me think out of the box and dress better with less, and instead I’m back to picking my blah outfits and not getting as excited about my own clothes. Also, I wish under “Style Analytics” I could click on the “unworn items” button and see what they are. I know I can see how many times I wore an item if I go to the closet and look for a specific item, but it would be nice to find them all in one place. Please bring some of the fun back!!!

Used to be great, now limited and frustrating to use. I used this app religiously back when it was free. There’s still no other app with the same features, so I re-downloaded it to use again. However, there have been major changes and it makes the app less useful and harder to use than the original version I loved. - the new UI is fine. It does look more modern and I like it. - all the extra “rate your clothes” features are useless to me. -there seems to be WAY less clothing options to choose from. I’ll have to manually upload most of my closet - one of the main reasons I loved this app before is that I didn’t have to spend hours taking photos/editing my photos/uploading and tagging my photos. - categories for custom uploads are painfully limited. There’s only 3 “style” options for jeans. Cladwell apparently doesn’t know about mom jeans, despite them being incredibly popular for years. - I can’t rename my own uploaded items. So all my uploads will be named “custom item” I guess? Seems like an incredibly basic feature. - The tool to remove background from uploaded images seems to have an issue. Items are shown off-center after background removal. There’s no way to adjust the crop.

Great idea, but very slow to add custom items. I can add maybe one custom item per time I open the app. If I want to take photos and take away the background of more than one item, the second item almost always stays stuck on attempting to save the image. It just has the icon that it’s processing but never finishes and I don’t have time to wait more than a minute for an item to be able to be added. The purpose of this should be to help save time, reduce waste and maximize one’s closet, but I will not be paying for a subscription once the trial is up if the problem continues. My time is precious and I don’t have patience for constant glitches in something promoted for maximizing efficiency.

Not Worth It. Simple suggestions like seeing names of items have gone unheeded for at least months, so it’s sometimes difficult to know what item the app is suggesting. Also, it’s incredibly buggy all of a sudden. Keeps asking me to upgrade to paid subscription even though I already am a paid subscriber. Customer service is very slow to respond, if they ever do, and the suggestion is always to delete and re-install, which only works for a day. As of today, after a much-needed update, it was working even less until it finallly lost connectivity with servers and shut down. But, hey, at least I get weekly emails from the owner about how awesome her life is 😕. Time to move on.

My favorite app. I love this app. I hardly ever write reviews. I’ve tried all of the closet apps and Cladwell is my favorite. I love being able to see new outfit possibilities and also having the ability to store my seasonal closet items. As a recovering shopaholic it’s really helpful and eye opening for me to see my total closet cost and cost per wear. I never wake up and think “I have nothing to wear” anymore and it keeps me from buying more clothes I just don’t need. I love being able to easily create capsules for certain events, seasons, work, etc. For me this is well worth paying a very small amount monthly. The only thing I wish I could do is add accessories like hats, jewelry, and scarves to get more ideas or a visual on how something might look together with certain accessories but that’s also not necessary. It takes a little time to add all of your closet items but it’s worth the time to set it up right and that’s typical for every closet app. Absolutely the best!

Scam?. I purchased the subscription for one full year. The charge went through my apple account and has charted to my bank. However, the app will not recognize that I have a subscription and is blocking all the features that I have paid for. The concept is outstanding and I was so excited but I am really disappointed now. I can’t even try to repurchase the app since my phone and apple account say it is already active. Subscriber beware I guess….

The latest app update FIXED. Another update has been released that fixed my previous complaint. The app works like a charm and I’m back to 5-star happiness. It took a moment to understand how to select a custom outfit. You remain in the clothing selection screen while changing clothing categories before ‘selecting (or saving) the outfit.’ OLD ISSUE HAS SINCE BEEN RESOLVED:The latest app update is nice to better consider the weather and plan outfit a few days in advance. However, editing or creating a custom outfit is a royal pain. I preferred the function of the old app. I would not renew my subscription to the current version.

Life Changing App…just needs one adjustment. This app is life changing in that I’ll probably rarely have to spend money on clothes again. It’s initially an investment of time to upload your clothing but it will save you time and money in the end. My only issue is that when it gives me my outfit suggestions it doesn’t have the name of the clothing item next to it. When you have multiple pairs of jeans or shirts it’s hard to know which one is suggested (cropped jeans? High rise???, which black pants?). I think this is important so you rotate your clothing and get usage of what you own. Other then that, I love everything about it. I’ve had my teen daughters install this and they are loving it. No more telling me they have nothing to wear!!! I do wish they would add features for clothing such as “sequin” or “gold/silver/metal accents” to shoes and clothing so it doesn’t pair a sequin dress top with something off. Also I agree they should add accessories feature to suggested outfits.

Bad Outfit Matching. So this was a decent app a long time ago as far as outfit matching. However, now it will only ever suggest the same types of outfits and refuses to create outfits with certain things. For example, I have regular jeans and I have jean shorts. It will match with the regular jeans in even the hottest of temperatures but it will never pair with the Jean shorts. When I try to have it create outfit combos with the shorts it will say “Are you sure this is a good match?” When it’s the exact same color and excellent fit as the full jeans. The same also happens with two similar grey shirts. The only difference is that one has black lettering and the other is plain. It absolutely will match nothing to the one with the black letters but it will constantly match to the plain. Even the lengths are the same. Normally I might chalk this one up to just the graphic… but it will also match with my one graphic band tee all the time. It’s very strange. Also it wants to pair everything with a cardigan. 100F weather and nearly every outfit that’s suggested is paired with a cardigan. Other than that it’s a great app! They just really need to tweak their outfit creating algorithm. Right now I’ve switched to using Stylebook until Cladwell fixes this. I’m also a member of Cladwell and I like their website stuff and information, just the app algorithm is atrocious.

So much potential, but not quite there yet. I love the idea of this app, especially the thought of not spending 10 minutes agonizing over what to wear for the day. However, this version of the app is very buggy for me - it continuously suggests outfits using items I don't have in my closet and when I try to remove items from my closet, the app continues to suggest outfits using those items (even after refreshing the outfits of the day). One of the other things I've noticed is that it will often suggest wearing open-toe sandals even when it's cold/cool outside. In terms of additions / improvements, it'd be great if you could manually select the outfit you wore for the day if you decided not to wear a suggested outfit. It'd also be great if you could select wether you want to wear a casual outfit vs. something more formal (than casual) for work. Overall, this is such a great idea, it just needs a little bit more work/feedback before it's nearly perfect.

Love it!. I am loving this app. It has transformed how I view and shop my wardrobe. Helping me to see combinations that are new and interesting is saving me thousands of dollars.

Scam. It’s such an awesome concept!!! But WAY too pricey, it should be a one off fee. Even if the one off was $10 I totally do that but a subscription no thanks. Also I cancelled my subscription thru iTunes settings like it instructs to do so and they still keep charging me and I don’t know how to stop it bc there is no way to cancel subscription through the app

Disappointing Update. I have been using this app for a few months and LOVING IT! However, since the update I’m so unhappy… it was so much better seeing all items at a glance now there is endless scrolling, it’s clunky and harder to put outfits together. I wish I could revert to the previous version.. rethinking my subscription 😢

Brilliant app idea. The new design is really good, easy to use and I love the use of chatGPT. Still the same issue, years in, with recommending sandals in winter. Seriously, my feet will fall off. Isn’t that the whole point of the weather thing? Apart from that, this is still a great app and I love the focus on shopping your own closet and expanding the possibilities of outfits you already own!

Useful but pricey. Find this app useful. I do like getting the clothing recommendations each day Nd it makes me considering outfits I wouldn't have thought of. Love the easy of adding clothes to my wardrobe by selecting from the catalogue - much easier than snapping photos. Only suggestion so far would be to be able to change the date and plan outfits in advance. I like to organise my clothe he night before so I'm ready to go in the morning so the ability to change the date and plan ahead would be really useful for me. Do tend to agree with the earlier reviewer that a subscription for this is over priced.

