I would love to give this app 5 stars, but deserves no stars. When it works, its amazing app. I cant say enough what it does for us that have resound hearing aids. Those that know me and have hearing aids of different makes… are jealous and want them with this app……….BUT…. We have received a iso update to 15.4. And that was the end of a fantastic app… it does not connect to hearing aids. I email support and was give a direction to delete and reinstall the hearing aids (thumbs up for quick response on the weekend) well all went well, until the next day. Same thing, would not connect…. Removed everything again and reinstalled… worked again until next day….. same thing. WE need a update !!!!!! To the app… we spend thousands on these hearing aids … you would think you would support us by keeping software up to date!!!!

Been satisfied until now…. I have had my hearing aids since July 2020, and have been using this app with no problem. Just within the last couple of months while on the phone, one of my hearing aids will continuously go in and out, and sometimes in the morning they will not connect to the app. I find it quite annoying that all of a sudden this is happening. I also find it quite annoying that 99% of the responses to the consumer is to contact you about the problem. Why can’t you post it here so other people that are having these problems can read it also? It’s one thing to pay almost $6,000 for hearing aids but then you have an app that doesn’t work…that stinks, y’all need a new IT team!

Excellent , With a Couple of Annoyances. 1. The dark background with red letters, etc., is impossible to see in daylight. Black on white, or white on black, depending on the iPhone display setting. 2. A simple mute button so the hearing aids can be shut off. Why? In very load situations, especially music, loud music causes the heading aids to distort, or simply be too loud to enjoy. Yes, the individual volumes can be turned down, but resetting to unsaved settings mean they have to be readjusted when things return to normal. 3. See number 1, then see it again.

App connects intermittently, but.. After the last iPhone 10 upgrade the app no longer works. It finds the hearing aids then sends you to settings paired ok then can’t get out of the app. Dump the app and starts all over again. I had already performed all the steps suggested by the developers and that did fix the problem, however the app lost contact with my hearing aids the next day and I had to go through all the steps again. Will wait and see. Having I said that I have been using 3 or 4 generations of resound hearing aids and the various apps. My hearing loss is severe and I couldn’t get along without them. I am very great full for the advancements in hearing aid technology. The latest Apple update seems to have fixed the connection problems.

Find My Hearing aids is worthless. The first time I lost a hearing aid, it was be a sushi was trying to adjust it and it dropped next to our dog, who was sitting below me. She looked down, and I leaned over to find it, to no avail. After looking for it for an hour, it hit me that the dog could have gulped it down thinking it was food or a toy. The only way to tell was to turn off my other hearing aid and take her for a walk. This stupid app was no help. The red bars kept going back and forth and the left bar seemed to get longer as we got further away. I held the phone down and the darn thing was red. I paid $406 (Christmas day at an animal hospital) to find out she didn’t have it. Now the left aid is missing. The little indicator says both are here. The red lines just go back and forth. I turned My other hearing off to see if it made a difference. This app is worthless, and I am more than frustrated. By the way, the first time the hearing aid got lost, I did find it, where it landed in a decoration. Don’t laugh.

Latest update needs work. I loved the app until the latest update. I have tinnitus in one ear. At my last audiologist appointment I asked my doctor to turn the tinnitus masking to a high volume. After I left the office I discovered that the high masking volume led to stress for me. I was able to adjust to a lower masking volume in the app. This worked for months. With the latest update, I lost the ability to adjust the masking volume. I’ve contacted my audiologist and the help number for the app but have not been offered solutions that will work. I’ve been told that several clients reported similar problems. The CSR said I will just have to wait for another app update. I’m hoping the next update comes quickly and allows masking volume adjustment.

Don’t buy if you want to use the app. I have had my hearing aids for 3 years and had nothing but trouble when I am near my device. They will constantly change settings with no interaction. One hearing aid will be on restaurant and the other all around or any two combos of settings and volume settings. I go from office settings to meetings to factory floor and can never seem to use the setting I select before entering that environment. They will auto switch within minutes. Then I try to fix and people think I’m a phone addict. I have tried every combination of settings on every forum post and the problem still exists. My audiologist even sent them in to be checked out. I bought a new phone. I tried forgetting the device every morning and reinstalling the app. Anything and everything they or someone online suggested. After 3 years I finally removed the app and was going to ask my doctor to deactivate my Bluetooth. Now the problem is gone. I can use the IOS settings and no problem. I think the resound app was fighting my phone. Ahhhh! Three years of frustration. I wish the company would have suggested this fix. I will ALWAYS talk people out of this brand. Love my doctor but hate the customer service from this company! Worst 5k ever spent in my life

Resound 3D. I got new Resound Omnia5 hearing aids at the end of March, 2023. I really appreciate the ability to adjust the sound levels on the fly and the ability to have programs for specific locations. The problems I have are 1) the hearing aids intermittently lose sync with the app while streaming an audiobook when walking our dogs. Sometimes just the act of turning my head slightly brings it back online. It can be either one, not just one specific side, forcing me to “reboot” that particular ear. 2) the app also loses sync intermittently during the day forcing a reboot. That is noticeable when I hear an incoming ping notice in one ear only. Sometimes I can just reboot that one ear and sometimes I have to reboot both ears. FYI - I put them in between 0630 and 0830 and remove them between 2100 and 2300 each day. I also use an iPhone 14 Pro. These two problems also happened on my prior iPhone 12 Pro so….

Painful struggle to get things to work. The amount of fiddling to make things work is excruciating! I’ve been using Evoke for the past three years and never had this level of frustration getting them to work with their app. The app sees that the HA are connected to the phone (iOS 15.2, HA report up to date) but I have to restart and restart to finally get the app to connect. The it switches between programs on its own. Connecting to TV streamer is another wild ride (why does the phone have to be involved with the TV streamer? That seems to make no sense to me either. Anyhow I’m in a trial period and if this continues the $6,000 experiment will most like fail.

My new HAs. I haven’t had new hearing aids in years and I’ve been so positively overwhelmed with my new aids I’m going to be singing some major sweet notes in this review. I wish I hadn’t waited so long for my new hearing aids but I’m so very glad that I got them now. They work so much better than any other hearing aids I’ve purchased that not only am I happy, but I also don’t have a single negative issue to suggest your company work on improvements. These hearing aids are the most amazing hearing aids I’ve ever used. For the first time in my deaf life I’m not unhappy about being a hearing aid user. Thank you for making hearing aids that are comfortable, easy to use, connected to my cell phone, and what I love the most; controlling the volume in my head and adjustments (nobody else can hear what I’m listening to, tv or phone calls). Thank you for making my disease so much easier to deal with out in the world and for using on the phone. 👍

UPDATE for IOS 15.6. August 2022- UPDATE for iPhone 13 Pro MAX, not 1 problem switching to new iPhone & iOS 15. UPDATE to iPhone 12 Pro Max - 13 Nov - After switch to a new phone had to reinstall thru iPhone (using Apple directions) & reload Resound App. Took 3 tries before everything clicked. During process Resound App would not come out of Demo Mode even when trying several times. Works 100% now..... Updated iPhone XS Max to iOS 14. App kept on working without me having to make any type of adjustments. 👍 Update 29 Apr 2020 -App still working 100% time prefect with iPhone XS MAX.

No hearing aid gives you normal hearing, but this one is as good as it gets.. They’re still far from giving you normal hearing, but the Bluetooth connection to the iPhone certainly enhances aspects of hearing such as the TV streamer and the induction coil in public places, the restaurant mode (sometimes), and definitely hearing on the iPhone where hearing can approach normal hearing. It’s probably the best the industry has to offer. Their service is excellent through Costco and special help center for the electronic applications.

Great hearing aids. I love my Smart 3D hearing aids. The different settings are wonderful. I’m a musician and the music setting makes the music sound so much better to me! I like the background noise canceling option when there’s a lot of background noise. The outdoor setting allows me to hear the birds singing! I love the Bluetooth particularly for phone calls. Hearing the phone conversation directly in my ears when using my iPhone makes it so much easier to understand the conversation. It’s also wonderful to be able to recharge them overnight and not to replace batteries. I highly recommend Resound Smart 3D hearing aids.

The ReSound Smart3D app has changed my life.. These are my second set of Resound hearing aids. I rebuilt the first pair to keep as a spare. The app makes all the difference. I use it to stream phone calls directly to the Resound, stream podcasts, and adjust the profile for restaurants, all around, and music customized with a saved setting for my audio system. It just works. I could not be happier and I recommend Resound to everybody. My wife is happier, too. Don’t wait. Get the hearing aids while you are still young enough to enjoy them. You won’t be sorry.

Resync required multiple times after iOS update. Since the iOS update March 2022, I have had to resync my devices four times. Twice I did this while on the phone with Resound support. One selling point of these devices was the development of the Bluetooth connectivity specifically with Apple indicating a robust connection with iOS devices. This is very annoying especially when it happens when I’m away from the charger, a necessity for resyncing. My convo with support didn’t give any indication that active steps were being taken to remedy this. This is very annoying.

