Good but not perfect. I’ll start with the fact that I love this app. It has really helped me better understand my sleep and how it affects my overall health. But this app seems to track every period of low activity as sleep. For a few months I wasn’t using it because I didn’t like wearing my watch at night. When I recently started again I found that it had inputted whole weeks worth of incorrect “sleep” data from when I wore my watch during the day that was either naps, or times when I was reading, watching movies, sitting in a car for long periods of time, or just relaxing in any way. You can’t edit data that’s more than a week old, so I can’t delete these days and all this bad info is factored into my “average” scores. Now I have to check the previous night’s data after every day to make sure it didn’t count some relaxed period as sleep and throw everything off. This app is really good in a lot of ways, but it’s not for passive use.

Data is only as good as its accuracy. I got this app because I wanted to track how well I am sleeping while taking care of a newborn (not well) and while it’s fun to look at all of this app’s data, I’ve noticed inconsistencies in the metrics that make me question the validity of what the app claims to track: 1: In the morning when I verify my sleep times, the app tries to suggest that I slept during times that I clearly did not, and was active, talking, and standing. I can delete these obviously, but it makes me wonder what the app saw during that period to think I was sleeping. 2: The disturbed/light/deep sleep tracker is wrong and doesn’t track when I get out of bed. Last night, I got up to let my dog out twice, and the app only recognized once. If you’re going to offer all of these metrics in your app, people are trusting that they’re accurate, and not just guessing at when you’re asleep, which is what it feels like this app is doing.

Awful! Loss of accuracy in recent versions. Update: I held out hoping the developer would fix the bugs, but the accuracy has gotten even worse. It seems like the focus is on generating ad revenue using the most ridiculous full screen ads for what looks like 90s-era games nobody would waste time with. It doesn’t even make sense to advertise such nonsense, but here they are. They have no basic ad-free price and the app is not worth the annual subscription fee, so I’m joining other long time customers and have deleted the app. What an absurd business model. This app is getting less and less accurate in its tracking and more annoying with the ads onslaught. I have to edit the sleep/wake times every morning, and recently its not tracking sleep correctly at all. This morning it has me down for a 3 hour awake time and 2 hours of sleep. That’s not correct at all. Clearly the focus is on advertisers at the expense of users. Pro tip: add a reasonable one time ad stopper tier, your premium is too expensive for those of us who don’t need those features. Stop being so greedy, your product isn’t that good.

Best sleep app I’ve tried. I’ve probably tested 5 of the top sleep tracking apps available. This is by far my favorite for a few reasons. I find it to be the easiest to use, while also offering the most features. All I need to do is wear my Apple Watch to bed. The app automatically senses when I’m in bed and starts tracking sleep and heart rate. I don’t know how it calculates and figures everything out, but it is always shockingly accurate. Highly recommended free and paid versions. I tried other sleep apps and was unimpressed with the limited, pseudo-sciencey data tracking abilities, such as the app that claims to gauge your sleep quality using only your phone’s internal microphone located 2-3 away on the nightstand. This is silly and obviously inaccurate. This app analyzes data from Apple Watch to record body movement, heart rate, physical movement (ie. walking around vs relaxing in on the couch vs lying in bed) to determine what time the user starts trying to fall asleep, when they lose consciousness, and how deep their sleep is every night. I don’t bother with so-called “smart alarms” that claim to wake you up at the most optimal time within a 30-60 minute time window. I want to sleep as long as possible each morning. There’s no way I’m getting out of bed 40 minutes earlier just because some app *claims* I’ll be at optimal in my routine

Great App but one thing could make it better. I absolutely love this app. It’s very very efficient at what it does. I track my sleep automatically through my apple watch on the free version. This works amazing and I haven’t been disappointed yet. The only thing I wish this app had was the ability to sync with apple health. I also wish it had a smart alarm that could wake you up with a window of time based on how deep of sleep you are in. Other apps have this feature but require you to have your phone listening. This seems inaccurate to me and apple watch data would be the best way to collect this information for accuracy. There aren’t many sleep apps that use the apple watch and this alarm could be a big boost for you. I also wish it showed your REM sleep. I realize it shows your deep sleep but there is a difference between light, deep, and REM. Because REM is what matters most it is the most important thing to know but this app doesn’t show it. Overall I really like the the app but these were just my few suggestions that could make me love it.

Great app. Super useful.. I began using SleepWatch a few years ago, and while wearing my watch to bed is really not my favorite, my ADD brain is helped tremendously the data it collects. The app is intuitive, nice-looking, and easy to use. There has been some inconsistency lately on HR dip % (sometimes it just never shows up?), but everything else has been ROCK solid. The only reason it didn’t get five stars is I really need higher granularity on restedness. The current 3 options (completely rested, somewhat rested, not at all rested) don’t map well onto my actual experience. My answer is always somewhat rested—even though I’m usually mostly rested or mostly not rested. (Due to health issues, I only hit the Holy Grail of completely rested once or twice a year.) And having raised a large family, my mark for not at all rested was set from being up in the night with infants for many years—total exhaustion. So being able to accurately track how I feel in the morning would be highly useful.

Probably the best Sleep logging and reporting app!. I’ve used the app for years, and it has performed as it should (great!) Recently, it stopped correctly logging my sleep, up to 2-3 hours off. In correcting it manually, the app now doesn’t try to go back and see if the logged data makes sense. It just gives you blank bars. I tried the resetting procedure, and it didn’t help at all. Also, the ads have ramped up, and are now full screen, with no way to stop / get rid of them until they are done. These ads have audio, and it’s really an annoyance. Got a few recent updates, and there are the “feature” mentioned above, and more ads. I was seriously considering paying the reduced yearly fee to remove the ads, but the above problems were too much. You folks lost a potential customer. Yup, I hadn’t paid. But I have recommended it to many people. No money from me, no more recommendations.

Not reliable. I am super bummed about my rating and this app. I bought the app after reading the reviews. While I understand that nothing will be full proof and 100% accurate with recording my sleep by just wearing a watch. However, I’d be more accurate knowing my sleep if I just looked at a clock before I went to bed and when I woke up. I could manually calculate my actual sleep. Here is the background. I have a newborn, so I wanted to see how much sleep I was actually getting. Figured the reviews were good enough, the app wasn’t expensive...it is worth a shot. Well, it was recording 7+ hours of sleep a night. Anyone that has ever had a baby knows you don’t get 7 hours of sleep in the first few weeks. So, I realized it was wrong. Twice in the last two weeks I haven’t even worn my watch at night and the next morning it told me I got 7 hours of sleep one night and 3.5 hours another. When I opened the app, it showed time of restful sleeping and not. I am guessing my watching charger got a good nights rest one night and not another. Clearly, the app doesn’t work correctly. Save your money folks.

I’m Impressed. It is rare for me to give a 5 star rating as there is almost always room for improvement. Having said that, I’m so impressed with the accuracy and data this app provides that I also bought an annual membership. I couldn’t care less where/how I rate with other users, but do care that people who have done a good job at something get rewarded. I use this app a bit off script in that I’m not using it to learn how to improve my sleep, but to learn about how my sleep patterns affect my chronic pain. For example, just in the last month I’ve proved a theory that I’m much more rested, awake in less pain, and maintain deep sleep longer when I don’t sleep more than 2-3 hours at a time. When the pain would awaken me I’d stay in bed and try to sleep more. Now I know I’m much better off if I get up for a couple few hours and go back to bed for more deep sleep. Support folk have been very patient with me in my attempts to get the app to work for my abnormal needs (although I think I may have made them a bit defensive) so kudos to them! My fingers are crossed that they may implement an enhancement request I recently made. Regardless, I’ll continue to use this app and tell my friends.

Doubt’s to Believer. At first I was like “this won’t work” but after using it for a few months I found the app very useful as well as helpful. The app will basically gather your sleep information, over time, and set up a plan based on your sleep patterns. I am pleased with how accurate the app is at taking information and setting a plan you can follow to help you improve sleep. An example, for me, is that if I burn 350 active calories a day my heart rate dip is greater. So my daily goal is to reach that 350 mark because it does drop my heart rate. Also, this app continually updates so it just keeps getting better and better! My suggestion is simply to download this app if you want a great study of your individual sleep pattern and want a better nights rest! You will look forward every morning to see how well you slept. You have nothing to lose, the app is free, and a good nights sleep to gain!

LOVE 💕 but one concern. I have been using this app since September 2020. I enjoy checking it and using the tips to help me work on better sleeping habits. I love the fact that on Sunday nights it pops up with a tip to remind me Mondays are my most difficult day. I alway report feeling somewhat fatigue or very fatigue on Mondays. I have two dogs and most nights they wake me up to go outside around 3am. “Sleep disruption.” It tracks that, which is very cool!! Now my concern is, and this has only begun to happen since December, it does not track my sleep correctly. Example; I’ve gone to bed at 8pm, known I’ve fallen asleep within the hour but the tracker does not begin to track my sleep until hours later, like midnight. It’s very frustrating when I look at the tracker in the morning and see its incorrectly tracked my time. I pay monthly which I like because I don’t have a commitment and because of that I have contemplated canceling it which saddens me. Does anyone else experience this same issue.

Great reports. Annoying notifications.. I love using this app to track my sleep. It has given me some very useful insights to help me sleep better. What I don’t love is the notifications it sends me. For example: Every morning when I wake up, I open the app, log how well rested I feel, and then review its metrics for the night (sleeping heart rate dip, etc.). That’s the only interaction with the app I need. But five or ten minutes later, it pings me with my daily sleep report. But I already know what it’s going to say, because I just looked at it! Then there’s the recommendations the app sends me for improving my sleep. They were very useful at first: I sleep better on days when I exercise. I’d feel more rested if I got 8 hours and 15 minutes of sleep every night. Great. But it just keeps giving me those same recommendations over and over again. I don’t need to see them anymore. And then there are the ongoing inquiries as to why I slept particularly well or poorly the night before. My answers are usually always the same: I exercised the day before. Or I didn’t exercise. The app has already identified this connection between sleep and exercise for me. And it reads my workout data, so it knows how much I exercise. So there’s really no need to keep asking! I know. I can turn off notifications. And I probably will. But the app would be much better (IMO) if these issues were addressed.

Naps. I doesn’t keep good records of a nap. After I’m awake for two hours and I take a short nap for 45 minutes. It shows asleep disruption in my sleep pattern which is totally stupid. I will be watching it for the next couple weeks if they don’t fix it I will be switching apps. I used to use Fitbit and it worked fine with naps even after being awake for a half an hour if you lay back down and took a nap it showed a nap not a sleep disruption. You would think with the programmers they would be able to figure this out when writing software but apparently not. Fitbit must be the only one that can figure it out or maybe just this companies too lazy. I just looked and there’s several apps in the App Store that do a better job tracking your naps and your sleep time. For the fee they charge you would think they would care more. The response I got is we will look in to it. Really look into it!! So I will be canceling my subscription for anybody for future reference I would refer you to a different app if you do naps in the middle of the day. This one is worthless!!

Great app!. I love the accuracy of this app. It’s very simple to read all the information that it takes during my sleep. I’m a stay at home mom and I’m always the last one in bed and the first one up. I bought this app because I knew I wasn’t sleeping enough and it was affecting my health. My doctor recommended I track my sleep so I gave this a try. I like that it showed when I went to bed and how much sleep I actually got while in bed. The longer I used the app the more it learned my patterns. I also like that it knows when I’ve had a really bad night of sleep and I receive the questionnaire asking why I did so bad sleeping. For example last week my son was extremely sick running a fever of 103.7 all night so I was up all night checking on him and changing out ice packs to help keep him comfortable until I could get him to the doctor the next morning. My app detected a total of 1 and half hours of sleep. I was able to tell the app I was “disrupted by a sick child”. Thanks for creating this app and continuing to make it that much better! 😊

Best Dad always said “in bed by 9:00 up by 5:30, bath early.” He still lives by it.. I love Sleep Watch because it gives me so much help and insight into tracking various aspects of my sleep. And helps me solve problems with why am I not getting enough sleep. And the snoring app that I can track with this app is good and it even records my talking in my sleep. I am learning by using the tags feature each sleep cycle to pinpoint behaviors that will affect my mental functioning during the day when I’m working. And pinpoint habits that affect a good nights rest and that can affect my brains mindfulness associated with my anxiety and my mood when I’m not feeling well. This app helps me be mindful of what I need to do to be prepared in the evenings leading up to bedtime and how to get to sleep at the same times every night.

Still trying to decide. I talk in my sleep so I wanted to see if it would catch that by wearing my watch to bed and have the recording on my phone at the same time. It has recorded a bird outside of all things, but never of me talking in my sleep. Which I know is loud because my husband tells me. The other day I responded to him for the first time while trying to get “info” on what I’m talking about and it still didn’t pick that up. I do forget to hit the “track” icon at night sometimes depending on how tired I am. I think this app would be great for those that snore, think they may possibly have sleep apnea, breathing issues, heart issues though! Even those that don’t have a newer watch. I can say that once it gets enough data to create a sleep pattern, that’s helpful. It gives you tips on what may help or hurt your sleep, along with other helpful tips. Guess all in all it’s a great app, I just wish it would pick up the sleep talking.