Amazing. This app is extraordinary. Has helped make sense of my crazy set of clothes which seemed to have nothing in common. Has taken me about a week (of bits and pieces of free time, not the entire week!) to add everything in my closet and figure out how to get the most out of the app’s functionality. I recommend this to everyone who needs a hand figuring out what goes with what out of their wardrobe.

$2.99 Per week! After 3days. I did not want to chance being charged after few day trial due to previous subscriptions difficult to cancel. So my review is average based on not using. Great concept.

Love it. If you envied Cher's wardrobe in Clueless you'll love this app. Makes my mornings so simple now and I'm wearing all of my clothes more, rather than just a few items. Brilliant concept.

A great idea, with room for improvement. I really enjoy the cladwell app, especially with the added function that allows you to import your own photos. A few things I do find strange: - the weather function is a bit hit and miss. Some days I have recommendations which include sweaters and jeans when I’m struggling to stay cool in a sundress. So that’s a weird glitch. If I worked in a climate controlled building maybe this would make sense but I still wouldn’t wear a fair isle sweater in high summer as I would feel silly. - I’d like to be able to nominate which days of the week are work, casual, special event etc. - there are no cropped tops in the app and when you add your own images, the only length options are hip length or longline. Similarly there is no option for elbow length sleeves.

Love it. This is probably one of the better apps of this kind. I use it most days. It has also enabled me to minimise my wardrobe. Consider more if I want to buy clothes to ensure I'm buying clothes that work with my wardrobe. If you want to minimise and capsule wardrobe then this is the app.

Not for use at face value. Has a limited range of clothing. I couldn’t put down things like hiking boots or or certain jackets. Also, despite having a weather meter, the app coordination with the weather is terrible. On a day that it is raining and cold, the options would only include a light t shirt. No option for accessories either.

Now includes accessories!. This has really helped me identify items I no longer use and also create outfits I wouldn’t think of combining. Totally worth it

Shame. Good idea but the app has stopped working since the recent update and no response from the company after sending multiple emails. Bugs aren’t being fixed by the latest version updates either. Really disappointing considering the overpriced annual subscription that I now can’t use or get reimbursed for. Save your money.

Latest update is awful. The newest update just wiped my whole closet, sub wardrobes, all my settings have been reset and my subscription isn't correct on my app. No feedback from Cladwell as to whether this is being resolved Not happy. Don't pay until they do a better update.

New version is excellent. Cladwell has come through a number of iterations since it’s inception but this version really hits the spot. Capsules of wardrobe items are especially useful while travelling with a limited set, and now it mainly operates on what you already have instead of focusing on buying new things.

Terrible app. This app is terrible. I joined in the hope to find an app that I can simply plan my outfits. Instead I walked in to an app that I am being forced to pay because the tech help won’t respond to my emails and their ‘cancel subscription’ directions are WRONG. The app doesn’t tell you that you will even be required to pay unill AFTER you have signed up.

Great but needs a couple of tweeks. Loving this app so far but 1- can’t work out how to say I don’t like an outfit suggestion so it stops suggesting it 2- wish there were more colours to choose from so you could be more specific

Kept getting the same clothes. I’ve wardrobe the size of a bedroom and so getting this app was supposed to help me wear more clothes etc. but it never happened. Even when I created different closets, I kept getting the exact same clothes. I mean seriously, what is it with jeans and t-shirt? That ain’t work attire.....

Unsubscribed from service but still takes money out of my account. You are very sneaky Cladwell... I thought I had cancelled my subscription via my iPhone App settings but still you continue to take $10 out of my account each month. Not happy..

Sort of what I need but now a bit too clunky. Cladwell used to be my most used app on my phone & I would tell everyone about it. Since the recent redesign I’m finding I don’t enjoy using it as much. I’m persisting and seeing how I can make it work but just not sure it’s as slick as it used to be. I find the outfits are harder to edit or swap things out each day, I can’t see my most worn pieces (it just tells me the categories), I feel like I’m scrolling through my entire wardrobe rather than just the capsule I’ve created. Will keep trying with it as I love the concept of a capsule wardrobe app but may reconsider given the cost.

Charged & never used this app. Disappointed with being charged a full year of service after never using the app following my initial download. I obviously wasn’t quick enough to cancel my subscription plan but it’s daylight robbery to automatically charge almost $100 for a service I never used and will never use. Disappointed.

Cherrilyne61. I love this app because, I know exacting what I have in my wardrobe! Nothing can hide

Great Styling app. I’ve been using this app consistently for 6 months now - and I love that I can plan the week ahead and not waste time deciding what to wear each morning. It’s great for planning a capsule wardrobe and I’ve found I’m not spending money unnecessarily on clothes now - I’ll be quite strategic about what I purchase and make sure it fits with my capsule wardrobe. The one thing I wish the app would do is to show a summary of outfits worn/logged on particular days of the week. So I could see outfits I wore every Monday - or every Tuesday etc for the past couple of weeks. And I would like to see how many times I repeat an outfit. Like top 10 repeated outfits - something like that.

Really good. Amazing app, simple to use with a very intuitive and beautiful interface. Needs to allow for family sharing to make it perfect.

It's good, but extremely expensive. I like this app and am finding new combinations in my wardrobe, but I really think it's ridicilously expensive and I'm not really sure why it has a 'subscription' construction. Wouldn't recommend it to my friends - they would laugh at me for paying this much for an app!

Needs some work. Love the redesigned app however when I log an outfit with custom items they don’t show their photos in the outfit just the pants/layers/dresses thumbnail instead. ?

So fed up with the bugs. Wow, I really wasted months of my life with this app. After an iPhone backup and restore, the app reset and I could not get logged back in. The reset password page does not work on iPhone or iMac, does not save password or ask for requirements. I’m over it. So many months wasted logging and adding items to the wardrobe. I put up with everything else, the constant suggestions of jeans and boots on a 29 degree day in Australia that would land you in hospital if you followed that advice, but with this shoddy example of lack of testing the functionality- I’m out.

Update not working. I have updated the app.. but now on opening it won’t restart and says ‘update failed, please restart the app and try again’ ... tried to do this again but received the same error msg

Good - but..... I think it needs more outfit suggestions each day. And to use more of your wardrobe rather than the same pieces every day

Love!. Absolutely LOVING this app so far!! I just wish we could add a bit more detail about the style of clothing! There’s not an option for cropped tops/hoodies/ etc. a search feature when you’re adding from a photo would be amazing also, to link your item to the most relevant one :) Thank you for saving my brain in the morning!

Too many crashes. If I’m paying nearly $100 for an app I would expect to be able to plan my outfits for the week (as is advertised) without it continuously crashing. I can only plan 2 days in advance without the app stopping completely or going back to the first day. It’s incredibly frustrating and not reflective of the price.

Life saver!. I’ve been using this app for over a year now and it’s a life saver! If I’m in a rush and don’t know what to wear, I turn to this app and it has my outfits sorted! I love that it’s helped me wear more of the items in my wardrobe and helped me style the ones I was uncertain about. The only reason I haven’t rated this 5 stars is just the price. As a monthly subscription it can become a bit much, that being said what you get for the price is phenomenal, there are no other apps quite like this one (trust me I’ve searched). I’d love to see accessories and jewellery eventually being included, that would be the cherry on top for this app. Can not recommend this app enough!

Not working & I can’t reach support. Since the update the app has erased my closet & I can’t log in to the support page to log my problems as it doesn’t recognize my login, yet I can log into the app with no problems... I might have to cancel my subscription, nothing for 4 days. Such a shame...

Amazing, but a few things I’d love to see in your app. I love this app, it’s made my life so much easier. Legitimately the only app I have ever bothered to pay for and the only one I’ve ever reviewed. There are, however, a few things I would love to see in this app. They are: - filter wardrobe outfits based on type of item (e.g. pants, skirts, etc) - a “see similar outfits” option, maybe based on items in outfit or the colours? - and less important, but I’d love to be able to add belts and stockings to my outfits. Anyway, just a few things I’d love to see you guys do. Big fan of your work!