Constant connection issues. Once the HA are connected it seems fine but after charging the HA overnight the connection on one or both HA is lost. Then the hokey pokey begins. I usually just give up. Also, the charging case appears to be needed in any attempt to reconnect the HA to the app. That means one is to always have the charging case available at all times? Not taking it with me while out all day. Very disappointed and frustrating Update 02/05 hit or miss on phone connection. Most of the time one or the other will show up as disconnected. On the plus side had HA’s changed to control volune, right up, left down. Another minus, cannot answer a phone call bia the HA’s as I could with my Phonak HA’s. So if my iPhone is in another room I need to go find it to answer a call. If Phonak can. Answer via the aids, why not Resound? App is less than average. 3/27: the app rarely stays connected to the aids. Most every morning need to do the Resound hokey pokey, in case, out of case, settings, pair, in case, out of case, yada yada … ridiculous. Would like these hearing aids and the Phonak app which worked all the time. The developer response for the connection issue doesn’t provide any answer to the connection dropping issues. How to connect is explained in the app or other. I rarely use the app because of issues. As long as they stay connected to the iPhone is all the matters.

Not Impressed. New to hearing aids and was able to get resound top of the line only because my insurance covered 80%. I was expecting much better sound quality. I don’t really know if it’s the hardware or the app that needs work. I don’t see why a better equalizer wasn’t created for the app . 3 bands don’t come close to addressing all the nuances of sound coming at us on a daily basis at work and at play. So I’d suggest that the developers start working on a 10 band equalizer. Also I think the hearing aid volume controls for both ears, as well as the background noise, should work more like a light dimmer switch and gradually change the levels instead of jumping from one level to the next. In general I expected more considering the $6000 cost. If I had actually laid out that amount out of pocket I would have returned them. IMO.

Support for apple watch. I am on my 3rd pair of Resounds. Resound One this time. In general, I love the app and that is one of the reasons I coninue with resounds. However, I have noticed a problem with the apple watch connection and it appears to be worse with the Resound ones. I get them connected and they’re fine until they’re not. 2 days seems to be the amount of time they stay connected. i try turning bluetooth on and off, I restart the phone, I restart the app. This is really annoying. If I just leave it alone, the bluetoooth keeps trying to connect and drains the baterry. So, I uninstall and try agin later. The next day it usually connects. Please help.

Tech support. I would really like to have access to Resound Support - knowledgeable person on differences each Aide has unique to it, and have Support available for me to have discussion with. My Audiology care givers have never been fully competent with specific details on differences from one generation to another, just general information. We (Audiologist) did a face time once with a Resound specialist which was helpful and I’d like to access that level of info to make best decisions on my equipment settings. I’m still working as a Physical Therapist out patient setting and my hearing equipment is allowing me to continue working , last upgrade was to “One” which made good deal of difference and didn’t realize had been available over a year. Thank you, Mary

Apple app defect streaming TV. When streaming it is impossible to lower the sound volume when the network goes to commercial and jacks up the sound. They are capable of overriding the adjustment. Sound will completely turn off before the sound drops to a comfortable level. This makes it impossible to watch commercials when the sound is elevated. I like commercials. Many keep the sound volume high after the commercial and the same issues prevail until they lower the sound. The apple app needs to be fixed I believe. It is not a problem using the old native app from Resound and my old Resound hearing aids.

Allows easy control of my hearing aids, but…. The Smart 3D app works great except for one minor annoyance. Almost every time I start the app it asks for my consent to part A and part B of its user agreement. As if this wasn’t annoying enough as soon as you touch the app it asks for you to update your consent again! It continues in this loop until you touch the “No Thanks” button. I have gone through this loop 5 times before deciding that I had given the app more than enough consent. At that point the app seems to work fine.

Is it my phone or my hearing aids?. There are some nice features in the Resound app, but both of my hearing aids often don’t connect to the app. Sometimes they will connect in time, sometimes not. A restart of the phone will allow it to connect but then it will be back to just one connecting. My phone is an iPhone X and it is supposed to work with the app. I do not allow the app to always be on, as I don’t need it often. But if only on hearing aid is connected, I will only have streaming (phone or music) in that ear. Update- if I restart the phone both hearing aids will connect and the watch app will work. Unfortunately I have to restart ~ once a day! Time to fix this!!!

App stopped working…now it does!. As a judge who wears hearing aids in a busy, noisy court room, it is often necessary for me to be able to manually adjust volume, treble and bass depending on the level of ambient noise in the court room. Unfortunately, when an iOS update was installed my Resound app stopped working. After trying numerous times to reinstall the app, I contacted, via email, Resound customer service for help. They responded within 24 hours with directions on how to fix it… And it worked! I can’t say enough regarding Resounds quick response and clear directions … it was amazing and much appreciated. Thank you!

Love it, But…. This app is paired with my Resound hearing aids that I purchased at Costco. Everything has been great, until a month or so back when there was an update. At this time my hearing aids go whacky whenever Bluetooth is turned on, giving the app connection to the aids. I’ve been to Costco several times. The uninstalled and re-installed the app on my iPhone. I have uninstalled the app on my iPad and Apple Watch, but still my aids go whacky if Bluetooth is on and the app open on my iPhone. In my case it is the midrange and upper range that fluctuates wildly in amplification. Costco reps have seen this and say it is “haunted.” They are now saying that they have been getting reports from other people experiencing the same thing. At this time, I activate the app, make any adjustment that I want, and then turn off Bluetooth. I’m sure this will be fixed in a future update, because otherwise this app works great with my aids.

Worst hearing aides I’ve owned and the app is even worse. I’ve owned these hearing aides for nearly 2 years and they’re not even remotely close to being decent. Multiple times a week, and often multiple times a day, I’m forced to delete the app and start over. Even after doing this 4-5 times, they refuse to connect to Bluetooth. Sick of messing with them in all honesty. I should not have to uninstall, and install the app day in and day out to use these $5k hearing aides. Maybe, just maybe the app, and aides will work for 2 days maximum before I’m forced to do this routine of deleting and reinstalling. Even then my chances of them working for 3 days straight are less than 20%. I would never recommend these aides to anyone. You’d expect with todays technological advancements, something as simple as Bluetooth connections wouldn’t be this difficult. I’m in desperate need of these to hear, but all I get is a loud squealing noise with no ability to control them through this app. Never again will I waste my money on these….never!

Constantly disconnected from my hearing aids!. I love the hearing aids and having the different app settings for different environments. My only issue with the app, and it’s a big one, is that the hearing aids disconnect from the app several times a day! How frustrating! I have to power off my phone and turn it back on for them to reconnect. Can’t this be fixed?!!! Update: I did receive a helpful response from the developer that suggested I turn off and then turn back on the Bluetooth function as a way to quickly reconnect my hearing aids. But i will add this disconnection issue happens all the time even while listening to something on my phone. It isn’t because the blue tooth function was “asleep” and hadn’t been in use. So this seems to be a problem with the app that needs to be addressed.

Working great now. I complained about the app not connecting with my hearing aids and I was totally blown away with the amazingly fast response offering help. The aids are working very well at this point. I wish all the apps gave you this response time when you are having problems. I love these hearing aids! I’ve had a number of different brands and styles, but these are by far the best I’ve had. They are largely problem free. Even when the aids weren’t connecting to the app they were still connecting to my phone and I still had most of the functionality. It was just less convenient. I’m totally impressed!

Great fidelity but missing programs. Overall this device and technology has been amazing. The only disappointment is a reference to programs that don’t exist. The smart 3D app shows an icon for outdoors, restaurant, watching TV… and none exist in the phone (that I can find at any rate). I’m not talking about creating a ‘favorite’ - which can be done… but these appear only as a star, not a different program icon that the app tutorials show. Perhaps creative, marketing and UX weren’t aligned. (You should also be able to see the descriptor labels for ‘favorites’ in the top nav; they only appear when the carousel is being moved (and disappear when it is still.)

Works for me!. The Costco Audiologist initially recommended another brand. Since it was my first hearing aid adventure I was learning. After three months I returned them because the software did not function properly. Also, I know now that they were not comfortable. I’ve been wearing these GN resound hearing aids for a year now with no issues, and will buy another pair in two years when our insurance plan covers the cost. I love that they go in the charger every night and are ready when I wake up. The software allows me to cut background noise in a restaurant. Also, I can hit a speech clarity switch at night when I’m watching TV and it hones into it. It’s been a great purchase for me.

Latest IOS update. I’d used the app successfully since receiving my hearing aids over 3 years ago, and had no problems until after the most recent IOS update to v15.4. Immediately afterward, the app was no longer detecting the devices. After a few failed attempts to re-sync them, I deleted the program, restarted the phone, downloaded the app again, but synchronization still didn’t work. I’ve made multiple attempts since then, and even cancelled and re-synced them with the iPhone itself (under “Accessibility” in “Settings”), but the app either doesn’t detect them at all, or only sees the device for my right ear.