Sleep much improved after 10 months. You never know how useful an app will be until you’ve used it, and I’ve had buyer’s remorse after subscribing to other apps, but not this one. I’ve found it very helpful to have not only the daily sleep report, but also the sleep report that assesses my overall sleep for a longer period of time. This app has helped me change my behavior and improve my sleep rhythm and duration! When I started using the app, I averaged 6h 25m a night of sleep & had an overall sleep score of 285 after 15 days of use. That was in September 2021. My most recent sleep report showed that I’ve averaged over an hour of sleep more each night - 7h 36m & my overall sleep score is 548. I’ve almost doubled my sleep score since subscribing to Sleep Watch. The last thing I do before getting into bed each night is to set my Apple Watch to sleep, and start tracking my sleep and snoring sounds by tapping the track button in Sleep Watch. The combination of this app and my Apple Watch make it easy to harvest the data that’s helping me improve my sleep. I rarely slept 8 hours a night before, but I regularly get 8 hours (or very close to that) of sleep a night. I rarely submit reviews for apps, but wanted to for Sleep Watch. It’s worth the $4.99/month to improve my sleep because sleep is critical to good health. Now, if I could just find an app to motivate me to exercise consistently and improve my resting HeartRate….!

Best Sleep Tracking App I’ve Used. I wouldn’t say I did an exhaustive trial of all the available sleep trackers out there when I decided SleepWatch was for me but I certainly tried a few and none came close to matching the elegant simplicity of the data and insights that this app offers. I don’t feel any need to look for or try any other sleep trackers because SleepWatch does everything I need better than I hoped for. Thanks to the insights SleepWatch has provided about my sleeping habits and how rested I report feeling over time, I am consistently sleeping much better and feeling more rested than ever before. The only problem I have is remembering to take my watch off early enough in the evenings and in the mornings to charge it enough to last me all day and night, but that’s a user/hardware issue, not any fault of SleepWatch. I love this app so much that I tell everyone I know with an Apple Watch to download it and can honestly say most of the people I’ve shown it to have been impressed enough to download and start using it themselves!

Subpar. I’ve been using the paid subscription for almost a year now, and with that said I can thoroughly say that I’m not impressed. When I first downloaded the app, I thought it was really cool so I decided to pay for the subscription for one year, to get the full effect of the app, but after using it for short period of time, I quickly seen the flaws. When you click on your report to listen to what sounds or noises were played throughout the night as you were asleep, by the way to me, which seems to be the most important part of the app, then you will quickly see how bad it is. So if you’re snoring it cuts off within mid snore or if you’re coughing, it will cut off within mid cough and some of the reports are 6 seconds 7 seconds 16 seconds. It is just so random and not accurate at all. It could be a very very important sound that you need to hear and it will just cut off on you. And for that reason, I canceled my subscription!

Ads?. Well…I loved this app until they started adding noisy ads. I chose not to pay because I didn’t want additional features. But if list ads slowing my tracking down is going to be part of the basic I’m probably just going to find a different app. The developer keeps pointing people to their PAID ad free experience…I had a free ad free experience until recently…no thank you! Do better! Let’s respond to the problem that you took away our ad free experience. You want to give us ads for a free membership then I will most likely be saying goodbye. Edit -to your response… You seem to have missed the point that for the almost 2 years I have used your app I have not had ads and certainly not the in close able, unsilenceable full screen ads that we have now. This is a recent annoyance. It has made the app not worth using. EVERY recent review of your app has been negative because of the ads. If that doesn’t move you to make them less intrusive…pictures on the main page are fine…video ads that we can’t exit and can’t silence make the app unusable as the app cannot be opened at work, school, anywhere that the noise would be disruptive. So thank you for almost 2 years of a great experience. Goodbye!

This app has taught me to log sleep. It’s a nice app when the app’s servers are not down. When the servers are down, like today again, it tells you that “you don’t seem to have an internet connection” and you can keep trying for a long time, if you want to waste time doing nothing. But there is a “plan B” backup for when that all too frequently happens: look at the paper notebook you keep by the bed for the purpose of jotting down each time you enter or leave bed during the night and tally up the total times you slept during each time in bed. The app requires you to confirm sleep times each day for the sake of accuracy so I’ve found that such a sleep log notebook is far better than trying to rely on my memory for which times I was actually in bed, sleeping and which times I was sitting in a chair reading, with my Apple Watch wearing left arm motionless for long stretches of time. At first, I rated this app 5 stars. But now, because of its frequent “you don’t seem to have an internet connection” silly statements I’ve reduced it to 3 stars.

Good info but painful experience. So, the developers have finally run me off. This went from a five star app to a one star. They added ads to the app but recently they are full screen video ads for other applications and games. This makes the app unusable without paying. I’ve had this for a few years and have liked but not “needed” the information. It was a great program. I have the “free” version. In the past year the developer has turned the simple experience into a terrible experience. Every time you open the app, a splash page opens to encourage you to upgrade. The interface is now littered with blurred out placeholders for all the options you don’t have. Recently, they added in-app ads. When you try to scroll in the application, it will snap back to the ad to make sure you’re seeing it. Obviously the free plan makes no money and they’d like to make some. I never had a need for the pro features though. I wouldn’t mind paying a small fee for the application with its current features but I’m not going to subscribe for an ongoing payment. The experience has gotten so bad that rather than upgrade, I’d rather look for another app to replace it.

Has gotten worse. When I originally used this app it would work properly between my Apple Watch and iPhone. It would track my sleep accurately when I wore my Apple Watch to sleep, the data would display in my iPhone app. Lately though I have been finding that when I wear my watch to sleep it appears to track my sleep. But when I go to check the data on my iPhone app it is not always displayed. So it has often now said no data tracked. But how when I have been wearing my Apple Watch to sleep daily? I am not impressed and will be looking to use another sleep tracking app. This is disappointing because I have been using thissleep tracking for a while and thought of it to be accurate and reliable. I hope that some attention will be made into making sure the app works properly at transferring data from Apple Watch.

Much better than AutoSleep or Apple’s sleep. AutoSleep was changing my amount slept seemingly randomly and throwing off my average. You couldn’t go back in time and correct. This app seems steady. It sometimes logs resting quietly as sleep, but it’s easy to edit and I can turn down the sensitivity if I’m bothered by it. I like that I can log almost all the things I try to do to improve sleep (though taking a sleep aid like antihistamine is strangely absent). I wish there was a way to get into that data to see trends on what is helping. I assume if a clear trend emerges it will notify me? Tracks your sleeping HRV. I wish it also pulled in my waking HRV and gave me a readiness score like AutoSleep did. It would also be cool if we could tell it when we are trying to go to sleep so we could calculate how long it takes to fall asleep. Overall, my favorite sleep app and I’ll be keeping it. Edit: thank you, the Me tab was exactly what I was looking for!

A great investment. I have had severe obstructive sleep apnea for over 30+ years now and always had to use a machine. It was always very difficult for me because my job required me to travel most of the time. Within the last five years I had some major dental work done including 13 implants. The doctor told me that after the implants settled in I might want to try some mouthpieces. About two years later I figured that I would try them. My Dentist did not make them and I had to be referred out. My only reluctance was to see if they really worked I would have to be referred to a sleep lab. That is when I decided to get this app.. Not only is it easy to read but I am able to get everything the sleep lab would offer in the comfort of my own home. It showed that the mouthpiece was just as effective as the machine. I am now able to measure my sleep every night and walk around with the device I am currently using in my pocket.

Not convinced this is very accurate. I am sure this app works great for people who have normal sleep patterns. It certainly is not accurate when reporting my sleep score. As an example, last nightI was particularly restless. My watch reports at least one minute of standing/walking around at 1 AM, 2 AM, 3 AM. This app reports light sleep during the same period. I have been in contact with support about the problem with the app and all they suggested was changing the sensitivity to high then changing the sensitivity to low when that did not work. Honestly it seems their support is merely there to use automatic replies rather than actually listening to the customer issues. As an update to this review. Heard from support again and honestly they are simply unwilling to listen to their customers. I only wish I had not subscribed for a full year as there is no way to get a refund. I have now deleted this app and downloaded one that costs a fraction of the cost and provides highly reliable data.

Really really bad app!. I don’t usually write reviews but I feel scammed so I want to help others not pay for this app. I use Apple Watch SE 9 along with the iPhone app when going to bed. The data it collects is not accurate more than 80% of the time!! I have to manually adjust or add the sleep times. On the iPhone it stops tracking my sleep for unknown reasons. On the Apple Watch it doesn’t allow me to end sleep if I accidentally press “continue sleeping”; it just continues to count until it thinks I am asleep again and then I can end sleep a few hours later; so the data is all messed up. I am frustrated because I paid good money for this app to do something simple; I let it know when I am going to sleep and when I wake up so all it has to do is calculate the time in between I press 2 buttons but it can’t even do that! I chose this app over other sleep apps because of the amount of reviews but I will not trust that anymore! Sorry Sleep Watch I am beyond annoyed. I would give you -5 stars. This app is supposed to be helpful for my state of mind not make it irritated… bye! I have a few months left of my one year sub but I am not testing this horrible app anymore!

Fine until today. Update: The issue below was one caused by an IOS update and not Sleep Watch. Apple promptly sent an update to fix the issue and has since worked fine again, and I didn’t lose any data. This is a great app and is helpful in tracking sleep and things associated with good sleep. The support folks at Sleep Watch were very helpful by contacting Apple so they could send me a fix. This app was working great since February until this morning when it quit letting me open the app on my iPhone XR. It says the app is no longer being shared with me and I need to download it in the App Store. I went to the App Store and it shows that I have it and that I can open it. When I try to open it, same story. I can see my data on my Apple Watch 5, but can’t open app on phone. Very frustrating. I don’t want to delete the app off my phone and reinstall it as I don’t want to lose the last 4 months of data.

Sleep. This app you have to pay and that’s ok , and you have to wait 7 days to see the results and I don’t get how it can know what’s wrong. I’m 11, I’ve been waking up in the middle of the night no idea why my therapist says she think it’s because of my anxietu it may be that she said but it never started and she said it could mean you have to use the bathroom and I do but I never use to wake up so I’m trying to find why and my mom doesn’t think I can go to a sleep test in person because that’s for adults and not for kids. And with covid it’s probably not open I would have to wear a mask when I sleep. So I don’t know what to do I do take sleep gummies to help me fall asleep but I don’t think that’s the case and it does make me tired becaus sometimes I can’t fall bavk asleep I was up for 3 hours. And I wake up different times it depends. So please help thanks. The app is not really helping me and I know people say it’s good but please give me a overall of This app because I don’t understand it I’m trying to find ways to help me. And it’s very hard during a pandemic but I apprieavge you making this up but I just need a understanding. Thanks

SleepWatch Review. My combination Apple Watch and my SleepWatch application are my favorite health and athletic performance evaluation tools. I have found that a balanced program of biking walking my dog, swimming and biking maximize my nightly SleepWatch score. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea almost a year ago and my Sleep Doctor prescribed nightly use of a CPAP machine. My first reaction was that the CPAP machine was a giant pain in the neck. I got great SleepWatch scores without the CPAP machine. After a few weeks without using the CPAP I reasoned that if I continued my athletic program in combination with nightly use of my CPAP machine my Sleepwatch score should be even higher. I was delighted to find out that my highest Sleepwatch scores were obtained when I continued my daily workouts in combination with nightly use of my CPAP machine. The net benefit was that I now had a method of monitoring my sleep quality combined with monitoring my athletic performance in combination with the performance of my CPAP machine. I was so excited with this discovery that I made an appointment with my Sleep Apnea Doctor to share my SleepWatch Data. MY DOCTOR WAS IMPRESSED AND AGREED WITH MY ANALYSIS. Bottom line - I am “HAPPY AS A CLAM” and my cardio vascular health health as measured by my “doctors” is outstanding.

One of the best apps. I hope the new update problems can be fixed.. I’ve loyally used this app for several years now and these guys are awesome. I know what developers have to deal with when Apple updates things and I am certain that the recent bugs from Apple’s update are a real challenge to circumvent. I might need to temporarily delete the app and check back later, but this does not warrant a “one star” review — these guys have been consistently too good for that. I guess I’ll check back later, you don’t have to give them low ratings to hold them accountable. Trust me, they’ll get it fixed, and it’s not their fault — Apple tends to really throw developers under the bus when they redesign iOS and also want to push their own app of the same function. Their stats are way better and far more thorough than the sleep app Apple just introduced, and Apple doesn’t allow you to compare your stats to other users. This app is just too good to fail. I wish the developers great luck with overcoming this problem, and I’ll definitely check in later.