Hoping bugs will be ironed out soon. I've tried everything to get this app working, but every time I open it it crashes straightaway. Admittedly, I'm using an iPhone 5, though if older iPhones aren't supported I've paid for an app I can't use. Please support older phones! And if you already are, please fix the bugs. Really keen to subscribe to use this app!

Some suggestions. Edit: June 2023 Recently re-subscribed to give the app another try, and two issues I had previously have still not been addressed: - Tall boots are only matched with pants and not with skirts or dresses. Ankle boots are, so please extend this to tall boots. - Add the day of the week to the date in the closet get dressed section for ease of reference when planning future outfits. Original: Great app, but I have some suggestions: - Smaller closet grid with at least three items across the screen. Two items is still too hard to get an idea of my items and I feel I’m forever scrolling down. - Tall boots are only matched with pants and not with skirts or dresses… - Add the day to the date in the closet section for ease of reference when planning future outfits.

New update is awful. The old version of the app was so much better! It now takes a LOT longer to create your own outfit. Closet doesn’t display item description so if you have similar black tops it’s difficult to see which one you have chosen. Navigation around new update is clunky and slow. Sorry Cladwell but my annual subscription is due next month - Ive cancelled it :(

Won’t renew. I paid for a year of this app as I enjoyed the trial and wanted to see if it was worth the cash for the year. Halfway through the 12 months they did a redesign and changed quite a lot. While I liked some of the features such as the different capsules from the one wardrobe, overall the new redesign over complicated what was a really straight forward and helpful app. Many of the new features didn’t really seem to have a purpose. I’ll be going back to your biggest competitor also charges only a once off fee instead of a yearly subscription. Simples.

Needs to be tweaked.... I love the idea of this app and will seriously want to use it daily, however there are a few things that I feel need to be added in. First is that you should be able to log an outfit that you've chosen for the day so that it can keep a record (and it can know what combinations you like) and also it would be great to be able to choose one central piece that you want to wear and then it creates an outfit around it E.g. I've got 5 bottoms that I'm able to wear to work but the app keeps coming up with denim shorts (my weekend wear) it would be great to choose a work skirt and then it could create an outfit around it.

Loving it but... It’s so good! I think it’s perfect for me and how organised I am! It’s a little bit annoying putting all the items in my wardrobe into my closet, but once I have it would be so good! Also the bit under where it says the date, can you please change the settings so it does celsius?

Great App. Love the time saved in deciding what to wear. Also how to maximise items in your wardrobe. Being in Australia it would be fab if it could take into account the seasons and styles.

The best!!. This app is genius. I’ve always admired the idea of a capsule wardrobe and this is the perfect way to make it a reality. Caldwell also has the best customer service I have experienced in the App Store. Efficient, friendly and always so helpful!

Love it but.... This app would do much easier if you could select multiple items to delete at once. Every time I clear out I end up not using the app because it takes so long to load up each item and delete and confirm.

Love this app but needs more detail. There are so many trends the app doesn’t cater for. The stats you can enter are very limited. For example, it has pre loaded options but then you can’t customise those same stats into another item. Like length, fabric etc. it would be good if every option was available to choose as I rely on this app for all my work outfits during the week to reduce decision making in my life. Absolutely no option to choose cropped length.

Love it. The app is quite good although I’m having a few issues with it. I’ve given it 4/5 stars because I can’t work out why you can’t add photos already on your camera and the take a photo option doesn’t work either. It also recommends a short sleeve T-shirt and sandals in cool weather.

Only download if prepared to pay!. I was starting to enjoy using the app when I received a sudden message “your app has expired” after only a few days. The only way to continue to access any of it is to pay. This is fine however I wish there was a warning beforehand. Disappointed as I had spent much time uploading my clothes.

A wardrobe with a view!. Love this app! I can see all my items at a glance and easily see what I wear most and what pieces need to go. Highly recommend subscribing. I save so much time with wardrobe selection each day. Fabulous!

No Longer Working. The app was great for a couple of weeks, then it stopped letting me look at following day outfits, which sort of defeats the object of the app...becoming very frustrating and if not rectified, will cancel subscription (which is not cheap!)

Loving it!. I’ve been using this app for about three months now, and I am hooked. Despite the glitches that occurred when the app was updated a few weeks back, I have used this app daily. I feel more stylish, get complimented more often, and have lost the desire to buy MORE because I know now that I have enough. When I first started I found gaps. Playing with this app helped me visualise how additions to my wardrobe would look. I bought a few things that expanded my possibilities, but now I have enough till next season. Highly recommend this app. The annual subscription works out to around a dollar a week. Well worth it!

Good app if you invest time. Very useful to organize a large closet and track outfits and pieces owned. You need to invest time to learn and log your closet to get max use. Many small enhancements I would wish for but overall this does the job well compared to options. A little pricy so you need to be committed to get value from this. However does focus your shopping on needs better so money saved elsewhere.

So close to an amazing app. This app is so close to being the best app I have ever used. The concept is exactly what I am looking for, and when it works well, I love it. However the app is super glitchy. I am constantly redownloading and restarting the app because a glitch started happening. I didn’t mind at first cuz it was a free app. Now they are charging but still havent fixed the glitches. It has so much potential!!

New update frustrating. I’ve enjoyed this app for a year now, but the new update makes it very difficult to use. I want to be able to see the names of my clothes (it’s hard to tell the difference from just the picture) Also scrolling horizontally through every single item in that category is time consuming and annoying. Please fix!!

No longer free?. Had free for life but it suddenly logged me out and wants me to pay now. Was only worth it if free. Painful to enter each item, and then very buggy so often doesn’t work and you have to enter items multiple times.

Helps, but. I enjoy using this and it has helped me mix up my closet and capsule. It needs to add accessories!! Hoping to see this in future updates. One more item in the mix would be a huge improvement.

No meaningful app updates in 2 years. You’d expect that paying a monthly membership for an app would mean regular updates and user experience improvements - but not Cladwell. It’s a great concept. I wrote to the CEO who said updates were coming soon so I renewed my subscription. Turns out my subscription fees paid for their brand redesign and online course advertisements - it certainly didn’t pay for any updates to the app. Very disappointed in this company.

Oh no. And I can’t undo the upgrade, can I?. **update: the weather only displays in Fahrenheit; it used to show me in Celsius (I’m in Canada) I’ve been using Cladwell for over a year now and honestly all I wanted was to just open up the functionality so any article of clothing could be a layer regardless of Cladwell’s arbitrary categories—like what’s a sweater vs a jacket. My stuff is split into categories in weird ways that don’t reflect their use. What if I wear two sweaters? What if I wear a crop tank under another shirt? What if I wear a dress over pants? This app doesn’t allow the user control over inputting what they *actually* wore because there are only 4 spots to fill. I would’ve thought the upgrade would be to fix this glaring oversight that makes the app robotic and inflexible. This upgrade forces horizontal scrolling without any visual affordances to let you know that’s what you’re supposed to do. It’s also SUPER ANNOYING because now instead of seeing an entire screen’s worth of closet contents at a time (with labels I created for each item), I’m forced to scroll through a skinny bar with a single row of clothing (with no labels showing, so I can’t tell which jeans are which) with like 2 items on screen at a time (at first I thought this was a bug until I realized I had to scroll) —and if you’re wearing a dress, that means scrolling past all the pants. W.T.F. WHY did they just make the app HARDER to use? I chose my “goal” to be decluttering and my home screen in the app tells me what percentage of my clothing I wear and how many items I don’t (this was harder to find in the old version, so ok), but I can’t click on the “56 items unworn” to see which ones they are! Is this a ploy for me to spend $240 on their capsule wardrobe program?? Bc I’ve already been paying for this app for over a year and I just want to see, at-a-glance, what I don’t wear so I can get rid of it. There’s also no longer a “log again” button for when you wear more than one outfit in a day. This upgrade is mainly visual, not useful. Lipstick on a pig. Why was this so hyped up? Was it even tested with users before launch?

