The app is great! I can’t wait to see more added to it and to keep seeing updates.
Great!, 👍 just out of my price range. 👎
The quality of the app is top quality, but the business side of this app is awful... 1. To get any use of the app you need to pay 2. They don't offer any monthly payments, you have to pay up $50 up front for a 1 year subscription, no other options 3. They don't offer a free trial 😑
I Love this app! It’s sooo helpful for young minds to excel in their field of IT! Yeah THUMBS UP!!👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Promising app. A 50$ one time payment is plausible, but it's limited support makes it worth a little less. 50$ a year is ludicrous. For something that's meant for beginnings, there's nothing like a huge pay-gate to dry up those seeds of learning before they sprout.
It’s pretty neat.
Dear Mimo, I love the concept of this app and a lot of things are made quite clear and concise through the lessons. I found the introduction to hacking very straightforward. However, I see a _lot_ of mistakes in the lessons, especially typos or missing words in the exercises, which sometimes makes it unclear what the exercise is actually even about. I’ve been trying to report these kinds of things but have so far received no indication that my reports have even been received. I was also a bit disappointed by the need to pay $50/year in order to do just about anything in the app. You really should give a more in-depth preview before you force people to pay. Also, if you already have programming experience, it’s unclear if you can skip ahead to more advanced topics. Maybe the target audience is only complete beginners, but if that’s the case then the $50/year is _definitely_ not worth it. Also, as sort of a side note, the update notes here on the App Store are bugged out. How can you not have noticed that??? Please extend your preview, fix your errors, lower the cost, and add content for more advanced users. I don’t think you want people to feel like they’re being scammed. Best wishes, Ben
I apologize for not changing my review early. After emailing customer support, he told me to cancel the subscription on my phone through apple, not from the website and it worked. Thanks for the help.
Amazing. From a former engineer turn marketer. This app is amazing
Upfront costs too much
It’s great I’d love to learn more but I can’t afford to pay the fee
Easy to use great to pass on a few minutes to keep skills up to date perfect for those just getting started
This is a very good app that teaches a great deal of real life computer knowledge you probably wouldn’t get from anywhere else. The sad part is that you can only start the first part of a course before having to pay for the rest.
I only wanted to try Mimo for a month. They said it was only $6 but then I got charged for a whole year $71. I want a refund and to never use the app again
The presentation is great, but I wanted to try more of the course I was interested in, in order to decide whether to subscribe. Instead I can try a little bit of the beginnings of each course. Also, if I did try it I’d want to do just a month, not have to invest a whole years worth at once.
You need to add like a month subscription then 3 months 6 Monty’s then a year because I do not have $70 so if you add that it would be better
It’s supposedly $7 per month for premium but in reality it’s $80 per year charged yearly. That’s a big difference in what’s stated compared to what’s actually charged, especially for what is essentially two chapters of beginner programming over multiple languages. I do think there’s potential for apps to streamline the learning process, but this is really underwhelming. The gym membership approach to subscriptions doesn’t inspire confidence in their product either.
This is such a good app and I've learnt so much! I only have two things I think should change: 1. There's only the option to pay annually. There should at least be a monthly option, because a year is a long time is someone isn't sure they can commit for that long. 2. There is no way to practice what I've learnt. While I'm sure there are other apps and places online to play around with writing real code, it would be a good feature to integrate into this app.
Total newbie with zero experience and thoroughly enjoying it
Can you make the subscription Monthly pls ?? I've been using the app for a week and it's amazing, by far the best way to learn code on the go, I'm wanting to start a premium but I just want to try a monthly subscription to get a feel for the courses
I'm sure the app is good, but with all of the free learning resources out there, $50 is too expensive. Think Duolingo would be as popular as it is if they charged $50? Moving on..
pero a cada rato la aplicacion c para y sale sola
At $50 its a good deal there is a combined total of 71.5hrs of quality lessons (seems quality thus far) and chances are by the time your done with all that (You have a lot of free time) they will have released more courses..The app is well supported at an update a week or so...Well worth the buy! Especially since I got it during a 24hr sale at 50% off for $25. Steal!!
The description is all about learning how to code and hack and cool things like that. What it doesn’t mention is that after you finish lesson one that I’m pretty sure my 10 year old brother could get 100% on. You have to pay $50 a year to do anything additional. Insanely expensive considering I don’t even know the quality. 0 out of 10 would not recommend unless you have money to throw away on a potentially good app.
I just got this app and it keeps crashing on me. Now I am reevaluating if this app can really teach me how to code if it wasn't even developed properly...
This app is so bad! I’m in 8th grade and we basically are learning python programming in class. So I tried to take “free” lessons, and use this app. But then I couldn’t take my second lesson, python data types. Because I had to pay 4$ or so! I’m so mad right now!!😡😠
I’m totally new to programming! When I first downloaded this app, I had ZERO programming knowledge. This app starts off with the basics and builds up at a very comfortable pace. It is extremely easy to use and is very clear to understand. I’ve just recently passed the Beginners course and am now working on building my first small app with the help of Mimo! I’m really looking forward to continue my education with this platform! let mimo = “Best Swift Programming App”
Not really a great idea to start off having people go through making a profile for the app and giving one free lesson and then having them pay for 99.9% of the rest of the app. I'm just saying.
Great app very interactive and helpful would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to learn knew things about computers