Like it but need to fix issue... Update: After trying so many time to get the app to show the reports on my watch it finally worked. I had to make sure I download the UPDATED version and that it’s the one for the watch NOT the phone. (When you search in the Apple store for the app, next to it should say Apple Watch) So I reinstalled it again, it started working. Still keeping at 3 stars due to me being patient enough to keep trying to get it to work on my own. I like this app it. I have tried a few and this seems to be the most accurate one that tracks my sleep with me wearing my watch to bed. My only issues with the app this is that I can’t see my reports on my Apple Watch (series 5), hence the only 3 stars. It still say “Setup Required. Complete setup on iPhone to continue.” I even uninstalled and reinstalled every way possible and restart my phone and watch still nothing. I even gave it two days before writing this review just so it can show up on my watch. I have tried everything that they recommended on the website for it to work but nothing. I even try clicking on the “feedback and support” in setting and it said that I don’t have an account, which is weird because I do and I’m logged into it. So I’m out of options. Please, please fix issues so I can fully get the best experience and report with this app. Thank you.

Confusing and inconsistent reports. I’ve been using this app for close to a year, I like that it tracked my oxygen levels and my pre-bedtime behaviors. I think it identified clearly that I sleep better after I’ve had physically active days. Other behaviors seem less important after tracking. But I’m confused with the number scoring system. I can have a similar number of hours of sleep, both restless and restful, with a similar change in heart rate and interruptions, and my score will vary between 200 and 500. I don’t understand the wild swings in the score after similar data in the various categories. It is frustrating when I wake after 8 hours, feeling rested and ready to tackle the day and then see my sleep score was “poor”. I am discontinuing my subscription, because, while I did learn that physical activity makes me sleep better, no surprise there, I don’t like the negative feedback even when I “feel” like I got a good night sleep. I have gotten some of my best scores when I neglected to wear my watch to bed. Or when the battery died partway through the night and it recorded only three hours of sleep for which I got a 600 score rather than seven hours sleep, and a 300. I am going to work on consistently increasing my daily physical activity and quit tracking my sleep. I did try it briefly for the snoring function, but it picked up our dog’s snoring, so not effective for us.

Avoid this app. It is okay - I was premium subscriber for 3 years but no more! There are similar competitors out there and I’ve had a terrible experience with their customer service department. For some inexplainable reason the app requires an internet connection to tell you how your sleep was. No one can answer why but when I really need to calculate my sleep and vitals accurate while climbing a mountain internationally, I didn’t have signal to connect to the internet. Their customer service couldn’t answer why - I can only assume because they are selling the data. If my phone and watch are connected by Bluetooth why do I need to connect to their servers to register my sleep? Plus I find it is a battery hog and I would look at the competitors first! Update: they say their customer service team responds “swiftly” - 1-2 days between messages is not swiftly. And the response attempts to misdirect. None of the reasons listed here are justification to require internet connection as a mandatory requirement to confirm sleep. They don’t even explain why it is required. And I don’t wish to do without connectivity as a rule just in the rare times I don’t have internet, which I explained but they don’t listen to.

Proprietary calculations…. I use a couple of other sleep trackers, and this is the most frustrating. It seems to heavily weight your “sleep score” based on interruptions. I had a particular score after 5 hours of sleep, which seemed appropriately low, but even when I went back to bed an hour later for another two hours, the app LOWERED my score, despite me feeling more rested and energetic. When I contacted support to ask why that would be, the answer was “we use a propriety calculation I can’t share with you.” Seriously? Just give me general idea of the logic here. Some of us can’t always get our full night sleep in a single straight shot. Telling me a nap to make up for it actually made my sleep worse makes no sense. Sorry that I fell for the annual subscription…definitely won’t be renewing. I’m not trying to abscond with your formula, I just want to know the logic here.

It’s good. I tried it last night for the first time. Make sure you give it full permission to access your health setting for it to work with your watch. I couldn’t figure out this morning why it didn’t work but then I realized I hadn’t done that. It seemed to work okay. I woke up when my husband went to work though and it didn’t register that at all so it makes me wonder how well it is calculating. I woke up and spoke with him and the app said I was in restful sleep at the time. That’s a bit odd. But overall it does work well. I was disappointed Apple watches didn’t track sleep like my old Fitbit for this app is good for those who had that same issue and want a sleep tracking app. Reason for four stars is what an outrageous price for premium! Just make it a one time paid purchase but 30+ dollars a year. Mine currently says it costs 30 but says that’s a limited time year. All for a couple extra features like your watch waking you up when you’re not in a restful sleep. Waste of money, it for sure shouldn’t be subscription based. Just charge like 10 bucks once and more people would probably do it. Overall it’s good though, going to keep trying it out. Maybe it will become more accurate with additional data.

Thank God— Apple, please adopt. I am so relieved this app exists. Apple’s idiotic sleep mode is exactly the kind of complication that prevents me from tracking my sleep consistently. This app is so perfect I’m mostly using this review to complain about how stupid Apple’s sleep solutions are. I’ve even complained that I just need the Apple Watch to function like my 2010 FitBit did, lol. This app is everything I hoped to have and even expected from paying for an Apple Watch to track my sleep. I don’t have to think twice about it or worry about it interfering with my alarms/notifications. It’s just there and does it’s job. I wish Apple could just integrate this app into its features as a toggle “Use SleepWatch” then we could get over this Sleep Focus nonsense. Turning my phone off and tracking my sleep with pen and paper is more consistent than the convoluted settings and constraints for Sleep Focus. Anyway, thankful that SleepWatch is a solution!

Consistent, accurate and dependable. This app works well, never fails, never crashes. It asks follow up questions in a non-obtrusive way if there are extremes in sleep (poor sleep quality, broken nights of sleep, etc). It is accurate in detecting when I go to sleep and wake up. I believe the stats are spot on - for example if I have a couple of glasses of wine before bed, it accurately captures this in my average sleeping bpm - which, if you don’t know, is always lower (and healthier) if you don’t drink right before bed. It categories sleeping bpm into ranges based on the dip - not ideal, normal, ideal. Sleeping rate bpm is correlated to cardiovascular health. I had a cardiac ablation last year from tachycardia so I carefully monitor my bpm both awake and sleeping. This is one of the single most useful apps I have installed in my phone and watch - and I have a LOT of apps!

What’s in it for me?. Like so many businesses / products / services today, we are often asked for our feedback. Human nature is to be helpful; we obligingly fill out surveys or answer a few brief questions. To what end? I’m giving my time and opinion for their benefit. I don’t mind doing this occasionally — on my terms. DAILY alerts to “tell us more about yourself” besides the “how rested do you feel today?” All while, I do not see a reward of my participation in these queries for the data crunchers and bean counters. Of course (I assume), if I pay for the extra features, I might gain some insight from my routine do-gooder helpful and honest responses. Please add a setting / option to opt out of the survey pool. On to a fresh complaint: the sleep detection is losing accuracy, reporting far less sleep than I actually get. Nearly every day for this week, I’ve needed to manually set my sleep times. What gives? One more thing, if I fail to charge my watch or just plain forget to wear it for one night, then comparison data returns “ not enough info, please wear your watch at night” when there is clearly 783+ days of info on me with only random single night gaps” surely a trend greater than 3 days would yield a far more accurate picture off sleep health. Can you compensate for the occasional fall from grace wherein the user bares all (wrists) in the boudoir?

Privacy concerns; not recommended for trans people. Claims to "value your privacy" and then buried about ten pages into the privacy policy, reveals "Cookies and similar technologies help us to recall things about you [...] to enable our partners to serve ads for products and services". The attempt to hide this by burying it pages and pages down did not impress me. Granted, this portion is for the website and may only be referring to using Google Analytics, but if they are so committed to privacy they should find another analytics solution that doesn't potentially give users' private medical information to Google. The app itself also says it "may" use IP address as a proxy for location even if you deny the app access to your location data, which is not something a company truly committed to privacy should be doing, ever. And an unrelated issue for trans people, the app requires you to input your biological sex (fine in itself, it's potentially medically relevant) but then gives no option for people on HRT to indicate so despite testosterone level being more important than birth sex for heart measurements, and then continues to list the user as their biological sex on their profile. The word choice of "biological sex" on the signup screen also seems to imply the devs are fully aware transgender people exist but feel they should be referred to and medically treated as their birth sex.

Great app but suggesting a add on. Hello I give the app 4/5 it is very easy to use and does exactly what it says, great for tracking routines and figuring out what works best for your body. I hope the Devs see this in the section where you can put tags for why you had good or bad sleep it is lacking any medical reasons for you to wake up. For example half the time I wake up is diabetes related from low blood sugar to high blood sugar with multiple bladder movements. At the bear minimum have medical issue. Considering the chronic health issues a large part of the world deals with limiting it to only a few such as osa, Covid, pain is really limiting the episode. If you keep have medical issues in the middle of the night this could be a good way to document them to understand trends which could help with preventative medicine and improving sleep

Problems with Apple Watch series 7. A week ago I would have given this app a 5 star rating. It’s the best sleep tracker I’ve found and the information and tips have actually helped me improve my sleep habits, especially when I use the premium features…and here lies the problem. I upgraded from the series 4 to the series 7 last week and now there is no way to use the advanced sleep tracking without it COMPLETELY draining the battery. I tested it by charging my watch to 100% immediately before going to bed, it was still dead before my alarm could go off. I think it probably has to do with how it works with the 7’s new “always on” watch face. This is still a pretty great sleep tracking app even without the advanced sleep tracking but it’s a bummer to have paid for premium features I really can’t use anymore. Hopefully they can figure out a way to fix the issue.

Old Reliable!. I've had this app for years. Before sleep tracking was even a built in feature of Apple Watches. It's a good app and I use it everyday. What keeps me coming back are the 30 day trends and comparison to users like me. The raw data is available in every other app nowadays but the trends are not. App devs you should emphasize this as it's a pretty unique feature. One suggestion, sleeping heart rate dip calculations look like they could be optimized. I already have a very low RHR so there is sometimes not a lot of 'dip' to record. Also the dip calculation needs to look at overall trend. I just got a 2% dip calculation but looking at the graph I can clearly see a dip trend line except for some 'noise' at the beginning and end of the sleep zones. Probably need to look at enhancing the algorithm for that and removing outliers in hr timings in the very beginning and end stages of sleep.

Informative and great at data collection. I’ve been using the app for years. I like to occasionally look at my tearfulness patterns and HR drip patterns. Most of all, I like how it works to get the information it needs without you haven’t to remember to do anything. Auto start/stop sleep cycles (with easy corrections if you were crazy in the middle of the night), a couple prompts during the day to see if you are STILL feeling rested. They will even ask questions (multiple choice) as to why one day might have been bad and give you reminders to not do something. But garbage in/garbage out as with anything. Watch app is super easy to use and quickly start a sleep cycle (if you want to get a more accurate time of how quickly you fall asleep) and the “wake me up in this range of time” is nice because I guess I’m woken when I’m at my stirring point and not after I’ve mentally committed to being a SLOTH ;) Enjoy!

Tried 4 apps, This is the best one. I’ve had sleep challenges for awhile at my age and have experimented with several apps and devices to try to figure out to maximize the sleep my body will allow. I am really thankful for this app. The subscription is not cheap, but I think it is worth it. Between the apps I’ve tried, this is by far the best one, easiest to use, and the metrics it gives has really helped me learn things and prove the things that help me sleep better. Things like: how to tweak my exercise cycle (morning HIIT every 2-3 days + walking in the evenings) and eating (Intermittent Fasting 2x/week) and (Few carbs early in the day, but more carbs at dinner). Etc. The results are all numerical and I see them when I check the app each morning. You might be different for what you need to do for your season in life and for your body, but I think everybody will feel tremendously better getting enough quality rest and sleep at night. Wishing everyone the best in their journey too….

Great app. 1 suggestion. I really like the sleep app, and it’s really help me improve my sleeping patterns by building awareness. I have no issues with would it does or how it works, but I do have one suggestion: it seems that it takes a while to generate the report, and one additional thing I would like is an instant reference in the morning, right on my watch, as to how many hours of sleep I got, rather than having to wait a while to get the report generated after I get up. The reason I want that is that I have a relatively dynamic lifestyle, and I work with clients in different parts of the country in different time zones, so sometimes, I have the option to sleep in a little longer and just want to know right then and there “how many hours of sleep did I get.“ when I scroll over to the sleep app on myApple Watch, it can’t give me that instantly, but instant access to how many hours I’ve slept would let me know whether it would be a good idea to sleep an extra hour on the days that I can. But by the time I go through the effort that it takes to generate the report, I’m wide awake. Usually this app presents the information at around noon.

Once best, now the worst. I was a subscriber for about a year with SleepWatch. On many occasions, whenever they updated the app, something always broke. Data was either missing or not recorded, there was difficulty entering manual time, and a host of other problems, which were eventually corrected. Many times you can’t even connect to the server to update your sleep information. So I canceled my subscription. Now, the free version is basically unusable. The developers must be bleeding money since people are now being bombarded with fixed and forced video ads at every turn. Their subscription pricing is all over the place because I got an email for one price and a different price in the app itself. It appears that most users are experiencing the same issues with this app. The only way to send a message to developers is for all users to rate this app as one star. And I’m sure the developer will post their useless, identical, standard AI response as they have done in every other post. I think it’s time to find another sleep app.