I’ve been using Cladwell for 420 days- here’s how it is going. I use Cladwell to track clothing use, plan outfits, keep track of new combinations that I come up with, and get new ideas. Cladwell has absolutely helped me slow down my clothing purchases and hold on to my clothing longer. I also really enjoy it for planning small capsules, for travel, seasonal use etc. I recommend Cladwell and will continue to subscribe. 🙂

Unable to cancel. I downloaded the app and realized it wasn’t what I wanted but I’m now unable to cancel my subscription. There should be somewhere I can do that.

Wish was monetized differently. I liked the concept of this app and I think it has great potential. However, I wish that instead of a monthly subscription, it would only charge me when I want to add new items to my wardrobe. I don’t really feel like paying every month when I’m not necessarily buying new clothes every month. I had to cancel my subscription as I felt that once I’ve seen most of the combinations I didn’t want to keep paying for the same results.

Poor interface. Frustrating.. The update removed all of the features that were working. The latest patch does nothing to help. There is now a grid view, but only four items are viewable at once. Which.... I mean... how is this helpful? The point of this app to to see what’s in your closet and you can’t do that easily? This app is outrageously expensive for how badly this upgrade has gone. Plus, there is a serious push to spend hundreds of dollars on a course. All the investment and development went into branding I guess? Too bad. The original app was glitchy but useable. Do not spend any money on this app.

Terrible!. I was so excited to instal this app and get loading my pics! Well, I was stopped in my tracks when it took 10 minutes to remove the background of my first pic. Then after that the little circle just spun round and round when it tried to remove another background and I had to shut my phone off to get it to stop! Everything frozen up! This happened several times. I have a one month old iPhone 11 Pro Max so I don’t think it’s my phone. It’s crazy!

Great concept frustrating application. I have to agree with all the reviews. I have been using this app for almost a year now. I really like the concept but the app is not user friendly. Analytics are not useful as it is (I do not see what clothes gets no use... I don’t care about other analytics), no way to record actual outfits because of the four pieces limitation, suggestions what to wear are 99% weird (because the clothing categories are off and descriptions limited). I just lost my “favourite outfits” content this morning where I had saved some cute outfits to choose from in a busy morning... so that helpful function is gone (or I need to build it again from zero). I have spend a lot of time with uploading my pieces into this app and it really doesn’t give me any extra value other than having the pictures of my clothes in an app and I can record some of my outfits (remember four piece limitation). There is no reason for me to continue using this app after my current paid period is over, won’t be waiting for another year for a helpful update.

Found a way to cancel!. They do not make it easy to cancel this free trial before the three days are up. What you have to do is go into your App Store, click on your name with the email option, then subscriptions and the Cladwell subscription will be there with options to cancel. Good luck!

Good app, pricy though. It’s a great app. I tried the 7 day free trial and got a lot of use out of it. Quite pricy though compared to some other outfit apps that are available. One of the things I noticed is that it crashed a lot, especially when trying to upload a photo of my wardrobe. If I was going to pay for an app, I would prefer it not to crash so much.

Mixed Feelings. The concept is great, but the performance and design is poor. When they provided “lifelong free” memberships a few years ago, I accepted the flaws. After they promised an overhaul of the app and explained paid memberships that came with it, I decided to give them a chance. Almost a year later, I’m disappoint that I did. The app is as glitchy as ever, and has no noticeable improvements. I expect more considering the subscription price. I won’t be continuing my subscription once my current year expires.

Great updates. The latest improvements were stellar. I’ve had this app for a year and find it worth the money. Love that I can now log multiple outfits in the same day (work versus casual, etc). Also the ability to add custom photos of my pieces AND remove the background is exactly what I was wanting.

Good, but need upgrades. Hi everyone! I really liked the app. It is not super intuitive - but they do send you an tutorial video there is very helpful. It is easy to add the clothes and make changes. The only issues for me are: There are no accessories part. I want to be able to put belts, earrings and more. Because I do believe those items help a lot to make an outfit more interesting. I think the suggestion could also be upgrades for less obvious ones. Like a “work dress” with sneakers.

So easy to dress. Don’t have to expend any energy on the wardrobe now

Game Changer. I have always wanted to digitize my closet and I did a lot of research before choosing Cladwell and have been so happy with it. I tried 4 apps in total with capsule wardrobes before I committed to Cladwell a year ago and will never look back. Pros - easy to upload items from your camera roll or from their library - can create multiple “capsules” - has the weather in the app - you can build multiple outfits per day - removed the background from images - has ai that learns your style the more you use it - will break down your closet with data like items you wear the most, most worn colour, cost per wear, what’s in your closet, etc - can filter through items when adding to an outfit - cloud based so you can access it on any device Cons - the organization of each category could be better like having the option to filter through items at all times, not just when building an outfit or “capsule” - they have a feature that tracks when you last wore an item and it would be nice to tweak the amount of time this is based on, I live in Canada so being able to adjust this would be nice. - since it is cloud based, you can’t use the app offline which can be annoying sometimes - not free, but for the amount of time it takes to upload your closet, it’s worth it to have that data saved for peace of mind I think the cons are minor improvements that the developer could tweak and I would still recommend the app and will continue to use it.

Love it!!. I hate never knowing what to wear. This helps me so much by giving me options for the day - it’s even based on the weather. I also love that it gets me to use many of my clothes. A couple suggestions, I wish I could find the clothes that I’m trying to add into my closet by typing words instead of only using filters (e.g. typing “white cotton t-shirt” and results would show up). Also, I wish I could customize weekdays as professional or business casual & weekends as casual.

BEWARE.. Got this app and decided to try it out. Had to make an account, as soon as i did ads popped up about a 7 day free trial. I decided to try it as it had “premium” features, used the app and realized it was not worth my time and deleted it. Fast forward a week and I forgot all about the subscription. go onto my iTunes and seen that after the free trial that it automatically (did NOT give me an option to chose) signed me up for a full year subscription . $91 CAD. I am not happy!!! DO NOT USE THIS APP!! Just clean your damn closet and search Pinterest

Celsius temperatures. Should have the ability to switch to metric for users outside the USA. Also should be able to have more layers than just a top and a jacket. Also should be able to add accessories OT have the ap suggest accessories to match the outfit. Like Stylebook

The perfect app. No issues whatsoever! This app does exactly what I want it to do. Worth the $4.99/month

Upgraded Account Still Not Working. I added my entire closet (which took FOREVER because the URL option does not work) and upgraded to a paid account and the stupid app STILL is showing as a free account. I’ve been emailing with Support for weeks and they can’t figure it out. Now they’ve stopped responding. At this point it’s useless and I’ve wasted $5 and hours of my life that I will never get back. Going back to tracking my outfits in a spreadsheet because this is insane.

Better before update. I really liked this app before the recent update. The new way to select custom outfits is time consuming, hurts my eyes, and I really need to be able to see the labels I gave my clothing items. I’m already not using the app as often.

Outfit photos are distorted. When you try & share or the save your outfits they are distorting & of very poor quality. I alerted the company 6 weeks ago & it is still not fixed. I find this very frustrating.

They lock you out!. This app was almost everything I wanted, it was good but not exactly perfect. To top off how confusing it can be, it locks you out of your account until you subscribe for $10CAD a month. For an app that makes you put together your own clothes cuz their suggestions are awful, yeah I’m not paying for that. It was okay while it lasted, but this is just plain rude. To lock you out until you pay when it seemingly won’t give you any extra services, delete!

Extremely helpful. I’ve been using Cladwell for over three years now and it’s helped me keep track of what I ACTUALLY wear, enabling me to shrink my closet and shop more intentionally. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to build a more intentional wardrobe!