Quick Access Suggestion. There are times when using my hearing aid that I want to turn off the “streaming to device” feature, but to do this I have to navigate into my settings then accessibility then down into the hearing aid to turn it off, which is not very convenient or intuitive. this app provides a quick access feature to various controls by either clicking the side button three times or within my quick links by swiping from the top right corner, but the quick access panel does not present the streaming to device button. it would be so great if that button could be added to the quick access panel. I think that feature is urgently needed and will make this the perfect app. Thank you for listening :)

Connectivity issues. While I do love my hearing aides, I am terribly frustrated with the connectivity issues. Only one hearing aide will connect most of the time. I go through the process of uninstalling the app, reinstalling the app and usually have to repeat that several times. This happens 2-3 times a week. I am very dependent upon both hearing aides for phone conversations so this is getting to be a huge drawback for me. I’m thinking of returning them and finding a set that is better with connectivity. I did try several brands but Resound was the best for my hearing and I am saddened about having to make the choice to return them.

Unfortunately. The Resound One aids I was fitted with 3 weeks ago were not much better than Resound aids I had purchased over 3 years ago from Costco, so I will be returning them - and hopefully getting credit since I was told by the Resound corporate location that these were a ‘new and improved’ technology and would out perform my 3 year old Costco aids. Please note that I’ve also tried two other major hearing aid brands and didn’t find those to be much better, which is why I decided to try the Resound One’s. My audiologists have told me that I have severe and profound hearing loss, so this process only confirms that there doesn’t appear to be a technology that can adequately compensate for my hearing loss. I believe my only option at this point may be to look at a Cochlear implant in the near future. Although I plan to try another major brand aid that claims to have a technology that allows those with severe and profound hearing loss to be able to hear and understand individuals wearing ‘masks’ - which seems very encouraging, so we’ll see how this trial goes. Sorry for the long review. JS

As while pretty good. I have been without the hearing aids for repair about a month total and I have had them since February. There is something in the plastic that makes my ears break out and have to go without them for a few days. They make my ears sweat. When they are working they work great and I love them, but when they make my ears itch and I have to remove them for a time I can’t hear!! I think I need 2 pairs one of the old fashioned kind and these for when I go out. But I can’t afford 2 pairs.

Poor connectivity. I love the concept of this app and the ease to change my sound settings. My dr told me this app gets low ratings-now I know why. I have had my hearing aids about 3 weeks. In that time, I have deleted app, reinstalled, repaired 4 times. I reboot my phone daily to try and get BOTH aids to connect. I disconnect Bluetooth hoping that helps. Nope. Rarely, do I have both aids connected. I have checked that my phone is on your compatible list. I have the most recent download. Glad I’m not paying for this app. A friend has starkly aids. He doesn’t have near the issues I do with reSound app. Is it the app or my hearing aids???

App worked with five year old hearing aids; much better with my new hearing aids from Costco. The app didn’t work well for years. Finally tried the newest update and it works like a champ. Even works on my Apple watch. Five days ago, I got new resound hearing aids from Costco. The app has even more functionality now with the new hearing aids than it did with my five year old hearing aids. I’m very impressed -Costco audiologist/technician set me up with a fourth hearing menu protocol so that I can use over the ear headphones and listen to music or my TV via Bluetooth without any feedback in my hearing aids. It’s wonderful sound that I haven’t had in years. This app is highly recommended and easy to use.

Not perfect. My first pair of behind the ear resounds I bought three years ago. They worked fine for a while and then they started fading in and out with sound correction. I finally got my provider to send them in and there was a controversy Esther were there there was a problem. But I finally convinced them that there was and apparently they tested it for that and I got I believe a whole new unit inside my old ones was probably updated. It has worked quite well. I still have problems hearing but it’s probably not the hearing aid it’s probably just my physical condition. My big problem is they no longer will communicate with my iPad and only my iPhone I’ve tried rebooting putting on another app all to no avail I will put up with that, but it’s not the best situation.

Unreliable app. This is my second pair of ReSound hearing aids. I had endless Bluetooth connection trouble with the first set of battery powered aids. They required frequent rebooting the iPhone 13 and deleting/reinstalling the app. So after several years I bought new rechargeable ReSound aides hoping for more reliable connectivity. The hearing quality with this set is better and I appreciate not needing to replace batteries. However, the Bluetooth connectivity is still a big problem! The aids frequently lose connection, usually one or the other and will not connect without placing them in the charging station. And the last two days, both have lost connection by noon. I am able to reconnect by rebooting the iPhone. These are very expensive hearing aids and the control features accessible via the app are integral to making the aids function most effectively. These aids are still in the trial period and I will carefully consider whether to return them and try another brand. Very disappointing!

Great app, but a bit buggy at times. This app works great with my new hearing aids and I’m really thankful to the developers who made this. There are a few bugs that I think need to be worked out: 1. Sometimes when switching between different programs, it splits the audio channels and they are at different levels even though I had them at mono setting before 2. Sometimes the Apple Watch app does not connect to my hearing aids, even after resetting my Apple Watch and the app One other feedback that would be nice is if I could change the icon for a program setting to something else. For example, if I want to rename the “Restaurant” setting to a different program, it would be nice to change the icon for it as well. Thank you! Update: Thank you, that fixed the issue. Also, the latest app update works a lot faster and it feels much snappier. Thank you so much!

Unreliable. Terrible to connect to iPhone. I’ve been using this app for a year now. It works OK for a few weeks and then it doesn’t. This has been my experience with the app since the day I first purchased my hearing aids. Some days the smart 3-D app refuses to connect to the hearing aids, other days it works. I understand many users have expressed the same difficulties. In my opinion the resound smart 3-D app is a failure. It’s also very limited in some obvious features it lacks. Users should be able to EQ each ear independently but cannot. For the hearing impaired that would seem to be a pretty basic feature, but apparently for the engineers at Resound it’s too much for them to bother providing to their customers. $6400 for hearing aids and this is the poor quality of workmanship you get from Resound. Pathetic.

Battery drain-solved?. Update to update: Developer I DID contact you on July 9 (this is July 17) but have not received a response. So many people are complaining about this on Reddit etc. — seems this app worked fine until IOS 15.4, some report. UPDATE: I deleted this app but still saw Apple Watch battery drain of 20% over every three hours. I turned off pretty much all notifications , raise to wake, etc. unpaired the watch from my phone, unpaired the aids from my phone etc. What seems to have worked is a HARD RESET of my watch. Once you unpair the watch from your phone it backs everything up and you can easily restore after the hard reset (which erases the watch and sets to factory defaults). The aids have been on almost three hours now and watch is at 92%. Yesterday after three hours was at 82%. I can only think the Resound 3d app left something running on the Apple Watch, (even though I deleted it) which has gone away with the hard reset. It’s too bad because the app was great and I’d really like to use it but like to use my Apple Watch more. Original post: I never had to charge my Apple Watch during the day but this app seems to have deleterious effects on battery drain on both the Apple Watch and the iPhone. Google it, many complaints. It’s a very nice app but needs to tame Bluetooth so it isn’t a battery vampire. Already unpaired and repaired the Watch, really considering deleting the app.

Resound Feedback. I had Phonak hearing aids and needed to upgrade to a single hearing aid that I could link to my I phone with my two year old Cochlear America CI. Resound was recommended by my audiologist because it is the only one that can be linked with my Cochlear America implant. I wanted it linked in order to control a single hearing aid. The resound is okay. for sound but my two month old Resound hearing aid will not stay Bluetooth connected to my I phone 12. It stayed connected the first month. I have to Bluetooth repair it daily. It drops out the pairing when turned off and will not auto repair. Today it won’t pair at all. The I-phone 12 states it is not a compatible hearing device. I have no issues with my CI and Bluetooth connections. I turn the CI off to try to connect my Resound hearing aid with no luck. I have tried turning Bluetooth and phone off and on several times and I can’t get it connected to my I phone. I’m not pleased with the Resound hearing aid. Had better luck with my Phonak hearing aids. I also can not use Resound Relief now that the Redound hearing aid won’t Bluetooth connect to my I-phone 12.