This app was top notch until they got greedy. I’ve used this app for a little over 2 years. They use to let you view your week/month sleeping patterns up to a year then if you wanted to see more you had to pay, you also had to pay for more in depth features which I thought was fair and have paid for a month to test it out. Now they released a new update that makes you basically pay to see yesterday’s data (not really but it feels that way). You are very limited on what you can do with this free version now. You can no longer see your trends for the week/months that have passed. This update has made me realize it’s time to move on. There are plenty of free sleep apps that are just as good if not better. Don’t bother with SleepWatch the developers have gotten greedy.

Cheaper than a hospital stay... I don’t know what I would have done without this app. As a Night Owl, I’ve always had trouble with daytime drogginess (I shine at night).. I’ve been waiting and hoping for years that I would find something that would help me. Forced to live part in the daytime world, it’s something that I’ve struggled with for years. Up till now I haven’t had a resource or a way to help me understand what was wrong with me. Thank You so much for making this service available. I use it every night. Now I finally have the tools to calculate how much sleep I need and what supplements are helping me. Your app streamlines everything and makes it almost automatic. The ‘almost’ is just the user’s effort and time investment. This product delivers. I rarely ever write reviews for products or services, but I made an exception here. You folks are amazing.

It’s okay if.... The reveals are fun for a month. Then one starts feeling evaluated. You begin to feel tested, scrutinized, judged. And finally, chastised for partaking in happy hours with neighbors, glad you escaped another week not catching what could be a fatal virus—chastised for celebrating a victory with wine with your meal in good company. But mostly chastised for not living like the regimented monk lifestyle that retires at 9 pm and awakes 6 am every day who rigorously exercises. One has to be okay feeling these psychological pressures. It's like being tested while sleeping while wearing a relentless non-compassionate machine that allows no leeway for life's unexpected calls of nature because you drink the appropriate amount of water a day. You awaken and worry you're not drifting off fast enough, so what will this do to your score!? And, people behind the scenes know it all. In that case, this is the app for you. Because it never fails to deliver judgment all the time.

Great app. Very useful. I love this app. I use it to monitor not just sleep, but also health in general. It provides all sorts of insights into heart health, particularly the effect diet, alcohol and sedentary behaviour can have on sleep and therefore health. Little changes in lifestyle will have pretty big effects. I feel better each morning as a result.

Would recommend to anyone 🙃. This app is simply the best, the only thing that needs improvement is a snooze function for the smart alarm on the Apple Watch, sometimes I just want to snooze for a little bit longer but this app only two option and that’s keep sleeping or stop sleeping and if you keep sleeping I believe the smart alarm is disabled. But over all I love the app and I use it everyday.

90% Great App to use with a 10% issue. Great app, only issue is the background refresh needs to be on to track your sleep at night but my iPhone can’t turn it to off. It’s permanently on despite deleting the app reloading it, updating it etc. Apple do not have an answer either 😔

Woke up half way it had me waking up in the future. Woke up in the middle of the night. Checked the data recorded. To my surprise, it had me in the future😂. Data was for the next morning when the morning had barely started. It had my heart beats shown as a data for the next morning. What a joke!! Come will probably reply back saying it’s forecasted data. Or a screen shot saying we had mentioned that. Well that would be untrue cause I have read it all. Don’t trust this app or the company!!

Fun at first but terribly inaccurate. Liked this app at first and all its various measures and monitors, but after a while they became just meaningless fluff. But the one that interests me most, probably most people, is terribly unreliable and inaccurate. That is the graph that shows Sleep Pattern. Some mornings it will show I had a period or two of disrupted sleep which I have no memory of. So I think it’s doing it’s job. But then, much more commonly, it will show I’ve slept undisturbed, even tho I remember waking, and even often when I’ve pressed buttons on my watch to check the time or some other info; even when I’ve laid awake stewing about the rumble from my partner, or dog barking next for, that woke me and now kept me awake; and sometimes even when I’ve gotten up to go to the toilet it still insists I slept undisturbed!! So, I’ve decided that Sleep Pattern measure is next to useless. So, really wonder why I bother with this app anymore. 🤔

SleepWatch. Informative and helpful to see a nights sleep endeavour unpacked in a meaningful way! Then by trying certain changes over a series of nights see if there is a noticeable change, whilst at the same time trying to make everything you do conducive of a good nights sleep

Was once 5 stars but now only 3-stars. For quite some time I have used this app and couldn’t fault it (except for maybe a couple of minor things). But most recently I’ve noticed that for intermittent days it says ‘sleep not detected’. What I’ve narrowed it down to is that this seems to occur for the days that I haven't opened the app on my phone to sync the data of each nights sleep within the same day of waking (i.e. before midnight the next night). This wasn’t the case before - I’m not sure when things changed in this regard. Sometimes I just have a busy day ahead of me and don’t get around to opening the app on my phone during the day or before going to bed the next night. Once upon a time you could open the app on a later day and it would sync previous nights’ sleep so long as it was within the last 7 day. Now seems it has to be done on same day which sometimes is just not practical. As a result, the stats may no longer be a reliable source of data over a longer term because it’s skipping many a day that supposedly sleep was not tracked. Well, sleep must’ve been tracked because I wear my watch every night, but you’ve changed the app to need us to open the phone app within a certain period of time before midnight the next night) to be able to sync data. So this app was once rated 5-stars with reasonably good data (albeit not perfect) but is now a 3-star. I’m considering not bothering with it now because the data may not be relied upon anymore!

An amazing must have.. This is such an amazing app allowing me to really get a good insight to how I am sleeping and why I feel the way I feel the next day as I do believe that sleep plays such an important role to state and performance. Definitely a must have for all Biohackers.

SleepWatch review. 1st time user, very different to Fitbit data, so I’ve found sleepwatch to be very busy with lots of information- need to adjust to screen layout. I did like Fitbit tracking 7days sleeping and alerts on decrease increase of sleep with feedback and facts pushed to You for free .

Good app with some fiddly annoyances. I’ve got this and AutoSleep on my phone. They both look at the same watch data and report the same things. This app costs more with its premium subscription. It could be argued this one tracks more in terms of tagging attributes of your sleep. I like the idea, but the tags are fiddly and often a 2 step/tap process (you’d think you’d just tap a tag like other apps). The hot spots for tags are small so sometimes the tap doesn’t register and the tag turns off instead of on, or similar unexpected result. Minor UX issue. In terms of real analysis and what I’ve “learned” from paying for the premium service for a year, not much. The tags sort of bubble up to give the most likely tags associated with better or worse sleep, but I can’t say there’s been any deep insight. A disruption overnight leads to less quality sleep. Yep, obvious. But there’s no insight like, try exercise the previous day, or anything. Nothing about food unless you tag it. And the tags are set I think, can’t add your own. It’s a well written app. It does the function it claims. I can’t see a need to continue the subscription as it doesn’t give me anything new that other, lower priced, apps do. I’m still waiting for the premium level to give me some new analytical insights rather than reflecting the tags, that I enter, back at me.

Great app. Have been using this for a few years now. Great app. Works perfectly with my Apple Watch and always has the correct times and data. Only downside is it thinks I'm not subscribed which I already am ;)

No support at all. Absolutely loved the app. However, it has completely stopped workong doesnt track my sleep doesnt track my heart rate anymore. Gone through all the troubleshooting steps and it still does not work. Contacted the support email over a week ago and heard absolutely nothing. Quite disappointed as the app seem to stop working around the same time I paid for a premium subscription. Feel quite conned as without any contact I have no way of getting a refund either!

Worth the subscription. I’m not usually fond of subscription services, but this one is definitely worth it. The metrics are easy to understand, and the information about how to improve sleep are good. I’d recommend to anyone looking to get good, reliable sleep metrics.

Works amazing. Tracks everything really well could be better on detecting naps, but overall rlly good doesn’t use too much battery either if watch is in sleep mode so the screen turns off. Only downside is I can’t find the snore detection they said in the update noted the past 4 updates??

What’s up with reading when you sleep?. I have been using this app for around 1 year now and I have one major problem with it. It is always getting my sleep times wrong. If I am inactive on the couch of an evening it says I am asleep, sometimes from 9pm!! Wouldn’t you link it to when you put your phone in sleep mode? Fix this guys and gals and it’s a good little app. Without it it’s completely inaccurate.

The best by far. I’ve tried a few of these sleep trackers and this is my favourite. Works accurately “right out of the box” and the graphics provide feedback without too much confusing content. Easy to use. Easy to follow.

“Sleep times overlap” when they don’t really.. Ok so if I put in a sleep time 5pm-7:30pm on 15th of March. And then also a time 4.25am-7:00am16th March then it won’t let me submit it. The app actually refused to record my sleep past 4:20am last night and when I tried to put it in manually it wouldn’t let me because the “sleep times overlap” it doesn’t seem to understand the difference between dates and am and pm.

I like it. I like the app, it works well. Haven’t had any issues so far. I have seen an improvement in my awareness/sleep hygiene. Only issue I have with the app is when adding the tags - to many clicks. I think the confirmation click is ok but it should send you back to the list of tags rather than the Home Screen. If I am investing the time to do one tag I’ll usually be wanting to do multiple tags.

Brilliant app. Easy to use app. Just pop your watch on before you go to bed and voila, everything works. Really handy info like nightly heart rate and heart rate trends, so you can tell the difference your body experiences when say sleeping normally or after exercise or drinking alcohol - the info from this app helps you stop deceiving yourself with optimism and helps you start to make wise choices that give you better sleep over time. Very easy to use. Very insightful. A must have app for anyone keen to manage heir sleep or just find ways to get better sleep. I don’t feel better every day because of the necessities of modern life, but with this app I at least know what I can do to get the best sleep and ultimate have good help and feel energized for life. Well done to the team in building this!

Hopeless. The app Can’t tell the difference between sitting down at 7pm to watch TV and going to bed to sleep. Impossible to edit sleep times so you’re stuck with incorrect readings. Only intermittent recording of heart rate dip during sleep. I’m Now looking for a more accurate, easier to use app.

Started off fine, then it stopped tracking my sleep. The app started off fine back in July when I first used it with an Apple Watch. It tracked my sleep very accurately. More so than the Fitbit I had which had started to die. I’ve since found in the past 4 weeks it’s stopped doing that. If I take my pain meds at 5 am (which I need to do each morning) it assumes I’ve woken up and assumes that’s the end of my sleep. Even though I always go straight back to sleep until at least 7:30 am, sometimes later. This is frustrating because it means each morning I have to add in extra data it should have tracked itself. I’ve decided to try another sleep tracking app and then may return to this app if I hear it’s improved it’s sleep tracking abilities.

Watch out! You better be awake when that alarm goes off. I previously used Sleep Cycle - which I love and very much support. Since apple Made changes to WatchOS, the Apple Watch App disappeared and I was looking for an alternative: SleepWatch. Overall, the app works well, BUT (!!) it has no snooze - and after checking with the support team (which is actually quite responsive), there will also be no snooze button. Apparently snoozing is bad for you (not surprising) but if you want to (need to) wake up at 4:30am to go about your day or catch a flight - you better be awake after the single vibration alarm that you’re getting. To me, this kills the experience and my ability to rely on the app. So far I have not missed any flights (I travel frequently) but it resulted in a few stressful mornings. Verdict: add snooze or loose those who don’t set ‘normal’ 6/7am alarms. Nobody wants to snooze for 15mins, but a 2min reminder to get up should definitely be expected. I cancelled my premium subscription

Bit useless. I had the free week trial to see if this was any good and wore my Apple Watch series 1 to bed every evening. It doesn’t even detect me getting up to go to the toilet. Waking up to reports of zero disrupted sleep when you have been to the toilet twice makes me think that the rest of that data is made up too. Bad data is worse that zero data. If this worked I’d have gladly paid for it but it seems a bit pointless if it can’t even detected me getting up and walking to the toilet and back.

Poor. I used to enjoy this app and then they added all this advertising that blocks the entire screen so I just shut it down and won’t use it. It is very annoying and stops good use of the app. It would be better to have an ad in a section of your screen to click on if interested, but shoving an ad in your face with no way of getting to your sleep information is inappropriate and wrong!

First fortnight. Mostly good. One complaint: my watch should be less bright when I move my wrist during the night. It’s actually woken me a number of times during the night which rather defeats the object ! Also, when adding data about previous night, why not default-fill some of the ones that are repeated every night - like Sleeping Partner and Sleep on Side - so that if these change they are the exception.