Give it a try- you will Love it!. It seemed a little daunting at first to get my clothes entered into the ap to get started but I’m so glad I did! I used to look in my closet and think I had nothing to wear and I thought the secret to fixing that problem was buying more clothes (wrong!) Cladwell makes getting dressed in the mornings easier and gives me ideas for outfits I never would have thought of. I’m buying less and wearing more of what I already own. Recently I was going away for the weekend and wanted to fit everything in my carry on, so I used Cladwell to help me build a capsule wardrobe for my trip. I am not into fashion. I am a busy Mom working full time and fashion doesn’t come easy to me. Cladwell has definitely reduced the stress in my life in this area, and has saved me both time and money. Go ahead and give it a try. Put the effort and time into building your wardrobe in the ap and use it for a few months. You won’t regret it!

Great!. I am terrible at choosing what to wear. And I mean terrible. After this app, life has become much easier! I love the concept of a streaks so you use the app more. I would only change the subscriptions. Maybe make it as per item you add. The only reason I say this is because if I don’t use the app for the month or only use it once a month, I would be wasting my money. Per item is much simpler. I would do 50 cents per item of clothing. Other than that, I love the app so much and I can’t wait to see it expand! Hope you take my idea into consideration!

Scam. Horrible app and they charged me 90$!! For a years service automatically. Thanks Caldwell

Unable to cancel. I signed up for the FREE TRIAL, realized the app wasn’t for me... I’ve tried to delete the app and searched for ways to cancel and I have been unsuccessful. What’s worse... My “profile” doesn’t even list a credit card on file but I was somehow charged more than $50!! I didn’t even select a membership length! I haven’t used this app since the day I downloaded it. You should include an easy, no muss, no fuss button IN APP to discontinue membership! However it is that you have it set up is shady. I’ve tried from my mobile to cancel, tried from my laptop, and also from my desktop computers and have still been unsuccessful!

Keep going. I started using Cladwell way before the pandemic. The app was free then and it was already amazing. Many of my friends started using the app after my raving about it. Stopped using it during the pandemic and am coming back now after 3 years. The app is still great and easy to use. Some suggestions for improvement follows especially now that it’s paid: 1. I’d love for the app to suggest the clothes in a capsule based on the items logged in my closet, as opposed to adding items I dont have. 2. The app could also make items to buy suggestions. This was something you guys had it in the free version of the app and I really loved that. It helped me buy items to complement my wardrobe. 3. More metadata for added clothes would be great too and have it shown as we are adding items to the closet. 4. Have caps lock as the default when adding names to custom items. Thank you for a great app!

Closet game changer. I have never been a fashionista and always got stuck in wearing the same combinations. I downloaded Cladwell and I’ve rediscovered my wardrobe and see new ways to make outfits that o hadn’t considered before! I see where other reviewers are coming from about the pay structure but I don’t mind the annual subscription fee - it keeps me connected to my closet and it’s worth the price of one new item (or less!). Favourite feature is the modules - I’ve used it successfully to plan for trips where all the pieces I bring work together... has really taken the stress out of trip packing! I do wish there was a way to include accessories but this is a great app and it reminds me of clothes I forget about (and prompts me when I haven’t worn something and should consider donating). Thanks, Cladwell!

5 star app, 1 star business model. Downloaded the app, took the time to set it up (a LOT of time), now it has locked me out behind a paywall - the trial period is not clearly communicated. Great app though.

Worst outfit suggestion- Subscription is only for the base platform. I started using Cladwell about 2 years ago, uploaded the whole wardrobe over time. The suggestion/ recommended outfits are horrible!! They do not make sense at all. The app has weather shown on top, but the outfit match does not consider if it hot outside or cold! Even then I was okay with 4.99 a month, I was making my own outfits and would repeat through those… Now about a month ago, price has increased to 7.99 a month with no added features or any services except the base platform where I have to create my own outfits!!!!! What is the increase for ???? I do not want to pay this price when I am doing all work.

Updates are almost always a mess. Every time they update, all the stuff I’ve worked on gets messed up, reorganized, and micromanaged. It seems to be updated for for the purposes of their revenue structure rather than for serving clients who just want to choose and track outfits. The only reason I stick with it is I’ve invested so much time in it already

Would love to use this app. I loved using this app for the free week trial. However, at the end of the trial I decided it was too pricey to buy a yearly subscription. The fact that you have to pay for a subscription doesn’t make sense to me, since I’m not sure the developers do much updating of the app 🤔. I understand how a subscription benefits a company, but I don’t think the price that they’re asking is necessary.

I like it but can’t see my unworn clothes. I love it! Big help in the morning to choose clothes. Downside, with the update we can’t see the clothes that are unworn. It tells me a number but we can’t click on it. The old version showed us the unworn clothes which was the whole point for decluttering my wardrobe. Now I don’t see the point.

Overpriced but only option for men - update issues. I’m enjoying using this app but it is seriously pricey at the 60 dollar subscription fee. I’m not sure what kind of premium benefits “membership” provides as I’ve only received boilerplate reminders to plan my week so far in my inbox. I haven’t tried the personal stylist option so I can’t speak to that. As it’s the only app of it’s type that incorporates men’s clothing (that I can find) it’s been worth the price if only in saving me money on buying new clothes. That’s the best thing about it to be honest. I would give a lower score due to the recent update that completely borked the app on my iPad but I’m relatively confident that this issue will be addressed soon. In short: If you’re a man looking for a good closet organizing app this is a good choice (especially since it’s the only game in town for guys).

Please fix the dark mode version for ios. App definitely needs update because i can't see much for dark mode on ios

Buggy. I love the app and what it does but it’s so buggy! It constantly crashes. For an app with an annual subscription (which ain’t cheap, by the way), you need to fix the bug situation. I want my $90CAD and I wanna keep the subscription.

Good idea but... I signed up for the free trial and was excited to try it out. It’s a great idea and seemed to work well but the price was too steep for me, wish there were options other than yearly. Also annoying that you can’t edit your own custom photos of clothing in the app. There are free apps that allow you do that. And it says on the app page it was $59/year but I was billed $79! Plus it’s really a 6 day trial because if you don’t cancel 24 hours before the 7th day you get billed. Lesson learnt!!

Update still sucks. I haven’t bothered using the app since the “big fancy” May update aka rebrand and making user functions useless. I see they’ve given us back our grid layout but it’s still less at a glance then before the update. 😞and the style analytics are awful, put it back to how it used to be, Cladwell is going to loose a lot of business with this new update. Don’t bother purchasing.

This app has changed my life. I originally purchased this app because the morning anxiety of getting an outfit together was so overwhelming. I had FAR too many pieces that didn’t line up with my (to be discovered) style, nor did they live up the quality I desired. I can proudly boast that I wear almost 100% of my wardrobe through the whole year. When I see that a piece hasn’t been worn, I donate it and get something I actually WANT and NEED! This has saved me money, stress and wardrobe malfunctions. Do I log every day? No. I log my work outfits and I could care less about my streak. Do I love being able to get outfit inspiration from fellow users that have a similar style? YES! It gives me inspiration on how I can wear something I have not wanted to reach for! I LOVE that Cladwell has solved my wardrobe anxiety. It has made me realize what I love to wear, and with that, looks good on me! I am so glad I decided to give it a try. Yes, she’s still got some kinks here and there, but if I can deal with it on a iPhone 6, I’m sure she runs smooth as silk on a newer model. Get this app, you won’t regret it!!!

What happens?. I had a free for life download a couple years back. Today I can’t get into the app. So I delete and re-download (like I’ve had to do a few times in the past). Now, I’m being asked to pay a subscription fee. What gives? Not happy - I put a lot of work into my closet.

Latest update is terrible. Every time I try to add an item to my wear now, it makes me scroll through every item in my entire closet. It should only show items in my current capsule. Please fix this.