Frustrating app. This app works only part of the time. It is the most frustrating app I have. It continually drops part of my aids. Then one must close and reopen the app. Sometimes this will work. At other times I have to shut down my iPhone and start over to get it to work. I have an iPhone 13promax and am running ios15.7. Update: having updated to 16.1 and having started over pairing my aids things seem to be working much better. Occasionally something will drop but things are much improved. Thank you for responding to my problem

Best thing available. Over the years since my discharge from the US Army,, my hearing has degraded significantly. Per my VA audiologist Resound is the most powerful aid on the market today. The app works pretty well and the interface between smartphones and TV is great!!! The only criticism is the length of time it takes to connect to the smartphone when I need to make a change…. At times I am Streaming a podcast and someone walks up at work to ask me something. If I am Streaming to both ears the. I have to hit pause and wait for it to take effect…. I have since learned to set up streaming to one ear only ( in smartphone settings) and that works better. I am nonfunctional without aids so this app is essential for me to Maintain any sort of quality of life in this modern electronic world….: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Not recognizing my hearing aids. I have lynx 3D aids. The previous smart 3d version suddenly stopped recognizing one aid. Tried resetting multiple times, new batteries etc. Finally deleted the app intending to reload from App Store. That led me to this update which won’t recognize either aid and offers no help. I went to my local audiologist who knows a simple adjustment to my iPhone accessibility settings that solved the problem and made me a lot happier with the software. A lot of user frustration could be eliminated by you posting problems and solutions in a readily accessible place. The help section of the app is laughable but could easily be made much better. It's all about customer service.

Good but buggy. In the past I have given this app 4 or 5 stars but I just got some new Omnia aids and noticed 2 problems. Let say I create a program called Comfort from the Universal base program. When I switch back to the universal base program it doesn’t leave the setting from the created Comfort program but moves them to the Universal program. Why bother if you can’t keep the setting from the created program from moving over to the base program and then you have to move them back to the default in the base program all of the time. Second, you can not place the Resound app icon directly on the Home face of the Apple Watch. You can still find it on the crown with like 40 other icons but it is no longer immediately accessible. Could use more preset programs to choose from. Also, please add more spots for the presets.

Resound Omnia. Like the sound quality and was of use with the Smart 3D App. The connection aid via the app could be better. But it is a marked improvement from previous Resound hearing aid using the Smart App. I am still skeptical of the hearing in background noise which boast 150% improvement. The hearing aid provider did not know anything about the setting and would expected Resound to have some training or video on how this feature/setting works or how to program it. The tv streamer which I purchased is a game changer. I’ve always had closed caption appear on the TV to capture all the sounds. With the streamer on it is unbelievable the sound quality through the aid. I can turn down the volume on the tv so it’s not loud for others. I control the volume in my app and enjoy television better than the past 40 years. Same can be said for the sound quality for talking on the phone. The Bluetooth technology has come a long way in helping hearing impaired hear well using mobile devices. No more feedback pressing the phone to your ear. The sound is clear and concise. Rechargeable option is a bonus as you charge for three hours at night or while you sleep and you get a full day use. Plus no more buying expensive batteries. Bonus improvement to the design. I would highly recommend Omnia to anyone. Only reason it’s four stars instead of five is to understand the noise background improvement claim. They get that squared away and easily five stars.

Could use a lot of work. The app has to be deleted and reloaded onto the phone quiet often due to connectivity issues with the hearing aids. Also there should be a feature that resets your changes to the volume or bass after you stop streaming music or a video. If I make changes while watching Netflix to the things like the bass or volume, I have to go in and change them back to how I had them set for my hearing own my own. Yes you can save favorites but music and videos need different adjustments to sound levels sometimes so making favorites isn’t a good solutions. I have used other apps for the Evolv hearing aid brand that would automatically reset your settings when you stopped streaming and it was way more convenient. I love the hearing aids but I am thinking of returning them because of how much work the app needs and it’s the main way you control the hearing aids. Definitely needs improvements.

3D App. The hearing aids work well, but the Smart 3D app needs L & R treble controls accessible to (this) user. (I know they exist but I can’t find them again.) Needs a quick master mute switch. Also needs a quick easy way to change iPhone audio output from hearing aids to phone speaker temporarily, as when playing a video to a friend. Needs more transparency for the user—and a “default” switch in case the user gets confused. I almost never use the app directly or change from its “All Around” program—just hit the iPhone’s side button three times and use the sliders that come up there. That’s MUCH better than digging into the app when trying to converse with someone. In any case, the aids and the app and the iPhone work nicely together generally—just not ideally yet.

Worst App. This is the worst app! Unreliable. If I had known the app was this bad, I would have requested a different brand from my audiologist. Even though the hearing aids show connected to my iPhone, they often don't connect to the app. Sometimes they will connect right away. Other times I have to go through the process of turning Bluetooth off and then back on again, shutting down the app, restarting the phone, turning the hearing aids off and then back on. Sometimes I have to do this more than once to get them to connect. Other times, the app will show " audio streaming" when there is no audio playing on my phone and all other apps are shut down. I may have to go through the whole process above to get them to show "All Around." I would love to be able to put the aids in in the morning, connect to the app, and go. Sometimes I can. Other times it takes me 10 minutes to get it all working right. And sometimes in the middle of the day, it disconnects. I need the app to use the noise filter. By the way, I consider myself tech savvy so this is not the problem.

Not so smart:. Having had my Resmed hearing aids for over 2 years I have built up many favourites, now I find they are all gone. What a waste of time.

Not a smart app yet. I am sick of switching demo mode on and off every time I wanting to connect to hearing. Told by rep to look for updates still looking.!!!!

Apple Watch Complication. All in all the app works very well with my LiNX Quattro CIC aids. I can make adjustments on my watch and iPhone. The only thing I cannot get to work is the Watch complication. The Smart 3D app appears as a complication but it cannot be chosen on any watch face. Fix this and I would give it 5 stars.

Pair with Apple Watch. I recently left a review and asked for assistance in pairing with an Apple Watch. The developers sent me an email with a step by step guide and it worked perfectly. Thank you Resound. Pakman2294

Beyond belief. I paid 12.5 k for my hearing aids and it takes me about an hour each and EVERY time I pair the aids up to my phone Beyond belief

Unable to pair to app. I have an iphone xs and hearings aids are rechargeable version. I have been able to pair the hearing aids to the accessibility option on the iphone but the app is stuck on the screen that takes you to the settings area even though they are paired. If I close the app it repeats the option to pair them!

App Support is BRILLIANT helped with issues. Hi Guys, A big shout out for quickly helping me sort out the iOS 15.4 / Smart 3D problem I had. By following the steps provided for doing a system refresh, the issue was resolved and both my Resound and Cochlear devices now work in again in bi-modal mode as well as their respective Hearing Device Apps are also functioning properly. Sincere Thanks.

MD. Very happy with everything

Great people poor devices both hearing aids and “app”. Had nothing but problems with app and devices. App always disconnects. Nothing but problems with resound hearing aids. Too many joints in the device hence more potential failure points. All in one hearing aids will be my next device. People support has been good backup support from area managers non existent. Frontline support excellent...prolly because they have so much customer service practice supporting this product.

IOS 13 update. App worked very well till I updated to IOS 13. Now it won’t connect with my hearing aids. Please restore connectivity.

Watch. Can this app be made to stand alone? I brought an Apple Watch to be able to leave my phone at home, but this app on the watch still requires the phone to be close to work. Please make it stand alone.

Smart 3D app. This app doesn’t come up to my expectations for my top-of-the-line hearing aids. The software’s performance is not in a par with its hardware.

Great app. I love this app. It’s absolutely great. I also use my Apple Watch which I very handy. Thanks again for your app

App has gone to pot. This app constantly asks you to agree to new T&C for Resound Assist. It acknowledges you have accepted and then asks you to do it again...and again, and between programs. It will also regularly disconnect from the aids and when you try to reconnect you find they will not unless you hard boot the phone, recycle the aid or both. Effectively the aids and the app are a package and coming close to being useless. Not a good look for expensive kit.

App stops working. App stops working. Taking ages to pair if out have to wait to get home to fix it. This has happen on and off for months. Have gone back to get it checked out.

Useless. App has become useless as it will not pair with my hearing aids and cannot therefore be used . Expensive hearing sides which promised the world via this app but have failed to deliver most of the promised features. How about rectifying this problem ? It should not be that difficult to pair a device.

Latest app upgrade a disaster. If it ain’t broke, why fix it. New app nothing but trouble I will be looking for another brand next time PaulStuartNichols28

App not working. Staff at Bay Audio Hinkler shopping centre told me that the problem with my aid is the fact that you are having problems with the app - how long do you think before this is rectified - my aid connects to the app but that’s where it stops - no sound!

No connection. Very disappointed. My hearing aids never are never connected. Have deleted app and reinstalled still to no avail. Hearing aids have been check!

Great app. At last app is spot on . No problems whatsoever since update. Very happy. Regards John

Connection enhancement. The app allows for quick and easy transition between various environments or to stream television or computer audio with the use of the TV streamer. Without the app my HAs would be far less effective.

Not working. I have a new iPhone 15 the app will not connect to my hearing aid I have tried many times and it is just not working Hearing aid works but the app just won’t connect all sorts of solutions on google but none help and the faq is useless The app is up to date No issues with previous phones ( other than connectivity ). Now there’s no connection at all so I can’t wear my hearing aid as it is essentially useless

Ios 15.4 breaks link. Hi, I have just updated my iPhone X to IOs 15.4 and my phone won’t connect to my hearing aids. Please help.