Good but could be better. I find this app good but I wish it had an option that said “watch was on charge” as I sometimes fall asleep waiting for the watch to charge then I wake up the next day and find it didn’t record my sleep. Having mental health issues I find it hard to sleep and other times I can’t stay awake so having that option about the watch on charge in the app would be wonderful thank you

Great insights to improve sleep!. Love this app, seems to be quite accurate to tell me how I’ve slept over the night and any times I’m restless. Great intelligence to tell me that when I exercise and burn a certain amount of energy, I tend to sleep much better on average, when I don’t sleep well, it’s because I’ve had caffeine after a certain time, or have had a lazy day.

New watch so it loses ALL my data. Not sure if it’s related to me having purchased the App before it went subscription but it’s suddenly lost years of sleep data and now keeps pushing the subscription IAP. No point even to continue using it now. Was once a good App now just subscription trash.

Miss and hit. I’ve had this app for just over a week now, I had never worn my watch to bed but have started as I wanted to track my sleep for my PT so we could see if I was getting enough as I’m also a shift worker. It’s been pretty good but I’ve now had 2 times where it’s told me it hasn’t tracked any sleep an they have felt like the most rested sleep so I really wanted to see the data so bit disappointed.

Communication error. Every time I try to save anything in this app it says Communication Error: your response could not be saved, please try again. It’s stuck on a screen asking how rested my sleep is and will not go away, I have even restarted my phone. The only option I can see is to delete the app, but this will delete all the data I’ve saved to date too. Ridiculous.

Interesting nights sleep. Enjoying the app, works well. Gives a lot of info and more if you want to pay for it. There are a few slight bugs that I’ve found.. it doesn’t like shift workers. If you sleep at different times of the day then it kinda doesn’t know how to correlate the times properly and thinks you’ve slept 14 hrs at once when really you slept 6 hrs on day one and 8 on day two. Other then that, I’ve really enjoyed the little exploration into my sleeping habits.

Used to be great, now a waste of time.. This app used to be so good! Maybe in the last few updates it is lacking. My sleep will now only be recorded if I start tracking my sleep from the phone app. Completely defeats the purpose of having an app on the watch and wearing my watch to sleep. I’m so disappointed that I paid for another years subscription. Not worth the spend (or even the download for the free version).

Great feedback on my sleep!. Interesting info about my sleep quality and habits. This app is worth using if you need help improving your sleep or if you just want to monitor your sleep quality.

Data will not show up on watch.. This is a great app and looks to be very accurate with sleep rates and stuff but I have a problem in that no data will show up in the watch app. Everything shows up on the phone app but nothing but a no data available screen on my watch. I have a series 2 watch running latest iOS. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling but no luck. Any suggestions?

Fantastic view into the unknown realm of sleep. Absolutely fantastic app working seamlessly with the Apple Watch. Been using this app for a bit over a years I believe and have no complaints what-so-ever. I’ve always been curious in what my sleep is like and how good of sleep I’m getting. Even as the Apple Watch itself doesn’t have such feature, you would assume it was developed by apple with how seamlessly fantastic it works. Give it a shot and I will guarantee you’ll be pleased at seeing the world that you are always asleep for. 100% fantastic

Doesn’t allow for medication. Tracks your heart activity and dips but no allowance for if you are on medication that affects your heart rate and keeps it stable. Means you never get a good score. Maybe need to add a medical condition section

Almost perfect sleeping app. This app has everything, I really enjoy it compared to other sleep tracker apps. The amount of detailed info you can load on the watch to view is incredible, saying that, it does take quite a very long while to load the information on the watch app. Running on series 3.

Makes me accountable. I love the sleep watch app. I have the free version and still learn a lot from all of the parameters it measures. I like being aware of my hours of sleep, the light and the deep and the interruptions noted. I also like the reminders asking for how rested or fatigued I feel. I have a long way to go but my sleeping patterns and routines are improving with noticeable health benefits. Thanks sleep watch ;)

Excellent for sleep tracking. Using this app is a great way to regulate your sleep and following suggestions made by the app will definitely improve the quality of your sleep. The subscription free version is all you will ever need to track your sleep patterns as the only benefit to the subscription is being able to view other people’s sleep patterns.

Awesome App!!. I’ve tried a few sleep apps, and this is by far the best that you don’t have to pay for if you don’t want to/can’t. I have severe Fibromyalgia and tracking my sleep is really important but my income is very limited now that I can’t work so all other sleep apps I’ve tried were basically useless and just telling me how many hours I’d slept overnight. This app has so many features and tracks so many aspects. If I could afford to pay for it, I’d definitely upgrade it. Don’t even bother trying other apps - this is the absolute best!!

Almost Great. I’ve tried several sleep apps, and this is the best. However there is room for improvement. The expensive subscription should be shareable with family members. The visualisations could be more attractive and smoother, eg scrolling the trends can be janky. I’d like to see more insights such as recovery/readiness for exercise. Tagging could be made much easier and more useful (see Daylio for a good example). While this app has fewer ‘false positives’ than others I’ve tried, I’d still like to specify my sleep window more precisely to further reduce the need for edits. Some negative reviews mentioned sync problems between watch & phone. I also had that issue, requiring rebooting both every week or so, but thankfully that has been resolved and it works reliably now.

Great app for sleep ... but.... I love the app used in conjunction with my Apple Watch. But I wish a notes area could be added. I need various medications to help me sleep... doctors prescribed for bad times... and natural some nights... and nothing for others. The questions do not allow personal notes to view as to why maybe I sleep better one night over another. Add this option and it would be a top class app for sleep .

Good info, but frustrating. The app gives good sleep information, but the constant push to get me to subscribe is really annoying. Pop ups almost every time I open it, and now they have this new, truncated view of the screen that shows the sleep info, which you have to click through every time.

Everything free is fake. If your looking for a FREE app where you can actually track your sleep schedule, this is NOT the app for you. I tracked my entire sleep overnight expecting all of the benefits it promised me in the morning and every single review was locked and you had to pay for it. I recommend finding a different app to track your sleep, no one is willing to pay a stupid amount of money for that. Don’t fall for the scam.

Awesome app!!. I love SleepWatch so much!! I used to have a Fitbit which tracks your sleep in the actual fitbit app which I really liked, but then I got an Apple Watch. I really wanted to have an app to track my sleep. I tested out a few apps but a lot of them I didn’t really like, but then I came across this app. It’s so good! It gives so much detail and I very accurate! It works great on my Apple Watch and I can’t thank this app enough! This app makes me feels more motived to go to sleep earlier. I highly recommend this app for those who are interested in tracking their sleep like me. :))

Update. I enjoyed that have a watch during sleeping but I feel uncomfortable with wearing a watch at times would also be easier if it also allowed the phone to count you sleeping when not wearing a watch. Update on two separate account, count your sleeping patterns as well as your naps as you get confused when checking how many hours you have slept and how many hours you have nap.

Erroneous readings. I really like this app but over the last few nights it’s been recording me being awake for big blocks of time when I know I’ve been asleep. It’s showing I’ve had really poor sleep. Maybe it’s something with an update but it doesn’t seem to be reflecting my sleep correctly. It can be hard to sync to phone

Too Many Ads. I used to love this app, I’ve had it for 5 years and used it every night. I have now deleted the app due to the amount of advertisements. Recently the amount of ads has gone out of control and any time I click somewhere I get a new add. I understand this is how they make money but it is way too much. Very disappointing as I really loved the information I could get

The best. I have tried the top five or six rated sleep apps for my Apple Watch. This one is my favourite by far very accurate, intuitive graphs to read, perfect all around. My only criticism is that it doesn’t have a respiration rate, which some of the others do. But overall definite five stars

It’s ok. Other apps such as sleep recorder gives the ability to listen to 15 of the recordings for free. I tried this all out last night hoping to be able to check my snoring in the morning. I was sadly surprised in the morning when I wasn’t able to access any of the recordings without having to pay. I wasted my time on this app and I wish it just disclosed from the start that I would not be able to access the sound features.

Mostly good. Sleep disruptions are not being captured correct for me. Apple health app is spot on. For example I wake at 3:00 am to get a glass of water and the SleepWatch app does not record that I was awake or sleep was disrupted. Other rdata is good to know but won’t renew next year unless this is fixed.

Crashing. Keeps crashing when I open it

Wow, this app SUCKS!!!. Wore my watch to sleep for a week and this app didn’t track anything! Kept saying not enough data. Use a different sleep tracker. Don’t waste your time with this one.

Upselling is terrible now. I enjoyed this app until the last few months as they have been upselling like crazy. I can’t open the app without getting a full page ad and the interface really shows what I am supposedly “missing“. But I was a premium member and I didn’t find it that useful so I stopped. I really wish they hadn’t started on this draconian upselling. It makes going to the app unpleasant and tedious to always dismiss the ads. So much I’m thinking of leaving it now.

Not accurate for me. Fails to accurately record the amount of sleep I’m getting. Always says I’m getting a fraction of what I know I’m actually getting. Also too many pop up questions throughout the day for my liking.

Used to be a accurate. Used to love this app but for unknown reasons and me even playing with the sensitivity settings it’s rarely accurate. Quite disappointed

Tracks time at rest. Have been using for about three weeks now and usually tacks times I’m watching tv sitting reading as time asleep. It lets me know part of this time is good sleep I had hoped for an honest Record of my sleep. patterns

Freezes too often. The app freezes almost daily and doesn’t let you complete the sleep report

Use it on the daily. Great app! Love to track my sleep and see how much shut eye I got the previous night.

Not worth it. Very inaccurate. Nights that I have tossed and turned and actually gotten up show as uninterrupted sleep. Used for a month. Not going to anymore.

Mistracks sleep. I had my watch on the charger all day and the app tracked 2 hours of sleep even tho the watch was charging. The app also uses tracked sleep from the day before after a certain time and adds it to the next day. That is wrong and should not do that. I sleep during the day cause i work nights. All my tracked sleep should be all on the one day not split between two days like this app is doing. I’m currently on the trial and when that is done i will be deleting this app and will stick with the other sleep app i have.

Poor. Sleep times are completely inaccurate

Rapid eye movement. I wish it had more detail about the dream part of the sleep phases

SleepWatch. Devrais être en français svp

Poor. This app is not accurate at all, the fitbit is much more accurate. You would think that apple would be more advanced

Why the change??. I get you want to make money so the premium stuff is at the top, annoying but whatever. Then the ad, super annoying but again, ok. Now since the most recent update it only tracks my night sleep. If I nap during the day it no longer tracks, even if I enter the data it shows as if I wasn’t wearing my watch. I think it might be time to find another app. Too bad.

Garbage. What a surprise the only review is from 2 years ago. I used it one night in what was supposed to be a “free” trial. Premium upgrades kept popping up preventing me from accessing features in the app. When I finally got around this and set it up to use for the first night I was eager to see the data, and hear the sounds in the morning. What a surprise (sic) again that I need to pay to hear the sound data. I deleted the app and I am very disappointed…I’m not paying for anything unless I know it works and if the free trail doesn’t work that’s telling me something. Don’t recommend.

Find something better. The new updates and ads have ruined it. They've jumped on the ad bombardment bandwagon. Have had this app for years and have now deleted it.

Amazing 5 star app. I am on this app for 3 years now. I was never a great sleeper. So, passing my 40s I finally started asking questions. So, I read “Why we sleep” by M. Walker, which opened my eyes and made me look differently at the sleep. I bought apple watch, downloaded 3 different sleeping apps and started experimenting. The SleepWatch app came up as a winner. It was very easy to understand, to use and to track. Because it measures many different aspects of your body while you are asleep, over the years I managed to identify the weak points which were affecting my sleep quality on a bad and good side. The biggest shock I experienced when I learnt how alcohol before bed (as little as 1 glass of wine) affects the quality of my sleep. On the other side, I was pleasantly surprised how significantly my dip and heart rate during sleep drop just because I did some excercise during the day. As for developers of this app, they are in constant motion. The updates, improvements, new add ons are coming all the time. And if I had any small hiccups with the app in the past, I communicated them to the developers and they were rectified immediately. I want to say it to everybody, - if you are serious about your health and longivety, hence sleep, this is the app #1 to pick and I will highly recommend it to everybody I know and I dont:-)

waste of money , doesn’t work. this app is useless, it say a lot of features but none of them work !

Not happy. I deleted it because it not tracking my sleep right.

Top rated crash?. Tried this app, but it wants to know how well rested you are but you can’t enter anything because it’s a continual communication error. I just deleted it after three days of trying it cause it wouldn’t let me get past that page this time. I wouldn’t recommend this app.

Awesome. After the latest update, the app doesn’t seem to log naps anymore. It used to detect a nap even if I didn’t turn sleep mode on my watch. This was an important part of using the app for me for medical reasons. Still a great app though.

The premium membership is a hassle. Can someone please respond to all my emails about this faulty app? I spend more time manually adjusting my sleep tracking then I did when I was on the free app. I want my money back.

Won’t let me past first screen. Garbage app do not download won’t go past first screen.