Useful and continually improving. I started using this app about 9 months ago to put together outfits after 2 years of not leaving my house much. Since then I’ve used it a lot to make capsule wardrobes for trips and seasons, and it makes packing so much easier. I also like it for keeping track of outfits I like so I can dress quickly in the morning. The algorithm needs more work to make logical outfits and I’d love more searchability and classification options (eg turtleneck, button cardigan, jewellery, outerwear) and more analytics. But they’re on the right track, keep going!

Not free. Using the app is not free, it costs $60 a year to use.

The concept is so great, I'm holding onto hope for improvements!. I have REALLY enjoyed the way my morning routine has been completely simplified. I no longer stand in my closet feeling like I have nothing to wear while simultaneously being overwhelmed by how much I have. I use it every day. Sometimes the suggestions and the weather don't agree at all, but I just reset the daily outfit suggestions. I wish there was a feature for "occasions" or "taking a trip" that would help me figure out what to wear or pack. I'm a stay at home mom, so most days I don't wear my dresses or skirts, but on Sunday we go to church. So being able to select a special occasion would be helpful. Stay true to who you are as a company, the point isn't to accommodate every obscure piece in someone's closet but to encourage people to live more simply. I have already decluttered my closet because stuff I had wasn't in the app. But if people want to keep their stuff that isn't there, you could add the ability to link a picture of their item to a similar one in the database, so they know which one the app is suggesting.

Love this app!. I love using this app, it has been a real time saver! If I could add on thing it would be the option to add accessories to your outfit!

is not free. this app isn’t free

For men 3 stars. The functionality of cataloging your wardrobe and seeing what you wear/how often helps you to get rid of clothes and you can gain ideas based off of your own wardrobe . The only thing that will make this 5 stars is more capsule ideas on a regular basis.

More colors. It’s perfect. We just need more colors or an option to create our own colors and add them to our palate… or both. 💕

Super helpful, still has a couple kinks!. I love this app so much. I've had an account with cladwell for well over a year after I found them on the blog un-fancy and I've loved planning my closet, getting rid of stuff I don't wear and learning to shop more ethically. What they are doing is amazing and this app in an extension of that. But there are still a few things I would love to see! You can't create a custom outfit from scratch and the app doesn't have all options available so it misses the ones I want often. You can now edit outfits but if it's way off there's not much you can do (for example, if a dress isn't in my daily options available for editing you can't substitute pants and a shirt for a dress). They are incredibly responsive to suggestions however and I use this app every single day. Thanks for helping me live more simply and more consciously cladwell! P.s if you haven't visited their website and watches their videos on why they do what they do and their suggestions for ethical shopping highly recommend!

Much better. I increased the rating after recommendations were sent. I think I’m gonna like this app., I just need more information on how yo become more knowledgeable with it.

No way to subscribe via the app store. While it is great to have the option to subscribe directly via the Caldwell website, it is not so great that the option to subscribe via the Apple store is no more. I personally prefer to subscribe that way because then I have all my subscriptions in one place and it's very easy for me to get an overview of them.

$4.99. It doesn’t tell you until AFTER you download that it’s only free for 7 days, then plans with increasing prices.

Utterly Disappointed. This app used to be great ... now it doesn’t even work. Constantly getting “error” codes, which makes the app unusable! I couldn’t be more disappointed. Don’t waste your time or money. Too bad too, it really was helpful when it worked.

Really helpful, sad to leave it behind.. I have been using this app for a long time. I wanted to see how much I really utilized the items I owned. I finally got to 100% of my closet being used- loving EVERYTHING! The app is really basic but doable. If you're considering this app PLEASE read the rest of my review. I love this app but am leaving it behind. I hope this helps. It has tons of updates which only get annoying because the app's performance and appearance barely change. It crashes and gets stuck uploading photos or renaming items etc. I have never know it *not* to do that. Refreshing usually gets stuck, and clicking on a date in the past to add outfits usually jumps to add it to your present day, making you have to click on the past date twice. Basically, it's buggy and basic and I have yet to see any changes to improve the performance if the app. I am mentioning these things because even though I love and use the app everyday, it's not worth what they're going to be asking to pay for the app- $50 a year. I pay $10 a year for VSCO that constantly updates with new features and layouts, works out bugs quickly and has a fantastic but simple interface. Why would I pay 5X as much for an app that can't fix bugs that have existed over a year? I'm disappointed and sad to let this app go, but maybe one day it will be worth investing in.

No basic access. I would pay a small amount ONCE to use basic features of other apps that are free and low cost. Kinda mad it lets you download and advertises as free and then hits you with a 7 day trial and forced login when you open the first time. This should be very visible in the description. Don’t waste your time. $5 per month minimum.

Devs are scammers. My “free for life” account from 3 years ago is suddenly asking me for $5/mo. That’s how you treat your initial word-of-mouth users?

Liked the app, didn’t know there was a sub fee. When I first downloaded the app it was free and it seems easy to use. However, it’s actually a free trial and the subscription in $13 a month. It seems great, but I’ll probably use something free.

Costs money. Doesn’t tell you on the App Store but it’s only free for one week then it’s $8 a month

Not impressed. I tried this app based on Bridget Raes recommendation. Not impressed. The custom item screens did not register changes. My added items were very slow to appear and graying to add names was next to impossible in both iPad and iPhone. The app never registered ant of the typing.

Zero mobility within your closet. You can’t move your clothes around in your closet

Fix ur password system. I couldnt make a password and it fit the requirements, this app is stupid and on top of it u have to pay 👎

Beware. I have been trying to cancel for a year and they keep charging me. I have emailed them and they are unresponsive!

Love the new features!. I’ve been a Cladwell subscriber since the free days, and I had lost touch with it for a little while but the updates (released and pending) have really re-energized my use of the app. I’ve always loved that I can see my entire wardrobe in one place - I am a classic over-buyer of clothes without a big walk-in closet. I also LOVE the app because it allows me to create capsules for trips - I can rework my vacation outfits until I have my packing list perfectly curated. One of the new features that I’m most excited about is the release of the price per wear feature - I truly believe this will help me be a little more realistic about the true cost and curb the spending. It’s become a challenge in my mind to get the cost per wear down on as many things in my closet as possible. I’m probably never going to be a wardrobe minimalist, but as a stats person this is likely to influence my habits more than anything. The upcoming addition of accessories is the other update that I’m very excited about. I hope the way it works will allow me include those types of items in my vacation capsules. Hopefully it will be a place to put outerwear that I don’t want to see as part of my outfits, and I’d like to be able to track bags - and especially apply the price per wear feature to them. Accessories are also easy to forget about - it will be useful to have a tool to remind about that bag or scarf that’s tucked away in the closet. I’d love to see more wardrobe statistics in future releases. Average number of items over time, average cost per wear (maybe by category?) This is my most used subscription app - thank you for making it better!

Background removal. I’m really wanting to get into this app but the background removal is stuck on spin ~~

Bad UX. This app is super glitchy and when I wrote the developers for help they never addressed my concerns. The redesign made it worse. Cladwell has a lot of potential but sadly all of the glitches and lack of functionality make for a terrible UX!

Does What I Need, Needs Improvement. I couldn’t find anywhere to send suggestions, so I’ll leave them here. 1. Outfit combo algorithm. Why am I being offered so many outfits that are cardigans without a shirt? 2. Options when you add an item. Some items have more neckline and length options than others, some you can’t choose the length at all, and right now I’m trying to add a pair of denim shorts but my only options for length are “mini” and “knee” lengths. They’re neither. I’m also being offered waist options that don’t make sense for pants, and that don’t seem to be available for the articles of clothing they would make sense with. Also more fabric options would be nice (particularly linen, which right now can only be categorized as “woven”. And what do I do for tencel materials? It’s not woven, knit, or any of the others.) 3. An option to see how much of each brand makes up my closet. This is helpful for making shopping decisions. 4. More features related to my “style direction”. The outfit suggesting feature doesn’t seem to be based on that at all. Having somewhere to see style tips based on the direction, or somewhere to build or look at a mood board for it, something like that. 5. In the style analytics it would be help to add a graph for type of items worn (separates vs. dresses, specifically). 6. In the closet section, it would be nice to have separate sections for sweaters/knits and jackets, and pants and shorts. I live somewhere with defined seasons and don’t like to count my pants and shorts in the same section, because I can only wear shorts for a small part of the year (and therefore need less of them). 7. A place to note where I wore an outfit, maybe next to the weather note in the log. Overall, this app is alright. Prior to using it, I’ve been keeping my inventory and a list of outfit ideas in my phone notes. I wanted an app so that I could have a visual of these, and access to more data about my wardrobe. This does most of that, but there are still some improvements I would love to see to make my tracking even more clear and accurate!