Does not work. Terrible. Apparent upgrade, but what’s the use of fancy tech stuff if You can’t even link to the app? I a) am wearing working Resound aids, b) have checked my phones settings have hearing aids connected, c) the resound Demo app shows that my hearing aids are both connected via Bluetooth. However. From a fresh app download it asks to connect hearing aids but never finds them, just saying ‘Retry’ . The only option it gives is to ‘exit to Demo mode’. So... Delete app, re-download app, try again, doesn’t work, etc, etc, et Kafka. The ‘update’ could Possibly have rectified this, as I have seen others complaining of same problem.

Erratic connection. It’s been working fine for over a year but recently it often doesn’t connect wirelessly to my hearing aids. I have the latest software version. Update: problem solved following prompt response from developer support. 2nd update: stopped working again. Followed on the support advice, problem fixed for a few days then it won’t connect again.

Good but?. App is very helpful but why is there always an alert on MyResound when all has been checked by my audiologist? I have deleted & restored several times.

Connection issues. When connecting, the app often requires the aid to be switched off and on again. Sometimes it doesn’t ask - it just waits! Forever. My other aid is a Cochlear unit and always just works. It remembers its settings too.

Customer support. Good service

Really!!. A whole month now and my devices have not worked! Whose fault is this? Not mine - that’s for damn sure!! Resound / Apple - sort this out!!!!!!! Come on!!

Update iOS 15.1 huge problems. Apple or Resound? Reboot app. Slow Bluetooth connectivity. Volume change so slow and flicks to different settings left and right Aid. Will only work on watch when app open in iPhone. $9k Hearing aids just over 3 yrs old so out of warranty - before this iOS update everything worked fine and it was 5star. DEVELOPER please talk with Apple re MFI connection asap.

Either app or hearing aids. Not much chop, aids keep dropping out - one or the other. Needs work

Resound not so smart 3D- App still not working despite updated.. Had some major bugs with the app not recognising my hearing aid, despite the fact it’s paired with the phone. I tried all your usual reset buttons, and nothing worked. Switching to demo mode, then turning demo mode off, worked. Edit: I finally got on to customer service, who sent me some steps to fix the issue. The solution turned out to be temporary, and needs to be repeated every time I turn my hearing aid off, or step out of range of my phone. It’s been nearly a month since this started for me, and I’m disappointed that this issue has not been rectified. 2nd edit- 2 months later: Revised review to to one star due to the fact no resolution appears to be forthcoming. 3rd edit- 5 months later: Finally! The app works!

Need more work from developers. The App has so major issues with iOS13 release it no longer works properly with Bluetooth and all the audio setting are messed up, Bluetooth is a major issue in particular, really disappointing and had to remove app completely.

Hearing aid. It is really good being able to manage the hearing aid through the app

No Review. Thanks

It’s so glitchy. I’ve had this app and my hearing aids for 2 weeks. The app was great, when it worked. To be able to change the settings etc on the phone was wonderful. But it just won’t connect now. Eventually it does connect. But now it’s not responding. Nothing works. I can’t use it. The app is problematic. Please fix it as I can’t bare the wrong settings in these hearing aids which are difficult to get used of in the first place! Workout this app the hearing aids are useless.

UNRELIABLE. This app repeatedly disconnects from the hearing aids for no apparent reason. Reconnection works only occasionally unless you delete the app and reinstall. It also drains the battery, 91% in half a day. It is more convenient to use the basic Settings/Accessibility/Hearing Devices link on the iPhone.

Reviews. It has definitely helped me with my clients as I find many Australians do not speak clearly like the British for example. And they seemed to have marbles in their mouth. I recommend these hearing help it could change your life.

Resound Smart 3D. Latest update (1week ago) will not let the app refresh in the background so now it has to reboot every time you want to make any adjustment. A damn nuisance because anything can stop the app reloading then you have to reboot your phone. Because it will not refresh the Apple Watch will not sync correctly unless you have the phone app open on the screen.

Hands free. When I’m taking the call it cuts out the outside sounds and I think that it is dangerous, it should sound the same as if you take a call and holding the phone at your ear including the other sound around you. That should be implemented in the next update please

Enjoying the app, need more. I really enjoy using the app for my new Resound Quattro. One small improvement I ask is I actually want to change the equaliser settings on the noise filter and the Audiologist says that it is not possible. So for e.g the button ‘Noise Filter’ is meant to be a shortcut to a setting I should want to use, but it is not exactly to my liking and so I click it and then (using app) make afew tweaks and I am there!! The few tweaks should be configured into the button obviously as I want that to be my default for noise filter... if the buttons within the program can be made configurable by the Audiologist that would be a good enhancement. I have other suggestions too (music and phone calls require different equaliser) but this is a review not a forum so I will leave it there.

Love it. I love the app I just wish there was better range and a better customisation and what i really wish is for an app like this on my Xbox series x or my PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 instead of having too take my hearing aids out too put headphones on it would be much easier for all us gamers who have hearing aids too send the consoles audio directly too the Bluetooth hearing aids

Resound hearing aids.. I have just purchased my hearing aids and find them marvellous. The fact that you can fine tune them in your smartphone or iPad is very convenient. Recommend highly.

Low battery. When your battery is low , there is a box that pops up and kets you know which hearing aid battery is low. Then it ask you to please insert a fresh one. Click ok . I can not click ok, nothing happens the app freezes. Now i have to delete the app and reinstalled and re pair my hearing aids. Can you please fix this.

Connexion. La rapidité d’ouverture et de connexion de l’application devrait être augmentées. Souvent, l’application ne reconnaît pas l’un de mes appareils auditifs. Je dois redémarrer mon téléphone.

Agreement Keeps Popping Up. I have an issue since updating. The agreement keeps popping up everytime I open the app. Very annoying. Please fix!

Since iOS update. Since the new iOS update the Bluetooth can crackle and at times and only one hearing aid will switch on. The app needs to have an update to fix this. My iPhone is less then 3 feet away from my hearing aids and the battery is fully charged. Please update the app to follow the updates from Apple.

Notification problem. Like another reviewer, I also have a notification that won’t go away since the software update. Not a big deal but annoying.

Updated: Good app, only minor issues. ***Updated version now supports iOS 13. Thanks Dev team! The app works well, minor issues with it not remembering my tinnitus settings, but very easy to change it back to what I need. The interface is fairly clean and modern, easy to figure out what I need to do in it. Would like the ability to remove one of the presets (phone program) and replace it with my own custom program though so that when I press the hearing aid button I can cycle to my custom program instead of the phone program.

Costco hearing aid. Works great… happy, but can’t find it in the manufacturer’s website. How do I get software upgrades?

Worked once. Only worked for my first pair, I lost one, replaced it, now this app will not work/forget/or pair new one. I deleted app, reinstalled, will not recognize items despite saying they were at one time paired. Definitely NOT for single seniors, if you can buy another type of hearing device to avoid this unfriendly app.

Was not working on IPad but Problem was solved satisfactory. Followed all the instructions and reloaded the App. Totally frustrating. Need help. Update: had to go the following process: Setting >Privacy>Bluetooth and turning the switch on the right of the Smart 3D. Thank Resound Support

Hearing aid app. Instead of improving this app is worse than the app I had 3 years ago. Only one side works and I can’t shut out the noise when I use streaming. It’s frustrating to use and I’m at the point of delete and use my iPhone headset

Doesn’t connect to hearing aids with latest iOS update. This was working before but can’t connect to the hearing aids in iOS 13.1.3. The hearing aids show that their connected on the iPhone settings > accessibility > hearing devices screen but the Resound Smart 3D app can’t connect to the hearing aids

Wont connect. Just quit connecting. Use ios13.2.3.

Resound 3D app won’t detect hearing aids for me.. Bluetooth control of hearing aids works fine from iPhone 6 native hearing aid function but 3D app won’t detect and freezes. New batteries, rebooting etc makes no difference. Uninstalled and reinstalled several times. No published troubleshooting help from Resound. App doesn’t do what guide says it does for my iPhone 6. I’m disappointed to say the least.

Cannot connect to my hearing aid. With recent updates, it consistently cannot connect to my hearing aid till i reboot my iphone. I need to reboot my iphone once every couple of days for it to connect.