Storage Full - Will Cancel Service if I Don’t Get A Timely Response. I originally really liked this app and is accuracy, so I opted for the premium subscription. But I am realizing that 1/4 of my phone storage is being taken up by this APP! There is a “data deletion request” option, but you have to email the developer to get it done, which seems like an entirely unnecessary step (???) There HAS to be an easier way to either free up some space within the app OR make it so the app doesn’t take up so much space in the first place (15+ GB is EXCESSIVE!) I Will Cancel Service if I Don’t Get A Timely Response…

Ridiculously inaccurate. I was awake till 3 am using both my watch and phone, walking, sitting, going up and down the stairs even and it says I slept from 9pm to 9am!!!!!

Terrible. Tracking was spot on. Then iPhone updated and now it doesn’t track sleep accurately. Sometime not at all. Watch is on wrist snug. Nothing I had been doing has changed. Looking for a new app to track sleep. Fitbit had an awesome sleep tracking.

Completely inaccurate. It said I slept almost 8 hours when I was awake all night, except for about 1 1/2 hours of sleep just before waking for the day. I was wearing my fit bit versa as well and it was a little off, saying 3 hours, but way more accurate. Also, I wish SleepWatch was a little more detailed about cycles (as in rem, deep, light, awake) Fitbit also reports estimated oxygen variation which can be an indication of nocturnal respiratory problems such as sleep apnea. Having asthma, I like having that available. Wish it was offered through SleepWatch.

Broken since last Apple Watch update. This app worked fine before since March when I bought my watch until the most recent Apple Watch update, I have tried deleting the app and reinstalling it both on my phone and watch and that doesn’t work. I heard there was a fix for it but can’t seem to find it. It says I’m sleeping when I’m not and when I am sleeping there are big gaps of it not registering that I have slept at all, I have to go in and delete all the false readings and add the actual time I went to bed and woke up and then of course there are no rested or light sleeping tracked or heart rate tracked during those times.

It just stopped working. I loved this app until it just stopped working. For months now I have an error saying Missing Watch Data Detected. It’s not syncing with Apple help. I’ve followed the instructions many times and have even had a friend try. Still no luck. I’m so disappointed.

Doesn’t work properly. It always says I got way more sleep than I actually did, adds a couple hours almost every time

6 month review. Great app at first. After a few months of use I am not entirely sure what to think about it. I know that it records me as asleep when I am wide awake and very still trying to fall asleep. This is frustrating. From a high level it’s great to get an idea of how much sleep you’re getting. From the micro perspective it’s been a fail. I have been playing video games and not shows me as asleep

Great till it started crashing. Before the last update it was great. Now it doesn’t work

Useless for me. I downloaded not realizing it needed an Apple Watch which I do not have. Without the watch it’s pretty much useless.

Worked great for a few weeks. Worked for a few weeks and now it rarely works. I found the Fitbit sleep tracker the most reliable I wish I could get that app on my Apple Watch.

Forcing me to provide data. Be prepared to receive messages asking you to provide more information, like “Access Workouts” and ONLY ONE OPTION TO CHOOSE- a button “OK”! - this is RIDICULOUS! I decide what I do with my information. Deleting it from my phone now - and I suggest more people to do the same.

Scam. They like to charge your card and even though you didn’t sign up to there subscription. And they make it almost impossible to cancel it. Complete scam

Garbage. This app used to be good, but it is useless since the last update. Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere for a sleep app.

What happened?. I am heavily invested in this app and paid premium many times but for some reason. My sleeps start toget deleted when I refresh after a nap. Also ads suddenly became way worse than before so please do something about it too.

Not worth. I tried this app to track sleep information but it doesn’t track anything. I didn’t get any help from the support group either so just uninstalled it.

Shame on you!. I bought and paid for this app. Now it’s got ad’s in it. This wasn’t a free app, it didn’t have ads when I purchased it, now you’re forced into buying (subscription) to remove the ads. Horrible business tactics. Will never recommend this.

Accuracy is an issue. I’ve been using the premium paid version for many months now and based on my sustained usage do not feel this app is accurate. Needs to be improved before I would continue paying for this app.

Too many ads now, and too long. I’ve enjoyed using this app for years, but lately the ads are getting annoying. I know they’re trying to make people buy the premium version, but I might just end up deleting it, and using Apple’s free Health app instead.

Pretty much useless. Did not track anything correctly and the information provided tells you next to nothing about how you actually slept. Save your time and get a different app.

Not Accurate. It skips many hours of sleep nightly. I’m really not sure why this has so many high star reviews 🤷🏻‍♀️

Enjoy the App. I’m liking SleepWatch and it’s different features. I do wish that when you looked at the monthly view, that each date was colour coded based on your sleep that night. That way you could quickly see how many times in one month you met your sleep goal.

iOS 14 update ack!. Please hurry and fix the issues. Zero tracking capability since the latest update. Support: please fix! Before this loved the tracking !!!

Very inaccurate. Tracks sleep when I’m up and using my phone, says I’m awake when I know I’ve been sleeping. Not at all an accurate measure of sleep. I’m very disappointed in Apple Watch that this is the best they can do.

One star off for lack of user calibration. I use both SleepWatch and AutoSleep, and find that SleepWatch gives me more false readings. Why? First, I have an implanted pacemaker, but the app fails to take that possibility and device-governed 60 bpm minimum heart rate into account. Hence, my HRV (heart rate variability) score is low, which detracts from my overall sleep score. Second, the app misreads my relaxation times (e.g., watching tv or reading) as a sleep state. My other fave app, AutoSleep, allows me to calibrate its sensitivity, and reads my posture (standing, sitting, prone), allowing more accurate measurement. Adding such calibration, and/or reading my posture, would make SleepWatch the best app, hands down, especially since, unlike with the free aforementioned competition, I’m paying a subscription fee.

Highly inaccurate. I use the Sleepwatch App in concert with my Apple Watch, I have been using it for about 9 months now, so have it a fair shot, and have found it to be highly inaccurate and frankly random. I tried to get support and it was a joke, it would have taken me days to troubleshoot and no option to just call a person or have them troubleshoot. Very long process to even attempt to figure out why it’s not working properly. For example, last night, it’s telling me I slept for over 11 hours, but I didn’t even go to bed until after 11:00PM and got up at 7:00AM. The one thing that I like is the white noise sounds, I use it when I travel to be able to sleep in hotel rooms. But, you can get that for free from other Apps. I asked how to get a refund, but apparently that’s not possible, very difficult to get help. Perhaps the technology just isn’t there yet to be able to do this accurately.

Love it!. I love this app! It’s making me more aware of how much little sleep I get and try harder. But many things are not in my control. Then they came out with the tags... however those tags really don’t paint my picture. If they did I could give 5 stars. Things that are an issue for me.... 1)Husband has anCPAP and sometimes it gets noisy and wakes me up. 2)the sleep at home but sometimes I have to sleep on the couch (bed was too hard and awful) or in my special needs sons room. 3)full moon - so bright difficult for me to sleep. But also DeafBlind son is awake 24 - 48 hours on full moons. 4)4 adult kids live at home and work all kinds of crazy hours 5)4 dogs here... always something going on 6) power goes out and husband and son’s CPAP’s stop and cause panic 7) also have had injuries that keep me away or opposite 8)we got a new purple bed 9)work days I get less sleep the night before... probably shortened time to sleep as well as stress So sleeping with a bed partner or without isn’t the picture... for me... it’s what goes on with those issues. Anyway, I do love this app... I just there was a little more we can tag. It would help me. Thank you so much for this app! Good news is I will not change apps. And now we got a purple 4 bed so that it’s much easier on these old bones! Happy sleeper!

My Data (consecutive days) Keeps Vanishing Even AFTER Contacting Support!. I have used this app for over a year & I used to love it; however, now, I’m on the verge of deleting it out of disappointment & frustration! 😤 I have contacted support multiple times about my consecutive days resetting for no good reason. The first time I received a response after about a week & after completing troubleshooting steps, I got my data back. Then, it happened AGAIN only a couple days after that! I contacted support but have yet to get any response! It seems to happen every time I update the app! I just don’t have time for added aggravation, especially around something that is supposed to be a tool against the exact OPPOSITE. I meditate multiple times a day, faithfully. I don’t need the app if it’s not going to track something that is so meaningful to my experience! ⚠️ If this isn’t resolved QUICKLY, DELETION PENDING in…..

Confused App. I really like knowing what my heart rate is while sleeping, especially since it is in the normal rate, however, the app seems to record the start of my sleeping before I even put the watch on. I usually charge my watch about 2 hours before bed and put the watch on and go to sleep. When I wake up it shows several hours of sleep where I didn’t have the watch on. I also notice that the app will start to record my time of sleep while I’m watching tv in the evening. I can watch several shows and find that my sleep has been recorded. I’ve just about stopped using the app because of these inaccuracies. Any thoughts on this?

Night shift. Great app! Still trying out the “experimental” feature of the all day sleep detection. I work 12 hour night shifts 3 times per week as a nurse, so you could say my sleep patterns are irregular. I was off all weekend so I slept at night and the app worked beautifully. However, today as I slept in preparation for my shift tonight it did not detect that I was asleep at all. Since it is an experimental feature, I’m going to give it a few more chances or maybe increase the sensitivity of sleep detection. I hate to make the comparison but I did recently switch from Fitbit to Apple Watch and there was never an issue with sleep detection no matter when I slept with Fitbit. Hopefully strides are being made for those of us who enjoy tracking our sleep! Again, a successful app.

Not good for midnight workers or if you have broken up sleep. I do you like the capabilities this app has if you work normal hours. Even if I turned on all day sleep detection is still didn’t record my sleep accurately. I even changed the sensitivity where it was more sensitive. There are many days that I will sleep for 2 to 3 hours, get up for a few hours, and then go back to sleep two or three hours. In the app it would track that I slept the whole time without getting up. I would try to manually change it but it was like it would only accept one sleeptime start to finish, not two. It would let you change it the way it should be, the times you actually slept, but then once you saved it and went to a different day and went back it’s like you never changed it. I emailed for support and never heard anything back. App could be great, was super excited about it. Maybe they will fix it

Challenge with time zones & trend reporting. Overall I am enjoying sleep watch and monitoring my sleep patterns. My challenge with the app arises because I travel across time zones and sleep watch doesn’t record the time zone of your sleep. for all analytics it used the current time zone your phone is in. So if you move between EST and CET (6hr difference) all of your trend metrics are totally off - as it shows you barely sleeping for the opposing time zone nights. Therefore if you travel across time zones and want to use this app for trend analysis it doesn’t work at all. The second point would be I have the feature set up to ask me how rested I am every morning, and I am unable to find this data available as a trend report which I think would be very useful to compare over time and also link to the other metrics captured.

Tracking is lacking. I don’t know if the problem is with the app or if the problem is with Apple Watch. I can be talking on the telephone, watching TV, asking questions of Alexa, playing games on my phone, sitting up, wide awake, making notes, and this still shows that I am sleeping. So, pretty disappointing. It’s good that you can change the time according to what you know, you have been doing during that time. The other thing I thought I really annoying is that the app keeps reminding me I need to get more sleep which just adds to the frustration of my own insomnia. I can’t recommend this for someone with insomnia because it is utterly maddening as it keeps sending me reminders that I need to get more sleep. No kidding! Important note: I have had my Apple Watch checked, and it is on my arm with the right pressure.

Best App for Understanding Your Sleep. I have had much help with understanding my sleep because of this app. It has helped me see how things affect my sleep. The app shows your heart rate, how deep your sleep, how long your sleep is and how your heart rate lowers, there’s also an option to respond relating to how well you feel you slept each day. You also are able to input items that affect your sleep. The app is designed to be very helpful and thorough to give you a tool to get better sleep. They offer a subscription to monitor and evaluate other factors that can give an even better understanding of your sleep quality and patterns. I find it is the best app out there for really evaluating factors that affect your sleep and monitor your sleep.

Subtle insults to goad you into sleep “health”. This product has been just okay. I don’t find it completely accurate but it has helped for what I needed from it. I do wish it had a “I have small kids” option on it as I am woken up often with babies. I am just about at the point of deleting this app due to their most recent marketing scheme. I was sent a message that said(my interpretation as I can’t remember exactly) “76% of users are better at using this app than you, upgrade to our premium level to do better”. Whew. I mean who needs a toxic partner when you have your sleep app comparing and putting you down.. No, I will not upgrade to your premium level. I might continue using this app until a nicer and perhaps more encouraging one comes out. - a tired momma … Update: six months later I continue to receive guilt/shame messages about how 86% of other people are better than me. I’m disgusted with the tactics that this app uses and will remove it from my phone/watch

Interesting. I’ve been using this app for quite some time and it has helped me work out and monitor how I sleep and develop plans to improve. However, what I’ve noticed recently, I generally fall asleep about 9:30 most nights and at 11:30 I wake up to use the loo. This used to be recorded as a disruption. What I’ve noticed lately, the app has now started to record my sleeping time after I wake up to go to the toilet and no longer includes the time i initially fell asleep. There are some things that I’d like to see in the tags: watching TV, TV on at night, because when I have discussion with my friends about sleep, the one thing I have learned, so many people leave their tv on to sleep and I think that too has an impact. GEED

First time user !!!!!. I have worn a Fitbit for years… And my Apple Watch would sit and collect dust only because I love how Fitbit is very concise and gives me my steps the calories I’ve burned and I absolutely love that it gives me some detail on my sleep… Going back to myApple Watch I was trying to find a sleep app that could give me “some details”Well this app totally surpassed some details! It is amazing and I am enjoying it thoroughly… My only Khan on this app is that I have to pay attention to what time it is when I know I’m going to sleep because I can go to sleep at 1 AM and it will Record that I went to sleep at 2:20 AM so I will have to manually correct that other than that it’s great!