Stopped working after 2 days of use. The function to upload photos simply stopped working rendering this totally useless for me.

Bugs. I love the idea, but the daily outfit takes sometimes and hour to load or not at all. Seems like the app needs some bugs removed.

Unable to sign up. I can’t get past entering a password without an error message.

Excellent app. Truly a game changer!

Fantastic app, please add a couple more features. This app is fabulous for organizing your closet. If you have truly done the work and planned out an actual wardrobe capsule, this app is a gem suggesting outfits with items that work together. A few suggestions for the developers to consider: Would you please add the calendar feature to see all of our planned and worn outfits from a bird's eye view? I would also like to have the bug fixed where the favorited outfits disappear from my favorites tab (not the history tab) and no longer become my favorites. I have to keep on swiping in my history tab to find that favorite outfit again and heart it over and over to keep it in my favorites tab. Also, sometimes some of the images for the items don't load correctly, and instead, I see a generic clothing icon in the outfit combination under the favorites tab. If I tap on the "edit," all the pictures of my items will load, so I know they're there. My personal wardrobe is not a true capsule, so many of my Cladwell outfits are manually made by me and not by the app, and I don't want to keep losing my favorites because I have to re-create them again in the app. Would you please make the favorites appear in a grid vs. the swipe feature? I would like to see everything all at once and the ability to organize my favorites by capsules and seasons. The reporting function of the app is nice, but the "Top Item Types" don't do anything for me because they are icons and not actual pictures of the items worn most often and least often. I usually ignore the lower half of that screen. From the clothing item screen, where it says on the bottom, "Often Worn With," please add the ability to tap onto the outfit the item is featured in. I would like to have the ability to log that outfit again without having to recreate it. Also, please add accessories, hats, and purses categories. An overall fantastic app. I love the clean design aesthetic, and the Cost Per Wear reporting feature. I haven't seen anything better out there yet. Keep up the excellent work, and please take my feedback under consideration!

Sad to say goodbye to this app. I’ve had this app for two years but I will no longer be using it now it is no longer free. I wish I could continue using it but $50 a year is way too expensive for what it is. I love that this app can track how often you wear your clothes and suggests outfits for you and even options for what is missing from you closet but at the end of the day it’s not a very sophisticated app. It crashes all the time and can be very slow to load. The clothing photos need to be updated to more current trends and the item features like color, length, fabric could be more descriptive when adding custom items. Also, I find it annoying when it starts suggesting clothing pieces I just wore the previous day. I usually end up doing custom outfits everyday because it always suggests the same thing. A 4 piece outfit can also be very limiting. I should be able to layer two shirts (like a tank top under a button down) without issue. For these reason I found it fine to use for free but I would never pay for this app. If they could do a full overhaul and fix some of the major problems I would gladly come back. Overall I love the idea of this app but it just isn’t working

Worth a Try. This app still feels like it's in Beta, even though it's not. I'm hopefully that it'll just get better with time though. You have to pick items they have uploaded that are similar to items in your closet. It could be an issue for those with unique prints in their closet but most of my clothes are one color or floral prints which are in their library. You have to upload a decent number of items to get good recommendations. If you upload three shirts then it's not going to give you a lot. I put my entire closet it in and I love my outfit recommendations in the morning. I have two capsules, one for work and one casual and I get three outfits for each in the morning plus I can refresh ones I don't like. This app isn't going to teach you how to dress or give you a style if you're looking for one. It's not very creative with big risk taking color combinations or things like that. But it has pushed me to wear a variety of my closet instead of sticking with my same favorite pieces and has eliminated some of that what should I wear today? It's more of a starting point than anything else. Definitely pricey at $7.99/month. I paid for the year and at $3.50 a month, it's worth it for me. If I think about not purchasing one item at the mall next time in exchange for actually wearing more of my closet for the entire year ($40/yr) then it's worth it for me. Appropriate expectations and you'll probably be content.

Why No Accessories Section?. I’m enjoying the app, but this is a missed product opportunity for an insanely wide section of domes closet. I hope this comes soon.

Stuck on PW Creation. Can’t seem to get past password creation screen. No matter how long or how many numbers I include, the app responds “Password must be at least 8 characters and contain letters and numbers”. I know how to create a password. There’s enough of everything. The app just won’t work. Shame because I’d heard such good things and was excited to try it out.

Misleading. This app shows outdated suggested outfits, so it’s only good use is for keeping track of what clothes you have. The app lets you log your individual clothing items and track your outfits, however after about a week of using the app everyday, it prompts you with a required membership. Waste of time, don’t recommend.

Where’s the Accessories. I love the app, however I think having a accessories category would be nice. Also the option to edit wardrobe via computer would be nice.

Sad to say goodbye, but not worth paying for.. I’ve used this app on and off for a long time after I saw Signe from Use Less recommend it. I loved it, but it’s very buggy. Installed and reinstalled a number of times. The days would flick around, outfits didn’t always load, and planning an outfit for the next day didn’t always keep. I won’t be paying $10 a month for this when the app updates don’t seem to fix the main issues. Contacted for help awhile ago and while very helpful and nice with the response I got, the reinstallation didn’t work. Hopefully these issues can be ironed out for future users. I spent a lot of time setting up my closet on here and loved how it inspired me to shop my own wardrobe and while it’s understandable that in order to keep the app running a membership is required, I would like to hope that it will improve the bugs that make it a pain to use. I don’t mean to write a terrible review because I love the concept of this app but there are other subscriptions I pay for that fix their bugs and it makes the apps worth it. Hope to be back one day if things change or the cost is reduced!

The potential to be life changing..... Every once in a while an app comes along (like Pinterest) that dramatically improves my quality of life. This one has that potential. For the last three days I have chosen an outfit it suggested, and I have a whole new appreciation for my clothes. Instead of feeling like I need to buy more, this app is helping me realize I can do a whole lot more with less. That being said, it doesn't come without some cons. The app crashes. A lot. Every time I open my closet and choose an item, it will invariably crash and close when I start going through the possibilities. I don't get very far before that happens. I feel like this is a relatively new app, and it's worth it to give it some time to let he developers sort it out. It has an impressively large database and I'm able to find pretty close matches for all of my clothes. As for the price, I chose the year long subscription because it cuts the monthly fee in half. I'm willing to pay $3 something a month, but certainly not $8. Some features I hope to see in the future: planning outfits days in advance, quickly finding outfits for things in my closet that are suitable for the weather (if I don't choose the suggested outfits of the day), and the ability to add accessories. I also hope the crashing stops - this would be a 5 star app once that happens.

Not free. Dont get it unless you plan on paying for it & most of the outfits that that they put together don’t even match …

One accessory. I have loved this app for a long time and for a long while it was the best. But… you can only add one accessory per outfit and that includes purses.