Actually it is terrible. I was advised to buy Resound because it’s designed for iPhone. Big mistake! Do not buy Resound hearing aids because your audiologist or provider says they have a specially designed app for iPhone. What i find most annoying is every morning my setting volumes in each different setting seems to change. I dont want to spend time every day resetting this! The app regularly does NOT open so my volumes on the devices need to be changed manually. It’s doing it right now and this will be the 4th time I’ve had to delete, reinstall, then reset my volumes etc. This is not acceptable! It is a pain in the asset Ive had to delete and download 3 times since i got this in July. Called tech support and while they were helpful , yet again a notification comes on. But its my volume settings that want to remain fixed until I change them

Not happy. Needs an up date my hearing aids crackle and cut out since my iPhone update

Horrible app. Since the operating system update the app seldom works Tv streaming fails constantly Hearing aid clinic claims the fault is with the app but after several months no progress

Expensive garbage. These randomly change volume or switch to audio streaming (when no streaming is going on). I’ve tried everything, as has my audiologist. It’s terrible in high noise situations like restaurants regardless of how it’s programmed, and in quiet areas for some reason it lowers the volume. I have an IPhone 13, ReSound and Apple software is up to date, so I can only think it’s the hearing aids. I spend way too much time daily fiddling with the volume so it’s not too low - because of automatic changes I seem to have no control over. Do NOT recommend and would not repurchase.

A pain in the b- Ty. This app has driven me crazy from day one. They constantly improve it, but it never works consistently or optimally. If my hearing aids hadn’t cost me more than a used car, I’d dump them tomorrow.

Awesome App. Great tool for controlling my hearing aids. I especially like the volume control.

Poor. Very poor APP. Switches modes on me for no reason. Locks up and has to be rebooted often. Has to be deleted then re downloaded. Not very stable.

Happy with hearing aids. Happy with my hearing aids and the variety of settings for different environments

Super. Être en Bluetooth est vraiment fantastique pour l audition et tous les matins je peux vérifier si mes aides auditives sont en bon état de fonctionner.

Won’t Stay Connected. The app and hearing aids work great, but they won’t stay connected to my iPhone 13. When you pay this much for technology it should not require a daily ritual of deleting the app, unpairing the hearing aids, reinstalling and repairing them from scratch. Disappointed to say the least.

Cannot exit demo mode — can’t locate hearing aids. Worthless.... phone accessed aids the app cannot.

IOS 13 update. Since the last update my video sound while using my aids on Bluetooth will not transmit to the hearing aids. This includes my cell phone, news video and various audio apps. The aids appear to load and I can hear the ping within the app but it will not work outside the app. Hope you can resolve this soon

Audition. De temps à autre j’ai un peu de difficulté à avec les paramètres.

Resound must fix this app!. It seems that updates simply do not work reliably. Bluetooth is spotty at best. Both ears kick in and out without any apparent reason, while I am seated. I can no longer access my hearing aid controls through my iPhone 7 and can no longer get the clip on mic to work. I advise people to look for another brand of hearing aid. I will be switching once mine no longer work manually. At ca. CAN $6,000 I am disappointed.

App disconnects. Occasionally the app drops my hearing aids and the only way I can get connected again is by reloading the app. Even though the app. can’t see the hearing aids they are connected to my iPhone as seen in the “settings”. Please correct this problem ASAP.

Notifications. Now since update I have one notification that won’t go away

Connectivity to iPhone AWFUL!. Have iPhone 6, app keeps dropping connection to the phone. This issue has been happening for almost a year now. You would think Resound would be all over this problem. Connection with the iPhone is a key reason for buying Resound hearing aids.

Terrible, App needs allot of work. The app not only has to be reinstalled at every update, I lose my saved presets every time as well. Very frustrating. Never mind the constant drops of Bluetooth -Now it won’t even connect with hearing aids at all. This app is terrible. Zero stars. Is there a way to have a 3rd party app? Something that is more reliable this this ?

Unreliable. I’ve had days when the hearing aids will not hock up to my iPad without turning my iPad off than back on a couple of times. Even than sometimes doesn’t work so go and try turning on my iPhone (only use when away from the house) what does it do 1 hearing aid hocks up to the iPhone and the other hocks up to the iPad (forgot to turn the iPad off). I don’t know if it’s the app or the hearing aids put will change the program that I use. They will also change volume on its own. Sept 2023 Today I had to completely reconnect to my iPhone, it said thanks for your new hearing aids, got them in 2019 ????

Volume. It’s hard to set the volume level A + and - will make it easier to adjust on the phone.

This update bricked my tinnitus support. PLEASE fix this ASAP!!!! This latest update just bricked my tinnitus support in my profiles. I am no longer able to use the vol slider or mute / turn up. The profiles are stuck at whatever vol they were defaulted on or none at all. I’m a tinnitus sufferer and it’s the only reason I just got these $4k hearing aids which are completely useless to me now. PLEASE FIX ASAP!!!

Poor reliability with IOS 10x. The app worked quite well until iPhone IOS 10 system upgrade. Just to be clear, I really like this app that can filter unwanted noises or sounds and improve my ability to hear greatly. I also like being able to route phone calls through my hearing aids. However, The app has not performed reliably since the IOS 10 and subsequent upgrades, even with the latest IOS upgrade. The app will suddenly disconnect with my Hearing aids. It may start working once I put them on in the morning (they re-charge overnight), then suddenly disconnect for no apparent reason and can be quite difficult to get them connected again. Or they may work fine all day then won’t connect the next day. I can sometimes get it back but then it often disconnects from one hearing aid. At time’s, it will suddenly connect again. Deleting the app and re-installing it and following the suggestions the company has offered doesn’t always work and should not have to be done on a regular basis. Not a very good promotion of their app if that had to be done constantly. The issue seems to be that the app needs a serious upgrade to deal with these issues that I and apparently many others are experiencing. The company really needs to take this seriously and upgrade the app to deal with these bugs and not just give out bandaid solutions that don’t deal with the original issues we are experiencing. Please fix!

Garbage. This app is garbage and it’s annoying as hell that it’s the only app I can use with my hearing aids. At least once a week it stops working and then I have to pair my aids to my phone again. The having to put them in the case and take them out repeatedly is so stupid. Any other hearing device, just turn them on and pair them but these require taking off me ears and putting them back on multiple times to pair them. Do better! For the money I spent on these this app should be flawless.

Crackle. Deleted the app, haven’t fixed the crackle.

Right ear will not connect. After many many reloads of the app I am frustrated. Get the fix complete to align with the Apple update

Option to turn off the nag screen. No option to disable the nag screen for the data gathering. The answer is no!

Unreliable. The title says it all in one word unreliable! Frustrating! The app switched to demo mode, it does not reliably recognize my hearing aids. It have to reconnect on a daily bases. Tried to update the app and it stopped at 95%. It is no longer useable!

Needs an Update. App will not connect with Quattro hearing aids. Aids are paired with iphone, according to Accessibility but since iOS update to 13.4.1, the app is useless.

Demo. As soon as I turn this feature off it won’t connect to my hearing aids and Demo remains open. I’ve rebooted my phone and reinstalled the app. It’s a real pain. I love using your app and have been for four years.

Smart 3D App. The App is easy to use and an essential need to complement hearing aid use.

Works sporadically with IOS 13. This used to be a reliable app that worked well. In the good old days (one month ago) I could stream music to my device. With the latest iOS update it works sporadically. Disappointing

Bluetooth problems. Since the most recent update I’ve been unable to connect Bluetooth. For the past few years it's been fine but not since the update.

Terrible app. World’s worst hearing aid app, still no improvement

No review. Not now

No working on iPhone 13. What am I doing wrong, installed/deleted/switched on/off, Nothing

Not Working. When first purchased my hearing aids this app worked great. After several months the app freezes in demo mode even after I have reset numerous times. Not user friendly and I do not recommend this app. I am going for the second time back to Costco, as they thought it was an iPhone glitch which it is not.

Worse with updates. I am on my 2nd pair of Resound hearing aids. App worked reliably with 1st pair 5 years. Helped find lost HA’s manny tomes. Best feature of the app. 2nd pair experienced increasing problems with app. in first few months of use. Then stopped working with the app. Second pair HA’s sent in for repair and were replaced with a new pair. The new HA’s won’t pair with my iPhone. Now 2 yr old & out of warranty. Have latest update for phone. Have deleted and downloaded the app 3 times. I have spent thousands of dollars on Resound HA’s & your app just gets worse & worse. Really disgusted.

Where did my connectivity go?. For the last month I’ve had the same problems as the reviewer ahead of me. My hearing aid will give me the glissando that tells me they are hooked up for the TV but my phone tells me via ‘Status’ that they are not connected or that I need a new battery, even when I’ve just put in a new battery. Screen shifting, all kinds of work around usually get me connected within 10 minutes—a process that used to happen automatically.

Very reliable. This is my third brand of hearing aid and I’m very pleased with it. It also works with my cochlear implant and both stream to my phone which makes talking on the phone enjoyable again. I have regained my independence with making any necessary as well as social phone calls. I also have a lot of different options with making adjustments to sounds and situations via the Resound app!

Great app. I love the hearing aids but the app doesn’t always work for changing the volume from my Apple Watch. Also, there have been times when I’ve lost the Bluetooth connection in only one of the hearing aids. The only way I know how to remedy this is to take the disconnected device out of my ear and restart it. I hope Resound is aware of these bugs and working to fix them.