Some suggestions. Super love Sleep Watch app but I do have some suggestions: On the Trends section, the descriptions of each trend should be collapsible so that you could view more trends in one screen. On the Today section, the time on the top is redundant because it already shows the time range on the Sleep Pattern section. There should be just a button at the very bottom to add a sleep time. Adding a sleep time is not something you do very often so it makes sense to just put it at very bottom. The Sleep Report is great but I always forget to make one. There should be a reminder to do it every week or so in the Updates section or part of notifications. Overall I love this app and I’ve been recommending to friends.

Great but can’t turn on screen. I love this App and it is by far the most accurate one I have found with the most features. I definitely plan on buying the premium version however the one thing that is holding me back is that when I’m getting ready for sleep and I turn on sleep tracking when I touch my Apple Watch screen to make it turn off the time is displayed on the screen and the only way that I can get rid of this is to turn off the always on display and turn it back on in the morning which is a huge nuisance. This is definitely something going on in the app because when I turn on sleep mode on my watch and tap the screen it is black but when I have sleep mode on and the app tracking my sleep the screen is always displaying the time and bright white numbers I hope this gets fixed or there is at least an option to toggle this feature.

Used to a great tool. Been using this app to track my sleep for the last 2 years, used to swear by it. The last few months it has been tracking poorly, sometimes not at all I wear my watch all the time so I don’t know why it doesn’t see this. Also there is no feature for pregnancy mode. My resting heart rate by default is going to be higher and it’s annoying trying to track my sleep when every night it shows me a deep red heart and basically telling me I’m unhealthy and going up die. Okay maybe not die but according to their scale it says people like me live shorter lives. This is coming from someone to strived to see that blue heart every morning. The developers seriously need to add a pregnancy feature or I’ll have to find another sleep app that does and no long recommended sleep watch

Useless inaccurate information. Not for shift workers. I’ve been a shift worker for 15 years. I bought this app hoping to gain some insight into my sleep. After 3 months it’s completely useless. The sleep suggestions just don’t work if you’re not a 9-5 worker. The sleep score is just funny. In days I sleep terribly and have tons of interruptions on my tracker it gives me scores over 700. On days I sleep like a rock, wake up barley at all, and get over 8 hours sleep it gives me scores in the 200’s saying I slept bad? Even when I consistently tell it I woke up rested on the days it says I slept bad and fatigued on the days it says I slept good it still doesn’t use the data to adjust. About the only decent thing is the heart rate dip but you can get that in the free trial and once you have it trust me it doesn’t really change. Save your 30 dollars and try one of the feee apps out there. They’re probably as good or better than this joke of an app in the end.

Great app if you’re willing to pay for a subscription. This app has been useful in the way that it tracks your sleeps, gives you your results which includes: -the amount of hours you slept -when and how long you went into deep sleep -how long it takes you to fall asleep -your average resting heart rate -the amount of disruptions during your sleep -a sleep score that tells you whether your sleep is poor or great These are just some of the features off of my head. There’s a lot more. This is with a PREMIUM subscription, but it has been worth it. It’s within a reasonable price range. The only issues I have run into is with the app on my app watch. There was an incident where the app froze and didn’t respond when I touched it. It seemed to be in limbo and I couldn’t read my report for the night. However, the app offers a FAQ section on the main phone app and I was able to fix the problem with the information they offered with little trouble. It helps to update this app as soon as the updates come out.

Comparison to Fitbit HR (then a Charge 2) & sleep. After owning the Fitbit HR and Charge 2, I became accustomed to more in-depth sleep analysis. Having categories such as amount of time to fall asleep, Light sleep, REM sleep, Deep sleep, and general time awake; those aspects are being “missed” by this individual. With the understanding of fee-based options rendering more data, I was still hoping for more with Sleep Watch app’s free version. This is especially true given my primary reason in testing this app. (Primary reason: my Husband recently surprised me with an Apple Watch series 4.) While Sleep Watch has some good features and data analysis, it would still be nice if this app was more “competitive”. Definitely so when compared to Fitbit and other fitness tracker devices on the market. Above all, one should NOT be required to pay extra for the most common aspects in sleep data. Therefore, this app may be deleted in search of a more complete analysis. One that is thorough and WITHOUT extra fees or charges. No offense here, because this is a fairly good app. But one fact (or opinion) remains that individuals should not have to pay for the basics or analyses of sleep data.

Great performance. Sleep Watch is the easiest, most accurate sleep tracking app I’ve used. The way it charts restfulness vs restlessness alongside my sleeping heart rate has taught me so much about my own sleep patterns. I tend to sleep at all weird hours… napping during the day and not going to bed until well after 1 AM. Sleep Watch accurately & automatically detects all my sleep – even 20 minute naps in the middle of the afternoon. This app has identified how irregular my sleeping patterns are and now I’m working to change that. I feel better, I’m less like Shrek in the morning and I have become more aware of how important a good night’s sleep really is. Sleep Watch is one of the few apps that I truly can say is life-changing.

BZ! Amazing Customer Service!!. I’ve been searching for a sleep monitoring application since purchasing my Apple Watch over 3 years ago. I’ve tried a few and this one BY FAR EXCEEDS MY EXPECTATIONS!!!! I had a couple issues upon installing the application but immediately contacted customer service. They were EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND VERY PROFESSIONAL!!! One issue was “user error” (I’ll readily admit that i was the one mucking stuff up); the other issue ended up being CORRECTED (almost) IMMEDIATELY BY THE DEVELOPERS!! The support team kept me in-the-loop and waited for me to confirm everything was working properly!!! I wanted something that didn’t require much intervention on my part (such as notifying the app when I’m going to bed and when I’m waking up...). Its totally worth initial troubleshooting!! I will be upgrading to the subscription next month!!

Problems with sleep tracking and reporting. One of the biggest problems found in insomnia is the occurrence of naps throughout the day. When I contacted support they stated the application would not start counting time of sleep until one hour had elapsed. Most of my naps are between 30” and at times greater. I found that on several occasions where my nap was more than one hour, the application started count down for the next day/date. I tried to edit the time periods listed be the application. As a user it is possible to add times of elapsed note by the user however it seems to be ignored by the application. The application totally disregards REM sleep in its total sleep calculations. Is REM Sleep not a part of of sleep that is necessary? If there are interruptions during sleep , are the true awake periods? Is it a Period where there is leg thrashing, and/or troubled dreams? I have a ultra watch which is always on an night and during the day when I start to feel sleep. Sleep data reported here is identical to the data that is captured both by the Apple iPhone and the Apple Watch and listed in the Apple health app. I’m up for my renewal of my annual subscription for $40. Which I have now canceled. I ignored the quirks listed above in first two paragraphs for the past year. I’ve have cancelled my subscription to this app and will place money on a new app and watch it perform over the obligatory 1 year subscription.

Not accurate. I never write or submit reviews, but this app doesn’t work. I got this app to give me an idea of actual deep rem sleep, and restlessness, but it gives me inaccurate readings. I know for a fact the time I go to bed and when I start falling asleep as I have a bi-pap machine and put on the mask. That gives accurate sleep time and breathing issues, until I take the mask off when I awake. This app keeps telling me I’m still sleeping when I’m not...example; when I actually might have slept 3 hours, it says I slept 7 hours. I don’t know if it’s counting the time I may be sitting down drinking coffee or reading a book in the morning. One day I wasn’t feeling well, and was not as active as normal, watch tv, read, was on the computer, and when I checked the app, it said I had slept 14 hours. Not good! No help in calculating or deciphering if you are resting or sleeping. I gave it a two, because it provides the heart beat, rhythm, etc. I just hope that’s correct.

Great measures while you sleep.. Before I got my apple watch I owned a pebble watch that had a night mode that I liked. I am happy to report this one is even better. It provides all sorts of useful information. It does need an Internet connection to work. My biggest problem is insuring my battery will last. Before using this app I just charged over night but now I can't do that. My solution is to keep the charger near my chair when watching TV and top off the watch while I don't need it. The watch needs 2 hours to charge completely but I notice the state of the charge and can usually top it off with no problem and still keep the exercise data ok. You do need to verify the times each day and sometimes I have to edit them a bit but overall it works ok.

Great app, with one small complaint…. The value of this app is amazing for what you get. I have the free version paired with anApple Watch and it gives me slightly more information than Samsung Health paired with a Galaxy Watch. My only real complaint is that the sleep tracking works in five-minute increments. For example, the app will show I fell asleep at 12:05 am and woke up at 7:25 am…I know for a fact that I woke up at 7:28 today. I’m sure the difference is minuscule, but I find it a little annoying that other sleep tracking apps works to the minute and this one doesn’t. But don’t let that deter you from using the app. I still think this is one of the best free options available on the App Store.

Phenomenal App !. I have never left a review on an app before. I love and use this app daily and felt the need to show it the love it deserves. It blows my mind how accurate this sleep tracker is. You don’t have to tell it when you are going to sleep - it just knows and trust me, it knows ! I used the free membership for awhile but loved it so much I upgraded to premium and now love getting my Sleep Report card. It’s totally worth it! Seeing my sleep results really shows me how my daily choices affect my sleep and overall well-being. Thank you for creating such an accurate, user friendly app that we can use as a tool to improve our lives !

Inconsistent and Not helpful. I’ve been using the SleepWatch app going on my second year. The first thing I noticed was that your sleep rating would change for no explainable reason. There’s no reasoning for a lower high score. It just gives you some number that does not help you it would be good if they gave you advice on how you can raise the rating. Or how it’s impacted. The real problem with the app is a recently provided an update to the app and it’s completely changed how their tracking your sleep. If you move around at night a little bit it tracks you now as being awake. So I’ve had no change in sleep habits and all of a sudden my scores have gone from the 700s to the 300s and if I look at my SleepWatch disruption it changes the tracking method completely totally unreliable I’m not renewing this thing.

Data is fun. A request, please add the ability to use custom tags. I have over 200 nights tracked, and it’s obvious I sleep “OK” from the data. Every day feels normal because that’s what is normal to me. But when I actually take the recommendations and actively try to make sleep a priority, doooood I feel great! Who knew that alcohol is bad? Jokes, but this app has seriously made me realize how poorly I sleep when I’ve had a few drinks. It’s opened eyes to an area of health I have taken for granted. I will say that I have poor HRV, and this also made me realize I ignore my stress, which is pretty high for me with anxiety. My fight or flight system pretty much has a green light from when I wake up to bed time.

Unreliable. I like the app, the idea of it, but it definitely is not accurate at least not with my iPhone 11. When paired with My iPhone 8, I get very disrupted and only light sleep. I rarely get deep sleep and only for a few minutes when I do. This is probably more accurate, thought I hope I get more deep sleep than it records. When paired with my 11, I sleep like a baby, getting about 50% deep and light sleep. It usually notices when I get up to use the restroom but not if I just wake for a bit and go back to sleep. When it does know I get up, it usually thinks I go right back back to sleep even if I am awake for an extended period. Also, yesterday, I forgot to replace the watch after showering and it recorded the whole day as me ( light) sleeping when it was home and I was at work. You would at least think it would recorded it as deep sleep with no heartrate and no movement.

Good but could be better.. This app is okay. I’ve used it for a little while now and while it does track my time lying in bed, it doesn’t necessarily track my sleep. Last night my daughter came and got in bed with me at around 3 a.m. I woke up and got her back to sleep, then put her back in her bed. It said I had a disruption at 3:05 a.m. that lasted for 5 minutes, and that I slept for almost 8 hours. I know that I tossed and turned after I put her back in bed, and didn’t get very much sleep at all. I feel like it should have said that the disruption lasted longer than 5 minutes but I think it was considering it as sleep because I was still in bed. Maybe it would be better if it tracked movement from the watch as well? I like my Apple Watch but honestly FitBit has one over on the Apple Watch when it comes to tracking sleep and exercise.

More PEER COMPARISON TOOLS. The MAIN REASON I bought this app over the other top-ranked Sleep Tracking ones is bc it featured PEER GROUP COMPARISONS. Seeing how unhealthy I’m sleeping when compared to similar users was a HUGE MOTIVATOR for me to get my act together. The problem is that the comparison statistics are lost within the clunky interface. Sleep Insights are only good if they are clear and actionable. When I open my screen, I’m hit w a bunch of metrics that only vaguely make sense (unlike the Peer Comparison tool). Please make the interface CLEANER & CLEARER, with focus on the PEER COMPARISON type of statistics. Also, it would be extremely helpful if we could ADD OUR OWN TAGS thereby unlocking the full power of that feature. The aesthetic design itself really needs an upgrade. I do find the actually tracing to be VERY GOOD.