A must have app for me. This app has completely changed the way I get dressed and shop. I have used it everyday for a year and a half and I never have those panic moments in the morning when I’m not sure what to wear. I just find one thing I want to wear and search outfits! It’s so easy. I also avoid having a giant pole of clothes that I tried on and don’t like. Cladwell has helped me to minimize my wardrobe after seeing what I’m not using and am now much more careful when shopping. I keep a shopping list on the app for clothes I know will seamlessly fit into my wardrobe and if I’m tempted by an item I can easily add it to my closet while shopping and see if it actually works with what I already have. Brilliant. I do wish that there was a way to keep track of how much an item cost so you can see cost per wear line some other apps. It would also be nice to have accessories. I appreciate Cladwell daily and especially find it useful when traveling. I was recently away for three weeks and took one carry on bag and never wore the exact outfit twice with 13 items! So incredible to know you have so many options. I’ll keep using this daily and recommend to pretty much everyone!

I think this is the end of the road for me.. So, Cladwell has changed ownership and received a much needed revamp. Problem is, developers seem to have taken away features that made the app enjoyable while not providing changes users have been requesting for years. The community aspect is not at all intuitive or easily accessible now. Rather than being able to see another user’s outfit and closet, it takes 7 clicks and a sign-in to reach the mobile site (it’s no longer an actual app feature) to view what looks like a facebook newsfeed. I can’t compare my closet to someone’s with a similar style and see what they’re putting together with similar pieces. I can just see that someone is really passionate about denim. The app price has fluctuated significantly since I first started using it, from free to single payment, to free, to monthly except existing users got a free for life offer, but then that was revoked and it was by subscription only... I’ve stuck around, and tried to wait until it was finally figured out, because originally, this app had the easiest to use interface out of the many closet organizing apps, but it just keeps getting more complicated and harder to use with random additions like “review your item” “review the outfit” “style quiz” “personal assistant” “suggested buys”. Like, how long have users been asking for the ability to add accessories to outfits? We don’t get that, but we can rate how much we like our pants? When you realize you haven’t worn a pair in 6 months, that’s probably indication enough that they aren’t a favorite, but the useful “least worn” feature seems to have been removed. This app doesn’t need to do everything. it just needs to do a couple things efficiently. The ease of use is what set it apart and made it more successful than similar apps. It’s all getting lost in the sauce now.

More Options!. I’m updating my review because after I posted this I received a very kind developer response informing me that I can add accessories to a completed outfit. While I appreciate this, I want an app that adds those in proactively so that I can see what scarf the app chooses to match the outfit, for example. But I raised my rating from 2 to 4 stars because of the great customer service. :) ******** This app would be infinitely more useful with jewelry and accessory options.

Great so far. I wish this had the option to add purses and/or accessories like scarves. They are so so important to keeping a capsule wardrobe fresh. Feels like a big missed opportunity. Years later and still no accessories. I got a responses from the developer a long time ago saying that it was “on the road map” and I should rejoin…nope. Glad I canceled.

“Free membership for life” = “Free membership until we change our mind”. I signed up for Cladwell during the “free membership for life” promotion, and then used it daily for about a year and a half. I honestly never found the outfit suggestions helpful at all - they seem to just be random assortments of pieces without much consideration of the weather or what actually can layer with what - and I also found it very frustrating and limiting not to be able to add layers. I did however find it helpful to track what I wore every day (via custom outfits) and to make mini capsules for trips, and I hoped that these issues would be corrected eventually, so I spent many hours uploading custom pieces to make my Cladwell closet reflect my real one. And now I find out that all that work will basically be held hostage in a few months, because Cladwell’s new owners have decided to renege on the free membership promise. I certainly understand that times are tough right now, and if that model is not sustainable then by all means do not continue to offer it, but taking back something you already promised to your customers is a bad look. Unfortunately I really can’t justify paying for a service that has never worked as intended for me, especially now with such a bad taste in my mouth.

Cladwell does not do what it says it will. Although there is a link for people to upgrade to the capsule wardrobe program, it will not let active users do this.

SO GOOD!. Love seeing what they’ll come up with each day!

Awful can’t cancel. Have contacted multiple times keep being told to do thru Apple. That doesn’t work. Don’t subscribe or you get caught in months of charges and no response or resolution.

Missing some of good features that the old version had. I had the old version of this app- and I’m finding that I prefer it more than this one. A couple of things that I’m not too happy about 1. No suggested item wear. In the old app, when you created an outfit, it would give you recommended pieces to go with the items you had already picked out. I really liked that feature and I’m disappointed it is not in the new app. 2. You can’t edit items in the shopping section like you can in the closet section. 3. The day count for how many days you have charted your outfit is glitchy. I’ve only actually seen it correct once. 4. I liked the list you had for what we should have in a minimalist wardrobe - it kept me on track and from purchasing unnecessary duplicates of similar items. That list is gone. I also liked the suggestions you had for items to purchase and add to my wardrobe- that’s gone too! 5. While the custom item feature is much improved in this app, and the addition of photo editing tools is appreciated - they still need some fine tuning. I edit the picture a lot in Photos, then when I try to remove background in the app, it doesn’t center the item- it’s always to the side. And it’s “ok” on its ability to remove backgrounds. 6. For some reason the features of shoes aren’t available on custom items. You can’t select type or height of heel. Hoping this feedback will help create a better app for us! It is the best wardrobe organizing app I have used, but I was just disappointed because a new version should be better, and it’s kinda not.

Almost there, just a few nick picks. The app is almost 100% there, only issues I have is some of the combinations are odd. It pairs items that wouldn’t normally go together like a v neck sweater layered over a v neck tee, what’s the point of layering those two? I have a lot of button up shirts to layer under instead, please pick from those, not my tees. Another small detail is I’m starting to get into suit waist coats and incorporate those but idk what I could layer over. The only vest option are the super casual zipper/puffer/camping vest and not any templates for wool 4 or 5 button suit vest. I feel like the “outfit possibilities” are wrong because I used the wrong, and only template available, so it’s pairing my suit vest with tee shirts in winter, and I don’t really think that’s looks good anyway. I think some “style rules” need to be incorporated into the algorithm that matches clothes together, like don’t wear a black belt with brown shoes or don’t layer thicker fabrics under thinner ones (I saw one combination where it wanted me to layer a Henley sweater over a v neck sweater, no, don’t that looks terrible) and also try and match formalities better, like don’t pair my suit vest with jeans and a tee, or my sports coat with blue jeans, only black and dark wash unless it’s paired with tennis shoes and crew neck tee. Formalities are all over the place and some of them look sloppy. One more thing is maybe an extra layer option, sometimes (mainly when it’s very cold) I like to layer a button up shirt, half zip and sports coat or other kind of jacket, but that’s not as big of an issue and the ones above. Thanks for taking the time to read my review and hope the developers take it into consideration, overall a great app Edit: it’s also pairing my boots (chukka and Chelsea) with shorts….. please look into this and adjust it, this shouldn’t even be an option especially if the monthly membership increased Edit 2: Capsules make it much more coherent. I just have to cycle through and “X” anything that doesn’t look good, which luckily isn’t a lot. Stars have been adjusted

Now a put together stay at home mom!. As a stay at home mom with a 7 week old newborn and 2 toddlers, I find myself gravitating towards wearing the same easy comfy pants and T-shirts. Now I feel put together in all the beautiful and stylish clothes I already own without having to put much thought into it, or have to spend time trying things on when a crying baby needs me. When I get out of the shower I pull up the app to see my suggestions on what to wear and go with it or modify it slightly depending on what activity I’m doing with the kids that day. I love that it pulls the weather forecast right into it, so it’s not suggesting springtime clothes if there’s a storm coming through that day. And I’m loving the ‘Explore’ others’ outfits feed! I’ve gotten great inspiration from fellow app users who have similar closet items, and it’s great to see fun styles on all body shapes and sizes instead of the same body shapes on the websites of clothing companies. I also love that I can get suggestions for, and log multiple outfits in the same day... using the same top or bottom and editing the other piece, or sometimes changing completely, since it’s hard to wear just one outfit these days with spit up, blow outs, paint covered kid hands and muddy little feet! Thanks Cladwell for helping me feel like a stylish mama without having to go shopping anywhere!

??? Misleading?. I was told there was a free option now. But that appears to be inaccurate.