Resound GN. Very satisfied with the sound quality. I did not know anything about hearing-aids prior to purchasing my first pair. I didn't know that wires and tips would wear out so quickly. I also didn't know that the hearing aids will not pair with my Apple computer or cell phone. I was informed of that fact only upon investigation a couple of months later. Would have been nice to have known prior to purchase.

App quality. The app will cut off after 20 seconds into a podcast, but does fine with music. The quality often sounds tinny even though I’ve increased the bass and not totally dependable during a conversation. The settings on the app don’t necessarily correspond with what you’re interested in getting, you have to play with them, such as the restaurant noise settings, don’t take them literally. Overall I’m not impressed with the app

Unacceptably poor performance. I have used this app since it became available and it has never performed reliably. It has always had significant issues with connection and access and operability. Most recently and profoundly frustrating Lee the application now regularly requires me to completely repair my hearing aids. This problem persists even after uninstalling and reinstalling the application and turning on and turning off the hearing aids and the Bluetooth on my phone. I use the streaming function and this application very regularly every single day and this poor performance is a substantial frustration for me. Please dedicate more resources to development on this important application soon.

Resound In-the-ear-canal Hearing AIDS. My resound in ear canal hearing aids are the most natural, clear and realistic sounding hearing aids I’ve ever used! I actually wear them in light musical settings being a professional musician. My only complaint is certain pitches or tones attenuate and compress out of the blue. If I’m playing a guitar and I hit a D natural, the hearing aids will compress regardless of how much I try to program the compression out of my device if resound could fix that they would be my hero!

App not working right for sound enhancer. I noticed that the sound enhanced feature is no longer working right. When I go to the sound enhancer, the sliders for treble, Bass, and middle are not stable and keep bouncing up and down. Also the treble or bass buttons don’t stay engaged. Used to work great. I tried the steps of unpairing, removing app, turning off phone, reinstalling app and repairing and didn’t solve problem.

ReSound 3D Hearing Aids. JOSHUA CRUZ @ CRUZ HEARING was recommended to me when I had almost given up on restoring normal hearing. I have recommended him and demonstrated my ReSound 3D aids to countless others, showing them all the adaptations available with this hearing aid and praising my audiologist for his knowledge, patience, compassion and willingness to assist with any difficulties I have or have had in this endeavor. I am now able to hear traffic warnings, children, and the smallest avians outside my window. I am thankful.

Apple Watch app unpredictable. I’m using your Customs with iPhone 12 Pro and am having difficulty getting the Apple Watch app to work properly. I usually get a connection error. It appears that if the iPhone app doesn’t have the Smart 3d app in focus, the watch app won’t connect. Is this a limitation of the Apple Watch app or a software issue. It would be nice if you could control the hearing aids without having the phone app in focus.

Bluetooth Issues. I have an iPhone 13 and every time I have to use the app to adjust settings (restaurant, outdoor, etc.), I have to close the app completely, disconnect Bluetooth, reconnect it, then open the app again for it to connect. The moment I go away from the app, not closing it, I have to do the process all over again. It’s extremely frustrating, and it doesn’t matter that my phone is on my person or right next to me. Otherwise, when it stays connected it works great.

Ditto of what Faraday3 said but add on continuing beeping!. I’m so fed up with these HAs. One of the selling points was the app to make adjustments in different settings. You can’t do that if HAs will not connect to app. Today, only the right HA would connect. But the left one kept chiming. About every 4-5 minutes. Extremely annoying that I just removed them. This intermittent chiming has been going on since my provider was finally able to get them repaired. She blames it on my iPhone. If Apple makes a software update that messes with this app, why are you not quicker to update the app?

Hearing Aids cannot connect to App. My hearing aids are connected to the phone, my Apple phone, however, they cannot connect to the app. I’ve deleted the app, and I have downloaded the app again and again. For some reason the hearing aids do not connect to the app. My doctor tested them with his phone and the same thing happened - hearing aids connect to the iPhone but do not connect to the app. My hearing doctor doesn’t know what the problem is. I get no help from the app on how to connect the phone lto the app.

Letter to Dev team. Thanks for the improvements. In the next increments could you work on: -Improving connection time between HA and opening the app. -switching between Apple devices -meaning when I want to switch from the iPhone to the iPad, the switch goes through instead of having to restart the HAs and restart Apple devices. The app is improving! Thanks for your work!! (And thanks for responding to my suggestions :-)

Rechargeable ok, battery better. I am 80% deaf. Have worn other brands, but my 1st pair of Resound battery operated was a God send. I could hear! My second pair of Resound is a learning experience. Not completely sold on rechargeable; I can hear, but my comprehension is not as clear as with my battery operated ones. But both are 95% better than previous different brands.

Almost useless with iPhone XR. I upgraded to the iPhone XR yesterday. The Smart 3D app constantly loses communication with my Resound hearing aids. The only solution is to put the hearing aids back in the charger and then restart the app and hope they reconnect. Sometimes it takes two or three attempts. The hearing aids will stay connected until the app is closed. It might or might not reconnect when the app is opened again. Makes the app about useless!

Last Update is a Leap Backwards. The recent update that asks me each time I open it, “Do you have a hearing aid” is useless and non functional. Even when it finally figures out my hearing aids are connected, it does not offer a path back to the part of the app with the different environments and adjustments. It only asks whether I want to exit the pairing process or go to Demo mode, even though my iPhone Settings know the aids are connected. Nothing works - restarting the phone (13 Pro), deleting and re-installing the app, nothing. Ran previous versions of the app on an iPhone 8 Plus, an 11, and now a 13 Pro, but the update is more time-consuming and less functional.

Good but not well integrated with iOS and not as reliable as some apps.. This app has improved over the last few years. (I have been using it for almost five years.) The geolocation works reliably now. Although still has problems connecting to iPhone, it seems more reliable. The iOS accessibility says it is connected and the app doesn’t. Restarting the app usually fixes it. Things I would like to have are: 1) An automatic car mode. My insurance company’s app knows when I am driving and so does iOS. Reducing car noise is critical. 2) I go to several restaurants and it would be easier if geolocation could support multiple places on one setting. 3) i have a number of iOS shortcuts. This app does not support shortcuts.

Omnia HA keeps dropping connection to APP. I’ve been wearing my Omnia HA since January 27 of this year. I have the iPhone 13, IOS 16.1.1 and the latest version of the Resound Smart 3D app. Whenever I leave my house without my phone the HA disconnects from the app. I have to shut off the HA and restart it to reconnect to the app. In the reviews it says this is the latest version of the app and it’s supposed to have resolved the connectivity issues. Very frustrating.

Easy to Use, but Not Always Working Properly. This App is easy to use and has a “friendly” interface for users to tailor the sound and functions of their ReSound hearing aids; the problem is that commonly, the hearing aids don’t connect to the app. Whether this is the hearing aids themselves, a Bluetooth connection, or the app, it’s annoying to have to again pair the hearing aids with my phone to use the app.

Much improved hearing. This is a great way to improve tv hearing. You can adjust the volume, select either or both on/off, reduced surrounding noise, allow the tv volume to be off while streaming with the hearing aids. The restaurant setting is also great. It increases the hearing by the various settings. The one thing I dislike is that occasionally one aid will disconnect and I will have to turn the phone off and then back on to reset the aids to normal.

New update drops hearing aids from program. Streaming on the tv the app doesn’t connect to hearing aids to switch back to all around or any program. I have to physically turn off the hearing aids to turn off the streamer. I drop connectivity a lot. One hearing will have sound the other one will not. This happens all the time even before the update. I really do like the hearing aids, that’s why I put up with these problems.

Resound app. I’ve used this app with no problems till about a month ago. I stay on top of updates. Audiologist has checked too. When I get up, I make sure aid is connected. Every once in a while it disconnects again during the day without warning. Tried to contact developer, can’t get through to one. I’ve had my iPhone 13 for almost two years. I’m getting frustrated that I have to stop and reconnect to use phone.

Re Sound hearing aid program. I have used the ReSound program for the past five years. I have been very pleased with the presets in the program All Around, Resturant, and Out Doors. I use hem with great success. I have special settings for buildings I go into and the ReSound allows me to adjust to my surroundings so I can better hear and understand.

Problem persists. The app is very poorly designed. There is no support from the developer. If I had another choice, I would drop this horrible app. However, I’m stuck with hearing aids that will only pair with this inferior app. Beware of Resound hearing aids. They are expensive and their app fails to work. Do not buy the TV connection because the app crashes whenever you make a minor change to your Home Screen. No connection for minutes. I cannot understand any spoken dialogue. App will not exit demo. Hearing aids are useless now. Sorry I ever bought these hearing aids and the TV link.