Most improved. Sleep watch has improved to the place I want it to be. I get all the information I wanted that I got from other non Apple apps in here. The one feature lacking that they fixed was estimation of actual time slept. A while back, about 6 months ago, their app couldn't accurately track my sleep time. If I woke up at 6:00 am then went to bed at 6:30 to 8:00 again, the app missed it. TODAY it captures that to give a very accurate assessment of ALL my sleep. Yeaaa! Also they are updating and adding more features that I didn't have in the non Apple apps. Hats off to Sleep Watch! Today it is a great app and I recommend it if you want to improve your sleep habits or just find out how really crappy your sleep really is.

Yes. But.... I’ve try if you sleep aps and sleep watch is by far my favorite. I’ve tried some that say they predict REM and obviously I don’t know for sure, but that has felt very wrong to me and I tend to move around when I sleep. This was just adding to my sleep anxiety. As a psychologist I understand how important a variable heart rate rhythm is so I’m interested in that data and it’s easily accessible and sleep watch. As a psychologist I understand how important a variable heart rate and rhythm is so I’m interested in that data and it’s easily accessible in Sleep Watch. Its synced easily and been easy to set up and use. The tags are interesting because their titles help me things I might not even think about. The issue I have that would make this app perfect for me is I’d like to be able to write a note about the night - basically my own sleep tag (which is available in other apps). It seems to make a huge difference in my sleep if I eat oatmeal at night before bed vs something sweet or dairy. There are other odds and ends I’d like to track as well. I keep thinking this has to already built into the app but if it is, I sure can’t find it.

Consistency could be improved. I don’t know the answer to this problem but I’ll give you the feedback anyway. I tried to give the feedback through the app but the “Send” button was disabled. 😏🤔 One of the main reasons for me not fully liking Sleep Watch to the point that I want to subscribe to the Premium features is that I find that it is not the most reliable program. Quite often it reminds me to enter how rested I felt the next morning, and then around noon it reminds me to enter how fatigued I felt during the day. However this does not always happen. Some days it does not prompt me for either input with no change in either the watch or the phone. It is like if it just appears to forget to remind me. I have to remember to go open the app and enter this information. It is as if I am a servant to the phone app. On those occasions there is nothing there recorded for the previous night’s sleep until I pull down to Refresh. Aside from that it appears to be okay. Reliability in doing its job has to improve before I actually buy the Premium version. Nagging me to do this does not help. -- SleepWatch for iOS version 7.1.4 (build 7.1.4.0) using iPhone11,8 (iOS 15.6.1)

You just lost a customer. I have enjoyed sleep watch for sometime now since I have had an Apple Watch for a number of years and think it is informative and well set up but today I got an ad that would not go away unless I subscribed monthly or per year for information that I am not interested in tracking. I signed up for the trial period so that I could get rid of the ad, but intend to cancel in five days and cancel the app as well. That kind of coercion is unacceptable to me. I will just find another free app and learn what it tracks and how to use it. I’m sorry that you have gotten so blatant, because I did like using your app for sleep tracking and needed no more information than the free version provided . monthly charges do mount up and as a eighty year old professional artist with no other retirement income in sight still painting and selling to close the gap between social security and reality, I am really quite angry…

I really love this app, but I’m having issues lately!. This is literally the first review I ever made on an app. I really love this app, it has helped me a lot with my sleep schedule, but I have noticed that since iOS 14 was release (with the sleep tracking feature) it seems like the data from both things is overlapping and now I have no accurate readings in my sleep. Let’s say that if I slept 7 hours the night before the app only recorded 4 hours and the other 3 hours are 1 hour intervals simply saying “no data”. Is there anything I can do to fix it? I’ve tried to block the Apple Watch feature in the Health app so SleepWatch is the priority app but it didn’t work. Besides from that I really think it’s a good app!

App always just works low maintenance easy to understand not over complicated. This app is great. Makes suggestions about sleep times and gives data in a no frills way that is not overcomplicated. I can visually see when I slept better by looking at the heart rate graph. I use a cpap machine and I can actually see on the graph when apneas happen. And when it’s time to change my masks my heart rate tends to be higher. This app gives me great feedback. You can almost use this app to diagnose sleep apnea. I have suggested it to 3 friends who don’t sleep well then they saw their resting heart rate then got diagnosed with sleep apnea. This app is one I rely on daily. Please keep a lot of the free portions free! That’s what makes this app so useful.

Best on the market… just needs to some nap features.. Overall, I think this is the best app on the market. It works well and the advise it gives is sound. I love that it warned me to pay attention tonight since I tend to wake up less rested on Fridays. I would give it a fifth star if it accounted for naps. Naps less than an hour or greater. Right now it only looks for over an hour. I use other apps for this now but I think there is valuable data to be gathered via napping. Did I nap for 45 minutes and feel rested? What is my best amount of time to set aside for a nap? Do naps mid-afternoon impact that nights sleep? Great product folks and I’m happy to pay for it. I hope some of the future enhancements include those naps.

Great app, few requests. I really love this app, although I’ve only used it one night. But I love that you don’t have to open the app to start it. I’m also impressed the recording worked decently well despite my phone charger being one that I set my phone on vertically so that my phone is resting on the speakers. If only the app could differentiate between mine and my dogs snores (I’m told we both do). Two requests. I would like to be able to add my own tags to sleep. The ones I would like to add are the use of an anti-anxiety as a sleep aide (periodic use but I’m also curious how it affects my sleep), and incorporation of the moon cycles. I often cannot sleep during the full moon. Unless the moon cycle is there and I just haven’t found it yet.

Buy At Your Own Risk. This is not at the developers but if you get the trial Apple will charge you before the expiration date and will not refund you when you call them out. If you contact the developers, they will send you back to Apple and again…that won’t do any good. The app itself was a little too difficult for me and served me no purpose so based on just that I would give a neutral 3 stars. Dear Developers, I would suggest you find out why Apple is not refunding and charging before the expiration because this is a reflection on and of you. Just an FYI: the feedback delivered from the developer is not that far away from Apple. Apple will tell you “no” and the developer will send multiple templates all saying the exact thing “Go and talk to Apple.” I understand that developers can’t have much insight into Apple processes but it’s your app and name on the line…it would seem like you would want to push back on what it is you can’t and can do.

Best Sleep Tracker Out There. Honestly, I nearly had a panic attack when this app couldn’t open a few months ago. I had to venture through the App Store and find a replacement. I tried to find something that gave me the satisfaction of this app, but they all came short. When Sleep Watch finally fixed the bug, I was so happy! I love how I can check my sleep with just my Apple Watch as long as it’s connected to the Internet. Other tracking apps wouldn’t allow that. I also like the insights, graphics and overall detail of each report. No sleep tracking app has all that and if they do it’s unappealing. I look forward to sleeping well just to get a report now! I highly recommend this to anyone wondering about their sleep cycle.

Great app. This app is very well done. The data is laid out in an easy to navigate way and the visualizations are perfect. It used the restedness questionnaire to recommend I get an extra 30 minutes of sleep a night which was really helpful. My one qualm is that I can’t delete old data. When I got the app, it used data from the previous one or two weeks, but I didn’t wear my watch to bed during that time so the data it used is extremely inaccurate. By the time I tried to delete the data, it wouldn’t let me, and customer support confirmed that there’s currently no way to delete data over two weeks old. Great app, but delete the old, bad data as soon as you install it.

Snore Tracker?. I’ve been a satisfied user of the SleepWatch app for about 3 years now. Really satisfied with the free results of my sleep metrics. I was really excited to see that they added the Snore Tracking feature with a Premium subscription! So I signed up for the free 7-day trial, ensured the app and watch were all set to capture my snoring events. Nope. Nothing! Can’t find anything in their app they mentions anything about snoring. Then went to the reviews and see that only a limited number of folks would get this feature? Focused on the ones that don’t use the watch only the iPhone?! I feel the old bait and switch here and am disappointed in SleepWatch for rolling out the feature, but really not. I’ll probably let the free trial expire and cancel the Premium feature (that seem limited.

Worth the download. I downloaded this app originally, not expecting much out of it but , I actually was surprised about how much it tells you and helps you sleep. All you do is wear your watch when you sleep. At first I thought this would be a problem due to battery but my series 3 battery will usually last 2 days and 1 night without a charge but I found out that if you just put your watch on the charger when you’re getting ready it usually brings it up to a full charge in the 30 min it takes to get ready. But the app tells you best things light when you were in a light sleep and when you were in a deeper sleep. Also let’s you know around what time you should be going to bed to get a deeper sleep based on your body’s sleep history.

Identify Bad sleep habits. After installing and to make full use on f the free version I granted access to my iPhones limited health data. Seemed like a minor concession to get real-time biometrics from the Apple Watch into the sleep app. I did the same thing for my wife but she sleeps with No issues unlike me. After adjusting to wearing the watch to bed, the tracking data started coming in. Really intriguing to map its feedback to daytime evening activities and where they disrupt sleep. Coffee, late night screen time, alcohol, kids setting off the house alarm, etc. In a perfect world on a calm night, the sleep app depicts a great nights sleep, and then when other habits and events disrupt, it clearing shows that and the impacts. Give it a few months and I may change some habits.

Too many ads. This used to be an easy, reliable app. Now there’s entirely too many ads that pop up every 5 seconds. I understand monetizing your product and wanting to profit, but this is overkill. UPDATE: the dev’s response is just an explanation of how premium membership works and how the no premium Ad heavy version works. As if I didn’t understand why they have ads. The point is not that ads exist, it’s that every time you click anything or refresh anything, you get to go on this fun adventure of video ads that have a certain time requirement for you to watch before being able to close the ad and see your sleep. Less than a year ago it was great, an occasional ad would pop up and you could close it super quick and get on with your life. Now you have to dedication a sold 5-10 minutes just to wait for the ads to finish loading and play a fun game of “where’s the x/close button”

Great if you pay for premium. I paid for premium for a few years and it was great, loved everything about it. Apple Watch integration is fantastic. But then I wanted to export my sleep data from the last few years and work with it on my own, as a data scientist. Their privacy policy says that you can get your data out in “a commonly used file format” but by that they don’t mean CSV, JSON, or XML. No, what they mean is a PDF report card that only goes back only 30 days. So the tags I’ve inputted and the SleepWatch scores are not available in bulk. Sleep times *are* available, if you wanna extract them from the Apple health report yourself (so no value added from this app). When I took this up with support and got a final “no”, I cancelled my premium. It’s been app spam ever since, I can hardly use the thing without getting bombarded with aRe YoU sUrE u DoNt WaNt PrEmIuM?

Not helpful. Due to the inaccuracy of the data, it’s not all the useful of an app to have. It’s neat to see some of the information but that’s about it. I find the “did you know” and light bulb suggestions to be quite annoying and unhelpful. I reported consuming alcohol a few times and now literally every other day, “DiD yOu kNoW oN NiGhTs YoU cOnSuMeD AlCoHoL....”. I had a lightbulb this morning that stated, “consider increasing your sleep time goal”. 99.9% of the time I feel “completely rested” with an avrg of 7hrs and 45mins but because of those rare times I haven’t, it wants to tell me “if you get 8 hrs and 15 mins worth of sleep your chance of waking up feeling rested increases 100%”..... how is that helpful.... and they some how feel justified in $3.99/ mo for some other meaningless information.... I’lol just stick with complaining about the free version.

Works when it feels like it (updated, updated). I have never gotten a full month tracked. A few times is because I fell asleep without my watch on. But for the most part it’s because SleepWatch decided it didn’t want to track. It’ll stop tracking until I go into the app, then it will work for the next week or so then do it again. It worked almost perfect when I first got this app. I’ve had it for almost a year. I don’t recommend this to anyone who wants to track their sleep but not check it every day. I haven’t made any adjustments to the sensitivity. I also have everything up to date and permissions. It seems like it stops working, they fix the bug, than it happens again in just a few weeks. Please find another app. Customer service has spoken with me multiple times and it’s the same. “We are aware of the issue and it will be fixed in the next update.” How about you do something that actually works?

Informative. I really enjoy this app, so much so that I decided to try out the paid version for the more detailed report. I am still working on that as you need so many nights of sleep tracked to generate the report. Not 100% sure I’ll keep using the paid version because the biggest feature I’d like to take advantage of I am unable to utilize. I want to use the smart alarm to wake up during light sleep, as I’ve used this feature in the past with other apps and I do feel more rested if I am doing that. Unfortunately you have to set it up on your watch, and for some reason the app doesn’t appear on my watch as one I can put on it. There is no way to set up this feature on my phone, so it’s not worth paying for if I cannot get the feature to work.