A very useful app when it works. The application mostly works. I have an iWatch and the app will run on it. When it works, it is very useful in changing the settings in the hearing aids! However, it seems like the watch won’t connect when the hearing aid batteries get low at the end of the day … between 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm you can count on the watch not connecting to the aids! There are other spurious issues that are usually cleared by powering the iPhone off and on. For example, this evening it working change modes.

Maddog19. This is my 2nd set of Resound Hearing Aids. I loved my first pair…but these newer ones seem like a leap in technology from my earlier ones. I love my Resounds; and I always recommend them to my friends. I was a Helicopter Gunship Pilot in Vietnam and hence my hearing loss. I actually do NOT have to say, “Huh, say again, once all over”., when someone says something, IF I have my Resounds in…Maddog 19, out!!!!

The best new feature of my hearing aids. Since I have upgraded to the newer model of hearing aids I have found that the features have been fine tuned to help me better select tone and direction of sound. The most convenient aspect of this new hearing aid is that the charger has a battery so when we go away for a couple of days I don’t need to bring wires and cords to charge them. Great idea

Connectivity issues. I’ve really been enjoying my new hearing aids along with this application. Connectivity is an issue though. If I don’t have my iPhone directly in front of me the hearing aids drop connections. For example, if I’m listening to music and put my phone in my back right pocket the left hearing aid drops its connection. Any ideas on how to improve connections?? Thank you.

Smart App. Overall I like my hearing aids smart app but sometimes it’s difficult to know which control to use to lower the volume depending on my whereabouts. And at times, the hearing aids don’t connect to the app properly. For example, it says that the battery is okay for both yet I can only hear out of one hearing aid.

Asking for consent. Asking for consent every single time I open the app. I provide consent, go through entire motion, and the app says thank you for consent. Very next day, or next hour, asking for consent. It’s ridiculous. I am not talking once or twice. But over and over over, many times a day. This is a newer issue. Not sure how long, but long enough that I have no interest accessing the app, but I need to communicate with my provider. If I give consent, it should last for a day or two. Seriously. Clean it up.

Off like a herd of turtles.. My wife of 52 years just passed last December the turtle remark rest on our Military Wall in Dublin Va. Having been a user or more than 20 years, I come to realize that it was essential for older people to have hearing aids so you could tell what your wife was actually saying, no more “what, hon.” Maybe not completely no more “What honey” but certainly a lot less. In Life everything matters some things matter more than others. Hearing is taking for granted and loss is being copped with. New hearing aids work well but less well after some further adjustments. Not clear why. Hearing aid incredibly well made need to be a bigger pard of health care. No need live long with low quality of life.

Cannot connect hearing aids to Apple Watch through app anymore. Hi there, Resound app has been a great experience thus far but the past couple of weeks I have not been able to connect my hearing aids to my Apple Watch via the app. Both my phone and watch are updated and I have tried resetting my watch but no luck. I have no trouble with the phone app. Any tips?

Update to Broken App. I recently encountered an issue where the ReSound 3D app disconnected from my hearing aids when opening another app or locking my iPhone which also prevented the ability to launch the app on my Apple Watch. ReSound Consumer Technical Support quickly identified my problem and I am a happy camper again. Even during the time I was experiencing an issue with the app, I still recommend ReSound hearing aids as well as this app.

iOS 15.4. Don’t know whose fault but my battery powered Resound aids no longer work with latest iOS update 15.4. Worked fine yesterday. I can control the hearing aids from my phone but not through the app with its customizable features. Beware the upgrade! Update: one day later iOS 15.4.1 and reloading and updating App info, I’m back in the game!

Great app and HA’s with one small hiccup. First off the tinnitus masker has been a game changer for falling/staying asleep, reading/studying etc. and is what I primarily use them for. My only complaint I have with the app is for some reason it won’t save my setting in the favorites. I go through the motions to do so but the next time the app is opened my save is gone. Other than that one small inconvenience, it’s been great!

5 years and still enjoying this app. Just had my hearing aids “refurbished” bu Costco and updated the app and it is srill all working great. The App allows me to control the hearing aids easily and specifically. I have also created a new custom environment which I can use easily when I go to the live theater. Fhe hearing aids would be much less effective without this App and much harder to manage and know what is going on.

App very hard to use. Couldn’t get hearing aids to connect several times and yes I tried every troubleshooting steps Somehow I turned on background noise??? and couldn’t find where to turn off. Instructions are far from complete. Simple volume adjustments and a few other things are great to have but other features are only available on the side button press 3 times trick (not in instructions).

Resound Model C-1 Hearing Aids. I love these hearing aids! I’ve tried several over the counter hearing aids and they can’t compare to Resound’s quality. I have “severe” hearing loss and these hearing aids actually work. They are very small, comfortable for all day use. The batteries are rechargeable, and last more than a day, probably longer, but I charge them at night and put them on in morning, and wear them till bedtime. I highly recommend them. They are worth the investment.

Confusing changes. When I got my hearing aids in 2019, I set up favorite locations and they worked great - would automatically change when I got close to my location. Then they stopped working all together. Now, I have to go into the app each place in order to get the location to “kick in.” There is never a notification that the app features have changed, nor how to navigate those changes. I’m somewhat tech savvy for a 68 year old, but have problems.

Better sound quality. I recommend these hearing aids but the sound quality should be better. They also are unstable depending on the quality of your Internet. If you have a slow Internet your hearing aids will cut out when using the app. If you turn off the Bluetooth then they are fine. They are subtle and sometimes you don’t know if they are working. The app functions well and the filters do help a lot. When it comes to hearing music they’re not very good.

Spotty app at best. The app constantly messes up my settings. If I happen to do a live listen, I can’t ever get the thing to go off live listen, even when clicking “end live listen”. I have to delete the hearing aids from my phone and then add them back in. And half the time, they won’t connect back to my phone. The app just says “connecting”. It also doesn’t tell you that in order to pair, you actually have to go to your iPhone settings. It just sits on “connecting” or tells you it can’t connect, with no reason why except to check that you aren’t connected to another device (I’m not). It’s probably the most frustrating app I’ve ever used.

Can’t connect. Revised Review: I received a timely response from the developer and it solved my issues! I now can access my iPhone. Such a relief because of the dependence with the extra stuff the app provides the user. Original review:I updated my iOS to 15.4 and now I am unable to link to my iPhone. I have reloaded the app , restart many times to no avail. Before the update everything was great! I like this app when it’s working and relying on it! Please help.

New user app let downs. Coming from a Widex trial I have noticed a few let downs immediately with this app with my customs. No watch widget for quick access to the app. This was awesome on the other brand. Switching programs is far from seamless. Audio drop out occurs when changing programs while the aids reconfigure. This has the unfortunate side affect of me missing what is said to me during a program change and having to ask for it to be repeated. Did not happen on the other brand. BUG. It is not documented but if you have Optimize MFI connections enabled it breaks the watch app. With that enabled the watch app needs the iPhone app to be open and in focus to work .

Resound Smart. I have been wearing Resound Hearing Aids for the past fifteen years. I suffer from a high frequency hearing loss. I believe I am on my 6th pair now and the first rechargeable pair I have owned. I had no trouble installing batteries, but I like the rechargeable pair. Bluetooth has been a great feature for me when using my cellphone. To get full benefit from hearing aids you must use them daily. I have never had to get my hearing aids repaired except for bad speaker wires. I love the Resound brand. Ed Lee

Crinkle noise. For several months I’ve been experiencing a crackling noise when I try to stream audio. I’ve had both of my hearing aids replaced thinking it was some sort of short or a problem with the actual mechanics. Nope brand new aids and the same problem within two days. It is so inconsistent and unpredictable and cannot figure out why this is happening but have determined it must be the software because the hearing aids work fine on their own it only happens when I’m trying to stream. Extremely disappointed with the situation

Runs down battery on Apple Watch & Sound fluctuates when paired. I like aspects of this app, being able to find tune settings. But this app just doesn’t work properly. I have an iPhone 13 & Apple Watch, both up to date on software. Whenever I pair my aids, the sound starts fluctuating. You can see the treble, bass & sound change rapidly in Settings. When paired to my phone, my Watch battery drains within a couple hours to zero. I’ve reported these things to my audiologist who got a Resound tech involved, but the problems persist.

Frustrated. If I play a game, Trivia Crack, they go off Bluetooth and I can’t make or receive a phone call w/Bluetooth unless I restart the phone, “reconnect” the hearing aids and sometimes even have to open and shut the battery doors. So stupid and frustrating! The call connects and I hear nothing! Have to call the person back after going through all those hoops. An “upgrade” would be greatly appreciated. These are expensive!

Demo mode. I have had these aids over three years and love them, and especially the tv streaming. However, recently my app went into the demo mode and I cannot get out of it, therefore I cannot use the app to change the aids function or the tv streaming. I can pair the aids to the iPhone and also the tv streaming BUT I cant get out of the demo to use the app. It takes several days to get to my supplier and I can’t talk to anyone. My rating is for the lack of on line service and not the the aids themselves.
